**Introduction**"Okay , what is going on? Everytime you see Cruella or Ursula , you start acting weird."Emma finally asked , David frowned."What are you talking about , Emma?""Don't do that , David , don't act like I crazy. You know what I'm talking about and I would rather you just refuse to answer my question , than talk to me like I'm stupid."Emma almost snapped , she was getting sick of that shit. If you don't want to talk about things , fine.She understood that well enough , everybody had a past and there was some things that happened in it you didn't always want to talk about. Gods knew she had plenty one of her own and she rarely wanted to talk about it. Talking to her like she was dumb and outright lying to her , however , that was a different story. That , she was not okay with.They were all adults here , she had a almost FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD kid. She would appreciate not being treated like one , thank you very much."I don't think you're crazy or stupid Emma , I just don't know what you're talking about. Me and your mother aren't acting weird , we just don't like how our town has become a host for all these Villains is all..."David said , awkwardly without looking at her. One of his tells. Emma looked at him , stopping in her tracks."If they are trying to redeem themselves , I wouldn't technically consider them Villains. Look at Regina , she's changed and she was one of the worst ones! Why can't other people change , if she can?"Emma didn't like that close-minded view , people often forgot what kind of life she used to live. She may be the Savior , but once upon a time ; she sat behind bars and while she was charged for a crime she did not commit , she had done plenty of things she did not get caught for and that was probably some sort of karma type punishment there.She remembered a time when she was in a position in her life that people like Snow and David would have looked down their nose at her , she remembered what it was like to be living out on the streets and doing what she had to do to survive to the next day. It wasn't always pretty , it wasn't always good and she did things she was not proud of.Hell , her son came from her doing things she was not proud of! Her son came from doing things she wasn't proud of , in the crime scene of another thing she did that she was not proud of.Had just a few things in her life gone the slightest bit differently , she herself maybe could have been considered a Villain by Storybrooke people's standards.There were times she had thought like a Villain and some of the things she had done could have been considered taboo for a "hero" , while acting as the Savior. The world wasn't as black and white as her parents or she had noticed more , her mother wanted to make it out to be.Emma believed (almost) everybody deserved a second chance , well , she did now. At that thought , her mind drifted to an old friend she had not thought of in many years.She thought of the friend who deserved a second chance more than anybody Emma had ever met in her life and she refused to give it to her , she did that girl dirty because she had been a dumb kid that knew no better. And by the time she got older and started learning , she never did grow the courage to reach out to her (ex) friend.Lily.It had been years since she allowed that name to cross her mind , having found it to be too painful to think of her. Her biggest regret was getting on the bus that awful night , the last time they saw each other. She should have stayed with Lily , she should have calmed down and talked to her. They could have stuck together and helped each other , but Emma had been too quick to judge and too harsh.There was a time Lily was Emma's best (technically only) friend in the world and now , she couldn't tell you if she was even alive or not. Emma blinked away the tears that could have easily fallen at that thought and pushed down the sudden panic she felt , at the mere concept that Lily could have been dead for x amount of years and she not have a clue of it. Reality was cruel , sometimes.She clenched her fists , setting her face determinedly."I don't want to hear anymore of this talk of Villains and I don't want to hear anymore about how dangerous and how evil our new town guests are , got it?""They are dangerous and they are evil , Emma , not everyone can be like Regina. Regina is a special case , she had Henry to turn her around and it took a lot more work than some of these people are willing to put in.""David , you put a sword in your hand and with enough anger behind it , you could be labelled a dangerous and evil in somebody's book."Emma pointed out , her anger growing. She didn't know these people , other than the classic stories based off of them over the years. But she knew Regina decided to give them a chance and she trusted Regina and her judgement , she wasn't going to stand here and listen to David bad mouth that decision."And you're right , Regina is special and she did work hard. She knows these people and she made the decision to trust them and I trust her , so back off and let it go."Emma started walking off , David frowned."Where are you going?""To greet the new comers , you're more than welcome to join!"The look of terror on David's face would have been funny , if she didn't see how pale he had gotten. He reached out and grabbed her wrist , gripping it so tight that it was painful."No. Just...trust me. Stay away from them , they're bad news.""Dav-Dad , you don't act this way , about anybody else. Might I remind you Hook is technically what would have been considered a Villain himself?"Emma pointed out , trying to gently tug her wrist free."Something happened , between the four of you. Something bad. You need to tell me what it was."David looked torn and he opened his mouth several times to speak , before closing it firmly and shaking his head."I can't. Em. Just let it go , please."He said this so quietly Emma almost didn't catch it and until she nodded slowly , he didn't let her go.Emma felt eyes on her and she looked over her shoulder , to see a curious Cruella and Ursula watching them from across the Diner."Dad , let's go get our lunch , I won't bother them. They're eating , we can go to the station and eat. It's not big deal , I'm a little too swamped to worry about anything extra right now ; anyways."She nudged David who had noticed the stares , too. He glared at them with his look of warning he always got , when it came to his family and what he viewed as threats.Emma was too busy trying to take his attention off of the (former) Villainesses , she didn't notice the mocking kiss Cruella blew at David and the smirk Ursula's lips twisted into."Dad. Go."David shook his head and put a hand on Emma's back , guiding his daughter up to the counter. She let him do this , if only to stop a confrontation she sensed building to happen.As they were walking out , Emma sent one last curious glance at the duo who now had their heads ducked and were laughing over something.She made a decision that she did not say aloud , for obvious reasons. After she managed to get off work and away from her parent's sight , she was going to have that chat with the mysterious two women who just crossed the town line and she was going to get answers to her questions.If David wasn't willing to talk , maybe they would be. Villains , formerly or current status holders were always happy to recount the wrongs done to them or the issues they had with whatever supposed good person.The fact that her parents were acting shady , lying , and not willing to talk about things told Emma right off they did something and whatever it was wasn't exactly good. Emma wanted to know on a scale , just how bad they were.

****Chapter 1**** //will have adult content , 18+//"You are not going to meet with them alone , Emma ,"Regina said , firmly. Emma rolled over and wrapped her arms around her waist , resting her chin on the older woman's shoulder."Haven't you learned by now , you can't tell me what I can and can't do. I don't listen very well.""I told you what to do and what not to do just fine , a few minutes ago and you listened very well."Regina purred , turning to meet Emma's lips in a kiss. Emma eagerly returned it , her thin lips splitting into a grin against the Queen's plump ones."That's different , this is the one setting I enjoy taking orders from you. And only because I get something out of it ,""And just what is that?""I get to watch Ms. Always Put Together come undone , and all because of me."Emma's back had bruises , where Regina's heels had dug into them. She wore them proudly , her Majesty was a tough one to please and she was extremely proud of her accomplishments. According to Regina , very few people had."You're the only one that ever knew what they were doing enough , to make Ms. Put Together come apart. Now , stop trying to distract from what we were really talking about. We had our little break , it's time to get serious again."When they had serious conversations , Emma would often trail off into either another conversation in between or start making jokes and trying to lighten the mood because it was really hard for her to just sit still and process the serious.Regina used to get aggravated , when Emma would have her 'breaks'. But the (former) Queen had learned how to handle it , laugh with her and divert back to the original topic. Let her have her moment , don't even point out that Emma was doing it and gently lead her back to what they were supposed to be talking about.Emma sighed , burying her face in the crook of Regina's neck. She hated looking at someone , when she was talking serious. She could do it , but she didn't like to and Regina was the only person in the world she felt safe enough with to give into the urges of ducking her head and avoiding the eye contact.Regina hated when people didn't look her in the face speaking , but this was another thing she learned to tolerate from Emma. She had to understand that Emma wasn't being disrespectful or rude --wasn't trying to be , at least--it was just how Emma was and her heart melted to think that she was the only person that got to see that side of her. Very few people showed Regina their soft and vulnerable side , even before she became the Evil Queen."I have to talk to them , Gina , they are the only people that know what is going on that will tell me about it.""And what makes you so sure that they will talk or that they will tell you the truth? I let them cross that town line , purely out of an open mind because of my own experience. But I will tell you right now , I don't trust either one of them and especially not alone with you."Regina stated , bluntly. Emma rubbed her stomach , nuzzling into her neck."I have to try. I know , but you need to act like you do trust them outside of these little private chats. I kind of made a big deal about it , when I was trying to wear David down into spilling his guts."Regina rolled her eyes , reaching up to pat Emma's head."Alright , I will put on a good show. Nowhere near as good as the one , where nobody has any idea we are sleeping together ; but I will be a good little actress and pretend like I trust those two old cows.""I don't know if it's that we put on that good of a show so much , or that everyone is really stupid in this town. I thought my love for you was very obvious , that and the carpet burn."There Emma went again , Regina snorted."And those looks you give me , when you think nobody is looking.""Hey , you give the looks back."Emma pulled away from her hiding spot in Regina's neck , to look up at her. Regina turned around in her arms , wrapping her arms around the younger woman's neck."I do , that's how I see you doing them. I am grateful for those looks , they were a big part in what lead us to where we are right now. I wouldn't have my happy ending , if it weren't for those looks."Regina wasn't talking about a happy ending in the bedroom either , she had thought over things and she genuinely believed that she finally had what was meant to be her happy ending.It took a lot of work and patience on Regina's part , she almost gave up and she was so thankful that she didn't.Fate had a funny way of working , she never thought for a single second that her happy ending would come in the form of a woman with a goofy grin and a crap car ; or a little boy with a love of stories. But to be fair , who would have really thought she would find love and happiness with her ex-step daughter's daughter? From the way Emma told it in her jokes , that stuff only happened in porn!And now , she was doing it. Regina was losing track of the topic , but at least she did it in her head. Emma just blabbered on , she kept her wayward thoughts to herself!"I don't know , I think I could have gotten you to let me in the bedroom to let you have a happy ending much earlier on , if I would have gone and asked. Before you loved me , I think you would have fucked me.""Oh , yes , definitely. There were several times early on I would have loved to grab you by the hair and put that smart mouth of your's to good use."Regina growled , thinking back to when they first met and how equally frustrated and horny the Savior used to make her. Oh , how the Evil Queen would have loved to have gotten a hold of Emma...she shook her head."Don't think I hadn't thought of it , back then. If I had known you would have let me , I would have come into that office and put Graham to shame and shown that stupid mirror why he really could never have you."Emma's eyes darkened with lust , Regina grabbed her chin firmly."Back to the original topic , Miss Swan ,"Regina pushed Emma to lay on her back , climbing on top of her."But this is such a fun distraction ,""If you finish talking serious with me , we can have so much more fun , my dear."Regina knew how to get Emma back on track , Emma grinned and put her hands on the Queen/Mayor's sides and greedily ran her hands over the brunette's curves."Alright , alright. I need to talk to them , Gina , I have to see if there is any way that they would tell me the truth. From the way my parents are acting , they did something really bad and I can see Cruella and Ursula being willing to take the chance to rat them out."Emma argued her point , Regina looked down at her."We will ask the Charmings to spend some time with their grandson , he was wanting to try to get them to let him stay with them and see Neal ; this will be a good excuse to make them get over themselves and do it. While they are distracted , we will talk to Cruella and Ursula.""We?""I told you , you are not talking to them alone.""What if they find out about us?""If what your parents did is as bad as you think , I would dare them to try and say one damn word about us!"Regina huffed , Emma grinned. Emma had wanted to come out , for a long time. Regina never would let her , because she knew Snow White/Mary Margaret and she did not want Emma to lose her parents again. Emma still hadn't gotten over losing them , the last time. But with that said , Regina had a gut feeling that whatever this awful secret the Charmings were hiding may be bad enough that Emma would let them go."What do you think it is?""I don't know , but I do know that I think we have finished our conversation and come to an understanding. Now , we can have some fun."Regina smirked , Emma had been such a good girl listening and finishing the adult talk...now she could have her reward.The Queen crawled up Emma's body , going to straddle her face. Emma grabbed her hips and pulled her the rest of the way down , Regina groaned at the feel of the younger woman's tongue getting to work."Sometimes , I think you enjoy this a little bit more than I do!"Emma didn't even bother trying to respond , it would have done her no good--Regina always got onto her , for talking while she was eating.....

