"From now on, this will be the young master's room"The butler, clad in his servant uniform says, he bows his head to the young adult beside him before closing the door to give him some privacy.Sung Jinwoo stares at the spacious room. Too luxurious to his taste. One glance at it and he already wants to go back home. Back to the place where his little sister is.But for now, he needs to endure.Dragging his backpack, he sat on the bed placing his bag on the floor. He will admit that the bed here is softer than the one he used to have. And maybe, the room is cleaner and shinier...and bigger.Everything is better here, however, none of it felt like home.Because Sung Jinwoo is the older brother, he needs to make a few sacrifices, and if that means he needs to move to the main house so Jinah and his mom can have a better life, this is nothing to him.*Jinwoo sat in one of the chairs of the long table for dinner. Surrounded by faces he is not familiar with that gives him a suffocating look."Starting today, this kid will be the heir of this family"Osborne, the head of the main family-Jinwoo's uncle or rather, new father, announces. No one speaks, but the atmosphere was tense. It was as if everyone was aware of Jinwoo's existence tonight with them.Osborne looks at him, "Ifrid will be your butler, he will tell you everything you need to know" He says pointing with his eyes towards Ifrid standing beside the wall along with the other servant.Ifrid. He was the tall man who guided him to his room. Jinwoo's impression of him is, that he looks neat. His face is between handsome and soft, he doesn't look harmful at all, but Jinwoo still is wary of him.Jinwoo's first dinner in the main house felt as if walking in an empty street. He felt uneasy about not knowing what will strike him or whether there will be. He suddenly remembers when Jinah, his little sister told him about how he might get bullied because of his sudden rise in position.So far, none of his cousins protested their father's decision. But he can feel the hostility towards him."This will be your schedule starting tomorrow" Ifrid handed him a schedule sheet after helping him wear his pajama. 'Even pajamas were decided by them'"You have etiquette class in the morning before your school, a piano lesson in the afternoon, and sports you want to play.""Sports?""Yes, young master. You can choose between billiard, golf and horseback riding. Nevertheless, you will need to learn all of those. You can just choose which one to learn first""Isn't that too much?" The words came out of his mouth with no break. Jinwoo stood still he knows he ask something making him look like whining, avoiding eye contact as he notice Ifrid sigh."You should be thankful, all the other young masters and mistresses have no choice but to learn all of them at once. You however was given a lot of freedom by the master"'Right'Ifrid does not hate him, but he is not on Jinwoo's side. Jinwoo is not surprised, everyone here probably works hard cheering and siding on his cousins for the position of the head only for it to land on Jinwoo's lap.He is also used to servants being hostile towards them, all those few servants they have in their house only stay because they were tied to the main branch. If they have the choice, they will leave.Ifrid talks more about the things he would need to do before leaving Jinwoo to sleep. Before he sleeps, he quickly pulls out his phone from his backpack, checking the messages he received from his little sister.

He closed his phone, placing it in the drawer before turning off the lamp."Remember, don't forget that you are now the heir of Master Osborne, you should never embarrass the family"Those were the words Jinwoo's teacher said before ending his etiquette class so Jinwoo can prepare for his school. Etiquette class was not that difficult for him, however, it is not comfortable.Table manners, greetings, everything was something his mother taught him but he never really used it before. Back at home, there were no strict table manners or greetings with his family. He was also not invited to any formal party so he did not get any chance to use it. But here in this house, formality is a must, Jinwoo wonders whether Osborne will kick him out if he accidentally stirs his tea with a tablespoon or if he forgets to greet him in the morning.The school was not any different, there were many stares, murmurs, and suffocating pheromones from omegas and alphas that are trying to show off.For some reason, everyone in his class - no, maybe everyone in the school knows that Jinwoo was the heir of Monarch Company.

