The Movie Theatre
They'd just finished watching Happy Death Day. Kirishima was always easily scared by horror movies, and Bakugou unfazed by them. He was clutching on the sleeve of Bakugou's hoodie whenever a jump scare happened. Being manly was of no concern. After all, it was just them two alone in a movie theatre. The movie had nearly ended when Bakugou turned to him."You're always so spooked by jump scares, shitty hair," Bakugou scoffs."You're just immune to them, Bakugou," He sighed, "There's no way you could sit here blankly staring at the movie this whole time. Come on.""Actually I can," He rolls his eyes, "It was harder keeping a straight face while you grab on my sweater for an hour and a half than it was to ignore the jumpscares.""Lighten up dude. What'd you think of the movie," Kirishima looks up at him, still clutching onto his arm through the credits. Bakugou wasn't going to shake him off. The position had been becoming comfortable anyway."It's a good movie. Would've been better if you didn't finish all of the popcorn within the first 30 minutes.""I can't help that I stress eat during movies!" He reasons, "And it's pretty difficult to eat popcorn from the popcorn hog.""You were the one hogging the popcorn. The movies over anyway," Bakugou looks around, "Was the theatre always this empty?""Nobody else came to see it anyway. It's the emptiest theatre in town," He laughs, "I don't like seeing horror movies anyway; It was your idea.""Well, I didn't know that dork! It's the only theatre that was playing the movie within a 10-mile radius. And nobody sees matinees apparently," He shrugs, "I didn't think by seeing a horror movie I signed up to be fondled by you."Kirishima blushes slightly before smirking, "Well then why didn't you stop me?"Bakugou looks away, turning bright red and attempting to shake him off. Bakugou knew exactly why he was going to allow Kirishima to clutch onto him. Most people would barely be able to be within a 2-foot radius without having their arm blown off, nevermind clutch onto him.Kirishima was catching onto that. His friend had gone from never allowing anybody to touch him to allowing him and only him to do basically anything. Even when they were paired up in class for projects, Kirishima was his first choice."I did," Bakugou says calmly, "But you didn't let go, shitty hair.""Oh really, because it didn't seem that way," He chuckled, "Or maybe you weren't trying hard enough.""Acting like you're not the one who was doing the holding in the first place," Bakugou leans back, attempting to look relaxed. His heart was racing just from the touch that lingered."You let me do anything. I could probably kiss you right now and you wouldn't protest," Kirishima says challengingly."You wouldn't dare try it, shitty hair," Bakugou smirked.Kirishima leaned in and quickly kissed Bakugou's cheek, "As if."Bakugou was at a loss for words. Kirishima was correct; he didn't protest at all.
The Carnival
"Let's start on that," Kaminari points up to a machine that spins people with a wheel in the middle"That's called the rock and rumble," Sero begins to walk with the others towards the machine."You guys are stupid. We need wristbands first." Bakugou rolls his eyes and walks to the ticket booth to buy wristbands for everybody. When he returns, the others are near the front of the line."Really? Come here Kami," Mina puts the band around his wrist and then another around her own, "It's not that hard to put a sticky bracelet on yourself.""I get it, my last four brain cells are not the most functional," Kaminari laughs, "But they're mine and I will be keeping them. Combined we only have 20 cells maximum so you have no room to talk.""Tickets please." The carnival worker sticks out his hand."We have wristbands, dumbass." Bakugou holds up his hand and walks through."Wait! I still can't get mine on," Kirishima jogs through the entrance to the ride with the wristband in his hand."Is putting on a wristband really that hard?" Bakugou sighs and grabs Kirishima to put on the wristband, "There.""Thank you, dude!" Kirishima smiles and sits down. The others follow."So if I spin the wheel this way you'll all..." Kaminari trails off as he plays with the spinner."I hope all of this spinning doesn't make me nauseous," Mina giggles and takes out her phone to record, "You guys ready?"The ride starts and all of them turn the car as fast as possible.Eventually, they get off the ride. Kaminari and Sero had practically sandwiched Mina most of the time, while Bakugou had been propelled into Kirishima. Kirishima and Mina both stumble off red in the face due to this."I'm so dizzy," Mina sat down and took out her water."I had a blast! It's not as cool as the Cinderella's teacups version in Disneyland." Sero and the rest of them sit on a fence behind her."That was too tame for my taste," Bakugou jumps off the fence and begins walking towards a large ride with cages, "We're going to the zipper. You're all weak if you thought that was all the fun we'd be having here." He looks up to the ride, "So, who's up for the challenge?"Sero and Kaminari look to each