****Chapter 2****"Ma , do you want to go with me and Grandpa to practice with the bows and arrow?"Henry asked , Emma shared a look with Regina and shook her head."No , kid , I gotta get caught up on some paper work and your mom is supervising me because she doesn't trust me to do it and do it right.""I'm tired of coming behind her and having to finish the work , for her."Regina should have won a medal , for not smirking. Emma stuck her tongue out at her , Henry grinned."So , what you're saying is mom grounded you?""Yeah , she punished me alright."Emma ruffled Henry's hair , then pulled him in for a quick hug."Be good for Grandpa , don't shoot him in the butt or anything.""Miss Swan!""Oh , come on , it had to be said. Give a thirteen-year-old kid a bow and arrow , everything but the actual target is a target.""Speaking from experience , are you?""Yeah. But it was a bb gun , instead of a bow and arrow. My tenth Foster dad --or was it thirteenth? whatever , doesn't matter! Anyways , they gave me a bb gun and I ended up shooting them in the butt."Regina frowned , at how casually Emma talked about all the different homes she had been in. She didn't know which hurt more , thinking of all the people that gave Emma up and made her life so horrible or how Emma just acted like it wasn't a big deal."You did it on purpose , didn't you , Ma?"Emma grinned , shrugging."Off the record , yes. On record , absolutely not. I just had really bad aim , my hand slipped , that's my story , and I'm sticking to it!""What a wonderful thing to teach our son , Emma ,"Regina was not amused , but Henry seemed like he was pretty happy and that was good enough for Emma."Let's face it , every kid needs at least one stupid parent to set a bad example for the good and smart parent to tell them not to act like. Obviously , I was going to step up to that role."Emma was completely shameless here , she was born to be the 'fun guy' parent and this was one aspect of their weird little family that was kind of normal. Regina got to be the strict eat your vegetables and do your homework type , while Emma got to teach him how to get out of going to Juvy for shooting authority figures in the butt.Just being completely fair  , everyone should have expected this sort of thing from Emma. She gave birth chained to a bed with police surrounding the room , because she got knocked up and locked up. Did anybody really think for a single second that Emma was not going to be somewhat of a bad influence , at times?"Why can't we both just set good examples?""Regina , you literally used to rip people's hearts out , that idea went out the window a long time ago. Take what you get and don't throw a fit."Regina rolled her eyes , but said nothing. Emma had a point and she knew it , Henry snickered."Oh , stop laughing and come over here and give me a hug , before your grandparents get here."Regina huffed , holding out her arms. She would have liked to have walked over and initiated the hug , but she was trying not to be so forceful. It was a simple thing , but it was important for her.The Queen wanted Henry to do things like this of his own choice , because he loved her and he wanted to show this affection. The entire first half of his life , Regina basically made him love her. She did not want to do that , not anymore. After that experience of actually keeping him hostage in their own home...that taught Regina a lesson , she did not want to be like her own mother. She did not want Henry to feel the way about her that she felt about Cora.Henry nearly knocked Regina over with the force of his hug , he wrapped his arms around her waist and he hugged her tight. Regina stumbled back and kind of stood there in shock , before she wrapped her arms back around him and hugged him back just as tightly. Her boy loved her , her heart was full.Regina looked up and saw Emma was smiling and giving her a thumbs up , she snorted. There was her goof ball , she shook her head.Henry's head was turned and his eyes were closed , so Regina risked blowing a kiss at Emma. If wasn't something she normally would have done at this point in her life , this was an act a more innocent Regina did back in the days of when she was younger and during Daniel's life time.Regina almost regretted doing such a silly thing , but Emma "caught" the kiss and stuffed it in her pocket and that made it worth it. Emma really was adorable , sometimes. Most times , Emma was a pain in the ass. But she had her cute moments.Henry pulled away and Regina sighed , she hadn't had a hug like that from him since he was a small child. That was the first real hug he had given her like that , since before Snow White/Mary Margaret introduced him to that damn book.Regina was grateful for the book because it brought on some much needed changes in herself and their town , plus it brought Emma into her life ; but she wouldn't go as far as to say she liked it. It had as many downsides as it did good , if you asked her. Losing her son was the biggest downside and she didn't know if she could ever get over that , that book created a wall between them and she was doing everything she could to break through it. Apparently , she was doing a decent job.Anyways."Neal threw a fit on us , while we were getting ready. So , Snow stayed home with him."David looked like he had been having a rough start to his day , Emma almost wanted to feel bad for him. The whole him lying and sneaking around and hovering over her , like a paranoid mother hen ruined any chances of it."See , that is where you mess up. He throws a fit and you coddle him ,"Regina started and David glared at her."I know you aren't talking to me , about coddling my child. You spoil Henry rotten , so just stop while you are ahead."Emma hated to admit it , but David had a point. She just looked away , humming and staying out of this one. Regina glared at her , Emma still didn't look that way. That was a nope , from her."Henry , we'll see you Sunday ,"Regina said , just closing that conversation. Emma was going to be a coward and look away , rather than contribute to the conversation or defend her."David , Regina seems like she coddles Henry to you , because you never raised me and you had no idea what a parent looked like. She is softer with Henry because of her past , but she doesn't spoil him anywhere near as bad as you do Neal.When Henry cries , she gives him the option to pout or get over it. She doesn't reward him with new toys and changing her entire schedule to fit around whatever will just make him shut up , like you and Mary Margaret do."Emma spoke up , surprising everyone and she did not stop there either."When he throws a fit walking out the door , she tells him to knock it off and makes him go anyways. You and Mary Margaret will literally cancel your plans or one of you stay home , because he decided to act like a brat and he continues to do so because you let him. So , just back off of Regina. Some things she does is spoiling him , don't get me wrong. But you know what? She can't help it , that's one of the only ways she knows to show love because her parents sucked the way you do!"Now , Emma was finished. Regina didn't know who was more stunned , out of the four of them."Emma , where did that come from?""I'm sick of all of you ganging up on Regina , she can make no comments at all without some smart ass comment about her. And if it's not spoiling Henry , it's some barb about the Evil Queen era. The rest of the world keeps on turning and you all are just stuck standing in one place , turn and move on!"Emma wasn't going to stand back and keep her mouth shut anymore , she decided that the minute she heard Regina's defeated sigh. Regina was her other half , whether these people knew it or not and she wasn't going to just let everybody treat her like crap. It was time somebody stand up for Regina , may as well be the one sleeping with her."Ma's right , leave Mom alone."Henry was tired of people attacking his mom , too. He just needed someone to give him the permission to say something , Emma opened that door and he walked on through it. He didn't want to cause problems with the family , Emma took care of that one. She started it , she could handle it. This would be why he thought she was the one destined to be the Savior. Well , this was one of many reasons,anyways.David could see he was in a spot with three against one and he would be man enough to admit to himself that Neal was a bit of a brat , so he just took the wise route and nodded to them shortly as he began leading Henry out of the driveway towards the car.Some small part of David wondered if he would be dealing with all this crap , if he had only stayed with Kathryn. Kathryn didn't love him , but she didn't attract all of these headaches! He would never say that to his wife , that was his own dark secret dream land and he would no sooner tell it than he would speak about what he and Snow did."Bye , Henry , love you!"Regina and Emma called after their son , at the same time. Henry looked over his shoulder and waved back , an innocent smile on his face.As soon as Henry and his grandfather disappeared , Regina crossed the distance over to Emma and grabbed her by the front of her shirt and pulled her down for a searing kiss."What was that all about?"Emma asked , once they pulled apart and she had a moment to breathe."Taking up for me , do it more often."Regina said , simply. Emma rubbed the back of her neck , smiling shyly."I plan to. I'm tired of listening to them talk to you like that.""Good , I'm tired of you letting them do it."Regina was honest , if nothing else. Emma nodded , sighing."It was hard for me , but I can get over it. If I lose people because I stand up for someone I care about , I didn't really need them.""I know it was , I get it. And you are correct , people that matter will understand and respect you enough not to do it. It took me a long time to learn that , too. Now , come on. We have a limited window of time , we need to find the Devil and her Sea Bitch before Hell claims them back."Regina patted Emma's hip , Emma brushed her hair back behind her ear."I love you.""I love you , too."Emma stared at her for a long minute , seeming to be having a moment of deep thought. Regina raised a brow , pulling away from her slightly."What is it , Emma?""You have a really big booger in your nose , right here."Emma pointed to where it was , Regina blushed and reached in her pocket for a handkerchief or a napkin or something to wipe it away."Is there really?!""Nah , I was just messing with you."..."Ow!"Regina slapped Emma upside the head lightly , glaring at her."Don't do that to me!""I forgot how vain you were!""I'm the Evil Queen , there isn't a version of a story out there where I am not concerned about my appearance. You can just forget about using that excuse Emma Swan!"Regina huffed , Emma grinned."True. Alright , enough. Let's go investigate this big secret the two most innocent people in this town are hiding."

