Death; the inevitable fear of a life ending—it would only make sense for the fear of it to equal the pain. However, as the priest groggily opened his eyes, he only found himself to be a bit sore. Blood trickled along his attire, soaking into the deep purple cloth. Perhaps the pain had been numbed, he thought. Enrico’s eyes closed briefly, inhaling the crisp air around him before he gained the strength to open his eyes and look around. Instead of seeing a jail cell, soft dirt pressed against his clothes as arrays of flowery danced along with the wind. The priest couldn’t help but blink for a few moments, thinking this was all some sort of dream. But once he saw a fair-skinned man asleep beside him, he concluded he was either dead or in some sort of personal blissful limbo.Pucci coughed lightly, wiping away the blood that dribbled onto his chin before he cautiously brought a hand over to the fair-skinned man’s hair. Running his bruised fingertips gingerly, he noticed how plush the other man’s hair was. Soft and silky, just as his own. The priest absentmindedly hummed as he continued to stroke the man’s hair. Surely, this must have been the afterlife, for there was no way his brother could have been alive. Yet, Pucci’s curiosity led him to press a finger to his sleeping brother’s cheek. It was warm.It was lively.Enrico was tempted to stir his brother awake, to vigorously shake him to see if heated maggots would come out of his skin. He could not believe his brother could be alive. There was absolutely no way. The priest quickly pressed a hand to his own cheek, feeling his own warmth. He blinked slowly, letting out a shaky sigh, “Ah, this must be some sort of trick of the afterlife.” He was never too sure for what life beyond death held but seeing the brother he hated most was something he wished was out of the equation. If Pucci had enough strength, he would have quickly dashed away from his twin. Alas, there were detrimental cuts and gashes that laced his legs. He was, at least, thankful the pain had not seeped into his mind just yet. And as he scanned the area around his once more, he plopped to the ground and stared at the clouds.Usually clouds would bring a sense of peace to the priest, as he would often glance outside the jail to see the careless wisps of white dance along the skyline. But it was the careless clouds that led to his inevitable demise. Weather Report. Pucci grimaced; if it were not for that stupid child, he would have been alive—leading on DIO’s conquest of heaven. Instead, he was trapped in whatever limbo the world has set him to. Was this heaven? Was this hell? The priest glanced over at his resting twin before he focused his gaze at the sky again, he wasn’t sure anymore. All he could truly decipher is that he was given a choice; to live with his brother or to live ignorantly void of his presence.Pucci softly murmured prime numbers in reverse as he thought about his options, ending his thoughts with a solemn chuckle. He would have loved to choose the second option, but with his legs in their current condition, he was left to suffer with the first choice. The priest chuckled a bit more loudly, God sure loved testing his patience.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Even though the morning sun had descended to the looming night, the world still held its brightness. Pucci was in awe as his eyes darted excitedly from star to star. Seeing the constellations so vividly had led the priest to feel bittersweet; being cooped up in the jailhouse made it virtually impossible for him to star-gaze—let alone the pollution that coated the dark sky with smoke. Pucci let out a sigh, his battered arm reaching upwards in a foolish attempt to touch the luminous orbs. He wondered what DIO would have said if he were beside him. Had the blonde ever grew curious of what space held? Surely, he must have, all the small sets of conversations they held discussed what rested beyond earth’s surface. Enrico narrowed his eyes, finally letting his arm drop back down to the ground. If this was truly the afterlife, DIO would be in for quite the disappointment; there were no shining angels that waited for him by a luxurious gate—there were no clouds to rest his feet on or bellowing sounds of harps that sung into his ear. No, Pucci grimaced, all there is here is dirt and grass. His eyes darted to his still-sleeping brother before tightly shutting his eyes,“And the sins of your past.”He had not intended to say those words out loud, but with his snoring brother undisturbed, he could have cared less. Everything in that moment had felt like some sort of curse. He studied for years, practiced in God’s craft—only for him to awake to this odd sense of hell. Is this what a priest’s life led up to? Pucci groaned loudly again, slamming his fist onto the ground, “Screw this damned place, I don’t belong here! I belong with God!” He continued to thrash around until he heard a disgruntled moan. Just perfect. The priest turned to his side, watching as his brother finally peeked through his slumbered expression. He had blinked slowly, once, twice before he silently sat up. The fair-skinned man gazed at his surroundings before looking down at Pucci. His face held clear confusion and slight anger, but it was to be expected after their whole ordeal with each other.“Where,” he paused, rubbing his throat as he coughed blood, “Where are we?”“Your guess is as good as mine, Weather Report.”The fair-skinned man pursed his lip at the name, lowering his brow, “My name is Wes Bluemarine.” The priest rolled his eyes at the name. He knew his twin’s birth name; Domenico Pucci—however, he would never tell him. To Enrico, Domenico was dead from an incurable disease. The knock-off child some bastard woman had switched for the true Domenico. It sickened Enrico, but what had sickened him more was how “Wes” dare date his precious sister. The priest scowled to himself, he knew his twin had not known it was his sister—and maybe he was a bit crude for sending a gang of murderers against his twin. But Enrico was upset at that time, though not a valid excuse at heart, it was all he could say to himself. The priest glanced at Wes, perhaps the reason for him not going to heaven was because of what he had done to his twin. He had committed a sin. A man faithful to God, to the deity he cared for so deeply—he had sinned. Pucci let out an air of defeat as he sat up, staring directly at his twin’s eyes. They were just like his, he noticed. However, they held something Enrico’s had not; despair, pain, loathing. His twin had suffered over the years and Enrico, being foolishly ignorant, allowed it to be that way. He had sinned. And Wes—Wes was trapped amidst the cloud of guilt which Enrico had made. The priest was far from holy, it had seemed.“I apologize,” Pucci frowned, “Wes Bluemarine, was it?”His twin nodded in response, grumbling to himself about the cold air before he stared up at the sky, “Are we dead?” “Who knows?”“Is this Heaven?”“Far from.”“Hell?”“Doubtful.”Wes let out an irritated groan before he stood up. Pucci noticed the blood from his brother’s chest leaking down to his leg. There was a clear hole in the middle of his chest, but somehow that did not phase the fair-skinned man. The priest then tempted to stand, shocked his legs held enough strength to do so. His twin looked back at him, watching Enrico hesitantly stand. He then noticed the whole in his chest, finally, his empty expression growing dark, “This must be the afterlife. There would be no way for me to breathe with this hole,” he pointed at Pucci’s legs, “and you would not be able to walk.” The priest nodded his head, “It does seem odd.”They stared at each other silently before Bluemarine turned around and began to walk. The priest continued to watch as his brother distanced himself. Pucci, initially, had the urge to turn the other way and walk away as well—but guilt buried into his heart, watching his brother soon-to-disappear from him for the second time. God gave him a second chance. Pucci gulped, this must be the reason why he and his brother were “alive”—to make amends! Enrico shakily took a step towards his brother, and then another, and another until he reached Wes’s side. His twin halted his movement.