Jimin had been homeless for quite some time now. He’d been sleeping on benches and streets for days, perhaps months. But he wasn’t able to remember, he’d long lost the track of time. He'd been quite fortunate in this unfortunate situation: he had found help in the faces of strangers, people that treated him better than his own parents ever did. These strangers would usually let him take a shower at their house or give him some much-needed food and, sometimes, when they were kind enough, they had even let him sleep for a while. But he never stayed for too long, he didn’t want to be a burden to them, even though he really appreciated their kindness, who would really want to live with a useless person like him? He had some friends before if you could call them that, because they all disappeared the moment all of this started.

The blanket was his most prized possession, a gift from his beloved grandmother who had died a year ago. She was the only one who really understood and cared for him when his parents couldn’t, always telling him that she would love and protect him until the day she died. She kept her promise, Jimin was safe for as long as she was alive but people can't stay alive forever and it had been only months after her death when his parents threw him out. He missed her a lot but there weren't a lot of things that he could do right now, except for trying to survive.

To get his mind off his terrible thoughts, he had picked up the habit of watching people, the passersby that created little stories which evolved around their seemingly interesting life. It was what he’d been doing for the past hour, sitting on a bench near the playground and watching as kids played and swung their boredness away - innocent and oblivious to the darkness of the world. It was quite a pleasant day, not too hot yet not too cold, a nice spring day that gave him the opportunity to relax. Now that jimin was homeless he wasn't able to appreciate his life anymore but it was in moments like these that he was content enough just enjoying how the warmth of the sun felt on his face. He watched with a wry smile as a kid fell off the slide and started crying as his mum ran over to reassure him that everything would be fine and that it was only just a small scratch. It didn't take much for the child to stop crying as if his mother performed a magic spell and had taken his pain away with a delicate kiss on his scratched little knee. He was so focused on the scene in front of him that he didn’t notice when a young man, only a few years older than him, came and sat next to him pushing a stroller and placing it between them. The only thing that announced the man's presence was when his phone suddenly started ringing, startling Jimin. The stranger cursed under his breath, something that wouldn't be easy to hear if they weren't sitting next to each other, and he stood up to get his phone from his front pocket and to answer it. Jimin's attention shifted to the stroller as the baby inside it was starting to babble, seemingly making too much noise, distracting her father from an important business call. The stranger looked at her with an apologetic look as he started rummaging through a huge bag, looking for something to entertain her while he was busy. A  small ‘oh’ sound left his lips when he found what he was looking for - which turned out to be a box of chocolate cookies. The baby squealed when she saw the box of cookies and the stranger gave her one in each hand with a smile on his face. She immediately started nibbling happily on one of the cookies, now looking at Jimin and waving her other hand with the second cookie at him which made him smile brightly at her.

Jimin hadn’t eaten anything for nearly a day, so when he heard his stomach growl he wasn’t surprised. He really needed to find something to eat. As he was getting ready to get up he saw the baby reaching out her hand with the second cookie over the handle of the stroller, offering it to him like she was aware of his thoughts, an action that made Jimin cover his face with one of his hands to muffle his giggles trying not to disturb the girl’s father from the seemingly important business call. She gave him a captivating smile in response, so wide that had her gums were on full display, mouth still stuffed with cookie dough and little baby teeth that look like they just started to come out. It was needless to say that Jimin's heart was sold.

“For me?” Jimin whispered to her, placing a hand on his heart in a dramatic manner. Even though Jimin was pretending he wasn’t affected by this small gesture, it actually meant a lot to him, the babies kindness had made him truly happy. Growing impatient, she gestured with her hand eagerly ushering him to take the cookie from her, which he gladly accepted with a small thank you -  trying to be quiet while her father was still on his phone, just a step away from the bench with a hand still holding the stroller. Instead of putting his hunger at ease, the cookie instead just made it worse. He only took one bite and he started to feel hunger clawing its way through his stomach, feeling as empty as it was. The cookie was pretty tasty and Jimin figured that must be the problem - it was one of those cookies that are so smooth that they melt in your mouth, which makes sense because the baby doesn’t yet have enough teeth to chew.

“And you waited to tell me all that now?” The stranger said in a much louder voice than he did earlier. He quickly turned to check if his tone affected his daughters' munching, smiling at her when he saw that she was okay. He chuckled when he saw Jimin's face, who probably looked like a deer caught in headlights. Visibly more relaxed, the stranger turned to continue his call with a much calmer voice completely ignoring Jimin's startled expression. Jimin couldn’t believe that, only now, had he realized what the stranger was wearing. Wearing a black, expensive suit and black pants that fit perfectly to his body, the man fixes his tie nervously. The tie itself is dark blue, thin and long, and attached with a silver clip with what appears to be engraved with initials, finishing off what seems to be an entirely custom made outfit. “Y.M”, Jimin thought he makes out, the letters flashing under the sunlight. He was also wearing Oxfords that Jimin had only ever seen his father wear, a very expensive watch, and rings that look like they're made of real gold. Jimin looked down at the raggedy shirt that he’d been wearing for days now, then to his torn pair of shoes, his worn blue sock visible through the hole on his left foot. His gaze travelled to the ripped jeans that were already like that because it was fashionable, dirty and discoloured, which is not convenient at all now. He suddenly started to feel as dirty and as disgusting as he looked. He felt the bench shake a little as the stranger sat next to him again, letting out a long sigh, apparently exhausted from the business call. But Jimin didn't pay much thought to the stranger, still trying not to bring attention to himself.

