“A sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body.”      ☀☀☀
"He has no partner."

"That's him? What's wrong with him?"

"No partner? So he doesn't have a soulmate?"

"I wonder why. What a freak."
Jimin has heard it all. It's all he ever hears- the constant judgement and belittlement of those around him. But contrary to popular belief, Jimin truly loves being a meister. For as long as he could remember, Jimin had always dreamed of the type of person he'd be matched with. He couldn't wait to see what kind of person his potential soulmate would be like; he'd longed to meet the person he would spend the rest of his life with. But, for Jimin, that simply hadn't been the case. Jimin didn't have a partner. During his first year at the academy, he wasn't matched with anyone. Unlike the majority of his meister classmates, Jimin hadn't been paired with a weapon partner, and therefore, he didn't have a soulmate to call his own.  Somehow, Jimin had failed the pairing process. Not once, not twice. But every single time he attempted it. The matching process was meant to initially bring together two individuals who are compatible, and therefore, partners who should work well together in combat. Once you are paired with a person who is deemed to be a compatible partner; your one goal is to resonate your soul’s wavelength with the other person's. And if the soul-resonating ended up a success — both individuals would basically be confirmed to be each other's soulmates, either platonically or romantically. It's supposedly foolproof — the process rarely, if ever failing. By growing closer with your assigned partner, one is able to strengthen the soul bond between meister and weapon; to eventually become an unstoppable duo together. But in Jimin's case, there hadn't been anyone like that for him. There wasn't one person at the academy who was compatible with him. It was quite disappointing, to say the least. The academy's Headmaster, the Grim Reaper, had light-heartedly joked about his "selective" soul. He claimed that Jimin's soul simply hadn't found its perfect match yet, that eventually the right person would come by. And in all honestly, that's all Jimin wanted. He wanted to find the perfect person for himself. Despite not having a partner, Jimin has always remained hopeful and optimistic about his situation. He's devoted most of his time into training and trying to compensate for his disadvantage, and eventually becoming one of the academy's top students. Which unfortunately, his fellow meister classmates didn't appreciate. Some students disliked Jimin, while others laughed at him. Sadly, Jimin was used to the judgement and mockery of those around him; but he knew better than to let their negativity get to his head. Because eventually, all of his hard work finally paid off. At long last, his moment had finally come. After a year of patiently waiting and training for this very moment, Jimin had finally been assigned his first ever partner. He still couldn't fucking believe it. He'd received the news in the morning, in a little letter addressed to him from the academy's headmaster. At first, Jimin had been surprised to read through it, he wasn't expecting the surprise at all. And then, realization finally hits him. He has to read the letter over and over. And over. He simply couldn't believe it. He traces over the words, 'Notice of Acquired Partnership', his heart hammering excitedly in his chest.
They'd finally found someone for him!
He's always thought about it, what they may look like and what kind of person they'll be. Maybe they'll be very similar to him and be very optimistic and cheerful, or maybe they'll be the complete opposite; somebody very serious and stoic. In all sincerity, Jimin doesn't know what to expect, but the unknown doesn't scare him. He's fully prepared to meet his partner, to become the best duo the academy has ever seen. And most importantly, he wants to prove everybody wrong.  And so, Jimin continues carefully reading through the letter and over the judgement that had finally been decided for him— Jimin genuinely shocked to see that he had been assigned to the one and only, the infamous Min Yoongi. Jimin knew that name. By this point, everybody at the academy knew that name. Prior to the matching, Jimin has only heard negative rumors about Yoongi — hell, he hasn't even seen him in any of his classes before. Jimin has no idea what was in store for him, hell, he had no idea what kind of person his weapon partner was or what he even looked like. And top it all off, he didn't have... the best reputation.  Many of the other students (and even the professors) spoke badly about Yoongi, some complaining about how the weapon was insufferable, cold-hearted, and distant. Others complained that he was belligerent, lazy, and unmotivated; a few angrier students demanding his expulsion from the campus. And yet, this was his supposed partner. His soulmate. Jimin really didn't know what to do in this situation. He wasn't sure what he could do anymore. But, it couldn't hurt to at least try. Despite the negativity surrounding his partner, Jimin didn't see the harm in trying to connect with Yoongi, although it seemed rather impossible. He couldn't help but feel a bit excited, knowing that this man could be his potential soulmate. That alone meant the universe to him. He couldn't give up this quickly. Surely, Jimin's own peers had expected him to fail from the get-go. It had almost seemed like a cruel joke — the top student of the entire academy having been matched up with the notoriously troublesome student who hardly even showed up to his classes. A few of his classmates had even gone as far as to give him their sincere condolences, expressing their sentiments regarding Jimin’s supposed misfortune. Jimin tries to stay positive, he really does. This was his first ever partner, Jimin couldn't lose hope and give up so easily.    But, Jimin honestly doesn't know what the fuck to expect, especially when he hears that his future partner had supposedly been incompatible with not one, not two, but over ten types of different scythe-meisters in the span of two years. Jimin wonders if this Yoongi was going for a new world record with a whopping ten failed soul resonances per year. One was rather typical, two could be expected... three was rare, but over ten!? The record was simply unheard of, and Jimin was suddenly a bit worried for what was to come. And at this point, Jimin can't help but start imagining his partner to be what he pictures as a stereotypical gym rat mixed with a cliche troublemaker — he's already picturing this supposedly terrifying 'Yoongi’ to be almost seven feet tall, angry, burly, and aggressive. Really aggressive. After all, why else in the world would Yoongi be incompatible with so many people in such a short amount of time?  But what Jimin was most definitely not expecting was to see someone his height, if not a bit taller by a tiny bit — said person thin and lanky, his physique and frame definitely broader and larger than Jimin's. What takes Jimin aback the most is the gentle, round face, accentuated by soft features and defined feline-like eyes. Yoongi is extremely pale, his skin fair and unblemished, with an unruly mop of faded silver-white hair covering over his dark, narrowed eyes. He stands with impressively horrible posture, slouched over, and dressed from head to toe in all black and ripped jeans. If Jimin was being completely honest, he really hadn't expected his new partner to be so fucking attractive.  Jimin stares at him with wide eyes, the man wordlessly brushing past him with a mumbled greeting, quickly moving into the spare room Jimin had left available for him. As a rule of the academy, it's mandatory for all meisters to live with their weapons, for safety purposes. It's convenient to do so, most meisters getting closer to their partners more easily this way, but Jimin is left completely speechless by how little Yoongi regards his presence. Out of all the possible combinations he had been thinking about, Jimin really hadn't expected this.  “Um…” Jimin follows after him, hurriedly walking towards the room Yoongi had disappeared into. He’s already unpacking, taking his belongings out of his small suitcase, setting his things aside quietly, “Your name is Yoongi, right?” Yoongi pauses briefly, turning over his shoulder to look at him. Jimin tenses up- he can literally feel the man staring into his fucking soul, the meister actually a bit intimidated and thrown off by his intense glare. “Yeah,” Yoongi finally says, his voice surprisingly low and raspy, his tone sending chills down Jimin’s spine. Jimin most certainly hadn't expected him to have a voice like that. “What do you want?” Jimin frowns at his hostility. “Seeing that I’m supposed to be your meister, I just wanted to meet you,” Jimin awkwardly gestures over to Yoongi's open suitcase on the bed. “Do you um… want me to help you unpack or something?” Yoongi doesn't say a single word. Instead, he keeps his eyes fixated on Jimin, as if he's literally taking him apart and searching for a flaw or for anything wrong with him. Jimin holds Yoongi's intense gaze, an embarrassingly familiar heat rising to his face. He fidgets around with his sweater paws, unsure of how to break the silence. Yoongi clears his throat. “Nah,” Yoongi finally speaks, looking down at his belongings again. Jimin lets out a little breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. “Nah, I’m good.”  Jimin nods nervously, moving back and taking a little step out of the room. He realizes that Yoongi must want his privacy, and Jimin really doesn't want to already get on his partner's bad side on their first day together. “Okay, have fun, uh…” Jimin awkwardly gestures to his things on the bed. “Moving in, I guess…” He takes another step out of the room, quickly turning around and preparing to run out of the premise. But before Jimin can actually get anywhere, he's stopped. “Hey, hold on,” Yoongi calls after him, Jimin whirling back around to meet his gaze. “You never told me your name, kid.” He sounds a little curious, almost like he actually wants to know more about Jimin. Despite his possible interest in wanting to know more about Jimin, Yoongi maintains a poker-face, his expression completely emotionless. It actually impresses Jimin to an extent. Jimin stares at him for a few seconds, before smiling. He figures that Yoongi must not be that bad — maybe a bit emotionally constipated, if anything. “I'm Park Jimin, a second-year scythe meister!” Jimin introduces himself a bit too excitedly, beaming at the white-haired man. “Nice to meet you, um…” “You already know my name,” Yoongi scoffs, glancing back down at his neatly folded stack of clothes. “It's Min Yoongi.” Jimin smiles at him, ignoring the clear sarcasm in his tone. He figures that Yoongi must not be all too fond of nonsensical small-talk. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Min Yoongi-ssi!” Jimin rocks back and forth on his feet, "I hope we can work together in the future!" Yoongi looks up once again and gives Jimin a weird look, shrugging his shoulders loosely. He looks a bit uncomfortable after their interaction, and it has Jimin genuinely wondering if any of his previous meisters have ever tried to talk to him before. Regardless of that, Jimin thinks he can get used to having Yoongi around. If anything, he thinks the man is a bit reserved and quiet, but it's nothing that Jimin can't deal with. "Whatever you say, kid." Yoongi mutters, glancing down at his things, chewing on his bottom lip. He continues to fold and put his clothes away, before turning back to look at Jimin, his expression unreadable. "Also, just call me hyung. You don't have to be so formal around me, it's weird."  Jimin stares at him in surprise — a bit taken aback to see Yoongi so flustered, the older man's pale cheeks colored an endearing pink. He doesn't meet Jimin's gaze directly, instead, Yoongi keeps his eyes downcast, avoiding Jimin completely. And honestly, Jimin can't help but think that Yoongi is even cuter when he's shy like this. "Sure thing!" Jimin singsongs, beaming at the man fondly, "I'll see you later, hyung!" And from the corner of his eye, Jimin swears that he catches Yoongi smiling.
Two become one, our souls have been connected — a bond that's stronger than words.
☀☀☀    Early in their relationship as potential meister and weapon, Jimin realizes that Yoongi doesn't say much in general.  There's no surprise that he has innate skill when it comes to his abilities in combat, but the weapon simply refuses to communicate with him. In some situations, Yoongi takes initiative; often catching Jimin off-guard. It's hard to resonate with him because of this, the elder being stubborn, closed off, and almost guarded around the meister. It's so frustrating to Jimin. Despite this, Jimin doesn't push Yoongi to do things he doesn't want to do— he knows better than that. He continues to mind his own business and continues giving Yoongi his space, and oftentimes (when he's bold enough), Jimin asks the elder to train with him after their classes. Jimin notices early on that Yoongi is very careful. He’s careful with how much he shows himself to Jimin; it's like he's being cautious, really. It’s almost as if Yoongi had been hurt before, maybe even betrayed — and Jimin’s heart aches for him. He doesn't know what's happened to Yoongi exactly, but he knows for a fact that the elder had a previous meister. He has heard the rumors— Yoongi had a partner that he resonated well with, one who he may have been romantically involved with. Jimin wonders why they still weren't partners. A part of him wants to ask him, but at the same time, Jimin doesn't want to pressure him into anything. Yoongi's a little closed off and quiet, he's never talking about himself or anything like that. That doesn't stop Jimin from trying to strike up conversation with him. And thankfully this time around, Jimin had managed to catch Yoongi in a decent mood, the elder actually answering his questions, rather than ignoring him. The two sit in their living room together, Yoongi mindlessly scrolling through his phone. A television show the two had been watching had gone on commercial break, leaving the two in awkward silence. Jimin glances over at him, his arms wrapping around one of their sofa's fluffy cushions.  “So did you really have a meister before?” Jimin asks him once again, this time for further confirmation. Yoongi sits at a distance apart from him, his knees brought up to his chest and making himself look even tinier, more adorable. Yoongi's already small to begin with— the elder barely taller than Jimin, despite having a much different physique. While Jimin was smaller and a bit thinner, Yoongi had a broader chest and much thicker arms.  His eyes flicker over to Jimin for a brief moment, finally looking up from his phone. “He used to go here, you've probably heard of him,” Yoongi murmurs softly, pouting a little. He looks uncomfortable, like he's scared to mention this to Jimin. “His name was Jung Hoseok.” He says at last, his voice a little quiet. He's nervous. Jimin perks up at the sound of the name. Of course, Jimin had heard of him, that name was practically an urban legend around their campus. At this point, everyone at the academy had heard of that name. Jung Hoseok, an experienced scythe-meister who had gone missing roughly a year and a half ago while on a high-level mission. All of the other people on the mission had all been brutally murdered, the bodies of other meisters and weapons found at the area. But Hoseok's body was never found — he had disappeared without a trace, no one knowing if he was even alive or dead. The only person who had been declared the sole survivor was Jung Hoseok's weapon partner.  Jimin can't believe it. It was Yoongi who had been his weapon, the only person who survived the catastrophe — the only remnant of what was left from Jung Hoseok's former legacy. The final moments last seen with Hoseok remains a complete mystery to everyone but him. Only he knew the truth about what had actually happened during the catastrophic mission, because he had been there to witness such horrors. Jimin can only imagine the atrocities he had seen. Yoongi had been there on that horrible mission, he had seen the carnage and brutality all happen in front of his eyes. He'd lost his friends, his own scythe meister. He'd lost everything. And now, they were potential partners. Jimin's heart aches for Yoongi. He must have suffered so much. “Any more pressing questions, Jimin?” Yoongi suddenly asks, startling Jimin a bit. Jimin looks up at him, realizing that the elder had been staring at him and assessing his reaction, his eyes narrowed. He looks a little grumpy now, and Jimin can't help but think he looks a little cute like this. He must not like being pitied. Jimin bites down on his lip, nervously fidgeting around with his sweater paws. Jimin does have many questions, and he knows that he probably shouldn't ask Yoongi any of them. In the end, his curiosity wins. “Do… do you know if he passed away that day?” Jimin asks quietly, shrinking back when Yoongi’s sharp gaze settles on him once again. Before he can even begin to apologize for asking such an invasive question, Yoongi speaks over him. “I'll pass,” He denies his question simply, crossing his arms. Yoongi stares at a fixed spot on the ground, and Jimin doesn't know what to fucking do. A heavy, uncomfortable silence fills the living room, the crackling of their fireplace being the only sound in the area. Jimin watches the fire flicker, the flames rising and burning bright, illuminating the darkness of the room.  At this point, Jimin truly wants to disappear, for the world to swallow him up. A few more seconds pass before Yoongi finally looks up again, frowning at Jimin. “Well?” He huffs, and Jimin can tell he’s a little nervous and uncertain. "Are you going to keep asking, Jimin?" Jimin's eyes widen, the younger genuinely surprised that Yoongi wants him to keep asking questions. “Right, um…” Jimin takes a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. “Did you like him?”  What a stupid fucking question. Jimin regrets asking it almost immediately. Yoongi blinks once, twice, before chuckling. His shoulders shake with his quiet laughter, his eyes crinkling up adorably. Jimin looks at him in complete surprise, simply because he had never heard Yoongi actually laugh before — if not, ever. “Who the fuck is partners with someone they don't like?” Yoongi rolls his eyes at Jimin, laughing, “You have to tolerate them in order to work with them, don't you?” Jimin nods, folding his hands in his lap, embarrassedly avoiding the elder's intense gaze. His cheeks burn with his embarrassment, he's really making himself look like an idiot in front of Yoongi. "Anything else?" Yoongi asks him again. His voice is softer, like he's genuinely asking Jimin if he wants to keep going. Jimin wonders if he should ask Yoongi what's been on his mind — after all, Jimin knows that it's not that uncommon to be in a relationship with your partner, although many choose against it for personal reasons. Jimin is curious — he simply wants to know. “Did you love him?” Jimin asks softly. He wonders if he's finally asked a wrong question, if Yoongi’s ready to just walk out on him for asking him something so intimate. To his surprise, Yoongi answers him immediately. “Yeah,” Yoongi rasps, his eyes downcast. He sounds pained, like he's hurting to admit it out loud. “Yeah, I fucking loved him. We were best friends before we ended up in a relationship,” Yoongi purses his lips. "it wasn't for long, it only lasted for a few months... but he really meant everything to me."  At that moment, Jimin’s heart breaks for him. That day, Yoongi had lost not only his partner, but he had also lost someone he loved and cared about deeply. Jimin can only imagine the pain and suffering he was going through — how responsible he must has felt for having lost his meister, his own lover. Yoongi clears his throat, catching Jimin’s attention once more. “Well, that's it for me.” Yoongi looks Jimin over, the elder rising up and off the sunken-in couch. “Now that you know,” Yoongi mutters, standing to his feet, “it's not too late to back out, Jimin.” But regardless of knowing the truth, Jimin doesn't want to back out. He doesn't want to abandon him anymore. He wants to give Yoongi a chance.  Locking eyes, becoming intertwined — you'll be sharing your fate with mine.      ☀☀☀    The first time their souls resonate is when Jimin is forced onto a dangerous mission with Yoongi — just for the younger meister to end up ambushed by what he first thinks is nothing but a bunch of thugs. If that were the case, then Jimin wouldn't feel intimidated. In fact, Jimin knows he wouldn't even break a sweat. He’s come across his fair share of villains, petty criminals, and monsters. Jimin has trained to have above average skills when it comes to combat, but what he doesn't expect is to see what he thought would be basic thugs, to actually be high-level demons. And Jimin, a meister in training, is most certainly not trained to fight or deal with this type of evil, entities so overcome by their own selfish desires— these creatures driven away from humanity by their own madness. Jimin continues down the path of the abandoned village, Yoongi trailing behind him at a safe distance. Yoongi doesn't say a single word to him, only looks around the place suspiciously, minding his own business. He walks with his hands buried deep in his pockets, glancing over at Jimin every now and then. It's their second week together, Yoongi still keeping himself distanced off. He remains a closed book, not really saying or doing much, and Jimin doesn't know what to do — there's so much about his weapon that he doesn't know about. And now, they're running out of time. If they didn't resonate soon, if their souls didn't choose each other— they would be deemed incompatible. Jimin would lose his chance to have a partner. God, Jimin's trying so fucking hard. He's not sure what he's missing. Maybe Yoongi didn't want to partner with him? Maybe Jimin was the problem. Jimin continues onwards the abandoned trail, lost in his own worried thoughts, until a weird, strangled noise catches his attention. He stills at the sound of the strange gargle, turning his head in the direction he had heard it from. The noise had been coming from an alleyway that was left abandoned and lackluster of all life. He quietly follows after the noise and turns around the corner, peering inside an abandoned shop — surprised to see a group of undead creatures inside. He tries to look inside the broken windows, the strange noises getting louder and louder. His heart pounds in his chest rapidly, a feeling of dread sinking in the pit of his stomach. And then he finally sees the monsters. He notices the group of creatures, demons, to picking apart at something that looks like a half-eaten corpse of something on the ground. Their eyes each glow a vibrant, strange red — their bodies twisting and writhing about in disturbing, grotesque angles.  It's unnatural, the way these creatures move — how they gargle, hiss, and thrash about. Jimin yelps when some of the demons turn over in his direction, noticing his presence and smiling at him eerily. Their teeth are bloodstained, disgusting, and Jimin feels nausea wash over him. Jimin's scared, he doesn't know what to do in this situation. They look human, but at the same time, Jimin knows they are far from it. “Yoongi,” Jimin stammers quietly, slowly backing away from the demons. He's absolutely terrified — by now, all of the monstrous entities have all picked up on his presence, each of them turning to look at him with interest. "Hyung, I don't know if I can fight them all, what should we do?" Jimin's answered with complete silence. He finally whirls around to talk to Yoongi directly, but freezes in place when he realizes the absolute worst. He's alone. Jimin finally realizes that Yoongi is nowhere near him. He's trembling now, whirling around to try and find him, only to find himself completely alone.
This couldn't be happening.
Jimin doesn't know what to do—  without Yoongi, he had no way of actually fighting off these demons if anything did happen to him. He was left completely helpless and defenseless, and now... He was going to die. “Hyung!” Jimin calls for him again, desperately; heart hammering in his chest. Jimin watches as the larger demon of the pack, a particularly larger zombie-like demon begins to approach him, a disturbing smile plastered on its face. Jimin takes another step back, his breathing quickening. He can't breathe properly anymore, he can only see the corpse that the creatures had been devouring. And if he didn't act fast, that would be him. Jimin flinches as the demonic creature lets loose a terrifying screech, before charging towards him. The other monsters follow suit — scrambling and clumsily dashing over to Jimin. In their bloodlust frenzy, they start to trip over each other, desperately trying to reach him. Jimin takes off sprinting in a random direction, hoping to lose the demonic creatures behind him — praying that he runs into someone or something that could help him. He knows it's absolutely hopeless, but he doesn't stop running. He doesn't want to die. Jimin runs up and down alleyway after alleyway, before dashing around and hiding behind one of the walls. He's panting, trembling, and much to Jimin’s distress, Yoongi was still nowhere to be found. He must have wandered off again, leaving Jimin weaponless and fucking defenseless. It was either that — or he had genuinely left Jimin to die.
Was Jimin not good enough?

Were the rumors surrounding Min Yoongi true?
Another snarl sounds from around the corner, sending Jimin running off in the opposite direction once more. They were closing in around him, they could smell his fear. He had to calm down, he had to calm down! His heart hammers in his chest, beating rapidly out of pure terror, the meister not sure where he's even going. He's going in a random direction, wherever he can go. Jimin runs as fast as he can, nearly tripping over his own feet and barely having enough time to jump over some scattered things on the ground. He turns the corner and runs into another alleyway, knocking over a few trash cans to the ground by accident.  He's terrified, he doesn't know what to fucking do— he's never been in this kind of situation before! He knows that he won't be able to properly defend himself if the demonic creatures do manage to catch up to him, he can't properly fight without Yoongi.
He's going to die like this.