****Chapter 3****"Miss Swan , we don't have a lot of time to mess around , could you please stop thinking about your stomach for a second?"Regina huffed , mocking being angry with Emma. In public , she still pretended like she didn't care as much for the blonde. Nobody questioned it , it helped them keep their situation private. Henry knew and that was all , Regina flat out refused to keep anymore secrets from her son and Emma actually agreed.Henry wasn't sure about their relationship , at first. Not because he wasn't okay with it , so much as he worried about if things went wrong. After being assured that they had shared a true love's kiss -- that was the kiss that had really woken him up two years ago-- he relaxed and he was happy to finally have two parents and for them to be together.Thankfully , the concept of two women being together wasn't a huge issue for Henry. Apparently , his little friend , Gretel had declared herself a lesbian and was seeing Jefferson's daughter. Like Regina and Emma , neither of those girls were jumping up to air their relationship to the public of Storybrooke. Just because sweet little Henry was accepting and had an open mind , that did not mean everybody else did.Not only could Emma lose her parents over something like this , Regina had no doubts these people would form a mob and go for her head again. Snow was the type that she could convince her people that Regina was still evil and she was trying to corrupt Emma or something , these town's folk would eagerly take a reason like that to get their pitchforks and torches out again.Eventually , they hoped to be able to come out. But not until Regina had really proven herself to all of these people and they had found a way to sort of slowly introduce their feelings , by gradually showing they were getting to care about each other outside of the privacy of their home. Oh , yeah , that was another thing-Emma moved into the Mansion with Regina and Henry , or she moved half of her things there and she actually stayed there whenever everyone thought she was staying at Granny's."I was hungry! I have to eat sometimes , Regina!"Emma said a little snappier than intended , she blushed and sent an apologetic look at the woman. Regina masked her hurt well , unfortunately and simply sighed. This time , it was a real sigh. By now , Emma could tell the difference."Very well , get your food and come on.""Do you want anything?""Just a coffee."Regina said , shortly. Emma took a deep breath and walked over to her , quickly pecking her cheek."I'm sorry , Gina , I didn't mean to be that hateful."She whispered , apologetically. Regina's eyes widened for a second , Emma kissed her in public. Despite her surprise , Regina's lips twitched into a small smile."It's alright , but you have been doing that a lot here lately. So , please just me a little more mindful."Regina would only ask once , she was not going back to a life where she allowed her partner to talk to her like a dog. She didn't do anything to earn that attitude , she was not going to stand there and let Emma talk to her like she did. It was not okay and it was not healthy , for either of them."I don't know what's going on , maybe it's stress. I just get these...random moods , stuff just hits me wrong sometimes. I'm sorry , it won't happen again."Emma apologized again , squeezing her hand. Regina squeezed back , looking to see if anybody was around and paying attention."Whatever it is is , if it happens again , I will spank that attitude out of you. If you're going to act like a brat , I am going to treat you like one."Regina smirked , when she saw Emma's eyes light up."Go get your food , Em-ma ,""Alright , come on , there's a big bathroom stall--""I meant your actual food , go get that grilled cheese I know you are dying for. And really , a bathroom stall? Come on , Miss Swan , you know better than that."Regina huffed , unable to believe Emma even tried that. She was a Queen , she didn't do...that in a bathroom stall."Actually , I was kind of craving lasagna today."Regina looked at Emma funny , since when did the blonde just go out and decide while passing Granny's that she wanted lasagna?"If I had known you wanted that , I would have made some. You know mine is better than that old bag's."Regina crossed her arms , Emma grinned."Everything of your's is better , trust me. But I didn't know I wanted it , it was just one of those out of the blue things. Are you sure you don't want anything?"Emma was heading towards the door , Regina shook her head."As long as you know it and no , I just want a coffee!"Emma Swan had never just decided out of the blue that she wanted a fucking lasagna , it was *always* grilled cheese and hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnamon.Regina would worry someone was impersonating her or something , if she hadn't of listened to Emma do her regular morning shower concert. Every single morning , at 8:30 on the dot , Emma hopped in her shower and started blasting that gods awful music of her's and sang along to "Crazy Train" by that Ozzy Osbourne fellow and she butchered it even worse than he did! (Ozzy forgive me , for insulting you ; it wasn't me , it was Regina! 😭😭😭)Emma came back out , carrying three take-out containers and two cups ; wearing a sheepish smile. She handed Regina her coffee , then readjusted her hold on the other things she had in her arms."What did she do? Give you a whole lasagna and cut it up onto individual slices?"Regina questioned , grabbing the other cup she could smell and tell was hot chocolate with -melted- whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkled in it."No , she had some pies while I was in there and they smelled good. I have a weird thing about my desserts touching , I don't want to be tasting blue berry while I'm digging into a peach pie.""You got lasagna and two pieces of pie?""Lasagna , mashed potatoes , and two pieces of pie."Emma corrected , Regina groaned."You are sleeping in the guest room tonight ,"Emma got gassy , when she ate all of those things. Regina was not sleeping next to that combo , she barely survived the nights it was just the lasagna!"I'm okay with that , because if this pie is anywhere near as good as it smells...it won't be the only trip I'd have made to Granny's today."Emma informed her , Regina rolled her eyes."If you wanted pie , I could have made you one of mine.""The day is still young ,""You are going to turn into a pie , Emma!""Hey! Don't knock it! Pie is delicious , it's warm and gooey and everybody loves it."Emma defended herself and her love of pie , Regina shook her head."My eyes are going to roll back into my head and get stuck!""I dunno , I've tried to accomplish that with you and come close many times ; but it never actually happened. Last night , I thought it might happen. Some goals are just unreachable!""Miss Swan!"Regina just took off walking on that one , she was not participating in this conversation in this public of a space any longer!"Would it make you feel better , if I say I'll keep trying?!""Ignoring you!""And if I don't succeed this time , can I at least get a sticker ; for participation?!"Regina couldn't help herself , she started to laugh and she had to cover her mouth to stifle the laughter. This was one of the best things about being with Emma , she made her laugh. Even when Regina was younger and before her mother and Rumpelstiltskin completely ruined her , she never let loose like this."Come on , Miss Swan!"Emma grinned , carefully carrying her food and trying to catch up with Regina. She couldn't wait to solve this mystery with her parents and put it behind them for good , so she could talk to Regina about some more...happy news. Or she thought it was happy news , anyways. She hoped it was going to be happy news. Henry knew--again , they did not keep big secrets from their son anymore-- and he was happy , so she really hoped that Regina would feel the same way.

They run faster , when I am alone than when I have David with me."Emma tried an embarrassing amount of times to talk to these women without her parents , the very few times she was outside of Regina's home and they left her alone. When Emma was with Regina and she was going to take a shit , those were her few windows without her parents shoved up her hind end and it was only because she threatened violence otherwise. Her Gina and her potty time were private and not for prying Charming eyes , damn it!"Have you ever thought that maybe something didn't actually happen between them and your parents , they might just not like you?"Regina asked , teasing her. Emma pouted and Regina almost swore she saw those green eyes shining with...tears? Since when did Emma Swan cry? Other than those therapy sessions she pretended she didn't have with Archie , when she picked Henry up and stayed behind for two hour chats ; anyways? Before she could ask about it, Emma was blaring the sirens and slowing down the car."No , they're hiding something. They probably don't like me , but there is still something going on. Come on , Madame Mayor , we're going to talk to the newest town crazies.""Emma--""Come on , going with or without you "Regina sighed , opening the door and rushing behind her girlfriend. A downside of Emma , she liked to get ahead of herself and she just walked into things with little preparation.Emma was so lucky the fates were kind enough to give her Regina , to be right behind her and look out for her. If it weren't for Regina , Emma would have been dead so many times! And yes , Regina realized the irony of their situation. Regina used to be a reason she almost died and now , she was a reason Emma was alive."Good afternoon , Sheriff ,"Cruella De Ville greeted Emma with what she apparently thought was a charming smile (get it? Charming , for a Charming! 🥁) , as she rolled down the window."Your Majesty or would it be Mayor , now?""I feel like you should be able to call me whatever you want to , I have come up with several names for the two of you--none of them nice."Regina sassed , coming to stand beside Emma close enough that she can wrap one arm protectively around her without it being noticeable.Emma subtly leaned into the arm Regina had resting on her back , a lot more grateful for the closeness and the offer of back-up than she would ever be willing to admit.While Emma was trying to work on herself and do better with things like admitting she liked having someone else around and help and what not , she still wasn't at any points where she was going to lay down and cry for someone to hold her hand or anything."It really is just so lovely to talk to you again , Regina ,"Ursula said , sarcasm dripping off of every word."Sweet as this reunion is , I didn't pull you over for you three to have tea time on the side of the road. Both of you , get out of the car. Now."Emma wanted them out of that car , so she could talk to them without them being able to hit that gas pedal and leave. Cruella and Ursula shared an annoyed look and lingered , just for the sole purpose of making sure Emma saw it as they unbuckled the seat belts they had only just put on and began exiting the vehicle.Some of Emma's old instincts kicked in , when she saw the two women shutting the doors and stepping away from the car. Old Emma begged her to forget about her task and to say to Hell with her responsibilities , get in that nice car and take off. Grown up Emma knew better than to listen , but she would have been lying to say she wasn't tempted."I'm searching their car ,"Regina declared , suddenly. Emma almost frowned , that wasn't part of the plan. But the looks on the two supposedly reformed Villainess's faces told Emma that Regina was making the right call , they had that look of panic that only crossed your face ; if you were up to no good."W-why would you do a thing like that?"Ursula stuttered a little , earning her a harsh jab to the ribs from Cruella's boney elbow."Because I know you two and I don't trust either one of you. If you two are as good of girls as you claim to be , you will stand there and behave yourselves for Miss Swan while I look in your vehicle."Regina challenged them , practically begged these two women to dare to show their horns right now. They were coming into this town , playing good girl for a reason and Regina got a strong feeling there were hints to that reason in the car. Emma was seeking answers to a whole other question , while Regina was digging out answers to her own.Yes , Regina was curious as to what dark secret Miss Sunshine Snow White and her perfect Boy Toy Charming were hiding. With that said , Regina was a lot more curious why these two had this sudden desire to enter her town from the modern world outside ; after so many years and right after a certain impish 'friend' of their's was cast out on his ass. What are the chances that the two things were not related? And how much of that had to do with the Charmings little secret?Regina dug around in the middle console between the driver and the passenger sides , she found a black box and immediately opened it. She recognized that box , that was one of those fancy boxes in Gold's pawnshop. This little venture into her neck of the woods *was* related to Gold somehow , she knew it! Her jaw dropped , as soon as she saw what rested in the black velvet cushion inside--a purple rattle with a Dragon's claw shape for a handle."Everything alright , Regina? You've been quiet for a minute."Emma wanted to question these women , but she was more concerned with her girlfriend at the moment. Regina didn't just go looking into something and not make comments , for nothing. If Regina was digging around and she was quiet , something was wrong."What the Hell is this?"Regina snarled , climbing out of the car and thrusting the rattle out for Cruella , Ursula , and Emma to see."It's a rattle , what's the big deal , Regina? Maybe one of them is expecting ,"Emma tried to give them the benefit of a doubt that the rattle wasn't to do with anything devious , she put her hands on her hips in a way that allowed her to place her hands over her stomach subtly."This isn't just any rattle , Emma , look at the design. It's a Dragon's claw , that's not just some toy you pick up from the store. That was designed personally , I want to know why the Hell it is in this car right now."Regina glared at Cruella and Ursula , daring them to screw around right now."Well , it seems the cat really is sort of out of the bag , now."Cruella sighed , dramatically. Ursula nodded , not looking all together too bothered."I agree , friend , I guess it's time we finally sit down and have that chat the Savior has been dying to have with us. Let's go back to the cabin , while lover boy is gone stalking his ex. Trust me , you're both going to want to sit down for this one."Cruella smirked and added on , her eyes glinting wickedly.'Mommy and Daddy' have been very bad."