“She seems to like you!” The beautiful man had suddenly said, startling Jimin who wasn’t expecting the stranger to talk to him. He then chuckled at Jimin's funny reaction, making Jimin’s heart flutter a bit as a blush started to dust his cheeks, completely embarrassed over his exaggerated attitude. Then he noticed the man's diamond shaped eyes study his face in curiosity, a hint of worry on the man’s brow. Jimin turned his attention back at his dirty hands still holding half of the bitten cookie, not really feeling like he could hold it or even eat it anymore.

“When was the last time you ate something?” the stranger asked, worry evident in his voice, and Jimin felt his stomach twist again in something between guilt and hunger. Even though the man's intentions were good, he still felt like a burden to him.

“Yesterday!” he replied before he could catch himself. He didn’t want the stranger to feel responsible to feed him. “But it’s okay, I can manage,” he said quickly, trying to sound as casual as he could. Trying hard to mask the truth behind his words. The stranger looked hard into his face, the same way that he did before, trying to catch the lie in his eyes which was pretty easy to find. There’s a long pause between the two of them, the stranger looked like he was thinking of what to say next and Jimin is just staring at him. Staring at his beautiful eyes, his pretty lips that are pink and look like they have some type of gloss to them. His small cute nose that makes you wanna bop it at any moment. But their silence was cut short by the baby’s adorable babbling noises, making grabby hands towards Jimin, asking him to take her into his arms. At that, the stranger smiles pretty much the same way his daughter does, completely adorable and gums full on display, the only difference is that he has all of his teeth.

“Nana seems to like you a lot!” he pointed out again, but this time it sounded like he wasn't actually talking about the baby, and more himself. Nana giggled at the mention of her name, and both men coo at her, followed by the two of them joining in with her laughter.

“I can tell that she likes everyone!” Jimin exclaimed, wiping a tear from his cheek, his giggles quietening down. The stranger looked at him with a hint of satisfaction on his face, something that suits him a lot.

“What makes you believe that?” he said, in a teasing manner.

“She is sweet and kind like her father,” Jimin replied sincerely. This answer appeared to have surprised the generous man, as he started laughing which in turn made Jimin pout.

“How could you know that? You don’t even know my name,” he said with doubt written all over his face. It's true, Jimin didn't know his name. And neither did the stranger know his.  But he’s still treating Jimin with respect.

“Well, I’ve been living in the streets long enough to know how to read someone’s personality just by looking at them,” he said with a sad smile on his face that was mirrored on the strangers face. Not out of pity, but out of sympathy, something that was pretty rare for the people that end up helping him. Not that he was complaining much. Sure, he didn’t like it when people showed pity on him, but it's an emotion that’s hard to mask and they have good intentions so Jimin was grateful for their help.

“Since I’m a nice person, and Nana likes you a lot,” he said jokingly, winking at the baby “I’ll take you somewhere to eat.” he finished with determination, standing up. Then he took the phone out of his pocket and looked at Jimin. “What do you wanna eat?” he said unlocking his phone whilst waiting for Jimin to answer, who was finding it hard to believe what was going on in front of him.

“You don’t even know my name and you already want to take me out for dinner?” he said in a flirting tone, still a little shocked at the attitude of the other. “Besides, I’m pretty sure you have better things to do than feeding a homeless dude that you started talking to just because he ate one of your daughter’s cookies.” He said with nervous laughter. “How pathetic is that?” His eyes started to sting as the realisation of what he said came to his mind.

“Don’t talk about yourself like that.” The kind man said as he softly patted his back trying to reassure him. “Come on, let's get you something to eat. I was already planning to go and eat somewhere so you don’t need to feel like you keep me from doing something else.” He said as he gave Jimin his cutest gummy smile. “We'll learn each other's names when we are filling  our stomachs”

It took seconds for Jimin to realise that he had no other choice. “Alright!” Jimin said whilst getting off the bench. “But as you’re the one paying, you should choose where we will eat!” The smile on Jimin’s face could only be described as mischievous. “So... incredibly kind man, where are we going?” he teased while resting his hands on his hips. They stood there for some time, taking in the appearance of each other, realising that they are roughly the same height. At the sight of Jimin standing, Nana started whining, asking again to be held by him. “I’m sorry, little one,” he said with a sad smile. “I can't hold you right now. I'm too dirty and you don't need that. You might get sick and your daddy over there will get mad at me.” He smiled at the stranger and it seemed as if she understood what he said as she quietened down.

