Adrien Agreste: The supermodel.

Adrien Agreste: The perfect son.

The ideal image of perfection.
But... he had a secret.
~~***~~
Adrien stretched out in his bed, moving each appendage out as far as they would go. Yawning widely, he groaned in satisfaction at the cracking in his back. He stared at the ceiling as the sun bore into his opened windows. He didn't want to wake up fully quite yet, so he pulled his pillow down over his face.  "Nnng" He grunted at the alarm clock, slamming his hand down atop it to stop the incessant noise blaring from the small speakers; lifting his arm with the contraption in hand, he chucked it across the room. He knew he would get a good stern talking to for that one. Nathalie had been having to buy him many alarm clocks over the last three months; all for the same exact reason. He remembered the conversation from last week, quite vividly. "Adrien. Really? Again? You know you could just press the button. It stops the noise." Nathalie stated exasperated, staring at the mangled mess of wires and metal Adrien placed within her hands. Stating he would need another when she got a minute.
"Heh. Yeeah, about that." Adrien chuckled a moment, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Do make sure this stops happening. You'll have a new one by Sunday night" Nathalie gave him a look over her glasses before shoving them up her nose and leaving him to himself.
He went on to break five more alarm clocks. Six. Shying away from telling his father's assistant, leaving her to come find out for herself. Adrien felt his eyelids getting heavy as the comfortable beckoning of sleep lured him in. Too bad Plagg had other plans. "Kid, wake up. You're gonna be late for school" "Five more minutes" Came the muffled reply beneath the Egyptian cotton. "Ugh. Kid. It's never just five more minutes and you know it. Get up." Plagg quoted him before phasing through the blanket and biting him on his leg. Adrien yelped lightly and jumped up, rubbing the sore spot. "Okay. Okay. I'm up. What was that about?" Adrien gave his kwami a dirty look once in his view. "If you keep being late, your father is going to pull you from public school" Plagg had a point. Adrien had been late many days and his father had shown deep disdain for that. He had warned him previously that if he could not properly hold up his attendance and refrain from the tardiness, he would return to homeschooling and tutors; and Adrien aimed to avoid that at all costs. "Alright" Adrien huffed before dragging himself out of bed. He trudged toward the bathroom, scuffing his feet the entire way there. A hot shower was exactly what the seventeen year old needed. The aching in his shoulders eased immensely, and the sleepiness poking at the edges of his mind faded away. He let his mind wander as he stood beneath the stream of steaming water, tilting his head back and closing his eyes. He could stay within a shower forever, if it were possible. The built blonde ran his fingers along his well toned abdomen, for once thankful about something from all the photo sessions and modeling gigs. He had to be in top shape in order to keep his father proud of him; in reality, he knew it was to keep the Agreste name flawless and without a flabby out-of-shape bon-bon eating mope representing his business. Somehow there was something high-end about the creator of a business hiring his own son to represent the line.Adrien turned the water off after a few moments, drying off before wrapping the towel around his waist, once satisfied enough, and went back into his room. He opted for his favorite band t-shirt, a faded pair of blue jeans, and his name-brand sneakers. He styled his hair as he brushed it, staring into his mirror."Good to go" Adrien spoke aloud, pretending it was to Plagg and he was not at all talking to himself. The day was average. Early to school but not the first to arrive. Standing in the warm rays of early morning sun, he waited for his friends. Knowing Marinette was always late. Silly ol' Marinette. She was an overall sweet girl with a heart of gold, the best friend anyone could ask for. Adrien shifted his backpack up onto his shoulder more, leaning against the wall and sliding his hand into his pants pocket. "Hey Agreste" Alix spoke on her way passed, tilting her head ever-so-slightly backward in greeting. "Hi Alix" Adrien smiled in return. A few moments went by before Nino came walking up the front steps, their hands meeting in their usual fist-bump. "About time." Adrien teased, chuckling as they entered through the school doors. "I'm not late. Not my fault you have to show up ten minutes before normal humans, dude." Nino grinned. They put their bags in their lockers and grabbed the necessary books for class."Adrikins!!" Came a shrill call, seemingly out of no where. It shattered the comfortable silence that had filled the locker room. Adrien sighed inwardly. "Hey, Chlo. What's up?" He asked, grunting lightly as the bouncy blonde threw herself onto him and wrapping her arms around his neck. "I missed you! I think we should sit together." Chloé stated in a demanding tone, before letting go of her childhood friend. She stared up at him to try and read his expression, but it was in vain; He had been good at hiding his feelings, no matter what was dished at him, due to his father. "I have no control over who sits where. You sit with Sabrina, why change that just for me? I think I like the way things are right now, Chlo, and you just don't mess up a good thing. We better get going though, that was the bell" Adrien patted himself on the back mentally for his quick thinking, satisfied with the explanation. It couldn't hurt or agitate her, as it was the truth; right? Nino gave a half-wave as he ran after his friend, a smile tugging at the corner of his lip. "Nice one, back there" "Thanks" Adrien found himself zoning out during class, once his notes were completed, and the teacher droned on-and-on about some random topic. Honestly, he hadn't been paying much attention once the subject changed. His mind was drifting off to running around the city as Chat, feeling free. He was frustrated over a conversation, almost argument, he had with his father the previous night. The man was infuriating. He wondered often how his mother ever fell in love with him in the first place. Was he a different man with her? Because of her? Unfortunately, Adrien would never know. His mind strangely drifted toward Nathaniel. He had a nice smile and a great personality, his drawings were phenomenal; He had seen some of them himself. Adrien was unsure he could ever see him as a love interest, however, despite Nathaniel's funnier side when he was around. Marc, as well, had come out the previous week. He was heavily on the shy side but was truly a sweet guy as well. He rarely spoke when people were around and was slowly opening up as people convinced him that nobody, with the exception of Chloé, was out to get him. Kim was farthest from what he was interested in and the jock type just did not tickle his fancy. He could never imagine himself being taken by a burly bad-ass who thought they were better than anyone else; even if Kim was a nicer guy than most. Adrien grumbled to himself and brought his mind out of his musings, throwing his eyes to his teacher. Still going on about... what was it again? Man, it would be a miracle if he could pass this year. "Dude" Nino whispered."What?" Adrien turned to look at his best friend. "I think you've got an admirer" Nino replied, motioning towards Marinette with a cock of his head. Adrien's 'brows rose in surprise as his eyes widened marginally."Mari?" Adrien asked in a barely audible tone. "She's one of my closest friends, no way. I couldn't do that to her. If we didn't work out, she would hate me." Adrien leaned back in his seat, turning his face away. "Maybe think about it, dude?" Nino pressed. He wouldn't even be talking about it7 if not for Alya. She had texted him to somehow bring Marinette up to the oblivious blonde. "Alright. I can do that much, I suppose." Adrien chewed on the inside of his lip, feeling his gut drop. He would give it a thought. Just like all the other girls through-out the years. He would think about how they truly were beautiful women with amazing personalities, and how they would make someone very happy one day; but it wouldn't be him. His mind would then drift back to Nathaniel or Marc, simply because he knew they shared the same ride he did. They had set sail in the same boat. They were gay, too.He wondered how they did it. Had they told their parents? Was it easier telling friends and schoolmates because most of them seemed to accept them how they were? Did anyone resent them for who they were? A billion questions filled his mind, just like all the other times. He felt a pang of jealousy course through him at the thoughts of the boys. They had come out. They had gone through it and gotten it over with already; while Adrien... Adrien had never verbally spoken those three little words to any soul in his entire life. Nobody knew. He still sat within the closet, as he had heard others call it. Spending all this time and more within the darkness all alone. He wished he could find himself and bring it out. Leave it all out on the table. He was just scared. He had attempted to tell his father on many occasions but something always came up. His father would be called away, suddenly get an emergency staff meeting over his computer that he absolutely had to take, or the conversation would somehow drift toward what-ifs. Adrien got wildly close once, but sadly chickened out.
"Enter" Gabriel's voice beckoned him in, after a small knock.

Adrien was nervous, lightly shaking as he took a slow, deep breath in to try and regulate his nerves. Take control over himself.

"Father?"

"What is it, I'm very busy" Gabriel didn't look over at him, he just continued tapping away at his computer screen with his knuckle, a stern expression across his face.

"There's something I want to tell you" Adrien mumbled, playing with his thumbs and chewing his bottom lip.

"Then tell me" Gabriel shot a quick glance his way, furrowing his 'brow.

"Stand up straight. That's an awful posture. You must be at your best with or without eyes on you as to not slack once they are. I thought I taught you better, do you need a refresher?" Gabriel hounded him, causing Adrien to jolt upright and feel small.

"N-no. I'm sorry, father, it wont happen again" Adrien looked away, hiding behind his hair.

"So what is this news of yours?"

"Reports came back and I got a 97 overall" Adrien changed his course. He lost his courage and ambition when his father berated him over something so minuscule as his posture.

