The plane rumbled, making Jimin’s head shake him out of his dazed mind. He blinked rapidly as he touched his chest, he had always been kind of scared of heights and especially flights. But after the initial scare he let out a deep sigh, it was only turbulence. Only turbulence… Or so he tried to tell himself as quietly as he could. His inaudible chant continued until a low voice made his words come to a halt.“Are you okay?” He turned his head to see the male who had occupied the seat next to him watching him with furrowed brows. To deny his pleasant looks would be a sin, but he tried to shake those thoughts away like the priest had said he should. But as his eyes traveled a bit lower he could not keep his gaze away from those large upper arms and the proud chest which portruded slightly from his black shirt. He was madly handsome.“Yes. I’m fine. It’s just, heights you know.” He chuckled nervously as he played with his sleeve and looked away from the other, trying to keep his mind off of the clear attraction he felt towards him. A few seconds passed before the other responded.“I see, well if it helps I am not really comfortable with traveling alone. Yet here I am.” The man said, his voice sounding like it was wrapped in silk and dipped in smooth chocolate. It was amazing how it could be so smooth yet clear at the same time.Jimin blamed his awkward social skills for letting even more silent seconds pass between him until he dared himself to continue talking to the stranger.“That’s very brave of you.” He said, turning back to the stranger with a small smile. “You seem really calm, I wish I could borrow some of that calmness.” He ended with a small laugh before he had the time to call himself a fool for saying something so dumb. How could you borrow someone’s calmness? The stranger chuckled.“I would loan you some if I could, but I’m not as calm on the inside as I look on the outside. It actually took a lot just to talk to you.” He said with a shy smile as he bit his lip slightly. “But you’re the brave one flying up here on these insane heights when you’re afraid of high levels.” Jimin admired the male’s conversation skills until he realized that yes, he is indeed very, very, very high up in the sky. He looked out through the window and oh yes, it looked just as frightening as it did before. Jimin tried to breathe slowly but only small, shaky breaths came out. Oh no. He couldn’t have a panic attack, not on a plane, not with so many people around.A snap made him jump but the other male was quick to hold his shoulders.“Hey it is okay, just breathe. I saw how horrified you look so I thought I would close down the blinds. I am so sorry if I scared you.” He looked worried, like he cared about him. But he was a stranger, a stranger who was a guy- and he was touching him, something the priest told Jimin he should not let men do anymore. In a state of panic he shook the man’s hands off of his shoulders. “I-it is fine. Just don’t touch me, please.” He knows that he sounded rude, but he didn’t want to go back to where he was flying from, he didn’t want to go back to the humiliating methods they used on him to ‘cure him’. He was going home and he was going to behave. He didn’t want to go back to that place, he couldn’t. “Oh, I’m sorry then.” That was the last conversation the two had with each other that trip.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
His head and knees hurt while his sight was not functioning properly. He tried to focus his eyes on something in front of him but his vision twisted and turned the more he tried to keep his eyes open. What was happening to him? Where was he? Many thoughts wandered through his mind as he tried to collect his senses, but no answers were given as he was still struggling to see his surroundings. Before his sight returned he could feel the nasty musk of smoke crawl into his nose. It was bitter and it stung inside of his nostrils every time he breathed in through his nose.As he slowly unfolded his legs he felt his, probably bruised legs, click a little with each second he stretched. “Ouch.” He sighed quietly with a weak, hoarse voice. Why did his legs hurt so immensely? The last thing he could remember was being on that plane. When he gained back a steady vision he noticed that he was still on that plane. “What…?” His voice broke while he slowly looked around, conscientious not to make his head pound even more than it already did. The safety board in front of him was cracked by the left corner and there was that pungent smell invading his senses again. As he looked around the seats in front of him he saw a blurry havoc, and it was not just blurry because of his sensitive sight, but the furniture was scattered and broken, same thing with the abundance of baggages from the upper storage units which had somehow all been opened. He couldn't care less for the state of his head when he quickly turned his vision to the seat beside him. He wished to meet those maroon colored eyes paired with the slight chuckles he would let out. He wished those strong arms could carry him out of here, that they would carry him to safety. He let out a shaky breath once he looked at the seat besides from his. It was empty. No, no, no, no, no. Did they leave him here all alone to meet the ending seemes of his life? His heart rate increased and so did his fear, as well as the stingy smell. He tried to stand up but his knees were wobbling, causing his balance to waver briefly. But his stressed brain forced his muscles to carry his body up until he was finally standing. The newly gained height gave him a wide overview of the plane and the spread chaos was chilling to the bone. A spark appeared not to far away and that’s when he noticed where that