The thing is, when Seokjin announced that the Macau Wings heart event would be the final one, he’d truly meant it. He had every intention of developing a new ARMY fanservice concept. Every quest to locate the hidden heart(s) caused quite the riot, but surely they'd get boring if overdone. It was time to rethink and come up with something better. However, nights before the Seoul Encore series, Seokjin finds himself in his bedroom with his eternal roommate slash boyfriend cutting up tiny felt hearts and threading them onto a string. "Isn't this gonna bore our ARMYs? It's literally the same thing I did in Macau!" whines Seokjin petulantly. For some reason, Yoongi had insisted that Seokjin should do one last heart event. This time, the chain of hearts would be hidden in Yoongi's chest pocket. "They'll love it, hyung!" says Yoongi reassuringly. "Everyone loves us as a couple. They'll love that you're literally tugging at my… my… heartstring... Come on!" Seokjin smiles happily, immensely touched at his boyfriend’s excellent punning abilities. Yoongi then proceeds to distract Seokjin by kissing the hell out of him, so any reluctance is quickly forgotten. A little while before it’s time for the heart event, Seokjin passes Yoongi the chain of hearts, pecking him on the lips as he whispers, "We're gonna rock this!" "You're gonna love it," replies Yoongi, wistfully staring into Seokjin's eyes as he caresses his face. It’s a pretty weird and vague thing for Yoongi to say, but Seokjin brushes it off as concert jitters.
Onstage, Seokjin makes an absolute show of feeling himself up and pretending to search high and low for the hearts. He then gropes his member's butts, chests, and legs. Everyone except Yoongi, of course. The crowd cheers and screams, thoroughly amused and enthralled. Finally, he pretends to scratch his head in confusion and proclaims, "Hmm. Just one more place I have yet to search!" He starts touching Yoongi everywhere from head to toe, careful to not touch his chest (and any bits that may result in arrest for public indecency). Several Yoonjin shippers in the audience (also those at home, watching livestreams) have passed out by now. After one final squeeze of Yoongi's butt, he slides his hand into Yoongi's pocket, smiling when he feels the familiar felt texture.
He yells, "AHA!" and begins to pull the string out. Interestingly, Yoongi looks a little shy and nervous as the entire chain of hearts emerges. "WOW!" screams Seokjin when he reaches the end, holding the string out with glee. Taehyung and Jimin are cracking up by now. Actually, everyone's wolf-whistling and that's really nice, but also baffling. Yoongi’s still looking sheepish. But he takes a long deep breath and then booms, "Read the words on the hearts!" into the mic. Seokjin gasps in shock. In large bolded font on each heart, are English alphabets. "M. A. R. R. Y. M. E!" reads Seokjin, blushing furiously. A wave of comprehension hits him. “M-Marry me,” he says, voice shaky in pure disbelief. His face heats up even more as he notices a sparkling ring with a gigantic (tacky) heart-shaped diamond, dangling at the end of the string. Yoongi gets down on one knee, smiles brightly at Seokjin. "Hyung, you may think that you just took my heart. But no, you've stolen my heart since day one. Will you marry me?" Overwhelmed with love for this beautiful, lovely, wonderful man, Seokjin’s heart starts speeding like a bullet train. He’s suddenly unable to speak, but he manages to nod shyly at his future husband. The crowd bursts into a thunderous round of applause as Yoongi slides the ring, still attached to the chain of hearts, onto Seokjin's ring finger. "Min Seokjin! Kim Yoongi! Min Seokjin! Kim Yoongi!" chants the rabid audience on repeat, ocean of ARMY bombs now lit in colors of the rainbow. The moment couldn’t be more perfect. “Congratulations to the newly engaged Yoonjin couple!” announces Namjoon fondly, pushing their heads together. Soon, Yoongi and Seokjin are squished into a massive bearhug by their bandmates. They’re cheek to cheek and their hands naturally find a way to each other’s. Seokjin’s never been happier. Everything after that is like a haze. Somehow they finish their thank you speeches, bounce off the stage, change into comfortable clothes, and make their way back to the dorm. Later that night, after the happy couple’s had a round of celebratory engagement sex, during which Seokjin’s still wearing the ring attached to the string of hearts, Yoongi says softly, "Sorry that my heart event ended up cooler than all of yours." He grins mischievously when Seokjin smacks his shoulder in mock anger. “You stole my thunder," replies Seokjin. "But I'm not mad. I've stolen your heart." (And then they bang again.) Their wedding is gaudy as fuck, with chains of sequinned red hearts decking every inch of the wedding hall. But Seokjin wouldn't have had it any other way.
An A+ edit of engaged Seokjin
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
BTS is on a mission - they're about to put on the most kick-ass performance ever for BTS Festa 2017. One Min Yoongi, however, has a more important mission. He's going to propose to Kim Seokjin, bandmate, best friend, best roommate, and more importantly, the love of his life. Despite what most people may think, Yoongi is not lazy. He just doesn't bother with things he barely gives a fuck about. He's got more important things to do, excuse me. Like writing music, holding hands with Seokjin, sleeping, rehearsing, keeping in touch with old friends, more sleeping, more writing music, more sleeping, kissing Seokjin, getting off with Seokjin, and so on. So fuck you, if you're expecting such a busy man to appear excited and perky 24/7. Yoongi's all or nothing. Go hard or go home. He'll focus his energies and efforts only on things and people he loves. For now, Yoongi's key priority is to plan the most beautiful, amazing, jaw-dropping proposal that Seokjin will ever experience. (Not that he wants anyone else to propose to Seokjin; it's just that his boyfriend happens to be too goddamn attractive and Yoongi can't take any chances.) And boy is Yoongi gonna rock this proposal! He's gonna do it when Seokjin least expects it. A good place would be the dance studio, maybe when they're rehearsing for Festa 2017. When Yoongi's about to sing (or, actually, butcher) Awake. Seokjin is a private person but Yoongi knows that he'd be glad that the rest of BTS and their closest staff members were there to observe the happy occasion. (Hoseok would actually cry if he wasn't invited to witness their proposal.) Plus, Yoongi's pretty sure he's been in love with Seokjin since the day of their debut, so it's sorta special, you know? To help Yoongi remember all the wonderful things he's going to say to convince Seokjin to marry him, he's created a couple of lists. Namely, stuff he loves about his boyfriend, stuff they've done together as friends, stuff they've done together as boyfriends, and finally, stuff he wants them to do together as a couple. Yoongi's excited. They're going to be so, so happy. xxx

"Hyung, will you marry me?" Seokjin turns, unshields his eyes and god, he's beautiful, especially with his pink-tinted cheeks and ears. "You dumbass," Seokjin says, reaching into his pockets, and Yoongi's stomach does a funny swoop. Seokjin pulls out a sparkling, glittering diamond ring and, Oh. It's like their hearts, minds, and souls are aligned already. Like they're already one. "I hate you," says Seokjin, but there's not a hint of malice in his words. Yoongi feels a smile coming. "Yoongi-chii, will you be my eternal roomie even when we're married? To each other?"