“You can push her stroller if you want. I believe she will like that a lot too.” the stranger reassured Jimin, giving him a small smile before he turned to look at his daughter. “Wouldn't you like that chickie?” he baby-talked to her as she smiled. “Oh, I'm sure you would baby. Who wouldn't want to look at that beautiful face all the time?” he said and he looked at Jimin. His comment made Jimin smile as the colour of pink started to appear on his face. Jimin realised that in those thirty minutes that he's been interacting with the stranger, he smiled more than he ever did in all those months that he's been living on the streets. His cheeks were starting to hurt by how much he’d been smiling. The stranger looked at his phone again as it seemed to lighten up indicating a new message. “Change of plans!” he said laughing at Jimin's worrying expression as he placed his phone back in his pocket after locking it. “My driver is going to take us to my home,” he said sporting his gummy smile “I have a guest room that you can sleep in and take a shower!” Jimin's eyes were blown wide, he wasn't sure anymore, was this all just a dream or was this really happening? The stranger chuckled. “Come on, I'll cook dinner too,” he said as he winked at Jimin teasingly, “It's nice to have someone to cook for from time to time.” There was a sad look in his eyes that Jimin barely noticed. Jimin suddenly thought that the man must feel very lonely.

A black car parked near the sidewalk and the stranger didn’t even look at him before he slowly pushed the stroller towards it. “Pack your stuff and let's go.” he singsonged while shaking a rattle to distract Nana from whining because she still wanted Jimin to pick her up. Jimin just stood there, baffled from what was happening right now. ‘Is this guy serious?’ Jimin thought. ‘Is he really taking me to his home to stay for the night?’ He still can't believe what he saw in front of him because this man was so beautiful with his dark red hair and his delicate small features.  “I will stay here all day ‘cause I'm not leaving without you, kid.” He said turning to look at him and smiling to him. “Let's move.” He ushered Jimin to follow him while gesturing towards the car.

“Okay, okay, I'm coming,” Jimin said, quickly picking up his things. “Not that I have a lot of things with me.” He said under his breath and started following the man to the car. When they got near enough to the car, the driver stepped out to greet them as he opened the door for them. He had a slim silhouette, his eyes were sharp and his skin looked like it had been sunkissed.

“Greetings, Mister Min!” The driver greeted the stranger with a wide smile on his face in the shape of a heart. He yelped as he tried to dodge Min’s attack.

“There is no reason to call me that. How many times do I have to tell you?” the stranger said with a sigh still trying to smack his driver. Jimin laughed at the scene in front of him. They acted more like friends than actually boss and employee.

“And where is the fun in that may I ask?” The driver said with a shit eating grin. Making Mister Min start chasing him again. Wait- Min? Why does this name rings a bell to Jimin brain? It is evident at this point that the man in front of him that is now a little tired from running after his friend and he is taking his daughter in his arms to put her in the car is rich but Jimin doesn't know a lot of rich people. So why does this name feels so familiar?

“What?” He screamed at the recognition of the person in front of him. The poor man got so startled that he hit his head on the roof of the car. “You're Min, as in Min Yoongi,” he said way too loud which had some people turn their heads towards him. “Min Yoongi: the owner of the biggest recording company in Korea?” He whisper-yelled, too embarrassed to now look at the people around him, too embarrassed to notice that he had gotten too close to the stranger that was now looking at him with a terrified expression.

“Could you please not alert everybody that I'm here and get in the car?” He whispered frantically, trying to move a little faster than before. “Hoseok, can you help me with the stroller? I can't close this thing no matter how many times I've tried.” He said as he was taking the big bag under the stroller with the baby’s stuff. He opened the trunk of the car to put Nana's things in. “You can put your stuff here too.” He said and he moved to the side so Jimin could have better access to the trunk.

After Jimin got his things in, Hoseok came and placed the folded stroller inside as well. “That's all. We are ready to go Yoongi-hyung!” He said and wiped his hands on his pants after closing the trunk, acting like he just put a dead body inside which made Jimin laugh. “Let's go,” He said, patting both of their backs.

“You should sit in the front seat and I'll sit next to Nana,” Yoongi suggested and he went to open the front door.

“As you wish, Mister Min!” Jimin said with a mischievous smile and got in the front seat of the car and Yoongi showed him his tongue. ‘God, he is such a child’ Jimin thought.  He listened as Yoongi closed the door and Hoseok laughed hysterically at Jimin's teasing.

“I like him already” Jimin heard Hoseok say to Yoongi as he moved around the front of the car. Nana squealed at the sight of her dad getting in the car, smiling at both of them as he does. “So, you are?” Hoseok asked after getting in the car.

“A nobody.” A fake laugh left Jimin's lips as he spoke.

“Don't think of it like that kid. I'm sure you have your reasons why you became homeless.” Yoongi said with a stern look. “You don't look like one of those people that are too lazy to work.” His words brought tears in the corner of Jimin's eyes and he shifted his gaze back to his hands that were now resting on his lap as he uncomfortably played with the hem of his shirt.

“Thank you!” He said with a strained voice, as unshed tears choked his throat. He felt Yoongi’s hand rub his shoulder in an attempt to console him.

