“A rave!? Chloe would never allow that.” Stacie said, “hell Aubrey only loosened the leash she keeps me on a few weeks ago. We’ve been dating for two years.” Stacie said, “well she’s not the boss of me so I’ll do what the hell I want.” Beca scoffed. “Beca, why are you so hellbent on breaking the rules, what are you trying to prove?” Stacie asked, “you know what, I don’t have to explain myself to you. If I wanna go out and have fun, I’m gonna go out and have fun.” Beca said, before storming out of their shared dorm.Later that night Beca was at the rave she had originally planned on going to and couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad would happen. And almost as if predicted, the police showed up. People scattered to get away and chaos ensued.“Jail, Beca? Jail!?” Chloe was outraged, “it’s not that big of a deal. I was arrested but they let me go before we even got to the station.” Beca defended. “Oh so that makes it ok then? What if you had gotten hurt or worse. Why are you so reckless?” Chloe asked. She wanted what was best for Beca, they had been dating since Beca was a sophomore at Barden, and back then Beca was just as reckless if not more. Always on the run and caught up in trouble. But as of the last few months Chloe made sure that Beca stayed far away from that kind of life, helping Beca focus on her music and the Bellas’, even going as far as getting Beca a job.“Because, every time I wanna do something, you always tell me if I can or can’t. What kind of relationship is that? I’m 22, I should be able to make my own decisions, and if they lead me into jail, or I make a mistake. So what, I’m learning.” Beca said, she loved Chloe, more than words could ever describe, but she was fed up with being treated like a child in her own relationship.Chloe sighed, she knew deep down that Beca was right. “I know Beca, and I’m sorry, I shouldn’t treat you like this. I just want you to be safe, and make good decisions, cause all it takes is one slip up for your whole future to be thrown away, and that’s the last thing I want for you.” Chloe said, “I know Chlo, and I’m glad you’re in my corner, cheering me own.” Beca took Chloe by the hands, pulled her close, and kissed her.