“Why are you following me?”Pucci’s mouth opened slightly but quickly closed, he was unsure. It was not like he could easily say “I want to be your brother.” And he could not deny that he still held some form of hatred for his fair-skinned twin, despite him analyzing his actions.“I am not sure,” Pucci paused, “I just feel as though I should.”His twin crossed his arms, “Enrico Pucci, I have no sympathy towards you.”“I understand that.”“My life was in shambled because of your actions.”“I understand.”“Everyday was a living hell and each day I wished to die.”“I understand.”“But,” Bluemarine gazed at the stars, “supposedly we are dead, and the world wishes for you to continue my never-ending hell.”“Will you follow that fate?”His twin rose a brow, uncrossing his arms, “Will you?”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Their feet pressed along the grass as they walked, crunching away the soft flowers. They had both agreed that the place they had awoke to had been Limbo—or rather, some form of it. Rather than a pitch-black hole, void of any life or object—the world they had encountered had been similar to their own world. However, as the two continued silently walking amongst each other, they noticed nothing beyond greenery and the sky.“Are there no others around? Are they just hiding,” Pucci frowned, “We have been walking for what feels like ages and there has not been a single soul beyond us?”Weather Report stopped his movement, gazing around before he pressed his shoe against a flower, crushing its stem and petals. He was upset. Pucci knew it was not only because of his question but because of him avoiding Weather’s question from earlier. He had not known what the world wished for the twins to become, and he was unsure if he cared for his brother or if was some sort of façade he built into his heart. The priest bit his lip, fighting his urge to count prime numbers aloud as his brother glared at him. His glare screamed out “What the fuck did you do this time?”—and truthfully, Enrico was just as puzzled as his twin. It would be too coincidental for them to be together, by chance, in this Limbo. But then, what was it?Pucci thought back to his last moments of life; he thought he had achieved victory, gleefully preparing for DIO’s return—only for that bastard child, Emporio, to kill him with his own brother’s stand. Pucci’s eyes widened; Weather’s stand killed him. The world had shut off, forced into a system reset as the priest was sent to die with his brother’s disc. The priest slumped to the ground as he murmured prime numbers. God—fuck! Pucci groaned, causing his twin to grow even more irritated.“Enrico Pucci.”“I,” the priest grimaced, “I…It’s all my fault,” his brother frowned as he continued, “I was killed off by your stand that came from my disc—the disc must have been connected with your soul…oh God why,” Pucci pulled his knees close to him as he groaned against them, “That must be why only the two of us are here!”Weather’s face twitched as his brother’s words slowly processed into his head. He had never felt so pissed off in his life, like at any moment he would burst with fire coming out of his lungs, just as a volcano.“I was dead. I died,” Wes fumed, “but you—you fucking had to ruin my life again didn’t you?!”“Wes, I—”“Shut up,” his twin roared, “You have no right to apologize to me, you bastard! You’re the lowest form of evil, the scummiest human imaginable—and you dare call yourself a priest!”Pucci removed his face from his knees as he looked at his brother; his white hat danced along with the wind and his scowl looked odd-fitted on his usual stoic face. Oddly enough, he looked like an angel. An upset angel that fumed at the devil who tore of his wings. Devil? Enrico’s clutched at his heart, he was a devil—wasn’t he? All he had ever done was cause his brother pain, time and time again. And not only to his brother, Pucci realized, but to all who had encountered him. Even  to DIO—he was a devil for not taking his plan seriously, letting his pride get in the way after defeating the Joestars. He was a failure as a priest—hell, he was a failure as a human. He was a devil in disguise. A hideous, disgusting devil.“You’re right,” Enrico slanted his lips, “I have no right to call myself a priest when I constantly went against God for my own greed and pride,” he stood up, “All I have done was murder, torture, and abuse…I did not deserve the attention DIO gave me, I did not deserve the power my stands held,” Pucci hesitantly gazed at his brother, “I did not deserve to live a well-off life after hurting the only brother I have.”Wes stared silently at the dark-skinned man, still holding his scorn as his brother continued to speak, “I know I will never be able to repent for the sins I have done and I can never undo the abuse I did to you, but brother,” Enrico hesitantly took a step towards Wes, “perhaps we can make amends here.” His brother continued his quietude, occasionally biting his lip in thought. But before he could respond, rain suddenly poured from the sky. The fair-skinned man growled, walking briskly away from his twin. Pucci felt his heart ache, did his brother not accept him, he frowned, it was to be expected, after all he was just a devil.“Are you coming or not, you bastard?”“Wh-What?”Wes sighed angrily, crossing his arms, “This stupid rain is bothering me—I don’t need another reason to be even more pissed off than I already am,” he turned around and began to walk, “Let’s find a cave or something.”Enrico’s mouth slightly dropped as he watched his brother’s steps. He…The priest quickly headed over to his brother, his eyes darting through the thick streams of water as they both searched. Though, Pucci couldn’t help but slightly smile as he did so.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The rain continued to strike the ground as the two twins desperately searched for cover. Though, searching was made difficult from the thick slate of rain that continued to attack them. Pucci winced at the cold pellets as he furrowed his brow, cupping his hands over his head to act as a make-shift umbrella. The priest gulped in fear, worrying that this hell-hole only had flowers and grass dwelling on its surface. It would not seem impossible, considering the other odd factors that were held in this Limbo—but he would be damned if he didn’t wish for an enormous mansion to pop up from the ground.“There!”His twin ran away from his view, hidden by the sheets of water before he felt a slick hand grab at his wrist. Enrico yelped as Wes dashed towards a muddled grey-figure. Upon reaching proximity, the priest noticed it was a set of rocks clung together; a small cave. A sigh of relief flew from his lips as he unconsciously placed his free hand on his brother’s.“Weath—Wes you did it!”His brother rolled his eyes, pushing away the bodily contact they held, “No help from you, as always.”Pucci frowned at his words, stepping into the cave. Well, it was not the mansion he had envisioned, but it would suffice. The priest huffed, not like he had a choice anyway. Enrico glanced around the cave, enjoying the warmth it held—but soon grimacing at the sensation of his wet clothing. Not only was his eight-hundred-dollar outfit ruined—he had no other clothes to change to. He let out a groan as his fingers tugged at the cloth, wincing at the squelching noises it made. His brother noticed his distress and after pondering briefly, he begrudgingly went to Pucci.