"Weeeeeeee!"
"I hate all of you equally"
"Can I have some money?"
"And that's why I deserve a nuclear bomb!"
"Aaaaaaahhhhhh"
"I am drunk as shit right now"
"COULD EVERYONE PLEASE CALM DOWN AND TAKE THEIR SEATS!"
"Ooh! Free chairs for the taking!"
"THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!"Mexico groaned as his head hit the table. Here he was, at the UN building in Pangaea, next to New York City, more than 4000 kilometers from home, listening to several centuries old nations fight with plastic forks and scream like five year olds. He cringed when he heard yet another shriek. He hated these meetings."¡Cuidado!" He heard someone scream. He ducked just in time to see a certain Brit go flying through the air."Argentina!" Chile screamed.
"Qué?" He yelled back before being tackled by the rather angry brit.Mexico cautiously climbed back into his seat. Just another meeting. He scanned the room, looking for UN. He found him in a corner, being threatened by a butter knife wielding India. Or was that Ireland? Maybe even Cote D'Ivoire."YE WANNA TRA MEH BOY? WANNA TREY MEH?" He heard the man yell. Definitely Ireland. Of course it had to be, Mexico thought, India had left half an hour ago at the beginning of the chaos to meditate and Cote d'Ivoire was 'sick'. Smart.Mexico sighed and checked his watch and groaned. Two more hours until lunch. Two more hours until he could take a break from the insanity. He watched as yet another small nation was drop kicked across the room. Two hours was too far away.As headache inducing these meetings were, he did have to admit that there were funny moments. Like how Vatican was just put into a time out corner. Or when South Korea tried to stand up on the table to sing Barbie Girl, but fell on Afghanistan and got stabbed. Why did Mexico hate these meetings anyways?"Aaaaaahhhhhh!" He heard a voice scream before a body slammed into him, knocking him out of his chair. A yellow head popped up and looked at him."Lo siento amigo!" Columbia panted as he rolled off of Mexico. Mexico coughed and by the time he looked back up his best friend was no where to be found. He sighed as he was reminded why he hated these meetings."What is going on here?" Mexico whipped around when he heard a familiar maternal voice. Everyone in the room froze in their places. There at the entrance was a beautiful woman in a flowing white dress. Her rainbow coloured wings were curled around her and her nearly pure white horns glistened. Her eyes held no pupils or irises, just a reflection of the galaxy."H-Hi Mam," UN stuttered as he inched out of the corner. The woman eyes snapped towards him. UN shook as he tried to make himself look decent. The woman's eyes turned back to the scene before her. Ireland tightly gripping his plastic butter knife. USA's fist in mid punch, about to hit Cuba. Palau under the table, her rocking frozen."I heard much yelling and I was concerned for my children," the woman said finally in a smooth, even tone, barely above whisper, "but now I see you are in no danger, by outside forces at least." A few countries gave nervous chuckles."Do not make me put you back in your homes," she warned, making many in the room give nervous gulps, remembering the horror of being forced into the same house with everyone on their continent. The woman turned away."You may resume your supposed meeting in 15 long clicks, if I find you misbehaving again there will be punishment," she sang, walking out of the room. As soon as she was gone the occupants of the room let out sighs of relief."Snack time!" USA shouted, running for the open door. Many other nations rushed to organize their belongings
and get out of the stuffy meeting room. They only had 30 minutes after all.Mexico was much slower to gather his things. What was the point of fighting with the others to get to the cafeteria or the park outside. Besides, he was still trying to pick his poison. As he put his last paper in his folder his stomach growled. He sighed, cafeteria it is then.Being in the same place as more than two other nations was... chaotic, to say the least. Being in the same place as
all
the other nations was equivalent to torture. So much so that Pangaea and their own governments had to force them into going to these meetings. Guilt tripping them with saying they built this part of the building for them and enticing them with rewards for behaving. It never seemed to be enough though, their purpose in life was to make everyone else's harder. And were they good at it!Mexico had to quickly duck to avoid being hit by a bowl of ramen as he entered the large cafeteria or dining hall as some called it. ASEAN gave a yelp as the food hit him instead. He then ran over to the Asian table to yell at who ever threw it (North Korea). It was funny how the nations hated interacting with those from their continents but always chose to sit next to said nations at meal times.Mexico plopped down in between Ecuador and Columbia. He had to dodge yet another thing. He glanced behind him when he heard the distinct crash of a teacup. He heard a mixture of angry english and spanish from the direction the tea came from.Mexico looked down and sighed. He realized he didn't have anything to eat. Well... He looked up at the food counter. Today the food selection was from Eastern Europe. Pass.Mexico looked back down at the table. He really wanted