smell was coming from… There was a fire spreading. Before his mind could process the newly found information his weak legs carried him across the aisle as his eyes searched desperately for an escape exit. He was seated at the end of the plane and the most damage seemed to be done to the nose of the plane which was a small positive in the current situation. He noticed that the cabin door in the front was buried beneath smoke and something else which he could not decipher, but the door to his right was wide open, giving him the only fresh oxygen he’d received since he gained consciousness. His main goal was to get out before his lungs collapsed and before the red flames had time to catch up to him. And so he did, he ran as quickly as he could (which was not too quick) through the door and out into the muddy surface beneath the drop from the door. Thankfully nothing seemed to hurt more than it did before the drop so he raised himself up again while trying not to think about the horrible pain in his limbs as he did so. Then he started walking whilst looking around. There was footsteps, and judging by the open cabin door on the plane somebody else must have gotten the luck to survive the crash or whatever accident which must have occured. There was only one set of footsteps though, which was very disheartening. He did not see anybody on the plane, but there was clutter and smoke everywhere and it was a challenge to see within the range of five meters. He could only hope the person who got out was alive and ready to find help.He had two choices, he could go into the flaming plane and gather his things or follow the footsteps on a quest to find the person the steps belonged to. The first option was quickly scratched off of the list when the front of the airplane bursted into a mixture of flames, smoke and splinters. The young male flung himself towards a tree in the dark setting in hopes of escaping further injuries, and he was successful in his actions which he thanked his good lord for. Before he knew it arms wrapped around his waist and pulled him into a warm embrace, it was all very rushed but as he felt himself get lifted he could hear mumbling about “safe” and “come”. Then his body and mind finally had enough and he found himself unconscious once again. - “Fuck.” A tall man mumbled as he laid Jimin down on his jacked, it was his fault. He left him abandoned because his stupid self had thought there would be population around somewhere, but instead of returning with help he found the other barely escaping his death as the plane had exploded behind him. “C’mon wake up.” He whispered, patting his cheek gently with the hand he wasn’t holding onto the male’s body with. He was his only hope, he wasn’t sure he if he could deal with all of this alone. It may have sound selfish, but survival would be easier with somebody else by your side. He slapped the unconscious man once more, but this time he used more force, hoping to bring him back to reality. The desperate auburn haired man cursed yet again when only silence filled the space between them. But the out of the corner of his eyes he saw it, the thin eyebrows furrowing, the plump lips twitching. And then finally Jimin’s eyes flickered open. He groaned hoarsely as he turned his head whilst trying to stretch out his tired limbs, but it seemed nearly impossible to loosen up his stiff body at his point. The tallest let out a sigh of relief as he saw the other finally wake up.“Hey, don’t strain yourself. We don’t want you to get more roughed up than you already are.” The auburn haired man scolden in a light tone. But he could not hide the small smile from his lips though as he watched the smaller sit up.“My name is Jungkook by the way. I was so scared that you wouldn’t wake up.” The man said, keeping Jimin steady by holding a hand around the small of his thin waist. Cat like eyes stared up at Jungkook as the other started to speak. “I’m Jimin, and I remember you from the plane. You sat next to me.” He whispered. But then his childlike stare turned into one of disbelief. “You left me there.” The smaller one of the two continued as he whipped his head away from Jungkook, a grave glare adorning his petite face. Jimin tried not to make the wince noticeable after he snapped his head away, he didn’t want empty pity from someone who clearly could not care less over the matter of his life. A warm hand wrapped itself lightly around the back of his neck, and he felt goosebumps rise at the firm grip but he ignored it as best as he could. “I went out to look for help after I saw the catastrophe, I would not intentionally leave you behind. I scanned the close by area but I found nothing but wet sand and trees. When I went to go back I found you laying by a tree unconscious.” Jungkook tried to explain himself as best as he could, not missing the cold aura the other had started to channel. “I’m so sorry for leaving you, I thought there would be people around to help. But I was wrong.” His eyes were painted in desperation as he tried to make the other look at him, but he would not budge. It felt as if minutes passed before the shorter male spoke.“It’s okay.” Jimin sighed as he looked back at Jungkook. “I just thought you couldn’t be bothered. I’m the one who’s sorry. We need to find help so I shouldn’t have started a pity fight over something so stupid.” Jimin spoke with an embarrassed tone. He had always been somebody who judged others too quickly, it was a trait he had gained from his parents.