Unconventional nonetheless. Nothing about the two of you being together made any sense. He was a man out of time and now you where a woman currently running out of time. But somehow you were together. In the mess and chaos of it all.At the end of the day you prayed that this moment would stay burned into your memory.Wakanda was beautiful you’ve never seen the sky painted so beautifully. Defeat was not a option for him. He came up with a million plans on how you all may be able to make it through, but he was given the same result every time.Half the world would be gone within the snap of two fingers.This wasn’t like the war for him. It meant much more. Just when he was on the brink of happiness. He could see the sun rising with you standing in the middle of it. Everything he never thought he could have he had it for just one moment and now. The rug was being pulled from under his feet yet again.The fight was too large. The debt was high. So instead of fighting Steve did the one thing you asked of him, he stayed.Now here he was sitting next to you by the river. Wishing he had a pencil and a sketchbook so he could capture this moment and hold onto it just a little while longer before everything faded away.The sun set danced across your skin. Casting a angel like glow that shined softly around you. This is all the two of you could ask for. One day of peace before it was all over.“Do you think will find each other after all of this? “ Steve was troubled by the thought of being separated from you. He didn’t know what to expect with the unexpected.“I don’t think we will. I know we will.”“I’m staying right beside you through it all. This isn’t the end of us.” Steve pulled you closer. He wanted to remember how you felt in his arms. Your optimism is what caught his attention in the first place when all hell broke loose you still remained calm. He found solace in you.

The two of you stayed at the river. No words were spoken, already sharing every feeling. Declaring every word of love you could before it happened.And then it did. Your could feel it coming there was no use of running from it no use of hiding. You asked Steve to hold you tighter before you slipped through his arms. And so he did.He watched you slip through his fingers. Ceasing to exist. And just like the block of the eye you where a memory. And half of the universe gone with it.|
