Wayo loved his boyfriend so, so much. He wouldn’t have spent so much time and effort chasing after him if he didn’t. He was glad to be dating him, glad to have moved in with him last month. All in all, he was happy. Phana made him so happy. Most of the time.He knew that this was the first time Pha was dating a guy, and he knew that it was an adjustment. Long gone were the days of ‘play boy Phana,’ replaced with a doting, domestic boyfriend. There were times where he said the wrong things, upset Wayo to the point where he spent multiple nights on the couch. But he always redeemed himself with his sad kicked puppy expression and, more often than not, flowers and chocolate. That was just the kind of guy Pha was.But that wasn’t going to cut it this time. On his knees, rummaging through their bathroom cabinet, he called, “P’Pha!” not hiding the irritation in his tone. Of all the stupid things Pha had ever done, Wayo was almost positive that this took the cake. When Pha stood in the doorway, he couldn’t even get a word out before Wayo honed in on him. “Where are they?”Pha gave him a slow blink. “Where are what?”“Don’t play stupid,” he said, standing up. “I just got an entire order of contacts in the other week, and now I can’t find them. So I’ll ask again: where are they?” From the way Pha couldn’t meet his eyes, it was pretty obvious that he was at fault. He couldn’t lie to Wayo even if he tried. “P’Pha, I have class in thirty minutes, and I can’t see for shit. So please, just tell me where you put them.”“You don’t need your contacts,” Pha said, voice quiet but not the least bit guilty.Sometimes Wayo truly wondered how this man was going to be a doctor. “Yes, I do. I’m blind without them. How am I meant to see the board if I don’t have them?” Pha held out his hand towards him silently. Wayo glanced down and groaned.Unbelievable. Un-fucking-believable. Pha was offering him his glasses, the same round pair he had worn throughout high school. Part of him found it sweet that Pha still liked to see him this way, see him as the Wayo he had fallen for all those years ago. But another part of him wanted to smack him upside the head. There was a reason he had gotten contacts. Those glasses were embarrassing, made him look dorkier than he already did. But no matter how hard he glared at him, Pha wouldn’t budge, leaving him with little choice.Snatching the glasses from his hands, he wiped the lenses clean on the hem of his shirt before pushing them onto his nose. While he could see himself clearly in the mirror now, he wasn’t happy with his reflection. He had intended to leave this Wayo in high school, but now he was back to haunt him.Long arms wrapped around his waist from behind, a cheek nuzzling against the side of his neck. “You look cute,” Pha said, and Wayo would be lying if he said it didn’t lift his spirits a bit. “I like seeing you like this. This is the Wayo I first fell in love with.” And damnit, that’s what he hated about Pha the most. He couldn’t be angry with him, not when he said things like that.Curling his arm up to stroke the hair tickling his jaw, he hummed, “Does that mean I won’t be getting my contacts back any time soon?”“Not for a while, no,” Pha said and Wayo couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him. “I missed my chance to be with this Yo before. So I want to spend as much time with him as I can now.”Wayo squished Pha’s cheeks in his hands. “Stop being so gross,” he said but kissed him anyway. He loved his boyfriend so, so much. Even if he was an idiot, he was a sweet idiot. The least he could do was wear his glasses for him. …Kit paid little attention to Ming as he flopped back onto his bed with a groan. He had an important test coming up, and the last thing he had time to deal with was his boyfriend’s dramatics. But try as he might, he couldn’t escape Ming when he desperately wanted his attention. The single long, drawn out whine of ‘P’Kit’ had him closing his textbook with a sigh and swiveling around in his desk chair. “What?”“My life is over,” Ming said, still lying down, head tilted towards the ceiling. “You’re going to have to start wearing all black, because your boyfriend is going to die.”As much as such allegations should concern him, he’d learned early on in their relationship that half of Ming’s problems weren’t as serious as he made them out to be. But deciding to humor him, knowing he’d only complain more if he didn’t, he asked, “And why exactly are you going to die? Did you fail a test? Fight with Yo?”“Worse.” Leaning back on his elbows, he had a dejected pout on his face. It was oddly endearing. “I’m going to be absolutely hideous.” Kit could only raise an eyebrow as Ming dug around in his backpack, tossing a small, rectangular case onto the bed. Picking it up to look closer, Kit looked back to his boyfriend with an unamused stare.