"Mmm. Yes. Very nicely done, Adrien. I am pleased to see the switch has only dented your grades a tad. Do make sure they rise. Dismissed." Gabriel's arms went behind his back and clasped, looking down at his son with an expressionless face. Adrien sighed and nodded, leaving with tears in his eyes.
Pulling himself from the miserable memories, Adrien couldn't help but glance around the room, turning his eyes to Nino in the end. Could he tell him? Would he care? Would he get the wrong ideas about him? Why did the thoughts scare him so much? Nino had been with him through it all, being an amazing friend and ally through all of this issues, even when his father had shown him his nastier side. Despite wishing to tell him, loving him as a friend, he couldn't bring himself to do it. The tiny voice in the back of his mind whispering that it would change things, and not for the better.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Chat Noir brought him a freedom he had never had as Adrien. Everything about being the leather-clad hero was incredible to him. The kwami, the outfit, baton, cataclysm, and the best of all; soaring through the skies of Paris without a care in the world. Wind in his hair, all the scents of the city intermingling within his strengthened sense of smell, due to the abilities that came with the suit, and nobody being able to tell him what to do.It was all perfect. Truly perfect. He batoned his way through the city, extending the stick one jump after the other. He had no destination, just free-roaming. Chat finally came to a stop on the Pont Des Arts, or lovers bridge, and sat upon the fence. He had the privilege of peace and quiet only for the fact that it was two in the morning. He draped his legs down and stared out over the water, watching the moonlight bounce off the ripples. As the reflection shone bright, it illuminated across the locks, a particularly blue one catching  his eye. Glancing down, he noticed the black details accenting it. The main device was a deep blue with blue numbers while the spinning wheel and lock were black. It was all alone. He felt a pang within his heart as he could relate, and the thought entered his mind; would he ever find love? Was there someone within this desolate life for him? Someone who would love him back just as fervently and wildly as he would them? "I hope there's someone for you, too, my friend" He smiled sadly down at the lock, knowing someone elses heart was just as lonely as his was. ~☆~Adrien sat in class with his head on his arms, yawning widely. "Never seen you so tired, father schedule another very late night sesh again?" Nino leaned over so Adrien could hear his lowered voice. "Hmm?" A brief pause."Oh, yeah. It lasted longer than usual, as well, and they had to adjust the lighting and all that" Adrien felt bad for lying, but he just went with it. He couldn't tell him the truth, not yet. "What a hard ass. Sorry dude." Nino gave his sympathies before returning to his side of the desk. When the class came to an end, they all met up in the locker room. Idle chatter filled the silence before another shrill sound pierced through it all. Grumbling followed, people complaining about her nuissant sounds. "Adrikins!" Came the squeal of a familiar voice. He definitely did not need to turn around to know who it was."What Chloé?" He was too tired to deal with this. "Come to the gala with me. Mother is throwing it. It starts at four in exactly two weeks. See you there!" Chloé gave a fake smile before leaving. Giving him no chance to reply. He could feel the vein in his temple ready to burst at her audacity. He was used to her personality, but her pushiness was starting to wear thin on him. In more of a sour mood than he was that morning, Adrien closed his locker with anger and left without a word to Nino. God, how he wanted this day to end. He sat beside Rose in his next class, his mood still had not leveled out any through-out the hour and it felt strange. He wasn't used to such foul moods hanging on for so long. "Are you okay?" Rose asked in her soft voice. Adrien looked over at her, unsure if he wanted to answer truthfully or just say I'm fine and leave it at that. He looked her in the eye and noticed how her entire face lit up in an overly-friendly smile, genuine curiosity gleaming in her eyes. He sighed. "No" He spoke simply, unsure what extent she wanted to know or if she was just being kind. "Do you want to talk about it? I know we rarely talk, but I'm here to listen" She placed her hands in her lap as she watched him, taking in his pain-filled eyes. "Well... my father controls my entire life, and now Chloè is demanding I go to her events with her as her date" He said the last word with disdain, as if it tasted like poison on his tongue. "Oh, dear. She sure is a bad seed! If you want my thoughts, I think you should tell her what you want. It may not be as easy with your father, but Chloé doesn't own you." Rose offered up, trying to aid him through his troubles as best as she could; knowing that not everyone wants advice or opinions. Adrien absorbed the words and remained quiet for a few moments. Getting lost in thought. Finally, he nodded. "You're right. I need to put my foot down and stop letting her put her hands in my life. I've let it go on since we were just kids, but I want my life back" Adrien turned towards her and smiled in appreciation. "Thank you, Rose! You have no idea how much I appreciate you helping me!" Adrien gushed. Rose was taken by surprise, her eyebrows rose before a beaming smile took over her features. She felt sorry for him. Did he not have any friends or people within his life to show him any appreciation  or affection? "Any time you need, I'm here" Within the next hour of free block, they chatted about different things. Quickly they learned a lot about each other. Favorite activities, hobbies, Adrien's gone mother and lacking father, Rose's sometimes-overly-affectionate father but absentee mother. They learned that they were similar. By the end of the class, he was completely turned around. Happier than ever. He felt like his friend circle was expanding.Out in the hallway, he could hear Chloé exiting a few rooms down. On a mission, he met her halfway. "Chloé, I don't want to go to the gala with you. Okay, bye." He waved before turning to leave, but of course, she wouldn't let him without giving her piece. "What? Why not? I thought we would enjoy the night and maybe get some dinner" Chloé whined, grabbing and pulling on his arm to keep him from leaving; She was never told 'no'. Rose walked up beside Adrien to be of assistance if he needed, smiling reassuringly up to him. To encourage him to keep to it. "You're barking up the wrong tree" Adrien spoke short with her, pulling his arm away and walking down the hall. Rose watched his receding back with shock.
Barking up the wrong tree.

Was he?
Rose glanced back at Chloé and smiled in triumph, giggling at the look of bewilderment before following after her new found friend. Adrien was always filled with kindness, showing anyone and anything respect, patience, understanding, and warmth. He tried to instill goodness anywhere he went, as he knew full well what it felt like to be on the receiving end of misery; and he hated it. However, when it came to Chloe, he just couldn't stand idly by and do nor say nothing anymore. His father had already had his thumb pressing Adrien to the ground with deadlines, pressure, and an overwhelming need to fit a mould that was in his mind. He didn't need Chloe forcing herself into his life and crossing his boundaries. "Im so proud of you" Rose spoke softly to him as they walked down the hall. "I had never known how blind I've been. I can't keep being a people pleaser at the expense of my own happiness." Adrien tipped his head back and moment, taking a deep breath. Rose smiled, nodding in agreement.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The next few weeks Adrien found himself hanging out with Rose more. They would trade up, one day hanging out with Rose's friends then the next with Adrien's. Slowly, each were all starting to get to know each other and hang out as one big group. Everyone flowing together as if it had never been anything but this.  Adrien was happy. Nino had seemed uncomfortable at first, being the second to only guy, but quickly warmed up to the idea. They were all too good of people to pass up friendships on. Adrien leaned back in his chair as he doodled half-heartedly on his notebook. He was all alone, for once since weeks, and he disliked it. Nino had a doctors appointment and Rose didn't share this class. He was thankful for the sleep over plans that helped distract his mind. His attention was brought back to reality, as the door to the classroom opened and a blue haired boy entered. "Excuse me, I need to take Juleka" The strange boy spoke in a calmed tone. His blue eyes scanned the classroom for the girl, landing on Adrien. A look of familiarity flickered within his eyes as the tall male recognized Adrien from all the ads and posters all over the city. "Of course. Juleka, gather your materials. There will be a quiz so prepare." The teacher motioned to her, before returning to the chalkboard to continue the lesson. Juleka slid out of her desk, slung her backpack up over her shoulder, and quickly walked down the aisle towards her older brother; curious what this could be about, he had been gone for two months. His eye's lingered on Adrien a moment longer before turning to his sister, a small smile forming on his lips. Adrien stared at the retreating backs of the two, watching the door as it closed. His mind replaying those steel blue eyes dancing at him and his lips turning in the faintest of grins.
Who was that boy?
--~☆~--Rose swung her legs over the edge of Juleka's bed, watching as she paced back and forth. "You're going to wear a hole in the floor" Rose said softly, her hands were on either side of her, her feet making shapes on the floor. "Rose. Rose. Rose." Juleka stopped. She turned towards her girlfriend, bouncing in excitement. Rose smiled softly as she pushed herself up from the bed and walked over to the punk-rocker. Intertwining her fingers into Juleka's, Rose squeezed as she looked her in the eye. "What has you so wound up?" Rose tilted her head to the side in curiosity. "Know how I told you Luka took me out of school early today? Well he told me that by the end of the month that he's coming home!" Juleka was nearly squealing, it warmed Rose's heart to a melting point. "Really? Yaay" Rose yelled in happiness, matching the others. Juleka's smile beamed, thankful to have Rose in her life. She slipped her arms around Rose's neck and relaxed into her as a pair of arms snaked around the small of her back. A small kiss being placed upon Juleka's cheek. --~☆~--Adrien took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled, trying to calm his nerves. Why did it have to be so difficult to talk to his father? Something so simple as asking to hang out with his friends, and he felt as if he had to admit to murder. After a few moments of walking around, fumbling with his fingers, Adrien stopped himself at the door. 'You can do this' "Enter" Gabriel announced at the knocking on his door. Adrien turned the knob and slowly opened the door, glancing around. His father sat at the window seat in his office, a glass of Scotch on the rocks within his hand. He looked perplexed. "Father, I was wondering if I could spend the night at my friends this weekend?" He asked. It was out there. The hard part was finally over. Now, he just had to wait for rejection. "Which friend?" Gabriel asked as he pushed his glasses up out of the way and rubbed the bridge of his nose."Nino" Adrien kept his reply short, trying to not offer any more information than necessary. Somehow, it was like breathing; lying to his father. "You have a photoshoot at seven A.M. on Sunday morning, ensure you are home before then." Adrien gawked at him in surprise. He allowed it? Just like that? "Thank you, father! Thank you! Thank you! " Adrien spoke excitedly before exiting the room beaming with happiness. Gabriel watched him leave, giving a small smile. "You made him very happy. If I may say, I'm glad you let him go, sir." Nathalie spoke softly, only receiving a nod. --~☆~--Adrien nervously packed his bag of clothes, things he may need, and stinky cheese; wrapped in too many layers of plastic-wrap. He prayed to all the Gods in the world that the others wouldn't be able to smell it. He threw in his phone and charger before zipping it up and calling it good. He headed down to the car. He would get away with this, if none of his female friends were waiting for him outside of Juleka's house. Gorilla was a silent and on-his-side bodyguard, but he treated him like his own sometimes; and even he wouldn't want Adrien to be alone at night with a giant group of girls. "Nervous?" Plagg peaked out of his shirt, big green eyes were all that Adrien could see. "Yeah. There's going to be a lot of girls and a boy being there may ruffle some feathers." Adrien rubbed his sweating hands down his legs, swallowing back his nerves. "You'll survive. Many guys wish for moments like this" Plagg chuckled before disappearing into the darkness again. They had arrived. Adrien thanked his driver as he got out, staring out at the ship. A silhouette sat up on the railings; he could only make out a tall form within the moonlight. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as the car took off. Juleka walked down the ramp that attached the ship to shore, once the coast was clear, and gave Adrien her usual half-grin. "Hey Adrien" She gave him a short hug. "Hey Julesy" Adrien smiled and squeezed her. Juleka offered to take his bag as she led him into their home, Adrien politely shook his head and followed after her. The silhouette shifted, turning to watch them with interest.  --~☆~--"This is my room" Juleka opened the door for him, letting him go in first."Adrien!" Rose said excitedly, bouncing on the bed "You made it"Rose smiled at Juleka, pushing herself up to take his bag and place it on Juleka's bed. "I'm so glad your father let you out. You're gonna have a great time. Now for getting ready, where's the food?" Rose turned to Juleka, her stomach rumbling at the thought. "In the kitchen" Juleka smiled, Adrien was surprised she made jokes. There was still some he was learning about the girls. "You go ahead and get comfy, Adrien. Find a place to put your sleeping bag, and we'll go get the food and drinks" Juleka smiled at Adrien, turning to leave. Rose grabbed at her hand as she followed close behind. Adrien smiled warmly watching the girls leave. They were inspirational. He wondered, once again, if he would ever be able to find someone to share his life with like that. He walked over to the bed his bag sat on, grabbing out his sleeping bag. He glanced around the rather large room and wondered where he would put it. Juleka nor Rose had set theirs up yet, evident by the rolled up bags still on a chair in the corner. Adrien didn't hear the person enter the room. He didn't hear them when they crossed their arms over their chest and lean against the door jam. He was unaware of the person watching him. After a few moments the newcomer broke the silence. "Never thought I would see a boy in Juleka's room" Adrien whipped around, tensing. He was out of his element and scared of being seen in some girls room. Even if both liked their same gender. His breath hitched and he was left without words. "Cat got your tongue?" Luka raised a 'brow at him, grinning. Adrien's face flushed as he hugged his bag to his chest. "I'm joking, you know. I know how she is. I didn't mean to scare you so bad" Luka dropped his arms, rubbing the upper part of his left arm. Those blues. He held so much emotion within them. Why did he feel so calm under his stare? Why did he feel like there was a secret mine hidden beneath an open cover? Adrien swallowed the lump within his throat and shook his head."Sorry... I uh.... cat? ... umm... ah-ha" Adrien laughed at himself. He had never been at a loss for words. Ever. Despite his father's cold shoulder, thousands of new faces, names, events, parties, meetings, activities, clubs at school, and just so many people; he had always handled the situation. He took control of everything. He was Chat-freaking-Noir; and yet... He couldn't say two, legible words to this man. Who. Was. He?
Okay, Agreste. Get yourself together. He's just some boy. Maybe Juleka's cousin or something. You've got this. You're a superhero. Get yourself together. Shape up! You've got this. Yeah. You've got this. There's nothing you can't handle.
"Ahem. Sorry. Just never... been in a girls room before. Didn't expect to be caught by her..." He cleared his throat, loosening his grip on his bed-for-the-night and raised his eye to meet Luka's. Luka laughed softly, his face showing his amusement. "Brother. Older brother." Luka filled in the gap, helping him out. He shifted on his feet, coming to his full height. He stood a good few inches taller than Adrien, and he could easily see that; even from the mild distance between them. Brother. Hah. Of course he would be brother, because why wouldn't he be? Well. That changed a lot. Plagg was going to have fun with this. "I'm Luka, by the way" "Adrien" Was all he could muster, trying to gain his bearings once again. What was he doing to him? "Agreste. Yes. I see you all over the city. Gotta say, never thought I would meet you, let alone in my baby sisters room" Luka chuckled dryly, as if the joke was only funny to himself. Probably was. He wasn't usually a funny guy. Adrien nodded, feeling silly. Of course he would have recognized him. Who didn't see his face on every other billboard, sign, or subway within the city? His father put his ad on everything. "Right. Father went overboard with that. I told him not to, but he never listens to me" Adrien's voice got quiet as he explained. Feeling like he needed to clear his name. "I didn't mean-" Luka started, but was cut off. "Luka? What are you doing?" Juleka's laugh died down as she came up on him, looking between the two boys. "I see you've met my brother" Juleka and Rose walked around the boy in mention, Juleka playfully nudging into him. Luka watched her for a moment before his eyes went back to the new blonde. "Alright, Luka. We have to finish getting ready. Out." Juleka placed the food on a pop-up table she had brought up from storage, before turning toward him. Luka glanced down at her, leaning back and pretending he couldn't move. "My body is too heavy. Gravity is pushing. Can't. Move. On. My. Own." Luka laughed softly before catching himself from falling when Juleka let go. "Okay. Okay. I'm going. Just no weird business" Luka joked."I can promise. In more ways than one." She beamed before closing the door on him. "Okay. The others should be here soon, so let's get set up. Couldn't pick a spot?" Rose spoke up after a moments silence. Adrien shook his head, still feeling like a blue-curtained gaze was all around him. This was so new. "I'll go here, Rose on that side, and Adrien you on the other" Juleka took charge, noticing how frazzled Adrien had become. She knew pieces of his story; He was a sheltered child who was never allowed out of the house until highschool; Of course he would be uncomfortable and unsure of what to do or how to handle any of it.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Idle chatter filled the room as everyone set up their sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, and cozied into their selected spaces. "How'd pretty boy get so lucky to spend the night with so many girls?" Alix questioned, pulling her blanket over her lap and getting comfortable. She grabbed a danish from the desert tray they were passing around. "He's one of my best friends. Besides, not like he would do anything. I trust him entirely." Rose gave a bright smile, squeezing Juleka's arm. They had had a conversation about it prior to inviting him. Juleka was on the fence about the whole idea, having a boy at a sleepover full of girls, but Rose calmed her nerves with one little sentence. --~☆~--
Rose giggled, covering her mouth with her hand as she did so.

