----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It has been weeks since both Kirishima and Bakugou had a full day off and on the same day. Ever since they had become heroes things have been super busy. Even when they weren’t running around saving people or doing patrols the companies that hired them kept them busy. So to celebrate their day off they had decided to stay home have a home cooked meal and movie night.

“Get out Shitty Hair!”, Bakugou’s loud voice echoed throughout the apartment as usual. He was trying to get Kirishima out of his way while he was fixing up dinner. Kirishima wasn’t exactly great at cooking but he could help every now and again. However, Bakugou was stubborn, thinking he was better and could do it fine by himself. It was best to leave it like that and leave, but that didn’t mean Kirishima left the kitchen entirely. He sat on the other side of the kitchen island with those uncomfortable wooden/plastic bar stools. While Bakugou was using the island counter as a place where he chopped up the vegetables the opposite side Kirishima was sitting. “I thought we were going to do this together”, Kirishima commented to his hot-headed roommate. “I didn’t say anything like that! I said we could have a home cooked meal tonight!”, Bakugou replied, annoyed that Kiri was challenging his decision of kicking him out of the kitchen even though the redhead just moved away. “Then what will you be making then?”, Kiri questioned with a cocked eyebrow. He couldn’t remember the last time Bakugou cooked or even what the ash-blonde could cook without blowing it up. “Be patient!”, Bakugou growled, aggressively chopping up the vegetables before putting them to the side and checking on something simmering in the small soup pot at the stove. Kirishima could only take guesses at what in the world the hot-headed hero was making. Vegetables and something needing to simmer in a pot. There were so many things he could name by just those clues.

At least 15 minutes pass and Bakugou was finishing up what smelled absolutely marvelous. The smell alone made Kirishima’s mouth water. He has yet to see what the meal looked like in the pot. “Oi, Shitty Hair!”, Bakugou calls, standing across the island opposite of Kiri. Kirishima shakes his head a little, seems he was daydreaming about the food, “Yeah Bakugou?”. “Go pick out a movie, dinner's nearly ready”, Bakugou replied, not yelling this time around now that Kiri was paying attention. Excitedly Kiri dashes into the living room and right to the DVD cabinet next to their shared TV. “Action?”, Kirishima asked though he didn’t really need to ask. He already knew what Bakugou liked. “Anything with explosions!”, Bakugou called into the living room, making Kiri chuckled as his assumption was right again. He picked one they most likely both have watched already but not together, plus it was one of Bakugou’s favorites. “Have you picked one out yet Shitty Hair?”, Bakugou asked as he walked into the living room with two steaming bowls. “Yeah, just let me put it in”, Kiri grinned, putting the disc and letting the movie startup as he goes to the couch to sit down. Bakugou places the bowls of food down on the coffee table, finally showing his creation. “Shio Ramen… wow, Bakugou. This looks as good as it smells”, Kiri was almost lost for words. It looked perfect and he couldn’t wait to have a taste. “It better taste as good too! It’s a bitch to make”, Bakugou growled as he sat down on the couch next to Kirishima. It’s honestly been a while since Bakugou had cooked for himself or anyone so he had struggled slightly here and there while cooking. But of course, his stubbornness never allowed him to say that out loud, even to Kiri. The movie starts and Kirishima picks up his bowl of Ramen. He gets a big fork full of noodles and vegetables then takes a bite. Eyes lighting up as his taste buds came to life. Kiri looks at Bakugou, eyes wide and a grin from ear to ear. “Dude! You're like a five-star chef!”, Kirishima compliments before taking a few more bites of the Ramen. “Shut up! The movie’s starting!”, It was only an excuse to tell Kiri that. Bakugou couldn’t handle compliments like that from Kiri, especially when he was probably gonna get it all night for sure.

Around the hour and 15-minute mark of the movie, it appeared that Bakugou had fallen asleep on the couch. Their bowls were empty but their stomachs were content thanks to Bakugou’s home cooked Ramen. Kirishima decides to get up and take the empty dirty dishes to the kitchen sink. It was his usual chore around the apartment to wash dishes so he always took it upon himself to do so when there were dishes in the sink waiting to be washed. Tonight was an exception since Bakugou made dinner but other nights the ash-blonde completely refuses to have anything to do with washing dirty dishes or putting dishes away when they were clean. Kirishima wondered if Bakugou had a slight distaste for water, but it would have been noticeable during their high school days. So it was definitely something else. Kiri finished up the last dish and utensils and dried his hands off with a kitchen towel. Then he heads down the hall to his room to get ready for bed since it was getting pretty late.

Meanwhile, Bakugou wakes up with a little start from particularly nothing. He turned his head towards the other end of the couch to find Kirishima not there anymore. Then he looked down at the coffee table to see the empty dishes gone as well. Bakugou grabbed the TV remote and turned off the movie and TV then dropped the plastic device on the couch as he gets up to wander into the kitchen. He doesn’t find Kiri in the kitchen either, but he did find now freshly cleaned dishes in the strainer beside the sink. Tsking, he decided to dry the dishes with a towel and put them away without needing to be asked or anyone around to watch.

A few minutes later Kirishima wandered back out to the kitchen in his nightwear to find Bakugou awake and getting a glass of water. He didn’t think anything of it as he goes to get a glass from the cupboard to get his own water.  But when he was getting it he noticed the stainer was empty. Thinking it odd for the dishes to disappear, Kiri asked Bakugou, “where did the dishes go?”. “I put them away”, not skipping a beat or yelling, Bakugou replied to the question as if talking about the weather. Kirishima looks at Bakugou with confusion and surprise. The hot-headed male never did such things even if asked. Bakugou got annoyed with the look he received from the redhead, “What’s with that look?”. Kiri hesitate to speak since he was lost in surprise, “N-nothing! Just surprised is all. You never did this before”. Bakugou tsks and rolls his eyes, “I’ve done it plenty of times”. With that spoken, Bakugou takes his glass of water and walks into his bedroom for the night. Kirishima was left in more surprise. “When was that?”, he mumbled to himself, now left in the kitchen holding an empty glass he was going to fill with water a minute ago.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Hot

“Shoto…”, You groan, peeking up from previously burying your face into the pillow. The littlest strands of your hair sticking to your forehead that was just pouring sweat down your face. It was that awful sticky humidity that just screamed at you to suffer no matter what you attempted to do to relieve yourself from the feeling. Kicking the blankets off to leave only the mattress and pillow underneath you. Even changing into practically wearing nothing but your underwear to escape the sticky warm feeling. Yet none of it worked. And while you suffered, your half-and-half boyfriend just laid on the bed asleep like nothing bothered him.

When you spoke his name, he hummed in response but didn’t even turn towards you or open his eyes. This only makes you whine again but louder, “Shoto..!”. Shoto finally turned towards you, opening one eye to look at you, “yes, (Y/N)?”. He was so calm in such dire times. “It’s too hot”, you whined to him. The worst part you didn’t even want to cuddle like you usually did, so you dared not to take the initiative to wrap an arm around him. A small smile, or what could have been a smirk graced his lips, “And what would you like me to do about that?”. You squinted at him, knowing he was teasing now and you weren’t in the mood with the insufferable humidity beating upon you. “Shoto, don’t be so cruel”, You said sternly. “I don’t believe I understand what you're saying. I was only asking what I could do for you”, Shoto took it further and played coy. He was good… way too good for his own good. “Shoto”, you whined, feeling more desperate. There was only so much of the humidity you could take. Before you know it, he wraps his cold half’s arm around you and pulls you closer to him. The chill of his cold half felt amazing against your flushed warm skin. You let out a soft sigh of relief, closing your eyes as you could finally relax for the night. “Thanks, Shoto…”, you begin to drift off to sleep in his arms after he fended off the humidity for you.

Cold

Your teeth chatter as you hug yourself in the fetal position. Tons of blankets covered every inch of you yet you were still cold. You even had worn your warmest nightwear and still, it had done nothing for you. However there was one thing you knew that would. Peeking out of the pile of blankets you have made for yourself, you see your boyfriend lying next to you on your shared large mattress. He had no blankets except a thin sheet. You had asked once if the temperatures ever bothered him and he always replied no. But he did mention extreme temperatures that you’ll probably never get where you live do affect him. So he wasn’t entirely immune after all. His back was turned away from you which meant he was probably asleep. ‘Too easy”, you thought, peeling the blankets off of you to escape the prison of somewhat warmth. It was only going to be a few seconds away from the warmth, and soon you’d be completely warm. The cold air outside of the blankets makes you slightly hesitate however you get a grip on yourself and don’t hesitate to wrap your arms around Shoto from behind. Pressing your front into his back as you sought warmth from him. There was a soft gasp of surprised that came from him when you practically squeezed him to your body. He tried looking back to see you smothering your face into his back. “What are you doing?”, he asked, his voice groggy from sleep. “It’s cold out and your warm”, You mumbled into him which he heard. “You did break the heater the other day”, Shoto reminded. You frown, “It was an accident. The settings are so confusing”. “There was a labeled remote, how could it be?”, He questioned calmly. “Just because they’re labeled doesn’t mean it isn’t confusing”, you countered stubbornly. Shoto chuckles softly at you. “It’s not funny”, you mumbled, thinking he was laughing at you. Shoto smiles as he bluntly says, “No, but you are cute”. Your cheeks flush pink and bury your face into his back more. “Shhh… time for bed now”, you make an excuse for your reaction. The rest of the time it was silent as both of you drift off to sleep. You got your warmth and he got you.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“So how was the move?”, Uraraka asked you. You situated the laptop in front of you as you sat on your bed. “Well, it was pretty easy compared to some things”, You replied. Uraraka was one of your friends however she’s been living in another part of Japan. So you two have been keeping in touch over video chat and social media. “Oh? What are these things?”, Uraraka asked, cocking an eyebrow at the camera lens. “My roommates”, You said simply. She laughs a little, “I don’t know what to say, you are roommates with Denki and Mina. they can be a bit rowdy at times from what I’ve heard”. “It’s not just that…”, The door opening makes you stop mid-sentence and look up to see Mina looking a little sheepish.“Ummm… (Y/N)... Denki and I wanted to make ramen”, Mina began to say, hesitating to tell what has been done. “And?”, you asked, wanting more information however you already knew something happened. “We made ramen in the coffee pot and we broke everything”, Mina spoke quickly before running out of the room. You were able to process what has been said, no matter how fast she had spoken and you had to inhale just to stop yelling after Mina. “Umm… want me to call back later?”, Uraraka asked sheepishly. You looked at the computer screen showing your friend who had witnessed that, “Yeah, that would be great”. The call ended and you got up from the bed as calmly as possible. You had gone out to the kitchen where Mina had most likely run off to after telling you about the disaster. But nothing she had said prepared you for what you saw. Denki was trying to fix the coffee machine while broken glass from the coffee pot was all over the countertop. Cooked and raw ramen was also strewn everywhere, both on the countertops and floor. You feared to step into the kitchen so you remained in the living room, watching as the two tried desperately to clean up. You were staring for what seemed like minutes. Mina had noticed you standing in the living room as she was trying to pick up the ramen noodles and glass off of all surfaces. “H-hey (Y/N). we’re just cleaning up the mess”, Mina spoke sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck. Denki looked over to see you and accidentally dropped the coffee machine. It’s cheap plastic casing cracked on impact. You sighed, closing your eyes and rubbing your temple. “Get out of the kitchen”, you managed to not yell. “But we’re cleaning up”, Mina countered. “Y-yeah! We were just fixing the mistake”, Denki backed up Mina. “Now!”, You pointed to the hallway which leads to their rooms. “Okay”, Both said sadly, shoulders dropping as they shuffled through the living room and down the hall. Once they left you looked back at the mess which has only gotten worse from their desperate hopes of cleaning.A few hours later the mess in the kitchen was cleaned up thankfully by you and you ordered takeout for everyone. Mina’s and Denki’s spirits have lifted when they found out you ordered food and had forgiven them about the mess. Though overall the ordeal had them banned from making food with the stove and kitchen appliances without help from you.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Having a very loving boyfriend like Tenya is a heartwarming feeling. Though he is very selfless when it comes to you and it makes you worry sometimes. Especially when he’s a hero and works constantly. Whenever you mention this worry he’d always tell you he could handle the responsibility of taking care of you and doing hero work. You, of course, don’t doubt this but your worry is about how tired he must be. At some point, you’d have to urge him to let you do some of the work so you could share the burdens of having an adult life while in a wonderful relationship.

Your urge hasn’t come out yet, but you hoped soon you’d be able to finally voice out that he
needs
to take a break. To receive rather than give.

Today has been the usual day when Tenya has his one day off a week. And like usual he was trying to get things done one after another. Chores? Done. Shopping? There’s a list for what you both need to get. Everything spotless and organized in some kind of way? Definitely. It’s only the afternoon and you had only done a few things today compared to Tenya. Your usual morning routine, getting food for both of you, watched the news, and read a book quietly out on the apartment balcony. While you did your own thing you could see Tenya busying himself with some type of chore or another.

By dinner time you couldn’t possibly think of any chore that he hasn’t done today. He had even done laundry which you were planning on doing tomorrow. And when it seemed all done he relaxed a bit and began watching the nightly news while you cooked dinner. Somehow you managed to convince him you would cook for him and yourself, which you were glad for even though he was a great cook and looked good in an apron. Once dinner was ready you both sat down to enjoy some time together. Tenya had always made it a priority to come home by dinner time and sit down with you no matter how tired he was from work. And if he couldn’t make it home because of work he made sure to call you around the time you go to bed to tell you good night so you didn’t have to wait for him. There was a time when you use to wait for him during those late nights which was a bit taxing but worth it to greet him home. Though a constant week of waiting at night for him had made Tenya worry about your sleep patterns and health. So he began to call you before you went to bed so you didn’t have to wait for your good night from him.

Dinner was good and lively as usual, but since Tenya did run on an internal schedule you two went to bed a few hours after dinner. He’d usually do the dishes since you cooked, while you got ready for bed with a quick shower. Then when he finished up the last chore of the day he’d finally settle down and get ready for bed. But when you got into bedroom around the same time as he did there was something a little off. “Where are the blankets and sheets?”, you asked, confused as to seeing a bare mattress and uncovered pillows rather than your usually neatly made bed. “AH! I forgot them in the wash!”, Tenya freaked out. He never usually forgot about these things. You knew it was probably a sign that he was getting tired from the constant chores and work all the time and needed a break. So before he ran off you gave his cheek a kiss then told him, “don’t worry love, I’ll go get them. How about you go take a shower in the meantime?”. Tenya looked at you in surprised but couldn’t say no to being given a kiss and a generous offer from someone so special to him. His cheeks were flushed as he stuttered out a little reply, “A-alright…”. In a slight daze, he wandered into the bathroom while you smiled proudly at yourself for finally taking a chance to give him a break despite his slight stubbornness.

You took the sheets and blankets out of the wash, checking to see if they were okay. They have only been sitting in the wash for about 30 minutes which meant Tenya was doing this last minute after many other chores. You put what you could in the dryer before turning it on. Then went into the bedroom and went into one of the bottom drawers of your shared dresser and got out some clean sheets and blankets that were extras. Having watched Tenya make the bed thousands of times and have done it yourself when you were younger, you began to put on the new sheets and made the bed. There were a few things you had taken on from watching your loving boyfriend, mostly his neatness. You had smoothed out the wrinkles of the sheets like he does and fluffed up the pillows just like how you both liked them. When you were finished you almost thought Tenya had made the bed instead of you. A feeling of pride swelled inside you, making a smile grow on your face. Tenya had just finished drying off his hair, wearing only his underwear as he walked out of the bathroom and into your shared bedroom. He had taken a look at the bed, eyes widening in surprise then looked at you. “You… that was fast. How did you do it?”, He asked you, making you laugh softly. “We had extra sheets and I put some of the washed stuff in the dryer. I should be doing chores more often though”, You replied to his question. “But you do chores. When I’m away at work you are always doing something at home”, Tenya countered. “Not as many chores as you do on your day off of work Love”, You replied, frowning slightly. This was the talk you needed to talk about with him. It would help ease your mind about his health since he worries about yours all the time. “Well… yes, but they need to be done. I wouldn’t be responsible if I didn’t do them”, He didn’t exactly get what the problem was. “Tenya. Darling. Love of my life”, You began, placing your hands on his shoulders so he was facing you and looking directly at you, “You do chores even on the days you work. And on your days off the whole day, you do chores. I want you to take your days off to treat yourself and just relax for a bit. Not for just one hour, but a whole day to relax. If we need to get something done, well we could always put it off to the next day”. He had listened to you the whole time, looking right into your eyes. A smile formed on his lips and he hugged you, wrapping his arms right around you and holding you close. “For you (Y/N)... I’ll try and relax. Only to ease your worry about me”, Tenya replied, barely above a whisper. His words made you smile and you hugged him back gladly, “thank you Love”.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It shouldn’t have surprised you. You knew there was something up with your lover when he constantly talked about hurting people or got into a manipulative mood. There had been red flags for you when you first met him but you never listened to them. Izuku was a nice boy, a Cinnabon. How could he be dangerous? Yet you were wrong… he was and he loved you. He adored you. He praised you. He did everything for you. There was one thing missing for him though. To protect you. To kill for you.

So when Izuku pulls the bloodied knife out of the still body on the ground, your feet didn’t move from the spot where you stood. You thought you were frozen in fear, petrified of your lover. Except you didn’t feel fear towards him, you never could. He’s been so nice to you. However, the brain had other thoughts. Thoughts of wonder and doubt. What if he’s been playing you all along? It made you panic slightly and your mind only kept thinking and blinding you of the things right in front of you. Until… you felt a hand on your face. A warm hand covered in something sticky and smells like copper caresses your cheek lovingly. Your eyes look into Izuku’s. You could see the bloodlust but it was slowly dimming to a loving look. “(Y/N)... are you alright, my love?”, Izuku asked you in his usually quiet and kind voice. All you could do was nod and give a look of slight panic and confusion. “Take a deep breath. Your safe now”, he tells you, take slow movements as he dropped the knife. It clatters with a metallic sound as it hits the cement ground of the alleyway. Izuku’s arms slowly wrap around you and begin to hold you close to him. He was warm but sticky with the blood that had splattered onto him. But at this point, you couldn’t care less about the blood sticking to your skin or clothes. All that matter was getting a grip on yourself so you could speak.

“... They’re dead”, you mumbled to Izuku, finally choking out your words from the dimming panic inside of you. “They were going to hurt you… I couldn’t let that happen though. You're too dear to me”, Izuku was so calm, speaking gently to you while he held you like glass. Afraid to let you go or hold you too tight. A fear of hurting you emotionally or physically. You snap out of your panic and finally get a grip of yourself, ignoring the past murder right before your eyes. Holding him about an arm's length, looking into his eyes. Except he wasn’t looking at you but the ground. You could see him vulnerable with his thoughts playing out upon his face. He fears rejection and your negative reactions. “Hey! Look at me!”, You began to say, grabbing Izuku’s attention and making him look at you, “I know you had to, I would have done the same if I was in your position. That motherfucker was going to kill me and maybe you too. You saved me, and well… I’m shocked at the scene..”. You were trailing off a little a the end, your thought process still a bit fried from the situation. Izuku was having some waterworks now, tears flowing down those freckled cheeks. “You mean… you’re not scared?”, he asked, sniffling after your little-improved speech meant for him and him alone. “Scared? Of you? Never in a million years”, you replied with a soft smile, nuzzling noses against his to show him affection. Everything was going to be alright you tell yourself. Both of you were safe. Even had settled the secrets between each other. It wasn’t like the bomb you thought it’d be, but maybe more of a soft electrocution from the suddenness.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Yo, Bakugou!”, Kirishima waved Bakugou down. The hothead blonde looked over to his best friend and walked over. “What do you want shitty hair?”, Bakugou greeted his friend like he usually did. “I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my place tonight. Maybe study for the test and watch movies”, Kirishima offered. “Sure, whatever. But you better listen this time if we’re studying at all. You were doing it all wrong last time”, Bakugou huffed, agreeing to the offer.

In reality, Bakugou didn’t just say yes because Kirishima was his one and only best friend. He had fallen ill after seeing Kirishima’s older sibling one day when he was hanging out at Kiri’s house. At first, he just thought it was his hormones raging inside of him. But then the second time he saw them the feeling came back. Then the next time and the next time. Until the realization hits him like a train and at the time he figures it out he was at home. So he was raging at himself and throwing a bit of a fit for falling for someone who didn’t really know him other than their younger sibling’s best friend. He hated himself for falling ill and promised to do his best to try and pretend he didn’t have a big crush on them.

Hours later Bakugou had walked to Kiri’s house to hang out like the two have agreed upon. He rung the doorbell to have Kiri’s sibling answer the door. They looked at Bakugou with a deadpan look and all he could do was look at them without a word coming out of his slightly open mouth. Like he was having a dumb moment while trying to think of something to say. “Eijiro is in his room. You know where it is”, They tell him, knocking him back into reality. He nods without a word not arguing or saying he knew where it was. Then Bakugou just walks past the older sibling to Kiri’s room. The second he walks in Kirishima notices the look on his best friend’s face. “You alright Bakugou?”, Kirishima asks, concerned since his friend wasn’t usually this quite when entering any room unless something was up. “I’m fine shitty hair. Get out the textbooks and let’s get started. I don’t want to be spending too much time on studying”, Bakugou closed the bedroom door and sat down in one of the chairs in the room. “So you can spend time in the living room and stare at my older sibling like a desperate puppy?”, Kirishima guessed and it was correct. Bakugou sputtered, practically choking on nothing. “What the fuck! Hell no shitty hair!”, Bakugou argues loudly, glaring at his best friend. “Dude, it’s fine if you like them. You can tell me anything”, Kirishima lightened the mood, smiling and giving a small thumbs up in reassurance. The hothead calms a bit but was still glaring at Kirishima since his best friend figured out which meant it was obvious. “So what if I do then? What the hell am I going to do about it?!”, Bakugou shouts less loudly as before. “I don’t know, but they don’t exactly like you like most people who don’t know you”, Kirishima was being honest and it was plainly obvious by how his sibling reacted to the hot-headed blonde. That didn’t help the feeling Bakugou had. It only made him feel more vulnerable since now he had to deal with this lovesick feeling towards someone who would never return the feeling. “Do you think I’m going to be over this?”, Bakugou was surprisingly using a light voice when he asked. Kirishima nods and grins, “of course! There’s plenty of people out there in the world who could love you back. Just give it time dude”. He knew his hot-headed friend would eventually lose interest but for now it was best he helped by giving Bakugou something to do rather than think hopeless thoughts.

The two boys had skipped studying and talked a little bit. Being honest with each other since Bakugou was having to deal with his little illness that seemed to never go away no matter how he fought against it. After a bit, they had gone out to the living room to watch some movies that they probably already have watched yet they still put in. They’ve been watching movies for the past few hours and Kirishima had paused in between movies to go grab some snacks and drinks for both of them. Leaving Bakugou alone with his thoughts.

‘They are always on my mind. Distracting me whenever I need to focus. I need to focus. I’m gonna be the best hero and losing focus is not allowed to happen while on the job!’, Bakugou fought against his illness of love. He tormented himself and argued with inner thoughts. It drove him mad and his already low temper didn’t help him around others when he was trying to fight these feelings. What also didn’t help these feelings was the person targeted by the feelings was practically sitting in the next room. He shifted nervously and stared at the wall with a scowl imprinted on his face. Until he gets up and heads towards the kitchen to go speak with Kirishima since it felt a little too long since the redhead left the room. The blonde stops before entering the kitchen, hearing soft voices talking to each other in the next room. He remains quiet as he listens, out of sight.

“Why do you even hang out with him?”, Kiri’s older sibling asked Kirishima. “He’s my best friend. We’ve been through a lot since we started high school at UA”, Eijiro replied, his smile slightly dipping downwards as his sibling questions him. “Him? He doesn’t seem the type to have best friends. He yells a lot and calls you names. That’s not what best friends do each other”, The sibling counters, scoffing at their younger brother’s statement. “Well, that’s how he is. And he is fine that way. Just because you don’t like him doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t”, Kirishima had Bakugou’s back no matter what. The sibling goes to say something else but was interrupted by Kiri. “why are you asking so many questions about it anyway? You’ve asked multiple times like your paranoid”, the redhead questioned his sibling back. “Er… I don’t know. I feel kind of paranoid sometimes when he’s around. I feel like he’s staring at me a lot and it kinda weirds me out. No offense”, his sibling was being honest and less judgmental now that there was some context. Kirishima looks down at the ground, “well, he does sometimes stare at you. But don’t take it the wrong way, please. He’s just getting over something and I’m trying to help him the best I can. Just please don’t hurt his feelings or anything. He may not act like a friend in your eyes but he is my best friend in mine”. There was a bit of silence. Then the sibling breaks it, “…alright. I trust you Eijiro. But don’t bring him around all the time. Take him out to other places too. I need my space as much as you need yours”. “Right, thanks (Name)”, the redhead thanked them and walked out of the kitchen.