“You’re freaking out because you got glasses?” Of all the idiotic things Ming could have been complaining about, Kit never thought it would be as ridiculous as getting glasses. His boyfriend didn’t let up, whining in the back of his throat as though that was good enough reasoning. “This is what you get for playing all those video games. They were bound to ruin your eyes eventually.”Ming punched the mattress, and Kit swore he was dating a toddler. “P’! Take this seriously! I’m the moon of the campus! I can’t walk around with those … those things on. I’ll look like a huge nerd.”“Yo has glasses,” Kit reminded him.“But being a nerd is his thing. And he’s too cute for anyone to care anyway.”Having heard enough, Kit got up to join his boyfriend on the bed. He was putting an end to this before things got worse than they already were. Opening the case to reveal a pair of circular, thinly framed glasses, he undid them and held them out towards Ming. “Put them on then. Let’s see just how hideous you look.” When his boyfriend didn’t do so voluntarily, he sat up on his knees to slide them into place.Kit had no doubts that his boyfriend was attractive on a level that border lined inhuman. Long gone were the days where he denied that. But when the nose piece sat comfortably on Ming’s nose and he leaned back to get a better look at him, he was beginning to think that the world was playing a trick on him. How was someone like him real? Opposite of Ming’s concerns, he looked too good for words. Hence why Kit could only stare at him.“They look stupid, don’t they?” Ming said, pout deepening. “After all this time trying to look cool for you, now I have to wear these stupid things.”“You never looked cool,” Kit told him, choosing to ignore Ming’s next round of whines. Instead, he threw one of his legs over both of Ming’s, straddling his lap. At least that got him to shut up so he could finally talk some sense into him. Cupping his cheeks, fingers touching the rims, he said, “I like them. They look good on you. They frame your face well.”It was almost alarming how quickly a single compliment he gave him could change Ming’s entire mood. He supposed that having the ability to cheer up his boyfriend wasn’t the worst thing in the world. “You like them?” Ming asked, wrapping his arms around Kit’s waist. “You think I look good?”“I just said that, idiot.”“Say it again,” Ming said, tilting his chin up to press a kiss underneath Kit’s jaw. “Say it every day, so I know how handsome my boyfriend thinks I am.”“To inflate your ego more? In your dreams, Mingkwan.”…Pete was beginning to realize that his apartment was slowly becoming his and Ae’s apartment. He slept over more often than not, originally just coming over to study but accidentally losing track of time and staying too late to go back to his dorm. His clothes had somehow found their way into Pete’s drawers, and he’d even ended up washing them whenever he did his own laundry. He cooked him dinner, sat down to eat with him after football practice. It was all so incredibly domestic, and he adored every second of it.Undoubtedly however, his favorite part of all was being able to climb into bed with Ae at the end of the day. Ever since they had started dating, it had become difficult for him to fall asleep alone, but that was no longer a problem. When he finished showering, comfortable in his pajamas and ready to wind down, Ae would already be waiting for him in bed. He’d have some textbook sprawled across his lap, bedside light switched on. His concentrated face was adorable, eyebrows pinched together as he pushed his glasses higher up on his nose. That had been one of the major discoveries Pete had made when Ae started staying with him. It had been completely on accident, finding his boyfriend in that same familiar position after his shower. Ae had brushed it off when Pete asked him about it, merely commenting that he needed them to read sometimes but that was all. Selfishly (and silently), Pete wished that Ae had to wear them for more than just reading. His boyfriend was attractive on his worst of days, but there was something about seeing those wire frames around his eyes that just did something for him.He didn’t try to hide his appreciation for them either. Ae never held back his affection, so there was no reason he had to. Crawling into his spot in bed, he curled into Ae’s side, preening when his arm immediately came to wrap around him. No matter how many times he was in this position, he’d never grow tired of it. He nosed lovingly at Ae’s neck.“What are you doing?” Ae asked, a gentle fondness in his voice. “Are you trying to get my attention?” Pete knew he didn’t need to try; he always had it. Closing his book and putting it on the bedside table, he used his free hand to stroke over Pete’s cheek. “Hm?”Pete shook his head, temple against his collarbone. “I just missed you, that’s all.” Having grown more daring over the progression of their relationship, he leaned up to kiss his cheek. “I haven’t seen you all day.”Ae, so easily fueled by the littlest things Pete did, smiled and pressed a kiss to his forehead. “I missed you too. P’No kept us longer than usual, but I don’t have practice the rest of the week.” He pressed another kiss to his nose this time. “So you have me all to yourself.”