“Do you think stands work here?”“Not sure,” Enrico pursed his lips, “it’s not like my stand could even help my current situation.”Wes rolled his eyes before he shouted out  his stand’s name. Surely enough, the cloud-like humanoid flew beside his user. Bluemarine closed his eyes in thought as his fingers stroked the stand’s wispy clouds. Eventually, his eyes lulled open as he glanced at his twin.“Take off your clothes.”“Wh-What,” Pucci gripped his sleeves tightly, “I-I beg your pardon?”“For fucks sake Pucci,” the twin slapped his palm on his own head in anger, “my stand can heat up our clothes and make them dry again—and I would rather have them dry instead of some soaking mess!”“I-I see…though it feels odd to take my clothes off in front of you—”“We are brothers—twin brothers, Enrico!”Pucci bit his lip in thought as he soon sunk his head in defeat. He was right, wasn’t he? They are brothers—he shouldn’t feel so humiliated. But they had been more like strangers to each other more than siblings, twins at that. The priest fumbled as he took off his top, slightly shivering as the air pressed against his chilled skin. He averted his gaze from his brother as he handed his top over, quickly taking of his pants as his finger-tips hovered over his briefs.“These too?”“Would you seriously want to walk around this place with wet underwear?”Enrico glanced at his annoyed brother, “You make a fair point—could you, uh, look away?”“As if I wasn’t already,” his brother spat out, “I have no desire to look at your body, nor should you to me!”Pucci felt his face flush as he took off his last bit of clothing, embarrassment flooding his veins. Wes snatched away his clothing, already nude himself as he used his stand to heat the clothing.“It’ll take a while.” His fair-skinned brother sighed as he sat on the cool ground, watching the rain dance along the grass. The priest hesitantly sat beside him, avoiding his primal urge to glance down and compare his length. They both continued to stare at the heavy down-pour, their minds drifting into their own thoughts. It felt calming—and though Pucci was stark naked next to his twin, this moment was pure bliss. He knew his brother would never like to admit it—but perhaps this was the start to their brotherly bonding. The priest smiled softly at the thought.“Who is DIO?”“DIO?”His twin rose a brow, “You mentioned about how you ‘didn’t deserve DIO’ in your outburst.”“Ah I suppose I did say that didn’t I,” Enrico sighed as he ran a hand through his wet locks, “DIO was a man I loved dearly—even more-so than God.” Wes hummed as his brother continued, “He cured my bad foot and kept me company during my years of college,” Pucci bit his lip as he reminisced, “though he would only read and discuss about gravity, my heart would soar—threatening to burst whenever he was around.”“You really fell for him, didn’t you?” His twin’s voice lacked emotion as his gaze drifted blankly at the rain. Pucci gazed at him for a moment before he responded,“More than anything in the world.”Wes chuckled dryly, “Just like how I loved Perla.”The priest winced at the name of his sister—their sister. Suddenly memories of his darling sister flooded through his sight; her blonde hair dancing freely with the wind as he would push her on the swings, closing his eyes tightly as he faintly heard her joyous laughter. Oh how he missed his dear Perla.“She was your sister, Wes.”Bluemarine glanced at his brother before returning his gaze to the rain, “At the time she was not—nor were you my brother.”“Am I now?”Wes frowns, “Who knows, though our blood may be similar, we are as different as twins could be—from skin to heart.”Pucci repeated his words in his mind as he slumped on the ground, resting his elbows on the ground, “You make a fair point—though blood runs thicker than water.”“Blood drains just as easily,” Wes’s expression darkens, “especially when being constantly back-stabbed.”Enrico averts his gaze as his brother stands up to check on the clothing. Quickly, tossing the priest his garments; both silently putting them on before returning to their seats, watching the rain fall.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Their footsteps trotted along the greenery, slightly sinking into the new-found mud that the rain had bestowed upon them. Pucci felt bittersweet about the rain stopping its downfall. On one hand, he was thankful that the cold, harsh weather hand ended—but on the other, he finally had a chance to hang out with his brother in a more intimate setting. Enrico’s lips twitched into a crooked grin as he reminisced, it felt pleasant. Still with joyful moments, there will always be a tragic end—and that end being the skies clearing up. The priest internally grieved, missing the warmth the cave held as his brother had decided to venture on.They both were inquisitive about what this place had held—and beyond that, there was no one else around and not much to do—thus, they continued to explore the area. Pucci often felt that they must have looped in the same area as no matter where they stepped, there were only grass and flowers found. He internally wished the cave would appear again, having the growing desire to rest despite his body not feeling tired at all. Pucci pondered to himself, these death wounds had not stung, and his vitality did not falter. The priest rose a brow at the sky, halting his steps, he felt empty—in more ways than one. Not only was his body hollow-feeling and numb, but his mind constantly drew a blank. Nothing felt coherent to him—not that it should, especially in this Limbo—however, he wished he could find the words to get his brother to be more at ease. It was odd of him to think of this, feeling like a school-girl desperately trying to get the attention of her high-school crush. But he could not help it; his guilt grew with each breath he took.He hurt his brother over a trivial matter.Of course, it was not trivial at the time—it was his sister, for goodness sake! But Wes was his brother as well. Enrico closed his eyes, letting the wind caress his cheek. He didn’t know how to think of the situation anymore. Everything felt bizarre to the priest. If only he did not have an outburst, if only Wes did not date Perla, if only that damned woman did not steal his younger twin brother—“Enrico?”The priest opened his eyes, moving his gaze from the clouds to his puzzled twin. His mouth slightly opened but remained silent, internally knowing that whatever would come from his lips would pester the fair-skinned. Bluemarine continued to stare at his twin before he sat on the plush ground, staring at the sky. Pucci followed suit, thankful for the walking break. The dark-skinned twin fumbled around with the variety of flowers that lay before them. Flowers, themselves, were not exciting—but when in a desolate area, there is only so much to be entertained with. And thus, Pucci’s fingers traced along the petals’ veins, lightly plucking at stray thorns or caressing the prickly leaves. His younger brother continued to stare at the sky, occasionally his eyes would peek over at Enrico’s hand with interest. And eventually, his sight remained fixated on Pucci’s hand fumbling with the flowers. His own hand twitched slightly, as if it was eager to toy around with vegetations as well. Rather than indulging in that thought, Wes laid down on the flower bed, closing his eyes tightly as he rested. The priest’s fingers halted briefly as he listened to the soft breaths emitting from his brother’s lips. He released a breath of his own as he returned his focus on the flowers. Different colors and plants illuminated the dull grass beneath