“That’s actually quite brilliant, genius, in fact. Tell me, Pepper, who manufactured this?”It wasn’t often that any new insights or advancements impressed the billionaire owner of Stark Industries and well known Avenger, so it made sense when Pepper was a little shocked at how interested her boss was. As he marveled over the 3D blueprinted machine with an almost childlike sense of giddiness, she’s already two steps ahead of him and pulling up a screen to find out more.“Ah… looks like a company called Latveria Connections.”
Latveria??
An immediate flood of unwanted memories flash through the brunette’s mind as his good mood instantly sours and turns elsewhere. Whenever he- hell anyone- heard that country’s name, everyone thought of one thing and only thing only.Doom.The thought sits as a heavyweight and Tony is left to wonder how often he has gone toe to toe with the tyrant known as Doctor Doom while he played dress up as Iron Man.How many times had the metal face of pure hatred come close to defeating him once and for all…A weathered hand presses against his own dark brown locks as Tony eyes the machine that moments ago he thought so remarkably of. Letting out a shaky breath, he ignores the anxious feeling that picks at his brain; instead considering the possibilities of the evil master mind and if this actually meant something. As realization hits, Tony wonders what the chances are.“… Latveria Connections? Why have I never heard of them before?”“Well… their still pretty green. Plus, they rarely deal in anything that you're in the market with, so we’ve never had to take notice.”“We need to fix that. I want to know everything and anything about this so-called company.”Pepper doesn’t have to ask why the sudden interest in hearing the name, she’s been by Tony’s side for as long as she can remember.“You’ll have everything within the hour.”And that’s how Tony winds up spending all night behind his desks and various monitors as he tries to get more information regarding the company and its origins. He comes up empty; relieved to find nothing suspicious, though Pepper had been right when she mentioned they were new.Well, he would just have to keep his eyes on them moving forward; his curiosity sated and already on to other matters that needed to get done before the end of the week. As he meticulously plans, he’s all but ready to forget about Latveria Connections until about a week later when… “Sorry, what?”“I said the CEO and owner of Latveria Connections wants to schedule a meeting with you at your earliest convenience.”An unwanted stutter of his heart has Tony grabbing at his chest as he silently wonders if this was the beginning of a setup for a trap.
Always trust your instinct
.
“Did he say what he wanted to discuss?”“Something about being able to use you for financial backing in an upcoming project and as a resource. He said little else, I’m afraid.”
Know your enemy.
“Hmm, now there’s an idea. Alright, go on and schedule it as soon as he’s available, and thanks, Pep.”If Doctor Doom wanted to play, then they would play.If this all ended up being a legitimate business, well, then Tony would consider a trial partnership between both corporations if the other was interested. If his company was anything like the piece of technology that caught his eye last week, then he could only imagine what the two of them could come up with while working together. His thoughts drift to ideas he’s been playing around with for the past couple of days, and it isn’t until Pepper clears her throat that the inventor is snapped back to the present.“I’ll let you know what he says… and Tony? For the love of god, please be careful.”“I’m always careful,” he says with a wink. Rolling her eyes, the red head gives an absentminded playful swat back before nimble fingers are already pulling out her cell phone and she’s ready to make the call.“Right, and Captain America would confirm all this, right?”*A metal infused hand dangles a gold gauntlet between lax fingers as he listens to the voice on the other end.He hears her ask, “What time works best for your schedule?” and he can’t help the twisted smile that curls up as he relishes in the secretary’s ignorance of the plans now set in motion.“I’ll be flying in on the weekend for other business matters, so Friday night at 9.”“Sure, that would be perfect. I’ll let my boss know.”“Yes, you go on and do that,” his voice is bored and detached now that he’s heard what he’s wanted to hear.“Um, well, I hope you have yourself a wonderful-”He unexpectedly hangs up, the phone thrown carelessly to the side as he adjusts himself further back in his throne; the gauntlet swirled casually as he basks in his winning success that’s sure to come.