“Lucky me,” he hummed, lifting himself up to kiss Ae properly. Ae met him halfway, deepening the soft kiss Pete had started. He was always so attuned to what Pete wanted. Pulling back to stare down at him with that smile that made Pete feel like sunshine, Ae rolled them over so that he was on top of him. He reached up to take his glasses off, but Pete stopped him with a hand on his arm. “Keep them on,” he said.“They’re going to end up getting in the way.” It was almost amusing how little Pete cared.“But I like them,” Pete protested, hands on either one of his cheeks, thumbs rubbing over the end pieces down towards his ears. “I like seeing Ae in them. He looks so handsome.” Ae, ever the loving boyfriend, couldn’t say no to him, and Pete knew that. What he wanted, he got. And if he wanted the glasses to stay on, then they stayed on.“You like them, huh?” Ae dipped back down to trail kisses over his neck. “How much? Tell me?” And Pete did. All night, he made it perfectly clear.…A long day at work had Arthit ready to crawl into bed and stay there for the remainder of the night. With his luck (and the right pair of not so subtle and definitely not practiced puppy eyes), he would be able to get Kongpob to go down to the corner market and get them dinner to eat in front of some new movie they hadn’t seen yet. Head set on that, he kicked his shoes off near the door.“Welcome home, P’Arthit,” Kongpob greeted. He was at his desk, studying away like the model student he was. Just seeing him took a bit of the tension out of his shoulders. It was nice not living alone anymore, even better living with the one he loved. “Let me just finish this last page; then we can have dinner.”Setting his bag down, he ventured further into the apartment to stand beside his boyfriend’s chair. “I was thinking those noodles from down the street. I really don’t want to cook.” Kongpob chuckled, finally looking up at him with that wide smile that normally made Arthit’s heart melt. This time, however, it nearly stopped. “What’s on your face?”Kongpob was taken aback, face dropping as he went to feel around his cheeks. Not until his fingers hit the black frames of his glasses did his smile return. “Oh, I ran out of contacts. It was a real struggle trying to find these. I haven’t worn them in so long.” Long apparently meaning the past four years.Arthit swallowed, unable to look at his face. Kongpob was attractive. He knew that; anyone who had ever seen him knew that he was attractive. He’d seen Kongpob in practically every way possible, from the most professional to the most intimate. But for some reason, this was what flustered him the most. A simple pair of glasses. He could smack himself for being so pathetic if he wasn’t so awestricken. He had never assumed that Kongpob would look bad in anything; he wasn’t sure that was possible. But he hadn’t imagined he could look as good as he did right then.“P’Arthit?” Kongpob said after he had fallen silent. He craned his neck to try and catch Arthit’s eye, but Arthit was one step ahead, looking away each time. “What is it?” His voice fell. “I only have to wear these until my next order of contacts comes in. I’ll be sure to order them quicker next time.”For someone so smart, Kongpob was truly an idiot at times. Luckily, Arthit had become more comfortable not only with his sexuality but also with intimacy over the years. It was completely Kongpob’s doing, so it was only right that he used it on him. He finally allowed himself to meet his boyfriend’s eye, willing his heart to still, before he said, “It’s annoying how good you look in everything.”It wasn’t the mush and gush from the movies, but it seemed enough for Kongpob, his cheeks stretching out into a grin. “You think they look good?” he asked, standing up. How he managed to bounce between moods so easily was beyond him. “Because I always want my boyfriend to think I look good.”“It’s pretty much impossible for you not to,” Arthit mumbled, squawking when Kongpob backed him into the end of the bed. “What do you think you’re doing?” Saying nothing, Kongpob responded by pushing him down onto the mattress, making sure to wrap an arm around his waist to catch him in the process. This guy and his hero complex. “I thought you said we were going to eat dinner.”“What does it look like I’m doing?” Kongpob asked, not taking his eyes off of him as his fingers blindly unbuttoned the top of his dress shirt. “My favorite meal is right here.”“That is by far the dumbest thing you have ever said to me. Why am I dating you again?” Kongpob kissing him soundly was his answer. He supposed there were worse things in the world than having such a handsome boy kiss him. He was still hungry, silently putting those noodles to the back of his mind for later. He’d still make Kongpob go get him some, but for now, he was far too busy. Kissing his boyfriend was his top priority.