****Chapter 4****"Gold's cabin , seriously? I knew it , I knew it was too coincidental that you two morons wanted to come into my town after he was kicked out of it!""Gina , maybe save calling them morons , for *after* we get them talking."Emma wasn't usually what anybody would consider the voice of reason , except for when it came to stuff like this. Both due to her history of being a hoodlum --Regina was the one that came up with that term for her past self , she just left it at that--and being a Bounty Hunter and now Sheriff , she had to be able to keep herself calm long enough to get what she needed out of the situation.The Savior was able to talk to just about anybody , whether they were good or bad. Unless you personally offended her in some way or hurt one of her loved ones , Emma could get along just fine.Emma was willing to do whatever it was she had to do , to get whatever results she needed. Regina could actually learn from her here , Madame Mayor had a temper and it was easily set off. This was one field in life Regina lacked control and that was why she let her emotions get the best of her and lost her shit so easily , because she hated that she did not know how to ground herself and be patient.Regina could threaten anything out of just about anybody and make an ass out of herself and while that sometimes got at least some of the desired results , Emma preferred her ways. The thing about threatening and bullying people , you didn't always get the truth or the whole truth and there was generally a higher level of deception.Emma knew what it was like to be the one with the finger pointed at you and the harsh words and actions pushing you to do or say whatever the other person wanted , she would admit that she would say whatever it took-whether it was true or not , just to get those people off her back.With Emma's way of doing things , she treated these people like friends and she didn't accuse them or get too trigger happy ; people relaxed and she got almost all of what she was looking for. Don't get her wrong , some people were assholes and you had to be a 'tough guy' with them and Emma was willing to be that. Emma just did not enjoy having to be that guy , Emma liked being able to solve things without whipping out a g!n or in Regina's case , a fireball!"Gina?"Ursula and Cruella smirked , Regina rolled her eyes."Em-ma , did you have to call me that in front of them?""Gina , we are sitting in Gold's cabin and we now know they definitely snuck him over the town line , added to we know they are actively plotting something big and it isn't a birthday party. I just don't see any point in acting in front of them."Emma shrugged , Regina made a face."I don't normally say this , but you may be right."Regina leaned into Emma's side , letting the blonde wrap an arm around her shoulders."The Evil Queen and the Savior?"Ursula grinned , Emma shrugged."Do you see the Evil Queen? Why wouldn't the Savior want to be with her?"Emma leaned her head against Regina's , Regina rolled her eyes yet again."You can have a slumber party and gossip with the Sea Bitch later , we came here for a reason and it was not to discuss our relationship.""Oh , come on , the last time I got to discuss our relationship was when I had to find a way to tell Henry I was sleeping with his mom!""You better not have told him that , in your talk!""Gina , he's not a little kid anymore , and besides ,he can hear you. Your time with Hunter boy gave him the sex talk , a long time ago."Regina flushed deeply , the three other women in the room snickered."He still doesn't need to hear that sort of thing from his parent!""He doesn't need to hear his parent having the aforementioned sex either , but that doesn't stop you from being that loud!"Emma didn't actually mention their sex life to Henry , she just liked getting Regina started. As mentioned before , Regina had a temper that was easily set off and Emma thought an angry Regina was a hot Regina. Keep in mind , Emma fell in love with her when Regina was still in her Evil Queen/Bitchy Mayor era."There is a way to fix that , Miss Swan!"And that threat told Emma to stop while she was ahead , Emma pouted."I'll shut up , now...""That's a first!"Regina sassed , crossing her arms. Emma just grinned and turned back to the women they originally came to talk to , before they got carried away."Are you two married?""No ,""You act like it. Believe me , I have been married enough times to know!"Cruella huffed , Emma held Regina tighter."Practicing , for the day I do marry her. Believe me , I *will* be marrying her."Regina looked surprised , they had never talked about things like that. After Leopold , Regina thought she would never want to get married again. But the thought of being married to Emma and being officially tied together , making that commitment...the idea did not sound so bad."You know she's the Evil Queen , right?"Ursula asked , looking at Emma like she was crazy."Evil Queen , Madame Mayor , whatever she is , she's my Gina and I love her no matter what."Emma said , simply and added on."When I fell in love with this woman , she hated my guts and she was dead set on getting rid of me--she tried to poison me with an apple pie and the only reason I didn't eat it and die was because I ended up eating *her* instead. I knew she was trying to poison me and I still kept coming around!"Emma felt the need to stress this because she felt like that was the only way people would be able to grasp the concept that Emma knew exactly what she was partnered up with and she did , one hundred percent accept it. It made her sound like a total idiot , but most things in life did and she could live with it."I mellowed out a little , after she ate me out. Turns out , someone that knows what the Hell they are doing works wonders for toning down your frustration."Regina shrugged , Emma puffed out her chest proudly."And she can't threaten me , it never goes the way she wants. Our first time was when she tried to poison me , what do you think happens the times she threatens me with a fire ball?"Emma snickered , Regina rolled her eyes."You know that is extremely unhealthy ,""Yes , Archie , I know , Archie. But to be fair , I am not like that with anybody else. I'm only like that with you because I felt an instant thing for you , the minute I looked into your eyes ; I knew you were it , or I wouldn't have put up with half the shit I did."Emma informed her , turning to kiss Regina's temple. Regina couldn't help herself , she smiled a little."You're going to make the two morons sick , if you keep talking like that. The Sea Bitch is looking a little greener than usual , Miss Swan.""Get her a bucket , then. I will never stop talking about you like that. But I will wait until later to finish talking like that , because I really want to know what the Hell is going on with my parents.""Oh , yes , that! They kidnapped Maleficent's baby and sent it through a portal , to this world. That is why we were in this modern world , we jumped in after that baby ; like the...heroes that we are."Cruella just ripped the band-aid off and blurted it out , figuring that was the only way to stop her from having to watch the Queen and her lover babble on about their damned true love and what not. Ursula gave her a look , for leaving out a huge chunk of information. That whole hero part she threw in there was not true , not even in the slightest.What Cruella neglected to add in there was that once they went through that portal , they abandoned that poor child because Cruella nor Ursula gave a shit about that kid. Cruella was perfectly content to leave that baby to die on the side of the road , just so long as she didn't have to put up with it or face the angry mother.The only reason they were there involved in the situation at all was because the wicked duo had a deal with Maleficent , while everyone was trying to avoid Regina's Dark Curse. But Cruella decided that piece of information was better left out , it didn't make them look all that great and they were trying to distract from how bad of people they were for the time being. Ursula wasn't really that bad , honestly ; most of her worst moments were when she was influenced by Cruella , Cruella had a way of ruining those around her and she was disgustingly proud of the fact."THEY KIDNAPPED A BABY?!"Emma lost her cool on that one , she felt sick and wrapped her arms around her stomach. Her parents , her *good* and perfect charming parents stole someone's child and yeeted it off into a portal to another world."Yeah. They threatened to drop it and make scrambled eggs with it , if Maleficent fought back."Ursula added , unfazed.Emma felt bile rising in her throat and these women weren't even done , yet."Want to know the really bad part?"Cruella and Ursula leaned forward , a little too pleased to reveal this piece of information."They stole that poor , innocent child to pour their own child's darkness into that egg. They had been warned that this spell could k!ll that baby and they didn't care , they did it anyways because it didn't matter if dear Maleficent lost her child ; so long as their own survived and was perfect and healthy and completely pure."Emma covered her mouth with a hand and rushed out the door , Regina wasted no time jumping up and following after her. Regina was sick at the news too , but she wasn't quite to that point and Emma normally would not have been either. Emma could handle this sort of stuff , her stomach was not normally that weak. Forget this mess for a second with the Charmings and her old scaly friend , she needs to find out what is wrong with Emma.

