Sometimes Hoseok needed to escape. Not the “I made the bags and disappear forever” kind of escape, but more like “I go to the forest a few hours and come back when I’d nurtured enough of nature and mental peace”.Actually, Seonyudo Park wasn’t technically a forest but for the dreamy eyes of a 17 years old teenager was more than enough. His life clearly wans’t the disaster that was Yoongi, Jungkook and Yoonji’s lives, and definitely he didn’t count with the luck of live with the commodities of Jimin’s, but he survived. Of simply tastes and impetuous honesty, he was happy with his friends, he had a family that loved him and his escapes to the forest when everything turned too much.Hoseok was everybody’s sunshine, even for himself, and he’d always tried to hold up what wasn’t being held with his overwhelming energy that painted a smile in the lips of everyone whom met him.But before all of that, he was human and it was logical that there were days in which his inner sun simply decided to switch off. And it was in those cloudy days for his spirit that he disappear a few hours in the forest, charged battery and came back to continue with his life, emotionally holding together the Min’s siblings, gave them shelter in his home when thing turned insufferable in theirs, and dancing and laughing with Jimin. It was in one of those desperate escapes to the forest to forget Yoongi’s purple eye, Yoonji’s inconsolable tears, and Jungkook’s wounded lips, that Hoseok met Namjoon. To went so frequently to the Park, Hoseok always found familiar faces that greet him with wide smiles, but in the moment his bright eyes landed in that stranger that day, he automatically knew that was someone new in the neighborhood. The thin, tall and lanky figure that reminded him a noodle complexion was sat between the tall trees, serenely speaking to a pair of does that had approach him allowed him to touch them. The scene in front of his eyes was so magically natural that it never crossed Hoseok’s mind that was impossible there were animals there more than birds and insects, because he was completely captivated by that young men that kindly whispered to animals.Seduced and pulled by curiosity’s inertia, Hoseok neither notice that he was approaching to the stranger, until his step’s sounds alerted the animal whose run away in panic and far away, out of the reach of Hoseok’s eyes they vanished with a loudly “puff” in a green smoke. The stranger then, rised up his endless eyes, a look so wise and old that it was strange for Hoseok to found that kind of expression in a young man close to his age, but everything disappear the moment that the stranger smiled wide and kindly to him revealing a pair of deep dimples, one in each cheek.Something inside Hoseok’s suddenly paralyzed while he’d watched him dazzled and something in his chest ¿perhaps his heart?, warmly writhed, taking completely away his breath. When he’d returned the smile, without being conscious of that, he knew immediately, incapable of putting into words that he’d found the person which he would spend the rest of his life with.Everything started that day for Hoseok, with Namjoon’s beautiful smile, ignoring that he was about to change his destiny, and his friends’ as well. In a short time, that forest has a completely different meaning in his life.Yes, it was still his escape, but everything was much better with Namjoon by his side speaking to him with his serene cadency, infinite and full of wise deep voice, caresses that erased worries and hugs that relieved the four world’s weight that he carried upon his shoulders.Namjoon was his first kiss despite that he was the one who'd started. A clear reflection of his overwhelming energy and Hoseok couldn’t think in any other perfect place to do it than under the tall and green trees when he met him, surround them by green butterflies, family’s Kim symbol as Seokjin and Taehyung had told him when Namjoon introduced them to him. The insects flew around them and softly settled over their chained bodies in a tangled of limbs firmly grabbed, without the mere intention of letting go that warmly comfort. The brothers Kim’s apparition not only had changed his life, as Yoongi and Yoonji’s as well since he never had seen Yoongi smiled the way he did with Seokjin, and despite Taehyung had a difficult mission with Yoonji, Hoseok was sure that his friend loved the young boy as much as he loved her, but she was afraid to show him because anything was ever be endless in Min’s lives. Jungkook had finally opened with Jimin and he would never understand how his relationship with Namjoon had achieve that much stability in that short time.Everything had seem to be orchestrated by destiny since the beginning and if he’d believed in fairy tales, he’d been sure that it was all about soulmates. All of them, but that was impossible. Hoseok was only happy thinking that their horrible lives finally had given a for better turn, that everything was better because they’d learned how to keep forward, and that he would never see again sadness and pain in his friends’ eyes. But Hoseok was wrong. And then, came the change. All the happiness vanished as fast as it had arrived. One afternoon he was saying goodbye to Namjoon with a last kiss as every day before going home without knowing that it would be the last, and at the next that same young man whom he deeply loved and whom he’d believed spend the rest of his life, told him in a cold and cruelly way that he’ll abandoned the city with their brothers and he would never return. There was something odd about that, something didn’t fit, as if that last conversation had left more certainty than doubts about his suspicions, despite Namjoon’s mystery at the moment of talk, and all the loose ends and unanswered questions that he left behind.Hoseok knew that it was something more, he’d knew Kim brothers too