it—but there was one flower that Pucci could not get his eyes off. His fingers darted through the flora as he swiftly clipped off the flower with his finger-tips; a rose. A plant that emitted more meaning than words ever could. Enrico closed his eyes, if only he could do the same. His eyes fluttered open, deciding to think about the happier times in life. DIO. The priest lifted the rose up in the air, seeing a faint image of DIO wisp away through the clouds. He would be lying if he said he did not miss the blonde. Enrico’s lips twitched into a scowl as he wished he could have showered DIO with the affection he so dearly held for him. Instead, all he had done was sit idly beside the vampire as he pushed his feelings aside. Pucci chuckled miserably to himself, he always promised to tell DIO his true feelings once he returned to Florida. But that day never came, the man he loved dearly died at the hands of Jolyne’s father; Jotaro Kujo. Pucci wished he had told the blonde—perhaps he would have stayed with him and lived together as a wonderous couple—Enrico sighed at that remark. No, he knew how DIO was; dead-set on achieving heaven. There was no time for romance. No time for dates. No time for Enrico. The priest bit his lip as his fingertips pressed into the rose’s thorns. The beauty of the rose covered by the prickling barbs as its base—it was just like DIO. The dark-skinned man contemplated vacantly at the rose, his opinions of the vampire soon swirling away into wisps as they drifted away with the looming clouds.A droplet of water soon pressed onto his resting palm, causing his blank stare to blink back into reality. His eyes darted at the sky, assuming that rain began to form. However, the sun continued to blare brightly with its rays and each cloud held a joyous blue hue. That was when Pucci tentatively compelled a finger to his cheek, his eyes widening as he felt a warm stream of liquid pool onto his index. He was crying. Enrico, shockingly, was not surprised by this fact. He felt pain, remorse, confusion—so many emotions bubbled within him, it was inevitable that he would soon breakdown from it all.His fingers clutched the rose tightly, pressing it against his chest. He wished he could have reversed time to warn DIO of his death. He wished he could have been together with DIO—perhaps even gain the courage to kiss him—the priest frowned as his grip lessened on the rose. His eyes glanced over at his twin who softly snored beside him. A pained smile etched onto the priest’s face. He was being selfish, wasn’t he? Pucci leaned over his brother, staring directly at his sleeping face. His sight danced around his twin’s angelic features before he leaned in, pressing a chaste kiss onto his brother’s forehead. His lips hovered over the younger’s head as his heart surged with warmth. Pucci sighed as he pulled away, watching over his twin before he glanced back at the rose he held, placing it on his brother’s chest. And with one final gaze at the fair-skinned, Enrico fell onto his back, letting the wind press against his skin as he drifted off to sleep.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Wes!”
The white-haired man turned away from the television, his eyes blinking away the static as blonde tresses came into view. His lips curled into a smile as he enthusiastically hopped out of the couch. His legs leaped over the wooden tiles as his hands twisted around the blonde’s waist.“My beautiful, dear Perla!”Wes tilted his head as he gave his girlfriend a loving kiss, his grin growing wider as their tongues pirouetted along with one another. The girl giggled as she felt Wes grab at her bottom, pulling them closer together. It was a bit silly, Wes had to admit, he always acted like a dog finally seeing its owner after a long day of work—but it was not like he could help it. He was elated to see the woman of his dreams wake up at his bedside at times, to see her swish around her sundress—even seeing her in sweatpants made his heart jump for joy. He loved Perla beyond anything in the world, hell, he loved her more than he did his own mother.Wes lifted the blonde, briefly twirling her around as they both roared with laughter, “Oh Perla, I missed you so much.”“I was only gone for five minutes,” she chuckled as her boyfriend gingerly placed her onto the couch. Wes brushed away a stray blonde lock of hair behind her ear before he sat beside her. He pursed his lips playfully as he took her hand in his, “Each minute feels like a century without you, my love.”Wes took her hand and placed a chaste kiss onto it, closing his eyes as he felt the warmth radiating from her skin. He could bask in that moment for an eternity; the wondrous scent of gilded roses, her golden hair that shined beside his cloudy-white locks. She was his sun.She was all he needed.Bluemarine opened his eyes to gaze at his lover, his sultry gaze soon faltering as his sight met with barren sockets. He jumped away from Perla, removing his hand from her own. His lips parted as he gasped, watching the hand crumble away into a sloshed pile of meat and skin. Her blonde locks frayed, thinning as each second past.
She was dead.
Wes screamed loudly as his eyes bolted open. He pressed a hand to his chest, attempting to steady his shaken breath. His other hand flinched, feeling soft dirt loom within his finger nails. That’s right, he huffed, he was never with Perla—he was stuck in this hell. He let out a choked gasp as he furiously wiped away his lingering tears. He wished he could have relived the first few seconds of his dream repeatedly. He swore he felt Perla’s lips on his own—her skin on his, her hair—Wes let out a whimper as tears stained his cheek. He missed her. God, he missed her.His lips twitched as his sobbing soon fell silent, sadness sinking away into bitterness as he sat up. He felt something roll off his chest, causing him to quickly wipe away his remaining tears to fade away the blurriness. Wes stared at the fallen object before turning towards his sleeping-twin. The light-skinned scowled as he held up the rose with his fingertips, twisting and turning it around.Perla had always smelled like roses and though Wes had the burning desire to smell the rose, he knew his heart would shatter at the familiar scent. He had already cried enough for today. Wes sighed as he pressed his finger gently against the thorns. Enrico had caused his precious rose to wilt. His foul brother made her die. Wes gritted his teeth, and he ruined his life.It bothered the younger twin, how his brother could attempt to move on past his actions—to act as if they could be affectionate brothers with one another. Wes stood up, gripping the rose tightly. He doesn’t get it. He never did. The pain he had to endure—Enrico had never faced it, leisurely living his life as if his sister had not died because of him. He tossed the rose away, watching it as it carelessly fell onto Pucci’s chest, lingering over his heart. Wes stared at it blankly, his sight darting from the rose to his brother’s innocent expression before he turned his gaze to the landscape. His feet kicked at the ground in mindless thought, it would be pointless to indulge in petty ideas—though he would have loved to kick at his brother to stir him. He hated his brother, but he was stuck with him for who knows how long.Wes pressed a hand to his hollow stomach, feeling around the edges. He had slowly begun to heal. Though, he was unsure of what the healing had meant, Bluemarine could only hope that it was a sign. Of course, he had no idea what the sign would be or what it would mean—but any sort of hope he could cling onto was all he needed at this point. He turned slightly towards his brother, watching wordlessly before his view fell to the rose. The petals gleamed against the sun, twinkling against his brother’s midnight skin. And as it slightly danced along Pucci’s chest as he breathed, the younger twin could only see it as a shooting star, anticipating a wish to grant. Though, he could only wonder what request it desired.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