other, "Fine. We'll go just to prove to you how easy this is." They both go on.They stumble off of the ride, dizzier than before, "How do you find that to be fun? Now my head hurts," Kaminari stumbles to the bunch with Mina.'"See, I could do it!" Sero says, right before tripping over nothing."Yeah right, tape. Who else thinks they can handle the zipper?" Bakugou turns to Kirishima, "Well there's only one left."Kirishima steps slightly backward before being tugged by Bakugou, "Come here."They both end up in the cage and the ride starts, "This ride is a lot smaller than I expected." Bakugou grumblesIt begins to flip and flip and flip, "This might not have been the best idea," Kirishima looks around"Or you're just not up to the challenge," Bakugou smirks. Suddenly the ride stops them, luckily flipping them right side up."Holy shit," Kirishima manages to say before the ride starts up again. He quickly grabs Bakugou's hand as it starts.Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly?) it's sweaty. Either from his quirk, being nervous, or a combination of both. It's a spur of the moment and barely thought through choice.“That’s more like it,” Kirishima whispers, barely audible to BakugouWhen they get off of the ride, Bakugou quickly turns to Kirishima, "What was that!? Payback for the movies?! Somebody could've see-"Kaminari walks over and interrupts him, "So Mina is uh..." He gestures to her with a bucket of popcorn and Sero holding her hair back."Sick?" Kirishima jogs over, trying to get out of talking to Bakugou."Ruined it, Sero." Bakugou walks away to grab a snack of his own, fed up with the circumstances.
Studying
A few days later, Kirishima had asked Bakugou to study with him. Bakugou knew his friend wasn't the best of students in his class, and as the rank 3 student in the class, it wouldn't do any harm to help out his friend. Most of the class preferred to study with Momo or Iida, but it had become common for Kirishima to ditch the crowd and study with Bakugou."Hey, Bakugou," Kirishima sat down next to him and took out his binder, "So I was wondering if you could help me with Earth Science since all these charts and numbers and whatever are confusing.""Earth science? That's a breeze. Okay so first you'll need to look at these plate boundaries The ones off of Japan knock into each other and cause our earthquakes." He raises his hand into a fist, "If you smash your fist into mine, that's a convergent boundary. Now if our hands were like this," He holds his own hand and separates them, "They would be divergent. There's some that slide past each other but they don't matter.""That's simple. But what if the plates just" He puts his hand on top of Bakugou's, "Stack?"Bakugou barely moves his hand and deadpans, "Then the plates are having some serious issue and it's doomsday. A plate can't emerge from above another plate.""Why not?""Because that would be like if Asia floated above Africa and then fell on top for no reason. That would kill the entire continent below." Bakugou chuckles slightly, "And I highly doubt the continents are sentient or have quirks.""It's a joke," He laughs, "But if the continents had quirks, Asia would be more concerned with fighting with North America than it would be with topping Africa."Bakugou flips the page, "Earth science is easier if you think about it logically. Also, you need to use the reference table if you want to do well. Apparently, I got an 80 on the pre-test solely from using the reference table. Do you carry one in your binder?"Kirishima flips through his binder to find a reference table for a few minutes until he notices that he, in fact, doesn't have one, "Shit. I don't keep one in my binder. Aizawa always hands one out for tests and I prefer the searchable PDF version." He sighs and stands up, "Does this library keep any?""You're ridiculous, shitty hair. But actually, they do," Bakugou begins to walk to the back shelf with bins of various reference materials, "It's like a goldmine back here. Take whatever."Kirishima reaches to grab the paper and turns around to Bakugou waiting for him."What are you doing?" Bakugou asks, "That's the wrong paper, dork. Shelf four on the right, not shelf five on the left."Kirishima puts the sheet back and grabs the correct one."There you go. You know what I've wanted to do in a secluded area of a library but never got around to?" Bakugou asks.Kirishima looks around, slightly confused, "What..?"Bakugou takes a few steps forward, making Kirishima back up into the shelf, "This. If you want to know, it's payback for the damn carnival.""What are you-" Kirishima starts, but is quickly cut off by Bakugou kissing him.He should've expected that. They called it the make-out corner for a reason. And he was the one who kissed Bakugou's cheek at the movies in the first place. It was just the next place. They broke apart, briefly looking into each other's eyes, an air of mystery and discovery around them."Bakugou, I j-" Kirishima starts"Boys, will you please get your materials and go?" The librarian snapped, causing both to turn bright red and scurry away as fast as possible.
