“DUDE WE’RE GOING TO CRASH!” The black haired screamed in panic. “I KNOW, I KNOW! HOLD ON!” The other insisted. The two were in an escape pod along with another friend. How did they get in that situation? Let’s go back to 38 years ago.
In the far-east side of Fyari was a little cottage, owned by a married couple. They bought it in hope of living the rest of their lives in a peaceful area. Besides, Fyari is the most peaceful and idyllic country in the world. But sadly, you can’t always get what you wish for. One of them was a mortal human, but she made a name for herself. There were books written about her and the other humans still speak of her ‘till this day. Going back a few years ago, after she had met a commander from Fyari, her life turned upside down. She used to be a poor woman living in the lowlands of England, barely even being able to live decently. “Hello, sir? I’ve never seen you around, are you new here?” The woman asked the stranger. He turned around and looked at her. The woman had curly, chocolate brown hair, but it was awfully messy. She had beautiful freckled dark skin, yet it was quite rough and calloused. Her dazzling emerald eyes were shimmering in the daylight, yet she looked tired and helpless. “Actually, I was wandering through this country, but unfortunately got lost.” The stranger replied. “I’ve lived here my whole life; I can help you!” She stated. Maybe I can ask him for help in return The man thought for a second before replying, “Really? That’s wonderful! May I know your name? I would have to know how to call you, wouldn’t I?”The girl smiled, “That’s fair. My name is Grace, Grace Adiba. How about you?” “Katyusha. But you can call me Yusha.” He said. Katyusha. What an odd name, I wonder where he’s from. “That’s a nice name! Where is your origin?” Katyusha tilted his head, smiling. “Thanks, yours is too. I come from the idyllic Fyari,” He said proudly. “My name has a Japanese-Russian background, though.” He added. “You mean the Fyari? I’ve heard some stories about it and I’ve always wanted to visit it!” Grace beamed. “Yup! It certainly is, there are even rumours that a certain goddess roams around there after she got sent to Earth.” Katyusha stated. Grace’s eyes widened, “A goddess?! Oh wow, I would love to visit there when I’m older!” The man frowned, “How old are you now then?” She sighed, then mumbled what was supposed to be her answer. “What? I couldn’t hear you.” She answered clearly this time, “I’m 18.”“Oh? So, you’re able to move there legally, aren’t you?” Katyusha questioned. Grace looked the other way, “Legally? Yeah, yet I can’t. Finances and stuff you know? I can barely even survive here!” The man pauses, “I see, I hope it gets better for you.” Grace sighed. “I hope so too.” Katyusha looked in Grace’s eyes. His gaze turned cold. “Can you keep a secret?” “Well,” Grace began. That is a sudden question, this quick into the conversation too. “Of course, go ahead.” Grace said cautiously. “I didn’t come here for sight-seeing. I infiltrated this land in search of something important.” Yusha drawled. Why am I telling this woman this? You know what, she won’t have anyone to tell anyway. It got silent; the wind was breezing. Grace was confused and Yusha looked the other way, and blinked slowly.Grace interrupted the silence. “So, let me get this straight, you’re saying that you’re… a spy?” “Correct. But I’m not here to hurt anyone, I just need those scrolls and I’m out of here-“ She interrupted him once again, “Can you!-“ Yusha flinched. Grace took a deep breath. She didn’t intend to shout so suddenly. “Can you… bring me with you…? Back to Fyari…?” She muttered. Katyusha didn’t know what to make of the girl. Sure, he needed someone to trust in the enemy’s claim. But, bringing her back home? Maybe he should run off and leave her there, he didn’t trust the woman enough. But instead, Yusha found himself saying, “How do I know that you’re not a spy for this country?”“…Good point. Very well, you are quite sharp. General Kirito Katyusha.” She held up Yusha’s wallet, with his ID card showing first. “Hey! How did you-“ Yusha said shocked. He stared right through the dark-haired woman’s eyes. Grace sighed and gave the wallet back, intact. Yusha rolled his eyes. “Forgive me, bad habit. I’ve lived in the lowlands since I was born, we were extremely poor, may I add. So, I’ve learned how to pickpocket people incredibly stealthily!” Gracie said proudly. Yusha raised an eyebrow, “I don’t exactly think that that’s something to be proud of. Stealing is bad and against the law.” Grace sighed, “Yeah, I know, I know. But how else am I supposed to survive in this absolute shithole?” Her confidence faded away. She spoke frustrated and looked down.Perhaps, I could make an exception for her. She undoubtedly has lived a very hard life, she deserves it. Katyusha smiled. “After seeing your situation, I- have decided to bring you with me to Fyari. ” Grace stoned. “Are you… are you serious?!” Her eyes were filled with desperation. “Uh, yes,” Katyusha awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. Grace started tearing up. She ran towards Yusha and hugged him as tight as she could. He was shocked at first, but then he hugged her back. “Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!” Grace cried in Yusha’s shoulder and Yusha patted her back. “It’s nothing.” Yusha said calmly. But inside, he is smiling uncontrollably. He brought joy, pure happiness to a woman he really wanted to help. That was all he needed. All he wanted.Since then, the girl has been living healthier and training in Fyari. She wanted to return the general's kindness and served for the country. The general was very rich, and he spoiled Grace as much as he could. After she was brought to Fyari, she had a voluntarily glow up. Her hair was always messy and her skin was rough from her previous circumstances. After her glow up she was the talk of the town, she could be the prettiest woman in the city, perhaps even the whole country! She had washed her hair many times, and the maids helped brush her curly chocolate brown hair until it became as soft and smooth as silk. She took a shower and a bath with luxurious bath crystals, giving her dark freckled skin a smooth texture. Her shimmering emerald eyes and beautiful long eyelashes looked much more relaxed afterwards. She decided to tie her hair up in a bun, and would keep it like that. Her name was Grace, Grace Adiba, and she lived up to her name. ***The other was a goddess, the Goddess of the Sky. Yet, she is quite unpopular with the humans. She was popular many years ago, centuries even. All before she came along and broke all peace and love. She made everyone forget about the god’s wonderful and peaceful deeds. The things she had done to remain peace on Earth has all been forgotten. There are only few who remembered him: all the gods and goddesses, of course, every immortal human being, which isn’t that many, and his wife. Though, once you’ve seen her after the brainwashing, you won’t ever forget her again. She was quite the beauty: beautiful long, shiny and wavy platinum blonde hair, matching the clouds which she also ruled over. Her clear pale skin, shining in day- and moonlight. Her beady amethyst eyes with a grey lining, shimmering every time she looks into your own eyes. The goddess had wandered around on Earth, until she stumbled upon an untouched country. What was the country’s name, you ask? It was Fyari. A month after Grace moved in with Katyusha, she met a woman. Who, she didn’t know, would be her future wife. They met at the biggest park of Fyari, because of the large scale, you could say it’s destined for them to meet. That park was one of the places that made Fyari so idyllic, it always has dozens of butterflies flying around. Everywhere you go you would see butterflies, and the people never get tired of them. Most of the bushes were rose bushes, in all different colours. They were mostly pink, but the most beautiful roses were the cyan/turquoise roses. They would also be kept in the houses of the rich. There were also small rivers with very clear water, the soil on the bottom would keep it from getting dirty. There would be moss and vines around it, and lily pads on top. If you keep following the stream, you would occasionally find willow trees. Their leaves hanging above the river and grass. The grass would be the softest you’ve ever touched and there would be dandelions and cornflowers growing on it. It was one of the most peaceful places in whole Fyari, and the people made sure to keep it that way. “Hey uhm miss? Do you perhaps know where we are? I seem to be lost in this giant park…” The goddess turned around, looking at the lost and confused dark haired woman. “I, sadly, cannot tell either. I, apparently, seem to be lost too.” She gave a little smile and the other woman replied with one of her own. “I see, want to find our way out of here?” The goddess thought for a second before replying, “I don’t see why not.” They started walking towards a direction whilst talking and observing the park. There was a nice breeze, the sun shining brightly, yet it felt cool because of the wind. The clouds were perfectly white and there weren’t too many of them, though, some clouds seem to be following the women everywhere they go. The English woman thought it was odd, “Hey, miss? Isn’t it weird how most of the clouds are still, but those clouds are following our path?” The goddess kept walking and closed her eyes, she shrugged. “Who knows.” With that answer, the woman shook it off and kept walking. The dark-haired woman stopped and blinked a few times, “Ah! I forgot to introduce myself! My bad.” She bowed a little, “My name is Grace, Grace Adiba. 