Ally lies in bed comfortably, running her fingers gingerly through Lauren's hair. She takes her time as she parts it into sections. At the end of each strand, she twists the hair around the tips of her pointer and middle finger effectively creating small waves. Ally smiles down at her girlfriend, taking notice of how her features are frozen in a peaceful slumber. Lauren's face rests below Ally's chest and slightly above her stomach. Their breathing is synchronized because of it. Ally looks away from her girlfriend in order to take in the room. Even though it's a cloudy morning, there's slivers of light that emanate from the window, through the slightly drawn curtain. Sleep had been easy to evade. She has been awake long enough for her eyes to fully adjust to the lack of light in the bedroom. Ally scans her eyes across the room and sees their clothes scattered throughout. A small 'oh' escapes her lips when she takes notice of the shoes lying carelessly by the door followed shortly by jeans. Ally bites her bottom lip and tries to reel in the laugh that starts bubbling in her chest. She manages by transforming it into a sly grin at the sight of her bra hanging off a lamp. Ally shifts causing the covers to slide down Lauren's body and she coos softly when Lauren grumbles sleepily. Ally doesn't move and allows Lauren to tangle their legs together in her attempt to remain warm. Lauren groans and tightens her grip around Ally's midsection. She cuddles closer to Ally when her girlfriend moves again. Ally brushes a strand of Lauren's hair from her face and gently tucks it behind her ear. "Good morning, sleeping beauty." Ally's soft hand lingers on Lauren's cheek, her thumb caressing Lauren's cheekbone. At Ally's cheery greeting, Lauren cracks an eye open halfway, but aside from that she doesn't make any other movements. She inhales deeply before shifting her body so she is laying completely on top of Ally. "No." She exhales. "That's you." A small grin etches onto her face when she feels Ally open her legs wider to further accommodate her position against the smaller girl. A small giggle comes from Ally and it turns into a full laugh the instant Lauren groans in discomfort. She brings both of her hands to cover her mouth when Lauren lifts off her body to glare at her. Ally slowly slides them off her face. "What?" She asks while innocently batting her eyes. Lauren leans back down, resting her weight on her elbows. Not once breaking eye contact with Ally. Her eyes no longer in half slits but now on full display. Her eyes dance slowly across Ally's face. They trace her girlfriend's eyebrows and connect every faint freckle spread across her face. Lauren smiles to herself when she feels Ally shift below her. "Can I help you?" Ally asks with a tentative smile on her face and inquisitive eyes. Lauren licks her lips and swallows in an attempt to rid herself of the dry feeling in her throat. Taking into consideration that she's about to speak her first words of the day, she decides to clear her throat a couple times just for good measure. "I don't know, can you?" Lauren lowers her head in response to the unamused expression on Ally's face. Her forehead rests on Ally's shoulder as she laughs silently. Once her chuckles subside, Lauren lifts her head up in order to look into her girlfriend's eyes. "I love you." She says through a tender smile. Ally draws in a lungful of air at those words, hearing that mixture of consonants and vowels, laced in Lauren's sultry tone--especially in the morning. It causes a wave of warmth to wash over her body. It starts in the middle of her chest and from there it travels through her veins, reaching every single nerve. The sensation reminds her of the first rays of sun dancing across the petals of her rose garden outside. Perhaps it's the contradiction between Lauren's breathless affirmation and the calm in her sea green eyes. Or maybe it's the rasp in her voice. Yes, it has to be that. That silky assertive voice that reverberates against Ally's chest, making her heart skip a beat. Ally doesn't get to ponder much longer because Lauren is already moving off of her. "You were being creepy." Lauren explains as she moves to Ally's side. "You were giving me the look." She motions to Ally's face with her hand. Lauren sighs and pulls the sheets up to her bare chest. Ally narrows her eyes at Lauren and crosses her arms over her own uncovered breasts. "Well, excuse me for being head over heels for you." She teases. Lauren laughs. "Yeah, yeah." She says dismissively. "You're just trying to get laid." She turns her head towards Ally who's looking at her with a sly grin. Ally hums. "Since the day we met." She winks at Lauren. They both pucker their mouths in a self-satisfied smile at the same time. It's only a matter of seconds before they burst out laughing.
