There was chaos all around. Blue and white lightning seemed to be striking in all directions. The man didn’t know if the explosions around him were real, if the flashes of light were mere hallucinations or actual happenings. Someone tugged at him, he couldn’t see who or how many people tried to carry him, guide him or pull him through the shaking grounds.“You have to keep up! Keep going!” A voice said. A voice that spoke urgency yet unyielding determination. “Can you make the jump?”He tried to focus his eyes. The white flashes were too great, his head felt as if it were going to explode.“Bucky!”The name tore at him like a silver knife through his stomach….He focused his eyes again. Yes. They were on a rooftop somewhere. He could see that now. But the light, the damn bright light….The figure next to him looked around frantically. Sirens and helicopters were heard nearby.“Damn it… we have to move now…”The person took firm hold of him and suddenly he felt a great pain hit his head. Another voice shouted, another voice screamed…
Bucky rose with a start. He had that terrible nightmare again. The voices, the explosions, the horrible pain. He looked around in panic and tried to remember where he was, but as he found himself in pitch darkness his racing heart only pumped faster and more painfully.Damn it where was he? His inclination was to feel himself, feel around him. His felt around the sweat drenched sheets and then felt his naked chest, his naked body…he slept naked that night, as he always did, and then he felt that awful metallic arm. More visions came…yes…this is what he was…what he’d become…slowly it all began to come to him again. As he sat in silence allowing his memories to return to him, he could still not recollect the actual happenings that led him there, to that pitch dark room, the explosions, the voice, the person next to him in the dream. He removed the sheet from him and walked across the room.Opening the blinds to the small apartment, he glanced at the neon pink and purple lights that lit the city outside. It was Chinatown it seemed, a busy and ugly part of the city, and he, or someone, had chosen this as a temporary stay. People walked the crowded streets with the familiar noise and foreign languages. This was all strangely familiar to him. He wanted to open the window, to let some air in, but the window was locked. From the outside? No. He could easily break it he thought, but why should he? He stepped away. It was hot, he was thirsty, and his head still pounded with all the haunting noises of his dream.“Bucky!” He squirmed at the name. Suddenly he felt nauseous. He needed water. He left the window and went to search for the kitchen. It was a small and nearly empty apartment. Only a bed, a small brown leather couch, some clothing scattered about, a few take out boxes, and a black box lay on the floor. He walked over these things and went to search for the faucet. A glass lay next to the sink, he took it, poured himself water and drank. As he drank he let the chlorine tasting water quench his thirst and then served himself some more. His body was radiating heat, tremendous heat…and that pain, that thudding pain in his head wouldn’t go away….“Bucky…” he heard. He turned. The voice seemed to come from behind him. No one was there. He stilled for a moment, letting his senses calm and feel the surroundings as he so expertly did when on a task or mission, but strangely, he heard nothing abnormal. But he was so certain he’d heard it, that voice…“Bucky.”His eyes sharpened like that of cat. Through the darkness he saw nothing. The neon lights bled through the blinds of the windows and yet he caught no shape or figure standing anywhere, no footsteps or cracks or creaking floors…nothing to give this intruder away.He placed the glass down carefully on the counter, and reached for whatever he could have hidden or placed in the drawer or cabinet, or even behind the fridge. Feeling the familiar cold leather of his army knife, he gripped it and walked slowly and quietly through the dark living room. Whoever this was must have got in when he was sleeping…he or she had been there all along. In the living room he found nothing. His naked feet feeling the carpet underneath him, his muscles tightening with each step he took, his knife firmly grasped in his hand. Nothing in either corners of the room, nothing behind the couch, or under the bed. He looked around suspiciously. Was he hearing things still? No, he heard it again.