Work Text

The morning was the most tiresome yet exciting time for Izuku. No matter how taxing hero work could be or how draining it is to constantly be in the limelight of attention, he would always wake up well rested. It could have always been attributed to constantly waking up beside his husband who would love to sleep in any time he could. Izuku could remember just how beautiful Kacchan looked while deep in sleep, how he would look so at peace while he dreamed. It didn’t hurt that Kacchan would always cuddle beside Izuku when he slept, always pounding him or at least having an arm around the smaller man’s waist. The morning is the most relaxing and mundane time for Izuku. Being the Number One Hero was exhausting yet he had his support system to always refill him. Such a system being his loving husband Kacchan. Yet such a system has stopped working. While it was no surprise that Kacchan would work the night patrols, he would always make it a mission to make it home on time enough to share some time with Izuku while they both would still be awake. Kacchan started working later than usual but in such an erratic manner that it troubled Izuku to the core. It started one year and a half ago when Izuku received a call from Kacchan telling him he would arrive home late. Izuku questioned Kacchan a litany of times when such occurrences would transform habits since the agency Kacchan worked for had his schedule unchanged. Izuku checked with Kirishima to verify if it had stayed the same. Izuku had berated Kacchan for overworking himself expecting Kacchan to reply with his famous snide remarks but was met with aggression. Izuku had let the matter alone since then in fear of not waking up beside his husband. The biggest solace Izuku had in the current shape of his marriage was that Kacchan was still there in the mornings. Unfortunately in their bed he would keep his distance stating that Izuku was too fucking warm or that he needed his space to relax. It didn’t help that their sex life had become scarce with Izuku finding release alone. When he would engage such acts Kacchan would either play along yet having no passion, doing it more so as a chore thus forcing to make Izuku get creative which led to the other factor. Kacchan would outright refuse to have sex stating that he is already stressed enough and would rather not deal with such clingy or strange acts. Thus Izuku gave up the eccentric acts and settled for the normalcy of sex since it was a time when he would be near Kacchan without retaliation. The morning was the most depressing time for Izuku. His inattentive husband had taken it upon himself to start waking up early. So early that if Izuku slept through his “special” alarm he would miss his husband leaving. Thus making it so he would wake up alone, cold and sullen. Intimacy became rare, his husband would barely hug or kiss him unless he would start crying in public. It took Izuku to cry in a public park for him to finally have some form of intimacy with his husband. Izuku was running out of options since he felt that his husband was getting more and more aggravated with every passing day to the point where he would not even text him he would come home late. He actually never told him anything anymore, so much so that he hasn’t had a long conversation with his own husband for months. Izuku is not stupid. His friend Uraraka had pointed out something dreadful on one of his stories about how Kacchan refused to take the dinner he made for him and how he dumped his lunch in the outside garbage that Izuku himself had prepared. She hesitantly juggled the idea to Izuku that Bakugou was probably cheating. Izuku had also entertained this idea for a very long time but had never found any concrete evidence to pin against his husband to be sure. He once brought up such an issue only for Kacchan to throw him out of the room for being so stupid as to think that he would fuck someone else when he has a slut at home. Izuku had cried himself to sleep that night, only to wake up to his husband making breakfast and profusely apologizing for being so irrational. They had loving sex that day so Izuku left that topic alone as well. While Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki all had shared their opinion on the matter Izuku still argued that he was content. Izuku was not envious nor jealous but he couldn’t help such feelings from festering. He would go to various parties with his friends from U.A. that worked in the same agency or others. He knew Kacchan hated going to these “get together s” as he referred to them but would still tag along after Izuku had begged enough times to wear him down. Nowadays Kacchan would vehemently refused stating he needs sleep since he is the one actually working or he would never respond since he would still be at work. So he would end up the single man or the alone married guy in the parties. He would observe how Inasa would always be the light of the parties, being extremely loud yet passionate in his demeanor that would border the thin line between acceptable and irritable. His husband Shouto would only watch barely participating in any of his partners antics yet would always coil around the bigger man when he would finally calm down. He would observe how Iida would always catch or handle Uraraka’s bubbly personality which could get out of hand with a few drinks. They were a nice balance in which she would be spontaneous and energetic while he would be rigid yet understanding. So much so that they sometimes would just talk with each other while Inasa would be giving a speech about how adorable Shouto is while working. He would observe Kaminari and Kirishima and how they