18 years old and I just moved here from England. And you?” She smiled, waiting for the answer of the other. “Name? I… don’t have one.” The goddess said gloomily whilst looking up at the sky. The clouds following them immediately disappeared. “Did you forget your name? I’m just going to call you miss or friend then!” She said whilst she kept smiling. The goddess tilted her head a bit, somehow, everything she does is mischievous and lightheaded, yet she seems stable and calm. Grace did most of the talking, whilst the goddess just listened and replied occasionally. But one time, she listened more carefully to the goddess’ words, “Say, when did you come here, Friend?” Grace started. The woman looked at the bushes, seemingly trying to remember, then looked at Grace, “About two years ago.” The dark-eyed woman was sceptical, “Two years ago? I thought you said you were new here. If you were here for two years, how wouldn’t you know anything of this park, assuming how you keep wondering and glancing at the place.” The goddess stopped, and looked dead in the other’s eyes, “I wonder too. But I do not know how this country itself looks like.”They started walking again, shrugging off the conversation they just had. They already started nearing the end of the park.” Grace saw the light at the end and beamed, she grabbed the woman’s hand and started running towards it. “Look! We’re at the end!” The woman blinked a few times and smiled a bit whilst holding Grace’s hand. Once they reached the end they saw a beautiful neighbourhood, a few feet away from them they saw a tall man staring at the sky. The women caught his attention and he waved towards one of them, “Grace! There you are!” Grace recognised his voice and waved back smiling, “Yusha! Sorry, I was lost.” She sniffled. The man ran towards them, “And who is this lovely lady?” Grace turned around towards the woman and said proudly, “This is my friend! Her name is… actually she doesn’t remember her name.” Katyusha blinked, “Oh? A little odd, but that’s fine.” He turned to look at the woman, “Are you from around here?” The goddess shook her head lightly, she looked up, “The sky.” Grace and Katyusha looked confused and the man spoke up, “Yeah, above us is the sky. But how does that answer my question-“ The woman shook her head more roughly and pointed up. “The sky!” Grace stayed confused, but Katyusha widened his eyes as he realised what she meant. He grabbed Grace’s hand and walked a few feet away. “Hey uh miss, I’m going to have a small talk with your friend. Stay there!” Katyusha quickly said before the goddess followed them, so instead she stood her ground and sighed, looking back at the sky. Grace looked at Katyusha, “What’s up?” Yusha rolled his eyes and whispered, “The sky. So, you know how she said that she came from the sky? I heard that the goddess that crashed here is the Goddess of the Sky-” The woman widened her eyes, “WHAT?!-” But Yusha covered her mouth with his hand, “SHUSH! Be quieter!” Grace calmed down and shoved his hand away, “Sorry, so you’re saying that she might be the goddess?” Grace stopped and pouted, “I mean I wouldn’t be surprised as she is very calming and kind of pretty.” The general blinked, and laughed. “Someone’s got a crush?” “No! I’m just saying, you know!” She blushed. “Hah! So you’re flustered! I told you so!” “What? Nooo.” “Yeah yeah, let’s go back. Wouldn’t want to leave the mademoiselle standing there, would we?” They walked back and the goddess looked at them as they approached her. “Welcome back.” She said smiling. Grace became red, Gosh, that conversation really got to me. She thought, but instead she said: “Thanks, so do you have a place to go?” “No need. I have not intended to sleep since I have arrived here. As my kind does not do so.” She said graciously. So she really is the goddess. Yusha and Grace thought. Grace looked at Katyusha and the general sighed, “You want to go to my place then? I have plenty of rooms left.” The goddess shrugged, “I do not see why not.” They started walking towards Katyusha’s mansion, after arriving they showed Ghost a room and she smiled in gratitude. Katyusha excused her and brought Grace to an empty room.“Hey! What’s that for?” Grace frowned. The general started, “You know that park you were in and where you found her? If you look at the trees, they look years, let alone centuries old. But that’s not true, two years ago that park was non-existent.” The woman’s eyes widened. “Wh…at?” She thought about the strange conversation. Katyusha continued, “Two years ago, there were a few eye witnesses, of a woman lying on the grass. Assumingly sleeping, but plants started to grow around her, and soon enough, the park was formed. Strangely, willow trees who looked like they aged 10 years per second grew too, but only willow trees. That was when everyone was convinced that Fyari had a goddess residing. Or at least someone who could cause a miracle. It is Fyari’s greatest miracle and it’s what makes it so magical and special.” Grace was stunned. What? That park? The one she was lost in? Could it be… “Ah, Yusha!” Katyusha replied, “Hm?” Grace stopped for a second, then continued. “In the park, she said to me that she arrived here two years ago, and doesn’t know how Fyari itself looks like. Could it be that after she woke up, she found herself in the park and haven’t left for two years?” The general blinked, “That- could have happened. She must have been lonely in the park if she hasn’t left it since the beginning… poor girl. Having people, like us, talk to her might be new to her. Why don’t you take care of her and give her all the attention she needs? Loneliness can be bothersome, so prevent it from happening to her ever again.” Grace nodded and the both of them walked out of the room. Katyusha went to his room and Grace was about to go to her own, but decided to pay a visit to her guest first. She knocked on the door and a delicate voice replied, “Come in!” Grace did as she was told and found the beautiful woman sitting on her bed. She decided to sit next to her and started talking, trying to get along and getting the goddess to trust her. After a while there was a silence, but the goddess broke it, “You know, although I do not know my actual name, I do have an alias. One many people who have met me call me by.” Grace tilted her head, “Oh? What is it, if I may ask?” The other woman looked at Grace and smiled, “Ghost.”***A month after that, Grace had decided to join the forces of Fyari, like her good friend Katyusha. Because the general had given a good word about her, she was assigned to be the commander of the most famous battleship of Fyari. When she first met the crew, she absolutely did not feel like they accepted her. One man walked up to her as she walked in and looked down at her, “Hah?! So you’re the new commander? I bet you can’t even kill a fly, why must we follow your orders-” Grace dropped her luggage and grabbed her machete, but gave the man a kick with her knee, causing the man to collapse. She placed a foot on his chest and kneeled down, placing the machete right next to his neck, nearly touching it. “Who is not able to hurt anyone, huh?” The others were stunned, but grinned. She’s strong. They all thought. Grace took back her foot and knife and tucked the machete back into her pockets, the man sat up, feeling embarrassed. A woman crossed her arms, “Just because you can strangle ‘Yu doesn’t mean you deserve our respect. Taking down a small weak man means nothing-” The man looked at the woman with a stare. “Who are you calling a ‘small weak man’, huh?!” Everyone seemed to ignore him, though.
“I’m home…” Grace arrived back home and Katyusha walked up to the door, “And? How is your new crew-” Grace dropped her bag and jacket and ran up to the man, grabbing him by the collar and collapsing. “I can’t! I can’t do it! I can’t deal with them! They’re so stubborn. I just can’t! Nope, nope, nope, never in a million years, NO!” The man was surprised by the sudden action, “O-oh, doesn’t seem like it went well-” The woman glared at him “YOU THINK?!” The woman stood up and wiped the dust off her clothes, “Sorry, they’re just so annoying! Especially that dumbass medic called Noyu or some shit. And that sniper woman too!” Katyusha frowned, “Sniper woman? And it’s fine, one day you’ll get along with them.”