“Bucky.”It seemed to come from the restroom. And that’s when he saw it. The restroom door was closed, but the light was now on. Light illuminated from the crack from under the door, showing the silhouette of someone there. He stood quietly, and began to walk towards it. He placed his back against the wall next to the closed door. He listened carefully. No voice, no real sounds, only a faint rumble… a small vibration.. The person moved from the other side…Carefully he turned the knob, and then barged in.Nothing.The light bulb had been turned on, and he was sure he had left it off. He didn’t see the light on when he woke. He went to the tub and checked behind the shower curtains. It was empty. Most disturbing of all, he looked around and knew, there were no windows in the restroom. The only way in or out was through that door.Bucky crouched and began to feel the tiled floor with his hands. Anything there? No. But the sound remained, that strange vibrating sound. Was it coming from the floor under him?A strange scent filled the room. He couldn’t figure what it was. It was warm, sweet, and ominous. Again, familiar…Bucky stood. He caught a glimpse of himself on the small mirror. He walked towards it.There, looking back at himself, was the Winter Soldier. Naked, strong, powerful, dangerous. His dark hair was long and covered his dark eyebrows. It was messy, dirty, and his cheeks seemed a bit more sunken, as did his eyes. He had bruises all around, cuts, and bandage had been wrapped around his chest with a gauze. He’d been through hell, he knew that, but really when hadn’t he? He placed his hands over his face. A dizziness came and he gripped the small sink in front of him. Those flashes, the lights, the explosions.“Bucky…”
Damn it! Was the voice in his head? He gripped his head tightly and looked at himself in the mirror.“Bucky!”Please go away! He thought desperately. Just go away! The images came to him again, the sounds surrounded him. The floor seemed to vanish from underneath him and he felt himself begin to fall. The voice in his head getting louder and louder…“Bucky…..Bucky….Bucky!”

6 Months Earlier. Los Angeles.
In the midst of the posh and very well dressed crowd she sat with a glass of champagne in hand. Her long copper colored gown fit perfectly on her well proportioned body, her dark skin exposed at just the right places; her shoulders, her cleavage, her arms, even a slit that’s mere purpose was to show her crossed legs as she tapped her golden heels on the rail of her stool. Her dark curly hair was pulled up into an exotic bun, and she smiled and laughed, exposing her white teeth beneath her red and golden colored gloss. A gentleman sat next to her, trying his best to amuse this exotic goddess.“Is that all?” She laughed. “That’s the best you can do?”“Well why don’t you try me sweetheart?” The man said shamelessly. “Find out for yourself?”“You really expect me to just go home with you? Just like that?”“No woman has ever said no.”“I’m not just any other woman.” She took a sip from her drink. With a quick glance, she scanned the crowd around her. She’d been here for well over an hour. The club was known to be packed, even on a weekday. Women in gowns and dresses, men in suits and ties. The best musicians played here; yellow and golden lights illuminated the fancy bar next to them, waiters and bartenders wore classic white tail coats and ties, a big crystal fountain poured water that changed colors with the florescent lights that shot from underneath. Such a wonderful place she thought.“What do you say darling? Should I get my driver?” The man asked.“That would be a no.”The man frowned.“I have a Lamborghini.”The woman laughed.“You don’t know when to give up do you?”The man smirked. The woman looked amongst the crowd again.“What’s your name sweetheart?”“It’s not sweetheart.”“Well what is it then?”“Susan.”“You don’t look like a Susan.”“Karissa.”“You don’t act like a Karissa.”“Oh really? What name do I act like then?”“Something more exotic. More mysterious.”“Mystique.”The man laughed. “Not a Mystique.”“Well what then? Mr. Namemaster.”The man eyed her.“I want to say its probably a unisex name. Or something I simply never heard of before.”The woman raised an eyebrow. The man thought hard.“Alex?”“No.”“Randi?”“No.”“Jesse?”The woman shook her head.“You’re never going to tell me are you?”The woman smiled and shook her head again. Her eyes moved towards the crowd again and the man turned to see what she kept looking at.“You expecting someone?” He asked.“Yes.” She responded. “An old friend I haven’t seen in a very long time…”“Ah. Is this a he friend?”“No.”“Good.” The man smiled. The woman smiled in disbelief.“So what can I call you? I can’t keep going on like this.”“Who says you have to keep going?”