Work Text
Above a sky scattered in blue hues, sat the greatest celestial body in our working system of space and time.
The Sun; it shone with a rich light so pure. So pure that it could only be a sign for good things to come.
Right?
- Jeon Jungkook sighed before slinking further back into the dark space between two tall buildings. The darkness was encompassing. It swallowed everything that entered it. The rays of sunlight could not even think about touching it, since the connecting structure of the buildings covered all below it. The only light in the alley came from his Zippo lighter. One spark to light a fat blunt. Truthfully speaking, Jungkook felt a sliver of disdain lighting it. He could not shake the irritability, really. He much rather preferred the smoking experience his glass pipe gave him. It was ornate and simple at the same time. He also associated it with comfort, as he was allowed to get high freely at home. He enjoyed exhaling the poisonous vapor, blowing it past his slightly chapped lips, and watching it swirl and curve until it became nothing. Even if it disappeared in one sense, it lingered in another. Jungkook knew the exact moment the cannabis took effect. His body felt loose and his mind, somewhat cloudy. He was at ease for a brief moment, but the drug could not completely wash away his awareness. Sometimes, Jungkook believed it to be a power of sorts: his inhumane self-control. Be that as it may, he was still not shielded from the inevitable. He had been smoking long enough to know he was killing himself. Killing his brain to be more specific. His closest friends loved to remind him of that last bit. In fact, he could hear them now. The intervention was still fresh in his mind, like it had only happened yesterday. He remembered every word. Every tear his hyungs shed for him, especially the oldest, Kim Seokjin. -
"Jungkook…Are you listening?”
Jungkook, who had been staring at a wall to his left, shook his head at the elder’s words. Not because he was not hearing him, because of course he was! How could he not be in a room where everyone was directing their attention at him. Their words were bullets and they hit their target dead on. Instead of making him feel as they should have–bad. They made him so terribly angry. His fists clenched in his lap and he finally looked Jin in the eye to say, “Yes.”
All five of his friends had been waiting to hear him say that. Their youngest, most beloved friend saying that one word meant he acknowledged his one fault.
“Th-Then, you know! You know what you’re doing is illegal! You know you’re killing yourself! You know you’re addicted!”
However, just because he acknowledged his problem, did not mean he cared. And really? Did they believe he was addicted? He did not have an addiction. No, not him. Never him.
“Jungkook!” Jin yelled again. The tears that were swarming in his eyes were free at last. The elder was comforted by a hand caressing the small of his back.
Jungkook grunted, standing up to leave. As he made his way to the front door, another’s hand grabbed his wrist. He turned back to look and found another pair of concerned eyes. Jungkook pulled his hand away from the red head and, as he wanted to all along, left.
- Despite how ridiculous he found the whole thing to be, he accepted it. The oldest of the tight-knit group had always had a soft spot for Jungkook. It made sense, Jungkook was the youngest. Jin loved him. All of his friends loved him. Everyone loved him. With that said, it was no shock that he possessed the hearts of many. Jungkook had them in the palm of his hand and…that was all. He did not have anything particularly special to say about the fact. It was simply common knowledge at this point. His thoughts were interrupted by a blaring siren. “Fuck,” Jungkook muttered, letting his head fall back against the faded red brick behind him. He pulled his backpack off to dig out a water bottle. When he got the lid off, he dropped his still smoking blunt into it. Then he capped it again, shaking it a few times to assure its drowning. Once it was back in his bag, he had nothing to do. There was no other choice but to step back into civilization. When Jungkook did, the first thing he took notice of was the blue colored sky. He looked down just as quickly as he looked up. For now, he could not risk anyone seeing his glazed eyes. Rather than clear skies, he would have to settle for the cream gray of the pavement. Jungkook was sure that once upon a time that view would be welcomed. Back when it was first cemented. Today, it appeared worn with unknown black spots and gunky spit sticking to it. Jungkook glared in disgust but kept pushing. He was ten minutes into his walk when the gold that accompanied its blue began to shine brighter. Beams of it hit the ground perfectly. The combination made for a scorching heat. Everyone in its focus dressed suitably, so they were not bothered by it. Actually, they enjoyed the weather. That much was deducible. Their joyous expressions and excited movements said everything. Then, there was Jungkook... He looked out of place in his black clothing. As he walked past everyone, he made sure to pull his sweater hood on. Sure it was counterproductive to some extent, but it kept the sun out of his eyes. It kept the people out of his vision too, which was an added bonus. People who laughed.People who smiled.People who cried.Simply, people. It always seemed like the easier route to take. It was better to ignore than engage. Do not get him wrong. Jungkook was sociable when he needed to be (since it was part of his job), but he found it needless to engage with random people. Especially randoms who did not put in the effort to get to know him. If they did, then he would definitely consider giving them a chance to be in his life. That was how Jin approached him. Jungkook gave him a chance and all of his other friends came with him. Similar to a package deal. He did not dislike them. Nor did he love them. He more than tolerated them. Maybe he liked them… Jungkook made a noise of surprise when a child ran into his side. Before he could glare at the kid to scare her off, she was bowing in apology before taking off on her own. Jungkook’s eyes trailed her, witnessing as she jumped into a couple’s arms. Her parents, he supposed. The little girl squealed in happiness. It made Jungkook wonder.
Why did they smile so obnoxiously wide?
What made them so happy?
There were so many conclusions he could come to, but which was the right answer? It was difficult to say. His brain was clearing. A sour taste made its way onto his tongue. Jungkook was jealous. It was a simple statement. Unlike his hyungs, these people did not care for him. In fact, they excluded him. He did not deserve that. To be treated like the worthless. Jungkook was priceless. He was intelligent and received love in truckfuls. He had never had the chance to give it; the love. No one was worthy and it frustrated him to no end. He was an impatient man. He was tired of waiting and watching everyone else grasp the ending he sought. Jungkook was jealous. He clutched the straps of his backpack in his hands tightly. Shaking his head, he continued on the route to his home. The heat was sweltering, so he decided to take a shortcut. His feet led him to a crosswalk. Its wait time was long. Too long. So long that the heat finally hit him, and he was beginning to feel parched. Swiping his tongue across his lips, he searched all around for somewhere to get a cool drink. That was when he spotted a café. It was small, quaint with its picket fence and garden. In the moment that he stepped through the café’s threshold, a small bell rang over his head. It reminded him of a cheery bicycle bell. Many of the other customers already there gave him odd looks. They must be wondering why Jungkook was wearing a black sweater and skinny jeans on a day like this. How could he blame them? Then again, it did not feel any less shitty. He sat himself in the last booth. He waited and looked on. A new figure came into his sight. A man. Judging by the pink and white striped shirt and little beret covering his brown hair, the man was an employee here. Jungkook watched his lithe body sweep a broom across the checkered floor. It was a nice change of pace to watch him. His slow, graceful movements were a breath of fresh air in comparison to their bustling surroundings. Jungkook was a man too though. A sexually-active, sexually charged man. Naturally, his gaze ran across the other man’s body. Love was a strange concept to him, but he could appreciate a nice ass. He could eat a nice ass too. There was a lot of good ass out there, so he figured why was this one any different. He shifted his attention to the menu. Not sparing the man a second glance. That was until some other stranger took notice of the brown-haired employee. Jungkook observed as a muscled meathead gawked over that slim body. The guy was practically drooling at the mouth. What could be so special about this plain looking man? Again, good ass was everywhere. Perhaps this gym rat was just as pathetic as Jungkook thought. The employee gave good customer service, listening intently as the guy chatted him up. Jungkook kissed his teeth in distaste. Was this another pair of idiots destined to be together? Were they going to race past him and steal another piece of his dream? “Hm!” Jungkook hummed in disbelief. The meathead was turned down! Sure he looked like a blockhead on steroids, but by conventional standards, he would be considered attractive. So why?