Pozole right now. He groaned when he remembered he had to go and get groceries. Columbia looked over at him."Hey, I knew you probably forgot to pack food so I brought some of those Tamales you like," he said holding out an object covered in tin foil. Mexico looked at it aprehensively."That's not how you wrap it. You got that from a fake gringo place didn't you," Mexico said, taking the food anyway."Yeah," Columbia admitted sheepishly, "but the guy said he was from Baja California so I thought it might be authentic." Mexico shrugged and began to eat. His tamales were the best, USA and everyone else could cry about it all they wanted.USA approached their table. Speak of the devil and he shall appear."Como estás México?" He greeted with a thick accent."mal, porque tu estás aqui," Mexico fired back. It took a moment for his quick words to be processed by the american.USA gave a cocky grin, "don't be like that, you know it hurts my feelings"Mexico scoffed, "like I give una mierda about your feelings!" USA frowned and then quickly grinned. He leaned down to whisper in Mexico's ear, "are you completely sure about that?" Mexico gave a nervous laugh."I am completely sure you are una puta!" He insulted.USA leaned back with a frown, "you will regret that." He tsked and then walked off. Well, less of a walk and more of a military step, hands behind his back, barely bending his knees. USA could be a bit strange at times.Mexico turned to a shocked Columbia. He gave his best friend a questioning look. Columbia slowly began to smile, then giggle, than out right laugh hysterically."T-tu called him un-una puta!" He wheezed. Mexico grinned."Hell yeah I did!" He cheered. The two continued to laugh throughout the rest of lunch and the meeting.
Meanwhile"I'm gonna break in!" a man in a hoody said, putting down a pair of binoculars."That is the stupidest thing you've said in the past week, and you have said a lot of stupid things," a second man replied, flipping the page of his newspaper."I'm gonna break in," the first man whispered to himself. The second man slammed his newspaper down on the table next to him."Did you not hear me!" He seethed at the younger male. The younger one looked back at him with a grin."I did, I simply don't care!" He gave a strangely childish giggle. The older man huffed and grabbed his newspaper."Don't blame me if you get shot again!" He grumbled, leaning back in his chair. The younger man had run off before he could finish his sentence."I'm gonna go to a meeting! I'm gonna go to a meeting!" He sang as he skipped across the neighbor's yard and up their front steps."Fascist! Fashy! Fash!" He shrieked, smacking the door repeatedly with his palms, "Open the door! OPEN THE DOOR!"A crash could be heard from inside, quickly followed by a yelp of pain. The doorknob jiggled and then swung open to reveal a man in his pajamas."What?" He snapped tiredly, rubbing his eyes."Get dressed! We're going to the meeting!" The man shouted, pushing his neighbor back into his own house. The man quickly became alert."What? No we're not!" He shouted."Come on!" The younger man whined, "I wanna fuck shit up!" The other man sighed."Your language skills have gone downhill in the past few decades," he grumbled, letting the slightly unstable man guide him to his own bedroom. The younger man whipped around to face him, dropping a shirt. "Do you mean when those bastards ripped me from my nation and split my brother and now won't let me DO A DAMN THING!" He shrieked at the other, gripping his shirt and shaking him.The older man sighed, clearly used to his antics. He gently pried his hands from his shirt and guided him to a chair."Yes, yes, those bastard allies," he sighed, clearly exhausted by the other man, despite only being in his presence for a few minutes. He picked out clothes from his closet and set them neatly on the bed while his companion was having a mental breakdown. The younger man was rocking in his chair, tightly gripping the sides and muttering under his breath. A few words could be distinguished from the gibberish, allies, Germany, fickers. The older finally turned to acknowledge his freaking out friend. "Why don't you go steal German Empires hearing aids again? That should be enough entertainment to last you until tomorrow."The younger man stopped his rocking and muttering and stared at the other. He appeared to contemplate it for a moment before beginning to pout. He heaved a deep sigh."Fine," he whined, "I'll go bug Vater." He slowly and sadly shuffled out of the room and house. As soon as he got to the yard he perked up and sprinted across the yard and raced into his home. His neighbor watched all this and shook his head.Nations, current or 'retired', were always a handful to deal with.