too were a great balance. Kirishima being the epitome of joy while Kaminari would be the sarcastic yet aloof man he was. The glances that they gave each other spoke volumes especially when Kaminari was boasting about how amazing he is at a mission, which was quickly fleshed out by Inasa that Kaminari made things better by clearing a path to the civilians yet shocking drenched heroes in the process who fought off the water-quirk based villain. Finally would be Mina and Sero who while both single would party with each other so hard that they never felt the feeling of being alone. Izuku had stories, he always shared them with Kacchan since he was usually there with him. He also used to snuggle with Kacchan when he got sleepy from playing games, he used to get tipsy relaying on his husband to take care of him, and he used to look at his husband with passion which was always received back. Yet being with his friends, Izuku was content. Izuku wanted such feelings to stop, he had full faith in his husband that it would pass. He was his Kacchan, even if he changed from those three and a half years of marriage they shared. He could deal with whatever was happening for longer if he was able to get his husband back. He tried a multitude of things but once again he would be faced with an indifferent man or an agitated man. So he has only time as his final playing piece before he finally gave up. Thus he kept saying he was content even if he was dying in the inside. So he had only one more surprise before he lets time fully take its toll. He has to bring it up to his husband as soon as possible. This morning had been different for Izuku. He woke up to the fidgeting of things around the desk that was to the left of their shared closet. He sprung up to life finally seeing his Kacchan. He quickly ran up to hug the ash haired man who stiffened by the action yet slowly welcomed it.“Good morning Kacchan!”“Good morning nerd.” Kacchan replied in a low tone. Izuku frantically switched positions with Kacchan so he could finally face him. “Kacchan would you like me to make breakfast? Fatgum actually gave me a brilliant recipe that you might actually like since I have been lacking in spices recently. I mean I guess that if you don’t want any food now I can always go make you lunch I mean. Which reminds me I have something really impor-”Kachann quickly pulled away from his husband slapping his hand in agitation. “Just shut up. I am already late as it so no I don’t need anything I will just grab something from the cafeteria.” Izuku winced from the slap. He looked at Kacchan with such an incredulous look that it even baffled his husband. Izuku could not stop the tears from flowing. He dropped to his knees at such as fast pace that not even Kacchan would catch him. Izuku began crying heavily on the floor with some shrieking and gasps escaping his lips. He never acted this way before, even after Kacchans constant bereavement or even after he was told to kill himself. Izuku never reacted in such a way that he even surprised himself. “Get up okay? Jesus how are you this dramatic this early? God just shut up okay I am sorry I shouldn’t have yelled at you it's just that I am getting my ass kicked at work okay. I am stressed is all so please just stop crying. You know I never like when you cry it's always so fucking annoying but it also hurts me since it makes me feel inadequate.”Izuku was vaguely listening to his husband but his crying was to still too much for even himself to handle. How long was he this broken? Kacchan bared his face in front of his crying partner but to no avail. He didn’t realize that he was gripping his partner that much until he saw Izuku’s arm start to turn red. “Fuck just stop crying okay. I will take the fucking weekend off so that way we can go someplace or stay here and do nothing but be with each other okay? I will also see if you can take the weekend off so that we have entire days to do whatever you want.”Izuku perked his head up, as if finally his brain registered something he wanted to hear. Yet he couldn’t stop his sobbing but nodded wildly as to contrast his sad state. Kacchan smiled at him and planted a kiss on Izuku’s lips. It only served to make Izuku cry harder but for a different emotion entirely. He finally got up with help from his husband so he could collect himself. “Finally. Christ you know you cry a lot right? Too much for the Number One Hero so you better shape up or else I will take away that title okay Deku? Now clean yourself up and get ready for work too since I can’t be the only provider. Bye nerd.” And with that Izuku was once again alone with the click of the door being locked by keys. He finally made progress! While he would’ve liked to spring the surprise sooner than later it was perfect that his husband could get at least even just two days off. Well In actuality unlike Kacchan, Izuku had this day off since he was ordered by the agency to take one day off at least so they shouldn't mind him also asking for another two right? He quickly got the housework done while diligently avoiding mirrors since when he finally cleaned up he saw himself in the bathroom mirror. He looked disheveled, like he had been crying for days, plus not sleeping for days as well with bags being far too noticeable for his own good. He tried to take several naps but his excitement would just keep him up. He was finally going to spend time with his husband for two whole days! His excitement was cut short when his phone ranged. His mind went to the worst possible scenario. That Kacchan was calling only to say that he couldn’t get the time off and that he would try again next week only for it to never happen. He quickly grabbed his phone trying to prepare himself for the worst. “Hello?”