He hated this. Deep in his heart he could feel it, the darkness that grew as time went on since Karai left him to go to Japan to take care of the Foot clan there, she didn’t even give a reason to dump him! She just said it was over and then left the next day! He could at times hear it. Her words that were spoken to him when she was leaving him. And it still hurt him, he wanted to lose that darkness, to find a way for it to leave but he knew his brothers couldn’t help him… for they were going through the same thing he was at the moment. It had only been three years since they were dumped, three years would have been easy to heal from the heartbreak. But it wasn’t like that for them, each of them got dumped in different ways that was horrible to them and all they could do was try to heal in there own way as they no longer had there sensei to speak to about there problems, it had only been a few weeks that there romance came to the lair after the death of there father… then a year in the relationships they were dumped as for three years they tried to all heal on their own. Leo sat on his bed, the nightstand lamp turned on to bring some light in his room, his t-phone in hand as he looked over the pictures and texts messages he and Karai sent to one another. He always wondered if he was the one who did something to make her leave him, if so… then what was it? He had tried to think back to everything he had done but nothing that he did being bad came to mind which made him then worry of if she was the one who did something that made her then leave him because she was ashamed of it. He then thought back to his brother’s, the smile Donnie would have when April praised him and spoke about him as her boyfriend being the smartest, how Raph would laugh when he would get back from a date with Casey and when Mikey prepared amazing meals when Shinigami would come over. It was something he was happy about each time when he saw them and sometimes he would wonder what happened to him when something good happened with Karai in the subject, he turned to look at his alarm clock to see it was almost time for there nightly patrol, it was a must with the crime around the city coming at the moment so his family couldn’t really take a break. With a heavy sigh he set his t-phone in his belt and stood up, it was time to get his brothers ready for the patrol and he had to go and get them so they can be ready in thirty minutes. He went to the dojo where Raph was training “Raph, patrol time. Get ready” he said as his brother nodded, he turned to the couch where Mikey was “Patrol Mikey” he said as his little brother simply stood and moved to his room. He knew it was his way of getting ready leaving only the lab where Donnie was to get for patrol, he went towards the door just as the door opened as his brother came out with an empty mug of coffee “I'll be ready in a minute Leo” he said as he went to the kitchen to place the mug in the sink and then getting ready for patrol making him wait at the entrance for the others to arrive as he simply looked over the lair for each of them and where they were as Mikey and Donnie came towards him with Raph moments later. “Were only going to do an hour run around the city” he said making them nod in relief. He knew this very well, none of them wanted all that much to leave the lair so the fact that it would only be an hour out of the lair was good to them, they got going to an alley and got to a nearby roof knowing it would be there that their patrol will begin and then end before going home for the rest of the night and day. He looked over his siblings and could tell they hadn’t slept or eaten like they should and even he hadn’t done the same “After this hour run around the city we are all to sleep and eat so to get back up. I can tell that after everything that happened we are in need to get back on our feet’s” Leo explained making them nod as they then got going. They began to run, jumping and safely landing on the next roof, Leo began to focus on the energies around him and also the one belonging to his brother’s. he wanted to make sure that he could try to help them when he could or even if he could, he felt bad for them and the fact that he was a horrible brother, he didn’t try to talk to them or even to help them with some comfort as instead he focused on his own pain making him know he had to do his best to fix the problem he caused with his actions. The run was short and simple, they didn’t take a break and they didn’t stop for anything before getting back to the lair making Leo watch as his brother’s each went to there own spot to do there own thing making Leo sigh as he knew it would take time until he can fix things for each of them because of what he had most likely caused by him as he went to the kitchen to make some tea for himself only for Donnie to come over “I'll do it” he said making Leo nod as he watched his brother work on the drinks for himself and Leo to enjoy “What are you working on right now?” Leo asked, Donnie looked at him with slight surprise in his eyes as he wondered what to say “I’m working on some goggles to see heat that bodies make. That way if we were to fight Bebop we would be able to see him” Donnie explained making Leo nod. “That’s good, it will help us very well” Leo praised his brother making Donnie smile “But you should also eat and get some sleep. You look like you did neither for weeks” Leo continued making his brother look at his reflection for a moment “I guess so… just let me take care of a few things and then i'll get some sleep” Donnie explained making Leo nod as he then turned to see Mikey watching TV while Raph could be heard in the dojo making him wonder what he should do next to help his brother’s even just a little as he walked towards Mikey “Do you want to play a game Mikey?” he asked as his little brother turned to look at him slightly from the corner of his eyes “No thanks” he replied making Leo know he deserved that much for never trying to help his siblings since everything went down the hill. He knew that Mikey was having the hardest time after what happened to him, no one was sure how the break-up happened but he knew it broke Mikey and now he was just the shell of the turtle he once was. There were times where Leo almost thought his little brother was about to end his life but in the end nothing happened as Mikey was still around for another day, Leo slowly walked back to the kitchen to take his cup of tea… not noticing the pained look Donnie was sending him from what he saw happen between Leo and Mikey “You could have been nicer” Donnie hissed as Leo closed the door to his room once inside, Mikey shrugged his shoulders as Donnie grew angered just as Raph came in. “I don’t need him playing the whole ‘I’m your big brother so I’m gonna make you smile even though you’re not really happy and I don’t care’ act” Mikey said making Raph’s eyes widen at his brother as Donnie glared at him “He’s trying to help us while ignoring his own pain. Were all hurting after being dumped but your just being selfish” Donnie explained as Raph watched Mikey “He’s also hurting but you only care for yourself” Raph said before going to the bathroom for a shower as Donnie went to his lab leaving Mikey with the TV still on at the moment on a cooking show before he turned it off and went to his own room. Leo was once more on his bed, the cup of tea left on his nightstand as he was on his phone once more looking at the texts and pictures he had of Karai, he was so confused about everything that happened so far… yet he wanted his brother’s to be happy once more after what happened to them like himself, he didn’t really care of he was alone in the end while there happy but there joy was more important to him then anything else as he thought about what he could do so he could help them be happy once more but he simply didn’t know how to do that “There’s gotta be a way to help them” he whispered to himself as he set his t-phone down as he stood up to look at a picture. Donnie walked out of the lab, he was now tired and needed to sleep, it was as he went to set his mug in the sink that he turned… to see Raph at Leo’s bedroom door making him wonder what he was thinking on doing at the moment “Raph?” he asked in a whisper as Raph quickly turned to look at him in slight surprise from his voice. His brother walked towards him with a slight look of worry “I wanted to see if he wanted to spar a bit” he explained making Donnie nod and look at the time “He might be sleeping right now, wait until tomorrow to ask him” Donnie explained making Raph nod as he went to get himself some juice before heading to bed for the night “Why do you think Mikey became like this?” Raph asked as Donnie looked at his hands “His breakup with Shinigami was the worse from all ours. Adding the fact that none of us tried speaking to one another, he was left to himself to heal” Donnie explained making Raph nod as Donnie was then left to be alone in the kitchen before going to bed himself for the night.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
The lab, it was his home, his world, his work that has been cared for so well as Donatello saved his brother’s lives many times with his lab… but it also held memories where some of them he wishes to forget. After winning April from Casey, he focused on her love so to have her happy, he didn’t care if Casey glares at him for taking April and he didn’t care that he was focused on her calls or texts or when she comes over to the lair… he simply put her first of anything he had to do at all and not even his brother’s minded with how happy he was to have April as his girlfriend now and all, they were happy for him and felt bad for saying otherwise about his feelings for her would never be accepted which made him slowly believe them. But now… he feels like he did something wrong. He calculated, checked, took notes, scanned over everything, double checked, added new data, analyzed it, took more notes, triple checked and then gained the results of the same answer for the seventh time. She simply wanted a human to date her that can go outside in the day, who could buy her gifts and not things in the trash and then fix them up and could take her into restaurants for a date. It had all happened when Shredder vanished with some of his men, time went on and April came over to tell them that she and there other human friends were graduating, the lair was full of cheers, smiles drinking and celebrating, at one point April had asked to speak with Donnie in private which he believed to be for him to help her signing up to a good college to keep going with her dreams… but oh was he so wrong with that. She had said she was dumping him, simple as that, he had asked for the reason and she snapped, claiming he couldn’t do the things she ever wanted, take her out during the day or even to a nice place to eat, she claimed to be sick and tired of acting for the last four months like she was happy with him making his eyes widen at the fact that she had used her training to act like she still loved him… then came the low and cruel blow to his heart. “I should have dated a human” She then left the lair with the claims of being tired and the need to be ready to study in the morning for an exam lies and that she would be back later that night to hang with her boyfriend for college choices lies they had all said goodnight to her as she kissed Donatello’s cheek and said she loved him lies and then she left, the others continued to celebrate while he went to his room where he locked himself in with the want of being alone… but the fact that it wouldn’t happen in his room he then decided that once the guests were gone and his family was asleep he would get into his lab and lock it with the claims of a very busy project which he couldn’t let anyone in the lab for anything. It worked the next morning, Mikey had left him breakfast and coffee for him at the door to his lab which he took with gratitude and left a note there with the dishes to thank him, Leo had knocked to ask him if he had time to train, but he had claimed that he had sadly made a mess that he needed to clean before it dried and left a smell in his lab making the brother let him clean and allowed him to train before lunch which he thanked and went to later on, Raph had come over to bring him his lunch and his tool box that he had borrowed for his bike, he stayed in the lab for a bit as Donnie worked before going to watch some TV. Then… April arrived. She had let the brother’s know she would be in the lab with her boyfriend for her college sign-up, but Leo stopped her with Raph who explained the project Donnie was busy on as Mikey told her to leave him be for now, April had explained that she needed Donnie to help her until Leo told her to come back another time… she then snapped and accidently revealed the fact that she had dumped him last night. She looked at them with wide eyes while all three glared at her “I think you should leave” Leo growled making her slowly nod and run out of the lair, the lair became quiet for a moment before a knock on his lab door made him stop “May we come in?” Leo asked as he peeked into the lab. With a light tremble Donatello nodded, he couldn’t trust his voice to reveal how he was feeling at the moment to his brother’s, the trio walked inside slowly and closed the door quietly so that their brother wouldn’t jump, they slowly went over to him as the faint sound of things being placed on his desk could be heard “How are you little brother?” Raph asked, he didn’t look up due to the fact that while he was still shaking he was also crying at the moment “Fine” he mumbled while doing his best to hide the faint crack in his voice at the moment “April told us that she dumped you yesterday. How do you feel?” Mikey asked making Donnie sniffle lightly in hopes his brothers didn’t hear it. “I’m ok” he lied as Leo’s body moved to hold him, Mikey was the next to move and lastly Raph went for the hug, it wasn’t long before hiccups could be heard from the purple banded turtle “It’s going to be alright Donnie” Leo soothed, Donnie was laying on the couch with his head on Leo’s lap as he made soothing circles on the back of his head, neck and on his shell, Raph was on the floor by his feet massaging them gently “You’ll meet a girl better then April soon” he said as Leo nodded, Mikey walked back to them from the kitchen with a large plate of cucumber sandwiches for them to enjoy “April can go suck a dick for letting an awesome guy like you go” he said as Donnie lightly smiled to their words. Casey had called at one point, he explained that April had called and she had complained about the fact that Donnie was rude by refusing to help her for her sign-up to a college, Raph had to explain to him what had truly happened making his eyes widen as he texted in anger towards the redhead girl for lying to him, Splinter went to speak with his son everyday in his lab, Donnie would stop working and speak with his father for a few hours until it was time to eat or train, Leo would help Donnie a bit more during training due to the fact that there brother was having a slight hard time sleeping due to nightmares haunting him during the night these days, Mikey would make everything Donnie enjoyed to eat and bring it to his lab, he would then sit and watch his brother until he finished the meal and then leave with the dishes then during the second week, Donnie began leaving his lab to eat in the kitchen making Mikey smile at how well Donnie was doing at the moment. But then it was all destroyed. Week four came and Donnie stayed in his room, it was too quiet to the family so Leo and Raph decided to go check on Don as Mikey wasn’t finished making breakfast “Donnie!!” Leo yelled, they had discovered Donnie on his bed with his wrists bleeding and a small blade on the floor with his T-phone on a text from April “Just die you freak!! Your nothing more then trouble to me!!” she wrote and Donnie began doing what she wanted, they quickly brought him to his lab where Mikey and Splinter worked to help him the best they could as Leo and Raph cleaned up his room, three days later he woke up in his lab with Mikey at his side sleeping at the moment, his eyes looked up as Leo walked in with some water and eyes filled with pain and sorrow “Drink it” he said and with trembling hands Donnie took the cup and slowly drank the water down as he was asked. Once he finished, Leo carried Mikey to his room and then came back with Raph holding a plate of cucumber sandwiches for them to eat together, Donnie sadly didn’t eat much at the moment making his two big brother’s worry about his health at the moment “You need to eat and get your strength back up again” Leo explained as Donnie nodded and forced himself a bit to eat more of the food brought to him, Splinter came in just as Donnie finished two pieces and drank the water, his father examined him and then looked over the cuts on his wrists making him feel pain and guilt for not being able to help his son more then what he did at the moment, but Leo kept telling him he did all that he could and that was better than nothing at all making Splinter accept his sons words and leave it at that for now “I will make some tea” he decided and left his three oldest sons alone for now. When Mikey came back awake, Donnie was crying in Raph’s arms as Leo looked over the texts April sent him for three days before he tried to end his life, they felt bad for not seeing the signs of it but in the end Donnie was the best at hiding things like this without anyone knowing with his work and all, but they were still worried about him and his health so for the next few days Donnie was to go to each of his brother’s rooms for the night going first with Leo, then Raph and lastly Mikey and then they repeat the cycle as they did making Donnie unable to be alone for the night… or day as they made sure someone was with him at all times no matter what simply to be safe. There were times when Donnie would tremble in fear when his phone would ring making them understand it was the fear of it being April, they had blocked her number from his phone but he was still scared so they simply went to answer it first and once they tell him who it was he get’s the choice of answering or letting his brother do it, most of the time he didn’t answer due to the fear of April being there and once he answers she would take the phone and yell at him, it had happened once, Casey had called wanting to know how Donnie was doing, April was in the bathroom at the time so Donnie answered it was going well until she came out and heard Casey say his name making her take the phone and yell at him. It broke everything that the Hamato had done to help him once more. They had to start all over, watch over him in bed, take turns to watch him, keep him in shape and know that they were there if he wanted to talk to someone at all, it was hard on them but it was now law that if someone was to call Donnie, April couldn’t be there at all and in any way, it had to be done and April had no choice but to follow the law that was placed upon her, Casey, Karai and Shinigami were all angered at her for what she had done, she could have simply explained the reason behind she was leaving him in a kinder way!! But instead she yelled at him!!! Even Casey knows not to yell at him for how sensitive he was to it and all!!! Because of this they all ignored her when she needed them the most forcing her to leave early for her college, Karai would come over on the weekends to see how he was doing, Casey came over every night to make sure he was doing okay and Shinigami came over three times a week to be with them and to bring things over for him. For some reason, Donnie felt a bit better, sure he didn’t come out much from his lab or his room when he felt suffocated from time to time but he still felt good with how hard people were trying to help him at the moment with all of this happening to him right now, he didn’t know where he would be at the time it had all happened and after a quick test he realized he would have been dead long ago if no one tried to help him at all, it made his heart soar at how loved he felt from his friends and family from the very start… but what about his love life? Will he ever find someone to love again after all that happened to him after April? Of course, that wasn’t actually important to him right now, his brother’s wanted to help him get better and for now he had to make sure that happened right by allowing them to care for him, there were times in the night where he would wake up to get some water, they added there father to have his son to sleep for the night in the cycle by being after Mikey and when he would be about to leave the dojo he would hear his brother’s talking about what they should do with Donnie the next morning, he would listen for a bit before walking out as Leo would ask him if something was wrong and a simply look to the sink would make them understand he wanted some water. Raph would get it and Mikey would have him sit with them as he drank before going back to get some sleep, the next morning would be like it never even happened as he watched his brother’s help him and care for him while there father would speak with him for a bit, it felt nice to have family like he had at the moment and it made him wonder a bit about things in his life, he had spoken about it to there father but he simply told him not to focus too much on the subject and simply keep going with what he has at the moment in his life making him nod and then move to see one of his brother’s he had to hang out with next. Then April appeared… She didn’t call or anything, simply sent a letter to her dad that was addressed to Donnie, mister O’Neil brought it and Donnie immediately begged to Raph to burn it once he left the lair, Raph worried for Donnie and took the letter, got their father to watch him and messaged his brothers about the letter, none of them knew what to do… burn it like Donnie wanted? Read it? What should they do? “Let’s read it” Mikey said “We could read it, see what she wrote. And then burn it like Donnie wanted” he explained making them nod, Leo opened the letter and began reading slowly what April had to say to Donnie to make him want to burn it so much like this, then Mikey read it and lastly Raph. She was writing to Donnie about her college, they had rejected her and she blamed him for not helping her, so she ended up to one who couldn’t help her with her dream… but then she brought up a rich guy she meet and helped her get in his college only a few days in… she kept writing about how smart he is, how hot he was, how talented he is and spoke about the dates he took her on. She kept going like this before turning the letter to write insults about there brother on how the guy who helped was better then him and what Donnie was bad at, Raph growled at the fact that April took another piece of paper to write how sorry she was for the insults. The guy who she was dating had friends who there girlfriends were being bullied by her, so the guy told her that if she didn’t go talk to someone about her problems… he would dump her, April did it and was told that she should start by writing letters to the ones she hurt so far, but that to anyone who hurt her to write about the bad stuff, Raph hated the fact that she was blaming his little brother for all this… she then wrote at the end that she wishes for a reply from him since it would tell her how he felt, the others she bullied replied and Donnie was to do the same… but Donnie didn’t read the letter, he asked it to be burnt. But his brother’s read it and then burnt it like Donnie asked. Nothing came from her after that, when a week had passed Donnie began coming out once more, it made his siblings happy about it after all and no one brought up the letter, they simply went back to how things were before Donnie was dumped and were all now very happy with there lives at the moment with how things were. But that happiness didn’t last for very long…
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
It was like his heart was torn in two, a whole week before April and Donnie broke up… Karai had called him in the middle of the night… only to tell him that she was leaving him for Japan “They need me” she said simply as she dumped him and then left, the next morning she was gone without saying much of a goodbye, no one knew she had left Leo at all… everyone thought they were still together, he wanted to tell them the truth… but then she came back to visit for a bit and then came April dumping Donnie. Karai did leave once more, but when she heard about Donnie… she came back to help the best she could, it was natural but it was hard for Leo to see her after all she did to him, he was feeling so much pain after she up and left him without saying the reason, did she simply not love him anymore? Was it because he wasn’t there for her? He would never know, each time he asked she would be quiet for a while and when she talks to him she ignores the question fully, and that simply worries him once Donnie was better it was just him, his father, his brother’s and their lovers so he and Donnie were now single… but no one but him and Karai knew about it. There was a point where he was scared that he would be found out in the worse way, Mikey had come to his room as he was crying from the break-up with Karai and when his brother spoke about patrol… he was scared and he decided to try and hide it the best he could from Mikey and to his luck he never knew something was wrong, there was also the fact that they asked a few times how he and Karai were doing making him need to make up a few lies with the best lying he could do in hopes that they believed him and would leave him be “I just need to keep up a mask that makes them believe that everything is fine and that i’m happy” he told himself every morning.
But then came the day where the mask was broken.
It was a little bit after April sent the letter, everything was going well until the news came on… talking about a japanese model being officially taken as the show turned to pictures of the model with Karai on a date, his brother’s turned to him as he without thinking ran out of the lair as fast as he could just so he could get away from the hate because of his lies, he didn’t care if they found him at all… he simply wanted to run away from the hurt in there eyes for as long as he can for now and to be in silence for now “LEO!!!” he heard Donnie call out making him push harder to run away from them “Leo!!! Please come back!!!” Mikey begged as a tear ran down his face as he kept going “Leo!!! Talk to us man!! We can work it out!!!” Raph pleaded making Leo shake his head, claiming it to be a bunch of lies at the moment and simply kept running until he gasped as an old pipe that was cut to turn it into a sharp end harmed him as he fell down with a thud and a grunt. He knew they would find him, it was just a matter of time right now with the noise he had made all because a worker messed up his job and didn’t try to fix it while thinking no one would run around the sector at all, he slowly began to stand up… only his right leg stung from the injury he gained and his eyes widen at how rusty the pipe was making him know that it would be only a matter of time before he gains a horrible infection that a part of his leg would need to be cut off, but he had to keep going… he could hear his brother’s running over to his location as there calls became from whispers to faint yelling making him quickly push himself to stand even if his leg hurt and force himself to then run away from where he once laid. He couldn’t handle any of this, it was all too much for him right now and he almost thought about trying to do something for it to end “Ending myself might be good, it’s easy and it will only hurt for a moment” he thought as he then gasped from the sharp pain his injury sent all through his body all of a sudden, he fell to his knees and slowly used the sewer wall for support as he tried to catch his breath at the moment, he slowly felt his eyes begin to close on him and he knew that if he blacked out… his brother’s would find him and then get him back to the lair by force and he couldn’t have that happening… but he ended up passing out just as the lines of his brother’s figures came to his blurry view. When he came to, he saw the lab and he knew he was back home against his will, he blinked a few times before slowly sitting up even when his body protested on his actions, the fact that he was back at the lair when he simply wanted to get away from it all meant that he was having a hard time with life at the moment, he turned to the sound of steps as Donnie walked over to him “You always told me to talk about how I was feeling after what happened with me and April” he said making Leo look down “Now please tell me what’s happening” he demanded making Leo sigh as he spoke to him everything that happened from the day Karai called him to see him. Donnie didn’t speak the whole time, he only watched and listened to him, Leo began to cry when he arrived to when Donnie became depressed and needed there help to get back up and about at the moment, he did wonder what to do and what he could do to help him with “Well for now your on bed rest, you hurt your leg badly with that pipe and right now you need to rest” Donnie explained making Leo sigh and nod to the order as he knew that not doing what Donnie said would only bring to him his brother’s rage about his health at the moment “If you need anything then text me or Mikey but if you need to go somewhere then text Raph” Donnie explained making Leo nod as Raph entered the lab “Let’s go” he said and lifted Leo in his arms and carried him to his room in silence. “While you were out… April called, she wanted to know why Donnie didn’t reply to her letter and then called him selfish… it pushed him back to what he was before but he forced himself to be fine for you” Raph said once he placed his brother on the bed and then left the room to let his brother to rest for now… until he would need something or go somewhere, he couldn’t believe that April would do this now after all the hard work they had done to help Donnie and now he also was like him and needed help, but he couldn’t do anything to help Donnie like he couldn’t do anything to help him at the moment making him simply lay there and sleep for now. It took a whole week before Leo could walk on his own once more, he was babied the whole time but it was because they were worried about him and his health “It’s best if for now that you don’t walk too much, walk only when you need to go somewhere and not just to pass time or force yourself” Donnie said making Leo nod as he then got out of the lab and to the couch, looking to his leg he looked at how the injury now looked while when he first got it he was scared to see skin dying and the injury looking infected a bit at the time, but Donnie told him to simply rest and not touch it for now. There were times when Mikey would come see him and know if he needed something to eat and drink making Leo sometimes no while other times he would ask for some tea, Mikey was happy each time Leo asked but when he would say no Mikey look worried and nervous as he didn’t know what to say or do to him, he felt so bad for his brother but he knew that they were like this all because of him at the moment being injured and forced to rest at the moment, Raph would bring him a blanket or a pillow or really anything to keep him comfy at the moment as he does something or simply relaxes to watching TV on the couch making Raph sit close by just to make sure Leo wasn’t missing anything while there father would come see him at times so they could talk for a bit on anything and everything Leo wanted as a subject.