Bakugou was just around the corner and Kirishima almost bumped into him as he walked out of the kitchen. “Bakugou? What are you standing out here for?”, Kiri whispered since his sibling was in the other room. “I was seeing why you were taking so long. Heard you talking”, Bakugou whispered back, trying not to have slight anger in his voice. “What did you hear?”, Kiri questioned, walking over to the couch with the blonde in tow. “Everything. Maybe for the next month, I shouldn’t come here. Maybe go to the diner or mall?”, Bakugou knew it was the best decision. To get over someone he’d have to remove the contact he had with them first. Then and only then will he slowly move on….hopefully.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It has finally snowed on UA. Not a frosting or some chilly breeze. Actually thick blanketed snow. It was gorgeous because all you could see was the sparkling snow stretching for miles over the UA campus. Interesting enough, class 1-A’s teacher let them have the free period to go outside and play around in the snow.

A few students tested to see if they could make a snowman. Helping each other build and roll it. Trying to make it pretty big so it would be hard to knock down if someone walked by and decided they really disliked the poor snowman. Some just walked around in the snow taking in all of the scenery. Then there was the Bakusquad. Mina, Denki, Kirishima, Sero, Bakugou and (Y/N). Every one of them had decided on also making a snowman since it seemed like a fun challenge to try and make it as big as they could. Bakugou disagreed upon making one and just stood out of the way watching them. After a bit he started arguing with everyone, saying they were doing something wrong or it wasn’t looking like a snowman anymore. The arguing never stopped but it did escalate a little bit resulting in Bakugou throwing snow at Denki. Mina thought this was turning into a game and she threw a snowball at Bakugou who was more infuriated. “Snowball Fight!”, Mina shouts, raising her arms in the air in glee. Every head turns to see snowballs beginning to start flying. It looked like fun and everyone else started to join in the snowball fight. Laughing and smiles spread like wildfire across the campus field.

You got hit in the back of the head with a snowball and turn to see who thrown it. Kirishima was behind you smiling, shrugging like he was sorry but not sorry. “Oh, it’s on!”, you said, grabbing some snow, packing it into a ball, and throwing it his way. Kiri dodges the snowball and runs to make some distance between the two of you. Grabbing some snow, packing it and throwing it towards you over his shoulder. You laugh as you dodge that attack this time and pack some more snow into your hands.

The whole time it felt like it was just you and Kirishima throwing snowballs at each other. Everyone off on their own attacking the group or trying to build forts as they started to team up. Slowly becoming less of a free for all. But you and Kiri kept throwing snowballs one after another at each other. No one in the crossfire to take a hit. Just you and him laughing and smiling. It was the best feeling in the world to spend time with Kirishima. You liked him. You fell hard for him. You couldn’t even deny it because he was such a good person. He wanted to protect people and was even kind to the biggest jerk in the world. You loved that about him.

Your thought process had slowed your reaction time and your awareness of reality. You were pretty close to Kirishima, having sped up to get a direct attack so he wouldn’t dodge it this time. But that and your daydreaming had you trip into someone. Both of you falling towards the ground. Them on their back and you on top of them on your front. It was a bit of an awkward position but you can always apologize. Until you looked to see who you fell on. Your face goes red like his hair, making you warm up and feel a little dizzy. He laughed lightly seeing where you two were now, but then stopped when he sees your face. “What’s wrong (Y/N)? Are you catching a cold?”, Kirishima asked with concern for you. You were going to say yeah and nod, but you could get it out except this; “Iloveyou”. It was so quick not even a person with a speed quirk would be able to comprehend it. “What was that?”, Kirishima asked confused. He heard a little bit of it but not the whole thing because of how jumbled the words sounded. You sigh. You said it and now you couldn’t take it back. So you gulped down your fear and replied, “I love you Kirishima”. You could only slightly glance at his face before looking a little away. Not wanting to face rejection. You felt a hand cupping your chin between a thumb and index finger, then making you look at Kirishima. He looked so kind with his eyes softly looking into yours. It made your heartache because you were so nervous and were thinking he was going to reject you. But his lips uplift in a smile. “I love you too (Y/N). will you be my girlfriend?”, Kirishima asked the question and had gladly accepted your confession with open arms. Your cheeks heat up more as you nod and reply happily, “yes. Yes, a million times yes”. Kirishima smiled happily, then leaned his head forward and captures your lips in a sweet short kiss. It left your lips tingling and kinda wanting to kiss again. But you decided to get up and let Kirishima get up too since you two were probably laying the snow for a bit longer than it was necessary. The afterglow of the confession leaves you both warm cheeked and smiling like goofballs.

“Kirishima and (Y/N). sitting in a tree. K I S S I N G”, Mina and Denki sang not too far away. It made Kiri’s and your head turn to the group who you both had forgotten was close by. “Find a room you two!”, Sero smiled, being lighter hearted about the teasing than the other two. Surprisingly Bakugou wasn’t yelling or teasing about it. He just looked like he was staring off into space and comprehending what happened. Mina and Denki were still singing the song childishly. Taunting you and Kirishima. You picked up some snow and shaped it into a ball, then threw it at Denki first. It hits in the face because he wasn’t paying attention to dodge at all. Kirishima high fived you, “nice shot!”. Then he throws his own snowball at the group. “Ah! Run! We’ve been betrayed by two doves!”, Mina shouts as she retreats back towards the half made snowmen they were once working on before the snowball fight began. Thus started a snowball fight in a snowball fight.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You were drying your hair in your shared bedroom with Denki, having taken a shower already since Denki didn’t want to take one with you. He’s been putting off things you two usually did together. Sometimes he gets up during the night leaving the bed. Whenever you asked why he did these things you got the answers saying hero work or something on his mind. You didn’t bother too much about it but it was slowly eating at you until you couldn’t take no more.

You could hear the water running in the bathroom, telling you Denki was busy. Then you look over at his charging phone on his bedside table. It wouldn’t hurt, right? Just a peek. You told yourself things to make you feel better about being one of those paranoid girlfriends rifling through their boyfriend’s phones. Putting in the pin number, then tap the message app. It opens up to show Denki’s recent texts. A few were his friends like Bakugou, Mina, Kirishima, and Sero. people you knew. But there was one person who you didn’t recognize. So you open the chat and flip up to the past messages to start at the beginning. Your eyes read through every word, slowly feeling a breaking feeling inside your chest. You felt betrayed from just reading the messages that you were probably not meant to look at yet you did thinking it’d be okay. Originally thinking you could ease the feeling of paranoia but to end up feeling you’re heartbreaking.

Denki walked out of the bathroom with some shorts on and drying off his hair messily. He wasn’t looking at you who were waiting for him standing with his phone in hand. “Who’s (Enemy’s name)?”, you asked him, venom laced in your words. “Wh-what?”, Denki looked at you with slight surprise, forgetting about drying his hair off. Your anger built up when he gives you that confused blank look that made you feel like he was playing and knew what you were talking about. “You talked with her for months and she’s definitely not just a friend”, You decided to continue to tell him, wanting him to explain himself. You could now see the gears actually working in his head now. His eyes glancing at his phone in your hand. “You went through my phone?”, he was calm until he started to scowl, “Why would you go through my phone?!”. “I wanted to ease my paranoia in hopes you were telling me the truth. I’ve asked you about your behavior before and you told me things that I believed!”, the waterworks were beginning to work, “only to find that my paranoia wasn’t just paranoia but a gut feeling that felt through all your lies”. “You’re overreacting (Y/N)!”, he shouts, “I never cheated on you”. “Then what was all the flirting messages between her and you? Huh?”, you asked, sick of him trying to cover up the truth, “I saw all those messages and you can’t tell me there wasn’t something going on between her and you!”. You open his phone and show him the messages you have read, wanting him to see the truth and stop lying to you and himself about what really was happening. He goes to grab the phone but you held onto it tightly. It turned into a tug of war. “I never lied to you. Those calls at night were my work calling and telling me my changed hours”, Denki tells you, still trying to get the phone from your grasp. “Oh? Then why does your phone also say you called her? Huh?”, you countered, having looked at much more than those messages. You had desperately search for something to tell you it was all just a joke between friends. But all signs were pointing to lies and secrets. “(Enemy’s name) wouldn’t have broken a promise or my trust (Y/N). she’s better than you”, Denki spoke with anger. The phone slips out of both your grasps, crashing to the floor. Smashing its screen like a spider web. The messages still viewable and vibrant past the cracks. The tears that had threatened to spill down your cheeks had poured over like a damn. You wished he didn’t mean it or apologized. But the glare you were receiving from him said he wasn’t sorry at all. It told you that you had to leave. Never come back despite him always treating you nicely and being kind. You had never expected him to cheat at all. Everything was turning upside down for you and it wouldn’t stop getting worse. It kept digging a hole in your chest and your aching heart begged you to run and leave. “You know what…”, You surprisingly spoke quietly, “…We’re done. I’m done. I thought you were the one for me. But apparently, I’m not for you. I hope your happy with the choices you’ve made”. With that you leave the bedroom, grab your purse and walk out of the apartment door. Not looking back at him nor hearing him calling out for you to come back. It was better this way.

Months later you had gotten a new boyfriend, having moved on from Denki officially. You two had gone on a few nice dates before officially started to date. You found out a lot about him and he was super sweet and loved animals. He even worked down at the animal shelter when he wasn’t working or spending time with friends, family and you. Just an all around good guy and knew how to communicate his feelings and ideas with you when he needed to.

One day you two went out on a date, walking around the park. Laughing and smiling together. Just enjoying the nice warm day and the scenery around you. But off in the distance, Denki was sitting alone. He had come to the park just to chill since he had nothing else to do. Only to see you there with someone else. It made him remember what had happened after that fight which afterward you never spoke to him again. The second you walked out that apartment door he broke down and lost his anger. He was hurt finally seeing he had made the false choice of lying to you and cheating on you with that other girl. Denki even stopped talking to the girl and said their chats were over for good. If he even saw a message from the girl he’d throw his phone across the room in anger. But not only did he felt the guilt from just losing you. He lost a few friends. Kirishima was very angry when he found out about Denki cheating on you (since you probably told Kiri yourself). Anyone would have thought Bakugou and Kirishima switched bodies with how much Kiri blew up in Denki’s face about the whole situation. Surprisingly Bakugou just ended up stop talking to Denki once Bakugou found out too. Mina and Sero weren’t too happy either. They were more nice about it but for a while, they refused to talk to him until he confessed he was sorry and wanted to redeem himself. Though wanting to redeem himself didn’t bring you back nor would it probably ever. You moved on and now he was alone…sitting on a bench watching you laugh and smile with another man who was better than him in almost every way.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Before any signs of him liking you happened, he was nice to everyone. Maybe a little shy but very friendly.
When he started getting a crush on you, he’d blush around you and be extra nice
His feeling grew and grew until they felt like they were going to burst out of him. That’s when the overflow of love began and his jealous towards others grew alongside it.
Izuku grew a bit distance from his friends, often trying to spend time with you as a friend (for now).
He’d make you laugh and smile, never showing signs of his true desires and affection towards you.
However, when others tried to join he’d grow a little shy, least to everyone else. Secretly he was jealous and angry that this person interferes with his time with you.
Time continues on and he acts like your best friend in the whole wide world. Listening to you, making you laugh and smile, and just hanging out with you.
But without your knowledge, he was also getting more information about you.
Sneaking into your bedroom when you weren’t around and checking everything. Seeing what you liked.
He even follows you home after dark to make sure you got home safe. But at times he’d linger and watch you through your bedroom window.
One day Izuku walks up to you, slightly nervous. He confesses his love to you.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”, he finally asks.
He was the sweetest, generous and well-behaved boy you’ve ever met. So how could you say no to him?
You both then began to date and the signs of his true affection start to bleed in.
He’d act clingy, wanting you to stay and hang out with him longer. Insist on you staying home with him rather than go with friends.
However, the way he said it made you not want to say no. there couldn’t be possibly anything wrong with this?
When people got into the mix it became way more noticeable.
He’d make sure you were farther away from the person and was holding your hand. Like he was holding you back from a dangerous villain.
Times continues and the signs grew brighter.
He wouldn’t interact with anyone except you and he expected the same with you. Trying to keep you in the house and away from your classmates and friends. Sometimes even your family.
You told him you needed your space one day and he broke. Something snapped in his eyes and the kind nice boy you knew was gone.
He became sickly sweet, giving you pet names and trying to manipulate you with his words. Telling you how much better it’d be if it was just you and him.
There was a couple of days where you were able to escape the house and go hang out with other people like your friends and family.
However, when he found out about this he had threatened those who were close to you. Telling them to stay away from you.
The next time you met your friends they didn’t look at you and walked away, breaking your heart and making you feel alone.
Having nowhere else to go you go back to the house where Izuku was waiting for you.
“You are mine, and mine alone (Y/N). I will protect you from everyone and everything”, he told you.
After that, you hadn’t been able to leave him since.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You liked to break rules. It just what you liked to do. Getting your blood pumping, a drive that felt good.
Iida disapproves of your rule breaking and rebellious attitude.
He tries to tell you that it was a good habit and there were plenty more things that could help get the drive you were looking for without getting in trouble.
You laughed him off with a bright smile and just say it was okay as long as you didn’t get caught.
You're the master of sneaking around the dorm buildings and the school now.
Able to get down to the common room for a snack way past curfew. Skipping class. And a few other things that involved getting around.
Sometimes you’d try and get Iida to come with you to skip class, but he refuses every time. Always telling you; “as a class representative that would be a bad move. I am a remodel to the class”.
One time he did join past curfew to get a snack, but only to keep you out of more trouble. He knew you liked to do more than one act at these times.
There was one time where you TPed the living room while everyone was sleeping. No one found out who did it for a long time.
You also liked to ask Iida if you could sleep in his dorm room instead of yours. He was wary and slightly embarrassed when you first asked.
He usually refuses to allow you to sleep in the same dorm room as him, but there are some exceptions.
During the winter, a power outage happened and there weren’t any heaters around. So Iida allowed you to keep warm with him, being a gentlemen doing so.
When you are able to go into his dorm room (which is when he’s not sleeping), you often go into his dresser when he wasn’t looking and steal a shirt or two.
Wearing his clothes during the night felt nice to you since you weren’t able to sleep with him. You’d give him back the clothing all washed, just like he liked them.
All your rebellious behaviors toward him or asking him to join wasn’t out of bad intent. You actually just wanted to spend time with him and get him to let loose at least once or twice.
You never forced him to do anything he didn’t want to, which he was glad for.
Iida may dislike your behavior but he knew you're not doing it to peer pressure him, just being loving in your own way.
And he liked that you were not a negative rebellious teen. You were kind and had manners, unlike Bakugou, his number one nemesis when it came to every single rule.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Your close to your family which consists of your parents, siblings, and grandparents.
You may have a slight rivalry with your siblings but you still look out for each other, especially when someone else that isn’t part of the family starts to pick on or harass one of them or you.
Your parents are chill, letting you be independent as well as your other siblings. They still cared for all of you, however, they didn’t keep a tight leash as some parents might have.
Your grandparents are awesome, they tell all kinds of stories when you come over to visit. Every day you learn something new about them or your parents.
The first time you brought Shoto with you to your parent’s home, you were worried. Your family could be a bit rowdy at first sight.
You warned him your family was a bit weird, he didn’t seem to mind that fact and just went with you no matter what.
The second your family got the news they were going to be meeting Shoto, your boyfriend, for the first time, they made sure it was a special occasion.
They cooked dinner, almost banquet sized portions. Things were cleaned a little bit more than they were on an average day. They seemed to genuinely take meeting Shoto seriously.
Shoto was shocked and in wonder as he walked into the large house filled with people and the wonderful smell of a homecooked meal. It wasn’t often he got to see this in his own home.
He enjoyed the meal your parents and grandparents made for the occasion. Shoto even had seconds, especially when your grandmother kept telling him he could eat as much as he wanted.
He cracked a smile when your grandparents were telling stories about the heroes back in their day compared to now. It seems some things never really changed.
Your siblings were even welcoming, but still teased you and him a little since a few of them were younger than you and still haven’t considered themselves dating anyone. So there was often an “Ewww, gross” or “K.I.S.S.I.N.G” whenever you and Shoto did something together in their presence.
Shoto didn’t mind your siblings’ teasing, it was very different from how his siblings behaved since he was the youngest and he really didn’t see some of his siblings often.
When the day ended and Shoto and you had to leave, he thanked your family for letting him into his home. They offered to have him over more often which he gladly accepted.
So now, almost every weekend you and Shoto go over to your parent’s house for dinner to see the family when you could.
It seemed Shoto was already part of the family.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

One of your friends had not taken the hint of ‘your single’ and decided to hook you up with some random person you didn’t know. So now you had to head to a date that was prepaid and probably won’t end well. Yay…

You sat alone a romantic table for two. It was far away from the other tables to give privacy. Candles were lit and a vase of a few roses sat in front of you in the center of the table. The whole room in the restaurant was just as grand and you wondered how much you friend spent on you just to get the renovations. If this wasn’t a blind date you would have enjoyed the scenery more rather than be nervous about who your date was and when they’d get here.

When your date finally got there they sat down and looked at you with this charming smile. It made you cringe a little since you barely knew them and they didn’t apologize for being late. Kind of an asshole move in your eyes. “Hey baby, you got here early? Really wanted to see me that bad huh?”, they said, winking at you. You were offended but didn’t show it. All you could wonder is what did your friend tell this person.

The person hadn’t stopped with the cheesy pick-up lines and remarks towards you throughout half of the date. You had eaten dinner and hadn’t gotten dessert, which you were looking forward to because that ended the night. The faster this went the better you’d feel. But your original waiter seemed to have other plans. Either being way too busy or ditching you because of the person sitting across from you. Now you got a new waiter, however, you couldn’t complain. His hair and eyes were gorgeous in your eyes and you felt like you could easily pick him out of a crowd. The way he said his name with such a clam domineer had you sitting on the edge of your seat hoping for something to get your mind off this awful date. You tried giving your best-hidden pleading face to the new waiter who wished to be called Todoroki. He glanced at you, seeming to acknowledge your silent cry for help. But you couldn’t tell if he really knew because he played secretly very well. Asking for your dessert order. The person who you were on a blind date with refused dessert, but you asked for the special dessert today. You couldn’t help to ask for the dessert. It looked so good on the menu and who knows when you’ll ever get to try something like it ever again. Todoroki nods then leave with your order, leaving you alone with the asshole sitting across from you. The asshole got right into making comments to you which makes you silently sigh and barely noticeable drop your shoulders. Though it wasn’t long before Todoroki came back. But he was just going to be walking by, holding a tray of a single class of what appeared to be white wine. When he ‘trips’ it surprises you since you hadn’t expected it. The glass of white wine spills all over your friend’s dress which they let you borrow. You begin to believe this was no accident since there seemed to be nothing the graceful beautiful man in front of you could have tripped on. You weren’t sure yet though as Todoroki had grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket and placed it over where the white wine had spilled on your dress. “I’m terribly sorry miss. Here, let me help you clean up the stain in the back room. We have a special stain remover there”, He gives you his hand, looking at you expectantly. Your pray must have been answered by this angel because you take that hand gladly and thank him.

Todoroki leads you back into the employee’s only door, leaving the asshole of a date alone at the table. Once you were safe in that room you smiled at Todoroki, “thank you so much. I don’t know what I would have done without you helping me”. “Of course. I’ve seen so many women in the worst dates here before. I have never been able to help, but I couldn’t let you go through like the rest”, He said to you. “Well, that makes you my hero then, huh?”, You smile happily, feeling special to him after he tells you that. “I don’t know about being a hero. But that reminds me… I’m a waiter and I haven’t served you your order yet”, He side steps, showing off a table which was behind him. It wasn’t anything fancy but it did have a small vase with a single rose and a little candle much like the table out in the main room of the restaurant. With the decorations, there was also a plate of the special dessert you ordered. Your eyes light up in excitement. You could hardly believe he went through all that trouble to get you away from that asshole but also set up a table for you to enjoy your dessert. He really was your hero.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The look of utter defeat was on his face as he stared at the nearest wall. A sag of his shoulders, sore from the rigorous missions Shigaraki has him go on. It felt like a wild goose chase for him sometimes. Sometimes it’s not even a real mission just something to get Dabi away from the leader since Shigaraki really disliked him. Though there was a good side to everything. Having you there when he comes back always makes his deadpan look give off a little smile. Uplifting his spirits with just a glance as you always seem to know when he was having a bad day.

You walked over to him as he sits down on the old couch in the little bar hang out area of the villain base. Sitting next to him, facing towards him to give him your full attention. “Hard day?”, you asked gently, gaining a small nod from Dabi. Frowning slightly, you gently place a hand on the cheek not facing you then turned his stare towards you. “You wanna talk about it?”, you asked, offering comfort with communication. He nods yes again, but then wraps an arm around you as he buries his face into the crook of your neck. He was warm and smelled like ash, a familiar smell to you know… his smell. Something that always comforted you just as much your gentle voice and touch did to him. Not speaking for a bit, you just hold him in your arms. Soothingly rubbing his back as he nuzzled his nose against your neck. Dabi lets out a shaky breath, just letting it all out of his system before he pulls back from your comforting hug.

“Thank you”, he replied softly. “Of course Dabi, I could never leave you upset. You deserve to be happy no matter what”, you tell him sweetly, caressing his scarred cheek. He leans into your touch, smiling gently. You had left your hand on his cheek and he turns his head and kisses your palm like a charming gentleman. The smile forming on your lips couldn’t be helped as he had given you a look with love in his eyes after that little kiss. “I’m always happy when your around (Y/N)”, he replied with his own smile forming.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You always felt this deep emptiness inside you. It wasn’t sorrow, but a tiredness of life. Unhappy with how your life has turned out and no longer enjoying the things you once loved dearly. It hurt to know what you couldn’t simply enjoy life anymore now that this weight was pulling on your heart and mind. Slowly pulling you down and leaving you behind everyone. So far no one seemed to understand your feelings anymore. These feelings festered inside you for months and months. The pain only grew and grew. Soon scars rapidly spread across your once smooth skin. And when the deed was done, you couldn’t stop. So the scars continued to expand and stretch across your skin in pink and red stripes. You could no longer wear t-shirts, trying to cover up the scars. Fearing what people would think if they saw them.

Meanwhile, Kirishima begins to wake up almost every day with flowers growing on his arms. He couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason why. With the world filled with many students wanting to be heroes and quirk users, there could be multiple reasons as to why. The bond doesn’t know the difference between quirk harm (which isn’t actual harm like mutation or body manipulation quirks) and physical harm as much as known from research. So Kirishima was left curious and covered in many flowers every day because someone out there was his soulmate and they were somehow getting injured a lot.

One day he takes his day off to wander the streets of the city. Relaxing and exploring, trying to ease his curiosity in some way. It was nearly impossible to find your soulmate right away. That morning he had received a couple more flowers on his arms, in which he hadn’t snipped off at all yet. In some way to him, it felt like a need to keep them all day then snip them off at night to let new ones grow the next day. The cycle had never stopped and he hasn’t either. Kirishima kept with it in hopes every day to find who his soulmate was so he could no longer feel that burning curiosity as to why the flowers grew every day.

You had walked down the street looking down at your feet with earbuds in your ears. Not paying attention to anyone or anything around you. wanting to drown the awful day just like the rest of the days before. You kept walking and walking, seeming to have nowhere to go. Suddenly you felt a strong pull on your forearm. You snapped your eyes open wide in panic as you turn your head to look at who was pulling you. The redhead before you looked almost like he had his own panic attack, giving you eyes that were full of concern. You had never seen anyone give you this look like that before. Pulling out your earbuds, finally able to hear what was going on. “Are you alright ma’am? you should watch where you're going. you could have been really hurt”, the redhead told you, voice holding fearful concern. You hadn’t known what happened but by the looks of it and where you were on the edge of the sidewalk near a crosswalk, you had walked out at the wrong time and this redhead saved you. “I’m okay, thanks”, You reply softly, slightly hissing as the searing pain of your scars begin to get to you after that pull. He was still holding onto your forearm and you pull away rather fast. The redhead gave you a confused look then looked to your arm then your face.

“Are you hurt?”, Kirishima asked you. He was concerned for your well being since he was naturally caring towards others. The fast nod of your head made him feel like something was wrong still even if his concern felt almost annoying. You were turning away but he quickly takes a hold of your upper arm this time, stopping you in your tracks. “Please, how about we talk? over some coffee? I know this really nice cafe nearby”, Kirishima tried, hoping to talk with you and figure out what was wrong. It wasn’t often someone nearly walked out into the road without even looking up once. He could see you visible sigh, your shoulders lowering in a slight sag before replying, “sure”.