Who the hell does this worker think he is? Is he…
Jungkook’s thoughts trailed off because…because the brown-haired man was anything but plain. He was beautiful beyond belief. The light coming in from outside painted him in a heavenly glow. He was an ethereal being that Jungkook believed only existed on a plane worlds apart from his own. Jungkook was absolutely breathless for a moment. All of his senses numbed. The sensation was stronger than any drug he had taken before. Jungkook was stuck, settling into a mode of tunnel vision. Staring like that for as long as he did of course drew the beauty’s attention to him. They made eye contact. Their souls met and Jungkook knew. They were similar, but the smile the beauty gave him told another story. It seemed they were different too. That was even better. Unfortunately, the ethereal being turned away too soon. Jungkook was immediately left feeling empty. He watched the being hurry through a door marked ‘EMPLOYEES ONLY.’ Even if the last thing Jungkook wanted to see was him go, it was cute to witness. The beauty was a hard worker. It only took a matter of seconds before the back door swung open again. Jungkook noticed that the other had taken his white beret off and had a bag in hand. He waved 'so long' to his co-workers, stating he was done with his shift. When he turned to leave, Jungkook rose to his feet to go after him. He wanted to know him. Five seconds after the beauty exited, so did Jungkook. Not even that was fast enough, because someone else had gotten to the other man first. While Jungkook did not enjoy the beauty giving his unique grin to someone else, he could not help but admire the gentleness the other handled himself with. Trying not to be rude, the beauty acknowledged everything the new man was saying. Minho, he was called. Too bad for Minho, Jungkook’s beauty did not want to stay. Throughout their short conversation, the beauty kept pointing away, down the street. He wanted to leave, but at the same time he did not want to be rude. What a Sweetheart…Jungkook thought. In an attempt to free the beauty, Jungkook sauntered over to them. His unwavering confidence was so strong. It caused everyone on the sidewalk to look his way, the beauty included. Possessively, Jungkook wrapped an arm around the beauty's waist. He was not outright with it, but Jungkook knew he was surprised because of the small squeak that slipped past his lips. Minho was clearly shocked and confused as well. Jungkook cleared his throat before saying in a deep voice, "Excuse me. Who the fuck are you? Keeping my sweetheart all to yourself. From me, his boyfriend." Minho visibly shook. It was obvious he had never been in the presence of such a dominant male. He chose to look away from Jungkook and focus on the shorter male in his arms. "You bitch! Why didn't you say you had a boyfriend!" "What?” the beauty squawked. He looked scandalized, unconsciously pressing closer to Jungkook. “I was only talking to you. I don't even think of you like that Minho...I thought you knew that." It was easy to hear in the beauty's voice. He was absolutely crestfallen. And Jungkook hated it. "Don't think of me like that? You fucking bitch I'm not bli–" Minho was cut off by Jungkook, who stepped up to grab hold of his shirt’s collar. Jungkook practically pulled the fool up onto his tippy toes. Minho gasped, pulling at the younger’s hands. His efforts were wasted. Jungkook was not even trying, which made the scene all the more pitiful. Jungkook did not know it, but to Minho, he appeared like a beast. One who did not even know what he was capable of. Jungkook growled, leaning in close to the other man’s ear. "You, Minho, was it? Keep your fucking mouth shut. You’re lucky my beauty gave you the time of day. I’ll be merciful for now. But if I catch you near him again, I won’t hesitate to find out where you live. And at night, when you’re sleeping in your bed, I’ll show up. And I’ll bring shears, so I can castrate you…Do you understand?" Frightened, Minho agreed, nodding his head quickly. Jungkook simply tsked at the man, dropping him before looking back at the beauty. Everyone around them clapped, having heard the whole dispute. Noticing how big of a crowd they drew in, Minho left embarrassed. The beauty smiled at Jungkook again. This one was wider than the last. Much more breathtaking too. Suddenly, his face got red and he looked down to fiddle with his fingers.
His long, beautiful, fingers.
Jungkook remained resolute, waiting for the beauty to look up at him again. Their height difference was not large, but it was there. It was adorable. "So," he finally spoke. “Thank you…” "Jungkook. I’m Jeon Jungkook,” he finished, reaching one hand out. “Alright. Then, thank you Jeon Jungkook.” Jungkook found his hand being enveloped by two tan hands. The hold made his heart tighten. He felt the need to protect and cherish. To give what was being given to him. For another blessed moment, they made eye contact. It felt like everything around them faded and they were the only two people in the world. Jungkook reveled in the happening until it was broken. “I’m Kim Taehyung,” The beauty, now known as Taehyung, said. Kim Taehyung. All your wishes will come true. The ending you seek will be yours. Not only were his body and voice perfect, so was his name. This had to be it. This had to be fate. Kim Taehyung was Jeon Jungkook’s destiny. Taehyung waved his hand in front of Jungkook's face, "Jungkook are you okay? Did you hear me?" Jungkook snapped out of his fantasy. "Yeah! Taehyung. It’s a beautiful name. It suits you. " Taehyung bit his lip. “Thank you, Jungkook,” he giggled. “It feels like I’ve been thanking you for the past five minutes straight.” "There’s nothing wrong with being grateful. You don’t know how grateful I am for you." “M-Me?” “Well, you know it’s not everyday I get to talk to someone as beautiful as you.” Upon hearing the compliment, Taehyung blushed again. "You’re so kind, Jungkook. How about we go get some ice cream? As a thank you!” "Yes, I'd like that."
Very much.
"Okay. I’ll lead the way. I know a good place a couple blocks from here." As Taehyung began to walk ahead, a strange feeling settled in his stomach. He could not decipher why. Automatically, he turned back around to look at Jungkook. His gaze was intense and it made Taehyung feel uneasy, but the smile that graced his handsome face transformed everything. - During the first few minutes of their walk, the couple learned quite a bit about each other. Jungkook was surprised to find out that Taehyung was older. He beat him to life by two years. Twenty-five to his twenty-three. Taehyung insisted he call him ‘hyung.’ Jungkook also learned that Taehyung thought his smile was cute. The elder teased him, calling him a baby bunny. Taehyung noticed Jungkook was fearless. A contrast to his-worry-wart-self. "Jungkook, take off that sweater. I don't think I'm strong enough to carry you if you get heat stroke." Taehyung nagged Jungkook for the nth time. Jungkook would have followed Taehyung's instructions earlier, but he was so cute caring about him. It was time he surrendered. "Fine, but I’ll warn you now, I’m not wearing a shirt." His new hyung was quiet. Then he mumbled, "That’s still better than a sweater." Jungkook smiled then pulled off his sweater. Taehyung quickly turned away after he laid eyes on the younger male’s muscles. Could anyone blame him though? Jungkook had a sexy, mature physique. Another sexy body came to his mind. One with broad shoulders. One he should be thinking about all the time, especially now. Taehyung instead chose to look up at the sky and enjoy the sun's warmth caramelizing his tan skin even more. That did not stop Jungkook from appreciating him though. The being before him was full of hidden features too flawless not to be admired. From his long legs to the curve in his waist, and finally ending with the cute mole on his nose. Eventually, they made it to the ice cream parlor. What they discovered was upsetting. It was closed. "Aww...maybe another day? Yeah?" Taehyung spoke in a small voice. Did Jungkook really have another option? No. "Yeah. Some other time. What about tomorrow?" Jungkook asked, adding a charming smile. Taehyung looked away flustered, "Okay." -
He wanted me too.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Two lovers' golden destiny interrupted by the darkness of dire need....
- Jungkook's eyes open at the sound of his alarm. He sits up in his large King Sized bed. A wide smile spreads across his face. He's so happy. To many close in Jungkook's life this sight would be an abnormal one. Jungkook is known for his hostile attitude and striking face. Let's not forget the fact he's grumpy all the time. The vile characteristic has embedded itself into his inner psyche. That's not all his fault though. His job can add quite the weight.
Jungkook currently manages a photography company. It's very successful and Jungkook enjoys the work he creates. However, it does get quite stressful and frustrating. The small trivial things can get tiring as well. One example, is the all-nighters he has become accustomed to. This detail is the main cause for why he can't wake in the early times of light.
But, right now he is awake at dawn and for one reason only.
The angel sent down from the heavens, Kim Taehyung.
Jungkook pushes his comforter aside and walks into his bathroom. It's immaculate. Preparing his toothbrush, Jungkook only has Taehyung on his mind. As he looks into the mirror he now sees why the older had called him a bunny. If Jungkook were honest he'd say he was somewhat insecure about his teeth. It was stupid but, isn't every insecurity stupid? That's exactly how Jungkook is starting to view his supposed flaw. Taehyung, lovely Taehyung, had made a supportive comment about him. He saw his flaw as something cute, possibly and hopefully...sexy.
The thought made Jungkook feel all warm and bubbly on the inside. Taehyung was kind. He is perfection and in return deserves perfection. Jungkook knows he himself is perfection.