“Is it only me and you here?” He then asked while training his eyes onto Jungkook’s, hoping for a ‘no’ or at least an ‘I don’t think so’. But instead he received a solemn nod. “I believe so.” “Oh...Well, what now?” What should we do?” Jimin asked, looking around the mixture of sandy yellows and neon greens around them. The sun was shining bright, reflecting upon the waves of the sea surrounding the sand they were sitting on. He could only hear the shouts of birds and the wind floating over the water, otherwise it was deathly quiet.“I… I don’t know. I’m sorry you’re stuck here with me.” Jungkook chuckled. “I know some basic survival skills from military camp in case we get stuck here without help. But we have nothing right now, and I don’t think it’s safe to go search the plane anytime soon.” His chuckle was deep and warm, like a stream made out of warm water, it gave a sense of safety and warmth in this horrifying situation. “Well, then you know more than me. I’ve never slept outside of a house. I’m going to be a burden, but I’ll try my best to help.” A sad smile was painted on his lips as he spoke. The mentor had been right. He had romantic thoughts about a man yet again, and now finally god had left his side, abandoning him on an island to dance the dance of death.Jungkook stayed silent as he stood up. “You can rest, I’ll try to see if I can find something for us to sleep on for later.” He didn’t sound as warm as he did before, Jimin could tell he was disappointed - he would have been as well if he was stuck with his sad self on a island, so he didn’t feel particularly offended at the lack of warmth. But the feeling of abandonment grew stronger as the stress and traumatization got to him, and he found himself crying into his dirty hands.Time passed as Jimin watched Jungkook walk along the line of the green forest, all hope slowly passed alongside it. - Jungkook sighed as he leaned his head against a log he had carried to jimin and their poorly placed makeshift campsite. The moon casted an enchanting glow on the Jimin’s face and his beauty was priceless even though his pretty figure was blooming with growing bruises. He caressed his full cheeks with soft strokes as he admired the male’s beauty, his body was lithe yet strong and his plump lips accompanied with his manly jawbones created a carnal desire within Jungkook. But Jimin had shown his distaste for Jungkook on the plane when he slapped his hands away from his closeness, so he gave up his thoughts about feeling those lips against his as quickly as he could. It was more than enough to keep him calm under his touch, and the fact that the smaller felt safe enough to sleep under these circumstances due to him made Jungkook proud. He felt himself grow more tired the more hours passed, but he needed to keep watch. Who knew what could be lurking on a grand island such as the one they were left on. Although his heroic stance to stay awake, his lids eventually were too heavy and he ended up joining the other in the trance of drowsiness. - “Dear lord, I am sorry for sinning and going against your words once again. I cannot help the thoughts from showing up in my mind, please clear me from these sins and give me strength to survive this. I promise to try my best at repenting myself from being so filthy and dirtying what my family stands for.” Jimin made a sign of the cross over his chest before he stood up from his knees, brushing off the sand which stuck to his moist calves. The sun was stronger than the previous day and he had to squint when he looked over to Jungkook, but he was not met with the sight of a sleeping male, instead Jungkook was sitting there staring at Jimin with large eyes. Jimin said nothing as he walked over and sat down on the log next to the other.“You pray?” Jungkook asked after a while of contemplating if he was even in the position to ask such a question.Silence.“...Yes, my family is very religious.” Jimin answered in a monotone voice while toeing with the sand between his feet. It was obvious he didn’t want to discuss the matter furthermore but Jungkook was known to sometimes miss social cues.“Oh, I see. What were you praying about?” Jungkook asked, genuinely curious. Jimin seemed like a parents dream child and whatever he could’ve done to sin must have been something ridiculous. The mentioned male wasn’t sure how to respond, he couldn't by any means utter out what horrid acts he had performed or the thoughts going on inside of his head. That would be awfully embarrassing and he didn’t want the list of why Jungkook should dislike him to grow even longer after only one night of spending time with each other.“I can tell there’s a tornado inside of your brain right now. It’s okay, I won’t judge you. You can tell me.” He said with the sweetest of smiles Jimin has ever seen. “I can’t.” Jungkook’s smile faltered slightly but he tried to keep it up either way.“That’s okay.” He answered as softly as he could. Jimin didn’t trust him and he shouldn’t be surprised, they barely knew each other. Yet it felt like somebody twisted a knife inside of his chest. “I think I’m going to heHe wished he could be more confident in himself, he wished he could’ve just spilled everything to him. He needed to get it all out but he couldn't and it was so stupid because he knows that he should be able to. He knows he’s different, Jimin knows other people his age are more open and outspoken but he was not raised in such a way. His parents only said bad, bad things about youth this day and he was no exception. It was hard to know what was good or bad when you live in a different universe within another universe. Jimin just wanted to know how it would feel to be secure and happy. And now all of that seemed more distant than ever. Flashback; Taemin was getting ready to leave through Jimin’s backdoor again, shirt looking improper and his hair even more so. The younger boy was blushing immensely, he had never before kissed, nevertheless had an entire makeout session. Taemin smiled mischievously at the other when he saw the crimson red cheeks glowing in the dark room. “I’ll see you tomorr-” Taemin was interrupted when Jimin’s door opened. And Jimin’s jaw dropped as he saw who came into his room, his locked room. It was his dad, his very homophobic, religious and now furios dad. “Dad, it’s not what it seems like. I swear.” Jimin quickly babbled out, yet already knowing it was to no help. His dad pointed to Taemin and growled through his clenched white pearls.