He can hear the monsters still following after him, trying to find him, and at this point, Jimin thinks he's genuinely going be killed. He's scared, god, Jimin is so fucking scared. He whirls around, unsure of where he should run, where he should hide. He almost starts off in another random direction before he hears a familiar voice calling out to him. “Idiot! Where the hell are you going?” A raspy voice calls after him, Jimin whirling around to notice Yoongi standing at the front of the alleyway he'd run into, hunched over. He's panting, almost like he had been running around as well- his hands on his knees. At the sight of him, a flood of relief washes over Jimin, the meister thankful to see that Yoongi hadn't actually left him to die. If anything, it appeared as if Yoongi had been running around trying to find him, the elder out of breath and exhausted.  Jimin immediately stumbles over to Yoongi's side. He's crying, he doesn't even realize it until he's made his way over to him, the meister frantically wiping at the tears that stream down his face. Yoongi's eyes widen in surprise when Jimin clutches at the front of his jacket. "They're coming," Jimin gasps for air, grabbing onto Yoongi for dear life. He can't breathe properly. "What are you talking about?" Yoongi is genuinely confused, Jimin can't even catch his breath to tell him what's happening. Another loud snarl sounds from around the corner, Yoongi's eyes widening in realization. "Oh fuck." Yoongi breathes out, grabbing Jimin and looking around. Jimin's entire body is trembling with fear, he can't help the little scared noises he's making against Yoongi's chest. He's scared. He doesn't want to die. Jimin doesn't even realize that Yoongi's lifted him up, and that he's dragging Jimin into a nearby store, the entire place trashed and looted completely. He carries him towards the back of the room, near the register's counter, the two of them slinking to the ground behind it. Jimin shudders violently when he hears the monsters again, their gargling and hissing getting louder and louder. A little whimper escapes past his lips when he hears them get closer, the creatures knocking over things and breaking glass in an attempt to find him. Jimin's heart pounds in his chest. It was only a matter of time before the demons would find him and kill them both.  Yoongi's watching him carefully, his face pinched up with concern. Jimin's starting to panic again, hot tears spilling down his cheeks when the snarling gets louder. "Shh, shh, shh..." Yoongi puts his hand on Jimin's mouth, muffling his heavy breathing and sobs, "You have to calm down for me." Jimin leans against him, whimpering softly. He's scared, he's so fucking terrified. Yoongi must realize that, the elder bringing Jimin closer to him, positioning himself so Jimin's head rested against Yoongi's chest. "Those creatures can sense your fear," Yoongi tells him quietly, holding him tightly. Even his tone with Jimin has changed, now notably softer. "It's going to be okay. I'll protect you." Jimin squeezes his eyes shut, a few tears slipping past his eyes and down his face. He leans into Yoongi's touch, forcing his mind to think about anything else. He's not scared. He can't be scared in a moment like this. Yoongi would protect him. He wasn't alone anymore. They stay like this for a while, Yoongi looking around and watching the demons clamber around, confusedly looking around for them. Unlike Jimin, he must have had experience with these demons before. He knew how to deal with these terrifying creatures and how to outsmart them. Yoongi was amazing. Eventually, the monsters lose track of him. Yoongi had been right- they really were tracking him from his own fear. Now that he was distracted and being comforted, the demons couldn't find him anymore. He can hear the moment the creatures noisily leave the alley, the two staying quiet until they can hear them no longer. "Fuck. Thank god." Yoongi breathes out. He actually looks concerned, like he's genuinely worried for Jimin's well-being. He looks over him again, finally taking his hand off of Jimin's mouth. “Are you hurt, shit, are you okay?” He asks, his eyes wide. Jimin shakes his head, wiping at his tear-streaked face. He's far from okay. Yoongi must realize this, the elder quickly wrapping his arms around him. The embrace is clumsy, awkward; but it's warm and comforting to be held like this. Yoongi holds him tight, allows Jimin to cling to him desperately. He pulls him close, still keeping them hidden from plain sight. At long last, Jimin can finally breathe. “You’re okay now,” Yoongi tightens his hold around Jimin, sighing loudly. “That was your first time seeing them? Those creatures?” Jimin shakily nods, and Yoongi takes a deep breath. He sounds distressed, genuinely worried for him. “I’m sorry,” He apologizes softly, running his hands up and down Jimin’s back. His touch is gentle, reassuring. “I should have been there. I can only imagine how scared you were.” Jimin was terrified. Having no way to possibly defend himself, being alone in a situation like that — Jimin knows that if he hadn't acted in time, the creatures would have killed him in an instant, without any hesitation. “I thought you left me,” Jimin admits, taking a shaky breath. Yoongi stiffens at his brutally honest words, but the gentle caresses on his skin continue. “I thought you d-didn't want me anymore, so… I…” There had been reports of weapons having abandoned their meisters, leaving them to die or to choose another. It's uncommon, but there have been quite a few accounts. There were countless rumors circulating Yoongi — people who said he left his previous meister to die, others who called the elder a disgrace or a coward, the few who sympathized with him. A meister without a weapon was nothing but a mere human in a world full of magic — and if you're abandoned, you’re practically left to die. A meister and their weapon were meant to be a team — it was never one, without the other. Yoongi takes Jimin by the shoulders, pulling him back. Jimin's forced to cry in his face now, mostly out of pure shame and fear. And to his horror, Yoongi looks hurt. It's so obvious to see that in Yoongi's eyes, there's nothing but pain.  “I wouldn't ever leave you,” Yoongi says, his expression completely serious, his voice flat. “I wouldn't do that to you. I think that you're an amazing meister, Park Jimin.” Jimin immediately shakes his head. Even Jimin knows could do so much better — if only he knew how to fight better, how to defend himself better... he wouldn't have been in this situation. Yoongi, on the other hand, was clearly not having it. “Yes, you are,” Yoongi grits his teeth, his expression pained. “Stop thinking so lowly of yourself, damn it, Jimin!” Jimin can't. “You’re different, you're so different...” Yoongi’s voice breaks off. “I've seen how you are, how you fight.” Yoongi eyes reflect nothing but pure sadness for him. “You don't fight for yourself, you fight to protect others. I think that's beautiful.” Jimin chews on his lower lip. He wants to envelop himself in Yoongi’s arms again, but doesn't want to ask. He can't bring himself to ask for something so pathetic, he hates to make himself look so fucking fragile and pitiful, like he’s weak.  So, he sits there quietly, little fingers fiddling with his sleeves; until Yoongi pulls him against his chest. He's surprised, but latches onto Yoongi desperately, enveloping himself in his warmth. “I'm sorry, Jiminie,” Yoongi says again, and Jimin's eyes widen. He had never been called ‘Jiminie’ before, and he decides that he likes the way Yoongi says it. “I'm sorry for scaring you and for not being there when I should have been.” “I'm sorry for thinking you left me,” Jimin mumbles ashamedly, the meister guilty that he assumed Yoongi would do such a horrible thing in the first place. He knew Yoongi wasn't a bad person, he was misunderstood if anything- but Yoongi was far from being the type of person who would intentionally leave him behind in a dangerous situation. Yoongi doesn't say anything, he only nods. "Let's get back home, okay?" Yoongi's tone is gentle and comforting, like a warm blanket on a cold day. It takes Jimin by surprise, the younger so used to hearing Yoongi speak to him in a different way.  Jimin never really knew what to expect from Yoongi. For starters, Jimin never would have expected Yoongi to actually comfort him like this, to reassure him and to fill the hole in his heart that had existed for so long. Jimin never would have expected Yoongi to have a soft side, for him to be so gentle and tender around him. Jimin can stay in his arms forever. He doesn't know what it is about Yoongi — what exactly makes him so healing, so comforting to be around. He realizes that Yoongi must not mind holding him either, the meister not able to send any irritation or any disruption from deep within Yoongi’s soul. In reality, they are both at peace like this. “I think you're amazing, Jimin.” Yoongi continues, his voice so quiet, Jimin nearly misses it. “I’ll work harder to become someone you can be proud of too.” Jimin jolts a bit in Yoongi’s arms at his words — his entire core igniting with a sensation he's never felt before. He feels strange, almost like he’s linked to Yoongi in a way, a feeling towards the elder he hadn't felt before. Yoongi must feel it too, but to his surprise, the elder only holds Jimin closer to him.  That had been the first time their souls had chosen each other.
We'll battle through nightmares, we won't give up.
☾☾☾     No one would believe Yoongi if he said it, but he really hadn’t meant to soul bond with Jimin that day. He could lie and say their bonding was nothing but an accident, but even he knows that’s not true. It’s strange, knowing that his own soul chose Jimin, that the process had been purely natural. It was almost as if his body had accepted Jimin on its own, something not even Yoongi could understand. It was strange. The mission they had been on was cancelled from that point on, Yoongi taking responsibility and reporting the sudden, monstrous demon appearances to the university’s headmaster, Lord Death himself. The Shinigami had apologized profusely, saying he would quickly take extra security measures to make sure no such ambush would happen to any other students. Yoongi knows that the ambush could have easily ended in a disaster — he's very much aware of how things could have turned out if he didn’t catch up to Jimin in time. Yoongi can't believe he had been so careless. Jimin had been so shaken up, the meister refused to leave his room for a solid day. Yoongi is tortured with Jimin's pain, the elder could hear him crying from inside his bedroom for fucking hours, his sobs muffled against a pillow. Yoongi knows the fear he must have felt — he had been the same way the first time he had seen those demons. The aura they give off is paralyzing, literally enough to completely petrify the body in complete fear — and thankfully, Jimin had been quick enough to run before it had fully overtaken him. Eventually it had started to affect him, but thankfully Yoongi had been there before anything else could happen. God, he knows Jimin was terrified that day, he could feel it. At this point, Yoongi doesn't know how to make it up to him. He doesn't know what to do, if he should try and cheer him up in some stupid way, or if he should just let Jimin cry it all out. Ultimately, Yoongi decides to give Jimin some alone time. He catches him outside his room a few times, occasionally even cooking in their kitchen, sometimes offering to help Yoongi with a few chores here and there.  Yoongi tries to keep him company when he can, but at this point, Yoongi feels helpless. No, Yoongi feels fucking awful. He feels horrible that his body betrayed him and actually fucking soul-bonded with Jimin over a simple hug, especially when Jimin actually deserves so much better than him. He feels even worse than he allowed Jimin to get that scared in the first place, he hates knowing how easily Jimin could have been fucking killed if he hadn't found him in time. And it would have been all of his fault. Yoongi buries his head in his arms. He’s a shit weapon. His phone vibrates once or twice, lighting up his dark room. Yoongi ignores it at first, but when it continues to persistently buzz, he decides to check it. Yoongi finally looks up from his arms, catching a glimpse of the new message from Namjoon in their group chat. He's muted Seokjin’s notifications, solely to preserve his sanity. Yoongi unlocks it, looking down at the incoming messages, surprised to see a flood of spam.   Yoongi slides his phone into his pocket, grabbing a nearby sweater and throwing it on. He fixes his hair up, smoothening his hand around and ruffling his bangs so the faded white locks fall messily on his forehead. He checks himself over once, before grabbing at his keys and wallet nearby, stuffing it inside his pocket. To his surprise, he sees Jimin’s bedroom door wide open, meaning the younger must have left his place not too long ago. Yoongi notes the place to be actually pristine — so much livelier and cuter compared to his own dreary and simple room. Jimin has a bunch of things, a bookcase filled with an array of novels, bright flowers, and photographs hanging from fairy lights, a stuffed chick perched on his fluffy comforter. Yoongi huffs, stuffing his hands in his pockets and casually closing the door, a bit amused to see such a fucking difference from how Jimin lives compared to how he does. Yoongi must truly be that miserable, he supposes. Yoongi continues walking, realizing that he should probably ask Jimin if he wants to eat anything. He's already going out with his friends, the least he could do is bring something tasty back for Jimin. “Oi, Jiminie.” Yoongi walks down from his room, stretching out his back. He walks into the dimly-lit living room, rubbing the tiredness out of his eyes. “I'm going out to get food with Namjoon and his meister. Do you want anyth—” Yoongi stops the second he catches a glimpse of Jimin, the elder immediately shutting up. Jimin's slumped over on their couch, a giant book open beside him, his body curled up in a little ball. His baggy clothes hang on his thin form, making him look even smaller, even more adorable. Yoongi didn't even think that was fucking possible. Yoongi stands still, staring at Jimin with wide eyes, heart pounding in his chest. Jimin looks so peaceful and calm like this, Yoongi feels bad for almost waking him up. Yoongi tiptoes closer to the meister. He can see that Jimin is deep in sleep, his chest rising and falling, his lips slightly parted. His hair sticks out randomly, and Yoongi thinks it's cute.  It truly blows Yoongi’s mind, every time he actually looks at Jimin. Jimin’s so tiny — so fucking small and delicate, but a fucking incredible scythe-meister. A damned good one, at that. Jimin can fucking fight, defend himself, kick ass and swing Yoongi around, despite the weapon's size being nearly more than his entire body. He's seen Jimin fight people more than twice his size and actually win.  Jimin is fucking strong. It amazes him to see someone so incredibly dedicated to their work, he’s truly impressed by how far Jimin has come. Yoongi can't say much on his behalf. After all, he's just a fucking weapon, all he's good for is being able to sustain hits, connecting his soul wavelength with his partner, and defending his meister with his life. Yoongi carefully picks up the book off the ground, bookmarking the page it was open to and setting it on the table beside Jimin. He collects a blanket from their basket nearby, grabbing the specific one that he always sees Jimin with. The elder tiptoes over again, gently draping the furry blanket on top of him. Yoongi can't help but smile when he sees Jimin immediately nuzzle into the soft fur of the blanket, curling further into himself with a little mewl.  Cute. Jimin's really fucking cute. If anyone were to ask Yoongi then, he wouldn't admit to having a crush on Jimin. No, it wasn't that. It wasn't a fucking crush — Yoongi genuinely liked Jimin, how well they got along and worked together, despite their very different personalities.  Yoongi simply admired him.   Later that night, Yoongi brings home Jimin’s favorite meal from his favorite restaurant. Yoongi acts like buys it by coincidence, when in reality, he just wants to see Jimin smile.   Our fates will come together, and it will not go unheard.     ☀☀☀    Becoming Yoongi’s official meister was a fucking experience, to say the least. Jimin learns bits and pieces about Yoongi more and more each day, surprising himself when he learns that Yoongi can play the piano. Yoongi has even played for him, a gentle, unsettlingly dark song — one that he composed himself.  It was eerie, sorrowful, but so beautiful, and Jimin had been entranced watching him play — from the way Yoongi's fingers danced along each key, to how Yoongi played with his eyes closed, lost in the passion of his own music.  Yoongi called the piece his "Introduction".  Jimin has never heard anything so beautiful before. Following that, it doesn't take long for the two to grow attached to one another. They spend plenty of time together when they can, getting to know each other with each passing moment, the two of them enjoying each other more and more. At this point, Jimin has practically memorized everything about him, from the elder’s birthday to his favorite songs, and even getting to personally meet two of his closest friends. Jimin nearly dies when he realizes that Yoongi's closest friends also happened to be the most powerful meister and weapon duo in the entire fucking academy. The two of them, clearly partners, occasionally stop by to visit Yoongi. Jimin can't help but find that they’re both extremely intimidating, the duo radiating an aura that’s rather unmatched, proving that they're on a whole other level. They're incredible. Jimin can't believe that the meister (a ridiculously handsome man, at that) also happened to be the only son of Lord Death himself — the man a literal Shinigami in the flesh. And his soulmate and partner, an extremely broad and tall man named Namjoon, had been entrusted to protect Lord Death’s son — the man already at his maximum limit for becoming a Death Weapon. He was able to turn into a pistol, meaning Seokjin was a deadeye meister — one excelling in sniping, precision, and perfect accuracy. Just having them visit them was already such a big honor. Jimin shyly welcomes them inside their apartment every time they visit, and after a few conversations the two begin to take a liking to him — sometimes lounging around and starting casual, small talk with Jimin whenever they see him.  Jimin couldn't help but admire them— he genuinely thought they were absolutely fucking amazing, if not a bit entertaining to hang around. It doesn't take long for Jimin to get comfortable around them, Jimin finding the two really easy to talk to; if not a bit chaotic. He genuinely enjoys their company as well, always a bit excited when the two invite themselves over, just to torment Yoongi. And this day in particular, Jimin finds them spending more time around him. It's obvious that he's piqued their interest- that they wanted to know more about the meister who managed to soul-bond with Yoongi. “Are you actually Lord Death’s son?” Jimin asks the Shinigami curiously, staring up at Seokjin with wide eyes. The man looks just as human as he does, if not absolutely stunning, appearance wise. "That's so cool, hyung!" He gushes when Seokjin nods pridefully. At the compliment, Yoongi walks around the corner, making his way into the living room and glaring daggers at the Shinigami's son. He has his chest puffed out boastfully, a big grin plastered on his face. “Would he really lie about being Lord Death’s son,” Yoongi mutters, plopping down in the free space beside Jimin. “It’s all Jin talks about, how he practically owns the fucking school and how he gets away with so much shit because he's a fucking daddy's boy.” The Shinigami rolls his eyes, waving him off. “God, you're such a mood killer.” Seokjin sighs dramatically, turning to Jimin. “It's a fucking miracle you've lasted this long with him, Jimin. If I were you, I would have dipped so fast.” Seokjin brings his voice down to a playfully loud whisper, “Run while you still can, I'm begging you.” Jimin giggles at that, Yoongi swiftly giving the elder his middle finger. Jimin realizes early on that Yoongi and Seokjin seem to have some sort of passionate love-hate relationship with each other, the two of them giving each other shit for literally anything, whenever possible. Jimin thinks they’re amusing, and secretly wonders if one day, he can introduce them to his own friends. They'd get along well, he thinks. “Hyung isn't that bad, he’s really nice!” Jimin smiles happily, bringing his knees up to his chest. Yoongi turns to look at him in surprise, but doesn't say anything. “He makes really good food too.” Seokjin nearly spits out his tea, Yoongi scowling at him for nearly spitting all over their furniture. Seokjin coughs and splutters, trying to not choke. “What?!" Seokjin whirls around to look at Yoongi, "You fucking cook for him?” Seokjin blurts out, hand covering his mouth. “Oh my god, he's going to be the one, isn't he? He even calls you hyung.” Yoongi huffs and looks away, his cheeks reddening slightly. Is he embarassed? “God, would you mind your own fucking business?” Yoongi tilts his head back, resting it on the couch cushion. “Jimin, I’m serious, don’t tell him anything. Ignore him, act like he’s not even here.” Jimin pouts at that. “Hyung, I can’t ignore him—” Jimin protests. “Holy shit, he said hyung again. We are officially on a hyung basis.” Seokjin is practically freaking out in his seat, stomping his feet on the ground. “Joon, I think Jimin's the fucking one!” “Jimin’s the what now?” Namjoon walks down the hall, unceremoniously plopping next to the Shinigami. Jimin can’t help but stare at Namjoon, the younger always finding himself taken aback by how fucking handsome he really was. Namjoon could be a model, honestly — the man tall and huge, his tanned skin sun-kissed and glowing. It's a sheer contrast from his gray hair, and Jimin honestly doesn't think he's seen someone pull it off so fucking well. “The one,” Seokjin emphasizes heavily on each word. “Yoongi apparently cooks for him, and lets him call him hyung.” Seokjin raises his eyebrows suggestively. “You see, I’m no detective, but from what I’m seeing so far, they're definitely going to become... y'know.” Namjoon smiles cheekily at that, his twin dimples on full display. “You don't say,” Namjoon snorts, looking over at Yoongi, the white-haired man completely unimpressed with the both of them. “You see, I'm starting to think that Jin’s onto something.” “The both of you can go fuck yourselves,” Yoongi rolls his eyes, standing up from the couch. “I’m taking a nap, don't give Jimin too much shit.” The elder announces, waving them off. He's making his way back to his room, Jimin figures. “Good night, hyung!” Jimin chirps up happily, ignoring Seokjin’s little squeals. The Shinigami reaches over and pulls him into his arms, holding Jimin tight. “He's so fucking cute!” Seokjin gasps, cuddling him. “Yoongi, I’m letting you know right now that if you don't want him, Joon and I will be taking him from you!”  “Go fuck yourself, Seokjin!” Yoongi calls from down the hallway once again, and this time, Jimin can't help but laugh.
Locking eyes, becoming intertwined — you'll be sharing your fate with mine.
☾☀☾☀   The two had reached their final point, trusting each other wholeheartedly. At first, no one was sure how, but for some reason — the two had legitimately resonated together. They fit each other’s missing halves perfectly.    ☾☀☾☀    Jimin is fucked — absolutely screwed, in every way possible. It's a no-brainer at this point, Jimin coming to terms with reality, realizing that he's been having inappropriate feelings for his partner early on in their relationship. He's sure it must be the fact that they've recently resonated souls — his mind must be mistaking their bond for some sort of deeper attraction towards his soulmate. But at the same time, Jimin knows something has changed. That moment had been the turning point in their relationship, he’s sure of it. Jimin can't deny his own feelings, no matter how hard he fucking tries. He's known from the moment he first laid eyes on him, he's very much aware that Yoongi is everything he finds attractive embodied into one person — the elder literally attractive to him in literally every way possible. From the way he looks, the way he talks, the way he acts, the way he carries himself with so much confidence. God, for fuck's sakes, Jimin even adores how similar they are in stature and height, how easy it would be to cuddle with him, and how unfairly easy it would be to just lean foward and kiss Yoongi.  Jimin’s a fucking wreck. This whole situation is unfair and it’s killing him, literally. He’s embarrassing himself at this point, blushing whenever Yoongi talks to him, always jumpy and fidgety around the other. Deep down, Jimin knows he shouldn't be like this — they are weapon and meister, friends, housemates. Nothing more. God, Jimin is so fucked. Jimin startles the second he hears the front door being unlocked, turning and being pushed open. He cranes his neck over to the front of their apartment, surprised to see Yoongi there, removing his shoes at the rack. Yoongi starts off towards the kitchen, yawning loudly. Jimin wonders if he's slept well these days.  “Oh, hey,” Yoongi waltzes into the kitchen, hands stuffed into his pockets, his jacket hood covering the majority of his face. He looks and sounds upset, but his gaze visibly softens when he notices Jimin standing in the kitchen. They lock eyes for a brief moment, the few seconds feeling like an eternity. Jimin watches as Yoongi goes to their fridge and opens it, rummaging around for a few seconds before closing it again. Jimin takes in his appearance all at once, taking in a sharp, little breath.  Yoongi's wearing a black, oversized jacket that hangs on his thin body, his silver-white hair ruffled up and sticking up randomly. Jimin realizes that he must be staring, the younger biting on his lip and looking away. Yoongi stares at him back, almost expectantly. “Hi…” Jimin meets his eyes shyly. He realizes Yoongi must have actually gone to one of his classes today. “Bad day?” Yoongi studies him for a few seconds, before nodding. “Yeah,” He sighs, defeatedly plopping down in a free chair beside Jimin. “Shit day, actually.” Jimin looks up again, watching him finally pull his hood down and jacket off, eyes falling on a bright red scratch on the elder’s cheek, a stark contrast against his porcelain skin. Jimin notices it to be a rather fresh-looking scratch that hadn’t been there earlier today, the younger frowning at the sight of it. He leans forward to look at it, gently running his finger over the cut. Yoongi stiffens under him but doesn't make any effort to push or shove Jimin away. He stays still, allowing Jimin to inspect it, before the younger pulls back. Jimin meets Yoongi’s eyes, and realizes what he's done, and how close they are. Yoongi is just staring at him, his eyes wide, a faint blush creeping over his face. Jimin can feel himself turning red and this point– had he really just done that?! “Um,” Jimin splutters, taking a few steps back and giving Yoongi some space. “Sorry, I didn’t… I just…”
Why was he acting so weird?!

