Yoongi never understood why it was so popular with ARMY to catch them sleeping until he watched Bunny in his bed. It all made sense to him at that moment. Everyone should be able to watch the person they care for the most sleep and even though her being so drunk caused him nothing but problems, he was happy to have the time to look at her. He wondered if she truly understood how beautiful she was. And how she could walk around so aimlessly like she didn't matter. Bunny mattered so much to him…and seeing her so close to danger a few hours ago cemented something he tried so hard to fight. He loved her. It was much more profound than like for him, and he wished so much that it didn't. Yoongi sighed and covered his eyes with his hands while crossing his legs sinking deeper into the chair next to the bed.

It wasn’t like he had time to entertain his feelings, especially with her. She was off-limits. For more than she was a trainee and Bang PD-nim’s opposition to her being around Bangtan, but because of how Namjoon felt for her. Yoongi should’ve called it from the first moment he laid eyes on her in the orientation that Namjoon would like her. Bunny was his type. She sat there with a bored look on her face as the other trainees were so excited to see them. Not her. Bunny never acted the way he thought she would, which in part was why Yoongi believed that he liked her so much. Like when she hauled off and punched the guy in the face. It was her fearlessness and strength mixed in with such an intense trepidation that drew Yoongi to her, and he was falling deeper by the moment.

A sudden panic covered him as he realized he might get caught if he kept staring at her. Yoongi hopped up quickly and walked out of his room his heart racing. Why did he take her back to his dorm?! He should’ve taken her to hers and came back to his to sleep. Not for one moment did he think to bring her to the trainee dorms. He wanted to bring her somewhere safe and apparently, he thought that was with him. It was safe with him…sort of. Yoongi brought a whole set of problems of his own to Bunny’s life. Like the girl who tried to hurt her at the airport. When she told him that his heart dropped in his stomach.

Heat pressed against Yoongi's cheeks as he stopped in the hallway remembering that night once more. How he nearly confessed to her his feelings, and she completely missed it. Oblivious. Beautiful. He didn't even mean to say that, but he felt like he was losing her to someone else. Hypothetical his ass…Yoongi scoffed as he shuffled his way into the kitchen. He hated admitting this, but he wanted to know who this guy was. To his knowledge Namjoon hadn't confessed his feelings – he would've told him. Or she would've.“Yoongi…” Bunny cried out, her voice wobblily and breathy. He rushed back to his bedroom looking at her sitting up and rubbing her eyes, her hair falling around her head gently."Yes?" Yoongi swallowed, blushing harder. Just looking at her brought him so much joy but looking at her in his bed brought him something that he thought he left in the car. Longing.“Can I have a t-shirt?” She yawned still slurring her words. Bunny groaned and whimpered as she tried to pull the bandage dress off her body not caring that Yoongi was standing there. For a split second, Yoongi imagined her naked, in his sheets breathing heavily from the things he did to her. He thought about the sweet noises she’d make as his lips connected with her neck or taking the bud of her swollen nipple in his mouth. His mind wandered from idea to idea, each one filthier than the last. He swallowed and covered his eyes turning around, “Can you wait a second?”“I’m hoootttt…” She groaned as Yoongi heard something soft fall to the ground, then the sound of her falling back on his pillows. “Yoongi.”“Hold on!” He growled taking deep breaths. Yoongi pressed his hand against his eyes more using his other hand to guide him to his closet. He jerked it open reaching for the first soft thing he could find and tossed it on his bed,

Bunny hummed, something she did with him instead of speaking. Yoongi waited a few moments before letting his hand slide down his face and looking over his shoulder. She was already lying back in bed eyes closed, now covered in a yellow shirt.“Yoongi,” She breathed, “I don’t like being drunk.”“Are you still that drunk?” He chuckled walking over and sitting next to her, pushing some of her curls out of her face. As he was pulling his hand away slowly, she leaned into his touch and smiled,“I dunno. The world is spinning out of control.”
“Yes. You are still drunk.”"I'm sorry…" She mumbled then started to speak in English. Yoongi groaned hating that he couldn't understand what she was saying. He comprehended some words here and there, but mostly it was gibberish to him.“I’m going to let you sleep okay?” Yoongi sighed, wanting nothing more than to place a chaste kiss on her cheek…or finally do what his heart begged him to do and kiss her soft lips. She opened one of her big brown eyes and shook her head,“Don’t go.”