“Get. Out.” The older boy looked at Jimin with a face which could only be described in pity and petrification before he quickly grabbed his bag and almost ran into the glass back door before he opened it and, fast as a lightening, escaped away from the tension filled area. If this would have been a cartoon the father would have been letting out smoke through his ears and nose, that’s how furios he was. Jimin’s dad turned back to his son and looked at him in disappointment and disgust.“You are a disgrace boy, you dare to commit one of the greatest sins under my roof!” The dad roared as his eyes pierced their way through Jimin. He took a few very deep breaths as a try at calming down before he continued. “He was manipulating you boy, pack your bags and we will get you help as soon as possible. Don’t worry, you’ll be… you’ll be cured soon.” Mr. Park said, staring at his son in disbelief a few moments longer before he turned and walk out of the room while mumbling to himself.Jimin was left with tears and the feeling of agony and confusion as he moved to get his bag. End of Flashback. The black haired male was pulled into reality when someone was screaming, when Jungkook was screaming. Jimin couldn’t tell what he was saying but he could tell that he was running, and he was running swiftly, kicking sand under the soles of his feet as he moved. He didn’t know what to do, and only after a second had passed a hard grip was upon Jimin’s arm, pulling him after Jungkook. It was hard to keep up, even more hard to understand why he had to keep up. Did something happen? Are people coming to get them? He could only hope. With hope in mind his legs moved rapidly underneath him, his athleticism carrying through the dunes of sand. When they finally came near the plane and the muddy grass from yesterday which had now dried it was a lot easier to move forward. A yelp slipped past the smaller’s lips when he was dragged up a high ledge. It was a heavy few pulls until the difficult way up to the ledge was done. He looked up and he noticed that he was being pulled up into the bum of the plane they arrived with. “Jungkook, what are you doing? Is it really safe to be here?” He nearly yelled, blood pumping through his veins rapidly as he stood up. He was only met by a “Shh!” and then he quickly shut up as he noticed the seriousness in his tone and body language. Jungkook’s chest was working quickly as he moved to hide behind one of the many destroyed seats. “Quickly!” The stressed out man whispered aggressively as he grabbed one of the other’s wrists, pulling him in besides himself.Jimin stayed quiet but he could hear the beat of his heart pound loudly inside of his heaving chest, a thin trail of sweat irked him as it slowly made its way down his forehead, but he was too scared to move. He assumed it wasn’t help they were running towards, but instead he realized that they had been running from something. Perhaps Jungkook had stumbled upon some wild animals, what kind was unbeknownst to him though- he was not used to such exotic lands such as the one they were currently on.Incomprehensible muttering appeared below them, it sounded as if it was meters away but it kept coming closer and closer, at a very quick rate. Jimin felt Jungkook straighten up slightly at the sound, his muscles straining against Jimin as they sat in silence, waiting for something Jimin had no clue of.All of a sudden something scratched against the metal as several growls screeched loudly outside the plane. Jungkook jumped, so did Jimin but the first was quick to shield himself and jimin as he laid them down. His weight was heavy on top of Jimin’s and it did nothing to sooth his stressed mind, but Jungkook’s presence was enough for him not to explode in nerves as he was forced down onto the ground which he now notice was dirtied with glass and other untellable things. The drop from the open entrance to the ground was quite large, but if Jungkook could get up with little to no trouble then perhaps something else could as well. That thought appeared in both males’ minds as they laid there quietly, trying not to mind the pieces of glass trying to penetrate through their skin.A splatter of eery, implacable sounds echoed through the plane, it was as if a stream of Apollo's’ arrows had hit them. A gasp was let out, but Jimin was quick to cover his lips once he notice his mistake.Something alike shouts were sung loudly out by the ruined vehicle, it almost sounded human, almost. Jungkook snaked a shaky arm around Jimin, trying to calm them both down by the contact. But it was a difficult task as more inhumane shouts pierced their ears.Jimin moved to cover his ears once the volume increased, but as quickly as the screaming had appeared, it suddenly vanished. Leaving the two men looking at each other in shock, both hoping whatever was out there was gone but not daring to move a limb.Adrenaline was pumping through their veins, making them both breathless as they laid in silence, waiting for something to happen. But nothing did.Jungkook waited for a few minutes, intentionally pushing Jimin down so that he wouldn’t move, before he slowly lifted his head, hoping not to catch eyes on what he had seen before he got the black haired man. He was only met by broken plane junk and tarnished windows, so he deemed it safe enough to stand up, but he was meticulous in the way he moved, aware that the things could still be out there, waiting to attack the two defenseless men.Jimin followed his steps after seeing Jungkook wave him up.