This was his weapon, his fucking partner, for crying out loud!
“Calm down Jiminie,” Yoongi murmurs, squirming around in his seat. He looks embarrassed, his ears tipped in a noticeable, bright red — his flusteredness evident. “I just got into a fight, nothing big.” Jimin snaps out of his trance immediately. “You what?” Jimin hisses, marching over to Yoongi again. Yoongi winces, shrinking back and turning his head away from the younger. “Yoongi, what the hell!” “It's actually Yoongi-hyung to you, but…” Jimin ignores him, narrowing his eyes at the elder, hands on his hips. “You got into a fight?!” At this point Jimin is ready to fight Yoongi himself, his embarrassing crush on his own partner be damned. “Seriously?” Yoongi shrugs nonchalantly, touching over the scratch gently. “I just punched him in the face.” He says all too casually, rolling his eyes at his distressed meister. “You're not in trouble so don't worry about it.” Jimin narrows his eyes at him. “Who cares if I'm not in trouble!” Jimin explains incredulously, arms waving about. “You can't just punch people in the face, Yoongi!” “I can if they insult my meister,” Yoongi mumbles under his breath grumpily, arms crossing over his chest. Jimin stills at his words, turning to look at the elder in confusion. He begins to piece together what he thinks he knows. Yoongi had gotten into a fight, punched someone, ended up with a few scratches. Because he fought on Jimin’s behalf?! “What are you…” Jimin lets out a little squeak the second Yoongi stands back up from his seat, turning towards the smaller man. He’s so close to Jimin, the meister literally pinned under his eyes. “No one gives you shit, right?” Yoongi asks lowly, his voice dangerously icy, dead-serious. “For being a meister, for being my meister?” Jimin can't talk, Yoongi’s so fucking close — and god, if this wasn't so fucking hot.  He really needed to stop having these inappropriate conversations with Taehyung. “N-No!” Jimin splutters, frozen under Yoongi’s sharp gaze. “Not anymore, ever since we became partners, people haven't given me trouble…” Yoongi stares at him closely, before nodding. He exhales softly, rubbing the back of his neck. “You'd tell me, right?” He asks softly, almost insecurely. “If someone were bothering you?” Jimin is taken aback by the question, the meister pursing his lips together. “Yeah, I would.” Jimin admits, finally meeting Yoongi’s eyes. He doesn't see a reason why he wouldn't tell Yoongi anything, they're partners, after all. Yoongi seems satisfied with his response. “Good,” He murmurs, sighing loudly. “I don't want anyone to give you shit. And if they are, you let me know, alright?” Jimin is left completely speechless. “I mean… I can…” Jimin nervously fidgets with his sleeves. “I can defend myself, hyung…” Yoongi’s eyes flicker up to look at him, Jimin gulping nervously. To his surprise, Yoongi smiles. It's a genuine smile, one with his gums showing, like Jimin had said something remotely funny. “I know you can.” Yoongi says calmly, eyes raking up and down his body. Jimin feels hot under his heavy gaze, he can already tell he's blushing like a complete idiot now. “I just want to know so your hyung can beat the shit out of them as well.” Jimin is going to die. Jimin mutely nods, watching Yoongi walk past him and open the fridge again, like nothing happened. Jimin's still frozen in place, dying from actual embarrassment, his heart hammering in his chest. Yoongi must sense his unmoving presence, because soon, the elder stops his rummaging around to look at him. Yoongi turns over his shoulder, meeting Jimin’s eyes. The way Yoongi looks at Jimin is so noticeably different, almost like Jimin was something precious, admirable. It's no secret, it's obvious that Yoongi’s attitude towards Jimin had changed completely after the day they became partners. Since then, Yoongi has treated him far more gently, but at the same time, has never made him feel useless or like he is incapable of doing things for himself. He treats Jimin with mutual respect, never downplaying his achievements or looking down on him. “What are you standing there for?” Yoongi asks, but there's no bite to the question. “Go sit back down, I’ll make you something to eat.” Jimin’s going to explode. “What do you want?” Yoongi mindlessly asks, still digging around in the fridge. He's looking around, checking things thoroughly. “Um…” Jimin swallows, jumping up to take a seat on the counter instead. His legs swing from the top, a hand nervously combing through his honey-blond locks, “Whatever you want?” Jimin cringes a bit at his own words, but Yoongi doesn't seem to mind. Yoongi selectively chooses a few more things from the fridge, before turning around. Jimin’s blushing like an idiot now, realizing Yoongi was willingly cooking for him. “You know, you don't have to,” Jimin continues, fidgeting with his sleeves. “It’s my turn to cook today, hyung.”  “I'm aware of that, Jiminie.” Yoongi murmurs lowly, rummaging around and taking out various ingredients. “I want to make you this. I think you'll really like it.” He turns over his shoulder and smiles at the younger, and Jimin's stomach flips. Jimin nods wordlessly, his cheeks heating up. He slides off the counter and makes his way back to the table, where he pulls out his textbook from his bag, cracking it open to the page he had left on earlier in class. He continues to jot down whatever detailed notes he can, reading over each page multiple times; the aroma of the food Yoongi is cooking literally distracting him from his work. Roughly thirty minutes pass before Yoongi finally turns off the stove, carefully serving the food in one big plate, topping it with something else. Yoongi sets down the steaming plate on the middle of the table, and Jimin feels his mouth water. It smells delicious, god, it looks delicious — he really doesn't know how Yoongi made it look so amazing. Jimin immediately closes his book, putting away his notes, and leans forward, staring at the food with wide eyes. It looks absolutely amazing. Yoongi sits beside him, grabbing a pair of chopsticks and picking apart at the dish. Yoongi picks up a little piece of meat on the side carefully, blowing on it gently, before holding it up to Jimin’s face. He looks at him expectantly, and Jimin’s eyes widen as he stares at it. He doesn't say anything, but Jimin knows what he wants. Jimin opens his mouth, allowing the elder to feed him. Yoongi is searching for a reaction, and Jimin can't help it when a loud moan immediately escapes his lips. The meat is so tender and warm, the flavor practically melting in his mouth. He can tell Yoongi put a lot of effort into cooking his meal, like he has legitimate experience with it. Jimin looks up at him excitedly. “Hyung, this is amazing!” Jimin grins at him, giggling when he notices Yoongi blush at the compliment. “I love it, this tastes so much better than the restaurants I go to!” Yoongi smiles, leaning forward to muss up Jimin’s fluffy hair. “I’m glad.” Yoongi grins, settling back in his chair. “I used to work for my mom’s restaurant, cooking and all that.” Jimin looks up at him in surprise. “I’m really glad you like it.” Jimin shakes his head. “No, I love it!” Jimin corrects him, happily accepting another bite when Yoongi holds up another piece to his lips. Yoongi watches him fondly, the elder genuinely content to see him so satisfied, so happy. He watches as Yoongi takes a bit of his own food, popping it into his mouth, nodding and pouting his lips. “It's pretty good, actually.” Yoongi murmurs, the elder sounding somewhat impressed with his own work. “Damn.” “It's amazing, hyung!” Jimin corrects him again, and he swears that he sees Yoongi blush at his praise. “You're so good at cooking, hyung, can you please cook for me mo—!” Jimin’s silenced with another mouthful of food, the younger nearly choking and dying as Yoongi continues to shove food in his face, effectively shutting him up. He swats at Yoongi’s hand, batting it away like a cat. That day it is decided; Yoongi’s laughter is Jimin’s favorite sound.
We won't give up, I will stay by your side.
☀☀☀     Jimin decides to meet Taehyung and Jungkook for lunch, the two of them on a break from missions following an incident. Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook, both Jimin’s childhood best friends, had ended up officially dating some time last year. It didn't come as a surprise to Jimin that they would end up together, the two of them always having been practically glued to the hip. Growing up, Jungkook had always been rather attached to Taehyung, the youngest boy always having been more reserved and shy. And Taehyung had always been the loudest, the most confident out of the three — with Jungkook naturally gravitating to his energy and high spiritedness and usually coming to Jimin for emotional support. Jimin was sure that the three of them were each other's platonic soulmates. From the start, Jimin had always predicted that Taehyung and Jungkook would end up being romantic soulmates and partners in the future, their compatibility and chemistry with each other being rather impressive and on a whole other level. It was ironic, especially since Taehyung had always said how he wanted to be Jimin’s partner — only for the boy to end up being the first in his family to actually become a meister rather than a weapon. Jungkook on the other hand, was a part of a rather rare lineage — the youngest able to transform into a few specific weapons, rather than stay in just one form. Unlike a majority of weapons, Jungkook could easily transform into dual chains, a dagger, or can just stay in his regular form; a katana sword. In a way, he fit together with Taehyung’s spontaneity, with his fluid, varying fighting style. Taehyung never stuck around to fighting in one specific way, instead, the meister was well-known to fight in alternating or very different styles each and every time he was in battle. Jimin had always secretly wondered about the two, how they managed to work so well — especially with being partners. It was almost like working with death, putting the person you love the most in the face of danger. Jimin would never understand it.  “Isn't it weird?!” Jimin asks, looking between the two. Jungkook is very clearly in his own world, daydreaming and mindlessly sipping on something that eerily looks like a fucking glass of foamy milk. Taehyung sits beside him, hand running through his long and toussled silver strands. “Dating my weapon?” Taehyung frowns, turning over to Jungkook, his gaze softening. “No, it's not weird! It's more common than you think.” Taehyung pouts. “Chim, come on now, it's been like a year and a half now.” “He's right,” Jungkook slurps the last of his drink, settling back in his seat. “Our soul bond was already very strong, so when I started having feelings for Tae and vice versa, it was kinda obvious that he felt the same way.” Jungkook shrugs casually before continuing, “It kinda just happened, y'know?” Jimin pleasantly chokes on his fucking iced coffee. “What?!” Jimin hisses, glaring between his two best friends. “What do you mean, it's kinda obvious — what do you mean it kinda just happened?!”
Does this mean Yoongi already fucking knew about his embarrassing crush?!
“I mean, it is kinda obvious, and it did kinda just happen! You can't really fight what the heart wants!” Taehyung declares enthusiastically, resting his chin on his hands. “Okay, tell me more about this scythe guy. Do you notice him acting any different?” Jimin shakes his head slowly, reluctantly. He doesn't really notice any difference, only really noticing how Yoongi has been more affectionate towards him since they first resonated together, a sheer difference from when they first met. Other than that, Jimin really hasn't noticed anything quite different about their relationship. Taehyung huffs loudly. “No possessiveness?” Taehyung glances over to Jungkook, ruffling his hair. “No like, awkward tensions? Weird fluctuations in your soul link?” Jimin pauses. Wait a fucking second. “Um…” Jimin fidgets around. “I don’t think so?" He thinks back to a previous incident that had happened not too long ago — one where Yoongi had nearly fought another student (the man clearly intoxicated in some way) who had tried to flirt and touch Jimin's ass. Thankfully, Yoongi had been quick to pull Jimin away before he could do so, and nearly attacked the man for trying anything in front of him.  Jimin blushes at the memory. "But he really doesn't like it when people try to touch me when we are outside of our missions," Jimin looks at his own small hands, playing with the rings on his fingers. "Especially when it's in front of him and—” “He likes you.” Jungkook deadpans, shrugging his shoulders loosely when both meisters turn to him incredulously. “It's a weapon’s duty to protect their meister, it's our sole purpose, really.” Jungkook looks over at his boyfriend affectionately. “But, it's obvious that he wants to protect you outside of combat and stuff which means a lot, so yeah. He likes you.” Jimin turns to Taehyung, the younger meister smugly smiling at his boyfriend. “Was he like that?” Jimin asks at long last, pointing at a flustered Jungkook. Taehyung grins, bursting out laughing. “He didn't want me out of his sight, it was kinda fucking cute.” Taehyung rests his head on Jungkook’s shoulder, clinging to his side affectionately. “Kookie didn't know how to act.” And before Jimin can continue asking his invasive questions to the couple, the door opens with another jingle, and in walks Min fucking Yoongi amidst a crowd of other people. Jimin immediately spots him from the crowd — Yoongi wearing another large black hoodie paired with tight, ripped jeans. His pale skin shows through the tears, and it shouldn't be that hot, but it really is. Yoongi looks around the bustling room, and Jimin nearly has a heart attack when he nearly locks eyes with him. Jimin squeaks panickedly, immediately shrinking down in his seat. He can begin to feel his bond go haywire, almost like it was reacting to just Yoongi’s presence alone. Taehyung and Jungkook stare at him weirdly, looking around. They're searching the room with their eyes, trying to find the source of Jimin’s embarrassment. “What are you doing?” Taehyung whispers loudly, shrinking down alongside his best friend. “Why are you hiding?” “That's him, he just came in here,” Jimin whispers back miserably, hiding down even further. Jungkook and Taehyung crane their heads about, gasping dramatically as they notice Yoongi already ordering at the front register, swiping his card through the reader. “Is he the really little one with white hair?” Jungkook asks for further confirmation, raising an eyebrow, “And really bad posture?” “We’re the same height, actually…” Jimin buries his face in his small hands. “He's not that little…” “He's so cute!” Taehyung squeals, clapping his hands excitedly. “I have to talk to him. Quick, what's his name?” Jimin panics. No way is he letting this happen, no fucking way. From the corner of his eye, he can see Yoongi’s finally done paying, the elder standing off and patiently waiting for his drink, his eyes looking at something on his phone. He leisurely scrolls through something, and Jimin can't stop staring at how effortlessly fucking attractive he really is. He's fucked. “God, no. Please don't call him over here.” Jimin is ready to explode, he wonders if Yoongi already knows he's here. “Jungkook, help, please.” Jungkook holds his hands up in surrender. He knows better than to intervene. “Jimin’s scythey boy!” Taehyung hollers, standing up and waving his arms around wildly and catching Yoongi’s attention. Other people begin to look at him like he's crazy, moving away from the meister. Yoongi’s head snaps up to look at Taehyung, who begins gesturing over to their table. And at this point, Jimin is honestly ready to just fucking disappear.  Yoongi reluctantly makes his way over, frowning. He walks over with both hands shoved his pockets now, his cat-like eyes narrowed suspiciously. And then he notices Jimin, his face buried into his hands. “Jimin?” Yoongi looks at him in genuine concern. “Are you feeling okay?” Jimin weakly nods from his spot on the table, not trusting himself to speak. Before Yoongi can continue to talk, Taehyung redirects the scythe’s attention back towards himself. “I'm Taehyung, Jimin’s best friend.” Taehyung pats Jungkook’s head. “This is Jungkook, my boyfriend and partner. We just wanted to meet you in person, we've heard so much about you!” Yoongi looks between them, nodding cautiously. “Yoongi,” He mumbles, eyes still lingering on Jimin. He looks a bit concerned, more confused than anything else. “I hope that Jimin hasn't said anything too bad about me.” Jimin opens his mouth to interject, but Taehyung cheerfully cuts him off. “No, trust me, you're just as handsome as Jimin said you were,” Taehyung winks at him, and Jimin seriously wants to fucking crawl into a hole and die. He covers his face out of pure mortification, shrinking back in his seat. An awkward silence passes between the group, the only noise coming from Jungkook — the youngest slurping his already-empty glass of milk, looking between the three amusedly. Yoongi clears his throat, Jimin's head snapping up to look at Yoongi. Jimin’s jaw immediately drops at the flustered sight of his partner, because he really hadn't expected to see the Min Yoongi, actually fucking blushing?!  But before anyone can say another word, Yoongi’s name is announced at the barista window; his iced cold brew ready to be picked up. “Gotta go,” Yoongi nods off to Taehyung and Jungkook, an endearing pink dusting his cheeks. “I’ll see you tonight, Jiminie.” “Yeah,” Jimin squeaks embarrassingly, smiling at him. He ignores his friends' eyes on him, already knowing how much shit the two would give him for this. His heart obnoxiously races in his chest, his voice pitching higher. “See you later, hyung!” Yoongi returns a tiny, shy smile before walking over to take his drink. They watch him leave the café with wide eyes, Taehyung turning to Jimin scandalously the literal second Yoongi walks out the door. “Is it just me, or doesn't it kinda sound like he was implying that he is going to fuck you tonight?” Taehyung blurts out, Jungkook erupting into a fit of laughter beside him. “Wait, he fucking calls you Jiminie? ”  A beat of silence passes, both Taehyung and Jungkook exchanging a look. The look. “Yeah, you're getting fucked tonight.” Taehyung deadpans, Jungkook bursting out laughing again. “Oh my god, please.” Jimin facepalms, groaning. “Please, Tae, please.”
The reasons why we met don't even matter, we are drawn together.
☾☾☾    His whole life, Yoongi has always been known as gifted. Certain things came rather easy to him, the elder being rather skilled when it came to learning new concepts, new techniques. He's surprisingly good in combat, at being able to use what he's learned rather effectively, strategically. Therefore, Yoongi has never studied for a damned thing. He simply didn't feel the need to, especially when things came so easily to him. After all, why should he waste precious time on shit he already understands? He's well aware that because of this, others see him as lazy or as a slacker, when in reality, Yoongi has never really seen a reason to attend class or to actually fucking do any of his work. But deep down in his heart, he knows he shouldn’t do this, especially when Jimin, the most hard-working person he has ever met in his entire life, tries so damned hard for him.  So, Yoongi does his best to keep himself up to what he assumes are Jimin’s standards, the elder not wanting to disappoint him. He knows Jimin always goes the extra mile, always trying so hard to learn new things, always for searching for ways to improve — and Yoongi genuinely admires him. Yoongi constantly sees how Jimin keeps himself awake reading or studying, to the point where the weapon has to stop him and remind him to rest. Hell, he's seen how Jimin's hard work pays off. He's seen Jimin's grades — the younger having a literal perfect academic record with not a single failed test or missed assignment, a perfect score on literally every assignment he has ever submitted or done. It blows his fucking mind. And while Yoongi admires Jimin, he really hates him at the same time. Yoongi hates how Jimin, the academy's local good boy, is already beginning to have such a positive fucking effect on him — Yoongi genuinely wondering if Lord Death had paired Jimin with him on purpose. For fuck's sakes, Yoongi's actually attending class now, actually starting to pay attention to his lectures, and now he's actually studying in the library, for crying out loud. It's utter blasphemy. Yoongi sits at one of the empty tables in the back, head hunched over a large, dictionary-like book. He reads each page quickly, making a few mental notes here and there, other times having to reread the lengthier, more confusing paragraphs. It's enough to give him a headache, but Yoongi does what he can to stay focused, to learn what he can.  Yoongi jolts up the second he feels a gentle tap to his shoulder. Yoongi looks up, surprised to see Jimin's face literally inches from his own; an adorable blush dusting the younger's cheeks. He stares at Jimin, his eyes wide — like he had been caught doing something wrong. "You wear glasses?" Jimin asks him sweetly, his soft voice so pleasant, too pleasant to Yoongi's ears. Yoongi reaches up, touching the rim of his glasses, nodding dumbly. "Yeah, reading glasses for um, studying." Yoongi mutters, leaning a bit away from the younger, turning his head away. He really doesn't know how to act with Jimin putting himself so close— does Jimin not have any awareness of personal space at all?! "You were actually studying?" Jimin looks at him weirdly, as if the fact alone was some huge phenomenon. "You?" He gestures around the empty area around them. "In the library?" "It would appear so, Jiminie." Yoongi admits flatly, glancing back down at the page he reading (before he was rudely interrupted by the academy's stellar good boy).  Yoongi had to admit — the book was boring as hell and he would much rather talk to Jimin instead, but he knows it must be done. He couldn't let down his meister. "Really?" Yoongi hears Jimin whisper under his breath. To his amusement, Jimin looks genuinely surprised, and honestly, Yoongi would be too if he were in a similar situation. A few seconds pass before Jimin interrupts him again. "So, are you like actually studying, hyung?"  Yoongi rolls his eyes, reaching forward and playfully messing up his meister's hair. Jimin squeaks, hitting his hand away, cutely whining about Yoongi messing his hair up. "Why must you always judge me, Jimin-ah,"  Yoongi holds up the large book to his face, adjusting his glasses on his face. "Just let me read my book in peace, you fucking nerd." Jimin laughs at that, rolling his eyes. He finally walks around the table and plops down in the free seat beside him, claiming it for himself. From the corner of his eye, he can see Jimin get situated next to him, taking out his own books and things on the table before turning to look Yoongi.  "Do you mind if I sit here, hyung?" He asks cheekily, adorable little smile plastered on his face. Yoongi's mouth twitches, he wants to fucking smile at him back — he's more than certain that Jimin should honestly be fucking illegal. "Do what you want, Jimin," Yoongi clears his throat a few times, trying to hide his smile behind his fist.  Time seems to pass quicker than Yoongi thinks. Yoongi looks up after what feels like an eternity, the elder finally deciding to give his eyes a rest from the words on the page. His head is beginning to hurt, and he glances down at his phone, surprised to see how late it had gotten. It would most definitely explain why the library was mostly empty, the few of the students who had been around having left a long time ago. From the corner of Yoongi's eye, he can still see Jimin studying, staring down at the book in front of him. Yoongi turns completely to look at him, and now he can see Jimin's head drooping down, his eyes squinting as he tries to focus and stay awake.  Yoongi can't help but stare at him.
He's so fucking cute.
Yoongi closes up his book with a snap, standing up. He pulls Jimin up to his feet, the younger looking up at him in surprise. "Let's go back home," Yoongi suggests, gently rubbing and kneading the younger's shoulders. Jimin seems to melt under his touch, and Yoongi can tell that his meister is sleepy. Later that night, Yoongi wonders if Jimin had only stayed around to give him company, despite his own exhaustion.
Our destinations are exactly the same, so run through the unbearable night alongside me.