****Chapter 5****Regina got out the door just in time to see Emma hunched over , wretching and throwing up every bit of what she had just eaten on the way there. She came up behind her girlfriend , pulling blonde hair back into a ponytail with one hand while the other began rubbing soothing circles on her back."Emma , are you alright?"Once Emma finished emptying the contents of her stomach , she wiped her mouth roughly on the back of her hand and let out a humorless laugh."Did you hear what they did?! No , I'm not alright! My parents are psychopaths! Baby-knapping psychopaths!"Emma's eyes glowed a toxic green color , as she ranted. Regina stepped back , she had only seen one other person do that while angry--Maleficent."Emma , your eyes ,""Yes , Gina , I know you love my eyes. But now is not the time , this isn't one of those bad times we can joke and flirt and distract from it. What they did...Gina , how could someone do that to a baby?!"Emma looked ready to cry , Regina sighed."I do love your eyes , princess , but that wasn't what I was getting at. Your eyes just glowed , in a way I have only ever seen one other person do and I think there may be more to this little tale than we are being told."Regina said gently , suddenly wishing she had a mirror to show Emma what was happening to her. It wasn't just her eyes now , she swore she saw a light pattern of scales forming at Emma's jaw."What are you talking about , Gina?"Emma frowned , pulling out her phone and clicking on her camera. She turned it front facing , to see what Regina was talking about and she stumbled back a little in surprise. Luckily , Regina was right there to catch and steady her."What the Hell?"Emma mumbled , Regina sighed."Maybe the not so-Charmings are not your parents , after all. Emma , I have only ever seen Maleficent's eyes glow like that and in all honesty , you do share more likeness to her than you do to either Snow White or David."Regina suggested , Emma frowned."Gina , that ...that's , crazy. Isn't it? Cruella and Ursula said they sent that baby off with all this darkness inside it , I think we would have been able to tell , if that was me."Emma didn't sound as sure as she had wanted to , Regina sighed."We wouldn't be able to tell , if there was more than one child in that egg. If there were two children in that egg , it is very well possible that the darkness could have been evenly split up."Regina used to think Snow White incapable of anything inherently evil/cruel and this news proved her wrong , so she wasn't ruling any theories out. Emma may be the Savior , but she had her moments.Look at Emma's past , nobody completely pure was doing that shit. Emma used to be a con artist and a thief and a liar and everything that is the exact opposite of what that spell the Charmings cast would have allowed her to be."Okay , say you are right about that. I'm going to entertain the thought because I kind of have an idea of someone who could possibly be that sibling , *if* you are right. Anyways. What about Snow and David's kid , then?""The two morons said that Snow and David were warned that the spell could cause the child to die , what if it happened to their baby? Magic does have a way of coming back to bite us , at times.""Damn it , that makes sense!"Emma groaned....."Do I really look like her?""Yes , you do."Emma looked at her , making a face."Hey. That's not why you want to be with me , is it? Because I look like your 'dear Maleficent'?"Emma joked , Regina gagged a little."Ugh , no! The resemblance never crossed my mind , until today. My 'dear Maleficent' is a pain in the ass and very much into men. Besides , if I had of wanted her , I wouldn't have settled for the junior version!"Regina sassed and Emma grinned."It is refreshing to hear you call someone else a pain in your ass , for once.""Yes , yes. Because I so rarely talk about people , right. Now , are you ready to go back in there? You know what you wanted to and it's my turn to interrogate them , I want to know why they had that rattle."Regina huffed. She seriously doubted Ursula and Cruella were expecting a little one and she doubted even more that they would have chosen a rattle that reminded them so much of their old 'friend' ,if they were."Maybe they got an early shower gift , hard to tell with you Villains. I never know what goes through your heads.""Shower gift? Emma , why would they get someone a baby rattle , to go in their shower? And why would someone get a gift for the shower? Is that some strange custom from the 'normal' world , outside of Storybrooke?"Regina asked , completely clueless. Emma stared at her for a moment , before blinking in disbelief and shaking her head."Why do people do anything they do? I'm still trying to figure out why Ruby got me a house-warming gift , when I first came here and she knew I was crashing in my car. People are strange , come on."Emma grabbed Regina's hand , leading her back towards the cabin.

****Chapter 6**** "I hope your noses get stuck on that window ,"Regina sneered , once she and Emma had walked back through the door only to see Cruella and Ursula had been looking out the window and watching them.From the way they were sitting , it looked like they had been enjoying the show for a good while. Not that there was anything to really see , but it was still annoying to know they had been spied on."We were just...bird watching ,""We heard the Swans were getting their feathers all ruffled out there and we just had to look out and see all the commotion!"The wicked duo turned around and grinned shamelessly , Emma really wanted to smack that look off their faces. Regina seemed to be on the same thought track , because she was giving her old "friends" her signature evil look and her hand was twitching dangerously."Yeah , whatever. Why don't we all sit down and talk about that rattle you had in your car , before Regina loses her mind. She's been dying to know about it , since she picked the thing up. Curiosity has been about to drive her nuts."Emma didn't bother adding anything in about the conversation she and Regina had outside to do with this , she wanted to see if Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb Ass would let anything slip out on their own. Also , she wasn't ready to fully delve into that theory.Maybe that rattle didn't have a thing to do with any of this stuff with Maleficent , maybe they just liked to collect weird things.Cruella and Ursula *did* spend time with a Dragon for apparently a long duration of time and when Emma was really into Dragons and fantasy stuff , she read up on how Dragons liked to hoard treasure and random junk. It was entirely possible that these two dodos picked up the habit , but Emma wouldn't say any of that to Regina because she knew Regina would shut it down immediately. Regina was a realist and she was really annoying , when Emma was trying to be delusional."Oh , that..."Cruella and Ursula shared a look , debating on whether or not to tell them the deal with it. Emma groaned , dreading hearing the real story with it. There goes her delusions , time to wake up and smell the bullshit."Five...four...three...""Are you counting to us? We're not your kid , Regina!"Ursula snapped , Regina glared at her with the same look she gave Henry during times he was back-talking and fussing with her or just generally behaving in a way she did not approve of."Two...I get to one and--you don't want to find out.""You used to be fun , before you went all goody goody and started shacking up with the Savior!"Cruella informed Regina , with a sneer."How is she being 'goody , goody' , because she's with me? Ha! Guess again , our entire relationship is an advertisement for bad.Sneaking around , lying , there were some chapters of our relationship where he had to basically cheat with our cover boyfriends , and that's just the basics!"Emma snorted , taking up for Regina. Regina was proud of her progress , but she still got embarrassed to hear her old Villain pals mocking her over it. Like a good girlfriend , she threw an arm around Regina's shoulders and added on to further help her out."She sits next to me at dinner , with my parents and fingers me under the table while she chit chats with my mom and pretends there is nothing going on. Regina reaches for them to pass the potato salad her way , with that very hand she used. Yeah , she's real good and innocent!"Normally , she would make a comment about how her girlfriend could at least pass the bowl with her *clean* hand. But the germs and proper table manners speech just didn't seem like it would fit in very well with this argument-- a good girl that washes her girlfriend's cum off her hand before passing the salad to mommy didn't fit with the bad girl image."Defiling their daughter , at the family dinner. Maybe the Evil Queen really is still in there somewhere."Ursula smirked , Cruella rolled her eyes."That's nothing , I had sex with my most recent ex-husband for the first time during the funeral of my previous ex-husband. We were going at it in the pews , while that preacher prattled on and on about how what-his-face would be missed and yada yada!""I mean , me and Regina had sex for the first time in the basement that held my mom's old casket from the Enchanted Forest. It wasn't like right up on it and we didn't exactly plan it , but it still counts."Emma hoped she wasn't blushing , she usually did while talking or thinking about that experience. True love's kiss and sex with said true love for the first time , in a dirty basement with the remains of a recently deceased Dragon and a broken casket your mom used to sleep in! They don't write that shit in the story books."They win!"Ursula cackled , Cruella pouted."It wasn't a competition.""You only say that because you know you lost.""Stop while you're ahead , Emma , before you get her all worked up and she goes out and k!lls some poor puppy to assert her dominance!"Regina didn't put it past Cruella to do that either , that was something she could picture the psychotic woman doing in great detail."She would do it , you know?"Ursula said , seriously. She made the mistake of getting a dog , once and only once..."Have and will , again and again. Now , as for the rattle--""Let's just tell them , I'm getting tired of carrying lube around everywhere to make it more comfortable while the Savior shoves herself up my ass all day."Ursula huffed , Cruella smirked."I don't know , I sort of like leaving them guessing.""Tell us or I'll arrest both of you and you'll be too busy in that holding cell , to get anything done you had planned.""What makes you think you can catch us , Savior?"Cruella challenged , half-heartedly."Because she has one thing you two don't ,""What's that , your Majesty?"Ursula crossed her arms , Regina lazily flicked her hand and sent the two other women flying back. When they flipped back , the chairs they were sitting in went back with them."Me."Regina growled , her eyes flashing dangerously. She was in no mood for playing games with these two."You're not the only one with magic here ,your Majesty ,"Ursula grit out , as she shoved the chair off herself and hauled herself up to her feet."You're not the only one capable of magic here , your Majesty ,""You're right , she's not."Emma agreed and sent the 'Sea Bitch' , as Regina called her flying back into the wall. Ursula hit that wall so hard , she knocked every picture and decoration off of that side of the cabin's wall.Cruella glared at her and raised her fingers to whistle , calling her loyal pets that were ironically enough a set of Dalmatians--two very vicious Dalmatians."I may not have the power to throw you , but I do have this power with animals I think you will find comes to my advantage a little more.I'm not telling you anything to do with that damned rattle because it is none of your business , Savior. Why don't the two of you queers go pick out some matching towels sets or something?!"Cruella snarled , as she commanded her dogs to get into the attack position.Emma didn't know what came over her , but some kind of instincts she didn't even know she had kicked in the second she heard those dogs growling. Her eyes glowed and she felt her temperature rise , as this completely unnatural heat took over her body."Emma! What the Hell?! Since when can you do that?!"Regina stumbled back , just in time to not get smacked by a long , purple tail. Within seconds , Emma had transformed into a Dragon that was actually a good bit bigger than Maleficent's form.Had Emma not been crouching down for that scaled head to meet the yapping ones of the dogs that had still not backed off yet , she would have ripped the roof off of that cabin. Cruella and Ursula just kind of froze , in surprise. Apparently , this was not something they really expected. At all.Regina knew she was the one to mention the theory that Emma wasn't really a Charming outside , but she was mostly screwing with Emma. She didn't have time to actually sit there and think of if she really believed it or not. By Merlin and Morgana both , she believed it now!That wasn't Snow's blood putting those horns on Emma's head! Cruella tried to use her tricks on Emma , but it didn't work.The only purpose that Cruella stepping closer and blowing her little mist into the air served was to make it easier for Emma to try and bite her face off , Emma did end up getting a good chunk out of her left cheek before she could jump out of the snapping zone. Regina had never seen an animal of any kind , regular or magical resist Cruella's call.Ursula summoned her tentacles and she started slithering them towards Emma , Emma offered the extra slimy appendages the same treatment she had Cruella's face--she bit three of them off and Regina found out that the witch could bleed out of them and not lightly either.You would think a magical half-woman/half-octopus would have taught herself to regrow the tentacles , but that would require Ursula to use that tiny thing inside her head she called a brain and she wasn't very good at that. That woman wasn't good at much of anything , if you asked Regina's opinion.Yelps were heard as Emma plucked those two dogs up off the ground and flung them out the window , they didn't have the cushion of a wall to catch them. Regina cringed , Rumpel was going to be pissed whenever he came back to this mess.Cruella saw her dogs go out and that was all it took for her , she was aborting mission and she let herself out that door. Unfortunately , that didn't make Dragon Emma very happy. With a roar containing an anger Regina had never heard leave a Beast before -Dragon or otherwise- Emma changed back with what she could only assume were the same instincts that led her to changing at all because nobody taught her to do any of this!"Get that rattle and take it somewhere Gold can't get to it , that thing is important for a reason and I don't want him getting his hands anywhere near it until we find out why."Emma snapped and Regina didn't comment on it this time , those eyes were still glowing and she swore smoke was coming out of her girlfriend's nose. Before Regina could utter a word , Emma stormed out that door and it wasn't hard to guess which direction she was headed.Regina didn't understand , any of it. The Dragon Emma concept all together was a shock in itself , but Emma had never lost her tempter like that. Emma had gotten angry , sure. But she had never gotten to a point she lost control like that.While Emma did seem to have a pretty good grasp on what she was doing while in that form , Regina knew enough from time spent with Maleficent to understand what loss of control of your emotions and yourself you have to get to in order to make that transformation.What the Hell had gotten into Emma? Lately , she had been moody and just all together acting strange. When Emma got done with her little...hunting trip , Regina planned to have a very long talk with her.Until time for that little heart-to-heart  , she guessed she ought to look for that rattle. That was one thing Regina would say Emma acted like she had some sense , that rattle wasn't just some toy or that shower gift Emma had suggested--whatever that was even supposed to be , Regina shook her head. If Emma wasn't being snappy or angry , she was being just flat out weird....

