Izuku remembers being about six or so years old when he first met Shouchan. The memory is a bit hazy, but it’s still there. When he first met Shouchan, who was a bit surprised when Izuku wanted to play with him and didn’t seem to recognize the young star.

Young Izuku walks over to the small boy with the awesome white and red hair sitting by himself underneath the tall oak tree. He glanced back to his friends still playing hide and seek, so he decided to talk the the mysterious boy while he wait for the round to end.

“Hi! I like your hair.” Izuku greeted. The cool haired boy look up and stared at Izuku. Izuku’s green eyes widen at the boy’s eyes. They’re two different colors! How amazing! “Why’re you here all by yourself? Aren’t you lonely? And wow, your eyes look so cool! I never seen different colored eyes ever!”

“...My father doesn’t want me to play with others.” The boy replied shortly after taking a quick look at Izuku. He looks like he’s expecting something from Izuku, even though they’re complete strangers to each other. “I’m just watching you guys play.”

Izuku blinks. “Your dad sounds mean. Is he here right now?”

The boy shook his head, a bit hesitant. “Don’t you know who I am?” He asks accusingly.

Izuku tilts his head in confusion. “No? I don’t think we ever met before. Am I supposed to know who you are?”

The boy slowly shook his head again. “No, not really.” Then he look away, looking like he’s done with the conversation.

“I’m Izuku Midoriya! Who are you?” Izuku stubbornly stay by the boy’s side. He wants him to be his new friend.

“Todoroki. Shouto Todoroki.”

“Okay, Shouchan! Wanna come play with us?” Izuku offers cheerfully, not a bit fazed by the boy- Shouchan- not replying anymore.

Shouchan looks at Izuku again. “What did you just call me?”

“I called you Shouchan, I think it’s really cute!” Izuku replied with a blinding smile. He continued talking when Shouchan just stared at him in shock. “So do you wanna play with us or not? It’s okay if you don’t!”

“...Are you always this nice to everyone?” Shouchan asks Izuku. He didn’t answer to Izuku’s offer. “Why are you being like this to me? Do you want money?”

Izuku frowns. “No thanks. Mom said I can’t have money because last time I lost twenty dollar once. And I always try to be nice ‘cause mom told me so! Treat others the way you want to be treated!”

Shouchan stay silent. “Do you really want me to play with you, Izuku?”

“Of course, Shouchan!” Izuku said cheerfully. “Let’s go, I’ll show you all my friends!”

One round of hide and seek turns into several, until some strange men in suits and sunglasses came up to Shouchan. Then Shouchan waved sadly at Izuku and went home.

The next day, Izuku couldn’t find the two-colors eyed boy with the perfectly split white and red hair anywhere in the park. He was surprised, though, to see Shouchan in the covers of a magazine.

When Shouchan shyly approached him the next week, Izuku didn’t bring that up. Instead, he smiled widely at Shouchan and dragged him to his friends.

The next few weeks, Shouchan and Izuku quickly became great friends. They always play together, sometimes with others sometimes by themselves. Shouchan lets Izuku talk abo

ut anything and anyone. Izuku in return sometimes asks about Shouchan’s celebrity life.

It doesn’t take long for the press to find out, and soon Izuku was viral for a few days. He didn’t think too much on it until one day Shouchan’s father stormed up to the two playing together.

“I don’t want to see you even looking at my son, ever again! Got it?” He glared at Izuku, who bursts into fat tears from the scary man yelling at him. Shouchan went in front of him and argued with the man.

The next day, Shouchan is gone.

Izuku snaps out of Memory Lane and shook his head. He looks at the box in front of him, the handwritten paper written by Shouchan, and the invite for coffee later on. He smiles at the things in front of him.

Who knew that simply being kind to the lonely looking boy in the park would lead to being invited for some coffee by said boy, except he’s world wide famous now? Of course, it matters more to Izuku that his childhood friend finally acknowledged him, rather than his childhood friend being famous.

He looks at the paper again.

'To the brightest person in the world, the one who showed me love when no one else did.

To my greatest friend, Izuku Midoriya.

I wish to speak to you again someday. I missed you a lot.

Meet up for coffee?

645-564-7951

--Shouto Todoroki, Shouchan'

Izuku grins. He grabs his phone, punched in the number, and began to write a short text, and…. Oh god, how do he introduce himself?

Hi, Shouchan! I can go for some coffee right now.

Nah, sounds too...generic.

Hey, Shouchan!! I’m glad we’re talking again!

No. He sounds too excited.

Hi! It’s Midoriya.