☀☀☀    Yoongi and Jimin work surprisingly well together.  So well, that the two ace whatever mission that they're on — blowing through the easier ones without breaking a sweat. The two of them climb the rankings, literally sweeping past the other students and duos, before they make it to the top ten. Here, they are faced with the best of the best of the entire school — with Seokjin and Namjoon earning the top spot and Taehyung and Jungkook fluctuating from rank four to five every now and then. Rumor has it that Yoongi had made it on the top ten ranking system with his previous meister, Jung Hoseok. He wasn't sure where Yoongi had gotten before Hoseok's disappearance, but honestly, Jimin didn't care about the ranking — he only wanted to achieve the best he himself could get. But despite this, he's constantly compared to Yoongi's previous meister by his peers, by their instructors. By default, Jimin is pressured to do well, to go above and beyond everyone's expectations.  As the only scythe-meister on the entire top ten list— Jimin has the overwhelming urge to perform better, to showcase his skills even more. And so, he does. In just one week, Jimin moves from his newcomer's spot at rank ten — to rank eight. No one could believe how fast the two were climbing, it was impressive, if not absolutely terrifying in a way. Jimin was happy that people were finally respecting his hard work, Yoongi's hard work; their dedication as a team really shining through. Despite their incredible progress, Jimin doesn't stop, he knows he can't. He's taken on task after task, completed everything that he can either with Yoongi (or party missions alongside Taehyung and Seokjin), the younger boy doing everything in his power to do better. Jimin doesn't want to slow down. He knows that Yoongi is fucking strong and is well aware that he has so much potential waiting to be unlocked— everything about Yoongi so incredible, admirable.  And the last thing Yoongi needs is for his own meister to slow down his progress. The mission they had taken on was an exceptionally high-ranking one. Normally, Jimin knows he would have done better, he knows this for a fact, if he hadn't taken the mission right after completing another. Jimin didn't care anymore about his own wellbeing, the younger constantly taking on mission after mission without making time for any breaks or rests. By this point, he was so desperate to turn Yoongi into a Death Scythe, desperate to prove everyone who had doubted him wrong. And at this point, they were so close to their goal, nearly at seventy corrupt souls in such a short period of time. The two of them were working at an incredibly rapid pace, the both of them moving up the ranking together and becoming unstoppable. But, Yoongi had warned him. With the higher rank meant more difficult, deadlier opponents; reports of some students actually having been killed on some of these missions. Yoongi had urged him to take breaks after their more tiring missions, not for his sake, but for Jimin’s. But of course, Jimin hadn't listened. He lied to Yoongi, telling him he was ready to take on more missions, lied that he was already rested and prepared to take on more than what he could handle. Jimin was honestly, extremely desperate. He wanted to unlock Yoongi’s true potential. It was one of his biggest fears- Jimin didn't want to feel like he was holding him back with his own progress. After all, what kind of meister holds back their own partner with their progress? So, Jimin had neglected every single one of Yoongi’s warnings, especially when Jimin decided it was a good idea to accept a solo mission initially meant for six individuals to complete. The task seemed simple at first — to take down a corrupted demon weapon with an absurd amount of strength. The reward for defeating the man was fucking huge, Yoongi would be even closer to becoming a Death-Scythe, and they would move up an entire rank as a result of it. But Jimin was fucking stupid, and he realizes this as he's facing the enemy; knowing damned well that he's running on fumes. Jimin had been able to hold off the enemy for quite some time, even knocking the man around here and there, making sure to keep a safe distance from him at all times. The battle is tiresome and takes a brutal toll on his already-worn out body, and Jimin can already tell that he won’t be able to last much longer. Around halfway through their battle, Jimin begins to feel the brutal exhaustion kick in— and he knows that Yoongi can tell something is off. Jimin continues to dodge the man’s attacks, occasionally using Yoongi to deflect the man’s weaponed arm. Jimin keeps his distance, he knows better than to touch a corrupted demon weapon. Jimin tries to catch his breath, his chest heaving with small pants. His body aches- his head is throbbing and twinging with so much pain. All Jimin can do is use Yoongi to keep himself standing, the meister's grip on his scythe tight.  “Be careful,” Yoongi warns him, the elder sounding a bit nervous, strained. “He's hitting hard, he knows what he's doing.”  Jimin nods in silent understanding, brandishing the scythe by his side. He's making sure to keep his distance, Jimin knows better than to put himself or Yoongi in any unnecessary danger. Jimin’s constant dodging has thankfully cornered the evil man, leading him just where Jimin wants him, backed up against a wall. “Give it up, surrender now.” Jimin glares at the man, holding his scythe out. “You're finished.” The man has the fucking audacity to laugh at him. “Aren't you a pretty little thing." The man looks him up and down shamelessly. "Are you even a meister?” He taunts, sneering at Jimin, “Come on then, come at me, bitch! Finish me off!" Jimin clenches his jaw, his grip on the scythe tightening. For some reason, the man’s words actually upset him over something so fucking stupid. It must be the exhaustion, after all, Jimin hasn't rested properly in what feels like fucking forever.  “Calm down,” Yoongi’s voice is always so soothing, the elder's composure so calm and collected. “Don't let him provoke you like that. You're doing fine, Jimin.”  It’s strange how Yoongi manages to gives him peace of mind, how he always calms and quiets his troubles and concerns so easily, so effortlessly. Jimin is sure it’s this way because Yoongi is his weapon, thus, the two of them have these effects on each other. In the past, Jimin’s read a bit on soul bonds, understanding it to be quite complicated and to affect not only the soul, but the person as well. “Yeah, sorry.” Jimin murmurs apologetically. He continues to stand defensively, eyes locking with the man. The evildoer must sense his apprehension, his exhaustion, and much to Jimin's annoyance, decides to act on it. “What's this? You tired already, pretty boy?” The man taunts him, teetering from foot to foot. “That’s a fucking shame.” Jimin can't respond to him— he only steadies his scythe, awaiting further preparation. The man charges forward at an absurd, unnatural speed, and Jimin is quick to defend his first attack. He swings his scythe forward, dodging just barely, using Yoongi to keep some distance from him — which only upsets the man even further. “Stop fucking running, just fucking fight me!” The man roars furiously, and Jimin really doesn't know what to do anymore; he knows the demon is just toying with him, at this point. This was most definitely the power of a highly corrupt weapon, one who's taken so many innocent souls. There's no other explanation, the man being rather inhumanly strong. There's no surprise that he's hurting Yoongi as well, the elder wincing and grunting every time they collide. By this point, it's a tiresome game of stamina— and both Yoongi and Jimin are beginning to wear out. Jimin watches the man swing forth again, and Jimin barely dodges this time, ducking down just in time. Jimin tries to put distance between them again, but to his horror, he sees the man reach out to grab him. And this time, Jimin makes the mistake of not using Yoongi to block the villain's attack. He knows it's illogical to do so, but Jimin refuses to put the elder in any further pain, knowing damned well that it was his fault that they were in this position to begin with. He knows it's a stupid thing to do, but he never imagined it would hurt like this. Jimin screams in agony the second the man touches his bare skin, a horrendous, blinding pain coursing through his veins — his slender body convulsing in the man's grasp. For a moment he blacks out, completely disassociating with reality and his own surroundings. His body is thrown off to the side, the meister hitting the asphalt with a loud thud. Despite the fall, Jimin refuses to let go of Yoongi.  “Jimin!” Yoongi calls out to him, the elder's reflection visible in the blade. He stares at Jimin, eyes wide with visible concern and panic, as the meister struggles to rise back up to his feet. “Shit, are you okay?!”  “I'm fine, hyung,” Jimin grits his teeth, hot tears burning in his eyes. He’s most definitely not fine — he feels like he's about to fucking die; like his head is going to split in half. He doesn't know what exactly the man did to him, but he feels literally drained of what little energy he had left in him. Jimin uses Yoongi to steady himself, digging the scythe’s hilt into the broken gravel. He catches Yoongi’s concerned reflection in the ruby, black tipped blade — the elder still staring at him.  “I don't think we can win this,” Yoongi warns him cautiously. He sounds worried. “He's too strong, and we can't get close to him. We should abort this mission, Jimin.”  Jimin tightens his grip on the hilt, weakly looking forward, his vision hazy. Jimin can see the man rushing towards him at an absurd speed, taking advantage of the situation. Before Jimin can even act to defend himself, the man is already colliding into him, knocking him back. Jimin loses his footing and the man uses his misstep to his advantage — his bare hands grabbing onto Jimin again, sending him into another episode of intense pain. The man uses this opportunity to grab onto Jimin and to toss him back into the nearby wall, as if he weighed literally nothing at all.  “Shit!” Yoongi curses loudly as Jimin is blown back by the force of the throw, his back hitting the wall. "Jimin!"  This time, Jimin's body gives up. Jimin slumps down, his knees giving out from under him, finally collapsing onto the ground. He's most definitely reached his limit now — the younger’s head spinning as he falls to the ground, curling into himself. He's fucking drained, his body throbbing and already shutting down. His head pounds and the meister can't even see straight anymore, his vision blurred. He sees the man walking towards him, knowing damned well that Jimin had finally reached his limit. Jimin struggles to raise himself up, desperately trying to get back onto his feet, only to collapse back down. He's exhausted himself completely, the meister unable to even move his body properly. Yoongi is scattered somewhere beside him, the scythe fallen flat on the ground. He can hear Yoongi’s labored breathing, his breathy grunts of pain — and Jimin’s heart aches for him. He's failed him as a meister as well. Yoongi trusted him with both of their lives, and Jimin had thrown it all away. Jimin can see the man continue approach him, and for the first time in his entire life, Jimin is completely at an enemy's mercy. He's too weak to fight back, he can't even fucking run away if he wanted to. All Jimin can do is lay on the ground, trembling. He's so stupid, he's overworked his body to the point of exhaustion— and now he was going to die as a result of his own stupid decisions. Jimin’s an idiot. A complete fucking idiot. The man comes closer towards him and Jimin closes his eyes the second he hears the footsteps stop directly in front of him. He mentally apologizes to Yoongi for failing him, already preparing to die to the evildoer's hands; until Yoongi transforms. Yoongi quickly shifts from his weapon-forme back into a human, the elder appearing directly in front of Jimin. Yoongi shoves the man away from him, quickly bending down and hovering over Jimin protectively. He narrows his eyes at the villain, his breathing ragged and raspy. “Don't you fucking think about it,” Yoongi growls, squaring his shoulders intimidatingly. He hunches himself over Jimin's shivering body to shield him, locking eyes with the man. “If you so much as lay a fucking finger on my meister, I’ll rip you to pieces.” Yoongi’s prepared to die for him. Jimin shivers. The man glares down at Yoongi, scoffing. Jimin’s head is still spinning — the younger able to sense Yoongi’s exhaustion as well. Jimin can see the way Yoongi's body trembles, his partner is obviously tired and worn out — but is still sacrificing himself, his own body and spirit, just to protect Jimin. And to his horror, Jimin realizes that Yoongi doesn't even have the energy to transform parts of himself into a weapon– the elder transformed fully in his human-forme. “I was wondering what you'd look like, kid,” The man looks at Yoongi, laughing maniacally, “You see, I have a soft spot for you weapons,” The man grins widely, tilting his head up, “Because I was once like you, ready to die for my meister. Then I realized that they're all the fuckin' same." He tuts disapprovingly. "They thought they could fucking control me, that they were better than me." The man rolls his eyes, "But in reality, they were fuckin' nothing without me. They're nothing but weak, pathetic humans." The man glares death at Jimin, before turning his attention back to Yoongi.  “I’ll let you go,” He smiles eerily at Yoongi, tilting his head over to Jimin’s direction. “It's your meister’s soul I want, not yours. I don't want unnecessary bloodshed here.” Yoongi stays quiet, but stays hunched over Jimin. His actions speak louder than words, something the man doesn't appreciate in the slightest. The main raises an eyebrow at his defiance. “Get the hell out of my way,” The man growls lowly, raising his arm, a fully transformed axe above his head. “Do you want to fucking die, you stupid idiot?” Yoongi doesn't move. Jimin’s head is throbbing, he wants Yoongi to leave him. He hates how helpless he feels, how Yoongi refuses to leave his side. Jimin weakly reaches out, tugging on Yoongi’s sleeve. He doesn't want Yoongi to die. “Yoon…” Jimin’s voice is hoarse, pleading— and before he can continue, Yoongi talks right over him. “You’re stupider than you look if you think I’m just going to let you take my meister’s soul.” Yoongi hisses, his attention fully on the salivating man. “We aren't the same. You’re a fucking monster.” The man cackles at that. “Don't act like a saint. You're telling me you've never wanted to eat his soul?” The man sneers, eyes flickering over to Jimin. “We’re weapons, we’re not fucking human! What's the difference between the souls we eat?!” The man waves his hands around wildly. “Good soul, bad soul, it doesn't matter what you eat, you still get fucking stronger!” The man grins, “There is no difference. A soul is a soul, kid!” Yoongi looks at the villain in complete disgust. “Back away,” Yoongi sounds legitimately pissed, his tone dangerous, laced with fury. “I’m fucking warning you. Try anything and you're dead.” He's bluffing. Jimin knows he is, he can tell — Yoongi is barely strong enough to even transform back into a scythe to do any real damage, let alone to take a fatal hit for Jimin. The man sneers, shaking his head at the both of them. “Whatever you say, kid.” He raises his hand again, and Jimin wants to scream, he wants to push Yoongi out of the way, but can't. "Fucking dumbass, dying for nothing." Jimin closes his eyes, waiting for the blow. But it never comes. Literal seconds before the villain murders the both of them, a loud banging sounds directly behind them — the sound of multiple bullets firing off in the distance, followed off by loud explosions. The man is blown back by the force of the blasts, sending him flying in the opposite direction. Yoongi takes this opportunity to shield Jimin from the explosions, pulling the meister close to him, protecting him from the flying debris. Yoongi envelops him in his arms, holding him tight, safe from harm. Before Jimin can see what’s happening, another shot goes off, followed by another explosion. Jimin grabs onto Yoongi for dear life, not knowing what the fuck was happening. He's scared, so fucking scared.  Yoongi must feel this, his partner's hands rubbing up and down his back, gently holding Jimin against him. When Jimin finally opens his eyes, he sees the corrupted man on the other side of the field, writhing around. He's screaming out of pure pain and agony, covering his eyes, the man literally blinded by something. Another blast goes off, and this time — it's Seokjin who appears from the shadows and smoke; the taller man pointing his pistol directly at the fallen villain. The corrupted man spasms and thrashes about on the ground, growling angrily at the Shinigami like a rabid animal.  “Nice aim, Jin.” Namjoon’s voice is calm, steady — the man having transformed into the pistol in his hand. Seokjin grins, dramatically taking a bow, before shooting the man a few more times, for good measure. The man screams out in pain, cursing the Shinigami — the demonic individual foaming at the mouth. He can see how Seokjin looks at him in pity, before stepping back. To Jimin's surprise, Seokjin doesn't kill the villain instantly. He leaves him to suffer, but doesn't execute him on the spot — a silent blessing the villain takes for granted. Jimin watches in horror as the man reaches out to grab at Seokjin’s ankle, maybe to trip him, but the Shinigami notices just in time— and swiftly jumps back. He looks at the man in disdain, with absolute disgust. “Don't touch me, filth.” Seokjin spits out, a glint of red glowing in his dark eyes. Jimin shivers at his fucking tone, he’s known that Seokjin was the son of Lord Death — but he's never really grasped how terrifying the Shinigami actually was. Jimin’s shaking out of pure fear. Yoongi must realize this, because the weapon brings Jimin closer to him, holding him in his arms. Jimin buries his head in Yoongi's chest, not wanting to fucking watch what happens next. The blast that follows is so loud, so fucking terrifying; Jimin flinches as the gunshot goes off one final time, followed by a deafening scream. There was no hesitation. The silence afterwards terrifies him. When he opens his eyes, he turns back — the corrupted weapon nowhere in sight. Jimin knows he's gone, he can't even sense his presence in the area anymore; the thought alone being absolutely overwhelming to him. Seokjin stands in the middle of the destruction, the smoke wisping around his form, surrounding him. Everything about the Shinigami's potential terrifies Jimin, the younger already secretly wondering what would have happened to them if the enemy had been on the same power level as Seokjin. There's no way they could have stood a chance against someone like that. Jimin knows that they would have been dead by now. Yoongi continues to cradle Jimin in his arms, holding the younger boy against him protectively.  Jimin's aware that Yoongi must sense his fear and his shock, and that he's doing everything he can to calm him down.  Seokjin turns back around, finally noticing Yoongi and Jimin on the ground and offering them a little salute. Namjoon shifts from the pistol into his human-forme, the tall man stretching his back and wrapping an arm around Seokjin’s waist, like nothing brutal had just happened. Jimin feels sick. If they had never shown up, they would be dead- the two of them mercilessly slaughtered. “Taehyung, did you get rid of the reinforcements?” Namjoon calls out, turning his head over to the other way. As if on cue, Taehyung sprints into the area, wielding his long samurai sword by his side. And there was reinforcements. Jimin couldn't believe it. “All taken care of, chief!” Taehyung calls out, before he immediately rushes over to Yoongi and Jimin, kneeling beside them. “Are you guys okay?” Taehyung asks, looking over Jimin and Yoongi concernedly. Jimin weakly nods from his spot against Yoongi's chest, his partner thankfully deciding to speak on his behalf. “He’s worn out.” Yoongi holds him steady, slowly helping Jimin to his feet. Yoongi wraps his arm around Jimin's waist gently, holding him up with utmost care. “He needs to take some time off to rest. It's my fault, I wasn't aware that he was overworking himself to this extent.” Jimin tries to protest, but Yoongi quiets him down. Jungkook shifts from his weapon forme beside Taehyung, the younger looking down at them with wide eyes. “I can take him to the infirmary,” He offers politely, glancing over to Yoongi, silently asking for permission, "If you're fine with it." Yoongi declines his request in a heartbeat. “That won’t be necessary, he just needs proper rest.” Yoongi murmurs, hand rubbing over Jimin’s back. It isn't long until Jimin's knees finally give out from under him, Yoongi immediately lifting him into his arms. Jimin’s surprised, he’s never expected Yoongi to actually be strong enough to carry him so easily, the thought alone making him dizzy. “I’ll be taking him home," Yoongi mumbles, nodding off to the rest of them. “Thanks for your help. You really saved our ass.” Jungkook nods respectfully, helping Taehyung up beside him. He watches Taehyung take a tentative step forward, before Jungkook tugs him back. The meister looks troubled, like he wants to say something. “Make sure he’s okay!” Taehyung calls after him, and Yoongi nods back. "Be safe!"  Jimin knows Yoongi must be absolutely exhausted, but still takes full responsibility upon himself to take care of Jimin. He doesn't know how how he can even begin to repay Yoongi for being so selfless towards him.  Yoongi carries him in his arms, Jimin's entire body limp, weak. Yoongi keeps his grip around Jimin securely, allowing the younger boy to relax into his arms. Jimin rests his head on his shoulder, his arms thrown around Yoongi's neck.  Yoongi's pleasant warmth reminds Jimin that he is safe with him— and it relaxes him completely. All tension escapes his body, the younger knowing damned well that Yoongi would never let anything bad happen to him. Yoongi takes care of him, always makes him feel so safe, so... loved. Jimin buries his face in the crook of Yoongi's neck, sighing contentedly; eyes fluttering shut as his senses are overwhelmed with nothing but Yoongi. He can't get enough of him, how Yoongi always smells so fucking good, and at this point — Jimin truly believes that he's lost his mind. And at some point, Jimin must have fallen asleep, the younger not even aware when he drifted to sleep. When he wakes back up, he is still in Yoongi's arms, this time, the elder noticeably struggling to unlock their front door with one hand. He can tell Yoongi's wrestling around with the lock, trying to find the right key, cursing under his breath. After a few more attempts, Yoongi finally manages to unlock the front door. He pushes through, carefully maneuvering around with Jimin in his arms, the warmth of their home welcoming to him. Jimin clings to him tightly, nuzzling closer to Yoongi, seeking further comfort in the elder's touch. Jimin doesn't know what it is about Yoongi, just what makes him feel so safe, so at peace.  Everything about Yoongi is so healing. Jimin moves closer to him, and Yoongi must realize he's waken up by now, because the elder pats his back gently, before speaking, “I’m going to clean you up, okay?” Jimin nods as Yoongi helps him sit in his own bed, making sure he was okay, before the elder goes into their bathroom. He quickly returns with a little medical kit, kneeling beside Jimin. Jimin’s already half asleep, he feels like he can sleep for days, if possible. Yoongi holds him steady, He helps Jimin undress from his dirty, blood-stained uniform, carefully pulling it over his head. He pulls off his pants as well, covering Jimin up immediately afterwards. Jimin watches Yoongi through half-lidded eyes, the elder cleaning a few of his wounds, bandaging where he can. Jimin hisses in pain as the alcohol disinfects his open wounds and bloody skin, the burn lingering — but Yoongi is quick to patch him up. Thankfully, nothing had been too bad.  When Yoongi finishes, he quickly helps the younger change into something far comfier — a large sweater that he likes to wear to bed, before helping Jimin settle back in bed. Yoongi refuses to leave his side after that, making sure that Jimin stays nice and comfortable, the elder clearly worried for his well-being. He constantly checks if Jimin was alright, bundling him up with blankets and keeping him company. Jimin is so gone — absolutely gone with how gentle Yoongi is with him, how caring and tender he is. But before he can get up and leave, Jimin stops him. Jimin reaches out, taking Yoongi’s large hand in his own, making sure Yoongi doesn't leave his side. Yoongi looks down at their clasped hands in surprise, before a little smile tugs upon his lips. He looks taken aback, but nonetheless, extremely happy. His actions speak louder than his words, thankfully. Yoongi takes a seat beside him, looking down at him. His eyes are soft, so full of warmth and affection; and Jimin decides he wants Yoongi to look at him like that forever.  “You did so well,” Yoongi murmurs, carding his other free hand through Jimin’s hair. “Rest well, Jiminie.”   Jimin smiles.
Side by side, we'll battle through the night — and soon enough, we will find our way.
☾☾☾     The sexual tension between Yoongi and Jimin is absolutely horrendous. Yoongi isn’t sure how much longer he can keep this up, he's already weak — the elder not really knowing what the fuck to do anymore. At this point, the two of them are dancing around one another, daring each other to make the first move.  Yoongi was certain that Jimin knew what he was doing, the dangerous game he was playing. Yoongi was sure of it, how Jimin knew damned well what he was doing to him, how he had Yoongi wrapped around his little finger. It was horrible, torture, really — how fucking whipped he was. There was no turning back now, Yoongi had already lost in their little game. He was already so weak for Jimin. So weak, that he can’t deny Jimin when the younger boy asks Yoongi to drink with him that night — that eventually turning into a strangely intimate and flirtatious drunken game of truth or dare in the middle of their living room. Thirty minutes in and Yoongi’s already on his fourth drink, already feeling a bit buzzed. He’s more loose-lipped now, and a part of him wonders if that’s what Jimin wanted, if that had been his intention all along. “Truth or dare, hyung?” Jimin asks innocently, swaying back and forth. He’s completely fixated on Yoongi, and even Yoongi feels a bit nervous under his gaze. “Uh, truth.” Yoongi takes another sip of his alcohol, raising an eyebrow at the younger. Jimin’s already spacing out, genuinely thinking hard about what to ask Yoongi. He finally perks up with a question, the younger boy turning to him excitedly, his eyes sparkling. He's so pretty like this, Yoongi can honestly stare at him forever. “Have you kissed anyone before?” Jimin asks, bringing his knees up to his chest. Yoongi raises an eyebrow at the far too innocent question, he’s twenty-six years old, of course he has! “Uh, yeah, I used to date around when I was younger.” Yoongi glances at Jimin suspiciously, rounding on him. “Have you kissed anyone?” Jimin blushes furiously at the question, the younger clearly so flustered, and god — Yoongi’s absolutely fucked.
