Namjoon is a dark witch. In simpler words, his magic derives from the dark side of magic instead of the light side. No, he doesn’t do bad things. That’s not what dark magic is about. Why does his magic derive from the dark side? It’s because his specialty is necromancy, meaning he can conjure the spirits of the dead.

He opened a spell shop once he graduated from the Magic University, that every witch has to attend to find their specialty. Instead of joining the Council of Magic as his professors recommended him to since his specialty is so rare and what most witches do, he decided to open his own shop. Namjoon feels like it was the best decision he has made. He was never one to follow around strict rules and that is what is like to work for the council. He can be his own free person, has his own set of rules, dress however he likes, and open his shop at whatever time he felt like.
His shop simply consists of rarer spells and potions that are normally not made by herbs that light witches harvest even though he does a few with those. The main thing about his job is conjuring the spirits of the dead loved ones even if the main thing of his specialty isn’t for that. It kind of seems cheesy or simply funny just because of how humans have interpreted and shaped that part of his specialty. Their ignorance on the topic is what brings in some cash into Namjoon’s pockets so might as well use it for his own satisfaction. The original and main thing about necromancy is hidden from the humans and only magical beings can request the service.
Today starts like any other normal day in Namjoon’s life. He does his daily routine that really doesn’t change much. He gets up early, sometimes, has his breakfast, gets dressed into his comfiest clothes, cleans his store a bit before he opens it. Oh, and watch his neighbor, a light witch, a gardenerian witch to be exact. His name is Jung Hoseok and Namjoon has had a crush on him ever since the witch moved in next to him, so exactly a year and a half. He has barely maintained a conversation with him because every time the other is in front of him he feels the warmth as if the sun was literally in front of him, conversing with him. Also because Jung Hoseok is extremely beautiful and he can never form coherent sentences when they cross each other’s pacts.

So he just opted to watch him take care of his magical herbs and plants from his window.

Meow.

Namjoon jumps a bit before sighing. He turns away from the window and looks down to his feet. His familiar, a black cat, looks up to him. His green eyes are wide as he looks up at Namjoon before walking closer to Namjoon and meowing. Namjoon rolls his eyes, “I already told you, Yoongi hyung. I’m not going to do it.”

The cat walks away from him before transforming in a human. “And I keep telling you that you’re an idiot Joon-ah,” says Yoongi, standing in front of him. His cat ears on top of his black hair are up and twitching slightly. “He is singing,” Yoongi sighs as he sees Namjoon quickly turning back to the window. He slowly walks up to Namjoon and puts his chin on Namjoon’s shoulder, looking towards the exact same direction that Namjoon is looking, towards Jung Hoseok kneeling down while he picks up herbs softly singing a melody. Yoongi turns to look at Namjoon and he sees his eyes twinkle in adoration, a small smile adorning his face.

“You look like an idiot.”

“

Hyung!”

Yoongi chuckles then step back when Namjoon turns his body towards him. “I’m not lying. You look like an idiot, an idiot in love to be exact,” Yoongi says smiling at him. “You should just go for it!” He exclaims, “It’s been way too long, Namjoon. Just tell him.”

“I can’t.” Namjoon groans looking down at the floor. “He is completely different from me and way too out of my league, hyung! He is a freaking god!” He exclaims.

Yoongi rolls his eyes, “Haven’t you heard the phrase

opposite poles attract each other

? Seriously, just give it a go, I’m pretty sure he feels the same way.” With that, Yoongi walks away from him. Namjoon turns around to tell him that he is not sure that could be possible. A god liking him back? Way too good to be true. But he saw Yoongi, already in his cat form, walking away from him. He sighs, he knows Yoongi is done with his undeniable and way too ridiculous love towards the gardenerian witch but he can’t help it.
He turns around, back to the window, he sees Hoseok standing up with a basket full of colorful magical herbs. A smile still beautifully adorning his face. Namjoon can feel the edges of his lips slowly rise up. A butterfly suddenly flies by Hoseok, carefully landing on the tip of Hoseok’s beautiful sculpted nose. Hoseok lets out a laugh making the butterfly move its wings. The sight makes Namjoon’s chest feel with a warmth that it already sets his faith.
He turns around and puts his back to the wall, slowly let his body go down. He runs his hands down his face. He is fucked. Way too fucked. He has already fallen into the deep hole and he knows, for sure, that there is no way out.