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"I hate babysitting duty.I hate babysitting duty.I hate babysitting duty," Germany muttered under his breath as he rushed around, dodging flying objects."I CAN'T SEE!" Austria-Hungary wailed."YOU'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SEE!" Russian Empire yelled at her.Germany sighed as he leaned against a wall he had deemed safe. These nations may have been well over a hundred years old, but they sure as hell didn't act like it."THIRD REICH!" Soviet roared as he chased Germany's brother around the room."FUCK YOUR JEWISH SCIENCE! MINE IS BEST!" He screamed back as he ran by the trash can and dropped something inside. Germany wanted to claw his own eyes out in frustration. Why did he always get stuck with babysitting?"I'll take care of mom, you take care of Soviet and Third?" an equally exhausted Austria asked. Germany grumbled curses under his breath but went to deal with the duo anyway."THIRD!" Germany screamed as he catapulted himself onto the crazed man. They rolled around on the floor with Third shrieking like a banshee."Where the fuck did you put my rocket?" An angry Soviet leaned over the two.Third sat up and stared at Soviet grinning, "where it belongs!" Soviet made a move to strangle Third."HEY!" Germany butted in, "Soviet, calm down. Third, give her back her rocket." Third's smile turned into a frown and he crossed his arms."NO!" He pouted, turning away from Germany, "You can't make me!"Germany pinched the bridge of his nose, "I will make you sleep in the snow again!" Third gave a dramatic gasp."You wouldn't," he whispered."I would," Germany threatened. Third gave a dramatic groan and flopped onto his back. He then proceeded to do the most awkward and uncomfortable scoot towards the trash can."Third," Germany sighed. Third sat up and gave him a withering glare, well, what would have been considered withering had he not been pouting like a child a few minutes ago and making a fool of himself on the floor.Nonetheless, Soviets slightly wrecked rocket was returned to her and Third was put on the other side of the room with toy soldiers. All was well again."IF YOU'RE A WOMAN SHOW ME YOUR TITS!" CSA screamed. All was not well."I WILL NOT BE DEFILED BY YOU!" Austria-Hungary screamed back. Confederacy growled and lunged at her."Du schlampe," German Empire whispered, holding CSA by the throat. CSA growled and spat at him while Austria-Hungary cheered on her husband."Oh, he's going to die," Ottoman whispered with a smile. There were certain unspoken rules in the retired nation community. Such as don't take away Third's toy soldiers or Soviet's rockets, keep your right front window locked (don't ask), and above all, don't say, imply, or even think that Austria-Hungary is anything other than a woman. As you can see, CSA has made a critical error.GE slammed CSA against the wall, holding him by his neck. "I will cut out your tongue, cut off your dick and SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT!" He screamed, slamming CSA's head against the wall repeatedly. CSA made chocking gurgling noises and several cracks were heard."EH SO'EY! EH SO'EY!" he cried. GE dropped him to the ground and kicked his crotch for good measure. While he was curled up in ball, groaning in pain, Austria-Hungary decided it would be the perfect moment to jump on his head."OW!" He screamed. Austria-Hungary dug her heel into his neck and then took her husband's arm and walked off with him. CSA remained on the ground sobbing.Russian Empire finally looked up from his game of chess with Qing Dynasty. "Shut up, it will heal!" He yelled. CSA hiccuped and cried louder. Imperial Japan did the logical thing and threw a knife at him with impeccable accuracy. He screamed again and tried to crawl out of the room."Crybaby," Fascist Italy muttered under his breath. Imperial Japan stabbed him and he whimpered. "Like you're one to talk." Fascist quickly changed seats after that. Finally Finland, one of the other nations responsible for watching over these psychos, had pity and carried CSA out of the room. A few countries boo'ed him and complained about them taking away all the entertainment. God these people were assholes.