They are perfection and only need each other. No one else.
Jungkook is glad that Taehyung feels the same. If he didn't, why would he invite Jungkook on this date? The younger knows the truth. Like him, Taehyung can see a future with Jungkook. Taehyung makes him feel things he can't describe but, it's a wonderful high. Jungkook even thinks he may skip the cannabis.
He imagines Taehyung's naked body. The older's legs are spread wide. An invitation for Jungkook to settle in between and take what's his. To claim and ravish.
After he brushes his teeth Jungkook finally notices the obvious tent in his sweats. He sighs, Taehyung and his perfect everything. Jungkook strips himself and enters his glass surrounded shower. Immediately, he works to relieve himself. He pumps his length until he finds release, moaning Taehyung's name in the process. It all feels so right. The water cascading down his body and the pleasure Taehyung offers it. - At the same time.....
Taehyung giggles uncontrollably, "Stop it Jin! It tickles!"
Kim Seokjin, Taehyung's boyfriend, holds him close planting love bites all over the younger's neck. "How can I stop? You're so delicious!"
Taehyung blushes a deep red and squeals cutely. Jin smiles into his neck. How did he get so lucky?
"Jin...it's seven." Reminds Taehyung. There's a hint of sadness in his voice. He and Jin never got so much intimate time together. Jin's boss was always calling and demanding he work. Taehyung recalls a plethora of times where Jin's work schedule was changed. He remembers suggesting that the older should quit and find a better job but, that's when he found out how much Jin cared for his job. Jin also claimed to love his boss deeply. Taehyung was jealous until he found out what kind of love, a brotherly love.
Jin removes himself from Taehyung. "Oh. Okay I'll get ready then."
Taehyung hums in agreement. Jin walks into their shared bathroom. Taehyung looks up. His eyes meet the crystal clear skylight. Looking at the blue skies and clouds day by day never gets old. It always leaves him feeling content. Today is different. He turns away from the view. His eyes begin welling up with tears. He misses Jin already.
Taehyung's closes his eyes. The moment is brief because, once he feels the weight on top of him his eyes snap open. "What are you doing?"
Jin, who is in between Taehyung's legs, raises his head. "I'm going to spend time with you Darling."
"Don't you have work?"
"Nope! The little boss called and said he had important plans."
A little smile reveals itself on the younger's face. "Does that mean you're staying all day."
Jin nods, "All day."
The two visuals stare at eachother. Everything seems calm. Then Jin attacks the other's lips. Their lips move together passionately. They kiss awhile before Jin separates to remove his shirt.
Taehyung is instantly reminded of the boy he met yesterday. He tries desperately to clear his mind. Taehyung then sits up to remove his shirt.
In the end they both end up nude. Jin enters Taehyung after prepping him. They both moan out in pleasure. Taehyung looks up at the skylight. Guilt sets in his chest. As his boyfriend makes love to him, memories of the boy never leave his mind. - Jungkook rushes from his house. He hurries through the city to a flower shop. A smile still on his face.
With his mood lifted, he could find the joy in everyone and everything he saw. It occurred to him, why does he need these random people to make him happy, when he has Taehyung?
Many passing by him give him looks. Although, the looks are full of fondness. Today Jungkook is dressed in a white short sleeve button up and black skinny jeans. The outfit does look normal compared to yesterday's.
Reaching the flower shop, Jungkook purchases a dozen red roses. The current time is nine. Jungkook decides to sprint to the ice cream shop. He and Taehyung never picked a certain time to meet so, if he just waits Taehyung would show soon.
Once he got there he picked a booth and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Jungkook checks the time on his phone. It was five and still no Taehyung. He feels as though he may burst of anger and sadness. Wasn't Taehyung the one who set this up?
His phone goes off. It's a text from his hyung. Jin is asking for everyone to gather at his home in an hour. Since Taehyung abandoned him he can go. Throwing the roses away he heads to his hyung's house. - "Okay they should be here soon." Jin puts his phone down.
Taehyung stands up, holding the sheets close to his body. "I'm so nervous. What if they don't like me?"
Jin wraps his arms around the fragile body. "How can they not? You're a fluffy cinnamon bun. Besides I'm their hyung. They have no right to judge my life."
"Okay. I'll try to calm down" Taehyung walks over to his vanity dresser.
"Good," Jin smiles nervously and takes a deep breath, "Darling do you want kids?"
"Is that even a question? Of course!"
"Do you want to get married?"
"Yes," Taehyung turns to Jin, "Why are you asking these serious questions all of a sudden?"
Jin shrugs, "I just wanted to know."
"Oh, well alright." Taehyung mutters. The atmosphere is tense and awkward.
The couple split to get ready for their guests. Soon they hear the doorbell ring. - Jungkook stands still next to all his hyungs. "Hey Namjoon hyung, why are we here?"
"We're here to meet Jin hyung's boyfriend." Answers Namjoon looking dejected.
Jungkook ignores it.
The door opens and--
"Taehyung!" Shouts Jungkook. -
But, he's mine.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
They were fooled.
Iluded by his facade.
Acknowledging himself and his flaws, perfection, is what he seemed to be......almost.
-
"Taehyung!"
Immediately, everyone turns to the youngest in the room. A humongous wave of confusion crashes over all of them. The new information sinking in, and each and everyone of them has questions, especially Jin.
"How do you know him?! I don't recall a first meeting!"
"Hyung, this doesn't seem fair! Why does Jungkook get to meet him first?!"
"What is this shit?.....Honestly."
"I'm very confused!"
All of these questions being followed by the synchronization of, "Jin hyung!"
Jin is feeling overwhelmed by all the questions. They're coming quick and the oldest feels as if they're hitting off the walls shooting back at him. The words go in one ear and out the other. This hectic atmosphere barely gives him time to process. His focus is only on one thing. Jungkook and how he had already come to know his Darling Taehyung. This was supposed to be a first meeting for all his dongsaengs.
"Guys!" Jin practically screams, "I'm just as confused as you. You're correct. This is supposed to be the first meeting. So, would you two," He gestures to the two maknaes, " Please explain your uhh..relationship.."
Jungkook's heart was fluttering at the word 'relationship'. He wants so desperately for that and one day that will be a truth. It will. He knows.
Taehyung scratches behind his neck nervously. "Jungkook and I," He starts, "We met--"
He's suddenly cut off by Jungkook, "We met discussing plans for the new project."
"Really?" Jin is completely taken back. They were having problems finding a model and Jin was hoping they'd find one soon, but his boyfriend?
Jungkook smiles cutely. It has everyone in the room fawning over him. Mainly the one who cherishes that smile most, him most. Only Jungkook doesn't know.
"Yeah." Jungkook walks to Taehyung and wraps his arm around the clueless beauty. "Taehyung is going to be the model. Right Taehyung?"
Jungkook grits his teeth and pinches Taehyung's soft, smooth skin. Taehyung winces a little. "Uh--uh yeah. I'm going to be the model."
Taehyung knows why he says that. He know why he follows along. To hide the bitter truth. In all honesty, the real reason probably would seem like nothing but, Taehyung had been thinking about this boy. He had began thinking of him in ways, he should only be thinking of Jin in. This inner confession makes Taehyung feel guilty and annoyed at himself.
Jin's mouth forms into the shape of an 'O'. A reaction that shows his bewilderment. "Are you sure Tae? The concept and content of this project is pretty extensive." Jin has to clarify with his Darling's decision.
Taehyung looks down. He can feel Jungkook's stare burning a hole into him. "Yes Jin." Taehyung answers automatically.
"But, Tae--I don't want you participating in such a vulgar photoshoot."
"Excuse me. Hyung this was my idea and up until now you praised it!" Jungkook joins in. He is feeling offended. This project is one he has high hopes for. It's one full of his blood, sweat, and tears.
Jin frowns regretfully, "I'm sorry Jungkook but--"
"But what?" Taehyung interrupts, "Listen Jin I made a commitment to Jungkook and I will follow through with it. It's my decision."
Jin is speechless. He's surprised by Taehyung's sudden assertiveness and, dare he say, dominance. His sweet, submissive angel.
Jungkook is sure he can forgive Taehyung for standing him up. He's so good. Never has Jungkook seen such an outstanding performance that wasn't scripted. His Sweetheart had just lied and to his..so called 'boyfriend'. For him. What does this mean? Is it a subtle declaration of love? Jungkook knows. Taehyung wants to belong to him and Jungkook will claim him. He'll caress every part of the older till he's seeing stars. Taehyung is a star.