-
Lauren and Ally are in their living room sitting in a comfortable silence. Lauren's back against the arm of the couch and her legs spread across the top of Ally's thighs. She's scrolling through her Instagram feed while Ally chats on the phone with a friend. For the past hour and a half, Lauren tried to get her girlfriend off the phone but all of her plans failed. No amount of pouting or soft kisses to Ally's neck were effective enough. And so, Lauren decides to simply exist beside Ally. Her left hand is tucked under her right arm. Her phone resting high on her thigh as she uses one finger to scroll down a familiar profile. It startles Lauren when she hears Ally speak. So much so that it takes her a moment to process the question addressed to her. "What's up?" She replies, her eyebrows reaching her widow's peak. A friendly tight lipped smile spreads across her face as she awaits Ally's response. Ally scoots closer and casts her eyes down to Lauren's phone. She points at the screen, "she's cute." Her eyes stay on the picture of the girl until she catches sight of Lauren lowering her gaze to the device. Only then does she zone in on Lauren's facial expression. She takes note of how Lauren bites the corner of her bottom lip, a sign that she's focusing. Ally doesn't take her eyes off her girlfriend. Lauren tilts her head to the side before nodding. "She's attractive." Her head whips up at lightning speed when she hears the unmistakable sound of a scoff leave Ally's lips. "And I mean that objectively." Lauren adds quickly. Still a little unsure of whether or not that was a rare flare of jealousy. With one glance to Ally's side profile, Lauren knew. And without a second thought she spoke again. "And you know what?" She waits for Ally to look at her then continues. "You're attractive too." She smiles. Ally narrows her eyes skeptically. "What? Objectively?" She gibes. Lauren smirks. "Subjectively." Ally curls her lips inwards to suppress the smile that's threatening to spread across her face. All the while cursing her cheeks for heating up at an alarming rate. She's positive Lauren can see just how furiously she's blushing. Ally's proven right when Lauren lifts her legs off her thighs and leans forward to press a soft kiss to her forehead. There's a shift in the environment, it happens quickly before Lauren speaks. "If you ever asked me how many times you've crossed my mind." Lauren pauses. "I would say once." She raises her hand, signaling to Ally that she should let her finish. "Because." She drawls out. "You came and never left." Ally doesn't waste another second and pulls Lauren into her by the collar of the green eyed girls shirt. Immediately crashing their lips together in a passionate kiss. When they do part it's mostly due to the need of a breath and because Ally has an important announcement. "Hazme el amor." Her voice is barely a whisper. Lauren's chest rises as it's filled with oxygen and a feeling of invincibility the moment those words reach her ears. Ally always manages to make it hard to breathe, Lauren thinks to herself briefly. Whether it's whenever she smiles or when Ally tells Lauren to make love to her, like a few seconds ago. The air seems to not make it on time to her lungs. At times she can barely breathe. Thankfully, Ally is always there patiently waiting on her.
-
Ally stands from her seat by the desk. She rolls her shoulders to release some of the tension that's accumulated there. Ally walks out of her home office with glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. She's been working for three hours straight and could really use a break. Or rather a reward. Her steps quicken at the thought of finally being able to eat one of her favorite powdered desserts. When she reaches the kitchen, she's faced with Lauren who is sporting a look usually reserved for the bedroom. Curiosity laces her voice as she speaks up. "Lauren." She continues when the girl hums in acknowledgement. "Why do you have your shirt off?" Lauren is in front of the sink, rinsing off a cup; her back to Ally as she replies. " Can't spill food on your shirt if you're not wearing one." She reaches out for a napkin to dry her hands with and turns around towards Ally in order to throw it in the trash. One glance is all it takes to make Ally's playful demeanor dissipate. She crosses her arms over her chest and juts her hip more than ready to scold Lauren. "You ate my powdered donuts." She more so states rather than accuses. Lauren's spine visibly straightens, her eyes widen and she swallows thickly. "N-no." She manages. But Ally doesn't let her off that easily. "What's that on your pants then?" She asks knowingly.Panicked, Lauren blurts out the first thing that comes to her mind. "Cocaine." It takes half a second to fully comprehend what she just said. Both girls look at each other, engaging in a silent conversation of, 'I cannot believe that just came out of your mouth' and 'believe it because I can attest to it.' Almost as if they agreed on it, the duo lose their serious expressions and let out small chuckles that turn into boisterous laughter.Ally is the first to speak between airy laughs, "God, why are you like this." She wipes at her teary eyes.
-
Lauren sleepily rolls to her side and blindly reaches out to shut her alarm off. She yawns while stretching her sore limbs. After rubbing the last remnants of sleep off her eyes, she takes a deep breath and prepares herself to roll out of bed. That is, before a pair of lithe arms circle around her waist and pull her into the warm confines of a lovers embrace. "Ally." She chastises. Ally grumbles into the material of Lauren's sleep shirt.Lauren laughs at how cute her girlfriend is. "What did you say?"Ally groans, "It's four in the morning." She tightens her grip on Lauren. "Shut up and let me hold you." Lauren shakes her head. "Yes, and if I don't get up I am going to be late. Again." Lauren is momentarily distracted by the feel of Ally's body pressing against her own. "Oh." She says over her shoulder. "You shut up." Comes Lauren's mature rebuttal to the second half of Ally's comment. Ally buries her face into Lauren's back, between her shoulder blades. "Make me." She threatens. Lauren turns in Ally's arms, ignoring Ally's whimpering protests. "I will." She says as she caresses Ally's face. "But you might moan a little." She smiles triumphantly when Ally mumbled a sleepy yet irritated 'oh, my God.' "Yeah, a little like that." Lauren lets out a small yelp when Ally slaps her arm. But ultimately she settles in for an extra half hour in bed with her beautiful girlfriend.