The two of you head to a coffee shop just down the street, this time crossing safely. He had given his name and you gave yours, finally not being full strangers since he was buying you a drink of your choice. Once you got your orders you take a table and sit across from each other to begin talking. It felt a little awkward to you, but you being to notice more features about him. His pointed teeth, ruby red eyes, muscular toned build and… flowers on his forearms. You couldn’t believe you didn’t see that. And there was so many (Your Favorite Flower) growing from his arm. Though it was odd that it was (Your Favorite Flower) because those were your favorite type of flowers! You give him a wide-eyed look as you look between the flowers and his face. Disbelief and curiosity crossing your features noticeably. Kirishima noticed the look you were giving him and he looks down at the flowers growing on his forearms, “oh, these. They’re from the bond I share with my soulmate. Haven’t found them yet though. But hoping”. He was very confident and positive minded about that. You could tell with the big smile he was giving you. Barely knowing this guy and you already were starting to enjoy his company. Thoughts of him possibly being your soulmate crossed your mind. It wouldn’t be weird really after all. You had scars on your forearm and he had flowers growing from his forearms. Plus the flowers were your favorite kind. Before saying anything about it you pointed up at his scar right above his eye, “nice scar, where did you get it?”. Kirishima was surprised by your question but smiles brightly and answers aesthetically, “I go when I was younger. A little before the double digits”. You remembered you had grown a flower when you were younger, assumingly around the same time you did. You look at him seriously, “if I told you I got a flower in the same spot when I was younger. How would you react?”. Kirishima’s eyes light up in interest, sitting on the edge of his seat, “I would ask you why your arms would always get injured every day”. You hadn’t expected that sitting back. You had never realized what impact you would have gaining those scars, especially each and every day. Imagining those flowers growing on him every day you gain a scar made you a little sick. You had not meant to hurt or affect anyone else by doing it, just for yourself to feel something other than pain. He looked at you still interested, waiting for you to answer patiently. It was too much to keep the secret anymore and you let it spill, “I… I’ve gotten them from myself. I would show you but… not here”. You were slightly hesitant about speaking about it for this was the first time you would watch someone react to you confessing to your actions. Kirishima’s smile dropped, starting to realize what that meant. He looked at your arm with a sorrowful look, then back up at your face. “Did I hurt you when I grabbed your arm?”, Kiri asked you. It also surprised you but you replied honestly, nodding a yes. “I’m sorry. How about we go dress them properly and maybe I could help you figure a way to stop?”, Kirishima was slightly hesitant, unsure if it was okay to ask this. Your worry from before of telling anyone washes away as he continues to respond positively, concerned and wanting to help you. Not telling you were sick or wanting attention. Just being a kind person. You couldn’t help the small smile from forming upon your lips, “sure”. Kirishima gives you a determined look, “I’ll make sure you're safe and happy again, even if the process is long. I won’t give up”. These words make your heart swell with a happiness and hope you hadn’t felt in a long time. Tears sprout from your eyes as you smile. The waterworks coming from you make Kirishima panic a little, asking you if you were okay. But you didn’t respond except with a big smile and more tears. Finally coming over to his side of the table and giving him a long deserved hug for his hospitality. He had saved you in more than one way that day.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Todoroki was taking you to a little restaurant. Nothing too fancy but something nice for your date. He opens the door for you like a gentleman before walking into the little restaurant after you. Once inside you could see it was not all that busy and it was simply beautiful. Shoto asks about the renovation he had made had the restaurant and the host gladly takes you two to your seat. Which happened to be a two person table with a nice small flower centerpiece.

You both looked at the menu and talked a little. “So how’s training going Shoto?”, you asked, smiling as you glanced down the menu, trying to spot something that peeked your appetite. “It’s fine but not as challenging as I hoped”, Shoto replied. “Oh? Why’s that?”, you asked, kinda already knowing the answer but you were having a conversation. “We’re reviewing the basics”, he didn’t seem all too happy about reviewing. But it did leave him free in the afternoon after classes so you weren’t complaining about it. “Don’t worry, once you fly through it you’ll get to the advanced stuff”, You looked at the bright side, making him smile a little. The waiter comes around and you both order drinks and the meal right away, already knowing what you wanted.

“Quiet down, do you wanna get caught?”, Iida whisper/shouted at Izuku and Uraraka. “Your the only loud one here Iida”, Uraraka whisper/shouted back. There was a little bit more of an argument but none of it was incoherent to you and Shoto. Once you both heard Iida you glance over a table nearby up against the wall for up to four people. The look you and Shoto gave the three of them, said you both were unamused to their antics. “Why are you three here?”, Shoto asked the group calmly. Iida instantly throws the other two under the bus, “I told them this was morally wrong and that we should not follow the both of you tonight when it was your time together”. It was obvious why Iida came along with the other two; to keep them out of trouble. This was Iida’s answer to every time the group was caught or he was just following some of his classmates who happened to get in trouble. “Leave, all of you. We’ll talk to you later”, Shoto tells the group. They nod, frowns all on their faces as they get up and leave the restaurant. Leaving you and Shoto to your date.

“What are we even going to tell them Shoto?”, You asked, raising an eyebrow in question. “I don’t know, probably to tell them to not follow us again next time”, He shrugs, unsure really. “This is the third time they did this Shoto. We need to either bring them next time ourselves or find a place where they will not follow us”, You replied, deadpan expression on your face. “Like a group hang out? But that wouldn’t be a date”, Shoto was now questioning. “It’ll probably get them to stop following us. Then maybe later we can hang out. Movie night or something at one of our houses”, you replied, thinking this through a little bit. After all the three friends probably wanted to see how the relationship between you and Todoroki was going. They were just curious teenagers who happened to be both of your friends, nothing bad was going to really come out of that.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You had this terrible fever for the last couple days, a result of getting sick since your quirk didn’t make you immune or durable towards small viruses. It has only gotten a little worse since the beginning but you tried your best to pull through classes and studying. While you were sick not many people wanted to be around you except Shoto. He said he couldn’t sick as far as he knew so he helped you study often the past couple of days.

Today was one of those days he was helping you study. The both of you sitting on your bed with all kinds of textbooks laid before you. Most of which you borrowed from Tenya since he had multiple copies of some volumes of study books. Which in a way was kind of weird but a lifesaver for you and any other student in class 1-A.

You two study for a couple of hours until Shoto thought it was about bedtime for the both of you. He picks up the textbooks and moves them off the bed, saying his brief goodbye before trying to head out the door. “Wait”, you suddenly cry, wobbly getting on your feet. You felt really light headed and delirious, probably the fever affecting your tired body finally. He turns and looks at you, seeing what you wanted. “Please stay… I can’t sleep sometimes with this fever going on”, you asked of him, despite your usual better judgment of rules. Shoto seemed to debate for a second or two before walking towards you. He places his left hand on your forehead, checking your temperature. He moves his hand like you burned him, “you're really burning up. Lay down”. You lay down on the bed as he goes around your room turning off lights and all electronics that wasn’t your phone. He came back over once he finished that, laying down next to you and holding you close. Using a bit of his right side to cool you down and let you relax finally. Sighing in slight relief, you close your eyes as you doze off. Finally falling asleep without a problem during this sickness.

In the next couple of days, you had gotten way better and the fever had gone away, however, Todoroki had gotten sick. His nose was red, face flushed with a fever, and he looked very tired like he hadn’t gotten much sleep. You were concerned instantly because you thought you had gotten him sick when he laid down with you and helped you through your fever that one night. So that day you decided to get some things to give to him tomorrow.

You had made a chicken noodle soup with a slight twist. Adding some vegetables he had mentioned he liked and a good amount of rice rather than noodles. Then you brought it into class with you the next morning after finding out Shoto was sick. He was sitting in his seat staring off into space as you walked up to him with the container of the food you made last night for him. You had the wave a hand in front of his face to get his attention, “hey, Shoto. I made you this. I hope you feel better”. Handing over the container in which he takes and looks at it in curiosity. His flushed cheeks got more colored at the wonderful gift which really meant a lot to him. “Thank you”, Shoto replied rather quietly, almost shyly. But his voice was clear so you didn’t notice the slight shyness about it. “Awww”, Mina awed at the obvious affection both you and Shoto have for each other. “That’s so cute you two”, Momo said, pointing out the affection going on in the classroom to everyone. You were surprised anyone had noticed, then again you were in the classroom close to class time. “Woah! Shoto gots a girlfriend?”, Sero teases with his tone. “Haha, I thought you gave the cold shoulder to all the ladies”, Denki also teases Shoto. It was kinda out of fun but the joke Denki made gotten him a look from Shoto that quieted Pikachu down. This was gonna be the talk for the next few days most likely unless of course, something happens before lunch.

At the end of the day, Shoto had knocked on your dorm door. “Shoto? What is it?”, you asked, having to open your door to see him standing there. “I can’t sleep, I was wondering if I could sleep with you”, he was speaking softly, not wanting anyone to hear him since most were asleep or pretending to be. “Sure, come on in”, you let him into your dorm room, closing the door behind him. He instantly slinks over to your bed and lays down. Groaning almost silently as he feels the soft mattress underneath him. You smiled and climbed in beside him. Wrapping your arms around him like he did a few a days ago to help you fall asleep. Though his warmth only made you sleepy, probably gonna make you fall asleep before him. Shoto glanced over at you, seeing that you were almost asleep. He couldn’t help but smile as he looked at you. You looked at peace holding him before you went to sleep. “I love you (Y/N)”, Shoto whispered into your ear then closed his eyes. You replied with a bit of a grumble, “Love you too”.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Shoto was carrying Kosei, a student from class 2-B. He was unconscious while slowing Todoroki down due to the weight. “who was ahead of us?”, Shoto asked, whispering to keep their cover as they head towards the facility to regroup. “Tokoyami and Shoji”, you answered his question, “but we can't go back. We need to keep moving in case a villain is nearby”. Shoto nods as they all keep moving, Bakugou surprisingly quiet.

Suddenly movement came along as this villain comes out of nowhere over the tree line. Using what seemed to be their quirk which extended their steel like teeth. They were dressed all in black and looked like they just came from an insane asylum. “I'll blow ‘im up”, Bakugou rashly growls, ready to use his quirk. “no! We're in an enclosed space. It'll hurt both us and damage our path to the facility”, Shoto countered, glaring at his classmate. The villain closed in on them, and Shoto used his ice since he couldn't do anything else. “run, we need to keep moving”, Shoto advised and the group runs. The villain breaks the ice with their quirk easily and starts to catch up the the group. You look back and see the villain try and pierce Shoto. Pushing Shoto out of the way you take the hit for him. Your shoulder being pierced to the bone, making you grit your teeth in agony. “(Y/N)!”, Shoto exclaims, eyes wide as he stares in horror at you. “keep running! I'll hold him back for you. Just go! Quickly”, You tell him. Shoto looks you in the eye for a few seconds, then nods. “come on Bakugou, we need to go”, Shoto calls to Bakugou then the both of them flee the scene. You quickly dodge another attack from the villain who just seems like they'd attack anyone who was closest to it. Your shoulder may have hurt but Shoto would have and has done the same for you. This was how you'd repay him.

Not a lot of time has passed and the fight had ended, the villains either defeated or escaped. Blue flames still engulfing part of the forest in the distance. You were sitting against a tree, injured and bleeding out. it was really nothing too serious but it hurt more as the adrenalin slowly dims down in your veins. You were able to take down the villain all by yourself by the cost of unable to walk and find the others. But it seemed they were looking for you, or least Shoto was. He walked out of some brush and quickly rushes over and kneels beside you. “are you alright?”, He asked, trying to keep his usual calm as he worries about you. “I'm… fine”, You groaned, feeling the pain which was searing like fire. Shoto touches a few of your wounds and places a thin layer of ice over them. “why did you risk yourself for us? For me?”, He asked. “you would have done the same for me if you weren't carrying that injured person. Just like you always do for me”, you replied, giving him a look that said you looked up to him and cared for him. Told him he was a person that you loved in so many ways to the point of risking your life to save him. Shoto smiles softly and gives you a light hug, “you worried me though. I don't like to see you get hurt”. “it's part of our job as heroes and we have to have each other backs no matter what. But you, I'd do it for even if I wasn't a hero”, You tell him, kind of confessing your love for him. Shoto leaned and leaves a sweet short kiss upon your lips, then pulls away, “your the most heroic girl I've ever met and love”. He then picks you up bridal style and carries you back to the group to tend to your wounds.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Bakugou started to hang out with you more. Studying, lunch, and just wandering around the city. And whenever he and you are completely alone he treats you differently than he does in public. He'd let loose. Intentionally make you laugh and smile. There was even this one time he placed a kiss on your forehead as a form of a goodbye. It left you confused and wanting more all at the same time. You'd ask him about it and he'd tell you he was just treating you more like a friend. However, the fuzzy feeling inside of you said otherwise.

Denki, Mina, Sero, Kirishima, Bakugou and you were hanging out in the school cafeteria. It was the usual. Cracking jokes, talking about training or other things you'd do with friends. But the one thing you were looking at was Bakugou. He acted as normal as every, like way before he had started to treat you differently in private. You wondered if he just didn't like visual signs of affection in public. He always seemed to hate it when couples kiss, hold hands or hug. Or just in general any affection, he disliked to see or feel in public. Knowing this made you feel lost but you still felt feelings for him even if he was in a way of playing with your emotions.

Later that day you and Bakugou were sitting in his room studying for one of the big tests your class was going to be taking. Written tests were awful because they were no fun and you couldn’t always do your best due to many factors. Physical tests felt easier for you plus they often put you in groups for those. You were growing tired from studying, leaning your head to the side onto Bakugou’s shoulder since he was laying next to you. He didn’t shrug you off like he did when the group hanged out with the both of you. Just relaxed and let you lean on him as his eyes scanned over the notes he had taken in class. “Bakugou…?”, you asked, hesitating since you were gonna ask that burning question on your mind. “What?”, he grumbled, still his usual self but a little softer. “What are we?”, you asked. He looked at you, brows furrow, “what do you mean by that?”. You glanced to the side, avoiding his red gaze, “I mean our relationship”. “We’re friends, jeez. Can’t settle on my first fucking answer”, he was now being dismissive, trying to act all tough like he did around the group. But you knew there was something more than what he tells you. His gentle actions speak louder than words to you. “Then why do you let me study with you even though you tell Kirishima you want to be left alone? He’s your best friend”, you questioned, wanting answers. “Shitty hair doesn’t even study”, Bakugou replies. Your eyebrows furrow a little more, feeling irritated. “What about the touches and goodbye kisses?”, you finally asked. He looks at you, eyes slightly wide. Bakugou glanced away as if trying to visibly look for an escape. Then he looks down at his textbook and sighs in irritation, “I like you…. Okay? Just don’t go telling everyone about it…”. Bakugou confessed with a light blush. You smiled happily, “then it’ll be our little secret for now”. After that you feel a bit more energy rush through you, the question no longer burning in your mind. You felt at ease and happy even if you were studying, but least it was with someone you loved.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Bakugou yawns as he sits up in the bedroll, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. The morning air was cool. Dew drops covering grass and flowers in the field he and his dragon had set down to camp for the night. His eyes roamed the field for the red scaly beast that appeared to be nowhere to be found. He grumbled to himself, “Stupid shitty beast, wandering off to hell knows where again”. This has been the fifth time this week Kirishima has left in the middle of the night and hasn’t come back before Bakugou wakes up. All Bakugou could do was wait, maybe catch some breakfast, eat and pack up their things to go. But that was it. He couldn’t leave that area without Kirishima otherwise the dragon would never find him.

About an hour later Kirishima comes flying over the treetops of the forest nearby and lands in the field a few feet away from Bakugou. The red scaly beast turns his head towards his friend, grinning with all his sharp pearly white teeth showing. “Where have you been shitty scales? This is the fifth time you’ve done this and I want answers!”, Bakugou instantly yells at his beast companion. Kirishima lowers his head much like a dog would when being scolded, “sorry Bakugou, I couldn’t tell you at first. But I can’t really explain it in words, so…. How about I show you”. Bakugou wanted answers so he didn't complain about how he’d get them, “then go on and show me! We don’t have all day!”. Kirishima lowers his head to allow Bakugou to climb on before he takes off to the skies.

Not too long of a ride, they were heading towards this mountain just beyond the vast forest they were on the edge of. Kirishima lands on this ledge close to the top. There was a cave leading into a cavern within the mountain up there which was obviously where they were heading. “Do you have a gold hoard in there or something?”, Bakugou was quick to guess. Kirishima turns into his half-dragon half-human form before taking the lead into the cave, “No, you’ll see soon”. Inside the cave was dark and a little narrow but there was some light towards the end of it as it opens up to this giant cavern. There were some gold piles around the sides with a few chests. Not as much as most would expect for a dragon such as Kirishima. But something was more valuable to the red beast because in the center of the cavern was a big nest. Kirishima was quick to wander up to the nest and nuzzle someone. Bakugou cautiously came closer. Even though Kirishima was his friend and companion, he was still a dragon. There in the nest laid a woman who was half-dragon half-human with (Your favorite color) scales. She has curled around three eggs of different colors, most likely dragon eggs as Bakugou noticed the little fancy details on the eggs which were a sign of the species type. “(Y/N), time to get up. I’d like you to meet someone”, Kirishima nuzzled the woman again, purring and making a soft chirping nose that dragons liked to do towards beings they were very close to. The half-dragon woman groaned and opened her vibrant glowing eyes. She looked up at Kirishima then at Bakugou. Taken back a bit she quickly sits up in the nest. Kirishima comforts her by saying, “Shh, it’s alright. He’s my best friend. Katsuki Bakugou, the barbarian I’ve told you about”. She calms down and smiles welcomingly towards Bakugou, “nice to meet you”. Bakugou was still standing cautiously near the nest still processing what he was seeing. Kirishima sits next to the half-dragon woman, purring softly. “So… you had a mate and didn’t tell me?”, Bakugou decided to speak up, not yelling or being aggressive. Kirishima nods, rubbing the back of his neck in nervousness, “We have a lot enemies and I don’t want anyone I care about getting hurt, so I didn’t tell you right away”. Bakugou grins, “You could have still shown me sooner! I’m gonna have a giant dragon army!”. He was proud of Kirishima for being a kind gentle giant but he wouldn’t say it out loud. Kirishima and (Y/N) laughs, smiling at the excited barbarian. “Wait till they’re a bit older, then maybe we’ll see about that”, (Y/N) reminds gently, petting the eggs softly with her hand like a proud mother. Kirishima nods, “but don’t worry, they’ll be total badasses like all of us!”. Bakugou smiles, looking at the eggs and the dragon couple before him. He knew Kirishima was happy with both a mate and a best friend by his side, and as Kiri’s friend, he was happy for the red beast.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Little scratching filled the quiet cave in the early cool morning. Kirishima laid beside his mate, you, (Y/N). his and your tails curled around one anothers as you watched the three colorful eggs laying the nest in front of them beginning to crack open. Bakugou was watching with a curious expression, laying on the opposite side of the nest a bit further away from the eggs than the parents. He was still a little cautious with distance.

A little red snout poked out from the fiery orange egg. The little pup snorted and wiggled and scratched further out of the egg. Being one of the first to look around. The first thing it looks for is its parents and coo and chirp at them. You lower your head and lightly rub your nose against the red pup’s. It nuzzled its snout against you desperately looking for affection which it was given gladly by you. Cooing back at your cute little one who was very passionate with their own love, reminding you of Kirishima. When you pull back to watch the other eggs, the little red one wanders over to see Kiri. cooing and looking for more love. Meanwhile, the two other eggs were opening up more. Little paws and snouts peeking out from the cracked shells. A blue scaled pup and a green one were revealed, already cooing out before they open their curious big eyes. You nuzzle both dragons, cooing back to tell them you were there.

After a bit of nuzzling the newborns and letting them get used to their parent and the nest, You stand up. Stretching your big wings and neck a bit before carefully stepping out of the nest. Kirishima didn’t ask where you were going because he already knew. “Where she going?”, Bakugou asked Kiri, still laying down where he was before the newborns hatched. You were heading out of the cave and flew out, spreading your wings wide to dive down into the forest below. “Hunting some food. Dragons aren’t mammals so they can eat anything when they’re newborns. Just be careful, they’ll try to eat things they're not supposed to”, Kirishima reminds and warns Bakugou, taking a father role already. “Like all babies”, Bakugou muttered but was still heard by Kirishima, sounding almost irritated but that’s just how he was. “Exactly, so don’t get your fingers too close. Don’t wanna lose them from dull new teeth. That’ll hurt”, Kirishima beams, showing off his own pearly razor sharp teeth. Bakugou scoffs, rolling his eyes but then curiously watches the pups crawl around in wonder while chirping. The green and blue ones already have made friends and were playing close to where Kirishima was laying. They rolled around in the soft thick hay nest, playfully snarling and pouncing on each other. However, the other one was adventurous, wandering further away from Kirishima than the other two even dared to.

While their siblings were discovering Kirishima’s moving tail, the red pup was peeking over one side of the nest. Looking into the rest of the cave which gleamed with sparkling jewels and gold that Kirishima most likely brought back to create the perfect home for his family and him. It cooed out seeing if anything would respond but nothing did. So the little one moved on. Then its eyes land on Bakugou. Tail swinging back and forth in excitement as they were bounding over towards the barbarian. Bakugou saw this and was cautious. The dragon could have thought him food by accident and just wandered over because of that. However, that thought train was derailed as the little red dragon sat down a few feet in front of Bakugou and began cooing for attention. Kirishima glanced over at his best friend and his red pup. He could see the slight hesitation Bakugou had and urged the blonde, “go ahead, they won’t hurt you”. Bakugou glanced at Kiri then back at the still cooing pup, then moved forward and gently petted their head. The pup responded with a purr as their tail wagged faster, enjoying the affection it was receiving from one who they gained interest towards. Kirishima watched and chuckled, “don’t be shy, they like you”. Bakugou growled and argued, “I’m not shy shitty scales”. Kiri was only teasing and chuckled again at his friend’s small protest. The blonde barbarian kept petting the little pup who just kept getting closer and closer, practically crawling into his lap by now. “Take it easier there fireball! I’m not a jungle gym”, Bakugou kept his tough act but those little nails the pup had was pretty sharp and digging right into his stomach and legs. “Your like part of the family now Bakugou, I don’t think they can help it”, Kirishima laughed as his red pup crawled up and cooed more at Bakugou. They kept asking for more affection, being needy just how newborns usually are. Bakugou froze a bit and glance at Kirishima as he soaked in that information. Part of the family? That was a big step that he never thought would be possible months ago way before the sudden information that his best friend had a mate and eggs. Yet this feeling of pride filled his chest as he glances at the red pup who was absolutely excited to be given the love it deserved from him, Bakugou the fearsome barbarian. He couldn’t possibly think of anything else that made him happier than this moment.

You come back from the hunt later in the afternoon with a decent sized buffalo, meant for everyone in the cave to enjoy as a meal. Once you set the meal down to the side of the cave, you glance over at the nest to see Kirishima in his humanish form with the blue and green pups laying on him asleep and a little bit away from there was Bakugou asleep with a red pup nuzzled right next to him half-asleep. You smile at the scene and were sad you had to ruin it by telling them lunch was here.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Every day the two of you were trying to get by in the society you lived in. You wake up in the small apartment that you both were able to rent with your working pay which was barely anything. Though it doesn’t get you down cause when you wake up, you wake up beside the love of your life.

“Good morning baby”, Bakugou mumbled against the skin of your neck, leaving a soft kiss there. You turn towards him with a smile upon your lips, “morning Suki~”. He pecks your lips with a sweet morning kiss before you get up out of bed. Heading towards the kitchen to find some breakfast since you knew you couldn’t cook very well and there really wasn’t anything in the apartment at the time. As you were making yourself a bowl of cereal Bakugou comes trudging into the kitchen. He wasn’t much of a morning person but least he was mellow, maybe a little bit cranky. You could stand it of course. “Tomorrow we should go shopping. We’re running out of some stuff”, You tell you. Bakugou nods, “it’s been about a week and a half so probably. But that means we need to work tonight”. “Well duh. How else are we supposed to pay for anything?”, you giggled, feeling a little giddy for later tonight already. Bakugou smiles slightly as he noticed the look of excitement you were giving. He gets his own bowl of cereal and sits down next to you so both of you could eat together. “What will we do while we wait?”, you asked him. “Tv? Then maybe get the gear around?”, Bakugou replied, glancing at you. With a happy nod, you agree with his decision, “sounds like fun. I wonder what’s on the news today”.

Later that evening you two were getting dressed into your gear. You helped Bakugou place his mask on his face since he sometimes had trouble and he helped you get your’s on as well since yours was bigger and more eccentric than his. He didn’t care much if his face was spotted since he didn’t go out very much, but he made sure you did since he wanted you to have the freedom of going out and enjoying life than just sitting inside all day. When you were picking out your costumes and adding onto them you two often argue a little bit, but the little things he says that show his inner caring emotions make you stop and leave it be. “You think we can rob that jewelry store? I keep seeing this one ring I really like there in the window. Plus they got a lot of cash in the register for sure”, you asked Bakugou since he usually decided on the locations and plans. “Course, there’s nothing we can’t do”, Bakugou smiles proudly towards you. This made you smile happily and give him a sweet peck on the cheek before going back to adjusting your costume.

The second you two strike down upon the street near the jewelry store people ran in different directions. Everyone knew about both of you, Ground Zero and (Villain Nickname). All your petty crimes that never go in hero or police favor. Ground Zero, aka Bakugou was heavily trained to fight so he had a good advantage, especially with his quirk. Heroes had to multitask; save lives, make sure less destruction was made, and capture the bad guys. All that on their plates made them slower and easier for the both of you to escape arrest or an extended fight.