And then… there was Donnie…
He was mostly quiet, watching over Leo’s injury and making sure he was healthy and well, but Leo knew it was his way to hide the pain he was in because of April while he pushes himself to care for Leo from his break-up with Karai, he never thought about trying to talk to him about what happened or even tell anyone how the break-up happened and instead kept quiet from the very start, he slowly stood up and went towards the lab where Donnie would be at the moment “Hey Donnie?” he asked making his brother turn to look at him, he was slightly surprised at the fact that his brother was there at the moment, Leo slowly walked over to him and his desk making Donnie wonder what was wrong for Leo to be there at the moment to see him. “Hey Leo, did you need something? Is your injury hurting you?” Donnie asked, he wasn’t certain as to the reason for his brother coming to see him at the moment so he tried to ask about it to get some answers at the moment “Everything’s fine, I came here to ask you how you were right now with April calling here” he said making Donnie look down to his feet, in the end Leo found out about what happened once more and he didn’t know what to say about it “I’m okay, I’m just keeping myself focused on other things to not think about it for now” Donnie replied making Leo nod but he kept walking closer towards his brother “Are you sure? Do you want to talk about it?” Leo asked as Donnie looked at him “I’m fine, i’ll let you know if something’s wrong” Donnie explained making Leo nod and slowly walk out of the lab. Some time went on, Leo would go see Donnie to try and have him talk about April’s call so he knows what happened a bit more then what Raph had told him, but Donnie would tell him that he was fine and they all went to care for Leo’s heartbreak instead “Donnie and I are the ones who should be talking together to help” he said to Raph and Mikey making the two nod “But how? He won’t let you do that at all and only wants to focus on you” Mikey had said making Raph stare at the closed lab door at the moment, none of them knew very much what to do at the moment about this and all they could do was wait for there brother to come out and even then none of them knew when that would happen after all “Maybe get him to join us for dinner?” Raph suggested making his two brother’s turn to him. But it wasn’t so easy, Donnie simply wanted to stay in his lab… Leo ended up using the guilt card by faking that his injury was hurting badly to make him come out to watch over him, he was able to have him talk about different subjects they bounced on before Leo landed on April making Donnie accidently bring up the pain she brought to him as Leo was out “She was so harsh, she sounded like she was ready to come here to get what she wanted out of me… I just don’t think I can forgive her” he had said making Leo nod to him in understanding at the moment from all of this “Everything will be fine, as long as you and I remember that we have our friends and family by our side” Leo said making Donnie nod and hug his brother. After words, Donnie came out everyday at some point of his lab to be with his family, it made them all smile as he would always spend an hour with Leo and then go with him for an hour to see Splinter to talk about there pain and everything as then the two would separate and do something with there friends or there brother’s for a bit before Donnie goes back to his lab and Leo would rest on the couch for a bit until Raph goes over to him and carries him to bed in his room for the rest of the night as they haven’t gone to patrol for some time now with Leo being injured at the moment so they had no choice but to keep to the lair and the sewers (with Leo wearing bandages so to protect his injury from the sewer water) and then come back to get some sleep. There were times when the brother’s would join into the living room to sleep together as there way to bring comfort to one another, Splinter would ate times come out of the dojo and smile at the sight of his sons in such a position together as he placed a large blanket over them before going back to bed, when morning would come after those nights, they would wake up to there father cooking up breakfast for them since they would sleep in longer than usual of the other nights making them smile and thank there father as they ended up all together those days that come and never got alone somewhere to do something else. At one point, Karai came over to visit them, she was having a break from making peace with the Foot clan back in Japan (which Leo told his family and friends two days after he woke up) she wanted to see her father, friends and brother’s… but she was only greeted with glares at the moment she took a step in the lair “Shoulda stayed in Japan princess” Raph growled as Leo and Donnie were sleeping on the floor, the turtles had once more slept together in the living room and only Leo and Donnie were still sleeping, Mikey was helping there father with breakfast and Raph was watching TV on a low volume while watching over his two sleeping brother’s when she walked in. “I just wanted to come for a little visit. I missed everyone while I was in Japan and I wanted to see how you all were at the moment” she explained as Mikey came over and froze at the sight of his sister, moments later Splinter came over and he did something that none had seen before… he glared straight into Karai… his daughter’s soul in anger “You brought pain and horrible despair to my oldest son Miwa… I do not wish to see you here ever again” he claimed making Karai’s eyes widen before she began to shed tears before running into the sewers making them have no idea of where she went. When Leo and Donnie woke up a few minutes later, the family decided to keep the Karai visit from them at the moment so they don’t know that she came to cause pain to Leo, no one wanted him to suddenly shut them out from all of this at the moment so they kept quiet about it while doing the same to Donnie so that nothing would be said about it at all from anyone and while it did hurt them to keep quiet… it had to be done for Leo’s sake so that nothing bad happens once more, for the rest of the day things were quiet without anyone bringing up what happened earlier making things go well… until Donnie checked the security cameras and saw Karai come and leave the lair in a matter of minutes.
And he ended up telling Leo… which brought almost like a bomb down on him…
He kept quiet the whole day… looking almost with empty eyes towards a wall, it made them worry about Leo... until Donnie told them what happened “I saw Karai from the security cameras and I told him… I didn’t know this would happen” Donnie explained, Raph wanted to hit his brother… but that wouldn’t help them and it wasn’t his fault since he didn’t know this would happen to Leo if he had told him or anything “Let’s just try and get him back to normal” Raph said making Mikey and Donnie nod and get to work to help him come back as Leo simply watched the wall as if something good was going on with that wall that was better than anything else that the others were doing at the moment. It took them a few days before Leo began to speak to them once more, and a bit longer before he stopped looking at the wall and actually responded to everyone and even move around the lair once again, it was getting back to normal in the lair making things look better to all of them, Splinter was even happy for them for all of this happening as he would join them to help at times “I think I should be fine now” Leo had said at last making them all smile at the result as they all cheered and began to celebrate at the good news as they went to watch TV and eat popcorn and candy the whole time as Splinter turned in early for the night. “Let’s watch a horror movie now!!” Mikey claimed making them all groan “Mikey, we all know that when you watch scary movies you end up waking up from nightmares for weeks” Raph said as Leo sighed and Donnie looked into the box of movies, they all wanted to watch a different kind of movie (While ignoring Mikey’s demands of watching a horror movie) but they each countered the other movie choices with something (There the oldest, they can do something others can’t) making other’s need some time before countering the comment with something else until someone else did it later on. “Let’s just put the movie we each want to watch in a bag, will then take turns to pick one out and will go in that order… and no horror movies Mikey” Leo said as they turned to see Mikey about to pull out a horror movie before putting it back, they all placed a movie of each there choice in a bag and went from oldest to youngest (Leo picked Donnie’s movie, Raph picked Leo’s, Donnie picked Mikey’s and Mikey picked Raph’s) and then began watching each movie through the whole night before falling asleep on Mikey’s movie, Splinter had come out to stop the movie and place a blanket on them after cleaning the living room up from the food and drinks lying about. Everyone enjoyed this moment together, Donnie was now better after April’s phone call and Leo hasn’t cared much about Karai after he found out that she had come over for a short visit making them all enjoy this moment of joy… and I truly meant ‘moment’ for what will happen next… will destroy this time maybe for good, for what you will discover next… will ruin Mikey and Raph with one stone that Donnie and Leo will need to fix together as best they can after this happens.
But let’s start from a few days after Leo and Donnie got better shall we~?
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Shall we find out what happened to Raph and Mikey’s relationship after Leo and Don got better~?
For one thing, it won’t be a good story...
Mikey was running in the sewers, he had promised Leatherhead that he would visit him for the day with some pizza noodle soup, he ended up waking up late as he and his brothers were still sleeping together at night and Donnie had a slight panic attack making them wake up to watch over him for a bit... Leo helped him get up as Raph helped him with the soup before Mikey went to take a shower and then left with the soup and to get to his friend faster he had to take a shortcut... And his brothers never liked it when he would wonder around the sewers.
But now... he wished he didn’t go with the shortcut...
He ended up turning a corner to find Casey kissing his girlfriend Shinigami, he was shocked at the sight right before his eyes... and he felt like he was punched in the heart from seeing them in the sewers doing this, but for now... he would keep going to see his friend and pretend he didn’t see that just now, he’ll wait for her to tell him the truth about all of this, once he arrived to see Leatherhead he faked a smile and began to have a good time for his friend before going back to the lair while acting like he never saw the two together and he didn’t tell Raph... it was for the best to not tell him at the moment so he doesn’t get mad at him by claiming he was lying or anything. “Hey Mikey! Do you want to play a game? I just finished fixing those two controllers that were bugging out” Donnie said from the couch, Mikey looked around but didn’t see Leo or Raph “Where are...” He began “Leo and Raph, they went a bit earlier for a patrol, they said it would be quick so it’s fine” Donnie explained making Mikey nod and join him to play, they for a bit before Mikey fell asleep on his brother’s shoulder making Donnie stop the game and prepare the blankets for them to sleep in for the night once more, he knew Raph and Leo were out but the fact that they were still out there worried him to bits at the moment as he got a text from Leo... it made his eyes widen at what he was reading.
But how to... tell Mikey about what happened?
Mikey woke up by being held by Raph with Leo and Donnie not too far from them, he smiled at this as he sat up and walked towards the kitchen while being quiet as he went there to prepare breakfast for them at the moment “Good morning my son” he turned in surprise to see his father walking into the kitchen “Good morning father” he replied making his father smile and nod to him, the fact that he could still picture Shini kissing Casey from yesterday made him want to break down and cry at the moment... but he had to stay strong at the moment until Casey would admit to Raph that he kissed Shinigami “Would you like some breakfast?” Mikey then asked making his father sit down for a moment “I was here to speak with you, I sensed your spirit to be troubled” his father said making him turn to him in slight surprise. He slightly turned away, it was his best move so his father wouldn’t see his pained expression at the moment... he didn’t even want his brothers to see him like this “Did something happen my son?” Splinter then asked making Mikey sigh as he turned to face his father “Yesterday, I took a shortcut to get to Leatherhead a bit faster since I was late and I had promised him to be there on time... I took a turn and I found Shinigami and Casey... they were kissing” Mikey explained as his father sighed “I didn’t want anyone to know what I saw... especially Raph since he might claim I was making that up as a prank or something and with Leo and Donnie finally better and all” he continued as Splinter nodded. “You didn’t want them to hurt more than they were at the moment” he finished for his son, Mikey nodded to the answer and looked over to where his three big brothers were still sleeping at the moment on the floor like nothing was wrong at the moment, he turned back to look at his father “I just don’t know how to tell them the truth, I wanted to wait until Casey or Shinigami come out to tell us the truth at one point” Mikey said as he then looked down “You care for your brother’s enough that you don’t want to make them suffer by telling them yourself but the ones who are hiding the truth will” Splinter explained making Mikey nod “They should have come out before I saw them and they needed to hide the truth” Mikey then said making his father nod. It was a fact that Mikey didn’t want to be the one to bring bad news to Raph, he had always been the hardest on him to give bad news to his siblings... For he was scared of what would happen from giving them and their reaction, since then he has tried to keep away from giving them and simply wait for the news to be told by someone else for him “What should I do father? I’m scared to tell Raph and he gets mad at me claiming I’m making stuff up as a prank” Mikey said making his father close his eyes while wondering how he should help his son at the moment “The best I can words I can give you my son... it is to follow what your heart wishes to do” Splinter said as he stood up and walked away to get back to the dojo. Mikey sadly didn’t know what to do at the moment to help his brother to know the truth, Raph had to know but the problem was how to tell him that just as he was going to see Leatherhead by using a shortcut, he saw Casey kissing Shinigami?? He just didn’t know at all how to fix things up at the moment, all he could do now is wait and pray for Casey or Shinigami to tell Raph what they did in the end as he sighed and began to prepare breakfast for everyone to enjoy when they all wake up while making sure everything was ready for them “Oh, good morning Mikey” Mikey turned to see Leo walking over to the kitchen counter making Mikey just nod to his brother in greeting while getting back to work “Did something happen yesterday with Leatherhead?” Leo asked with a worried look on his face for his little brother at the moment. Mikey quickly turned towards his big brother, the question surprised him more than anything at the moment and he didn’t know how to respond to it at the moment as he looked down “I took a shortcut so I wouldn’t be so late... but on my way, there I saw something” Mikey explained making Leo move closer “What is it?” Leo asked as Mikey took in a deep breath “Casey and Shinigami were kissing! Well more like making-out from what I could tell” he admitted while looking away in hopes of things going better at the moment “Are you sure it was them?” Leo asked making Mikey nod “Casey was wearing the shirt Raph got him that he said got torn in the wash and Shinigami wore the perfume I got her” he said making Leo look at him in pain. “They... they kissed?” Mikey turned in shock to see his brother Raph standing there... he didn’t know what to do at all but run out of the lair quickly in hopes that with his speed he could get away from them as Raph now knew what he saw and he was sure that Raph didn’t believe him at all, he was scared of what would happen to him after he gets caught by Raph making him feel he only had one option left for him now as he stopped in a dead end tunnel “There’s only one choice left for me now” he mumbled as he turned back out of the tunnel as he could hear the faint sound of his brother’s coming closer to where he was at the moment “Only one choice left” he said once more in a faint whisper as a tear was shed. Donnie was looking around the sewers left and right for his baby brother... it was worrying him to death not knowing where his little brother could be now with what he was just told when he woke up to seeing Mikey running out of the lair, no one wanted to know what he was doing now... or even what he might do to himself “We need to move quickly!!” Leo ordered making the two nods as they split up... only to hear a scream as they followed to find him holding Mikey with his throat slit by his own weapon in hand “Get him to my lab!!” Donnie ordered making Raph quickly move with Leo and Donnie to get back to the lair and into the lab for Donnie to begin his work on saving their brother now from death. Days went by as Raph was on the couch waiting for Donnie to come out at last with news about Mikey, he looked up to the sound of steps as he saw Casey walking over to him... with a face filled with guilt, right after Mikey was in the lab with Donnie he had called Casey yelling about how if Mikey died it would be on him and Shinigami “Hey Raph” he said “Mikey saw you kissing his girlfriend” Raph said as Shinigami came into the lair with the same face as Casey “I just want someone in my life who I can actually start a family with” Casey explained “Mikey and I can’t even do the many things others can, so why stay with him when we can’t go out in the day or have a family together?” Shinigami asked making Raph glare at them as Leo walked over to them “It’s best if the two of you leave, Shinigami you can send a letter to us for Mikey but that’s your only way to speak with him one last time” Leo explained making the two nod and then leave the lair. Once they were gone, Donnie had come out of the lab with a face filled with relief “He’s going to be fine now. To our luck he didn’t hit anything dangerous that could kill him so he should be fine” Donnie explained making them nod in relief in return, they all entered the lab to see Mikey sleeping at the moment almost as if nothing was wrong in the world “We all need each other now” Raph mumbled making Donnie nod as Leo sighed, they took turns watching over there little brother day and night, night and day without leaving his side in case he would wake up while they were gone this meant none of them went on patrol at the moment until he was up and maybe even better from all this. Mikey woke up a month later, Raph was at his side at the time so he was relieved to see his little brother awake at the time when he was there... he had so much to tell him, at first his baby brother was looking around the room to see where he was. His eyes landed on Raph and his brother feared how Mikey would react to him being there at that moment when he was waking up... but nothing happened making Raph sigh in relief “Hey little brother” he whispered as Mikey began to slowly cry in silence making Raph take hold of him and held him in his arms as his way to give comfort to his little brother “It’s going to be alright now little brother, nothing bad will happen to you” he continued to say as Mikey cried but nodded. When Leo and Donnie came over, they were surprised at the sight of Mikey at last awake making them both smile at the sight of Raph holding his little brother in his arms as the two slept, together Donnie and Leo carried Raph with Mikey in his arms into the living room where the two joined them to sleep in their little nest for now so that when Mikey would wake up he would see his brothers were there for him right now more than ever before now. They also knew that Raph would need them, but he wanted to care for Mikey now and that was all that mattered to them for now “Do you think... Mikey will be better soon?” Donnie asked as Leo turned to look at him in wonder to an answer to that question “I’m not sure Donnie, but I know that Mikey will need us to get better” Leo said making Donnie before he went to sleep making Leo soon follow him. It took a few days before Mikey was able to keep awake and move around without his brothers needing to be at his side and one going to get what he needs to eat, drink, wash or let him do his business which in a way made Mikey feel embarrassed at the fact that he needed them for those simple tasks, but then it was worth the wait because then he was able to do everything on his own without them helping him around once... but then there was the fact that Raph was looking more worried then Donnie and Leo were “Hey Mikey, do you think we can talk?” He asked making Mikey nod and follow him to Raph’s room while confused of why he was inviting him to his room, Raph was the first to sit down on the bed, Mikey followed him after seeing Raph nod to him as permission to sit down with him. “I know it’s hard on you right now with all of this happening” Raph began making Mikey nod in understanding... it was normal to tell something like that to Mikey so he understood the reason behind it so he simply nodded to his brother to let him know that he understood “I just wanted to say that I was sorry” Raph spoke making Mikey turn to him confused but he didn’t say a word at the moment “I should have told you sooner but... Casey came over while you were being treated” Raph explained as Mikey began to tremble in fear of what he would say “He and Shinigami have been together for the last three months behind our back and they no longer wanted to be with us because we can’t give them a family” Raph said making Mikey look down in shame to what he couldn’t give to Shinigami in the end. A piece of paper was placed on Mikey’s lap “She left this for you, said that had all you needed to know on why she did all this” he then said as Mikey nodded and then walked out of the room with it to go to his own room, he didn’t read it at first... only after dinner when the others went to bed did he read it. Simple enough Shinigami was telling Mikey she was sorry for her actions, she had been with April, Casey and Miwa/Karai playing truth or dare when April dared her to kiss Casey, this made her like him and they began seeing each other when they could without the others knowing about it. Sometimes they would need to make sure to hide their scent from him and his brother’s with stuff they had by claiming they lost it like the perfume he got her or even ruined like the shirt Raph got Casey. There was a time when she wanted to end it all, sadly Casey was too into this whole thing to stop it now making her continue with him. She didn’t know he would be there in the sewer, she knew he was going to see Leatherhead but she didn’t know he would have gone the way she and Casey were in to get there, this made her keep quiet to Casey until Raph yelled about it to him which Casey then demanded answer from her... she told him what she knew and he was pissed at her but... he knew she did because she didn’t want him to panic so he accepted her reason later on making them then finish it off with Raph and Mikey, Mikey cried himself to sleep with the paper clenched hard in hand as he cried... Raph saw him there and simply pulled the covers on him and then left the room... he knew it would take time for Mikey to get over it all.
But time just... wasn’t on there side with Mikey’s mind...
It was sudden, Mikey was acting quiet at the moment while watching some TV like nothing was wrong, he was talking about his problems with there father and had an hour with each of his brothers every day... he said he was going to take a bath which his brothers agreed on since he hadn’t washed himself in a while... hours went by and he had yet to come out and his brothers grew worried for him as they went to the bathroom to see it was locked “Mikey!!” Donnie yelled making Raph barge in to see Mikey pale as his left arm was in the tub... with the water red from his blood “GET HIM OUT OF THERE!!!” Donnie yelled making Raph quickly carry his brother to the lab as Leo began cleaning it up the room. Donnie went to his lab to clean up Mikey’s cuts and then wrap them up so they don’t get infected, they were all worried for him since he simply went to cut himself and try to end his life once more and they didn’t know why yet since Mikey had yet to speak, since he woke up and they were all worried with what was going on in his mind and none of them but Splinter could go in there to figure it out as he refuses to do so “We must wait for him to open up to us about his reasons for his actions” he had said making Leo sigh as they then went to take turns to watch over Mikey with it being Leo this time to be there when Mikey woke up “How are you little brother?” he asked as Mikey looked at him. Mikey just shrugged his shoulders as his answer making Leo smile at him softly before asking “Why Mikey? Why are you trying to kill yourself?” he asked with his voice breaking at the mental image of Mikey after trying to end his life somewhere alone without the others knowing until they were too late “I just... I just didn’t want Raph to yell at me that I was lying” Mikey sobbed out in pain of the thought his brother making that claim about him, Leo grabbed and gently held him in a hug as Mikey cried in sorrow to the thought as Leo gently rocked him back and forth to calm him down before he slowly carried him to his room where Donnie was waiting on Leo’s bed. “Lay him here so I can look him over” Donnie said making him nod and do as asked while Mikey trembled in fear of Raph coming in to hit him at some point... he still thought that the time Raph invited him to his room was simply to make him think he was safe until he would get back at him later on, a gentle knock came from the door as Raph then came in making Mikey squeak in fear as Donnie tried to calm him down as best he could while Leo brought Raph out of the room “He thinks your mad at him because you think he’s lying about what he saw” Leo said making Raph groan in pain of how Mikey was feeling at the moment about all of this “How do I fix all of this?” he mumbled as Leo thought for a moment “Write him a letter? Tell him about all of this and how you actually feel about him” Leo suggested making Raph nod and go to his room to get started on the letter. It took a few days before Mikey was calm enough to be around Raph... only problem was that even then he couldn’t handle talking to him as he ends up running away to another room or to one of his brothers, it makes Raph worry if he’ll ever have the old bond he once had with Mikey again after all of this, the only thing he could do now was give him his letter, Mikey had gone to his room for the night, he really wanted to be alone at the moment since his room was the only place left for that now so it was his only choice to be there after this, he saw the letter on his bed making him wonder who it was from as he then opened it to his shock to seeing Raph’s handwriting there in the letter telling him everything that he thought, felt and wanted to tell him this whole time. The thought of it all being his fault because of his anger made him wonder what he had become all this time because of it, all he wanted was to fix things with Mikey... but the fear of being called a liar or even getting punched made him pull away from Raph, he was writing to Mikey that he was sorry about all the pain and trouble he had caused to his little brother and he hopes that one day... he would forgive him for it all, Mikey was crying by the end of the letter without knowing what he should about it, the thought of seeing Raph and telling him how he felt was one choice but he still wasn’t sure about how things would end for him so he simply curled up in bed with the hopes that things would then go well for him in the morning.
So then... the healing began...