~~~*~~~“Tony- or do you prefer Mr. Stark?”Hearing his name, he looks up with a thoughtful expression as he regards the other man in question.God, his voice sounds familiar but… Tony’s just not sure.As far as he knew, Dr. Doom never took his mask off ever, and even if he did, he was supposed to be horribly disfigured. The business man in front of him with the mischievous glint and rich green tailored suit was anything but; the Avenger finding his mouth growing dry as he casually shakes the other’s hand.“Tony’s fine. Mr. Stark makes me sound like I’m ancient or something, though with what goes on around here some days, I wonder.” His comment is automatically on autopilot, more focused on seeing if there’s any recognition to this Latveria man and the notorious villain, but the other shows no signs of having encountered him before.“Yes, well, you are a… busy… man,” and the billionaire doesn’t miss the obvious pause, unsure whether he was flirting or simply being straight forward. It wasn’t a secret anymore that Tony Stark, billionaire industrialist, was also the man behind the ironed mask; having multiple identities and roles to fill.“Aren’t we all? I’m sure you're just as busy, Victor, or should I call you doctor?”A well-defined eyebrow raises in interest; wondering where this game was going.“Did a little reading up on me, did you, Tony?” And there’s no denying the insinuation behind the tone. The Avenger blushes at the slip up, though he pays no mind to such silliness as he’s already firing back, “Can never be too careful Doc, but no, that’s not why. I kind of obsessively analyze my physical environment… and I like to people watch. So when you first walked into the restaurant, I noticed the obvious confidence in your demeanor, and so I assumed you were used to commanding a room. At a quick glance at your hands, I could tell you readily use them because your skin is rubbed raw and permanently cracked from usage rather than neglect; and that’s something you find quite often in the medical field because of constant handwashing. Now, by all this and factoring in yourself with your meticulous apparel, I would deduce you were a doctor, and judging by your response, I was right.” A smile unconsciously spreads across Tony’s face, rather pleased with himself, and even more so when Victor returns the gesture. He wasn’t used to people enjoying his ‘know-it-all-nature’, as Rhodes liked to put it.“My, my, watching me so… closely, Tony. It makes me wonder, is it to spy, or are you simply trying to enjoy the view?” There’s no teasing in his tone, nor is their judgement, and it’s the indifference that has the brunette horrified at how turned on he was suddenly becoming.“I-I um, no I didn’t mean-” and he’s thankful when Victor’s laugh cuts his stuttering short, though it’s not loud enough to drown out the rushing dread he feels over his deepening blush and the reason why.“Your lucky you impress me or I’d be insulted with all this extra treatment you seem to lavish my way. Or…” he leans slightly forward as he locks eyes with the Avenger, “Perhaps I should feel flattered?” The downright filthy leer the Latveria shoots at the brunette has Tony closing his legs forcefully in embarrassment as he holds himself tightly under the table. He tries to disregard the tone of his voice or the way he praises him. Tony’s so confused by Victor’s flirty behavior and he hates himself when he realizes how hard it is not to preen under the hungry look the business man is throwing his way.So… maybe Tony has ‘a bit’ of a praise kink, but he tells himself to ignore it, to ignore the way Victor is appraising his body; letting his eyes trail up slowly as Tony shyly stares at the counter and pretends he doesn’t see.Victor watches, a knowing smirk on his face as he rests his face in his hand. “Your a regular Sherlock Holmes, Tony. You're correct, I am a doctor, though with your intelligence, you didn’t need me to confirm it,” he winks ever so casually as he shifts himself back to get comfortable; long legs sprawling out underneath the booth.Tony forces himself not to watch as he turns instead to the menu absent mindedly. He had almost joked and said, ‘flattery will get you everywhere,’ but the Avenger is hyperaware of his heart beating louder than normal and he really doesn’t want to consider the implications behind that.Anxious fingers reach for a glass, old habits dying hard. Tony was the type of guy that always had to hold or do something when he was feeling uncomfortable. It had been two years of sobriety and yet the action was unconscious and desperate and he can’t help but wonder why he felt so turned on on edge with this other man.“So, Doc, what can I do for you on this fine evening?”“It’s not what you can do for me, but what we can do for each other,” and it’s then that his voice takes on an unreadable tone, making matters only worse for Tony’s already growing concern that he’s trying to taper down.Victor’s about to say more but the servers arrived, so he flashes a sly smile instead as he smooths his neck tie down.