“What a firecracker you are.”The woman took another sip. When the man sighed and took a drink from his stiff drink, she eyed him pitifully.“You can call me Kay.”“Kay? That’s interesting.”With that, Kay looked over to the crowd again, and saw exactly the person she was looking for. There, amongst the crowd, a woman stood out from the rest. A tall woman, olive complexion, long dark hair, and wore a red leather suit. Strange attire for such a luxurious place. In her hands she carried a black briefcase which our exotic goddess Kay stared at.“Is she your friend?” The man asked.“Yes.” The woman said. “I have to go say hi.”Placing her drink on the bar, Kay stood and slowly walked through the crowd.“Can I get your number at least?” The man called to her, but Kay was already disappearing amongst the large group, eyes deeply set on the mysterious woman. The band next to her began to play, some mixture of blues and a modern form of bossa nova. Kay touched her ear gently and spoke softly.“Target spotted. Seven o’clock. By the stairs.”Kay eyed the woman. Like her, she’d been posing as one of the party goers, smiling and interacting with complete strangers. But Kay knew exactly why she was here. She knew exactly what she needed to do.Kay and her team had been after this woman for some time. A known fugitive, a dangerous enemy. Instructions had been given to her that an exchange was going to be made. Here, in this club. The briefcase. She needed to get that briefcase.“Where are you located?” She asked.“We’re here covering you 16.“ A voice said in her ear.“She has the briefcase.”Kay turned right before the woman turned and spotter her. Kay smiled at one of the waiters and took one of the many champagne glasses. When she looked back the woman already had turned and started walking swiftly up the stairs.“Shit she’s on the move.”“We’re moving towards the stairs.”“I’m already here. I’m going after her.”“16 wait for us…”“If we wait she‘s gone.”“For fucks sake.”“Catch up.”Kay lifted her dress and tried to casually hurry up the stairs, locking eyes on the woman’s back that increased speed through the crowd. She tried to keep calm but she knew she couldn’t let this woman escape with that briefcase. Kay increased her speed, pushing through the men and women around her.“Sorry, excuse me…”She looked quickly around for her team. 17 and 18 were nowhere to be seen.“Typical.” She murmured.“16. She’s headed for the exit. There’s a man with her now.” She glanced down by the stairs and saw 17 there. He held his ear and looked directly at the exit just ahead of her. She eyed him and then began towards the exit. “18 is going around.”“Got it.”And just before Kay took another step, a loud explosion filled her ears. The floors shook violently and a large wave of heat pushed her to the floor from behind.People were shouting all around. Dust and debris fell all around her and for a moment Kay didn’t know how bad it was. She looked around quickly and saw the large hole in the wall where the restrooms had been, and the great fire that now engulfed the walls and ground. She stood quickly and looked back at the exit. The guards were now on their radios and phones and rushing in for help. People scattered and ran about. Kay looked around only to see if she could spot 17 again.“17?” She called. “17?!”Nothing. She hurried through the running crowd and shoved her way through the crowds and out into the cold night. Her trained eyes quickly found the woman walking down the sidewalk along with the large man, striding quickly trying to go unnoticed among the crowd.“Hey!” Kay shouted. She began to running towards her. The woman did not turn. People ran everywhere in all directions. Sirens were heard nearby, people screaming, many stopping to see what was going on. Kay ran as fast as she could, her heels clicking on the concrete sidewalk. The woman turned into a small alleyway with the man and Kay kept running. A couple shouted as she shoved her way through them and kept going. She needed to get to this woman. When Kay got to the alleyway and turned, gunshots erupted and she immediately backed against the wall. People screamed. Kay took out a small mirror from the front of her breast and cautiously peered into the alleyway. The man held open a small door where the woman obviously had gone in, and he waited gun pointed in her direction waiting to open fire. Kay waited a moment, the man remained standing gun pointed for only a moment and then hurried in. Kay quickly when to remove her heels and tossed them aside. Pulling up her dress, she removed the small gun from the small belt she kept around