“Don’t move or we’re gonna have some fucking problems”, Bakugou shouts aggressively as he pushes the doors open of the jewelry store, entering with you by his side. You had the bag and instantly went over to the display case near the window, reaching over and grabbing that ring you wanted. Then head over to the cash register. Meanwhile, Bakugou corners all the scared people into the corner of the room and makes sure they stay there. By now the cops were already out front since people already recognized the both of you on the streets. “Stay where you are and put the money in the bag or things will get ugly for all of you”, Bakugou threatened the civilians further. He was a bit on edge since there wasn’t a whole lot of time before the pros arrived to try and save the day. You collected the money into the duffel bag you brought along with you, making sure it was stuffed full with money and a few items from the display cases. “We’re ready to go. Let’s get out of here”, You tell Bakugou as you swung the bag over your shoulder. He nods as he looks at you. Then the both of you turn towards the back entrance just as the front glass doors burst open from a pro-hero crashing through. “Freeze! Come quietly and I’ll be forced to hurt you”, the pro hero shouts and both you and Bakugou pause mid-step. Bakugou turns his head to glare at the pro hero before flipping him off. This gave you time to go ahead and run into the back room and up the stairs to the second floor. Bakugou was a few feet behind making sure the pro hero had trouble following the both of you. Locking the door and barricading it the best he could in the small time frame before following you up the stairs. You run up the windows looking down upon the streets below. There was cop cars, police, swat and pro heroes out there. You glanced at Bakugou with slight hesitation, “what are we going to do?”. “We’re going to the rooftops and we’re gonna lose them somewhere pretty far. So climb on”, Bakugou tells his plane. You move, climbing onto Bakugou’s back and wrapping your arms around his neck while your legs were around his waist. Secured onto him so he could continue his plan without both of you potentially getting separated. He punched the window which shatters and sprays glass down on the ground below. Everyone looks up and the pro hero that was just behind them comes through the second-floor door finally. But Bakugou was already moving, taking you both flying through the air using his explosive quirk to propel him and you up to the rooftop of the building across the way. He lands up there and begins to run along the rooftop and continued to jump higher up to the taller buildings with his quirk. Below cop cars were trying to follow while some pro heroes tried to continue chasing. It was difficult for many of them to keep up since Bakugou made sure he was using his quirk to the best of his abilities, leaving a far distance between the both of you and the authorities. Heading for the forest a few miles away from where you were.

After a while the both of you had lost the pro heroes and cops in the forest, hiding out there and taking a rest. Bakugou especially since he was the one using his quirk the most. “You think they’ve stopped searching by now?”, you questioned as the both of you sit next to each other. Leaning against a big tree trunk. “Most likely. They should have gotten tired from all that running and chasing. They’re just lucky they didn’t have to fight me”, Bakugou replied, no more aggression like he had put on earlier towards those civilians. It was evident he was tired as he leans his head onto your shoulder. “Love you babe”, he mumbled. “Love you too”, you smiled as you looked up at the darkening sky turning a dark purplish midnight-black with splotches of grey clouds reflecting the tiniest bits or sunlight.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Inside was almost suffocating with every breath. So many people in a once large room that seemed way too small now. It was fine at first but a longer period of suffering this took a toll on Todoroki. He leaves out the balcony door, finally inhaling fresh air. The voices linger behind him but as he closes the door shut behind him it becomes more silent. Shoto walks up to the edge of the balcony, leaning over it as he looks up at the starry night sky. It was a peaceful night outside and he took it all in gladly.

Down below you had wandered through the garden, having been inside the home with the party however it grew boring. You look up to glance at the house to find a familiar person standing up on the balcony. Silently you walk closer to see them better. There up above was Shoto with his half-white and half-red hair. A smile forms on your face as you take in the sight of him in the pale moonlight with the dark starry sky above him. He nearly looked like an angel with how he practically glowed.

“O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art. As glorious to this night, being o'er my head. As is a winged messenger of heaven”, You spoke the cite loudly, intentionally calling up to him. He turns his head down to look upon you with confusion on his face. “(Y/N)?”, he questioned you, but you shrugged. “By a name. I know not how to tell thee who I am:. My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself. Because it is an enemy to thee; Had I it written, I would tear the word”, you speak again, citing the play once again. Todoroki let a small smile slip up on his face as he listened to you. He had remembered what the cite was from. “Aren’t we supposed to be switched around”, Shoto questioned you. You laughed and shook your head no, “Your dad hates me remember? And he doesn’t like seeing us together very much?”. “Did he tell you this?”, Todoroki raised an eyebrow, having not known this information. “It’s highly evident when I come over and he keeps asking why. Then leaves without a word”, you replied. Shoto then spoke, “Then thou shouldn’t be here. If they do see thee, they will murder thee”. “Alack, there lies more peril in thine eye. Than twenty of their swords: look thou but sweet, And I am proof against their enmity.”, you cite back, smirking a little cockily. You knew Todoroki’s father underestimated you every day. And every day you two are almost exactly like Romeo and Juliet. Often unable to be together because of family but one day you would break those barriers to be together finally. You kept your hopes up but for now, meeting in secret was the best the both of you could do.

You smile and laugh as your friends were joking around in the food court. Today Izuku said he needed to train so you let him and just went to hang out with friends at the mall. Only thinking he had wanted space and time for himself for once since you both seemed to hang out a lot more than usual.

Not too far away a green-haired freckled boy was sitting, eyeing you as you smiled and laughed along with your friends. Izuku felt this pit in his stomach that made him want to wretch. You were supposed to only smile and laugh like that around him, least that’s what he thought. His eyebrows furrow in anger as his eyes full of envy glance at your friends. He usually had only eyes for you but his hatred and jealous was boiling in his veins and it needed a target.

As your friends further joked your eyes wandered over to somewhere in the food court. Your eyes landing on familiar greens ones peeping out from the bushes not too far away. Confused you look to your friends and say, “hold on, I’ll be right back”. They all nodded and went back to talking as you got up and walk over to Izuku who was hiding behind some bushes. “What are you doing here?”, you whispered/yelled, “I thought you said you were training today”. “I was. I don’t train for long you know. And when I found out you were not in the house and left a note where you would be I thought I’d surprise you”, He replied smoothly. You were slightly annoyed by this. “I intentionally said I’d be hanging out with friends and would be back for movie night”, you pinched the bridge of your nose. Izuku scowls slightly and glances over your shoulder at your friends, then looks back at you, “you mean them? Are they really your friends?”. That question and the look he was giving you confused you. Furrowing your eyebrows in an angered question, “what are you going on about?”. “I know what they say behind your back and what they’ve done to you in the past. How can you be friends with them?”, Izuku further explains, seething with an inner anger you never thought he’d show and especially to you of all people. “We’re past that! And how the hell do you even know about all that?”, you were not amused or entirely confused anymore. Izuku was stepping some boundaries about things you didn’t tell him. “Oh, one day I was getting groceries like you asked and I saw them there. Talking about you behind your back and I couldn't help but overhear it all”, Izuku spoke calmly, unnerving you slightly since he was shy most of the time about confessions of invading others privacy or anything that is potentially harmful on others big and small.

Izuku lied about half of that sentence yet you didn’t know. He had really just stalked your friends after one day you talked about them to him. Having to know more about them and only to come to find out that they were not all that nice to you. Especially behind your back. That made his blood boil and not to mention the jealousy he felt when you talked about them like they were the greatest in the world. You were supposed to talk about him like that, but not once have you mentioned him to them. Your friends barely knew his name and only knew that he existed in your life. This made him feel insignificant when you were his one and only love.

You shifted uncomfortably as you stood before him as he glared into your eyes. He was definitely mad, maybe not at you but at your friends. “Izuku….”, you begin to say but he interrupts you. “Let's talk about this later when we’re home. Now go tell your friends you need to leave”, he tells you in a commanding voice. You frowned and shy away from him a little, “but Izuku…”. “But nothing! We’re going. You're lucky I don’t go over there and give them a taste of their own medicine”, Izuku snarls, anger rising further. Letting your head, you nod slightly as you shuffled away and back towards your friends. You tell them you had to head home because something came up and you’d talk to them later. After all was said and done you head back to Izuku who was waiting behind the bushes for you. “Let’s go before they start talking”, Izuku said, taking a hold of your hand and practically dragging you behind him as he leads you home.

Without your knowledge, he had come to the decision to either scare off your friends to never see you again or somehow get rid of them by other means. He was going to get you to himself whether anyone liked it or not. Izuku confessed his love to you and you had accepted it, now he’d make sure to love you until forever no longer existed.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You were in the kitchen making dinner for your family since Bakugou was out saving the day once again. While your two little kids were playing in the living room, most likely playing superheroes. They were always excited while their dad was away on superhero business. Always waiting for him to get home so they could hear about how awesome he was from him directly. The front door jingles from someone unlocking it and creaks open. Boots scuffing against the floor as they walked in and closed the door behind them. You turn to see Bakugou slightly hunched with a tired expression. There were bruises forming on his arm which was the only skin you could see on his body at this time. A few cuts were there too, making it look even worse. Stopping what you were doing and turning off the stove you walked over to him. The quietness from him was odd, usually, he yelled when he first got home with a big smile on his face. But today he didn’t and the kids haven’t noticed him being home quite yet.“Come on and sit down at the kitchen table hun. I’ll dress the wounds and then we can have dinner”, You tell Bakugou gently. He looks at you and responds with tired eyes, “Sounds good”. Then without complaint or louds noises he wanders over to the kitchen table and sits down, groaning in pain as his body position changes. “Etsuko”, you call to your eldest child. “Yeah?”, the little girl wanders into the kitchen. She squeaks in joy as she sees her father and nearly runs to him, “Daddy! Your home!”. Bakugou smiles at his little girl who was smiling brightly at him, he couldn’t help but not to even if he was in pain. “Etsuko, go grab the med-kit in the bathroom as well as a washcloth”, you tell her. “On it!”, she replied loudly and dashed off to find the items. Daisuke, your youngest child wanders into the kitchen cautiously. Peeking his head around the corner, however, his already big eyes widen as he sees his father home. “Daddy?”, the little one walks into the kitchen slowly, looking a little worried for his dad. The youngest had noticed that Bakugou hasn’t come and greeted them while he was home which meant something bad happened. The bruises and cuts proved it. “You got a boo-boo?”, Daisuke asked, having not learned proper grammar but he was the cutest little thing when he spoke and pointed out. “Yeah bud, I got some. Come on over”, Bakugou was speaking gently unable to keep his proud self up at the moment. But the little one didn’t care, he just knew his dad was there and needed his family. Daisuke wandered over and gave his father the biggest hug he could, then pulls away with a bit smile on his face. “don’t worry daddy. Mommy knows how to make boo-boos all better”, Daisuke showed a little bandage on his finger. Bakugou chuckled and ruffed up the kid's hair, “I know bud. she’s the best”. Daisuke’s eyes sparkle and widen in excitement, ready to spout in a tangent about how mommy was the greatest then probably will go off on to another topic in the same breath.Etsuko comes back with the med-kit and glares at her little brother, “don’t start muttering, Dai!”. Daisuke jumps in fright, having not expected his sister to come around the corner from the hallway. “I don’t mutter!”, he protests. “Sure you do”, Etsuko rolled her eyes. She had already started acting like a teen, being rebellious even. You blamed Bakugou for encouraging certain behaviors, but you couldn’t help but think Etsuko was a perfect clone of him. Taking the med-kit from Etsuko, you place it on the table and opening it up. You first wiped the sweat and dirt off his arms and face with the washcloth. Then took out the disinfectant and some cotton balls. Then beginning to dab the soaked cotton balls onto Bakugou’s cuts. He was used to the sting since he often got wounds from fighting a lot. When finished with that you placed a few bandages on the bigger cuts just in case. In the background the two siblings were arguing back and forth, Etsuko louder than her brother was. “Come on you two, calm down”, you told them after finishing up and putting stuff away. “Yes mom”, Daisuke and Etsuko replied, not wanting to ensure mother’s wrath upon them for not listening. Instead of going back to arguing as you busied yourself putting away the med-kit and clean the table, the two siblings talk with their father. Asking questions which didn’t exactly get a huge response out of the tired hero. Bakugou tried his best to smile the whole time and reply in some kind of way.His family was with him even through the bad. They acted like it was normal which in a way it was but it wasn’t often he’d come home all quite and covered in injuries. He was rather careful about his work and was one of the best heroes out there. Yet they treated him as human and loved him no matter what. You gave him kisses and spoke gently to him even if he was very close to attacking someone out of anger. Somehow calming him. Then there was the two kids, Etsuko, and Daisuke who adored him no matter what. They especially liked hearing him talking about work no matter how mundane the day was for him. Either a fight against a villain, stealth missions or paperwork. They wanted to know. And he was happy about that. Happy to see his family support him just like he supports them. One safe, happy family. Through thick and thin.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The whole class was separated in seconds. It was barely comprehensible as you fall onto the ground only about 30  meters away from where you stood before. The rest of your classmates were who-knows-where. But Aizawa Sensei was close, however having nearly tons of villains on top of him left him unable to defend the entire class like he had intended when diving into a fight. The warp villain made things difficult for all of you.

You get your bearings quickly, pushing yourself up onto your feet and looking around. It seemed you were close to the entrance but still too far to run without getting caught. You were also closer to the main group of villains which looked like a boy with blue hair and a massive beast with his brain showing on the outside. As you eye the two villains waiting to see if they’d make a move, the boy points to you and probably said something to the beast. The beast moved, walking towards you. It’s lifeless eyes staring right at you, like a bull having only one direction while it charged. Your quirk wasn’t the fighting type but it was still useful. So the only thing you could do was run and dodge. The least you could do until you were able to team up with someone. As the nomu got closer you turned to run. However, the second you turn your back to it, the nomu was upon you. Grabbing your arm in an extreme grip that made you feel like your bones were shattering as the muscles tore from the force. A shriek of pain from your lips involuntarily.

In another area of the USJ, Bakugou and Kirishima were fighting off waves of villains who thought the students were easy prey. Your shriek reaches their ears and they instantly knew you were in trouble. They didn’t even have to say a word to each other as they give a glance to one another and quickly dashed towards the direction they heard you.

They got there just in time as you just managed to wrench your broken arm from the grip of the nomu. Your teeth grinding as you tried not thinking about the pain as you fight to survive. Once you were free of the force you created while pulling made you fall back onto the ground on your back. Leaving you open for another attack as you needed to recuperate from all the forces and pain upon you. The nomu goes to grab at you again, but a familiar spiky redhead comes in and punches the nomu in the face with his hardened fist. “Kirishima!”, you cry in happiness, smiling as you knew you were going to be okay now. “Hey (Y/N), are you injured?”, He turns his head to look at you with concern as Bakugou comes flying in with his momentum and roundhouse kicks the nomu in the chest. However the force didn’t push the nomu back or make it stumble, but it did manage to keep it from continuing to fight as it absorbs the shock and takes in the new information with its little amount of knowledge. “I’m okay. But I think my arm is broken”, you reply calmly, getting up from the ground. Trying hard not to use your broken limb and cradle it close to your chest. “Shitty hair! Get her out of here! I don’t want to be responsible for your ass and hers!”, Bakugou shouts at Kirishima as he goes for another attack against the nomu. Kirishima gets serious and nods then looked at you, “come on, let's get you towards the entrance so we can get as far away as possible”. He takes your hand and leads you away from Bakugou and the nomu fighting.

Kirishima takes you towards the entrance of the USJ, away from all the fighting so the both of you could sit down and relax. He checks your arm out, trying his best to not make you flinch. “Here, this will be a makeshift wrap”, Kiri says as he tears his sleeve off and helps get it onto your broken arm. “Thanks, but what about Bakugou? He’s out there fighting that beast”, You questioned, worried that someone else may get hurt because of that thing that nearly dragged you away. “Don’t worry, he’s strong”, Kirishima reassures you. However, you knew Bakugou. His pride would end up getting him hurt. Thankfully your worry didn't stay for long as Bakugou shows up and crouches next to the two of you. “That fucking beast is fighting All Might”, Bakugou tells the two of you of what was happening. “Shouldn’t we get moving then? We could go find medical aid if so”, you asked, wondering if anyone else took the opportunity to leave the building. “I don’t think we can leave yet. Those damn villains are crawling everywhere still. Some students I haven’t even seen yet out there”, Bakugou tilts his head up and looks over the hiding spot Kirishima had found for the both of you. The blonde was watching the scene, actually analyzing the situation.

A loud crash sounded out as a yell from All Might bellowed through the building. After that sound, there were staff members of UA quickly running through the front doors with Tenya. Apparently one of their classmates had found help just in time. Kirishima sees this as the right time to get you medical help and picks you up bridal style. “Come on Bakugou, we got to get (Y/N) the infirmary”, Kirishima calls to his and your friend as he heads towards the front doors to leave. Bakugou follows beside the two of you quietly. Both boys were worried about you and wondered if you’d heal properly. When they heard your shriek they feared the worst and still now they were worried and filled with the adrenaline of the fight. It shook them up bad and surprisingly you were okay after they saved you.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You and Bakugou were walking to class together like you always did. But today he was in a really pissy mood for some reason. At first, you made fun of it by teasing. Saying things like “did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?”, “awe, don’t be that way Mr. grumpy pants”, and so on and so forth. But the things he said really told you he wasn’t having it today.

You then began to ask him if there was something bothering him. He refused to tell you with his usual, “no, fuck off. Leave me alone”. But then you continue to pester because he said that when there was something going on. Bakugou continued to tell you it was nothing and leave him alone. After a bit of this in the hallway in front of the classroom, you had enough of him avoiding to answer and raised your voice at him. “Come on Suki! I’m here for you and you keep pushing me away! You can’t keep bottling it up like this all the time!”. He hadn’t expected you to raise your voice but it put his blood beyond the boiling point. That was when he finally burst and let his full anger out.

His open palm sweeps through the air and smacks you cheek, hard. Leaving a red imprint on the soft skin. The sound left the hallway and nearby classroom silent. Your eyes were wide in surprise and shock, still comprehending what had happened. You didn’t think he’d actually hit you like this. He only tried to harm you when you were sparing, the time you had consented to bodily harm and almost the only time he’d allow such contact between the two of you. Your wide eyes glance over to his also shocked horrified form. His eyes were filled with fear as his eyes slightly gloss over as his emotions become overwhelming.

Bakugou hadn’t meant to do that, he never would have done that. He just wasn’t thinking straight and was stressed… but somehow those excuses could never make up for what was done even if he wanted them to. What happened would eat him alive for the rest of his life. Uraraka comes wandering out with a confused expression, making Bakugou worry more. She was one of your best friends and was protective of you. The scene would make him look bad in front of her and everyone else. He was already feeling shitty today and now it was going further downhill.

Uraraka only glanced at you and gasped, rushing over and checking out your red cheek. Her brows furrow in anger as a glare full of daggers was directed towards Bakugou. “What the hell is wrong with you?!”, Uraraka yelled at the blonde, not caring anymore what language she was using. It was fitting for how much anger was building up inside her. “Uraraka...”, you began to say, a little shaken. “Shhh, don’t worry about it (Y/N). let’s get you cleaned up”, Uraraka was quick to comfort you, thinking you were gonna start crying. You frowned as your friend gives one last glare to Bakugou before leading you to the girl’s locker room to help clean up that nasty mark. You gave Bakugou a look of concern as you were leaving, but he wasn’t even looking in your direction anymore, just at the floor with what looked like tears streaming down his face.

Later that day, you went searching for Bakugou. He hasn’t been seen since this morning before class, having not even gone to class despite walking with you there. The only place you knew he’d be was his dorm room. So you head up to his room and lightly knock on the door. Nervously fidgeting in front of the door, glad that the red mark had gone away. It was nice of Uraraka to help cover the mark up with make-up but you had wanted to apologize to Bakugou earlier that day. However, your friends made it hard to do so because they wanted to talk about how Bakugou was the worst and this and that. You knew better. You had pushed his buttons when he was already probably stressed and one thing leads to another. It ate at you the whole day and who knows how Bakugou was holding up.

Bakugou’s dorm room door creaks open, revealing a tired looked Bakugou with red puffy eyes. He looked like he had been crying for a while but he seemed to be pretending he had not been. “What do you want?”, his voice wasn’t as loud as it usually was, now hoarse and quiet. He definitely had been crying. “I want to apologize for what I said this morning Suki. I shouldn’t have pushed your buttons and respected you not wanting to talk about your feelings”, You tell him calmly, being straightforward. His eyes widen at your apology, having not expected this. He expected more hate or anger directed towards him, but this was way better yet still shocking. “I should be apologizing (Y/N). I was the one who hit you and there is no excuse for what was done”, He tells you, sounding almost angry but if there was anger it was directed towards himself. You lightly place your hand onto his cheek, comforting him, “that’s what makes us human. Our mistakes. But forgiveness, no matter how hard it is, is the first step to starting to learn from our mistakes”. His expression still showed he was shocked, but he quickly moves and gives you a tight hug. “Please forgive me (Y/N)”, he whispered into your ear. “Of course I will Suki. what kind of girlfriend would I be to expect you to be perfect all the time?”, you smiled, joking a little to try and ease the situation. He scoffed, “of course I’m perfect. I'm the best boyfriend and guy around!”. There was your usual angry explosion boi.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Another group of villains has attacked the school. This time, however, there was no teachers to help the students out of this. So they all had to conquer up a plan together and send it out. Half of the class were to lead the villains away from buildings and other students while the other half would warn the school and staff about the current attack. Luckily all of them were able to get the plan down because the hiding spot was found and they all had to dash in their groups of twos and threes. Those who were leading the villains away attacked, making sure they were followed and not the others. There was only so man villains there attacking compared to the whole class of 1-A.

Bakugou and you were leading a fairly average powerful villain towards the forest used for training exercises. The biome made hard for the villain to directly attack the two of you which lead to minimal damage just as the class had wanted. Also, you were able to lose them in the heart of the giant forest biome which meant they wouldn't be attacking anyone anytime soon. However, you both had problems of your own. Lost in a forest, with a villain and running while trying not to trip or run into anything.

As you were running ahead of Bakugou since you took the lead while he took the rear, you tripped over a root and fell into a massive hole that you were planning to avoid if it hadn’t been for that darn root. The hole had been deeper than you expected, falling for a good few seconds and then landing onto the ground. As you were trying to get up a weight falls on you and pushes you back down. The weight and you made a groan of pain. After a few seconds, the weight gets off and pushes you over to lay on your back. “You alright?”, Bakugou’s gruff voice asked you, telling you right away who exactly the person who landed on top of you was. “I’m okay, maybe a bit bruised and sore”, you replied as you go to stand up. Hissing in pain as your one foot which had caught onto the root when you tripped touched the ground with applied weight. “Your not okay, you sprained your foot while tripping”, Bakugou growled in pain, the force you to sit back down. He takes the med-kit that was strapped to your side and opens it up. Looking for something. “I didn’t know until I put weight on it. Jeez, you don’t need t get all angry about it”, you retort. He gave you glare, “ I’m not angry, I’m concerned. Now quit talking back before I do get angry”. “Don’t be grumpy all the time then”, you mumbled. Bakugou tightens the wrap around your foot a little too much making you gasp. “Okay, Okay! I'll stop. I’m just stressed and in pain. Can you blame me for being grouchy?”, you yelp quietly at him. “Not really, just don’t push my buttons anymore”, Bakugou was calmer. Redoing the wrap so it was not too tight and supported your sprained ankle. He then takes two sticks that happened to be in the deep big hole with you and place them on either side of your ankle. Then wrapping two strips of tape around your calf and the sticks helping keep your foot in place. One strip on the lower part and another on the top. “There, that should do it. Think you can walk with this?”, Bakugou asked as he looked at you. You nod hesitantly, slightly surprised he knew so much about medical aid. “Yeah, I think so. But let’s just sit here for now. Maybe wait for the attack out?”, you asked, knowing you wouldn’t be able to fight and end up being dead weight for Bakugou if you two even went out of the hole. “Sure. do you got a phone on you?”, Bakugou asked. Nodding, you pull out your phone, “Yeah, we can message the group about our status”. You did just that and then waited together there, making some small talk in the meantime.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It had all started when you thought you were sick with the tiniest cold that would go away within a day or two. You were able to go to class yesterday with a little bit of a warm color on your cheeks and nose, then the slight stuffy nose. But nature said nope and the tiniest cold turn into the most painful headache and sore dry throat you ever had in your life. It probably wasn’t, but it felt like that.

You take the day off because you knew nobody wanted to be near a sick person who looked like they keel over any second from exhaustion. The teacher understood when you called in before class and let you know that you needed to make up class work tomorrow. Agreeing upon it just to have a day for some rest, you hang up and went back to sleep.

Kirishima, your boyfriend was getting ready for class at the time you were falling asleep. Thinking you’d be up, he texted you a ‘good morning’ before heading out the door. He expected a little ding when he walked into the common room of the dorms but heard nothing. Curiously he looked at his phone and at the messages you both went back and forth with. The most recent text was his good morning, nothing from you. He wondered if you were busy or forgot to charge your phone, so he kept going on his way to class.