Mikey began talking to his brothers about his feelings everyday after the incident, he didn’t leave anything out since he wasn’t allowed to in case he would bottle something up and end up trying to kill himself again, he also wasn’t allowed to sleep alone anymore in fear of him trying to also end his life in there so everynight one of his brothers would be with him in bed for the night and be out by morning, he didn’t mind at all though... it was nice to have someone close be with him for the night as he enjoyed the warmth from it being given to him by the ones who love him... and yet... his heart felt empty... and he didn’t why it felt like that for now... was that how his brother’s were feeling right now? there heart with an emptiness that they don’t know how to fill at all right now? Maybe... it was because they were now single? Since they were all dumped in a way maybe they felt there heart being slightly empty because of that? It would make sense but then he wondered how it could be fixed... maybe if they tried hard enough they would meet someone who could fill out that very part of each of their hearts that was empty? He could only hope for that as in the morning he at last began talking more to Raph about how he was feeling which later on the brothers understood they all felt the same thing at the moment which made them then wonder what they should do to instead move on... but Mikey could only conclude that he needed to fix his brothers from the empty part of their heart.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Raph had always thought that the stronger and tougher he was then the harder it would be for any emotional pain to break him… he was so wrong about that, when he began dating Casey he felt that it was easy to handle since they meet up at night for their usual run and he was there with what happened to Leo and Donnie… but he just felt betrayed by him for dating Shinigami in secret and it made him wonder if he really was gay. Sure, they hung out together… but they never kissed or even did anything sexual… he actually never had his first anything taken by Casey so he wondered if he really was gay or if it just was a phase for his life and all.He was looking around his room, wondering what he had that connected to his sexuality choice, it had been three years since they were all dumped and Raph wondered about his relationship with Casey, he really wanted answers so he thought his room would help him out with that problem… he just wasn’t all that lucky with his answer to that question as he ended up with nothing, nothing told him that he was gay making him then begin to wonder if he ever truly was into men in the first place… was it because Casey hung out with him? He was friends with Mona-Lisa, but she is a warrior who fights for her planet so it’s rare now for her to come and visit him on earth… now that he thought about it, could it be that Casey thought… he had no other sexual options but to be with him? The thought of that sickened him to the very core from that very thought that passed through his mind just now.“Raph? Are you alright?” Leo asked making him turn towards his brother, so far even after Karai left him for Japan Leo still kept his focus on his brother’s to help them all get better from the pain they had all gone through so far, it made him feel guilty to what was going on his brother’s mind at the very moment for focusing on other’s then himself and the pain he might still be feeling right now “Yeah… just… seeing that I… was never really gay” he admitted making Leo look at him confused yet shocked at the news “What do you mean by that Raph?” his brother asked, Leo slowly walked into the room in hopes of being there for him as they sat down on his bed “I thought that looking around my room… would show me something to prove I’m gay… but really I wasn’t gay… I’m just the result of Casey messing with me and my emotions” Raph explained as Leo looked at him “I don’t know what to tell you… but I’m there for you so whenever you want to talk i’ll always be there for you and I’m going to make sure of that” Leo claimed, it for some reason made Raph smile and nod to his brother.“Get some sleep, we still much to do tomorrow” Leo then set as he gently set a hand on Raph’s shoulder and stood up, once out of the room Raph looked down to the floor while thinking about all of this… he hoped for the best from all this but he then smiled since he knew that he wasn’t alone since he had his brother’s to help him along the way making him then move to lay down in bed and get some shut eye that he so well needed right now from everything, he had to help Donnie for he accidentally saw a picture of April that he hadn’t gotten rid of making him cry from the pain, Leo was watching TV when the news brought something about Japan and Mikey had found something he had from Shinigami which also had her scent on it making Raph hold him close for an hour so he was pretty drained in the end from it all “I’m pretty sure it will get better tomorrow” he mumbled to himself as he closed his eyes and drifted to sleep for the rest of the night as they didn’t have any patrol for a while.Morning came and Raph woke up to Mikey sleeping beside him making him think it was due to a bad dream, Mikey slowly opened his eyes to see Raph watching him “Morning Raph, I’m just here because of a nightmare” he explained making Raph simply smile and nod as he pulled his brother close to him as they went back to sleep for a quick nap, they woke up about an hour later from the sound of Donnie calling them to wake up and come down to eat breakfast making Raph sit up as Mikey got out of the bed, and went to the bathroom to take a shower as Raph then got to the kitchen where his two other brothers were with Donnie drinking his coffee while reading the news paper and Leo drinking his tea until he stopped and noticed Raph making him smile “Had a nice night Raph?” his brother asked as Donnie looked at the two of them while being confused about what was going on.“Did I miss something? What are you two talking about?” he asked making Leo turn to him and explain how Raph understood that he was never gay in the first place, Donnie kept quiet the whole time and listened to his brother as Mikey came in and began to listen to the whole explanation that Leo had to offer them “So, Raph was never really gay?” Donnie asked making Raph nod and sighed “I think… the only reason Casey did all of this was because… he thought he was my only option in a relationship” Raph explained making there eyes widen at what he just said, if Casey did that… this meant Casey was with him only because he was forced to be with Raph so he would be happy and not single “Let’s eat and then get to training” Leo said making them all nod as they went to eat breakfast.No one spoke after that… instead they focused on there day with breakfast, training, shower and then a few hours doing there own thing before lunch and then more training, shower, patrol then shower before dinner then a bit of free time before turning in, but they were still worried about Raph and how he was doing from all this with Donnie always looking outside his lab to see what his brother was doing, Leo would walk around the lair to look for him so he knows what he’s doing while Mikey would try to keep close to him and do his best to keep there brother distracted for as long as he could at all “Hey Raph, how about we spar a bit?” Leo suggested making Raph look over his shoulder to where his brother was.They got into the dojo and the two got into position to spar, Leo hoped that this would get Raph to open up about the whole situation… yet he knew it was a long shot to work at all “How do you feel?” he began as he blocked a punch, Raph looked at him a bit confused on the question but still answered “About what?” he responded making Leo need to think about it for a moment “Casey cheating on you. How do you feel?” he specified this time… Raph froze when he was about to kick Leo making his brother look at him confused, when he saw the look on Raph’s face was strange and neutral he thought it was fine until Raph kicked him as he resumed the spar “Nothing” he said making Leo’s eyes widen as he watched his brother fall to his knees “I just… can’t feel anything” he explained making Leo worry as he called for Donnie to help as Raph kept repeating how he couldn’t feel anything.Raph had blacked out at one point as they were taking him to his room… making them need to carry him to the lab so Donnie could figure out what was going on with him to be like this, it stressed all of them and with there father travelling now that he was a human they couldn’t contact him until he called them first so they know he could be called and the last time was about three weeks ago, Donnie explained that he needed to be alone for a but to figure out what was wrong with Raph, Mikey went to the kitchen to make some soup while Leo got to work on meditation and clean up the dojo so to keep is mind off of what just happened to his brother and the fact he claimed he couldn’t feel anything making him wonder if Casey made him shut his emotions all of a sudden after Raph found out the truth.Raph woke up the next day, he was a bit confused on why he was on a cot in the lab but not seconds later he figured out what happened making him quickly sit up as Donnie stopped him so he could lay back down “You need to rest for now so please don’t force yourself” he pleaded making his brother nod and lay back down as requested and went back to sleep for a bit until Mikey came in with a tray of food and something to drink, when he saw his brother sleeping he had to turn to Donnie who told him that there brother did wake up not long ago but he went back to sleep as to his request, Leo went towards the kitchen when Mikey came out and told him about how Raph had woken up not long ago but had gone back to sleep upon Donnie’s request making Leo sigh in relief to the good news about there brother and his condition.When Raph woke up about an hour later, it was to hunger making him turn to see Mikey walking over with a new tray with food making him look at his brother and force a smile on his face form “You don’t feel anything? Not even happiness?” Mikey asked and this made Raph look down in shame “Yeah… sorry” was his only reply and Mikey could tell that it was because his brother forced a smile on his face to make Mikey think he was happy for his company and the food… but he couldn’t feel that so he forced himself to react to it… maybe since it began “It’s all my fault” Mikey whispered and this was what Raph wanted to avoid the most… his baby brother blaming himself for the fact that Raph couldn’t feel anything ever since Mikey spoke about Casey and Shinigami secretly dating behind there backs, Raph sighed and slowly wrapped his arms around his little brother “It isn’t… I always had a problem expressing myself so one day I just… shut them up and now I can’t show them so I pretend” Raph explained making Mikey look at him in slight shock.“We can help” Raph and Mikey turned to see Donnie and Leo walking in “Just let us help you and soon you will be able to express yourself with your feelings” Leo explained making Raph nod in understanding to this, a few hours later Raph was allowed to leave the lab making his brother’s then get him to the couch to talk and even watch movies so to try and have open his emotions at some point as he hopes that he could bring out his emotions too… he just hates being unable to feel something once more as he did his best during the movies to feel something at some scenes… but there was nothing happening the whole time making him worry that he may never feel something again until he turned to the touch of a hand on his shoulder from Leo making him smile and for the first time he meant the smile which made him have some progress done so far.As the days passed on it was understood that Raph may not make more progress then the one smile he made to Leo, it made them worry that it might get worse if they can’t figure something out soon or he might get worse with his personality by not get angry or even wanting to do much of training or patrols “Maybe an actual patrol would help him get some feelings in him to come out” Donnie suggested scientifically as he looked at Leo and Mikey, Raph on the other hand was on the couch watching some random show that was on TV at the moment as his brother’s were talking in private about his condition… he knew they were trying to help him but at the same time he hated himself for feeling like it was all his fault from all this happening to them.“Would it work?” Mikey asked making Leo look over to where Raph was with worry that it doesn’t work “Will need to hope he does feel something from the patrol or we might need to work with medication and therapy” Donnie said with a sad face as he hated this final choice of solution for there brother, they didn’t want things to end like that for any of them “For now we should all get some rest, we can go on a patrol in a few days once were all well rested and we get back to our training like usual as with everything that happened… we all lost track of it” Leo explained making his two little brother’s nod to the plan, Mikey went to the kitchen to work on lunch… Donnie went to the couch to tell Raph of what was going on while Leo went to the dojo to meditate a bit in hopes that it would help him clear his head from all this happening to them.“Do you think I’ll get better?” he opened his eyes to see Raph peeking into the dojo, Leo wished he could to their father about this right now… but he left for Japan to see an old friend and wasn’t reachable at the moment from the fact that there was no phone reception where he went, Leo slowly stood up and walked towards his brother to set a gentle hand on his left shoulder “Trust in yourself like how you trust us and you will get better” he said simply as it was the best he could say for now to his brother without making him think he would never get better and maybe get worse on his condition “Alright, so what has been planned?” Raph asked making Leo smile “Were thinking of a patrol, by doing that it might help bring back one of your emotions to surface” Leo explained which made Raph’s eyes shine with hope.“I guess that’s alright… I mean it could help a bunch to feel something again” Raph mumbled as he slowly began looking down making his big brother understand that Raphael wasn’t all that 100% certain that this idea would actually work for him, Donnie on the other hand was searching online as hard as he could to figure out a therapy that would help Raph get his emotions once more… but he was scared of the results he would find there more then anything, he had gone to a medical question website where people can write a question of side-effects from medication or something being wrong with there health… he had posted a question about how Raph was unable now to show any true emotions and he hoped a doctor or two would answer him with a solution.But he had no such luck at all right now… since no doctor has yet to respond to him…He sighed at this, he even hoped that anyone who has seen this knew what to do in order for Raph to get better, just one person! Just one to respond! It’s he want’s right now and nothing more!! His computer then beeped! He looked and saw two had responded to him at last!! A doctor and someone, the doctor explained that sometimes people did it to protect themselves and to focus more on other things that are important or to keep away from the danger… but that once it was over they sometimes continue without thinking and that the best way to help is for them to point to a card with words that represent an emotion that is best suited to the pain the feel somewhere.But that it takes a very long time before they can get better at all…He then turned to the other person who responded to his question and there answer surprised him, it said to take Raph to places he would have strong feelings for, joy, anger, sadness, fear and so on until he can actually show those emotions without needing to go to the place he felt a certain emotion at, the person explained that they too had someone with the same problem but that taking them to places where a certain emotion was strong at really helped them to get better making Donnie make a list of locations Raph goes to for certain emotions and made sure to prepare for taking Raph to them at some point… he just really hoped one of these two solutions help Raph get better.Mikey was in the kitchen cooking the meals Raph had when he was angry, happy, sad, scared… pretty much every food that Raph had for a certain feeling, he hoped that this might help Raph in a way to feel at least something once more because he wanted more then anything to have Raph feel once more, Leo walked over to the kitchen with Raph making him smile “Hey Raph! I just made some foods you eat more at times when you feel something either positive or even negative!” Mikey explained making Leo turned to Raph who looked at all of the food on the table for him to eat, he nodded to Mikey as he slowly went to a random food.The cinnamon roll made him smile as Mikey and Leo wondered if that meant that Raph was feeling joy right now “Well? Feel anything Raph?” Leo asked as their brother set the sweet down on the plate “I… actually smiled on my own… I didn’t force myself” Raph said as he smiled once more… and it was a real smile making Mikey cheer of joy as Leo did the same making Donnie come over while wondering what was going on “Raph actually felt happy… he ate Mikey’s cinnamon roll and he smiled for real” Leo explained making Donnie smiled in shock at the good news that was just given to him as he crossed the happiness locations from the list “We need to celebrate this now, Mikey did you make more?” Donnie asked as Mikey nodded and brought a plate over with cinnamon rolls on it.They each took one with the one Raph already started as they celebrated the good news “Wonder what emotion I’ll get back on patrol” Raph mumbled making Leo, Mikey and Donnie smile at how happy and positive Raph was at the moment “That’s right Raph. On patrol we should be able to figure out something and be able to have you feel something” Leo said making Raph smile and nod at this as he thought about this as they ate the cinnamon rolls, Mikey put the rest of the food away for another time as they then got ready for training and then they would all need to go to bed… Leo just wasn’t sure when they should go on the patrol right now, guess he just needs to wait and see when they would be truly needed up on the surface to protect the people of New York city.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
When came the time to go on patrol, Leo watched as his brothers got ready just like he was doing, he didn’t know what to do to help them… he really wanted them to be happy again but in order to that… he would to figure out what they need in the first place, he did wonder if he could help them find someone to love… but he wasn’t all that sure if he would be of help in that subject with everything that happened to him at all but with a sigh he decided to simply figure something out as they went on their patrol. He thought about having made up a mission for each of them to go outside to the surface… but when they would come back they wouldn’t understand why he lied to them, maybe he could go on one of those dating website and make for each of his brother’s a profile while writing everything he knew about them and hope for a girl in New York to like them, but then he would need to have them meet and who knew if the girl would freak out or not on how they looked, this made him sigh as he had no idea of how to fix any of this problem of love… but time could only give him the answer he seeks. He looked at each of them: Donnie was completely destroyed because of April, a girl who he believed to be perfect… and instead insulted him and made him feel bad about himself as he could no longer think for himself without someone needing to help him remember who he is and the many things he can and has done for the Hamato family all these years, Raph was from he could tell doing his best over all of this, after he discovered he was never gay to begin with and Raph could no longer show a single feeling they all tried there best to help him as best they could to make him feel again as they make sure to give him there support and then… Mikey was having a harder time with what happened, Shinigami cheated on him with Casey who was with Raph… and she kept going while she was with Mikey for so long… they knew it would be hard for him to get better from it all but they had to try there best to keep his spirit up so he could smile once more like he had always done before now. Another sigh came from him as he looked away and then at his reflection from the blades of his katana, even he had problems, ever since Karai dumped him simply for her to take care of the Foot clan over in Japan and she then went and focused herself there instead of her family that was in New York, and now he didn’t know what else do to but hide his true feelings from all this deep into the darkness of his heart where everyone would be safe from him and anything else he might do if anyone were to figure out his true actions after all he did to keep it sealed within him “It’s to protect them, to keep them safe from any kind of danger I might put them through because of the secret I have kept from them” he whispered to himself as he closed his eyes to calm himself down.
He just hopes that what he’s doing will help them get all better or at least… make them smile and have everything go back to before they had a lover.
“Let’s go guys, were loosing darkness of the night the longer we take here to get ready” he claimed making his brother’s nod and then begin to move for the patrol to start, if this was to work… he had to plan this right and for that to work “Were going to be splitting up, Raph you go north, Donnie go west, Mikey take south while I take east… we meet here in an hour to report and go home to rest” Leo decided and with a nod they moved towards there direction to patrol and he hoped… and prayed that one of his brother’s at last find some joy once more from the time being sad and alone.
And first came Michelangelo to regain his lost smile…
Michelangelo didn’t truly want to be on a patrol for now, he actually wanted to go to his room and sulk on his bed about his heartbreak right now… he hated what Shinigami, the woman who he thought loved him had done to him for gave her his heart and she crushed in her hands without caring about his feelings for a second, he was thinking of calling Leo to tell him he wasn’t feeling all that well… it would mean having Donnie look him over and find out he was lying but still! It was better to be yelled at then to stay even a bit longer outside to patrol anytime right now “Why couldn’t I have been sick tonight?” he asked himself as he sighed and kept moving.
And then… he saw a person who made his heart skip a beat… and he wondered how that was possible after what happened with Shinigami…
She was walking to a location unknown to him, but she was graceful in each step she took as she kept her head high and with a smile without caring if there was bad people in a nearby alley… he watched and slowly followed her movements and made sure there was no one near that would attack her as she goes to her destination, he hoped she was going home but it was uncertain that it would happen like he hoped… but then walking towards her were three drunk men laughing and smiling until one of them noticed her making them stop so she would do the same “Um… excuse me” she said and tried to walk pass them but the one in the middle grabbed her to keep her there “Watcha gonna do about it?” he asked in a slurred voice making her look at him. Mikey believed she would scream in fear or try to call out for help… but she did none of those things. It was like they were nothing to her and she had no reason to fear them at all… yet there were high chances that they would rape her and then leave her for dead after there done with there deed. He had to do something before this got any worse… but then he saw how the girl didn’t move when the middle guy tried to pull her into the alley that was close to them right now, she just didn’t want to follow and simply kept herself in place for where she actually wanted to go and Mikey was just getting ready to jump in to protect her and fight the trio who were trying to get there way with her, but the girl kept herself still while not allowing them to move her where they wanted her to be so when he saw one pull out a gun… he moved to save her. She was so shocked at the sight of a giant turtle fighting those three drunk men for her safety, she wasn’t all that sure if she should scream and run or simply stay there and watch him… by the time she decided to stay there the fight was over and Mikey turned to the girl to see how she was doing from all of this and was shocked at the way she looked, long orange hair, bright lavender eyes, slightly tanned skin… she was just beautiful… like a gem like none other “A-are you alright?” the girl asked making Mikey blink a few times before remembering how to speak “Yeah… yeah I’m fine, they were nothing I couldn’t handle” Mikey replied making the girl nod in understanding before looking around for a moment like she was trying to think of something “Would you like to come to my place? You know to make sure I get home safely?” the girl suggested making Mikey nod as she smiled with a bright smile making him get to the roof tops to follow her from there just to be safe. When she arrived to her place, she pointed to a window making Mikey understand that she lives where that window was making move towards it, when she walked inside and turned the lights on, she moved towards the window and opened it to let him inside “Would you like something to drink?” she asked making him slowly nod as she walked towards the kitchen “What’s your name? I don’t think I asked you” the girl said as she peeked out of the kitchen “Michelangelo, but my brother’s also call me Mikey” he said making her nod “I’m Rosalina” she replied “But you can also call me Rosa” she added making him nod “Do you prefer something to drink?” she asked making him blink a few times “I like hot chocolate” he said making her nod and got to work on it. Mikey looked around a moment as Rosa worked “You can sit down if you want. Anywhere is fine” she said making him nod as he moved towards the couch and sat on it while he listened to the faint humming of Rosalina of a song he didn’t know “What’s that song your humming?” he asked making her stop to look at him “Oh! It’s Bilionera by Otilia” she replied making him nod as she went back to making the hot chocolate, not long after she walked over with two mugs making him take one with a smile towards her for the kind gesture, Rosa then moved to a chair not far from Mikey and sat on it as Mikey looked around “Where are your parents?” he asked making her look down “They were killed when I was two” she answered making Mikey feel bad for making her tell him like that “What happened?” he asked while not trying to force her to speak. “It’s nothing to worry about” she said and stood up to take the two empty mugs and bring them to the sink to clean them later on “What were you doing before saving me anyway?” she asked making Mikey then remember the patrol, he quickly took out his phone and saw zero messages or call from his brother’s making him understand that they were too busy to notice he wasn’t doing the patrol “I actually should get going” he said making Rosa nod “Hang on!” she requested as she went to take a pen and paper and began writing something on it “This is my number and my address. If you ever want to talk or see me you know what to do” she said as she handed to him the paper making Mikey nod as he then left for the rooftops to get going on his patrol of the night. He arrived just five minutes to spare, Mikey didn’t really know what else to do as he waits for his brother’s… but for now he could add Rosa to his contacts and a few of her info’s as he waits, he got to work by looking back and forth from the paper to his phone while also looking at the time and around him to see if his brother’s were coming around… when he was done Donnie had come over to his side “Things went well?” his brother asked making Mikey nod “Just had to take care of three drunk guys trying to go after a girl” he said making Donnie nod “Did she see you?” Donnie asked as Mikey decided to lie “She was scared and had covered her eyes when I went in and by the time, I was back on the roof she had them still covered before she saw what happened and ran to where she was going” he lied making Donnie nod. Ten minutes later and Raph arrived with Leo two minutes behind him “Let’s get back home” he said making them nod and follow him to the sewers and to the lair “Let’s get cleaned up and then get some sleep, we had a long night” Leo claimed making them nod “I say Mikey goes first since he was at the meeting point when I arrived” Donnie claimed making Leo look at his little brother and nod while Raph patted Mikey on the shell making him smile as thanks, once in the lair Mikey went straight for the bathroom to take a quick shower so to not make his brother’s wait long for there turn, fifteen minutes later he was out and walking towards his room as Donnie took his turn for a shower, he noticed Raph at the couch and from his guess Leo was in the dojo speaking to there father about the patrol, Donnie must have told Leo the lie he told Donnie while he was in the shower but that was fine to him. He then thought back to Rosa and she looked when he asked about her parents, it was like she was hiding something from him… it made him worry about her all of a sudden and he wondered why after what he went through because of Shinigami, he felt his heart ache at that moment of just thinking about her and he shakes his head to try and forget about her as he turned to his sketch book and decided to draw something for now… and he ended up drawing Rosalina there instead of anything else, it shocked him and he didn’t want anyone to see it and know that something else happened during his path of patrol so he decided to try and draw other things so he could put it away and take a new one and start drawing in it next without his brother’s wanting to look at what he was drawing… and it slightly helped since he was only drawing Rosa in different ways like her training, fighting the purple dragon’s cooking, reading and it filled out the sketch book quickly that he was able to put it away and take up a new one and began to draw other than Rosalina. Wondering what to do next in his room without having his brother’s come into his room to see how he was doing… it was going to be next to impossible with the way he is and all, and then his mind wondered towards Rosa once more… he couldn’t think about her with everything that happened to him, he just didn’t want to get his heart broken once again so being in another relationship wasn’t going to happen so it was best to forget about her so he could keep himself safe from the heartache she might cause him “It’s for the best” he whispered to himself as he nods as if it was someone else who told him so and he was agreeing to it, he wanted nothing more then to be at peace for now until it was all over… and his life ended. He began to feel tired and thought of first going to the kitchen to eat something and then get to bed for the night, he left his room and went into the kitchen and towards the fridge to prepare something for himself and his brother’s if there hungry later on, when he noticed some chicken he decided to make a pasta dish with it for now making him pull out what he needed and then got to work with everything… while thinking of Rosa, he was getting tired of thinking of her when he does something, it was tiring him to no end right now and he just wanted it to stop and go on with his life like nothing happened, he tried to think of something else but Rosa but it only ended up with him going back to her in his mind… and he didn’t know what to do about it right now, but for now it’s wasn’t his problem, now he had to make something to eat and then get some sleep. “Is everything alright Mikey? You look unfocused all of a sudden” the sound of Leo’s voice made him slightly jump before turning to his brother and blinking a few times while trying to remember his brother’s question “Yeah, I’m fine Leo just thinking about patrol tonight” he lied making his brother nod and sit down at the dinning table as Mikey turned back to his work, he really didn’t want things to continue on about the patrol right now because he was certain… that Rosa will be brought up by him and then Leo would understand that Mikey lied to Donnie to keep her away from them… from being able to break him again “Yeah about that… why did you lie to Donnie?” this made him for a moment freeze before getting back to his work “What do you mean by that?” he asked back making Leo sigh “Donnie felt that you lied the moment you claimed the girl didn’t see you… but she did didn’t she?” he asked making Mikey feel his walls caving in on him. “Mikey, we care about you… but why lie about what happened?” Leo insisted as Mikey began to slightly tremble from the fears, he had this whole time of someone finding out about his secret, he wanted to get away from Leo now and to hide in his room until they leave him alone about the lie, he let out to them “Mikey what is going on?” Leo asked as his brother then noticed his shaking shoulders and the faint sobs he was letting out, Leo slowly walked over to his brother while making sure that the other two weren’t near them “What happened Mikey?” he asked softly “I didn’t want… to feel my heart… break again” he said quietly making Leo hug his brother while making sense of Mikey’s words, he was cheated on with someone else… he simply didn’t want to have it happen again or get dumped all out of the blue.
But he still liked her badly…
“Mikey, try talking to her… maybe with time you will want her to be close to you or something” Leo explained making Mikey slowly nod as Leo allowed him to finish making dinner so once ready Mikey could try and see her, but since he already had her number he would call or text her “Maybe she can be the right one for you” Leo claimed as Mikey checked to see that the meal was ready making him take a plate of it for himself to his room to message Rosa there for a bit and to see how it would go.
