The ship rocks recklessly along with the wild waves. Lightning brightens the sky with glowing light, but only adds to the panic of the crew. The sails burn more and more despite the rain drenching everything it can touch. The captain had long since fallen overboard and no one knew just who should be in charge with her gone, her son is far too young to lead them. The storm was only getting worse with the only known land nearby thousands of miles away. A powerful explosion surrounds half the ship and all at once the rest is swallowed by the brash waves. The captain's son gasp for air while trying to stay above the surface, but continues to be dragged back under. He had been taught from a young age not to fear the ocean, to think of it as a old and embracing friend. His family had always traveled the ocean, it was their home in a way that land could never be. He learned quickly that he could not escape the inevitable though, and decided to give into the water surrounding him. Katsuki woke up on a beach, the sun practically blinding him. There was no sign of his ship or his mother’s crew as far as the eye could see. Standing up, he started trying to take in his surroundings. The beach stretched on for miles, but he could clearly see trees in the distance. Hoping to find someone, he headed in that direction. It took a while, but he eventually found a decent sized village. The people here have designs all over their skin with beads and jewels in their hair. Katsuki looks around for a kind or familiar face among them, but comes up empty. As he walks through the village he feels the people's eyes following him. While a little unnerved he doesn't give up, and continues forward. He eventually finds the largest house in the village and realizes that the leader of the village lives there. If only he could find a way in. The people here probably can't keep him out by force, but if their glares are anything to go by these people mean business. They aren't hostile looking per se, but he doesn’t want to take any chances. The door to the house flies open and a boy comes barrelling out. The tension that was previously in the air suddenly dissipates to nothing. Nonetheless, he seemed to have picked up that Katsuki is new around there. He looks at him, smiling, and asks him to follow him. Katsuki agrees and treads thoughtlessly behind him towards whatever destination he has chosen. They stop on a empty beach not too far from the strangers house that looks identical to the one Katsuki woke up on. He looks towards the water and seems to relax. “Where did you come from?” It's a simple question Katsuki wasn't prepared for. He figures he should have known he would be questioned. Katsuki replies “My family are sailors, we come from the ocean.” The stranger looks at him and says “No one simply comes from the ocean. You must have a origin somewhere with dirt and soil, even if you don't know it.” Without thinking Katsuki turns and walks away. Later on when the sky is dark and the stars just start to reveal themselves from the curtains they dwell behind during the day, the stranger finds Katsuki again at the village docks and tries to start a conversation. “My name is Izuku, my father is the village leader. I've convinced him to give you a ship to return home, but you have to promise me something.” Whatever promise he has to make Katsuki decides will be worth it to finally be on the water again, he isn't sure if he'll be able to find his family again but he can try. “What promise?” Izuku smiles and says back to him, “Find your true home, whether it be on water or land. Find a place you truly feel you belong, and take me with you.”