During his past life, Enrico would often awake to the sound of birds chirping, giddily tweeting amongst each other as they beckoned the priest to rise. Other times, it would be to the sound of an alarm, its tone dulling with each day as the battery within it decayed. Though he rather enjoyed the sweet hums of the birds, waking up to any familiar sound would warm Pucci’s heart at this point.Sadly, his wish was not granted. His eyes slowly opened, blinking away the tiredness from his eyes as his ears only found the sound of his own soft breathing and the air above. The sky was the same as it was every day—minute—or whatever this Limbo’s time-frame was; a bright blue hue with a few wisps of clouds trailing along the sun’s rays. Normally to anyone, this would be a pleasing sight to see, but seeing the same shade of blue every time his eyes fluttered awake had led the priest only to distress. He continued to watch the sky mindlessly, void of any thoughts. Limbo was an eerily calming place. Pucci’s lips twitched slightly, the calm before the storm. He couldn’t help but feel uneasy with each moment passing. How long would he stay here? The priest worried his lip in question, soon blinking away the notion as he sat up. His gaze hazily drew to the empty space beside him; Wes was gone. Enrico’s finger-tips brushed along the crushed stems and bruised grass where his twin had previously rested on; the greenery felt chill to his touch, as if scorning him. He retracted his hand soon after, feeling the dewy residue on his palms.Had his twin finally given up on him? It was not an unusual inference, especially with the continuous resentment the fair-skinned gave his way. Yet, Pucci’s heart felt torn, should he be happy—should he feel distressed? He was conflicted; having his brother continuously remind him of his wrong-doings in the past felt like a curse—and yet somehow, a blessing. This was finally a chance for him to correct himself, to make amends—though novels make it seem so easy. Tell the person how they are sorry and they suddenly make peace among one another. The priest chuckled lightly, if only it were that simple. Each word he uttered to his twin fell on deaf ears—and truthfully, Pucci felt more as a chore to his twin than as a sibling. The dark-skinned scratched at his head, exhausted; having stressful thoughts in the morning would do him no good later on. And as he finally broke away from his stupor, he noticed a familiar flora that flimsily clung to his suit from its thorns. Enrico grimaced at the continuous damage his suede outfit had to endure as he cautiously plucked the rose from his chest. He twisted the rose around; a beautiful creation of red petals and elongated leaves. Though behind its beauty held pain, each burden prickling outwards as barbs. Pucci slowly placed his fingers on a thorn, gingerly breaking it off. The priest’s lips curled into a small smile as he tossed away the thorn. His eyes scurried around the flower, eager to break away the painful thorns before he saw one of the rose’s petal rip away from the wind. The silky red shape coiled around the wind’s breeze, Enrico’s vision following its every move as it sunk into a pale palm.Wes gazed at the sudden red color in his palm before turning around, facing his twin as their eyes met. Pucci’s grip tightened on the rose as his mouth fell agape. He desired to yell out towards his brother, though he soon realized he had nothing to say—or rather he was unsure of what to say. The priest watched the petal wrap around his twin’s thumb, seamlessly becoming attracted to it. Beauty, pain…Pucci bit his inner cheek as Wes kneeled to brush aside the stray thorn that landed on his shoe. And burdens. Burdens that Enrico had caused. Wounds that would continue to scar and haunt his brother. Would he ever be seen as a brother to Wes? Pucci turned away from his twin as he clutched onto the rose, he truly hoped so.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The fair-skinned man placed a hand onto his abdomen; at first, he had expected his hand to go through the gaping hole—except this time, this hand was met with a scarred set of abs. Wes hummed to himself as he felt around the ridges of the scarred flesh, his fingers following the bumps that connected the scar to his skin. He was healing. Albeit, his stomach still was sensitive to the touch, but now the wind did not irritate his innards.Wes peered over at his twin, who lazily stared at the sky. The younger of the two grabbed a handful of grass, tossing it haphazardly at the darker. Pucci rose a brow, moving his gaze from the clouds to the strands of green that dangled by his leg. However, rather than focusing on the fragments of flora, the priest glanced at his legs; the large cuts reduced to small bruises that pressed against his skin. If only his clothes could be just as restored. Enrico grimaced as he flicked away the grass, wiping away the residual pollen on his knees before looking at his brother.“Was that really necessary for you to do?”His twin shrugged, “It was either that or a kick in the back.”“Wow, you sure know how to get someone’s attention so graciously.”“I try.”“I was being sarcastic, Wes.”Bluemarine shrugged once more before mindlessly flicking his fingers at the grass nearby him, “As was I, Enrico.”The priest rolled his eyes before returning his focus back to his leg. He tapped around the bruise before pressing the purpled hue. He whirred at its slight sting as he glimpsed over at Wes’s abdominal; he, too, had begun to heal. And with his curiosity taking ahold of his movement, he placed his palm on his twin’s torso, gingerly moving his hand around the somewhat pink scar until Wes pulled him away with his wrist. The younger of the two stared silently at the other, his gaze holding irritation and confusion. Pucci merely sighed at his expression, waving away his grip, “It’s all so odd.” Wes furrowed his brow as he continued, “Us suddenly healing—could this be a sign of some sort,” Pucci worried his lip, “could we be moving on to the afterlife?”“To the afterlife?”Enrico nodded as he crossed his legs, “This…Limbo, or whatever it may be—it might be the gateway to Heaven.”“Or Hell.”The priest glared at his brother before letting out a groan, “Or Hell, yes.”Wes ignored his twin’s heated gaze as he ran a hand through his hair. He pursed his pale lips in thought; Pucci’s glare soon faltering to a low grimace, sinking into a minor pout. The eldest of the two soon fell to the ground, unwinding his legs in the process as he laid sprawled out. Wes continued to sit on the plush surface, his mind wandering in its own realm before closing his eyes.“Do you think our stands will carry on through afterlife?”The priest huffed, “I would rather enjoy my time in Heaven without three stands reminding me of my faults.”“Hell,” Wes corrected, “and I suppose you have a fair point—though having those stands could make you power hungry.”“Power hungry…”“Mhm,” the fair-skinned rested his chin on his fist, “maybe you’ll try to achieve something over Heaven itself, killing people just as you had before.” Pucci held a distinct frown as Wes continued, “you could even use your stand here and strike me,” he glanced at his brother, “but would you be willing to become a monster yet again, to destroy the last of your haunting memories?”Enrico paused at his words, taken aback, “If I knew we still had stands when I first woke up—I would not have hesitated to do it,” he paused,” However, I was ignorant back then and finally, spending time with you—albeit short—had opened my eyes to a new light.”Wes’s lips slightly parted in shock, unable to speak. Pucci gave an awkward smile as he sat upwards, toying with the flowers on the ground, “I wish I was not so stubborn and foolish when we were alive—perhaps we could have been great brothers.”His twin remained silent, staring at the flora before he placed a hand over Enrico’s, “Your words hold warmth, but for some reason, in my heart, I cannot believe them.”“You don’t need to,” Pucci gingerly moves off his sibling’s hat, allowing his full locks of hair to spill out underneath. He picked up a small daisy his fingers fumbled around with previously, pressing the flower carefully into his twin’s hair, “actions speak louder than words.”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