So, so, so fucked.

Yoongi takes Jimin’s awkward silence for an answer. “You… you haven’t kissed anyone?” Yoongi’s throat feels drier than sandpaper, and suddenly — he feels like he's fucking parched. Jimin looks embarrassed, his poor meister looking like he’s seconds from running out the door, tail between his legs. Jimin shakes his head slowly, and Yoongi nearly combusts on the spot. “That’s… good.” Yoongi stammers, his own cheeks heating up. The thought of Jimin being so innocent is too fucking enticing, and he knows that he really shouldn’t be thinking about his own meister like this. “Um… whoever you kiss with is going to be very lucky, Jiminie.” Jimin nods, his mouth open. He looks like he wants to say something, but doesn't — immediately closing his mouth and looking down ashamedly. He’s really cute when he's shy, Yoongi notes. By this point he can't handle it, literally everything about Jimin is fucking adorable and so endearing to him. “Truth or dare, Jiminie?” Yoongi asks lazily, resting his head on his hand. Jimin stares at him with wide eyes, before smiling at him. “Truth, hyung.” Jimin says sweetly, licking his lips. He's most definitely a flirty drunk, Yoongi can tell. Yoongi forces himself to look away from Jimin's plush lips, meeting the younger boy's gaze hesitantly. “Do you have someone in mind?” Yoongi mindlessly asks, and fuck, he’s an idiot, what is he thinking?! Jimin cocks his head to the side in confusion, reminding Yoongi of a lost puppy. “For your first kiss.” Yoongi blurts out, surprised to see Jimin nod so quickly, so fucking frantically. “Yeah, yeah, I have someone in mind.” Jimin giggles airily, nearly falling over on the cushion between them. “I want him to kiss me right now,” Jimin says somewhat dreamily, looking over at Yoongi, eyes half-lidded. Yoongi blushes at his words, the elder genuinely ready to cap Jimin on his alcohol and send him to bed; still unable to believe the younger had gotten so fucking wasted in such a short period of time. Yoongi takes a deep breath, finishing the last of his soju, and glancing at Jimin. The younger looks a little bit out of it, permanent blush dusting his cheeks, his eyes somewhat glassy as he stares at Yoongi. “Truth or dare?” Jimin asks softly, leaning forward. His voice is so velvety, always so pretty — it drives Yoongi fucking crazy. “Dare,” Yoongi says, smirking. Jimin looks visibly tormented by his choice, the younger’s been getting answers out of him left and right. Jimin looks frustrated, too out of it to really think of a dare, before something crosses his mind. Yoongi can see the moment an idea dawns upon Jimin, the boy's eyes widening, a cheeky grin plastered on his face. Yoongi panics. “I dare you,” Jimin slurs his words a bit, and Yoongi’s a bit concerned — wondering if he should call quits on the game while he still can. “Dare you to kiss me.” Yoongi blinks. He's not sure he's heard correctly, if Jimin had actually just said those words to him. “What?” Yoongi blurts out, jaw dropping when he realizes Jimin’s already crawling closer to him, straddling his hips. His heart is hammering in his chest, he can feel his ears fucking burning — his face heating up. Jimin’s literally inches from his face, the younger’s eyes on his lips. Jimin’s staring at him, pouty lips parted. Yoongi knows Jimin is seductive, Jimin himself knows he's seductive — and Yoongi really doesn't know what to do in this situation. “Yoongi-hyung,” Jimin breathes out, little tongue swiping over his pink lips, wetting them. He looks up at Yoongi, maintaining his eye contact. “Do you… do you want to kiss me?”
That does it.
Yoongi isn't sure if it was the innocent way Jimin had asked him, if it was because of his painfully obvious feelings for his meister, or if it was by how much Jimin affected him, simply by doing the bare minimum. “Fuck, Jiminie,” Yoongi murmurs, tilting the younger’s chin up and capturing the younger’s lips with his own. They're just as soft as he had imagined, so plush and welcoming against his own. Kissing Jimin is heaven in itself, and Yoongi can't help but sigh happily, deepening the kiss further. He has half a mind to make sure to be gentle, knowing this was Jimin’s first kiss. In a way, Yoongi could tell, especially with how Jimin was been frozen in place, not quite sure what to do. After a bit, Jimin regains his confidence and begins to move his lips shyly, trying to pull Yoongi closer to him.
It's cute — so fucking cute.
When they pull apart, they're both breathing deeply, staring at each other. Jimin’s eyes are blown wide, his cheeks tinted a noticeably bright pink, his lips kiss-swollen and puffy. He sits there in a complete daze, lost in Yoongi's eyes.  He's pretty like this, so visibly affected by the kiss, by feeling Yoongi like this.  And every now and then ,Yoongi can see Jimin's eyes fall back to his lips, his gaze lingering.
He wants more.
And without another word, Jimin leans back in. Jimin surges forward, nearly bumping their noses together, pressing his open mouth against Yoongi’s. Yoongi slides a hand around Jimin’s tiny waist, keeping him in his lap, resisting the urge to grind up against his ass. He isn't sure if it's the alcohol that's making Jimin this bold — or if he's doing the right thing by indulging Jimin like this. But in this moment, Yoongi doesn't want to let him go. Jimin kisses him needily, like he's trying to pull Yoongi in — desperately trying to unravel and take him apart. And fuck, it's absolutely working. Yoongi kisses him gently, taking the lead once more and running his tongue over his lips, tasting the bitter soju that had been in his meister’s mouth. It's as if Jimin is asking for him to devour him, little moans and whimpers escaping his lips when Yoongi deepens the kiss, mewling when Yoongi pulls him closer. When they break apart, Jimin looks thoroughly affected by the kiss, hands gripping tightly on the front of Yoongi’s shirt. He's breathing heavily, chest rising and falling, little pink tongue licking over his lips. Yoongi hates how he feels so tempted, how badly he wants to lean back in and press his lips against Jimin’s.
He can't.
“I…” Yoongi swallows nervously, tilting his head back when Jimin leans in again in another sloppy attempt to kiss him. “I should get going.” Jimin pulls back and looks at him in confusion, cocking his head to the side. He looks so fucking cute and clueless, and really, Yoongi realizes that he's fucked up badly.
What the fuck did he just do!?
Yoongi runs his hands over Jimin's clenched fists, loosening his grip and pulling him off of him. Jimin looks puzzled, the younger boy still staring at Yoongi in a daze. But before Yoongi can sit up and escape, he feels Jimin reach forward, taking Yoongi’s hand once more. Yoongi looks down in surprise, looking at Jimin’s significantly smaller hand clasped around his own; refusing to let go. “Can you sleep with me tonight, hyung?” Jimin asks him shyly, and Yoongi is really just so gone.   “Um,” Yoongi hates how nervous and hesitant he sounds, he hates how Jimin has such a powerful effect on him. The elder can't stop staring at his lips, knowing he had been the first to claim them, the first to touch them in such a way. He's never drinking again. “Please don’t leave me, hyung.” Jimin’s voice cracks, he looks up at Yoongi with large, teary eyes. “Why are you… do you want to leave me?” Fuck it all, Yoongi absolutely, positively, refuses to make Jimin cry. Yoongi shakes his head, kissing the top of his forehead — what is he fucking doing?!  “I’m not ever going to leave you.” Yoongi reassures him softly, rubbing his back. “Let’s go to sleep now.” Jimin’s eyes light up with evident happiness, reminding Yoongi of literal galaxies, of all of the prettiest cosmos in the universe. They carefully maneuver through their living area, Yoongi making sure Jimin doesn't walk into any walls or doors, making sure to Jimin-proof everything in sight. The younger is giggling about literally everything, he's not even sure why or about what in particular, every now and then falling onto him. Yoongi makes sure to grab a glass of water on the way, nearly dying and dropping it when Jimin crashes his lips into his for a third time. A few minutes (of painful struggle) later, Yoongi finally reaches the hallway leading up to their rooms. He turns around the corner into Jimin’s room, surprised when the younger walks ahead of him, dragging him to his bed. Jimin can hardly walk straight, but when he's determined — he’s fucking determined.  Yoongi takes a careful seat on the edge of his bed, Jimin joining him. He's an emotional and overly affectionate drunk, Yoongi supposes — because soon, Jimin’s clinging onto his free arm, refusing to let him go. Yoongi is actually going to die like this. He wiggles a little out of his grip, gently moving back. “Drink water, Jiminie,” Yoongi reminds him gently, coaxingly holding the glass up to his lips. Thankfully, Jimin finally releases his arm, taking the glass from him. He watches as Jimin drinks every last drop, before flopping back onto his bed in exhaustion. “Sleep with me, hyung.” Jimin whines, pouting as he pats the spot right beside him. Yoongi's brain is literally screaming at him to say no, but Yoongi truly cannot resist Jimin.  Yoongi wordlessly nods, settling back against Jimin’s bed, heart hammering in his chest.  Yoongi doesn't know what he's fucking doing — he's sure it's the alcohol in his bloodstream, because he doesn't know how he's even ended up here, in his meister's bed. The moment is so awfully intimate it drives Yoongi insane, driving the elder into some kind of internal torment. Jimin doesn't waste any time cuddling with him, pulling the elder close to him. Yoongi settles back against the fluffy pillow, moving the comforter and blankets around the both of them.  The second Yoongi gets comfortable, Jimin leans over him, already reaching under the bed and retrieving his laptop from under them. He opens it, typing in his login credentials and resting his head against Yoongi’s broad chest. He balances the laptop on his lap, clicking around on the trackpad until he's opened up a link of video he had been watching.  For a second, he really forgets that Jimin is completely fucking wasted. Yoongi watches as Jimin hits play on a new series he had been watching, the younger passionately explaining to him about what he missed, the plot and what not — explaining it in very brief, drunken terms. “‘s really good, hyung,” Jimin slurs a bit, coming closer to Yoongi. “I like it, the protagonist guy is really cute, but he's not as cute as you," He nuzzles into Yoongi's chest, "No one will ever be cuter than you, you're the cutest." Yoongi's face heats up at that, the elder nodding wordlessly. He tries to ignore how the compliment gets to him, how Jimin literally admitted he's fucking cute, no, the cutest — instead, desperately trying to distract himself with the shitty plot of the episode. As Yoongi watches he mindlessly traces little circles onto Jimin's skin, caressing him delicately. And surely enough, when he looks back down, he notices Jimin to be fast asleep — the meister still clinging to him.  Yoongi smiles down at him, continuing his caresses against his skin. He refocuses his attention back on the laptop screen, to the show Jimin had put on. The series was pretty mediocre at best, Yoongi personally thinking that it was rather generic and repetitive. Despite it, he tries to follow what's going on — but can't help when he begins to fall asleep, his head dropping forward, resting against Jimin's. And even in his dreams, he is kissing Jimin.     When he wakes up, it's the morning. Yoongi realizes Jimin is still fast asleep, and Yoongi settles closer to him, his entire body stiff. Yoongi glances down to see the younger clinging to him, arms still around him in a literal vice grip. The laptop is still on and playing the series Jimin had been talking about. Yoongi reaches forward and closes the laptop shut, setting it back under the bed before shifting back, Jimin still wrapped around him. His head feels heavy and throbs mercilessly, a reminder of last night looming over him. He's hungover — he feels like absolute shit, already regretting having agreed to drink with Jimin. Every moment of the last night continues to play out in his head, each event of what happened still fresh in his memories.  Jimin had kissed him, he had kissed Jimin. He had been Jimin’s first kiss. Jimin asked him to sleep with him. They cuddled while watching a shitty series on Jimin's laptop. Yoongi had fallen asleep in the middle of watching it, and had woken up hours later — only to find Jimin still fast asleep on him. Yoongi hates to admit it, how much he loved every moment of it. Everything that had happened last night had felt so fucking right, like the both of them were made for each other, specifically created for one another.  And even now, as he lays in Jimin's bed with the younger tightly around him — does he feel at complete peace. It's surreal, Yoongi looking down at Jimin’s peaceful face, watching his chest rise and fall with each breath he takes. His plump cheek is still squished against Yoongi’s chest, he's practically drooling all over him — but Yoongi really doesn't think he's ever seen someone so beautiful before. Yoongi's in love. “I love you.” Yoongi helplessly whispers, pressing a featherlight kiss to Jimin’s forehead. He does it again, again, again– the elder punctuating each word with a kiss. “I love you, Park Jimin.” He feels better admitting it this way. But what Yoongi hadn't expected, was for the younger to hum happily, smooshing his lips against Yoongi’s chest. “Love you too,” Jimin murmurs, half asleep most likely, snuggling closer to Yoongi and leaving him completely dumbfounded. Being in love had always been a beautiful feeling, one that Yoongi had feared for so long now.  Until this point of his life, Yoongi had always been so scared to love, to be loved by another.
In the moments we touch, the clearer things become.
☾☀☾☀     Yoongi had been Jimin’s first kiss, as well as his first boyfriend. His first everything — his first weapon, his first love, his first partner. Yoongi was his first beginning.  Jimin had been Yoongi's last kiss, as well as his last boyfriend. His last everything — his last meister, his last love, his last partner.  Jimin was his last ending.   ☾☀☾☀   After their drunken shenanigans (mostly Jimin’s, really), the two of them decide to date. Jimin had proposed the idea first, remembering the way Yoongi had kissed his forehead that same morning, the way Yoongi admitted his love for him — something Jimin really hadn't meant to hear. Yoongi promised to make him happy. It comes as no surprise to the others, the second Yoongi and Jimin reveal the news — they had officially become a couple. There was no surprise once the others received the news of their relationship; after all, Jimin and Yoongi had naturally become closer and closer as time went by. Taehyung had declared it was only a matter of time, before collecting his bet money from Seokjin, Namjoon, and even his own boyfriend. “Congratulations, Jimin, Yoongi-hyung.” Namjoon smiles graciously at the both of them. “I was wondering when it'd be official, but I didn't think it would be so soon.” Jimin giggles nervously, the meister leaning against Yoongi’s side. “Thank you, hyung.” He singsongs, intertwining their fingers together. Yoongi’s thumb rubs over his hand, before the elder leans forward, pressing a light kiss against his temple. Seokjin on the other hand, looks ready to rip Yoongi apart. He hands Taehyung a literal wad of cash, the meister taking it happily. “How much did you even bet?” Jungkook snorts, peering over and looking at the fat wad of cash in his boyfriend’s hand. Taehyung flashes it over to him, before fanning himself with it. Jungkook whistles lowly, laughing loudly. “God damn, we are rich, Tae!” “We? Didn’t you lose money too?” Yoongi chuckles, Jungkook’s face dropping immediately. “Your own boyfriend just played you.” Taehyung snickers, sitting down in Jungkook’s lap — beaming over at Yoongi. "Don't you know? True love is conning your significant other," Taehyung leans back against Jungkook's chest, the younger boy's arms wrapping around his middle. "But for real, congratulations, you two!"  Jimin smiles happily, settling back against Yoongi's side. "Thanks, Tae!"  And before things can return back to normal, Seokjin stands up. Yoongi can already tell that he's going to be a pain in the ass, god — he can fucking sense it. Seokjin clears his throat loudly, tapping his spoon against his glass. Yoongi looks up at him unamusedly, half-tempted to smack the spoon out of the Shinigami's hand. "Attention, attention, I have to make a few things clear." Seokjin turns towards Yoongi and Jimin's direction, but kneels down in front of Jimin, taking a deep breath. "Listen to me, Jimin." Seokjin murmurs, taking Jimin's hands in his own. "I want what makes you happy. And if this lazy, good-for-nothing, foul-mouthed, short, irrtating scythe makes you happy..." Seokjin wipes a fake tear away from the corner of his eye. "Then so be it. I'm afraid I have no real choice but to accept this relationship..." Taehyung nearly doubles over laughing, Jungkook struggling to hold them both upright. "And you." Seokjin turns over to look at Yoongi, all playfulness gone. If Yoongi hadn't known Seokjin, he knows damned well that the elder would have struck the fear of Lord Death within him with that look alone. “If you do anything to him, break his heart, or if you do anything to hurt him— I’ll actually reap your soul.” Seokjin glares at Yoongi, the weapon rolling his eyes. Taehyung laughs at that, a mischievous twinkle glimmering in his wide eyes. “Hyung, I don't think you should talk about committing potential murder so openly,” Taehyung snickers, Jungkook laughing beside him. Namjoon shakes his head at his meister, the taller man clearly amused with the threat.  “I literally fear no one,” Seokjin deadpans, shrugging his broad shoulders. “I expect my little Jimin to be handled with care.” Jimin blushes at his words, exchanging a bashful look with Yoongi. Yoongi meets his eyes and smiles at him, before turning to look at Seokjin, his expression completely serious. “I'll take care of him.” He says, his voice soft, breathless. "I won't let anything happen to him. I'll protect him with my life." It's a promise.
Do you hear the echoes now, stronger than words?
☾☾☾     Both Jimin and Yoongi had become indubitably stronger as their soulbond grew closer, their role as Meister and Weapon being much more serious and intense.  Far more intense. Yoongi finds himself always all over Jimin, and he really can't help it. He can't help but notice the way people look at his Jimin, the way people stare at him — and it drives him absolutely fucking insane. Four months in their official relationship, do they decide to entrust themselves to each other fully. And by this point, Yoongi was absolutely gone.  Jimin giggles adorably, stumbling backwards as Yoongi surges forward, crashing their lips together. He ends up with his back against the wall, Yoongi pressing him against it, kissing him deeply. By this point, Jimin's noticeably a much more experienced kisser now (thanks to him, really), the younger still shyly initiating and riling Yoongi up on purpose. Jimin pulls back from their kiss, blinding smile plastered on his face. He tilts his head back, allowing Yoongi to ravish him, Yoongi taking this as an opportunity to plant kisses where he can reach, the younger squirming around. “What's gotten into you, hm?” Jimin leans forward and gently presses his lips to Yoongi’s jaw. Yoongi doesn't say anything, just continues to pepper Jimin’s face with kisses. “Everyone was looking at you,” Yoongi murmurs, reaching around to smack at Jimin’s ass. Jimin laughs, throwing his arms around Yoongi’s neck. “You look so fucking hot, babe.” “Oh?” Jimin smiles, the little tease. Yoongi knows that Jimin is aware that he looks good. “You know that I'm all yours, hyung." Yoongi hums, pressing a kiss against Jimin’s forehead. “All mine.” Yoongi growls, leaning forward to suck a mark against Jimin's neck. The younger gasps loudly, little fingers carding through the elder's white hair, gently pulling at the strands. Yoongi pulls back, admiring the little love mark blossoming against Jimin's golden skin; a telltale sign of who he belonged to. Jimin seems just as affected by it, bringing himself close to Yoongi's face, lightly panting. “Yoon,” Jimin whispers needingly, his breath hot against Yoongi’s ear. Goosebumps erupt over Yoongi’s skin, a chill going down his spine. “I want to do it tonight.” Jimin grinds down against Yoongi’s thigh, his hardness evident. “Do you want to?” Yoongi instantly understands what he means.
God, Yoongi has been fucking waiting.