her leg and hurried into the alleyway. She cocked her gun, pointed it towards the ground and ran to the door. It had no knob. They had this all planned. She looked all around the door for secret place to pull and found none. Then she went to kick it down. After a few attempts she began to use her entire body to bring it down. She tackled it with all her might and the door burst open. She pointed the gun through the narrow dim lit hallway and hurried in. A few people screamed, an old woman held a child close to her and shut her apartment door. Kay didn’t pay any mind to these people, she simply kept pushing through, her gun in hand. They could be anywhere. As she found the old staircase she pointed up and a woman screamed, dropping her basket of laundry. Kay motioned her to move out of the way and she did. She hurried up the stairs. There in the second floor she saw the figure of the woman and the man and she opened fire. The woman went into a random room and the man turned and fired. Kay took cover. The man fired continuously.“They’re in the old apartment building just west from the club. Second floor. Target in a room east side to the front.”“Got it 16.”When the man ceased fire Kay had already counted. She took a deep breath and pivoted into the hallway. The man was gone. She ran down the hallway and to the room the woman had gone into. The door was open and when Kay entered a woman and a few children cried and screamed.“No! Porfavor no!” The woman cried.“Largo. Afuera!” Kay commanded. The woman and the children did so. They ducked and scurried out of the apartment. It was an old and dusty a apartment. A tea kettle was on the small stove and was already whistling. A large window was now open and the white curtains where dancing with the winds from the outside. Kay scanned the room quickly to see where the woman or the man might be. She went into every room, gun pointed and finger on the trigger. With each door she kicked opened she held her breath and tightened her mouth, sweat pouring down her forehead.“We’re in the building.” She heard in her small ear radio. As she began to approach the window someone attacked her from behind. With tremendous force she was hit on the back with an object. She cried out as she fell to the floor, her gun falling out of her hand. She turned quickly and saw the man going towards her. She did what her instincts told her to do quickly as he had a gun, she kicked him in the shin, and then at the knee causing him to scream out. She quickly reached for the nearest thing, a long room lamp and swung it fiercely at him. The woman ran from one room and then out the door. Before she could do anything the man turned again to her and pointed again. Kay swiftly opened her legs between the man’s feet and then tangled a leg over his own. The man fell, a gunshot fired towards the ceiling. As he fell she quickly reached for the gun and tangled her legs around his arm and bent it at an impossible angle. The man screamed, but didn’t leg go, she pulled and squeezed again and he dropped the gun. She went to grab it and was immediately grabbed by the other man’s arm. Kay screamed out. They struggled. The man pulled hard at her and she tried to loosen herself at no result. The man was too large and too strong. With ease he tugged at her dress and then a leg. He was now over her and pulling her near him. She put out her knee and prevented him from crushing over her. He reached for her neck, and then her hair. She quickly wrapped her hands around his neck and braced herself around him. She maneuvered herself and positioned herself where she wanted to be, and with the right amount of strength she pushed and pulled, only moving just a bit, failing at her attempt to roll on top of him. The man cried out, he used all his strength and lifted her. Kay braced herself as the man rushed against the wall and crashed her against a bookshelf, he lifted and turned, and then rushed against a glass case. The glass broke, pain striking on Kay’s back and head. She unwrapped her legs from around him and felt him tug at her hair. She cried out and felt herself forced to turn. He used his entire body to crush her painfully against the broken table and glass. He pulled at her hair and raised her ear to his mouth.