Grace nodded, “Yeah, sniper woman. I think her name was Mina? Lina?” Katyusha’s eyes widened, “Nina is in your crew?!” “Ah yes, Nina. Yeah… why? You know her?” Grace asked cautiously. The man smirked, “’Know’?! She’s the best sniper of whole Fyari! I heard she once shot an enemy from more than 50 meters… in space! Not to mention that when the body was examined, the bullet was right in between his eyes.” Grace visibly gasped, I think I caught a big fish. “Woah, I didn’t know that… That’s sick! Maybe I should try to earn all their respect so she doesn’t do the same to me…” Katyusha laughed, “You do that!"

A week later they got a mission, “Commander Adiba, I suppose you know why I summoned you here?” Grace gave a little bow gesture and stood up formally, “Yes, ma'am. For my very first mission as a commander, I suppose?” The anonymous person nodded, “Correct! Pick up your mission here on my desk, it's the one in the yellow folder. Good luck, Commander of the Miriumes Natalivus.” Grace nodded and grabbed the assigned folder, “Now if you'll excuse me, I will take my leave, Boss Soul.” Grace walked out and closes the door to the office, she let out a relieved sigh. Man, he sure is scary... that’s the leader of the army for you!

Grace arrived at the base of her crew and prepared herself before opening the door, “Alright, listen up, you half-assed fools. I got a mission from the boss; we have to disarm a bomb that was planted by the enemy in one of our warehouses. This will require skill, so if you’re not up for it, stay here. Got it?” Everyone was looking at her, they were shocked at her confidence. The sniper glared at first but closed her eyes, She does have the determination of a leader, I can give her that. Her confidence has grown too, maybe she isn’t half-bad. “Fine,” Nina finally said, “I have experience, thank you very much, and so does everyone here. Can you keep up with us, though?” She smirked, Let's put her up to the test. Grace didn’t bother, “We'll see once we get there.”

The crew arrived at the top of a mountain cliff which is where the bomb and a weaponry storage house are located. A few dead bodies were laying on the ground with bullets pierced in their skulls. Nina put her gun away, Grace noticed, “Good job, Lieutenant Nina. Everyone, move towards the bomb, nice and easy.” She signalled with her hands. The crew did as told and they were checking up on the bomb, “Commander, the timer seems to not have started yet. If we're fast enough, we can cut the wire-” That was when a little girl climbed up the mountain, she stood at the very edge of the cliff, holding what is supposedly the remote for the bomb timer. The little girl had a long black dress and her hair tied up, she smiled sadly.

“Good evening, members of the Miriumes Natalivus. My name is Yuuma, I am 13 years old. I have the remote to the bomb in my hand, if I press the big button, the bomb will start ticking. The timer has a time of one and a half minute.” She held her thumb on the button lightly, a tear started to fall down. Grace was filled with rage, Only 13 years old?! Who in their right minds would send a child to the front lines?! I have to save her, quick! Without knowing, the whole crew thought the same and ran to stop her. Grace was the quickest and nearly reached her, but she jumped backwards off the cliff and pushed the button mid-air. Grace’s hand was left hanging open as she watched the little girl fall in horror. The girl said her last words and closed her eyes afterwards before falling on the ground,

“See you on the other side, goodbye.”

A loud thump was heard, supposedly of a body that fell from a cliff of 390 meters to the ground. Then it became close to silent, the only thing that could be heard was the loud ticking noises of the bomb. Everyone was silent, either silent gasps or hanging mouths. When the realization had hit everyone, Grace fell down on her knees and broke the silence with a loud scream whilst crying. Even though she was screaming her lungs out, it all went silent in her world, not even the ticking noise was heard. But in her head she was ranting, A little girl... a little girl died in front of my eyes. She was right there, so close, yet so far...

Grace's scream started to fade away, she caught consciousness again, but was breathing heavily with puffy eyes. She rubbed the tears away and looked behind, the crew was either standing still in shock or on the ground covering their ears. It was the first time a child was part of their mission. It was the first time they couldn’t save someone in a mission. But there was one thing everyone knew, the enemy has changed. And they’re far more ruthless and violent than the one they’re used to.

The ticking noises rung through Grace's ears again and she immediately looked over to the bomb, 10 seconds left. She quickly stood up and ran towards the bomb whilst trying to get the others back in consciousness, “Everyone get your shit together! It’s not over, get on the ground NOW!” Nearly all of them woke up and quickly processed what their commander said, they got on the ground and put their arms over their heads. Grace ripped the bomb off of the stand and ran towards the side edge of the cliff, she threw the bomb with all her strength away, “Tina, Atlas, watch out!” As the bomb exploded, Grace had pushed the two members on the ground along with herself.

Sometime later, they buried the girl's body. The trip back to the ship was silent. They were all still in denial, but deep down they all know that they can’t reverse what happened. When they arrived at the ship, everyone got in their places, but their hands were trembling and couldn’t get a firm grip. Grace saw this and let out a shaky sigh, but made a fist and slammed a desk, making everyone look over to her direction in shock. “You guys! Stop faltering! I know we may have failed in saving someone who was right in front of us, but now we've learned that the enemy are vicious people who would even send little kids like her.” She paused for a second, but got her grip again. “That being said, this may be the first time we have seen something like this, but it will certainly not be the last!” She loosened her face and gave a soft smile, “It's okay to cry, it always is. I- We can’t always save everyone, and we have to accept that. We have to prepared for the next time something like this happens.”

Most started looking down, quietly accepting her words. But Noyu stood up and made eye contact with Grace, “If I can’t save everyone, what would be my purpo-" Grace put her hand on his shoulder, “I know how hard it is, especially for you, being a doctor. In your case, save everyone that needs to be saved, and can be saved. Don’t worry, you have done more than enough for us.” She took her hand back, “Heads up everyone, let’s go home, shall we?” The sobbing in the room started to fade out, and everyone started getting back in position, prepared this time. “Funny how you are saying all that, whilst you were the one who cried the most and hardest. But still the only one who snapped back to reality and threw the bomb away. How do you even do that, how do you recover so quickly?” Grace looked at the one speaking, it was Nina, who had tears in her eyes and a sad smile on her face. Grace looked up and looked back with full confidence.

“That’s what it means to be a leader, doesn’t it?”

That one sentence left everyone shocked, after a while they finally looked at each other, one by one, and all nodded together in agreement. As if they could read each other's minds. Nina spoke once again, but her words carried the value of everyone in this room, “That’s right, it is what it means to be a leader. Our leader. Welcome to the Miriumes Natalivus, Commander Grace Adiba. We fully accept you and we will do anything for you.” They all, slowly, one by one, started bowing to the dumbfounded commander. In the end, Grace smiled, “Stand up. In our crew, no matter the rank, everyone will be treated equally. Superiors or subordinates, we’re all humans, are we not?” Grace closed her eyes and sighed happily, “Thank you, everyone.”