“What was that?” The shortest of the two asked as he carefully peeked out of the oval shaped opening. A deep set frown was making its way across his face when Jungkook didn’t answer. He circled around to watch the other, the whole situation becoming even spookier as the dark plane casted shadows around them.Jungkook was staring at the chaos behind jimin, not blinking once, while staying quiet. His eyebrows were weighing heavy on his eyes as he just stared straight ahead.Goosebumps rose alongside Jimin’s lightly tan skin at the eerie act Jungkook was displaying, it was as if he was completely gone- inside another realm of thoughts, thoughts which were more important than reality.“I don’t know.” He answered after a while, easing up the tension as he turned to look at Jimin instead of staring off into nothing. He shook his head, trying to rid the images that had imprinted onto his memory, invaded his sense of safety. “I couldn’t see clearly before they charged at me, but.. they looked like a mix of-of hyenas and humans. I don’t know, they were not human though, I know that for certainty.” He knew it sounded odd, like a lie. But it was the truth. He had walked along the shore before he decided to walk into the beginning of forest, hoping to find some sign of civilization. He’d been exploring whilst looking at the excotic nature and then he had heard something, when he whirled around to see if perhaps it could be help, he was met by the sight of those things. That’s when he had decided to run.Jimin looked incredulous at first as he dug his teeth into his lower lip, but eventually he nodded.“The sounds they were making were awful, perhaps they’re some foreign animals.” Jimin said. But then his shoulders immediately slouched as he realized the difficulties which were ahead of them. “How are we supposed to find help if there are wild animals roaming around?” He finished his sentence with a voice of despair, he didn’t want to complain because he obviously knew that wouldn’t help. But Jimin felt as if all hope was lost and being positive would not gain anything either.Jungkook hummed. “We should searched through the remaining parts of the plane, look for anything we could need. Blankets, clothes, food, articles of hygiene, you name it.” He started looking around for objects they could use but Jimin grabbed a hold of his arm before he could.“What do you mean hygiene articles? Are you planning on staying at this place? You wouldn’t survive.” Jimin probed in disbelief. “We are staying here, yes.” He pointed a finger from him to Jimin. “Because there is obviously no help anywhere near us, and we can’t just venture out into the forest where those creatures are staying.” He sighed, trying not to become annoyed. He understood the stress Jimin was experiencing. He also seemed quite sheltered, which was not helpful in a place like this. “So I advise you to start looking around. Don’t go near the damaged part though, we can’t afford to get hurt.” Jimin was confused at what he meant by the last part, wan’t everything damaged? But then he looked at where Jungkook was looking and he saw it. The minor explosion from before had created a huge gap in the middle of the plane, causing the front and the rear parts to be completely separated.“I see. I’m sorry, it’s just- it’s just a lot to deal with. I was taught god would look over everyone, but I’m not sure if I’m just not worthy of his attention anymore or if he doesn’t even exist.” He whispered the last part, at first not believing he dared to say something like that, but it had slipped out before he could stop it.The taller watched Jimin’s expression closely, seeing the hopelessness and hurt eating him up quickly. It was a shame such an angel was stuck here in hell itself. He surprised not only himself, but also Jimin when he grabbed the said male’s shoulder. “Hey.” He said, causing Jimin to look up. “If he was true, would he not have salvaged the plane? You were not the only one seated on that plane, others died too. So even if he for some crazy reason did not care for your life, don’t you think he would’ve saved the plane anyway, to save the others? We are the only ones who survived Jimin, you and I. And I think we should be grateful and not give up hope already. Believe in yourself Jimin.” The smaller man stared at the other, he had never heard something like that before. He would’ve been slapped if he would’ve been caught listening to words like those at home. But they made sense, it made sense and that made him question his entire life. If god wasn’t actually real, then was it really wrong to feel what he had felt? Who would he thank for doing good in life, himself? His lips wobbled, and he tried to contain himself, he really did try his best. But he couldn’t stop the waterfalls from raining, and the sobs from escaping. His entire body was shaking as he leaned his weight onto Jungkook, trusting the other to not let him fall onto the messy floor. Jungkook’s black shirt grew even darker as Jimin’s tears stained them, but he couldn’t care less, not when he seemed so heartbroken and was crying his poor soul out. He shifted his hands from Jimin’s shoulders to his lower back as he pulled him in closer, letting him rest his shaking head onto his left shoulder. He moved his right hand up his back a little until he reached a respectful height, then he started caressing him with slow, small circles. Hoping to soothe him at least a little bit.Jimin’s heart warmed up at the touch, he had never felt the feeling of a genuine hug, not since Taemin. The thought of him made the sobbing boy cry even harder while flinging his hands up around jungkook’s neck. Wanting him closer, craving the comfort and love he had been famished from for so long. Jungkook’s nose dug into Jimin’s slightly dirty hair as he was being pulled in.