"I mean, what if he just hits on everyone all night? He doesn't seem the kind, but..." Juleka shrugged in unknowing. She trusted him, she just wanted the night to go perfect. Rose grabbed her hands in her own and gave a light squeeze, rubbing the backs with her thumbs and gave a soft smile.

"Jule, the worst he'd hit on is Luka, and even then he's too shy"

At her words, Juleka's face twisted.

"He's gay" Rose said softly.
--~☆~--"Let's get games going" Mylene felt the tension in the air start getting thicker so, wanting to help distract from the fact there was a boy, she started getting the games set up as each took a team. They played several games through the time. Alix, Marinette, Aurore, and Alya won the first round, while Mylene, Juleka, Rose, and Adrien won the second. They were all having a good time, laughing and playfully getting competitive. "Let's get some food before the next game" Alix said as she pushed herself up off the ground and went to the food table; Taking turns getting a plate, as not to crowd the small area. As they did, Alya, being the friend she is, decided to try and help Marinette; who had been staring at Adrien the entire night. Unfortunately, fate almost seemed to work against her. "Where's your bathroom?" Adrien leaned into Juleka, not wanting to be loud. Juleka smiled and instructed him where to go. Adrien exited the room and started down the hall. Take a right, second door on the left, towards the end.As he walked he admired pictures on the wall, stopping briefly to glance at each. Juleka and Luka. The siblings and their mother. Luka smiling. Adrien found himself stopping at the particularly happy photo of the older male. Confused with his new found interest. He barely knew the guy and somehow, just from a brief sighting, he was having trouble getting the soft voice and those piercingly enchanting eyes out of his mind."Wow" Adrien turned his ear toward a soft melody floating through the hall. A beautiful tune that almost seemed to warm him. He turned away from the wall of memories and found himself going toward it. It was on the way to the bathroom, so he justified checking it out. Just before the bathroom was an ajar door with light illuminating the dark corridor, the music getting louder the closer he got. Whomever was playing was very talented on the guitar. To his surprising displeasure, the music stopped after only a few moments. The door to the room suddenly opened then, and Luka slammed into him. Adrien yelped and with his chat reflexes, clung onto the persons chest. He squeezed his eyes shut, unsure if they would remain standing or not. Luka was able to grab his arms and stable them both. Adrien could feel breath against his forehead as a soft chuckle brushed his face. A warm solid body pressed against his own. "What are you doing?" A soft, husky voice tickled Adrien's features, a hint of amusement was not missed. "I was looking for the bathroom when I heard-" Adrien started explaining, raising his eyes, finding the words fading when a pair of steel blues locked his emeralds into place. Luka smiled after a moment of silence, realizing the position they were still in; Luka had a grip on Adrien's forearms while Adrien had a death grip on the front of his shirt. Luka loosened his grip slowly, dropping his hands from the boy, his fingertips grazing the silken skin. Adrien swallowed hard as a shiver ran his spine, pulling his hands away quickly. "Did you like what you heard? I was just kinda free playing, ya know?" Luka spoke over his shoulder, walking back from where he came; The reason he was leaving forgotten. Adrien hesitated in the doorway. Having not been invited in, he didn't dare barge. He took in all the sights from the entrance. Luka lifted his guitar off his bed and set it in its stand, placing the pick in the holder on the wall. Once things were situated, he flopped down unceremoniously onto his bed. "So how's the sleepover? Jealous you get to be surrounded by girls" Luka laughed at himself, crossing his legs and sliding his arm under his head. Adrien felt a blush settle in his cheeks, shrugging. Did nothing for him to be surrounded by girls. "Living any guys dream" Adrien mentioned nonchalantly, glancing at the Ladybug and Chat Noir poster he had on the farthest wall; it seemed out of place. The rest were of Jagged stone and other rock bands. "Fan of Ladybugs?" Adrien asked, motioning to the poster with his chin. "Hmm?" He craned his head to look at the spotted heroine in question. "She's alright, but Chat's better."Adrien smiled."You can come in. I wont bite." Luka gave a friendly smile, pushing himself up onto his elbows.Adrien felt mildly awkward, he wasn't sure why he was here or how he got himself into this strange situation. Luka seemed to sense this, pushing himself up further so he could sit up and grab his guitar again; He never spent long periods of time without it in his hands. He started strumming a soft tune, something calming like his personality and luring like his eyes. Adrien sat on the corner of Luka's bed and listened to the melody, relaxing as the music enveloped him like a warm hug. This guy was good. Very good.Luka smiled as he watched Adrien visibly relax under his playing, every pick of a string being eyed. "I have to admit something" Luka spoke in a hushed volume, trying not to ruin the mood that had fallen over the two. "Mmm?" Adrien made a noise of acknowledgement, unsure of what he could admit. "When I first saw you in Jules' class, I thought you were like the rest of the wealthy. When I saw you in her bedroom, I half-expected you to be all over her. Gotta say, I'm relieved you're not" Luka subtly grinned, finishing his piece and resting his elbows on top of the guitar. "I better get back" Adrien motioned with his thumb toward Juleka's room. Luka nodded, wondering if he shouldn't have said that. ---Once done with the bathroom Adrien quickly passed Luka's room, noticing the door was completely shut and no music played on the other side. "Geez. Was about to send rescue after you. What took so long?" Juleka asked when Adrien took a seat beside her. "I was on my way when I heard a guitar playing and-" Adrien moved his hands as he talked, dropping them in his lap sheepishly; why had he stopped?
Because it was beautiful. Emotional. Raw and pure. Duh.
Adrien shook the thoughts out of his mind as he smiled bigger than a normal person. "Luka plays everything on that thing. He's always good at reading people and the mood. He used to always play for me when days were bad" Juleka smiled at him. Luka really seemed like a good guy. He certainly cared for his sister. "Game time but I have an idea, let's play Truth or Dare" Alya suddenly piped up, hushing everyone around her. "Nothing insane like last time. I think Roger nearly had an aneurysm when he was patrolling" Alix laughed at the memory.
"I dare you to run down the street and back, naked" Alya grinned wickedly. Alix had been teasing her about wimpy dares.