“You shouldn’t have followed us bitch.”Kay felt him run his other hand up her dress. She clenched her teeth. Under her she heard the glass churn and continue to break. She slipped her hand under her and found a sharp pointed piece of glass. She gripped it, ignoring the pain of the cutting of her flesh, and pushed downwards. With quickness she stabbed the man on the leg. The man screamed and backed away. She reached for the nearest thing, a large trophy, and turned and swung. The man blocked it and grabbed her arm and turned her again. She gripped his arm around her neck as he began to squeeze and choke her, almost lifting her off her feet. She elbowed at him hard on the side, and then again. When he continued to choke her, she gripped his arm with both hands. Using his own strength he was using, she pushed off against the floor, raised her feet, gained enough weight and then momentum, and then pulled herself down. In one swift motion she bent forward and the man flipped over her. He hit the ground with a loud thud. Without letting go of his hand she turned and laid on the floor, wrapping her leg around his throat. The man struggled, he reached for something next to him but there was nothing, Kay held him firmly in place using all her strength. She watched as the man fought, and then began to lose consciousness. She waited for him to lie completely still before letting go. His eyes rolled to the back of his head, and he was gone. His arm fell limply on the floor as she stood. He was dead.“Where’s the target?” She asked the others.“We’re after her on feet. Down Broadway street going towards Sunset.”“On it.”She grabbed both guns on the floor and headed out the door.Running at incredibly speed she sped down the hall and crawled out the last window onto the fire escape. The cold December breeze hit her entire body, wind blowing through her messy hair. She glanced down and saw ahead the commotion of splitting crowds. She hurried up the latter and onto the rooftop. With great agility she sped across the rooftop and jumped fearlessly onto the neighboring building. She continued running until she reached the edge. Below her a small truck drove by, she took a few steps back then ran and jumped. She landed right on top of the truck, rolled, then dived onto the street. Picking herself back up she continued to run.She ran out of the alleyway, and saw the woman running away from the others up through a dark lit street. Kay pointed her guns and fired. Nothing. She saw her team, 17 and 18, run after her. Instead of going after them, she turned and went around the buildings.Kay pushed herself passed her limits. Her feet stomped on the wet pavement under her, stepping over rocks, stones, dirt, her muscles on her legs swelling as she ran. She pulled at her dress and tore up at the slit to allow her more space to run. She turned into a small alley way and gained speed. As she began to reach the end, the other woman turned in surprise as Kay crushed into her.The women tossed and tumbled. The woman tried to strike Kay with the briefcase but Kay quickly grabbed it, pushed back, and swung the butt of her gun across the woman’s face. The Woman reached into her pocket but Kay already had swung again. She kicked the woman on the side of her knee and the woman screamed and kneeled to the ground. Before she could move again, Kay pointed both guns at her.“Don’t move.” Kay said. The woman froze, still holding on the briefcase in front of her.The others caught up. 17 and 18. Both men catching their breaths.“Hand over the briefcase.”The woman shot her a dirty look.“You don’t know who you’re dealing with.” The woman said with a thick accent. Kay recognized it as Serbian.“We know exactly what we’re dealing with.” Kay responded, pressing her gun to the side of the woman‘s head. 17 walked over and grabbed the briefcase. The woman shot him a dirty look before looking back up at Kay.“Doesn’t matter if you take it away from me. He’ll find it.”“Good. I look forward to it. Get the chopper in.”17 walked over to Kay and handed her the briefcase, he placed his gun on the Woman as Kay stepped away. She examined it. Taking out a small device from her hair, she clicked it and scanned it.“Is that it?” 17 asked her.“Not sure yet. We should take it back to HQ.”18 went to handcuff the woman and put a black cloth over her head. Heavy lights began to appear from the end of the alleyway and they heard the chopper land. They all began to walk towards it.In a matter of minutes, a group of armed men surrounded the woman and took her.and Suited men walked out of the chopper, met the three agents, and took the briefcase.“Any casualties?” One of the men asked Kay.“Besides the dress?” When the man did not smile or laugh, she sighed. “There’s a man in room 208 in the old apartment complex by the club on Broadway.”“Sending our team to clean up. Get yourself tidied up, Cap would like a word.”Kay rested her hands on her waist and looked down. She hadn’t even caught her breath when a big black SUV pulled up next to them. A guard opened the door and awaited for her. 17 and 18 only looked at her.