Jimin would be lying if he said he wasn’t nervous. From the luxurious car to his clothing, he felt like he was in a movie. He was being sent as a gift to a neighboring pack along with four other omegas that seemed to be excited in comparison to him. While the others spoke in glee about finally having an alpha, Jimin’s fingers fumbled with the edges of his lace shirt, twisting the fabric around his pointer finger. The shirt was comfortable despite the intricate design of thin lines and swirls. The gray lace was a delicate contrast with his toned body lines from years of dance and blended nicely with his pale complexion. The design was elegant and enhanced the natural curves from his slim waist to his thick hips and thighs. His silk slacks were the same color and left no room for imagination with how they hugged his upper thighs. His hair was dyed from black to gray in order to match the color scheme the designers picked out for him.

However, despite how beautiful the clothing were, he couldn’t help but feel constricted in them, not use to wearing such expensive material. The other omegas had similar clothing with different colors and designs, each fitting to their body type and scent to make them all more appealing. The Busan pack had worked hard to make each one as beautiful as possible in order to avoid any returning home. It would be an embarrassment if any were rejected by the Degu pack leaders, symbolizing that the Busan pack was lacking.

It was a random draw, picking from a group of the most beautiful omegas the Busan pack had to offer in order to give to the Degu pack as the final part of the treaty. Jimin could remember feeling his stomach drop as his name was called. The fear of not know who was suppose to claim him as their own was eating him alive. His parents had remained quiet, not caring about the whole situation to begin with. If anything, they looked relieved to finally get rid of him. It didn’t come as a surprise, but he had hoped that they would show some sort of sadness with him leaving.

Degu was different in comparison to Busan in many ways. The city was much more modern with bright lights decorating the buildings. Although it was early evening, some of the buildings were lit up and filled with life. People of all ranks wandered around the town, from shopping to eating. His eyes followed a mixed rank group after seeing how comfortable they all were with each other. His eyes softened at how they interacted with carefree energy. The Busan pack lacked what the Degu pack had, equality.

Despite the beautiful city and culture of the Degu pack, Jimin wasn't he interested in becoming some random alpha's omega. He wanted to go home, but there wasn’t much left for him there to begin with how his parents were dismissive of him. He liked to think that if he were the first born that he wouldn’t be hated by his parents. After giving birth to a beta son, his parents had expected another child of equal or higher rank, not an omega. It didn’t help that the Busan pack was known for abusing omegas, especially male omegas.

Thousands of years ago when the first packs had roamed, everyone had followed the strict hierarchy of alpha, beta, and omega because of our natural instinct. This was the way of living for many years until omegas began to speak up about mistreatment and abuse. This lead to a revolution of equal rights and respect regardless of rank in packs, but that did not mean everyone wanted to change their ways. There were those that had wanted a traditional system and clawed their way to the top in packs in order to restore the old values and systems. The Busan pack was one of the few that followed the traditional system, but that didn’t hinder some omegas finding success and stability with their life.

However, Jimin was not one of the lucky few. He lived a quiet and simple life, never attracting too much attention. His family was cold and harsh towards him but had never laid a hand on him. His parents were a respected couple in the pack; in order to maintain that respect, they had shown that they were tolerant towards Jimin regardless of his omega rank. He was thankful for it, but that didn’t stop the hate from others. Jimin was one of many that fell victim to bullying at school or in public settings from those who knew him. He hated how he was unable to speak out against the negative acts because he knew that if he did then this life would be much worse. In order to maintain the little peace he had between his family and him, he took the beatings and comments from others.

“We have arrived, omegas.”

A chill trickled down his spine as he made contact with the driver through the review mirror. He could feel his chest caving in with reality kicking in. There was no turning back now. His eyes flickered over to the giant mansion that was settled in a gated area. The design of it was modern with geometric shapes and monochromatic color. Large windows had decorated the walls, allowing for a glimpse of the interior which was similar to the exterior. The garden around it was also modern and simplistic. The colors of the flowers were bland, but as a whole it worked with the style of the house. It was lovely despite the cold aura it had.

Squeals of excitement resounded from the car and omegas began to file out one by one when the door opened. Jimin found himself the last to exit the car and gently took the hand offered to him from the driver. He gave a small but kind smile before muttering a quiet thanks. He stood in spot at the back of the group. While the others spoke to each other in happy tones, Jimin had his eyes trained on the individuals walking out of the house towards them.

Each one had held their head high and their pheromones had reeked of alpha. It was a mixture of unfamiliar scents that had his nose twitching. The group of three consisted of two males and a female, each dressed in designer clothing that highlighted their status. Gold seemed to be dripping from each of them with their accessories sparkling in the setting sunlight. The men were dressed in suits while the woman had a long navy blue dress that pooled at her feet. Jimin was intimidated despite the warm smiles each of them had.

