A handful of magazines thrown out right next to his feet and Jimin didn't even jump. He simply looked past his toes to see Korean Press in big bold letters. Once again, he knew there would be some drama. Although Jimin closed his eyes again to continue his nap, his manager slapped his sock covered feet right off the table."Is there a problem?" the silver-haired male snaps the moment his feet hit the ground. "I've seen all of these before. Instead of coming at me, maybe you should tell them I haven't signed off for those pictures to be released to the public." Jimin swiped the magazines off the table and replaced them with his feet again. "Now move, you're blocking the television."The man stood tall in front of the flatscreen. It was wide enough that Jimin could see everything important except for the spec of the lower half. "Get your shit together, Park Jimin. You still have women downstairs drinking up your liquor." He motioned towards his bedroom door."Are they bad bitches? I was so shit faced last night that I couldn't even remember their faces." He let out a soft chuckle while reaching for the remote. That's when his manager dragged his hands down his face. "Maybe you can marry one of them?" Jimin winked. "That's why you're all tense. You need a bit of release.""Jimin! I am married!"The young boy snorted. "To that same girl? God, I should have taught you sooner. Better yet, should have picked my own manager. You're no fun, Min.""I think your father picked right. Now get the fuck up and clean up. You have a photo shoot at twelve to promote your new brand launch. If you miss out on that then you're screwed out of money." Min flicked his wrist at Jimin not bothering to hide his disappointment. When Jimin's bedroom door closed he quickly went to grab one of the magazines to see why his name was being slandered today. It was no surprise Korean Press kept up with every breath he breathed.
'Park Jimin Offering Minors Money in Exchange for Sexual Pleasure'
He couldn't even disagree with this. Sounds just like him. But how is he supposed to know they're minors when they're in an adult club?He was good friends with one kid who was good at erasing his mistakes. Although it cost an arm and a leg for one task the guy was still worth it.There was a moment of silence as Jimin procrastinated on what to do. His manager didn't tell him how bad the situation was. If it was harsh enough that sales in his cologne brand have dropped then he would have to take action.Fixing his shirt collar, he went over to his phone that started vibrating on his nightstand. He slid across the silk covers on his bed to reach the phone and answer the call. "Jesus Christ," he grimaced when his father's name flashed on the screen. His thumb hovered over the green button before eventually accepting the call. "Good morning Daddy!" He spoke in his false high pitch voice. The man on the other end rustled around a bit before Jimin heard the squeak of that familiar office chair. "What are you doing?" His deep voice bellowed through the phone. Jimin knew his father was not in the mood.He cleared his throat trying to sound like the sweet son he's portrayed himself to be. "Just getting ready to wash up. Why? Did something-""Jimin!" He shouted over him. "Don't play dumb with me. You're all over the press!" He could hear his fist banging on his desk tabletop. "How in the hell can you sell brands making a mockery of what I've created?"Jimin couldn't answer that. He blacks out when drunk or when being lectured by Min. It was just a habit of his he couldn't break. Even when he tries to maintain his alcohol intake there is always someone tempting him to try more. But he knew better than to step around a question when his father asked. "I wasn't trying to make a fool out of anyone, Daddy. I just... I was drunk and got a bit carried away.""A small part of me was hoping you'd say the rumors weren't true. Just a small part of me. But you left me with no choice. I'm freezing your income. The money you have in your account now will stay but any money you make outside of that will go into a separate account."His heart fell onto the bed and rolled right off and onto the floor. He couldn't believe the words coming out of his father's mouth. The man never messed with his income. If Jimin didn't think this was serious before, he knew better now."D- Dad!?""Nope. These were minors, Jimin. I covered your ass from a trial for the last time. You're grounded."Jimin was about to stand up for his rights as a human. He was a grown man. He can't be grounded; at least that's what he thought. His father was very much in control over their skyrocketing brand. Jimin was only the heir and a stunning model that helped sell it all. His earnings were made from modeling alone and a large allowance his father would gift him every month. He couldn't argue with his boss."Now what?" Jimin asked weakly while trying to gather his thoughts. He wanted so desperately to cry his eyes out due to his heart withering away in his chest."Now you go to model our new line of suits which will gift you your last paycheck until I say otherwise. From there, the daughter of a good friend will be your mentor. I