“It’s okay Jimin, shh. It’s okay.” The taller whispered into the other’s scalp. He didn't know why, but he felt extremely comfortable around Jimin already which was odd since he was usually a very closed off person. Perhaps it was because of the trauma or the honest attraction he feels towards him, but whatever it was made it easy to be around him as himself. As an exchange student from korea who studied in Texas Jungkook had needed to play many different parts to fit in, the confident jock, the smart student, the straight gentleman etc. He had no time to just be himself, and it had taken a toll on him. After two years of being in that high school he booked it, he couldn’t take it anymore. He knew things were even worse at home, but at least there he had real friends he could be honest with, and his family who dearly loved him no matter what. Finally the shorter man’s loud whales had turned into quiet, careful weeps. He stepped back and wiped his eyes with the back of his white, sand stained Lacoste sweater. His eyes were red and swollen, so were his lips. Something Jungkook tried to divert his attention from.“Right, we were supposed to look for helpful things.” They both tried to ignore the cracks in his shaky, breathy voice for his sake. But it was a hard thing to ignore when both of them knew how obviously broken he was feeling at the moment. But Jimin picked himself up and turned around to look in the food cabinet in the very rear of the plane, completely disregarding his previous breakdown. The other sighed and shook his head as he watched Jimin, who was so close to let it all out, hide back into himself again, giving Jungkook no access to his thoughts and feelings. Jimin tried to move the cabinet door, but it would not budge. He groaned as he used all of his force, pushing while gripping the small and round handle as hard as he could. After many tries the thin door finally let up and small packages of pre made food fell out from a broken fridge storage from up above the cabinet. The dark eyed male nearly shouted in joy before he realized that the pre made food would go bad within a day or with a more optimistic thought process, perhaps two days. Jungkook poked his head into the small back of the plane.“Oh, you found something already?” But as he looked down he saw what had fallen down, and the ‘oh’ then turned into an “..oh..” He picked up a plastic container filled with food and examined it, searching for anything that they could save without it growing moldy. “I don’t think any of this is salvageable, there’s already mold growing on the salad.” Jungkook said with a grunt as he threw the chicken noodles dish towards the side.Jimin then looked to see what more was stored in the fridge compartment, and he threw out all of the chicken dishes. As it seemed there was not much else left in the fridge compartment, and the young male sighed in disappointment but just as he did he heard Jungkook let out a small “yes!” He looked down to see Jungkook crouching underneath him, taking out heaps of pre-packaged bread.Jungkook held the newly founded items up so that Jimin could see clearly. “It says these will last at least a week until they go bad.” They seemed to be small pieces of white baguettes which were individually packaged in plastic. “That’s great!” Jimin cheered as he felt hope bubble up in his chest again. And with new excitement he eagerly searched for more food. They didn’t find much more by the food station, mostly just chips and snacks, but it was much better than nothing at all. And they had gathered all the soft drinks and water, so they wouldn't need to worry about getting dehydrated for quite a while.Jimin had grabbed two suitcases in which he was now trying to fit all the food and drinks inside while the other was looking for other necessities. Everything was going as fine as it possibly could in such a situation, that was until Jungkook came back with a suitcase he had packed with things they could need. But of course that was not the morbid thing which would interrupt their peace instead it was the reminder of death.Jimin looked at Jungkook with hopeful eyes.“Did you find something nice?” Jungkook had that empty look in his eyes again, the look he had adorned earlier.“I saw one, Jimin.” Jungkook answered instead of answering the actual question.“You saw what?” The shorter asked, a crease forming in between his two brows. Jungkook opened and closed his mouth a few times, but he wasn’t sure how to say it. How was he supposed to form a sentence describing the child’s burnt arm, his pale, ashy skin? The boy’s lips were dark and blue, and his eyes soulless. He could feel the child’s agony in the dead expression. Every crack through the boy’s skin told a story of how awful of a last minute he had to endure. No, he would not tell Jimin. To give this pain to somebody else would be nothing but cruelty itself. “I saw a corpse, a dead man.” He said, half of if true, the other half a lie. But Jimin did not need to know that. The male who was packing gasped an rushed up to Jungkook.“That’s horrible, Jungkook. Are you okay?” He asked, looking deeply into his black eyes before grabbing his head and pulling him in for the second hug that day.