One week in school and Jinwoo has created a routine. Escaping from his classmates as soon as class break starts. Back when he goes to a local school near his house, he hangs out with some of his classmates. Their interaction with Jinwoo felt pleasant, however, in his new school, none of the students talking to him feel like they are being sincere.On his first day of school, there are several alpha students some of that are seniors trying to dominate him with their pheromones.On the second day, there was an omega student in heat who tries to seduce Jinwoo. He just presented therefore it was almost impossible for him to control his inner wolf, he ended up biting and wounding his harms and lips to resist the temptation. The whole thing became an issue.The next day was no different. He gets persistent people trying to bug him.Maybe because he just presented as an alpha, perhaps it's because of his secondary gender and the fact that he is dominant with heightened senses and instinct, he became more aware of how people treat him.With the constant reminder of his teacher about people flocking towards him, trying to leech off of him, there is a growing distrust of people inside him.The more he stays at the house, Jinwoo is afraid he might become like the elders in the house. Dominant alphas standing on top, staring down at everyone below them. It's probably early for him yet he slowly understands why dominant always have trust issues with people. Their cold expression was the result of being done with people trying to gain something from them. Jinwoo is just sure that the only people he can trust are his mom and his little sister.In the third building for juniors, 5 minutes walk from the freshman building where Jinwoo's classroom is, there is a vacant room on the third floor with a nice view and a perfect hideout. In the juniors building, Jinwoo wasn't that popular, so there are only a few who pays attention to him when he walks inside unlike freshman and sophomores. It's probably because very few know his face, anyway whatever the reason, he hopes it stays like that until he graduates.He spent his lunch break in that vacant room, eating the lunch box the house prepared for him. He was not allowed to eat any food offered by the school, for some reason, Osborne hates that. Jinwoo was enrolled in the top elite school in Korea, and the daughters and sons of powerful people attend this school. So of course the food in the cafeteria probably is that of the high class, but Jinwoo also doesn't like the idea of eating with many people staring at him.Ka-chalk!The door slammed open, revealing a boy standing in the doorway. When their eyes met, the stranger was startled to see someone occupying the room."Who--""Shhh!" Jinwoo was shushed as the boy closes the door, he looks around the room in a panic, completely disregarding the existence of Jinwoo. The younger watch the stranger roams around, before standing in front of the cabinet in the corner of the room. He opens it and puts out the brooms and cleaning tools. Jinwoo wonders what is he doing, and why is he in rush. But when the stranger stands inside the cabinet, facing Jinwoo, the boy is probably hiding. Their eyes once met before the cabinet door closed."Uh, don't tell anyone I'm here"He heard. Jinwoo nods his head, not knowing whether the boy saw him. There was a minute of silence, and then Jinwoo decided to go back to his lunch. Now that he thinks about it, the stranger is probably a junior student, since well he is in the building of the junior. He is probably a beta because he doesn't smell anything at all. Although beta is not rare, there are not that many beta students in this school. Jinwoo was also aware that beta is often the center of bullying here, which is not surprising.So that pale-looking junior hiding in the cabinet is probably hiding from someone--slam!The classroom door was once again slammed open, and a boy probably taller and bigger and surprisingly good-looking stands there. When their eyes met, Jinwoo shivers. He is not just an alpha."Where is Kim Dokja?" The stranger asks glaring at Jinwoo."Who?" Jinwoo asks. He only knows a few makes of his classmates and he never heard the name Kim Dokja."Are you a freshman?""Yeah...""Tsk" The stranger, Yoo Joonghyuk turns his back, he was about to walk out of the room when he noticed the sets of cleaning tools placed out of the cabinet instead of inside. He scowled at the cabinet as he quickly walked toward it."I know you are in there"
Jinwoo wonders if he should intervene or not. The tall tan guy is mad. Is he a bully? Should he call a teacher? Should he help?"How did you know that?" A voice asks inside the cabinet, the door opens, revealing the pale boy inside the cabinet."Because you are an idiot"Now that Jinwoo looks closely at the pale student, he turns out to be very pretty. His facial features are somewhat similar to how a textbook describes an omega. Petite, small (well not smaller than Jinwoo but he is still growing so...), softer feature. Although Jinwoo met a few omegas who look nothing like how the textbook describes them.He watches the interaction between the two, as if he is not existing at all, they bicker quite a bit before the tan alpha helped the pale beta (?) return the cleaning tools and they left. Turns out the tan alpha is a friend, not a bully.Jinwoo imagine if he interrupted a while ago only to find out they are friends. That will be embarrassing.He quickly finished his lunch, and spend some time doing the advanced reading before returning to his chaotic classroom.