He is deeply in love with Jung Hoseok and he doesn't mind being in that hole. He just doesn’t know if he would ever have a chance.

————————————————————————

Meow.

Namjoon looks up from his book and sees Yoongi with another magical flower in his mouth. He sighs,

not another one,

he thinks. It’s been days since their last little ruckus about Namjoon’s crazy love towards Hoseok but ever since that day, Yoongi has been coming back from his daily walks with a white flower in his mouth. He just places it in front of Namjoon or if he is too engrossed in a book to pay attention to him, he will place it on top of the page Namjoon is reading. The thing is…

He never tells him where did he get it from.

Every time Namjoon asks Yoongi will simply shrug or just plain out ignore him that Namjoon just gave up on find where does he keep getting them from. He also doesn’t know what type of flower it is. He just knows it’s magical and the books he has doesn’t really have anything about flowers. So he just puts them on a vase with water because they look pretty.

He just hopes they aren’t poisonous.

He is about to sit down again before the bell from the front door rings signaling that it is time to work. He stands up straight and closes the book he was reading but not before putting a bookmark on the page he was reading. When he looks up after closing his book and he almost stumbled to the ground.

In front of him is none other than Jung Hoseok himself, with that beautiful smile that makes Namjoon weak on his feet. “H-Hello Hoseok-ssi, how can I help you?” Namjoon asks smiling while he carefully sits down on the stool he was sitting down before. Do you know? Got to play it out that he wasn’t about to fall down on basically nothing just because Hoseok simply smiled at him.

Hoseok pouts, “Namjoonie, I told you that you can simply call me Hoseok! We are the same age and we are friends, so stop with the formalities!” He exclaims, still pouting, and Namjoon swears he almost coo out loud. You cannot blame him. Hoseok looks darn adorable when he pouts and Namjoon is weak for that.
He is weak for Hoseok overall but that’s not the point right now.
Namjoon smiles at him, “Sorry, Hoseok. I was in work mode, my bad.”

Hoseok chuckles, “Aish you work too hard, which reminds me,” he puts a box on top of Namjoon’s desk. “I made you a cake! One of my hyungs owns a bakery where he bakes magical goodness and he shared with me this recipe and I thought,

well who would be able to taste this?

And boom! You came to mind.”

“I hope you like it! The recipe said it helps with tiredness and you work too much, so you better have a piece soon!” Hoseok says while smiling at him brightly.

Namjoon pulls it closer to him and sees it has been decorated beautifully with white flowers, much like the ones Yoongi has been bringing lately. “Thank you, Hoseok. Seriously,” he looks up to look at Hoseok.

Hoseok blushes slightly, “Aish it’s nothing really.” He looks down and sees the flower that Yoongi brought on the desk. “Oh, where did you get that?” He asks, a smile slowly forming on his face.

“Oh, that!” Namjoon expresses as he picks up the flower, “I don’t know, to be honest. Yoongi keeps bringing them up and to be fair, plants were never my specialty, so I don’t know what flower it is.”

Hoseok hums, “Well, you’re lucky I’m here! I can tell you what flower it is if you want,” he says, smiling softly at Namjoon.

“Uh y-yeah, sure.”

“Great,” Hoseok exclaims and carefully takes the flower off of Namjoon’s hand. “This is a

Linaria Bipartita

, do you know what the flower means?” Hoseok asks and he only receives a head shake from Namjoon. He chuckles, “It means

Please notice my feelings for you.

”

Namjoon’s eyes widen, “What? Wait,” he stops himself for a second, “that means Yoongi hyung likes me?” He asks.

Hoseok just shrugs while putting the flower back to the vase, “I don’t know, maybe?” He chuckles while looking at Namjoon’s shocked face.

