Fight for Freedom – B.A.P
Shackled to a wall, in a damp cellar, was not what Gahyeon had expected when she had started her day. Her plan was to go to the market in place of her mother, buy what they needed for the week, yet in the forest she had been intercepted. When the townspeople spoke of the witch living in the forest, Gahyeon had stemmed it as a folk tale and people being too imaginative. Having been face to face with the old witch herself, Gahyeon regretted risking it by taking the shortcut.Tears streamed down her face, knowing she was never to see her loved ones' faces ever again. And to even think about the pain her parents would be put through was heartbreaking enough. She felt sorry for them and she dearly hoped they'd forgive her for her foolishness.
“Hey!”A voice.
With a tear stained face Gahyeon looked up to the small, barred window. A woman's face was staring back at her.
“I will get you out of there okay,” the woman said in a whisper. “I just need you to be really noisy, draw the witch down to you. Can you do that?”Gahyeon nodded.
She had been told by the witch she would get a gruesome death if she dared to be noisy, but it was the only chance she had.She had to fight.Opening her mouth, Gahyeon began to scream at the top of her lungs. Seconds trickled by before the basement door slammed open and the ugly witch descended the stairs.“Didn't I tell you to shut up, child?” She hissed, bony fingers reaching for Gahyeon and grabbing her by her hair. “Shut up!” She pulled, causing Gahyeon to scream out in pain. Her back hit the stone wall half a second later, having been flung against it by the surprisingly strong witch.
Gahyeon grunted, but had not forgotten the request of the woman and she began screaming again so the witch would not leave.“Be quiet, stupid child!”
Just then a sword cut right through the witch's chest. With a haunting howl the witch sank to her knees as the sword was pulled out.
Behind her stood the woman from before, her face stone cold as she swung her sword and cut off the witch's head. The woman shifted her gaze, smiling widely as she met Gahyeon's eyes.
“Good thing I decided to go hunting today,” She said in a pleasant and casual tone, as if she was simply speaking of the weather.
Gahyeon was too awestruck to speak, the events having taken a toll of her. She remained silent as she got released from the shackles and even as the woman supported her weight, helping her to ascend the stairs.
“You shouldn't be venturing in these woods alone, without any protection,” the woman spoke, breaking the silence. “You're the ideal target for many types of creatures out there.”So the fairy tales were true. She would listen and respect to the many folk tales after this harrowing event.“I'll walk with you home. I'm Siyeon by the way and I'm a hunter of sorts.”“I'm Gahyeon.” It was said in a whisper, but at least she was capable of speaking.
“Well, Gahyeon, be careful in the future.”“I understand.”They exited the forest, the sun already low on the horizon, about to disappear behind the mountains. It was getting late, her parents most likely fraught with worry.
“Wouldn't want a pretty girl like you to get hurt would we.” Siyeon's voice sounded melodic, as if she was singing. “Here we are.” They stopped in front of the small cottage, Gahyeon's home. “Take care of yourself, pretty Gahyeon.” Siyeon winked and swiftly turned around, walking away before more words could be uttered.
It was only hours later, after having reassured her parents she was fine and gotten into the warmth of her bed, that Gahyeon finally realised something; how had the hunter known where she lived?

Nord Mead - Miracle of Sound
“Another!”“Don't you think you've had enough?”Siyeon leaned her head backwards and laughed out loud. “Far from it! I slew a dragon today and I am going to drink until I fall down!”The young and sweet barmaid sighed, but filled the cup with more nord mead. “Just don't complain to me tomorrow when your head is a mess.”Siyeon accepted the cup and leaned forward, eyes shimmering as she grinned at the barmaid. “You'll take care of me as you always do, my beautiful Gahyeon. Don't pretend otherwise.”Gahyeon sighed loudly. “Can't believe we're married.”Siyeon took a swig from the cup and licked her lips. “Celebrate with me! We have enough money to get the house we've always wanted now.”The barmaid visibly perked up and grabbed her own cup. “I'll cheer to that.”“Cheers, love! For dead dragons and for the most beautiful barmaid in all of Tamriel!”“And to Siyeon the Dragon Slayer!”Gahyeon chugged down the cup and slammed it on the counter. Siyeon could not help but to admire
how her wife impressively had emptied her cup.
“And I'm super grateful, honey. But you're coming to bed with me right now.” Gahyeon took the cup from Siyeon's hand.“To bed? Sounds goo-““We're going to sleep.”Bummer, yet Siyeon knew she was way too drunk considering how she had to lean all her weight on Gahyeon to be able to walk. Sleep sounded good. She fell onto the bed, sighing in content at the softness.“Good night, love,” Gahyeon whispered gently and placed a kiss on Siyeon's cheek. She passed out before she could answer.

My Sweet Baby – One Ok Rock
“Aww, is my sweet baby okay?”“I'm not your baby!”“Is baby mad? Little baby shouldn't be mad.”“I swear to god I will kill you.”“You're just cute when you're mad.”“Stop pinching my cheeks!”“So cute!”“Siyeon!”“Cute little baby Gahyeon.”“Siyeon, stop harassing the underclassmen!”“But, Minji, she's just too fucking cute!”“I'm-”“Yes?”“I give up.”“Yes! My cutie baby. Let me pinch those cheeks.”“I hate you, Lee Siyeon!”“So. Fucking. Adorable.”