He gets to class pretty early like he usually did. But found it odd you weren’t there like you often are. Checking his phone for the second time, he sends another message to your phone. This time asking where you were. Then he waited a few minutes. Receiving no reply. Worried, Kirishima gets up from his seat with his stuff. Confusing his peers a little, but he didn’t bother explaining as he quickly dashed out of class and back to the dorm building.

Going up the stairs to the girl’s side of the building, he heads up to your dorm room. Knocking firmly onto the wooden door. Worry crossing his face clearly. “(Y/N)? Are you in there? Why aren’t you in class?”, He called through the door, hoping you’d answer.

On the other side of the door, you groan as you open your eyes slightly. You didn’t want to wake up but there was someone outside your door knocking and practically shouting for you. Getting up, slightly stumbling with your blanket still wrapped around you. You head towards your dorm door to open it up to see your worried redhead boyfriend on the other side. “Kiri…”, you mumbled, the only thing comprehensible was his name from your lips. He was able to get a good look at you now and began to realize why you weren't in class. With those warm cheeks flushed with fever, a stuffy nose, and bags under your eyes. The viewable signs of a terrible sickness. Kirishima calmed his panic but was still worried about you, “are you sick (Y/N)?”. You nod in reply, not wanting to speak more than you have to. He then smiled warmly, “then I’m gonna help you get better. So you can feel better!”. Perking himself up with hope, Kirishima users you back into our dorm room so he could come in and close the door behind him.

Kirishima was quick to help, already telling you what you needed to do, “go lay down. I’m going to get you a cool wet cloth for your fever”. You don’t complain as you shuffle over to your bed and lay back down. Propping your head up on the pillows. He went into the private bathroom and got a washcloth wet and comes back and places it on your forehead. It felt nice but probably wouldn’t do much but ease the slight warmness of your face. “Alright, don’t move. I’m gonna get you some water and another box of tissues”, Kirishima walks off again to retrieve more things.

Soon enough he has done pretty much everything you’d see done on TV. get you water, washcloth, soup, tissues, more blankets, fluffed pillows, etc. He did offer you some medicine to soothe your throat, but you refused. It already tasted awful and you couldn’t imagine what it tasted like now that your taste buds were messed up from being sick. Kirishima left it like that and just kept you comfortable as possible while you were resting in bed. You couldn’t really complain though, it was nice. The best part of it was Kirishima didn’t hesitate to get you what you wanted, even cuddles despite you being sick and probably contagious. Best sick day ever.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Luckily the dorm buildings were stocked with many things, including emergency flashlights and blankets for when the electricity went out. You and Todoroki happened to be the only ones in the dorm building at this time because either they were out enjoying the snow or training in the warmer areas to keep their strength up.

“It seems to be a storm going on outside. You would think the school had a good separate electric grid”, Shoto said as he gets up and heads into the common room’s kitchen area. You shrug as you put the TV remote down onto the coffee table, “you never know. It could have been Denki or someone else. But probably the weather”. Getting up you follow him into the kitchen and help look for the emergency flashlights.

Once you found one you went into the living room and rearranged some things. Todoroki found another flashlight, then came over to ask, “what are you doing?”. “Since the heating is not on we’re gonna wanna to be warm, so I thought a fort would help”, you reply as you brought in some chairs from the dining room not too far away. “Alright, do you need help?”, He asked, not questioning why you just didn’t ask for him to use his quirk to keep you both warm. “Yeah. Could you go collect some blankets and pillows from around here? There should be some spares somewhere”, you smiling softly at him, letting him help since he offered.

Shoto got you more than you needed, but you were glad for his help. Getting right to building the fort big enough for maybe three people but mainly for two. You had trained for this moment since you were little. Being the master of forts at sleepovers, you easily got the structure up and supported with just a few blankets and pillows, using furniture if needed. Then you made a soft flooring so it didn’t hurt the knees or any other body part that may make contact with the raggedy carpet and hard flooring of the living room. When you were done you stood back and posed like a superhero, proud of your work. A smiling beaming your pride. Shoto looked at the fort with surprise. It has been barely a few minutes since he gave you all those necessities and now you were done. Not to mention he barely done anything like pillow forts when he was younger so it was new to him still. “How’d you do that so fast?”, he asked you, giving you a soft smile with that little taste of surprise in his eyes. “I could teach you a few pointers some time, then maybe we could build together!”, you replied to him happily, making his cheeks warm with a happy blush as he watched your expression of pure joy and pride. “Sounds like fun (Y/N). How about I teach you something in return?”, He asks, having something in mind to return the favor. “Oh? And what’s that?”, you asked, curious what was on his mind. “Come on, I’ll show you”, he waved you over and takes you into the kitchen.

The stove was luckily a gas one so it was connected to the electricity, except for the clock and oven of course. He gets a small pot out and places it on the stove, making you more interested in what he was going to teach you. He then goes into the fridge and grabs some milk and chocolate bars. Then places them on the counter to the side of the stove. “First you got to melt some chocolate”, He says, lighting the stove with his quirk before breaking up the chocolate bars and dropping them into the pot. You were very interested when he began to melt the chocolate, starting to get an idea of what he was making. “What kind of chocolate?”, you asked. “Usually you use semi-sweet, but any will do as long as you add a bit of sugar if it has more cocoa in it”, He answers calmly, turning up the heat on the stove to help melt the chocolate better.

Once it was slightly melted he added the milk. “Add a little less than there is chocolate so you can add more milk later if needed”, He tells you. “So you don’t add too much and mess up”, you understood why, liking this little moment. “Exactly”, Shoto smiled at you, proud that he was teaching and sharing something he enjoyed doing. It felt good to him.  a warm feeling on the inside.

When the hot chocolate was ready he poured some into two mugs and added a little bit of whip cream on top of them. He had put away the ingredients and left the pot to cool on the stove that had been turned off. Then you two take your mugs of hot chocolate back to the pillow fort where you could sit and enjoy the sweet warmth together.

You giggled as you see the whipped cream get above his upper lip like a white mustache. “You got a little something right there Shoto”, you pointed to your upper lip to help show him where it was. He smiled and licked it off, enjoying the way you laughed. The moment peaceful and quiet, yet filled with the sounds and sights of your happiness. “Thanks, but I think you something there too”, He said in a teasing way, but he got smooth as he inched closer to you, “let me help…”. Shoto leaned in, his eyes slowly closing. Taking the hint you leaned in too, closing your eyes thinking it’ll just happen nice and sweet. However, the kiss never happened.

The sound of stomping shoes came from the doorway with a slight chill of the frosty air breezing through the common room. Your eyes open as you frowned, Todoroki head turned as he looked towards where the sounds had come from. The peace was broken as Denki called out into the common room, “Hey! Todoroki! (Y/N)! You wanna get some lunch with us?”. Shoto sighs quietly and takes his hot chocolate and comes out of the pillow fort. You wiped off your whipped cream mustache and crawl out of the fort too, knowing you probably wouldn’t get that kiss until the others weren’t looking.

You two went out with Denki, Mina, and Sero who had been heading out for lunch when they had stopped by the dorms to ask you two to come with since they thought it would be a nice thing to do. However, it ruined a moment you shared, which you were a little upset by. Shoto was being quiet, telling you he too was upset by the intrusion. They take you and Todoroki to a little place to eat. It wasn’t anything fancy but enough to get a warm meal and hang out as friends. Todoroki and you sat next to each other, sneaking glances when no one looking. Mina, Denki, and Sero, all went up to the pick up to get the ordered food for all five of you. Letting you and Todoroki have some time to talk to one another alone.

“You could have sneaked a little kiss you know. It’s not that bad they were there”, You whispered to Shoto. He replied, “I know, but it’s a habit”. Todoroki then leaned in and planted a short kiss on your lips before pulling away. “Satisfied my dear?”, he asked, smiling in a teasing way. “Never, your too good”, you replied with a matching smile.

Step right a few times. Then step left a few too. Then catch or pick up. Step right. Step left. Turn. aim and toss. This was the rhythm created by you getting used to the pace of the dodgeball game. It had gotten competitive between two classes and now it was to be settled in a match. At first you felt like your class was loosing with a few getting out in the first couple of minutes, but finally, they picked up the pace. Now it was getting close to your team winning, least that’s what you thought when you kept striking out opponent after opponent.

It was tiring and you just had to stop your feet for just a second or two. Placing your hands on your knees you bend over and pant from exhaustion. How long has this match even been going? You could hardly tell, but it would last until only one team was left standing. You had to keep going, for your class and for your pride. Quitting would get you nowhere as a hero.

Glancing around at the court, taking in your surroundings more you find something surprising. You were the only one left on your team, but fear not there was only one opponent left. He glared at you with crimson red eyes, holding a dodgeball in his hands with an intense grip. It was Katsuki Bakugou, the explosion boy who most people know as the boy with the anger issues. You didn’t know too much about him, except he was quick to judge that he’d win matches and his short temper. You could never forget that temper he had. It was broadcasted across the whole country nearly a year ago at the sports festival.

“This is too easy of a win!”, Katsuki grins, winding back his arm to throw. Your eyes calculate his movement and watch… waiting for his move. Ready to show him that you were determined to be better and win. The red ball flies through the air with incredible speed and force. He must have used his quirk, which gave you less time to dodge. But you were ready for this attack, and leap out of the way of the straight throw. He hadn’t even thought about curving the throw, probably thinking you wouldn't dodge fast enough. Your dodge only angered him further his brows furrowing as he picked up another ball. Throwing it as fast and hard as he could with his quirk and strength combined. Anticipating the same move twice from him, you dodge with more ease. Bakugou’s anger kept heating up, no possible return to cooling.

As he kept throwing, you kept dodging. He kept using the same attack over and over, not trying a different strategy in the slightest. Soon enough there was no longer any more balls on his side to pick up while his rage was boiling way over than it normally did. “Why won’t you fucking quit already?!”, Bakugou shouts. You picked up a ball that was in front of you and looked at him with a straight face, “What kind of hero would I be if I just got up and decided to stop saving people in the middle of doing so?”. Then you threw the ball dead-center into his chest, the force of it knocking him over. He had this look of surprise on his face. It might have been from your verbal response or the throw, you didn’t care much. You just beat him. Proving him wrong about your strength and determination.

You were barely able to talk to Bakugou after the match because the second you won you were swamped by your class and team. They cheered for you. Some asking how you survived. A few began name calling or make crude comments towards Bakugou. No longer fearful of his anger now that the blonde had lost. “Heh! The Bakugou has been beaten by class 2-B! Even beaten by a girl”, Monoma was one of the teasers but he was dragged off the court by the 2-B’s class representative before things got too far.

Able to only catch a glimpse of Bakugou, you see his face cast in shadow as he turns and walks out of the gymnasium. His head down and no angry words spouting from him. You raised your eyebrow to question, but it would have to wait till later if you were able to talk to him privately. You didn’t mean to hurt his pride intentionally, however it was a game and your determination got the better of you. Though the way he looked now made you wonder if there was more to him than what people say about him. You’d never know for sure.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You finally were able to leave and find Bakugou once the teachers dismissed you from class for the day. However, you had to dodge a few people who asked you questions or wanted to hang out. It seemed like you became very popular after beating Bakugou one-on-one. Which made no sense in your mind. It was only just dodgeball, not some kind of sparring match. But you know, teens take things too far and serious sometimes.

By the time you were standing in front of Bakugou’s dorm room door you were panting. Resting for a bit you leaned on your knees. The burn of your lungs made you wish you hadn’t ran the whole way here. But the distractions of friends were tempting no matter how important it was to go talk with Bakugou. Maybe you feared his reaction towards you secretly? Procrastinating to even take a chance to even talk with him for maybe a few shorts seconds. Making it turn into minutes of mustering up the courage to even knock on the door.

Finally, you knocked on the door, not too soft and not too hard. Just enough to let Bakugou know someone was there if he was even in the room. There was a sound of shuffling inside and the door then whipped open. “Tch, Here to rub it in my face?”, Bakugou was quick to glare and accuse you. You shy away, feeling like your rambling nervous thoughts of doubt were right. But you needed to try and talk to him, so you did, “I’m sorry Bakugou. I didn’t mean to beat you as a means to get you picked on. I just felt determined and it was only just a game to keep us on our toes but also have fun”. Your apology seemed to shock him as his eyes slightly widen, but he seems to pretend it didn’t. “Why should I care what it is? I was beaten and now I need to get stronger”, There was a fiery determination within him that you may have sparked. “You want a rematch?”, you asked, wondering if that’s what he meant to do after getting stronger. “Hell yeah, I do! I don’t care if you're a girl! I’m going to beat you one way or another!”, Bakugou shouts. You couldn’t help but smile. He really thought you were strong, even if the dodgeball match didn’t mean THAT much to you. “I’ll be waiting for those rematches then “, You replied proudly. Bakugou looked at you with slight respect, but then shooed you off, “go on. Get out of here. You're not even supposed to be in the 1-A dorms”. “Like you don’t break the rules?”, you teased at him over your shoulder as you were walking away down the hallway. “Shut up!”, He protests, then quickly went into his dorm room and closed the door. You laughed lightly, feeling a bit better now that you talked with him. It wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Today Momo was taking you out to the mall for some personal time together and a little shopping. These outings happened at least once a month or so, depending on how busy the both of you are. And every time Momo ended up paying for everything.

The both of you hold hands as you walk into a clothing store, going right to the woman's section to browse. You were just happy to look through shirts, skirts, dress, and pants of all kinds. You pulled out this simple dress that you really liked. “ooh~, that would look good on you. Why don't you try it on?”, Momo noticed you pick the dress up and smiled warmly. getting a glance at the price tag you bite your lip as you hesitate to answer, “sure. Let's maybe get a few more things to try too”. You didn't want to say no, after all, it was just trying it on. However, you knew if you'd liked it enough she'd buy it for you. That was how it went during your outings and in a way it made you feel awful. there was no possible way to repay her for all the gifts with the same thing. She probably had it already and you could afford much by yourself.

After grabbing a few more articles of clothing, Momo and you head to the dressing room. She waits outside the little dressing stall for you, while you went in and hanged up the articles of clothing on the hooks provided for you. Taking a deep breath, you put on a smile and try not to think about the guilty feeling inside. You begin to try on some clothes, then go out of the stall to show Momo. Doing the full spin with a happy smile, enjoying yourself. Momo would smile brightly when she saw something you really liked on, knowing it made you feel good. She complimented how good the clothes looked on you, making you feel even better about wearing the expensive clothing.

By the time you were done in that store, you were walking out with a full big bag of clothes. All of them for you and bought by Momo who gladly paid for it all. The guilty feeling came back and weighted down your heart. It made your bright dim slightly as you held hands with Momo and walked towards the next store.

Two more stores and that feeling grew and grew inside you. The bags multiplied each stop, and soon enough there were about five of different sizes being carried as you head towards the food court for lunch. Placing them down, Momo heads over to order line and gets food for the both of you. By now she knew what you liked and craved, she watched and listened to you when you told her or eyed anything of interest. With her observation, she has also noticed your hesitation when she offers to buy things. It became often when you two shopped together, so she grew curious as to why. She needed to know what was on her girlfriend's mind. Momo just wanted you to be happy.

Bringing back the tray full of food, she places it on the table you had chosen to sit at. Momo sits across from you, wearing a smile the whole time. She lets the both of you start to eat before she began to talk seriously. “(Y/N)? May I ask a personal question?”, Momo asked you. “shoot”, You replied. She took a second or two to find her words, “Why do you hesitate when I buy you things?”.  You looked up at her in surprise, having thought you weren't obvious with your expressions and body language. However, it seemed you were like an open book to her. Sighing, you frown slightly as you answer her question, “I feel guilty letting you pay for everything all the time. I can't even repay you with anything”. Momo frowns slightly, then placed a hand on your’s, “you don't need to give me anything. Your wonderful and amazing, so I'm content with you giving me your time and love”. It touched your heart, your eyes welling up with tears. She moved over to sit next to you at the table, giving you a side hug and kissing your cheek. “I didn't mean to make you feel guilty by giving you stuff. I just wanted you to be content and happy”, She apologizes. You sniffle, wiping away a few tears, “awe, Momo. You don't have to give me anything. I'm happy and content being with you”. She smiles happily, “but what if I want to still give you things? Would that be okay still?”. You bite your lip. The guilt felt less now that you talked about it, so you nod your head yes, “just please don't go too overboard”. “I'll try not to, no promises though”, She replied, making you softly laugh. You knew she meant well and the talk lifted that weight right off your heart. The feeling of being feather light and happy felt good, and you were glad to share these moments with your wonderful girlfriend.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

He needed to get the weight of his chest and the images out of his mind. It was clouding his thoughts and feeling. To become a good class representative and hero, he needed to get rid of the distractions taking up space in his mind. If only it was as easy as said.

You and Tenya were enjoying lunch together with some friends in the cafeteria of UA. Tenya was gazing at you, but his mind was wandering off to space. No one seemed to noticed the desperate far off look he was giving, too involved in the conversation to even pay his silence any mind. You, however, noticed when you were laughing at a joke and turned to see if Tenya had been listening too, he’s been super quiet. You raise an eyebrow as you see the far-off look directed towards you. Waving your hand in his face, you ask him a question, “hey! You alright Tenya?”. Tenya blinks in confusion and looked at you for real this time. He awkwardly covers up by nodding, “Er-yes! I’m okay, just thinking”. “About what?”, one of your friends butts in, grinning from ear to ear thinking they’d get some juicy drama story or something from Iida. “Just some responsibilities that I need to take care of today”, Tenya replied calmly. The friend who asked huffed, “your no fun Tenya. I was hoping for something better… maybe a love interest?~”. They tease him slightly, making his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. “That would be none of your concern!”, Tenya protests. However, by responsibilities he meant he needed to talk to you later. It was important. Otherwise, these thoughts would eat at him until he does spit out the words clouding his mind.

Later, after class, you and Iida were walking back to the dorm building. It was silent for awhile maybe some small talk but not much. There was too much on Tenya’s mind at the moment, he could barely get a long sentence or a complex question out. He had to ask now, it was his only chance. Mentally preparing himself, he stops in his tracks. Standing in the middle of the walkway, looking at you with this desperate look. “(Y/N)? Can I talk to you?”, Tenya asked you, being serious. You stopped and turned to face him, “sure! What do you need to talk about”. That smile you wore didn’t help his thinking, it fiddled with his concentration. “I…. I love you, (Y/N)”, he was quick to speak, needing it to get out before he became so awkward he’d stutter. Your smile shifts to a frown, making his heartbeat spike as his worried thoughts took over. He was supposed to be prepared for rejection. He wasn’t to worry a bit about it. He consoled himself multiple times before this conversation. Why does he feel this way? “Tenya…”, you began to say, awkwardly shifting on your feet, “I… I don’t like you the way you like me. I’ve always thought you a brother”. You had to be honest with him. Leaving his hopes up would break his heart even further. His lip quivered but he bites it and stayed strong. Not wanting to show his hurt feelings to you at this time. “I k-... I understand… just needed to get that off my chest”, he was stuttering and his heart ached within his chest. It weighed him down so much he felt like his feet would drag along the concrete. “How about you go take a breather? We can talk later, maybe?”, you could see his emotions clearly, seeing that he needed time to overcome the rejection.

Tenya nods, “sure, talk to you later”. His voice slightly quivered but he got a grip. Waving goodbye, turning and walking away down the direction you both originally came from. You sighed, looking down at the ground as you turned towards the opposite direction. Heading towards the dorm buildings like you were before that question. Only hoping that this wouldn’t ruin your relationship. It felt so awkward and terrible to tell Tenya that, but you couldn’t lie to his face like that either. You continue to console yourself that it was the right thing to do for the rest of the walk to the dorms.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It wasn’t fun living in a void. It’s like death but worse. The loneliness could only be sated by so much, yet it still bled through. Work kept you busy. But for how long? How long would you work like this? Through this loneliness and sorrow. For the only thing you can see is the negative side of the world. Death, destruction, pain… the list could go on for hours.

Despite having other reapers around you were lonely. They didn’t fill the void inside you enough to sate every emotion known to the universe. Work got boring after a while and became to easy. Letting your mind wander too far away from the one thing that use to save you from the void inside. You desired things that were hard to come by in the world you lived in. Your afterlife was duller than the life before it. There was so much you wanted to do now that you took for granted before. But now you could only get bits and pieces of what you so desired, however, you mostly viewed it from a portal.

One day, when you were checking the sands. You come across one that looked close to running out, but not yet. This meant you had to check on the person until the sands ran out. So taking the hourglass with the top nearly empty, you take it to a viewing portal. Then opened the swirling vortex to create the image you wish to see. The present, with a boy with bright red spiky hair and a huge warm smile on his face. He was hanging out with some of his friends, or so it seemed. But as you were looking at him, you felt something you hadn’t felt for many many years. Those butterflies in your stomach fluttered. Sure signs of attraction. You blamed it on being desperate.

But by the third day of watching him, you began to think it was a genuine crush on this boy. That big warm smile melted your heart and made it ache for that smile to be directed towards you. Those loving eyes burned into your brain, making you wish he looked at you with adoration. The feelings you got felt so alive and warm inside you. It altered your point of view of the world and began to be more optimistic. Soon enough other reapers begin to notice why as you would spend most of your working hours watching this one boy. However, they noticed the time in the boy’s hourglass was getting shorter and shorter. Soon there wouldn’t be any left.

One of the reapers who knew you asked about the boy one day, “why do you want him so? He’s mortal and the sands of time don’t lie when the inevitable is close”. You merely smiled at this, however, this was surprising because you rarely did so, “His kindness and energy haven’t been seen before in all my years as a reaper. I don’t see why he has to die. There is so much hope and happiness around him. Would it be so bad to just keep him alive for longer?”. The reaper who questioned your motives looked at you with a wary look, “you do realize what that could do? Upsetting time and balance of the natural order can have many negative effects. Are you willing to risk his happiness for yours?”. You hesitate now. You wanted him to be happy, but you also wanted to feel happy too. “Maybe just for a little bit? It wouldn’t hurt for just a couple of days? Right?”, you questioned after thinking. You needed time to figure out what would be risked if you were to break the universe rule about life and death. It would be a big deal after all. So wouldn’t it be a huge crime that needed to be punished accordingly? If it was, wouldn’t it mean to punish you who choose to break the rule? You’d risk seeing him happy longer than seeing him die, even if it meant you were sentenced to whatever punishment there was for messing with the time sands.

For nearly a week, you take it upon yourself to add more sand into the boy’s hourglass. Adding more time to him, maybe a day or two added to his life each day. Nothing too big but enough to keep his life longer. You kept watching him every day, but you did manage to keep up with your other work duties. But the most thing the other reapers notice about you was how much time you spent watching the boy. It’s all they seem to see you do nowadays. Being a lovesick puppy, sitting on the floor and fantasizing in your mind. They began to ask one by one the reasons why you keep the boy alive. Hope. Happiness. Energy. And so much more was your reply. To them it was ridiculous. But you knew they’d never understand your little crush which wasn’t little anymore.

When the week was about to end you felt sad. You sort of promised yourself to only add the sands for a week, no longer than that. But there was no way you wanted to stop now. You need to keep seeing his life, wanting so much for the boy. However, there was only so much extra sand you could take from elsewhere. Thoughts rolled through your mind as you worried about the next day, the day where you promised yourself to stop taking random sand and giving it to his hourglass. The worry made your stomach sick despite not being able to get any illness or even eat normal food. But the face of sadness turned into surprise as this single thought rolled in. You quickly get up, closing the vortex you had opened to view the boy as you thought and dash down a large hallway to the forbidden section.

Reaching a large set of doors, you push them open and peer inside this dark room lit by tiny candles hanging along the walls. The flames were glowing, casting light blue lights and shadows across the entire room that was filled with tons of shelves. Each shelf was labeled by letters. Finding the letter that your first name started with, you head down that little aisle. On the shelves were hourglasses who were empty and dusty. But the odd thing about them was the fact the sand was going up rather than down, even giving off this strange color that created its own light source. After some wandering down the aisle, you find the hourglass you were looking for. You picked it up careful off the shelf and look at it. Engraved on a little plack was your reaper name. It belonged to you during the living and now the afterlife, having two uses to slowly lead the cycle of life and death in a full circle. “It wouldn’t hurt would it?”, you wondered out loud as you eyed the sand in your own hourglass. You were going to risk a few days worth of life just for him, just like you promised you were going to yourself when you discovered your true feelings. Finally, you decide your choice and quickly take the hourglass out of the darkroom, making sure no one saw you exit the said room.

Soon enough, every day or two you had a bit of your own time sand to the boy’s. The mixing of the two made his look speckled with the golden sands and odd bright spots. But at this mixing happened there was less of that sand in your own hourglass, making your whole living span shouter both in life and death. Not only were you risking yourself every day, but you were also beginning to change. Your sickly reaper look turned into something more warm and alive. There were only a few things to blame for this. It was the punishment, making you feel more alive and take away your afterlife lifespan. With visible veins and a warm body to hug, you were definitely changing into something more human. You worried about what this would mean for you since you were a reaper and you could potentially become a human for the rest of your life. This worry got stronger as you still kept to add sand to his hourglass straight from yours. Continuing to lose life and energy yourself.

