Two sweaty hands grasped each other as streets of smokey New York City was up and about. The bodies that connected to the two hands were walking at a regular pace together. The sound of the gravel underneath their boots was the only thing that the eldest body focused on. The other body, however, was very interested in the billboards and sounds that filled the heavily populated city.

“Can you get my phone out of my backpack, Tae?” The distracted one asked. The elder, Taehyung, nicknamed

Tae

, nodded. He pulled away from the clasped hand and unzipped his black, leather Gucci solo backpack that rested on his shoulders. He pulled out the phone and handed it to him. Jungkook, the phone’s owner, smiled softly and pressed the power button. He looked at the time.

4:30 p.m.

“We should eat soon, shouldn’t we?” Jungkook asked Taehyung.

“Probably,” Taehyung responded. “Where do you want to eat at?” Taehyung pulled out his wallet and looked at the remaining money he had.

“Actually, I know just where we should go,” Taehyung smiled. “Let’s go to that expensive and fancy French restaurant.”

Jungkook looked up from his phone and at his boyfriend. “We don’t have that kind of money, mister.”

“Sure we do. It’s my treat! Only for you, my love!” He exclaimed. The younger boy chuckled and nodded. “Alright.”

The two called a taxi and hopped in. The smell of smoke was especially prominent in taxis. They didn’t mind, though. They told them the name of the French restaurant and gave the driver the money necessary for the ride. Since it was getting colder in the Northern Hemisphere, it was starting to get dark during the earlier hours. The light sprinkle of snow on the road was perfect. The streetlights that lit up the city were aligned impeccably. The stars seemed to be connecting themselves in the sky. The car ride was short and sweet - traffic was light.

Slam.

The taxi door closed and the boys looked up at their destination. Candles and yellow-toned lights were the main light source. The dark, brownish brick walls had at least one mural on each of them. Some were of houses, some were of trees and lakes. The wall that was farthest away from the door had an arched window that let people from the outside look inside at the beautiful dressed up people and the set tables. On each table, there was a bouquet of roses accompanied with brown salt grinders and dark brown oak chairs. Every table had a white tablecloth on them. White, porcelain plates and tall glasses were practically waiting to have appetizers on them or be filled with ice water. Taehyung and Jungkook were in awe as they walked through the doors. A man at a podium greeted them.

“Welcome! Do you have a reservation?” He asked.

“No, we don’t. Are walk-ins okay?” Taehyung asked.

“Yes, of course, sir. Follow me.” He grabbed two menus along with him. They were brought to a table for two that had folded into pyramids. The waiter put down the menus and let them pick out what they’d like to eat. Everything felt surreal. A charming dream for just the two of them.

They ate their foods and deserts until their stomachs felt as if they were going to explode. The food was absolutely excellent.

“Glad I took you here?” Taehyung smirked. Jungkook nodded and rolled his eyes playfully.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you…”

“I need to compliment the manager for the outstanding service. I haven’t eaten this well in ages!” Taehyung exclaimed loudly and put his hand up in the air.

“Tae, please,” Jungkook whispered, trying to put his hand down. “You’re the loudest person in here.”

“Excuse me, sir! Where is your manager?” Taehyung asked the waiter.

“I will get him to you promptly.” The waiter walked into the back room that had ‘

’ engraved into the fine wood door. He was in there for a while, until he brought out a slightly shorter man with blonde hair that lightly covered his eyebrows. His eyes were stunning. His lips were plump and his jawline was precise.

“Hello, gentlemen! Park Jimin,” Jimin introduced himself. “And I see that you have met Bentley, my assistant, and best waiter.” Both Jimin and Bentley held out his their hands to shake both Jungkook and Taehyung’s hands.

“Hello! I’m Taehyung, and this is Jungkook. We loved the service here and we loved the food. We hope to come here again in the future.” Taehyung said, shaking Jimin’s hand.

“Ah, how lovely! Thank you, both of you, for coming. What’s the occasion?” He smiled.

“It’s our three year anniversary, actually.” Jungkook chimed in.

“Is that right? Gosh, it’s like the official anniversary day or something! Bentley, get them an invitation.” Jimin told him. The two boys looked at each other in confusion but smiled politely. After about a minute, he returned with two envelopes. He handed one to each of the boys.