"What!?" Alix nearly shouted; but, she wasn't one to turn down a dare.

Alix stripped down au natural then bolted out the door. She ran down the street in the moonlight, her bare feet slapping against the concrete.

Roger, on foot patrol, turned the corner and narrowly missed slamming into the girl. His face beamed red as he felt like everything became a furnace within his body.

"Alix! Go home!" The officer demanded, closing and covering his eyes. Avoiding seeing any pieces of her at all costs.

Alix laughed as she turned around and returned to the ship.
"Just a friendly game" Alya held her hands up in defence. "Who wants to go first? No one? Okay, I'll ask first. Hmm..." She tapped her chin as if thinking about who her target would be. As if she didn't already know. "Adrien!" She smiled sweetly, feigning innocence. "Uh" He chuckled nervously, unsure what was going on in his friends mind. "Truth or dare?" He thought it over for a moment. "Dare""I dare you to kiss Marinette" Alya grinned in satisfaction."Alya!" Marinette hissed as her face turned red, covering her cheeks with her hands.Adrien shrugged before crawling to her sleeping bag and kissing her cheek with a peck. "That's cheating" Alya huffed.  "Alya" Rose stared at her until the brunette looked back. She shook her head. "What?" Alya sat back on her hands. "Your heart's in the right place, but your mind isn't" Rose said simply "What does that mean?" Alya was confused "You'll only get her hurt." Juleka whispered."How?" Even more confusedAlix looked at the two lovers then at Adrien. Adrien moved back to his spot beside Rose, glancing at the three girls when they all looked at him. "He's... not like other guys" Rose put it blankly. Adrien blushed. Alix watched in silence, curious now herself."He have a disease?" She spoke through the food in her mouth."No" Juleka grunted, Adrien placed his hand over hers and squeezed gently. Looking down at the tanned hand, their conversation from days ago played within her mind. --~☆~--
"Julesy, Rosey, can I ask you guys a question?" Adrien pushed away from the science book upon her desk, unable yo focus on studying a practice quiz. It was boring and his mind was cluttered.

"Anything. What's up?" She played with a lollipop that was in her mouth, laying on her stomach on her bed with her own science book sprawled out in front of her. Rose leaned against her back with her legs bent at her side.
"H-how did you... uhm... tell... that you're uhm... well, you know.. " He fumbled with his words. The question was clear in his mind, but when it came to getting the words out it suddenly seemed as if his tongue couldn't work. A limp noodle within his mouth. Useless.
Juleka perked up. Rose closed her book and turned to face him.

"Do you mean that we're..?" Juleka motioned between herself and Rose. Adrien nodded.

"Huh. Well, I've known Rose all my life. We've gone to the same school forever. We didn't really hang out until Highschool and we were both way too shy. One day Luka was needing help with his band for a contest, and we both offered to help without hesitation. Rose was there for me and Luka. Without missing a beat. I never really knew I was into girls, into Rose, until I saw her stand up there with me. After that I made Luka help me get her" Juleka smiled as Rose laid a hand on her back with a smile on her own face.

"Why?"

Adrien got up from the chair and started pacing the floor. Back and forth. Stopping in front of the girls and taking a deep breath.

"I've never told a soul in my entire life, but you girls mean everything to me. Here it goes: I'm gay" Adrien turned to them, putting his arms out as if presenting himself for the very first time.

Juleka pushed herself up to sit on her knees.

"We're so proud of you!" They pulled him into a tight hug, Rose giggling.

"We knew" She nuzzled into his shoulder.

--~☆~--
Adrien blushed heavily, looking over to Rose for comfort. She squeezed his hand. He had wanted to come out, but he would never do it himself, and she knew that. If they had to pave the road for him to finally take that last step, they would. They knew their friends, and they knew he needed this. To finally be free. Adrien took a deep breath in and steadied himself, looking from Rose to Juleka. "I know you like me, Marinette, and I'm sorry. I'm not oblivious at all to it, I never have been. I just couldn't say thi before. The fact is..." He paused, nibbling his lip. "Im gay" He felt his eyes water. A mixture of relief and fear mingling into one. A few light gasps were heard. Rose threw her arms around him in a big hug. Juleka joined in on the hug. Then Alix, Mylene, Marinette, Alya, and Aurore. For the second time in his life, he felt a genuine freedom.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Adrien watched his breath puff out in the early morning. Spring was coming to an end and he couldn't wait for warm weather; how he hated being cold. Pulling his coat in tighter, he tried to make himself smaller. Anything that would make the chill in his bones go away. The snow was falling softly down around the city of Paris as he walked, staring at the ground. In his distractions, he didn't see the person in front of him until it was too late. "Hnng" Adrien squeaked as he collided with a solid wall of a person; He stumbled as he tried to catch his balance. The other person reacted quickly, grabbing him by the arms. "We must stop meeting like this" Luka chuckled ever-so-lightly as the corner of his lips curled upward. Adrien's head snapped up at the familiar tone. "Luka! I'm sorry!" Adrien deeply apologized, his damned luck. "It's nothing. What are you doing out in the cold?" His tone was curious with a hint of scorn. Adrien shrugged, glancing away for a moment before looking back up. "Just had to get out. What are you doing out?" "Helping with Spring decorating, but I must admit that this isn't fun with the storm coming. Want someone to walk with you?" Adrien felt his cheeks flush even deeper, as the cold wind whipped against his face. Thankful that the bitterness hid the real reason behind the rouge. He felt the grip still on his arms, remaining still. He felt a sudden disappointment wash through him when the hands slowly released him. "Yeah, I'd like that" Adrien started walking again, not entirely sure where they would walk in this weather; but he had to admit, it was nice not doing it alone.  "So, tell me. How'd you get away from your body guard?" Luka broke the silence as he fell into step beside his newly found friend. It had been three months since he had properly met the blonde, and he only had seen him here-and-there when Juleka had him over; which had not been often when he was home.  "He can't run" Adrien chuckled, giving a bashful grin. He felt bad for the Gorilla in that moment as he was simply doing his job, but Adrien just needed to get away; he couldn't handle the suffocation of always being supervised. Luka laughed out loud, turning his face and biting his lip to stop it. "That will do it. Hey, look, it's Andre. Wanna grab something?" Luka noticed the small cart on the sidewalk across the street, selling hot chocolate and other warm beverages. Nothing sounded better.  "Yees!" Adrien checked for safety before quickly running across the street, taking Luka by surprise at the excitement. Luka followed him a few moments later and stood beside as they were greeted warmly by the friendly vendor. "Ahh. New faces!" Andre joked, smiling widely to the pair. "Can we get two hot chocolates please?" Luka ordered after a few moments of them debating on what to pick, reaching into his pocket to pay. Adrien watched in mild awe, his offer to pay being turned down. Nobody had ever bought him anything."Love is strong in the cold. I sense a burning within you. Enjoy this concoction and with it, give fire to the embers that are begging in your heart, for they deserve to love." Andre smiled as he added different powders and mixtures within thr travel mug, handing it to Adrien once mastered. Adrien's 'brows rose in surprise, his eyes sparkling with wonder. Andre truly was a mastermind. He started to wonder whether it truly was possible for him to find and deserve love. The hope paved a path he had long thought dead. Sipping the rich chocolate that warmed from his throat down to his stomach, Adrien groaned in happiness, watching as Luka waited for his turn. Andre stared at the punk-rocker with a flustered expression. His eyes becoming sad. "Andre struggles. Within you is so silent. Do you not love?" He searched deep within his mind, but alas, could not find the line. No love swirled within the young boy. Not one ounce. "With your work, one day I will" Luka smiled charmingly. After a moments pause, Andre worked on the cup in silence. It had been many years since he was at a loss for words, and he quite frankly felt miserable. It made him feel out of place. "One day, child. You will." Andre handed the cup over and waved off payment. "Take the drinks and ponder it. Use Andre's mix to fill your heart. Love exists!" Andre suddenly spoke above a normal tone as he threw his hands in the air. Going from glum to hopeful. His excitement infectious. Luka walked up to Adrien and they silently fell into step together. After a few moments Adrien broke the silence, questions swirling his brain."Andre couldn't find anything in you?" Adrien sipped his drink, staring forward as he asked. Curious."Hmm? Oh, no. There is nothing" Luka glanced over at him as he drank his own. A thick chocolate with swirls of cinnamon and other spices. Adrien wanted to question him, find out what he meant. There was no way someone could have absolutely no love within them at all, was there? Before he could say anything, however, a small familiar car waited down the street to turn the corner. "Luka!" Adrien exclaimed anxiously. Luka stopped suddenly at the arm across his abdomen, looking from it to the direction Adrien did. The bodyguard. "Follow me" Luka grabbed a hold of the wrist in front of him and bolted. Adrien stumbled, but quickly corrected himself and fell into step behind Luka, laughing softly as they ran through the park in attempts of not being seen.As they ran, Adrien blushed while looking down at the hand wrapped around his own; thinking how he must be dreaming. Luka turned around mid-run and talked as he continued moving with stepping backward. He laughed softly about having run away like a child."Do you want me to take you home from here or let you go alone?" 'No. Come with me. Be with me.' The thoughts popped into his mind within seconds. How he wanted to tell Luka the truth, but he knew he couldn't. He would need to act normal. He couldn't risk losing him, not now. "I should be okay from here. Thank you, Luka. I better get back before they return." Adrien smiled at him, his entire face lighting up. He pulled his hand from Luka's and hated the cold that replaced it. "I understand. Maybe I'll see you sometime" Luka tucked his hands into his jacket pockets, giving a friendly smile. 'Hopefully earlier than later' No!'I'd love that' Not that either."I'm hanging out with Julesy tomorrow, so maybe. Thanks again for wasting time with me, Luka. Was fun. I'll see you later" Adrien waved as he ran down the road toward his home. Luka watched his retreating back, waving in return. -----Juleka laid on her bed staring up at the ceiling. Her head rested on Rose's lap as she read a book and leaned back against the wall. Adrien pushed himself up out of the wheeling chair at the desk. He walked over and flopped down on his stomach beside Juleka. "Hey, Jules? Can I ask you a question?" Adrien rested his head on his hand, staring at her. She put her phone down and glanced at him, Rose turning her nose from her book. "Anything. What's up?" "Luka and I got hot chocolate last week and Andre couldn't find anything in him. I asked him when we walked away, and he confirmed there's nothing. What does that mean?" Adrien was genuinely curious. He didn't know why he was, but he was. He needed answers. As broken as his life had always been and bad people were, there was one thing he always felt he should be able to rely on. One thing that he felt he would achieve one day; love. "Luka... well... " Juleka used her elbows to push herself into a sitting position, watching Adrien. Trying to find the right words. She exhaled heavily. "He doesn't believe in love" Adrien felt a sudden jab in his gut. Unsure what it was. "What!? Why?" Rose asked, flabbergasted."When Luka and I were children, my parents split up. My father traveled land a lot, and my mother the sea. I was kept away from it all, because Luka used to see and hear it. He wanted to keep me safe, so any time he knew they were getting worked up, he would take me away. So I'm not traumatized from any of it. He watched them fight over where they would live, who got what kid, where they would rather travel, and all the little details. He was broken from it all. When they finally decided enough was enough, that they just wouldn't work for each other, they split. My mother took me and my father took Luka, for schooling. That's why most of our friends don't know Luka. We would get summers together, though. Off track. Anyways, Luka watched it all wither away. Everything. He convinced himself that if it couldn't work for our parents, then how could it ever work for him? He believed the fighting, breaking, tearing a family apart was not worth going through when he was ready for love. So, after that, he swore he would never love. He would never believe in it; and, he never did. He refused to date. You need to promise me, you will never try to love Luka. He's amazing, but I don't want him to hurt you." Juleka stared him in the eye, taking his hands into her own. Adrien was at a loss for words. He didn't believe in love? At all? And here Juleka was, making him promise he could never have him? Fate really was a cruel, cruel mistress."I promise" Adrien gave a small smile. Couldn't be too hard not to love him. Could it?