****Chapter 7****//Emma stood frozen as the magnificent beast that had apparently been chilling in the Library's basement for the last twenty-eight or so years rose to it's full height and locked it's toxic green eyes on her own forest green eyes.The Dragon's nostrils flared , as the monstrous thing sniffed the air. Emma's heart raced , as that thing continued to stare her down."Woah!"Emma stumbled back in surprise , when the Dragon lowered it's head and...nudged her almost playfully. When she came in there at first , that thing was spitting fire and growling. Now , it wants to play with her? Seriously?"A fire-breathing dog , basically. What's next? You want me to rub your belly?"Emma snorted and then shook her head , she swore that Dragon just rolled its eyes at her."What are you doing , Miss Swan?!"Regina called from her safe space still in the elevator they had travelled down to this pit in , staying a cowardly distance away from the Beast. Emma would have teased her more about it , but she really couldn't blame the brunette. If she cursed a witch and trapped them in their creature form for over a decade , she wouldn't want to go down and get close and personal with them either."You wouldn't believe me , if I told you!"Emma felt like even in a world where fairy tale characters actually existed , that it was still weird for her to be standing here petting a Dragon."Stop lolly-gagging , our son's life is on the line!"Emma felt her lips twitch and immediately felt bad about it , she wasn't supposed to be smiling at a time like this and especially not after that sentence.It was a horrible situation , what she was sent down here to do was horrible. What had happened to their son was horrible. But a shameful part of Emma did want to smile , because Regina had called Henry *their* son. Regina never called Henry their son before , it was always her son and her son only. Emma found that she really liked when Regina claimed him as both of their's , like they were a real family or something."Regina , trying not to die via Dragon fire or Dragon's really sharp teeth is not lolly-gagging! And I don't want to hear you commenting anyways , not unless you plan on coming to help me with this task!""You're the Savior , not me. I did my part in all of this , I did all the work that left everybody needing a Savior. Go on , have at it!""It would have saved you some breath to keep it short and sweet , by just admitting you're a big ole wuss!""Get your sword out and start slaying , so we can wake Henry up! Stop messing around!""Messing around? Says the one hiding in the elevator! I only just found out I was the Savior , you've known you were an Evil Queen and one powerful bitch for a hundred years! *YOU* get out here and take this thing on!"Emma yelled back , then turned to the Dragon that she swore she heard snickering."You believe this woman? She acts like she's scared to face the creature she locked up for thirty years , can't imagine why! How come *she*is the one that keeps you hidden in a basement ,  but *I'm* the one that's gotta deal with the pissed off Dragon? Fairytale bullshit , Snow White owes me big time."//Emma shook her head , pushing her damp blonde hair out of her face and wiping her mouth roughly on the back of her hand. She had just changed back into human Emma and as soon as the transformation was complete , she fell to her knees on the ground and a flash back hit her."No wonder that fucking Dragon gave me that look , when I said that. Yeah , Snow White owes me. More than I thought , apparently."Emma barked out a humorless laugh , staring off at the cliff she had chased Cruella off of and...ripped her apart at the bottom of. Ursula had retreated to what Emma could only guess was the water and if the woman had any sense , she would stay there because Emma wasn't very happy with her either.She didn't know what exactly it was , but just the sight of those two suddenly pissed her off. And it wasn't her mood swings either , it was like the minute she unlocked that little theory she wasn't a Charming and the longer she sat with them ; the more upset she got.It was like her brain was trying to tell her they did something really bad , but it couldn't tell her what they did. And then , they threatened Regina and that pushed her completely over the edge. All she saw was red , she was not going to be satisfied until she removed that threat.These instincts just took over and she let them. She couldn't explain it , but she trusted these instincts. It felt right to listen to that voice in the back of her mind that told her to do it. And yes , she knew that made her sound crazy. But while she knew this made her sound crazy , she could also argue that the whole concept that she could turn into a Dragon at all made her sound crazy.Emma looked down at her hands , seeing crusted blood all over her palms--Cruella's blood. She gagged , as she wiped her hands off on her pant legs. She was definitely going to need a shower , when she got home.While she was a Dragon , she had wanted to eat Cruella. She did not , by the way. She fought those instincts on that , she refused to eat people and she definitely wasn't eating that one. It was hard to tell what kind of diseases Cruella was carrying around , she wasn't putting that in her body!"I don't know what I dread more , burning this outfit or facing your mama..."Emma whispered , putting a hand to her stomach that was just ever so slightly bloated. Soon , she would start showing a little more and she really hoped that she could tell Regina before it got to that point. Emma didn't want people talking and spreading rumors , before she could talk to her girlfriend. She was just going to have to flat out tell Regina , because the hints weren't hinting for her."Maybe I should just go ahead and tell her about you , so she doesn't k!ll me just yet."Emma joked , smiling down at her belly. Whale told her she was pregnant close to a month ago and she still couldn't believe it , she was having Regina's baby. Not only did she manage to do what she thought was impossible and have a baby with another female , but she was having a baby with somebody she loved , which she also thought was impossible."I hope you take after her . I don't know what I would do , if I had a little mini Dragon flying around and trying to eat people."Emma joked , kind of. The thought of a tiny version of what she just turned into was a scary concept , if she were being honest. She was an adult and she had very little control , imagine a baby."But if you do take after me and you are a little Dragon , I'll love you just the same. I won't promise I won't invest in one of those child leashes , though....you're not flying off eating people."//"Kid , it's nothing personal , I want to be able to keep you. But if I keep you , they'll just take you away from me and it will hurt more for both of us because I may never get you back."Emma whispered , looking down at her swollen stomach. She was seventeen and pregnant , she was due to pop at just about any given moment and she was grieving this baby the same way she would grieve for a dead person.When she found out she was pregnant , it was when she was first arrested and accused of stealing some very expensive watches her kind of ex-boyfriend/baby daddy left her to take the fall for.She had to give a urine sample because they thought she was a junkie and instead of getting the results they expected , they found that she was very much sober and a few weeks along in a pregnancy. Emma was found guilty and she was sentenced to a year in a local Juvenile Detention Center.When she found out she was pregnant , she freaked out and declared several times that she was not ready to be a mother.She was seventeen-fucking-years-old , she had been living on the streets for the last several years and she had no job or family or even a friend to offer any sort of moral or financial support system for her and this baby.The only "friend" she had was the weird old guy living in the car she stole that knocked her up and he wasn't a friend anymore , because he left her to take the fall for his crime! Emma was an orphan and she ran away from her last Foster family , so she didn't even have a guardian waiting to give her down the road about it or offer to take this kid in.Here she was , nine months and and like five days past her due date and everyone was still hounding her to see if she was sure she still wanted to put her baby up for adoption.Emma did not even want to know the sex of this baby , because her decision was that difficult on her and she did not want to get attached to it. These people constantly questioning her did not help , at all. Did she *want* to give this baby away? No! Did she know that the best thing for it was to do that? Yes.When she was released , she would be back out on the streets and she would not have the option to get picked up and go into another Foster Home.When she was finally out of Juvie , she would be aged out and an adult. Social Services didn't give a damn where she was , when she got out because she was no longer legally their responsibility. In other words , she would be homeless and jobless ; and they would take this kid away from her pretty much immediately.Emma knew that the best option for this kid was for her to put him up for adoption , set him on a path where a person or persons actually wanting to take a kid in and be a full-time parent can pick him out.She knew what it was like to grow up in the System , it wasn't any kind of life she would want for her kid. Even if she did plan to get her life on track and get him back , it was such a long process and the damage would be done to him.Most Foster families only wanted the money --there were some good parents that tried , she would admit ; but most were just taking you in for a check. And those families like that were usually not very good or kind people. Emma had been in more homes than she could count , the chances of lasting in any one home were extremely low and they were bad about moving kids out of the area.Emma wanted her child to be taken into one home and she wanted him to be taken in somewhere that would really want him and love him ; and most importantly , keep him. She wanted him to have the consistency and care that she never got herself. In her eyes , she was giving this kid the world by putting him up for adoption now.It was painful , but it was right. Emma could not provide any kind of life for herself , let alone this kid. He or she deserved better than what she would probably ever be able to give it , maybe this kid would get lucky and get taken in by somebody rich and be spoiled to death. Who knew? Possibilities were endless , there.Some days , she dreamed of a life where she could actually raise this kid. She imagined that she got a good job and a house , she dreamed that she might have even found somebody to love her and this kid and actually stay with them.It was fun to check out of reality , sometimes. But she knew that as soon as her eyes opened , that those thoughts had to be locked away. If she acted even the slightest bit hesitant , people were only going to question her more and make this even harder on her. She did not want to take away this kid's chances at a good life and happiness , because she was pressured into making a decision she knew wasn't right.Not only were Foster homes bad about not wanting to keep the children they took in , some of them were really abusive. Emma had been to more than a few homes that abused her mentally , physically , and at times , sexually. And excuse her , but she just did not want to think about her innocent baby being sent into that.There was a chance they could go to a good home , but Emma could almost count on just one hand how many of those she went into and the odds were even slimmer for a kid that came from her. You know why the odds were so low? Because that was Emma's luck , that's why! She was securing that this kid went to a forever home and she was just going to trust her gut , the only thing that never lied to her that everything would be okay and work out for it that way.Emma gasped , as she was broke out of her deep thoughts by the slow trickle of something leaking down her legs and a painful contraction. Baby time. Her eyes widened , as it dawned on her that she was going into labor in a fucking cell."Somehow , I always thought my friend Lily would be the one in this position. How did I fall so far that I ended up being the one giving birth in jail? That's it , kid , I'm making a promise to you--I'm gonna get my shit together , okay?"Did she really believe that would happen? Nah. Emma made that promise at least once a week , never happened. She was born a fuck-up and she was confident that she would die a fuck-up.