Black slender trees stood bare in the freezing cold of the year’s unforgiving winter season nighttime. Winter flowers crystallized from the frost: bloomed and are fighting and holding their grounds against the harsh weather and wind. The town folks huddled up close with their loved ones gaining and sharing their body’s warmth together. Some were locked inside the comfort of their homes, and some were outside enjoying the festive season celebrating the endeavor kingdom’s queen’s favorite time of the year. and here is where the queen finds herself. Under the high rooftop of the pastel and gold children room in the mighty endeavor castle, held tightly from her knees by two small, soft arms. She laughs quietly as she tries to walk further but finds it difficult to do so as the small hands try harder to keep her in place, showing how desperate the small hand’s owner is. "Oh …my prince!" softly breathes the queen feeling all fuzzy inside. She’s supposed to make her leave right now and give a celebratory visit to the town at this time in the evening. But the young prince had held her in place refusing that she leaves the palace. "But what will happen if you got taken by the big bad wolf? Or-or by the mean red dragon that will take you by his claws and trap you in a tower and leaves you there all alone?" Said the prince looking desperately up at the queen with his captivating mismatched exotic blue and reflective grey orbs glossing over. Oh, how much she feels alone whenever the prince is not around her. Though she knows and understands that some things don’t happen or goes the way she wants it to. That means she’s already been taken by the big bad wolf that the prince read in a paper cut-out storybook made exclusively for the four-year-old. And she’s trapped in a high and gorgeous tower by the impossibly ambitious to his desires red mean dragon that she once read out loud for the prince when he comfortably sat on her lap. "As you wish, my prince." Replied the queen sweetly. She loves the phrase. it makes her feel as if he is hers and only hers. The greatest and perfect prince that the obsessive king wants to groom to become the next unbeatable and incomparable. Is all hers. Only hers. The prince smiled brightly with his even Snow White teeth as the queen took off the baby blue winter coat she just wore and handed it to the rushing maid with her head bowed down in respect to the unrivaled beauty before her. "Mother! I want to show you something!" whispered the prince excitedly. The innocent one grabbed the queen’s hands and quickly led her to another room with a heavy white door decorated in pastel blue and pink colors. Beyond the door was a large room all covered in white. high white walls Carved in elegant lines and curves, one huge white fur carpet covered one end of the room to the other end far away. And in the middle of this minimalist grand room was a vintage white couch and a pile of picture books and some authentic wooden toys on the floor. ‘How lovely!’ thought the queen feeling her heart melt at the sight of her adorable prince standing out from the white environment. "What is it you wanted to show me, my prince?" Asked the queen sitting on one of the spotless white couch beside the toddler who’s on the carpeted floor and scattering through his stuff fetching an olive green leathered cover heavy book holding it up with two tiny hands up to the queen’s face. "What might this be? What does it talk about, mother?" Asked the prince intrigued to know more about the heavy book. The queen was quiet as she looked at the book in the prince’s hands to his curious face and back again. He must have gone into the tower library where she goes there alone when the prince is out with his highness the king. She loves that book, She always finds it distracting her from the fact that her prince is with her obsessive husband that she resented, but she had to admit that he was the reason why her love and the throne’s heir was born in the first place. But the prince is still too young to understand the book’s beautiful content. She’d love it if he were to read it and understand and furthermore love the book like she does and make it a source of comfort and also a happy place when he gets older and becomes a handsome gentleman. "I’d love it if you were to read it when you get a little older, my love." Said the queen as she took the book away from the prince’s little hands. the queen’s heart fluttered as she saw the little pout the prince made with his pinkish tint lips and a curious tilt to his head that caused his red and white hair to ruffle to the side. "And why is that?" Asked the prince looking displeased with the Queen's answer. It took a moment for the queen to come up with an answer that will please her lover. But she did answer nonetheless. "Because then the book won’t be able to do it’s magic!" Said the queen faking a horrified expression to trick the little prince. And it successfully worked. "Magic?!" Asked the prince disbelieved. Of course, there’s no such a thing as books with magic but it feels a lot like it if she were, to be honest. "Yes!" Started the queen, pleased at how easy it was to manipulate her lovely naive prince. "When you get a bit older, the book’s magic will work wonderfully! It will show you things unimaginable!" The prince’s mismatched eyes widened as his brain thought of what could this book possibly hold that is beyond imaginable. "But!" Shortly the queen cut through the prince’s thoughts bringing him back to reality. "It will only work if you were to be a bit older than you are right now!" Stated the queen as if it is an important piece in a puzzle. The prince slumped on the white fur floor in a defeat of being denied to read a glorious book that is literally in his tiny hand’s reach. "Not even a little, tiny peek?" Asked the prince with his gorgeous eyes looking through long lashes and behind his long red and white bangs. "No." Stated the queen harshly with a tone that held no place for discussion but not as cold as the king’s tone. But that soon shattered as her eyes landed on the defeated prince’s form. He looked delicious. She felt as if he was inviting her to hold him tightly and closely and whisper things that will cheer him up. inviting her to kiss him without leaving any place unkissed and untouched on his silky smooth skin. Invites her to take him away from everyone (especially from the king) and everything and just keeps him with her forever. If that even was possible. Because she knows the king won’t let her go with his prince as he puts it. Though it won't hurt to dream, won't it? "Come here, my prince." Said the queen to the prince quietly. Gazing at the prince’s form as he crawled to her with slumped shoulders. She held him tightly as he sat on her lap with his head hidden in the crook of her neck. "You know that all you have to do to read it is to wait, right?" Asked the queen with adoring voice. "I know…" whispered the prince to the queen hesitantly. His hot, short breath brushed on her skin and caused a small, pleasureful shiver to run down through and through her body. "But I still want to read it, mother." Whined the prince shyly. "I know you do, my love. But that would mean you won't be able to feel the magic the book has to offer. Would you want that?" Said her highness knowing the answer full well. "No…I don’t." Replied the endeavor kingdom’s prince. "Will you read it when grow up won't you? For me." Said the endeavor kingdom’s queen possessively. "I will!" Said the younger one with determination tainting his discolored eyes. He will read it. For her.