One week later…
Leo watched from the corner of his eye Mikey texting Rosa… but with uncertainty on what to write to her, this has happened a few times making him worry for his little brother who was scared to love someone once again, he really wanted to help Mikey but Raph and Donnie also needed him with there heartbreak so for now he would leave Mikey to make his own choices and then he would go see him to know how things were going for him and Rosa, Mikey was confused on what to do… Rosa had asked if she could meet his family since they already knew about her having seen them… but he wasn’t sure if she should meet them right now at all with how badly he doesn’t want his heart broken once more by a girl he likes… yes he now knows he likes her but he will never tell her or all the pain he went through because of Shinigami will happen again. Wondering what Leo would do… he left his room to find his brother in hope of an answer to his problem, he wasn’t all that certain of where his brother was right now in the lair but from what they knew he was going to stay in the lair somewhere for his brother’s sake, he knew Leo wouldn’t be in the kitchen with how bad he was at making anything but tea and instant ramen… so it was for certain that he wasn’t there, he also wasn’t in the living room since Space heroes wasn’t on yet for another hour… leaving only his room or the dojo, so the dojo was his first stop and it confirmed his location when he saw Leo in his kata’s at the moment making him wonder if he could speak with Leo at the moment at all to know what he would do at all in all of this, Mikey wasn’t even all that sure if he should ask his brother “Is something the matter Mikey?” Leo asked as his brother walked over to him “Rosalina… she wants to know if she could meet us all… but I don’t know what to say” Mikey explained as he fidgeted with his fingers, Leo could tell that Mikey was nervous no matter what Leo says that he should tell Rosalina making him wonder what he should even tell him at the moment. “Do what you think is right for you Michelangelo, she opened up to you before any of us saw her… so it should be up to you on if she should meet us or not” he said making Mikey nod and slowly look down in despair of being unable to figure out what he wanted to do, Leo could tell that his answer wasn’t what Mikey had hoped at all “But…” Mikey looked up to his brother at the sound of his voice “I think… it would be a good idea for her to come and meet us. We would get outside sewer help when we need it” he said making Mikey nod and quickly go to his room to let her know he would go get her that night so she can come and meet his family… leaving Leo to tell their father about this. He walked into his father room to see him sipping on his tea “Do you come with something to speak with me about?” he asked making Leo sit down before his father and master “Indeed father, it’s about Michelangelo actually” he said making his father set his cup down to look at his oldest son, he wondered what this was about and simply kept silent for now “During our patrol… Michelangelo save a girl from being assaulted by three men, she saw him and they have been in contact since a week ago… now she wishes to meet the rest of us and it made him uncertain of the choice he should make about it” Leo explained making Splinter look at him with a simple stare that made Leonardo wonder if there father was against this or alright with it all happening now… he would need to get an answer first “Michelangelo is like Donatello and yourself… a broken heart that only a gentle and kind hearted person may fix, help your brother trust once more so his heart may be healed” their father said simply. Leo wasn’t all that sure of that answer… for he didn’t make sense to it himself, but he nodded and walked out of the dojo with his mind set to help Rosalina get into Mikey’s life to help him be happy once more like before any of this happened… he just needed to figure out how to do it, turning to Donnie’s lab he decides to see online for an answer of helping someone get the trust of one who lost it with another, he hoped it would help even just a little bit with the two to have one of his brother’s be happy now at least, once inside he noticed his genius brother working on something… giving him the chance to use his computer for now at least, he worked to search for an answer to his question and truly hoped someone had an answer to that at least so he could know what to do to help Donnie and Raph… lastly himself in all of this. “Is something worrying you Leo?” Donnie asked… Leo jumped at the voice of his brother as he forgot how quiet Donnie could be at times without even knowing, turning to him as his brother was leaning in to see what Leo was searching for in the first place “Mikey is going to have someone over to the lair meet us for the first time… I want her to be there for him when we can’t help him in the way he needs” Leo explained as Donnie read Leo’s search result and stood straight “Trying to have him love once more in a gentle way huh?” Donnie said as Leo looked down and nodded “We all had our hearts broken… well not Raph really but I want us all to be like when we were in love, happy and close” Leo said as Donnie looked at him with a smile and nodded. “You should try talking to her in private, let her know about what happened to him and if she asks how she can help just tell her to try and be there for him without letting him know she knows of what happened to him… make her wait for him to tell her on his own” Donnie said making Leo look at him and then moved to hug his brother for the helpful advice, Leo had then left the lab in hopes to be able to prepare something for when Rosalina would arrive to the lair as Mikey comes out of his room “I’m going to head out to get Rosa” he said making Leo look at him and shakes his head “Take Raph or Donnie with you just in case something happens out there” Leo ordered making Mikey nod and went to see if Donnie would be willing to come with him to get Rosa… leaving Leo to tell Raph of their guest. Meanwhile… Donnie is listening to Mikey talking about Rosalina as there going to pick her up, he doesn’t know much about her but he knew she was to meet the Hamato family so it was only fair for him to go with his brother to pick her up, he wasn’t all that sure about this girl meeting them all but from the sound of it Mikey believed she was alright enough to be trusted with there secret… but he felt like something bad was going to happen at some point in all of this, he simply couldn’t put his finger on it and decided to wait until something helped him understand better of there situation before he could prepare himself… they then arrived to there destination, Mikey said to his brother to wait on the roof while he get’s her so Donnie did as told and waited, moments later Mikey set on the roof a bag and then climbed up with a girl on his shell making Don wonder if it was her.
But… his heart then dropped at the sight of the girl.
She looked like April, if not for her hair being longer and her eyes being a lavender like color instead of blue, she had no freckles and her outfit style was much more different and girly then April would usually wear… so this girl may slightly look like her but that wasn’t April, yet he simply couldn’t handle the sight of her and simply turned away “I’ll make sure no one is watching” and he left to look around while Mikey spoke to Rosalina as she got on his shell so they could then get going towards the lair where she would meet Mikey’s full family Donnie had decided to put some distance between him and his brother by a building so to not see the girl from up close… he just didn’t want to remember her at the moment with how well he was doing now and he simply didn’t want to ruin all the efforts his family worked to help him, but at the same time he really wanted his little brother to be happy… but how can he with this girl looking like April!? He sighed as he simply would need to keep away from her for now until things were better as they got into the sewers to get to the lair where their father waited to meet Rosa. “Welcome, you must be the friend my son Michelangelo spoke about. I am Hamato Splinter his father and I welcome you to our home” he said kindly making her smile and nod to him as he invited her to the dojo so they could talk a bit about something making Mikey wonder what he should do next, he noticed Leo was in the kitchen making him smile and walk over to him so they could speak for a moment as his brother noticed him coming over “So she’s the girl you spoke about” he said making Mikey nod with a smile “Yeah, Rosalina is really great actually… to tell you the truth I feel better when I’m around her” he explained making Leo smile at how bright his little brother’s face was at the moment after just talking about the girl, Leo enjoyed that smile he had on as it was an actual smile making him feel better towards him looking so free after so much pain and suffering in the dark as Leo believed them all to be doing. “What do you think will happen in there?” Mikey asked while pointing towards the dojo and working on a snack for them to enjoy together, Leo thought for a moment about this as he looked towards the dojo “I think he just want’s to know her better and make sure she can be trusted with our secret” he said while thinking that it was also to make sure she won’t date one of them and break there heart like it had been done before, but he wasn’t going to tell Mikey that of course since he didn’t want his brother to worry that he might never be allowed to see her again because of that so he decided to keep this secret from him… for now he would wait for some good news before telling him anything “But will need to wait for father to come out after speaking to her, once everything is over I’ll speak to him so I can try know anything” Leo said making Mikey nod in joy as Rosa walked out of the dojo making him go over to her so they could go to the kitchen… while Leo went into the dojo to know a few things that happened between him and Rosalina. “You have questions I see… my son” Splinter said making Leo nodded as he closed the shoji doors and walked towards where his father sat, making him sit before him “That is correct father” he replied making Splinter nod in understanding to his son’s demand, he was a bit worried about Rosa and what was said between them “You wish to know about my conversation with miss Rosalina… am I correct?” Splinter asked making Leo nod to his father as he waited for his father to tell him anything at all making Splinter take a moment to think about what he would say next “I am afraid that it was a private conversation… I will not speak of it to you my son” he said making Leo sigh. He really thought that he would get something but sadly he wasn’t going to know, he walked out of the dojo to try and find everyone and saw Rosa and Mikey on the couch with him showing her some of his video games making him track Donnie and Raph in the lab working on something, he couldn’t understand why neither of them had been there to greet Rosalina making him walk over to them “Mikey’s friend is here” he said making Raph look to him and walk out to meet her while Donnie looked to bury himself even more into his work to ignore his brother and what he had just said to him. “Donnie? Is something wrong for you to not come meet Rosalina?” Leo asked as Donnie moved away from his desk to get to another table to work on something making Leo worry about his brother, he tried to understand why his brother would be acting like this… and then he remember what Rosalina looked like… almost like April, he now knew that he thought she was going to be like April. He wasn’t sure of how to talk to his brother about this and it worried him about what to do or even say to him right now “She’s not like April little brother” he said making Donnie freeze up in fear at that moment making Leo sigh as he went over to his genius brother who was trying to keep from looking at Leo to show the truth he was trying his best to keep from everyone about what he thought of Rosalina. “I understand how you feel but this won’t get any better if you do this… it will only get worse with time” Leo said as Donnie began to tremble from the tears that were trying to run down his face, he just wanted to be safe from April but this… clone of her is making it hard for him to even do such a thing so because of that he wasn’t so sure of what to do at the moment as Leo placed a gentle hand on his shoulder “She is fine and very kind… Mikey really looks to like her so I don’t see anything wrong with her being here. Try talking to her to see how she is and maybe this will help you move on from what April did” he explained making Donnie turn to his brother and slowly nodded to him, he very slowly stood up and moved to clean his face before turning to Leo as if asking “Do I look okay?” making his brother nod to him as Donnie nodded back and walked out of the lab to meet Rosalina. Leo smiled at this, everything was slowly going back to normal… maybe even better for them, he knew it would take them all some time for things to be better for all of them but at least Mikey and Donnie were getting better, with time everything would be fixed and they will be like before when they were happy and in love, Leo walked to the kitchen to get himself a bottle of water. He noticed Donnie and Rosa really going deep into a conversation making him wonder if Rosa was a nerd like Donnie is? Mikey walked over with a smile on his face and began telling Leo about how smart Rosa was and how she was going to teach him all kinds of things “I can’t wait! She said she would teach me more about art and languages but also she said if we had time and were at her place, she would teach me about cooking!” he exclaimed in joy making Leo smile and make a mental note to thank Rosa for making their baby brother happy. This was what Mikey needed, someone who didn’t think he was stupid and wanted to help him learn all kinds of new things, he was so excited that he wondered about what she would start teaching him first? What kind of language would they work on? What style of art would they try? What country of cooking would they work with? So many questions were running in his head, but he was still very excited as he then watched Rosa and Donnie work on some blueprints for Metalhead to fix him and to bring him back to life once more. He was excited to see that little robot moving around again, he still felt sad for when he blew up to stop the kraang even for just a little while so they could work on a few other things together. “She also promised to bring over a few things for us, you know since we don’t have the luxury to get good stuff from the store? So she asked us to each make a list of things we would want and she said she would do her best to buying as much as she can” he said making Leo smile and nod as Raph and Donnie came over as Rosa left for home an hour ago being dropped off by Raph “Is she sure about that? What if something one of us want is expensive?” Donnie asked making Mikey nod “She said if there was then she would let us know and wait to have enough money to buy it if she can’t afford it at the time” he explained making them nod as they each went to their room to work on their own list. Mikey was smiling from one side of his face to the next… and Leo was happy about that right now more then anything in the world for his baby brother, but he worried about Don and Raph now more then ever before as they had to figure something out for themselves… and as should he do the same, after everything April, Casey and Karai did to them, it was time for them to be truly happy with someone else like Mikey was doing right now… but it was only a matter of time before that even happened to one of them next, he thought about how Mikey met her in the first place and remembered the patrol, thinking it might be the perfect solution for them to find a new lover to have but that would need time to get to work on that to happen once again, he sighed and began looking around his room for something he would want that Rosa might be able to get him… just not expensive as he didn’t want her to spend her money on him and his brother’s all that much well… maybe on Mikey would be fine but still. Mikey came out of his room the next day, he had worked hard on his list and ended up falling asleep while finishing it up, he walked towards the kitchen to find to his surprise Rosa cooking making him move over to her side “Um… morning?” he spoke making her turn to him with a smile making him sit down with a smile in return “Hey Mikey! I was going to the store and was passing near here so I thought why not get extra and cook for you guys?” she explained making him nod as he watched her cook so well making him gasp in surprise at her talent as his brother’s began coming over to the kitchen to see her cooking for them, he told them her reason for being there and they sat down to watch her work before she serves each of them a plate. “I hope you all like omelets” she said making them all quickly dig into there meal, in an instant their jaws dropped once they swallowed the fork full of food at that moment from the flavors “Not good? I can make something else if you all want?” she suggested but they all began shaking there heads no making her look at each of them confused to there reactions moments ago “This is amazing actually” Donnie said making her smile “I wanna learn how to make this now” Mikey claimed as Rosa nodded and wrote down omelet on the list of foods to teach Mikey “This is better then anything we have eaten so far!” Raph cheered as she faintly blushed at the comment “We hope there will be maybe more to come from you?” Leo asked as she quickly nodded to him as her answer. “Of course! I will be more then happy to make more meals every once in a while, when I have the time!” she said making them smile at her answer, Splinter then walked over with his sons telling him to try the omelet making him sit down and eat a bite from the plate Rosalina handed to him “Very delicious” he said simply making her smile to his words, it was actually rare for her to get a comment like this but she was happy to gain one like this, Mikey began telling her about how excited he was to learn to cook from her… of course she was going to need to see the kitchen tools they have so she can figure out the first cooking lesson she would give him but that can wait until another day, for now she was hanging out with her new friends. Splinter smiled while watching his sons bond with there new friend… but he was worried about Michelangelo, after looking into his soul when they first meet Shinigami, his soul was bright and filled with energy… but then when she left him it began to crack and darken making him worry for his sons as they were each in the same condition, now that Rosalina was in there lives Michelangelo was sadly in the same condition but when Rosalina’s soul tried to connect with his… Michelangelo’s soul would push her back, it made him worry about his three other sons and if they would react the same way when they meet someone new to love.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
It had been about a month since Rosalina entered the Hamato clan’s life, this girl worked hard to do her part in helping them with something they had at times help with from humans they used to trust and then left, she didn’t mind helping as she was now thinking of them like her second family which made them smile… Mikey on the other hand began to fear her for some strange reason she didn’t know, Rosa of course tried to ask him about it but when she did he would find a reason to escape her and avoid telling her which was hard on her as all she wanted was to be friends with him. Mikey had simply stopped asking for lessons from her all of a sudden, she wasn’t even told why as she now had Leo coming over to try and learn how to cook even just small simple things without setting anything on fire (he set her microwave on fire once) and he was doing well for not knowing how to cook, she felt proud of him as she began helping him try to learn japanese cooking “Why is Mikey avoiding me?” she asked out of the blue as Leo was getting the dumplings ready to be in the steam, he was actually surprised by this question, he didn’t turn to her at first as he wanted to finish up his task before doing so (he didn’t want them to be messed up if he turns away) once he closed the lid and started the timer then he turned to speak “What do you mean?” he asked confused a bit. “He stopped the lessons just three weeks ago and he doesn’t want to be near me. If I go to ask him about it, he finds a reason to leave” she explained and Leo could tell from the tone of her voice that this was stressing her quite a bit right now, this was really strange for he just like his two other brother’s decided to learn from her, Raph actually wanted to know about fixing things to help Donnie as she began to purposely have her things break down a little after helping him figure things out to see if he understood and at times would help him when mixing up or skipping a step, Donnie had always wanted to learn new languages and when Rosa began talking by accident in different languages and asked her to teach him. But Mikey who wanted to learn different languages and to cook more food had stopped talking to her, it was truly an odd thing to happen and he wasn’t all that sure “I’ll see what I can do” he explained making her nod and sigh in relief making him smile at how he was able to help her like this so quickly as they then got back into the lesson, of course Leo worked hard on getting everything done and when she said it was amazing she then helped him bag the food to take it home for his family to taste making him smile the whole way home, he arrived and went to first find Donnie and Raph to tell them what Rosa told him about Mikey… which shocked them both since before his lessons began he was really excited to be doing them so for him to just up and not do them anymore confused them. When Mikey came out of his room due to the smell of the dumplings, it was then that his brothers attacked, they grabbed him and pinned him to the ground “Why are you avoiding Rosa like the plague!?” Donnie demanded, he at first avoided her the same way but ended up taking the first step in healing and was now able to be alone in his lab with her without thinking of April in her, Mikey tried to get out of there grip but for some reason as he panicked and did his best to not tell them why he was doing all of this in the first place… but Raph was playing dirty and began telling him what would happen if he said nothing, which meant his bones snapping or dislocating because of him “I’m scared of falling in love with her!!!” he shouted and this made his brother’s eyes widen in shock as Mikey then got out of there hold and left for his room. They didn’t see him after that, in fact they simply waited at the diner table and thought about what he just said “He must be thinking about this like a trauma, thinking that if he were to love Rosa she would end up doing the same thing Shinigami did” Donnie explained making Raph turn “You mean… cheat on him with someone else?” he asked making his brother nod as Raph thought about this again “Someone needs to tell Rosa about this” Leo mumbled as Donnie stood “She’s coming over tomorrow for my Spanish lesson so I can tell her then” he said making Leo nod and Donnie went to his lab to study for the lesson, Raph said he would work on a project to show Rosa and then come back to eat making Leo nod as he went to call for there father to eat… who walked in before he spoke “Michelangelo is not here?” he asked making Leo shake his head and explain what happened since what Rosa told him. “It would seem that you brother is focused on his past to even think of his future” there father explained making Leo wonder about it for a moment “Is there a way to help him?” he asked as Splinter sighed “It is up to him for that to happen” he responded as he took his meal and left for his room, Leo sighed and looked towards his little brother’s room, he knew that trying to talk to him wouldn’t do good now… but he had to at least try to do something, he walked over to the door and did nothing at first, didn’t knock even and just waited… for something to happen, he walked away after that and decided to simply leave his brother be and wait until he comes out on his own. The next day Mikey didn’t come out yet but Rosa did arrive and Donnie brought her to his lab so they could talk in private making her then look over to Mikey’s room with a look of worry almost like she did something wrong. They sat down and began Donnie’s Spanish lesson making him enjoy it as he took notes to help him practice, she smiled at how hard he was working for this to work as she believed he would be done with Spanish soon and can then focus on another language, he would at times look at her and wonder if he should even tell her right now about what he found out about Mikey… yet at the same time it was Mikey’s choice to tell her or not, so instead he told her that Mikey was thinking about something and it was getting in the way of him learning from her right now “Will he come talk to me at some point?” she asked making Donnie look at her for a moment before looking back to his Spanish lesson “It depends on him I guess, when he’s ready to talk to you he’ll come around” he explained making her nod. When the lesson was over, Rosa walked out of the lab to find Mikey in the kitchen, she thought about going to talk to him… but instead went to the couch where Raph was to see what he was doing and maybe have him try to fix something else today, she did at times look towards the kitchen where Michelangelo was at the moment but she did nothing more and simply went back to focusing on Raphael as he tried to fix the toaster she had found at the junkyard before coming to the lair, she would also need to check on Leonardo to test him on making an omelet in order to see how he was doing so far with cooking… something she missed doing with Mikey more then ever as she then watched as Raph finished fixing the toaster and left to show Donnie to see what he thought about it before she walked to the dojo to get Leo so they could practice in the kitchen while ignoring Mikey who was there and see what he would do about this. He did nothing, instead he watched them for a moment and then walked away to the couch to watch some TV, Raphael was still in the lab… she believed he was helping Donnie right now so she simply focused on Leonardo as he got everything he needed to cook making her smile as she watched him… only at times did she need to help him with something as he cooked making him mumble it and then corrected himself and then went back to work “You’re doing great Leo” she said making him smile as he finished up and then served it to her… she was very proud of his hard work as she then began helping him clean up before working on something else, she explained to him how to prep everything and helped working on the food “Are there some recipes that are more complicated?” he asked making her look at him and nod. “There are, those recipes have more ingredients or more instructions on how to prepare everything while using all kinds of tools to make it all” she explained making him nod “But for now were going to work with what you have and ingredients we can get easy” she added making him smile as he got back to work, Mikey watched them for a moment while wanting to join them but the thought of what happened between him and Shinigami stopped him from doing… Raph and Donnie sighed as they then formed a plan in there minds as they nod to one another to get to work “Hey Rosa!” Raph calling for her made everyone one look at him “Is there a complicated recipe you could make us for dinner?” he asked making her think for a moment and then nodded. “I can but I would need to head out now to get the ingredients and tools from my place” she explained making him nod as Leo said he could take her out now since they were done with there lesson making her smile and nod as they got going, Mikey watched as the two left the lair making him feel anger which he never felt before now… sure his brother’s have been around Rosalina more then he had before now but still! He just couldn’t handle the idea that they get together and then she leave’s him for someone else behind his back! He didn’t want to go through that yet again with how hard he worked to get better from it all “You could just go after them to help” he turned to look at Donnie in surprise “I’m sure she’s going to need a bunch of things so another pair of hands would help” he said while walking back to the lab. Mikey thought for a moment while looking at the TV, Donnie was actually right… she might need help with everything so he would be of great help if he joined them, with that in mind he rushed out of the lair in hopes of catching up to the two so he could help… during this time Raph texted Leo about the plan “He says he’s gonna wait until Rosa and Mikey are doing well before claiming to get something and come to the lair first so they can talk together while he watched them” Raph explained making Donnie nod “Good, this will help us know how things are going between them while there coming here… but at one point Leo will need to leave for the lair so they don’t know he was watching them this whole time” Donnie said making Raph nod and text Leo about this whole thing.
They pray this plan works, and for Mikey to tell Rosa the truth behind why he was no longer hanging out with her…
Mikey found them, Leo was on a roof while Rosa came out of a 24/7 supermarket with four bags, he landed on the roof Leo was on and they in silence moved to follow Rosa to her place to get the tools she needed, they got inside and Rosalina was surprised to see Mikey there too when he was mostly ignoring her “Mikey? What are you doing here?” she asked making the prankster faintly blush and look away “Donnie guessed you might bring a bunch of stuff… I thought it would be kind of me to come and help” he explained making her smile and nod in understanding to his words “Okay, I do need some help because I have a bunch of things to bring back to the lair you guys don’t have right now” she explained making them nod as Leo grabbed the bags “I’ll bring this back to the lair… we don’t know if you got anything that needs to be kept cold so I’ll go back to put everything away” he explained making them nod as he then left… with a smirk on his face as he headed for the lair for his brother’s to put everything away while he spied on the two. She was pulling out tools while Mikey began placing them in bags she brought out to put them in “I don’t think we would be able to carry them in our arms without something falling and breaking” she explained making him nod as they finished up and left with her holding the two bags and him carrying her on his shell… it was silent between them while he ran on rooftops “Why did you cancel our lessons?” she asked making him stop on a roof… while not noticing Leo watching them and texting the guys “I-I was” he couldn’t say it, this was all too much for him “If you don’t want me coming to the lair I’ll understand and never come back if I’m not wanted” she said making his eyes widen as she began getting off his shell “NO!” he said making her lightly jump as Leo began to mentally cheer “It’s just… I’m scared you’ll the same as Shini. She cheated on me with Casey for who knows how long and I’m scared you’ll do the same since I like you so much” he explained… his eyes then widen as he realized what he just said to her. Shini? As in Shinigami? His ex-girlfriend? She did remember Splinter talking about her once but that was it… nothing more, but now she knew “I do like you… but I would never cheat on you with someone else” she said making him look at her in shock as she smiled, did she really just say that? She likes him? As in… wants to date him like? He wasn’t sure on what to say as he then got a text from Leo asking him where they were at the moment “I’m guessing that’s Leo?” she asked making him nod “He want’s to know if were on our way back to the lair” he said making her nod, Leo wasn’t sure if this helped or not but at least they would get going to the lair so with that he moved away from them and into the sewers where they now went “Do you want… to go out or something?” he faintly heard Mikey asked making Leo grin. “How about you come back for some lessons?” she asked making him smile and nod as Leo got to the lair and sat on the couch, the two got in and went straight to the kitchen as then something crashed in the lab making Raph curse and Donnie groan, Leo chuckled as he then watched Mikey and Rosalina began getting the ingredients out to get started on the dinner for tonight making the two smile as they got to work while Rosa said a few words in another language making Mikey try to say them in english making Leo chuckle, he then focused on the TV while listening to the two talking while cooking dinner making him then text Raph and Donnie about what was happening in the kitchen at the moment. “Do you want to cook for our first date?” she asked making Mikey look at her in slight surprise and softly nod while looking back to his task “That sounds… really nice” he said making her giggle and then kiss his cheek making Leo grin from ear to ear at how cute they looked together… and how well things were now going for them now that Mikey told her the truth behind his actions “How does it look?” he turned to find Donnie joining him on the couch “Pretty good I think, there talking mostly but it looks to be going well to me” Leo replied making Donnie nod as he watched with his brother “Raph is pissed because he can’t seem to get something to work… but he won’t let me see what it is” Donnie said making Leo chuckle “So he kicked you out of his lab?” Leo asked making Donnie sigh “I’m starting to wish he never asked Rosa to teach him how to fix things” he groaned making Leo laugh at him as Raph shouted in anger and then stomped out of the lab making them wonder what happened in there to make him mad. “Did something happen in there Raph?” Leo asked as he tried to test the waters on his brother, Raphael was easy to anger now with all the training to work his emotions once again so they always had to be careful around him “Just something I’m making… doesn’t want to turn on no matter what I try to fix” he grumbled in anger making his brother’s sigh in relief at how neither of them are going to get hurt “Is everything alright over there?” Rosa asked making them turn to see the two watching them “Were fine! Raph is just a little ticked over a project of his” Leo explained making Raph nod, the two blinked, looked at one another, looked at them and then nodded to then get back to cooking… making the trio sigh in relief “So glad they didn’t come over” Donnie said making them nod in relief. “So… what happened out there? You didn’t tell us anything when they got back here” Raph said making Leo look at them “He told her why he stopped their lessons… she replied on how she liked him too. They got into the sewers and he asked her if she wanted to go on a date and she responded on him getting back into her lessons” he explained making them nod in understanding to the good news… of course Leo would need to tell master Splinter about all of this but not right now… but for now they were going to enjoy a nice dinner and then tell there father the news maybe tomorrow after training? At least when Mikey wouldn’t come back into the dojo for anything… he never really liked morning training so it made sense for Leo to use the dojo as a way to tell their father. “Foods almost ready! Can one of you set the table and another tell master Splinter?” Rosa asked making Leo go to there father while Raph and Donnie set the table… might as well tell him at that moment with this chance given to him and all, he knocked on the shoji door “Enter my son” Splinter spoke making Leo open the shoji door and slowly walk inside “Is there something you wish to tell me Leonardo?” Splinter asked making Leo nod as he sat down before his father “Mikey and Rosa are finishing up dinner right now” he said making his father nod “There is something more… isn’t there my son” he claimed making Leo look down and nod “We got Rosa and Mikey to talk… he told her why he stopped doing her lessons and there sounding like there going to do them again and planning a dinner date” he said making Splinter faintly smile and nod “It would seem that this little plan you have made was able to make Michelangelo reveal the darkness in his heart to Rosalina” he said making Leo nod as they then stood and left to join the others for dinner. In the end the meal was amazing, complicated to understand but delicious making everyone compliment Rosa and Mikey for there hard work, Leo then asked if at some point they would be able to make a complicated recipe which she responded with how it could happen but not right now as they were doing baby steps at the moment for him… it made sense as they didn’t want her place on fire because he messed something up, so for now she was going to teach him simple things and then go from there… Mikey could do more complicated recipes as long as she helps him through it at first but that was it for now “Until one of you can get better in cooking Mikey will be the only one learning more complicated recipes” she explained making them nod in understanding of her words while Splinter chuckled at how quickly she was able to gain some control on them… he didn’t mind actually as they were boys and all so it helped him having a girl in the lair helping him for a bit. And time began to pass for them… About two weeks passed and the Hamato family was very happy into meeting Rosalina, the girl really helped them around the lair as thanks to her they were able to upgrade a few things in the lair “better couch, bigger TV, more furniture, better electronics and new beds) Mikey was even able to cook a few complicated recipes now with needing Rosa there to watch or help him, Leo on the other hand was getting to them but it was taking some time for that to happen, Raph was now fully able to help Donnie in building or fixing things and was now learning with Donnie in the medical field while Rosa was teaching Russian just in case… he actually enjoyed learning the language as for Donnie he fully learned Spanish and was now learning French with her help while studying further about medicine which she was more then happy to get books to read and study from for him. Now for her and Mikey’s relationship… it was getting there, Mikey was having a hard time in planning a date for her and when Rosa tried… she only ended up making him think back to Shinigami because of where she took him or what they were doing… she was feeling like a terrible girlfriend to Mikey and his brother’s worried it was only to get worse so they split up to talk to Mikey and Rosa and to figure out a perfect date plan for them… and they got one set up that made them kiss at last, Mikey was to text Rosa to meet him in the sewers at her place, then they were to get a little away and then to the surface… ending up in Time square making the two happy at the sights… while not noticing the trio setting up a pick-nick for them to enjoy together. Of course, they noticed it in the end, just not at first, the brother’s were also watching them just in case something bad happened or to help with the mood… Splinter knew about there plan and said nothing about it… only a tip about music making them set up some small speakers Raph fixed and that Donnie placed on the roof… Leo pressed play as a nice and romantic slow song began to play for them, it was nice and soothing making Mikey help her up and ask her to dance… which of course she accepted making the two smile as they slowly danced to the music… making Mikey’s three older brother’s happy and cheer in silence at how well things were going for them at the moment, they really hoped it got better for the two right now… but mutant turtles can dream… right?