“Are you sure?” Yoongi asks seriously, pulling away to look Jimin in the eye. “Baby, we don't have to, we can do our other things if you want. We don't have to rush if you don't-!" Yoongi is cut off with another chaste kiss. “I want it to be right now, with you, Yoongi.” Jimin sounds determined, and god — Yoongi knows he can't win against Jimin when he's got his mind set on something. “Can we please… can you…” Yoongi nods. “Fuck, Jimin, the things you say…” Yoongi presses another kiss to Jimin’s lips, before leading him off. “C’mon, baby. I got you.” Jimin nods, reaching out for his hand. Yoongi takes Jimin’s hand, leading him into his room. He pushes open the door and is met with darkness. Yoongi walks in, Jimin following close by. He turns on the lamp nearby, the dim light illuminating the room, casting a faint glow around each other. Yoongi sets his phone down to charge on the desk nearby, before sitting down on the side of the bed. Jimin is still standing nearby — he looks nervous, like he doesn't know what to do. Yoongi is really so fucking in love with him. “C’mere.” Yoongi features for Jimin to approach him, the younger doing so, albeit shyly. “So pretty, Jiminie.” He reaches forward, settling his large hands on Jimin’s hips. The unbuttons his pants quickly, before working on the buttons of his sheer shirt — pulling it off and letting it fall somewhere to the ground. Jimin shimmies out of his tight pants, sliding them over the swell of his ass and down his legs — and Yoongi nearly loses it there and then. He gently pushes the meister down against his bed, eyes widening as he drinks in the sight before him. Jimin looks like a wreck, and they've barely done anything. His honey-blond hair is tousled, messy across his forehead; eyes half-lidded and hazy with lust. He presents himself to Yoongi, his thin, yet toned figure, his thick thighs, his smooth legs. Yoongi's eyes are especially drawn to the black lace panties he’s wearing, the cute little red bow on the front. Yoongi swears that he's dating a literal angel. Yoongi crawls onto the bed beside him, caging the smaller boy beneath him. His long fingers trails up and down Jimin’s bare chest, ghosting over his perky nipples. He watches as Jimin twitches from underneath him; the younger so sensitive to his touch. “You're so gorgeous, I swear.” Yoongi smiles, laughing breathlessly when Jimin covers his face. “Stop that, baby. I want to see you.” “Hyung, please,” Jimin begs, the younger reaching around to pull Yoongi back down into another kiss. “Fuck me, please.” Yoongi smirks against his lips, slotting his bare thigh in between Jimin’s legs. He knows how desperate Jimin gets when he's horny, how needy and bratty he gets when he truly wants something.  Yoongi presses his thigh against Jimin's hardness, and the younger seems to like the extra friction against him. Jimin begins to move against him, moaning loudly into their kiss. Yoongi's hands travel down to his plump ass, the elder cupping it firmly, holding Jimin close to him. Jimin continues to grind against his thigh, Yoongi watching him do so closely. He notices the front of Jimin’s underwear to be stained with precum, the elder gently stilling his hips with both hands. “Lay on your back, spread yourself for me, baby.” Yoongi whispers, already reaching over into the nearby desk drawer, rummaging around and retrieving a bottle of lube.  If they were going to do this, they were going to do it fucking right. Jimin obediently lays against Yoongi’s bed, slipping the panties off and holding himself up, small hands holding the back of his thighs up and apart. He’s exposed under Yoongi’s eyes, biting down on his lower lip as Yoongi stares at him and drinks in the lewd sight in front of him. “You’re so pretty everywhere,” Yoongi murmurs, finger trailing from his cock, down to his pink, fluttering hole. Jimin whines at the touch, his entire body shivering with want. “So sensitive, baby.” Yoongi watches him closely, uncapping the bottle. Jimin's shy under his gaze, but he knows how much the younger loves to be marvelled, praised. Yoongi leans forward, bringing Jimin close to him. He pours some of the lube around Jimin's hole, murmuring little praises as he makes sure that Jimin is wet and messy for him. He knows that he has to extra careful, to take his time with everything — especially since Jimin was a virgin.  Yoongi generously coats his fingers with lube, before pressing one inside. He works his finger in and out slowly, before introducing a second — crooking his fingers inside. Jimin whines as Yoongi’s fingers continue to dip deeper into his heat, rubbing against him and slicking the younger up. He keeps Jimin occupied with more kissing, the younger soon nothing but a moaning mess. Yoongi is so lucky. By the time Yoongi is done stretching him, Jimin is already oversensitive. Yoongi pulls out his fingers and moves back, watching as Jimin writhes around on the bed, begging for more. Yoongi leans forward, pushing the smaller boy's knees up to his chest with no resistance, spreading him wide. Yoongi uncaps the bottle of lube once more, pouring some into his hand as he slicks up his thick cock. Jimin watches him, parting his legs further apart. He's enticing, impatient as ever, Yoongi notes. "Please, Yoonie, hurry up..." Jimin is whining again, and Yoongi delivers a light smack to his ass, shutting him up.  "You're so needy for my cock, hm?" Yoongi mutters, leaning over and throwing the younger's legs over his shoulders. Jimin's blushing furiously now, both of his little hands fisting in the sheets around him. Yoongi holds Jimin’s gaze before he begins to push inside the younger, moving in bit by bit. Yoongi takes a deep breath, forcing himself to move in slow — until he's breached Jimin's entrance entirely. It's fucking addicting, the way Jimin feels around him. The way Jimin sucks him in, the way his body spasms as he takes his cock entirely, the way his warm heat squeezes tight around him. When he’s fully inside, Yoongi makes sure to continue watching Jimin’s face, watching for any traces of pain or discomfort. Instead, Jimin is literally lost within his own pleasure, Yoongi not even sure if his boyfriend was even conscious anymore. “Good?” Yoongi grunts, shifting around and pressing a faint kiss to his parted lips. “It doesn’t hurt, right, babe?” Jimin shakes his head, exhaling loudly. Jimin’s so fucking tight, it takes all of Yoongi’s internal strength to not thrust up into his warm heat. Yoongi stays completely still, allowing Jimin to adjust to his length, being extra careful as to not hurt or strain him. He bites down on his lip the second Jimin begins to move against his cock slowly, the younger throwing his head back, an obscene moan escaping his lips. “You’re so much bigger than the toys,” Jimin whines, stopping and throwing an arm over his eyes. “Fuck, your dick is huge.” Jimin and Yoongi make immediate eye contact at that, the both of them bursting out laughing. It’s bizarre, but Yoongi thinks it's what makes the moment even more memorable. “Sorry, that was really unsexy.” Jimin giggles adorably, throwing his head back against the pillow. “Yoongi-hyung, your cock is big, it feels so good, ahhh.” Jimin exaggerates his moan, Yoongi thinking it sounds pornstar worthy, if anything else. Yoongi laughs at that, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his lips. “Literally anything that comes out of your mouth is sexy, don't worry about it.” Jimin peeks over his arm, his eyes crinkling up into little crescents. “Hyung, your penis feels nice.” Jimin giggles at Yoongi’s incredulous expression, the elder’s nose wrinkling up in distaste. “It is very large.” Jimin adds, yelping when he feels Yoongi pinch at his ass. “You're a fucking menace," Yoongi chuckles, shaking his head. "Stop trying to kill my boner, Jiminie." Jimin bursts out laughing, the sound airy and gorgeous. Yoongi loves it when Jimin laughs, loves how he sounds when he's genuinely happy.  “I’m going to start moving, baby,” Yoongi presses another kiss to his lips. “Tell me if you want me to stop or if it hurts, okay?” Jimin nods, his eyes rolling to the back of his head the second Yoongi begins to roll his hips. “Oh,” Jimin gasps, his back already arching up off the bed. “Yoongi, fuck, right there.”  Yoongi moves his hips again, grazing Jimin’s prostate again — the younger squeezing his eyes shut. He can feel Jimin tighten around him, the younger practically salivating. God, he's fucking perfect. Yoongi sets a slow, but deep pace, expertly angling his hips. Jimin begins to moan more and more with each thrust, the breathy whimpers going straight to his cock.  “Look at me,” Yoongi growls, a sudden streak of possessiveness hitting him. Jimin obeys, eyes fluttering open. He looks so vulnerable, already so ruined and taken apart under Yoongi's gaze. Yoongi will never get over how beautiful Jimin really is — especially how looks like this, his eyes blown wide, his mouth parted. Jimin's lips are kiss-swollen and red; a little gasp escaping past them when Yoongi begins to move again, this time, moving his hips quicker.  “Please.” Jimin breathes out, his chest heaving. He holds Yoongi’s eyes, before spreading his legs further apart. “Please fuck me, Yoongi.” Yoongi pulls out nearly all the way, before pushing his entire length back into Jimin. He smirks as he watches the meister's hands fumble around, finally grabbing onto Yoongi's wrists. The younger twitches around him, moaning loudly, so prettily — and yet again, Yoongi is secretly thankful that he and Jimin live alone together. Jimin's moans get airier, higher in pitch and more desperate— and Yoongi's honestly a complete wreck for him.  “So good, so pretty…” Yoongi is just babbling at this point, each hard thrust forcing out cute little ‘ah’s’ from his meister. The sound of skin slapping echoes in the room, Jimin's whimpers and whines music to his ears.  It's driving Yoongi fucking crazy. Yoongi continues to angle his thrusts at a brutal pace, making the younger cry out and moan. "Good boy, such a good boy..." Jimin seems to love it when Yoongi just talks, the elder making sure to just say whatever comes to mind. “You're so fucking tight, Jimin, like you're made to take my cock.” Yoongi thrusts in deeper for emphasis, Jimin cursing loudly. Yoongi pulls back up to look at him, noticing Jimin's tiny hand to be clamped directly over his mouth, his desperate moans muffled behind his palm.  He's shaking, his eyes shut tight as Yoongi fucks into him, the elder alternating from hard and rough pounding to slow and deep. Yoongi finds himself addicted to the noises Jimin makes, the way he begs for him. Yoongi gently runs a finger around Jimin’s puffy rim, to where they are both connected — smirking when the younger spasms from oversensitivity, but stops everything when he notices the tears forming at the corners of Jimin's eyes. Yoongi stills all movement, staring down at the smaller boy, searching his face for any traces of pain or discomfort. Yoongi reaches forward to pry Jimin’s hand away from his face, gently rubbing a thumb under his eyes, catching the hot, stray tears. “Are you okay?” Yoongi asks softly, the younger’s eyes fluttering open to stare at him. Jimin immediately nods, a bit too enthusiastically even. "You gotta talk to me, baby, let me know if it's too much for you." “No, no, hyung... I love it so much,” Jimin breathes out, his body shuddering. “Love your cock, it’s so big, feels so good...” Yoongi’s hands gently run over his chest, Jimin's eyes fluttering shut once more. “Yoongi, please, don't stop… ” Yoongi brings himself closer to Jimin, his lips teasing the shell of his ear. Jimin spreads his legs further to accommodate the new position, his plush thighs caging around Yoongi’s waist. "That's it, tell hyung how much you want it." Yoongi whispers, gyrating his hips and thrusting deep inside, "Scream for me, Jimin."  "God, yes, Yoongi!" Jimin cries out, blunt nails digging into his skin. It burns, but Yoongi fucking loves it. “Good boy, let me hear you,” Yoongi mutters, leaning forward. His forehead is mere inches from Jimin’s in this position, the both of their chests touching. Jimin is writhing around, desperately trying to seek friction against his cock against Yoongi's body. He must be close, Yoongi notices.   “Tell me what you want.” Yoongi murmurs lowly, his eyes staring down at his lover, “I’ll give you anything you ask for, baby."

Jimin squirms under his gaze, the younger so visibly wrecked — but he knows how to take Yoongi apart.  “Fuck me until I come, make me yours,” Jimin pleads, looking at Yoongi from his lashes. “Please, Yoongi, I need it, I want—” Jimin moans loudly the second Yoongi rolls his hips, once again setting a deeper, slower rhythm. “Don't stop, please, right there—” Jimin throws his head back with a broken cry at a particularly deep thrust. “Yoon-gi!”  Yoongi chuckles breathlessly. “You always sound so fucking sexy, Jiminie…” Yoongi leans forward, nibbling gently on the younger’s ear. "You make the cutest little noises, you feel so good..." Jimin spreads his legs further with a loud moan, linking his ankles behind Yoongi’s back and pulling him closer. Yoongi is so fucking gone. Jimin’s little whimpers and pleas are too much for him, the elder completely mesmerized by his lover, the smaller boy truly lost in his own pleasure. Yoongi realizes that Jimin’s still shaking from oversensitivity, little fingers gripping onto Yoongi for dear life, nails scratching against his back.  “Wanna come hyung,” Jimin’s voice is pitchy and ruined, his cheeks stained a bright, noticeable pink. “So close, please…” Yoongi grins, leaning forward to suck a mark in the crevice of Jimin’s neck, knowing damned well it'd be noticeable to anyone who came close to his meister. The thought alone excites Yoongi even further. “Come for me, baby boy, I know you can.” Yoongi begins to thrust faster, deeper — lowly moaning when he feels Jimin’s hole clench around him. He reaches down, grabbing Jimin’s cock in his large hand, pumping him leisurely. “Come for me, Jimin.” There's no doubt about it, Jimin comes beautifully.  His eyes roll to the back of his head, a high-pitched wail escaping his lips as he comes completely untouched. His toes curl, thigh muscles flexing and straining, hole spasming around him. Jimin’s cock twitches, spurts of cum dribbling onto his toned stomach, some drops falling on Yoongi’s chest. Jimin’s fucking gorgeous, literally beauty impersonated in a human being; Yoongi unable to tear his eyes away from him. Jimin’s orgasm sends them both into sensory overload. Yoongi’s never experienced such a fucking sensation in his entire life, to be able to feel what Jimin does through their soul connection. His entire body buzzes with energy as he fucks Jimin through his orgasm, now desperate to find his own release. It doesn't take long for Yoongi to come after him, the elder's thrusts turning shallow and sloppy; losing all finesse. Yoongi takes in Jimin’s appearance, eyes looking over Jimin’s wrecked state. He looks blissful, completely fucking gone– and it was all because of Yoongi. He did this to Jimin, he made love to him. Jimin stares up at Yoongi, his eyes blown wide, the younger still visibly shaking from his pleasure.  “Yoongi…” Jimin moans softly, his hole clenching tight around him. He looks debauched, like he wants Yoongi to use him, to come inside of him. “Please, hyung, want your cum..."
That does it.
Yoongi’s sucks in a sharp breath, the elder leaning forward to snap his hips quicker, chasing after his own release. Within a few seconds, Yoongi finally releases inside the younger with a breathy gasp, the elder tucking his head in the crook of Jimin’s neck and muffling his low, raspy moan. Jimin trembles again as Yoongi’s cock throbs inside of him, soft whimpers and little begs escaping his lips as Yoongi finally comes inside of him. Yoongi literally blacks out. He can feel his entire body jolt with electricity, Yoongi completely lost in the feeling of his own orgasm. It takes him by full surprise, the elder letting out a choked moan as indescribable sensations of pleasure and ecstasy explode throughout his entire body. It's unmatched — the most intimate he has ever felt with another person. He feels literally boneless, like he's not even alive. Yoongi can feel Jimin tighten around him, hear the way his boyfriend moans so prettily as Yoongi lazily fucks his cum into him.  Yoongi feels like he's in heaven.  He doesn't know how long he stays like this, deep inside Jimin. He feels incredible, no other feeling even coming close to describe the sensations he feels coursing through his body. When Yoongi lifts his head, Jimin is literally glowing from his orgasm. He looks completely blissed out, eyes shut tight, glossy lips parted; the perfect picture of pure satisfaction. Yoongi slowly begins to pull out, Jimin’s legs falling back down on the bed. Yoongi pulls up his pants and boxers up and throws on his shirt, the elder quickly making his way over to their bathroom and grabbing a wet towel. He rushes back to Jimin’s side, sitting beside him on their bed. He gently wipes around Jimin’s body, being extra careful around his rim and making sure to clean off anything he can. When he's through, he gently pulls up Jimin’s briefs, tucking his sensitive cock inside, and giving his ass a little squeeze. Much to Yoongi’s amusement, Jimin hasn't moved a fucking inch since they fucked, Yoongi's certain he must have fallen asleep at this point. His chest rises and falls rhythmically, the younger’s face still one of complete relaxation. Yoongi walks over to his dresser, rummaging around. He pulls out a pair of loose shorts and a large shirt, gently shaking Jimin’s shoulders. Jimin cracks open an eye to look at him, before closing it again. Yoongi is absolutely baffled. “Jiminie, did I fuck you that good?” Yoongi jokes lightheartedly, chuckling when Jimin begins to nod, the boy a bit delirious. “C’mon, get some clothes on.” Jimin shakes his head, little pout forming over his puffy lips. “Dun’ wanna move.” He complains cutely, curling into a little ball. "I'm sleepy." Yoongi snorts, poking his finger in Jimin's chubby cheek. He's still blushing adorably, Yoongi notes. “You're such a pillow princess,” Yoongi mutters under his breath, Jimin gasping loudly in offense. He's wide awake now, and Yoongi really can't help but fucking laugh at how taken aback he is. “Am not!” Jimin smacks at his arm, and for a second, Yoongi thinks he's truly offended by his comment. “I'm just tired, you literally just took my virginity!” Jimin whines childishly, pouting. “I think you're just a spoiled baby,” Yoongi teases him, tossing him a pair of his own clothes. Jimin’s furiously blushing again, huffing as he slips Yoongi’s oversized t-shirt over his head, neglecting to put on the shorts. Yoongi doesn’t even realize he’s staring, the elder mesmerized with the beautiful sight that is Park Jimin. “How do I look, hyung?” Jimin asks him sweetly, batting his eyelashes. He turns onto his side, the swell of his ass noticeable even through the oversized shirt’s material — and Yoongi seriously thinks he looks good.  “Cute,” Yoongi can feel himself blushing like an idiot now. He averts his gaze, licking over his lips. “Really sexy.” It's true — Jimin is wearing a fucking simple black shirt and he looks fucking amazing, Yoongi convinced that the younger was able to look good in literally anything.  Jimin smiles at him, clearly pleased with Yoongi's answer. He extends his arms out, Yoongi automatically knowing what he wants.  Yoongi rolls back on the bed, enveloping Jimin in his arms. The younger giggles as Yoongi turns him onto his side, crashing the both of their lips together. He feels Jimin smile into the kiss, the younger pulling him closer, tugging him forward. "I love you," Yoongi whispers, both of their foreheads touching. "I love you so much, Jimin." Yoongi doesn't want to ever let him go. So, he doesn't.  "I love you too, hyung."

Your arms holding me, saying, "I will not leave you alone".
☀☀☀     With any relationship, comes its ups and downs. There were always the good moments, the tender and sweet memories that Jimin cherishes with his entire soul. And on the other hand, there were the not-so-good moments, including the little disagreements and full-blown arguments the two found themselves in. And sometimes, their worst arguments could be enough to affect them both, mentally and physically. “You have to be fucking safe, Jimin!” Yoongi hisses, opening their front door angrily. He pushes it open before he walks in ahead, jaw clenched. "God, why do you always do this!?" This time around... Yoongi was definitely pissed. The front door slams shut behind them, and Jimin can't hold back anymore. He follows Yoongi, the elder taking a seat at their kitchen table, hands running through his white hair. He avoids looking at Jimin, instead, he looks anywhere but at him. “Me?!” Jimin narrows his eyes at Yoongi, shaking his head. “You're the one who nearly got killed, because you tried to be a fucking hero!” Yoongi whirls around to look at him, the elder literally shaking with anger. “It's my fucking duty to protect you, Jimin!” Yoongi is shouting now, and shit– Yoongi never raises his voice, Jimin knows how much he hates to yell. “I fucking live to protect you, and you're seriously mad that I tried to keep you safe?” Yoongi scoffs, shaking his head in utter disbelief. A tense silence passes through the room. “Well, maybe I don't need you to protect me, Yoongi.” Jimin murmurs angrily. He can't look at Yoongi, Jimin really doesn’t want to know how furious he looks. Without another word, Yoongi abruptly stands up from his seat, the chair scraping against the floor. “I don't need to protect you, I know that you're capable of many things,” Yoongi starts, his tone eerily icy. “But I still want to. Even if that means risking my life for you.” Jimin makes the mistake of looking up at him, meeting his eyes. His heart aches to see how Yoongi looks — the elder clearly tired, frustrated, hurt. He stands in the hallway, leaning against the wall, his white hair a mess, dark circles noticeable under his eyes. He looks completely drained — like he doesn't want to argue, doesn’t even want to continue to have this conversation with Jimin. Jimin doesn't know what to say. “And I'll continue to do so, not only as a weapon, but as your soulmate and lover.” Yoongi stuffs his hands in his pockets, his expression unreadable, his entire body stiff. “Have a good night, Jimin.” Jimin watches him leave and waits to hear the bedroom door close behind him, before he gets up, immediately sitting down on their couch. He wraps his favorite blanket around him before he curls up into a little ball, replaying what just happened in his head on loop. Jimin had gone to bed that night crying. Being together and being partners was far from easy. Jimin isn't even sure how Taehyung and Jungkook manage to pull it off so well, especially with how terrifying it is be entirely responsible for your loved one’s life, to share mutual trust in a bond that fluctuates with the relationship. One fuck up, and Jimin can put not only his life in jeopardy, but potentially screw up Yoongi’s as well. And really, Jimin's so scared to lose Yoongi. He doesn't want to make a mistake and lose him forever. Two days following their heated argument, Yoongi and Jimin are noticeably more tense around each other. They hadn’t come to a solution to their problem — the both of them having such different viewpoints on what should be done. Yoongi wanted to protect Jimin with his life. Jimin wanted Yoongi to live. The both of them hadn’t even met in the middle, they had refused to bring up the topic again. Jimin can already sense the disrupt in their bond, the stupid argument having caused a noticeable divide between the two of them.  Jimin hates it. He hates fighting with Yoongi more than anything in the world.  But regardless of how they are doing, they're still assigned missions to do. Life goes on, despite their rocky relationship at the moment. They were Meister and Weapon, before anything else. It was their duty to save others, to put the lives of the innocent as their first priority. They couldn't get side-tracked and distracted by their own problems, they shouldn't let things like this come between them. Jimin knows this. They should be keeping their personal life out of this— and honestly, they should have settled this a long time ago. The new mission Jimin had been assigned was an extremely high-level one, Taehyung and Seokjin accompanying him. The goal of the mission was for the three to simply find the cause for so many recent disappearances, all of them having taken place in the exact same place — inside an abandoned cathedral.  Yoongi didn't say much to him, the man silent as Jimin tells him about the mission, what they have to do. But unlike other times, he doesn't offer his input, something even the others realize. They don't comment on it. And when they arrive at the scene, Jimin and Yoongi are ordered to investigate the cathedral. Jimin's a bit worried, but Yoongi doesn't say anything. They walk side by side inside the area, glancing around the darkened cathedral halls. The stained glass is pretty, eye-catching; the moonlight peeking through the glittering, translucent shards. The area is completely empty, but Jimin can sense another presence lurking around in the shadows, watching over them, walking beside them. It's unsettling. Yoongi must feel it too, the elder keeping close to Jimin as they look around the area, eyes scanning every inch of the abandoned cathedral. He knows that somebody is watching them. Jimin is genuinely scared, but he knows Taehyung and Seokjin would be patrolling outside, in case anything were to go wrong. Jimin glances over at Yoongi, his boyfriend's face emotionless, totally blank. He walks beside Jimin but refuses to meet his gaze, his hands shoved into his pockets, his white hair falling into his eyes.  Jimin sighs dejectedly. It's obvious that Yoongi is still upset over their argument, but Jimin knows that they couldn't let their personal life come between them on such an important mission.  "Yoonie," Jimin begins, unsure of how to break the tension between them. "I know we aren't really on good terms right now, but we won't be able to fight if we continue to stay like this." "Yeah, no shit, Jimin." Yoongi mutters under his breath. Jimin gives him a stern look, rolling his eyes at his sharp tone.  He knew that Yoongi wasn't in the mood, but Jimin was honestly tired of dealing with it.  "Can you just cut the shit already?" Jimin blurts out angrily, glaring at his boyfriend. "If you don't want to be here then you can seriously just leave." Yoongi opens his mouth to say something, but he's cut off when a weird noise, amused laughter, comes from directly behind them. They immediately tense up at the sound, the laughter paralyzing them in place. That only confirms Jimin's earlier suspicions — there's definitely someone hiding in the shadows, someone who's been watching them this entire time. Jimin immediately whirls around towards the sound of echoing footsteps, Yoongi quick to pull Jimin behind him protectively. Jimin catches a glimpse of somebody standing by the front of the cathedral, blocking the exit. He continues to approach them until he's completely within Jimin’s direct line of sight. From first glance, one wouldn’t suspect the man of being anything rather than just a regular civilian, but Jimin can sense something much darker within the man, something plain wrong, unsettling. Jimin can't explain it, but feels... so fucking scared.  The man’s aura is far from normal, literally terrifying; and Jimin isn't sure why. He's not a corrupted soul, but there's something wrong with him — something that makes him not human.  Jimin doesn’t know what it is. It's unsettling to sense such an aura from a young man — someone who could genuinely pass for a regular student at their academy, really. His tanned skin glows under the bright moonlight filtering through the cathedral glass. He shifts from foot to foot, his body lanky and toned— his fiery red hair curled and messy. Jimin is off-put by the man’s blindingly perfect smile, one that could truly rival even Taehyung’s signature boxy grin. Jimin takes a little step back. Despite the stranger's laidback and casual appearance, he sets off a million red flags — a million warnings to keep away, to fucking run while they still could. Before Jimin can say anything, Yoongi's hands clench into fists by his side.  Jimin can sense something change in his soulbond with Yoongi, and for a second — Jimin is terrified. Yoongi takes a cautious step forward, Jimin watching him in pure disbelief. “Hoseok?” Yoongi breathes out, the elder staring directly at the handsome man. The stranger, Hoseok, beams at the both of them, coming a bit closer until he's standing only a few feet away from the duo. Jimin can't believe it. This person was Yoongi’s former meister. Jimin recognizes the name instantly. He's heard countless stories about this person, the one who had gone missing a year ago on a high-ranking mission. Yoongi is still haunted by nightmares about that day, traumatized by the memories of what had happened to him. Jimin has helped him however he possibly could, comforted him through all of the nightmares and even promised him that things would be better. And now, Hoseok was alive. “It's you! Long time no see, am I right?” The redhead, Hoseok, greets him cheerfully, glancing over at Jimin. “So, you got another meister, Yoon?” He asks, no real bite to his question. If anything, the man sounds genuinely interested and curious. “He did,” Jimin speaks up before Yoongi can respond to him, the younger’s jaw clenched. He can't explain why he feels so fucking hostile towards Yoongi’s former partner — the only person besides himself who had been able to wield Yoongi. Maybe it's because right now, Jimin can feel Yoongi breaking. “Cute,” Hoseok crosses his arms over his chest, smiling at the two of them cheerfully. “You did well, Yoon, he’s really cute.” Hoseok looks him over again, nodding. “Yep, he's definitely your type.” Jimin narrows his eyes at him.