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Ladybug twirled her yo-yo once she came to a halt, having slid across the rooftop. There was a herd of mini minions fighting the rest of her crew: Rena Rouge grunted being slammed onto the ground, Carapace flew across the street below, Chat Noir leapt over a light pole flying at him, and Viperion swung a fanged dagger at one charging him. She focused her attention back on the culprit of all the destruction and chaos. He was a younger teen boy who had gotten furious at his mother for taking his games away, due to bad grades. He was going by the name Monopolizer and he was playing games with everyone; making the heroes his characters. Ladybug flipped over his head, wrapped him with her yo-yo then swept her leg under him, dropping him to his knees. "Viperion! Destroy the controller!" Ladybug yelled out to him. Viperion kicked back the small guy running towards him before charging towards the kid. Viperion slammed into the hand that clutched the controller, bumping it free and watching as it skid across the pavement. Running toward it before anything could grab it, Viperion stomped it, effectively crushing it to pieces. A black butterfly flew out and into the sky. Ladybug released Monopolizer before capturing the tainted bug in her yo-yo and purifying it. "Miraculous Ladybug!" As millions of tiny ladybugs scattered across Paris and fixed all the damages, Ladybug and Viperion jumped down to join the others. "Good job, everyone! He was a toughy!" Ladybug giggled.Chat Noir landed a few feet from her, smiling big. "Thank you, M'lady" He scooped her hand into his, gently placing a kiss on the back of it. The actions earning glares from Viperion. "How many times does she have to reject you before you finally stop?" Viperion crossed his arms over his chest, standing tall a short distance from the pair. They both stared at him in surprise. For unknown reasons to Chat Noir, Viperion did not like him. "Take it easy, you over sized pool noodle. I'm just being friendly. I don't like her in that way." Chat Noir rolled his eyes, crossing his own arms. "What did you call me!?" Viperion yelled in agitation, taking steps towards Chat. Ladybug jumped in quickly, putting her arms up to keep both of them away from each other. "Would you two stop it! There's no point in fighting!" She glared at them both, disliking the hatred that they seemed to share for each other. She had known Chat for many years, and knew Viperion outside of the costume. Both were amazing people, and so the fighting always blew her mind.
Beep. Beep.
Chat Noir glanced down at his ring, grumbling. "Until next time, linguine" Chat Noir gave a two finger salute from his temple, jumping away to safely transform. Viperion could feel his temple tick. That blasted cat. ~☆~Adrien tried to think of any reasons he could possibly have for not liking him. Perhaps Viperion wanted Ladybug, and he was jealous? It was the only thing he could come up; nothing else made sense. He was charming. Shaking away the thoughts, Adrien knocked at Juleka's front door. Moments later it opened to a familiar face. "Hey. What's up?" He smiled "Uh, not much. Is Jules home?" Adrien asked shyly, looking away. Luka grinned. "No, she went to get Rose. You can come in though and wait" Luka offered, stepping aside to let the other in if he desired. "Thanks" Adrien took the offer, ignoring the fact he was staying simply for Luka at this point. Luka closed the door once Adrien was completely inside. "Can I get you anything?" Luka offered, walking toward the kitchen. "No thank you, I'm alright." Adrien blushed lightly, taking a seat on the couch and waited for Luka to return. Luka placed a water bottle in front of the other before sitting down on the cushion beside Adrien. "In case you change your mind, is all" Luka gave him a soft smile, leaning back into the couch as he chugged half of his own bottle. "You look flustered" Adrien mused, Luka eyed him for a moment. Luka had been in a mood since the battle, and he had not realized it was still hanging on. "I'm alright. Just something ridiculous" Luka shrugged it off, giving Adrien a reassuring smile. Adrien didn't know what was stirring within him, but Luka arose emotions within him he didn't know existed. Ignoring it, Adrien nodded. "I'm here if you ever need an ear" Luka smiled again, thanking him for his offer. "So, mister model, what do you do when you're not working?" Luka asked curiously, watching him squirm a bit under his gaze. "Uh... well, I don't have a lot of down time really, but I like to hang out with friends" Adrien looked away, fearing his reply was too normal and boring. If Luka thought so, he certainly didnt say anything. Instead he smiled and leaned back. "I'm glad. Jules seems a lot happier since you've come around. You seem like a good guy" Luka watched him blush, turning his head and staring for a moment. "T-thank you. Hah." Adrien smiled nervously, he sure wasn't used to Luka's ability to speak what was on his mind, but he sure did like it. "So... um... What about you?" Adrien asked through his nervousness, Luka shifted beside him. The calmness radiating from him eased Adrien. "My favorite thing is to play my guitar." Luka rested his head on his hand.Falling into idle chatter, he watched as Adrien eased around him, his shoulders relaxing as his anxiousness washed away, smiling more. "What are you doing this weekend?" Luka asked, taking Adrien by surprise. "Probably will be here" Adrien chuckled, Luka grinned. "Do you wanna hang with me instead?" Luka stretched his legs out in front of him. "Y-yeah, sure" Adrien smiled. "Hey you two" Juleka popped up behind the couch, leaning on her elbows on the back, a soft smile on her face: ruffling Adrien's hair. Tipping his head back, Adrien smiled up to her."We'll be in my room when you're done here." Juleka pointed over her shoulder with her thumb. "Okay. I'll be there in a minute." Adrien replied, watching her nod before pushing herself up and walking away. "How'd you guys become friends anyways?" Luka watched his sister for a moment, turning his attention back to Adrien. "There's a girl in my class who I've known most of my life and she's quite overbearing. She likes me and is very clingy. She demanded I do things with her and I couldn't take everything anymore, so I was in a bad mood. Rose and I shared a class and she asked me how I was, and we got to talking. Where you get Rose, you get Juleka, so we eventually became friends." Adrien recanted the memory, watching the other nod. "Thanks for keeping me company, Luka. I appreciate it. I should go." Adrien stood, Luka making a noise in agreement. "See ya, Adrien." Luka watched him. "See ya, Luka." Adrien smiled, heading off toward Juleka's room. "Hey" Rose's bubbliness greeted him when he entered, the two girls intertwined with each other against the head board. "Sure you guys don't want some privacy?" Adrien teased playfully, Rose giggling as Juleka blushed lightly. "You two seemed rather chatty out there." Juleka teased in return. It was Adrien's turn to blush, looking away. "He's really easy to talk to. He's unbelievably kind." Adrien walked over to the bed, sitting on the corner before laying back. "He's always been like that. We're completely opposites when it comes to that." Juleka stated, glancing at Adrien as he stared up at the ceiling. "Do you like him?" Rose asked suddenly. Adrien covered his face with his arm. "Im trying not to, but..." Adrien sighed. "Is it because of what I said?" Juleka questioned, pulling herself from her girlfriend before moving closer, peeking down at him. "Yeah. I don't want to go against your wishes." Adrien moved his arm, looking up into her eyes. She smiled warmly. "It's okay, Adrien. I just don't want to see you get hurt by liking someone who is unlikely to ever return the feelings. I know he wouldn't ever willingly hurt you. You can crush on him if you want to." Juleka sat back on her butt, crossing her legs. "Do you think there would ever be a chance? Even a little?" Adrien turned onto his side, propping his head on his hand. "It's not impossible. People surprise me all the time." Juleka smiled, glancing at Rose who returned her smile. Rose grabbed Juleka's hand and squeezed it. "He's just..." Adrien sighed dreamily, a smile forming on his face. "Oh, he's smitten" Rose giggled, Adrien blushed. "If ever he could return the feelings, you guys would be perfect together." Juleka smiled. Adrien looked away. ~☆~Adrien ascended the stairs leading up to his home, his heart feeling full, a light smile playing on his lips. For the first time since he could remember, he felt genuinely happy. His entire being feeling content with every thought running through his mind. Nathalie greeted him when he crossed the threshold. "Hello, Adrien. Your father would like you to join him at the table once you've freshened up." Nathalie spoke as she pushed her glasses up her nose, clipboard in her other hand. "Really?" Adrien asked, not bothering to hide his surprise. "Yes." Adrien washed his hands, drying them thoroughly as Plagg floated in front of him. "What do you think he wants?" Plagg asked, Adrien took a moment before replying. "Im not sure, he hasn't wanted to eat with me in months now." Adrien zoned out momentarily while drying his hands. "Here." Adrien held a piece of camembert up for Plagg to take before he left his room. "Ooo" Plagg lit up, happily engulfing the cheese right from Adrien's hand. Adrien chuckled, patting the tiny creatures head. When he entered the dining room, Adrien was surprised to see his father already seated at the table. "Hello, father." Adrien greeted. "Adrien, there you are. Please, join me. I've had a free period come and I'd like to spend time with you." Gabriel stated, ushering toward the chair across from him. Adrien was in shock as he approached the chair in mention, taking a seat and staring across the table at his father. "So... um... How are the fashion shows?" Adrien asked, trying to find a topic to speak with his father about; knowing fashion was one of the only things the other would be willing to socialize on. "Well enough. Speaking of, you have a last moment scheduling for a fashion show this weekend. Do make sure to pencil it in, Nathalie will provide further details." Gabriel stated, thanking the individual who brought out their food. 'This weekend? No. Luka.' Adrien dropped his eyes as disappointment crept at the corners of his mind. He knew if he tried to bring it up or complain whatsoever, that his father would go on a tangent. 