The other boy could feel it. Jungkook was slipping through his fingers and soon to be nowhere in his reach. He hates the way it makes him feel. Looking at the younger's eyes, he can see the twinkles in his eyes. Twinkles he's never seen and the cause is...Jin hyung's boyfriend? Why?
No that can't be. Jungkook loves Jin so much. He would never betray anyone because, he is Jungkook. Their beloved maknae.
Jimin's maknae.
And, he needs to stop this.
"Jungkook! I thought you said I could model!" Jimin whines. A little pout makes its way onto his face.
Taehyung's eyes widen. Jin whips his head towards Jungkook. His eyes narrow with suspicion. Jungkook offers a fake smile and pulls Jimin away from the group, to a corner in the room.
"Jimin hyung, what are you doing?" Jungkook whispers so, only them two can hear the conversation.
Jimin shifts his eyes towards the group, "I'm just telling the truth. You told me I could model for you."
Jungkook sighs frustrated, "That was two days ago. I met Taehyung yesterday and he fits the role better."
"What role? He doesn't have to portray anything else but, himself."
"Please Jiminie. I want Taehyung as our model so, you can work with me the whole time." Jungkook takes the other's face in his hands. A minipulation tactic and Jimin was always the easiest to minipulate.
Jimin can't say anything. He's too lost in the eyes of his love. He's weak, "Okay. Taehyung can be the model and I'll help you. Always."
Jungkook smirks lightly, "Thank you."
To top it off Jungkook even holds Jimin's hand to the dining room. Taehyung is very aware of this. Are they together? That makes it even more inappropriate to think about Jungkook. Jin grabs his hand. Taehyung looks at his lover and they both exchange a small smile.
Jungkook takes a deep breath.
-
All the men take their seats around the long, wooden table. Jin smiles, "Why don't we do introductions."
"I'm Min Yoongi...." He nods after, satisfied with his introduction.
Another man clears his throat. He smiles, deep dimples showing, "I'm Namjoon, Kim Namjoon."
Jin giggles a little. This causes everyone to look at him and he simply waves it off. "Inside joke, inside joke."
Namjoon blushes so lightly it's almost impossible to tell but, Jungkook can tell. He can see right through Namjoon.
"Okay!" The boy next to Namjoon smiles. It resembles a brightness only seen in the sun. "I'm Hoseok. I hope we can be great friends." Taehyung smiles his boxy one. Jungkook thinks Taehyung is just the cutest.
"And I'm Jimin!" He yells loudly. Taehyung gives him a beautiful smile and Jimin wants so badly to feel repulsed by him. Taehyung is just too sweet.
"You know me already." Jungkook.
Taehyung hums. His deep voice is rich.
A woman walks in with trays of food. Nobody is surprised by this she is actually Jin's neighbor. Her cooking skills are lacking so, Jin offered to help her. Jin has been helping her with the little free time he has and Taehyung has been spending some time by himself. That's how he met Jungkook.
They all begin eating. There was small talk made. Jungkook is slyly sneaking glances at Taehyung. He doesn't even notice Taehyung sneaking glances at him.
Suddenly, it goes quiet and Jungkook has made a decision. It's the right time to tell them. "Guys, I've decided to quit smoking."
This is a new time in his life. Taehyung is a sign for all good to come. For Taehyung he will be a better person.
-
We will be one.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
A warning of plead.
A warning of notice.
The beauty of this warning was so magical. The dreadful future that was to come, is masked.
All to well, we know that dreadful future.
-
A blank slate covers the night sky. He can't see any sign of the moon or stars. The infinitely, black nothingness seems to turn into a screen before him. It depicts all of tonight's events.
The revalation of Taehyung's realization is born.
-
"Guys, I've decided to quit smoking."
"Stop it Jungkook. You know how we feel about this. This is serious." Jin speaks, his face solemn and body stiff.
Taehyung hates the way Jin's hands shake. In an attempt to comfort his lover, he places his hand on Jin's thigh. He rubs it soothingly. Jin looks at him. His face remaining unchanged. Taehyung removes his hand and faces the youngest.
Jungkook sighs, "Yes, I'm serious." A soft smile settles on his face.
Jimin is emotionless. He is unable to connect the reasons for why Jungkook would quit so suddenly. Jungkook just outright made a statement that no one could ever adapt to so quickly. "I--I--I'm not quite understanding this Kookie."
Blatantly ignoring the cute nickname, Jungkook replies, "Something beautiful, so beautiful in my life has arrived. I see a future with this something and I'm becoming clean, so I don't jeopardize the purity of it." His face contorts into a bunny smile.
Jimin mentally coos, but he can't help feeling jealous. What could've changed his love's mind?
It was about one month ago that Jimin went knocking at Jungkook's door. He had begged and cried his heart out to the youngest. All he wanted was Jungkook to be healthy, beautiful, and pure as he always is...or was.
But Jungkook had denied his pleas and rejected Jimin's suggestion to speak about it. Jimin can still faintly hear the sound of the door slamming in his face. It resembles something he hopes to never experience, especially from Jungkook. That is cold, hard rejection.
Taehyung's heart beats a little bit faster and small beads of sweat run down his face. He thinks he maybe that something, no he knows he is that something. It freaks him out. Jin had described Jungkook as someone special to him. So obviously Jin should be special to Jungkook too. That means Taehyung and Jungkook are betraying Jin together. Two people who care deeply about Jin. Two people Jin care deeply about. Two people who care deeply about eachother?
Taehyung and Jimin seem to be the only ones in the room with odd feelings. The rest seem happy for the baby of the group, even Jin.
"Yayy!" Hoseok shouts. He jumps up onto his chair doing a weird dance. It makes Namjoon laugh, while Yoongi hangs his head in shame.
Jungkook notices Taehyung's dull mood. He kicks Taehyung's foot under the table, trying to cheer the older up or perhaps start a war of footsie. Taehyung looks into Jungkook's eyes.
Taehyung's response to Jungkook isn't what he was expecting. Taehyung harshly kicks Jungkook in the shin, who winces in pain. Taehyung fluffs his hair and turns his head towards Jin dramatically.
Jungkook raises his eyebrows playfully. Now Taehyung's a drama queen too. Jungkook likes to think he would treat Taehyung like a queen. A queen who only belongs to the King, even in death.
The dinner continues for another hour. Taehyung really gets to know all the new people in his life. He's bitter about how fantastic Namjoon is.
Kim Namjoon. He's handsome, tall, strong, and incredibly intelligent. Taehyung is bitter.
Jungkook watches his two hyungs, Namjoon and Jin. They are getting very close. The avoidance of space is clear. The excluding of Taehyung is clear too.
Anger bubbles in Jungkook's chest.
How dare they?!
Unconsciously, Jungkook slams his fists onto the table. He breaks right through the plate. There is a long cut on the side of his hand. Paying no mind he shoots up from his seat and heads to the bathroom. Jimin hurries after him. Taehyung is not too far behind either.
The bathroom door slams right in Jimin's face. Dèjá vu.
Unknowing to the two boys, their youngest is blowing off some steam. Jungkook slides everything off the counter. He punches the cold marble. His hand worsens under the circumstances. That's not enough though, so he opens drawers throwing things out just to do it. But when his hand pulls out a box of nearly empty condoms, he loses it.
-
Jimin begins banging on the door after hearing Jungkook curse in pain. By now everyone has moved from the spacious room to the cramped hallway.
"Please Kookie! Open the door!" Jimin's voice cracks.
Taehyung gives it a try, "Um, Jungkook please come out. You sound like you're hurt. We just want to know you're alright." Especially Jimin Taehyung wants to add. He has to be Jungkook's boyfriend, right?
Taehyung staggers back as the door opens. He falls into Jin's arms. They immediately cradle him. How he wishes the sincerity behind it were true.
Jungkook doesn't spare Taehyung a glance as he walks to the front door.
"Come on. Let's go to work. I need to finish that last bit before the photoshoot. You all need to help." Jungkook demands then walks out the house.
Like a helpless puppy or shadow, Jimin is right behind him. The rest give apologetic glances and leave. Except Jin who stays to kiss Taehyung goodbye.
As Jin and Taehyung lean in, Jungkook sticks his head in the door way. He clears his throat, rudely interrupting the lovers. Jin gives Taehyung a little hug running outside.