“But I thought he liked the baker from a few blocks away,” Namjoon mumbles, looking down to his desk as if it will give him any answers to his too many questions he is having at the moment.

Hoseok bites his lower lip while looking at him before speaking, “I really don’t know Namjoonie. Maybe someone gave the flower to him and asked to give it to you. So maybe is  not him.”

Namjoon opens the mouth to question him why he thought that but he doesn’t get a chance because Hoseok continues to talk.

“I don’t know, I’m just throwing out ideas,” he puts his hands on his waist. “Well, I have to go. I have to finish some medicines for the local pharmacy, so talk to you later.”

And with that Hoseok waves him goodbye and Namjoon is left behind his desk with a head full of questions.

——————————————————

Namjoon speaks about the flowers to Yoongi the very next day. He got a very serious answer.

“Ah, no. Sorry dude, but you’re not my type and I’m definitely still looking forward to the baker to eat my ass,” Yoongi says while he files his claws.

Namjoon cringes a bit, “Okay, I didn’t need to know that hyung!”

“You asked.”

“

Shut up

.”

Yoongi shrugs, “Well it’s not me, so that means Hoseok’s analogy can be right.”

Namjoon looks at him, “You know who it is?”

“I do,” Yoongi looks back at Namjoon then back at his claws, “ain’t telling you though.”

“Ugh please, hyung! I just wanna know who likes me,” Namjoon pouts.

Yoongi looks at him and sighs. Putting his nail file to the side he turns to Namjoon who is current kneeling in front of him, and Yoongi can’t lie but he likes seeing Namjoon like this. Anyways, he looks him straight into his eyes and says, “Just gonna say that you won’t be disappointed.”

With that, Yoongi transforms into his cat form and casually walks away from Namjoon.

———————————————

A week passes and Namjoon has almost forgotten about the fact that someone likes him and is sending him a flower every day via Yoongi. Yoongi still goes to his daily walks but he hasn’t brought a flower since last time. He also hasn’t brought the subject back up, so the only reminder of those events is the last flower that is still in the vase full of water.

The flower is doing good but with him working with death. The energy surrounding his shop won’t help the flower live much longer.

He sighs. He is currently working on a spell and potion for the council and he isn’t having too much fun with it. Being the only necromancer in the area, because the few that were around moved away, he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders in making these perfect.

But he feels blocked. His brain is working in barely any sleep and his stomach is slowly eating him alive because the last meal he had was lunch, and he had it yesterday.

He hadn’t noticed he was slowly falling asleep until a knock to his store door made him jump. He puts all the papers and ingredients under his desk before standing up from his stool. He slowly stretches his arms upward making his back make a

crack

sound. ‘

Damn I really need to take a break,’

he thinks before walking towards the front door.

“Coming!” He yells after hearing another knock on the door. The person must have their hands full if they can’t open the door as a normal person would after knocking on his door.

If they read the sign, that is.

Namjoon opens the door, already with his routine dialogue of ‘

hello, welcome coffins’ brewers, how can I help you today?’

on the tip of his tongue. It dies right there when he sees who is in front of him.

None other than Jung Hoseok.

With Yoongi in his cat form in his arms.

“Uh, what’s this?” Namjoon asks looking back and forward between Hoseok and Yoongi.

Hoseok chuckles, “Oh it is nothing really. Just found your cat on my garden picking up flowers.”

Namjoon frowns then looks down at Yoongi. Yoongi is looking back at him with his big green eyes while holding a white flower between his paws. Namjoon’s eyes widen a little noticing is the same flower Yoongi has been bringing to his store for a week.
Something clicks inside of Namjoon’s already tired brain.
The flower comes from Hoseok’s garden.

Hoseok expressed that the flower might not be from Yoongi himself but from someone else.

Yoongi didn’t denied it when he asked him about it and he did told him he won’t be disappointed of finding out who is being those flowers.

No. It really cannot be. He is being delusional, right? There’s no way it would be him.

Namjoon’s brain keeps getting filled with these thoughts while he looks back and forward between Hoseok and Yoongi.