Like a lioness upon her prey she charged, slamming the shorter woman against the wall with a loud thud.“Got you,” Siyeon gritted out, her eyes turning purple as she gazed down at the beautiful woman she had trapped.Wide eyed and flushed cheeks, her breathing a little short.“Lee Gahyeon,” Siyeon bent down, their noses rubbing. “Running away from me is futile.”Gahyeon said nothing, she just stared into Siyeon's eyes with the purple eyes reflecting her own. Some sick and twisted game. One Siyeon did not understand, as she chased the elusive beauty from place to place. Neverending. Time had passed like a blur, empires having risen and fallen while Siyeon chased Gahyeon.“I won't let you go this time,” Siyeon gritted out.A sweet, yet teasing smile grew on Gahyeon's soft lips. Soft lips which Siyeon captured mere seconds later, pulling her into a bruising, yet passionate kiss.Gahyeon always tasted so sweet, like mango: a fruit which had grown to become Siyeon's favourite. With a soft groan she pressed closer, pressed her body into Gahyeon's soft build.Their silken lips moved in a familiar dance, their hands touching upon places they had travelled many times before.Yet all too soon the sweet embrace was broken.“This time it was too easy,” Gahyeon spoke, her eyes twinkling in a heart stuttering way. “This is all you get.”And in the blink of an eye, Gahyeon disappeared before her eyes, leaving only the calming scent of vanilla in her wake.Siyeon straightened her back, her eyes narrowed in determination: the hunt was on again. One day she would ensnare the elusive beauty, make her stay beside her until the universe collapses. But for now, she would play Gahyeon's game.Siyeon had all the time in the world.

Guilty as charged - MYNAMEGahyeon gulped, her cheeks reddening as the school's most intimidating student had caught her red handed in staring.Lee Siyeon, the all female school's designated bad girl, who constantly wore a stone cold expression.Someone whom Gahyeon had always sported a crush on her, constantly stealing gazes when she could. And as gods would have it, they were sharing a room this year.Of course Gahyeon hadn't been able to stop her habit of staring, even if they had been sharing a room for days already.Gahyeon flinched when Siyeon abruptly got up from her bed and walked the few meters to Gahyeon's bed.Would Siyeon yell at her? Tell her to stop being such a creep? She wouldn't blame her, not really.Hands cupped her round cheeks and Gahyeon could only stare up at the older girl, both embarrassed and intimidated.“So! Fucking! Cute!” Siyeon yelled loudly, startling Gahyeon.Wait what?“I just wanna eat you up, you're as cute as button and I'm keeping you forever!” Siyeon declared.Soon after, they grew into close friends, and then into lovers.Gahyeon was quick to learn there was nothing ‘bad’ about Siyeon. She was definitely the dorkiest person Gahyeon had ever met.And it only caused her to love Siyeon even more.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
There she was, the annoying Hufflepuff, standing there and smiling without a care in the world. What a fucking annoying little shit.Siyeon could never understand how anyone could look this happy at 7AM in the morning, it was beyond disgusting and inhuman.“Siyeon! Good morning!”Merlin. Every morning, without fail, this Hufflepuff would approach the Slytherin table and greet Siyeon like they were friends.Siyeon just grunted a reply and took another bite of her cereal.“Can I sit here?”Another grunt; Siyeon didn’t really care, had even grown used to Gahyeon sometimes eating with her.It was definitely weird though.-“Siyeon!”Circe's tits. Second time in one day. Siyeon stopped and looked behind her, seeing a nearly glowing Gahyeon bouncing towards her.“You're on your way to Charms right? Let's walk together!”Siyeon just nodded, and didn't even react when Gahyeon attached herself to her arm as they walked. She listened as the Hufflepuff talked about something which had happened in Defence Against Dark Arts.-It was after dinner when Siyeon had ran into Gahyeon again, and had somehow been persuaded to go down to the lake and sit there despite it being late autumn and a bit too chilly.Even in the bitter wind, Gahyeon was smiling like the sun.Siyeon huffed and unconsciously scooted closer to the small girl next to her, seeking warmth.“It's beautiful, right?” Gahyeon sighed dreamily, placing her head on Siyeon's shoulder. Their hands were entwined, which Siyeon only noticed now. “Life has been so nice lately. I have good friends and an amazing girlfriend. I feel happy.”Wait, hold on.Girlfriend? When the fuck did Gahyeon get a girlfriend? As far as Siyeon knew, Gahyeon only spent time with her, and some of her friends in Hufflepuff, so when the fuck did she have time to get a girlfriend? For some reason, Siyeon was absolutely livid.Who? Who was Gahyeon dating? Who was she in love with? Who got to see Gahyeon's smiles all day, feel her touch, have her by her side? What lucky bastard-Siyeon's eyes widened. It couldn't be-It must be that girl Yoobin from Hufflepuff. She had seen them together from time to time, and Siyeon could definitely see hearts in Yoobin's eyes whenever she was next to Gahyeon.“Fuck that Yoobin, I'm better than her!”“Yoobin? Why are you talking badly about my friend?” Gahyeon's eyes were round, her forehead creased in confusion.Friend.Okay good. But it didn't solve the problem.“Are you jealous?” Gahyeon asked quietly. Was she? Yeah, Siyeon definitely was. Gahyeon was her personal ray of sunshine and she didn’t want to share. It was a very late realisation, maybe, but Siyeon had gotten used to and maybe even secretly looked forward to seeing Gahyeon everyday. Because they had been hanging out every day for the past weeks.“You know she's just a friend right? You're the one I like, so don't worry.” As if emphasising, Gahyeon placed a small peck on Siyeon's cheek.Oh shit. She was Gahyeon's girlfriend. That explained the clinginess for the past weeks, and the weird moment when Siyeon had followed Gahyeon to her common room and the smaller girl had stood there expectantly, and had walked away in disappointment after saying good night. Siyeon had spent hours that following night trying to understand what it was Gahyeon had wanted. When had they become girlfriends and how had it happened? No, screw that, she had more important things to deal with; like doing something she should have done weeks ago.Maybe not as carefully as she should have, Siyeon cupped Gahyeon’s round cheeks and pulled the girl in for a sweet, short kiss. She kept it fairly innocent and brief, yet it caused her heart to race so badly it almost felt like she would pass out.And it didn't help her heart seeing Gahyeon's face shine like a thousand suns and with adorable flaming cheeks.Yup, Gahyeon was annoyingly cheery, but Siyeon adored it.