Yoongi sat still trying not to lose himself completely. Two words and he felt like he was a superhero. Two words and he would’ve done anything she wanted. To think that it took two words out of her pouty, pink lips to change his whole mind. He nodded slowly and swallowed,"Okay." Then he stood up slowly. Bunny started to sit up, and he laughed, "Don't worry. I'm just going to the other side of the bed." He got on top of his covers lying there staring at the ceiling wondering when his heart was going to calm down. Probably never. "Can I ask you a question?""Is it going to make me cry?" She asked while turning to look at him. Her eyes were as bright as ever. If it weren't for the slurred words and the general lack of caring, Yoongi would've never guessed that she was drunk.“I don’t think so.” He smirked turning to look at her, pushing away how much his heart ached when she cried at their breakfast. It was a memory that he thought about often...if only he hadn't pried, Bunny would've smiled all night. But in the same breath, it was that memory that brought them closer together. Bunny nodded closing her eyes making Yoongi think that she passed out. Bunny murmured that she was waiting, “Why did it make you so upset that that guy thought we were together?”“What guy?” Bunny yawned. Yoongi’s eyes opened wide with bewilderment,“You don’t remember that dude that you punched in the face?” Bunny wrinkled her nose and shook her head rubbing her eye again, reaching her hand out touching Yoongi’s face gently,“Should I? He probably deserved it.”

Yoongi laughed grabbing her hand from his face and interlacing his fingers in his. She wasn’t wrong. He did deserve it. And even though Yoongi had a position to keep in mind, he wanted to punch that guy in the face. Watching Bunny do it, with her small frame and in that little dress made him proud, even if he knew it was the wrong thing to do.“Are you going to remember any of this in the morning?” Yoongi wondered out loud,“I don’t know. Why? Are you gonna tell me the name of that girl?” Bunny seethed trying to pull her hand from his. He held on tight and smiled,“Y/N-ah.” He said simply.“What?” She snapped still irritated. Yoongi snorted trying not to laugh too hard at her. Even when she was jealous, she was cute.“Can I tell you a secret?”“You can tell me everything.” Bunny breathed with a small smile already forgetting about Yoongi’s mythical girlfriend that didn’t exist. She closed her eyes slowly as he counted to three,“It feels like ever since I met you, all of my best and worst times involve you.” Yoongi started slowly as Bunny nodded to show she was still listening, “From when you stood before me begging me to teach you the studio to right here…right now, you in my bed. I was so proud of you when you got up and sang even though you were scared. I wanted to fight that Jason guy you were in the café with before I even knew why. When Kookie told me that you looked up to me, I was so happy…then the night that you came here looking for Namjoon's shirt, I was a mix of emotions. Mad because I was jealous and sad because of how I treated you, but you didn’t care. You accept me for who I am…not just Suga or Agust D…just Yoongi. You’ve always seen me as Yoongi.”

The pale idol paused chewing on the inside of his cheek trying to decide if he was going to keep going down this rabbit hole. Bunny breathed evenly not indicating if she was asleep or awake and he closed his eyes deciding to speak because he didn’t know when a moment like this would happen again,

“Then you passed out in the studio and scared the shit out of me. I didn’t care who saw me carrying you because I needed you to be okay. I needed you to be safe. But doing that made things worse you. Lately, it’s been nothing but worse for us… like when you ignored me. I cried to Jimin because I didn’t know what to do. I had never felt a pain like that. Now, I might lose you to someone else because I’m scared of what will happen to us if I say the words that I so desperately want to say." Yoongi's face turned into a scowl as he thought about what he wanted to say next, then he looked guilty, "Then there’s Namjoon. I know how he feels for you. I’m not blind. That’s my brother…and before you it was him and I…but don’t I deserve some type of happiness with you at any cost?” Yoongi hiccupped his voice cracking, tears running down his face. He took in a ragged breath pulling her hand to his chest. He didn’t even realize he was crying. Yoongi took the collar of his shirt and cleaned himself off, “You once told me that I was worth giving everything up for…did you mean that?”

Yoongi stared at Bunny internally begging her for some type of response. A sigh. A grunt. Anything that would indicate a yes. She took a deep breath in sleeping heavily, her lips curving into a small smile. Yoongi’s heart became still for a moment as he decided that that gentle smile was enough for him. Enough for him to move forward. Enough for him to conclude that whatever cost he was going to let her know how he felt even if Yoongi was terrified that by confessing, he could lose more than what he could gain.“You, Y/N-ah…are worth giving everything up for.” He whispered as he moved forward and placed his lips on hers. It was a quick brushing, but it was enough for now. “I've decided what nickname I want you to call me," Yoongi smirked as he moved away from her, his fingers lingering on hers for a moment longer before he got out of bed altogether.

A heavy sigh escaped Yoongi’s lips as he forced himself to leave. He could’ve laid in bed next to her forever, but it was for the best that he let her sleep well. While he walked to Jin’s room, he kept thinking about how grateful he was that he stayed at the dorm instead of going home for the break. If he hadn’t, who knows what would’ve happened to her. Not that it was his job to protect or save her, but he was so glad he was able to do it. Yoongi laid on top of Jin’s bed staring at the ceiling allowing his thoughts to fill with a young woman with curly brown hair. Like usual, he heard music while thinking about her. He always did.