“Hello Midoriya. I know you have today off and so do I. Inasa isn’t home yet so I wanted to invite you over. Especially since we haven’t talked in a few days” Came a deep voice that belonged not to Kacchan but to Todoroki. The relief that exuded from Izuku was immense with him dropping on the couch landing on the newspapers he had on the home. “Uhhhh sure. I have nothing to do I even started to categorize newspaper in alphabetical order. Actually can I ask for a favor?”“What is it?” Todoroki inquired.“Well I couldn’t tell Kacchan about wanting to adopt but we will have the weekend together so I will tell him then. I just need help preparing for it since I am so nervous. Is it possible if I sleep over today I don’t want to be alone right now I am too excited so I need to distract myself.”“Sure. I will let Inasa know that you are staying over. And also congratulations on finally being able to get him to listen. So come over and we can discuss it more.”“Thank You Todoroki. I will be there soon so don’t wait up too long.” Izuku ended the the call much to Shouto’s surprise but he knows how energetic his friend is.
Izuku is beaming. Not only is his husband being more attentive but he is also going to be with his friends. Finally after closing himself from some of his friends who enjoy the pleasures of marriage or a relationship at all he too can enjoy it. He knew he was being selfish for closing himself off but he couldn’t help it but now just like how Kacchan was opening up again so will Izuku. Finally things are going his way.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Katsuki Bakugou should be the perfect man. Is currently ranked the Number Two Hero, has an expensive home filled with luxury and a perfect fan base who will eat anything he gave them. Others would envious of his life, not only due to the giant success he is but also for his romantic affiliation. Katsuki is married the Number One Hero: Deku, who also happens to be the Symbol of Peace for the nation. While also being the poster child of perfection and innocence for the young kids to model after. He would constantly hear not only civilians, but also Pro-Heroes discussing his husband in great detail. The most common topics would be how wonderful Deku is, how kind of a soul he is by always looking to protect anyone who is in need. Others would comment on how adorable or sexy his husband looked in his skin tight uniform, or in his regular thrift shop clothing. It was always Deku this, Deku that, or just Deku. Katsuki could still remember the emotions he felt when he had finally confessed to the nerd. He was a nervous ball of doubt trying to ask the nerd out, but every trace of insecurity had vanished from his system when Deku had kissed him as a response to the confession. The road to marriage was an easy one, they barely had fights that would leave a dent in their overall relationship thus making their love the strongest and purest in all of Japan. Immediately the media had tried to make it a scandal that the two heroes being together would be controversial, but unexpectedly more and more LGBTQ heroes started coming out to the public. Thus the majority of Japan saw the two heroes as their national treasure, the ideal of what a healthy marriage should look like. Katsuki loved the perfect man, and he hated it. The spotlight was always on Deku, whether if it was work or if it was in a party, Deku would be the star. Katsuki was not one to be jealous, although Deku did get the room, Katsuki would still get attention from some people who were interested in him solely or if they were going to meet Deku after him. Plus he had a very doting husband who would praise every little thing he did all the time, a habit which carried from their childhood to the present. But still Katsuki was never satisfied being referred to as Deku’s husband, more than his own name. He couldn’t really say when it happened but something had turned in his head that shifted his entire view. Katsuki was aggravated by the perfect man. The warm smile, the loving embrace, and those gorgeous eyes from his husband had given him great passion but now everything seems different. He can’t stand to look at his husband. The moment he realized this, he felt a violent anger when meeting the smaller man’s gaze. Katsuki immediately closed himself off from his husband’s usual affection. He felt disgusting, so repulsive he forced himself to throw up. How could he feel such anger towards the man he loved, the man he swore to protect? He would further distance himself from his husband, far too many times that when they finally had sex, Katsuki felt he was doing it with a stranger. He didn't care for the smaller man’s pleasure in that moment, what he was hearing were muffled cries of pleasure from someone else, someone who could not best him. He puked that morning. He felt revolted that while he was fucking his husband, he was picturing some random person, someone who was not Deku thus they would never be compared. He hated himself for such a complex or whatever that was. He was jealous of his own husband, for being the perfect man while he himself was only fine compared to the shining light that was Deku. He started coping with his stupidity by indulging himself on alcohol. He never truly liked the taste of any of the drinks served at the agency after hours but he still took advantage of the possibility of being numb. He loved his husband so much but he also hated him to a certain degree. The warm feeling of love was twisted into jealousy and rancor by his own ridiculous standards of himself. At first he