Peter was having a bad day. No, not a bad day, a horrible day. Mj was visiting her aunt because she had recently gotten sick, Ned was out with the flu. It would have already been a shitty day but with his Parker Luck apparently it could get worse.
Peter had science class last and so he worked on his web fluid formula and wasn't paying attention, the subject was
Thermochemistry and too easy for Peter, he works in a lab with BRUCE BANNER and TONY STARK for Thor's sake!
"-ker, Mr. Parker!" The teacher interuppted his thoughts on some modifications for the webs. He looked up to see the irritated look in the teacher's eyes, "Mr. Parker, did you hear the question?" He asked, Peter blushed and mumbled a no, the teacher rolled his eyes and asked him again.
"Calculate the enthalpy of reaction for the formation of phosphoric acid from the following unbalanced equation: P4O10 +H2O --> H3PO4 from the following enthalpies of formation:ΔHof(P4O10(s)) = -2984 KJ/mol ΔHof(H2O(l)) = -286 KJ/mol ΔHof(H3PO4(aq)) = -1288 KJ/mol" he read from the whiteboard. Flash yelled out an answer but the teacher told him it was wrong and looked at Peter.
Peter glanced at it and answered before going back to his work, "-452 kJ/mol". The teacher looked at him in surprise before smiling happily and continuing with his lesson. The class continued with the teacher asking questions, Flash yelling out the answers, and Peter immediately after being called on and answering with the correct answer.
When the final bell rang Peter could feel his spidey sense warning him, when he got outside it got worse and soon realized why. Flash shoved him against the lockers in the now empty hallway. Flash punched him in the stomach.
"Why do you always-"
Punch
"-try and make me stupid"
Punch
"You're worthless-"
Shove
"pathetic, weak, stupid-"
Trip
"Your parents probably killed themselves to get away from you-"
Kick
"Your uncle too-"
Kick
"-no one cares about puny penis parker"
And with that, Flash left a bleeding Peter on the ground in the still empty hallway. Peter lifted himself up and groaned in pain, he realized that he had to swing over to the compound and hoped to Thor that he could hide his injuries.
Peter limped into a nearby alley and slowly and painfully changed into his spider suit.
"Hello Peter, I notice that you are injured, would you like me to activate 'Bone Hurting Juice' protocol
and alert Mr. Dad?"
Karen asked. "NO! uh- I mean, no thanks Karen i'm ok, i'll heal quickl- wait Mr. Dad?" Peter asked confused.
"Yes, Mr. Dad is what Mr. Stark is in your contacts, apparently FRIDAY heard that I was your favorite so she reprogrammed me to call everyone by their contact name. I am unsure but I also believe she has done this in the compound as well" she states with a hint of sympathy and amusement.
"shitty ass titty biscuits" Peter stated intelligently. Peter ignoring his injuries, started his swing over to the avengers, on the way he asked Karen to scan and state his injuries.
"You seem to have a sprained ankle, split lip, black eye, bruises over the torso and stomach, and two broken ribs, you also seem to be feeling the symptoms of minor depression and the beginnings of an anxiety attack" she told him softly.
Peter just continued on his way, stopping a few muggings and a car jacking but nothing else, he also swung past a large group of teens from a different school, he slowed down a little and they noticed. One of them pointed and yelled at him, "IT'S WEDNESDAY MY DUDES!!!". Peter grinned beneath the mask and landed on a nearby store before throwing his head back and doing a weird high pitch, yodel scream.
The teenagers cheered and a few shouted that they loved him. Peter smiled but soon stopped as he remembered the things that Flash had told him. Finally, he arrived and he swung in through his personal window. Tony had installed it so that it would do a bio-metric scan that would unlock and open a large window that opened into his room.
He got changed in a sweat pants and hoodie and used his first aid kit that he had in his room and wrapped his ankle and tried to fix or bandage any other injuries. He walked into the common room trying to hide his limp, only to find that it was empty.
"Hey FRI?" Peter asked,
"Yes Peteyboi?"
She answered. Peter sighed and rolled his eyes, "FRIDAY, I don't have a favorite, I like both you and Karen equally, and where are the avengers by the way". After a few short seconds she replied,
"'Mr. Dad' and the 'Fam' are in a meeting right now, Mr. Dad said they don't know when it ends but to start making snacks for movie night"
She answered again, Peter huffed at the nicknames but made his way to the kitchen to start the snacks.
He had popcorn, chips, everyone's favorite candy, some ice cream, and slices of watermelon which were missing a few between the trip from the kitchen to the living room. Peter had just finished setting up the movie(How to train your dragon 3), when he noticed the balcony.
A few minutes later he was sitting on the balcony overlooking the view and asked FRIDAY to play Not Today by Alessia Cara without the lead vocals(karaoke version pretty much). The song started up and Peter began to sing. (italics are Peter's thoughts), (I will be skipping verses because of copyright but I will try to make it so if you know the lyrics than you know where he is in the song)
Peter starts to sing the first verse of the song.