“Alright boys. Good work. See you in the AM. Jack in the Box on me if I get up early.” She told her team. And she walked towards the car and got in.There in the leather interior in front of her the Captain sat. A fine older gentlemen, a gentle looking man that fooled many around him that didn’t know who he actually was. He held an immense amount of intensity with his words, and had a reputation for his gaze that could dissect any individual. He wore glasses and read something on a tablet before him.“You retrieved the briefcase?” He asked.“Sure did.” She responded. There was a few water bottles, some ice, and glasses next to her. She served herself and drank.“Good. We have your next assignment.” Kay stilled. The Captain rose his eyes and looked at her. “Something wrong?”“I haven‘t even interrogated my current target.”“We’ll take care of that.” The Captain swiped the tablet a few times and then handed it to her. She took it and saw the picture and the detailed profile of her next assignment. She read through the profile quickly.“He’s called the Winter Soldier.” The Captain explained.“The Washington Helicarrier Incident?”“We think so. But this man dates back all the way back to the 70’s. Many attacks against our agency have been directly linked to this man. Well dated back to WWII.”“How is that possible? That was over 60 years ago.”“The debriefing packet is awaiting you at home. You and your team will be sent out to Seattle where you will meet another team of special agents to assist you in this mission. He was last spotted there so it’s a good place to start. You are to find, detain, and hand over the Winter Soldier. He’s a heavily wanted man. He’s wanted by many, so do be careful.”“I’m sorry sir, but why me? This man is practically a terrorist.”“It’s not your first time handing over more than a few to us 16. And you are, one of our best.”Kay said nothing, she kept reading through the profile. She held her stomach suddenly and felt the pain there that she had been ignoring.“You’ll have to get that checked out.’“I’ll be fine.”The car stopped. They were now directly in front of her building. The security checked the drivers ID and then they were allowed to enter through the gates. As they stopped directly at the entrance of the building, Kay stepped out.“Oh and 16.” The Captain called out. “That incident, at the club… the explosion. That could have been avoided. Make sure that does not happen in Seattle.”Kay said nothing. She simply closed the door and walked up the stairs. She passed the security guards, inputted her passcode into the elevator security pad, and stepped in. As the doors closed she allowed herself to collapse against the wall and railing. She let out a long exhale. She was used to this. But the pain that covered her entire body was too great. She held her stomach again and saw she was bleeding. She reached deep into her dress and found a piece of glass. She pulled it our of her flesh and cried out. She dropped the piece on the floor and put pressure on the wound. All of this wasn’t new to her. The pain, the exhaustion, the long endless hours. Her life was constantly in danger, this was the life of an MI6 agent. As the elevator doors opened she began to walk slowly into her loft. She was too tired to even run a bath for herself. In her large glass table was the Captain’s debriefing packet. Kay stared at it for a long while, and back at the tablet in her hand. She placed the tablet down and then went to her kitchen. It was going to be a long night she thought, might as well bring out the fine bottle of wine she had been saving. She learned along time ago, that bottle wasn’t going to be shared with anyone but herself.***It was 5AM. Kay’s alarm had gone off and it pained her she couldn’t hit the snooze button. Her body ached more now even though she had rested, and her head felt stuffy and heavy from the bottle of wine she had downed. She only slept a couple of hours as she had read and studied the Winter Soldier’s entire history and profile. The amount of information she took in was overwhelming, even unreal it seemed, but she read on furiously for hours, serving herself glass after glass of the fine red wine. When she couldn’t take it any longer, she had fallen asleep. She went to her large bathroom and got the hot water running in her shower. She needed to rinse herself off to get all the blood off of her and all the sweat. She wreaked of man sweat she thought, and she needed to wake up. She looked at the gauze