I get a thrill, turning your life completely inside outI’m sorry you make me so crazy, you know you do
Quietly Siyeon observed. The commotion was beautiful. Police, paramedics, and an audience of curious neighbours. But, her focus lay on the small woman, her pained wails sounding like the sweetest tune.A gurney with a black body bag was being rolled in to the ambulance, the wails of the small woman growing even louder.Siyeon closer her eyes, inhaling the enticing scent of the woman; her despair made her scent stronger.
Lee Gahyeon.
Siyeon opened her eyes and dared to get closer, watching the pretty woman sitting on her knees, tears falling down her cheeks. She was so beautiful. So perfect.Siyeon wanted her. Needed her.But someone had been in the way, had occupied the spot she wanted for herself.Siyeon felt blood lust take over, the thought of the man angering her. How anyone could dare to even step close to Gahyeon when she was hers was simply beyond her.But he was no longer. Gone. And Siyeon would make sure she was the only one for Gahyeon, wanted to become her whole world. And in the future she would. She would lay claim on Gahyeon’s body and soul. But for now. For now she would enjoy the commotion, and enjoy observing as Gahyeon moved on from the useless man.Soon, they would be together.Forever.

Good Goodbye - Linkin ParkThree years had passed.Three long, hard, and lonely years.Yet, she had persevered. The door closed behind her, the fresh, free air hitting her face and caressing her hair. She was finally free.Free, and still sane.Siyeon took a few determined steps, needing to get away from the asylum as soon as possible.“Siyeon!”She froze, her breath hitching. It was the sweet voice she had held onto so tightly the past three years, helping in keeping her sanity and will.Slowly she turned, seeing the wealthy dressed woman run towards her. Siyeon barely had time to open her arms before she had an armful of the beautiful angel, her heart beating rapidly against her chest.Gahyeon was in her arms again.“I'm sorry.” Pain was evident in the sweet voice. “It is my fault you got sent there. I never should have-“Siyeon had pulled away and pressed a finger against the soft lips. “It's neither of our faults. What we did was not wrong, no matter what people say.”“But it shouldn't have only been you.”Siyeon shook her head; of course it had to be her, Gahyeon was too soft to survive such a place. It was why Siyeon had claimed she had been the one seducing Gahyeon, had taken the full blame for their ‘unnatural’ relationship.“We're together again now, that is what matters,” Siyeon whispered. “Did you do what I said?”Gahyeon nodded. “I have saved up money. I am ready to leave town today.”Siyeon sighed out in relief; in the three years they hadn't been able to see each other, she had been afraid her sweet love would have moved on.“Then let's leave today.”The brilliant smile taking form on Gahyeon's face was nothing short of breath-taking.“Yes, let us.”
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
“Siyeon!”The door had slammed open a second before the familiar voice filled the apartment, making Siyeon nearly fall out of her small couch in shock.Sometimes she regretted giving Gahyeon a spare key, but it had been easier this way as the girl spent most of her days lounging around in Siyeon's apartment anyways. Gahyeon still lived at home, so apparently she preferred staying at Siyeon's tiny apartment even when Siyeon was at work. It kind of worked out, since Gahyeon actually sometimes watered the one plant Bora had given her as a housewarming gift. Siyeon hadn't thought it would live past the the two months mark, but it had survived for one year and had been really thriving the past months thanks to Gahyeon.
“Hey, Gahyeon. Why are you yelling?”Gahyeon dropped her backpack and thre herself on the couch, immediately clinging onto Siyeon's side. “I just missed you.”If anyone asked, Siyeon was not blushing. “You saw me yesterday.”Gahyeon let out a whine and hugged even tighter. “It's been a long day and my mom has been annoying.”“Annoying how?”“... I don't wanna talk about.”Siyeon hummed. “Wanna watch a tacky christmas movie?” It was the holiday season after all and the few tv channels Siyeon had were filled with cliche american holiday films.“Sure.”Siyeon turned on the television and relaxed into Gahyeon's hug, breathing out as she allowed her mind to wander. She still couldn't believe she had only met Gahyeon half a year ago and the two had hit it off so insanely well. They had met at the internet cafe, where Siyeon had gone to relax and play some League of Legends after a day at the car shop. She had never imagined to be approached by a young woman as soon as she sat down, asking if they could play duo as a support and ADC.It was strange, but Siyeon had instantly been taken aback at how adorable the girl was and had said yes without thinking. They began frequently playing together after this, and then not long after they started hanging out regularly. And Siyeon had fallen for her in record speed, making her feel like a high schooler with a crush. But, Gahyeon was straight so Siyeon had done her best to bury the feelings, as she valued their friendship immensely.“Soon I'm getting my degree and then I can get a job, and then I can move out.”Siyeon blinked, looking away from the television. “I guess the film isn't distracting you enough.”Gahyeon sighed loudly and sat up straight, turning so she was facing Siyeon. “Mom keeps bothering me about my lack of dating life.”“You're only 22.”“Exactly! Thank you!” Gahyeon carded her hand through her thick black locks, looking exasperated. “But both of my older sisters had already met their current husbands before they turned 22, so my mom has unreal expectations of me.”Yikes. “That sucks.”“She keeps wanting me to bring someone home, totally disregarding my wish to focus on my own life right now.”Gahyeon then pouted. “I wish she was more like your mom. Your mom is pretty chill, right?”“She just wants me to be happy, whether I'm single or dating.” Which was good because having supportive and understanding parents when you're gay was pretty relieving.“Lucky.” Gahyeon let out another sigh, then without a word she climbed into Siyeon's lap and sat down, pulling arms around her body. Siyeon was used to this kind of cuddling and didn't even question it. She just hugged Gahyeon's body tighter and placed her chin on a shoulder.“Maybe I'll lie about dating someone.”“Wouldn't that just backfire? They would definitely want to meet-““Fuck, you're right,” Gahyeon deflated. “Unless...”Suddenly Siyeon felt nervous. “Unless?”Gahyeon repositioned herself, which was a whole process, and soon she sat sideways on Siyeon's lap instead and their eyes met.“Would you pretend to be my girlfriend? We do this family christmas dinner on the 24th and she would definitely get off my case if I bring someone.”“I'm a woman, Gahyeon.”“Yes, and?”“I'm pretty sure she expects for you to bring a boyfriend.”“Exactly, this will definitely make them shut up.”This would end in disaster. “Gahyeon, you can't cause a rift in your family because of something like this.” They both knew how most Korean households were.“If they can't accept that I'm bi then that's their problem, not mine,” Gahyeon countered with a heated tone.Wait. “You're bi?” Maybe Siyeon's voice was a little high pitched, but could you blame her when her crush, whom she thought was straight, was actually queer?“Yes?” Gahyeon tilted her head cutely. “I never told you?”“No,” Siyeon squeaked“Oh. I guess it never came up.”Even though one of the first things Siyeon had told Gahyeon was that she was gay. Mostly because Siyeon had to make sure she wasn't befriending a bigot.“True, I guess.” This new information was doing a number on Siyeon's mind and heart. Her crush was not straight!“So, will you do it?”“Do what?”“Come to the dinner and pretend you're my girlfriend? You're the only one of my friends my parents have never met, so it would be perfect.”With the way Gahyeon was looking at her: all cute with her wide eyes and pouty lips.. Siyeon was unable to say no, even if she knew this had a huge risk of becoming an absolute disaster.