Later
"And, that's the last one!" Germany said relived as he waved goodbye to Imperial and her son. He looked to his right to see Sweden helping Kalmar Union into his car. He looked to his left and saw Third chewing on a toy soldier and sighed. Sometimes he really wondered about his brother."Come on Third," he sighed, opening the passenger door. Third immediately jumped in and buckled quickly on his own. At least this part of the day was going smoothly. That's the only good thing Germany could really say about today.Germany tiredly got in his car and started it. These meetings were far stupider than the standard meetings he had to go to. For one, they had a basic goal instead of a free for all. The only reason that these meetings existed was because the old nations were salty about being retired and not able to continue their nation duties. The reason they had babysitters? Because obviously if you leave them alone with each other for more than two minutes they will burn down the building, commit a genocide, and steal your wife, all in that short amount of time. They say you become wiser with age, but if you asked Germany he'd say you only get stupider and more psychotic.Take for instance the moron sitting next to him, Third Reich. The terrifying former nation who was now drooling and chewing on his seatbelt. Everyday Germany had to deal with him trying to light something on fire, eat things not meant to be eaten, and trying to convince Germany and anyone else nearby that they should set Israel loose in the woods and hunt him like a rabbit. Every. Damn. Day. Germany wasn't sure how much longer he could take the crazy.Germany layed his head on the steering wheel once he pulled into the driveway. He needed a moment to prepare himself to deal with his family. They weren't exactly the easiest people to deal with. He finally picked his head up and got out of the car. At least Austria and Switzerland live with him.He carefully helped the drooling Third out of the car. He was long gone at this point. At least feeding him and putting him to bed would be relatively easy tonight. He cautiously opened the door. The lights were on and he could hear voices coming from the kitchen. Good, no fights. He readjusted his hold on Third and carried him inside. His family was all seated around the table, idly chatting. Even HRE and Teutonic were there."Hello Germany, Third," Switzerland greeted, helping Germany to seat Third, "Teutonic found some deer and fish and we cooked it up." That explained the calm environment. If there was one thing that the German family could bond over, it was their love of freshly captured meat."What did you do while we were gone?" Germany asked Switzerland, Prussia, and HRE."We read," HRE said shakily."Did you take your medicine today?" Germany asked concerned."Yes, I made sure he did," Switzerland answered handing Germany a plate full of food."Good," Germany replied taking a bite of the delicious deer. The family continued to eat their dinner in peaceful silence."Third, why haven't you touched your food," Germany asked gently. Food was always a difficult subject with his little brother."Nein," he said, pushing the plate away and shaking his head."Third you need to eat," Germany encouraged gently. He shook his head."I eat later," he said."Third, that's what you said this morning, eat," Austria sighed.Third shook his head again. " Poison.""Its not poison Third, I made it, I wouldn't poison you," German Empire said."Poison." Third repeated.Austria sighed. "I'll make another plate and you can watch so you know its not poison." Third shook his head again."Not hungry.""Third, you need to eat," Austria-Hungary said in a sad, motherly tone. Third's eyes flicked between her and the food. He shook his head again and turned away."Nein." Everyone sighed. Tonight would not be easy."Just a bite Third? Please? Just for your big brother?" Germany asked giving him the puppy dog eyes.Third stood up and his chair screeched as it scraped the floor. He gave Germany a murderous glare."I. Said. Nein." He whispered. Germany shot up as