Hoseok shifted in his seat. “Anyway, I'm still waiting for you to tell me your name?” he said in a joking manner and Jimin gave him a sad smile in return.

“Hobi!” Yoongi warned him in a quiet voice as if speaking more loudly would make Jimin break. “It's not always time for jokes.” He indicated.

Jimin cleared his voice and shook his head in response. “It's fine. I know Hoseok-ssi just wanted to  lighten the mood.” He said while giving Yoongi a reassuring smile.

“See!” Hoseok pointed excitedly. “I told you I already like him.” He said while starting the car, smiling wide at them.

“I like him too. Nana always knows how to read other people.” Yoongi said while smiling at his little daughter. “Isn't that right Chickie?” He said while talking to the baby. “He is nice and really, really cute don't you think that too, my little dumpling?” Nana began to giggle as Yoongi started tickling her.

“Sometimes I don't know which one is the child with those two!” Hoseok mumbled under his breath looking fondly at the rear-view mirror and sighed. “Are you going to tell me your name or am I going to call you whatever I want?” He said and they both started laughing.

“Sorry! I'm Jimin!” He said in between his giggles.

“Jimin!” Yoongi repeated, voice deep as the ocean, making his name sound like the most beautiful thing in the world. “I like it.” He said, smiling to himself whilst looking at Nana. “Did you hear that, my little chick?” Yoongi cooed at his daughter. “Your new friend has a name as pretty as him.” and at that Jimin’s heart skipped a beat for what felt like the millionth time.