“I invite you to my One Year Grand Opening Celebration Dinner. It’s been one year since I opened up this gem of a restaurant. After all, it is an important day for you both. There will be cake and presents and wine.” Jimin put his hands up and waved them slowly as if he was painting a picture.

“Really?” Taehyung’s mouth dropped. “Thank you, so much, seriously. We’ll be there!”

“T-Taehyung-” Jungkook tried to stop him, as he wasn’t on board.

“Great! See you then, gentlemen.”

Taehyung looked at Jungkook with absolute joy, while Jungkook looked at Taehyung with anxiety.

“You shouldn’t automatically say yes to a random man’s ‘celebration dinner’,” Jungkook muttered. The elder didn’t hear him, though, and continued to open the envelope.

“We have to get to the hotel and pick out our finest suits!” Taehyung exclaimed.

The two sat in the taxi with anticipation. Jungkook kept re-tying his tie, and Taehyung hadn’t stopped bouncing his leg up and down. They were driving to the confidential location that was printed onto the invitations. The neighborhood that they were driving in was already wealthy, but they weren’t ready to see the wealthiest of them all, Park Jimin’s home.

The outside of it looked like it was practically from a movie. It was the largest home they had ever seen. It looked like Cinderella’s castle. Jaws dropped from each and every person in the taxi - including the driver. Silence and shocked faces.

“Have a good time in Heaven,” said the taxi driver. Taehyung nodded and smiled nervously. The two boys climbed out from the back seat. Jungkook grabbed onto Taehyung’s arm and held it close to him. They knocked on the large, rounded door.

“Ah, hello, guests!” Bentley greeted. “Come in, come in! The dining hall is just starting to get full!” Obeying him, the boys walked into the mansion. Instantly, they approached a spiraled staircase to their right. But what

really

caught their attention was the giant 5000+ gallon arched aquarium in front of them that was filled with colorful fish and coral. Nearly every wall shelved at least one aquarium; no matter how big or small.

“The amount of colorful fish here makes me feel like I’m underdressed,” Jungkook whispered. Taehyung nodded in agreement. They made their way down the hallway and followed the noise of people chattering and music on a speaker. Nobody noticed when they walked in, as they blended into the crowd. Drinks were passed to them from men with platters.

“It’s like college, but...fancier,” Taehyung yelled over the people talking in order for Jungkook to hear him. He sipped his champagne. A door slammed open, and the familiar man, Jimin, waved his hands out very proudly and confidently.

“Hello!” he yelled. “Welcome!”

People clapped as he walked in and humorously bowed. Pulling out a chair, he felt everybody staring at him. He stood on the chair and made eye contact with everybody there.

“Why, hello, big boy.” He said when he reached one tall man with plump lips and blonde hair. “Welcome, everybody...to my celebration. A celebration of my restaurant, yes, but also of life. I’m Park Jimin. Do me a lovely favor and hug your loved ones around you.” Without hesitation, everybody turned to the people around them and gave them a loving hug; some patted each others’  backs and some rubbed others’ backs. Taehyung gently embraced Jungkook’s body in his arms and kissed his cheek lightly.

“Beautiful,” Jimin said. “Now, settle down and have a seat in any seat you’d like. My home is your home. Make yourselves comfortable.”

Jungkook obeyed and sat in one of the dining chairs that looked like they must have cost around $300 each. They sat and ate finger food, along with main course meals (which were cooked and prepared by the restaurant’s best chefs, of course). Lots of chatter was made all around the room: an older man talking to his wife across the table, people talking to the guests beside them, and of course, Taehyung and Jungkook talking to each other. Jungkook occasionally held onto Taehyung’s thigh or arm when it was available to him, as the environment was brand new to him and nervewracking. When the plates were removed from the elongated dinner table, the face of the event came out from the same doors again. He looked at everybody with his hands against his chest and clasped together. He nodded at each and every person.

“Before our dessert course,” Jimin stated. “Let us get our brains fed, as well...with a stimulating game, of course!” He inhaled deeply after he finished his sentence. Nobody in the room seemed opposed to the idea. It was as if Jimin was a dictator, and everybody complied to what he said.

