Jeon Jungkook was a good person. Yes, he was deathly shy and enjoyed his own company a little too much, but he was a very good individual. That is why he can't quite understand the motive of the person who is throwing glitter at his children. Well. His children are plants. But still, it had taken him a while to fully understand how to properly garden, how to ensure the best conditions for each precious, leafy, green plant to prosper. So- he wonders why he has been disrespected in this way. What has provoked someone to not go after him, but to hurt his babies. To be fair, he doesn't know for sure that the glitter is harming them. He just wants to know why he has been targeted. "I'm serious hyung, I don't know what I've done." Jungkook was stressed, all morning he had been thinking of all the people he knew and if any had a reason to hold a grudge against him. "I can't think of anything!"Curse Kim Seokjin and his stupid laugh. "Gukkie, relax. It isn't harming your stupid plants-"Letting out a screech Jungkook butted in, "They are not stupid!""..Sure. Anyway, if it isn't harming anyone or anything then what's the issue?""The principle of the issue! What have I done? Have I accidentally done something?" His mind was racing, he didn't get it. "If I've upset someone enough that they feel the need to go after my plants, then I would like to know what I've done to them.""Maybe some kid had a crush on you and is mad you don't like them back." That was his roommate and close friend, Hoseok. "What about Mina? Isn't she like 13? Maybe she found out you were gay and thinks throwing glitter at your plants is retribution." Jungkook tilted his head, he knew that little Mina had a crush on him and he understood. He was an older, attractive man and that appealed to her. "Hm, maybe. But how is she getting into my garden? It isn't like it's easy." That was true, their garden was closed off with a large fence and there was a large wall on the opposite side."That's a good point. I doubt our neighbors are letting her go through their gardens." Namjoon said as he made himself a cup of tea. "But if it isn't her, then who? I mean, it's completely harmless- if we don't count your mental stability, but because you're like, losing your mind then maybe you should try and figure out who it is.""Don't you think I have? I honestly can't think of anybody who would want to spite me so bad." He huffed, taking Namjoon's freshly made tea from his hands, "Thank you.""That was for me, you dick." But the sound of the kettle boiling and the slight smile Namjoon was hiding showed he wasn't that upset.Seokjin rolled his eyes, "Why don't you just set up a camera or something?"Hoseok beamed, "That's a good idea!""Or! How about I stay up and wait for them, this has been going on for over a week now, it's personal."The smile on Hoseok's face dropped, "That's not a good idea.""Why not? I don't have a camera to set up and this way I can confront them! It's perfect!"Seokjin started choking on his drink, "You? Shy little Jeon Jungkook? Confronting someone?""I could! I don't want to keep brushing glitter off of them. I feel like it hurts their leaves.""So why don't you just leaf it on?" Seokjin slowly began to grin as he said his pun, cackling afterwards. "Get it? Leaf? Because they're plants?"Namjoon rubbed his temples, "I knew he'd make a joke." He took a sip of his new cup of tea, "But he has a point, how do you know the glitter is even harming them? Just leave it alone.""No Namjoonie! He needs to get to the root of the problem." Seokjin began screeching with laughter again, head thrown back as he clapped ridiculously. Hoseok couldn't hold himself back as his body shook with laughter. "Guys!" Jungkook stomped his foot petulantly, the two laughing boys stopped to observe him, "I've already decided, I'm gonna stay up and wait. Chances are it's Mina or just some of the kids playing a prank. I'll just tell them to leave my babies and I alone.""Well, good luck then." Namjoon raised his glass in a toast, "Let's wait for Jungkook's panicked texting."Huh? Hoseokie will be here with me.""Um.." The aforementioned boy trailed off, "Actually, I'm going to Joonie's tonight." He blushed.Seokjin looked between them before gasping, "You two?"Jungkook tilted his head confused, "I don't get it but, so.. I have to do this alone?" He shook his head, "No, no it's fine. I can do it.""Nobody even replied to you.""No, don't worry about me, I'm strong.""What the-""Seriously guys, I'm fine." "And I thought I