Party City
"Costume parties are so fucking stupid," Bakugou huffs"But the parties tonight and we still don't have a costume. Maybe if we're lucky, afterward we can grab a bite," Kirishima turns to him as they walk into the store, "Where's the costume section anyway?""It's directly ahead, dumbass." Bakugou walks ahead of Kirishima towards a wall full of photos of people in costumes and boxes."So what type of costumes are we doing?" Kirishima scans up and down the aisles."We?" Bakugou turns to him, "I'm probably going to do... this," He walks and picks up a king costume."A king? That's pretty on brand if I'd say so. I'm doing this one." Kirishima picks up an MMA fighter costume."And your bitchass costume is a pair of shorts and a belt. That's the most you costume ever." Bakugou rolls his eyes, "Let's just try this shit on.""Okay," Kirishima and Bakugou walk to their dressing rooms and put on their costumes."I'm ready," Bakugou walks out of his dressing room. The king costume has a large red cape with white trim, a tight black cropped shirt, and red velvet pants."You really do look like a king," Kirishima gasps with a slight blush."It's hideous! Who in their fucking right mind would wear this? I'd be better shirtless than with this thing on." Bakugou sighs."Then take off your shirt," He suggests, "It's not like you need it. How's my costume?"Bakugou looks him up and down a few times, careful not to stare at his abs for too long, "It's fine. Better than mine.""So you like it?" Kirishima smiles."No. Let's just try something else." Bakugou walks back to his room and takes off his shirt. The costume still wasn't up to par. After a few minutes, both Bakugou and Kirishima are back to looking at the costume wall."So what now?" Bakugou paced the wall with Kirishima, "We have only 3 hours or so. Why should I go to this party with all these extras doing karaoke and dumb shit?""Because it will be fun, Bakugou! And you never go to parties," Kirishima smiles, "Please?"Bakugou rolls his eyes, barely convinced, "Tch. I'll go. Only because you're begging me to, shitty hair.""Well we're already in the store so it wouldn't make sense if you didn't go anyway. How about we wear these?"Kirishima holds up two costumes: A red riding hood dress and bonnet, and a wolf onesie."I'm not wearing a fucking dress," Bakugou squints, "Who the fuck do you think I am?"Kirishima giggles and hands the wolf costume to him, "Here. Wear this," Kirishima turns and goes into his dressing room."Whatever, hair for brains." Bakugou goes to his dressing room and puts on the costume.Kirishima walks out first and quickly grabs a basket, "I think this looks hella cool!"Bakugou walks out of his stall and turns bright red, "Wow, Kirishima."Kirishima spins around, "So how do you like it?"Bakugou smiles and looks down at his feet sheepishly, "I think it's fine.""Come on," Kirishima walks over and tilts his head up, "You know you want to say I rock it."Bakugou looks him in the eyes, "Just say how I look!" He says, voice slightly raised."You're manly as always. I say you should be the wolf," Kirishima smiles and takes a step closer, "But should I be little red? I think I should."Bakugou smirks and takes the bonnet out of his hand to tie it onto his head, "Obviously.""Ha," Kirishima laughs before tugging the middle of Bakugou's onesie and whispering, "And this is payback for the library."Kirishima kisses Bakugou, and then they hear an employee turn the doorknob, causing Kirishima to run back to his dressing room, and Bakugou a blushing mess.