'Adrien Agreste! I will not have you complaining about opportunities laid out in front of you! Your face is the next icon of Paris. I've raised you better than this, or do you need to return to lessons on manners? I knew those friends of yours were bad influences. You never complained until they came into your life'. Adrien shuddered at the play through in his mind. Just the sheer thought of it all exhausted him. So, for peace of mind and his sanity, he opted to remain silent on it all, complaining only within his mind. "Understood, father." Adrien quietly dejected. "Adrien." Gabriel drew the name out, causing the boy in question to stiffen; preparing himself for what he knew was to come. "Do not mumble, sit up straight, and stop playing with your food. Eat." Gabriel nit-picked every piece of Adrien within seconds. Adrien pulled into himself, instinctively listening to all that was told to him as he felt his body straighten up and food being brought to his mouth, before his brain could thoroughly process what was going on; shutting down to save his already fragile heart. Silence fell between them as Adrien lost all of his interest in communicating with his father. Within mere seconds his excitement to see the man turned into wishing something, anything, would make it so he could return to his room. His mind wandering towards dashing through the city as Chat Noir, his escape, his reprieve from the mundane and loneliness of his average life. His freedom. His chance at finally being seen for more than what he had or appeared to be. The television upon the wall played the news, droning on in the background about the weather, happenings within the city, mentions of Ladybug and Chat Noir with their comrades, and then the man caught Adrien's ear. "Stay tuned, after the break we'll be going to Nadja who will be covering the plannings and events being prepared for this falls pride celebrations." Adrien turned his head, looking towards the television with a sense of hope filling his heart. Happiness over celebrations coming up. "Ugh. Nathalie, turn that off immediately." Gabriel quickly demanded, placing his fork down. Dabbing his mouth with a napkin, he visibly grimaced with disdain and disgust. "Can't believe the entire country has gone absolutely mad with this nonsense. Despicable. Can you believe anyone would choose to follow such disgusting and repugnant beliefs. I just..." Gabriel shook his head, placing the napkin down, watching as Nathalie rushed to turn the device off. Adrien inwardly flinched, an ache beginning in his heart and radiating across his chest. Gripping his hands tightly beneath the table, he fought desperately to keep the tears that threatened to fall. Dropping his head, he attempted to keep his face from his father's view, knowing that every piece of him would be giving away his devastation. The ringing of Gabriel's phone was a welcoming sound for Adrien, a temporary relief washing over his shoulders. "Hello? Yes. Okay, one moment." Gabriel answered the phone, nodding his head before pushing his chair back as he stood. Placing the phone against his chest momentarily, he briefly turned his words towards Adrien without glancing his way. "I must take this. Work matters. Excuse me." Gabriel walked away without another word, bringing his phone back to his ear and resuming the conversation. With his father gone, Adrien shoved his chair back and ran out of the room. Avoiding Nathalie and ignoring anything around him. Skipping stairs as he booked it upstairs, he wasted no time in slamming his door behind him and leaning against it. Once in the solice of his room, he couldn't hold back any longer, the pain, disappointment, devastation, and unintended insults flung his way hitting like an overwhelming wave at shore, sweeping him away into the currents. Dropping his back against the wood, Adrien clutched his chest, sliding down until his butt hit the floor. Pulling his legs into himself, he laid his head against his knees and sobbed into them. The warm streams flowed down his cheeks, soaking his pants. His breath turning his chest ragged."Hey, kid" Plagg spoke softly, hugging his wrist. Adrien didn't move, just gripped his head tight. "Let me help you. Just give me the command." Plagg nuzzled, doing his best to try and ease the others pain. Chat brought Adrien a happiness that Plagg had never seen before. Plagg would be the first to admit he wasn't good with words, even worse with good advice. He hadn't been created to be a positive and knowledgeable creature. His entire purpose was to be the destructive and chaotic portion of balance. The dark to Tikki's light. Giving someone positivity, help, and aid wasn't in his books. The only way he knew how to lend a hand on lifting Adrien's spirits, was to give him the ability to get away from it all. To taste freedom and let the night air of Paris dry his tears and possibly lift his spirits. "Plagg" Adrien sniffled, whispering the name. "Im here, kiddo." Plagg responded quietly. "Claws out." Adrien said sadly, feeling himself transform. Wandering towards the windows, Chat Noir stared up at the panes. Lightning crackled across the skies, lighting them up for a split second before returning them to darkness. Rain pattered against the glass, wetting his hand when he opened the window. Jumping up onto the ledge, Chat Noir stared out at the city. Tears pricked at his eyes again as the words replayed in his mind. Letting the pain fuel him, Chat jumped and ran across the rooftops across the city. The rain and tears wetting his face. When he finally stopped running, he looked around at his surroundings. Gasping softly. His heart had led him to the only place he knew would ease the aches. The only place that he knew he would be capable of breaking down and having the release his sorrows would need. The couffaine house. Staring at the ship, he felt his shoulders slump. Turning, he jumped up to the nearest building and sat on the roof. Using the back of his wrist to vainly wipe at his face. "What are you doing here?" Chat Noir jumped at the sudden voice behind him, whirling around, he instinctively grasped his baton. His eyes expertly found the person within the darkness, Viperion. "What do you want?" Chat asked, his voice hoarse. Viperion drew back, surprise etching it's way to his face. "Are you... crying?" Viperion asked hesitantly, slowly approaching Chat. "Psh, no." Chat turned back around, turning his head away from the other as he squatted beside him. Viperion grabbed ahold of Chat's chin with his finger, yanking his face to look back at him. It was Chat's turn to show his surprise. Staring up at the teal hero, he didn't fight, too curious of what the other was up to. "What-?" Chat began quietly, his green orbs searching the blues. "You look like hell, Chat." Viperion spoke with a hint of sadness to his words. His thumb rubbing the tip of Chat's chin. Chat Noir was at a loss for words, the breath he didn't know he was holding escaping him in a light gasp. "What happened?" Viperion watched as the question sunk in, Chat's demeanor changing. Pain and sadness flickering through his eyes. "My father... he..." Chat began, the wound being picked at again. The fresh marks upon his heart barely having had enough time to stop bleeding, being prodded at once again. Chat dropped his eyes from Viperion's, sniffling back the urge to cry as the nights events played over in his mind. Viperion waited silently, wanting to hear. "He's distant, cold, doesn't care about me. Tonight he indirectly insulted and destroyed a piece of me." Chat admitted, the tears warming trails through the cold. Viperion watched him, his face twisting in the pain he felt for his team mate. He had never seen Chat as anything but happy, smiling, and energetic. To see him breaking down and crying, filled with pain, hurt him to the core. "Then he doesn't deserve you, Chat. You're amazing, kind, and the best hero Paris has ever had. Whatever that monster has said or done to you, you didn't deserve it." Viperion dropped his hand from Chat's chin, grasping Chat's hand into both of his, squeezing around it. Chat sniffled, giving a small saddened smile at the words. "Thank you, Viperion. I gotta say, I'm surprised you're capable of being nice." Chat chuckled through the tears. Viperion grinned, looking Chat over. The rain had plastered his hair down around his face, the tears and crying turning his face red. "I can't fight you if you're already down." Viperion claimed, sitting down beside Chat. "Why do you hate me?" Chat glanced at him, thankful for the distraction. "I dont hate you, Chat." Viperion stated, shifting a little, swinging his legs slowly. "Then why do you keep being mean to me?" Chat questioned, watching the other stare straight out over the water. "Jealousy." Viperion stated simply, taking Chat by surprise once again. "Jealous? Of what?" Chat prodded, needing to know. "The attention you give Ladybug. You flirt with her every time you're around her." Viperion turned his eyes back to Chat, giving him a small smile and tipping his head a little. Chat's eyes widened marginally, his mouth opening in surprise. "I dont like her like that, I will stop if you want her." Chat offered, shrugging. Viperion chuckled softly, bumping his shoulder into Chat's gently. "Oh, Chat." Viperion laughed, climbing to his feet. He turned and offered his hand out to Chat. Staring at the hand for a moment, he slipped his into it and let the other pull him to his feet. "I wish it were easier to help you, Chat. I can only do so much as Viperion." Viperion pulled Chat to his chest, wrapping his arms around Chat's torso and squeezing him in his embrace. Chat gasped softly in his surprise, feeling the solid chest against his cheek. Regaining his composure, he slipped his arms around Viperion's back and hugged him tightly in return. "Thank you, Viperion." Chat spoke quietly. "Whatever he said or did to you, just know that we're always here for you. So, please, don't let him or anyone destroy the incredible person you are." Viperion squeezed him once more before letting him go. "I know you wont want to, but you should go back. It's getting late." Viperion gently nudged Chat's chin with his knuckle. "You should too. Thank you for spending time with me. Wait... how did you know I was here?" Chat looked up at him, with Viperion standing a few inches taller than himself. "I saw you outside of my window moving around." Viperion chuckling softly. "Goodnight, Chat." Viperion smiled"Goodnight, Viperion." Chat smiled warmly, turning and jumping across the buildings, making his way back to his house. Viperion watched him jump until his darkened figure disappeared into the night. His heart ached for the other, wishing he could ease all of his burdens. Turning, Viperion dropped from the building and went back home through his window. Chat dropped in through his window, closing it behind him before dropping his transformation. Plagg groaned, floating up to Adrien's head. "So. Hungry." Plagg whined as he fell limp in the air, hugging his stomach. Adrien walked to the stash he kept hidden of Camembert cheese, pulling out a piece and handing it to his Kwami. Plagg happily munched away. Adrien gave a small smile, scratching Plagg's cheek before dipping into the bathroom and returning with a towel. Drying his hair, face, and neck. Once dry, he climbed into his bed and relaxed into the blankets. The ache still throbbed inside of him, but much more dull than it had been. He knew it would stay for a long time, if not forever, but he was thankful for Viperion having shown up. The image of Viperion's smile playing through his mind, helped keep his mind from returning to the depressive thoughts that lurked in the shadows. "Feeling better?" Plagg dropped into the pillow a few inches from Adrien's face, rubbing his now full belly as he began passing gas from top and bottom. "Ugh. Plagg! If you're going to sleep in my bed, you can't be doing that." Adrien plugged his nose with one hand while the other did it's best to wave away the stench. "Get used to it." Plagg spoke with a hint of amusement behind his words. "Yes, I do feel better. Thank you, Plagg. Turning to Chat was a great idea." Adrien curled into his pillow, yawning widely. "Good." Plagg wrapped himself around Adrien's nose and cuddled up. Adrien glared at him, about ready to scold him until he heard the soft snores. Sighing softly, he closed his eyes and relaxed. ~☆~Viperion dropped transformation, wiping