Hoseok laughs before taking the flower out of Yoongi’s paws then setting him down on the floor. Yoongi carefully walks back inside the store but not before rubbing himself on Namjoon’s leg. Namjoon doesn’t really register the affection because he is too in trance at looking at Hoseok, smiling at him while he holds the flower in his hand.

Hoseok is the first one to break the silence between the two, “Took you long enough, huh?” He smiles at Namjoon. That beautiful smile of his that Namjoon cannot simply get enough of.

“Ah… How? Why? I’m confused.” Namjoon musters to say. His brain is way too tired to actually comprehend this is actually happening in front of him. He couldn’t believe that Jung Hoseok, the person he has had a crush on for like more than a year, is right in front of him with the flower he told him himself that it means

please notice my feelings towards you

.
Hoseok breaks his train of thoughts, “I couldn’t wait any longer for you to make the move Namjoonie. Yes, you look extremely cute when you blush every time I get close to you and when you think I don’t notice you looking at me through your window while I’m out at the garden. Joonie, you are too obvious yet so oblivious to my advances.”“Wait what?”
“Anyways, like I know you are thinking

this isn’t real, I’m dreaming,

” Hoseok says rolling his eyes at him. He walks closer to Namjoon and softly puts the flower between the crook of Namjoon’s left ear. “But this is real baby and I would love to show you how real this is.”

Namjoon sees Hoseok’s eyes move slowly to his lips then back at him. He sees Hoseok biting his lower lip while lifting one of his eyebrows and Namjoon really can’t say no. He has dreamt of kissing Hoseok’s beautiful lips way too many times, so he definitely wasn’t going to miss this opportunity. So he nods, not really trusting his voice at this point and Hoseok softly closes the distance between them. Namjoon’s heart skipped a beat. Hoseok’s lips are much more softer than what he had imagined.

The kiss overall is better than what he have ever dreamt.
Someone clears their throat behind him making them break the kiss. Namjoon turns around and sees Yoongi looking at them. Yoongi raises an eyebrow at them, “So now that I see that both of you got your shit together, where’s my prize?” Says him making Namjoon frown. He hears Hoseok sigh before speaking, “Fine, you really didn’t do much but you didn’t tell him so I guess you do deserve it.” With that, Namjoon hears Hoseok’s fingers snap and a piece of paper appears out of thin air. Yoongi smiles and takes it.
He carefully examines it before nodding, “It was nice doing business with you.” With that he walks away leaving a very confused Namjoon behind. But before he could even ask Hoseok what was that about, Hoseok speaks as if he had read his mind.
“He came over to me a few weeks ago to just confess my feelings towards you already because you were driving him insane,” Hoseok chuckles, “so I told him I will and to give you the flower every day until you finally notice, but he couldn’t just straight up tell you it was coming from me. So I kind of told him I’ll give him the baker’s number if he just played his part.”
“Damn…” Namjoon says while finally looking at him. “So you really like me back?”

Hoseok laughs, “Yes, you silly bear!” Hoseok’s hand slowly goes up towards Namjoon’s cheek, softly caressing while looking at him lovingly in the eyes. “I like you. I have like you since the moment I moved next door and you came to greet me and welcome me to the neighborhood. Every moment we spend together, I just continue to fall deeper and deeper in love with you.”

Namjoon can clearly see how Hoseok’s eyes sparkle when he talks. He knows the feelings are genuine and he can feel the corners of his lips go up. “I’m in love with you too, Hoseokie. Basically, since the moment our eyes met. You’re like the sun that suddenly walked into my dark life and brighten it up,” he says, his voice soft to hear making Hoseok let out a small chuckle.

“We both are such softies.”
“But we love each other like that,” Namjoon pouts making Hoseok smile at him softly.
“Yeah, we love each other exactly like that.”

Hoseok’s lips meet Namjoon’s, stopping the other on whatever remark he was going to say. Namjoon can’t get enough of Hoseok’s lips on his. It just feels perfect like they were meant to be his and his only. He wraps his arms around Hoseok’s waist, making Hoseok let out a small whimper. Namjoon smiles in the kiss. Yes, this is paradise for him and he won’t ever let go of him.