“Okay.”Gahyeon's face lit up and she threw her arms around Siyeon's neck, kissing her cheek briefly before hugging her tightly.Fuck. This definitely was hazardous to her heart. And knowing Gahyeon wasn't straight filled Siyeon with a naive sense of hope.“Thank you, Siyeon. You're amazing.”Amazingly dumb for going along on such a stupid plan, but she said nothing.-A week later, after seven days of regretting all her life's decisions, Siyeon found herself standing outside Gahyeon's house dressed to impress. Siyeon wasn't the skirts and dresses type, but she had worn a pair of dress pants and a nice blouse. She had considered wearing a shirt and tie, but decided against it.She breathed in deeply, muttered encouraging words to herself, then pressed the doorbell.Only seconds went by before the door opened roughly, a smiling Gahyeon standing in the empty space. “Hey, come in!” She pulled Siyeon by the coat and the door slammed shut.“Hey,” she breathed out, the warmth hitting her face. It was unreasonably cold outside today and her thick coat and scarf immediately made her sweat due to the contrast.“Let me help,” Gahyeon said, holding her hands open and accepting the coat and scarf, hanging them up neatly. “Now,” she smiled sheepishly and slipped her warm hand in Siyeon's. “Ready?”For a moment Siyeon paused, her eyes sweeping over Gahyeon's outfit: a deep red dress, complimenting her black hair and red lips. It showed a hint of cleavage and her overall curves, but nothing scandalous. In short, Gahyeon looked lethally gorgeous.“Not really,” she admitted. “But let's go.”Gahyeon giggled, looking way too carefree when they could be mere moments from disaster. Siyeon had already envisioned all the possible outcomes and in one of the worst ones there had been lamps being thrown about.Siyeon got pulled into a big living room with a bunch of people sitting around a big table, all eyes on them.“Everyone, meet Siyeon!” Gahyeon still held her hand tightly, a beaming smile on her lips. “And Siyeon, meet everyone.”Siyeon swallowed thickly, thinking about what to say.“You brought a friend as your date, Gahyeon?” An older woman asked, confusion written on her face. She stood by the table, a bowl with steaming food in her hands.Gahyeon shook her head. “No mom, I brought my girlfriend.”Everyone froze, including Siyeon. She breathed in deeply and prepared herself.“You're a lesbian?” It was the mother speaking again, her face looking close to devastated.“I’m bi, mom.” Gahyeon spoke so calmly, like she hadn't just came out on Christmas Eve in front of her family.A chair was kicked back roughly as a young, pretty woman jumped up and ran to Gahyeon, tackling her in a hug. “Baby sis,
I'm so proud of you.”“Definitely glad I came to this dinner,” another young woman said coolly, sounding amused as she sipped from her glass of wine.At least one sister showed support and the other didn't seem scandalised, Siyeon felt a little at ease; hopefully this meant no lamps would be thrown around.“Please, I can't breathe.”The supportive sister ended the hug and stepped away, but not before ruffling Gahyeon's hair a little. She looked so proud, like she was about to cry and it kind of affected Siyeon too.“I for one is relieved.” The father spoke loudly, with a booming voice. “I feel safer knowing my baby girl is with a woman. Now, come sit.”Gahyeon laughed lightly, pulling Siyeon to the table and sitting down on a chair next to her father. Siyeon ended up sitting between Gahyeon and the sister who had seemed to find this entertaining.“Siyeon, was it?” The father spoke again.“Yes, nice to meet you all.” She bowed slightly. The father smiled widely, eyes full of kindness.“Mom?” It was Gahyeon who spoke.Siyeon looked up, seeing how Gahyeon's mother was still standing frozen by the table.“Is this fine?” Gahyeon asked carefully, finally showing a hint of nervousness and fear.