well."Nein, nein, nein! That's all you ever say! Why can't you ever do what is good for you? All I've ever done is be kind to you! I let you live in my house, eat my food, care for you when you can't do it yourself! And what do I get in return? A thank you? NO! I get sass and arguments and attempted murder! I don't have to care for you! I hate you! I hate everything you've done! Yet I help you! And god knows why I do because you clearly don't deserve it!" Germany panted heavily once he'd finished his rant.Third stared at Germany blankly. Everyone else watched the duo both nervously and excitedly. Fights and drama were entertaining."Fick dich." Third said flatly. Germany was silent."Is that all you have to say?" He asked finally. Third tilted his head to the side."Fick dich." He said again, reaching for a knife, "Fick dich. Fick dich! FICK DICH!"Third screamed as he stabbed Germany. Germany picked up a plate and smashed it against his head. Third in response bit Germany and he was thrown down as a result. Third picked up his chair and smacked Germany with it. Germany fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Third crawled over to him, knife in hand."fick dich, fick dich, fick dich," he whispered as he hovered the knife over Germany's chest, poised to strike."Come here you little shit," GE growled as his picked Third up by his neck. Third wailed and kicked and tried to claw at his father. GE held Third away from himself and marched outside."Is that really the best punishment?" Austria-Hungary called, "it hasn't worked for several years now!" GE grumbled as he stood in the doorway holding a flailing Third."Well what am I supposed to do with him then?" GE yelled frustrated. Germany banged his head on the table and struggled to keep from sobbing.Germany took a few deep breaths and then spoke "I'll take him back to the doc tonight." The rest of his family cast their eyes down. This wasn't the first time Third was put in a hospital because of his mental state."I can take him, you've had a long day," Switzerland said gently, standing up."No no, its fine, he's usually calmer with me anyways," Germany gave a weary smile. Switzerland nodded and darted down the hall to get Third's belongings."Third, look at me," Germany said softly, trying to look his brother in the eyes.Third shook his head and continued to struggle to get out of GE's grip."I want to say I'm sorry for my outburst, it was unwarranted and wrong," Germany continued. Third slowed down in his struggle."You can be difficult sometimes you know?" Third had grown tired of struggling and was hanging there limp, still not looking at Germany or anyone else."But I know my little brother is still there and still hears me, and I want you to tell him I love him," Germany finished. Third still stared down at the ground. Germany sighed.GE and Prussia helped to strap Third into the car and Switzerland helped Germany with the bags. There was no need, Third didn't have much he liked to have with him when he was gone.Soon enough the German house was in the rear view mirror. The roads of Pangaea were clear as no nations left their homes after dark. Things usually happened after dark. Like theft. There was always someone breaking in and stealing chairs. Got to be home to make sure your seats aren't stolen.Germany glanced at Third. He was leaning against the window and had most of his face turned away from him. Germany sighed again. He cared about his brother, he really did, but if he was honest, Third was a hopeless case to him.Germany looked back at the road guiltily. Maybe if he had noticed some of the signs sooner this wouldn't have happened. Third would be fine and normal. He wouldn't have manic or depressive or violent episodes. He wouldn't be paranoid of everyone and everything around him, to the point where he stopped eating. He wouldn't bounce between being a fully functional adult and a helpless toddler.Germany was mulling over all of the things that brought him and his brother to this point as he parked his car. He glanced at the lit up sign.
Pangaea Hospital For Mental Wellness.