his face dry before collapsing into his bed. He wished he could have Chat with him, to make him happy, to make him feel better, to make him know he was cared about and seen. Even if only for a short while before he returned back to reality, back to his father and all that he was being put through. Lying in bed, staring up at the ceiling, Luka put his arm behind his head and let his mind wander to the leather-clad hero. He wondered if he would be able to see him more, outside of battles, under better circumstances and happier occasions. ~☆~Adrien groaned as he climbed out of bed, his muscles and joints aching. A knock at the door brought his attention to the voice calling through. "Adrien. Your father won't be able to make it to breakfast with you." Nathalie's voice carried through, muffled by the door. Adrien sighed, lying his face back on the bed as he bent over the side. Parts of him were thankful, he wasn't sure he would be able to face his father right now, needing some time away from the cold-hearted monster he was showing himself to be. Other parts wished his father would care, would have some decency as a parent and actually wish to spend time with his own son; not prefer solitude or work day in and day out. Making his way to the bathroom, Adrien grabbed his clothes before hopping in the shower. The hot water sending his tensions down the drain. The more he thought on it, the more he was thankful he wouldn't have to try and be around Gabriel. The pain, not even twenty four hours old, was still too much. Although it was easing, it was still painful. Once finished, dried, and clothed, Adrien fixed his hair as he checked himself out in the mirror. Plagg popped up, watching him tend to his daily hygiene necessities. "Looking good, kid. Today's a new day." Plagg landed on his shoulder, waiting for his food. "Thanks, Plagg" Adrien smiled to him through the reflection, leaving the bathroom and grabbing a piece of cheese. Once Plagg had his fill and hidden away, Adrien went downstairs. The house was quiet. Nathalie, the gorilla, and his father were all gone. Walking along the table, his fingers grazed the woods surface, his mind travelling back to a time when his home was filled with warmth, happiness, and laughter. The kitchen would be bustling with noise as his mother danced around it, waiting on the timers to ding. She'd pull Adrien along with her, as he did his own little dance. Her smile brightened the room when she'd lift a successful dish up out of the oven, displaying it to Adrien like a prized possession waiting to go to show; telling him, 'shh, don't tell dad, you're the first to see this beauty' with a wink. The table filled with family and friends, all chatting away about lifes endeavors. The house filled with the scent of lilacs and berries. The walls adorned with decorative pieces, pictures, and every few days they would alternate to newer evidence of their adventures. But now... Adrien paused his step, the sound echoing through the hall. There was no scent of his mother's soft perfume, just pungent sterilizers. There were no decorations upon the walls, just barren wallpaper. Pictures had ceased to exist, just the ones his mother had last hung, a bitter reminder of what no longer existed; collecting dust and age. The music had faded, no notes lingering in the night air for him to hum along to. The dancing had halted, no feet gliding across the tile, with tiny ones doing their best to tag along. When his mother had departed from this world, so too did the magic. The life. To him, it felt akin to the moon being plucked from the sky, a lone wolf staring up every night begging everything in life to let it shine brightly again, if even just for one more night. Closing his eyes for a moment, Adrien grimaced and sighed. Had he known back when, that the notes fluttering through the nights breeze, to find his welcoming ear, a smile rivaling the sun that was unwavering in every day, the laughter would all leave his life, he'd have listened intently for a few more minutes. He'd have asked for one more song. Taken her hand for one last dance. Stared at that smile that felt like warm embrace through the frigid cold. Adrien pushed the thoughts aside, heading towards the front door. Grabbing his bag and slipping his shoes on, he wondered where The Gorilla had gone. Nathalie and his father were often away, with his father being ghastly busy, and Nathalie being his assistant, but rarely to never was his body guard not waiting for him at the front door; grunting and groaning that Adrien lolly-gagged about as he got ready. Opting to not complain, Adrien walked out the door and down the stairs. The walk to school would help to clear his mind and do his best to make sense of all the mess that had become his life. The autumn's crisp wind caressed his face with a sharpened touch, driving him to tuck into himself to get away from it. Regret over not grabbing a thicker coat setting in. Just a few more blocks and he would be at school, he would just need to power through. Shifting his backpack up his shoulder more, he tucked his hands into his pockets to try and utilize the body heat from his legs and keep his hands out of the wind. Mildly successful. It would do. "Hey, stranger" A voice called a greeting to Adrien from behind. Turning to see who it was, Adrien smiled. "Hey, Luka" Adrien waited as Luka caught up, the two beginning to walk together. "You look cold." Luka observed, eying him over. "Didn't bother looking to see the weather." Adrien chuckled in his mild embarrassment over being ill-prepared for the temperature. "Here" Luka pulled his sweatshirt off, holding it out for Adrien to take. "Huh?" Adrien looked down at the cloth being held in front of his chest, Luka's scent faintly drifting off of it. "But you'll get cold." Adrien commented, attempting to reject the offer. "I have one in my bag, just take it." Luka smiled, pressing it to Adrien then letting go. Adrien failed slightly as the hoodie began falling, grasping at it quickly to keep it from falling to the ground as it slid against him. "Are you sure?" Adrien asked once again, not wishing to burden his friend. "Yes, just put it on." Luka ordered softly, bumping into his shoulder playfully. Adrien glared at him with a small smile pulling at his lips. "Thank you" Adrien stopped walking for a moment to place his bag on the ground. Pulling the hoodie over his head, Adrien's senses immediately became filled with the mingling of Luka's scents. His detergent and the cologne he chose that day. The warmth of the hoodie enveloped him, nipping away at the chill that had settled in his bones. Adrien quietly breathed in deep, taking in the scent of sandalwood and amber. "What are friends for? I can't watch you suffer and do nothing." Luka smiled as he finished pulling his spare sweatshirt on, the both of them pulling their backpacks up their arms and continuing on their walk to school. "Alright, everyone, settle down. Quiet, quiet. Today's lessons will..." Adrien half-listened as the teacher began talking, his chin resting on his hand. "Psst" The sound gaining his attention from his left. Turning his attention to his best friend, his brow rose. "What?" Adrien whispered, not wishing to interrupt the teacher or be scolded for being caught talking during lessons. "What'ch'ya doing tomorrow after school, dude?" Nino whispered, leaning toward him to guarantee he could hear him. "Nothing that I know of, why?" Adrien questioned, eyeing him curiously. Nino shrugged. "Just wondering. Hey, since you aren't busy, wanna come to the summit with us?" Nino asked, leaning on his arm to match Adrien. "The summit?" Adrien asked with uncertainty, he had heard of it in passing over time, but he had never been there himself. "Yeah, a nice lookout over the city in the mountains. Beautiful this time of year. I think you'll like it. Besides, it gets you out of the house." Nino explained, watching Adrien's eyes flicker between emotions and thoughts. "Okay, yeah, I'll go." Adrien smiled. "Mr. Agreste and Mr. Lahiffe. Is there something you wish to share with the class, since you two can't seem to quit your chatting?" Madame Bustier questioned, the backs of her hands propped on her hips in her frustrations. "No, Madame Bustier. We're sorry." Nino and Adrien spoke in unison, both slinking back in their seats. "That's what I thought. Now, pay attention. Both of you!" Madame Bustier gave them each a pointed stare before turning back to the lessons she had been giving. Adrien stole a glance at Nino from the corner of his eye, earning a sheepish smile from the other as he fought a grin himself. Turning his head towards the teacher, he began listening. Five minutes later he found himself distracted again as his eye caught something blue from the corner of his view. Turning his head a fraction, his eyes landed on Luka's, staring back at him. Blushing in surprise, he turned his attention back to the teacher as he bit the inside of his lip. 'How is he so attractive?' Adrien pouted to himself, sighing inwardly. He was hopeless. Adrien stole one more glance, but this time, Luka was looking elsewhere. ~☆~Adrien sat in the passenger side of Nino's car, staring out the window. Nino was explaining a show he had recently gotten into, trying to persuade Adrien into watching it. Adrien chuckled after a few minutes. "Alright, I'll try watching it tomorrow." Adrien chuckled softly, realizing how much it meant to his friend. Staring out the windshield, he watched the path as they winded up a dirt road. Nino slowed his speed, wishing to ease the abuse on his vehicle. Continuing up the path, the clearing gave way to tree coverage, darkening the already dimming light. Adrien continued watching, curiously awaiting their arrival. "There it is" Nino commented, pointing with his finger over the dashboard with the hand holding the top of the steering wheel. Adrien shifted in his seat, sliding his butt back to give him a better view. Nino drove to the right of the field and parked, turning the car off before they both got out.Adrien followed Nino to the edge of the clearing, staring out over the cliffs side. His sucked in a breath in awe at the view, taken by surprise at all he could see. "Is it worth it?" Nino asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Adrien simply nodded, scanning the entire horizon. In the moment, it felt as if he could see all of Paris. "Good thing it's dark though, it's a long way down, and I dont do heights" Nino laughed, taking a step back. Adrien chuckled. "Hey, Adrien?" Nino asked from behind him. "Hmm?" Adrien questioned, turning toward him. A group of people now stood where Nino did, a chorus of voices beginning to sing Happy Birthday to him. Adrien was taken by surprise yet again that night, his eyes brimming with tears as he covered his mouth with his hand. "This is what this was all about?" Adrien asked in a choked breath, looking to Nino. Nino smiled bashfully, shrugging. "You deserve a party and celebration, bro. It's not fair you don't regularly." Nino clasped his shoulder, shaking his friend lightly. Adrien sniffled, laughing softly. "Thank you, everyone. I feel so loved." Adrien chuckled again, watching as a cupcake was placed in front of him. "Make a wish" Rose smiled warmly. Adrien gently took the cupcake into his own hands, took a moment, then blew out the candle. "What did you wish for?" Alya asked, some of the others shaking their heads. "He can't tell you. It won't come true!" Marinette hung onto her arm, smiling up at her. "Fine." Alya playfully huffed. "Alright, let's get the fire going!" Off to the left a ways, sat a bonfire pit with logs encircling it. Making their way over to it, majority of the group took seats at various spots along the logs, while a few remained standing to tend to the fire. Four people worked together to finally bring life to flames. The oranges and blues lapping up into the air, adding a glow to everyone's faces. "Let there be light!" Kim exclaimed excitedly. Adrien turned his head to continue watching the sight in the distance. The city lights like specs in the night, blazing to life as it lit the skies above it. Paris never sleeps. Sliding his legs out in front of him, he turned his attention back to the group. As he listened in, he fell halfway into a scary story that Alyx was sharing. "Oh, come on, how would a bat be scar-" Alya scoffed, beginning to question until a loud roaring from the tree line cut her off. Screams erupted from multiple people as it scared the group. "What was that!?" Mylene asked in fear. "Okay, haha guys, very funny. You got your jump scare, now come out." Alya mocked, giving a clap. "Uh... Alya? We're all here..." Nathaniel commented, motioning around the circle. Alya eyed everyone to confirm, before they turned to saucers. "Then what was that!?" Alya cried out. The roaring came a second time as loud stomps shook the earth beneath them. "Whatever it is is huge." Rose gripped Juleka tightly, her body shaking. Juleka held her close. "Is it an Akumatized victim?" Nino asked, pulling Adrien behind the log. 