This must have snapped her mother out of it. “Of course, baby. I'm just-“ She paused for a moment. “Adjusting. So give me time to process, okay darling?”Gahyeon nodded. “Of course.”“Barely any drama, almost disappointing,” the woman next to Siyeon said quietly.Gahyeon snorted. “Shut up, Eunjin.”Eunjin shrugged and took another sip of her wine.“Now, let's eat before the food turns cold!” The mother sat down as well and soon conversation resumed around them, even the husbands who had been rather quiet had started talking. Meanwhile Gahyeon was squeezing Siyeon's hand affectionately under the table.“So Siyeon, how old are you and what do you do?” It was the enthusiastic sister, whose name was Dohee if Siyeon remembered correctly.“I'm 26 and I work as a mechanic.”Eunjin sat up straight. “A mechanic? How did you even meet Gahyeon when she doesn't even have a car?”Despite Siyeon's fears, it was actually a really nice evening even if it was obvious Gahyeon's mother was a little uncomfortable, but she handled it pretty well. Siyeon's dad had been the same way, but he had gotten used to it after a little time.“That went well,” Siyeon said in a low voice. They stood by the door, saying their goodbyes as they waited for the taxi to arrive.“Yeah, I'm-“ Gahyeon’s eyes sparkled. “I'm really relieved and happy.” It felt good to be accepted as who you are, so Siyeon fully understood what Gahyeon was feeling. “My dad and sisters all love you already, they're going to be disappointed when they find out we're not together.”Oh right. For a moment, while sitting with Gahyeon at a family dinner, it had felt like they were actually a couple. “How are we doing that? Fake break up? Or you telling them the truth?” Siyeon whispered, scared someone would overhear.Gahyeon's eyes turned a little less sparkly, her teeth worrying a lip. “I don't know...”Maybe it was the wine Gahyeon's father kept pouring in her glass, but Siyeon suddenly felt a wave of courage.“There is a third option,” Siyeon said.“Oh?”“Be my girlfriend for real.” Her voice came out more confident than she actually felt.Gahyeon seemed utterly speechless, judging by her open mouth and wide eyes.“I mean,” Siyeon felt her voice shake. “We hang out almost everyday, you already have a key to my apartment, and we cuddle like a domestic loving couple anyways. We're basically already a couple.” Then her words caught up with her brain. “Unless of course, you don't feel anything! Of course I respect that. So no pressure and I don't wanna lose our friendship-““Siyeon.” Gahyeon spoke in a calm tone, eyes filled with amusement. “I would love to be your actual girlfriend. I've had a crush on you before you knew my name. I always saw you at the cafe.”Oh.Siyeon hadn't expected that. “So we've basically been a couple for half a year, minus the kissing?”Gahyeon nodded. They had to fix that. “Can I kiss you?”Another nod.Siyeon dipped down, her hands gently cupping the soft cheeks as she gently kissed the full lips. It was short, and quite innocent, but standing in Gahyeon's parents’ house a mere peck was all Siyeon dared.“That's barely a kiss,” Gahyeon whined, doe eyes looking up.“I'll kiss you properly next time, when your family isn't 20 metres away.”“What if I come home with you?”Siyeon's heartrate picked up. “I definitely wouldn't mind that.”Gahyeon gave her a sultry look before opening her mouth and yelling that she was leaving with Siyeon. She grabbed her own coat and stepped into more comfortable shoes. “The cab should be here, so let's go to your place and you can kiss me properly.”Siyeon tried to ignore her heated cheeks and put an arm around Gahyeon's waist. “Whatever my cute girlfriend demands.”There were no christmas gifts exchanged between them, but being able to call Gahyeon her girlfriend was the only gift she needed this christmas.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
When the doorbell had rang during her favourite evening show, Gahyeon had never in her wildest dream thought she would opening the door to see Lee Siyeon. At first she was speechless, eyes wide and breath quickening as her hand gripped the door handle so hard her knuckles whitened.Them came the rushing anger.“Oh hell no.” She had half a mind to slam the door in Siyeon’s nervous looking face, but her mother had taught her to give everyone a chance to speak.“Gahyeon, please-“But that didn’t mean she would make it easy. “What the hell are you doing here, Siyeon?” Despite the rage making her body tremor, her voice was relatively composed.“I-“ Shame. Fear. Remorse. It could all be seen in Siyeon’s eyes. Gahyeon had used to love how expressive Siyeon’s eyes were, but right now it only served to make her even more pissed.“Out with it.”A deep sigh swept past Siyeon’s lips. “I want to make things right. I want to make up for my wrong decisions.”“It’s been five years.”“I know,” Siyeon looked away for a moment, arms loosely crossed and shame emanating from her entire posture.“You abandoned our daughter before she was even born.”“I know.” Her voice was a mere whisper, barely audible. They had been foolish teenagers in love, Gahyeon just turned eighteen and Siyeon a mere year older, and as foolish teens tend to be, they weren’t too careful.Siyeon had ran away when Gahyeon was 5 months pregnant, and she hadn’t been back. Not until tonight.“Why are you back now?”Siyeon finally looked into Gahyeon’s eyes, her face overflowing with emotion. “Because not a day goes by where I don’t think about you and our daughter. I know I’ve lost any chance I have with you, but I want to be there for our daughter. I want to do what is right.” It was said with conviction, yet a hint of desperateness. “I want to see my child growing up. I’ve already missed five years of her life. Five years I’ll always regret.” She looked down again.A small part of Gahyeon’s heart ached in sympathy, the part where she had never given up hope about Siyeon returning.Yet, that part of the heart could not win against the anger and hurt raging within her.But.Gahyeon knew her daughter had a right to know her other mother, had a right to grow up with her in her life. She had to put away the resentment, for her daughter’s sake. She let out a deep breath. “Come by at noon on Saturday to meet your daughter, and then we’ll take it from there.”It looked as if a whole mountain of burdens had been lifted off of Siyeon’s shoulders and her arms quickly pulled Gahyeon into a tight hug. “Thank you,” she breathed out, voice coloured with relief. For a moment Gahyeon forgot, letting the small piece of her heart take over as she fell to the familiarity of the hug and the calming scent which was so disctinctly Siyeon. But only for a moment.“Siyeon.” It was spoken in a harsh tone, with just a hint of vulnerability. Luckily Siyeon understood and quickly stepped back. “I’ll see you on Saturday.” She nodded politely and pulled a half nervous smile before turning around and walking down the hallGahyeon was about to close the door when she opened it full and stuck her head out. “Her name is Miyeong.” She called down, watching as Siyeon froze. Gahyeon didn’t wait for a response, closing the door immediately after.Miyeong had been the name Siyeon had fought for, before she had chickened out and run away. She sighed, shoulders relaxing as she leaned against the door with her back and closed her eyes.Siyeon was back.Life would become different, and whether it would be a good change or not had yet to be seen. She hoped it would be a good different, for the sake of Miyeong and herself.“Please don’t disappoint me a second time, Siyeon.”
