“Shogetsu," Masamune said grumpily, but the tiger didn’t raise his head. He just looked at Masamune, his eye half-closed, sleepy spite written on the face.“Shogetsu, get out of my futon."Masamune knelt down and tried to move the tiger, but the only thing he got from Shogetsu was a grouchy murmur.Normally, he’d just kick the tiger out, but lately he’d been soft on him. Everything changed after Ieyasu’s visit. Shogetsu wasn’t that old yet, his head was only slightly greying, but-He sighed.After all these years he deserves some luxuries, Masamune thought, scratching the tiger’s neck. Since Shogetsu lost an eye protecting him, they really looked alike. A man and his cat. Shogetsu was a loyal companion.And he knew very well his master wouldn’t force him out anymore. But the futon was too small for both of them. It was too small even for Shogetsu alone. The tiger didn’t mind it though.Masamune sighed again and simply went for a spare futon, laid it out and jumped under the sheets before Shogetsu had a chance to hijack it too.
