Work Text

“Hey... Lie down with me.” Adolf pauses in the middle of assaulting his phone with quite a frantic strings of tapping. He glances at Lindel, who has his arm crossed as a pillow and is laying down comfortably on the makeshift bed. The magus grins at him, beckoning Adolf to join him with a tilt of his head. “After I get Tory to do his tasks...or more like guiding him step by step... Renfred needs some documents and I’m trying to help him find them,” Adolf answers, going back to his phone. “I will join you in a...minute, damn it Tory.” He faintly hears Lindel hums in acknowledgment, but is taken aback when he is suddenly being attacked from behind, lithe fingers tickles him teasingly. Lindel huffs when Adolf doesn’t give much of a reaction beside a surprised eep; the younger is not exactly the ticklish type. He hugs Adolf from behind and lays his head on his shoulder. “Adolf...” “Yes, Echoes, hold on.” Lindel pouts. His eyes take a peek at the phone, but quickly loses interest within minutes. He nuzzles the other’s shoulder blade and closes his eyes, letting the sound of the forest takes over his senses. The dribbling sounds of a nearby waterfall sounds melodic in his ears. Mermaids are giggling and water faeries are playing tag with each others. The forest down the hill isn’t devoid of voices either. He can hear the pitter-patter of feet of all kind of creatures. A particularly loud cry of a young baby brings a little chaos for the tired parents. Oh, is that the sound of wings? The dragons venture high and low, some passes by the area they’re in. The hills make a song with the wind. Petals of flowers touches his skin. The body he’s holding feels warm and nice... “...Lindel?” Adolf’s soft voice brings him back from his musing. “Did you fall asleep...?” Lindel opens his eyes to a sensation of a light kiss on the temple of his head. Adolf gives him a trail of kisses down to his lips. He kisses him back. “Sorry it took so long,” Adolf murmurs. He waves his phone, turned off now, and puts the device in his pants’ pocket. “What was it you want to do? Lie down together...?” Lindel tilts his entire body back to a lying position, pulling Adolf along with a fond chuckle. The silver haired man yelped over the sensation of gravity pulls, but Lindel’s firm body holds his fall, safe and tight. “Look,” Lindel says, bringing his arms tighter around his person. “The moon is visible now.” Adolf turns his head up, towards the afternoon sky. The clouds are forming a golden layer for the orange sky. The sun is still peeking, not yet setting. It sends little rays of light behind the clouds. And there’s the moon. “It’s huge...” The new moon greets them shyly. From where they’re laying, Adolf can see its surface clearly, the mountains and trenches of the moon. It’s still a faint white in the sky, but it will shine nice and bright in a few more hours. Lindel’s voice carries on with the wind as the magus sings a gentle tune in a language unfamiliar to Adolf. The song is mellow yet strong, soothing yet invigorating. Fireflies are joined by little creatures. They dance to the magic and rejoice to the melody. The blanket of night finally covers the sky, bringing a sheet of... “Aurora!” Adolf exclaims in awe. It glows green and purple and red, weaving magic through the air. It amplifies with Lindel’s own song. The hill reverberates peace. All the creatures nearby can feel the energy and many joins in singing and dancing. Laughters fill the air and the world is heaven again. “You are my stars, shining so bright, only for me...,” Lindel ends the song. He intertwines their fingers and kisses Adolf’s fingers. They cuddle into the night and fall asleep in each other’s arms. “Good night, My Love, sweet dreams.” ——( ´ ▽ ` )——