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
The red cheeks and the soft look in her eyes spoke volumes. Siyeon let out a small chuckle, opening her arms in a silent invitation. Gahyeon visibly perked up, having never been one to say no to physical affection and cuddles.“So,” Siyeon said as she hugged the shorter woman closer, placing a soft kiss onto the temple. “Who is it this time?”“Am I that obvious?” Gahyeon's voice came out muffled as she buried her face in Siyeon's shoulder. They stood by the kitchen counter, drowning in each other's embraces after having been parted since the early morning.“Babe, we've been together for five years and I’ve known you for six.” If laws had permitted it, they would already be married.A little whine sounded from Gahyeon. “Unfair.” Siyeon could practically hear the pout in her voice.“Let's sit down and we can talk all about it.” Siyeon had not forgotten why she had stood by the fridge when Gahyeon came home and got her cup of assorted fruit; she had been feeling peckish even if she had grabbed dinner on the way back from her busking. “Okay,” she said as soon as they sat down on the couch. She popped a strawberry into her mouth. “Tell me,” she said while chewing, eyes on her girlfriend.Immediately Gahyeon reddened again and she made another high pitched sound. “It's the new colleague, she's Chinese and she is still not fully comfortable speaking Korean, so I've been helping her and-“ Gahyeon's voice was soft and dreamy, her eyes sparkling while her cheeks remained redSiyeon just peacefully ate her pieces of fruit as Gahyeon gushed about Handong, the new colleague. Apparently she was quite gorgeous and elegant, and lovely and softspoken. She sounded pretty nice.“She's so kind,” Gahyeon said, smiling sweetly. “I feel like my heart is gonna shoot out of my body whenever she says my name.”Siyeon brushed the fruit juice from her fingers on her pants, then cupped Gahyeon's cheeks and lightly squished them. “You're so cute.”“Siyeon! I'm an adult, please-“Siyeon just laughed softly, squishing the adorable face a little more and finding enjoyment in seeing the way Gahyeon's lips pulled into a cute pout.Maybe it was a little weird for an almost 30 years old woman to be pinching the cheeks of her 25 years old girlfriend, but Siyeon didn't care. No matter how old, Gahyeon would always be extremely adorable and her cheeks were made for pinching.Siyeon smiled widely, letting her hands fall down on Gahyeon's shoulders. “Cute.” She leaned forward to steal a small kiss, enjoying the way Gahyeon became flustered.“The entire office already mocks me enough, I don' t need that from my girlfriend too.”“They mock you? Because of our obvious crush on pretty Handong?” Siyeon couldn't help it, she loved teasing Gahyeon too.“Yes, and some of them are awkward about it because they know I'm live with you.”This time Siyeon laughed loudly, head leaning back slightly. It's not like she could blame them, if they didn't know them enough to understand their relationship then of course they would feel awkward about it. Most people would not be happy about their girlfriend having a crush on someone else, but Siyeon had quickly learnt who Gahyeon was.Gahyeon falls in love easily. She has the ability to find something attractive in most people, which never failed to make her cheeks redden and her heart pick up speed. It had been weird at first, but in the end it was one of the reasons why Siyeon loved her so much. It was beautiful, the way Gahyeon can find something loveable in almost everyone. While Siyeon had laughed softly, feeling amused by the confusion of the coworkers, Gahyeon had frozen before her. Her eyes were big, nearly sparkling, and her mouth open.Siyeon rose an eyebrow at her, watching as Gahyeon put a hand on her chest.“Siyeon, don't do that to me.”“Do what?” She feigned confusion.“You know damn well,” Gahyeon glared slightly. “God, my heart can't take it when you smile.”Siyeon had to fight back a small squeal, schooling her face to look unaffected. “Gahyeon, I can’t stop smiling just because you're weak for me." She had to hold back a snort, amused by her own dumb line. This made Gahyeon roll her eyes. “Lame.” She lightly swatted Siyeon on the upper arm, before she seemed to get a better idea and instead moved to straddle Siyeon. This definitely sobered up Siyeon, and she stared up at Gahyeon while placing her hands on the hips.“I realised you haven't given me a welcome home kiss,” Gahyeon said, her hands on the collar of Siyeon's sweater, short fingers bundling the fabric.“You're right,” Siyeon smiled softly. “Welcome home, Gahyeon.” She was going to move a hand and pull her girlfriend down, but Gahyeon was quicker and sweet lips descended onto hers.Siyeon's fingers dug harder into the hips as her lips moved against Gahyeon's, tilting her head slightly so the kiss would grow deeper.Yes, her girlfriend might fall in love with other people on a near weekly basis, but she also seemed to fall in love with Siyeon every day. Siyeon felt no threat nor any jealousy, not when she could still make Gahyeon flustered after five years of dating while these crushes barely lasted a week.Gahyeon broke the kiss, her lips swollen and shiny. “You taste really sweet,” she said, nearly out of breath.“I bought a fruit cup for you too, if you want one.”Gahyeon smiled widely, pecking Siyeon's cheek before jumping off and heading the three metres from the couch to the fridge. Soon she sat next to Siyeon again, cuddling into her side and happily munching on fruit while the TV was on.“I love you,” Gahyeon said, voice a little muffled from talking while eating.Siyeon smiled brightly, ignoring the way her stomach fluttered. “I love you too.”