***Today is the weekend, Jinwoo used to spend his weekend playing games with his sister or spending time in the hospital watching his mom.However, weekends are now meant for playing sports or social gatherings for elite kids that Jinwoo doesn't want to meet, but he does not have a choice anyway."What do you even do in a social gathering?"Jinwoo asks, raising both his hands so Igris can dress him in his outfit for the event."Do I have to do something?" He added."Young Master does not need to do something, in any case, they should be the one who needs to do something to entertain you" Igris answers, fixing the tie."The only thing I can advise you is to not get into the bad side of the Kims and Yoos. After all, they are as important as our Family"Kim's and Yoos? Jinwoo doesn't even know who are they, how is he supposed to know?"Tusk will tell you more, so you have to visit him in the study room"Tusk was his teacher teaching him about family history and everything he needs to know when it comes to interacting with people. Jinwoo would describe him as a soft teddy bear. Tusk is a very big man, with large muscles and facial scars. Unlike his scary appearance, Tusk is surprisingly very quiet and sweet. He's very patient when it comes to Jinwoo and he often offered the young heir snacks during their lessons."Hades son is called Kim Dokja, he's 2 and a half years older than you. Do you remember what I told you about Hades?"Jinwoo nods his head, recalling last week's lesson about Hades. If Sung Jinwoo came from the clan that only choose Dominant Alpha as their leader, in the Hades household they are mainly a family of omega leaders. They are also the wealthiest family in Europe and are very dominant in some parts of Asia, parts that are not "claimed" yet by Osborne. The fact that such a big family who also works in the same industry as Osborne is a friend instead of a rival to Jinwoo's family is a big question.He's guessing probably because of the so many internal conflicts with the other branch families that Osborne chooses to be friendly rather than making enemies."You gotta be careful around him when you see him, though I know you're a good kid," Tusk said patting Jinwoo's head."Why do I need to be careful?" He just remembers Ifrid told him not to worry about the people around him, yet he needs to be careful around Kim Dokja."Well, he's a Dominant Omega, and you just presented. You're still bad at controlling your pheromones" Jinwoo blushes, he suddenly felt conscious about it."A dominant Omega?""Yes, and he's from a family of dominant omega, so they don't like being pushed asides by Alpha""Well, it's not like they are bad people or anything, it's just their tradition. In their family, Omegas are at the top of their hierarchy, the complete opposite of our family"Jinwoo heard about Dominant Omega in his sex education classes. Omegas are either male or female, they can get pregnant but they cannot get anyone pregnant. Three types of omega currently exist. First is the normal omega, there are a lot of them, and are very common. They have a very normal heat and most of them are female. They have all the same features as any other omega, small, petite usually on the fragile beauty side. Jinwoo is very familiar with them.The second one is the recessive omegas. They are rare, not as rare as a dominant alpha but they can only be found 1 out of 1000 omegas and most of them are male. Recessive omegas have a very sensitive heat period and sometimes it is irregular. They also usually do not get pregnant easily but if they do their pregnancy can be dangerous and also not as successful as the normal omegas. That's why recessive usually can only have one baby. Jinwoo was told that recessive omegas pheromones are not as strong as a normal omega unless they are in heat.Lastly are the Dominant Omega. They are the rarest of them all. To meet a dominant omega is as scarce as seeing a shooting star. They can hide their pheromones with no traces of scent, and make it look like they are betas. They have the strongest pheromones, better than Dominant Alpha that's why when they say Dominant Alpha is the one on top of the pyramid, it's a pyramid where Dominant Omega is not even part of it. They are so rare that some don't even know if Dominant Omega is just a myth or media propaganda. And to think that Jinwoo will meet one today.The car ride was pretty awkward. Jinwoo will attend together with his older cousin from the closed branch family, Beru, and Greed. Both are former candidates for the position of heir. Both also have extreme hostility towards Jinwoo. The car stopped in a very big, expensive-looking building. Securities and servants are waiting outside greeting each master coming out of the expensive cars.They were led inside the building, while walking Jinwoo think he caught someone familiar but couldn't check probably with all the bustling and fussing people, later on, they are in a huge greenhouse garden. There are various expensive-looking plants scattered, pretty big fountains, and tables full of treats. There are also some kids running around, servants serving food, and a group of teenagers sitting and talking."It's a tea party," he mumbles. Jinwoo sat somewhere far from the entrance that is not crowded and hidden. He notices Beru sitting beside him and when their eyes met, Beru only raises his eyebrow at him before motioning for a servant to serve him tea. Meanwhile, Hwang Dongsoo, or Greed as he prepared to be called is with some group of kids his age.It's awkward and boring at the same time. He doesn't point it out but he can feel Beru stealing glances. Probably watching what he will do, he doesn't mind though not like he will do anything anyway.Jinwoo doesn't understand how these kids are enjoying this event, he'd rather stay at home studying or practice some kendo."Are you stupid? Why would I do that?" A loud voice belonging to a female catches Jinwoo's attention. There are three people, probably older than Jinwoo entering, they are talking about something he doesn't know but the short hair girl looks pissed.Wait —oh.It's the seniors he met at school. The dominant alpha, the pale Hyung, and an alpha female.Jinwoo notice how the kids shut their mouths as the three announce their appearance, he also saw how Beru clicked his tongue but fixed his posture as if their father came."What are y'all staring at?" The short hair girl said before rolling her eyes as the kids on the table they walk past avoided her gaze."Geez stop scaring the kids, that's why no one like you," the pale Hyung said.It was a brief second, but their eyes met and the pale Hyung smiled at him (maybe) before they disappeared inside another room.His cheeks hit up, breath-stopping for a second. "What was that?" He wonders, he touches his chest, unconsciously listening to his heartbeat.