Is...is that okay? Should he use Izuku instead? Whatever, heck it, just go for it. Izuku hesitated for a moment, telling himself that he’s texting his childhood friend. Who just so happens to be super duper uber famous.

Without wasting another second, he sent the text and gently threw his phone on the couch. There! He did it! Now, all he have to do is anxiously wait for a reply.

“Obviously, Shouchan is very famous, which means that he must be very busy! I can maybe estimate about an hour or so at least, perhaps a whole day at most for a reply.” Izuku mutters. He didn’t look at his phone.

“What if his phone is programmed to automatically delete random texts because of spam from his fans? Well, that won’t really make sense on why he would give me his number in the first place. Would he remember my last name? Well, obviously, he even wrote it down and everything...”

Izuku’s mutterings came to an end when his phone pinged. Maybe it’s Uraraka?

Unknown Number:

Hey, Izuku. I’m glad you texted me. Want to go to a cafe later on for the coffee?

“Eep!” Izuku dropped his phone like it’s hot. He didn’t expect such a quick reply. He scrambles for a reply.

Yeah, sure! Do you have anything in mind?

Okay. Play it cool.

Unknown Number:

How about Breezy Side Coffee Shop? It is about fifteen minutes West of the hospital you work at.

Izuku gasps. His favorite coffee shop! He grins excitedly.

Okay! How about we meet there after I get out of work at 6?

Unknown Number:

Sure. I hope we do a lot of catching up, I missed you.

Izuku’s smile turned a bit sad as he remembered their wonderful childhood. Then it all rips suddenly from Shouchan’s father, Endeavor, who said that Shouchan has no time for playing around.

No matter what small Izuku had done, Izuku is reminded of his friend. Magazines, movies, interviews, literally everything has Shouchan’s face. Izuku don’t know how he didn’t know who Shouchan was before they met.

Whatever! Now they’re reunited, and no more controlling fathers will separate the two!

***************************************************************************************************

“H-hi, Shouchan!” Izuku greeted in an embarrassed tone. He hope Shouchan miss his blush. It’s just that he can’t help it! Shouchan just looks so...pretty. He’s wearing a simple white shirt with a black leather jacket over it, dark blue jeans, and a cap to cover his white and red hair. Izuku suppresses the  urge to bury his face in his hands. He feels so underdressed in his simple t-shirt and khakis.

“Izuku…” Shouchan immediately pulls Izuku into a tender hug, which Izuku melts into like a marshmallow in the middle of a flame. “I missed you so much. I hated my father for taking me away from you. My life was empty and lonely without you.”

“Eep! S-Shouchan!” Izuku yelped, it’s not like he’s complaining, but they’re in public! Anyone can see and post pictures of both of them in the internet. “T-thanks, but we’re in public. Y-your father-”

Shouchan let go instantly. ”I’m sorry.”

Izuku waves his hands wildly. “Ah! Don’t be, you were just excited! I’d gladly hug you back, but we’re kinda where anyone can take pictures of us!”

Shouchan smiles. “You’re just as nice as I remembered.”

Despite Shouchan being so stupidly famous, Izuku felt as if they were mere friends going out for food. “And you’re as cool as ever! I heard that you’re in an upcoming film with All Might himself, is that true?”

Small talk. Keep it simple and small.

“Yes, I am. It’s supposed to be on the action, thriller genre of movies. Rated R because Nemuri, or the Eighteen plus actress is starring as one of the main characters.” Shouchan explains lightly, like a normal person. Wow!

“Oh really? Is it rated r because of the movie itself, or simply because of Nemuri?” Izuku asks. Shouchan shrugs.

“A little bit of both,” He reveals. “Do you want to go get some drinks?”

“Oh! Uh, yeah sure.” Izuku forgot for a moment that they’re at a café.

Wasting no time, Shouchan lead Izuku to the front and ordered their food. The cashier nodded as they listed off what they wanted and happened to glance up. Her eyes widen when she recognized Shouchan, aka Shouto Todoroki.

“Ooh! Y-you’re Shouto Todoroki!” She squeals, drawing the attention of the other customers. Luckily, there weren’t lots of customers today, but Izuku is still a bit disappointed that Shouchan’s cover had been blown.

The other customers whispered to themselves and tried to take subtle pictures of them. It doesn’t help that Shouchan insists on them holding hands tightly. Oh god, this is going in the news.

“Yes, I am,” Shouchan answers the cashier casually. “How much?”

Okay, Shouchan. Just ignore the fact that you’re widely famous, why don’t ya? He doesn’t seem to care that everyone’s taking pictures and videos like crazy.