“Thank you,” Jimin said a little embarrassed at how hot his cheeks feel which made Hoseok laugh even more. A reaction that didn't really help Jimin's situation. Yoongi turned and looked at his eyes smiling at him and that moment was the first time in these months that Jimin really felt happy. It was the first time that Jimin thought that he might have found somewhere he belonged. A place to call home.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The ride to Yoongi’s home didn’t take long, it was only half an hour away from the park. During the ride, Yoongi played with Nana, giving her lots of tickles as Hoseok made small talk. They didn't talk much about their life, only some comments here and there about the song that's playing on the radio or the place they just passed through. Jimin was barely able to stay still when Hoseok was parking the car in the driveway. He was very curious to see how the house looked on the inside. He’d seen a lot of expensive buildings, hell, he even lived in one, but what made him excited was how ordinary it looked. It was pretty rare for a person with the amount of money that Yoongi had to have a house like that. The driveway was just big enough to fit two cars in it, one for the guests and one for Yoongi’s car, Jimin guessed. When the car came to a full stop, Jimin turned around to see that Nana was fast asleep. Yoongi was texting someone on his phone, lips forming in a small pout, eyebrows furrowed as he typed a seemingly important message. As if he sensed Jimin’s stare, Yoongi looked up at him and smiled, making the butterflies fly in his stomach again, “I guess we’ve reached our destination!” he said quietly, to not wake the baby, locking his phone and putting it in his pocket “I guess so!” Jimin replied, mirroring Yoongi’s smile. “I can't wait to see what you will cook for me Yoongi-ssi,” he said with a mischievous smile forming again on his face. At the thought of food, his stomach started rumbling for the millionth time today, embarrassing him, but none of them commented on it because before they got to say anything, there was a light tap on Jimin window, startling them both. “Come on, pretty lovebirds!” Hoseok's voice came muffled from the other side of the glass. “I believe that this baby chick will sleep better in her crib,” he said as he pointed to Nana. The smile that was painted on his face was so wide as if he had told the funniest joke in his life. When Jimin turned to look at Yoongi, he saw him scratching the back of his neck and looking down at his lap, dust of pink on his cheeks. At that sight, Jimin giggled, making Yoongi return his gaze, the colour on his cheeks getting a little darker. “Let's go! It looks like someone is getting impatient,” he said, as he gave a death glare to Hoseok while sticking his tongue out, something that made Hoseok laugh so hard that he fell to the floor. Yoongi opened the door and got out, teasingly kicking Hoseok’s butt before he moved at the other side of the car to get Nana out. While Yoongi was picking his daughter up, Jimin got out of the car as well and went after Hoseok to get his stuff from the trunk. They both quickly followed Yoongi towards the porch, holding an adorable sleeping Nana in one arm. As the elder tried to open the front door that was painted in a cream colour, matching the colour of the pillars, Jimin noticed on his keychain a small ornament in the shape of a heart with a picture of a baby in it. When he opened the door Yoongi stepped away and leaned against the wall. The dark blue colour of the exterior made Yoongi look paler than he already was and Jimin thought that he would love to see the elder in a dark blue sweater. When Jimin walked inside, he noticed that the interior of the house was as beautiful and as homey looking as the exterior. While following Hoseok to the living room, Jimin's attention was caught by a baby bouncer that was placed near a grand piano further inside the house. Mesmerised by its beauty, Jimin walked towards it and pressed down on a key. The loud noise startled him and he turned behind him to check if he woke the baby up. What he saw instead was Yoongi looking at him with the most adorable smile he had ever seen, the huge window that was behind the elder at the opposite side to the instrument made Yoongi look ethereal. The well-known producer was staring at him as if what Jimin had done was the cutest thing he had seen in his life. “You can leave your stuff here,” Yoongi said, pointing at the side of one of the grey couches that were in the living room. Hoseok was already sitting on the other one reaching at the small coffee table to get the controller for the TV. “There is a bathroom in the guest room upstairs for you to take a shower. Pick whichever room you want. I'll bring you a change of clothes later so keep the door open for me to know where you are.” He said gesturing towards the stairs that were near the piano with his free hand since he was still holding Nana. With a small nod of his head, Jimin started climbing the stairs. Jimin wasn't able to see what was upstairs from the beginning because the stairs were built with a slight curve in the middle. The first thing that caught Jimin's eye when he reached the first floor was the baby pink door with a fairy decal stuck on it. Jimin cooed at the adorable cursive letters reading 'Little Princess' on the sign that hung from the fairy's dainty hands. There were two rooms on each side of Nana's room. Jimin decided to check the room on the far left, away from the baby’s room to not disturb the family. It didn't matter that much because he didn't know how long he was going to stay anyway. Even though the hallway was relatively small, the room he picked was really big and it looked like it was unused which was a good thing. When he walked in, the first thing he did was open the curtains that were so thick that sunlight they were completely blocking the sun. He squinted his eyes a little as he looked outside, his gaze fell upon a swing that was in the backyard slightly swinging by the wind. Not wanting to waste more time, Jimin went into the bathroom and closed the door to take a shower. As he was testing the water’s temperature, he noticed that there were towels on the small shelves near the sink. There was also a cabinet, and out of curiosity, Jimin opened it to see that there was shaving cream and a razor that was unused. At the sight of that Jimin smiled, he can finally shave again. He tried his best not to take too long but damn, shaving takes too much time. At some point, he heard someone walk into the room. There was a light knock on the door that nearly made him jump. “Hello?” Jimin said to make the other aware that he heard it. “It’s just me!” Yoongi said, and his voice made Jimin's heart race a little, “I brought you something to wear and a pair of slippers. The clothes are