Should he really be bringing Third here? The medicine was working. Did they over react?Germany looked back at Third. He wasn't doing well. The medicine wasn't working. He was becoming violent again. He hadn't eaten in four days. He tried to cut himself this morning because 'the men in the mirror told him to'. He hadn't seen or heard these men in more than eight months and now he was seeing them daily. But Germany still felt guilty. He felt like all he ever did was push his brother away onto somebody else to deal with.Germany held back a cry. He would keep it together, for his brother's sake. He quietly got out of the car and helped Third out. Third offered no resistance as they walked inside."Back again I see, this time unscheduled," the receptionist sighed. She knew them well, they came here at least every week for the past three decades.Germany was handed the familiar questionnaire to fill out while they waited for the doctor. Germany felt sick for having filled it out enough times to not even need to look at the questions. Finally the doctor came over. Germany stood up and shook his hand."Its been seven months, that's quite a streak," he said looking at Third. Third paid him no mind and fiddled with the strings of his hoodie. The doctor sighed and guided Third away. Germany would be back tomorrow to visit him, but he knew Third would be in here for lot longer than the last time. Before he was out of sight Third turned to look at him. "Third says he loves brother," he said over his shoulder. Germany could have cried right there. It was so rare to hear anything affectionate from not just Third, but anyone.Instead Germany beamed at him and waved goodbye. He walked slowly back to his car. When he got in he put his head down and cried silently.
Back at the German House"What's this I see, " a man muttered gleefully to himself, "the right front window open?" The strange man carefully climbed in through the window. He carefully fell on the couch and rolled off onto the floor, making not a sound. He army crawled all the way to the dining room and stood up. He rubbed his hands together and gave a cruel smile."These will do nicely, yes, very nicely," he murmured to himself. He carefully got to work, pulling the chairs out and then carrying them outside. One by one, the chairs appeared on the front lawn.Once all the chairs were outside the man pulled a trash bag out of his pocket. He slowly, by some magic, put each of the chairs into the bag. Then he straightened himself and tip toed away from the crime scene like a cartoon villain. The sleeping owners of the house would be in for a surprise when they woke up the next morning at dawn.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
--- Please do not try to replicate what USA is planning, you will be whacked with the nono stick many, many times ---USA had a problem. A big, Mexican problem.USA had always been good at keeping secrets. His best concealed secrets were his attractions. His next best was his romantic partners. He had more than a few throughout the centuries, most being humans. Although there once was that relationship between him and-No. He is getting sidetracked. Those past relationships don't matter. What matters is how will he win over his younger neighbor?Oh, Mexico. What a darling young man. How absolutely adorable he looks when frustrated. That little pout he gives and the slight narrowing of his eyes, its almost comical. And his laugh. His laugh is like that of the highest of angels. The purest of angels. How utterly pure Mexico is. How utterly corruptable.USA knows he has an obsession. He wants Mexico and that is a fact. He wants to be the one to make him laugh. To make him scream. To make him smile. To make him cry. He wants Mexico to be completely dependent on him. He wants Mexico to love him with all of his heart. He wants to break his heart.USA is not a kind lover, never has been. He is manipulated and abusive. He is narcissistic, that much is obvious. Of course in true fashion he never blames himself for this behavior, it is usually his lover who is to blame. Sometimes, if he is feeling particularly nostalgic, it is his father, Britain. If there is one thing he gives credit to his 'father', it is how he loves. And so that is why USA is standing in front of Britain's apartment door. He takes a deep breath, hoping that his father is in a good mood. Then he gives three, quick, successive knocks."Good afternoon," Britain greets as he opens the door, "How lovely to see you my child, finally come to see me?"USA nodded and gave a cheeky smile, "Yes, for your wonderful tea!"Britain chuckled, "you cannot fool me that easily, I know perfectly well your views on tea. Was it not three days ago you referred to it as 'leaf juice'?"USA sheepishly nodded and smiled, "that I did, but you know it is always in good fun.""Yes, yes, I do," Britain smiled and opened the door wider, "now come in before the neighbors use my open door as an excuse to bother me!"USA quickly followed Britain into his small apartment. He took his seat on the couch and saw some half drunk tea on the coffee table. That explained Britain's good mood."So what is it you came to me for?" Britain asked once they had both been settled."I wish to court someone," USA replied trying to keep his voice as even as possible. It was always difficult for him to talk about anything personal."Oh?" Britain raised an eyebrow."Yes, have you any advice?" USA continued, suppressing the urge to fidget under Britain's oppressive gaze."Well you should be well versed in the realm of romance by now, you are no schoolboy," Britain said insultingly.USA began to sweat slightly. "When it comes to humans I am, but if I wished to date a human I wouldn't have come to you now would I?" USA mentally cursed himself for losing some of the formalnesss in his tone and wordage.Britain raised his eyebrow higher, if possible. "You wish to