It wasn't supposed to have happened like this.
He thought he had had everything planned, back up plans stacked upon back up plans. He had hoped to be able to survive and slip away in the shadows after making sure his charge survived, to never be seen or heard from again.
By all of the deities, he was tired.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all to embrace the lurking shadows around the room. He could feel that his death was near, and was almost ready to have his soul be swept away to whatever came next.
But this.
This he hadn't been expecting, and he honestly should have.
Eyes locked with the terror and grief filled glowing green eyes above him, Severus wished his death was one less for Harry to witness. But he had to hurry. He could feel the shadows creeping closer, and just beyond Harry and Hermione's, he could make out a shadowed figure looking down at him. Death must have known there was one last thing he had to do.
“Look...at....me...” Severus rasped, fighting the pain that raked like hell fire through his neck. Seeing the green eyes remaining steady on his, Severus released the iron control on his memories, taking in the faint silver glow that appeared, reflecting off of the familiar glasses. He heard Hermione gasp, then the rapid clink of vials being handed over before being pressed to his face.
Feeling the last of his memories and magic leave him, Severus allowed himself to limp, embracing the shadows that finally flowed over him, guilt a sharp last pain in his gut at the sound of Harry sobbing over him.
It was done.
So why did he suddenly hear a guitar riff surround him?

It wasn't supposed to have happened like this.
Of all of the ways that he had thought he would be facing death, it wasn't like this, and certainly not this soon.
He had been lucky the past few years, with every dangerous situation he ended up in.
But he didn't think there was going to be any coming back from this, this time.
He'd already witnessed the death of the man that he had thought hated him, while he had secretly admired and seen as a surrogate Dad. He had never told him that, but then he had been worried the consequences of that would so much worse.
Now.....…..now he had lost that man, as well as countless others, including the Headmaster a year ago, and however many students were still fighting if they hadn't already been killed.
He had hoped that there would be a way to survive this, but after the memories Severus had given him right before breathing his last, Harry knew he had no choice.
There had never been any choice.
This was always going to be what happened, facing his death before he even reached the age of twenty, never having a family and children. Never dealing with the aches and pains of growing old, meeting possibly new friends, all the weddings and births.
No, he was supposed to die at the hand of this Dark Lord who had failed in killing him when he was just a baby.
Because of some stupid prophecy.
He had many regrets in his life, but most of all he felt grief for the friends he'd made, who he was going to leave behind, who would have to pull themselves through this.
But dammit, he was tired. Deathly adventures every year since he had started school, the constant back and forth of everyone drooling over him for being their savior one moment, then grabbing the torches and declaring he was the next Dark Lord and needed to be killed.
So he really shouldn't be surprised that in the end, the public was going to get what they wanted anyways. Him being killed and no longer a danger to them.
“Any last words Potter?” The question was hissed, and he didn't know what caused him to do it, but Harry looked just past good old Tom to see a shadowy figure standing behind Moldy-shorts, eyes glowing an unearthly shade of yellow swirling with orange. “Well Potter? Or are you so scared that you've been rendered mute?” The question had those yellow eyes just behind and to the left of Moldy-shorts red ones, narrowing.
He didn't know how, but Harry suddenly felt like everything was going to be alright, that the rest of his friends would survive. The knowledge made this choice that much easier. Shifting back to meet the glowing red eyes of the man who had been trying to kill him for years, Harry smirked before hold his hands out and way from his body.
“Good luck Tom, you're going to need it.” Harry said with a cheeky grin.
The flash of green as it hit him was painless, but why did he suddenly hear a guitar?

It wasn't supposed to have happened like this.
He was supposed to have killed the Potter brat then his weak, so called friends, would be too overcome with grief and be easy pickings for his followers. And when they had all arrived in the courtyard of Hogwarts to dump the body of said brat before his friends, his followers were readying themselves to let killing curses and more fly at those still opposing him. He had proven now that he was the most powerful in the world by having managed to get rid of Albus, and now the supposed boy hero.
'Are you sure about that?' Whispered past his ear like a errant breeze, and was determined to ignore the seed of doubt that phrase had planted in his mind. And he had managed to do so. Until the unexpected happened and now he was floundering internally.