relied on the agency liquor to quell his inner turmoil but soon enough he found himself going to bars that were in walking distance to his home or the agency. There in the bars he felt great. He would constantly be hit on by various strangers who were too drunk to recognize him or were attracted to the idea of being with a Pro-Hero. Men and women alike would constantly flirt with him, even when he would decline all the offers, they still kept trying to get him to go home with them. Of course some people saw that it was Ground Zero, the man married to Deku thus making it so they would not approach him or just thank him for his work. Katsuki fell to the clutches of temptation one night. It was a very curvy man who sported several tattoos on his arms and legs. He was not the most handsome man but he was still very well built with muscles rivaling his own. They went to a motel due to Katsuki drinking far too much than he should have but still handled it better than most. When it was time to deliver, Katsuki threw up on the man. He realized in his lustful stupor that he was about to cheat on Deku. He gathered his stuff and quickly left the motel running to their own home late at night. He fell into temptation once again. Although swearing off on going to clubs that would not stop his drinking habit which became almost second nature to him. One day while doing paperwork, the agency was asked to convey to the common room for an important discussion. As people started to pile up he saw his friend’s faces alongside the extras who were trying to go Pro. It helped that Katsuki worked in Endeavor’s agency unlike Deku who worked for his own agency made by himself and several classmates from UA. That way he could get as wasted as he wanted without having to see his husband try to take care off him, since even just the short moments at home had made him agitated. The head of the agency when Endeavor was not around had introduced the heroes and sidekicks to a new member of the agency. His name was Yai Kiftsu, a rather small man who seemed timid in stance but his eyes showed great ambition. Yai was to be a secretary to the high ranked Pros, helping with the paper filing since both Kirishima and MIna complained that they would drown in paperwork. He would work with four top heroes, of course them being Ground Zero, Red Riot, Gale Force, and Alien Queen. Yai was an attractive guy, sporting chocolate brown hair, with vibrant hazel eyes that seemed like contacts. One day when Katsuki was drinking himself stupid, Yai had taken notice and tried to take care of the man. They shared a nice conversation about heroes and even All-Might who also happened to be Yai’s idol since childhood. This routine went on for quite some time, with Katsuki drinking instead of going home but in company of a strange man who had luckily never brought up Deku at all. His sole focus was Katsuki, and that made the Pro-Hero swell up with pride and arrogance. The young man would later confess to Katsuki in hopes of getting a positive answer while the hero was drunk. Katsuki had kissed the man with rough vigor, surprising the new employee yet who relished in the affection. Katsuki dismissed the man's love confession seeing that he was already in love with someone else. The young man tried to reason with Katsuki that it would be fine, that he could live without dating thus he proposed the idea of being fuck buddies. Katsuki rejected the offer immediately although his previous action would have hinted otherwise. The younger man was persistent, that could have been assessed by the Pro-Heroes who he worked for as seen as he was always on top of his game. Yet Katsuki knew he was persistent with every action that the younger male did in close quarters. When in meetings he would always sit next to Katsuki with his hand resting on the hersos thigh. Going ever closer to his groin until Katsuki would swat it away. Katsuki had slept with Yai after a confrontation with Izuku. The nerd had virtually accused him of cheating which left Katsuki distraught. He felt guilty, for ignoring his husband, for being so terrible, and for actually being right. Days after the fight Katsuki had taken the offer of Yai, in which case they met in the young man’s small apartment. He could not remember much of the affair besides that Yai would constantly praise him, just like how his husband would do. They continued having sex for months, with very little fooling around in the workplace since Katsuki knew that if this affair would break out, the media would blow up in a big scandalous frenzy. Of course he had his own troubles with Yai, such as him being too clingy and needy when they are meant to be working or how Katsuki was too rough in bed. Katsuki almost broke it off because he felt that the younger man was only developing stronger feeling for the hero while he himself felt nothing for the young man besides pleasure. Yai quickly tarnished such emotions from Katsukis mind, thus they continued to fool around. But as time progressed, and as more as he saw less of his husband, the more daring Katsuki became with Yai. He had allowed Yai to suck him off during work since Katsuki could always use the stress relief since his husband was working twice as hard making the gap even wider. He would fuck Yai’s throat mercilessly whenever he saw an interview of his husband being pampered by the media while his husband looked like he was not getting enough sleep. He hated himself for being the most shit husband but his pride could not let him redeem for his actions. It was the very same day that Izuku had broken down in their bedroom when it happened. It was the same day that he promised he would