was the dramatic one," Seokjin rolled his eyes, "Anyway, I'll stay with you if you'd like. I have nothing better to do."Grinning, Jungkook said, "I always knew you were my favourite." This cause the other two boys to let out their own exclamations of displeasure. "Shut up you two, now, I'm gonna shower and make sure I'm awake enough for tonight."When Jungkook turned on his heel and stomped up the stairs Namjoon turned to Seokjin, "Are we gonna tell him or..?""Nope. But I wanna be here when he realises."Hoseok pouted, "I wish I could, but Joonie just had to-""It was your idea to watch all the Twilight films tonight!" "One, Twilight as a franchise offends me deeply, and two, I can't believe you've been dating for months and nobody noticed." Seokjin mumbled, "Well, by everyone I mean Guk."Namjoon laughed in response, Jungkook was known for not being very observant, "Well, he's been having a certain.. visitor in his garden and he hasn't realised.""Do we know who?" Hoseok raised a brow, they knew who or- what, was in Jungkook's garden at night. "Doesn't seem like any that I know of."Seokjin shook his head, "I'm not sure, I thought it might have been Yoongi but it's not like him to try and-""I know who it is." Namjoon stated, "But I'm not telling. As soon as Guk said what was going on.." He trailed off as if he was recalling something."Curse your big, wizard brain." Hoseok pouted again, "I wish I was like you."The vampire in the room giggled, "Aw, little Hoseokie. Do you not like being a stupid, smelly, over-sized dog?" It wasn't true, Hoseok loved being a werewolf. Hoseok only had one human friend and that was Jungkook. But he had no idea of the supernatural world. Hoseok however, had known Seokjin his whole life. The vampire had saved his life when a rogue had attacked him. As Hoseok grew older, he met Namjoon who had been friends with Seokjin for a while, helping him in the ways only a wizard could. When they had all met Jungkook, younger than all of them and extremely shy when Hoseok had decided he needed a new roommate, they had all wondered how to hide certain aspects from the boy.It helped that Jeon Jungkook was not a very observant person. He didn't seem to notice that Seokjin spoke as if he had been around for centuries- eloquent and well informed. Which, Seokjin had been around for that long, but the boy didn't need to know that. He also never noticed how Namjoon seemed to know things that he shouldn't. Such as understanding the weather forecast long before it had been announced on the news, or knowing when Jungkook's phone was about to ring. He never questioned how smart the boy was either, just assuming it was due to a high IQ.Hoseok never understood how he was so uninformed, he had no idea of supernatural beings. He hadn't even noticed one night when a rogue werewolf had followed him home and Hoseok had to go and hunt the other wolf down to protect his best friend. It confused him and their other friends greatly, but they just thought it was probably better for him to be so uninformed."Shut up, hyung. You sparkle in sunlight.""No I fucking don't Jung Hoseok!" He had screeched, Seokjin had meant it when he said that Twilight deeply offended him. "That is stereo-typing and it is, quite frankly, rude.""I don't cry over a stupid film like you do, I am very comfortable in my skin- both human and otherwise."Seokjin hissed, "I do not sparkle, or almost have an orgasm when I smell blood- nor do I start to crack like a fucking marble statue when someone pulls at my head."Namjoon tilted his head, "For someone who hates it so much, you seem to know a lot about it.""Don't you start Kim Namjoon!" Hours later, Jungkook was showered and had taken a short nap to ensure he was well rested for the night's events. If he was going to catch the wretched children throwing glitter at his plants, he needed to be prepared. He had borrowed a large torch from Namjoon and was sat in his kitchen, watching quietly for any movement. Seokjin was in the living room eating. He was only there for support and maybe back up if one of the kids decided to attack his shins."Guk? You still awake?" His hyung called from the sofa. "Not that I care but, you said I gotta make sure you don't fall asleep."And- "Shut up hyung! I don't want them to hear you!""Is anyone even there?""Shh!" No. The answer was no. But he was not ready to admit defeat yet. He was going to camp out all night if he had to. After another hour had passed of no activity, Jungkook sighed, he had been