Now, he was frozen in shock as he stared at the Longbottom heir, the one who was supposed to be weakest of them all, kill his snake familiar, Nagini, and his last horcrux. A slight movement off to the young heirs left, closer to the castle steps, drew Voldemorts gaze, and he saw a small, silvery blonde haired girl standing tall at the back of the gathered group. His eyes met hers, and he felt a shiver run down his spine at the understanding he saw there, was well as the determination.
Beside her, wrapped in shadows, he saw a cloaked figure, only their oddly yellow glowing eyes visible, place a gloved hand on her shoulder. That was when he saw the raised wand that the young girl held, but faster than he could raise his own to protect himself, or call out to a follower, a familiar green streak was racing towards him, the impact of it hitting him sending him flying back in to those gathered behind him.
In that moment, time seemed to freeze, or at the very least slow down to a crawl. He could feel his body shutting down from the killing curse striking him, and as he was staring towards the sky in shock, he saw the cloaked figure appear to stand over him, with the young girl next to him, both eyes steady and oddly reassuring.
“It's alright Tom, you're going to be just fine now.” The girl said, her voice musical, and remind him a bit of bells.
Just as he felt the shadows finish wrapping tightly around him, he heard the strings of a guitar get plucked, but before he could ask, he was gone.

This.....
…...Was not what any of them were expecting.
Severus, Tom, and Harry stood close together, looking at each other wide eyed and wondering what the hell was going on. They were prepared to admit that they each may have had different ideas on what the afterlife was supposed to look like, but none of them thought it would be.....this.
Whatever the hell this was.
Trying to look around while still keeping a cautious eye on each other, the three men tried to wrap their heads around just what it was they were seeing.
“You don't recognize the Entry Hall of Hogwarts?” A smooth as whiskey voice asked from all around them, followed by a full bellied laugh when the three spun around, instinctively putting their backs to each other, and backing up until their backs were braced against each other. “Oh good, your soul deep instincts are back to normal, that'll help immensely!” The shadows that clung to the corners of the hall swirled for a moment, gathering closer and denser until a couple of people stepped forth from the shadows, the shorter one being led by the one with yellow eyes and still cloaked in clinging shadows.
“Luna!” Harry cried out, stumbling forward, reaching out for her instinctively. When she stepped forward to wrap her own arms around him in a tight hug, he couldn't stop the gasp that escaped him if he wanted to. He felt like a bolt of lightning raced through him, singing along every nerve before centering on his back over his shoulder blades. It lasted barely a moment, but long enough that he struggled not to drop to his knees from the pain.
“Well well, I thought that might be the case. I'm glad I was right, that will make things so much easier.” The cloaked figured mused out loud before gesturing towards the doors that would normally lead to the Great Hall of Hogwarts. Not seeing what else they could do until they had some answers, Harry and Luna followed, their arms still wrapped around each other, with Tom and Sev close behind them. They had barely made it a few feet into the Great Hall when Tom, Harry, and Sev's jaws dropped and their eyes bulged.
This room looked nothing like what they were used to. There was color EVERYWHERE. And music. Groups of people were gathered here and there throughout the room, chatting happily, relaxing against tables placed around the room as well. The center was cleared, and there were many who were dancing away, having a good time. Easing along the wall, the cloaked figure nodded to those who greeted him, shaking the hands of some, returning exuberant hugs when given. When he reached the single chair at the front of the hall, Tom, Sev, and Harry realized they hadn't moved from the doors, Luna staying with them. A quick clap of the persons hands, and the music stopped, drawing everyones attention to the front of the hall.
It wasn't until they saw him gesture towards them, that they moved forward carefully, confusion and caution warring within themselves. They were a respectable distance from the steps leading up to the stairs when they stopped, fidgeting nervously.
Relaxing back into the chair, the person pulled off his gloves, then snapped his fingers and his cloak disappeared, leaving him in a tight fitting t-shirt, and loose grey sweatpants with bare feet. His apparently long, dark hair was up in a mess bun, and he slumped further down into his chair.
“Thank be to the other gods that's over.” He said, causing a slight rustling to sound through the hall as the rest of the occupants shifted. Another snap off his fingers had chairs appearing behind the four standing before him, and they were careful to sit, but sit they did, watching the man closely.