think you've met her before. Kim Sori?"The name stung him like a burn from an iron. The woman he couldn't stand was very close to his company. It was impossible not to know her. He was either being read emails from her or sending them on a monthly basis. The two never met formally but through the wire, they never got along."I know her," Jimin said through clenched teeth. His father cheered on the other line in amusement. "But why her?""Oh, Jimin-si! My eldest son, you have quite a lot to learn from this woman. Twenty-three years old and just became the CEO of our cologne creations. Her bottle ideas and fragrance pitches are what got us where we are today!"Jimin was proud that their fragrance line put them on the map as much as they could go but he knew better than to believe it was her that got them there. His father has always been great friends with The Kims. Even did a collaboration for their lingerie line. The girl was just like Jimin. A bunch of underbosses or consiglieres."Do you hear me, son?""Yeah. Model, last paycheck, and Kim Sori.""Don't disrespect her boy. You both are on the same level.""Was she as rich as me?" He thought. "She couldn't be. It's just perfumes and clothes." Jimin has to have made most of the revenue for that. He has to be better than her. It was his future business. Not hers.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"What do you mean you didn't get my measurements!? I sent them on Tuesday!" Jimin hollered into the phone as Min sat back and read off his tablet. The older man would occasionally look up at Jimin hoping he'd keep it down during the ride."No! I can't send them again! The photoshoot is today! Does that mean they don't have my suits ready?" He then jerked the phone away from his ear to see if they hung up. "They put me on hold Min! This is my last fucking check for god knows how long. They're messing up my money!"Min scoffed while scrolling down the page. "Pitiful on their end. It's not like you don't do that enough on your own." Jimin looked around for something to throw at him but found nothing. "I checked ahead and they said they have a few extra suit sizes and one of them are bound to fit.""It's funny because it's your fucking job to ensure this shit goes through." Jimin went ahead and hung up the phone since his patience with those people were growing thin. "It could be anywhere from too tight to too small. This shit can't get published.""They need the pictures edited and cleaned by next week Thursday. Park Line must be a full-blown magazine by then or you've let many investors down."Jimin couldn't help but roll his eyes. He knew very well Min was right. He couldn't allow a minor, in his case a major, slip up halt the magazine publications."You never know. They might edit the photos good enough to make you look fit in a suit." Min winked at the younger boy and went back to reading his online book. The rest of the ride was quiet beside Jimin's fingers hastily hitting his phone screen as he tried to send out a mass number of texts to all his friends. Min swung out his arms to adjust the suit on his shoulders. He even went on to fix Jimin's tie since the young boy fiddled with it often during the ride.Jimin fidgets around as Min's arms reach over his phone screen. "The press is outside this door ready to throw you all types of questions about the recent news. If you're not going to answer the least you can do is look good for the photos." Jimin glanced at him before shoving his phone in his pocket. He lifted his head up further so Min could adjust his tie a bit better and button up a few popped buttons on his collar shirt.Min got out first when the bodyguards opened the door. Jimin emerged with a smile on his face. He bowed and waved to everyone present. The lights from cameras didn't even phase him."Park Jimin! Do you have any comments on Korean Press publicly slandering you?" He continued to brush through the crowd. "Park Jimin! Were you aware that those girls were minors? Did you sleep with any of them? Is this some sort of desperate phase in your life?" He looked back at whoever said that but his smile altered this time. "Park Jimin!"Min allowed the large glass doors to close behind them. They were shielded from the public although Jimin could still hear them screaming at him. "Desperate?" He spat while fixing his cufflinks in the elevator. "Do they really think my orgy parties are me acting out of desperation? I'm a man who loves sex and everyone knows that! Their parents had to have sex for them to even be born! Were they desperate then?" Min rubbed his shoulder weakly hoping that'll get him to calm down. "Now I'm heated all in my Dolce and Gabbana.""Don't tug at the collar," Min warned without looking his way. Jimin knew Min had a list of all his habits sorted under that salt and pepper head of his. They were categorized by Jimin's emotions during the time. The young boy slowly removed the smooth material from between his fingertips and brought his hands down to his sides. "When do I have to meet with Kim Sori," he slurred her name in disgust."She's actually a model in today's shoot." Jimin felt light headed and a bit nauseous. "You're such a kid," Min