scrolling through his phone, every so often he glanced outside to see nothing had changed. He was now set up against the kitchen door with a clear line of sight to his precious green friends. He wasn't easily visible to somebody outside however as he was in complete darkness. Unbeknownst to Jungkook, someone was fluttering around through the garden next to his. He laid his head back against the door with his eyes closed, he had no idea when the culprit usually came to commit their heinous crime. All Jungkook knew, was that he woke up everyday to soft glitter sprinkled around his garden. When Seokjin came and shook his shoulder, he wasn't sure how long he had been in his head, but he assumes it had only been ten minutes or so. Apparently, however, he had completely missed someone coming into his garden and throwing their stupid glitter everywhere. "You idiot! Did you see anything?" Seokjin's eyes flashed as he looked around the garden. He couldn't tell Jungkook, but he had heard the giggling and soft lilting tones of the being in the garden. Jungkook wouldn't have, but vampire hearing aided Seokjin in this endeavor. Seeing his much younger friend in a daze had him confused. "Did- Did you see anything?" He gulped, had Jungkook seen.. it?"No!" Jungkook's eyes widened as he stood shakily, "The glitter! They were here!" He was incredulous as he saw soft pink and silver glitter everywhere, his poor hydrangea seemed to have been the main victim. "Elizabeth!""Fucking- who is Elizabeth?""My hydrangea! Look at her, she's covered!"Seokjin looked at the large bushy plant and quirked a brow, he definitely knew what has been going into Jungkook's garden. He didn't know how Jungkook had yet to realise that the glitter was helping them. "She looks.. bright.""That's just the glitter, when I take it off they go back to normal." Jungkook huffed, using his torch to light up the garden. "My poor baby."Shaking his head Seokjin pulled Jungkook away from the plant, "Leave it, let's get you to bed. You missed the fa- person already." He cursed himself in his head, thankful yet again for Jungkook being clueless."I can't believe it. How did I not see them? Or hear them? How did they even do it?" He rambled off questions, head spinning. "How did I not hear them hyung? I was in my head for a bit but- I could have sworn I heard-"As Jungkook trailed off, Seokjin stopped dragging him up the stairs and looked at him, "Heard what?""I-" Jungkook frowned, "I was sure I heard a bell. Like a little hand-held bell. But when I looked around I couldn't see anything so I just thought I heard it in my head."Seokjin almost dropped to the floor. "You- a bell?" His eyes widened, he needed Namjoon for this, he needed the little witch or whatever to tell him who was the culprit. "Whatever, let's get you to bed.""Okay hyung." He sighed tiredly, this had all been exhausting and pointless. Why did he even bother? He should have just set up a camera. As he laid Jungkook down, Seokjin's mind was racing. He knew what kind of being this was already, it was some kind of Fae. But a bell was a significant sound of a specific being, a small, mischievous but kind-hearted being. Seokjin went back down stairs and opened the back door. He stood in the garden and looked at the glitter that seemed to shimmer even stronger as time passed. Seokjin coughed as he pulled out his phone, "It was here, Guk didn't see it but he said he heard a bell and then he went all.. dazed." "That's what I had expected." Namjoon spoke, of course he knew, what didn't he know? "Was he aware of the affect? Did you see it?""No. I heard it though. It was singing.""Hm," Namjoon seemed to be in thought. "Call Yoongi tomorrow. You know he likes to rest at these hours. But tomorrow, call him. Actually no," He stopped again, Seokjin felt the years drain away, talking to Namjoon when he was doing his stupid professional spiel was annoying. He liked to make decisions and then go back, his brain never able to focus for long before he had another thought- another spell to conjure. "Stop, why Yoongi? What's he got to do with this?" Why did they need the grouchy fairy involved? The last time he had spoken to Yoongi had been a few weeks ago, the short boy had slapped him for making fun of his ever-changing hair colour. But how could Seokjin stop himself? It was cotton candy pink. Sufficed to say, Yoongi had not been happy with him for his teasing.
Over-grown bat, shut your mouth.
Aww, my little winged friend, don't pout.
Shut up asshat.