Before he leaves, Jungkook gives Taehyung a terrifying look, "Don't you dare." It seems to say.
Taehyung is left alone to wonder.
-
That is exactly what he's doing, wondering. To be more precise, wondering about the truth.
The truth that is his cheating lover.
Kim Namjoon.
The man he'd only met tonight yet, he was so familiar with. Taehyung remembers all the countless nights Jin had moaned Namjoon's name and love confessions in his sleep. He always wondered who he was. Taehyung always thought that if he could match a face to the name it would hurt less. Man was he wrong.
It hurts him to know that he isn't enough and hasn't been for months. Taehyung feels ugly and worthless but, he'd rather feel this way than let go of Jin. Even if he cheats, he treats Taehyung like a treasure. Jin also puts energy into acting like he loves him.
Taehyung wants love from the older and he'll take it in any form he can.
Kim Taehyung is an angel. Such sheer perfection. Unknowing of his beauty, insecurities dig themselves into his heart. That's where they're buried and they burn him to his very core.
On a night of heavenly bodies, Taehyung can district himself. However, tonight there is nothing. Without his lover by his side Taehyung is and feels alone.
Then suddenly, a miracle appears above him. Thousands of stars are above his head. A beautiful path, leading him to a beautiful future, and he wants to follow it.
The light is bright, shining from the skylight. It illuminates the entire bed and the single body on it. His tan skin glows with the most beautiful shade of fluorescent blue. Let's not forget his eyes, oh those eyes. Those beautiful orbs that sparkle like the sea on a warm summer night's dream. Someone so ethereal he almost seems unreal but, he is real.
He truly loves Kim Seokjin.
But right now, all he can think about is the stars he saw in Jungkook's eyes the day they met.
He wants Jungkook, but he shouldn't. A revalation of realization.
-
The end is near.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Betrayal.
I.
He.
Him.
They.
We.
It's as simple as that.
All is fair in love and war, correct?
-
Jin runs his fingers through the desheveled hair atop his head. Desperately trying to get the 'I just had sex' look off. "Joonie, do you have a comb?"
Namjoon sighs, "Yeah, but can you get it? I'm too exhausted." He turns to lay on his stomach, letting out a sound of contentment. After all, it was the first time he could lay like that after four hours.
Jin smiles at the sight, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes. It never did when he was with Namjoon. Sometimes he felt bad for his Darling.
Taehyung is a whole other story full of love and hidden sorrows. Jin loves the younger so much, but at times things can get frustrating. It was no secret Taehyung was fragile and needed to be dealt with carefully.
Considering the fact that Jin is known as the 'mom' in their group of friends, he thought he'd accommodate well to Taehyung's needs.
Things went great in their first month's of dating. Just being inside of Taehyung gave Jin an overwhelming sense of power and satisfaction. But all Taehyung wanted was slow, passionate sex. Taehyung doesn't even like calling it sex. To him it's lovemaking and should only be done in the privacy of their own home. So when Jin wanted to get rough. Taehyung said no and had even cried at the sight of Jin's handcuffs. When Jin wanted to have a quickie in the bathroom of a restaurant, Taehyung said no.
In his feelings of frustration, Jin needed an outlet. There was Namjoon. Jin knew from the very start he would be taking advantage of someone special to him. For years they've been close friends. For years Namjoon has harboured a love for the older. And Jin knew this quite well. But still he did it. Jin is selfish and he knows.
"You know...I've been thinking," Namjoon spoke, "Why can't we be together?"
Jin looks away from Namjoon. "This is just for fun Joon, we'd agreed on it a long time ago..."
"It was five months ago." Namjoon's voice wavers a bit.
Jin raises an eyebrow, "You've been counting?"
Namjoon sticks his head in the pillows of his bed. "Yeah." His voice comes out slightly muffled.
"Uh....," Jin uses this as a chance to redirect the conversation. "I gotta go. I've been here too long. Tae needs to see me at least once today."
"Okay." Namjoon answers, it's close to being a hushed whisper.
Jin chuckles in hopes off lightening the mood. But it just makes things more awkward since there's nothing remotely funny to laugh at.
Silence overtakes Namjoon's room. The only thing heard is the sound of a pants' zipper. Namjoon tilts his head up. He directs his attention to Jin who's scanning his chest in the full body length mirror.
"Shit..." Namjoon drops his head back into the pillows.
"Namjoon! I told you no marks!" Jin exclaims, irritation evident on his handsome face.
Still in the pillows Namjoon mumbles an apology, "Sorry hyung."
Jin clears his throat, "It's fine. I guess I won't be making love to Tae anytime soon." He smiles softly, slips on his shirt, and walks over to the bed.
"Joon, I had a good time last night. You always know how to make me feel so special. Thank you, let's have sex...tonight?"
Namjoon rolls on his back and sits up, using his arms to help prop himself up. "Sure, tonight."
Jin smiles, "Good. I'll be here later. Don't miss me for too long." Ending his statement with a kiss on Namjoon's forehead.
He leaves. The door shuts softly as he does. Namjoon looks at the clock. Five in the morning. Jin's usual time of departure. He's going home. To he and Taehyung's home.
Taehyung is so cute and understanding. The love he has for Jin is clear. A beautiful human unknowingly trapped in the clutches of evil.
A cheater and his 'mistress.'
Namjoon feels horrible. He is leading a path of dishonor. An intellectual such as himself should be knowing of this. But he can't help it.
He is in love with Kim Seokjin.
-
"Can you please be more professional?" Jimin grumbles. His face showing annoyance.
Taehyung can only squint. He was still seeing random dots everywhere. After a moment he nods, getting back into the stiffening position. He's sitting on a chair hunched over. His right elbow propped up on his right knee. His large right hand balled up into a fist. It acts as support for his face to rest on. In all honesty, Taehyung feels this is all wrong. But what does he know?
Jimin rolls his eyes, continuing to take take pictures.
"Ah Jimin," Taehyung waved his hand a little to signal Jimin to stop taking pictures, "Can you please turn the flash off?"
"Are you serious?" Jimin questions.
Taehyung brings his hands in between his thighs. His fingers begin to fiddle with eachother. "Y--Yes..."
Jimin bursts out into a fit of giggles,"Really?"
Taehyung waits for him to calm down
He can't really comprehend the situation he's in. Isn't Jungkook supposed to be there with him? He notices Jimin is somewhat nicer with him around.
"I don't understand." Taehyung mutters after Jimin finishes.
"Well," Jimin voices sweetly, "For some unknown reason, my Kookie has decided to let an amateur into our palace of riches. This amateur is the color of dirt and needs whitewashing. I figure why make this harder turning off the flash."
Taehyung bites down on his bottom lip, hard. He's trying his best to keep the tears in, but he can't.
Jimin runs his hands through his blonde hair." Let's take a break."
Taehyung's insecurities resurface. First, he awakes to Jin who smells of a familiar cologne. Is he even trying anymore? Taehyung feels unimportant right now. If Jin has stopped trying, does that mean he's done with Taehyung too?
Then, Jimin wants to criticise his skin tone. That has always been something Taehyung was self-conscious about. Being bullied for the simplest of things really made him unappreciative. Mainly of himself and all the little things that make him, him. Taehyung feels so sensitive and whiny.
"Hey, what's going on in here?!" A familiar voice shouts. Jungkook.
Taehyung walks to the backroom of the warehouse. He can't leave yet, at least not before seeing Jungkook. When he does, his mouth drops. No way can this...man be younger than him.
Gulping, Taehyung continues. He suddenly feels the need for a refreshing fill of cold water.
After about five minutes Jungkook emerges through the door.
"Sorry about Jimin." His voice sounding husky.
Taehyung is momentarily speeches, "Ah," He coughs, "It's fine..I was just being overly sensitive. Have you seen Jin?"
Jungkook scowls, "Don't change the subject. Jimin was being a dick. You don't deserve that. He told me what he said to you."
"He's right."
"No, he's not! You're beautiful."
"Just stop Jungkook."
"I'll show you. Come on let's go take some photos of you."
"How's that going to help?"
"We'll see your beauty much more clearly."
Taehyung is not prepared for the words that escape the other's mouth.
"You'll be nude."
-
Please, let me love you.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
In the sky, alight they stay.
Notice the warning.
For this is not the last time you'll have stars in your eyes.
-
"You'll be nude."
