Silent silver specks of snow falling to the ground
Among an endless empty battlefield, spent casings all around
Testaments to murder and to death, lay at rest now
Never to show life again as we pass through a ghost townSprawling grand metropolis, futuristic ruins lie
Telling tales in foreign words of times long gone by
Destination somewhere, maybe up, we can't decide
Where inside this dying world, a future might we findFathom this
Skeletal bombers
Thousand years old
Rusted out tanks
Tribute to a dead worldFathom this
With just each other
A rifle, some food
Some fuel and some water
Their helmets and bootsMonths alone before new contact, there is life on this Earth
Washing out from the sewers, a dead fish of endless worth
Crossing black abysses climbing over fallen towers
To reach the distant pillar and ascend in countless hoursGifted with photography to create new memories
Scaling the inside of a temple to unknown deities
Listen to the rain and let it sooth and ease your mind
Be the ones to document the last flight of mankindFathom this
Who else is left
Who can survive
Billions once past
Now all have diedFathom this
How can we know
What came before
If you can't read
There is no moreDecay
Running our minds
Running our lives
Running our programs
Telling us liesMadness
Tortures my soul
Swimming in sadness
Bathed in loneliness
Immersed and despisedGiants
Watching me closely
How can I sleep
How can I eat
How can I dieMonsters
Eating around me
Eating beneath me
Warning the end
Eating my only friendCan you fathom this?Fathom this
A world dying slowly
Embalmed in despair
Quiet and lonely
There's nobody thereFathom this
All life disappearing
Technology failing
In void Earth is swallowed
And we will follow