court a nation?" USA nearly bit his tongue."Yes."Britain was silent. The seconds ticked on and USA's heart beat faster with every passing moment."Who?" Britain finally said causing USA to have to suppress a jolt."Mexico," he blurted out in his nervousness. Britain tilted his head."Mexico?" He repeated softly, as if he was saying the name for the first time. USA gave a short, affirmative nod.Britain hummed. "If he is anything like Spain, he likes food. You know better about his dishes than I do. Make him something comforting."USA nodded. "Thank you for the wonderful advice."Britain lit a cigar, "One last thing before you depart, be sociable not distant like you normally are." USA had to suppress the urge to roll his eyes."Will do," he called as he left the apartment, leaving Britain to his cigars and tea.USA walked down the busy streets of Immortal, the capital city of Pangaea. He was completely lost in thought. What kinds of food did Mexico like? Was it tacos? Tamales? Beans? How should he act to get his attention? Positive attention. He did seem to like America more...America slid down to the ground, leaning on the side of a building. The world was spinning and his vision swam. Where was he? Who was he? Suddenly everything cleared.America slowly took in his surroundings. It was a little dark, but that was to be expected for an alleyway. The rough brick of the building pressed into his skin almost painfully. He carefully stood up, leaning on the building for support. He took a wobbly step forward, hand still griping the dirty brick tightly. He kicked a piece of plastic mush and curled his nose in disgust. He loved big cities but not all the filth that came with them. His memories of the past three days came rushing back. The UN meeting, the standard military drill, his recent conversation with Britain, and Mexico. The plan. He had to stay focused. A lot easier said than done.America emerged from the alleyway into the bright sunlight. Humans and states rushed back and forth through The busy streets."Move it or lose it!" A familiar voice yelled. Shortly after the crowd parted to reveal one of his original states, New York.America jogged over to him, "Hey Yankee! How you doin?"New York glared at him, "Terrible! At least ten percent of the world is idiots and they're all right here!"America laughed, "or maybe your bad mood just makes it seem like everyone else is an idiot?""Shut your mouth or you'll catch these hands!" New York shouted at him, "Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta talk to some more idiots!" And with that the sleep deprived state stomped off. America chuckled softly to himself. Even when angry, his states never failed to amuse him.America walked to the park. That was where all his best ideas came to him. He smiled as he entered the familiar area.He looked for a bench to sit down on. He jogged over to his normal spot. There were little holes in the ground where the bench would normally go. Weird.America shrugged his shoulders and went to sit in the shade of the nearby tree. He wasn't opposed to sitting on the ground like some other nations. He quickly made himself comfortable and looked at the people around him. Several yards to his left was a young looking couple holding hands. He looked a little farther and he saw children running along the beach. A few men were canoeing in the lake.America sighed and looked at the empty space beside him. He used to take his lovers here and hold them in his arms. He would shower them with affection and gifts. He smiled as he remembered one lover that stood out from the rest. How unfortunate it was that nations could not be romantic with each other, at least not openly.America picked at the grass. He missed having that kind of relationship. His last lover died several years ago, a lovely woman he had met while fighting in Britain during WW2. She'd died of cancer in the 1980s.America's task suddenly came back to him. Mexico. He was going to date Mexico. That was if he even found America attractive in the slightest. Given the amount of insults he threw at America, it was doubtful he would be interested in a romantic relationship, even more so with what would happen if they were caught.But... This wasn't the 1800s where leaders could restrict everything they did, turning them into a puppet. Nations could love other nations, just look at AH and GE. But the fear instilled in them for so long is incredibly hard to get rid of.America sighed again. What should he do? He quite like Mexico, but how would he get his delightful southern neighbor to like him back.Kidnap him, a voice in his head whispered, take what is yours."No, I can't do that!" America mumbled to himself. Kidnapping people never ended well, unfortunately he speaks from experience. He is yours so take him, the voice continued on."nononono, we are not doing that," America said to himself a little louder this time. Listening to the voices in your head is a bad thing. Listening to the voices in your head is a bad thing. Listening to the voices in your head is a bad thing.USA sat up straight. He noted that a few people were staring at him. He glared at them and showed his very sharp teeth. They quickly averted their eyes. It was best to not mess with an angry nation.USA felt a stinging sensation in his arms. He looked down to discover fresh red stripes. He would deal with that later, his primary focus was Mexico.USA licked his lips. Mexico. Yes, he would have him. All he needed was to set up a one on one meeting about trade and procure nation level anesthesia and Mexico would be his.Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, USA chanted under his breath as he marched off to the UN building. He had a meeting to set up.--- 1607 words. Heh. ---
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"I've got the snacks!" South Korea shouted as he ran into the living room carrying a tray full of food.