'Nino, no' Adrien thought to himself, needing to get away to transform. "Everybody, stay back!" Ladybug's voice flowed through the air, before she herself dropped in front of the group, twirling her yo-yo as she stared into the woods. "Ladybug!" Alya shouted excitedly. Moments later another stood beside her. "What do you think it is?" Viperion asked, looking toward her. "Not sure." Ladybug spoke honestly, walking towards the tree line. "Be careful, Ladybug!" Alya shouted. "Just make sure to stay out of the creatures sight!" Ladybug called back. Everyone ducked behind the logs. Ladybug and Viperion took to the woods, chasing after a largened beast. Noises of fighting and cooperative plans from the heroes echoed, before the beast came charging out of the darkness. As it came into sight of the still ablaze bonfire, it's face then body became revealed to the others. "What is that thing!?" Alyx shouted, scrambling backwards. "It's a run away from it!" Nino shouted back, scrambling to get to his feet and run, Adrien taking off behind him. Despite his best efforts, fate seemed to have it out for him as he felt something sharp dig into the back of his leg. Hissing in pain, he dropped as the claws dug into his shin and yanked him down, dragging him backwards. Turning the best of his abilities, Adrien stared up at the beast. With the head of a snake and the body of a bear, Adrien could do nothing but stare at it. "No!" Ladybug cried out, charging towards the creature. Viperion took in the situation for a split second, gritting his teeth as he took action. He needed to do something or else Adrien would fall to the beast; and he didn't know if the Miraculous transformation would bring a life back from the dead, as a death had never happened before. Viperion approached the beast, plucking his Lyre and producing melodic waves that flowed to the alumatized victim. Becoming distracted by the notes, the beast walked away from Adrien, following Viperion to a safe distance. Seizing her opportunity, Ladybug dropped in and smashed the band around the bears front leg. Returning everything to normal, Ladybug released the butterfly before running toward Adrien. Viperion pulled him to sit up. Adrien rubbed the back of his leg, the pain still radiating out of his shin. "Are you okay?" Ladybug squatted down, reaching out to check the injured leg. "Im fine, it just hurts still is all." Adrien replied, turning his leg over to show proof. "Can you stand?" Viperion asked, worry dancing in his eyes. "I dont know." Adrien attempted to, but the pain was too much, sending him to his knees. Viperion reached out, easing his descent. "I'll take him home." Viperion stated, scooping Adrien into his arms. Adrien blushed, his eyes widening at the situation he had found himself in. "Okay, be safe." Ladybug waved as Viperion ran and jumped from the side of the cliff. Despite his soaring through the skies regularly as Chat Noir, he found himself suddenly frightened. Perhaps it was due to being in pain, not in control, or outside of his transformation, he wasn't sure, but what he did know was that he desperately did not want to be dropped. Clinging to Viperion, he hid his face against the others chest, hearing a rumble of a muffled laugh through his chest. "Scared of heights?" Viperion asked, jumping from the tree tops. "Not really. Scared of being dropped." Adrien answered honestly, his voice quieted by the broad chest that he was pressing into. "I won't drop you, I promise. You're safe." Viperion reassured, gripping him tighter as if to add to his point. Adrien marginally relaxed, forcing himself to try and ease the edges of his worries. Not wishing to make the hero think he didn't trust him or his abilities. "Show me the way" Viperion spoke after a few minutes, as they entered the city. Adrien turned his head, the sights of the city blurring past them as Viperion ran and jumped. Adrien had never realized how agile and quick Viperion was, or how strong, with having carried him with ease. "The agreste mansion, ever heard of it?" Adrien peaked up at him secret teammate, who tipped his head to meet the gaze with a grin. "Who hasn't, Mr. Agreste?" Viperion teased lightly, Adrien blushed, dropping his head in attempts of hiding it. Viperion landed quietly on the roof, making his way to the window and dropping in. Placing Adrien gently in his bed, he stood in front of him. "Returned safe and sound." Viperion crossed his arms over his chest. "Thanks, I appreciate it." Adrien offered a smile, shifting in the bed. "I know the Miraculous heals all, but it sure doesn't take the pain away." Adrien absentmindedly rubbed the back of his leg again, zoning out as he thought about the bears claws digging into his shin. He had dealt with a lot as Chat, so this phased him only a little. "It has to be quite sore" Viperion dropped his arms, crouching down next to Adrien's legs. Applying adequate pressure, he began massaging circles into Adrien's injures leg with his thumbs. Adrien drew back a hair, a furious blush flushing across the bridge of his knows and coating his cheeks in a rosey red hue. "W-what are you doing?" Adrien asked, his leg tensing in the touch. "I'm just trying to help." Viperion met his gaze, his cerulean orbs dancing with life, his tone cautious to ease Adrien's uncertainty. Adrien found the tension slipping from his shoulders down to his toes slowly, as he averted his eyes and nodded. Viperion chuckled softly. "I dont want you in pain." Viperion stated simply, beginning his massaging. As silence enveloped them, Adrien returned his eyes to the teal hero, taking in his features. Viperion was paying attention to what he was doing, expertly working the knots out of his sore muscles, eventually rubbing his fingers across the skin to finish up. The suit he wore made his touch smooth in one direction, yet grippier in the opposite due to the snakes skin. "Feel better?" Viperion questioned, his hands slowing before dropping. He lifted his eyes, their gazes locking for a second time. Adrien challenged him, refusing to turn his eyes away this time. "Yes, thank you." Adrien felt his heart beat quicken. Although he was simply a citizen, perhaps someone Viperion may have the off chance of knowing, Viperion was his comrade. His battle buddy. It was strange to sit there in front of someone he knew and be incapable of saying anything. "Just doing my duties." Viperion smiled, standing to his full height. Adrien tipped his head back to look up at the other. "I should go, make sure Ladybug and the others are okay." Viperion motioned with his head toward the window. Adrien bit his lip with his canine, worrying it between his teeth. And internal debate on whether to let him go and chase him as Chat or ask him to stay as Adrien. Deciding to ask him to stay as Adrien felt strange, as he had no reason to request such things, he opted to let him go, giving a nod. "I understand" "See ya later, Adrien" Viperion waved before running toward the window and jumping out. Adrien leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. Plagg popping out of his hiding place to float around his head. "You doing alright, kid?" Plagg asked, eyeing him. "Yeah, I'm doing good. Plagg?" Adrien looked up at the little creature. "Yeah?" Adrien handed him a piece of cheese and despite loving it and enjoying it, he knew what it meant. "Claws out!" Chat Noir landed in the clearing, rubbing the back of his head as he chuckled nervously, "Seems I'm late to the party. Sorry, I couldn't transform." He admitted as he stood close to Ladybug and Viperion, enough to only let them hear. "We understand, kitty." Ladybug smiled. "Thank you, M'lady" Chat gave a small bow "Everything is taken care of here, for today. Everyone, you may resume partying." Ladybug informed the others. "But Adrien isn't here, it wouldn't be right." "I can go bring him back, he was feeling better when I left. It is his birthday party after all." Viperion shrugged. "Good idea, he doesn't get to celebrate often. Could you do that? Sorry to make you have to run all over." Nino stated. "Not a problem." Viperion turned, but Chat stopped him. "I can go get him. Only fair since I wasn't here before." Chat stood in front of him, his hand raised to his chest as his fingertips kept Viperion from going any further. "If that's what you want to do, fine." Viperion eyed him before shrugging. Ten minutes later, Adrien walked out of the shadows of the woods."Thanks, Chat, see you later" Adrien turned to the darkness and waved. Suddenly thankful his outfit was black and not vibrant. He could claim to have hidden in the shadows to drop Adrien off, if ever questioned. Adrien approached the group with a mild limp, everyone welcoming him. Viperion watched him for a moment before he and Ladybug disappeared into the night in their own directions. Luka snuck from behind the vehicles as Marinette came from the brush, quietly approaching the back of the group with none the wiser about where they had been. "How did you ever get away anyways, Adrien?" Alyx asked, leaning back on the log as her let's stretched out in front of her. "Oh, uh... well... he's not home. He's in Europe on business." Adrien shrugged, dropping his eyes to the fire. "What!?" Alya asked exasperatedly. "Yeah, he left yesterday" Adrien rubbed his hands together, tucking them between his thighs. "W-" Mylene began, her face showing her sadness. Nino watched for a moment, sighing inwardly. He had come to learn how Adrien's home situation was on a regular basis, he had already gotten through his shock and agitation over it, knowing there was nothing he could do to change Adrien's home life. The best he could do, and tried to, was distract Adrien when he had the chance. "No party wants bumming. Let's party!" Nino shouted over the intermingling voices of his friends, putting energy into his words. This was Adrien's birthday party, and he would be damned if he was going to let his best friend be depressed on his birthday.