“Yeah.” Jungkook mumbled into Jimin’s neck, the position a bit awkward with his height. “I’m okay, it’s okay.” He sighed, trying to will the images away. But he was not so lucky as his mind was too occupied tracing the details of the dead boy. Both of them stayed quiet as the held each other. The reality of the situation sinking in again. People died, and they could have been a part of those people. And now they were stuck on an unfamiliar island somewhere in the North Pacific Ocean alongside other beings who seemed ready to attack at any point. It wasn’t just a dream, a horrible nightmare. This was their lives now and they had to figure out a way to make the best of it. To find help, somehow. And it would be difficult. but they would have to fight through it, they both realized as much.Jungkook was the first one to pull away this time, giving Jimin the quest to find his own hand luggage he had brought onboard while Jungkook would look for his. And so they did. - Jimin closed his eyes as he slowly let himself fall down from the ledge and his sitting position, waiting in the impact and wishing for it to go easier on him this time around. But instead, all of a sudden, he felt that same warmness he has felt everytime the male has had his arms around him, seeping though his clothes as Jungkook caught him in his strong arms.A nervous laugh fell from Jimin’s lips as he realized he was safe, and not entirely covered in sand.“You don't have to worry.” Jungkook laughed slightly. “I’ll be here to catch you. I wouldn't want to be all by my own now, would I?” He joked. Jimin hit his shoulder in retaliation as a deep blush appeared on his face. Jimin could feel the heat growing in his cheeks and whined inwardly at the embarrassment. “Asshole.” He muttered in fake bitterness while trying to glare at the other, but failing miserably when Jungkook acted as if somebody had just kicked his dearest puppy. The taller man grabbed three of the many luggages and started making his way towards the water where they had stayed the other night. Jimin grabbed the other three and after a bit of trouble getting a good grip he finally was able to start walking, but when he saw how far away his partner was he decided he wanted to run. Not that he was frightened of being alone, no… of course not… Jungkook turned his head when he heard rapid steps gaining on him, but when he saw that it was the man he thought he looked forward again. Keeping up the act of offense as he trudged through the grains of sand.A, very out of breath, Jimin caught up with the other and noticed that he was still acting as if Jimin was a criminal so with a very strained voice he said. “I’m glad I got stuck here with you at least.” Trying not to cringe at his own words was a difficult task, as well as an impossible one. But, it gained the attention of the Jungkook and he immediately dropped the act.“I’m glad I’m here with you too.” He said with an unintentionally fond voice, but quickly turning his head to look ahead when he noticed how stupidly cliche and cute it had sounded. He was attracted to Jimin, definitely, but he didn't have to make it so obvious. The two then walked the rest of the way towards their little makeshift camp in silence. You could say that was their dance, talking in comfort but as they got closer and closer they would both choose to shut down, basking in silence instead of the eventual happiness they could gain from opening up. A very sad dance to say the least. The bags were heavy, even though Jungkook took the heaviest he seemed just fine with the extra weight to carry. Jimin was another story though, and he did not want to show the trouble he had carrying them above the sand because although Jungkook probably would not be cruel regarding it, he wanted to be useful for once. He wanted to show Jungkook that he was worth helping and that he was not only a heavy force putting friction on their progress. He hoped his whines went unnoticed as he quickened his pace, moving past Jungkook in his actions. He just wanted to let hose stupid bags down, and he had better athleticism than strength so he starting jogging. He desperately tried to ignore the feeling of the bags’ corners digging into his thighs as he moved closer and closer to their camp. Finally he was by the log. He dropped the bags and laid down, his plan of not looking bothered by the weight going down the drain as he laid on his back, looking up at the sky as he tried to gain back his breath.A few seconds passed like that, just him, the sky and his cramping hands. But then Jungkook arrived with a shit eating grin, looking as if Jimin had just won the contest for being the biggest try hard- failure in history. “What exactly were you trying to gain from that? Cardiac Arrest?” The arriving man asked as he dropped the bags, noticeably more carefully than the way Jimin had almost flung them away. He only got a few groans in return as the laying Jimin was closing his eyes and putting a hand over his chest. He deserved a few minutes of rest, both men agreed on that in their minds.Jungkook looked on with an amused smile. If someone asked him what the definition of cute was, he would simply say that Jimin was the epitome of cute, cute is Jimin. The previous highschooler opened the luggage he himself had brought on board the plane and pulled out his favorite blanket, the blanket his parents had gotten for his first flight to the United States. Many memories were printed into the seams of the fabric, but he let it get soaked in sand either way, their sanitation was more important than his past memories. His current clothes were too hot for this type of climate, so he took off his shirt and laid it out on his blanket. Then, unknowing of the pairs of eyes traveling down his prominent muscles, he took off his pants and grabbed a small shower gel bottle he had packed along to