Before you know it, your own hourglass as turned so the sands were spilling down rather than up. You also appeared to have changed because your cheeks were more flushed with color and our skin looked much healthier and soft. It wasn’t such a bad punishment. However being human in reaper territory was slightly dangerous because that would mean the human was ready to depart into the reaper employment. Not many reapers liked the newbies. To get around the problem, you open a forbidden portal.  As soon as the swirling vortex looked stable as it twirled, she jumps in. The portal closing behind her with a pop. On the other side of the portal, you find yourself in what appears to be that boy’s home. You glanced around for him, but there seemed to be no one there. Seeing that the coast was clear, you relax and explore your surroundings. It was very different from viewing it from an image portal.

A few hours later of exploring, the sound of the front door unlocking and creaking open echoed throughout the quiet house. When you heard the unlocking of the door you hid in the kitchen but were able to peek out into the living room to see who had come into the home through the front door. The red-haired boy walks in, closing the door behind him then took his shoes off. He hadn’t seen you or suspected you were there, just doing his daily routine after coming home from work. Silently, you watch as he does this just like you had before you went through the portal to the human world.

The boy sits down on the couch, turning on the TV. He was relaxing, which meant he wouldn’t find you yet until he got up to go into another part of the house. There were only a few other hiding places before he’d eventually found you. Apart of you wanted him to see you but there was a chance it would look weird if you were suddenly spotted in his house. To him, you were a stranger with very odd looking robes that looked like they came from an old coffin. You lean your back against the wall, trying to calm your nerves. Your breath was heavy and your stomach did flips. It was a battle inside of your body, trying to choose whether or not to get spotted. Taking a deep breath and sighing, you calm your beating heart. You had to be brave and show yourself, how else would these feelings go away?

Keeping your cool, you lowly tip-toe out of hiding, going into the living room. The redheads back turned to you. You cough to get his attention, and he was quick to whip his head around to face you. His expression of shock all over his face, while your face showed a clear nervous look with your slight fidgeting. “Um.. hi”, You sheepishly smile at him, your heart beating hard inside your chest. “Hi… How did you get in?”, He asked, wary of you so far. You take another deep breath to calm yourself so you could speak, “I’m from the afterlife, I work there as a reaper, someone who watches humans and keeps a balance between life and death”. You explained, hoping you didn’t sound crazy. “If you're a reaper, then wouldn’t it mean anyone who sees you is to… you know… die soon?”, he asked calmly, trying not to be harsh about his words. “Yeah… but this time is different. I swear”, you replied, biting your lip as you choose your next words wisely, “This time I fell in love with you. Someone who was supposed to go through the cycle. However, I just couldn’t go through with it”. He listened to you, then skootched over on the couch. Patting the seat next to him, he offered you a seat. You sit down next to him, the butterflies in your stomach fluttering like crazy. “Why couldn’t you do it? I mean you probably had plenty of more humans before me… but what made me different?”, he asked out of curiosity. You smile, feeling the lovely warm feeling inside as you thought about all the things you’ve seen about him, “I wasn’t sure at first when I first saw you, but my feelings kept growing. I could finally name the things I loved about you. Your warm smiling, loving eyes, caring personality. There is so much I love about you, even the things you believe are flaws. They’re all beautiful to me”. The redhead blushed almost red as his hair hearing this, now giving you a sheepish smile, “I.. I never heard someone say something so nice like that before”. You smiled happily, you were bursting at the seams with joy to see him respond positively to your compliment. It felt so good… something you haven’t felt for decades. Making you feel like your soul was filling up with this warm feeling that made your entire being want to vibrate and glow.

And that’s how the hours into the night began. Your voices speaking back and forth over the sound of the TV. Finally, you were able to talk with him, no longer feeling nervous to do so. Not for a second have you ever thought back to the void you once felt merely weeks ago. That void has been filled with happiness that you thought you’d never received again. It was all because of him. The redhead boy who’s smile light up your darkness. His kindness warms your heart. And his eyes made you want to fall in love all over again.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

There was no possible way to see the inevitable. But there was a way to prepare. A way to prevent it from happening too soon. There was always a way, but soon enough there was no escaping it. However being a chosen for greatness saved you from many many things. No one knows how or why, but they believe there is a guardian angel watching over them somewhere.

Shoto has been saved by many things throughout his childhood ever since his mother was taken away. The little things you couldn’t prevent of course, but being stopped from crossing the street just before a car goes by is one of the incidents that happened. He was young, maybe eight or so and he was playing outside when he lost the object he was playing with since nobody would really come to play with him. The object went over the fence and into the street just beyond it, so he went and tried to retrieve it. But before he could cross the street a girl his age stops him from going, grabbing his arm and pulling him back onto the sidewalk. “You got to look both ways”, she tells him, her big bright eyes looking into his mismatched ones. He remained quiet as he looked at her. No one really had done anything nice for him in a long time. There were no words he could think of to thank her or say anything for that matter. She let go of him, seeing he wouldn’t run back into the street, “I’m (Y/N)”. He bowed slightly in respect, “I’m Shoto Todoroki. It’s nice to meet you”. The girl giggles, making him stand up straight again and look at her with confusion. “What’s so funny?”, Shoto asked. “You don’t have to be so formal. We’re friends now… right?”, She smiled warmly at him. He hadn’t expected her to call them friends so soon, but he nods and smiles softly in reply, “yeah, we’re friends”. Those words were foreign to him, but they felt so good to finally say.

Years later, Shoto and (Y/N) continued to be friends all the way up to high school. They were heading to UA together as one of the recommended students. Shoto was ecstatic to be able to spend more time with his best and only friend. However, he only just slightly smiled with the corner of his mouth lifted. They were in the same class and sat generally close to each other in the seating order. It seemed all the odds worked in their favor. Until the training started.

They got right into things, from testing out their quirks to learning how teams worked. They even went to the rescuing training dome called the USJ. But that day took a turn for the worst. Hundreds of villains attacked and the entire class was split up. However, it seemed (Y/N) went out of her way to find Shoto and help him fend off all the villains. It was slightly odd for someone to risk other lives who were closer. She specifically knew where he was and got there in seconds like she had some kind of foresight. But these facts seemed to fly over Shoto’s head, believing their bond as best friends were immensely strong. This, of course, didn’t go over other students heads. Some even tried to make a point with Shoto about (Y/N), but Shoto never listened to them. Thinking they were jealous that they weren’t best friends to a loyal, kind friend like (Y/N).

A few days after, the sports festival came along. It was a huge event for showing off UA’s students and all their strong quirks. Crowds cheered as people won or someone showed off an awesome move that knocked everyone’s socks off. The smell of vendor food could definitely be smelled throughout the whole festival, making anyone hungry no matter what they had eaten that day. Everything at the festival seemed to be going great… until students had to fight one another. (Y/N) had lost one of the matches and sat up on the stands cheering Shoto on, but she was nervous about this round. Something about it made her uneasy and she couldn’t exactly pinpoint it. For now, however, she had to shove those nerves to the side and pretend everything was fine.

Izuku and Shoto were on a roll, defeating one student after another with little effort. They ended up having to face one another in battle. Those red flags inside (Y/N) were going off way before the two fighters even got up the stairs to the fighting grounds. She worried, mostly because she wasn’t allowed to interfere with the battles between the two students. It could make someone be disqualified. However, you knew Shoto could handle himself for most of it. Maybe frustrate Izuku to finally show his true colors. Yeah, that’s right, Izuku isn’t as sweet as everyone believed. (Y/N) knew, she always did. The green-haired boy even went up to her and threatened the life of Shoto for many reasons, one of them being her being apart of his life. The whole conversation left her stomach pitted with dread. She remembered and she will always will, because Izuku was a threat to Shoto’s life which (Y/N) has sworn to protect with her own.

The fight between Izuku and Shoto began. It started out mellow, but it was evident that the green-haired boy was having some frustration even trying to defeat Shoto while being laid back as possible. Soon enough Izuku was landing blows that were illegal because of his intentions. The teacher down near the arena tried to stop it but wasn’t fast enough. But (Y/N) was faster. Wings spread wide and like a lightning bolt, she lands in between the two fighters. The ground cracks with her landing force, while the charged punch Izuku was going to land on Shoto lands directly onto her stomach. Knocking her back a few feet but she stood her ground. The single punch had busted a few ribs and started some internal bleeding. But (Y/N) needed to fight on until the teachers were able to knock Izuku unconscious to stop him. Izuku was rather infuriated when she interfered, and with a blinding rage he takes a few more attacks and directs them towards (Y/N). she dodges a few but he was just as fast as her, maybe even faster. Her lip bleed, letting a little stream of red go down her chin and neck. Bruises on her chest and stomach appeared, looking like a brutal purplish-black mark. But she kept getting back up and standing her ground, keeping the distance between Izuku and Shoto. Luckily, Midnight peeled off a part of her suit and released the knockout gas. Letting Izuku and (Y/N) fall to the ground, blacked out completely. Then medics began to take the two knocked out student and bring them to the infirmary for Recovery Girl to help fix them up.

When (Y/N) wakes up, she looks up at the white ceiling then around the room. She felt too tired and sore to even lift her head more than an inch off the pillow. However, a smile found a way upon her lips as she sees Shoto, no injuries as far as the eye can see on him. You had done your job once and again. Shoto sat quietly by your side. He needed no words to thank you, knowing being there for you while you were injured was enough. You placed a hand on him before closing your eyes to rest completely. Hoping you’d get your time to recover before anything else happened to come along and try and hurt Shoto again.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

10 months is the deadline. It wasn’t that long really, especially when you were still trying to get through your third year of middle school. It wasn’t terrible if you don’t meet the deadline, but you wanted to meet it. For you see, you’d be stuck dating Bakugou while you were at UA if you didn’t find another date before the deadline. In a way, you wanted to date him but you questioned if being around such an angry boy was good for your health. He was already your close friend, how close could you be to him? Bakugou was hard to get close to sometimes anyways, not many people knew what he was thinking or feeling but a few were allowed to do so. You predicted it being a rough rollercoaster ride if you were to date him at all. So you tried to find a date. Try being the keyword.

During the lunch break in school, you were talking with a bunch of your friends at a table. You most likely wouldn’t see all of them when you went to high school, so it was better to spend time with them as much as possible. They all knew you were looking for a date, not sure on the exact details as to why, but they made sure the words got out. Trying to make it easier for you to find someone, maybe someone who’s brave enough to wander up and say they liked you. And to your luck, a guy comes walking up to you during lunch. “Hey, (Y/N). I was wondering if you’d want to hang out sometime. Just you and me”, He was trying to be smooth, putting on a smile to entice you further. “Sure, where and when?”, you replied happily. All it took was once glance over your shoulder and he went pale as a ghost. He must have seen something because he was sweating bullets and tripping over his words, “on s-second thought, I have some really important homework to do all week”. Then the guy turned and booked it out of the cafeteria. Leaving you confused with a raised eyebrow in concern. “That was odd”, you muttered to yourself.

Way over your shoulder during lunch time, Bakugou sat with his own friends. His friends did most of the talking while his eyes were watching you the whole time. He had watched you get up from your table as a guy approached. It seemed like the guy wanted a chat, however, Bakugou wasn’t keen on that idea. Giving the most threatening glare in his whole life, he made sure to direct it towards the guy who just so happened to glance at him. The guy was evidently shaking in his shoes, said something and ran out of the cafeteria. Leaving you alone. Bakugou’s work was done and he went back to relaxing during his lunch break.

A few months in, you managed to get a date. It wasn’t official until after a couple dates though, but so far so good. You nearly thought no one wanted to date you. Whenever you walked up to ask someone or they come up to you, they soon ended up running away and never talking to you again. So when you managed to get a date after school with one of the sweetest people in the school, you couldn’t be happier. Almost instantly the both of you plan to go to a nice little restaurant later that week. You had to tell your friends about the luck that finally arrived at the party.

The second the words got out in school that you were going on a date someone, Bakugou found out. He couldn't believe he didn’t catch the person before they asked you out. There was still room for change though. After school one day, before the end of the week, Bakugou takes it upon himself to drag the person outside and have a little ‘talk’. The person was terrified as they were corned between the wall and the angry blonde who was using surprisingly a quiet angry voice. It made it scarier though, especially when Bakugou was showing off his quirk. Letting the little pops of tiny explosions sound off really close to the person’s face. “Fucking stay away from (Y/N) and you won’t get hurt you, shitty nerd!”, Bakugou warned them, then left them shaking like a leaf in the wind.

The day you were supposed to be going on the date, the person cancels. Saying something about some important family issues. You understood, but the person never rescheduled the date. Even after a month. Heck, they didn’t even talk to you the whole time at school or after. You may have text them once to check up and see if they even wanted to date you, but no reply. This was starting to get to you and there seemed to be no luck whatsoever.

With a month left, you began to just talk with Bakugou. Just chilling in his room like you always did as friends, but now there was that potential of being more than friends floating in the air. There was no more hope. Nearly everyone in the school was scared to even ask you out on a date. You didn’t know why of course. Maybe they were afraid you wouldn’t give them time since you were heading to one of the best schools in Japan. The thoughts of it made you feel bad, and you asked Bakugou about it once time. “Why should you care what those extras think or do? If they’re not brave enough then they don’t deserve you”, Bakugou told you when you asked. It made you feel better and a lot more worthy than before. But now you had to worry about how’d you feel dating Bakugou for most of your school time in UA. How would it go? Would he try to be nicer? Maybe take you out to nice restaurants every now and again? You wouldn’t know until the time came.

And soon enough, your first day at UA was finally here. It was officially the day you and Bakugou were dating. Knowing that and starting your first day mixed in your uneasy stomach. So many nerve-wracking things but also exciting new things yet to be discovered. Though you could hardly believe you were nervous about anything once you got through the day. The teacher was pretty cool and you already got started with classwork which was definitely better than middle school’s work. And Bakugou was actually really sweet. He may have not seemed that way towards others, but to you he was. He even yelled at the grape boy for even looking at you, which was a fun time for everyone to enjoy.

You and Bakugou shared some good times over the course of a month. Having study time for just the two of you in his or your dorm room. Going out to little restaurants when there wasn’t school. Training together, he even taught you a few defensive moves. Overall your worry before starting UA sounded irrational and completely unopened to the possibility that this angry blonde boy was the nicest person you were going to meet. Not to mention he knew you pretty well.

One day when the whole class was hanging out, you were talking with Midoriya despite Bakugou’s protests. The green-haired boy was happy for the both of you when he heard about the two of you dating. “I’m surprised, you seemed to have so much luck at the middle school”, Midoriya said. You wince a little at the mention of luck, “really? It didn’t feel like luck. Everyone ran away and stopped talking with me for some reason”. Midoriya raised an eyebrow in confusion, “So Kacchan didn’t tell you?”. “Tell me what?”, you wondered, confused and worried now. Did something bad happen? “(Y/N), Bakugou was supposed to tell you but he’s the reason why you never had any luck with any dates”, Midoriya tells you. This was starting to make sense now. The reason for people being nervous was because they were afraid Bakugou would hurt them. But didn’t Bakugou said he was allowing you to have other dates unless you didn’t get one before UA? Though there were no rules about the agreement, just that one thing; ‘if you didn’t get a date before UA, you’d date Bakugou’. “Thanks for telling me Deku, I’ll make sure to talk with Bakugou about this”, you said with a smile. “No problem, just don’t tell Kacchan I told you. I don’t want to go to Recovery Girl again”, Midoriya laughed nervously.

Later that evening you and Bakugou have another one of your study sessions. Just you and him, no one else. Your mind was elsewhere while you were trying to study. Figuring out a way to bring up the topic. “Oi! Pay attention, we got that fucking test in a few days!” Bakugou yells, grabbing your attention. You sigh and look at him, “why did you scare away all those people?”. He was surprised and stopped what he was doing for a few seconds. “What do you mean?”, Bakugou asked, giving you a suspicious look. “The people who asked me out on dates. You scared them away… didn’t you?”, you asked again, rewording it. He looks to the floor, frowning slightly. You finally figured it out and he was wondering if you hated him for it. “I wanted you… not anyone else. Just didn’t have the words at the time to even say it”, Bakugou tells you, being honest. You smiled softly, “you know, that was a pretty sneaky way to tell someone you love them. A lot of work but I’m sure it’s worth it, just make sure you take me out on a lot more dates”. He chuckled, “as if I haven’t already”. “There are still plenty more days ahead of us you know, there’s always room for a couple more”, you said with hope that you barely knew months ago. “Pfffh, we still have school work to do! Let’s get this over and done with!”, Bakugou yelled impatiently. You didn’t mind his yelling, it had turned rather cute as he tries to hide the feelings from you which didn’t work a bit. Despite what had happened and how many people that probably got hurt in some kind of way, you were glad Bakugou kept fighting to have you as his girl. There was no one else anymore that you could see being there for you like he is. He was that luck that finally came along.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Yesterday was very… eventful. There are no other words of how to describe it without telling the story. The one thing you were thankful for was that Izuku didn't harm anyone during or after. A feat in itself really.

The other day you had gone to hang out with a couple of your friends from school. Izuku knew this of course and allowed you to go with them after you promised you'd be back before dinner. He was making your favorite meal and didn't want it to get cold, which was reasonable enough even if he wasn't visibly yandere to you.

Yeah, you knew he was yandere. It wasn't that bad, though he could get intensely aggressive towards those who dared to touch or talk to you in a way that may seem inappropriate. But it was easy to get him away. Just taking his hand and saying the both of you were leaving together, then walking off with him only helps keep his cool. Though there were only a few times you had to do this.

Yesterday was one of those incidents. Izuku wasn't supposed to be coming with you, but he had followed not too far behind you as you hang out with your friends. He had hide very well, not even you noticed at first. A shady guy comes walking up to the group of your friends who happened to be all girls and you all basically had a girls’ day out. The guy begins hitting on all your friends including you. Izuku seemed to have lost his cool after a few minutes of this scene and marched over, grabbed the shady guy by the collar and dragged him away from your friends. You noticed Izuku and quickly got up and called for him, not wanting any violence to go down in public. A few of your friends were surprisingly shouting encouraging words to break the shady guy. Only making it worse. Izuku dragged the guy into an alley and you followed behind, slightly panting. Your boyfriend was fast when he was boiling mad, especially when his full cowl was running through his entire body. Izuku slammed the guy down onto the ground, not hurting him really but just a little shock to show the aggression the green-haired boy had within. The guy was already shaking in his boots before that and just curled up into fetal position begging for Izuku not to beat him up. You called your boyfriend's name and quickly took a hold of Izuku’s hand. He glanced at you, his glare melted as he let go of the full cowl so he wouldn't accidentally hurt you. You told him you two should go, just him and you. He glanced at the guy on the ground still begging, then back at you with a soft smile. Izuku agreed, wrapping an arm around you and walking out of the alley side by side.

Today you could still feel the effects of Izuku’s aggression from yesterday. He was clingy and desperate to keep you in the house, least for today. But you couldn't blame him for being insecure, especially when that guy looked shady. For all, you knew Izuku could have known the guy and was going to beat him up without any provocation. So you agreed to Izuku’s terms for today. Just taking a day to relax in your pajamas while laying your head in your boyfriend's lap, watching whatever was on TV that interested you.

After a few hours of watching TV, you sat up and stretched. He looked at you curiously, wondering why you were shifting after being so comfortable. You smile toward him to reassure, then spoke up, “you want anything while I'm heading to the kitchen?”. Izuku shook his head no, “Nah, just you”. Nodding with a sweet smile adoring your lips, you walk into the kitchen to get a snack. Your thoughts wandered as your eyes grazed over everything in the cupboard. Yesterday still on your mind, especially when Izuku nearly beat up that guy. It was a nice save, but the potential violence was unnecessary sometimes. You wondered if you should tell Izuku how you felt, just to let it out.

Making your decision, you take your selected food and head back to the living room. Sitting down on the couch next to your boyfriend who gladly wraps an arm around your shoulders, you lay your head on him and relaxed once again. A few more silent minutes of starring at the TV, you finally take the moment to speak up. “Izuku… why did you try to hurt that man?”, you asked, slightly hesitant but you needed to know just out of curiosity. He looked at you with a slight frown, “He was bothering you and your friends, I couldn’t just watch that”. “I know… but I was just wondering if you knew him somehow. He seemed awfully shady to me”, You tell him. Izuku gives you a reassuring smile that slightly lifts your spirits, “Don’t worry too much about him (Y/N). I’m sure he’ll never bother you and your friends again”. He placed a sweet kiss on your forehead before looking back at the TV with you. Trusting Izuku, you think nothing more of the other day.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Kirishima couldn’t have been more excited to hear his girl was having a kid. But when they discover it was going to be twins, he was twice as happier about the news. He could barely contain his thoughts in wonder. What would it be like having two kids? Would they actually look identically? Would they have similar quirks as they grow up? The excitement was almost overloading him with all kinds of thoughts. He’d have to come back to earth at some point, there were many things he needed to do. Helping you was one of them and another was packing for the beach tomorrow.

The next day, the whole Bakusquad drove down to the beach in Kiri’s mini-van. At first, everyone teased him for it but once they realized that it had plenty more uses than just for parenting, they wanted one too. It fit everyone and their things without a problem for leg room or personal space. When they got there, there was plenty of parking spaces this early morning. It wasn’t even close to the afternoon, which gave them time to themselves without having to worry about the other people around them.

After setting up a little spot for their beach things, like chairs, towels, umbrellas and more, they started a volleyball game with the net that was already set up there. Mina bumped and set the ball, starting a simple toss back and forth over the net between the two teams. “Yo, Bakugou, heard you're rising up in the ranks. How’s that going?”, Sero asked, starting a conversation. Bakugou huffed, “It’s harder than I thought it would be. Damn fucking side-kicks keep getting in my way”. Mina laughed, “you aren’t pushing them out of the way? That’s surprising”. “I tried! But my damn boss lectured me the last time I did it!”, Bakugou argued. Everyone except Bakugou laughed a little. Who knew Bakugou was going have those mundane boss and coworker problems, despite being in the hero business.

“What about your work Mina? You're a rescuer hero right?”, Kirishima asked, spiking the ball finally over the net to take a point. “It’s pretty cool, I work with a lot of different heroes and side-kicks. Sometimes Sero and I are teamed up when a building has collapsed or need keep falling rubble to a minimum during a fight”, Mina smiled happily. She had a lot going on for being one of the simple heroes, but her part of the job saves way more lives than any other. “It’s great that they put us together sometimes. We at least know each other well and can work together faster that way”, Sero comes in with his worn piece to say. “Now I’m just waiting for the day we have to clean up after Bakuoug’s fight against a big villain”, Mina giggled.  Bakugou glared and began protesting against the teasing words of his friends, “hey! I don’t destroy everything you know! I’ve got way more fucking control than some of those wannabes out there!”. Sero laughs, “yeah, we know. But still, we might be there just in case. You never know what might happen”. Everyone agreed upon that as they continued their volleyball match. Kirishima and Bakugou versus Mina, Sero, and Denki.

“Yo Denki! What’s it like being part-time?”, Mina asked, glancing at her electrical friend. “It’s actually not that bad. It’s like working as a side-kick, but way more freedom”, Denki replied. Bakugou scoffed, “you better not being getting in the way of anyone”. Denki sweatdropped, laughing nervously, “yeah, staying out of trouble and keeping to myself. Ya know… trying not to die by the hands of my own friend”. Sero snickered, “dude, what did you do this time?”. “Well… I accidentally shocked Bakugou when we were sparring…”, Denki began, not really wanting to talk about because it was embarrassing. “I used him as a dummy for the next part of my training. He was lucky he was able to move”, Bakugou continued the story, smirking proudly. Mina, Sero, and Kirishima laughed for a while. Denki went red in the face with embarrassment, “guys! It’s not funny! I could have gotten seriously hurt!”. Mina spoke through her laughter, “Nah, your fine”. “but what if I wasn't?”, Denki whines. “aw, don't be a baby Denki, Bakugou wouldn't actually hurt you. He knows you can dodge well”, Sero smiles reassuringly. “have you seen him when he's angry?!”  Denki continues to complain.

After a good volleyball match, the group moves on to relax. Laying on the sand or sitting in their beach chairs, soaking up all the sun they could get. Who knew if it was going to rain later or the rest of the week. “Hey, Kirishima”, Denki called, glancing at the redhead. “Yeah?”, Kirishima replied, looking over at Denki. “How are you and (Y/N)? I heard you were expecting a kid”, Denki asked, smiling big. Mina perked up as she hears the topic, “oh, yay! That sounds so exciting. Your one lucky guy, Kiri!”. Kirishima chuckled and smiles happily, “yeah, I was meaning to tell you some more news today about that”. “What about?”, Sero questioned, also interested in the conversation.  “Well, (Y/N) and I went to the doctors for the baby checkup and we found out that we’re not having just one child. It’s actually twins!”, Kirishima announced, grinning excitedly. He was so proud. Bakugou looked at his friend with wide surprised eyes, “so you're telling me you’re going to have two mini-yous running around?”. “Pretty much” Kirishima laughed lightly. Bakugou didn’t seem pleased at the sound of that, but he smiled at Kiri. Proud of his best friend for all that Kirishima has accomplished.

