Yoongi wasn’t much of a romantic. It’s not like he had any clue how to be romantic, but the fact of the matter was that he didn’t really understand how to convey his emotions to other people. He was a reserved man, and being so vulnerable and open about how he was feeling at the moment was a challenge for him. Because of this setback, his past relationships weren’t the best.Then he met Jimin. The cute hybrid, who was at the time in the form of a calico hat, had literally walked into life one night on his way home from work. It was raining, and the poor thing was shivering while desperately to keep warm while taking shelter in a cardboard. Yoongi had felt bad and allowed the hybrid to stay at his penthouse with his dog Holly for the night. One night had turned into two, until it came to the point where Jimin officially moved in and Yoongi adopted him as his own hybrid, much to his friends’ happiness.
Unlike all his other exes, Jimin was kind and understanding, and didn’t pressure Yoongi to exploit his feelings out in the open, knowing very well just how shy the older was. At times, there were days when Yoongi would stay in the studio working and not come home at all. Instead of arguing, Jimin only smiled and said, “It’s okay, hyung. I know how busy your work is, and I know how passionate you are about your career. Don’t worry about it.” Jimin was an angel sent from God himself, and Yoongi truly didn’t deserve him. So decided to surprise him to make up for his wrongdoings.Yoongi was on tour with his closest friends Namjoon and Hoseok performing in Europe and the United Kingdom, but he was so fortunate enough to score a week long break from tour, just in time for Valentine’s Day.As much as he wanted to call Jimin about his arrival, Yoongi decided that it would be best to surprise him. Prior to leaving for his flight back home, he went shopping at Tiffany and Co. for Jimin’s present. The second he landed at Incheon Airport, he made a beeline to the nearest department store and bought a giant teddy bear, a bouquet of flowers, and a box of chocolate. It was a struggle getting up to his apartment with his presents and his suitcase, but he managed. Carefully, Yoongi walked into the apartment and quietly closed the door behind him, tiptoeing into the house. He set his things down near the couch and peered inside his and Jimin’s shared bedroom.There, Jimin laid on the bed snoring gently with the blankets wrapped around him and Yoongi’s Kumamon plushie snuggled close to him and Holly sprawled across Yoongi’s pillow, his legs twitching in the air. Happy and assured and that Jimin wouldn’t be waking up any time, Yoongi slowly closed the door and began setting up the surprise.

Jimin woke up to soft lips pressing against his cheek and sprinkling kisses all over his face. Jimin groaned and squirmed away from the surprise attack, tiredly swatting his away at the perpetrator. He was exhausted from work last night and his legs were still aching. For the time being, Jimin just wanted to sleep in a little while longer on his day off. “Not now, Holly. Let daddy sleep for a few more minutes.”“Last time I checked, I’m not a dog.”A familiar voice whispered in Jimin’s ear, causing him to open his eyes and turn around. He screamed happily and launched himself into Yoongi’s arms, nuzzling his nose into his owner’s neck and deeply inhaling the sweet scent that he missed so much with his legs wrapped around the elder’s waist. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be on tour by now?” Jimin asked, though his voice was muffled by Yoongi’s hoodie.“We’re taking a short break from tour. And besides, I couldn’t just sit here and let my kitten spend Valentine’s Day by himself. I missed my baby,” Yoongi chuckled. “I have a surprise waiting for you outside, but I’ll show you only if you give me a kiss.”“You shouldn’t have gotten me anything, hyung. I have the best Valentine’s Day present right here in front of me. What more could I ask for?” Jimin pulled away from Yoongi’s neck and smiled at him, gently grazing his thumb against his lover’s cheek while his tail twitched animatedly behind him. “You know.”“I know.”