“Scotch on the rocks and whatever this fine gentleman would like as well,” he doesn’t look away from Tony as he speaks to the other, waving the server away with nonchalant annoyance but not before the waiter leans down and the doctor whispers something that Tony doesn’t quite catch. He wonders if he’s telling the employee that he’s an alcoholic, but Tony pushes the feeling down as he orders something as well; smiling with hidden unease only when he notices the doctor eyeing him up with an unreadable look of his own. There’s something laced behind the gesture, but he chalks it up to not being used to someone as self assured as himself. He’s about to ask about the project, or whatever his reasoning was for coming to this meeting in the first place, but it seems the other was content to settle in first. When the drinks come and they both take a sip is when Victor finally speaks.“Does this bother you?” a well-framed eyebrow raises up in question as he lightly tips at the liquor in his crystal glass.“No,” the response is automatic as he tries to hide the wince on his face. It’s not like he was a stranger to being around alcohol, hell Tony had been sober for about 2 years now and still attended the social functions with prominent members of society who always drank around him.People always seemed shocked, but really, why wouldn’t they be drinking still? It was he who had the problem, not them.Sometimes people tried being nice, like Pepper, who always made a point to never drink around her friend/ boss. He appreciated the sentiment, but sometimes it irritated him that people had to be ‘cautious.’ That his addiction was out of its ugly box to not just his friends, but his whole company board and the rest of New York City as well. So, no. It doesn’t bother him that the doctor is drinking, but he will admit that he is concerned with the way Victor’s looking at him as he asks such an inquiry. As if he’s expecting hoping Tony says yes.“Good. I wouldn’t want to make you… uncomfortable.”
Then you're doing a terrible job.
“Not at all, please enjoy.”As the taller man tips his glass back to drain the last of the liquid, Tony watches, unable to look away as the other keeps up the eye contact. His heart beats erratically as Victor wets his lips with his tongue, licking at the edge of the glass before gently placing it back down. There’s a smirk playing at the corner of his lips, but it’s tampered down with an unreadable expression as he cocks his head slightly at the brunette.“Tell me something, Tony. What is it you enjoy?”The question catches the Avenger off guard; face aflame of red due to what he had been ‘enjoying’ inside his head only moments ago as he blushes at the unexpectedness.“I uh, hmm…” he doesn’t know what to say, his mind a scrambled mess of random thoughts and emotions as he prays he doesn’t look as awkward as he feels.“A day where something doesn’t go wrong, I suppose. There’s always some problem, big or small. Nothing ever seems to run smoothly, and it gets to be… exhausting.” As soon as the omission is out of his mouth, the billionaire pales at how sincere and open he had been. The other, having noticed his change of complexion, tsks as if scolding a child before his face softens slightly.“Yes, I suppose it must get to be a lot, doesn’t it?” his voice seems to be lower, more… gentle and Tony’s not sure when he had closed his eyes or when his table mate had started petting the side of his face with his hand; a loose strand of hair being tucked back and out of the way.As time passes, he realizes how improper he must look; allowing such an intimate exchange to continue. Suddenly embarrassed at how submissive he was coming off as; and even worse, how much he was truly enjoying the feel of Victor against his skin.“A-ah I’m sorry. I don’t know what overcame me. I’m just so… s-so tired,” he can hear his words are coming out slurred and Tony silently panics; his concerns only growing when he realizes he doesn’t have the strength to pull away or move.“W-wha?” the billionaire finds his eyes closing again against his will as his body goes lax and his form suddenly slinks forward. His vision turns blurry, unsure of his surroundings other than the feel of the booth’s cushions shift with added weight; a warm figure pressing against his side. The last thing he remembers is someone touching him and a whisper of mocking words ringing close to his ear,“Oh Tony, Tony, Tony. How deliciously pathetic.”
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
…
A soft groan bounces and echoes in a too silent room. It’s in that very silence that consciousness forms.
Ugh…
Fuck… does my head hurt!
When he gets past the throbbing and the groggy stir of reality, Tony has to wonder why his mouth taste suspiciously like wet cement. His head aches. His body feels stiff, and it’s then that his blurry eyes suddenly snap to in recollection of what had just happened and what his current situation now comprised.