Now all they could talk about for a few hours straight was about the twins Kirishima and (Y/N) were expecting. Mina even asked if they would make a baby shower, which was a definite yes from Kiri. Sero and Denki asked about how the whole pregnancy was going along, trying to debunk all the fake rumors about women when they are pregnant. They were all happy for their redhead friend, even when he could potentially not spend as much time with them once the babies were born and for a long time after that. Bakugou called dibs on being godfather though.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You were an average human who just happened to have a blood quirk. Nothing too special going on, just getting through life.
Your quirk enabled you to move blood cells at a certain range around you. Some blood types are harder to control than others, your type, of course, being the easiest.
Then out of the blue, you met Shoto. At first not realizing what he really was. Just found it odd that you two only met during the night.
He was kind and polite. An exact image of a gentleman. Sometimes he even dressed in a Victorian suit, making the image more visual.
You two seemed to always see each other in the exact location and at the exact same time. It seemed you just happened to cross paths at this time, however, he was secretly hunting you as his prey.
He chooses his victims by random, so he knew nothing about you at first until he began to follow you. And as time went on, he fell in love.
Shoto sought romance, but it was hopeless it seemed at times. But he thought he’d have a chance with you.
Taking the chance he asks you out on a date. All goes well for about a week or so until it became strange that he would only see him during the night time.
There was only so many lies that could be told, so Shoto took a breath and told you the truth one day.
Surprisingly you weren’t scared, despite knowing he could have drunk your blood or harmed you. However those thoughts were irrational, you knew Shoto was a kind soul.
To be even, you tell him about your quirk. He finds it quite usefully actually and offers a partnership for when he has to go out and find his prey.
You take the time to think about his offer but accept it a few days later, wanting to know more about his vampiric habits and powers. What better way to find out than to see for yourself?
He takes you nearly twice a week in the middle of the night when average humans sleep, taking you to one of his prey and have you help him harvest some blood into packets so he could drink blood every day without harming anyone in the process.
It wasn’t too bad of a partnership. You both keep lives safe and you get to spend quality time with each other in his natural setting he was most comfortable in.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You had spent most of your day sitting in the living room in front of your laptop looking through costumes online. It was so hard to find something that would fit you and be comfortable. Not to mention you couldn’t see the costumes in real time. It would be weird for a pregnant person to be standing in the adult section of the Halloween costumes for hours, just starring and not even going to buy anything else. Someone would surely ask if you were alright if you did that.

Sighing in defeat, you push the laptop to the side and sit back on the couch. A definite frown etched on your lips. The sound of the front door unlocking and swinging opening brings you out of your disappointed disarray. You look over to your favorite redhead, making you smile a little. “Hey bae, how was your day?”, he asked you, shutting the door and taking off his shoes. “Disappointing”, you reply shortly. Kirishima looks at you, eyebrow raised in question, “why is that?”. You sigh, feeling the past frustration coming back to haunt you, “I’ve been trying to figure out my Halloween costume for the party, but haven’t found much luck”. “Do you want some help?”, he asks, coming over and sitting next to you. “That’d be lovely”, you smiled, feeling a little bit of hope now. Kirishima pulls the laptop closer to the edge of the coffee table and looks over the list of costumes you were debating over the whole day.

After a minute or so of him looking it over, he turns to look at you, “none of these are what you really want, huh?”. “Pretty much. All I want is something to fit me and feel comfortable”, you replied, crossing your arms and frowning. It seemed hopeless. “What about being a mummy?”, he cracked a smile, joking slightly. You raised an eyebrow as you also smile, “pretty good idea, but I doubt it would be comfortable. Probably a little too hot for comfort”. “Yeah, but it’s just a suggestion. I’ll maybe think of something else later, maybe something more of a help”, Kirishima smiles, not wanting to give up. He kissed your cheek and stands up from the couch, also helping you stand up since it was hard to do so with a bigger belly than your use to.

It wasn’t until later when you were getting ready for bed that he suggested another costume outfit. When you were putting on your pajamas he seemed to get an idea. “How about you wear your favorite new pajamas?”, He asked. The words confused at first since it was out of the blue, but you realized what he was talking about. “It’s not a sleepover though”, you questioned why he offered such an idea. “Its comfortable and fits. Plus it’s considered a costume. Maybe get some slippers, a sleeping mask, and a stuff animal or pillow. Complete simple costume all ready and cozy for both the party and after”, Kirishima goes on and explains his idea. It makes a whole lot more sense and would probably work. “You’re a genius! I’ll definitely want to sleep after the party and that makes it so much easier”, you smiled brightly, “thanks Kiri!”. “No problem babe, just helping out the love of my life”, Kirishima kissed our forehead with a smile gracing his lips.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It was a wonderful crisp autumn afternoon. The leaves were blowing in the chilly wind as the trees begin to lose more and more of their flaming leaves. Colors from the trees begin to spread to the ground, coating it in all the fiery hues of the fall. Making the crunch underneath the feet of those who walked along the ground.

The leaves shuffled and crinkled as Kirishima, your dog and you walked together through a park. Your dog, (Dog’s Name) was bounding through the leaves happily, slightly pulling at the leash at times. You could handle the rambunctious medium sized dog, but there was at times you worried if they’ll finally drag you down to the ground. Especially if they see a squirrel or some other wildlife they find interest in.

Sure enough, today was the day your dog finally tugged hard enough and caught you by surprise. Luckily you fall back into some leaves and still are hanging onto the leash. You could hear Kirishima laughing lightly, especially when (Dog’s Name) is bounding over to you with their wet nose sniffing at you. They lick at your face, checking to see if you were alright. The feeling of your dog’s tongue and the smell of their breath makes you scrunch your nose in slight disgust. While you were making that face Kirishima caught a picture of you and your dog on the ground. It was a nice picture, perfect lighting and a wholesome time at the park in one shot.

“Alright, need some help up?”, Kirishima puts his phone away, offering you a hand up. You nod in reply, taking his hand. He helps you to your feet, your dog sniffing at you still. (Dog’s Name) was just happy you were alright and ready to continue the walk, they hoped so at least. You glanced at your dog, smiling. The fall wasn’t as bad as you expected to be when you felt that jolting pull on your body. You only hoped next time it happens it’ll be fine too.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You were getting ready in your dorm for the Halloween party that was taking place in class 1-A’s common room. You weren’t in the same class as 1-A, but you were dating Kirishima who was. So you were invited by invitation. It also seemed like some of Kirishima’s close friends wanted to meet you, so the party may just be making new friends which was nice.

You weren’t aware of Kiri’s exact outfit, but you knew it went with the theme of Little Red Riding Hood. he wasn’t aware of yours either, so it was going to be a surprise for the both of you in a way. So when you came down to your dorm building’s common room to meet your boyfriend, you were in utter surprise. Jaw dropped, eyes wide. He was proud of himself as he looked at your expression. Hands on his hips as he wore that big grin on his face. You were so surprised Kiri went for the style. It was so bold! Not to mention it looked amazing on him.

Kirishima had dressed as little red riding hood, and he had worn the dress, tights, and heels. Being almost exact with how the outfit was betrayed in the story. He didn’t mind either, he was super happy with how it turned out. And when he saw you, his boyfriend dressed as the wolf he couldn’t help but smile happier. You may have not put a whole lot into the costume, but it looked great! You looked great in anything to him really.

“Come on (Y/N), we don’t want to keep anyone waiting”, Kiri said, taking you out of your shocked state. You finally closed your mouth after staring at your boyfriend's amazing costume. But what shocked you more as he pulled on the chain attached to the collar you wore for the wolf costume. Your cheeks burned red as he led you along with the chain that was more meant for a fashion statement.

When the both of you entered Class 1-A’s common room, you noticed there was way more than 20 people there. It was also slightly crowded, but not too bad. It was a decent party with food, drinks, music, chit-chat and even a few Halloween games going on the sides of the room. “Hey, Kirishima!”, a few students called over your boyfriend seems to be good friends with him. You may have met them once or twice, but it wasn't often you saw them. “Hey, guys! I brought someone I liked you to meet”, Kirishima was ecstatic when his friends came over to talk. Mina seemed to be too when she shouts, “Aw! Your couple costumes are adorable! It’s way too perfect”. You were unsure of what to say, but you smiled kindly towards the group. Kiri seemed to have some nice friends.

Kirishima did most of the talking, but finally, his friends went off to go cause some kind of trouble or something. Leaving you and Kiri to find the rest of the party. The first stop you both hit was the dance floor. A song had come on that got the both of you in the groove, dancing with one another. You twirled Kirishima once, making the skirt of his dress flow with his movements. He overly enjoyed twirling with you, making it a little more dramatic by extending the arm not holding yours. By the end of the song, the both of you were sweating at the brow from the warm stuffy air. Kirishima pulled you away from the dance floor and outside to get some fresh air.

The crisp cold air of autumn filled your lungs, unlike the one inside the building. Kirishima held your hand as you both stand outside. The star twinkling above your heads in the deep midnight blue sky, with the moon’s pale light shining alongside them. Kiri looked to you with a happy smile, “You enjoy the party hun?”. “Yeah, I didn’t expect it to be so crowded though”, You replied with a smile. “Heh, yeah. But it’s awesome the classes are getting along well. I remember the first year we were all just competing”, Kirishima brought up the memory, making you nod in agreement. You weren’t one of the competitive students, but you remembered your peers were very much into defeating Class 1-A since they became pretty famous. You were suddenly wiped out of your memories as you feel Kirishima pull at the collar around your neck again. Before you could react, his lips crashed onto yours. You couldn’t really complain about the rough way he pulled you in for a kiss, you liked it too much. Especially when you melted into and made the kiss last longer than a minute or so.

When the both of your pulled away for air, cheeks dusted pink in the pale moonlight. “You need to quit pulling on it, people are going to get the wrong idea”, You whispered o Kiri. He only chuckles, “aw, but it’s fun. I don’t even see any other reason for you wearing it. But it does look cool all the same”. You laugh, “how long do I have to keep it on then?”. “Just for tonight”, Kirishima said, then took your hand again to lead you back inside, “let’s just enjoy ourselves. There’s plenty more to do at the party!”.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Are you sure about this? I feel ridiculous”, Kirishima looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was slicked back with some kind of hair gel. Smelling sweet of a honey fragrance that was nice on his sensitive nose. Body covered in velvet garments that were supposed to be a noble's fashion in the present day. It was layered; a white blouse shirt that had lace at the cuffs and collar, a fiery maroon long vest that was soft to the touch with golden buttons and details, silky pants covered his legs along with socks and buckled shoes, and for the final touch a scarf like tie added a spice of yellow to the outfit as it was tied right under his collar. “Yes, I’m sure you idiot. Now stop fidgeting”, Bakugou growled as he helped his friend dress. It was to be a huge event and Kiri had to look the part. “Alright, but I’m still worried about this. I’ve never done anything like this before”, Kirishima confessed to Bakugou for the umpteenth time.

He was still nervous even if he was half-way into the building. Everything gleamed with a polish look. Even the drab grey stone was elegant here. Not only did the luxurious setting made him queasy, the people even more so. Their manners and posh lifestyle was so much different than his. Kirishima was used to wearing no shoes and dusty caves. Nature was his giver, not his wealth. But no matter how the current events upset him, he could not turn back now. People back home, including his best friend, are counting on him. So he'd have to suffer for the greater good.

The ballroom glistened and gleamed extravagantly. Huge crystal chandeliers hanged up above like angel’s light, sparkling like the sun’s early rays. Windows were tall and viewed over the ocean from the cliff the castle sat upon. Letting the cool summer’s cloud contrast with the liveliness of the room. Gold was the trim of every corner and crevice of the round room, making the room alight more than ever. The Wallpaper was even more brilliant, the detail so fine that you could barely see the lines from a short distance. Velvet tapestry and Silky tablecloths covered the more bland furniture, tying the room together even further. There were many other marvels to behold. Golden silverware, crystal glasses, and ceramic plates and bowels all placed on the buffet table aligned on one side of the room against the wall. Along with platters of freshly made food laid entirely along the table like surreal art splattered with millions of colors. Off in the other corner of the room, an orchestra played. Setting a sweet mood for the dancers that waltz across the glossy tiles. Nearly everything was awe-striking for Kirishima, even making the stomach twist mellow in his childlike wonder.

He felt like a wallflower, just standing there off to the side next to the buffet table. A few people greeted him with little ‘how-do-you-do’s which made Kiri feel better about speaking to the other guests. Though he stuck to his corner with a glass in his hand, sipping leisurely from it. Trying his best to blend in without too many attentive eyes on him. Watching the event that filled the entire room.

Dancers waltz gracefully in circles, all of them in sync. Their feet were light as feathers, not clicking their shoes across the solid floor below. Big ball gowns that the woman wore swept the floor with their swirling skirts. Looking like flowers falling from a tree in a bird's eye view. It was a magnificent sight to behold… but not as beautiful as something, or in this case someone else. The glint of a sparkling dress caught Kirishima’s eyes, making him turn his head in full. There, walking down the polished marble staircase was a gorgeous woman. Skin glowing in the brilliant chandelier light. Hair was woven as if from a shimmering spool of thread, all done nicely in braids with little jewels spread throughout. Her face adorn with little makeup, but her lips had a wonderful gold sheen and eyes winged as if she were part songbird. But the main attraction was the luxurious golden dress hugging her figure with a flowing skirt that wasn't quite like the other ball gowns. It's fabric underneath must have been yellow due to how bright it shined. Swirls of gold-dusted the surface of the dress, making designs most extravagant.

All eyes were attracted to her, even the graceful dancers stopped twirling to stare.

Kirishima was awestruck, yet his eyes were wide in a mix of horror. ‘I… I can't do this’, he thought to himself, closing his jaw after it nearly dropped to the floor. Internal conflict threw him through a loop. How could the objective be so beautiful? It would be a sin to even touch her. But there was no going back now, he has come too far for that now. ‘I have to do this. Think of it as an opportunity’, Kiri steeled his nerves, placing the glass down as his feet began to take him through the crowd.

The dancers slowly begin to waltz once again, but the bystanders watch the woman walk down the grand staircase. Waiting for her to take the first step on the ballroom floor before crowding her with questions and compliments spilling from their lips that barely moved. Kirishima had tried getting through the crowd but ended up being shoved away. It would be hell trying to get past them for sure. But just as he turns to wait, the crowd parts as the woman walks his way. Her back turned towards him as she tries desperately to leave the storm of people for just a minute. Feet shuffling backward as the crowd was kept at bay with her kind words of goodbye. Though the dress’ skirt was long and got caught under the heels she wore. Slipping backward, the woman yelped in surprise. Kirishima wasn't the most graceful being in the room, but he sure felt as such when his feet moved before the thoughts rushed to his head. His arms caught the falling woman and spun like the dancers to have her upright on her feet. At the moment, Kiri felt alive but the embarrassment set in once the adrenaline went away. Their faces inches apart and chests pressed together as if they were mid-tango. The flush of his cheeks rushes to the surface as quick as his skipping heartbeat. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach when her lips curved into a smile as her eyes intently looked into his.  “thank you, kind sir. May I be graced by the name of my savior? “, Her voice was just as angelic as her appearance, making his ears turn red as the flush of Kiri’s cheeks continued to burn his face. Kirishima felt like a fish when he tried to speak, no words seemed to come out. A giggle arose from her as she watched him make a fool of himself, only to dig a deeper hole to his embarrassment. His eyebrow quirked in question for him, wondering what exactly was so funny to her. “Sorry, you just seem so cute when you’re flustered. Red really suits you”, Her voice sounded smaller, maybe a bit shy about telling him that. But his heart felt like it was going to burst at the seems. ‘Sh-she thinks I’m cute! Maybe… maybe this won’t be so bad. I can do this!’, Kirishima felt strong internally, there was no way he was going to back down anymore. This mission may go off the rails, but it’ll be smooth in the long run. “My name is Kirishima, but you can call me Red if you wish my lady”, He replied, his words finally coming out as the heat of his face dims. Even with no stutter. An achievement from what he believed he would behave after such a fiasco. Her smile grew bigger at his words, looking at him with big-eyed filled with admiration. Something he’d only dreamed of seeing mere seconds ago. “And might I add you look very beautiful this evening”, He went for the compliment, trying to win her heart with words, “Bet you even look more so every average day”. In her eyes, he could see the gorgeous smile reach up. Sure he already won her favor with the way she was looking at him, but he’d never assume such things. For all he knows, she could just want a distraction from the rest of the event. “Thank you, your too kind”, She bowed her head to him, a sign of respect but also to bashfully take away eye-contact for just a few moments. “No need, it’s my pleasure”, Kiri was on a roll, actually taking in what he learned over the course of a week before the mission.

His eyes glance to the side to see their surroundings. They were just standing there, the earlier crowd all puffy-checked with pouty lips as they stared at the woman who was talking with him alone. It seemed their time here was un-welcomed now, and he knew just the thing to move on with. “Would you care for a dance M’lady?”, He asked, offering his hand while bowing in respect. The woman before him giggled and nodded a quick yes before she places her gentle hand in his. Her skin was just as soft as he imagined, but nothing like those detailed marble statues that littered the hallways of the castle as decoration. No, she was warm. More than just an image or dream, but there right in front of him. And they were going to dance like the dancers waltzing so graceful. Though he questioned how he’d fair in dancing. After all, Kiri didn’t practice very well. But those thoughts were put aside as she seemed to take the lead. Her hand place his own on her waist and then placing one of her own on his shoulder. That beautiful smile was given to him as if a reassurance he was doing just fine. Then their feet moved so quietly, side to side in the paces. It seemed so much easier than he remembered. Kirishima could easily say he found a new teacher, for she was so kind as she secretly leads him this way and that across the polished marble floors. They even began to try twirls and spins, going in sync with the other dancers as they paraded the room alongside her and him.

Hours, minutes, seconds. Kirishima didn’t care for the time. The moment was now, dancing with this gorgeous beauty right before him. Making him forget what he was really here for. She made him enjoy something he felt so unnerved about for weeks, made him feel like it was the easiest thing in the world. Around them the people, even the dancers stopped waltzing and began to watch. It could have been Kiri’s imagination, but they were in the center of the ballroom, the center of attention. Yet, he still only saw her right in front of him. His confidence through the roof as a comforting warmth settled in his chest.

But things in motion always came to an end eventually. The music settled to a stop, which made their feet click to a stop as well. The woman pulled away to curtsy and he returned it with a bow. It was a thank you for a wonderful dance. At least, that’s what he remembered from the lessons. People clapped all around, somehow loving the show. Or maybe it was just seeing the graceful woman before him in her gorgeous gown. He was never sure, for the clapping died down. Letting the room grow quieter once more. Kirishima and the woman stand straight, going to come forward towards each other to speak once again. But the room seemed to shake, as the ballroom doors up at the top of the marble staircase slammed open. Wide eyes from every corner of the room stopped and turned their head. The king, stood tall and fierce. With his well-known features; bushy red beard, strong-build, and an angry scowl imprinted on his face. King Enji Todoroki the first. A scary man, not even his allies wish to mess with head-on. And yet, to Kirishima’s dismay, his mission was to do such that. However, he never expected to see the King at all. Maybe just the princes and princesses, but not the King himself. He only hoped he wouldn’t be called on by the King after all this woman he danced with seemed quite popular amongst the crowd. They must know who she is, but he could only guess. And he only guessed that she was part of a very wealthy family that had a decent relationship with the royal family. Oh, how wrong he was for assuming.

“(Y/N), Come along. You don’t have time for this rabble”, the King spoke, but his eyes were piercing deadly at Kirishima. Those blue blistering eyes burning his soul alive, making him pale and wish to hide under such an intense gaze. The woman, who he had been dancing with not to long ago step forward. Quietly she replied, “Yes, Father”. If it wasn’t for the confidence still coursing through his veins, Kiri would have passed out. He did not mean to fall in love with one of the princesses, nor fall in love at all. The mission clearly stated to collect information on the royal family, maybe have the wealthy families lower than said family gossip dreadfully about the recent policies being cast over the land like a dark shadow. Anything but mess with the royal family directly to ensure their efforts weren’t stopped.

(Y/N), the woman's name was, turned to glance back at Kirishima. Her eyes were sorrowful and broke his heart to pieces seeing her this way. She told him, “See you around, Red”, before she walked up the stairs to go down the hallway. Her Father, the King stayed behind to continue glaring at Kirishima before glancing around the ballroom and leaving. Once the doors closed silently, the room seems to awaken once more as if nothing had happened. However, Kiri could still feel the shadow the King cast across the room. Yet he didn’t think of it for more than a moment, instead; ‘She wishes to see me again?’. The objective has changed now, and he’d see it through till an end.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The summer breeze has passed and the leaves have begun to change. Fiery reds, oranges, and yellows gave life to the once green forests. Warmer drinks came to the cafe menus. Heavier jackets out of the closets. Fall was here.

Although it was much like any other year, you were rather excited this time. The change was noticed by your boyfriend, Shoto. He’d watch you cross days off the calendar with some kind of smile every day. Confusing him as to why you were so gleeful doing so. At first, he ignored it. Knowing whatever it was, it wasn’t here yet. But his curiosity got the better of him one day.

“Why are you crossing the days off with a smile?”, Shoto asked as you stood at the calendar, doing as you did every day for weeks now. You point to an upcoming day, a wide grin crossing your features. “The old fair I use to go to as a kid is coming up. I thought we’d go there to have a day to ourselves”, you explained to him happily. Quirking an eyebrow, he walked over to view the calendar. The day you had pointed to was one of the few days he had off of work. “How long have you been planning this?”, Shoto asked, somewhat surprised at how he didn’t ask sooner. “A few weeks now, just happen to see an advertisement announcing that it was coming to our area. Lucky too, That’s our date day”, You replied cheerfully. Shoto’s rare happy smile graces his lips and he looks at you, “It’ll be surely a good time then”. This only excites you more and you could hardly wait to show him everything the fair had to offer.

The crowd was a bit off-putting for Shoto. So did the size of the fairgrounds. There were so many new things and it made him feel unsure. But with your soft hand clasp into his, guiding him with an excited smile on your face. He felt a little better. “Come on Shoto, we need to go get our wristbands! I think I know a few rides we could try out before it gets too dark”, You called over your shoulder at him, weaving the two of you through the crowd towards the ticket booth. He followed with no hesitation, curious of the source of your excitement. His heterochromia eyes glance at the rides you spoke of, knowing those awaited him soon. He couldn’t see what was exciting about it, not yet.

Your laughter bubbled from your throat like a melody to his ears. “Haha, Shoto your hair is all over the place”, You pointed out to him. Sure enough, his hair was swept up in a cow-lick of sorts, the white strands crossing over the red here and there. The wind that picked up with the speed of the last ride must have messed up his usually neat hair. Patting down the flying strands, light pink blush crossings his cheeks. Flustered slightly by your cheerful disposition today. Your laughter dimmed, but that happy smile never left your features. “So what did you think of that one?”, You asked Shoto, curious about his thoughts on everything. He has been a bit quiet, though the expression on his face told you he was still enjoying the time with you. “It was fast, exhilarating even. It’s much like fighting, but… for fun I guess?”, Shoto was unsure how to describe the feeling, but it gave his veins a dose of adrenaline much like he’d get when he was on call for hero work. “I suppose it’s like that. But remember, this is supposed to be a fun time for you to relax. Don’t need to overwork yourself”, You chided him lightly, only remember how much he worked as a top ranking hero. He’d come home exhausted, yet he’d make time for you. Even helping make dinner and do chores around the house before heading to bed, that is if he got home at a reasonable time. Heroes don’t get many breaks, so the little vacations he gets is when you take him out on date days and treat him well. Shoto looks at you with his small rare smile, “What shall we go do next?”. Squeezing his hand lightly, you smile knowingly, “you’ll see, now come on. I can see it from here”. You knew what you’d show him next. Show him what this place has to offer for him.

Glancing up at the colorful wheel was like staring at a medium-sized skyscraper, however not quite as tall. But still had a good amount of height.  from above, however, it looked way taller than Shoto imagined. He could see almost the whole fairgrounds from up there. Viewing the lanes of grass that the food stalls, games and rides made, full of various people. Couples, families… everyone was laughing and smiling. In the fall afternoon, the sun nearly setting. Painting the sky with cool and warm colors, a tranquil painting above. Trees dotted the surrounding area, millions of colorful leaves. It made the brilliantly colored fair pop in this countryside setting.

Shoto realized he had missed moments like this in his younger days. Missing it all was the norm for him then, but now it couldn’t be. He was with you, someone willing to give him these little moments. Not to mention he had great friends who’ve always taken a chance to hang out with him whenever they could. Glancing to you, he finds you were smiling softly as you were watching him. With eyes locked for a few seconds, sharing a silent moment. Then he leaned towards you, lips meeting one another. A gentle loving gesture with curves of lips that spoke of happiness.