Well karma decided to grant that dream…
The two were gently talking while still dancing when it happened… Mikey was looking at her lavender eyes as she looked at him with a gentle smile, he slowly moved closer making her slowly lean in… as they then kissed making the trio freak out!! There brother got his first kiss!!! They knew Mikey never kissed Shinigami!! She had always teased him about it claiming she wanted it on a perfect moment… and when he wanted to kiss her wasn’t perfect enough in her opinion… maybe she said that because she didn’t want Mikey to feel like her breath was like Casey’s… there little brother had smelled it before on accident when Casey leaned in too close into Mikey’s face to whisper something to him… but now he got his first kiss from his second girlfriend.
Now only three turtles were left to meet someone new… but who was next?

Donnie smiled as he watched Mikey and Rosa cuddling together on the couch while watching a movie, the family had gotten really close to her and were happy to have her in the family, she was really caring and helpful when ever they needed help with something at some point so she was a big help, right now Donnie felt the need to head to the dump so he got up and headed to the lab so to get his duffel bag so that if he finds what he needs “I’m going to the dump” he said but none of them looked to have heard him or noticed him leaving the couch making him simply sigh and leave the lair and began to leave for the dump to take care of trying to find what he needed and maybe things his family wanted too. He got to the surface while looking around so to make sure no human see him, he then got to the roof and moved towards the dump… he wondered if he would find what he needed as he didn’t want to ask Rosalina to buy what he needed since some of the items were very expensive and he didn’t want her to go broke and need to find a new job or something, he sighed as he landed into the dump and began to look in some of the piles while finding so far half of what he needed and some items his family would want making Donnie smile as he looked in another pile and began finding the rest of the things he needed, he put them in the duffel and decided to take the scenic route so to get some time outside before needing to head back to the lair making him smile as he actually enjoyed being out of the lair alone as he didn’t have to hear Leo and Raph yelling because of patrol or a plan Leo made, nor hear Mikey talking about anything and everything or about Rosalina.
It was then that he saw her… on a bench and under a lamp post.
She looked to be reading a book, she was also alone which made him slightly worry but no one looked to be near her at all… but she was beautiful also, her hair was to her chin, it looked brown but midway it was red at the end, he sadly couldn’t see her eyes but he could tell she was wearing glasses, her skin was slightly pale but she looked so cute that he wished she would look his way, he sighed… there was no way she would do such a thing and want to talk to him… she would more then likely scream and run away… but Rosalina didn’t do that for Mikey, she instead stood there before him, looking at the time he knew he had to get going, so with one last glance at the mystery girl while taking a picture of her… he left to head back to the lair while wondering about who she was. To his surprise, no one noticed he had left at all… they were all simply sleeping on the couch as the credits were playing, he chuckled faintly while turning the TV off and then covering them with a blanket, Blue for Leo, Red for Raph and orange for Mikey and Rosa, he then quietly headed into his lab to begin fixing up what he found in the dump while thinking back to the girl he saw earlier… she was so beautiful and wondered what she sounded like, even her name he began to wonder about it as he finished up fixing up the pieces he wanted and began getting them into place of what he was working on and made a note to remember to fix the items he found for his family that were still in the duffel before turning in for the night… as he dreamed about the girl on the bench while wondering about her eye color. He woke up to Mikey encouraging Leo while Rosa quietly told the leader what to do next. He smiled while sitting up, it had been so long since any of them ever cooked in the kitchen… other then Mikey since he was better then any of them but now thanks to Rosa’s hard work Leo could actually help in some sort of breakfast cooking… within limits given to him on what he can and can’t use, Donatello got out of his room and entered the kitchen to watch them cook… but then he thought about the girl making him wonder about who she was as Raph then came in making Donnie watch him sit with them as Rosa handed him a cup of coffee which he thanked her for, Leo finished cooking making Rosa serve them each a plate as Leo cleaned up making Donatello wonder if this was good or not making him take a bite and simply nod and keep eating while drinking his coffee, there father arrived to eat with them making Rosa set a plate for him as Leo and she then began eating with them “Donatello, where did you go last night?” there father ask making his brother’s eyes widen as they actually ignored him this whole time “I went to the dump, I told my brother’s but they were more focused on the movie” he explained making them look down in shame. None of them spoke… but Rosa did “I guess we were all so focused on the movie… we accidentally shut you out” she said making Splinter look at his sons in disappointment, the fact they would ignore there genius brother… who worked very hard to help them survive for many years was beyond him “I believe some extra training is needed for you three” he said as he then walked back to the dojo… with them following with groans of despair at the news, Donnie then went to his lab with his meal to finish up a few things while his brother’s were still training at the moment and looked over everything he was doing, he then thought back to the girl he saw… he really want’s to see her again, which could happen on patrol tonight! He really hopes so she was so beautiful to his eyes and he wished to talk to her at the time but how could he do something like that with the way he looked?
Was there even a slight chance for him to be with her at all?
He sighed as he got to work on a project he had thought of making, nothing big really… just a sort of spy camera that could fly around… and maybe he could add it a way to talk through it or even bring something… either way if he was able to finish it by tonight… he could then use it to talk to the girl he saw the night before! It was perfect but he had to work on it right now so it can be ready by then, he smiled while working on it “It needs to be tested too. So I know it actually works” he whispered to himself while starting to put it together to first be able to fly around at his control, once that was confirmed he got to adding the camera to view things for him while he controlled it… slight problems that needed to be taken care but then it worked just right making him happy as he then began making the plans for the communication and a plan for transport… either of them would be fine.
But he needs to make sure that nothing goes wrong with one of them at least…
He looked over the finished plans and wondered if anything was bad or even if there would be complications with the project in the end? The transport was better so he began adding it while making sure to only have it be used to send notes or letters to talk to someone else “It would be light enough to not cause problems… something heavier would make it fall or shut down” he mumbled to himself as he then finished and only had to test it now by giving it a piece of paper and then made it fly around the lab for a bit making him smile at the wonderful results to his project as he then turned to find Rosa walking into his lab “Lunch is almost done” she said with a smile making him nod as he put his project on his table “Are they out of the dojo?” he asked making her nod “There sore and tired right now so I’m bringing them some soup actually but I made some sandwiches for us to enjoy” she explained making him nod as she then walked out to start delivering the soup to Donnie’s brother’s. He walked out to the kitchen where a plate of sandwiches was placed making him walk over and begin eating them, it was really quiet in the lair which wasn’t normal as most of the time one of them would get in a fight or even someone would do something you can hear almost all around the lair… but not now, his brother’s were each in there own rooms resting from training because they didn’t go out with Donatello when he wanted to go to the dump, when he was done eating it was with a sigh as he placed the plate into the sink and then he returned to his lab to make sure that everything was just fine with his project… when he saw it was all good he then smiled and put it away so that when it was time for patrol, he would go solo and towards where the girl was and give her a little note. He could faintly hear his father checking on his brother’s, and Rosa going to the kitchen with the tray holding three bowls… telling him they were done eating and were now resting making him sigh and hope for the best that they were going on patrol that night, he took a peak out of his lab and saw that his brother’s doors were open making him wonder if something was up… he instead decided to forget about it and simply went back to work on a few other projects of his “I need to finish these” he mumbled while making sure to check on the time so to not be late for patrol or anything… he had to see her again… he wanted to talk to her so badly right now that was actually thinking about leaving the lair now while it was daylight at the moment. While he wasn’t thinking about April anymore with everything she said to him… also not forgetting how he wasn’t putting Rosa down as April now that he knew she was much more different to April… he still worried that something bad would happen because of this girl “No forget about it” he growled to himself and then looked at one of his projects and went back to work on it, he was actually very excited for tonight… he might see her again and that was making him happy just thinking about it right now as he wondered if everything would be alright between them actually “It will take time but one day I’ll let her see me” he whispered while thinking about her eye color once again making him groan at how he so badly needed to see her eye color and soon before he went crazy about it. Slowly the day turned to night, Donnie noticed how none of his brother’s had come out of there room… making him realize that they weren’t going on patrol tonight because of the training making him whine at not seeing the girl again, he had to see her! He simply needed to do that right now making him look around his lab with the hopes of finding something that would give him the chance at leaving the lair to see her without anyone going with him, but there was nothing that could do such a thing… and then he found his one way ticket outside… he needed to restock on some medical equipment… plus Rosa had gone home for the night and wouldn’t wake up until morning, with that he went to see Splinter and let him know “Sensei, I know it’s for the best for one of my brother’s to come with me… but I need to leave to get some medical equipment we need to restock on” he explained and then waited for his father to give him an answer.
And boy was he happy with his father’s answer…
“Very well. But do not stay out too long” his father said making Donnie nod and get his things to then head out to get what they were missing and then once he would be done… he would try to find the girl once again, he couldn’t believe the fact his father allowed him to leave the lair like that! He actually thought he would tell him to get one of his brother’s or to wait until the next night to get them… but he instead allowed him to head out all on his own! He did once so why should it matter if he went alone once again? He smiled as he got into there usual pharmacy and began grabbing what they needed and then placed some money under a register to then quickly leave as if he was never there in the first place… making him love being a ninja turtle.
Now to find that mystery girl from the previous night…
He so badly hoped for her to be at the same spot as before… and the fact she was there but with another book made him so happy, he slowly pulled out his little friend and then wrote her a little note “Now you take it and now to bring it to her” he mumbled as he activated the robot and made it fly towards her, he prayed for her to not destroy it or even run away… so when she simply turned to look at it and then took the note… he was able to see her beautiful dark brown eyes making him so happy, he watched as she read it and then pulled out a pen to write on the paper and then slipped it back where it was before she took it in the first place… making him fly it back to him as she went back to reading her little book. This kept happening for weeks, every single night, Donatello would figure out a reason to head out of the lair so he could talk to Jasmine, it was so much fun to talk like that and simply have a bit of fun at the same time… of course there were patrols so when that happened he made sure to take the route where she would be on and do it quickly so he could then talk to her… very slowly it turned to texting since they couldn’t always talk during the night as he was running out of excuses to be able to head out alone so it was helping so they could talk even during the day… then she one day asked if she could call him to talk and he worried slightly as this would make her imagine what he might look like… and he sadly wasn’t all that ready for it so he sadly refused to do so which she replied it was fine and that he could tell her when he was ready… making him thank her as she sent him a winky face.
Then came trouble… and not for the turtles… but for Jasmine…
The poor girl was just heading home like she always did, she had a group meeting that day and she had to prepare a few things for an event she was planning making her excited to tell Donnie when she got home, she had so much to tell him since the week started he wasn’t able to talk to her as he was busy with something important so she told him that it was fine and for him to focus on his thing and to let her know when he was able to talk to her again making him agree as she wondered what he was doing… she still wondered what he both sounded and looked like, he was so mysterious, she wondered if there was a reason behind him not letting her hear him at all… could it be that he was scared about something? Was it because of her? Did she do something wrong? She sighed as she simply kept walking home while making sure to mentally remember everything she was to do. “There you are bitch!” Jasmine turned at the sound of a familiar woman’s voice, miss Miles has a son with autism who was part of the group… until the other members complained about him causing trouble and not helping. When he had joined both he and his mother were told of the rules and what he had to do and both of them had agreed… but he never followed making her always need to call his mom who didn’t answer, she would leave a message warning her that if she didn’t talk to her son to follow the rules they both agreed to then she would need to rule it and kick him out… when nothing changed she then contacted the other members who all agreed for him to be kicked out, so when he came back she kept him out and told him that due to him disobeying the rules both he and his mother agreed to he was kicked out and his mother was called. “Why did I just hear your voice in my message box saying my son was kicked out!?” she demanded making Jas sigh “You and your son agreed to the rules I spoke about… but he not once followed or helped while each time I called you on the number YOU gave me… I was ignored” she explained making the woman look even more angry at this thing happening to her… all the while Donnie and his brothers were on patrol and stopped to watch this whole scene unfold before them “You have no right to kick him out!” she shouted making Jasmine glare “I do actually, I’m the one who made the group and the rules plus the other members all agreed for your son to be kicked out!” she snapped making the mother go wide eye at the young girl before glaring and pull out a gun at her. None of them saw this coming so the turtles and Jasmine were in fear at this woman “Let my son back into the group!” the woman ordered with a grin as she always got what she wanted when she pulls out her gun… but Jasmine then looked serious once again “I won’t miss Miles and I hope you planned a lawyer because I’m calling the police on you for aiming a gun at me as a threat!” she said making miss Miles look at her in shock as she didn’t know what to do as the gun wasn’t even loaded… even so she decided to keep up her act and made it so it sounded like she was making a bullet be spun to be used if she pulled the trigger “I’ll kill you if you don’t put my son back in the group!” she shouted as then people from the building they were next to rushed out to grab her and kick the gun out of her hand while telling her that the police was on the way. When the police sirens were heard, the woman began screaming that the gun was empty but no one cared, the brother’s didn’t leave and instead kept watching the scene to make sure everything was alright for Jasmine, Donnie felt bad for her… if he hadn’t been so busy he would have been able to give her advice on what to do about the boy and this woman, but sadly he had training and Rosa needed help with her training so they were taking turns that week, he watched as the police asked her questions about the lady who was being cuffed and placed into the police car as another officer bagged the gun, he then asked her if she wanted a ride home but she simply explained she wasn’t all that far from home so she was fine making him nod and drive off to the station to question the lady and get a family member to get answers from them about her and her actions… making Donnie wonder how long she had this happen to her? They watched her get home making them too head to the lair while Donnie went to his lab so to text Jasmine and see how she was doing. He began by asking her if she was at home, making her reply she was and was on her couch relaxing from an exhausting event that just happened making him ask her about it… it kept going for a bit until he sighed and dialed her number to call which surprised her but she picked up “H-hello?” she asked while slightly nervous making him smile “Hey there Jasmine” he responded making her smile at the fact she could now pin a voice to her mystery man, they talked for about an hour until Donnie told her he was placing her on speaker as he had to work on something but he was still going to listen to her as she spoke making her allow him that and continued to talk together, of course there were times when his brother’s would walk in to talk to him about something and he would respond quickly… then he would tell Jasmine who that was and complain about that brother making her giggle as they then wondered about meeting for the first time.
Who knew it would happen so soon?

Raph had noticed how Don was either texting or talking to the air in his lab when the door was closed, he thought it was very weird but he decided to pay no mind to it for now… when he was ready to talk, he would let them know. But then came that patrol… this miss Miles was harassing some girl and from the looks of it… Donnie was worried about the girl, Jasmine had been on the news due to the attempted murder on her… well fake murder that is, even so Donnie looked to be looking over a few things, making sure none of them were around as he contacted her everyday to make sure she was fine (which she was no matter how many times he called to be sure of it) during patrol he also took the habit of quickly calling dibs on the route that takes him to her so he can watch her at night as she leaves her group meeting to head on home for the night.
He didn’t want to watch the news and find out she was killed the next day…
And of course… Raph tells Leo who get’s worried about his brother, at first he thought it was because of what happened to the girl they heard talking to the crazy lady but now… it was like he was scared of something maybe about to happen at some point “Don? Are you alright? You look to be nervous about something” he says while walking into the lab one day, Donatello had just been up and ready to head to the junkyard to find a few things which he was allowed to head alone now that he had gone out a few times alone without problems so there really was no reason for anyone to come with him but then… Leo coming in scared him slightly “I’m fine actually. Just the whole scene we saw with the woman and girl scared me” he lied… well half lied since he was scared Jasmine could have gotten killed but that’s it really “I’m sure she’s fine Donnie” Leo then said and walked away to let his brother leave… and then he followed him. Leo had to figure out what was going on with his little brother… he couldn’t let him fall into his dark pit again after everything April did to him, like always Donnie went to the junkyard to look for a few things either to help out in the lair or for there patrols… sometimes to even make something as a gift for his siblings, it was pretty simply actually and he even smiled at his brother as he looked around… at times he even secretly made a sound so his brother could find something he located that Donnie needed… but then his brother looked at the time and left for a route he took for patrol… Leo found it odd actually and followed him to figure out what was even happening and maybe get a clue on what was going on in his brother’s head at the moment.
What he saw next actually surprised him… and he hoped it was a good choice…
His brother Donatello, was sending a small flying bot towards the girl they watched almost get killed, she would look at it and grab a note that was inside and write something to then place it back so his brother could make it fly back to him to read her response… he never thought to see the day where his brother would be happy like this at all and he missed his happy brother… but he needed to know this girl a little bit better then from he can see so far, he left to get back to the lair and tell Mikey and Raph… but not there father just yet that would need to wait for a little bit until they can get a bit of a better understanding from it all right now, the two brother’s began to talk about what they saw Donnie do or they found in his lab when he wasn’t there… specifically for Mikey the bot Donnie was using to send the girl a message that she responded back to him by the same way that he controlled making Leo need to now more then ever talk to his brother about all of this happening to him.
Sadly, he wasn’t lucky on that part… especially when Jasmine is captured for ransom by the purple dragon’s…
Donnie was scared… actually no he was TERRIFIED! This girl who he has been talking to was captured all of a sudden by the PD’s who were demanding from the mayor money or they would kill her and then go capture someone else… Leo quickly told his brother’s to get ready to head out and save her, from what they could tell she was in pain from some bruises she got and minor cuts… of course they were stupid enough to tell exactly where they were to be delivered the money so yeah they were on the roof just waiting for the moment to get in and save her, during this time Rosalina was prepping the lab to treat Jasmine’s injuries “Mikey… pull out the smoke pallets” Leo ordered making Mikey get out ten of them, Raph opened the window and his brother threw them around Jas making the dragon’s freak out. One was claiming loud enough that it was them… to their luck the camera wasn’t on this whole time so Donnie was able to get her out without being spotted, he left the building and quickly took her to the lair as he wanted to help her with the injuries she had so far while his brother’s made sure those dragon’s were tied up, Rosa helped him set her down and began treating her cuts first, then were the bruises so she could then sleep… after that it was all up to her in order for her to wake up from all of this so all he could do was sit and wait “She’ll be fine Donnie. Give her time to rest” Leo said making his little brother nod and turn in for the night as Rosa was taken home by Mikey who was staying at her place for the night, Raph already went to bed so Leo went to there father to tell him what happened.
To his surprise… Splinter didn’t mind that there was another girl in their home… as long as she was well taken care of once she wakes up…
The next day, Donnie went to see how she was doing… which was still sleeping of course, he knew it wasn’t going to be some miracle and she would wake up as he walked inside his lab “Stupid Don” he mumbled to himself as he got to work in his lab on a few things, as he worked, his brother’s came to check on him and Jasmine as she slept… with Rosa bringing a change of clothes for Jasmine to change into when she wakes up later on or the next day, none of them were actually certain she would wake up anytime soon from now, for a while none of them tried to understand Donnie’s connection to the girl… it can wait until she wakes up of course, Mikey and Rosa began preparing something simple for Jasmine to eat when she wakes up as they knew she might be hungry when she wakes up at some point… with everyone busy, Jasmine began to flutter her eyes open to figure out what happened and where she was at the moment. Slowly Jasmine tilted her head to look to the side where Donnie sat… she didn’t speak and only looked at him, she found it strange to see a giant walking and talking turtle in New York but she didn’t mind all that much, ever so slowly she sat up to look herself over from her injuries to figure out her condition so far from what the purple dragon’s did to her after they grabbed her, as she looked herself over… Donatello turned to check on her and was surprised to see her awake and sitting up, he didn’t want her to know he was the one talking to her this whole time so he secretly walked out with his mug as Rosa walked in to find the girl awake “Hey, how are you feeling right now?” she asked softly making Jasmine look up with a faint smile “A little in pain from the injuries but nothing more then that” she replied making Rosa nod and walk over to examine her fully “Let me help you get changed into something a little bit more comfortable for you” she said making Jasmine nod to the idea and allowed herself to be changed. Leo had been just about to walk into the lab after knocking when he heard the two girls talking, Rosa sounded to be trying to help her and the other was hissing from the pain she was in at the moment, he decided to not look inside and simply look for his brother who was in the kitchen “She’s awake” he said making Mikey and Raph turn to him while Donnie didn’t move, Leo found it slightly odd but said nothing and simply walked over to him “Don? I said she’s awake… don’t you want to make sure everything’s alright with her?” he asked making Don freeze up for a moment before calming down “Rosa is with her right? She’s not here right now so she must be in the lab right now… so it’s fine” he explained making Leo even more confused as he turned to his brother’s.
Something wasn’t right with Donnie to make him act like this… almost like he didn’t want her to see him or something…
“Donnie? Could it be… that you don’t want her to know she was talking to you this whole time?” this made Donatello look at Leo in shock “What are you-” “I followed you when you went to use that little robot to talk to her one night” Leo explained quickly, with a sigh his brother nodded which surprised Raph and Mikey “I actually called her. She knows what I sound like and I don’t want her to know it’s me” he explained making them then understand… he didn’t want her to know that she had been in contact with a giant mutant turtle, Rosa slowly walked over with Jasmine to then help her sit down “This is Jasmine Lessard” she explained making them nod and smile to her as Donnie simply nodded as his brother’s spoke… which confused Rosa at that moment but decided to not say or do anything right now and to wait until they had some time to talk together for a bit. Jas smiled to them Mikey set down a plate of food for her to enjoy, these giant… talking turtles were a surprise to her at first glance but in the end… they don’t mean harm at all to anyone, of course they introduced themselves to her… except for the one with the purple mask, he was quiet the whole time making her wonder if he was actually mute or something… but his brother Leo told her he wasn’t so this meant something was wrong to make him keep quiet… and avoid her when she was around, at first she believed he was simply shy around her so she decided to allow him some time to get used to her being around a bit but then… his brother Leonardo told her he wasn’t shy which made her wonder what she did wrong to make him not want to talk to her in the first place… and if he hated her at all, she wanted to ask him what happened but each time he kept away from her or just left the room before she arrived… almost like he knew when she would come in.