on the bed and I left the slippers just outside the door so be careful not to stumble on them.” He sounded like he was smiling. “Thank you!” Jimin said while trying to focus not to cut his leg as he was shaving it. “I'll be out in a minute.” He said apologetically. Yoongi chuckled “It's okay, Jimin. Take your time. I'm going to start cooking so I'll leave you alone.” He said voice getting a little fainter as he was leaving the room. Jimin was so hungry that his stomach ached, but he wanted to be clean before going down to the kitchen. Call him crazy, but shaving his face and legs makes him feel cleaner than anything. When he was finally done with the shower he placed a towel around his waist and looked at himself in the mirror. His reflection was someone that Jimin could barely recognize as him. His ribs were more visible than it was normal, after all, he lost a lot of weight after those months in the street, he placed his hand on his tummy that had lost its abs from the little work out that he did in the past. He immediately turned away from the mirror not wanting to look anymore at his skinny body. It's not that he hated it, he just didn't want to dwell too much on his current image. When he walked out of the bathroom he wore the slippers that Yoongi left for him, his feet felt soft in them immediately relaxing at the warmth that they provided. He walked towards the bed to get dressed Jimin smiled at the sight of the sweatshirt the elder had picked for him. He felt like he was drowning in it as it was a little bigger than he was. The yellow colour of it complemented really well his skin colour, something that made him really happy. After the bath, Jimin's body released all the exhaustion that he had from all those days out, the hot water relaxed his aching muscles and he tiredly sat down on the bed unable to wear the black sweatpants while standing. The sweatpants were comfortable and soft on his freshly shaved legs, same as the sweatshirt. Taking some time to gather himself, he embraced the feeling of finally being clean, Jimin looked at the pillows and wondered if people really need this amount of them to be able to sleep. He reached out his hand and touched one of the smaller ones that had grey pillowcases, matching both curtains and the fluffy blanket that was placed at the foot of the bed and felt that it was really soft and puffy. Jimin hands instantly went to the blanket, curious to see if it was as soft as the pillows. A sigh of relief left his lips as he ran his fingers through the blanket and he debated with himself if he should just wrap it around himself and bury his face on the pillows or if he should just go down and join the elder in the kitchen. His thoughts were cut off quickly by Yoongi telling him to come down and eat. With a small sigh, Jimin got up and glanced at himself in the mirror that was near the closet at the left side of the door and left the room. As he was walking down the stairs Jimin's nostrils were filled with the scent of the delicious food that Yoongi was preparing. “This smells so go-” Jimin was stunned for a moment, his eyes landed on the elder who was setting the table, a scene that he found quite homely. He had changed out of his work clothes and was now wearing something more casual. The oversized shirt and comfortable pants made the elder look like he had a smaller frame, which was something that Jimin found endearing. Yoongi's smile widened when his eyes fell on him, seemingly appreciating the way his clothes looked on him. “Yellow looks way better on you!” he commented and returned his gaze back to the matter at hand, making sure that the table was properly set for the three of them. Jimin's eyes wandered to the other side of the table, looking at a clearly amused Hoseok, who was silently trying to suppress a laugh at their small interaction. Embarrassed, Jimin sat at the nearest chair on the opposite side of the table from where he guessed Yoongi would sit. The younger cleared his throat, averting his gaze to his hands that were placed on his lap. “Thank you” he uttered, “For the clothes.” he finished, as he turned to look at Yoongi. Jimin was happy to see that he was still fixing some things in the kitchen with his back turned to them, so he wasn't able to see his face. Hoseok, though, /could/ and when Jimin peeked at him to see if he was looking, he saw him smiling wide with a knowing look on his face. “Don't mention it!” the elder said, flinching as he burned his thumb a little trying to get the tray out of the oven. “Besides,” he continued while sucking on the tip of his finger to cool it off. “I can't let you run around naked in my house, can I? Although, I wouldn't mind the view!” A teasing grin was forming on his face, and when Jimin's face turned completely red, his laughter filled the room while Hoseok whined in protest. “Can you stop being so horny when I'm around?” Hoseok asked with disgust painted on his face. “I don't want those types of images in my head. If you continue like this I won’t be able to eat.” Jimin laughed at Hoseok's whiny voice, still feeling his cheeks burning. “Nonsense,” he pointed an accusing finger at Hoseok, “no one is able to resist my excellent cooking.” Confidence was radiating off him. “We can see about /that/,” Jimin chirped in and smiled, “I have to give your food a try first,” nodding at the empty plate in front of him. He then laughed at the CEO when the elder took the plate, seemingly excited to prove to him how good his cooking skills were. Yoongi placed the food in front of him, waiting for him to have a taste of it. He was moving from one foot to another eager to see what the younger's opinion of his cooking skills. Jimin stayed there for what felt like hours, looking at the huge amount of food with wide eyes. “Gee!” Hoseok exclaimed, “Do you plan on eating him when winter comes?” he joked as he reached over to get his plate out of Yoongi's hands, “I'm going to starve with you two,” he said and started eating as soon as Yoongi placed his own food down at the seat nearest to Jimin. As if he was pulled out of some magic spell, Jimin started to move again, taking a fork in his hand to start eating the food in front of him, which smelled amazing. The food burned his mouth since it was just out of the oven, but Jimin didn't mind. He moaned when he got a taste of the first potato. “Drama queen!” Yoongi rolled his eyes at Hoseok, “I believe you can survive not eating for two minutes,” he said laughing at Hoseok, who teasingly stuck his tongue out. “Shut up! As much as I love dancing, it still makes me hungry like I haven't eaten in days.” He said with a full mouth as he was stuffing his mouth with potatoes. “Either way, having a dance school is more time consuming than I thought it would be, plus, I have to drive you around since your car’s been broken down!” he said, moving his