“Um....excuse me sir....but what exactly is going on?” Harry asked quietly, making sure to keep a polite tone in his voice.
“First, let me introduce myself. I am the God of Death. I have many names, but Death is what it boils down to. What's going on, is I'm trying to fix a bit of a royal fuck up that never should have happened in the first place, but it did, so now I'm claiming you three boys as my own in hopes to keep this from happening again.” Death said with a shrug.
“I'm....afraid I don't quite understand.” Severus said carefully.
“Severus Tobias Snape. 38 years old technically. One of the top ten potion masters on Earth, mate to one Tom Marvolo Riddle; Lord Prince, heart brother to one Lily Potter 'nee Evans. Mother was Eileen Snape nee Prince, and you were named after your sperm donor. Don't worry, considering he put you through the same shit that Harry went through in his childhood, I don't consider him Father material. Graduated top of your class at Hogwarts, were recruited by Tom Riddle as a Deatheater spy, then forced to spy for both sides in an attempt to protect those you cared about. You've been forced to do things that you never would have if truly been given the choice. You love animals, actually love teaching and children, hated having to treat Harry so vilely, has a beautiful singing voice if I do say so myself, scary intelligent, can dance like a wet dream, cooking abilities can make angels sing, and absolutely so terrifyingly good at dueling that it shouldn't be as hot as it is, but you put that same energy into the bedroom. Oh and secretly also a parselmouth.” Death rattled off in one breath, staring at the rapidly flushing face of Severus with bland eyes.
Hearing spluttering, Death shifted his gaze to Tom, a slight frown creasing his cheeks.
“Tom Marvolo Riddle. Self-appointed name of Lord Voldemort. You were also top of your class, specialty was defense, also loved to teach and guide children. Mother was Merope Gaunt who love potioned your father, who in turn left once she thought he would love her even without it because she was pregnant with you, but he didn't. None of that was your fault and you were put in a horrendous situation for it. You can take or leave animals, but you're not against having them either. You can't dance worth a damn, but your voice can make angels weep in joy. You survived the London Blitz, had to defend yourself against those who tried to drive your magic from you, and went through your own from of abuse. You, like Severus and Harry, begged Albus Dumbledore to stay at the Hogwarts during holidays and the summer so you wouldn't have to go back to the abusive, dangerous environment you were growing up in. You are a parselmouth, used that gift to create multiple horcruxes to keep yourself from falling into my hands. You are mate to Severus Tobias Snape, and had you died when you were originally supposed to, you would have been reborn to meet Lily and Severus at the same time and attend school with them, allowing the bond between yourself and Severus to grow. You are also Lord Slytherin, and due to the situation that happened between yourself and Harry, magic has recognized him as your heir. Now, due to...manipulations that happened to you from the first time you met Albus, your pieces of souls were technically destroyed by Harry, but I stepped in and gathered the pieces when the containers were destroyed and you now have a full soul once more.”
Leaving Severus and Tom to stare at him with wide eyes, unconsciously gripping each others hands, Death turned to look at Harry who was watching him warily, but already holding Luna's hand in his lap while absently stroking her fingers.
“Harrison 'Harry' James Potter. You have been treated abhorrently throughout your whole life. You were abused, neglected, starved, beaten, and then thrown to the public wolves when you returned to the magical world after being left completely in the dark about it. The fickle public was just as quick to turn on you as they were to raise you up as their savior, you lost the connection with your familiar when she sacrificed herself for you. If you had not done what you did in the Forbidden Forest, you would've continued to be manipulated by those who wanted to get their hands on your fortune and further enslave you in a manner similar to when you were growing up. You are Lord Potter, also Lord Gryffindor, but which remained unclaimed because you were not informed of your inheritance. You are also Heir Slytherin. You are also technically the “Master of Death” from collecting my three relics, but you really actually aren't, you're just able to call on me and others, in ways that others cannot, without having to worry about dying. You are also mate to my daughter through blessing, Luna Lovegood. She, like you, Tom, and Severus, have suffered much abuse in her life due to her unique abilities that no one else understands, and refuses to understand.” Death finished, reaching out for the glass of water that appeared and taking a sip.