grimaced. "It pains me to leave you alone with her but I have to go to a banquet in support of my son's mixtape release."The two of them step out of the elevator and into the long hall with few doors. Each room contained a private setting that cost thousands to rent out per hour. The Parks spent money just by walking."Ah! Yoongi hyung. Tell him I said congratulations. I would call him but I think he blocked me." Min smirked at that. "And I might just have to hire a second manager. You leave me at the deadliest of times. I might murder her today."Min rested his hand on the doorknob but didn't open it. Instead, he gave Jimin a warning look which would be followed by a small scolding. "Remember when your father said to respect her. You're already grounded. Next, I believe he'll be taking money from your account this time. So from now on, until he says otherwise, we will be budgeting.""You know my money better than I do," Jimin jeered."That means no more sex parties every weekend. These are too expensive. No more shouting "all drinks on me" when you get wild on a Thursday night and no more high-class whores from the den, Alright?"Jimin nodded once and Min pushed the door open. "I can live the poor life, Min. That's nothing." Min gave him a quizzical look as his silver hair swayed past the older man's chin.Anyone knew that wasn't technically being poor. It was called being stripped of things the average human doesn't need. But for Jimin. His little brain craved it."I have arrived!" He cheers while sliding out of his suit coat and allowing two women to rush behind him to catch it before it touched the ground. "Let's get this over with. I have important matters to take up."The woman he's been dreading to see turned in her seat making the makeup artists scramble to catch up with her. "This is the perfect time to start bribing The Jeons into discarding any magazines that involve you and your sexual tendencies don't you think?" Jimin followed her voice and snorted when he locked eyes on her.Sori's eyes were opened slightly in a seductive tone and light brown hair pinned up in rollers which gave exposure to her slim face. Her make up was completely made and body wrapped in a silk velvety red robe. She sat in the plush chair with her legs crossed over the other and arms doing the same."No~" he lied.Sori raised her eyebrows in disbelief before standing up to collect her phone. "Good. Only an idiot would think The Jeons could control what Korean Press publishes." Jimin surely did feel like an idiot at that moment. "Now hurry and let them fix you up. You look like you've been running in the wind for hours."
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
'Sori Not Sori'To Jimin, it was such a cheesy play on words that just enhanced his speculation that she carries the basic literary skills of a toddler. Although the header of her blog made his spine crunch, he continued to search around her page for anything else he could lay his eyes on. The words, 'Blog Spot' seemed clear enough to click it. Pictures began to load and he was becoming pleased with the visuals. The first picture that popped up was her chest covered by a silver slip loose enough to expose cleavage. She held a wine glass delicately in her right hand, it was also one-fifth full. The caption, "Red wine makes my stomach hurt plus there's nothing better than being able to see yourself through waves of drunk emotions." He tapped his chin trying to figure out if he should label her as an alcoholic or a social drinker. No one else seemed to be present on the white sofa so alcoholic it was.One quick scroll and he was on to the next photo. This one made his eyes widen with shock. She was in a dark room with another man, and they were kissing. Jimin didn't take her as the type to actually indulge in relationships since he knew she had a stick up her ass. He adjusted his glasses once more and took in the grainy background that had a brown couch, and rose petals with heart-shaped balloons. "An anniversary," he jotted down on his notepad. He then highlighted the caption and practically choked. "She's a freak!" He exclaimed. "Parties in New York are worth cheering over but nothing makes me scream louder in the weeks that I spend with you." He chuckled quietly to himself and tried to backspace the heart emoji. "What's love, Kim Sori?"The next picture was posted three months ago. Sori was at a dinner table with one of her friends, he assumed. They seemed to be having intense orgasms over the food in front of them. At least that what it looked like by how they were screaming to heavens. "Please don't tell me you both shared two waffles and a cheery float?" He zoomed in on the picture with ease. "Concerned about her weight also."Scrolling became immensely boring since he wasn't finding anything worth ruining her for. Just when he was about to log off, he noticed there was a large gap in the time frame. Her post went from three months ago to ten months. He rubbed his hands together like a fly the moment he read the caption under a picture with her and her "boyfriend.""Funny story. I told my baby that we were having a baby and he began to ramble about how excited he