What the hell was he acting so friendly for, especially when his aura was like that?!
Unlike Hoseok's cheerful, sunny demeanor — Yoongi looks shaken up, still staring at the man in disbelief and horror. His entire body is trembling, and Jimin is worried that any second now, Yoongi will go into shock.  Jimin turns to look at Yoongi nervously. He knows Yoongi can't fight like this — god, he doesn't know what to do. They've never been in this situation before.  "Yoonie, you need to calm down." Jimin whispers to him, reassuringly reaching for Yoongi's shaking hand and intertwining their fingers together. "Please, baby." Hoseok stands at the front, watching the two of them curiously. He doesn’t look offended or even angry — and that’s what throws Jimin off the most. "He also likes it when you hug or get all touchy with him," Hoseok calls out, his tone playful, cocky. "Although Yoongi didn't really get scared on any missions with me, so I guess this is a first for the both of us." Jimin glares at the man and ignores him, instead trying to focus on settling down Yoongi how he knows best. Jimin squeezes Yoongi's hand, rubbing his thumb over his skin, whispering to him under his breath.
I love you so much.

You'll be okay.

I love you more than anything.
Within a few seconds, he can feel their wavelengths realligning, Yoongi slowly coming back to him.  Yoongi's breathing begins to even out, and in no time he's back— the elder taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Jimin continues comfort him, whispering quiet reassurances to him, promising him that they would be okay. Yoongi believes him. He's no longer paralyzed in fear, but Jimin knows that he's still confused and shaken up. Jimin takes his time with him, Hoseok be damned — Yoongi's wellbeing came before anything or anyone else. But when Jimin turns his attention back to Hoseok, he's genuinely surprised to see the man still looking over at them, patiently waiting. Jimin watches in horror as Hoseok brandishes a sharp knife from his pocket, twirling it around in his hand casually. He looks unnaturally happy, grinning at the both of them. "Yeah, you guys are really cute," Hoseok notes aloud, looking over at them, touching over his heart. "You're really cute for a couple, I like it." He begins to approach them, coming even closer — each step echoing in the cathedral. Yoongi instinctively moves in front of Jimin again, still keeping the meister protected behind him. Jimin knows that by this point, Yoongi can sense how wrong everything was. “I thought…” Jimin glances up at Yoongi, the elder still staring blankly at Hoseok. He can barely talk and he's gone even paler than before, all color drained from his face. “I thought you… you died, why are you…” Hoseok smiles sadly at his former weapon. “See, I’m going to let you both in on a little secret," Hoseok sighs dejectedly, stopping in place, “Technically I did die,” he says with a careless shrug, “but then I got this transfusion thing.” Jimin gasps as Hoseok brings the sharpened knife tip directly to his arm, digging it deep inside of his tanned skin. Hoseok doesn't even flinch– almost as if he hadn't just stabbed himself. Jimin watches in horror as black blood pours from the wound — the blood quite literally reminding Jimin of fucking tar. His mind is buzzing, his soul practically screaming at him to stay away from the man. Jimin takes a step back, pulling Yoongi with him. “My blood is black, you see?” Hoseok murmurs, smiling at the duo. The black blood slowly drips down his arm and onto the ground, forming a small puddle around him. “Nothing can hurt me, and now, I can't die anymore.” Jimin is horrified.

He's heard stories of black blood, knowing how dangerous it truly was and how it could literally be used as a weapon. Black blood was regular blood that had been tainted and modified with evil magic by a witch, purposely altering the properties to be destructive and weaponized. Simply put, having black blood was the equivalent of having weapon trapped inside of your body.  Jimin has never come across an individual with it. “That's not normal.” Yoongi mumbles, his entire body trembling. He's extremely troubled, Jimin can sense the disrupt in their bond growing further apart once more — Yoongi was retreating away, hiding back into himself. This wasn't good. No, this was far from fucking good. Jimin reaches a hand out, loosely gripping onto Yoongi’s wrist, hoping to keep the elder somewhat grounded to reality. Yoongi continues to stares at the black blood dripping on the floor, shaking his head angrily. “Hoseok, what the fuck, only witches have black blood!” Yoongi spits out, clenching his jaw. “What the fuck did you do… what happened to you!?” Hoseok frowns. “I know it looks bad and all,” Hoseok rests his arms behind his head. “And like, I think I’m actually supposed to kill you guys, but I honestly don't feel like it right now.” He says all too casually, Jimin’s jaw dropping at his absurd honesty. Yoongi looks just as disturbed, the elder no longer scared — but genuinely upset. “I was expecting some douchebag students, not my old weapon and his new… meister?" Hoseok looks behind Yoongi. "Who also happens to fit the small and cute, but also possessive boyfriend trope?” He waves off to Jimin, the younger narrowing his eyes at the redhead.  Yoongi looks livid — like he's mere seconds from losing what remains of his self-control. Jimin knows he’s already putting together the pieces to the puzzle — Hoseok’s black blood, his own confession that he was supposed to kill whoever had come here. Jimin couldn't believe it.  Did Hoseok really betray Yoongi for evil? “So you mean to tell me that you work for fucking witches now, Hoseok?” Yoongi hisses, his hands clenching into fists by his side. “Are you fucking serious?” Hoseok blinks at him. He looks clueless, and that's what angers Yoongi even more. “No, I kinda just hide out,” Hoseok frowns, looking at the open wound on his arm. “I have black blood now, so the DWMA isn’t going to let me come back because I'm practically a walking threat to society, so, I just chill here and—” “You never wanted to fucking come back to tell me you were alive?!” Yoongi roars, his sudden tone startling Jimin. He shrinks back, releasing Yoongi's wrist and taking another step away. Yoongi grits his teeth, swiping at his eyes with his sleeve. He's crying, it hurts Jimin to see him like this.

“I couldn't fucking sleep properly, I tried so fucking hard to find you again— do you know the guilt I felt for so long?!" Yoongi shouts furiously, "This whole time, I've been thinking that I fucking killed you, that I was the reason you were fucking gone for good?!” Yoongi is pissed.  “And your excuse is because of your black fucking blood?” Yoongi scoffs, his aura literally reminding Jimin of open flames, angry and growing in terrifying intensity. “You know damned well that I could have helped you, that Lord Death could have fucking helped you if you’d just let us!” Hoseok stays silent, completely at a loss for words.  It’s obvious he’s processing Yoongi’s words — the elder had a valid point, after all. Jimin can feel Yoongi’s heart, no, his soul aching — the pain that had been etched within his core immediately resurfaced. Yoongi is hurting. Breaking. Jimin startles as the cathedral bells begin clatter loudly overhead, the marbled ground shaking underneath them. Yoongi turns around, automatically reaching out and holding Jimin close to him. There's no hesitation whatsoever, Yoongi's first priority is to always protect Jimin.  Jimin holds onto Yoongi, grabbing onto the front of his shirt until the shaking ceases.  When they turn back to look at Hoseok, Yoongi’s eyes widen at the sight in front of him. Hoseok stands at the front, the black blood around him hardening into spikes. He continues staring directly at them, before he begins to laugh maniacally. It's unsettling, absolutely chilling, and Jimin is honestly horrified. Jimin can feel the air change around them, something becoming much darker, far more terrifying. He can sense that something is definitely wrong now.
Run, run, run.
“You want me to kill them?” Hoseok is literally talking to no one, having an actual conversation with thin air. “But I know him, we have history! I don't want to kill him.” Jimin meets Hoseok’s eyes, an eerily wide smile growing on the man's face. A glint of red glows in Hoseok's eyes.  “You're right, if I kill the meister…” He sneers, Jimin visibly stiffening at his words. Yoongi grits his teeth, his hand tightening around Jimin’s. “Careful,” Yoongi’s voice is quiet, barely audible. “He's under a spell right now, I'm positive that a witch is controlling him.” Yoongi warns him, squeezing his hand. Jimin pales at his words, his stomach twisting. “A witch?” Jimin bites down on his lower lip, drawing blood. “Yoonie, I don't think we can fight a witch… we can't!” Not even top-level meisters and weapons could fight witches— even Death Scythes struggled in battles against them.  They didn't stand a fucking chance.  Yoongi shakes his head. Hoseok is still talking to no one, not paying them any attention; staring up at the cathedral ceiling as he converses with thin air. “Listen to me, Jiminie, I have a plan.” Yoongi keeps his voice quiet, keeping Jimin close to him. “Don't be scared, okay?” Jimin nods slowly, Yoongi offering him a little smile. “Baby, I need you to run, to get out of here and to let the others know what's happening.” Yoongi whispers, squeezing his hand. “I promise that I’ll be fine.” Jimin processes his words and stares at his lover in horror, frantically shaking his head.
Had Yoongi lost his mind?!
“I'm not leaving you with him!” Jimin stresses, little hands balling into fists by his side. Hoseok stops talking a bit, turning to look at them curiously, before he continues. “I'm… I can’t, hyung!” Jimin's entire body shakes, he can't do this. He can't leave Yoongi here to die. Yoongi takes a deep breath, shaking his head and cupping Jimin’s face in his hands. “Please, baby, it's the only way.” Yoongi murmurs, looking at him desperately. “I need you to run out there and find the others. Tell them you found the school’s missing student, Jung Hoseok, and that he's with me and is being controlled by a witch right now.” Yoongi presses his lips to Jimin’s forehead. “I promise I’ll be okay, but I just need you to do this for me, alright?” Jimin bites back his tears. Jimin knows that being partners with your lover came with sacrifices, and at times, unfairness. He’s been aware of this from the start. “Okay,” Jimin nods, taking a deep breath. “Okay, I will.” He had to do this for Yoongi. Yoongi smiles. It's Yoongi's most beautiful and genuine smile, the one with his gums showing and his eyes crinkling up adorably. It’s Jimin’s favorite look on him. “Run and don't look back,” Yoongi whispers reassuringly, squeezing his hand firmly. “I won't let him do anything to you. I’ll protect you.” Yoongi murmurs, pecking his lips quickly. Jimin knows. He knows that Yoongi will protect him, no matter what. He trusts Yoongi with his life. "Run."   And without another word, Jimin takes off running as fast as he can towards the exit.  I will stay by your side, as we slip into madness.     ☾☾☾    Honestly speaking, Yoongi had never been so scared in his entire life. Compared to the other demons and monsters he's fought against, witches were a whole type of other evil. They’re terrifying, manipulative, absurdly strong — the very definition of pure evil.  They killed without any remorse, took over the bodies of innocent people and controlled them against their will. All witches are known to be fucking horrendous, despicable people who only sought out destruction and suffering of other people. And really, deep down, Yoongi knew that he couldn't stand a chance against one by himself. But, Yoongi had made a promise to his lover, his soulmate, his meister. Yoongi would protect Jimin no matter what. He watches as Jimin takes off running towards the cathedral doors, catching even Hoseok off guard. Hoseok immediately stops babbling nonsense, instead turning over to look at Jimin in complete surprise. Jimin’s quick on his feet, the younger excelling in agility and speed especially, rather than brute strength and force. Jimin's already so close to the exit, and he knows that once Jimin leaves and brings in reinforcements — they'll stand a chance at bringing Hoseok back to his senses. Jimin is so close to the exit, so close to escaping, but Hoseok acts quickly. To his horror, he watches as Hoseok begins to start after Jimin, and this time, Yoongi moves purely on instinct. Yoongi immediately dives after him, throwing his former meister to the ground. They tumble to the ground, and Yoongi keeps a solid grip on Hoseok, pinning him to the ground, chest heaving.  Hoseok snarls and thrashes about under him, struggling to kick off Yoongi, the elder refusing to let him go.  Hoseok is fucking strong, far stronger than Yoongi remembers. He hits brutally hard, the redhead landing a few heavy punches with a loud and sickening crack, blinding pain coursing through Yoongi's body. Despite the agonizing pain, Yoongi keeps him pinned down to the best of his abilities, both hands eventually securing around Hoseok's wrists, making sure they don't move.  He knows he has to protect Jimin with his life. Yoongi doesn't let go.  Yoongi knows he has to hold Hoseok off until the others made it back and until his former meister was safe and out of the witch’s control.  Yoongi looks down, locking eyes with Hoseok. To his horror, Hoseok looks like a completely different person when he's like this — his eyes wild and red, an unsettling smile plastered onto his face.
Why was smiling?
"Oh, hyung," Hoseok beams up at him. "I told you that my blood was black, didn't I?" Hoseok giggles, a strange noise coming from directly under him.
Fuck.
Yoongi looks back down again, this time noticing the puddle of black blood from earlier to be fucking bubbling.
He fucked up.
Before he can even react, Hoseok's black blood immediately spikes up from the ground, stabbing through Yoongi's shoulder. It takes Yoongi by surprise, the elder crying out in pain, tears springing to his eyes. The pain is indescribable, horrendous, Yoongi's sure that if this continues, he might go into shock. But he doesn't let go. A loud creak of the doors being forced open catches their attention, the elder looking up and catching sight of his boyfriend at the front of the cathedral, struggling to push them open. To his relief, Jimin thankfully manages to push the doors completely open, before rushing outside.
Jimin was safe.
Hoseok continues to wildly thrash about, feral snarls and terrifying hisses ringing in his ears as he tries to fight Yoongi off of him, the black blood piercing through his shoulder.   His black blood continues to harden into spikes, shooting out and grazing Yoongi's skin. He can feel himself bleeding from the multiple cuts, the open wounds stinging horribly. Yoongi's grip around Hoseok only tightens. “I’ll actually fucking kill you,” Hoseok's voice sounds unnatural, almost fucking distorted — and Yoongi is actually fucking terrified. “I don't care who you are to this boy, I’ll kill you.” He realizes the witch is talking to him through Hoseok's body. "Even better, I'll make you suffer," Hoseok continues, giggling madly. "I'll find your meister and rip off his limbs right in front of your eyes and tear him apart. Wouldn't you like that?" Yoongi wants to throw up. "You have no right to control Hoseok," Yoongi tries to keep his voice from shaking, hiding his true fear. "Rescind all control of him at once, let him go." Hoseok — no, the witch, laughs. "Silly child, you don't know a single thing." Hoseok continues, grinning at him. "I'll make you suffer, torment you with your worst nightmares if I have to. This boy means nothing to me, he's just one of my many vessels."  "Leave him out of this," Yoongi is trembling, hands tightening around Hoseok's wrists. "I won't let you hurt anyone else, do you understand me?"  Yoongi swears that he sees Hoseok's eyes flash bright red, before his voice changes back to normal. “Ah, that's interesting." Yoongi stiffens at the familiar voice. "I wonder what's changed. You wouldn't ever willingly defend me with your life before,” It's Hoseok who taunts him now, but even Yoongi knows this is the witch fucking with him and trying to get into his head. “You just left me to die back then.” An unsettling smile grows over his face. “What happened, Yoongi? You finally realized how badly you fucked up, how you killed me?”  Yoongi refuses to cry. “Is it because you fuck him, your new meister?” Hoseok's voice distorts, his tone mocking, laced with pure evil. “Hey, who knows, maybe if I was your little slut too, you wouldn't have left me to die back then, isn't that ri—” Yoongi slaps him right across the face, shutting him up instantly. Deep down, he knows it's not Hoseok actually speaking to him, he knows it can't be — but it's overwhelming to hear such hurtful words coming from a person he once loved. “Does the truth hurt?” Hoseok continues amusedly, stupidly blinding smile back on his face. Yoongi hates to see his beautiful smile used for fucking evil, to see him like this. “It must hurt, knowing you left me just to go fuck someone el—” “Snap out of it, fuck!” Yoongi slaps him again, Hoseok’s head turning with force of the second blow. He can hear the witch looming overhead, an unsettling chanting growing louder in intensity. “Hoseok, don't let her fucking do this to you!” Yoongi pleads, his voice cracking painfully. For a second, Yoongi thinks he sees the actual Hoseok, his eyes wide in horror. “I’m sorry,” Hoseok whispers, completely catching Yoongi off-guard. Before he can even say anything, Yoongi's grabbed by his hair, yanked off of Hoseok and tossed to the side. Yoongi realizes his mistake too late — he had removed both of his hands off Hoseok, allowing an opportunity for the man to strike. Hoseok's gaze darkens as he looms over Yoongi, pinning him down to the ground.  The elder is forced to look up at him, to meet the eyes of his former meister, now under the control of evil. Hoseok's gone. "You're still so pretty, Yoongi," Hoseok literally hisses, reminding Yoongi of a fucking snake. "But you've always been so, so weak. Always so fragile, so fucking easy to break." Hoseok holds him down, his eyes wide and glassy. He doesn’t even look human, and Yoongi thrashes about, gritting his teeth as he tries to kick Hoseok off of him. “Let me go,” Yoongi hisses, narrowing his eyes at his former meister. He struggles wildly, yanking around, his eyes burning with tears as he realizes his effort was absolutely fucking useless. Hoseok continues to hold him down, grip tightening around him. Yoongi freezes, the witch’s voice echoing through the cathedral. Yoongi can hear it, cutting through the deafening silence:
“Kill him.”
Yoongi’s eyes widen in horror, and he begins to shake his head. “No, no, no, Hobi,” Yoongi looks up at him in pure panic and fear, the nickname slipping from his lips. “Please, I know you’re stronger than this, don’t do th—”  Hoseok’s hands immediately close around his throat, pressing down around him. Yoongi chokes as he struggles to breathe, his hands scrambling up to try and pry the man’s hands off his throat. Hoseok is crying. It's almost bizarre, he looks like a different person, but Yoongi can see the traces of his former meister, the poor man scared, helpless. There are tears in his eyes. Yoongi begins to flail around, struggling to breathe and desperately trying fight Hoseok off, despite the man being stronger than him. His vision blurs, and soon, Yoongi can feel life begin to leave him. Yoongi’s eyes squeeze shut, his hands desperately clawing at Hoseok’s, trying to rip them off. His eyes burn with tears, he can feel himself already slipping in and out of unconsciousness, until the weight finally escapes him all at once. He suddenly feels air rush back into his lungs, the elder gasping to breathe. Yoongi desperately sucks in air, his lungs burning as he coughs horribly, trying to breathe properly. He can feel someone pulling him up and patting his back, the elder slowly opening his eyes and seeing nothing but blurriness. His vision refocuses after a bit, Yoongi relieved to see Jimin holding onto him. He can feel his meister running a hand up and down his back soothingly, his sweet voice encouraging Yoongi to breathe in and out. Yoongi's absolutely exhausted, but he listens to his lover's voice — the soft, airiness of it music to his ears. He swears, Jimin is the only thing that keeps him sane. "Breathe, hyung," Jimin whispers, caressing his face gently. Yoongi listens, the elder sucking in deep breaths in time with him. "Just like that, Yoonie." Yoongi looks at him, studying Jimin's face. He's still so beautiful, so fucking gorgeous — but he can tell Jimin had been crying, his eyes puffy and swollen, his pretty face blotchy and pink. God, Yoongi feels like shit knowing he was the reason why. Yoongi feels like there's a weight on his chest, and he wants to fucking break down. He had been so close to dying, so close to having been killed by his own former meister, and on top of that — he made his own meister worry and cry over him. "He's bleeding a lot," Another voice sounds from directly above him, startling him a bit. "Jimin-hyung, can you help me bandage him? We don't want him to lose any more blood."
Ah, Jungkook.
"Yes," Jimin's voice sounds shaky, Yoongi can imagine how scared he had been. "Please."  Almost on cue, Jungkook immediately kneels down beside him, gauze in his hands. His brow is furrowed as he stares at Yoongi's punctured shoulder — face pinched in concern as he looks at the wound. Jimin keeps his arms around Yoongi, keeping him close to his chest. The elder can't do much, his body far too weak and exhausted. Instead, Yoongi rests his head back against his meister. He feels Jimin's fingers gently run over where Hoseok's black blood had pierced him. "It's not that bad, thankfully." Jungkook mumbles under his breath. "It'll heal normally, doubt that it will leave a scar or anything." Well, that's good news, Yoongi supposes. Jungkook stays beside him, helping Jimin patch up his wound — Yoongi's entire body too numb to even feel a single thing. He keeps his eyes closed through the entire time, satisfied to be held in his meister's arms. After some time, he can feel Jungkook finally pull away. "He's done," He can hear Jungkook whisper. "Take care of him, okay?" Yoongi knows Jimin will. When Yoongi opens his eyes once more, he sees Taehyung leaning over Hoseok curiously. Much to his surprise — the redhead is knocked out completely, and he looks peaceful, almost like he was fast asleep. He looks like a completely different person from the one that had been trying to kill Yoongi.
Was he even okay?
"Hey," Yoongi croaks, his voice hoarse. It immediately catches the attention of the three, each of them turning to look at him in concern. "Is he...?" Taehyung glances over at Yoongi worriedly, offering him a tiny smile. “Jimin found us and told us what happened so we came in here and handled it,” Taehyung explains, hunching over Hoseok, checking his pulse. “He's asleep, don't worry, scythey-boy. We wouldn't kill him." That's comforting to know, at least. Before Yoongi can even ask what happened, the cathedral doors are thrown open once more. Seokjin rushes into the area, Namjoon by his side. He looks distressed, his eyes falling upon Yoongi and Jimin concernedly. "So, bad news. The witch escaped," Seokjin announces somewhat irritably, taking a deep breath. "We lost her, but Joon and I can still to try and find her whereabouts, more specifically, her lair." "We'll able to track her down that way," Namjoon continues calmly. "So, I wouldn't worry about this. We can handle Hoseok as well, see what we can do about him. Jin has already let his father know about the situation." Seokjin nods in agreement, bending down beside the man. He inspects him closely, eyes raking up and down his sleeping form, Namjoon peering over behind him. "I'm sure we can do something about him, his soul isn't corrupted yet." Seokjin murmurs quietly, before his eyes widen.  "Wait, he has black blood?" Seokjin frowns, glancing down at the spots dripping from his former meister's arm. "Shit, that's gross. We'll see if we can work with this, see if he can ever be a meister again."  Seokjin pauses, looking over at Yoongi apologetically. "I really doubt it though. It looks like the black blood has been infused into his body completely." Yoongi bites back his tears, hanging his head low. He can feel Jimin looping his arms around him, whispering about how brave he had been, how much he loved him. But, in reality, Yoongi had been far from that. Yoongi hadn't been enough to protect Hoseok back then — he had failed him, and now this was what happened to him. Once a bright and energetic scythe-meister, one so loved and admired by everyone — simply reduced to nothing but a vessel for evil to use for fucking years. And to top it all off, Hoseok wasn't even human anymore.  Hoseok had lost his humanity, his right to even wield a weapon, and it was all of Yoongi's fault. Hoseok had lost so much, and in the end, Yoongi was the reason why. Yoongi really didn't want to think about it, but at this point, it was so painfully obvious to him. He could see why Jimin didn't want Yoongi to protect him, he could see why Jimin was so reluctant to trust him. Now, it all made sense, because what kind of weapon lets something this horrific happen to their previous meister? How could Jimin ever trust him?     This was all of his fault.