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"No.""Siyeon please! I promise you that this time I found the perfect person for you!" Her coworker and dear friend, Gahyeon spoke in a near whine, eyes big.Siyeon felt her resolution waver for a moment. "No. I’m not interested." She said this every time, yet in the end she always ended up agreeing."This is someone I can promise you will fall in love with! She’s perfect for you."Siyeon sighed. Loudly. "I don’t want to go on another blind date." This would be the 8th date Gahyeon had set her up on.Honestly Siyeon was lowkey impressed at how many queer women Gahyeon knew."But you won’t know until you try." Gahyeon’s lips formed into a pout, her eyes glittery. She was truly pulling out the big guns and the last of Siyeon’s fight dissipated. "You said you wanted a girlfriend. You can't get one if you don't try.""Fine. But this time prepare the poor woman by telling her I’m definitely not interested." It was a legit problem, how Siyeon wasn’t capable of denying Gahyeon and therefore went on these blind dates only to turn her date down. You see, Siyeon was head over heels in love with Gahyeon. Had been for as long as they had been friends, and they met three years ago. Siyeon’s heart wast a stubborn little bitch who didn’t know how to let go on a lost cause.Because Gahyeon never seemed to take any of the hints, which meant she was most likely not interested.Honestly Gahyeon didn’t seem to be interested in anyone, as she was busy with her veterinary job and the little freetime she had was spent with her family and friends."You won’t regret it!" Gahyeon’s eyes were sparkling in excitement, which just deepened the dread in the pit of Siyeon’s stomach. "She’ll be wearing a beret." As Gahyeon said this, she handed Siyeon a note with the name of the cafe and the meeting time. "I have to run back to work now."Siyeon nodded. Her own lunch time was almost up too and she had adorable furry patients to tend to. Gahyeon grinned widely, looking all too cute, before she walked away. With a soulful sigh, Siyeon looked down at the note.Tomorrow 14:00.Gahyeon knew Siyeon's schedule so of course it didn't conflict with her work.-Siyeon had dressed quite normally, just wearing a simple t-shirt, a leather jacket, and some comfortable pants. Meeting at a cafe definitely relieved some clothing pressure. But it didn’t help much on the dread she felt from having to meet a stranger and then immediately tell her this wouldn’t work.Breathing in deeply, Siyeon pushed the cafe door open and immediately scanned the area with her eyes.It wasn’t hard to spot the dark haired girl wearing the beret, sitting with her back turned to the door.“Let’s get this over with,” Siyeon muttered to herself under her breath, walking over to the table.“Oh, you’re right on time!”All words died on her tongue, eyes wide as she tried to process what she was seeing. The woman in the beret was Gahyeon. The woman whom she was absolutely whipped for.“Sit down, I already ordered for you.”Still at a loss for words, Siyeon dropped down on the chair opposite of Gahyeon.“I’m surprised you even showed, I was sure I was gonna be stood up.” Gahyeon lifted the steaming cup of coffee to her lips, smiling cutely. “You didn’t sound so enthusiastic about going on a date.”Siyeon made a weird gargled sound deep from her throat. Gahyeon had called it a date.“Here’s the coffee.” The barista at the small cafe placed a cup in front of a struggling for words Siyeon.“Thank you.” Gahyeon said in her stead and the barista walked back behind the counter“If I’d known-“ Finally Siyeon was able to open her mouth. “If I had known it was you I wouldn’t have been so reluctant.”Gahyeon’s eyes widened. “Oh, so Yoohyeon was right. You do like me.” She placed her cup down with a small thud. “I thought maybe she was joking with me, because she knew I was in love with you.”Once again Siyeon’s brain short circuited as it tried to process the new information; Gahyeon was in love with her? Since when?“I thought I was pretty obvious,” Siyeon countered, sounding pretty calm despite her shaking hand and fast beating heart.“Probably, I can be a little dense sometimes,” Gahyeon admitted. “But I thought I was pretty obvious too.”“How is setting me up on dates being obvious?” If anything it would give the opposite signal.“I meant, before that,” Gahyeon clarified. “I set you up on dates because you complained that you wanted to have a girlfriend to cuddle with and I wanted to help.”Siyeon locked eyes with Gahyeon. “I wanted that girlfriend to be you. I even gave you a pointed look when I said that”. The biggest, fattest hint she had dropped and it had been misinterpreted.“Yeah I see that now,” Gahyeon’s cheeks were dusted with red. “But we can start now right? If you want to go on dates with me, I mean.”Siyeon gently placed her hand over the one resting on the table, feeling the soft skin with her fingertips. “Definitely.”Siyeon would have to thank Gahyeon’s best friend later, but for now she would enjoy being on an official date with the woman owning her heart.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, the bright sun peeking through the window in the small living room and Gahyeon was enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. The first snow had fallen yesterday and the temperature was still below 0 degrees celsius. A chilly, but pleasant day.
Gahyeon had decided to treat herself with a hot chocolate on this cold afternoon, purposefully forgetting about the upcoming exam she should be studying for.
It was a quiet and relaxing ten minutes, until the door slammed open and alerted her of her flatmate’s return.
Lee Siyeon. University dropout, barista, and a small venue singer. They had met six months ago, when Gahyeon had responded to her room-mate ad.
They had immediately hit it off.
“You know what the best feeling in the world is?” Siyeon said as she placed the white plastic bag on the kitchen counter.
Gahyeon just looked at her, waiting.
“The best feeling in the world,” Siyeon’s arms had slipped out of the sleeves and under the body of her baggy sweater. “Is taking off your bra after a long, hard day.” She threw said bra over the back of the couch, the couch Gahyeon was currently seated on.