"You know what it is don't you? You know what Yoongi is too. Don't you think you should talk to him?""But- why? Isn't it kind of, I don't know, racist? Or species-ist to assume all fairies know each other?""Considering they're the same, I think we should tell Yoongi hyung.""Huh?" Seokjin frowned, as far as he knew, there was only one fairy among them- Yoongi.Namjoon sighed tiredly, "Listen. We'll talk more tomorrow. But there's been a new development, something happened and someone very close to Yoongi came to him for help. Of course hyung then asked for my help and told me what happened. But this could be dangerous- talk to hyung. Don't tell Jungkook.""Why would I? Anyway, I don't get why you cant talk to him.""Because I'm with Seokie. And I already know everything," He hesitated, "Just talk to him, give it a day or so and then talk to him.""So- let me think about this." Seokjin paused momentarily, "You're telling me, someone- another fairy, is here, and that Yoongi knows but doesn't want to tell us?"Namjoon huffed in response, "This is tiring. Yes, Yoongi knows him, I know him too, but Yoongi and Jimin are trying to protect him so-"Seokjin's ears twitched, "Jimin? Who's Jimin?""He's also a fairy, Yoongi's lover.""Min Yoongi has a love interest?""I believe they're boyfriend's actually."Eyes wide Seokjin gaped, Min Yoongi was an interesting soul. Small and complicated yet easy going. He was fiercely protective over what was his and Seokjin had never known Yoongi to have those kinds of feelings. He knew Yoongi liked Namjoon, Hoseok, Jungkook and himself as friends, but to think of Yoongi loving someone- it was confusing. On top of that, to know Yoongi and 'Jimin', both cared for another enough to protect them, even from Seokjin? It was indeed an interesting new development."Well, I'm happy for him I guess. Hurts that he wouldn't tell me.""Don't hyung, it's bad. What happened was bad. You know how Yoongi is, he and Jimin are doing what's best for T- the other fairy."Seokjin was still lost, "But why?"Namjoon shuffled in the back ground, probably laying in bed and adjusting his position, he spoke, "All I'm going to tell you, is that both of them are very protective of this fairy, he's been through a lot and now that he's here he want's to make sure others don't get hurt.""Yoongi? Or the fairy?""The fairy. I love Guk, but the kid isn't great at gardening. I've known for a while his plants are struggling.""So, this fairy, is protecting the plants?""Exactly." He sighed, "Now, I'm going to bed, please don't make a fuss of anything, just-"Seokjin rolled his eyes- it was really painful talking to Namjoon, he was a worrier and repeated himself far too often. "Joonie, go to bed. I'm not gonna go to Guk and scream, 'Hey! There's a fairy in your garden who thinks you don't care for the plants well enough!' I'm not that stupid." Closing the back door, Seokjin set himself down onto the couch, "But I'm going to be very upset if Yoongi doesn't give me a good explination. I don't like when you children hide things from me.""Just 'cause you're almost three-hundred doesn't make us children. You're just a walking corpse."Seokjin gasped. "Offensive!" What Seokjin didn't know, was that during his confusion, his senses were clouded- not alerting him of the being hidden behind a fence close by- listening to every word. "TaeTae?" Jimin rushed towards the boy who had just climbed through the window, "Where were you? Hyung and I have been trying to call for you!"Giggling, Taehyung reached out to hug him, soft red hair dusted with glitter that rubbed off on Jimin's shoulder. "I've been helping the plants again, they're so kind."Taehyung was a very impulsive, bubbly person. Someone that encapsulates kindness and purity. He was like beam of light to Jimin, he was the person he could always rely on and he knew that Taehyung always had good intentions. However, the boy's ridiculous innocence was hard to handle- he would act without thinking and get himself into trouble by accident."Tae.." Jimin sighed, pinching him lightly and hearing the boy yelp softly, "I've told you, you can't keep disappearing to help the trees and other plants. I know you mean well but what if someone were to follow you? I can't lose you Tae."Frowning softly, Taehyung took his older fairy-friend's hand. "I'm sorry Minnie. But this one boy was waiting for me, he heard my bells and he fell asleep. I'm safe." Taehyung had a soft look in his eye as he spoke of the boy. Jimin knew he frequented one garden in particular. "The pretty boy?""So pretty Minnie. He has the kindest heart, those in his care talk so highly of him. He doesn't know what he's doing though, but he tries his best. They're amused by him.""He's human isn't he? We can't always trust humans."Taehyung looked sad, "I know. I'm sorry Jiminnie. Where's hyung?" Just as he asked the question, pale arms wrapped around him from behind making him squeak."You silly brat. Hyung almost had a heart attack. Stop running off without telling us, please." He begged softly, the genuine love and concern outshone his teasing in his first few words. "I was so worried.""I'm so sorry. But I had to! I could