well, to know that they weren’t capable of such thing if there wasn’t anything big behind their run away. But in that moment he didn’t allow himself to think and contemplate, in that moment he allowed himself to feel and his heart was breaking in pieces. He accept Namjoon’s words with the same diplomacy and coldness that they were said to him and he nodded to everything with greeted teeth, afraid that his noisy and vocal nature had let escaped how much hurt everything was causing him.Hoseok didn’t drop any tears in that occasion, but in the moment that Namjoon disappeared of his sight to returned his home, that wonderful and pacific forest, that sometime was his paradise, had seem to cruelly closed over him sieving as if it wished crushed him, suffocated him, turning in his personal hell on Earth. And it hurt.It hurt so deeply in Hoseok’s soul that he didn’t know if he would recover from it some time in his life. But it didn’t hurt for him and Namjoon because in the instant that the young man abandoned him, his soul knew that he would meet again with the man that he loved so much. It hurt him for everything else.It hurt him for Yoongi because it had been the first time in his life that his best friend had allowed himself to be happy and live freely at Seokjin’s side.It hurt him for Yoonji because he was completely sure that the girl had been cut with the same scissors as Taehyung has, because theirs it simply would be until the end of times, because Hoseok knew that they wouldn’t capable of survive even an instant without each other. It hurt him for Jungkook because the boy would face his siblings’ pain and help them to heal when he was the most emotionally unstable of the three of them and never had done something like that before. And it hurt him for Jimin that, as same as him would resist and contained all the disaster that Kim brothers had left behind. Hoseok didn’t went to the forest since that moment, no, he didn’t need it.He didn’t want to come back to the place where he’d met him, and where he’d abandoned him. He preferred still by his friends’ side, his true family, trying together all of them overcome that disaster. But Hoseok did came back to the forest two years later, when he knew about Yoongi’s, because he simply couldn’t deal with everything in that moment, feeling that his life finally crumbled like a house of cards. He knew that his intentions to hold everything up together like a contention pillar, of being his friends’ warm and happy sunshine, were too ambitious since the beginning, but it wasn’t something he could against with because it was as part of him as his endless energy, same as his infinite optimism. He knew that of resist so much, the moment when the tense strings of his and his friends’ lives, which so iron and loyalty he’d been hold, finally cut and everything go to hell, it would came.As it happened in that moment.Hoseok allowed that his ripped soul to furiously run that forest. That his screams rose up as far and tall as the trees that surrounded him and under which some time he’d confessed his love to a clumsy and lanky boy of kind smile and endless eyes.He allowed that his bitter tears watered the dense vegetation. That his hands buried in the ground needing desperately grab something that remembered him that everything was real, that it was happening, that hurt as anything had hurt before and he had to released everything there before come back one more time. That day Hoseok’d wished so much Namjoon’s comfort and consolation in the form that has been habitual and natural for them: through softs and reassuring words whispered in each other ears, tight hugs that seemed a warm blanket wrap over them and softs and loving caresses full of deep and infinite love, capable of heal even the deepest wounds. That day Hoseok allowed himself finally missed Namjoon. That day Hoseok wished disappear between vegetation and made himself part of that park, of his forest, to escape forever. For some people, thirteen years wasn’t more than a sigh in their busy and accelerated lives, a simply blink without noticing the pass of time and what they did to get there. For Hoseok and his friends every damn year lasted double time in passed, had its double weight over their souls, making a constant torture of their lives, transforming and inuring what some time were kind, dreamy and innocents’ personalities full of hopes, in something completely colorless and emotionless, in the insensible adulthood that they’d feared so much when Kim brothers promised to them lives full of happiness, dreams and love. A life full of magic, away of everything they had endured since they were kids.Thirteen years had passed. They no longer lived in Yeongdeungpo-gu district and after Yoongi’s, Hoseok ever came back to his forest. He still was holding his friends up because everything had went to hell when Jungkook had blamed Yoonji about Yoongi’s, refusing to be closed to her, even to see her. He took turns with Jimin for any of their friends felt displaced but for Hoseok, Yoonji always would be his little girl because he’d promised Yoongi when they were still kids and full of dreams and hopes that everything would change for better, that he always would take care of her as if she was his own blood. And that was Hoseok always did, he kept in touch with her and lived close if anything happen and she needed him. He knew Jimin would did the same if he hadn’t had go to live with his boyfriend to mountain’s foot, in Jungkook’s urge to disappear completely of their lives. It’s for that that when Hoseok received Yoonji’s desperate text that midday knew that the strings of their lives, that with so much effort he’d could recovered and had been holding together the last fifteen years, they were about to painfully cut again causing a new disaster in their lives, because Kim brothers were back in Seoul.