A loud crackling noise blared through the sky, shards of white condemned the ground with a thunderous roar; it was yet another rain storm. However, unlike their first trial with the weather, this storm held a vicious strength. Rain continued to attack the ground, pelting the frail grass with liquid bullets. The eldest of the twins let out a low grumble, distained over his outfit continuously being ruined. Pucci squinted his eyes as he felt the squelching fabric in despair, soon fumbling his hand along the muddied ground until it connected with his brother. The flower he had placed on Wes’s hair slid from the tresses, riding down the fair-skin’s outfit until it limply sunk into a puddle. Bluemarine remained stoic despite the harsh rain beating his skin, closing his eyes tiredly regardless of having slept for hours on end. The priest grasped the latter’s hand firmly, urging the younger to struggle a gaze at his twin.“Let’s find a fissure,” Pucci grimaced, “being pelleted by rain is not a fun pastime.”Wes pondered for a moment before slightly squeezing his twin’s hand, acting as a que for Pucci to pull him up. The younger slightly slipped along the mud as he got up, soon reaching out to clasp onto his brother’s shoulders. He rose his sight from the ground to Pucci, his long eyelashes languidly collecting water until they splashed onto his cheek. The priest’s eyes widened, thinking back to when he had first seen Wes in the Limbo; an angel. Despite the grotesque tempest that disturbed their peace, Wes stood carelessly in the storm; his body casting a radiant glow that deeply contrasted the dark atmosphere. Enrico pulled his twin close to him, and he was just a shadow. A shadow so easily consumed by the darkness.Wes furrowed his brow, puzzled at his twin’s actions and at the unpleasant texture of moist suede that pressed against him, “Enrico, unless your disgusting purple suit is a cave, unhand me.”The priest would have normally barked about how his “disgusting suit” was a high-end fashion attire, but as he felt the mud seep into his shoes, his lips quivered shut. He gritted his teeth as he gave one final embrace, closing his eyes tightly. Silently wishing for his twin’s bright stare could lull him from the obscurities before he hesitantly pulled away.“Sorry,” Pucci turned away before cautiously reaching out for Wes’s hand, “let’s head for the cavern.”--Their footsteps squished sickeningly along the browned grass, soon slowing down to a halt as they stumbled upon a fissure. Though it was not as large and comforting as the previous cave, the two were thankful to not feel the sting of water attacking their head. The eldest of the two let out a loud huff, falling onto the ground tiredly as he silently lamented over the damage to his shoes. Wes rolled his eyes as he shouted out his stand’s name; he attempted to start a fire to keep them warm, but the raging tempest continued to blow out the flames. The pale twin gritted his teeth, realizing the severity of the situation—and the echoes of chattered teeth did not help in soothing his mind.Pucci soon sat upwards, tucking his head into his knees in a weak effort to warm himself. Alas, his teeth continued to jitter wildly; the priest could only wish he was not disturbing his twin so much with his loud noise. And as he tried to silence his chattering, he felt an arm lazily wrap around him, presently drawing him in. Enrico’s eyes quickly darted as his twin, stunned as Wes held onto him tightly.“W-Wes?”“I’m only doing this because it’s cold.”Pucci stared at his brother momentarily before he decided to not press further into the issue, sinking into the new-found embrace and the warmth it held. His sight danced along side the drippings from cave’s outer surface, enjoying the surreal moment before closing his eyes. Could this have happened to them if Wes was not switched at birth? Enrico’s lip twitched as he shuffled closer to his twin. He wondered what having a brother would have been like—how rough-housing could have been. The priest chuckled slightly at the thought of a young Wes chasing after him in a childish rage. Though, then he wondered, what would he be angry about? What toys would he have preferred? Did he enjoy cartoons? There was so much Pucci did not know about his brother—could he even call him a brother at that point? Wes was right, the priest frowned, they were nothing more than strangers weren’t they? He dryly swallowed, removing his gaze from the ground as he pressed his knees closer to himself.
“Enrico.”
The priest groggily glanced upwards, following the finger that pointed outwardly to the storm. Pucci blinked slowly, squinting his eyes as he tried to make sense of what Wes pointed at. And then he saw it; a translucent arch that glistened beside the gloomy clouds. A glorious rainbow jutted out from the sky, exposing its vibrant hues to the sullen grass. Enrico couldn’t help but stare in awe, a smile slowly etching itself onto his face.“It’s beautiful.”Wes hummed in agreement, cracking a rare smile that Pucci saw through his peripherals. The priest nudged close to his twin, resting his head on the younger’s shoulder. No, the weren’t strangers, Enrico’s gaze traveled from the rainbow to his twin, his sight met with blue orbs; they were brothers.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Pucci’s eye lids fluttered open, lazily blinked away as the priest took in his surroundings; the rain continued to pitter-patter along the ground. His clothing felt atrociously cold and tight from excessive moisture. Enrico cringed before shifting to his side, his face met with the soft snores from his twin. He couldn’t help but take in the angelic expression on his sleeping face, hesitantly reaching a hand out to wipe away the wet strands of hair that hovered over his twin’s eyelashes. Wes grunted at the contact, squinting his eyes as he peered at the elder.“What are you doing?”“There was a stray strand of hair on your face.”Wes exhaled through his nose before closing his eyes once more. The priest glazed his sight over his twin, biting his inner cheek as he pondered aimlessly. He ended resting on his side, staring at the cave’s inner crevices.“What’s your favorite color?”Wes hummed tiredly, “Huh?”“Your favorite color,” Pucci fiddled with his hand fingernails, “what is it?”His younger twin rubbed his face, attempting to wipe away his tiredness as he grumbled, “Blue—like a dark blue, I guess,” he yawned.“Oh, blue…that color really suits you,” Enrico twitched his lips, “mine is a deep velvety purple.”His twin grunted in response, releasing another yawn before stretching his limbs as much as he could while laying down. The priest glanced over before returning to his mind, his thoughts swirling into a powerful gust that shoved more questions against his temples.“What’s your favorite number?”“I don’t know—one, I guess?”“And your favorite TV show?”“Courage the Cowardly Dog?”