Kidnapped!? Are you fucking kidding me! God, this is embarrassing, I’m way too old for this shit!
“Ah, if it isn’t sleeping beauty, awake with the kingdom at last.”Upon hearing his voice, the last piece of the puzzle slips into place as Tony confirms what he already now knows.Long legs, casually crossed, shift to move closer as the hero takes in the familiar appearance of the Latveria man from earlier coming into focus.Tony’s surprised to see that Victor is wearing his business attire, and still without the mask.“You sure have one hell of a way of conducting business with someone, Victor,” he hisses back in disgust. His eyes, now adjusted, scan his surroundings as he takes in the standard type of cell the doctor has put him in. He’s amazed that there doesn’t seem to be any higher level security, but with Doom, there was always another contingency plan set in place.“Sounds like someone’s upset about being bested so easily,” a practiced yawn slips out as he eyes the prisoner; his behavior toying on flirty and uncaring.“Must have been hard.”And oh, he’s tempted to say something else, but Victor quirks his eyebrow in amusement instead.“Hardly, all I had to do was-”“Yeah, no. I’m talking about the fact that you couldn’t address yourself in the third person earlier today at the diner like the complete asshole that you are.”The Avenger waits for the villain to curse him with his self appointed regal air of superiority, but is more disturbed to find Victor looking rather amused instead.“Now, now. That’s not very nice, Mr. Stark… or should I say Tony?” he finishes just short of a growl, his teeth bright and shining as he fixes the superhero with a leer from outside the bars of his cell. The billionaire feels sick, body spasming on the inside as he fights down the familiar memory of being trapped…A time before, he was Iron Man and just simply Tony Stark. He had come a long way since then, gaining more and more experience over the years as he learned to take care of not only just himself, but his company and his team as well. The only problem was, Dr. Doom wasn’t just a genius- he was also one of the most formidable villains Iron Man has ever had to go against in his Avenger career.Losing to him often meant one thing and one thing only. “So this is what we can do for each other, hey?”A delicate finger presses against fine lips as Victor eyes his prey curiously.“And this means… what?”“You tell me. That's what you said when I asked you what you wanted at the diner.”“Ah, yes, and what a shame you couldn’t get what you wanted,” and there’s an obvious draw of disinterest from Victor, though his eyes tell of something… more.It takes Tony a beat before he remembers his words of embarrassing omission.
‘Tell me Tony, what is it you enjoy?‘
‘A day where something doesn’t go wrong, I suppose. There’s always some problem, big or small. Nothing ever seems to run smoothly, and it gets to be… exhausting.’
The sudden overwhelming urge to run or keel over and die spikes in the Avengers veins as he looks away from Victor’s taunting face to his hands instead. It’s in that moment of horror that Tony really wishes he was dead.He can hear a voice- Doom’s- addressing him, but the words blur on in the background; Tony unable to look away from his shaking hands that rest against the front of his new outfit he is wearing. An outfit that Victor apparently has dressed him in.An instant wave of arousal and disgust crashes into Tony’s chest as he desperately fights back a panic attack. Eyelashes flutter close as the Avenger breathes in deeply a few times before calming down enough to hear what the villain is trying to say.“Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? You have a source material I need in order to finish a project I’m currently working on. Knowing you would have figured out my true identity eventually, I couldn’t just go right out and ask for such a sensitive piece of equipment. Now if you're willing to play nice, then I’ll let you go and we can handle this like true business men.”
Business men?
I was drugged and locked in this godforsaken cell and he wants to play…
BUSINESS MEN?!