over the wound on her side. She had patched herself up with a needle and thread and many gauzes with rubbing alcohol. She preferred treating her own wounds when it came to these matters. Especially when she studied as she sowed herself. She jumped in the shower and thought on all the information she read. The Soviet Assassin. General Vasily Karpov. The Assassination of Jack Monroe. The Attack to the city of Philadelphia. The Washington Incident. This was all very hard to believe. And how was any of this directly related to MI6? The passed Vauxhall incident in London was supposedly conducted by the RIRA, the RPG-22 missile was not traced back to any post soviet extremist organizations. As Kay swept through the photographs taken of the man, she became deeply concerned.“This man is a killing machine.” She said under her breath.Kay rested her head against the marble shower wall and allowed the hot water to pour over her. How was she supposed to catch this man? She needed a really good fucking team she thought.Dressing herself and brushing her hair, she packed all her essentials in a small carry on bag and read the instructions on her small gadget watch. A car awaited for her downstairs and would take her to her private jet where 17 and 18 were to join her. She slipped on her black heels and went to the elevator. On her way in the car she continued reading over her packet. The Assassin was last spotted near the Space Needle in Seattle Washington.Need him in alive.Kay sighed out.“There’s no time to get Jack In the Box is there?” Kay asked the driver.“Sorry ma’am. I’m afraid not.”Kay looked out the window.“Well here we go.”They arrived to the airport and the large runway was nearly empty for them with the private jet ready and waiting for her. 17 and 18 stood by their cars with sunglasses on and bags over their shoulders. Kay didn’t really look at them and walked towards the stairs to the jet.“Sorry boys. No bacon and grease this morning.”The men smiled. They followed Kay up the stairs and into the jet.As they sat 17 and 18 were already rambling on what they were to do.“So how exactly are we to catch this guy? This guy is a robot practically.” 17 asked.Kay only looked at him and back at her tablet.“We’ll see who they team us up with in Seattle.” 18 said.Kay was used to listening to her two teammates talk and ramble. She always seemed to act detached or uninterested, but she always kept her ears open. These were the best men she’d worked with, and she wouldn’t have it any other way though she never really demonstrated it.17. Real name Phil, was the youngest. He was a twink of man. Short and thinly built. The prettiest Kay joked, with his rosy lips and cheeks, and light scruff around the frame of his face. His nose piercing gave him a good touch she thought. He was the brains of the trio. The kid was a serious computer hacker before the MI6 had found him. Over 7 major delinquencies and several federal laws broken in the States for security breaching.18 was the oldest. Tall, awkward, and a red head. Real name Jerome. At first Kay was astonished at how this man was one of the best in the MI6, but when she saw him in action and he’d managed to pull her from many hot spots, she was utterly impressed. The man knew how to work a gun, and his problem solving skills in action were impeccable. Still, even with the brains and her skill, she had no idea how they were supposed to catch such a dangerous man.She said nothing. The plane had taken off and they flew over Los Angeles skies. The men continued to talk, discussing the details given.Kay felt her eyes grow heavy. The mission last night had worn her out, as much as she hated it. Perhaps she could sleep for the next few hours before they landed. Phil and Jerome could wake her if something imperative were to come up, or when they were to land.“Over 30 assassinations in the passed few decades.” Phil said. Kay opened her eyes. “I don’t know… this just seems so odd.”It did seemed odd Kay felt. The Captain must really have faith in them, or he’d gone absolutely mad. She thought on her previous target, the woman, the briefcase, the explosion at the club. Yes, she could have probably avoided that. But something about this just wasn’t right. This assignment was just too sudden.“A whole army couldn’t stop him.”Kay tried to shake it all off. She tried not to think of it. But it all ringed true. This was an impossible task she thought. She tried not to feel the discomfort. No she thought. They would find a way. They always did. And she sure hoped to god that whoever awaited them in Seattle, was the best the MI6 could provide.