Then it began to get worse…
If she asked him something, he would pull out his phone, send a text and then moments later one of his brother’s would come in to take her somewhere else… while glaring at Donatello, other times if she greeted him he would go straight to the dojo and lock it so she couldn’t get in, no matter what she said or did he simply kept away like she was some sort of disease or something… and it made her feel worse about herself then she did before now “What am I doing wrong? I just want to talk to him a bit… is that too much to ask?” she asked in a groan as she and Raph were watching some TV at the moment… of course he knew what was going on with his little brother… but no matter what he had to keep it from her at all times and it annoyed him “Maybe he’ll turn up at some point and talk to you” he said as he changed the channel making her sigh and get up as she then left for home… she could think it all over after a nice hot bath, once she was gone Donnie came out of his lab, sat on the couch and spoke “What are we watching?” that simple question made him slam the remote on the floor… destroying it and his siblings with Splinter and Rosa came out to see the whole situation. “What the HELL Don! She’s been trying to talk to you and all you did was LEAVE!!!” he shouted in anger, Splinter only sighed in disappointment in all of this happening between them, he hoped his son would have spoken to her to reveal she was talking to him this whole time… but instead kept quiet “Not only that! But she wonders if she did something wrong… here’s what’s wrong and it’s actually very simple for an answer… YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!” with that said, Raph left the lair to go after Jas and try to talk to her “Dude… so not cool bro” Mikey said as he took Rosa to the dojo to try and train her a bit, Leo simply sighed in disappointment towards his brother and went to his room to meditate leaving Donnie with there father “My sons” he said making Donnie look at the old rat “Father. You must understand my reasons, right?” he asked in the hopes he was right… but her sadly wasn’t. “In all my years of raising you four… I have never been more disappointed in my life my son” he said making Donnie’s eyes widen in sorrow “You have made her hear your voice because you trusted her… but now you lack the trust to speak to her in person and refuse to be close to her out of fear of nothing” he continued making Donnie look down in shame to his actions, all he wanted was for Jasmine to not figure out he was the one she was talking to this whole time! He had rights in all of this of course “You must remember my son that Jasmine has choices herself and has made the choice to try and speak to you… and you have made the choice to push her away without a simple reason for her to know” he explained making Donnie look up in shock… there father was right in the end and now he had to tell her how sorry he was for what he did to her “I should fix all of this by talking to her” he said making his father smile and nod to his son as then all there phones rang making them all come out confused.
Raph called… the woman had attacked with her son and badly wounded Jas… police came to arrest them but he took her to the sewers…
They all rushed to the lab to get things ready as Leo called to let them know Raph arrived while carrying Jas in his arms, she was bleeding badly and would need a transfusion to save her life… to there luck Rosa was O negative so she would be alright to give blood to Jas, Donnie began to examine the main source of the blood and found it on her right side “I need a dish of warm water to clean the wound so I can see if the bullet from what I can tell is still there” he explained making Mikey quickly get what his brother needed as Splinter got the transfusion prepared while Leo helped to change her as Raph got a change of clothes for Jas… the girl looked to be trying to stay awake but was fighting a loosing battle sadly “It’s alright. I’m going to put you to sleep so you don’t feel any of this” Donnie whispered as she dozed making him then have Leo help by cleaning the wound as Donnie got what her needed to get to the bullet and remove it “Leo, I’m going to need you to keep the clean wet cloth by the wound to collect any blood that might spill out since I need to see what I’m going to be doing” he explained making him nod “Raph, this is very important and while it’s going to be slightly outside what you get… I need you to get a few things from the pharmacy… were low on gauze and were going to need more things” he explained making Raph nod as he brother handed him a list “Take Mikey with you though, it’s what you need with a simple description of what it looks like” he added making the two nod and leave the lair to get to work. Hours went by for the surgery to save Jasmine’s life… but they did it and now it was all up to her in order to wake up, of course they each took turns watching over her and also make sure she was doing alright in the first place by keeping the blood pumping in her veins and keeping the bag full for her drip “I’m really sorry” Donnie spoke, it was his turn to watch over her while the others were out, Rosa at the junkyard to try and find things they needed or wanted, Leo went to the pharmacy to get a few things while Raph and Mikey went for the groceries… Splinter of course was there but he was meditating at the moment “I didn’t want to make you think you did anything wrong… I just didn’t want to disappoint you when you found out you were talking to me through the notes and calls” he explained as he looked down at his hands. “But I’m going to fix things, this time I won’t ignore you. I’ll talk to you from now on and face the facts no matter what happens” he decided as he looked her over before walking out to help Rosa with what she found “Let me just wash my hands first and then I’ll take over” she explained making him nod and go back to his lab to but everything on his desk, he smiled to Rosalina as she walked in to then sit by Jasmine and make sure she was doing well “Do you plan on talking to her when she wakes up?” she asked making Donnie look over from his work and nod “Yeah, after what Raph and sensei said… when she wakes up I’m going to talk to her and see how things will go from there” he explained making her smile and nod “That’s a good thing… I think she’ll just feel relief when she finds out why you were keeping away from her” she explained making him nod as he then got back to work as Raph came in to ask Rosa to help Mikey put everything away while he takes over. Of course he watched his brother for a moment, then turned back to Jas as she slept making him wonder how she was doing at the moment from her injury as he then moved to clean it and change the bandages she wore “How high are the chances she gets an infection?” he asked making Donnie stop and walk over to see the wound slowly healing “Very low actually, since you did bring her quickly over, made sure no sewer water got on it and since we acted quickly I’m guessing there are no chances for her to get an infection” he explained making Raph nod as he finished his work making Donnie smile and go back to his desk to work “Got any idea what there making?” Donnie asked making Raph turn to look at him “Not really… he did order a few things but I’m not sure about everything he got” Raph explained as Leo walked in with what he got making Donnie move to put everything away with a thank you for Leo making there brother check Jas and then left them alone “I’ll go see what there cooking” he said making them nod as he then left them be. “How are you doing Raph?” Donnie asked making his brother think for a moment before understanding the question he was just asked now “I can feel fear and anger now from what I just saw with Jas… her getting shot I mean before I left” he explained making Donnie look at him in shock… Raph was able to feel anger from the fight he had with Donnie before he left to go after Jas and then her getting shot “So two more now?” Donnie asked making Raph think for a moment before shaking his head “I was sad when she got hurt, when I first got into the sewers with her in my arms… I was sad I couldn’t go in and protect her” he said making Donnie nod in understanding, they were still working on helping Raph feel again and they all believe that very soon he would be back to his old self feeling everything once again making him smile and nod to his brother as he got back to his work while Raph watched over Jasmine’s sleeping form at the moment, Raph decided to make some coffee for a nice little break so Donnie took over until someone comes over to take over from him. It was then that she began to move, it surprised Donatello a bit as he called for Rosalina to help him, she quickly rushed over to help get what they needed to examine Jas, the girl’s eyes began to flutter open as her head tilted to the side to look at the two in the lab at the moment “How do you feel?” Rosa asked, Donnie of course slowly helped her to sit up “It stings on my side” she said making Rosa look it over as Jasmine began to explain what she could remember from the event, miss Miles appeared out of nowhere with her son demanding once again for her son to be put back into the group so once again Jasmine pointed out the things her son agreed to with her and ignored and then pointed out that everyone agreed on him to be kicked out… so miss Miles pulled a gun out and pointed it at her once again demanding the same thing of Jasmine would be killed, people were watching and Jasmine pointed it out… saying if she pulled the trigger her son would loose his mother to jail and she pulled it. “I remember hearing screaming, miss Miles laughed saying she would now take the group over and kick everyone out and have her son and his friends in. Raph shouted in anger as he then grabbed him and got me out of there as I heard police sirens” she explained which told them everything that happened, Donnie did look into it and miss Miles was at the police station with her son being questioned and weren’t allowed to leave until Jas came in to be questioned making them both claim she was dead and they weren’t getting answers of any kind “Rosa will take you to the police station to be questioned on the event. If they ask where you were this whole time, tell them you had friends who cared for you this whole time” Donnie said making her look at him and nod simply as she was brought out of the lab to get cleaned up making Donnie wonder if she hated him in the end “Hey” he turned to find Leo there “You did good, you spoke to her at last” he said making Donnie sigh but still nodded to his words “But she didn’t say a thing, didn’t even react to my words as she left the lab for the bathroom” he said making Leo smile softly “Give her some time… she might surprise you” he responded and then left for the kitchen. Donnie joined them not long after, he didn’t want to stay in there for Jasmine to find him and maybe do the same April did to him… he simply wasn’t all that sure and just sat there waiting for her to come out and see what might happen next, Rosa and Jas then came out only for the injured girl to walk towards the couch to sleep “She said she was tired” Rosa explained making them nod while Donnie looked at her with a sad look and then looked away as Mikey set food down for them to enjoy together, they ate and lightly spoke together about everything and anything while Jas at times turned to a side or slightly moved in her sleep making Donnie watch her whenever she made even a little bit of noise “Don” he turned to see Leo looking at him “Give her some time, she might surprise you when you least expect it” he said making Donnie nod as Leo then walked away for his room with Donnie then looking back to where Jas was still sleeping at the moment. He slowly walked over to her, he got the blanket that was on the recliner and moved to cover her with it so to keep warm… and found her holding a note in her hands, quietly he took hold of it and finished covering her with the blanket and went to his lab to read it, he found it a little odd for her to be holding a note while she was sleeping… and he wondered if she was waiting for someone to come over to take it from her as she slept or something, with a shake of his head he unfolded the note to read it… his eyes widen as he then smiled at what he was reading before looking up to find Jasmine peaking her head to be seen even when she was laying on the couch making him nod as she smiled in return, nodded and laid back down to sleep as he then placed the note with the other notes he kept from her “It’s nice to finally be able to put a face on mystery man… can we go on a date after the police and I’m healed?” she had written on the piece of paper… and he couldn’t wait for her to be fully healed for there date to happen.

Donnie watched Jas, she was now recovered yes and she has now given a statement against miss Miles for shooting her… but he worried about her injuries, they were still healing and he worried each time he saw her wincing from some pain she was in from them “You don’t need to research her injury Don, the bullet wound will heal with time” Leo claimed making Donnie sigh as he then closed any new tabs connected to bullet wounds “I just want to help her heal faster” he explained as Mikey walked over “Dudes? Wouldn’t Jas just tell you? Like if she was in really big pain or if she went to see a doctor for medication?” Mikey asked as Rosa thought about it for a moment “Mikey’s right. A doctor could look at the injury and if she told him she was in pain, he would prescribe her medication for it and to help it scar faster” she explained making them sigh.
But Donnie still couldn’t stop worrying about her…
He had to talk to her, last time they talked was on the couch about how once she was healed a bit more they would go on their date, so he every right to be worried about her and wanting to find out about her injury from miss Miles “Hey! I’m back” they turned to Jas slowly going over the bars and then joining them at the diner table “Hey! How was going back to your group?” Leo asked making her smile as she sat down “Good, everyone was worried about me of course and asked about that would happen with the Miles. But for now, I couldn’t tell them much since I need to go to court against them for their actions on me” she explained as they nodded to her words “Right the whole, thing with her kid not following what they agreed to thing?” Raph asked as he came over to join them. “By the way… what did they agree to?” Rosa asked making Jas pull out a contract that showed miss Miles and her son Richard Miles signatures “This contract states the following I always tell both the parents and child, that the child they put into my group must come on time when he or she signs up. If they fail to come on time they must explain to me the reason and show proof which Richard never did, if you can’t come for the next meeting you must use my number and call me to inform me in advance that you cannot make it… another thing Richard never did” she explained to them, it was obvious that the Miles weren’t following what they both signed and were showing no respect towards Jas “When with the group, all members must work. We usually plan activities or plan to go somewhere together and in order for everyone to go, everyone had to do something to help and since Richard never helped, he was always out of our trips” she said making them nod. She then sighed as she looked down “As for his mother, she had to be available for me to call. But when I do call about her son she never answers or responds to my calls. Instead, she calls to order me to stop calling or she would call the police for harassment from me… because of all this I emailed the other members and parents of the group for an emergence meeting on Richard and what I should do… everyone agreed he needed to be kicked out so I did and his mom claimed I did wrong and threatened me” she explained making them all then understand what the whole court thing was going to be about… the Miles actions on Jasmine and breaking the contract they signed and promised to follow, it would be a big thing and they all needed to show Jas that they support her through everything “Anyways I need to clean my wound right now” she said and began to slowly stand up “I’ll help you” Donnie said making her nod as they went to his lab. “He’s still stressing over her” Raph sighed making them all turn to him, out of all of them… while he still didn’t feel everything, he knew certain things happening around him and how he should react to it, even so he did his best to express himself and to regain his emotions “She’s in pain from the wound” he said before going to his room making the gang look at one another meanwhile… Donnie had Jas lift her shirt so he could remove the bandages around her waist to clean the wound and then wrap it back up “Did it bleed?” he asked “No, it doesn’t sting when I get clean also… just hurts a bit when I move my body in a certain way” she explained making him nod in understanding. He sighed, he worried this might happen, something was making it so she was still in pain from the injury he gained… and he knew he couldn’t do anything until the whole court thing was over at last “I promise to treat it once that woman is punished for her actions” he said making her smile and nod, the first few days after she woke up from being shot… she needed help at all times to move around, it was horrible at times watching her cry in the night because she’s in pain, Donnie still remembered the times he had to help her out of the sewers and towards the police station or to the court so to talk about what happened… and her begging him to stop so she could rest from the pain she was in from moving around. “I just want it all to be done with” she mumbled making him nod “And it will, you have so much proof on them that will punish them both for there actions… but you just need to be strong” he said making her nod in understanding, of course he helped her with the proof, she told him what she had on them, pictures, videos, even messages they sent or left her with demands while not understanding why she couldn’t make exceptions for her son, she made rules for a reason and they needed to be followed at all times no matter what happens “It still hurts when I’m sleeping… like the bullet is still there when I know it’s out” she explained making him look at her in slight surprised to her sudden words. “Can I take a look? I have what I need to scan inside” Donnie explained making her nod and lay down as he then got to work, he began to scan and while the bullet wasn’t there… he did notice something else inside “She must have done something to the bullet so while it’s removed… something will be left there to harm you” he explained making her nod as he turned it off “I’ll need to perform surgery on you to remove whatever it is” he then said making her nod again “I trust you Donnie” she smiled as she spoke making him smile in return as he left the lab to tell everyone “I need to operate on Jas again” he said making Leo look at his brother with worry “What happened?” he asked as Rosa stood and rushed to the lab to prep everything “Miss Miles tampered with the bullet, something was on it and when we removed the bullet… whatever was on it was left behind” he explained making them nod in understanding as he went to the lab. Jas was out like a light when Donnie came in to begin, he also wrote down that possible fact and made a mental note to take pictures of what he would find “We need to be quick and steady… who knows what will find” he said making Rosa nod as she began to help him, outside the lab Leo watched the door while holding Mikey close to him, of course it was normal since he was the most sensitive to injuries that were bad if get’s worse after some point, Raph did come out of his room a little later to sit with them since he did hear Donnie talk about something left behind from the bullet “Will she be alright?” Mikey asked making Leo look at him for a moment “She’s tough, there’s no way she would give up like that” he said making Mikey nod and smile towards his brother as Raph watched as the lab door opened to let out Rosa who looked to be relieved about the whole situation. “She’s going to be fine, I’m just a little surprised at how she was able to not get worse in her condition” she explained making them look at her with worry “What was it?” Leo asked as Rosalina slowly moved to sit on the couch with a sigh “Glass shards… but they were filthy so we figured she wanted Jas to have some internal bleeding or an infection… which ever happened first to kill her” she explained making them gasp in shock at her words, Mikey was shivering in terror of what he was told so Rosa moved to hold him close “Donnie told me to go while he finished up patching her” she said making Leo nod as he then looked towards the closed lab door “Let’s just hope this is done with that insane woman for good” he whispered without looking to see if anyone heard him or not. Jasmine woke up about an hour later, Donnie was making sure she was stable the whole time, and of course he moved to her side with worry all over his face “Do you feel any pain right now?” he asked making her smile and shake her head “I’m fine Donnie I promise you that much” she replied making him sigh in relief to her words, slowly he helped her to sit up “Let’s get you slowly to the couch where you can rest and be in our reach” he said making her nod as they slowly walked out of the lab and to the couch making the gang get up to see her, Rosa had just left for home and promised to be back the next day to bring things they were running out of and what they would need to care for Jas. “She needs to lay down here, Mikey can you make her something to eat that’s easy on the stomach? Raph try and see if you can find one of the med kits around the lair and bring it over so she can take some painkillers. Leo I need you to find the extra pillows and our winter blankets” he ordered and the turtles knew that when Donnie ordered around… it was because of something medical, they nodded and got to work, Leo propped Jas up with the pillows and Donnie’s winter blanket, Raph was still looking for a med kit while Mikey was making some porridge for Jas “You’ll need to get some rest for a while, I don’t want you to open the injury so please ask for us when you need something” he explained to her as she nodded “Donnie don’t worry… I promise I’ll do as you say” she replied making him sigh in relief to her words. Raph came over with the pills “Were almost out” he said making Donnie nod as Mikey came over with the porridge “I’ll text Rosa about it than” he said making Donnie nod in understanding “It would help… if she can find some that are good but not expensive” he requested making Mikey nod and walked to the kitchen so to clean up what he cooked up and put away the leftovers he had “How long will Jasmine need to rest Don?” Leo asked making his brother think for a moment “It will depend I think… maybe at least two or three days?” he said which Leo didn’t seem to mind “Just as long as she’s able to report everything to the police” he said making Jas and Don nod in understanding as Leo went to the dojo to tell there father everything that just happened… as it was certain he would want to know about it “Why don’t you eat and then take the medicine? It will help deal with the pain you’re in right now” Don explained making Jasmine smile and nod “That would be nice thank you” she replied making him smile as Donatello moved to help her eat the porridge. “I wonder what it will take for them to be taken away” Jas mumbled as she ate her meal, Donatello knew what she meant by that… miss Miles and her son Richard did cause Jasmine a bunch of trouble and right now she just want justice to be brought down upon them for everything they did to her from the moment they discovered her group “I’m sure that once you show them the contract and pretty much everything they agreed upon including the messages his mother left you… they will loose any chance they had at getting away with it” he said making her smile to him as she finished her meal and then took her medicine, she slowly began to drift away to slumber while Donatello watched over her “How is her condition?” Splinter asked making Donnie quickly look up to his father. “She’s slowly healing. Right now she’s sleeping from the medication I gave her so maybe in a day or more she’ll be able to move around and go to the police station” he explained making his father nod to his words knowing it was best to wait, he nodded at that moment “Please make sure her injury doesn’t get worse” he said making Donnie nod as he then watched Splinter walk away to get back to the dojo, Miki came over with some water “I thought you might be thirsty” he explained making Don smile to his brother “It won’t be long until Raph and Leo find someone like we did” he said making Mikey chuckle “Yeah, I’m sure the one they will find is going to help them like Rosa and Jas do for us” he explained making Donnie think about that for a moment before nodding. Even so, Leo didn’t look willing to meet someone just yet and Raph… Raphael was still trying to work with his emotions again so it makes sense that he wouldn’t be up to meet someone right now, of course it will take time before those two try to find a special someone of their own… but Donatello knew for certain that soon enough those two will meet a person they will love and want to be with “Let’s just hope for the best of them” he said making Mikey sigh “Do you think Raph will end up with a guy again? Or will he crush on a girl this time?” he asked making Donnie think about it for a moment “It depends on him really… well, it’s more up to him on being with a guy or a girl” he explained making Michelangelo groan all of a sudden “I just wish I could help him… it was my fault I found out that Casey and Shinigami were secretly together all this time without either of us knowing” he explained which made Donnie sigh. “For now, I really want to make sure Jasmine is healing well. Because of that I’ll be busy for a few days caring for her” he explained while looking at her sleeping face “As for what you claimed. It’s not true, you didn’t know they would be there when you were coming home so it’s not your fault, plus when you told on them you had no idea Raph would be there” Donnie explained and as he spoke he could see clearly that his words were hitting home for Mikey and helping him very well with all of this happening right now “Just remember that it wasn’t your fault… you didn’t know any of this would happen. It’s there fault for being there of all places” Donnie then said making Mikey nod as he stood up “I’m gonna make diner now” his brother said as he headed for the kitchen making his brother nod and turn back to Jas who was still sleeping at the moment from the medicine.
All he could really think about right now… was if Jas would be better soon so she could reveal to the police what the Miles did to her…
And just like he thought only a few days were needed before she was up and about… well a week really but it was fine and so she and Rosa headed for the police station “I shouldn’t be long… but I’ll text you when I leave” Jas said making Donnie nod to her words as the girls left, of course Donnie then quickly headed to his lab because Raph was waiting there, Mikey during this time was watching Leo cooking something he learned with Rosa making him smile as he walked in “What do you want to talk about Raph?” he asked and was surprised when his brother looked a little panicked “Casey texted me” he whimpered making him rush over as Raph handed him his phone, the text was pretty simple, he missed him and wanted them to get back together, Shinigami was a mistake just that kind of stuff “You know he’s going to hurt you again at some point” Donnie said as Raph nodded “That’s I gave you my phone, I need you to change my number and give it to the others… that way he can’t contact me” Raph explained making Donnie think for a moment… it was a good idea, but it wouldn’t help him with his situation with Casey at all. “Are you sure this is what you want? You will need to face him at some point” he said making Raph look at his brother in shock “I… need to… face him?” he asked in surprise as Donnie nodded “Yes you do, we all need to face them at some point in our lives to fully move on from everything they did to us” he explained making Raph sigh and look down… he was right, like always Donnie was right “I don’t want to though” he mumbled as Donatello sighed… knowing full well what he meant by that “Why don’t we change subject… and talk about something else? Like with Mikey? What do you feel from him telling Casey and Shinigami were cheating?” he asked making Raph look at him in shock… he thought Mikey was over that by now… they were alright now… right? “I was alright… I mean I found it strange when Casey cancelled on me often but when Mikey said that… it simply made sense” he explained making Donnie nod in understanding, this kept going on for a while until it was time to eat, Donnie looked at the time on his phone and found that Jas had texted him about it being over… more info when she get’s back with Rosa with some food for them, he smiled and let the others know… who also smiled at his and decided to wait for them to return “What do you think happened? What if someone accused her of something and it’s not true!?” Mikey panicked as Donnie sighed “Jas has the members of her group and files, videos, messages and texts to prove that the Miles are dangerous… she’ll win this no problem” Donnie said as they turned to find the two girls walking into the lair. “Hey guys! Were back with some Mexican food for you guys to try!” Jas said making them smile in excitement to this food they would try, Donnie walked over and helped Jas sit down with them making her smile “So how did it go?” Leo asked making her sigh “The Miles had a lawyer, he claimed that I shot myself but what the police saw and the people around us saw… it was a failed attempt so she was charged for attempted murder. Then there was the claims I was harsh on Richard from the very start and I was attacking them… but the emails, texts and files I had made the lawyer panic and try to strike a deal” she explained making them look at one another and then back to her “He went to speak with them… turns out what I had out so far could put her years in jail and Richard could be sent somewhere far… he came back with a deal, 5 thousand dollars, them moving away without contact to me and I drop everything… but then I should the video… said this will get me more then what he offered and refused” she then said and it made there eyes widen in shock. “Police say that if brought to court, miss Miles will be sent to jail for a really long time with no chances of release anytime soon while her son with be sent back to live with his father in England. Turns out when she gave birth to Richard she then fled with him so the father doesn’t see his son for some unknown reason… but now he’s leaving and she’s not seeing him ever again” she finished making them look at her in surprise to her words as she sighed “The court thing will be next month… so for now I’m leaving everything here just to be safe so no one tries to destroy it or steal it so the Miles can get away with there actions” Jas said making Leo nod as Donnie took everything “They’ll be in my lab just to be safe” he said making her smile and nod to him as he went to his lab to put it all away right now so they can eat “I got a few things I thought you might want to try so let me know what you think!” Rosa explained making them begin to eat. Donnie woke up feeling warm, looking down he smiled to the sight of Jas laying there on top of him, after they ate, it was decided for them to watch a few movies, then during the second movie Jas fell asleep so Donnie decided to turn in for the night with her in his arms, he was so happy to have her in his life… better then April that’s for sure, now that he thought about it… she hasn’t been in contact with them since he refused to reply her first letter to contact them, it was odd but it made sense as he then remembered the plan for there first date… he really wanted to do now so why not while the others were still asleep? They could go to Murakami and get some food while they eat together… then again, it’s a little cliché so he decided to wait until she wakes up to plan something out, but then… something struck him… and it was perfect for their date. Jas woke up alone and in Donnie’s bed, it was a little strange but she didn’t mind since she was happy to be with him and all that… then she saw the note on the pillow beside her head, Donnie wrote this but she found it odd that he would ask her to go out of the lair… and even more odd when there was another note telling her where to get out of the sewers, every place she went to… another note was there telling her where to go next which she found so odd but even so… she followed them to find Donnie on a roof “Why the notes?” she asked as she joined him as he smiled to her “That’s we talked at first remember? By sending each other notes” he said making her sigh as she felt stupid for forgetting that important fact as she smiled to him, looking at the sky she then gasped as how amazing the stars looked that night… especially with the fact that Donatello brought food for them to enjoy while they were out there right now. They were out there for hours, only until the sun began to come out… they then left for the sewers with smiles on their faces, of course Donnie worried his father would be mad at him for leaving the lair like that but… he could only hope sensei was still sleeping, they were surprised when no one was up when they walked in… so they quickly but quietly went to his room to sleep for a bit before the others begin to wake up… which would lead to them needing to wake up too, but even so… going on the roof to look at the stars for their first date… was very much worth it if they were to have been caught… they were lucky when no one figured it out at all that they had left during the night for a long time… even when Splinter watched Donnie set up the notes, before Jas woke up he placed them in her view to find… he didn’t punish his son for the date Splinter knew his son had been excited for some time.