The avengers and Pepper walk in and look for the spider kid, they see him and stand by the open door and listen to him.
The first verse already made his heart feel heavy as he related to it.
'I can't fall asleep, I hate the nightmares, of uncle ben, mom, and dad blaming me' a tear slips down his face, oblivious to the others.
The next verse says one day the pain will be a blip, he continues through the verse. ‘One day I'll get up off the bathroom floor’
'Maybe after I graduate it will be better, but it still hurts right now, shouldn't be crying over it' more tears slip out and his voice cracks at 'bathroom floor', the avengers feel
their hearts break.

'Maybe Flash is right, but maybe he's not, I can't go on like this, it's too much"
He starts to sing the end of the song
'He's such an asshole, why does he hate me?! I can't keep ignoring him in class and talking to Ned like I can't hear him, what did I do to deserve
this?!'
He sings the final lines of the song.
Peter's voice cracks again on 'today' before he breaks down, his sobs make him unbalanced and he shifts forward a little before gripping the edge and turning around to get off when he sees all of the avengers standing there.
Some looked like they just had a heart attack like Peter almost did when he almost slipped, some looked at him in pity, while others looked at him with tears in their eyes. Peter doesn't even speak, his eyes fill up again and tears start to flow down his face, he steps toward Tony but he just rushed over to Peter and holds him into a tight hug while Peter fully breaks down, Pepper joins in the hug a kisses his forehead.
The avengers join in the giant hug and stay like that longer that Steve was a human popsicle. When they finally break apart they walk back to the couches but notice that as Peter stands he grabs his torso and stomach and is limping. Tony scoops him up into a bridal carry and sit down the couch with Peter cuddled into Tony's side.
"Ребенок паук (baby spider), who hurt you?" Nat asks softly, Peter sighed and told them everything, from the names, to the insults, being beat up, and at the end breaks down about everything he's been thinking, including the nightmares and self-blaming.
The avengers look at this young hero, his selflessness to allow himself to be bullied to protect others, how he allows it because he doesn't want to hurt Flash, how he puts on a brave face and makes everyone's lives better and happier even when he is on the brink of falling apart.
The avengers all stare in shock as Bruce and Tony get his shirt off to check the injuries and have FRIDAY scan him and recite his injuries. After more hugs and some more bandaging, they finally settle down to watch the movie. Peter curls up against Tony and Pepper.
"FRIDAY, please play the movie" Tony asks as he gazes at his- the kid.
"Of course Mr. Dad"
FRIDAY answered, Peter stiffens and everyone turns to look at him. "Babygirl, why did you call me Mr. Dad?" Tony asked calmly but his heart beating loudly as he looked at the blushing spiderkid.
"Peter had mentioned to you in the lab a while ago that Karen was his favorite so I took the liberty of
hacking his phone and calling you all by the contact names in PeteyBoi's phone" She stated, sounding smug. Peter mumbled something but all they caught was "traitor", "Stupid AI-", -tupid name, peteyboi-".
Peter buries his face into Tony's side, "I'm sorry" he says softly. Tony runs his hand through his kids hair, "It's ok kid, I have you as 'My Kid' in my phone if that makes you feel better" he says softly to him but the others hear. "I like that dad" Peter whispered back, everyone hearing that too and watch as the too grin widely before the moment is interrupted.
"FRIDAY?" Clint asks, "What are all of our names?" he asks with a small(read hopeful and huge) smile.
"Of course, your name is 'Uncle Merida' ,Clint glared at Peter but failed and smiled happily, Pepper is 'Badass mom', Pepper hugged Peter and kissed him on the forehead, Natasha is 'мама паук' which is Russian
for 'mama spider', Nat stood up and surprised everyone by hugging Peter and kissing his forehead like Pepper, Rhodey is 'Lieutenant Uncle',
Rhodey grinned and gave a thumbs up,
Sam is 'Bird Uncle', Sam chuckled and smiled, Bruce is 'Science Uncle', Bruce gave a big smile to Peter,
Wanda is 'Big Sis', Wanda rubbed away a stray tear and gave him a hug,
Vision is 'MemeKing', Peter and Vision smile as they remember when Peter found out that Vision knew memes and vines, Steve is Uncle Popsicle, and Bucky is 'Uncle Jesus'
Both Steve and Bucky got up and gave Peter a crushing hug and Steve told him to 'respect his elders' with a wink while Bucky laughed. Thor and Loki who are off world are named 'Uncle Hammer' and 'Uncle Snek'. Everyone laughed and made a note to tell them later.
Finally, after MORE hugs and kisses, they finally pressed play. Peter is really glad he has his family, he thinks as he curls up against his mom and dad.