By now, all three men were looking rather pale, and watching him in shock. Gesturing to those around the hall, a handful of them came forward to stand to either side of them, standing firm even when Harry cried out in surprise, and Luna quickly shifted to his lap to keep him seated. To Deaths' right, James, Lily, Sirius, and Remy stood with proud looks on their faces. To his left, Cedric, Collin, Fred, and Tonks stood just as proudly.
“W-why did you bring us here? I still don't understand what's happening.” Tom murmured, feeling a rush of emotions that he was having trouble sorting through.
“I brought you here, because I realized that I need some enforcers.” Death started carefully, obviously choosing his words with care.
“Enforcers?” Harry and Sev parroted.
“To put it simply. As I'm sure you are aware, there is a balance to everything. Male-female, night-day, ying-yang, life-death. Being of Death, I am already crazy busy, all of the time, with souls that have reached their time to cross over, at the right time. I never actually get a break or vacation. However, every once in a while, far more often that I'd like to think about, some idiot gets a bit too big for their britches, and tries to control when they'll cross over, if ever, and when others will. When that happens, and it gets out of control, I get buried under an avalanche of souls who have died LONG before they were supposed to. And because of that, it creates an imbalance, and they can't move on to the next dimension or planet, or whatever you want to call it, or be reborn if they choose that. They then get stuck here,” Death paused to gesture to the building around them. “Until the balance is corrected. The further problem is, as I'm sure you're aware of the three Fates, even life and Death has rules. Unless it becomes a severely imbalanced situation, those of us higher ups can not interfere. But those situations do happen, and the rules can be bent slightly.”
“And....this is one of those situations?” Harry asked.
“Yes. Now, normally I would correct everything myself, but doing that takes a great deal of time, time I don't have when I'm trying to keep up with the souls who are dying when they're supposed to. But this particular situation has provided an opportunity that is rather unique.” Death asnwered.
“And that would be?” Severus asked.
“Before me, I have three men of varying ages, who are all tied together due to a particular prophecy that is real, not that tub of Thestral shit that Albus had sprouted from Trelawney, and you'll have to discover that prophecy on your own, I don't actually know what it says, only that it exists. But all three of you have been manipulated by a man who got power drunk, and now has done something that makes even me sick to my stomach.”
Seeing the curious looks, Death continued. “The reason Tom found out about the horcruxes, is that Albus manipulated him to find out about them, leaving the books in places hidden to all but him. The reason he did that is he wanted to see what the reactions, consequences were of creating multiple horcruxes before he started doing it for himself. I thought your seven was nauseating, but the number Albus has reached? Even the Fates agreed to the offer I'll be making to the four of you.”
A bucket for each of them was quick to appear as they looked increasingly ill, and they hadn't even heard the full number yet. Feeling his stomach churn in warning, Tom snatched his bucket up and wrapped himself around it. Now that his own soul was back in one piece, he knew he would be remembering everything he had done to reach the seven he had made. He had a feeling the only reason he hadn't dissolved into a mix of panic and hyperventilating anxiety, was because Death was holding that off. Swallowing hard against the bile burning at the back of his throat, Tom forced himself to ask.
“H-How many did he make?” His voice was croaky, and for once he didn't care that he didn't sound confident. Grimacing, Death took a moment to answer, knowing that it would be hard to believe. Hell, he was the God of Death, transporter of souls from life to the next, and what was done should have been impossible!
“Thirteen. He made thirteen of those abominations, and somehow managed to attach one of the pieces of his soul to Fawkes. Who is meant to be your familiar Severus.”
Harry and Luna were quick to reach over and brace Severus as he swayed alarmingly in his chair, his own usual pale skin turning as grey as marble. A moment passed in silence, Severus gasping in shock, before he grabbed his own bucket and buried his face in it, his retching echoed by Tom next to him. Leaving them to their devices, Death once more focused his attention on Harry and Luna.
“So...you want us to go back, don't you? The three of us. You want us to go back to find those horcruxes and destroy them.” Harry sighed, drooping, feeling exhausted with everything.
“Yes, but with some changes.” Death nodded, appreciating how quick Harry was.
“Like what?”