be a better husband, finally seeing the toll he put on his partner by being reckless. This day he swore he would cut it off with Yai, that he didn’t need it anymore and would get him fired since his work was becoming sub par since first joining the agency. But that all changed when Yai began talking about Deku. He came to the agency expecting nothing really but the usual with Inasa giving unprovoked speeches while Kirishima and Mina would gossip in their corner. This time they were talking with Yai about Deku, and how great he was on the Scarlet Moth mission in which he had busted a big criminal circle that dealt with opium. Yai had the same look that everyone else had when seeing Deku, absolute admiration. This pissed Katsuki to no end with him actually sequestering himself in his office until he needed to go to patrol. Such a duty was boring especially when nothing happened but he was in the company of Kirishima who would not stop talking about Denki. He was going on about how he tried to make toast but ended up burning their new couch. Kirishima then told him that he was happy that his best bro was being so nice to the new guy especially because Katsuki was always the first to get on peoples nerves with his “stunning” personality. Katsuki said nothing in return only huffing as a response. He was surprised that no one had at least questioned him or Yai as to why they are so “close” while working. Mina could technically be the only one who noticed since she keeps joking around how she swears he spends more time with the new guy than his own husband. Mina had apologized several times, since such a remark made Katsuki fume to the brim, hands being covered with explosions. He knew she wasn’t stupid and most of her jokes came from a place of truth or suspicion. Although the other heroes brushed it aside as a tasteless joke, Katsuki knew that she was suspicious but not ready to confront him about it. When patrolling was done he was met with a concern Yai who closed the door of the office, making it only them two by themselves. He asked what was wrong, or why he was ignoring him. Katsuki stayed silent trying to email his boss if he could get the weekend off just how he told Deku he would. Yai then took his silence as an invitation to go on his knees to undo Ground Zero’s pants. Katsuki didn’t stop him since he needed the release. As the blow job progressed, Katsuki glanced at Yai who also gazed at Katsuki with that look he saw this morning. He pushed Kai to his desk forcing him to swallow his cock in a very violent manner. Yai was too stunned by the action that he could barely adjust to the speed gagging some bit. He also could barely hear that Katsuki was growling various things. He swore he hear the man say “I bet you would like it more if it was him wouldn’t you? You fucking whore!” Being too confused on who Katsuki was referring too, Yai only bobbed his head on the dick invading his mouth. Both were too deep in their own fantasy to not hear the door suddenly opening. “Hey Bro so I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner, and was wondering if I sho-” The room became silent. Too silent with what was going on. Kirishima had caught Katuski cheating with the secretary. Katsuki quickly threw Yai out of his desk, doing his pants in an instant. Yai being flustered by doing such indecent things while in work, had only apologized to Kirishima as he ran out the room. Luckily for Katsuki, everyone else in the building had left expect those other two besides himself.“What the Fuck?” Kirishima had all but yelled towards Katsuki. This would be the first time he saw the redhead with such anger on his face, which was usually always accompanied with a smile. Katsuki never had feared the man, since he knew he was too much of a soft guy to ever be mean to people who didn’t deserve it. Thus making him feel very scared at the moment.“Is this why you fucking are always with him? Fucking god, Mina was actually fucking right. She said that you possibly were having an affair with Yai. But I was too stupid to notice so I dismissed what she said. I even fucking defended you with bullshit excuses. What the Fuck!”“Calm down Eijirou. It was nothing okay. I was going to stop it anyway.”“How fucking long?” That question was the one he had hoped he would never have had to answer ever. But he knew he messed up already so he needs to own up to it, that being the least he could do. “For at least nine months”Kirishima punched the wall next to him in his rage. “Is that why you fucking missed all the fucking parties? Why you fucking missed your own husband’s birthday?” Katsuki could do nothing but nod, feeling the pit of his stomach drop. He forgot his own husband’s birthday and their anniversary which was two months ago. “Eijirou look its’ over okay I will--”“No you don’t have to explain yourself to me, but you have to somehow explain it to your fucking husband.” The silence grew after he had been interrupted by his friend. Kirishima started crying, out of sheer frustration that he pulled his hair while wailing. “Did you know that I fucking held him as he fucking cried when you never showed up? Denki and I tried to comfort him the best we could, even fucking telling him lies that you were busy on a big bust. I covered your ass for you so fucking long.” Katsuki did not speak up, he knew he had no right to say anything to the man who had supported his husband while he was fucking around with someone else.