have on the hotel he would stay in when he would land in Seoul before traveling to Busan to see his family. Then he walked off towards the turquoise bed of water. - Jimin saw it all go down with tired eyes at first but soon they turned large and enchanted. Jungkook looked strong, but the fact that such a body could hide behind those clothes made Jimin question if this wasn’t a dream after all.His chest did not only look hard, but it looked as if somebody had taken a pump and filled the muscle up with air. And his abdomen was a replica of the one of Adonis himself. He was the most handsome man Jimin had ever seen, and here he was, stuck on an island with him. It was like he was in heaven yet in hell at the same time. His hair glistened under the sun as the soap created small duds when it clashed with the sea water. And his body looked like it was lubed up with oil and wrapped in plastic. Once the water got to his boxer shorts it left not much left to the imagination and that’s when Jimin looked away, eyes broad and awake and his cheeks once again filled in with a deep crimson shade. He could only hope Jungkook was speaking the truth when talking about the lord's’ non existence. Otherwise his god would be furious with him for looking at a man with such intent, yet another time. When he heard steps approaching he just closed his eyes again, hoping his previous staring expedition was sneaky enough to not have gotten Adonis himself’s attention. “Use my soap.” Jungkook said, making Jimin open his eyes- but divert them quickly as he noticed Jungkook’s private parts were quite near his face. He then threw the soap at him gently, making Jimin yelp while catching it on the hair. “It’s better if we use up one product at a time instead of using them all up. So use the soap for your hair too.” Then he wandered off to grab a towel. - Jungkook’s mouth watered as he took in the sight before him. A gorgeous, strong body, detailed with soft chub and thick curves shyly made its way down towards the water. And the body belonged to the even more gorgeous Jimin, his body was a plus in the corner to his beautiful general being. Jungkook couldn’t deny the stir his body gained inside as the plump bottom moved slightly with every step he took. The small boxer briefs did not do too much to save the skin and the muscles of his glutes and upper quads from showing. It had been a long while since he had ever felt something even similar to what he was experiencing at the moment. Not since he was back in korea, several years ago. But this was different, because he was pretty sure the other had no similar interest in him. And that’s what sucked the most because he was not known to be a patient man.He leaned back onto the log, his calves creating dents in the sand underneath his favorite blanket as he did so. He was trying, both for his sake and for jimin’s, to think about something else. But nothing seemed to want to occupy his mind as much as the smaller male did, not even the horrendous images from earlier. The sun helped him dry up, but it did not help get rid of the warmth given to him by the earlier view of Jimin walking down the beach. How could he be such a beauty? - Jungkook offered to keep guard this night again, but Jimin refused to let him do that. So now he was sat in front of the other who was trying to sleep. But it seemed like he was having a rather difficult time catching his dreams.“Can’t sleep?” Jimin asked as he sat down in a crouched position next to him instead.Jungkook opened his eyes and shook his head.“The grains of my very exclusive sand pillow keeps on tumbling down. And it’s so damn hot, it would be impossible to even think about sleeping in this condition.” He sighed, a tad bit annoyed with the way his head keeps slipping down into a leveled height with the rest of the sand, his idea of a sand pillow turning out to not be the success he imagined it would be.Jimin pondered for a second.“You could rest your head on my legs if that would help.” He said with said small smile, hidden in the darkness of the surrounding night.Jungkook looked up in a drastic movement, he looked from Jimin’s thighs to his face, and then his face to his thighs. He had rested his head on many legs when he was touring with his football team during rough nights with cancelled hotel rooms, but this was different. Oh, this was very different. He almost started laughing like crazy, because no, he could not. It would only end with a disaster caused by his not so innocent mind or something alike. The other waited impatiently while he watched Jungkook look him up and down with manic eyes. He didn’t waste another second before he grabbed his head and pulled it up onto his legs, smiling at the added warmth it gave him. Jimin had gained a big love for Jungkook’s warmth.Soft breezes came in from the water, making their hair flow against their foreheads gently.. But none of them complained on the cooling and soothing air. Jungkook’s eyes flickered calmly as he looked up at the gorgeous, smiling face above him. Jimin was looking down straight at him. And so they were caught up in their own world, just Jungkook and Jimin, no strange island, no survivors, no victims to death, just the two of them. Soon enough the troublesome sleep cooperated with Jungkook and he was able to enjoy the privilege of sleeping. Jimin looked at the scene with wonder, it was amazing how the other looked so peaceful and calm during his escape to the dreamworld. But the peaceful night drastically took a turn when Jimin didn’t notice the steps sneaking up behind him all of a sudden, it wasn’t until a hand was covering his mouth and another one pulling him backwards, leaving Jungkook falling onto the sand but not yet waking up.