“Okay, first off let me just stop you right there cause, play nice?? Play nice about what? You just fucking kidnapped me, you asshole! And what’s with the… the clothes I’m… wearing?” Tony stutters, a man whose usual confidence was always a trademark, was now severely lacking; and even more so when Victor deliberately doesn’t respond. He waits until Tony looks up, the hero chilled to see eyes already fixated on him so intensely.“Mmm, if you must know, I confess I did it just to embarrass you, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to enjoying the view myself…” his words trail off as glazed eyes rake in the extremely inappropriate outfit the older man is wearing. The arc reactor in his chest feels unexpectedly heavy, Tony struggling not to choke on such an unabashed comment. He doesn’t let himself register the words, refusing to think of the dominating man with the striking brown eyes as anything other than someone he needed to take down so he can finally escape.“Hm. What, got nothing to say for once in your life, Stark?” the words are cold, almost angry, a twisted smile etched on the villain’s face.“I guess I must still be a little groggy from when you drugged me,” the brunette hisses at Victor Doctor Doom.“Yes, well, I needed to talk with you without turning it into a spectacle. Not my fault you have this overwhelming need to make such an ungodly scene everywhere you go.”Tony scoffs at the other man’s arrogance; almost laughing. ”I’M the one who would make a scene!? Nice, cute. By the way, your little ‘request’ for whatever the fuck you want has been officially denied. It’s done, over, finished. Thanks for playing and have a nice day.”A dark chuckle fills the room; Tony finally hearing the telltale signs of the notorious villain’s true form come to life.“What’s ‘cute’ is that you think you have any choice in this matter. Your humor amuses me, but your arrogance does not. Worry not, however, for that can be corrected with time.”C-corrected?! Tony doesn’t like the sound of that as he unconsciously steps back. It’s then that Victor opens the cell, stepping in with assured confidence as he closes the door behind him and turns to face the billionaire.Strong hands wrap around the chained up neck, pulling sharply as a yelping Tony is forced to his knees and in between Doom’s open legs.“As for what I want… heh, well my dear Avenger, you’ll just have to find out…” the villain drifts off; briefly lost in thought as he takes in Tony’s ruffled appearance underneath him.An overwhelming amount of heat radiates between the villain’s thighs, Tony struggling to keep his composure as he knows in this position the lace skirt he’s wearing is hiked up too high and exposing some of his ass. He goes to fix himself, but Victor’s quick to slap Tony’s hands away; a finger replacing his palm on the billionaire’s chin as he forces the older man to look directly into his eyes.“Now, my smart little boy, we can do this the easy way and you behave…”Tony all but bites his lip to hide the whimper at Victor’s praise. He despises how easy it is to slip into the submissive role, and with Doom, of all people. The grip suddenly tightens and Victor’s voice suddenly becomes darker; crueler, “Or you can try to make things difficult for me. I warn you now Avenger, up to this point I’ve been playing… nice… so if you choose the latter, I’ll show you just how difficult Doom can be.”He spat the title ‘Avenger” as if it were some horrific disease; Victor’s attractive face now twisted into a fearsome scowl. Over the years, Tony Stark had heard every threat under the sun, whether from being a hero or simply a businessman. He knows the game, and he knows how common an empty threat is.This is not one of those moments, and Doom is not like any type of man.Unwillingly, his body shakes as realization sets in. Tony is unable to find the words to fire back, so he settles for a matching scowl instead. The other ignores it, instead silently studying Tony’s face with an unreadable expression. A finger lightly brushes against his cheek before moving down to caress the frown lines that pout against the billionaire’s full lips. Long eyelashes automatically flutter close as Tony's suddenly flooded with the memory of letting the businessman touch him so willingly at the diner. The sensation lasts but a second, but it’s all that’s needed to get the Avenger worried over how he still feels all funny around Victor. He was Dr. Doom, a villain, and a terrible terrible person. So why does Tony…Without warning, Victor lets go of Tony’s face; breaking the Avenger from his thoughts as he focuses on catching himself in time before falling back.“I am almost certain of your answer, but let it never be said that Doom is not fair; so I’ll give you some time to decide. If you're as smart as I know you are capable of being, you’ll think twice before letting your arrogance determine your decision.”With that, he leaves without looking back; shutting the door and sealing Tony in to deal with the onslaught of his too consuming thoughts in the relentless dark. *Hands run across the floor, along every edge, nook and cranny. Looking for something- anything- to get him out of his predicament. He had been stupid ‘so fucking stupid!’, not being more aware; not being as cautious because he had assumed he was safe and now he was paying the price. The chains that had loosely secured him to the back wall were an easy maneuver, but it didn’t go unnoticed by the genius that it was taking him longer than normal to do even the simplest of tasks. Now that he had time to ‘cool down’, the Avenger’s mood had shifted from overwhelmed to pissed and as soon as he got his suit back, he was kicking Doom’s ass.Fingertips weave and tap out a specific pattern on his arc reactor as he waits for the signal…and nothing happens. He tries again and has the same results; a deep sigh already escaping passed firmly pressed lips.“Great, of course Doom’s shitty lair has to have dampeners preventing my suit from processing my readings.” Tony suddenly realizes how naked he truly is with no source of protection; a slight concern of how much time he had before the villain came back suddenly surfacing. At least it seemed he didn’t want to kill him, but how long would that last? Giving Doom anything was out of the question, fully aware of the temper and swift response the Latveria king would command at a moment’s request. He wondered how long it would take before Doom decided he grew tired of hearing no.