“When we had that fucking sleep over at Momo’s, after everyone went to sleep I could hear him crying. He fucking cried himself to sleep only to be smiling the entire morning the next day. He was hurting so fucking much and you were fucking getting your dick wet. How could you?” At this point Kirishima was screaming so loud he coughed from straining his voice. Never had Katsuki seen his friend on such a broken state. But he could only imagine how Izuku looked after being disappointed so much. Katsuki could not make eye contact with the man in front of him since he kept seeing the eyes of a frustrated guy who was grieving, not even for himself, but for a friend in pain. “I fucking cradled him while he broke down one night when you failed to show up to a dinner that you fucking planned. How could you be so fucking heartless? Do you not fucking love him anymore?”“I still fucking love him okay! I love him so fucking much, I jus… I just fucked up.” Katsuki was began crying. Which surprised himself but instead of composing himself he let his emotions run through. He never cried, not even when his grandparents died. Not when he had almost lost Izuku on a mission, not even when he had gotten married. He never cried, but now he couldn’t stop the tears.“I’m leaving. And I will get him fucking fired for unprofessionalism and I hope all you get is suspension for being so stupid.” Kirishima began walking toward the door but stopped midway for one final remark. “I will also let Izuku know what you have been doing since he fucking deserves to know what his fucking husband has been up to while he was pouring his heart out to a man who spat on his efforts” With that Kirishima left Ground Zero’s office slamming the door leaving the man inside to reflect on his actions. He hated the perfect man, but not as much as he hated himself.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Excitement was far too noticeable in Izuku’s eyes. The hope of a better tomorrow, or a better relationship to come is closer than he expected. Still he cannot lie that he feels a great deal of anxiety or nausea about being the adoption papers to light. He had thought about adopting for so long but he felt that there was never a moment to bring it up to Kacchan, either it was he was never home or the blond would snap at Izuku for failing to make his point. As the Number One Hero, Izuku should have far more confidence and more a of backbone, but when it comes to his husband it never functions. He seems to always melt to the touch or slight form of affection the other can give to Izuku. Thus he made it a mission that he will absolutely stand his ground this weekend and thus hopefully proving his assertive demeanor more than before. A loud obnoxious buzzing of Izuku’s own voice has permeated the entire home with its ascendance. Izuku quickly ran to get his phone expecting it to be Shouto, being as impatient as ever asking why he isn’t on his way already. After rummaging through the neat pile of clothing placed by their bedside cabinet, Izuku quickly answered the phone without looking at the caller I.D. “Hello?” All Izuku heard on the other line was a small whine that did not resemble Shouto’s baritone voice. “Who is this?” “It’s Kirishima. Deku I have something to tell you so please be ready and promise not to freak out on me and do something stupid okay?” His voice was hoarse as if he had been screaming at the abyss hoping to get an answer back from the void. “Sure I promise. Are you okay? DId something happen at work?” A cold chill ran up through Izuku's spine expecting the worst. “Is Kacchan okay? Was he hurt?” “Deku please just……… We are fine but I have to tell you something okay and it will not be pretty. But everyone is safe.” Kirishima had emphasized through the phone in hopes of calming the the Symbol of Peace. Hoping it would lessen the blow he was about to give. “Okay you had me worried for a second. So what happened and why do you sound weird?” “Kirishima's gut was slowly eating him. Should he tell his friend that his husband is cheating, possibly crushing the man or not say anything at all and let the man just wallow in ignorance. But as a man Kirishima has to be honest, no matter what consequences might yield from his actions, he will take responsibility in taking care of Deku. Of Course with Kaminaris’ help as well. “Izuku. I am so sorry I have to tell you this but you have the right to know and as a man I cannot let him get away with such actions. Izuku tonight when I was closing with Bakugou, I had went to his office, hopefully inviting him to dinner so he doesn’t eat alone but I found something else.” Kirishima took a small pause feeling emotions starting to rise once again. He has to be strong for Izuku, not the other way around in this situation, so he has to get a grip. “Izuku I am so fucking sorry but I caught Bakugou cheating on you with our secretary. I am so fucking sorry I just…. I am sorry…..” Kirishima could not help his emotions and started crying, having the mental picture of Bakugou looking so affectionately during the top Hero’s wedding, to him fucking their secretary. Izuku for lack of a better term felt strange. The revelation of his husband cheating should be the greatest shocks to him yet he felt slightly disappointed. Why was he not bawling like Kirishima, or why wasn’t he angry at Katsuki. Why did he feel numb? He finally was able to form words to the other man on the line. “How long?” His voice was extremely calm, almost eerily too soft for the situation that he is currently dealing with. He wasn’t sure what to do. “For apparently a year and a half. That son of a bitch has been cheating on you for so fucking long. I'm so fucking sorry. Why didn’t I fucking notice it earlier. I am such a terrible friend to you I should have done so much more but I thought everything was fine and it isn’t.” Kirishima was currently plagued with