A few months later, Grace has gone on more missions with her crew. The Miriumes Natalivus, also known as the Mirivus, has never failed another mission and became known as the best crew of Fyari. The reason why they were famed was because they were so synchronised and placed all of their trusts into each other. On the other hand, the goddess that Grace had met started talking and trusting her friends more. Ever since Ghost and Grace’s encounter, they have become the closest of friends. In Grace's free time, they visited nearly all towns and cities and have become popular in the whole country. The news of Ghost being the Goddess of the Sky was known all over the country, they were known as “The Goddess and the Hero duo". Although, “duo" wouldn’t be the right word for it. By that time, they were dating.

It has been two years of missions, fame and pure happiness. Grace saved over a thousand people in those missions, she got given the name: “The Gracious Warrior”. Her relation with Ghost went well too, Ghost wouldn’t mind Grace’s absence when she was on her missions, and Grace made enough time for her. One day, on Grace’s free-day, she asked Ghost to go on a date in the park she grew and where they met for the first time. They arrived at a beautiful spot at a willow tree by the river. Grace’s whole crew, Katyusha and the maids and Ghost’s friends were all there, lined up. Grace walked to the end of the lined up friends and kneeled down in front of her beloved partner. She was holding an expensive, diamond ring in a box in her hand, “Ghost, Goddess of the Sky. Will you make me the happiest woman in the world and marry me?” The goddess was shocked, but not surprised. “Yes! A thousand times yes!”

The next year, they married. “Congrats guys! I wish you the best!” A professor said. The professor was Ghost’s best friend and the maid of honour. Her name was Logan. The couple smiled, “Thanks! And thank you for taking the job of being the maid of honour.” The professor laughed, “It’s an honour, haha get it?” Ghost patted her shoulder, “Yeah, yeah. We get it.” They all started laughing.

Another year after, twins were born. Though, they looked far from the same. One had more of Ghost’s genetics, and the other was a mixture. Katyusha stormed in the hospital room, “WHERE ARE MY GRANDCHILDREN?!” Grace hit him on the shoulder, “Be quiet! It’s midnight!” “Ah- sorry, my bad. The commander quickly said. Katyusha looked at the twins, “Aww, they’re so beautiful. Have you decided on names yet?” Ghost and Grace looked at each other, and Ghost spoke up, “Because we have twins, we decided that I pick a name for one, and Grace for the other. I claim the black-haired one!” Grace smiled, “Then I’ll choose a name for the blonde one. Let’s see…” Ghost interrupted her, “Ooh, I already know a name for her! Since she was born in the moonlight, let’s name her Luna!” The hero was unamused, “Seriously? She is also born in the moonlight, you know? And Luna is such a basic na-“ “S H U T !” Ghost reprimanded, “I decide for her, not you.” She shook her head. Grace laughed, “Fine by me then, I shall name thee Mew.” Katyusha looked at her and frowned, “As in the Pokémon?” Ghost laughed loudly, “Oh, so you’re not fine with a NORMAL name, but you are with a name of a Pokémon for your child? Haha, this is why I love you.” Grace chuckled, “I love you too. And yes, this is my final decision.”

***
Just a year later, when they finally thought they had peace and could raise their children properly, a certain woman arrived in Fyari. "So this is it... Fyari," The woman grinned. "Finally... I hope you're ready, Ghost."

Three women are standing at the mountain border of Fyari. One of the women in the back has a bow in her hands. The other is a samurai and has a sharp katana hanging on the belt around her waist. And the woman upfront... well, she is unarmed. Two bodies were laying on the ground behind them, dead. By each, three arrows hitting their eyes, legs and to finish it off, their hearts. All by one single woman with a bow.

"Uhm, mistress Star?" The girl with the katana asked cautiously. The weaponless woman replied coldly, “Please, call me Kenley.” She blinked, "Alright... Kenley, how are we supposed to find the enemy? Fyari is a pretty big country!" The samurai called. The archer widened her eyes and gasped. "Shh, Isabel! Rule number 1, don't question the leader!" "Oh, my apologies, Commander. It wasn't my intention to dishonour you." Isabel quickly said while bowing down. Kenley turned around and paused for a second, "It is quite alright, but don't make this mistake ever again. Or there will be consequences." She glares at the samurai, then turned and started walking slowly down the mountain. Finally trespassing the borders of Fyari.

"Jiska, Isabel, go scout out the area," Kenley commands. "Of course, my lady," Both replied at the same time. They sprint off to the nearest city, with Kenley a few blocks behind. The archer and the swordswoman kept running, until eventually they found it. They found the house. No, scratch that, it's a huge mansion. The exact one they were looking for. The one which had the Goddess of the Sky living inside. Jiska stopped, "This is it, isn't it?" She turned to look at her subordinate. "It is indeed, the Goddess of the Sky is in here together with the mighty hero Grace," Isabel confirmed. The archer grabbed her communicator, "I'm going to notify the commander about this!" Just as she was about to reach her commander, she felt a cold, metal piece against her head.

"Don't move," A woman's cold voice whispered in their ears. The archer and the samurai felt something against the back of their heads, at first they didn't know what is was, until they smelled it. Newly loadedGunpowder. "Drop everything you have and sit on your knees." The woman finished. Jiska knew she was in trouble, but she had a back-up plan. In case of emergencies, which you could call was one that is happening right now, she had an arrow in her sleeve. She slowly pulled the arrow out and turned around, just to face the famous living hero: Grace Adiba. Jiska immediately regretted her decision and was just about to sit on her knees, just as she was told to.

A gunshot.

A body collapsed on the soft grass, a blood puddle forming under it. The smell of fresh gunpowder all over. A scream of terror coming from her friend. “JISKA!” She turned to look at the ‘hero’, “You damn-“ But soon enough, she was silenced.

Another gunshot.

There were no witnesses. This infiltration has failed and no one would be able to report back to their boss. Unless, the boss is the witness.

"What the hell did you do?!" Kenley is pissed. Her subordinates were murdered in cold blood. As soon as she heard the first gunshot, she immediately rushed to where the sound came from. Then, when she arrived, the second shot had already been fired. Her friends- subordinates' foul murder was enough to tell Kenley what to do. "They had trespassed my country, as so it seems you too, Commander Star," Grace scowled. Kenley clenched her fist, "You killed two innocent people, Gracie!" "It's Lieutenant Grace to you, and I wouldn't exactly call them innocent, considering that the archer killed the south post guards on the mountain," The armed woman reminded her. The commander wanted to talk back, but kept her cool,

"You already knew we were coming from the very beginning..." Kenley said as she grinned her teeth. "Indeed we did." The commander tilted her head, "We...?" There were people around them, looking at the scene they caused. "The purpose of your 'visit', my wife." Shit. Kenley thought to herself. They knew everything. They know everything. We messed up. How much could they possibly know more about our plans... "Right! About that! I- uh," Star looked around her, searching for her communicator to call in back-up. "Searching for this?" Grace held up Kenley's communicator, when it caught Kenley's attention she broke it. It was no longer working. "Now, now, I wouldn't want you to call in back-up, wouldn't I?"

How... how much do these fuckers know?! "Staying silent, huh? Well, soon enough, silence would be your only option," Grace reloaded her gun and pointed it at Kenley. "Don't move, it will be quicker that way." Kenley didn't know what to do. She gave a panicked and frightened look to Grace. But that was what she wants Grace to think, something Grace didn’t know was that Kenley is partially immortal. Whenever she gets an injury where most people will die, she blows up. She's going to burn everything in a 50 meter radius. That's how Kenley got her nickname: Burning Star.