hand around like he was fed up with Yoongi's behaviour. “I barely have time to cook at home!” Jimin was a little confused at that, he thought that Hoseok was Yoongi's driver, at least that's how they acted. He didn't really want to mention it to them yet, too embarrassed to ask something so personal. Maybe as time passed and got a little more comfortable, he would ask them, but right now he just enjoyed the bickering of the two friends. “That's why I invited you to eat with us today,” Yoongi pointed out. “Bullshit!” Hobi said with a scoff “You just don't want to be alone with a stranger cause you're awkward as hell,” he said while moving his head seemingly disappointed “especially if you find that stranger attractive.” Yoongi almost choked on his water at Hoseok's words. Jimin was looking at the elder with a soft smile on his face and a dust of pink decorating his cheeks, something that seemed permanent during the time that he was around the elder. He was quite enjoying the attention, he liked entertaining the thought that Yoongi found him attractive. Not that he didn't believe it. It's just nice to feel that way again. “I really like it!” Jimin changed the subject, pointing at his food with his fork, reaffirming his words by showing him his half-eaten plate. “Thank you!” Yoongi smiled. The happiness was evident in his voice. The rest of their lunch went smoothly, with Jimin mostly listening to the other two speak about work, occasionally making jokes about their coworkers or telling Jimin about some weird people that they've met at an audition; like that guy that came in wearing a pigeon mask, dabbing his head back and forth, while rapping out of beat. “For Yoongi,” Hoseok started, “it was almost painful to watch, but he thanked the guy for breaking the tension that was noticeable at the building. All of the contestants were nervous and excited to show their hard work and talent to get a contract with the biggest company in Seoul, in front of one of the most strict and respected CEO's.” “It was hilarious,” Yoongi whipped an imaginary tear out of the corner of his eyes. “The man came in while moving his head back and forth just like a pigeon does,” he said while mimicking the birds head movement. “Everyone, judge or contestant was laughing, almost falling on the floor.” “It was even funnier when Seokjin Hyung took off his mask! Everyone was so surprised to see him,” Hoseok added, laughing. “I remember how you got up from your seat and went to hug him!” “You're the one talking!” Yoongi scoffed, “like you didn't cry when you saw him.” “It's not my fault” Hoseok whined, “It had been almost a year since we last saw him in person,” Jimin cleared his throat to bring the attention back to him. “Excuse me,” he uttered looking at Yoongi in disbelief “Are you guys talking about the actor Kim Seokjin? The serious actor that only participates in dark themed dramas?” The two friends looked at each other and started laughing even more. “Oh my God Jimin,” Yoongi patted his head as if he was a small child, “you could never know how annoying Seokjin Hyung is until you've really met him.” There wasn't really a bite to Yoongi's words, almost like he didn't really think that way of his hyung. “Oh come on, Hyung!” Hoseok said with a cheeky smile “We both know you love h-,” his words were cut off, face tilted in confusion as he was looking at Yoongi who had raised his hand motioning him to stop talking. It took Jimin seconds to realize what he was hearing, but Yoongi's endearing smile was a pretty good indicator that they could hear Nana babbling through the baby monitor. “She’s awake!” Yoongi stated as he started to get up from his chair, “time to meet my sunflower properly,” he said to Jimin with a huge smile on his face filled with love and fondness. He gracefully moved around the table to go up the stairs. As soon as Yoongi was out of the room, Jimin turned to look at Hoseok. He was surprised to find him looking back at him with a serious expression on his face. “If you decide to stay, which I hope you do, just know that you'll be in good hands,” Hoseok nodded towards the way Yoongi went. “He will do anything he can to make sure you feel comfortable, loved.” His eyes stared into Jimin’s, “Because Yoongi is a good guy, he trusts and helps people. And having said that, you seem trustworthy, but I don’t know you, and you are staying with my best friend and his baby after just meeting them.” Jimin could see where this was going. “So, I’m warning you too, don’t break that trust” Hoseok finished seriously. Jimin nodded to show him that he was understanding what he was saying. He understood perfectly, he realised how odd the situation was, and although Jimin knew in his heart that he had no ill intentions, he couldn’t blame Hoseok for looking out for his best friend. So, Jimin made it a priority to make sure to give back to Yoongi and actually earn his trust. “No, I understand, thank you for looking out for your friend,” he replied simply. Hoseok silently nodded in affirmation. A little taken aback from the sudden change in the mood, and looking for a way to change it, curiosity suddenly got the better of Jimin. “Are you really Yoongi's driver?” the question that has been swimming around his mind for quite some time now. Hoseok looked at him in disbelief, “No, I'm just his very generous best friend,” he said while pointing at his face. “I own a dance school called ‘Hope on the street’ if you've ever heard of it.” Jimin's eyes widened at the realization. “Are you serious?” Jimin whisper-yelled. “Dead-ass,” eyebrows raised. “How come I've never heard your name or even seen your face?” Jimin was still shocked by this new information, “Hope on the street’ has the best choreographies of my favourite songs, even though I don't think I'll ever find his real name, J-hope is one of my favourite choreographers.” Hoseok's smile became brighter than the sun. “You're looking right at him!” Hoseok winked at him. “H-how come you've never shown your face to us?” Jimin was curious to know because his mind couldn't fathom that someone with so much fame would choose to stay hidden from the world. “I never wanted to be famous,” Hoseok explained, “when Yoongi and Namjoon told me that they wanted to hire me as the choreographer for their company that they were trying to build, I was pretty shocked.” His eyes took on a fond look at the memory of that day. “I never thought I was good enough to choreograph songs for new idols. Yoongi always makes sure to tell me how well I do my job and how worthy I am!” he said, sounding a little nostalgic. “I'm really grateful for him. Without him, I wouldn't have the dance school that I have now!” Jimin was still struggling to get used to the thought that this man in front of him was someone he looked up to for years. “How did you and Yoongi meet?” “You won't believe me if I