//Emma had had two pregnancy scares since Henry -one was around six months after she was released from Juvy and she managed to get herself a job working the night shift at a little diner , she had to close by herself and she got raped on her way back to her car. Thankfully , the test came back negative.The second scare was the first time she and Regina had sex , when the magic had returned to Storybrooke. That test did come back positive...and negative...and positive...and negative again. Everytime she tested , it was always a different result.When she ended up getting her period , the chaos ended and she was left sitting there wishing that her period never came. She wanted that baby , she wanted to have another kid , and she wanted Regina to be the one that put it there.Emma never talked about any of it with Regina , because she knew how sensitive about the topic of pregnancy was for her girlfriend. Regina could not have children herself and that was why she chose to adopt , Emma tried not to bring anything like this up with the brunette.She never wanted to mention this stuff unless she was sure , she didn't think Regina could take getting her hopes up about having a baby only for them to be crushed. Regina had certain topics that just...she did not do well with them , at all. This was one of them , that was why Emma still hasn't told her about the baby she knows is absolutely growing inside her and extremely healthy---she wanted to make sure everything was still going good."I hope she's as happy as I am , I hope this is what she wanted."Emma mumbled , as she rose to her feet and mentally prepared herself to go home and face Regina. Regina wouldn't hurt her , of course. But she knew she was going to hear all about it and likely would for a long , long , long time.__________________________________________________________________"Did you get it?"Regina jumped , when Emma just burst into her Vault with no warning at all and that was the first thing she said to her."What the Hell did you do , Miss Swan?"Regina demanded and Emma cringed , picking a twig out of her hair and dusting off her clothes."I chased Cruella until she ran off a cliff and she kinda died...Ursula got away and it was probably a smart move on her part."Emma said , awkwardly. Regina looked at her , like she had gone insane."You pushed one off a cliff and ate the other one...""Technically , I did not push her. She ran off it , I just happened to be the thing she ran from."Emma pointed out , Regina glared at her."You never lose your temper that easily , what got into you?""I told you , my moods have been all over the place lately. When they threatened you , that did it for me."Emma sighed , she knew she was irrational and she really needed Regina to understand that it wasn't something she had a lot of control over."And it's concerning me. Emma , are you doing drugs?"Regina had to ask , Emma glared at her."Hell no , I'm not doing drugs! I didn't do drugs , when I was living on the streets or in my stolen car with the old guy that was also living in it ; I didn't do them in Juvy , when I was pregnant with that old guy's kid at seventeen--"Emma took a breath , putting a hand to her stomach , before continuing."And I am not doing them now!""Then , what has gotten into you?""I've got a lot going through my head , okay? I'm dealing with a lot , right now."Emma sighed , Regina frowned."Are you having regrets about us?""No! No! No! Baby , I would never regret you , you are one of the best things to happen to me! I love you so much and I love our life together!"Emma rushed to assure her , extremely upset that Regina asked that. Even on their worst days , where they fought like cats and dogs and they dealt with their worst issues , Emma never regretted their relationship for a single second."I don't want you to feel like you have to stay , I understand that I am older and I know you don't like keeping secrets.""I know I don't have to stay and you know by now , I don't do anything I don't want to. Regina , I will go outside right now and scream from the roof top we are together , because I am happy and I am proud of us.And I dare anybody to try and hurt you because apparently , I can turn into a Dragon and not a little one either. The first time I see someone raise a pitch fork your way , I'll set their ass on fire!"Emma took Regina's hands and pulled her closer , kissing her cheek."As for the being older part , that's probably one of the most attractive things for me right off. I have always liked older people , Regina , I connect better with them. Your age will never be a problem for us.""What if you want to have another child someday , Emma?"Regina had worried about these things more than a few times , Emma smiled and laughed."Don't worry about that , Gina , trust me.""Emma , be serious for a minute , you might really want more kids one day! Every day , I wish that I would be able to have another one. I love Henry more than anything in this world , but he's growing faster than I can blink and I would have liked to be able to have had another one.""Regina , it is possible to have another baby ,""Emma , I took a potion that made me barren and there isn't exactly an adoption Agency in Storybrooke and if there were , they certainly wouldn't be giving out the innocent babies to the Evil Queen!""Regina--""Emma , please , just drop it. Forget I said anything , I got the rattle. Let's focus on that and we'll deal with you , whatever is going on later."Regina pulled away from Emma , turning away to go get the box with the rattle inside of it. Emma frowned , hating how easily Regina shut down during difficult conversations."Gina--""Drop it , Emma."Regina didn't snap at her , but she came dangerously close and Emma let out a defeated sigh."Fine , I'll drop it."Emma pulled her shirt down , hating the breeze she felt from her slightly exposed back and abdomen. Before long , she was going to have to go clothes shopping for bigger sizes."I don't know why they would have had a rattle , it just doesn't make any sense. I get talking about babies to get Snow and Charming's feathers ruffled , but I just don't know why they would have needed to go through the efforts of carrying around a rattle."Regina took the rattle from its velvet casing and held it up , examining it. This was clearly a custom make and it was definitely from the Enchanted Forest , it had been taken care of well over the years."Let me see it."Emma didn't know what came over her , she wanted to hold that rattle. It was like she had this...pull to it. She crossed the room and put one hand on Regina's lower back , while she grabbed the rattle with the other."Em--"Regina started , but cut herself off. The room shifted around them , they were no longer in her Vaults ; but in...Maleficent's castle.A few feet away from the two of them , Maleficent was leaned back in her throne and holding the very rattle that the two of them had their hands on in her own.For the first time ever , Regina saw this soft smile full of love on her old friend's face. Regina had seen Maleficent during her Depressed phases , she had seen her at her absolute lowest and weakest...but she had never seen this side of the Dragon.Maleficent looked happy , she looked like someone gift-wrapped the world and handed it to her. She was wearing the same clothes that she wore the night Regina stole the Dark Curse from her , Regina felt a pang in her chest at the thought that she did took this happiness from her friend.Regina never thought about what Maleficent might have been dealing with that night , she hadn't thought much of her friend at all ; if she were being honest. Maleficent was the only real friend she had , that woman did everything for her and the stupid thing actually gave a damn about her during her most unloving moments and what did she do? She barged into her home and stole that smile off her face! Things like this was why Regina felt she did not deserve Henry or Emma or anything good."Is that a unicorn?"Emma mumbled , Regina groaned."Yes , it is. That damn thing , do not even get me started.""You act like you know where we are.""Emma , this is Maleficent's castle , that is Maleficent and that is Maleficent's stupid pet unicorn."It was almost comical , the look on Emma's face."So , you're telling me a Dragon had a pet unicorn? Glad the horny thing wasn't prancing around that basement , when I had to fight her. Nothing like a blast of fire in your face and a horn up your ass....""What a lovely image you paint , Emma ,"Regina said , dryly. Emma grinned , shameless as usual."You love the images I put in your head and you know it.""Emma..."Regina said warningly , Emma pouted."Regina...ow!"Emma whined , when Regina took one hand off the rattle to smack her on the ass and not gently either."That's what you get. Behave yourself , next time."Emma leaned her head on Regina's shoulder , watching past Maleficent rub her stomach. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together , the Dragon was pregnant."I'll behave myself , until I see David and Mary Margaret again. Look at her , she's pregnant , Gina!""That explains why she was acting....off that day ,"Regina cringed , a wave of guit hitting her like a ton of bricks. Emma raised a brow , imitating one of Regina's looks of disapproval."You went and tormented that poor pregnant Dragon that night , didn't you?""I didn't...the Evil Queen did and she didn't know the old bat was pregnant."Regina defended herself , Emma snorted."The Evil Queen better have been looking good that day , to have been tormenting my mama.""The Evil Queen and I have one thing in common , we look good everyday. And your mama? The Dragon is mama , now?"Regina teased her , Emma rolled her eyes."What else was I supposed to call her? 'Hey , old bitch that apparently gave birth to me!' or mother lizard?"Emma had an easier time accepting the theory of Maleficent being her real mom , since having turned into a Dragon. Clearly , she was not a Charming and she didn't know of any other Dragons right off."The sad part is she would probably answer to the first one , but she would have something to say back to it. One thing about Maleficent , she has a response to everything."Regina snorted , leaning her head against Emma's. Emma watched as the Evil Queen marched into the room and invited herself to sit down in a chair on the other side of Maleficent.Emma grinned , her eyes greedily taking in the outfit her Majesty was wearing. Regina smirked , nudging her."Like what you see?""Hell yeah , I do!""Maybe if you're a really good girl , I'll dig it out sometime.""Or I could be a bad girl and you can get that outfit and punish me , for being naughty. Because that right there , that's what I'm gonna be fantasizing. That outfit , major dom vibes."Emma almost drooled and she didn't feel the least bit embarrassed , the Evil Queen always looked hot...but she really outdone herself this time. Regina grabbed Emma's chin with her free hand and turned the blonde's face to look at her and away from her evil vision counterpart."Stop looking at her , you don't want her. Trust me , that version of me was not somebody that you would want to love and get attached to. I'm not even sure that version of me would have been able to love Henry , Emma.""I think you're too hard on yourself. That version of you wanted a happy ending more than anything , Henry is your happiness.""At that time , my biggest fear was being a mother. I loved Henry during my Evil Queen days , once I settled into Storybrooke and I was able to be completely free of Cora. And Henry isn't my only happiness , you forgot my Emma."Regina knew what she was like back then , she wasn't going to lie about it and sugar coat it. Back then , Regina was awful and selfish and she would have never accepted any kind of love.Maleficent knew every dirty little secret and just how terrible Regina really was , she adored her anyways and Regina repaid that by forcefully taking a Curse from her and later imprisoning the Dragon for thirty years."You cannot tell me if that kid had come along back then , you wouldn't have loved him. It would have scared you , but you would have.""You have so much faith in me , it's going to break your heart one day.""Gina , I fell in love with you when you were so evil that you literally brought a basket of apples and tried to poison me , and you didn't even break my heart then. Give yourself some more credit."Emma huffed , Regina made a face."That's fair. You may wanr to look away , for this part."Regina recognized the scene playing out before them , it was right before her past self and Maleficent were going to fight over the Dark Curse. Spoiler , Regina won and she didn't think Emma wanted to see her mommy or rather , 'mama' get thrown back into a wall while pregnant with her."You were being a bully , weren't you?"