Ghost arrived out of thin air. She seemed to come from a whole different direction than from her house. But that doesn't matter, she already fell right into Kenley's trap. "Grace! Don't shoot!-" Ghost turned even paler then she was, but ran over to Grace to hug her as her final moment. Grace had already shot 3 bullets that were on its way to hit Kenley. She had processed the goddess’ cry, but soon enough it was far too late to stop it. Grace turned to Ghost, "WHAT?!" Ghost quickly spread out her gigantic, pure white wings and covered her loved one.

But the bullets had already hit ‘Commander’ Kenley, had hit the Burning Star.

Ghost whispered her last words to Grace, "Don’t worry, the children are safe."

Last week, Tuesday. 01:37 a.m…

”Hey Grace, I remember it now.” Grace looked at her, “Oh? What do you remember?” Ghost looked up at the sky, “My name.” The dark-haired woman blinked, “Your name was Ghost, right?” Ghost looked back and turned her head towards Grace, “No… I told you that that was my nickname.” Grace turned red, “Ah, my bad. Forgive me, I forgot.” The goddess looked back at the sky, “It’s fine. But, do you know why there are only trees of the same kind?” “Uh, because you like them?” Grace replied. Ghost sighed, “Because it resembles me. You see, my name is actually #$”^&(!£7” The hero looked at her with full surprise and confusion, “W- what?” The goddess repeated, “My name is 9!£^$%*” The hero looked at her with full surprise and confusion, “W- what?” The goddess repeated, “My name is 6*&%!#£”- “8&!”$£(”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

A woman was laying on the ground, exactly where she blew up. The one who caused the explosion, is partially immortal. Whenever she is supposed to die, she doesn’t. Instead, she blows up, and burns everything in reach. That’s where she got her name from: Burning Star. But yet again, that's not for infinity. Meaning, she will die after she had been blown up for a certain number of times. But whether she likes it or not, the end of her life is nearing soon enough.

The mansion and some houses nearby collapsed, corpses and ashes on the ground. There were a few casualties, but thanks to Ghost, most of the people evacuated in time. Though that does not stop the people who thought were safe in their houses. The explosion was huge and the aftermath was like hell. The ground was burning in flames, homes were destroyed along with the people living in it.

Kenley woke up, they coughed and their eyes watered as the concrete dust was still flowing in the air. They sat down, “Ugh, I hate it when that happens. What did I even do to deserve this...?”

Kenley stood up, struggling a bit, and looked around. “Whoa, it’s like a whole crater! So much destruction...”

She walked over to Grace and Ghost's corpses and crouched near Grace, “Foolish... so many people suffered because of your mistake. But at the end of the day, I'm always one to blame.”

Then she turned around and faced Ghost's body, “You know, I envy you. You’re able to actually die, you’re one of the lucky goddesses who get to be mortal. And here I am, with the curse of partial-immortality...” She sighed, “I'm sorry, Ghost. I didn’t want your life to end like this, I just-" Kenley stopped. What’s even the point in explaining it to a dead corpse?

She stood up and walked over to Ghost and Grace's garden. She plucked the most beautiful flowers and walked back to their dead bodies. She divided the flowers and placed a few of them on Grace's body, and some others on Ghost’s. She closed their eyes gently with her fingers. Holding her own hands together and closing her eyes, she finally spoke again, “May you two rest in peace, away from this cruel world.”

Kenley stood up once again and walked over to Jiska and Isabel's bodies, “I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry.” A single tear dropped down, “You both weren’t supposed to go out this way, let alone today. Your sacrifices will be remembered,” She grabbed the other flowers and placed the others on both their corpses. Closing their eyes with the same gentle hands.

“May you rest in peace, along with everyone else who passed.”

Kenley stood up and walked towards what was over from the mansion, she still hadn’t gotten hold of her objective. Where is it?

It seems like it is nowhere to be found. Damn it. I'm too late, Ghost must’ve already handed it to someone before I came here. Kenley sighed in defeat, I should go back now.

Kenley walked away, looking down, back to the small ship she arrived with. She typed the coordinates and everything else she needed in the data pad and sat down in the helmsman's seat. She still remembers the navigation courses she had, after a minute the ship flew away. On its way back to space. After a while, Kenley had put the ship on autopilot and stood up, moving away to her sleeping area.

She sat on her bed and was deep in thoughts, the mission was a success.

But at what cost?

Her friends dying is far from a new thing, but she still gets devastated from it. She is getting used to the people in her life passing away, one by one, yet...

Death is not something you should get used to.

It has been 5 years since the mass-destruction in South-East Fyari, which would be later written down in history books as: "The Fall of the Legends". The news of the twins had been leaked, and people outside Fyari would question who they were, and where.

Meanwhile, the civilians of a town in east Fyari most certainly did know. Especially the two friends who Ghost had reached out to. The ones who promised they would take care of the twins... separately. They figured it would be best for the twins if they were to be separated, for their own safeties.

Mew got raised by Ghost's friend, Logan. Logan was a very smart person, they’re a professor in a huge lab in the biggest city in Fyari. They’re quite wealthy and popular. She was also the first one to find Ghost when she was banished from the Land of the Gods, and was sent to Earth. Her immortality was also taken that day. Logan found Ghost when she was doing research outside Fyari, and Ghost randomly appeared on the ground. Since then, they were good mates who could trust each other whenever, and wherever. Logan is also Katyusha's sibling, so both Ghost and Grace trusted Logan to raise and take care of Mew.

Logan’s long, light caramel hair is most of the time tied back with a bandana worn as a wide headband. Her steel blue eyes has kindness inside, but far from softness. They have big, round glasses in front of their eyes, but mostly its on her head. They normally wears a white lab coat over her librarian stylish clothes. When she has a free day or free time she likes to read books about mythology. She is a huge mythology fan, especially of the Greek.

Luna, on the other hand, was raised by Grace's friend, Noyu. Noyu was a medic in the same crew as Grace on a ship. But when Grace died, the whole crew disembarked. They lost their best crewmate, and fell into a period of despair. They were all very close and losing her felt like a piece of their hearts and lives were gone. Noyu was the closest to Grace, and Grace was the closest to Noyu. They trusted each other with everything they have. When the ex-medic found out about Grace's twin daughters, he promised to take care of Grace’s blood and raised one of the twins as his own.

Noyu is also British like Grace was, even though Noyu was actually born in England, and Grace was born in France. He had jet black hair and a buzz cut with a fade, his eyes had a russet colour with a hint of burgundy. He also had glasses, but they were black and rectangular. Ever since he retired at age 23, he likes wearing business casual style when he feels like it. But his wardrobe has more dark academia casual clothing.

They both lived in the city, seeing each other occasionally, but they never brought Mew nor Luna whenever they would meet. They are 6 years old now, “too young” to know the truth. But one day, one day they will know it. They will find out about their true identities, and everything could go in two ways: They would be closer and always be there for each other, protecting one another. Or...

...it could all go downhill.

In Noyu's residence, it’s the opposite of silent. Two people are screaming at each other, and the 6-year-old child is listening in quietly in their room. One was at the front door, one was inside. The people are arguing about one’s future.

Noyu was frustrated, “You can’t force that upon her! She’s still too young!”
“She has to learn about the real world, how can she survive not knowing people are out there for her?!” Evelyn shouted back.

Evelyn was a beautiful, but mischievous woman. She had glossy white skin and ocean blue eyes. She had split dye hair, one half was light pink, the other half was dark purple. Her hair was short, but with a bun on both sides of her hair. She was quite tall too, 6’1 and she’s even wearing heels, giving an extra push to her height.

“It was her parents' dying wish! And until she is the appropriate age, I will take care of and raise her,” Noyu clenched his fists, “As long as I'm alive, no one is touching Grace's child. And that includes you too, Evelyn,”

But Evelyn seemed to not care, “Appropriate age? She already hit that age!” She tried convincing the man, but he thought otherwise.