failure and Izuku felt a pang of disgust and compassion. Why was he so remorseful for his friend, why was he blaming himself for his friends stupidity. And why is Izuku not referring Katsuki as husband. Was it because it was all a lie? “Kirishima please don’t blame yourself okay? You are wonderful and don’t you forget it alright. Please it will be fine I promise.” “No it fucking won’t! He is such a dumb ass why the fuck would he do that? And also why are you so calm Deku? Please don’t tell me you are going to forgive him so fucking easily please don’t!” “I don’t know. Right now I feel nothing. I’m sorry but I don’t feel anything and it's scary.” Kirishima finally got a grip. His friend was numb to the pain and did not know as to why he was. How can he call himself a man while doubting Izuku’s emotions although unorthodox, they are still confusing. “I should feel angry or sad but I just feel empty. Could it be because I always had a feeling that he was cheating on me? Or is it because I broke down this morning so now I have no more tears? I don’t feel anything which is terrifying.” “Izuku I’m sorry I shouldn't have insinuated that you did not care. It just to me to surprise. Would you like to stay with Denki and myself tonight? Just so you don’t have to face him please. I beg you don’t answer any of his phone calls okay I don’t want you to forgive him so easily or for you guys to fight.” Kirishima although being very considerate was placing thoughts into Izuku’s mind that he did not need. He had already felt his marriage slipping away but he did not see how broken it was. He doesn’t even know if he still even loves Katsuki. Since if he truly did love him, shouldn't’ he be more sad about his infidelity? “I appreciate the offer but I will be fine. Shouto already invited me over his house I will probably stay there. Sorry but I will go and visit you guys when I can okay?” Izuku did not feel like himself. He felt like he was someone else entirely. His reactions, his speech, he did not feel like himself. Why? “Sure that's fine but text me or call me when you get there so I know you are safe play? I know you are the best hero but I would be a mess right now so I want to be there for you.” Thank you. But I have to get ready I have to leave soon. Thank you Eijirou, for telling me and being such a good friend. Thank you for comforting me all those times but I should learn to cope with things myself right?” Izuku gave a small small laugh as a sign or reassurance. They said their goodbyes with Kirishima pestering Izuku to not let Katsuki into the home of Todoroki or how he should leave instantly so Katsuki does not catch him before he leaves. Placing the phone on his pocket Izuku started packing his things, still no tears shedding as he is going away from his life. His dream life. ~~~~~Music Cue For Song~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~How have I come to this? How did I slip and fall? How did I throw half a lifetime away, without anything thought at all. (Izuku starts placing his clothing in a small suitcase. He looks at their wedding photo that is besides the cabinet. He looks at Katsuki and how loving he is staring at Izuku who smiling brightly for the camera.)This should have been my time, it's over it never began. (He then grabs said picture and takes it out of the frame. Pulling it close to him as a memory of what happiness was with Katsuki. Thinking if it was even real.I closed my eyes to so much for so long and I no longer can. I tried to blame it on fortune. Some kind of shift in a star. But I know the truth and it haunts me. Its flown just a little too far. (He then continues packing up his belongings accidentally grabbing one of Katsukis sweaters that Izuku would always wear. He looks at it and smells it for a brief moment, still having the tinge of Katsuki. He then grabs one of Katsukis old shirts he did not put in the laundry, smelling it as well. The stretch was of alcohol and a foreign smell that he could not remember. Probably from the secretary that Kirishima told him about. He threw way the two articles of clothing to the side.)I know the truth and it mocks me. I know the truth and it shocks me. It's flown just a little too far.(He stares at other pictures of them together as a couple. Noticing that the most recent ones that both had participated on, had a change from the early ones. Izuku still bared the bright smile he always did. But Katsuki did not show an emotion besides a scowl on his face. He isn’t even looking at Izuku)Why do I want him still? Why when there's nothing there. How to go on with the rest of my life to pretend I don’t care.(He places the suitcase on top of the bed, the side were Katsuki slept on. He could still smell the others cent, longing for it to show affection once more but knowing that it would never happen. The then threw a pillow at the picture of the Wonder Duo, expecting the media to harp on their issues.)This should have been my time. Its over, it never began. I closed my eyes to much for so long and I no longer can. I tried to blame it on fortune. Some kind of twist in my fate. (He picked up the pillow but noticed it landed on the adoption papers. He felt sadness overcome him but also a sense of relief. He would not get a child with Katsuki which was the plan all along but now they won't have to bring a child into their destructive relationship.)But I know the truth and it haunts me. I learned it a little too late. Oh I know the truth and it mocks me. I know the truth and it shocks me. (He then places his wedding ring by the adoption papers. But once again he is met with a picture of Katsuki in all his glory.I learned it a little too late. Too late.