..."A little.""Gina...""A lot.""Uh-huh. How bad is it?""Not near as bad as you running Cruella to her death , off of a cliff. I'll tell you that!"Regina huffed. Emma smirked and caught herself just in time to wipe it off her face , but not quickly enough that her girlfriend missed it."I knew you were proud of it.""A little.""A lot."Regina teased her , Emma shrugged and wrapped her free arm around her girlfriend."I'm going to watch this and everytime you try to give me any grief , I'm going to point out how you were mean to my mama while she was pregnant with me and you can just leave me alone.""You're not going to like what you see ,""In that outfit , I seriously doubt you can do anything that I don't like."Emma snorted , Regina shrugged."We shall see.""Picking on poor , defenseless pregnant women."Emma teased her , Regina rolled her eyes."Defenseless , my ass! Nothing drives away your Grandma quite like catching her and putting her on the spot , with the guy she is more or less cheating on your Grandpa with.While Gold was exiled and Belle made it clear she no longer wanted him , they were still married and she was still running his shop and living in Gold's house.The least Belle could do, if she were going to date other people or whatever she had going on was to go outside of the house and the Pawn Shop to do it. And she knew that , she knew what she was doing was wrong or she would not have been that embarrassed at being caught doing it.Henry could give a fart less what Belle did , honestly. What he was doing around that shop was another matter entirely , he got to thinking about his moms' situation and he wanted to help with it.He had a feeling that led him to the shop , but maybe that feeling was leading him to his Grandpa.Instincts he swore came from his dad compelled him to break into the shop and snoop around it while it was empty , but a more rational part he knew came from his mother , Regina urged him to go straight to Gold. That man knew every bit of inventory he had in his shop , he knew nearly everything about everything and everyone , Henry was positive he would be able to help more than any nosing around he did. Plus , how many times do you get to bully Rumpelstiltskin and know that no harm will come to you?He was a thirteen-year-old boy and he had all the power in the world over the Dark One , just by being born. Anytime Gold got mad at him , the anger faded pretty much immediately because Henry was his precious Bae's son.Whether Gold would admit it or not , he did have a soft spot and a lot of respect for Regina. And then you factor in Emma , Emma didn't care who Gold was...Emma would kick his ass ; if he touched one hair on Henry's head and Gold knew it. In other words , Henry had an all access pass to get away with m!rd!r and he was going to use it to his advantage. He was going to find the Author and he was going to help his moms get the Happy Ending they deserve...and everyone else that lost their's."Are you kidding me , you want to find the Author? I don't trust them with our son ,""Regina , they want me to believe that I am their daughter and while I am playing along with that , Henry is their grandson and they're not going to hurt him while we live their little deluded fantasy.We only need a day or so to find Lily , Henry has school and he hangs out with his friends. He only needs to be with them long enough to go to bed and get up the next morning , I doubt he will even be in their house long enough to eat breakfast. The baby gets on his nerves , he isn't going to linger any longer than he has to."Emma pointed out and Regina made a face."Alright , you have a point. But what do we tell them about us leaving? If we are going to use him as an excuse , we do need to drop by and tell him hello and see how he is doing in the city. After everything he did for us , it is the least we could do.""Regina , I don't owe that guy anything , I brought his dead wife back to life. My debt is paid. If you want to talk to the kid -and I know that is what is really bothering you , you miss Roland- dig his number out of my phone and call him , I am sure he would let you talk to him."After meeting the Merry Thieves , Regina saw the Lion tattoo on Robin's arm and they had a laugh over how Tinkerbell claimed he was Regina's soul mate.Robin was deeply in love with Maid Marian and Regina had changed so much from the girl Tinkerbell told that prophecy to , then there was Emma.Regina knew Emma was who she was meant to be with , Emma was her everything and she never would have given up what they had for something a fairy told her ages ago. Anyways , she told Emma about that and Emma suggested they use Robin as a cover. At this point , they got a little too close in public and they needed something to pull the attention away for a while. Robin agreed to it , since his wife was dead and Roland really liked Regina.Anyways , Emma used Hook's help to go back into the past and save Marian. Robin was nice enough to help them out , she decided to be just as nice and help him out. Plus if she brought back Marian , Robin had the excuse of his wife returning for him to leave Regina and Storybrooke behind.Emma wasn't worried about Robin or anything , but she was sick of hearing about people talking about how nice it was for Regina to finally be happy with him. There was just something so annoying about having to sit by and shut your mouth , while everybody talked about how good your girlfriend looked standing next to a guy."You don't have to be so jealous , Emma. If I wanted him , I would have gone along with that prophecy and allowed Tinkerbell to talk me into really being with him. I chose you.""I'm not jealous , I know I'm prettier than him. Besides , I've seen him bathing in the creek , my strap on is bigger than that thing and I'm willing to bet I know how to use it better than he does.""Emma!"Regina gasped , smacking her shoulder lightly."What? He was sneaking around and hiding his other grandpa , plotting behind everyone's backs , and he was going to try and tell his mothers that he could be trusted. Too bad , for him that Emma wasn't stupid and neither was Regina.Granted neither of the boy's mothers knew what he was up to , they knew what genes he carried and he did have a track record that screamed not to trust him.While they knew if he were going to get into something he shouldn't either way , they weren't going to be the idiots that left him alone to do it.Henry could have his fun doing whatever he had planned that he shouldn't , but they weren't going to look bad for setting him loose to do it. He had to put in the work to do his shady shit , like everybody else did!"Are you kidding me? You did not just say that with a straight face! I trust you with my wallet...kind of and I trust you with having good intentions or whatever , but I don't trust you staying alone.""Henry , you're going to have to go through a *lot* of personal growth and changes , before we trust you again. We trust that you are a good person , but we do not trust you to be left alone to watch yourself."Regina wanted to trust her son , but the boy gave her an embarrassing amount of reasons not to.It wasn't even just Emma and Neal and Gold's genes that made him untrustworthy , he acted too much like her too. Regina wasn't always a good girl , even when she was still a good girl. She snuck out of the house , she met up with boys , and she did things she wasn't supposed to , and she lied too."I haven't done anything in a while , I don't know why you two can't give me a chance to show you that you can trust me.""Henry , I'm gonna let you in on a secret--"Emma leaned in and beckoned for Henry to do the same , he curiously leaned closer."Only an idiot trusts a thirteen-year-old kid. I finally got to hear it , I really am a mom!"Regina snorted , grabbing the bag of their essentials and the many , many , many snacks that Emma had packed for their trip."Congratulations ,  you graduated. Say goodbye to the extra player video games and late night horror movies , you are officially the not cool parent. Don't worry , we can alternate who gets to read the newspaper in bed."Regina teased her , Emma looked horrified."Newspaper in bed? Fuck that! I might not be the fun guy anymore , but I am not going to stoop so low that I have to read the paper at bedtime! And I'm not eating my vegetables either!""Language , Emma!""It's English , Regina!"Henry snickered , until Regina shot a look his way."Emma , we don't need to be talking like that , in front of him. He'll pick up on it , if he hears us doing it.""Regina...he's a teenage boy...he goes to school with other teenagers...Gold is his grandpa , the *Evil Queen* is one of his mothers. Emma grinned , proud of her pathetic little victory. Henry was still pouting over not being trusted , so he just stomped off to his room to pack his own belongings for his trip."What are you two even doing? Is this some get away for you two to be gross together?"Henry asked , once he came back downstairs."Yeah , we're going to go out and stay in a hotel and we're gonna make a baby. What do you want , a brother or a sister?"Emma joked , still holding onto the hope that Regina would get a clue and pick up on what she was trying to tell her."Ew!"Henry gagged , his mind flooded with unwanted images."Love is beautiful , Henry!""I hear your love every night and trust me , no it is not!""Henry Daniel Mills!"Regina gasped , her cheeks flushing a deep red at her son's implications. Emma , on the other hand looked proud of her boy."Well , I got news for you , kid , it isn't all that beautiful , when I gotta pick up those tissues and buy more lotion every other day either! Me and your mom will be quieter and slack off a little , when you give your pal Rosy Palm a break!"Emma couldn't help it , she had to say it."Emma Swan!"Regina slapped Emma on the arm , lightly."I'm going out to the car!"A thoroughly embarrassed Henry declared , rushing out that door like he had a Hell Hound snapping at his feet."I won.""You didn't have to embarrass him , like that , Emma.""Regina , he started it , I finished it. The kid's gotta learn somehow. Don't dish it out , if you can't take what comes back at ya. Who better to teach him that , than his mom?"Emma pointed out , Regina rolled her eyes."We need to get going , it will be dark before we know it."

And since when do you eat watermelon?"Regina curled her nose , seeing Emma holding a piece of cut up watermelon with one hand while sprinkling some kind of spice all over it.The Queen's facial expression wasn't so much directed at Emma's choice in snacks , as much as it was over Emma using her elbows on the steering wheel. Granted they were at a stop sign , but still!"Tajin, it gives it a kick."Emma shrugged , she had the rare moment where she just craved something spicy and she got a weird hankering for some juicy watermelon.The want for something spicy wasn't all that weird for Emma , she liked to switch it up and have a little bit of spice every now and then. That watermelon craving , however , that was very weird and that definitely came from Regina's genes. Emma was very meat and cheese type , while Regina was fruit and veggie and all that other health crap type."Watermelon doesn't need a kick...the entire point of it is its sweetness.""Sure , if you're boring. Just wait until you see what I do with the cantaloupe."Emma warned her , Regina shook her head."Are you sick or something? In all the time that I have known you , I have never known you to just choose to eat fruit.""Or something , anyways."Emma smiled finished the chunk of watermelon she had , before moving again. They had been stopped at a stop sign and nobody was behind them , so Emma took her time to snack before continuing on with their trip."Well , whatever it is , at least it making you eat healthier...kind of. You still eat , like you're eating for two ; but at least you are eating better.""It's sort of a parasite , they say it will take a couple of months before it comes out."Emma joked , Regina scrunched up her nose."A parasite? Emma , that's why you need to be careful what you eat , you never know when you could pick something up!"Emma couldn't even form a response , she just started cackling. Regina glared at her , slapping her arm lightly for what felt like the millionth time today."Em-ma , it isn't funny! This is serious!""Calm down , Gina , I'm following up with Whale regularly to keep an eye on it. Everything is going great , so far. It'll be alright , I'm kind of growing attached to it. I've been thinking of names for it..."...."You want to name your parasite?""Yep. Whale learned not to make his smart ass comments , because Emma had a habit of "accidentally" kicking him in the nuts during pelvic exams."You feel that strongly about a parasite? Emma , she remembers what I was like , I am not the kind of woman a mother wants to be with their daughter!