“Already hit that age?? SHE’S SIX! SHE’S ONLY FUCKING SIX!” He fought back. This isn’t the first time he had gotten this annoyed at someone, and especially not the first time getting annoyed by Evelyn.

The woman rolled her eyes, “Six is old enough! We have to take her in and teach her how to protect herself! And that included her sister, too.” She should’ve not said that, because that’s where she crossed the line. Noyu is even more pissed, but this time with a gush of anger.

“Logan will never let you get your filthy hands-on Mew, just like how I will never let you do the same to Luna.” Noyu closed his eyes slowly. He's had enough of her. “That’s enough, get out.”

Evelyn insisted, “It’s not like we’re going to make her work hard 24/7! It’s just a training-"

“I said, GET. OUT! Leave.” Noyu gave looked the woman dead in the eye, and she finally decided to move.

She sighed in defeat, “Very well, I won't bother you two anymore.” But the Cosmos might. She thought to herself, with a small grin.

Noyu went upstairs to where Luna was, “Luna? Where are you?”

Luna stood up from behind a couch, with a slight forced smile. She hates it when people scream, she dislikes it when people can’t get along. “Here...”

“Hey, are you okay? Did you hear me and my... friend's... conversation?” He asked nervously. Why even bother asking, he knows that the child did.

“Nu-uh, but I did hear scweaming. Did something happen?” They lied. They did know what Noyu and Evelyn were talking about, but they didn’t want their caretaker to know of that.

“Nothing... bad... happened! We were just discussing the, uh, bills!” Noyu forced a smile.

Bills. Really? That’s the best excuse you could come up with? “Oh, alrighty! Can I have food, me me hungy!” Luna jumped up and down. They really were hungry.

Noyu smiled, a legitimate one, “Of course, you little hamster. Let’s go!” They walked downstairs and went outside.

With Luna walking besides him, Noyu grabbed his communicator and quickly messaged Logan to warn them.

Noyu hid his communicator in his pocket and held Luna's hand before walking into the cafe. They walked in and ordered pancakes for Luna, and Noyu order some for him as well.

Logan sighed and placed her communicator on the kitchen table, “I swear to god, she’s so annoying," They face palmed internally and walked upstairs.

Logan opened the door to Mew's room, “Mew Mew, get ready, we're going out!” They smiled softly at the child.

Mew looked up from her toys, “Yay!” She placed her toys on the ground, “Where to?” She questioned excitedly.

“We’re going to Friday’s! Your favourite!” Logan said ruffling Mew's soft, blonde hair.

The child shined and ran around in circles, “Yayy!! I love Friday’s!” She stopped in front of Logan and pulled on their coat, “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!”

The professor giggled, “Yeah, yeah. C'mon,” They both walked downstairs and Logan grabbed her car keys. Mew ran to the car with Logan behind her, “Don’t forget your seatbelt!” The woman reminded the daughter.

Mew quickly put on her seatbelt, “Mhm!”

They drove off to the restaurant, Mew fiddled with her jacket while waiting. But little did they know that they drove past a car with familiar faces, a friend and a child, driving back home from a certain cafe.

The lives of the twins moved on pretty quickly and they had a normal, teenage life. The one they deserved.

But soon enough, ten years had passed.

And their lives would get much more complicated.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Bring it back before the 20th of August,” A young librarian told the girl. A girl was at the huge and only library in Xeipi, a city in east Fyari. She loves reading and going to this specific library, not that there are any other ones. She is quite known in Xeipi, mostly because of her parent. Or more like her guardian, her guardian is a popular professor that does researches and studies for the country. The professor’s name is Logan, a good friend of the late Goddess of the Sky. The girl's name is Mew, she's one of the daughters of the Goddess of the Sky and the famous hero. She turned 16 this year, along with her twin whom she never knew she had. And for the other likewise.
“Will do! Thanks, Jona,” The girl replied. She is a regular to this library and knows everyone who works here, and there aren’t many. Jonathan is the head librarian and the owner. It used to be his parent’s library, but after they divorced and the both of them moved out of Fyari, he took over.
Jonathan is a 20 year old whose parents passed away at age 17, right before his birthday. They died of “unknown circumstances”, though Jonathan didn’t believe shit. The most famous library in whole Fyari is what they left behind, Jonathan decided to love the library and protect it at all cost.
Jonathan smiled, “No problem, Mew mew!” Mew put the book in her tote bag and was about to walk away, until, “Ah! Jona!” Jonathan looked back at Mew and answered with a confused look. “Do you know if Beyond The Roses by Alliumhalo, or also known as butterflydescent, is out?”
Jonathan sniffled, “You’re the 3rd person to ask for it today! Sadly no, I can message you as soon as the author publishes it, though,”
Mew gave a disappointing look, “Oh, that’s fine,” Suddenly she remembers something and her face lit up, “Oh! And what about No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai? I heard it came to this library last week, but I couldn’t find it just now.”
The librarian checked his computer, after a few second he looked back at Mew, “Since there is only one of it, cause it’s quite old and is a limited edition, someone was faster than you. But according to the system, He’s going to bring it back tomorrow!” He grinned, “He is my friend and heard of the news earlier, but you can wait until he brings it back.”
“Fine by me, I’ll be here early tomorrow!” And Mew ran out of the library with a waving hand and a smirking smile.9:53pm
“Pleaasee!!” The girl begged, “No! You already had many!” The other said annoyed. The girl pouted and crosses her arms, “Why are you such a bitch?!” The man turned around and look the girl in the eye, “HUH?! Who are you calling a bitch, dumbass?!” “You, idiot!”
Two people were arguing, as always. Even if one raised the other, they always seem to fight. Luckily, it’s always in a joking way and they don’t actually hate each other… hopefully. Noyu isn’t that much older than the other, which is Luna. Luna is 16, Noyu is turning 28 this year. Whenever they argue, it’s, most of the time, about food. Luna loves food and Noyu is always too tired. Luna tries to steal Noyu’s food a lot, and sometimes with asking. Though, I would call it more of a warning than a question.
Noyu sighed, “Fine, take one chicken nugget,” Luna beamed and took one, they quickly took a bite and nodded in pleasure. “Mm, my favourite!”
The man rolled his eyes playfully and stood up to place his plate in the dishwasher . “Don’t forget to start it once you’ve placed your plate in the dishwasher! I’m going to my room, I have work so don’t bother me. Goodnight in advance,” Noyu waved at the girl and walked upstairs.
After a few minutes, the woman did as told and washed their hands afterwards. Luna suddenly remembered something, in which includes having to go as fast as possible to the library tomorrow. A limited edition book which happens to arrive in the library in her city just a week ago, and tomorrow the first person who borrowed it will bring it back, so they will have to be fast. “I’m just going to sleep early, or else I won’t be able to wake up early to get the book,” Luna thought to herself, and did the exact thing she said she would.
The next day, Luna woke up at 5am. The library opens at 6, but Luna still has to prepare and eat breakfast before going. They got ready and started eating some cereal from the pantry, the milk was finished, so they ate it plain. After drinking their morning coffee they grabbed the housekey’s and opened the door, “Noyu! I’m going to the library, bye!” There was a small response from upstairs and they left. They started walking to the library while observing the beauty of Xeipi. Even though she has lived here her “entire” life, she still admires the city. Fyari itself is voted the most beautiful country in the world, so there is no surprise there.
Luna arrived at the library and found the owner opening the doors, “Jona!” She waved to her friend. Jonathan looked at Luna and waved back, “Ah, Luna! You’re early, you here for the book?” The soft sound of the tree leaves rustling in the background calmed their minds and they both walked inside of the library, “It eases your mind, doesn’t it?” Jonathan said softly.“Yeah, it does. It’s such a wonderful place to have a library,” Luna stated quietly, they looked at Jonathan and smiled. The librarian rested his face and smiled back, “Has anyone ever told you about your beautiful smile? Nature is not the only thing easing my mind right now,” Jonathan walked further in the library and went over to the reception, setting everything ready for customers. Luna stood still, it was the first time anyone said anything about her smile. It made her feel all fuzzy inside. She snapped back in reality and skipped in happily. I don’t know if you’ve realised, but I’m glad I’ve made friends with you. Luna said in her mind.
The girl walked over to some seating place, waiting for the person to bring back the book. Apparently they were also Jona’s friend, gosh, can’t wait to meet them! Customer after customer, Luna kept wondering if they were the person with the book. After all, she had absolutely no idea how that person looks, but she would want to be friends with them. A friend’s friend is my friend.
“Sup Jona!”
Luna immediately stood up from her seating place and looked over to the entrance to see a girl, about the same age as her. She had short, blonde hair with a side part. Blueish green eyes with glasses in front of them. Her hair was straight, but in a small braid. Could that be the one with the book?
Jonathan looked over, “Ah, Mew! You’re here for the book, correct?”Oh, just another person wanting the book. Luna sat back down.“Yup! Has the person already handed it in?” The girl named Mew questioned. But Jonathan shook his head and the girl sighed. “Of course they hadn’t, it’s only like what, 7:45am?” And the girl walked over to the seating place on the other side of the library, and sat down. She pulled out her phone and earplugs and started listening to music.
7:45am?! I’ve been here for nearly two hours? Maybe I have come here too early-
That was when another customer came in, with a small paper bag in their hand. There must be a book inside it. They had gracious, curly, dark brown hair, just about to their shoulders. Their eyes matches their hair and their gaze was bright.
“Ayup Jona! I brought the book,” The customer said while holding up the bag. Mew seemed to have her volume low, since she, along with Luna, turned to look at the direction of the soft voice. Jonathan looked at the customer and beamed, “Vee! Wonderful, there are a few others who also wanted to read it, so I’m glad your finished with it. Did it come to your liking?”