“Well, all four of you will be sent back in time, to the summer before second year. You won't have to worry about searching for Tom's horcruxes, and yes that includes the one that was in your scar, because I've already collected them all and repaired his soul. If he wasn't repaired, he'd be looking might odd at the moment. You'll have some physical changes that you'll discover as you go through life again, you won't be able to be killed because you'll be having my blessings. The only way you'll die is of 'old, natural age', essentially in your sleep. While you're going through life again, you'll help those in need, help detour any other potential Dark Magicals like Albus. You can still get hurt, you'll have increased healing, but it'll still hurt like hell if you do get hurt, but you'll still be able to fight if needed. You could fall down all of the stairs from the top of Hogwarts to the dungeons in one fell swoop, break all your bones, and you still won't die. You'll be in a shit ton of pain, so please don't do that, but you won't die.”
“I feel like there's a catch in there somewhere.” Severus commented, his voice muffled from where the bucket as he laid his head on the edge of the top of it.
“Depends on your definition of catch.” Death paused. “You four will be able to have families, and fight against those who would kill magicals just because they can and send them to me before it's their time. I'm not expecting you to save all of the potential victims, I know that's not fair to you, and nearly impossible. However, if a serial killer shows up and starts killing just for the fun for it, as soon as you find out about it, I expect you to take care of him, catch him, throw him in jail, kill him, bind him to a slave oath for all I care. Just stop them from killing for the hell of it. There's enough accidents, catastrophes, and natural occurrences that happen in the world on a daily basis, I do not need the additional assistance.” Death huffed, pouting slightly and drawing a chuckle from those still gathered around him. “Additionally, this is not a single lifetime job. When you're done with reliving this life, and have returned to me, you'll be able to spend time with loved ones until the next egotistical maniac pops up, then you'll be sent back to the living world in one way or another to deal with them and any others that give it a try in that life. Think of seeing your loved ones as a kind of vacation. When that happens, you'll still have your memories and find your way back to each other. You'll all be connected for the rest of time.”
“Anything else?” Tom groaned, not realizing that he was mirroring Sev over his own bucket.
“Yes, a few things. One, Tom, claim your Lordship, the same goes for you and Harry as well, Severus. Collect Harry from the Dursleys as soon as you're back, and go to Gringotts. Get yourselves checked, and any potions or spells that old fool has you under, get them cleared. Tom, you'll want to call your followers and return them to the status you had been trying for originally. Claim your right over your part of the ownership of Hogwarts. Attend Diagon Alley with Luna and Harry, stop Gilderoy Lockhart from becoming the Defence teacher and take his place. Be yourselves, all of you. Get Siri out of Azkaban. They will both remember everything from their own lives, and this meeting, so they'll be able to help where needed. You'll have to collect Peter as quickly as you can and get Siri out of prison. Sow some chaos. The six of you will retain your memories, but only you four will have the additional bits. Get Siri and Remy checked at Gringotts as well, because before your fifth year, you had all been close friends, so obviously something changed. Severus, because you will no longer be having to worry about being called at any time to be questioned and tortured, you won't have to spy on Tom anymore, get that bloody stick out of your ass and finally be yourself, you know what I mean. That goes for all of you actually. You're all natural fun loving pranksters. Create chaos, improve Hogwarts, tear down the barriers that have been erected between the houses because of that old fool.”
“Oh, well, no pressure than.” Severus snarked with a slight glares.
“If you truly feel like you can't do this, that is fine. You do have a choice in the matter. Each of ygou have been through such hell, that I'm not going to push this on you if you don't want it. I offered it to you because I know you can handle it. If you each decide to move on, then the timeline you just left will continue on and what happens, happens, because I don't know what that will be. The only drawback if you decide that, is you'll be stuck here, in this version of Hogwarts. I created this place for those souls who died long before they were supposed to, or who for other reasons would be stuck here because they're a bit of an anomaly.” Death responded with a shrug.
“So in other words, if we say no to going back and being your, what did you call them? Enforcers? Then we'll be stuck here? All of us?” Harry asked, waving a hand to the others in the hall.
“That's right, until the balance is obtained once more.”
Harry nodded absently, staring off into space for a few moments as he went over the information he was giving. He didn't see James lean down and whisper to Death who responded with a smile and nod.