Leo never thought he would find love, he always believed to watch his brother’s be happy and in love while he died alone, and yet… he couldn’t help but wish he had the same thing once again, it didn’t work with Karai as she left him and dated someone else… and now he wanted to try again, so one night he went out to the surface to get some fresh air, he was happy for Donnie and Mikey finding there new girlfriends now and being so happy with them and Raph was now better, no longer were his emotions locked up… he was better and able to react like he should. He was sitting on a rooftop, just looking at the stars up in the sky, he wished they were at the farmhouse right now… it would really feel good to them having the sun on there skin and be so warm, a soft breeze on him with the fresh air to breath instead of the pollution made in the city… he missed this so much and sighed as he looked down to the city ground thinking about how he was going to be alone in the end no matter what he tries to do, as he was just about to get moving back to the lair… he hears it, someone was signing somewhere in New York city, he wanted to try and figure out who it was as from what he could hear it was a girl who was singing. He began to quickly move towards the singing, he had to find this person singing right now, this singing was amazing and he just needed to see what she looked like… then the singing stopped, did he pass by her? Did she head inside for the night? But then the singing started once again, this time it was a different song, he got back to running to find her… he couldn’t miss this, he had to see her singing up close… while not allowing her to see what he looks like. It was then that he at last found her, after some running, he got her, her hair was long and blue… did she dye it or something but that can’t be right? Her skin was tanned and her red eyes there were just something he could fall into, she was gorgeous… but then again, he couldn’t get close to her no matter what he hoped, but she was amazing with her singing, the girl looked to be looking over something on her phone as she mumbled under her breath making him wonder what she was up to as he waited and watched her as she moved around on the roof… and then she sang once again. Leo then understood who she was, Anemone Louma went missing three days before her wedding day, no one knew what happened or she vanished but her parents believed she was kidnapped… but from the look of it Anemone didn’t get taken, she took herself out of there and ran away, and now these four guys were trying to get her back there… and he was the only one who could protect her from that, he waited a bit to see what the four of them would try to do “Come on Parker! We need to grab her and go! Then we can do this” the fourth one said making Anemone turn to see the third one about the grab her… but nothing happened. She was shocked to see a figure of green and blue, she had never seen something like that so when the figure moved around to knock out all four guys… she felt like he was her hero, once they were down the figure turned to look at her… all she saw was a giant green turtle with blue eyes… she wondered what he was and how he became the way he is right now, they looked at one another for a moment and it felt for the both of them like time had frozen for them all of a sudden, neither of them knew of what to say to the other and they simply stared at one another… until one of the four began to move and groan “Let’s go” the turtle said as he grabbed Anemone, got her on his shell and he left with her for another safer location, Anemone was in shock at how quick he moved… and he didn’t even know who she was and she also didn’t know who he was either making them complete strangers to one another. He took her a few buildings away, he hoped it would be good enough to keep those guys away for now, then again that might have been where she lived “Is that where you live?” he asked and sadly she nodded “I could… take you to where I live, you would be safe until you can figure something out” he said making Anemone smile and nod to his plan, of course it was obvious she would need to keep quiet about his home because she was certain that no one knew about him “Wait, what about… my stuff? If I’m staying at your place… I need a few things for myself” she said as he stopped and turned to look at her with a smile “It’s fine, two of my brother’s have girlfriends who at times stay over so they leave a few things behind” he explained making her nod in understanding. So she might be alright in the end, she won’t need to go to her place… but maybe she could ask one of the two girls to go to her place to get her a few things and to care for her dog, she had gotten the sweet boy only a week ago and he was still getting used to her and the place… she hoped nothing bad happened to him, even so she allowed herself to be taken to his home as she looked around as they landed in an alley… and went towards a manhole cover “The sewers… you live in the sewers?” she asked making him nod, there wasn’t anything else said after that… they simply went into the sewers together and headed to his home in dead silence, thought Anemone wanted to know more “I guess you already know my name is Anemone Louma right? But what about you? What’s your name?” she asked making Leo stop all of a sudden. He turned around and smiled to her softly, his heart was hammering in his chest at how close she was to him right now, he didn’t know what to do anymore since her scent was all around him at the moment, he could smell her shampoo and the body wash she uses as he blinked to focus “It’s Leonardo Hamato” he said making her nod as she whispered softly his name to remember, he held in a grin and simply focused on walking her to the lair… he couldn’t let her know about the grin or anything like that, he might wish to be with her but right now he had to focus on keeping her safe from her parents and anyone else who wanted to send her back to her parent’s home. Once they arrived, Leo suggested she took a shower “I think Jas is here so I can ask her if you could borrow some of her clothes until Rosa arrives” he said making her nod as he guided her to the bathroom, she took a step in before he spoke again “I’ll let the other’s know that you’re here and to not come into the bathroom right now” he said and then walked away, with that taken care of Ane walked in and closed the door to get undressed and into the water to clean up herself… after what just happened… she was gonna need it real bad right now, as she got under the water Leo went to tell his family about there new guest and what happened, he then asked Donnie to look further into Anemone’s missing person case, then he turned to Jas and asked her if she could lean anything to Ane “Leave it to me! I’m sure I have something that will fit her” she said and headed into Donnie’s room to look. Leo smiled, he looked over to Mikey who was in the kitchen while on the phone with Rosalina and then to Donnie over in the lab looking into Anemone while Jas smiled to him before getting to work… they were both so happy, and he then turned to Raph who looked nervous for some reason… could it be that he was worried that he might not find anyone to love him? He shakes his head at the thought of that, no Raph was going to meet someone special for him to be with and it would all turn out fine, he was certain of it… but he didn’t know for certain if Anemone would be interested in him at all, so he would need to try and get to know her first and see how that goes for now, Jas during this time had just lightly knocked on the bathroom door as Anemone was drying her hair with a towel wrapped around her body “Hi! I’m just going to leave you some clothes to change into” Jasmine said and then walked away. Ane opened the door to peek out to find a few options making her pick it up and go back inside to try something on, turns out she was a little smaller then whoever brought her there clothes, once done, she picked up her clothes in one hand and carried what was brought to her in her other arm, once she got to the main area, she quickly found Leo as he was walking over to her “Let met give Jasmine her clothes back, I’ll help you with you clothes in a sec” he said making her smile and nod as she handed him the clothes she was left to try, he walked away as then another girl walked into the lair with a few bags that she began to hand out to those who live in the lair before going to the kitchen where an orange masked turtle was at the moment. Ane didn’t know where to go all of a sudden until there was a faint tap on her shoulder, she turned to see another girl “I see my clothes fit you” she said making Ane nod while the girl noticed what she was holding in her hand “Let me take care of your clothes” she offered and Anemone felt cared for the first time since she was born and escaped her parents “Thank you” she replied making the girl nod “I’m Jasmine by the way” and with that said, Jasmine walked away to take care of the clothes she was holding, Anemone then walked over to the couch without even knowing if she could do that in the first place, Leo then walked over “How do you feel?” he asked making her smile as his brother’s and the two girls walked over. Leo got to work on presenting Anemone to his three little brother’s, to Rosalina and then Jasmine “I know who she is, I met her earlier after you left” she explained making Leo turn to Jas who nodded to confirm her answer, he smiled and then explained what he saw tonight to the group “But Anemone, I don’t understand why your not telling your parent’s that your still in New York and your fine” he explained making her look down in shame “Because I don’t want them to control me again” she replied and then explained to them everything, her life, her clothes, her routine, the men meetings “And now they decided who I was to marry. No school or college, instead I need to marry I guy older than me and have his kids while staying at home to raise them while he does who knows what at work” she explained as they looked at her in shock. “That’s what I am to my parents, a trophy for them to show to the world and talk about while keeping it polished to shine to them before handing it to some guy I don’t know anything about or ever met to do whatever he wants to it without a care in the world of what it might become in the end” she said as she looked down “That’s why I left, to escape there control and to do what I want in life without them saying what I should wear, what I should do, what I need to say or who I can talk to… so I could simply be me and discover what I really wanted to do in life and who I wanted to become with better options that my parents can’t decide on for me” she finished making them nod to her in understanding, they had then agreed to have her stay with them at the lair until she could to a new location where she would be safer from people who trying to bring her back to her parents for the money there offering for her return… that she really doesn’t want to have happen right now, so with that during the day, the two girls will head over and collect her clothes and other things to take to the lair while letting the boys know what to come get at night. It takes about a week before the group who came at her that night reveal to the public where Ane was living… making the police, journalists, paparazzi, her parents and the guy they wanted her to marry were at the building begging her to come out so they could all get going, the landlord came out and told them to leave before a restraining order is placed on them, so when her parents reveal that there daughter lives there and says her name the landlord replies “Anemone? The girl moved out the day after those four lunatic boys broke in to try and kidnap her to get more money out of you… said something about moving away from New York” and then went inside, the apartment she was living in was being put to sale and so her parents then went national asking for anyone to help find their daughter. Anemone during this time was keeping hidden, since she didn’t want to be found just yet and all that… she thought it was best to simply wait out in the lair until it was safe for her to go out again, so with that, the girls went out for her to get some info and what was going on outside the sewers while the boys went out at night for patrol… and also see what her parents were doing in the end, so far nothing was happening with them, they were mostly out doing something or other times they would be in bed so there was nothing for them to do other then come back over at another time with the hopes of it being the time they see them doing something. Also… Leo and Ane were getting close to one another, they would talk often together just so he could not only know her better but also to get info about her parents and any person they know, thanks to her info that she was more then happy to give him, they were also able to make a few pit stops to check out a few people to see what they were doing, so far most of them couldn’t believe that people were actually willing to keep Anemone to get more money from her parents while other’s believed that her parents are hiding something big about there daughter, still it wasn’t the info they needed right now so Leo kept going… and then he hit the jackpot thanks to Anemone’s apparent fiancé she was forced to marry. The man was older then her that much was easy to tell, but he was with another young woman… who looked to be married, from the audio Donnie was able to collect… she was married to him and they were planning to kill Anemone after her parents were killed to get her family fortune, in the end, he hated the Louma family because they destroyed the reputation of his mother’s family line years ago by refusing to marry his fifth great-grand-mother who was carrying the Louma family heir… she ended up ending her life and killing the unborn child with her… Leo wanted to kill the guy but he had better plans for now about that guy… and he didn’t plan to show mercy on him with what he was about to do… three days later, a TV station got an anonymous tape from an unknown source showing the truth on Anemone’s fiancé, the reporter confirmed that the tape wasn’t edited or tampered with and then played it… revealing his plan to kill the Louma family for their money and properties. In a matter of minutes he was arrested with his wife who admitted to being part of the plan, once he married Anemone, she had to dress as Ane’s main servant and care for her, after a while she was to mess with her drinks to make Ane get sick… then slowly as it get’s worse she switches to poison to kill her during the night, the two were arrested and sent to jail, the guy’s money and property were announced to now belong to Anemone, all she had to do was go meet the judge to confirm it was her’s… her parent’s weren’t allowed to go in her place, so with that Leo took her two nights later to meet the judge and have it confirmed and then revealed in the paper. Her parent’s quickly went on the news, they claimed they had no idea about the man’s plans at all and begged for her to come home now, Anemone watched the whole thing before walking away to her room, once in her room there was silence in the lair since Mikey turned the TV off at that moment, none of them knew what she was thinking of doing right now, the fact that they were still trying to have her return home to them… they had no idea on what her parents might try to do, Leo was certain her parent’s had something in mind so he decided that night to secretly go spy on them to get answers, he believed that the reason they were out during the day and in bed or out at night was because they didn’t really care about there daughter… only trying to keep an image of themselves. He confirmed his belief when he saw them talking about the money and expansions they would get now that Anemone took claim of it from the man she was to marry… he now had proof of how much they care about themselves, he snuck inside and recorded their conversation of what they could do with what Anemone claimed… even when it was all under her name and they can’t do what they want with it, once he got enough info he went back home and into his room with the plan of destroying Ane’s parent’s lives for what they wanted to do with what belongs to Ane and no one else… he wasn’t going to let them get away with it. It took a few days before Leo was able to send it to a TV news station, he explained that this will show the Louma couple’s true colors and thoughts on there missing daughter Anemone, the reporter accepted to review it before airing it and about an hour or so later… the audio was revealed and people were pissed towards Anemone’s parents for what they did all this time, they thought they knew the couple so well… only to be wrong and tricked by them all this time… they all went after the two, and in a matter of days… the two lost everything, they no longer had money, there company now belongs to Anemone and they lost everything that belongs to them… they tried to get into there daughter’s accounts but were refused as Ane called the back to tell them to not ever let her parents in her account. This caused them to get arrested, Ane then felt free and revealed to the public that she ran away after her parents revealed to her that they were forcing her to marry and older man… she explained she was taking over her parents work but this time was doing it the right way, she then bought a house to live in and as a thank you made sure the Hamato family and the girls had a key to go inside “It’s my way of saying thank you, and to show you that you have a safe place to live in if something bad happens at the lair” she explained making them all nod… and Leo took this key and used it often… maybe a bit too often. Ane would often come home to find the place cleaned up, or even to a cup of tea prepared for her after a stressful day of work, she often enjoyed these little things and was always thankful of Leo’s actions, other times she would find him at her home working on something and he didn’t want his brother’s to see it so he simply worked on it at her place… she didn’t mind at all and often allowed him to stay the night until he was finished making him thank her for being so nice and generous with this, there was times when Leo would arrive and find something for him to eat she made or even a little something she bought for him to have at some point. With time, Ane began to desire Leo’s company more often, she would at times text or call him to see if he was busy and wanted to come over, she wanted to talk to him and he enjoyed being by her side… so who was he to refuse an invite when given to him? There were other times when he would ask if she wanted to come over to the lair, when that happened she would be happy to see everyone and would talk to them for a bit before heading to Leo’s side… it almost looked like they were dating already to everyone actually, slowly with time they did get closer “Hey Ane? Isn’t the media wondering who your going to marry to have a child to be next to take over?” Donnie asked making Leo look at her in realization, it was true, Ane was expected to be with someone and have later on a child to take over… a human child.
One he couldn’t give her even if she wanted one…
“I mean, I like someone actually, but I haven’t told him yet or even tried to ask him out even though he has a spare key to my place and visits often… I even went to his place a few times” she said making him look at her in surprise, she then pointed out how he saved her life one night and she even met his family… but it didn’t make sense since he was often at her place and she often came over to the lair “He’s very kind too! He makes me tea or does something around my house when I’m not there. Makes me in return do things for him” she explained as Leo thought back to the many times, he came over during the day to clean up the place or do something for her like leaving her some tea or even leave her something to eat. Wait… … oh. …oh! …OH! She was talking about him!!! How could he be so stupid like that to not realize she was talking about him this whole time!? He couldn’t believe it… she liked him? She wanted to be with him… Leonardo Hamato had caught her heart… him, a turtle, a mutant, a freak who might not ever be able to give her a child… but she still loved him either way and that made him so happy, she turned him for a moment to smile and he was really happy to know that she liked him in the end, he wanted to talk to her right then and there… but he believed it was better to wait until they could talk alone instead. He was taking her home when she spoke “I guess I surprised you?” she asked as he nodded but kept his focus on where he was going at the moment “I’m sorry, I was trying to tell you my feelings for a while now… thought that telling everyone like that was a good idea” she explained as he stopped and nuzzled her face… and then began to purr, the sound surprised her completely and she quickly got out of his arms to look at him in surprise “We do that sound to show our affection sometimes” he explained making her try to understand what he said… before going bright red and the fact he was returning her feelings back “So… how about a date tomorrow? I’ll bring over breakfast” he said with a smile as she got back into his arms to giggle and nod.
Things couldn’t get any better for him and Ane… but they can get bad for Raph.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Leo and Ane had been dating for about a week or so now, things were going pretty well too! She was now safe from her parents and the rich life so she could now focus on her dream of becoming a singer, Leo was so happy for her that he enjoyed looking over some of her songs before she goes to record them, there were times when the gang would all get together at her place with how big and secure it was thus making it a secondary home for them to live it if something happens at some point to the lair. Of course this caused changes to the place, a gym for them to workout in, a dojo to spar in, a lab for Donnie to work in… they each had a request here and there but Anemone wasn’t one to refuse, she also worked hard on helping them with there health since they were turtles and as they couldn’t go outside during the day she had bought them a sun lamp to lay under for some sunlight on them, she also prepared them a bathroom that would help them get cleaned where they couldn’t reach at all which was where there shell was, Jasmine and Rosalina also ended up moving into her home after a while, the place was big but they could save up money to buy more stuff they might need in the end. “Should we have a movie date night?” Ane asked, they were alone at the moment, Jas and Donnie were on a date right now just like Mikey and Rosa while Raph was at the lair in his room, with it just being the two of them alone in there huge home… there wasn’t much left to do after they cleaned the place up, prepared a few things for a few meals for the next few days “I don’t see why not? It could be fun… when do you want to do it?” he asked making her smile as she looked at him “Tomorrow night maybe? I’ll go out tomorrow to buy a few things and then we can pick out a few movies to watch” Anemone said with excitement as they then began texting the others about it and how they couldn’t be over tomorrow night. Everyone was okay with it, Raph did however texted in slight worry making Leo wonder what was going on… but then again he was still having a slight hard time after everything he went through so it would make sense, in worry he asked Donnie to check on Raph which his brother agreed to it as this made him worry as well with Jasmine saying she would also keep an eye on him and try to help him out too while Mikey and Rosalina agreed to also watch over Raph “There going to watch over Raph for us tomorrow… I think there also worried now about him with what he texted about the movie date” Leo explained making her nod in understanding. After that everyone came back to get to sleep, the brother’s were staying awake for a bit to talk before going to bed with there girls… minus Raph while the girls all went to bed since they had things to do in the morning, Leo still thought about the text Raph sent him… it sounded like Raph thought it wouldn’t go so well making Leo wonder what his brother was thinking when he sent that… he had to ask him in the morning just to be certain of it all since this didn’t make any sense “I hope he’s alright” he whispered as Ane slowly moved to have her head on his plastron at the moment “I’m sure it’s fine… maybe he’s just worried about something and ended up putting it on you by accident” she replied making him look at her with a kind smile and a nod before they both slowly drifted to sleep until morning. When Leo woke up the next day, Ane was already gone for her work like the other two girls making him head to the kitchen where his brothers were already having breakfast together, Mikey and Donnie were talking about plans for the night while Raph… he looked to be in a daze of some sort at the moment and Leo felt odd about that “Raph? Everything alright?” he asked making his brother look at him and then nod… then went back into a daze, it didn’t make much sense at all and so he decided to try and talk to his brother “Raph? What’s going on with you? And what was with that text you sent me?” he asked making Raph quickly look at his brother in slight surprise. But he didn’t say anything… he was simply quiet, it was like something was going on in his head and he didn’t want anyone to know about it at all, after a while Mikey and Donnie turned to face Raph to try and get some answers “Raph? What’s going on? What are you hiding from us?” Donnie asked making Raph slowly turn pale making them wonder what was going on right now in his head, Raph then quickly bolted away from his brothers making the three go after to figure out what was going on with him “Raph please talk to us!” Leo begged as they caught up to him at that moment with the massive desire for answers. “I can’t deal with this alright!” he claimed before rushing to one of the many bedrooms… specifically the one he claimed as his own, Leo was so lost right now… what did Raph mean by he couldn’t deal with this? What couldn’t he deal with? So many questions were running in his head at the moment… he needed to rest a bit after eating breakfast for now, so after having a simple breakfast, Leo went to his and Anemone’s room to sleep for a bit “What are you thinking about right now Raph?” he asked himself as he slowly drifted to sleep, he thought also about texting Ane about it but considering the fact she was working at the moment… he decided to wait for now and tell her when she gets back later on. By the time he woke up, everyone was out of the place while Ane was setting everything up for there date, he felt bad for not being awake to help her… but knowing Anemone she might have not wanted to wake him up and took care of everything herself because she simply wanted to do it all on her own “You didn’t wake me?” he asked making her smile towards him “You looked so tired, and your brother’s told me what happened with Raph… he’s still in his room by the way, they tried to get him to come out but he refused” she explained making Leo nod in understanding to her words as he then moved to sit on the couch with her. He still wondered what his brother was thinking right now… it didn’t make any sort of sense for him to be like this right now, what did he mean by he couldn’t deal with it? What did he mean by that “I’m going to try talking to him before we start the movie” he said making her smile and nod “Good luck on getting him to talk then Leo” she said making him smile in return as he walked towards his little brother’s room, Leo was still nervous about all of this… why was Raph acting like this all of a sudden? He needs to get some answers right now more then anything as he faced Raph’s bedroom door at long last “Raph? It’s Leo. Please talk to me, I need to understand what you can’t deal with” Leo explained and gained nothing but silence making him sigh. Leo was just about to go back to Ane when he heard it… Raphael unlocked his door so Leo could come in “I’m coming in then” he said and slowly opened the door to walk into his brother’s room, he didn’t expect the room he saw though, it wasn’t filled with training equipment or a drum set… instead there were sketch books and supplies to draw and paint with while Raph sat on his bed “I’ll sit on the floor alright?” he offered as his brother slowly nodded as he watched Leonardo slowly sit on the floor by the door… and then waited for Raph to explain himself at long last “I can’t deal… with the fact I’m not sure if I’m gay or not” he explained in a whisper that Leo could have almost not heard but due to his ninja hearing he did he hear him. “That’s understandable… with everything you have gone through, just take your time in trying to figure out what you prefer… were all here for you no matter what” Leo said softly as Raph looked at him, he wasn’t smiling or looking upset… he was just quiet, thinking everything was good Leo moved to leave the room “If you ever want to talk… I know will listen to you” he then said as he then walked out of the room to join Ane on the couch “How did it go?” she asked with a slight tone of worry in her voice as Leo began the movie “I think it went well, Raph just has a problem with everything that happened to him because of Casey you know?” he explained making her nod. They watched about three movies before they drifted to sleep halfway through the fourth movie… Raph slowly came out of his room at that moment, he was hungry and thirsty so he decided to wait until the two were sleeping before going to the kitchen to feed himself at long last, quietly he moved towards the kitchen to make himself something simply that wouldn’t make any kind of noise that would wake the couple up before walking slowly back towards his room to eat… and then get back out to clean his dishes, he still felt bad though, the fact that he lied to his own brother about what was really going on that he couldn’t deal with… the fact he was admitting to himself that he really was depressed and he was now hearing voices telling him insults about himself and how he should go kill himself right now.
He should have just told the truth to his brother when he had the chance… now who knows what he might do.

Raph could tell his brothers were happy, it made him smile in return… but there was still that little void within him that told him that he too was missing something, thanks to there girlfriends he is able to feel so much… but not love, sure his siblings loved him and does his father… but he can’t return the same feeling, it was something that was very hard on him since his family could tell that something was wrong. They never tried to force Raph to feel love… in fact they only tried to help him and give him their support, at first it was really hard on him since he tried so many times to return the feeling but it wasn’t right to him, but with time he realized that in order to feel love… he needed to experience what his brother’s have each gone through at some point that he has yet to live through… which is why he and his brothers were on the surface right now, not for a patrol but more for a mission.