“Ehh??! Sorry if I took so long to read it, it’s an amazing book and I wanted to reread it.” Vee quickly said, slowly getting flustered.

Jonathan sniffled, “It’s fine, no need to worry. They are my friends too and are patient enough to wait for you!”

“I see,” Vee sighed in relief. “Well, here’s the book!” He reached into his bag and gave the book to the librarian. “I hope they’ll like it too! I’ll go search for another book to read.” Vee skipped to where the horror books were stored and waved to his friend.
Jonathan accepted the book, “I’m sure they will, have fun!” He walked over to the ‘limited edition’ books were and shoved the book in between two others. He walked back to the reception, looking to where Luna and where Mew were, but they were not there anymore. Before he knew it, they were both where he just was, about to grab the book.
Luna and Mew both reached out to it, but found the both of them grabbing it at the same time. They looked at each other and stared for a while. Jonathan thought they were going to fight for it, but…The girls giggled at the same time and both let go of the book, Mew began, “So you also wanted this book, huh?” “Mhm, the author is such a good writer!” Luna responded.
Mew softened her face, “You know what? You take it, I’ll borrow it after you,”

“Thanks, but you can take it. I bet you’ve waited longer than me,” Luna pointed out.

“It’s fine, truly, just take it.” Mew grabbed the book and held it in front of Luna.

Luna pushed the book back towards the girl, “I insist, take it. I’ll read it after you.”

“No, no, yours.” Mew pushed it back.

“Really, thanks, but I insist.” Luna did the same.
Jonathan facepalmed and walked over, looking disappointed. “Seriously? You guys are lame, I wanted to see you fight for it.” The girls quickly turned to their friend, somehow looking even more disappointed at him. “Alright, alright, I get it. No violence then, sheesh.” Jonathan rolled his eyes jokingly.

“You’re such a bad owner, n o r m a l owners would prevent violence in their shops. You instead encourage it,” Luna stated and shook their head. The three of them laughed quietly, as they still are in a library, where you have to be as quiet as possible.
What the three of them didn’t know, was that the one named Vee was secretly eavesdropping on them. Though, their motive seems to be unknown. For now.Vee sneaked over quietly to the three and ‘accidentally’ bumped into Luna, “Oh my bad, my bad.” He grinned as he left off, leaving the others confused. Mew asked, “Who was that? I couldn’t see because of the black bucket hat covering their face.” “Same here,” The other two replied. They decided to shrug it off and went on with their conversation. “So what’s your name?”

“My name is Mew, and you?” The other responded. “Luna, the name’s Luna. Nice to meet you, Mew!”

“Likewise!”

“I guess we both know Jona,”

“Of course, I mean, who doesn’t?”

“That is true,” They both sniffled and Jonathan chimed in.
When they were done, they still had one problem. “So, who’s going to take it? No more modesty.” Jonathan declared. The girls looked at each other, and whispered in each other’s ears. The librarian raised an eyebrow and sighed. After a moment, they finally came to a solution. “I will borrow it first, then Luna will read it after me.” Mew said. “Yup, besides, I still have my book Mythos by Stephen Fry!”“Fair enough, now that that’s settled. Get the hell out of my library, you’re both too loud.” Jonathan pointed at the door, fake pouting. “But I still have to check out-“ Mew started. “No excuses, I’m going to put it in the system. Now go.” Both girls ran out and giggled, “So, which way do you have to go?” One asked the other. “I live in xxxxxxx RD, you?” Luna stopped and looked surprised, she calmed down and beamed, “You do?! I live in the exact same street!” Mew stopped too and turned around, “You’re joking.” “I’m dead serious, I’ve lived there my whole life!”
“You’re actually kidding, me too!?”

“How the hell haven’t we met before?”

“No idea, but that’s so cool!”

“I know right? You know what, race you there!” Mew ran off laughing.