“Long, hard day? You didn’t get out of bed until noon and left 30 minutes ago to go to the convenience store and get some soda and chocolate.”
Siyeon slipped her arms through the sweater sleeves again and shrugged, grabbing two cokes out of the white bag. “Still feels amazing to take it off.”
Gahyeon couldn’t argue against that, so she remained silent as Siyeon dropped down on the couch.
“Here.”
Gahyeon accepted the red can, her half empty and lukewarm cup of hot chocolate forgotten on the coffee table. “Thanks.” She was about to pop it open, but froze when she noticed Siyeon staring at her expectantly. “What?”
“Where’s my welcome home?”
“You were only gone for 30 minutes.”
A theatrical sigh slipped past Siyeon’s lips and Gahyeon rolled her eyes.
“Fine,” Gahyeon leaned over, tilting her head slightly upwards as she placed a small, gentle peck onto Siyeon’s red lips. “Welcome home.” Her tone was soft and her insides turned warm as she watched Siyeon’s mouth stretch into a happy smile.
They got along so exceedingly well they had officially become girlfriends last month, after months of mutual pining. Gahyeon thanked herself everyday for not being intimidated by the flatmate ad being signed by Lee ‘Wolf’ Siyeon.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
They were always there, following and watching. Preying on her every move, her every emotion.Nights were the worst. The shadows would move closer, lick against her skin teasingly, taunting her with whispered words.“Darling?”Gentle, loving hands touched her face, an affectionate voice demanding her attention.Gahyeon. The love of her life.Siyeon breathed in deeply, sensing the shadows slinker away into the crevices, intimidated by the sheer light Gahyeon’s presence emitted.“Why are you sitting here in the dark?”Siyeon focused on the warmth on her cheek, the love in the pleasant voice. They were in the living room, Siyeon on the couch and Gahyeon kneeling before her.“Was waiting for you.”It was dark and it was hard to see Gahyeon’s face, but Siyeon knew the other woman was smiling lovingly, knew there would be an apology in her gaze.“Sorry things ran late at work. You should have gone to bed without me.”Usually Siyeon would, but the shadows had been relentless tonight. She didn’t dare to go to sleep alone.“Let’s go to bed?”Siyeon lifted a hand, placing it above the one on her cheek. “Yeah.”Nothing was scary with Gahyeon by her side, the whispers of the shadows muted. Clinging onto the smaller woman, Siyeon slept with a light heart.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
It wasn’t a common occurrence for Siyeon to hunt down random prey, but it had been weeks since she last fed and there had been a supply issue of blood bags.So when she was walking home after work and scenting an absolutely tantalising and irresistible smell, she had given into instincts. It had been decades since Siyeon had last hunted, but it was still like second nature. It helped even more when her intended prey had walked into an alley, unaware of the blonde vampire following her.The woman was in her 20s, with pink flowing hair. She stuck out due to the hair, even more so since her coat was a bright yellow.Siyeon lunged, pushing the woman against the wall.A small whimper, but no screams for help. “Oh no,” the woman said, cutely shaped lips falling open and her big eyes widening. She was beautiful, Siyeon noted. “Are you going to bite me? That would be awful.” She spoke in a fake scared tone, baring her long neck. What the fuck.“It would be such a shame if you bit me down and drained some of my blood. Absolutely horrible.”In confusion Siyeon released the woman, her own mouth agape as she tried to understand what was happening. How did she know what Siyeon was? Did the woman think it was some weird prank?Maybe that was it, in today’s day and age anyone could find themselves unknowingly caught in a prank.Siyeon hissed, her teeth coming out and she grabbed the other again, using her own body to press her against the brick wall. The pink haired woman’s pupils dilated.“I can’t believe vampires exist and I’m about to be eaten,” her voice was shaking, but not in fear. “What a shame.”Siyeon took a whiff and then stiffened: arousal.“You- You’re horny?”Now the woman was smiling, smirking almost. “Yes. Are you gonna feed on me or not? I don’t have all day.”“You’re not afraid I will kill you?”Now she laughed, loudly. “Have you asked yourself how I knew you were a vampire?”Siyeon blinked, her hands squeezing around the thin wrists she held up against the wall.“I’m a witch. You think I wouldn’t know when a vampire is hunting me?”A witch. Siyeon jumped back as if burnt; no one fucked with witches; she herself had had some bad runins in the past.“So, are you gonna bite me and then hopefully fuck me, or are you just gonna be staring all day?”“Is this a trick?” Siyeon had personally known vampires dying to witches who had spelled their own blood to be toxic.“I can assure you we’ll both get what we want and walk away satisfied. I’ll even cook up some eggs if you stay until the morning.”Maybe it was dangerous, but Siyeon was intrigued by the witch now. If she died, at least it would be an interesting way to go.“Lead the way, little witch.”She smiled. “It’s Gahyeon.”“Siyeon.”This evening would definitely be interesting.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
“Leave.”Siyeon hesitated, eyes on the hands holding her arm. She was being told to leave, yet the hands were begging her to stay.“Leave and never come back.”The words sounded hard, yet the tone was soft and broken. Needy. Asking for affection and love.“I-““I said leave!” Tears were streaming the face she loved so much, eyes red and swollen. The yell made her take a step back, the hands on her arm tightening their grip.“Then let me go if you want me to leave.”It was like the younger woman had not realised what her hands were doing, eyes staring down at them incredulously. As if burned, she suddenly let go.Heart shaking, her own cheeks growing wet, Siyeon took a few steps towards the door, but arms wound around her waist, halting her from getting too far.“Don’t leave me.” The tone was hard, almost unforgiving. Demanding.Siyeon instantly spun around in the arms holding her, wrapping her own around the smaller frame and hugging the woman close.Their relationship was in pieces, had been for years.Yet neither could let go.