(With that he took his things. One last look at his dream home before he never returns. Locking the door) Izuku had to give the key back to the landlord otherwise it would be irresponsible. The conversation was awkward but their landlord was a very understanding woman who understood his reasons for leaving. He paid his half of the lease effectively removing himself from the home. And thus is the journey to Shouto’s house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shouto heard a soft knock at the door. Knowing it was Izuku he quickly made his way to the door to greet his great friend. When the door opened Shouto was taken by surprise, what he saw was his friend but alongside him was a suitcase. “Hello” Izuku’s greeting was weaker than the usual brightness that was the Number One Hero. Shouto invited inside without another word. They took a seat on the most fancy couch Izuku has seen but then again Gale Force and Shouto made brilliant coin from hero work and the inheritance from the Todoroki family. “Why the suitcase? Did you guys get kicked out of the house?” Shouto inquired. Izuku had taken a moment to try and open up to Shouto what occurred. He took his time trying to form the words but his brain was not functioning properly with his mouth. Shouto was a patient man so he could wait as long as he wanted to. He was about to bring tea for the both of them but Izuku quickly piped up. “I was wondering if I could stay here for a while if that is okay with you and Inasa?” Shouto once again was taken by surprise by the shorter male. “Sure we have more than enough space for that but if you don’t mind me asking, what happened? Where is Bakugou?" Shouto pushed forward trying to get answers to try and understand the situation. Izuku made a pact that he would develop his backbone, and so he has to develop it sooner than he thought. He started telling Shouto what had occurred according to Kirishima’s phone call. Shouto listened attentively watching how Izuku told his story of betrayal with a stoic demeanor. He knew something was wrong. “Izuku why are you doing that?" “What do you mean?” “Why are you so unfazed by this. He cheated on you Izuku, you have the right to be upset so why are you acting strong?” Izuku froze at the comment. Was he deluding himself that he didn’t care because of how others would perceive him? That he can’t show weakness as a hero? “I don’t understand what you mean Todoroki. I feel sad but for some reason I just don’t feel anything. I have already cried enough times for that man so I think I am just running on empty. Or maybe I fell out of love with him too I don’t know.” “Its okay to be mad. If Inasa would do something as reckless as that I would upset. I would feel a multitude of emotions yet you are not feeling anything. Now I don’t know if you still love him or not but I know you both loved each other greatly that most people are envious of such a relationship. Its okay to be sad. It fine to cry Izuku.” Shouto was far too perceptive for his own good which made Izuku gape. He knew he could stay strong but no hearing it from someone, even as monotone as Shouto, it made sense. All throughout his life Izuku has tried to stay strong for others, so much so that he stayed strong for the marriage which was flawed. He stayed strong not even for himself but for his husband, and he does not know why, “Hes……. He's such a jerk!” Izuku finally felt tears escape his body. He started wailing on Shouto’s shoulder. The weight he had, or the numbing feeling is finally dissipating from his system, after so many years of bottling his emotions about his anger, he finally let go. The sound of a door unlocking was drowned out by the cries of the Hero. It was Inasa who thought it was his precious angel crying but the sight before him left him equally as broken. Shouto nodded at Inasa to come over, which resulted in a bear hug for Izuku. He couldn’t focus on the comfort given to him, since he felt too much pain and anger still making their way out of his body. Yet he still felt a sense of content, being surrounded by people who actually loved him, not someone who pretended to care. While still coping with his grief, Izuku did not notice his phone vibrating every second. Katsuki had fucked up big time and now has to pay for the consequences. Yai tied to call him but he ignored it completely, his mind only focusing on getting home before Izuku leaves him for being so stupid. He broke various laws by going through various red lights and speeding. He had to get back home in time to try to make things better. When he got home he was met with an empty house. He screamed at the empty house for his husband. He could be equated as to a rabid animal in his search for his husband. He tore the kitchen apart, their living room, and finally their bedroom. He had hoped that his husband had been fast asleep, ignorant to what occurred. Unfortunately he was met with a neat bedroom that had a closet wide open. He darted to the open closet hoping to cleanse his doubts. His dread spread further than anticipated. Izuku's clothing was gone, thus he knew he had left. A strained cry escaped from his lips. He tugged at his hair to the point wer he pulled some hair from his scalp. He knew that Izuku found the truth. He glanced at the window, where papers and something shiny were placed nearby. He got up, looked through the papers and ring. He tried to fight a sob which he couldn’t hold back. He was supposed to have the perfect life, even the perfect family but he ruined t through his vices. He cried until he felt so exhausted, he tried to sleep it off but all he could dream of is his husband, smiling without him.