“Welcome, omegas.”

One of the males had spoke, signaling for the group to quiet down. The result was immediate with the other four quickly closing their mouth and their eyes focusing on the man. It was noticeable how pleased he was with their submission as he smiled before speaking again.

“We welcome you to the Degu pack and hope you all had a comfortable ride.”

The other omegas were unable to contain themselves while Jimin could only feel his anxiety rising. The group of omegas pheromones had spiked in excitement as the man continued on with his speech.

“Inside are the following alphas that will be claiming you. They hold the highest positions within the pack. You will be called into the conference room one by one in order for the alphas to view you. We hope you find the perfect match.”

The alphas gray eyes locked with Jimin’s brown ones as he spoke the last sentence, almost as if he were hinting at him. Jimin could feel the hairs on his neck rise and his shoulders felt stiff. The shirt he wore suddenly felt hot, despite the see-through material, and the pants were no longer comfortable. The movement was noticeable but none of the alphas commented. He glanced away and settled his eyes on the elegant garden before finding his eyes to the gravel at his feet. His black dress shoes were suddenly interesting enough to study.

There was a small cheer from the omegas around him, each hoping for an alpha to claim them and take them home. There was an underlying fear to their excitement as they each knew what would happen if they weren’t claimed. It didn’t help with the unsettling feeling that pooled at the pit of his stomach. His fingers began to play with the lace again, finding some comfort in it.

“Follow me inside if there are no questions then.”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Despite the excitement the other omegas had shown throughout the trip, they were slow to enter the hour. Each one took caution just as Jimin was as they settled inside. It was a natural reaction to the unfamiliar territory and scents. The male alpha that was speaking before held the door open while the other two alphas had them stopped in foyer.

Not to Jimin’s surprise, the interior was monochromatic like the outside that was decorated with simple chairs and tables. There was just enough furniture for people to relax on but not too much to where it would be crowded. There were a couple of plants to brighten the room with some color aside from the sunlight shinning in from the windows. The floors sparkled from the sunlight, making it seem like they were walking on stars.

The door slammed shut behind him, causing the group to jump and whip their head back. The alpha had a sheepish smile, seeming embarrassed and not knowing it would be that loud. He said a quick apology with an awkward chuckle before the female alpha in the front cleared her throat.

“Well then, if everyone is ready than shall we proceed to the room?”

There were a couple of yes, ma’am’s and nods of heads in response. She smiled before turning around and walking down the hall, not needing to tell them to follow her. Jimin stayed toward the back of the group as they were lead down a hall. His eyes glanced over the various pictures hanging that ranged from portraits to family photos. As they walked further down he noticed that the colors shifted to black and white before turning to detailed drawings, showcasing how old the territory was. The pictures were all delicately framed with a black wooden frame that didn’t bring the focus away from the individuals in each picture.

Shoes clicking against the marble floor echoed in the hall as the omegas no longer spoke to each other. Each seemed to realize how serious the situation became and were more nervous than before. The walk seemed longer than it was, only being a couple of minutes, yet feeling like it was an hour. The sound of people speaking grew louder as they walked, starting out as a mere whisper. They stopped at the end of the hall in front of a large, black double door. There was chattering behind the door, laugher sounding every once and awhile. Everyone came to a stop, and the alphas had faced them again.

“Please wait here as we bring you in one by one. Rose we will start off with you.”

The doors opened, and Rose disappeared into the room her long black hair swaying as she walked with confidence. She was a beautiful omega, not doubt would attract the attention of at least one alpha. The two male alphas followed behind her into the room. The whiff of alpha pheromones caught the other images off guard with how strong it was. There were many different scents that Jimin feeling dizzy from them all. The faint scent of lavender had lingered in Jimin’s nose, feeling calmed by the smell. The door closed shut while the female alpha stood next to it, waiting to call in the next omega. The alpha that had spoken to them outside was heard through the doors, introducing the omega, before the chattering of others began.

Time seemed to slow down with how long it took before another omega was whisked away into the room. Jimin felt more nervous as each one went in one at a time, leaving him standing alone outside. None of them had came back out, leaving him to assume that each had caught the interest of some alpha in the room. He became more tense with the realization hit that he would be called into the room at any moment. Jimin didn’t have the same confidence as the other omegas, for sad reasons. Each walked in with their head high and he only hoped he could do the same.

“Are you ready, Jimin?”

His gaze found the alpha women’s. There was no judgement or hatred, only warmth. Unable to speak, he just nodded his head in response, and she opened the door.