“Thirteen horcruxes.” Tom whispered, drawing the attention of the others. “Thirteen, one of which is attached to a phoenix who can survive for thousands of years at minimum. And he is such a beacon of light to all, that no one would even consider he would do such a thing, let alone where to even look for them to destroy them.”
“And it was completely by accident I destroyed the first couple. The others took nearly a year of constant, on the move searching.” Harry muttered, remembering that year with a wince. Glancing to the side to look at Luna, all he received was a small smile and slight shrug in response. Turning to look at the others, he recognized the look on their faces as one that he had seen reflected in the mirror multiple times.
Resigned determination. They had obviously chosen, and Harry knew he had as well.
“Is there anything else we need to know?” Severus asked, voice still a bit rough, but he was sitting up again, and meeting Deaths gaze head on.
“Yes, first, Severus, as soon as all of you return, and you get to Gringotts, blood adopt Harry so that he can not be manipulated to return to the Dursleys.” Death was quick to raise a hand when Sev's jaw dropped in shock. “Further more, when you return, the four of you will find yourselves marked with a particular tattoo. It will not cause you pain, you'll be able to reach each other through it in times of need, and it'll completely erase your dark mark. Because you will be technically employed by me, there will be a vault assigned to you, separate from your family vaults for you to use if you end up in a life without family vaults, or need the money for something questionable. Also, you three gentlemen will be able to see and sense me at times, more when I choose to let you, while Luna, having been blessed by me, will always be able to see and reach me if anything is needed.”
“Wait, I thought you blessed, the Peverells too, what the hell? Why won't I be able to see you except for when you choose?” Harry demanded.
“Ah that was a bit of a mix up, and that story was told in such a way to save face.” Death answered sheepishly, reaching up to run a hand over his head.
“What could have possibly happened to need to save face?” Severus asked indignantly.
When he refused to answer, they continued to stare at him, waiting, but it wasn't until Luna gave her patented big blue eyes that Death felt himself give in with a pout.
“I did an exchange with them because I was hungry, and thirsty, and was not able to cook for myself at the time, or get water from that bloody river.” Death explained with a huff, crossing his arms and slumping back in his seat.
The group of four continued to stare at him.
“I was drunk on star infused water and high on cosmic dust, alright? At the same time! Not a combination I would suggest unless you make no plans for the following week.” Death finally snapped, glaring at the floor in front of his chair.
When the silence continued on, he glanced up to see amusement filled faces and hunched his shoulders.
"Besides, I blessed the Lovegood family long before the Peverells. I was lonely dammit, and wanted someone alive to talk with for more than five minutes before they rejoined their family where they no longer really need me." Death finished.
Clearing his throat carefully, Harry decided to let that explanation go. For now at least.
“Alright, so what do we do now? How do we get back?”
The sudden, completely evil, manic grin that crossed Deaths face had Harry, Sev, and Tom sitting as far back in their seats as they could, while Luna merely leaned back against Harry's chest. A moment later music started blaring from around the hall, and Death jumped to his feet to move towards them, the others following close behind with equally amused faces. It didn't take long for the three gentlemen to realize they were completely surrounded, even by the other people who had been spending time in the hall while they talked.
The song that Death started belting out, with dance moves included had Harry blinking in surprise before a burst of laughter escaped him, and he started tapping his foot.

It's astounding
Time is fleeting
Madness takes its toll
But listen closely
Not for very much longer
I've got to keep control

Harry had to admit that he was rather impressed with how smoothly Death and his close family and friends had fallen into having some goofy fun with the song after the serious conversation they had been having. He grinned when Death leaned heavily on the arm of Tom's chair and mimicked chugging a drink, before leaning over to plant a kiss on his forehead, making Tom jerk in surprise and grip Sev's hand once more.
I remember doing the Time Warp
Drinking those moments when
The blackness would hit me
And the void would be calling
Severus himself was having trouble not to start laughing hysterically. He remembered when the movie this song was from had become popular and hearing it damn near everywhere in the muggle world. He could even hear the irony of the lyrics considering what was going to be having.
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Looking over at Tom, and seeing him look beyond baffled, and a touch terrified at the suddenly dancing people surrounding them, Sev was quick to shift his hand and lace his fingers with Toms. He could see now that the reason he had felt so drawn to Tom years ago was the mate bond trying to form, but Tom's mental, emotional, and magical stability, or lack there-of didn't give the bond enough of a stepping stone to help Tom find his way back to who he really was. He was looking forward to really getting to know this Tom now.