And now in sync, we scream, our fates will come together.
☀☀☀    A week had passed since Hoseok had been found in that abandoned cathedral.  Not much has changed since then, Yoongi declaring he needed additional time to heal both physically and mentally, to think about what happened — Jimin agreeing wholeheartedly with him. The two remain at their spot in the top ten and instead of progressing further, decide to take time to wind down.  Jimin and Yoongi still remain on rather complicated terms, the two of them (mostly Jimin) overwhelmed with studies, especially. He doesn't have enough time to genuinely talk about the argument with Yoongi — and Yoongi doesn't try to bother Jimin, either.  So, they keep their distance, up until the last day of their academy's finals. It's awkward, the tension between them is almost suffocating— Jimin hates it.  He can't do this anymore.  Deep down in his heart, Jimin knows he has to be the one to solve their problem this time around, ultimately deciding that he should take matters up with a second party — another weapon. Perhaps he is just interpreting things wrong, not taking into account Yoongi's feelings, or misreading the entire situation. And so, Jimin decides to call the one and only, the mediator of all mediators — Jeon Jungkook.  The young weapon sits across from him, clearly worried. Although they are in public, Jungkook's still wearing his pajamas, a plain white tee paired with baggy sweatpants. He sips at the banana milk Jimin had bought him (as payment for agreeing to console and advise), the younger taking a deep breath. Jimin sighs, staring across the coffee table from Jungkook. The young weapon looks at him concernedly, noticing Jimin to not even sip at his own coffee — the dazed meister staring at a fixed spot on the table. “What happened, Jimin-hyung?” Jungkook frowns, cocking his head to the side. “Is Yoongi-hyung okay?” Jimin snaps out of his trance, nodding frantically. “Yeah, yeah… he's okay, don't worry!” Jimin smiles warmly at Jungkook, hoping to ease his concerns. "He's with Hobi-hyung in the infirmary right now." Jimin fiddles with his hands awkwardly. "They like to talk a lot, so they're always spending time together." Jungkook raises an eyebrow at that. "Are you... are you okay with that?" Jungkook actually looks worried for him. "Or um, are you... not happy with that?" "I'm perfectly fine," Jimin huffs loudly, waving him off. "I'm not jealous that he's hanging out with Hoseok-hyung, they were very close in the past and it's been forever since they've seen each other. Yoongi thought he was dead for like two years, for crying out loud."
Jungkook holds his hands up in surrender, Jimin's irritated response catching him off-guard. "Jeez, Jimin-hyung." Jungkook sighs, sipping at his milk again. "Someone's snappy." Jimin looks over at the younger boy apologetically. "I'm sorry Jungkookie," Jimin genuinely apologizes, not having meant to take his frustration out on his friend. "It's just... Yoongi and I really haven't been on the best of terms lately." He admits, frowning at his own words.  Jungkook nods in silent understanding. He never has to say much, but Jimin knows that the younger just gets him. God, Jimin loves Jungkook — how reassuring he always is, he swears that Jungkook is the best therapy anyone could have. "So um..." Jungkook looks about the coffeehouse, his eyes settling back on Jimin worriedly. "Did you want to talk to me about anything? Or like, do you have any questions, or—" “How do you and Tae do it?” Jimin blurts out, running a hand through his hair. He's stressed, god, and at this point— Jimin just wants a serious answer, no bullshit. “What um… do you mean?” Jungkook looks absolutely lost, brow furrowed in confusion. "How do we... do it?" “Date, be soulmates and soulpartners at the same time.” Jimin glances up at him, realization finally dawning upon the younger. “You both have everything so figured out. You're never fighting, you both always have perfect synergy. Aren't you scared that you can lose him or that he can die?” A pause follows, before Jungkook nods. He seems to understand what Jimin is talking about, hopefully being able to relate with Jimin's own internalized, worst fears. “I'm terrified that one day I’ll mess up and lose him, that feeling will never go away.” Jungkook smiles sadly at him. “But I know that he trusts me to do the right thing, and I trust him to do the right thing.”
Of course, trust.
Jungkook and Taehyung trust each other in the heat of every battle, which is why they perform so well together; but does that mean that Yoongi and Jimin didn't trust each other enough? Jungkook seems to sense a shift within the meister, the younger turning to look at Jimin in concern. “Are you and Yoongi-hyung arguing about that?” Jungkook guesses. Jimin sighs loudly, settling back in his seat. “Something like that, yeah,” Jimin rolls his eyes irritably. Bits and pieces of the argument are still fresh in his mind. “We're mostly disagreeing about how he’s supposed to be always ready to give up his life for me.” Jungkook nods understandingly. “Well, you are in a relationship.” Jungkook comments, smiling to himself. “Yoongi-hyung must love you a lot if he's always trying to do that.” Jimin stills at his words, his eyes widening. “What do you mean?” Jimin blurts out, Jungkook's doe-eyes widening into saucers. Jungkook stares at him incredulously. “Hyung is always trying to protect you, that's what he's doing, right?” Jungkook looks genuinely confused now. "Or um, is he... is he not doing it enough?" Jimin shakes his head immediately. "No, Jungkook, he's protecting me, but he's doing it too much!" Jimin takes a deep breath, sighing exasperatedly. He can almost see the metaphorical cogs slowly turning in Jungkook's head, the younger boy still completely lost. "But what's wrong with that?" Jungkook asks innocently, Jimin ready to tear out his own hair from his head. At this point, he thinks that all weapons must share the same braincell — all of them more than ready to die whenever the opportunity comes up. “Yoongi got upset because I told him I didn't need his protection,” Jimin admits, Jungkook immediately wincing at his words. “What? Why are you…” Jungkook looks genuinely distressed. “Jimin-hyung, I know you want me to side with you on this, but I really can’t.” Jungkook deadpans, rubbing at his temples. "Like, at all." Jimin is ready to bash his fucking skull on the table, both his temper and patience wearing thin. “I don't need protecting!” Jimin stresses out. “I can handle myself, I don't want him to always be so ready to risk his life for me!” “Yes, I'm sure he understands that,” Jungkook frowns. “But um… as you know, it's a weapon's… priority to protect our meister…” Jimin nods in understanding, he knows this by now! “Which means we are always ready to die for them. We know this by our nature.” Jungkook clears his throat, his leg bouncing up and down nervously. “But um, by you saying that, he might um… think that you're rejecting him, or imply that he's not good enough to protect you, which is basically saying that you don't want him to fulfill his weapon’s duty…” Jungkook grimaces a bit at his own words. “It's kind of a real blow to the self esteem to hear that your own meister doesn't want you to uh… protect them.” Jimin is immediately hit with the realization — the mental picture of the absolute hurt on Yoongi's face when he had said those words to his face. He realizes that Jungkook must be right — that his words must have genuinely hurt Yoongi's feelings, his pride. Jimin is such a fucking idiot. “And you know, he had uh… Hoseok-hyung as his previous meister too, and we all know how that went…” Jungkook looks a bit sad, looking down at the table. “So, logically speaking, he may be upset because he thinks that you don't want him to protect you because of what happened back then." Jungkook takes a deep breath. "But then it's like… he may be perceiving it as you not trusting him enough...” Jimin’s so fucking stupid, so fucking stupid — Yoongi didn't deserve to go through this. “It's not that we see our meisters as weak, we depend on them completely and really admire them…” Jungkook fidgets around nervously. “It's just in our nature, almost like our purpose, you know? We have to provide for our meisters, always be prepared to die for them. It's something ingrained in all of us," Jungkook stares off to the side, "and um… when we are in love, it's kinda just… that exact feeling but a hundred times more, you know? It's just something we have to do because we love that person so much.” Jimin wants to cry, he wants to run home and hold Yoongi — to reassure him that Jimin loved him more than anything or anyone, that Yoongi was all he needed. “Tae is fully aware that I’m prepared to die for him if something ever happens. He didn't really like it at first either,” Jungkook murmurs, looking at Jimin sadly. “but he realized that I’m so willing to risk my life because I love him that much.” Jimin fucked up, god, he fucked up so badly. Jimin stares down at the table, an overwhelming feeling of sadness settling deep within him. His heart aches, he had been so thoughtless, had neglected Yoongi's feelings for him, and as a result, unintentionally made the elder feel like he was the problem in this entire situation. "I think I have to go, Jungkookie," Jimin stands up from his seat, Jungkook mirroring his actions, the younger looking at him in concern. "I really have to go talk to Yoongi-hyung, I have to sort things out."  Jungkook nods, pursing his lips together. Jimin grabs all of his belongings, finishing the last of his warm coffee before pulling his jacket back on. Jungkook follows him out of the coffeehouse, keeping close by. "Thank you again," Jimin says genuinely, smiling up at the younger boy. "Tae is really lucky to have you, Kook."  Jungkook immediately blushes at his words, the younger rubbing the back of his neck bashfully. He's cute, adorable when he's flustered — his affection for Taehyung obvious, unfaltering. Jimin is genuinely happy to see how both of his childhood friends are so perfect together, how they balanced each other out so well.  "Ah, thanks..." Jungkook grins happily. "I'm glad you found Yoongi-hyung, too. Tae and I think he's really good for you." Jungkook was literally a fucking angel. "I really hope that things work out," Jungkook continues shyly, waving him off. "Good luck, Jimin-hyung!" Jungkook calls after him, offering him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry too much about it, he probably knows you didn't mean anything bad." Jimin still can't fight off the overwhelming feeling of guilt that settles in the pit of his stomach, but he returns the smile anyways.    Our fates will not go unheard.  ☾☾☾     These days, Yoongi is glad to see Hoseok quickly recovering in the academy's infirmary, to see him in proper medical care. Yoongi had needed time off as well, the weapon's entire body aching and throbbing with reminder from his previous fight for life or death.  On the other hand, he and Jimin had been not on the best terms lately, both of them not coming to an agreement regarding many things. The petty disagreements make them fight — and Yoongi hates it when they're upset with each other. So, he tries to avoid all confrontation until things cool down, all while Jimin actively seeks confrontation, wanting to settle things now — the two of them clashing apart again with their difference in opinions.  At this point, all Yoongi can do is reflect on himself, as a weapon, as a person. To be honest, Yoongi really doesn't understand what he's doing wrong, how he can prove to Jimin that he's worth his trust — and honestly, he doesn't know why Jimin doesn't want Yoongi to protect him.  He's certain it's because of his troublesome and traumatic past, but even then, doesn't Jimin know how much he loves him? God, Yoongi loves Jimin unconditionally, no matter what.  For nearly a week now, Yoongi has been sleeping alone, the elder genuinely missing the mornings of waking up with Jimin beside him and cradling his lover in his arms. But, Yoongi figures that the two of them keeping their distance away must be for the best, both Yoongi and Jimin forced to spend some time apart to reflect on themselves, rather than argue with each other.
God, he hates arguing with Jimin more than anything in the world.
Yoongi takes a deep breath, unlocking his front door and walking through it. He barely has enough time to flip the light switch on, until he is forced a few steps back.  Yoongi stumbles back as something crashes directly into him, arms wrapping around him in a tight hug. It catches him off guard, but Yoongi instantly recognizes the honey-blond hair, the familiar scent of Jimin's cherry blossom body wash, his sweet, yet subtle perfume on his skin. "Baby?" Yoongi wraps his arms around Jimin, surprised when the younger only tightens his grip. Jimin holds him, his face completely buried in his chest, his shoulders shaking.
Yoongi runs his hands through his hair, gently coaxing the meister to look up at him. Jimin does so, his eyes red-rimmed and brimming with tears, and Yoongi immediately thinks of the fucking worst.
Did someone hurt Jimin?

Why was he fucking crying?
"What happened?" Yoongi asks, trying to keep his voice calm. Countless bad scenarios go through his head, the elder already mentally preparing to beat the shit out of someone for making his Jimin cry. "Please talk to me, baby." He begs, kissing the top of his boyfriend's head.  Jimin looks like he's struggling to speak, the younger boy so overwhelmed — and Yoongi's heart breaks for him. Yoongi cups his face with both hands, tilting it so Jimin meets his eyes. Jimin looks absolutely devastated, and Yoongi fucking hates to see him in so much pain. "Did someone do something to you?" Yoongi asks, relieved when Jimin immediately shakes his head. "Did you fail your first test?" Another shake. "Did you hurt yourself?" Another.  Yoongi frowns, finally sitting down on their loveseat. He settles his hands on Jimin's hips, sitting the smaller boy down in his lap.  "Listen, Jiminie, if this is in any way, shape or form, academic related—  you know what I say, fuck the system." Yoongi sighs, clicking his tongue. "Trust me, babe. You'll do better next time, I believe in you." He sticks up his fist playfully, trying to lighten the mood. "Jiminie, fighting."  Jimin looks at him like he wants to cry — the complete opposite of what Yoongi was going for, really.  "No, none of that, Yoonie." Jimin breathes out, tears welling up in his eyes. "I'm such a fucking idiot." He settles against Yoongi's side, little hands bunching up the elder's shirt. "You're a fu—" Yoongi stops himself mid-sentence, narrowing his eyes at the younger. "Okay, firstly, no you aren't. Don't say things like that about yourself." Jimin sniffles, shaking his head. "I'm so sorry, Yoonie..." Jimin practically breaks down, his head falling over onto Yoongi's shoulder. He looks absolutely defeated, like he's crumbling apart; and Yoongi immediately envelops the smaller boy in his arms. "Baby, why are you apologizing?" Yoongi murmurs, kissing at his cheek, quieting down his cries. "C'mon, Jimin. Talk to me, please." It takes Jimin a bit to recollect himself, the younger taking little, shaky breaths. "I think you're so amazing, hyung," Jimin wipes at his eyes, looking up at him. Yoongi stills at his words, he swears that he stops breathing. "You're an amazing weapon, you're so... so b-brave... I never tell you these things," Jimin takes a shaky breath, maintaining his eye contact with Yoongi. "I'm so honored that you chose to protect me with your life. I'm honored that you would die for me, that I have you to protect me." Yoongi honestly doesn't know what's happening — he's frozen in place, looking at Jimin with wide eyes. He feels a ball form in his throat, the elder hit with a crash of inexplicable emotions. He wants to break down and cry — the elder biting down on his bottom lip to hold himself back. "Yeah?" Yoongi croaks, his voice cracking painfully. He's waited so long to hear those words from Jimin, has been desperate to know that Jimin had truly accepted him. "You mean it?" "Yeah, hyung," Jimin buries his head back in the front of Yoongi's shirt, his tears wetting the loose material. "Thank you for everything, I... I love you so much, I... " Jimin takes another deep breath, pausing. "I'm so happy you're my soulmate, my partner, my boyfriend..." Jimin brings him closer, clinging to him. "So happy that you're mine." At this point, Yoongi can't help but cry, the tears finally spilling, streaming down his face. Yoongi doesn't cry — he hates fucking crying, but right now, he's so overwhelmed by happiness, knowing that Jimin accepts him. "I'd do anything for you," Yoongi whispers, wiping away at his tears on his shoulder. Jimin looks at him gently, hand smoothing through Yoongi's hair, his touch ever-soothing, calming. "Anything, Jimin. I love you that much, you know?" Jimin nods, his bottom lip quivering.  "I know, hyung." Jimin whispers back, his soft voice melodious, pleasant to Yoongi's ears. "I know." Yoongi smiles at that, leaning forward and grazing his lips over Jimin's. He'll never get over how much he loves to kiss him, how right Jimin feels against him — how happy Jimin makes him. Yoongi likes to think that Jimin's truly his soulmate, two people who had found each other through the strangest of circumstances, through something he can't even call a coincidence. Yoongi had been searching for so long for him, for the one who would piece him back together, the one who would show him so much about himself, teach him about others. Yoongi finally found the one. It couldn't be anyone but Jimin.
I could care less where it is you came from, because we see what's waiting ahead.
☾☀☾☀    There's never a normal day in Death City. Each and every moment is chaotic, from the second the sun rises up in the day, to the very moment the moon reclaims the night sky.  The city waits for no one — each and every day filled with new adventure, with a new story to tell. Thankfully not too long after the cathedral incident, the witch that had been controlling Hoseok was found in her lair. It turns out she had been using Hoseok and too many other individuals to do her bidding for her, eventually slipping up and giving away her true whereabouts. The evil woman was promptly taken into incarceration, thus forcing her to give up control over those she had taken hostage. Hoseok was back to normal for the most part, except for his black blood. He wasn't allowed to wield a weapon anymore, mostly because his blood was permanently altered by the witch to be his own weapon. If Hoseok were to be partnered with another, he would end up hurting the other individual instead. So, he was allowed to remain as he was made to be, to be able to use himself as his own weapon while in combat. Hoseok had rather impressive control over what he could and could not do, the redhead still showcasing his unwavering, recognizable skill. On campus, Hoseok had been feared for the most part, many unsure if he should be trusted in the first place — especially after knowing what had happened to him. It was bizarre really, seeing how evil magic had turned a fucking meister into a self-made weapon; reversing his own biology to become the complete opposite of what he was meant to be. Despite the bad news, Hoseok remained rather positive about his situation, always keeping his head up. Things had never changed with him — the man still remaining the same, energetic ball of life that he had always been. Yoongi always loved that about him, how easily he could feel recharged, just by being around him. It didn't take long for everyone else to accept him, the man's easy-going and lively personality able to lift up anyone's spirits, making him rather popular and extremely well-liked amongst the other students and professors at the DWMA. Many people learned to trust Hoseok, others befriended him — the man always having been extremely easy to talk to, fun to hang around with. It was refreshing. It gave them all hope for a better future. “So, hi. I'm Hoseok, and I'm a weapon now, but I used to be Yoongi's old meister.” Hoseok beams at the group in front of him, grinning widely. Hoseok looks over at Yoongi, his eyes soft — so telling of the many emotions the two had once shared together, as partners and former lovers. Yoongi reassuringly smiles at him. Hoseok starts off with Jimin, leaning over to pinch his boyfriend's rosy cheeks. "You're Yoongi's boyfriend and meister, the cute little Jiminie." Hoseok coos, pulling back to point at the duo sitting beside him." And you're Taehyung and Jungkook, Jiminie's very attractive friends." He turns to look at Namjoon. "You're Namjoon, a death weapon, wow." Hoseok whistles, clearly impressed. Lastly, he turns around, pointing a finger at Seokjin. “And you're apparently the only son of Lord Death.” Seokjin puffs his chest out boastfully, finger gunning at the redhead. “Yep, that's me.” Seokjin tilts his head up, clearly prideful. “Feast your eyes on an actual Shinigami, in the flesh and blood.” Hoseok’s jaw drops. “Damn, so is your dad actually hot too? Like behind the fake voice and laugh?” Hoseok blurts out, Jimin laughing at Seokjin’s disgusted expression. “Wait, scratch that, how were you even conceived?” Seokjin scoffs at that, nudging Namjoon's side. "Hey, do I give them the real story or the story I tell to freak people out?" The weapon gives him a goofy side-eye, grinning at him. "Tell them the truth, first." Namjoon chuckles, looking at the group, clearly amused. "We don't need another Yoongi situation." Yoongi is already done, so fucking done. He shrinks further down in his seat, already cringing as he fucking remembers every bit of the fabled story — Seokjin never, ever letting him live it down. “So once upon a time, my dad's soul broke apart." Seokjin begins, waving his arms about dramatically. "No one knows how, but that shit broke, and he like... kept it with him for a bit because he realized that life started to form within it. And, long story short, that was me. I was a fragmented piece of my dad’s soul that just grew to be this handsome.” Seokjin leans back, smirking at the baffled group. “I know, I know, it's fucking amazing. I'm the greatest.” “So cool…” Taehyung gasps loudly. He looks amazed, arms thrown around Jimin — the younger meisters staring at the Shinigami with wide eyes. Jungkook and Hoseok look just as impressed, the two of them staring at Seokjin in shock. "Now tell them the story you told Yoongi-hyung," Namjoon tries to hold back his laughter, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He's wheezing at this point, and really — it's not that funny. Yoongi still feels stupid for having believed him. "Yeah, so get this," Seokjin leans forward, and Yoongi truly wants to disappear. "I meet Yoongi like two years ago, and he asks me all casually like," Seokjin brings his voice down to an exaggerated, deep and raspy voice, "So like... do you have a mom or something?" Jimin erupts into giggles from beside him, throwing himself onto Yoongi's side.  Hoseok is laughing as well, the man having completely fallen over onto his side — and honestly, Yoongi wants to beat the shit out of him, too. "And you know, I decide to fuck with him a bit." Seokjin glances over at Yoongi, grinning at him. "So I go, nah, I don't have a mom— Lord Death just popped me out au naturel."  Everyone in the room explodes into laughter, and even Yoongi can't help but join in and fucking laugh at the bizarreness of the story.  "I basically convinced Yoongi for a full month that my dad could have babies, that he was pregnant with me for nine months." Seokjin wheezes, his face as red as a tomato. "Shit was fucked, and he legitimately believed me until my dad ended up telling him the real story." Seokjin fans at his face, turning to Jimin, the younger literally dying from laughter in Yoongi's lap. "You're dating a fucking idiot, Jimin." Seokjin snorts, shaking his head at Yoongi, his eyes narrowed at the Shinigami. "I still can't believe he actually believed me." "And ever since then, things have been like this," Namjoon chuckles, gesturing between the two. "They want to kill each other." Yoongi huffs, little smile forming on his face. "As you can all see, he started it first." Yoongi laughs, settling back against Jimin's side. Jimin always radiates so much warmth and is always so pleasant and welcoming to his soul, to his heart. Jimin turns over his shoulder to look at him, reaching over and wrapping his smaller hand around his own — reminding Yoongi of their very different destinies becoming intertwined into one soul, one entity. And here with Jimin, Yoongi truly feels like he can shine his very brightest, feel his happiest.  Because here with Jimin, he's finally at home.
I knew it from the first time that we became connected.

I'd be with you until the end.