hear some of them crying, I hate when they cry."Yoongi ruffled Taehyung's hair. "You've always had such a strange bond with them, I don't know how. I've never been that in-tune with nature.""You're a terrible fairy, that's why." Jimin giggled, poking at his boyfriend's cheeks, "You're better with animals. And we all know that's 'cause you are one!""And what about you? Mr. I-induce-labor." Yoongi hissed, again, still in jest, they all had their own abilities and quirks. Taehyung was very close with forest life and nature in general, even extending to the animals such as birds, squirrels and insects. Yoongi was strictly at home with animal life, he wasn't able to have conversations with them- no, that was strictly an ability that Taehyung held. Jimin was odd, he was a being of fertility, couple's trying to conceive were blessed by just his presence."Ugh, shut up. That was one time. Please don't keep bringing it up." Jimin grumbled, a pout gracing his beautiful face. Ah- the misfortune of being a fairy capable of inducing labor and aiding fertility. A heavily pregnant woman had come too close to Jimin in a shopping centre and had abruptly called out that her water had broken. Yoongi's eyes had widened as he saw Jimin bright red in the face, hair changing from black to orange- signifying that yes, he had done that. The two had rushed out as she was being helped by other shoppers."I think it's funny, and sweet, you bring the gift of life to people Jimin! That's amazing." Of course Taehyung would say that."I don't make babies, I just, I help people make babies." Jimin said, swatting at Yoongi when he winked at him behind Taehyung's back. "Anyway Tae, let's go to sleep. We'll all cuddle together."At that, Taehyung cheered, each of them setting of to get blankets and pillows. The three fairies shared a large house together, each with their own room although there were many times Taehyung would crawl into bed with Jimin, or Jimin would go into his. Now that Yoongi and Jimin were together, they often shared a room with Tae sometimes climbing in to snuggle his brother or his best friend."This couch is so soft." Jimin moaned as he dropped down onto it. They had bought a large sofa, big enough for the three of them that could be arranged in a way that it worked as a bed. "C'mere Tae. I want my soulmate."Taehyung giggled, throwing himself into the smaller boys arms. Yoongi pouted from where he was adjusting the furniture, "I can't believe that I have a boyfriend and a brother that I am constantly third-wheeling to. How is that fair?""Cause I love Tae more than you, duh.""And Jimin is my favourite hyung."Yoongi's pout deepened, "You're both mean. I'm your eldest here, I deserve respect and also cuddles.""C'mon then you whiny little cat." Jimin huffed, moving closer to Tae so there was more room. "Come get your cuddles."The three fell asleep to the sound of their own laughter and the television playing an old movie. It was common for those of the same species to bond together- Taehyung and Jimin had been friends for years, the only two fairies in their class as children. Everyone else was human and their teacher had made sure to pair the two up together. They hadn't realised, but their teacher was an older witch, she was able to detect that the two were fairies and had paired them up. She had made sure they understood to never speak of their abilities to others and became best friends quickly. Then Taehyung had introduced Jimin to Yoongi, not noticing the crush they both had on each other.Taehyung and Yoongi were brothers, with Jimin tagging along as a friend of both of them. After a while, Jimin had confessed to Yoongi and the two had been love-struck ever since. In their world, supernatural being's existed and many people knew about them. Some- like a certain Jeon Jungkook- had no idea of these beings. As long as no harm is caused, the two live happily side by side, however, when rubbed the wrong way, just like tectonic plates they can cause many problems. The numbers of those who were not human was different depending on the species, witches and wizards were not common, neither were fairies or pixies. This is due to the need of nature as an element, and with modern world progressions, nature is being imprisoned so that wealth and greed can expand in the form of concrete and pollution. However, werewolves and vampires were common and many lived calm lives with humans. Some humans- hunters in fact, do not agree with the allowance of these 'creatures' to live among them and their precious children, and so they believe that they should be clipped, like a bad root. Yoongi kept few friends, Namjoon, his wolf boyfriend Hoseok, stupid old vampire and squeaky-laugh having Seokjin and finally ditzy human Jungkook were his only friends that were not fairies. He wasn't sure how Jungkook had managed to completely avoid any knowledge of those not human, but he had. He felt somewhat bad for not telling them of Jimin or Taehyung, but he had to make sure everything was settled.Something was coming, something was lurking in the shadows- and Yoongi would die before allowing any harm to come to those he loved.