It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
Put your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
Tom wasn't sure how to process what he was seeing. He could understand why people would enjoy the song it was rather silly, and had a nice beat to it, but he had never been asked to dance before, and the few times he had tried to do it on his own, he always face-planted. It had happened enough times to cause sever embarrassment, so eventually he had stopped. The feeling of something shifting in his hand had Tom realizing that he had been holding onto Sev. He started to relax his hand, cheeks flushing in embarrassment, when Sev turned his hand and laced his fingers through Toms. Blinking a bit in surprise, he lifted his eyes to find warm, dark eyes watching him, and Tom knew he was screwed.
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Hearing a quiet giggle, Harry turned his head to look at Luna, wondering what had gotten such a cute sound out of her, when the feeling of her lips pressing against his had his brain short circuiting. A moment passed as Harry mentally flailed, trying to figure out what to do, when his instincts kicked in, and he lifted a hand to cup the side of her head and deepen the kiss.
It's so dreamy
Oh, fantasy free me
So you can't see me
No, not at all
Seeing the bonds beginning to lock into place, Death smiled softly, even while he continued singing and dancing, using his own magic to lightly plants the seeds of how to create the needed chaos to roust Albus from being the Headmaster, unite the school, and all while having fun, something the four needed after the rough life they had already lived through.
In another dimension
With voyeuristic intention
Well-secluded
I see all
When Harry and Luna drew back from each other, blushing brightly at each other, they felt a hand brush through their hair. Looking up they found Lily and James standing beside them, Remus and Sirius standing to either side. When Harry shifted to jump to his feet, Lily raised a hand and shook her head, a sad look on her face. He opened his mouth to demand what was going on, when she patted his hand, before handing him a creamy envelope, and James handed one to Luna as well. Smiling brightly, Luna bowed slightly in thanks to them before James and Lily disappeared from one moment to the next, leaving Sirius and Remus with them.
With a bit of a mind flip
You're into the time slip
And nothing can ever be the same
You're spaced out on sensation
Like you're under sedation
Looking back to Luna to try and get some answers, Harry stopped at the look on her face. A hint of sadness was there, but so was joy, even when a tear escaped to trail down her cheek. When she saw his confused look, she shifted the envelope just enough so he could see the writing on the front. 'To: Luna From: Mother'. Seeing those words made the breathe hitch in Harry's throat before he wrapped his arms around her to hold her closer, ignoring the tears that soaked into the shoulder of his shirt.
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Hearing some muffled choking, Luna lifted her head, turning at the same time so she and Harry could see what was happening. It wasn't until he made out the words, and saw the moves being included that he started laughing hysterically.
Well, I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise
He had a pickup truck and the devil's eyes
He stared at me and I felt a change
Time meant nothing, never would again
Death was standing in front of Tom, having long since helped dispose of the used buckets, and was now dancing rather provocatively for Tom, causing him to flush such a deep red that Harry worried for a moment that he would explode from the heat alone.
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Death stepping back to spin around and follow the directed movements with his ass sticking out further than it should was the final straw for Sev. Not even a second later, Sev was tipping dangerously to one side, laughing hard enough for him to need to wrap an arm around his torso, and tears leaking from his eyes. The glare threatening much pain later was lost on Sev as he merely laughed harder.
It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
Put your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
Huffing out a silent, slightly annoyed breathe, Tom turned away from Sev, purposely swinging his gaze over the rest of the hall, but there was no luck. Everyone in the room was dancing to the song, and with a low groan, Tom dropped his face into his hand.
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane

Peeking through the fingers of his hand, Tom tried to gauge when the song would be done when he caught site of Siri and Remy purposely over-exaggerating the latest steps which shaking their hips.
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again
Laughter finally broke free of him, Tom dropping his face into both of this hands this time while he shook with laughter over everything that was happening. He was laughing too hard to notice the shadows that wrapped around those who were returning with their memories intact, nor did he notice when the same shadows eased them all into a deep and comforting sleep while taking them from one world back to the living one.