“T-that’ll be, uh, fourteen thousand yen, please.” The poor cashier looks like she’s about to explode, either from excitement or fear, Izuku doesn’t know.

“I’ll pay for it,” Izuku offers as he brought out his wallet.

“No, it’s fine. I will pay.” Shouchan refused. He put a hand on top of Izuku’s, and instead brought out a credit card. “You can’t do a thing about it also.”

The cashier shakily accepted the credit card and Izuku pouted. He don’t want Shouchan thinking that all Izuku wants is money from him. But his pout instantly vanished when Shouchan gave him a small smile and holy heck, Izuku has seen heaven in all of its glory.

They sat back down and talked about everything they could think of. Izuku is proud to say that he made Shouchan laugh several times, and is a little less proud to say that he became a stuttering mess at every time Shouchan laughs. Izuku excitedly asks Shouchan any question that pops into his head, which Shouchan gladly answers with a smile.

Soon, word got out quickly that Shouchan is at the Breezy Side Coffee shop. Shouchan and Izuku left the cafe as it grew more crowded and louder.

Their next destination was the park where they first met each other as little kids.

“This was where you were, by yourself, until I talked to you. Also when I nicknamed you Shouchan,” Izuku pointed at a oak tree, still standing tall and proud.

“When you decided to talk to the random boy you thought was cool,” Shouchan corrected. He smiles at the memory nonetheless. “I was so confused.”

Izuku laughs. He dragged Shouchan to the swings, old and weary, and pointed at them. “That’s when I pushed you on the swings and you were so amazed. I remember you opening your mouth and not closing it until I finished. Then you demanded that you should push me too.”

“And I did push you, right off the swing.” Shouchan finished with a chuckle.

Izuku walks over to the slides. “When you accidentally electrocuted yourself on the slide.”

“When you fell and cried so hard I thought you were dying.” Shouchan points at another place.

The rest of the afternoon was spent as the two recalled nostalgic memories, remembering happy and sad moments alike. Izuku would do anything to make Shouchan smile like he is right now. So filled with happiness, so serene and peaceful, yet it’s so small too. How can Shouchan fit all that in a tiny smile?

“I had lots of fun today. I really enjoy spending time with you again, I missed you a lot, Shouchan.” Izuku blabs as he hugged Shouchan. Shouchan immediately returned the hug tightly. They reluctantly let go after a while.

“I missed you too, Izuku. A lot. I’m glad you decided to hang out with me again.” Shouchan then smiles that special smile and Izuku felt complete. “Can we do this again someday?”

“Yes, yes, of course! I’ll gladly spend the rest of my days with you!” Izuku declared without thinking. Once his words registered in his mind, Izuku panicked. “A-ah! I mean, if you want me to that is! Uhm, if you don’t want to, that’s definitely okay, I mean…-”

“Izuku,” Shouchan interrupts with a laugh, “I would also spend the rest of my days with you. I can’t live my life without you again. I don’t think I can bear it.”

“D-does that mean...Um,” Izuku suddenly grew very bashful as he fidgeted with his hands. “I-I was wondering if that means that, you…”

Shouchan tilted his head in confusion as he waited for Izuku to finish.

“W-would you like to...to be my, my...you know, um,” Izuku’s face engulfed in red as he tried to continue his sentence. God, why is this so hard?

Shouchan’s eyes glinted with understanding as he realized what Izuku is trying to say. “Do you want to be together forever? As boyfriends?”

Izuku squeaked. He nodded shyly and quickly scrambled for an answer. “I, yes! I mean, if you want to be together, you don’t have to just because we’re childhood friends! I would be okay if you want to just stay as friends!”

Shouchan laughs again. His pale skin is splashed with the sunset’s colors, making him look like a mythical creature. Izuku wonders how such a beautiful person can exist. “Of course, Izuku. I was going to ask you too, but it seems you beat me to the punch. I would gladly be your boyfriend.”

Izuku perked up at that. “Really?”

“Yes, really,” Shouchan confirmed with a smile again. He held Izuku’s hands up to lightly kiss his knuckles. “Please say yes.”

“Of course!” Izuku yelps. He hugs Shouchan tightly. “How can I say no to you? It’ll be impossible to do so!”

Shouchan and Izuku stared at each others in the light of the sunset. They slowly leaned forward towards each other and shared a light kiss, pressing each other’s lips together. Izuku marveled at how soft and plump Shouchan’s lips are. So soft and sweet, exactly like Shouchan himself.

They didn’t let go of each other.