Taehyung's mouth drops for a moment. His mouth moves as if he's speaking, but no words come out. Not even a sound. It's all just silence.
Jungkook smiles widely, "Speechless, right? I know it's perfect for this photoshoot."
"J-Jungkook," Taehyung stutters and scratches the back of his neck. "I don't think I'll be able to d-do that."
"Why not?" Jungkook scoffs.
"I'm just not comfortable with that."
"Just do it, Tae."
Taehyung looks away from Jungkook. He's never shown his body so freely before. Except for when he and Jin made love. Looking back into his dongsaeng's eyes he feels the need to follow his orders. It's quite frightening, but Taehyung can't help but admire the brown pools of chocolate.
Licking his lips, he nods slowly, "Alright, I-I guess I can try."
"Good. Let's go get ready." Jungkook smiles and leads Taehyung back to the set.
Jungkook walks confidently. He feels so powerful and dominant. This feeling is overwhelmingly satisfying. It's like an addicting drug and he wants to get high on it 24/7.
-
Taehyung begins removing his clothing. He doesn't really want to see his own body, so he watches Jungkook. The younger's attention is focused on his camera. It's black and sleek. While Jungkook wipes the lenses the shine on it becomes more and more obvious. Time goes by a little too quickly for Taehyung's liking. With trembling hands, he removes the last barrier of clothing.
Jungkook refocuses his attention back onto his hyung. He's awestruck at the long limbs and defined features. His main eye candy being Taehyung's legs. He can imagine those legs wrapped around his waist as he sinks deep into heaven. His pants get a little bit tighter, but he ignores it wanting to document Taehyung's beautiful body.
"S-so," Taehyung stutters interrupting the awkward silence. "I- should...Uh, how should I pose?"
"Just lay down." Jungkook replies lust in his eyes.
Taehyung's body shutters. He doesn't really like this feeling of vulnerability. He's not an exhibitionist at all. His hands cover his lower region. Like an attempt to comfort himself.
The model lays down on his back, hands still covering. Jungkook furrows his eyebrows. "Tae remove your hands. I need to see everything."
"But Jungkook--" Taehyung tries.
"No 'buts' stop hiding yourself....now." In the tone Jungkook ended the sentence with, Taehyung knew. Jungkook wasn't playing around.
Reluctantly, Taehyung removes his hands. Once again, his full body is on display.
"How do you feel?" Jungkook questions walking over to the naked form.
Taehyung gulps, "I feel fine."
Jungkook lifts his right leg over his hyung. Taehyung tenses feeling weird being situated in between Jungkook's standing form.
"You're lying." Jungkook argues with Taehyung's previous statement. "Be honest with me."
Taehyung shuts his eyes tightly. "I feel exposed. Jin was right. This project isn't meant for me."
Taehyung tries to get up, but is forced back down by Jungkook's foot. A small puff of air leaves his mouth thanks to all the pressure on his body. "You can't go. You're already here. Besides you're supposed to feel this way." Jungkook states.
"I don't like it," Taehyung admits. "It makes me feel so...so--"
"Vulnerable."
"Well, yeah."
"That's perfect. This is the exact emotion I wanted to draw from you."
Taehyung shakes his head. "Why? I don't understand..."
"You see," Jungkook begins. "Vulnerability is an emotion that everyone feels. It makes you weak. No one likes to feel weak. So some may put up a facade of strength. It's easy to get sucked into your own strengths. I want this photoshoot to remind people that it's okay to be vulnerable. We're all human. We all have a weakness. In times of vulnerability you're most honest with yourself and others around you. You're most beautiful then.."
Taehyung takes in the photographer's words. It sounds like a genuine purpose. In Taehyung's perspective, Jungkook may be...frightening at times, but without a doubt he's so enchanting. Everything the does is magic and Taehyung can't help but fall for his spell. "Woah...that's amazing Jungkook.."
A cocky smile spreads across Jungkook's face. "I know."
Jungkook and Taehyung just stare into each other's eyes.
Deep in Taehyung's heart there is a hint of guilt. He's in love with Jin, but Jungkook keeps popping up. He feels like he may be crushing on the younger, but he's not sure.....
"Ahem," The model clears his throat. "Can we start?"
"Yes." Jungkook shortly confirms.
"I still don't know what to do."
"Close your eyes and just lay there."
Taehyung follows orders. He shuts his eyes. Unknowing, of the lustful gaze set on him.
Jungkook takes his time snapping pictures. He appreciates every detail of Taehyung, especially his smooth, hairless body. It's the first time he notices how long and thick the beauty's lashes are. Impure thoughts take over his mind as his camera's main focus shifts from Taehyung's face to his lower half.
Behind Taehyung's eyelids he can see the flash a bit. When it dissappears he becomes suspicious. Opening his eyes, he sees what Jungkook's taking pictures of. Taehyung squeaks and crawls out from under Jungkook.
"What are you doing?!"
Jungkook remains silent. There's an unidentifiable look in his eyes. He places his camera on the ground and approaches Taehyung, who shakes with fear.
Roughly pulling Taehyung off the ground, Jungkook wraps himself around Taehyung. Taehyung's back is flush against Jungkook's front. He can feel the younger's prominent bulge poking him. Taehyung wants to cry at the strange, uncomfortable feeling.
"You're so pretty." Jungkook mumbles into Taehyung's neck, while he litters it with kisses.
"Please, stop." Taehyung weakly protests. The whole situation has him feeling small.
"Be quiet." Jungkook demands. His hand cups the sensitive spot between Taehyung's legs.
The defenseless boy whimpers. He lunges foward, trying to escape the other's grasp. Only to be pulled back with his wrist twisted against his back. Taehyung yelps and the tears are free.
His whole outlook on the younger changes. He feels stupid. For the first time Taehyung realizes how little he knew about Jungkook. And yet he gave him so much trust.
Taehyung screams in pain, as Jungkook's finger pushes into his body. More fingers are added. With the sudden actions Taehyung has no time to adjust to the treatment. All he can do is scream till his throat tastes of blood.
Taehyung wants Jin.
Jungkook thrusts his fingers into the delicate body, blocking out everything. It makes his statement of Taehyung staying quiet irrelevant.
His dick throbs, straining against his tight jeans. Jungkook frees his erection and forcefully shoves his length into Taehyung's body.
-
Behind the door is someone. An individual with different thoughts and a love for Jeon Jungkook.
-
He knows.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
In this world I am ripped to shreds. My very being isolated.
Is that a good thing?
Maybe so, because I have you.
No matter what....
-
Buildings dance and traffic sings as Taehyung drags himself through the city. Joyous laughter invades his ears. Normally, Taehyung would find this pleasant, like the beautiful notes of a piano. But now it's all ruckus. There's no music. Only the harsh banging of imaginary fists clashing against the instrument.
Taehyung's shaky hands raise and cover his ears. He tries to block it out, but the sounds are defying. They force their way into his mind. It's painful. Unbelievably more so than the sharp shots in his lower back, which cause an obvious limp. Many people stare at him. Their concerning gazes make Taehyung sick.
Why had so many people come out tonight?
Taehyung staggers a bit and almost trips. He's caught by a random stranger. It's a man. Maybe in his forties. The stranger offers a soft smile, "Are you alright?"
Taehyung can hear the sweet honey dripping off his rich voice. This stranger is without a doubt kindhearted. Yet Taehyung is hesitant to go near him. Listening to his mind for once, Taehyung shoves the man away. The kind stranger's eyes widen in shock. He watches Taehyung limp across the worn cement of the sidewalk.
Wind sweeps across Taehyung's face. He can feel his tear stains in the process of drying. He can also feel his body giving up. If the wind came with just a bit more force, he's sure his weak body would've collapsed. Taehyung is thankful it didn't, because he needs to get home. Where he belongs. With Jin.
Not with Jungkook.
Not EVER with Jungkook.
Stupid.
That's what Taehyung is. He's the embodiment of the word itself. It all began when he handed his trust over to the young threat, like it was gift. Like he was a gift. This act leaving Taehyung exposed and vulnerable. But Jungkook was so...perfect in Taehyung's eyes at first.
Now he's the Devil, who had successfully lured Taehyung into his trap. That's where Taehyung fell into the flames and burned. If only Taehyung had followed his gut. There was always something off about Jungkook. But like some fool in love, Taehyung followed his heart. That's how he ended up in Jungkook's clutches crying, begging, and screaming...
Who knows for how long?