was. By the end of the night, he asked me about my modeling career. I said "you don't think I'd be a good model with a bump?" he said that I should be more concerned with our bundle of joy stealing the spotlight. Lol. He's the best I could ask for."Jimin snatched his journal off the table just so he can get a good writing angle. "Kim Sori is a mother!" He chanted to himself. "Unbelievable!" His hand went up in the hair then behind his head as he tried to maintain his excitement. Something about this information gave him hope that their next conversation would be worth recording the look on her face. He knew she would get sensitive since a child is something she's never introduced to the world. But Park Jimin doesn't mind stirring the pot. ` "Park Jimin! What the hell!" The sound of his name caused him to peel his face off his laptop keyboard to locate the noise. "You have a bad report coming in from Sori and you barely met her!" Just as he realized that was Min's booming voice, the man was already in Jimin's office with his hands crossed over his chest. "And are you sleeping!?"Jimin stood up while snatching a sticky note off his shirt. "Bad report?" He groaned and wiped his drool. "I barely know her!"Min wasn't having it and as always, it never looked like he was. The older man pulled his phone out of the pockets of his slacks just to read out proof that Jimin surely followed no body's orders. "He acted like a spoiled brat who was untouchable and unprofessional." He glared at Jimin over his glasses. "I would like to have a meeting with him and his father due to the fact that I am not one to do business where I am not needed."The stare off was intense as they both did their best not to go at each other's throats. Jimin got the first words since it was clear he had to explain himself."Well... she's being dramatic. I didn't act like a spoiled brat! I just didn't know the rules. They had us touchy-feely and that wasn't in the description. At one point I was told to take my shirt off to give the pants more attention." Min groaned while shifting the weight on his feet. "Bullshit! Everyone's going to be paying attention to my hot ass body! That's what sells!""If it sells Park Jimin then it fucking sells! We're not here to sit and discuss what makes us comfortable! This. Is. Business! Your father's business to be exact."Jimin rolled his eyes for the first time today which landed them right onto what he was up all night doing. His eyes widened as if he had the best idea in the world. A second passed and he realized he seemed stalkerish. He snatched the journal off his table and swung it in the air while running to Min. "As you can see I am trying to get to know her. I was up all night finding out interesting things to talk about with her. You know, be her friend.""You're only saying this cause you know your ass is in trouble," Min jerked the journal from his hand. "What the hell is this shit?"Jimin pointed his small index finger at the words circled and written over in a sloppy mess. "Uh..." he started while running his hand through his messy silver hair. "Some of this I was writing out of anger and some I can't really... read. But I remember that she has a blog and everything."Min smiles weakly before patting Jimin's back harshly. "I'm so glad I sent my son to a public school."The younger man took the journal from Min's hand and scanned through his research. "Kim Sori, daughter of Kim Ko. Her brother, who she never mentions on any of her personals, is a former model for Burberry who soon fell off the radar. Sori also runs a blog where she talks about lame shit. From the dates, she went on a five-month hiatus, and also has a kid-""She doesn't have a kid," Min spoke over him.Jimin scratches his head then quickly logged back into his computer to make sure he read everything right. "No, you're wrong. Says right here she told her boyfriend, who is a nobody, that they were expecting.""She doesn't have a kid Park Jimin." His voice was more scornful this time which made Jimin snatch the glasses off his face. He realized he dove into a subject he knew little about but that doesn't mean he'll stop there. "Just focus of the questions for this meeting she's holding instead of her personal business. I recommend you type up one hell of an apology."Just before Min could walk out the door, Jimin slammed his laptop shut. This caused the attention of anyone nearby who could hear it. "Why do we need her? There are tons of other investors and smart people who can think twice as fast as she can.""The Kim's aren't easy people to get rid of." Is all he said before closing the glass door to Jimin's office. ` That one name sent chills down her spine. Sori knew now that she was dealing with the biggest idiot in the business. "If he's going to be a creep about it the least he can do is make sure he's logged out of his account."She tossed her phone on the desk in front of her before continuing to type out the email for Mr. Park. She wanted this meeting to be quick so she can get back to business. Of course, she knew her father would lose his mind if she resigned from being CEO of Park Line. All she really wanted to do was scare them a little.