He was the one to pull away to give you air, cheeks dusted a darker red than they were a few times today. All you could do was let the smile on your face grow as you watched his expressions. The silence is then broken by your voice, “You wanna try some of the food after this?”. “Yes, I’d very much like to”, Shoto replied, the rare smile gracing his lips now not leaving after a mere few seconds.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

You go to UA High, and it’s a lot harder than you realized. Passing tests, taking normal classes as well as hero classes, and not to mention it was a lot quieter than last year.
During lunchtime, you lay under the tree each lunch. Whether packed or given by the school, you always sat there.
You never really talked to anyone, or even invited a few friends that you made at the high school to your little spot under the tree.
But one day, in the Autumn time a purple haired boy around your age came and sat near you under the tree. You’ve seen him around but never had the chance to talk. He was quiet too, but you know his name was Shinso Hitoshi.
It was silent for a bit, but he was the first to speak. “You always come to sit here?”, he asked. You reply by nodding a yes, taking a bite of your lunch. It felt a little awkward, especially when he was really cute.
The breeze comes by and blows some of the leaves away, making it look beautiful around you. “I can see why you come here. Must be really quiet and beautiful all year around”, He makes conversation.
“Well, not the winter. It’s too cold to sit out here”, You smiled. “Oh, yeah. Nearly forgot about that. Must have been more tired than I realized”, He chuckled.
The two of you make more conversation, feeling like it was much easier to find things to talk about.
“What’s your favorite animal?”, you asked him, just out of curiosity. And he replied, “cats”.
It was adorable, just thinking about him being with a cat. Maybe laid in bed, all curled up on an autumn/winter day. They were definitely meant for him, maybe his spirit animal even.
“What you thinking about over there?”, he was teasing, the tone of voice changing from his normally tired voice to something more lively.
You look over to see him looking at you, all attention on you. Your face goes ablaze, embarrassed that you might have to actually tell him. Though, the temptation to lie to not sound too forward.
“O-oh! Uuuuuhhhhh…”, Your eyes glance left to right as if trying to find the answer. He chuckled at your expression, all flustered and red.
“You don’t have to answer, I was only teasing. Though, you looked like you had something nice on your mind”, his tone was calming, his fun has lived for a precious moment.
Were you making a face? A little pink blush pulling through your defenses?
“Why do you think that?”, you questioned, wondering about yourself more than anything. “Lucky guess maybe?”, He laughed, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
He had watched you more closely than he realized. It made him feel like he was a stalker or something, just knowing something like that about someone he barely talked to yet liked.
Was the crush too obvious? You were well mannered and shy. He was a bit of a mischievous weasel and didn't have the guts to talk to you until today. So, why would you like him when you probably didn't notice him in class at all.
“I was thinking You'd look cute taking a nap next to a cat”, You replied, surprising him. Even making him a little flustered with a light tint of pink on his cheeks.
“I… I actually have a cat. When I get home that's usually the first place you'll find me”, His voice was soft this time, sheepishly smiling as he looked away.
Trying to hide that cute blush? From you? No way you'd let that happen. You wanted to relish in the sight.
You place your hand on the cheek facing opposite from you, turning his head.
Oh gosh! His face is turning redder from your gentle touch.
He could feel the goosebumps on his arms and the heat of his cheeks and tips of his ears. The flutter of his heart makes him wonder if he's going to pass out.
“You’re…. Really cute”, You spoke bashfully, but you felt like you were talking in your dreams. This was a daydream, you swore it with how the leaves blew gently in the cool breeze.
His mouth opens as a soft gasp leaves him. All he could feel was the hot redness all over his face, making him want to hide in embarrassment.
To think he was all chill when he sat down next to his crush, then end up a red mess next to her with her hand on his cheek. Even telling him he's cute.
Taking up his breathing, he conquers up himself and replies, “You’re beautiful”.
And you thought the blossoms only bloom during the spring.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Since you were young, you were so careful to not give away your true self. Moving place to place constantly, never staying for too long in fear of the people you have encountered. Anyone could be a hunter or have access to hiring one.

Hunters were, in your eyes, born to kill the supernatural. Born from the fear of mundane humans who believe magic and strange creatures beyond their understanding were completely dangerous. If you could, you would teach them the truth. Werewolves were half-human, basically a mixture of dogs and wolves. They loved pets and scritches behind the ear, especially being told they were good. You just had to respect them and their territory. No threatening objects or movements. Much like an unknown dog. And Vampires? Well, they don’t normally suck to kill. Their hierarchy rules consider that crime, as it shows a vampire’s lack of self-control. They can be rather snooty the further up the pyramid you go, however, the newer generations can be fun party animals.

Sadly, as a witch, you were outcasted the most. Humans believed your kind were breeders/summoners of the unnatural. And to those in religious beliefs; witches were the highest followers of the devil. Which was highly untrue! Witches can heal and bring about peace as much as they can destroy and decay. It’s a choice of morals, and you very much believed in the good side of your abilities.

You’ve stopped at a quiet village. A little big for your scene, but ordinary enough to not cause alarm among the riled bunch. Suspicion was not on your to-do list this month.

The inn gladly housed you with the coin you provided. Nothing spectacular, as it was on the edge of town towards the farming district. A place that was more in need of coins and they had a fresh farmers market just little ways down the cobblestone path.

Second night into the weeks-long stop, and you start hearing whispers from the tavern folk after a long workday. You quietly questioned the waitress when she brought your food and drink to the little table you’ve been sitting at for a little while.

“What’s everyone fussing about? I thought much didn’t happen around here”, You asked, curiously to the waitress in a hushed tone. “Well, there’s talk of a Supernatural Hunter coming into town. He’s the youngest son of the great hero Enji Todoroki. The one who burned down a whole base of witchcraft many years ago”, The waitress explained a familiar story to you, “I believe his name is Shoto...strange boy really; doesn’t take after his father well, not by nature at least. He would have been a better knight perhaps”. You had to gulp down a grimace as she dawdled on while you were down memory lane.

The man, Enji Todoroki was a vile man. You didn’t know him personally, but you sure would never with the knowledge even before the village incident. You could never forget his name and face a long time ago, back when you were just a little one. Barely your sixth birthday, and he comes in as an outsider. Causing a fuss with the adults who didn’t dare allow the children near. Teens were hidden away too. And not an hour later, the roaring fires and smoke consumed the village you once called home. No magic or well could put the blaze out. Naturally, the people ran from their homes with their familiars and families. Children crying out into the night about their comfortable beds and lost belongings. Unknowing of why this was happening, especially why to them. You were of the many children with tear-streaked faces. However… the only escape route was a trap set by the hunter. Somehow he knew… used it to his advantage to push them back into the flames or strike down with his silver weapons. Your parents were fast, sacrificing their souls to save yours. They sent you away, to run the opposite direction with a loving charm of protection and a kiss goodbye. Before facing the hunter to buy the time you needed. It was a massacre… blood and ash seeped deep into the soil and poisoned it. To the point of mother nature no longer blessing the land, letting even the persistent grass die. You were barely lucky to survive and you scarcely remember, as it was a blinding light of swirling colors before everything was all black like the space between the stars, planets, and moon.

“What tales involve this, Shoto Todoroki boy? I’ve never heard of him before”, You questioned the waitress, putting up the traveler facade. You were a bit curious, as she mentioned he doesn’t take after his father, which is pretty odd around these times. The waitress smiles a little, “You should go ask the man at the bar. He’s got all kinds of stories about supernatural related things, I’m afraid I can’t talk too long”. Then she walks off after she points to a man in dark clothing and messy dark hair. You hadn’t noticed him really until now, but the questioned would have to wait till later. Your food was growing cold.

Just as you were finishing your meal and handing off the dishes to the waitress, you spot the man standing up from the bar. Turning to head up the stairwell, all while not facing you. You had to hurry a little, so you didn’t lose him as you had to know your enemy that was arriving sometime tomorrow.

Leaving the tip in a mess of coins, you stride up the stairs. Not even a minute behind him, getting out of view of the tavern part of the inn.

You call out to him, “Excuse me, the waitress said you had stories about the guy who’s coming tomorrow”. The man doesn’t turn to look at you as he speaks, “I’m sorry, but I’ve told my stories for tonight”. And he continues walking. You follow him.  Your voice getting dangerously low, whispering, “Please, I need to know”. He stops just as he reaches out for the doorknob of his room, turning his head ever so slightly. You could see a deep aqua eye, narrowing your way. As well as the scars… the dark scars of burns on his face. “Why do you need to know?”, He questioned, tone darker their your own. You were a bit taken aback by the scars, but furthermore by the attitude, “He may prove a threat to me, I’ve had bad run-ins with Hunters like him… they haven’t cared about the collateral damage as far as I’m aware”. He looks you up and down as if reading your true identity like a book. “Okay, come on in. It’s a long story”, He replied, opening his room door and inviting you in.

Hesitantly you accept, but as he speaks he made it clear that he knew of your abilities and had no intention of hurting you. Relaxing you as you listen and ask questions through most of the night till early morning.

You had barely gotten any sleep, having talked all night with the man who was named “Dabi”. But you assumed it was not his real name, as he mentioned he had ran away from his home after discovering his powers. He wasn’t a witch, but he was outcasted as such for his chaotic sorcery center. Which you understood, people were skeptical of magic in general. Destructive powers were one of the most outcasted of the types, like people could ever control their center of magic without going through centuries of teaching.

Both of you parted ways with just that, seeing as you had a life of moving around and he had found a place in this part of the world. You were packing right when you awoke, trying to speed it up. Your heart quickens at the idea of Shoto Todoroki arriving before you could start heading out crossed your mind. It was making your hands shake nervously, making your folding and stuffing messy. Eventually, things were not fitting as you were frustratingly just putting things wherever. You had to force a deep breath and squeezing your eyes shut. Clearing your mind by only thinking about breathing. When you open your eyes, thinks become a bit clearer. And you start packing all over again. Taking things out, before putting them back in the right way. The way you should have been doing it.

With everything packed, you go down to the tavern to grab a quick breakfast pastry, before paying for the stay you’ve done so far. Then heading out, only to meet crowds of people in the street. Lining along the road, giving a clear path for a horse with a boy slowly rides by. From the crowd, you could peek through to see his face… the Hunter… with heterochromia eyes and split colored hair, it was clear his mother was a magic-user or something. He had that calculating, cold look, often holy clerics would carve into their features. And his hair was odd for someone who wasn’t of magic blood. As soon as you were staring, he caught your glance. Staring right into your eyes in the sea of the people around you. His eyes looked right at you subtly as he rode by before he couldn’t. The entire time he did, you felt your heart go a million miles per hour but your feet were planted solid where you were. Your mind screams for you to run and not look back, not an ounce of fight within you.

As soon as the Hunter was around the corner, the crowd began to disperse into groups. Chattering in whispers about the man, and you listen as you walk past them. Trying to slink away with an idea of what they all thought of the Hunter’s appearance.

“Heard he was here for business”, One woman whispered. “No, no. There ain’t no business here for hunters like him”, A man replied. “Must be traveling through…”, you hear from another group. “Or there’s a quiet rumor of something coming this way”, Someone of that group replies, a little too chipper. “Wouldn’t we be told that?”, they questioned their odd friend.

There was so much chatter. So many unanswered questions, not even you knew the answer to most of them. But you sure didn’t want to find out.

Traveling down smaller roads, keeping away from the main road the Hunter was riding down, you stop at the little stalls for last-minute supplies. There was this rather cheap food stall that caught your eye. You just had to spend time bargaining for the food that could easily last you a week of traveling down the road. But the time wasted away from escaping the town causes your plans to falter for the worse.

Just as you turn away from the stall, you stumble into someone who was standing right beside you. You had to stumble back on your feet in shock, rambling apologies that go quiet when you see the face of the person. It was
him
… the Hunter. And he was looking right at you with that cold stare, just like earlier.

There was silence for a minute or so before you go to step around him with a whispering apology. He stops you, stepping in your way. You're a bit taken back by the sudden action, your tone filling with a hint of anger, “Excuse me, Sir. I have places to be”. He just looks right into your eyes, unwavering expression before he finally speaks, “I have a few questions about this area. You may be a traveler, but you may have seen some unordinary during your stay”. You had to hold back a scoff and a roll of your eyes. “Hardly unlikely, this place is pretty average”, You stated with gritted teeth, “The only thing out of the ordinary is the fuss over your arrival. Now, if you excuse me, I’d rather not be a part of whatever scheme you got going on”. You push around him, knocking your shoulder right into his to force him to stumble back. Something you wouldn’t normally do, but he had been rather rude.

You then walk away just like that and he didn’t call you back. But you sure felt the heat of a scolding glare at the back of your head. Your feet subtly forced a faster walking speed, trying to get around a corner to get away from his eyesight.

You breathed out a sigh, there were many buildings parting you from the Hunter now. And you were almost to the edge of the village. You just had to get on the main road and follow the opposite direction you had first come from.

The crowd of people on the main road made it easy to blend in with all the other travelers leaving, coming, and staying. Your heart resting to a steady beat, no longer feeling the danger breathing down your neck. And not even minutes past before you start nearing the edge of the village, spotting a familiar face tending to a spooked horse at the main stables. “Hey!”, you call to Dabi as you walk closer. He looks at you with a deadpan look, not a hint of surprise of seeing you again, “You're still here?”. You nod sheepishly, “Yeah, I had to grab some last-minute supplies and got in crowds”. “Yeah… summer’s the busiest time for travelers to stop by”, he replied, looking back to the horse who had somewhat calmed down now. “Yeah… um… thanks for the information. Maybe I’ll see you next year? I’ll probably stop by here again if things go alright”, You nervously tell him, secretly wanting to help him learn more about his magic. He shakes his head no, “Probably not, once this guy leaves I’m out. I can’t risk what follows him around”. You were a bit confused until you remembered the Hunter… he was worried about the Hunter too. “Why not come with me?”, You asked. “Sorry, kid. I go alone out there”, Dabi replies, giving you a slight smile, “ I have a feeling that Hunter isn’t after you…”. There was a silent pause and you mentally say for him, ‘he’s after me’. “Right, right… just wondering. Well… thanks for everything. Hope traveling does you well”, You say your goodbye with a chipper tone, starting to turn away.

“Wait!”, Dabi calls, “Do you want a ride?”. You stop and turn to him again, raising a brow, “A ride…?”. He points to the horse with a bit of a smirk, “She’s all saddled and ready to go”. “Uh… is it someone else’s horse?”, You questioned, a bit confused. “Nah, was mine. Now yours”, He hands you the reins kindly. You smile brightly, “You're too kind, but I couldn’t possibly take your horse. You may need it in your travels”. “I insist”, He pushes the reins into your hands, not letting you give up this gift. “Oh...okay, if you insist”, You mumble awkwardly, looking at the reins in your hands. It felt strange to hold them… the material was abnormally cool, but rough in your hands. “Go on, hop on”, Dabi tells you, encouraging you. You nod numbly, obeying as you step up into the saddle. Getting comfortable, as you were not used to the feeling of riding a horse. This was normally a treat when you had a long distance to go and had enough coin. You look to Dabi with a soft smile, “Thank you so much. I hope we see each other again”. “Not too soon of course”, Dabi chided teasingly. You giggle and nod, “Of course. Well… off I go…”. “Get a move on already, don’t waste the precious daylight”, Dabi patted the horse’s buttocks to get it going to a trot, then calling after you, “Oh! And don’t get caught by the guards!”. “Wait… what?”, You questioned, confused as you faced forward to steer the steed who was heading closer and closer to the exit of the town.

People’s heads seemed to turn to you for some odd reason until it finally dawned on your brain. Dabi’s smile and friendly out-look had blinded you, getting you probably in some serious trouble. You should have known that sly fox was no good! Especially when he was handing over a pure white horse with a luxurious braided main and adorn in a hardy saddle for long-distance riding. You were riding away with the Hunter’s horse! You remembered it when he was riding by, but in Dabi’s care it looked like any other horse. “Trickster! You want him off your tail”, You grumble as you continue to ride, spurring the horse on to a canter. It was best to flow through the motions before people rose suspicious and altered the few guards that were stationed at the town.

Just as you pass the town’s official edge, you begin to hear distance shouting from the town. You slow the horse to glance behind, seeing if anyone was following. The guards were running towards the shouting people who may have finally noticed you or actually cared. But you grow worried. As a figure rushes to hop on an unsaddled horse, beginning to head your way at an alarming gallop. You spur the horse on, turning your head back to the path before you. Spotting the forest up ahead, seeing as it was the perfect cover.

You had no time to turn to look who was following you, nor did you really care. Other than they were gaining on you fast. In a pinch, your heart begins to race in fear. Nonsense worry fills your thoughts as you continue to spur and encourage verbally to the horse to go faster. But somehow, the horse only remains at a slow-barely galloping speed. You barely break the tree-line of the forest before the figure on horseback had caught up to you. Slowing to your side to grab the reins with warm, chilling fingers. Pulling to slow the horse you rode as they slow down theirs, getting both to a slow walk alongside each other.

You didn’t want to look at the person who had caught you. You were scared they’d take you to the guards...or worse, the Hunter! They didn’t speak for what felt forever. “I didn’t suspect you for a horse thief”, a cold, familiar tone stated. You immediately froze, spine straightening as if a knife was poked into your back. Turning your head slowly, you face the Hunter with his glaring eyes boring into yours. You gulp, barely silent as you reply, “The stable boy told me it was for rent”. Half a lie really, as you had known before it was too late. Dabi knew what he was doing however… might even have tried those neat mind-trick spells if he even knew how to cast those without your knowledge.

“Oh? And why would someone like him do that?”, The Hunter questioned with a raised brow. His face said;

“I call bullshit”

. Which is half right… never fully right. “Why don’t we ask him ourselves then?”, You replied bitterly, giving him an annoyed glare. You didn’t have time for this but you also didn’t want to draw his attention to your true nature out of fear.

“I take your word… this place is an average place, attracts settling criminals”, He states, “Wouldn’t be surprised half of the town has an old history and record in crime”. You bite your lip, looking away as you could feel the hot breath of the enemy starting to breathe down your neck. This was the point where you could use what Dabi told you about this guy. You remember clearly that Shoto, the Hunter, had a history in magic-use but no one really believed it. It was just a rumor, but something you could 100% believe with that hair and eyes. And you understood that Enji Todoroki, the hero and destroyer of witches, hated magic with a passion. Surely his father was a soft spot that could give you an opportunity to escape.

“If you believe that, shouldn’t you put them all on trial or something? Or does it mean this place could be cursed?”, You questioned him, playing like an unknowing human. You knew there were curses that could make someone do something they wouldn’t normally do, but you could feel this place was peaceful and far from cursed. “I don’t trifle in human-affairs”, He replied shortly, guiding your horse and his back towards the town. “Aren’t mages and witches human though?”, You asked, personally a bit curious. “As far as I’m aware, yes. But they are easy to spot”, He glances back to you with that cold stare you first encountered, “Fear really opens someone like a book”. You gulp, a cold shiver trickling down your spin, “Y-you think I’m a witch??”. He looks at you silently for a moment before turning his head away as he replied, “Yes, but you have no malice. You're more of a healer”.

You wanted to shout;

“WHAT?!?!”

. But you only choke on words and stutter out questions that were barely even words. You took a moment to think before talking for real, “Then why haven’t you rallied the village? Burn me at the stake? Drown me? All those things Hunters do to the suspicious individuals?”. He turns his head to glare a heated look, hell-fire in his gaze and venom laced in his words, “I’m not like
him
”. Things began to fall apart now. Everything you knew about Hunters falls out of place with this one. You knew them for their violence against the mystical arts of magic and mystical creatures that were just as natural as average humans. But he refused to kill you, an action his father would easily have done so without hesitation. And surely Shoto was trained by his father… right? That’s what Hunters do, right? Not to mention his mother was a cleric of pure holy good!

“Stop thinking about it, you're still not in the right”, He shakes you from your tumbling train of thoughts. “But you won’t tell them this detail?”, You asked, voice softer. “Unless you want me to”, He casually stated like it was nothing. Your stomach flip-flopped, no longer churning with your racing, fear-stricken heart. “Please don’t… I’d really like to keep the peace”, You replied quickly, no hesitation. You swear you could see a corner of his lips uplift into what could be a smirk. “Alright, let’s go then”, He states before turning the horses the opposite direction of the town. You squeak out of shock, thinking he was pulling them to trot faster. But all expectations flopped and you ended up smiling widely with a sparkle in your eyes. This was the beginning of something entirely new…

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Did this for the blog background but also for people to use for personal use, feel free to do so (if it's for a social account please ask and credit, and don't remove signature!). The post has the individual pictures of the cats and my new profile picture look-see. Post also has some important news I can't discuss here due to AO3 policies. Anyways! What I can say here is; what I'm working on/finishing! I'm half done with Cherry and Anon's requests that I ended up mixing up into a 2-in-1 headcanon/one-shot for the NSFW book. Really giddy to get that out in the next few days (at least hoping it's a few days). I'm in a creative mood tonight, and I'm having coffee tonight so you might see that new chapter posted at like 5am EST. I've been sleeping way too much, so this is perfect!!!Enjoy my lovely people!

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

To say the least… you were ashamed of it. There was no hiding the feeling every time you looked yourself in the mirror without the covering of

something

. Whether it would be make-up, a scarf, a turtle neck, anything! Just something to cover a reminder of the past. A past that rose shame, guilt, and bits of anger and sadness; all the negative emotions you could name.

You cover so you don’t feel distracted. You cover because you don’t like people seeing, looking, pointing… for the feeling of shame entered your mind. Even if it shouldn’t. As it wasn’t your fault, never in million years it was your fault. But something in your mind screamed

it was

, and no one, even you couldn’t get it out of your head.

You were finishing up changing out of the sweaty U.A. gym uniform, wearing a tank top and thin shorts underneath. At first, you thought you were alone in your corner of the locker room as you comfortably took off the scarf for just a moment. You were getting your regular uniform out; unfolding and pulling on the pants.

Someone walked up, going to their locker that was a few lockers from your own. They didn’t say anything and you haven’t noticed them as you were slipping everything back on. But, whoever they were must have taken a small glance at your slightly bent form. The side of your neck, where your shameful scar was bright and sore, was on view from that angle. All you hear is a small gasp from the girl before the come up and get your attention. You were a bit taken back by them greeting you, just as you were adjusting the top layer of your uniform. But soon, your expression turns sour when they asked;

“where did you get that scar? Looks really sore…”

.

You quickly grab your scarf without a word, cheeks flushing red with embarrassment. Closing your locker with a slam you mumble something barely audible before rushing out of the locker room. Everyone’s eyes felt like they burning into you, watching you pass them as you exit to the high school’s hallways. But no one could catch you as you, even if they saw the upset expression whipping by.

There was a hallway no one seemed to walk down, which was a spot you hid from everyone during moments like these. Where you could let out all your uncontrollable emotions in one go, without withholding them. No one could see your tears or red cheeks. No one could your soft sobs and sniffling.

Not a soul traveled around this empty, barren hallway. There were no doors down here, making it needless to travel down during class sessions. Almost needless…

You didn’t expect a presence to shift around the corner slowly, walking up calmly to lean against the wall next to you. Not saying a word. Not looking at you… you couldn’t feel their eyes. But you felt the warmth of their left side, making you look up curiously at them.

Shoto Todoroki, a classmate and close friend was standing there calmly beside you. He met your eyes for a second before looking straight ahead. Almost nervous to do or say something wrong. He barely could speak what he wanted to say; “Would you like to talk?”.

You blink at him for a moment, trying to register how he got here and why he came to see you. But you knew… you knew he cared deep down that icy exterior. Whipping at your eyes, which didn’t make much difference, you nod slightly.

The two of you talked, mostly you. Telling him a little bit about what happened, nothing detailed or too personal. You were still not comfortable talking about the past out loud yet, but this year was getting better. But Todoroki was okay with the vagueness and didn’t press too much, nodding as he listened.

He looks to you softly, his slight smile appearing on his lips, “I may not know why, but I want you to know that it’s okay to feel. It’s okay to hide and feel ashamed… it’s part of the healing process. But know, alongside that you should have someone to talk to. Bottling all these emotions alone can make you lose more than you want to”. You find some wisdom in his words, smiling softly as you hug him gently. Crying for a little longer while he rubbed your back gently, helping you relax without talking much anymore.

When every tear was shed and they began to dry, the two of you talked quietly. Not about what happened, but about meaningless things. Little things, like; classmates, class events, training, friends. The good things you could talk about with him, while entirely missing the rest of the school day.

You barely noticed the last bell chiming as you sat in the empty hallway with him, faint smiles on both your faces. He shifts, parting from you as he stands up. Then giving you a helping hand to stand too. You take his hand, getting up from the tiles feeling a bit cramped from sitting for so long. “Wanna go get some dinner? We could get ice cream after”, Todoroki asked you. You smile a bit brighter, nodding your head a definite yes. He takes your hand in his, walking out of the school. Both of you avoiding everyone else,

especially

the teachers. Taking the rest of the day to relax, with only you two.