Arcade
Kirishima calls Bakugou's phone. It's a Saturday afternoon and he has nothing else really better to do. “Hey Bakugou! Want to go to that new arcade down the block?” Kirishima asks.“The arcade? And what makes you think I'd like to go there instead of staying at my place because…?” Bakugou says dryly.“Because it will be fun! And I'll be there,” he says with a wink, which Bakugou can't hear over the phone.“So that should convince me to go?” Bakugou rolls his eyes, “It's going to snow soon.”“Even better! If we get stuck by the snowstorm at least I'll have a friend by side,” He says cheerfully.“I'll fucking go. But I'll also smoke your ass while I'm at it,” Bakugou sighs and goes to walk outside.“Where do you think you're going to so quickly without your mother’s permission, Katsuki?” Mitsuki stands in front of the door.“The arcade with my friend,” Bakugou rolls his eyes and tries to walk past her.She locks the door, “Who's this friend? You never have friends usually. Are they your girlfriend ” she teases.“Kirishima, and he's not my girlfriend. Now let me go.”“You’re leaving all the damn time! Why are you in such a rush?” Mitsuki says angrily.“Let me fucking go. You should be happy I'm making friends, don't be a dick about it.” Bakugou huffs and stomps out the door.Eventually, Bakugou finds Kirishima on a bench in the arcade, “Wassup dude.”“What took you so long? You're 15 minutes late, I can't believe you left me waiting.” Kirishima smiles, “But I'm glad you're here now.”“My mom thought you were my girlfriend until I told her to stop being a bitch.” Bakugou starts walking into the arcade, “Anyway, let's just start. Come on.”“How many tickets should we get?” Kirishima walks up to the machine, “I brought $25”“$20 for games and $5 for extras.” Bakugou puts his $20 in and gets 20 tokens. Kirishima follows and does the same.“Mario Kart?” He looks to Bakugou and walks towards 2 motorcycles.“Fuck yeah!” Bakugou sits down and slides in the amount of tokens needed. They begin to race their cars. By a slim margin, Bakugou wins. They play again, and then move to play Basketball head to head.“Why are you doing so good at this, shitty hair!” Bakugou shouts, 4 points behind Kirishima.“Or maybe you just need to practice,” Kirishima laughs and continues. The final buzzer rings and Bakugou slams the ball down, “Fuck!” He screams, a small explosion going off in his hand, “Again, shitty hair!” He challenges and puts another coin in. This time he wins, “Ha! See how good I am? I beat you by 3!”“Only because I went easy on you, blasty,” Kirishima laughs.“Then let’s go again! I will beat your ass!” Bakugou enters more coins into the machine and presses play. This round, Bakugou won by 10. He smirked and turned to Kirishima, “I guess the first round was just beginners luck.”“You’re so competitive. Let’s try something a bit less competitive.” Kirishima turns to a photo booth, “Photo booth?”“A shitty photo booth?” Bakugou glares at the photo booth, “Seriously?”“Just to commemorate today,” Kirishima grabs Bakugou’s wrist and tugs him into it, much to his dismay.“You’re so pushy,” Bakugou sits inside as Kirishima inserts his dollar.“It’ll give us three seconds between each one. Let’s be creative,” He smiles and presses start. For the first one, Bakugou crosses his arms and Kirishima smiles with a thumbs up.“We look like fucking dorks,” Bakugou laughedThe second photo snapped a few seconds later, Kirishima crossing his eyes and Bakugou flexes with a wink. The third photo comes, Kirishima quickly puts bunny ears on Bakugou at the last second, and Bakugou does the middle finger to the camera, blushing slightly.“That wasn’t even too ba-” Bakugou starts.Kirishima kisses him quickly for the last photo, “Payback for Party City,” Kirishima giggles and prints 4, 2 for each of them. He quickly opens the curtain and walks out and nearly bumps into Midoriya, “What are you doing he-”Bakugou opens the curtain, still bright red, “Why are you here, shitty Deku?”“I think the real question is…” Todoroki looks them up and down, “Why were you two in a photobooth together?”Kirishima turns to Bakugou and quickly hands him the photo strip.“Shut the fuck up!” Bakugou shouts before stomping away.