It was still daylight.
He suffered agonizing hours of Jungkook--raping him.
A Monster.
Taehyung can still feel Jungkook's gentle touches after he finished. It was night by then. Taehyung can't fathom how Jungkook went from recklessly beating into him to caressing him, as if caring for a newborn. The switch is terrifying. Bile rises in Taehyung's throat.
He pukes. It could be from the thought of Jungkook. However, it's more likely from overexertion. Taehyung realizes how hungry and thirsty he is. He needs to get home now.
-
It's quiet in his neighborhood. The dimly lit street lights summon a calm aura. There aren't too many people around. The atmosphere would seem perfect for easing Taehyung, but it's not. It's the stars. They're shining so brightly. Flashbacks from his lonely nights appear. He was content with everything around him.
His undeniable crush on Jungkook.
Namjoon and Jin.
Now he just wants it all to stop. At least before it has time to blossom into something worse.
He and Jin's house comes into view. Stiffly, Taehyung runs (kind of) to and through their front door. It slams loudly. Ignoring the kitchen, Taehyung's feet guide him to the only place he's ever truly felt safe. The bedroom.
He lays down on the plush mattress. The stars stare back at him. He rolls onto his side, not wanting to look at them. It's now he notices he's alone. Jin's not here...again. Namjoon's face comes to mind. Taehyung grits his teeth. He doesn't understand.
Then, the bedroom phone lights up.
One voicemail.
In hopes of it being his lover, Taehyung eagerly plays it.
"Where are you?" Taehyung's blood runs cold. "I woke up and you were gone. Sweetheart please come back soon. Okay? Love you."
Tears resurface in Taehyung's brown eyes. Suddenly he feels dirty. Jin doesn't deserve that. Slowly, Taehyung lifts himself and enters the clean, white bathroom. He strips and walks into the shower.
Once it's on, Taehyung can't help but increase the temperature of the water. It pours down scorching hot. Taehyung scrubs. He can hear Jungkook's groans in his ear. Sweetheart. Taehyung scrubs. His skin may be red and blistering, but he needs to be clean.
For Jin.
For Himself.
He gets out and dresses in Jin's shirt. It hangs loosely off Taehyung's shoulder. He's always had a smaller frame compared to his broad shouldered boyfriend.
Taehyung finds himself seated on the large bed.
He waits.
Jin usually comes home at five or six. Taehyung knows this. It's not like he was always asleep when Jin returned from his long nights. All Taehyung has ever wanted was for Jin to be safe and healthy. If checking on him meant staying up countless hours, then Taehyung did and does.
Time goes by.
-
It's half past five when Jin returns.
"Tae-taehyung!" Jin shouts in utter shock. His hands automatically try to cover his red, swollen lips.
Taehyung replies with a sob," Jinnie.." He holds his arms out.
At this moment, Jin is only thinking the worst. Could it be? Has Taehyung found out about his affair? Jin hurries over and scoops Taehyung in his arms. Nothing hurts Jin more than seeing his Darling cry.
"Shh, it's okay," Jin consoles Taehyung, who's crying in his neck. "I didn't mean it. What can I do to make it up to you?"
Taehyung pulls away. Jin gets a good look at the angry red marks on the tan skin. He's jealous, but dismisses it. This has to be Taehyung getting back at him. And he can't blame him.
"I want to leave this city....with you..." Taehyung's ragged voice whispers.
Jin is speechless, but he loves Taehyung. Only him.
"Okay."
-
Take me away.

Heeyy! It's Me, your author! ♡♡♡This is not an update..I know I'm sorry! It's just, I've been busy lately and feeling blah, which makes me unmotivated...But I'm gonna fix that soon. I hope! :)This note is long overdue.1. THANK YOU To all of my wonderful readers ~Most of you, I think come from the first work I've ever published here. It's titled My Dead Sweetheart. If you haven't read it, you should. That piece of work is special to me, despite how cringe it is.. -_-It got more support than I thought it would. I was so shocked, because who would like my writing? That's when I realized something. I would like to pursue writing as a career. Something that I haven't thought about doing since I was 12.I want to thank ALL of you for the support and for making my first month on AO3 memorable. :)2. PURPOSEWhy I write what I write ~I've been writing for so long. Sometimes I do it for fun or, because I was inspired. Inspiration gives me purpose. The purpose of this story was to be different and focus on things that drive us, like emotions. If you noticed, my characters feel a lot of things, including things they shouldn't feel. Before you continue with this story, I'm gonna put it out there. It will not end happily. This hurts me, because VKook is my OTP...but I need to fulfill my purpose or I'll feel empty. My writing is so dark, but in real life I'm like the sunshine...I mean, compared to my writing at least. :)If you read this whole thing...THANKS SO MUCH!I missed you all!
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Tick tock.
The clock goes foward, never going back.
What's done is done.
What's yet to be, is to be.
Tick tock.
-
Bloody fists collide harshly with the shiny, brown door. There's no immediate answer, but that's understandable. It's currently ten post meridiem on a cold January night. Most people should be inside their homes seeking warmth and comfort. But of course, Jeon Jungkook defies that logic as he continues to pound on the door loudly. Still faced with the unanswered door Jungkook begins to whine and yell.
"Yaaah," his voice raises pitch a bit. "Hyung, open the door!"
This goes on for a good two minutes, before the sound of locks opening catches Jungkook's attention. The door opens revealing a startled Jimin.
"Kookie! What are you doing here so late?!" Jimin screeches and attempts to fix his bed head.
With all the loud noise coming from the two boys, one of Jimin's neighbors intervenes. "Hi, yeah it's me your neighbor! My kids are trying to sleep. Can you and this guy be quiet?! Okay, thank you!" The neighbor's door shuts hard behind him.
Jimin is left bewildered. Everyone in his apartment complex was so nice. He never expected one of them to snap like that. He purses his lips and looks around worriedly. He didn't want to upset anybody else, so he quickly pulls Jungkook into his home.
Jungkook stumbles through the door after the elder. He almost falls, but Jimin and his quick reflexes catch him.
"Oh," Jimin mumbles as he guides Jungkook to his black, leather couch. "Are you alright Kookie?"
Jungkook nods taking in his surroundings. It's really warm in the tan colored walls. However, no matter how much he tries to understand, everything still remains confusing and fuzzy.
Jimin takes Jungkook's face in between his small hands. He frowns, "Kookie...you're drunk."
Jungkook looks into Jimin's eyes his own dilated. "Ah, who are you?"
The words that come from the younger sadden Jimin. "It's me, Jimin. You're at my apartment right now."
"Really?" Jungkook questions. "I thought this was Yoongi hyung's place."
Jimin internally seethes at the mention of his ex. The one who cheated on him with Jung Fucking Hoseok! Jimin can't blame Jungkook for forgetting that Yoongi had moved out a long time ago. The kid is wasted. But it hurts that Jungkook would rather see Yoongi than him. The green-eyed monster awakens within him, but he's not sure who for. Is he jealous of Jungkook or Yoongi?
It has to be his new love, Jungkook.
Yes. It is....
"I'm gonna go to Yoongi and Hoseok hyung's house?"
As soon as Jungkook speaks those words, Jimin is on him like a fly on the wall. "Please, don't leave. You're too drunk. Stay and I'll make you some tea."
"Wh--" Jungkook starts, but is cut off by his hyung.
"I don't want to be alone Kookie. If you have one ounce of love in your heart, you'll stay."
The maknae did have love in his heart. For Taehyung.
"Fine."
-
The two boys sit in silence for about forty-five minutes watching movies and sipping tea. With each intake of the sweet liquid, Jungkook becomes more and more sober.
Jimin is feeling...nervous. He has never been alone with the other like this, ever. He places his tea on the coffee table and finds his gaze on Jungkook. There's a twinkle in his eyes and Jimin would love to see it everyday of his life. A childish giggle creeps past Jungkook's lips. Jimin assumes something comedic had occurred, but his maknae is so beautiful. Unconscious of his actions, Jimin doesn't realize he's kissing Jungkook's neck till the other pushes him away, and his small body hits the ground.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Jimin?!" Anger is clear in Jungkook's tone.
"I--i wa--was," Jimin stutters. "Uh, kissing your neck..."
Jungkook scoffs. "Why the fuck for!"
Jimin bites his plump lips. "Because...I lu--love you Jeon Jungkook! More than a friend! I have ever since Yoongi hyung and I broke up..."