‘If you chose the latter, I’ll show you just how difficult Doom can be.’
Tony ignores the implications of what that could mean; deciding he’s not sticking around to find out.“Okay Tony, think, think, think! Assess my surroundings, what can I use? What w-” the older man freezes as he catches his reflection for the first time in a blacked-out window and he swallows dryly. He chooses again to not think about anything but the task at hand as he shakily grabs the thin wire that holds the front of the crisscrossed lace skirt he’s currently wearing. He had been so focused on escape that he had forgotten what he had been dressed in; body, hyperaware of how short the outfit is.The worst is the spiked collar that a dog would wear, wrapped around his neck and bolted shut at the clasp. Tony fights the urge to scratch at it desperately, to rip it from his skin, but he knows he might not have time, so he works feverishly instead. He was never an expert at locks, that was more Black Widow’s style, but if he could create his famous Iron Man suit in the middle of the jungle of Vietnam under the constant pressure and strain of gun fire and life and death situations; then he could do this. There was a twist and some give before the lock made a satisfying clicking noise and the door opens partly.“Ah ha! Score one for Tony!”He does a small happy dance at his success before instincts automatically kick in and the billionaire is looking for the first thing he can use as a half ass weapon; body in a sweat of adrenaline as he makes for the main door.Swinging the hinges open, he’s immediately thrown back as a looming shadow darkens the doorway in a nonchalant yet somehow menacing manner.“If where keeping a point system, then I suppose some congratulations are in order then. Yet I’m curious…”Long fingers gracefully pull out a small controller as he eyes Tony the entire time. Doom’s face doesn’t show any indication of his actions; mask back in place for the first time, and it’s a jarring sight to behold. The Avenger’s seen the trademark mask a thousand times, but it’s only now that the seriousness of the situation weighs heavy on Tony; especially when he notices the doctor flipping the ON position on the remote.Sharp electricity cuts hard as Tony lets out an unexpected yelp before instantly dropping to the floor in a full body spasm.“Does this make the score 1-1 now?”Body trembling, Tony curls up on himself unconsciously as the villain turns the controller to OFF. He hates that he can’t control the whimpers that slip out of his mouth; just as he hates the sick thrill Victor seems to get from watching Tony at his utter mercy.A dark laugh fills the air as Doom bends down to his enemy; a finger slipping under the shock collar as he pulls the shaking brunette roughly to his knees.Tony’s expecting to be hit- instead the silence cuts harder than any word of magic could; eyes so dark sweep quickly over his body in an unsettling regard of coldness.“My, what a sight you make…” His finger slides absentmindedly across the bottom of Tony’s lip, “It’s a shame you let your stubbornness win because now were going to be playing a very different kind of game,” his index slides from his lip to his throat as he squeezes almost teasingly to gage the others’ response. Pleased with what he sees, he drops his metallic hand and turns with a flourish of his green robe; his mind already on another task. The sound of heavy metal fills the air, the glimmer of silver shining on the object in Doom’s hand.It looked like a chained leash for a dog, one that you could clip onto a…
To a collar…
Oh god.
Tony doesn’t need Doom to be maskless to see the wicked gleam radiating off the villain’s smug face as he turns back to him.“Come now, Tony, we have much to discuss. If your little stunt just now is anything to go off of, I’m sure me and you are in for a fun day today.”