Raph was going to try and fall in love with someone from a glance…
Of course, it won’t be easy, so many things could happen at some point during the whole thing… which is why his brothers are there with him, so to help him find the right girl to look at in the hopes of falling in love, the girls were walking around to help out a little more into looking for the right possible girl for Raph, the girls were given a list of critiques the girl needed to check before trying to have Raph see her… Jasmine however, wanted to make sure the whole list was checked on the girl before having Raph see her “She needs either the whole list checked or missing one thing that Raph is okay with” she said making the gang including Raph agree. For now, they were still waiting, most of the time the girl only checked a few things or nothing at all, Ane had been close with a girl who was only missing four things on the list while Rosa had one missing six things… it was so hard so the team decided to try again the next day, this kept happening for the next two weeks without any good results… Raph was sadly losing hope on finding love “You can’t give up now Raph!” Rosalina said looking serious “That’s right! If you give up now… that means your giving up on trying to fall in love and feel whole again!” Anemone claimed making Jasmine nod in agreement “You need to keep trying, it will take time yes but soon you will find someone to love like we love each of your brother’s” she explained making him nod to their words as he had a determined look on his face now… this made his brothers happy to know that he isn’t giving up on trying to fall in love with someone. Raph began to think over what he wanted in a girl… and decided to try and get a list of info on a possible girl his brother’s girlfriends think is an option, then they send him the info and it’s up to him to say if he want’s to see her or not, but so far he wanted a break before going out again, they have been going out every night for the last two weeks and Raph simply wanted a small break to rest… his brother’s agreed on the need for a break and so did the girls with there own lives up on the surface that they haven’t gotten back to for a while now… well Rosa and Jas that is since Ane can do anything from the lair without a problem, so she could relax while the other two couldn’t at the moment, Raph felt bad for them but both of them claimed it helped them look at some other girls to report to him while he relaxes at the lair making him smile and thank them for being so kind to him by doing something like this for him.
And then… Jasmine found the girl for him…
It was by a mere fluke, Jasmine had just left her usual group meeting with other autistic people when she walked over, turns out the new member of the group was her sister and she came to pick her up since it was late, from the look of it, the girl looked tired and was barely keeping herself awake… so things must be hard on her, she sent Leo her address so they could locate her and be able to see her in person… but asked that they be careful because she had a bad feeling “It’s like… something bad is happening to her… and no one is trying to reach out to help her” she explained making them nod in understanding to her words. They decided to watch from her work, she promised to let them know when she was there so they could follow her home and see what is happening. Raph was nervous though, anything could happen when he sees her… he just hoped everything goes well in the end, they slowly watched as she arrived, Raph could then tell… that she was perfect for him, her dark grey hair in a braid, her bright green eyes it was all perfect… but there was something about her that made him think there was more to all of her, he had to find out, the girl picked up her sibling and then left, Jasmine looked over to the turtles who quickly left to follow her making Jasmine smile as she was certain everything would be just fine in the end in her mind as she headed inside to finish a few things up before heading for the lair. The turtles followed the two as they walked on to there home, Raph wondered why they weren’t taking a cab or something of the sorts “Why aren’t they taking a taxi? Wouldn’t be faster to get back home?” Mikey asked as Donnie nodded “Maybe something is happening for them?” he suggested making them shrug and got back to following them to there home… to slowly arrive in the more old and abandoned part of the city, this made them wonder why she was coming this way… until she walked into an old abandon building… she was homeless “That has got to suck” Mikey whispered making his brother’s nod while Raph focused on where they were going in the building until she watched them walk out with bags… they were on the run “Let’s follow them” Leo said making them nod and do as told. Raph wondered what was going on? Why were they running? From what where they running? He wanted to know and help them… but for now he would need to watch them in the hopes of getting some answers, so they followed until they got to another building and went inside “Are they… running from something?” Donnie asked as the sister’s went inside to settle for the night, this didn’t make sense… but then a group began walking towards the building… telling them they were after the two girls “Were moving in” Leo ordered making them jump in to battle the gang, they were surprised to them but that was a normal reaction to newb gangs who didn’t know anything, meanwhile Raph rushed into the building to find the two girls to help them escape to get to safety… he hoped they were okay right now though… he didn’t want either of them to be hurt at all so he had to hope for the best “Hello? Are you two girls here?! I’m here to get you somewhere safe! A gang is outside trying to get to you!” he explained as a little girl’s voice called out to him. He quickly moved to find them in an empty apartment room, both looked scared but for now he had to get them to the lair “You need to trust me on where I’m taking you” he explained making them nod, he picked up the little girl while the holder held on to him making him nod to them as he rushed out the window to get to the next roof and began to run to get them to the lair, he quickly texted Leo to say that they were away from the building making him now move because he wasn’t sure how long before the gang would figure things out and run after him, he slowed down as he got near to where the lair was making him enter the alley “We need to go into the sewers” he explained making the two girls nod as he pulled the manhole cover off as they then went down and then he followed, once touching the ground he signaled to them to follow him, it wasn’t long before they got to the lair entrance “Follow me, you can take a shower while we take care of your things and the girls grab you some clean clothes” he explained making them nod as they followed him to the bathroom and then went inside to get cleaned up. He walked off to find Rosalina, Anemone and Jasmine walking over to him “Everything alright?” Rosa asked making him sigh but nod as his answer making them smile, not long after they went to search for some clothes for the two girls, Raph’s brothers came back to the lair making him nod as a greeting, they were relieved that he got to the lair safely “Will need to ask them about that gang and what they wanted from them” Leo explained making Raph nod, later on… the two girls walked out of the bathroom looking clean, the two looked relaxed as they moved to sit with everyone on the couch “We know you both must want some time to sleep but we need to know… why was that gang after you and your sister?” Leo asked making the girl sigh “My name is Novaflor and this… is my daughter Yumi” she explained making their eyes widen. DAUGHTER!? This was her daughter!? “But on the form, you wrote her as your sister!!” Jasmine pointed out making Novaflor nod “It was to protect her, if I write her as my sister, she has my last name and people will look away” she explained as Jasmine relaxed and then nodded in understanding, Novaflor began to explain that her parents took her to see a doctor and had her be put to sleep… what she didn’t know was that at the time they were collecting her eggs so that they could children from them to use to expand there family, Nova found out when Yumi called her mom… making her destroy everything while taking Yumi with her, turns out Yumi was the perfect child so her parents were trying to get her back and kill her so Yumi could take her place. It was disgusting to hear, parents collecting something from there own child to create a child and then tries to get rid of there real child to replace with another? It was just disgusting to them, so they allowed Nova and Yumi to stay at the lair to be safe until the gang and her parent’s were taken care of, she of course agreed making them happy about it as they then waited a few days before trying to find the gang or her parents, of course the girls will go out during the day to try and get some answers for Nova who with Yumi were staying with master Splinter at the lair to be safe, Raph actually wanted to stay at the lair with her… but this mission comes first so he needs to go on patrol with his brother’s.
He didn’t know why… but something felt off… with Yumi…
He didn’t tell anyone since he wasn’t all that sure about it, but as time went on he noticed something was strange with Yumi… and it was getting worse, he asked her about it but Yumi kept quiet and acted like he never asked about it and simply smiled to him… she knew what was going on but she… decided to keep quiet about it for some reason, he wanted answers but if she didn’t want to give them to him… then he should simply accept her choice of keeping quiet and go on with his day, one day Ane found something, a pair of parents were passing around missing person fliers of Yumi, saying she’s there daughter and she’s sick and needs to be brought back home soon and that anyone willing to help would be great, it was a little strange to Ane but she claimed she would keep a look out and then called the turtles about her find, none of them thought like Raph did, instead the four went after the couple to punish them for what they did to there real daughter Novaflor, as a result the police was then brought in. They arrested the parents while Donnie was in their computers getting the data they needed, after that they left when the police came in to grab the papers and data from the computers… not knowing it was all looked through and copied, they got back to the lair to get some sleep while Donnie and Rosa tried to begin cracking into the data, they got off the computer, the others all went to bed for the night without thinking about anything bad possible to happen at some point, they didn’t know that Nova’s parents were saying the truth about Yumi in the end, they found this out the next day, Rosa screamed for everyone to wake up and come to the lab making them all rush over to hear what was wrong. Donnie asked where Yumi was making them all look around to try and find the young girl, Raph was getting worried since she wasn’t anywhere in the lair… so they rushed to the sewers where they found… rotting? Donnie explained that Nova’s parents speeded up the growth process on Yumi which caused her body to be still doing so even when she isn’t again… because of this her body is no longer stable and so is dying, Yumi babbled as best she could with the teeth, she had left to tell them that she didn’t want them to worry so she left the lair to die in the sewers, Nova felt heartbroken at the news and asked if Donnie and Rosa could fix it… sadly they couldn’t with the equipment they had. And even if they did have it… the only thing they could have done was slow down the rotting for a little while, Yumi smiled in understanding as she accepted her fate to death, Novaflor on the other hand… was having a hard time accepting the fact that Yumi was going to die now, they decided to stay with her until she dies, but it was simply too hard for them as she quickly stopped breathing… and then was confirmed dead, no one could accept it, Donnie told them that he would bury her body and make a proper grave while they head back to the lair, but Nova insisted that she goes with him, so they allowed it as long as she listened to Donnie the whole time until there back in the sewers, it took a while but still Raph didn’t have the power to go to sleep just yet… he needed to see them come back. It took until it was early morning before they came back to the lair, Donnie went straight for his room… while Nova simply stood there without saying a thing, there was nothing to say really, instead he slowly walked over to her side and invited her to his room, she silently nodded and then followed him without another word into his room and into his bed, if she was crying then he didn’t know, she was quiet the whole time they were in his bed… she wasn’t even shaking from if she were crying… could it be she cried all of her tears when they buried Yumi? He couldn’t ask right now since it was a sensitive subject at the moment, still he held her in his arms, he whispered to her that he was there for her like his brother’s, like there girlfriends and like his father… that they would listen to her if something was wrong at some point at all, the next morning, he woke up to Nova still in his arms sleeping, when he slowly set her on his bed… it was then that he saw that she cried while he was more then likely sleeping, she obviously didn’t want him to worry even after what he said to her and so waited until he was sleeping to cry. He felt bad, he should have been awake to show her that he was there for her, but instead he went to sleep like everything was alright, he would need to try and fix things with her on that part… but for now he needed breakfast, he left his room to find the others already making or eating breakfast… but they were cheerful like usual… no… they had Yumi’s death still fresh in their minds at the moment, so it was obvious that there is going to be some healing for all of them right now, he moved to the kitchen to begin making his own breakfast, he was hungry and wanted to eat something before doing nothing for the day like the others will do… maybe even make something for Nova while he’s at it, so he went to the fridge and got to work on making breakfast, he didn’t really know what she liked to eat… but he could at least try right? He decided to make her something simple to eat for now and also got her a glass of water, he hoped it would all go well, once he was done preparing the food, he went back to his room to find her waking up “I made you something to eat” he said making her look over and smile as thanks, she slowly began to eat the food as he sat by his desk “How are you feeling right now?” he asked softly as she ate, she didn’t speak yet and didn’t expect her to reply… but he did want to at least try to talk to her “At least your parent’s are going to jail… turns out they planned to kill you and pay to keep you a secret once Yumi was stable” he explained making her grow tense “Right sorry… sensitive subject” he replied as he looked down “I didn’t know that part” she whispered making him look up as she looked at her food “I didn’t know that they had planned to kill me” she further explained making him nod in understanding to her words. “Yeah, I found this email they were planning to send to someone that they were paying to erase you, they hadn’t gotten your death yet since you and Yumi were still hiding” he explained making her nod with a sigh “I don’t know how they were planning to kill you… but I know it wouldn’t have been fair for you” he added making her softly smile back to him, she thanked him for the meal but explained that she was still tired, he nodded and left with the tray as she went back to sleep for a while, he told this to the others who were relieved to the good news at least… but they still worried that something bad might happen that she won’t be able to handle alone right now, Donnie promised to keep on looking into things about Nova’s parent’s online while the girls listen around when they go out… but so far there was nothing to hear other then how they were going to jail for their crimes.
At least that was some good news to them…
It took time, but with that Nova slowly began to come out of Raph’s room to interact with the others, she wasn’t fully over the death of Yumi but at least she was moving forward… if not slowly, everyone was happy about that and they offered her to open up to them if she needed to talk to someone about anything which made her smile and nod in thanks to there offers while allowing them to know that she would think about it, while it wasn’t a yes… it also wasn’t a no but a maybe so they took it as it is, Raph was more of the person who she opened up to at the moment, explaining how her parents didn’t seem to be happy with her as she grew and began to not be interested in the things they made her practice in the past “Every time I would say it’s boring or I don’t like it or even I’m no longer doing something… they would look at me with this look of anger and hatred… I still don’t understand why” she explained to him, they were in his room just laying around as she talked to him.
It felt… really good to be able… to open up to someone…
So, she kept doing it, seeing Raph when he was free to talk with in his room to just relax and open up, sometimes she would talk to someone else but it was a little harder on her to do, one day when she was talking to Jasmine she asked “Are better in talking to someone else?” Nova nodded as her answer which made Jasmine smile “Then you should talk to them instead of those who it’s harder to talk to… come to one of us when your ready” she said and with that left Nova alone in her room until Nova left to go see Raph in his room, this went on for weeks before she was willing to talk to Donnie in his lab, then Jasmine, then Anemone, then Mikey, then Rosa and lastly Leo. They were all happy to talk to her at long last, some of them got to connect with her… while others were able to help her understand herself a little more, Raph was happy at how well things were going for her right now, he did hope it get’s better with time… but he couldn’t help but wonder about her parents as time went on, it was just… too quiet about them for some reason, Donnie doesn’t understand why and the girls are also confused as they go outside to do things… one day… Jasmine did it, she discovered something about Novaflor’s parents, she was walking out to buy something for Donnie that he needed with a book when she heard it… some guy got drunk at home and was talking on the phone to someone who more then likely wanted them to keep quiet about it and didn’t listen at all.
But it was bad news… so she rushed back to the lair to tell everyone… including Nova…
Turns out that her parents somehow paid there way out of there crimes, they also paid to keep it quiet from the world… but that drunk idiot spoke out right before Jasmine’s eyes making her able to know and tell the others, so Nova turned to Donnie and nodded, the genius quickly got to work with Rosa and released online and on any place they could touch everything that Nova’s parents did, creating Yumi by using Nova, planning to kill Nova and pay to keep it all a secret, trying to hunt Nova and Yumi down… everything was destroyed in minutes for them as they were quickly found and sent to jail for there crimes, Nova went to speak to the judge against her parents and that was the final nail in there coffins… they were sentence to life in jail… no chance of getting out and no parole for either of them.
It was over at long last…
Everyone cheered about it at the lair… all but Raph, he could tell that his feelings towards Nova had not reached her at all… so with a sigh her admitted defeat and gave up, he turned in for the night so that he would be ready for training in the morning… he knew that Nova might be planning the next step in her life… without them of course, but maybe she might visit them sometimes? Who knows? He didn’t of course but he hopes she might take the time to see them at times to know how they were doing and so she can tell them about how she was doing… either way he got into bed and drifted to sleep knowing that he would need to look again for a girl for him… all the while not knowing… that as he left for his room…
Nova was watching him with a longing look…

The turtles were happy once more, it had been about a month now since they began dating again, each of them was going on dates and happy each time they came back to the lair… well except Raph, he has yet to even ask Nova out on a date, it wasn’t that he didn’t want to ask her out, but more because he didn’t know what to plan for a date or how to ask her out, the girls noticed this and went over to help him by sitting down with him to talk, it helped him a bit but not enough for him to ask Nova out right now, so with that… this was the job for his brother’s to take on. They had him explain to them everything behind the reason why he hasn’t asked Nova out just yet since it was obvious, he liked her, but something was simply holding him back right now, so they turned to the girls to talk to Nova about all of this with the hopes that just maybe the two will end up together in the end, Jasmine, Anemone and Rosalina got to work on taking Novaflor out to do some shopping together to bond making the four girls smile at how much of a wonderful time they were having together in the end, the four bought some clothes, products for there skin and hair, make-up, shoes and even just looked around together. They went from one store to the next which was fun before they decided to take a break and went to get something to eat together, Jasmine was talking about her favorite store called Yves Rocher which sold amazing beauty products that she uses still to this day, the girls all thought about checking the store after eating so Jasmine promised to show them once they were done with there food, they kept talking until hair was brought up making them talk about possible haircuts and hair colour, Jasmine talks about an appointment she has for her hair making them all get excited for when she comes back with a whole new look for her hair. As they were almost done eating and heading to the Yves Rocher, Jasmine began to talk to them about the products they sell making all the girls get excited to check inside the store, they get in and split up, Ane is with Rosa while Nova is listening to Jas about all kinds of products before she speaks “So… how are things between you and Raph? I mean… everyone noticed the way you look at him” she whispered making Nova blush “I mean… yeah, I like him… but I don’t know what to do. Do I go tell him how I feel or does he come to me?” she asked making Jas sigh “Raph… he feels the same… but he doesn’t know how to do things… he had such a hard time feeling again and is still trying to get back to normal… so you’ll need to help and be patient with him” she replied making Nova nod to her words as they get back to looking and grabbing things they plan to buy. Once done, Jasmine watches her three friends with bags from the store making her smile and giggle at them at how much they bought but looked happy, they slowly began to walk back to the lair while smiling and talking about how they need to do this again at some point because of how much fun they just had as they got into the sewers to get to the lair together with smiles and giggles from all four girls right now, the turtles could clearly hear them as they got closer making them all go to the entrance to greet them… except Raph who sat on the couch and waved at them before Jasmine left to be with Donnie in there room to unpack what she bought, Rosa dashed to Mikey excited to talk about her day and plans on what to cook tonight while Ane pulled Leo to their room to show him what she bought. Nova looked at Raph who looked to be deep in thought instead of watching the TV show that was on at the moment, she wasn’t sure on how to go with this so she decided to first take care of her purchases in her room, she slowly unpacked and put away what she could collecting what needed to go into the wash later, she thought about what to say to him but her mind was getting a blank for now and that wasn’t really god in her opinion… she was going to need some help in order to talk to him right now, she turned to her phone and went to the group chat with the three girls to ask for advice with the hopes that they can help her out a bit.

Icyflower: I need help Singer: Uh oh, trouble with Raph already? Not like what five minutes in coming back to the lair? AutisticGurl: Just ignore her and tell us what’s wrong CookingQueen: Yeah, what do you need? Icyflower: I want to talk to Raph about a date plan… but I have no idea on what to say to him at all AutisticGurl: That isn’t really hard to me… just try to start a conversation and maybe go from there? You don’t really need to ask him out on a date now CookingQueen: I agree with Jasmine, there is no rush to ask someone out on a date, for now just talk to him and when you feel your ready ask him out Singer: I say just go up to him and tell him you like him and to go out with you! It’s way better than going slow and makes a point AutisticGurl: Shut up Ane CookingQueen: Shut up Ane Singer: Oh, come on! IT’S THE TRUTH!

Nova sighs as she reads over the whole thing… even though Ane was a little annoying the other two girls were right… there was no rush in any of this right now, in fact if she didn’t feel ready to tell him she could simply wait and get to know him slowly, it was going to be alright in the end, she takes a breath and then walks out of her room to look for Raph who ended up still on the couch not watching the TV for real, she decided to go over and to simply talk to him for a bit “Mind if I join you?” she asked making him look at her and then nods to her which made her smile and then sit with him on the couch to see what he was watching which was a channel showing products you can order by phone call. It was a little awkward to her because she thought they would have talked but he was watching the show even though she knew it was a waste of time “Do you want to talk about something?” she then asked making him turn to her a little surprised by her question since it was a little sudden in his opinion but he didn’t really know what to say to her question, he wanted to agree to the idea… but the truth is he didn’t know what to talk to her about “We can just talk about random things if you want” she then said making him then smile and nod to her idea. So, for the next few weeks they just talked, they talked about all kinds of things really, sometimes about things they liked and other times things they wanted to do at some point, they had fun the whole time they talked together making them slowly get closer than ever… Nova was certain that she will soon be able to ask him out on a date, sometimes the girls will suggest a subject to talk about with Raph… it really helped in her opinion, so she kept talking to him until she asked him a specific question “Is there someone you like? Someone you wish to ask out on a date?” she asked out of the blue, Raph didn’t say a thing… he was just so quiet and she wondered if she said something wrong in the end. “Why are you asking me this?” he asked back, she slightly jumped at his words and turned to see him looking back at her, Nova didn’t really know what to say at all… she was simply frozen there on the couch with him, but he was patient and gave her time to answer his question “It’s just that… I really like you and… I wanted to ask you out on a date” she explained softly, Raph didn’t react or say anything… he simply got up from the couch and began to walk away “Be ready in three days, simple and practical clothes please… I’ll take you on a date” and with that he went to his room while Nova was squealing at the whole thing.

Rosa, Ane, Leo and Jas watched as Nova was walking in circles in a panic over what to wear for her date with Raph tonight, she had at first picked an outfit… and then changed it multiple times before asking help from the girls… with Leo tagging along because he was with Ane when she asked for help, they all watched her pair up things and compliment them… and then says it’s not right and goes to pick something else… a rinse and repeat you can say, Ane thought it was funny which made Leo sigh, Rosa was trying to calm Nova down while Jas watched all of this happen before her very eyes. “I should just put the jeans with the simple shirt and jacket, right? But that seems too sexy! So maybe I should go with the sweater and jeans instead!” she would say before complaining and then talking about another outfit, it was going on for some time now and Jasmine groaned before getting up, grabbing the pile of clothes and then setting on her bed an outfit “Now put it on and finish your hair and make-up!” she said before putting all the clothes away and then leaving the room… with Nova looking to be shocked by all of this right now, the others soon left too so Nova could get changed. She was relieved to have such great friends… she knew that she could trust them and so much more… but it was hard to forget what her parents did to her, all this time she thought they loved her… but they wanted more that the claimed she couldn’t give them… so they created a new child that would die soon, it still scares her the night she saw what they were doing and all the info she uncovered before quickly acting and escaping with her daughter after getting everything ready before running away, Yumi had been smart and a good girl as she took her away. Her life might have been short but she had been happy the whole time she lived with them, as a result Nova promised to herself to make happy memories and to be happy no matter what happens next in her life… she finished getting herself ready and turned to her door as a knock was clearly heard, she opened it to find Raph there making her smile towards him, he guided her to the van and they got inside, the drive was silent for the most part until she spoke “Where are we going?” she asked making him look at her for a split second. “I’m taking you to where were doing our date” he said making her smile and nod before going back to silence, he keeps driving until she noticed that they were leaving the city which confused her… but instead of talking about it to Raph she decided to keep quiet and see where he takes her, she watched as he turned to a dirt road and then shut the van off, she watched him get out the drivers seat and grab a few things before she follows him out of the van, they stretch there legs for a moment before Raph gently takes her hand and she follows him “Have you come here before?” she asked making him nod “I came here alone to relax… Casey who was my ex never wanted to come with me because it’s so silent here” he explained making Nova nod in understanding… not everyone likes this kind of environment even when it shows what the planet present to say it’s alive. He slowly takes her to a gorgeous cliff that presents the view of flowers making her gasp at the amazing sight as he set everything up “I hope you like the food me and Mikey made together… it took us a while to get it right” he said making her turn to find egg rolls, dumplings and sushi making her smile at the amazing food, she sits down on the blanket he brought and they began to eat slowly while talking, she did end up finding out more about his brother’s and all of there exe’s making her hate them greatly for hurting the brother’s. She wished she could do something to them… but she didn’t know what they looked like and so all she could do was wait to possibly meet them and then will give them each a piece of her mind, after a while they finished eating and with that they collected everything and then went back to the van to drive back to the lair, they talked a bit more then earlier while listening to music which was great because she got to know his taste in music which was great, slowly they returned to the city making her smile as they started to near the lair… but then she saw it. She didn’t know why but she thought she saw the brothers chasing after the van, she shakes her head with the belief it was all in her head as they entered the sewers, as they then neared the lair, they walked inside where the girls waited on the couch and greeted them “Hey you two, how did the date go?” Jasmine asked with a bright smile, Nova smiled back and told them what happened making the girls giggle and ask more questions while Raph went to clean everything up as the brother’s came out of the dojo and moved to help him out. Nova was so happy that the date went well… she turned a while later to Raph who smiled at her… she was definitely now dating him, this was great and she was so happy now with her boyfriend, Splinter watched the whole thing with a smile on his face as he then returned to his room where his expression turned to a frown… something was going to soon happen… and he wasn’t sure if his sons and their girlfriends were ready for it.
Because the past was going to soon return to them…