"Oh...isn't this something?" Jungkook chuckles. "Do you actually think I could ever, would ever, have feelings..for you?"
"It could--"
"No! It couldn't be possible. You're just my hyung! Not that, that title makes you anymore important.."
A little whimper escapes Jimin. He looks down in embarrassment and shame.
"The only person I love goes by the name of Kim Taehyung. And you're not him, are you?"
Jimin raises his head just in time to see Jungkook leave. The younger shrugs on his black sweater, placing his hood on. Then, the door opens and closes. Jimin is sad, but, more so angry. At Taehyung and Jungkook. Taehyung left a 'good' thing behind and Jungkook is too stupid to see that Taehyung broke him.
Taehyung and Jin left months ago, yet Jungkook still tries.
Jimin's done trying.

"Darling, I'll be home soon. Okay?"
Jin pecks Taehyung's plush, thick lips. Taehyung sighs, "Jinnie, it's almost midnight. Can't you go tomorrow?"
"Baby, I can't. This is really important. This needs to be done now."
"What is 'this'?"
"Something perfect." Jin smiles.
Taehyung nods cutely with a pout on his lips, and draws Jin into a passionate kiss. He mumbles against Jin's lips, "Okay, be safe. I love you so much."
"I love you even more." Jin responds. The truth is, he's going to pick up Taehyung's engagement ring. He has it all planned. He will cook an extravagant breakfast with roses. Then, he will propose and Taehyung will be his and he will be Taehyung's. Jin doesn't regret ending things with Namjoon and he's sure he never will.
-
Taehyung hugs his silk robe closer as he watches Jin pull out of the dirt driveway. Their new home was definitely an upgrade compared to their last one. Here, they were in the country. No neighbors. No Jungkook.
That last part was kind of a lie. Jungkook still has his ways of getting to Taehyung. No matter how many times he had his number changed, Jungkook always found out. His almond shaped eyes travel to the closet. Jungkook had bought him a birthday present. It's a white, fuzzy sweater. The note told Taehyung it was custom made for him. Unable to look at it, Taehyung stuck it deep in the closet. Hopefully, he or Jin never sees it again. After all, Jin knew nothing of Taehyung and Jungkook. Taehyung prays it will stay like that.
Taehyung lays down on the bed. They had a skylight here too. There were even more stars here and Taehyung adored the sight.
He looks to his nightstand. The phone glows.
One voicemail.
With shaky hands, Taehyung plays it.
"Sweetheart, I'm sorry! I know what I did was wrong. Just please, forgive me and comeback!" The voice practically wails.
Taehyung feels tears well up in his eyes. He hated for others to be in misery.
He jumps when the bedroom door creaks open. Standing in the doorway is a hooded figure.
"Jinnie?"
-
Tick tock.
The clock strikes twelve.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
To be flying, but falling.
To be free, but trapped.
To be alive, but already buried six feet deep.
-
"Jinne?"
The hooded figure stands still, absent of movement. Taehyung's eyes glimmer with fear at the lack of response. He tightly closes his eyes. Maybe then..whatever...whoever would go away. He felt like a child again. Taehyung was always an imaginative boy. Sometimes it got the best of him and his worst nightmares would come to life before him, like now.
He breathes in deeply trying to control his rapidly beating heart. Nothing has happened and his mind tells him to open his eyes, but his gut says no. Taehyung decides that he should open them. He does and the hooded figure is gone.
Taehyung lets out a breathy chuckle. His fingers run through his fluffy hair. He grips tightly on the strands of the brown mass, like some sort of self-punishment. This was a habit of his. Whenever, he felt he did something wrong he'd do something small to discipline himself. Once he felt he's pulled hard enough he releases his hair.
Then, Taehyung walks over to his vanity. It stays lit with beautiful lighting making him feel gorgeous. However, in his mirror he can see the open door. It makes him feel too tense for comfort. With slow steps Taehyung makes his way towards the bedroom door. Suddenly the phone rings. Taehyung jumps, head whipping towards the nightstand.
"I'm losing it, right?" Taehyung whispers to no one in particular.
He picks up the phone. "Yes?"
"It's Jin. I was just checking up on you. Are you okay?" Taehyung's lover asks.
Taehyung calms himself, putting on a facade. "Of course, I'm perfectly fine. When are you going to be back? It's twelve you know.."
"I know," Jin replies. Taehyung can hear the smile in his voice. "I'll be there in a good fifteen to thirty minutes. Be good and sleep."
"Now? Without you?"
"Yes! My Darling you need your beauty rest."
Taehyung actually giggles. It's one full of happiness and the butterflies erupt inside of him.
"So," Jin begins. "Will you sleep?"
Taehyung places his pointer finger on his bottom lip. "Mmmm...I guess."
"Good, sleep well. I love you."
The thought that Jin might actually mean that makes smile. "I love you too. I'll be here waiting for cuddles."
"Goodbye."
That's the last thing Taehyung hears before the call ends. Something about that didn't settle well with him. Saying 'Goodbye' is one thing that Taehyung hates, because it's forever.
"See you soon." The words escape his mouth without thought. "Yes." A voice whispers in his ear.
Everything around him freezes. Taehyung doesn't want to even breathe. Nothing can stop the next events from occurring. It's not his fate, but things happen. Life is unfair and unexpected.
Taehyung can clearly hear the unknown man, according to the voice, breathing in his ear. He takes one step and runs heading towards the door. But he's immediately stopped by the thick rope that wraps around his neck.
Taehyung gasps, his arm stretches out for the open door. With a tug he falls back onto the bed. The unknown man sits all his weight on Taehyung and traps Taehyung's arms between his thighs.
This can't be it. Taehyung knees the man in his crotch, unfortunately it's not hard enough.
"Fuck! Stop it!" The figure on top of him hisses.
What scares Taehyung is not the words or harshness of them. It's the familiarity of the voice and this man.
Everything inside hurts. Taehyung needs to hold on. Jin is only minutes away...he just needs to...The world goes in and out of focus. The rope tightens and so does his body, as it panics for air. Taehyung's eyes are open, tears evident. Instead of looking at the faceless criminal, he gazes up at the stars. They grow in size as Taehyung's vision struggles.
Then...he's gone.
-
The murderer stares at the lifeless body. Yet he continues to tighten the rope as much as he can. His knuckles turn white, but he doesn't stop. This is his outlet for all of his pent-up aggression and frustration. But he does stop when he looks into Taehyung's open eyes. With his gloved hand he moves to shut the beauty's eyes.
It had to be done.
He leaves the body on the bed heading towards the desk in the corner. Pulling out a small journal, he flips through it. It's Taehyung's, so he studies it a bit before ripping a clean piece out. He mimics the particular handwriting. The man knows exactly what to put in it, because he knows everything.
After he finishes he places it down on the desk. His attention back on the beautiful victim. He prepares Taehyung on the bed. Taking everything into consideration. Like placing the rope perfectly and making sure to knot it on Taehyung's left. The boy was lefthanded after all.
He picks the body up bridal style. The destination is only a couple feet outside the bedroom. The man stops right in front of the railing that later leads to stairs down. He places Taehyung on the ground and ties the other end of the rope onto the outside of the railing. The murderer picks Taehyung's body up and pushes him over the railing. Taehyung's body goes down quick. The man thinks he may have even heard something crack.
Quickly, the man runs back into the room, paper in hand. He sprints down the stairs and there he sees his doing.
Taehyung hangs, body swaying slightly. A complete hanging.
-
Jin steps into the house, ring in hand. The first thing he does is go to the kitchen. As he's about to open the refrigerator, he sees the paper on it held up with a magnet.
It's a note. Jin smiles thinking it may be a sweet gesture from his baby, but it's not. His heart pounds in his ears. The details of the note speak about Jin's affair and Taehyung's insecurities.
His suicide.
Jin drops the note and rushes to go upstairs. He stops when he sees his hanging lover.
"NO!" He cries. Jin clambers up the stairs as fast as he can.
He pulls the rope up, Taehyung's body following with it. Jin practically rips it apart trying to save him. But he knows it's too late.
"Wake up Darling. Please." Jin begs into Taehyung's ears. He holds Taehyung's hand. "It's okay.....don't be scared. It's Jinnie."
"Wake up now."
Taehyung remains unresponsive.
"PLEASE!"
His sobs wreck through the entire house.
-
Goodbye.