Skiing
"Come on, we've got 15 minutes to get to the shuttle," Kirishima knocks on Bakugou's door, knowing nobody is home."Ugh, five more minutes, don't freeze yourself out there." Bakugou opens the front door groggily."You seem pretty tired, dude. Did you just wake up?" Kirishima sits on the couch in the living room, "Your hair is messier than usual.""Yeah because I just woke up. You have no room to talk, shitty hair." Bakugou sighs and walks back upstairs, "I'll be down in 5."After a few minutes, Bakugou comes back downstairs with his bags, "I'm ready. Let's go, the shuttle's only 2 blocks down."They step outside into the cold as begin to walk to the bus."You ski a lot?" Bakugou asks."Sometimes I ski with my brother, but only once or twice per year," Kirishima says as the bus pulls up and they step on the bus."Hello and welcome aboard the Jimin Ice Express. Please acknowledge all emergency exits for your 30 minute trip to Mount Naeba. I hope you enjoy your trip."Bakugou takes out his phone, "30 minutes in this? There's not even a charger.""Well then you don't need to always be playing games," Kirishima chuckles."Whatever, hair for brains." Bakugou groaned, putting in headphones. When they arrive at the lodge, their roles seemingly flipped: Bakugou had dozed off and was leaning on Kirishima, who was on his phone."Wake up, we're here," Kirishima lightly shakes him, "We've gotta get up to the lodge."Bakugou grunts and mumbles, "Five more minutes""We're at the lodge and everybody's starting to get off the bus," Kirishima pulls his arm."Fuck off of me!" Bakugou makes a small blast, causing Kirishimas arm to harden."We can get up to the lodge and rest all we want." Kirishima stands up and takes their bags, "Let's go."Bakugou opens his eyes and jumps up, the bus nearly empty, "Fucking hell," He sighs as they both walk into the lodge.Kirishima pays and gets the keys to the room, "So we're room 315. Let's take the bags up and hit the slopes."They arrive in the suite and it only has one bed, "This... Is the right room?" Bakugou looks around confused, "Bastards. I'd kill them if I was here with anybody else. Let's just go to the slopes," He walks into the bathroom and gets his warmer clothes on, Kirishima doing the same."Blasty, come on. It'll be midnight if you continue at this rate." Kirishima sighs, just at Bakugou walks out."Which direction?" Bakugou looks between the two signs and smirks, "I shred all of the slopes here, so whichever slope you want to do I'll do. Just let me go to the harder ones when you're finished.""I can do any of these slopes, I'd bet you! How about we go the Devil's Decimation, the 3rd hardest slope, and then work our way up from there?" Kirishima begins to walk to the hard tracks, "Unless you're scared to race me on the slopes?""I'll beat you at that too!" Bakugou shouts and runs down the path, Kirishima tailing not far behind him."Ready?" Bakugou turns to Kirishima and he nods his head, "Then game on."He smirks as they go down the slope. Kirishima is a bit slower than Bakugou, who is boosting himself down with smaller explosions, but both make it down successfully."And I win. Again?" Bakugou goes over to him."Yeah. And next time, I'll be winning. No quirks next round." Kirishima walks towards the ski lift and sits down, Bakugou following a few seconds after."Your cheeks are so red, is it really that cold?" Bakugou looks his direction, mostly looking at the other mountains by glancing at Kirishima ever so often."It's because I'm not always hot like you. Hardening doesn't warm anything," Kirishima chuckles, "And so are 90% of the people's here too.""That sounds shitty. This ski lift is so tiny, shouldn't I be giving off some heat?" Bakugou sighs."Yeah, because being half warm is perfectly fine," Kirishima jumps off the lift and trips over, "Ouch.""Get up, hair for brains, or else I'll go down without you." Bakugou scoffs, reaching out his hand to help Kirishima up."You say that and then reach your hand out," He sighs, "Classic Bakugou. Round two."Bakugou rolls his eyes as they get into position, "One... Two... Go!"They race down the hill again and again. Right before dusk, they're racing one last race. Bakugou has 15 wins, while Kirishima only has 10 between all three tracks."Final round. You're going down," Bakugou stares intensely down the hill."Oh really?" Kirishima says, "Then let's get started"They race down the slope for the last time. Bakugou nearly falls over at the end, but still lands in first with Kirishima a very close second."I'm unstoppable," Bakugou says, dramatically taking off his helmet."For today; Let's get back to the lodge, I'm so cold."They both go back to the lodge, the night setting in. Kirishima lays down on the bed."What are you doing?" Bakugou turns to him, pulling on a nightshirt."Warming up. I'm pretty cold from being outside for hours."Kirishima gasps as Bakugou lays down next to him, "How bold of you. You've been pretty bold lately, Kirishima," He smirks and lays down."What do you mean," Kirishima's eyes dart up and down Bakugou, "Bold?""You know what I mean. Bold.""Like what?""Like this," Bakugou kisses Kirishima slowly, savoring the kiss. He pulls back and whispers, "That kind of bold. Double payback for the arcade and Party City kind of bold.""Well, that was payback for getting caught in the library," Kirishima sighs."Idiot, I was paying you back for the carnival," Bakugou smirks."Which was just you striking back for the movies!" Kirishima laughs, "Just admit that you like it when we kiss."Bakugou rolls his eyes, "No.""Well, then I'll kiss you until you confess you like it," Kirishima leans onto his chest."You wouldn't. Then you're not paying me back," He pouts.Kirishima leans on and whispers, "How about you just become my boyfriend and it doesn't need to be payback.""I'd be good with that. Maybe having hair for brains is a good thing sometimes," Bakugou smiles, "Now come on." He kisses Kirishima passionately, knowing it's the beginning of something more, "Goodnight, Kiri."