“You used your sense of

taste

,” he stuck his index finger onto his tongue and dragged it downwards. “Now, we will use our sense of

touch

.” He touched the blonde-haired boy’s nose. “What’s your name, darling?”

“Seokjin.”

“Gorgeous, Seokjin. Let me use you as our demonstration,” As he said this, he pulled out a black, silk blindfold from the inside of his suit. “Close your eyes.”

He placed it on his demonstrator and waved his hands in front of him, testing whether or not he could see through the deep and sexy color. Grabbing his hand, he placed a feather in his palm.

“Seokjin, if you can guess what this is, I’ll give you $100.”

“A feather, right? It feels like a feather.”

Jimin gasped. “He’s a genius! Here, honey.” He pulled the $100 bill from the same pocket and placed it in his hand, folded. The rest of the guests clapped and applauded.

“Do you all want money?” Jimin asked the people around him. What sounded like a very smushed together

yeshea

(a mix of

yes

and

yeah

) came out from the crowd.

“Oh, I love it! Bentley, hand me the blindfolds.” The host held his arm out, ready to hold the pieces of fabric. Bentley gave him the blindfolds and bowed.

“Blindfold each other, or be blessed by me if I do it for you. Your choice loves.”

Many people blindfolded each other, but a handful let Jimin himself do it for them. They’d laugh and blush whenever Jimin would. Jimin’s aura is flirty and attractive, and everybody loves it.

“This is fun, isn’t it?” Taehyung whispered to his boyfriend.

“I don’t know, Tae, it seems kind of...weird,” Jungkook responded, not looking at him.

“Aww, baby, don’t worry about it! It’s

Jimin

!” He held Jungkook’s hand and smiled in pity.

Everybody in the room was fully blindfolded and unable to see. Silence and anticipation filled the room as Jimin walked up to the balcony, looking down at his guests.

“You all look wonderful. Stunning suits and dresses and everything in between,” Jimin chuckled. Every mouth in the room smiled back at him. “Now, if you can guess what Bentley will put out in front of you, you all get $5,000!”

Ooh’s

and

aah’s

and

oh my gosh!’s

filled the room as Jimin turned to Bentley, who was standing at the front of the fishtanks. Jimin nodded at him and watched as Bentley turned to the doors behind him, grabbing an item, then closing the doors. The item shone in the light from the windows when he grasped it in his hands. A metal baseball bat.  He swung at the fish tank glass as quickly and as forcefully as possible, having shards of glass breaking pierce the people’s ears. Nobody had ever swung at something so forcefully in their whole lifetime. He ran up to the balcony as quickly as possible, standing and breathing heavily next to Jimin. Glass cut into the baby-smooth skin of the guests. Heads were stricken first, then shoulders, then backs and stomachs, followed by the legs and exposed feet.

A million waterfalls hit the guests’ faces as the fish squirmed throughout the oozing saltwater. Lungs filled with what felt like the whole Pacific Ocean. The man who started it all looked down from the balcony with the blindfolds still folded over his wrist. The room filled with every inch of water filling the crevices of the old walls. Screams were the only music that people would ever listen to again. The only drink that they would swallow was saltwater and the only food they would consume is assorted fish. People fell to the bottom of the floor as the water submerged them.

“Bentley,” Jimin whispered as he stared down at the people that he killed.

“Yes, sir?”

“I thought we agreed to keep the two boys alive.”

“I’m sorry, sir.”

Jimin raised his arm while still looking at the new aquarium that was filling his dining room floor. He pushed Bentley forward, hearing him choke on air and flip downwards, falling into the water. He tried to stay afloat frantically, waving his arms in the air.

“

SIR!

Don’t do this, I beg you!” Bentley screamed. His words echoed throughout the room.

“Don’t try to swim,” Jimin calmly responded. “You’re wasting energy.”

“I knew that I should’ve quit your damn scam of a job! You only care about yourself, sir. You're throwing your life away. I will never, ever forgive you!” He sobbed.

“I know, Bentley.”

“You will never me or anybody in this room alive again, do you hear me?!”

“I know, Bentley.”

Jimin sighed as he tried to block out the words from entering his ears. He mindlessly looked up and at his surroundings. Time felt like jelly in the dining room.

“Goodbye, Bentley.” Mr. Park said for the last time as he fell down with the rest of the guests.