“Favorite Disney character?”Wes furrowed his brow, “Enrico why are you acting like a survey?”“I just,” the priest let out a low sigh, “I just wanted to know more about you—even though you are my twin brother, I know absolutely nothing about you.”“And so now you’re abrading me with questions?”“Yes, I apologize for—”“Alright,” Wes cracked his knuckles before releasing another yawn, “I’ll indulge in your questionnaire—it’s not like there is much else to do.”Pucci’s eyes lit up as he faced his twin, continuing to ask about mindless facts. From favorite songs to shirt designs, the priest blabbered question after question, his chest soaring from learning more about his brother. He bit his lip, pausing after his last question, he wished he could have gotten Wes’s favorite items. He wished he could have given him his favorite typed of stuffed animal as a child, turning on his little night-light while giving him his favorite warm milk with a dribble of honey. He wished they could have walked along the beach’s sand together, running to get a hefty scoop of vanilla ice-cream after working up a sweat. Pucci tightened his fist, if only that bastard woman had not snatched him from birth.“Enrico?”“I wish,” the priest bit his lip, “I wish you weren’t taken away by that woman who pretended to be your mother—I so desperately wished I could have been there for you, doing mindless tasks together—I wish I could have taken care of you,” he let out a choking whimper, tears slipping past his squinted eyes, “if only we could have been brothers…Why is it that we must succumb to such a disgusting fate?”“I,” Wes lowered his head, “I’m not sure myself.”“I’m so sorry for hurting you Wes—I’m so so so sorry.”Enrico pursed his quivering lips as he wailed out apologies; his twin hesitantly patting his back as he cried. Wes had fought back his own set of tears, realizing how one woman ruined their fate completely. They could have been a regular, happy family. Wes shut his eyes tightly as he pulled Pucci into a sudden embrace.“I’m sorry too, Enrico.”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The rain finally whittled away, allowing the twins to continue their journey. Though the ground was slightly muddied, walking on the terrain was manageable. Pucci was thankful to have his clothes warmed up by Wes’s stand, glad to not have the squelching cloth on his skin—but having stiff velvet is not pleasant either. Alas, as they say, beggars can’t be choosers, and so Pucci continued pacing alongside his twin, prepared to witness the usual sight of flora and clouds.Oddly enough, that was not the case; after walking for a few miles past the fissure, they were met with a small circle in the ground made of stone. On the stone rested a white, thin table with matching slender chairs. Wes blinked his eyes repeatedly as he cautiously approached the table, realizing there rested a bottle of wine that complimented the steaks on either side of the table. The twins glanced at each other before hovering over the table, their legs hesitantly moving to sit on the chairs. Wes stared at the food, picking at it with the utensils beside it.“It looks real.”“It tastes real.”Wes furrowed his brow as he watched Enrico take a hearty bite of steak. Rather than yelling at his twin, he observed the steak, in awe.“What does this all mean?”The priest shrugged as he reached for the wine, sabering it open before pouring a drink for the both of them, “I suppose the world is giving us a treat for suffering through all this rain.”The younger twin chucked lightly, cutting up his steak before taking a bite. His stomach growled at the taste, desiring more. The two of them soon after devoured their food, a new-found hunger bellowing out from their insides. Wes tapped along his stomach, noticing the pinkish scar had vanished. He was fully healed. Enrico noticed this as well, examining his own legs as they made eye contact.“Do you think this is a sign of moving on?”Pucci wondered this as well, beginning to feel a bit disheartened. He was solemn over the thought if Wes would continue to view him as a villain in the afterlife—or if Wes would even be around with him. He was sure that he was destined for Hell after ruining his twins’ life. However, as they quietly ate, Wes paused, raising his wine glass, causing Pucci to be confused briefly before letting out a relived sigh. And without a word, they slightly clink their glasses together before taking a substantial sip. Enrico’s lips puckered in bliss, enjoying the wine as Wes cracked a rare smile, soon growing stone-faced in silent thought. The priest glanced at the sky, casually watching the clouds sway in the breeze before he let out a gasp. His sight widening as he saw the sky twist and turn, a small sliver of the sky cracking out as it fell onto the ground before turning into dust. He turned noiselessly at Wes, stunned. His brother grew still."Did…the sky just—""Fall?" Pucci worried his lip, "Yes."
"Well, shit."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Did that really just happen? Are you sure the drink didn’t make us hallucinate?”“If we were hallucinating—would we really see the sky have a literal hole in it?”Wes groaned as he stared at the sky, pinching the bridge of his nose before indulging in more wine, “This is insane.”Enrico nodded, pouring himself another cup himself as he continued to stare at the sky, “Well at least this Limbo isn’t so boring.”“Oh ha, ha,” the younger twin rolled his eyes, letting a smirk slide through his stony expression. The two of them exchanged glances between themselves to the sky, deciding to indulge in mindless drabble as the continued to feast. Though as the steak became only bones shortly after, the twins continued to rest at the table, feeling around the wooden texture. Even though it was a standard table, it was like a treasure to them. Not only had it bestowed them food, it gave them new sensations to explore beyond the constant grass, mud, and water. Pucci was even tempted to lick the table, his curiosity becoming so profound as he leaned towards the wood. However, after Wes tapped on the table’s surface, the priest blinked away the enticement. Instead, they continued to sit at the table, silently enjoying the last of their wine before the bottle ran dry."Odd of me to say, but I think we should enjoy what little moments we have here left, Wes.""Why do you say that, brother?""The sky is falling," Pucci chuckles before he chokes out a stop, stunned at Wes calling him his brother. His twin rose a brow before shrugging, "Then let the sky fall, this wouldn't be the first strange experience here."The both let out a chuckle before they get up from their chairs, staring at the now-empty plates."Should we really leave this place—what if more food comes? I found myself having an appetite again," Pucci frowns, "and the wine…""If we wait and stare at empty plates, our hunger will only grow--come," Wes grabbed Pucci's hand, "let's go."The priest sighs, fumbling over his footing before he follows along begrudgingly.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Pucci and Wes continue to wonder around, noticing the small flecks in the blue sky growing black, cracks slowly seeping through. Within the black flecks held abstract shapes that shifted and distorted into various images. They paused to glance at the sky, watching the twisting imagery before hesitantly walking again.“You know, as I child I was pretty reckless,” Enrico smiled softly, “my foot was distorted beyond belief and so I would thrash around the house—I was always so eager to explore the large mansion despite the ache in my soles.”Wes glanced at his brother as they continued to walk, “Your foot was injured?”