“Hey! Unfair!” Luna started running too and chuckled.
They arrived at the street, turns out, their apartments were on the other side of their own. “What kind of coincidence is that! Amazing isn’t it?” Luna smiled at Mew. Mew looked at the girl and rested her face, “You have a beautiful smile, I like it.” Mew smiled back, “Yeah, it’s crazy that we’ve never met, living right across each other.”That’s the second person complimenting my smile, weird, but I’ll take it. “Thanks! And it is crazy, maybe a little too odd. But I’m going to my apartment, farewell!” Luna walked off and waved at Mew, smiling. “I will do so too, bye!” Mew waved at Luna, also walking to her apartment. Luna arrived at the entrance port of her apartment, because this street is full of quite the wealthy people, you have to scan your ID-card to get in. Luna reached into their purse, but can’t seem to find their ID-card. “Huh? Where is it? I thought I left it in the small pocket of my purse… I should call Noyu to open the door for me.” Luna grabbed their phone from their pocket and looked through her contacts to find her guardian’s phone number. She called the number and he picked up after three rings.
--“Sup?”--“Nothing much, except for the fact that I’m locked out of the apartment.”--“Pfft, how did that happen?”--“I don’t know man, I think I forgot my ID-card in my room, even though I thought I had put it in my purse. Oh well, I’ll search for it in my room.”--“God, you’re so irresponsible.”--“Oh, shut up.”
Luna rolled their eyes.--“So you want me to open the door for you?”--“Nah man I want to stay locked outside.”--“Whatever. Well you see, I’m at work, so I can’t open it for you.”--“Bruhhh.”--“Says the one who lost their ID-card”--“Okay whatever, what time are you getting off?”--“About 8pm.”--“WHAT?! It’s currently 9:25am!”--“That’s how work works, dEaR.”--“Ugh, fine, I’ll walk in the park then.”--“Fine by me, stay sa-“
Luna hung up, “Ugh, I hate this. Welp, time to walk then.” They started walking to the park, while listening to music, Jazz music. Did I lose the card somewhere? Think, Luna, think! Then they stood still, I know now. In the library, the one with the bucket hat who bumped into me, they must’ve pickpocketed me! Oh man I’m so pissed. That fucking bastard!
Meanwhile, a few minutes before, somewhere outside of the library, someone had managed to get some information about another. How? By pickpocketing their ID-card after bumping into them in a library. Why would they even want information on the other? Who knows. All we know is that they have it, no matter what they are going to do with it.
“Huh, so it really is her. Interesting.”The girl arrived at the most idyllic park in Fyari, or maybe even in the whole world. They started walking around, they walked slowly while observing the beautiful nature. Then they found it, her favourite place of the whole park; the biggest willow tree, half in the sunlight and half in the shadows. Yellow dandelions on the ground, and cyan/ turquoise roses in the bushes, some even on the grass, the calming river flowing down perfectly. Officially, there isn’t a rule where you have to be silent, yet all the people visiting the park try to stay as quiet as they can. The sound of it’s nature is lovely and no one would want to interrupt it, the birds chirping, fishes swimming in the river and the leaves rustling in the wind.
Luna ran towards the willow tree in excitement, the park is way more beautiful when it’s dark. That is because of the fireflies that roam around along with the butterflies, could this park get any more beautiful? As they ran, they seemed to trip over air and fell, rolling on the grass. Luckily there was no one except her and… an ominous person. On second thought, there was something there. A foot, maybe? Was it on accident…? Luna thought to herself.
She looked behind and found a small, what seems to look like a kid, in a cloak. It was a silky navy-black cloak that had what seems to be the whole Galaxy with a huge moon, or was it a C? The hood was covering their face, so she couldn’t recognise them. The cloak was long, it dropped down to their feet. Who even is that? “Was that on purpose?” Luna scoffed.
The person in the cloak sniffled softly and pulled their hood off, “Oh my bad, I must’ve accidentally stuck my foot in front of you.” They smiled- or was it more like a grin? They walked over to Luna and stuck out a hand, “You can call me ‘Max’, nice to meet ya!” Luna accepted the helping hand and took it, “Or not!” ‘Max’ suddenly announced and pressed a handkerchief against Luna’s breathing systems. What the- fucking chloroform?! Ah shit… I’m going to pass out… Luna’s body dropped, but ‘Max’ catched her body just before it dropped on the ground. “Such a fool, falling for such an obvious trap,” ‘Max’ shook his head.
“You have her?” A voice came from under a tree, a small girl with the exact same cloak as ‘Max’ appeared and smiled at him. “Seems like you do!” The girl walked over to help ‘Max’ with bringing Luna to their “base”. ‘Max’ looked at the girl, “Alright, uh, how are we going to bring her back?” “I have no idea, I’m too weak,” “And you think I can bring her? Hell no!” “At least from the two of us, you are a bit stronger, ‘Max.” “And you are the smartest one here, ‘Kalistair’!”“I don’t know how that links to anything, but oh well. Why thank you! I’m flattered.”“Oh you idiot-““I thought you called me the smartest? And now an idiot? Make up your mind,” ‘Kalistair’ shook her head“Whatever, we’re getting to distracted, c’mon.”The two of them started dragging Luna to some place underground, it looks like some sort of secret base, and brought the girl to a decent sized room. They tied her hands together and left her on a silky smooth, white bed. They walked out of the room and locked the door. Luna woke up an hour later, “Ugh, where the fuck am I?” They looked around, the room had a giant chandelier hanging on the ceiling, a long, steel blue corner sofa, a soft white bed and a nightstand. There were bottles of water and a bag of salt sticks on the nightstand. “The hell? Is this a 5-star kidnapping, what’s going on?” The girl sighed, “Might as well suit myself.” They got up and grabbed some water and the bag of salt sticks and started munching on them.
Halfway done with the bag of salt sticks she placed them back on the nightstand and drank some of the water before standing up, “Now, what should I do?” Luna walked in circles before she heard the door opening click, they quickly turned around and stood their guard. The door opened, revealing a small girl that they had not seen before. Though, they do recognise the cloak she’s wearing. It’s the same one that the one who kidnapped me had. “Who are you? Give a name!” Luna said cautiously. The girl gave a little smile, “You can call me ‘Kalistair’,” She started, she looked at the nightstand, “Seems like you enjoyed the snacks we gave you.” Luna shrugged, “I guess. Well, ‘Kalistair’, what am I doing here? Are you that other kid’s ally?” The girl thought for a second, then came back to the moment, “Ah, you must mean Tu- I mean ‘Max, in that case. Indeed I am. But don’t worry, I come in peace.”Luna quickly ran towards the door opening to where ‘Kalistair’ stood and karate chopped the girl, making her lose consciousness and fall on the ground. Luckily, Luna catched her before she hit the ground, carrying her to the sofa and placing her there. She searched in ‘Kalistair’s pockets and found what she needed: the key to this room. Luna walked out and locked the door, but placed the key in front of it. She sighed, “I don’t.”Luna looked at her surroundings, it was a hallway made out of metal. There were a few doors along the hallway, assuming they must be like the rooms she was in. She chose to go right and started running in that direction. But that was when one of the doors opened, revealing two guys with also the same cloak as ‘Max’ and ‘Kalistair’. The both of them saw Luna and one of them shouted, “Hey, what are you doing here?!”
Luna started picking up her pace, “Nothing of importance, bye now!” The two didn’t have it, the other one ordered the other, “Run after her ‘Rhythm’!” “Yeah, yeah, I know ‘Mars’, you come too!” The two of them started running after Luna, with Luna just a few steps ahead.
“Catch me if you can, bitches!” Luna said mockingly. Oh, she really tries to get on our nerves does she. ‘Rhythm’ thought. The cloaked people nearly caught up with Luna, but something seemed to hit ‘Mars’s head, causing him to pass out. They stopped running and heard some shattering too. ‘Rhythm’ looked at his comrade and saw what had hit him, a fucking graffiti spray bottle?! Right as Luna and ‘Rhythm’ looked in the direction of where the spray bottle came from, another one was thrown and just missed ‘Rhythm’ and hit Luna’s back, causing her to hit the ground. But sooner or later another one got thrown and hit the remaining person on the head, and he also passed out along with his friend. Luna rolled on her back and tried sitting on the floor, no wonder they passed out, that fucking hurts man. Luna complained.
Footsteps were ringing in the hallway, Luna quickly looked up to see two gloomy human figures. The light finally shun on them and their appearances became crystal clear. One had short-medium blonde hair, shining aqua eyes. The hair flowing in the air as the figure moves, with a baseball ball in it’s right hand, dragging it on the floor. The other had curly, short dark brown hair, with darker eyes. Their hair was tucked into a black bucket hat. The both of them looked like they were ready to cause a massacre. The brown-haired person gave a hand to Luna and smiled, with one graffiti spray bottle in his other hand. The blonde-haired person smiled too and swung her baseball bat across her shoulder. They don't have the cloak.
The brown-haired spoke up,

“Sorry, you okay?”

I got hit by a fucking graffiti bottle, of course I’m not?!

Besides that, Luna started noticing something about the curled hair one...

They were particularly familiar.

Luna’s eyes widened as they realised…

It’s that bastard.
