It was just the same nightmare, the same fear that had always been with him, what wasn't normal was the fact that Rei was with him, still being her ghost self and wasn't a part of his nightmare, he appreciated it nonetheless. What he didn't like was that the nightmare seemed more real? He wasn't sure, the pitch black closet wasn't dark per say, he could still see but he wasn't sure if his skin was supposed to be purple. 'Your eyes are black like mine but little brother still has his pretty eyes.' Rei supplied, cooing slightly as she played with his now orange and black locks. "This is really confusing." He mumbled, he had weird nightmares before but he wasn't sure about this, before he could put more thought in the change of colors a weird gurgle of a bark(?) could be heard outside the door. What. His heart seemed to beat faster/slower, his breathing growing erratic/calm and he glanced at Rei who seemed to hiss but was also confused. Yeah this wasn't his normal nightmare. A grey creature phased through the door, crooning with curiosity as Izuku thought it look like a dog. Then he took a thorough look and realized this...thing seemed a bit more than that. "You...have companion..?" The hound like creature tilted it's head, Rei doing the same as two pairs of dark orbs stared into each other's abyss. "Uh, yeah. This is Rei." Izuku shrugged, heart pounding in his chest as he ignored the way the closet felt so small. "...cute." The monster barked out, the girl giggling as she pat the dog like snout. "Never thought I'd dream of a dog calling Rei cute but thank you, I think so too." "Oh. No, tis not dreaming." The creature grinned, too many human and canine teeth mixing together to form a grin and yet the fear inside him never doubled, for once he almost felt at peace. Wait hold on. "...E-excuse me?" He blinked, giving the chuckling creature a nervous smile as his fear spiked up when the doorknob jiggled lightly. "You in the land of your kin." The canine replied simply, opening the door as a bit of light peeked out, it made him realize the whispers and scratches were no longer there. "My what." He was out of the closet, blinking as he could definitely feel the wind brush through his locks, looking around as he noticed shadows dancing at the corners of his eyes, these weren't ghosts however, deep down he knew these were creatures - just like that dog like monster - that would listen to his command. He turned around, realizing Rei was still playing with the canine monster only to realize that his head was deceiving, the body seemed bigger and more horse/cat like. "This isn't a dream..?" He mumbled out, seeing what seems to be a sea in the distance, calling out to him but he stood his ground as the animal glanced to him, it's long bony tail wagging behind him. "Yes! It is your nightmare, Prince Fear!" Then he woke up. Izuku panted as he glanced down at his hands, sighing with relief to see that they are in fact not purple. That was some dream. 'It was a nightmare, little brother.' Rei giggled as she signed to him, the familiar wave of fear almost drowning him again.
'But I hope the doggie visits us again! Mika might like him.'