“For a time,” he nodded, “but DIO healed my foot—and I am ever so gracious.”His twin hummed, scratching his nose as he recalled about the “DIO” man Pucci had mentioned before.“It seemed you had a decent childhood without me.”Pucci grimaced, “Because I had not known you existed for so long, surely your childhood was similar to that extent.”“I suppose you have a point,” Wes shrugged, “my childhood was as bland and typical as any other child in Florida.”“Bold of you to assume Florida is normal.”The twins let out a cackle as the continued pacing over the flora. The fair-skinned of the two occasionally stretched out his arms, biting a bit on his tongue to stifle a yawn that threatened to escape his lips. The priest continued to blabber about his childhood, recalling all the intimate moments with DIO and his time as a priest—making sure to explain to Wes how he could twist a cherry stem into a bow with his tongue, earning him a nod of approval. Pucci lets out a wry laugh, before frowning, a wave of bittersweet emotions enveloping him; his heart aching more over how their lives could have been together. Wes stared at him momentarily before speaking, continuing about his own childhood briefly, soon stopping once he met Perla."And well, "Wes turns away, "you know what happens afterwards…"Enrico bit his inner cheek as he closed his eyes, nodding. They both continued to walk silently."Wes," Pucci frowns, "do you still see me as a monster, a burden of evil?"His twin paused his steps, crossing his arms, "As soon as you woke here, you have been a groveling mess, constantly spewing out apologies. Does a true-hearted monster do such things?""I…suppose you have a point."Wes stared at the flowers before kneeling down, "This world is strange. The vast nothingness beyond a white table, the sky is falling, and I am trapped with you," he sighed, "maybe it's the fact that my wounds have healed, or the properties of the wine we drank--but for a moment, I did not mind you being around.""Wes…"Before the priest could ask for an elaboration, Wes laid on the ground, closing his eyes as he drifted to sleep.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The next day soon loomed over, Pucci still questioned the Limbo's current state as more cracks in the sky flickered to the ground. The twins found another fissure on their expenditure, finding it convenient during their current state of confusion and uncertainty. Wes decided to stay in the cave after their nightly stay. Pucci grew fearful of what would happen if one shard of the sky would hit either of them. Better safe than sorry, as they say. Wes gazed upwards as he examined the sky, wondering how long it would hold up until the entire field of blue crackled into nothingness. He would be lying if he said he was not scared-but he knew for a fact that his older brother was more terrified than he."Isn't this what you wanted," Wes sighed, "more excitement in the stale place?"Pucci let out a wry hoot, "This is not the excitement I had intended for."They snickered frivolously before they heard a grouse. The priest rose a brow at Wes who had turned away from him, "I haven't heard that sound in ages.""We must be getting our appetites back."Pucci nodded, "Now that you mention it, I've also gained a sense of pain again--the numbing from my wounds before now have a slight ache.""Is this a sign of life?""You know," Pucci smiled, "you always ask me questions as if I know the answer.""Who else am I supposed to ask? God?"Pucci rolled his eyes as he rested his hands on his knee, "I've asked God many questions and he has yet to answer one," he closed his eyes, "perhaps our words cannot reach the heavens."Wes pursed his lip slightly, frowning at the distraught Pucci before he picked up a stem of grass, "Grass, why is the sky falling? Are we doomed?"He waved the grass stem around flimsily as he spoke in a high-pitched voice, "Hell if I know!"He peeked an eye at Pucci, who in turn let out a chortle."You're absolutely ridiculous," he laughed."Am I," Wes let out a small smirk, "If God isn't answering and you can't reach 'em, might as well ask mother earth herself."Pucci sighed with a grin, "I suppose so, huh?"Wes let out a rare smile as he tossed the grass onto the ground, "Well with whatever is happening, there really is no point to be frustrated anymore over mindless things.""Couldn't have said it better myself."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Pucci's eyes widened as he watched the crack in the sky flicker before warping into a large circle. Wes stood still as he latched onto his hat, fearing it would fly away. The twins glanced at each other."Is this the end," Wes murmurs, "are we finally going to the afterlife?"Pucci squinted at the sky, "Oddly enough—especially coming from a former priest, I don't think so—look!"The dark-skinned man pointed at a cracked slit in the sky, showing a small town with a small group of people entering a car. The twins audibly gasped.
"Jolyne Cujoh!"
Wes took a step forward, in awe, "Ermes, Anasui—even Emporio!""Wait," Pucci froze, "Emporio…Wes I have a feeling that this world we are seeing is not our own.""What do you mean?""I…I destroyed the world we used to be in with my stand, the force of time rapidly spinning—ultimately creating a parallel to an alternative universe.""Enrico—""That hole," Pucci frowned, "that is the alternate world—holding the alternate Jolyne and others."Wes stared at his twin in shock, blinking slowly."This is another chance at life.""Would you take that chance, Wes?"Is fair-skinned twin thought silently before taking another step, "It's better than being trapped in this void forever," he paused, "if this is really a new world, maybe we too could start anew."Pucci was taken aback by this, though his brother had finally gained his trust, he was unsure of what the alternate world held."What if we were not brothers in the universe, what if we know not of each other?"Wes lets out a snort, "Maybe that is for the best—but," he looked at his twin, "if that is the case, I'm glad to have our relationship finally reach its closure.""Are you saying you finally accept me as your brother?"Wes stared at his twin before he sighed, taking a few steps before he hesitantly embraced his twin, "I can never forget the past and the pain that haunts me—but through being here together," he sighed, "You grew, I grew—and as odd as this may sound, I think I may see you as a brother—but only a little." he let out a smirk.Pucci chuckled at his words as he embraced the hug before pulling away to stare at the sky as their hands intertwined."I'm nervous.""Well seeing all the people you killed be reincarnated can be quite a sight."Pucci let out a wry laugh, "it seems it’s my turn to be haunted by my past," he glanced at his brother, "and for you to finally live out your life."Wes's eyes widened, "Enrico…"Pucci smiled lightly as he took a step forward, encouraging his twin to follow along. Their steps became shakier as the sky continued to crackle and shift into the realm of the alternate universe. And soon they entered the realm. Pucci stared at the car that held the gang. Wes took a step forward before looking back, "Enrico?"Pucci's face shifted into varying emotions before settling on a bittersweet grin, "I think you should go on ahead," he lowered his head, "this is your chance to live a happy life, I don't want to become a burden again.""Then where will you go?"Pucci chuckled before he shrugged, "Where ever God may lead me."They both laughed lightly at that before their laughter grew quiet. Wes stared at Pucci before pulling him into a tight hug, before letting go."You should get going," Pucci smiled, "I can hear them start the car engine.""Be safe, brother."Wes waved at him before dashing away to the group. Pucci silently watched his twin fade away into the distance.
"Same to you, brother."