say!” Yoongi replied startling both of them because they hadn't heard him coming down the stairs during their animated conversation. Yoongi smiled at them, seemingly amused by their reaction. “Wha-what do you mean?” Jimin stuttered. “Well, I was walking down the street with Namjoon, and we saw a crowd cheering on someone.” Yoongi looked at Hoseok with such a fond smile on his face, Nana was playing with Yoongi's hair, ruffling his right side and pulling it lightly. Yoongi wasn't really bothered by what she was doing to him. “Turns out we just stood there looking at one of the best dancers I've ever seen in my life,” he explained, “So we waited until he was done doing his number to give him our business card.” Nana was now pulling Yoongi’s lower lip with her little hand, and in return, Yoongi blew raspberries on her neck, which she answered with a fit of giggles. “Can you believe that he, at first, wanted to take me on a date?” Hoseok chipped in. “Excuse me?” Yoongi said as he changed Nana's position in his arms, “I'm not blind! You're really damn attractive.”   Hoseok chuckled, “Like you weren't trying to fuck every person that caught your eye.” Jimin looked at Hoseok with a questioning gaze. “What?” He asked Jimin.  Jimin smiled at him, “I was wondering why you didn't take the opportunity.”  “I never said I didn't!”  Jimin looked at Yoongi in disbelief. “Do you have sex with everyone that you hire for the company?” he teased, as Yoongi's blush made Hoseok cackle loudly. At that Nana started laughing with them, her little voice made Jimin coo at her, she was the cutest baby Jimin had ever seen. Yoongi turned his face towards Nana's small body to hide his blush from them. Nana started playing with his hair while babbling about something. “It's late!” Hoseok said while getting up from the table, “I should go home.”He leaned down to place a kiss on Nana's cheek, “I'll call you tomorrow to give you details about the new choreography.” he directed at Yoongi with a nod, “And Jimin,” he added, turning to stare at the man in question with a serious look on his face, “Don't break it,” he warned. Jimin nodded. “Good!” Hoseok replied after a pause, looking satisfied, “Goodnight!” he finished and closed the door. Jimin turned to look at Yoongi only to find him staring right back. “What?” Jimin questioned, feeling the blush appear again on his face. Distracting himself, trying to look anywhere but at Yoongi, he only now notices that Yoongi must have put Nana on the ground, standing up and moving back and forth in a cute little dance. “Nothing,” Yoongi replies after a moment, still holding Nana’s little hand, “Let's go watch a movie in the living room.” And at that Nana started pulling Yoongi's hand towards Jimin. “What is it baby-chick?” Yoongi cooed at her as she turned to look Jimin, pointing and babbling. “You want to go to Jimin?” he asked her, as he turned to look at Jimin. “Get ready!” The fond look on Yoongi's face made Jimin's heart skip a beat. Jimin crouched down, extending his arms towards Nana, “Come here, sweet baby.” His heart grew in size as he watched Nana let go of Yoongi's hand and started walking towards him.“Minnie,” Nana called, waddling towards Jimin and bumping into his embrace. He lifted her up and kissed her cheek.“Wow!” he exclaimed, “You are such a grown-up lady,” he smiled at her, moving her hair away from her face and kissed her forehead, “Now,” he continued, as he let her down to walk beside him, “let’s go to the living room and watch a movie just like your dad suggested.” Jimin then looked at the elder only to find him returning his gaze with a fond look on his face.“You're really good with kids,” Yoongi points out as they sat down on the couch, Nana sitting between them babbling about the toys that Yoongi gave her earlier.“Thank you!” Jimin smiles, a little sadly, “my parents were always working when I was a kid and would usually let me babysit my little brother when I turned ten.” Jimin's voice sounded as sad as he felt. There was a pause between them, as Jimin turned his gaze to Yoongi who was facing the television, seemingly focused. The elder was absentmindedly caressing Nana’s hair after the girl had climbed into Yoongi’s arms and nuzzled her small head into his neck as sleepiness took over. Jimin found himself taking a liking to the sight in front of him, but at the same time, he couldn't help to feel a little jealous. After the birth of his little brother at the age of six, his parents became more distant towards him, even the little affection they had towards him vanished in a matter of days. It wasn't long after when he learned that they weren't his real parents. “Jimin?” Yoongi's voice pulled him out of his thoughts, “You look tired… why don't you go to your room and sleep?” His voice was barely above a whisper, raspy yet soothing. Jimin was indeed ready to sleep. The thought of a warm bed sounded like the best thing he could ever have. That's when it hit him. “Thank you,” he said sincerely, “I don't know what I would have done without you and your kind heart.” Yoongi smiled at him warmly. “There is no reason to thank me,” he moved Nana carefully on his other hand and reached over to touch Jimin's cheek, Jimin leaned into the touch. “I did what I wanted to do at that time, I couldn't leave you out there, your heart is too kind for the cruel world that there is out there.” His words made Jimin tear up. “I made it pretty well until now,” Jimin joked with a wobbly voice. “Yes,” Yoongi said looking at him with serious eyes, “You did, but for now let me help you get back on your feet.” he pleaded, and that was all Jimin needed to start crying, making Yoongi pull him into a side hug to calm him down. As Jimin was in Yoongi's embrace he felt a small hand pat on his head, Nana was now woken up from her little nap and was comforting Jimin coping her father's moves. “Thank you baby-chick,” Jimin said smiling at this little angel, “you are so kind, just like your father.” He turned to find Yoongi staring, eyes lingering on Jimin’s lips, watching how they moved as Yoongi licked his own. “I-I should go to sleep,” he stuttered getting up from the couch to leave. Yoongi let out a chuckle, “Goodnight Jimin,” a cheeky grin on his face. “Oh, Jimin,” the elder added, calling him from the couch, “I'll have a day off tomorrow as well, if I'm not awake when you are, feel free to use the kitchen to make breakfast. My home is yours now,” he said, a blush dusting his cheeks, “Just don't break anything,” he warned but he didn't really sound serious. “Thank you,” Jimin said for what felt like the millionth time. “Goodnight Yoongi-hyung!” he gave a polite bow and turned to walk up the stairs to finally get that much-needed sleep. Jimin thought that at this moment, he was happy. Happier than he had ever been, he could finally sleep in a warm bed with a smile on his face.