"Nice! I've got the drinks!" Philippines replied taking the tray from South. "We've got Tubâ, Sake, Bubble tea, and some Soju for you!" Philippines said, presenting the table full of mostly alcoholic drinks to his companion.
"Who's ready to watch somebody get their ass kicked?" Australia shouted running into the room. A few of the more conservative nations frowned at his choice of words.
"I am!" Japan responded, putting on his headphones.
Today was no ordinary day. Once a month the East Asian and Central European nations gathered to watch Prussia and Japan battle it out in a multiplayer war game. This time it was Fortnite and the stakes were raised. Not only were several other nations playing, the winner would receive all of the money put into the pot. How much money? Only eight million in US dollars.
"Get ready for defeat! I never lose!" Prussia said boldly through his headset.
"Wasn't there that time in Kunersdorf?" Russia replied.
"Halt die klappe!" Prussia shouted. Any loss was not something you wanted to bring up about Prussia. A few chuckles were heard.
"Alright, who else is playing?" Russia asked.
"Me!" A voice came through almost immediately.
"Very informative," Russia rolled his eyes.
"Oh! America!" The voice shouted.
"Brazil," A tired man said yawning.
"Did Colombia's music or Haiti's voodoo keep you up again?" Japan asked, fiddling with his game controller.
"No! It was Cuba going on a rant!" Brazil said. An indignant 'hey!' was heard through the connection.
"Ukraine," another voice was heard. A few grumbles from Russia.
"Vietnam!" An enthusiast voice called. It was America's turn to grumble.
"Is that everyone?" Japan asked. A bit of static and cursing was sprinkled in with the chorus of yes's.
"Polska! Poland is playing!" Came a shout.
"Right! How could we forget about Poland!" Japan said smacking his head, "is there anyone else who is playing?"
---A few moments of grumbling later---
"Alright, starting the game in san, ni, tsu!" Japan said as he clicked the start button. Everyone watched as the characters were put onto a helicopter, looking down at a massive map.
Slowly but surely the players began to drop onto the map. The nations also had to compete with humans in this battle royal game. Vietnam and two humans dropped first. Soon after Poland and Ukraine dropped, Russia and a few more humans following suite. Prussia and America were the last to drop.
The line went quiet as the nations hyper focused on the game. The observing countries leaned forward in their seats.
"aw yeah," America muttered as he killed a human player who dropped some very good items.
"AW NO!" He shouted when suddenly his character died as well. He saw Vietnam come out of the bushes and steal both his and the human's stuff.
"Dammit America," Canada groaned, hitting his head on the table, "now I'm gonna lose my money!"
"Polska strong, Polska win, Polska rich," Poland chanted under his breath.
Prussia giggled to himself. 'Easy prey' he thought. He took aim. Russia aimed at the same target.
"CO?" Poland screamed. Russia and Prussia came out of hiding to collect the goods.
"OH FUCK YOU!" Poland screamed when he recognized the two nation's characters. They merely giggled, until
"AH!" Russia screamed as someone fired on him. He wasn't able to get away quick enough and he died. Prussia ran away screaming "You'll never get me!" and hid in a building.
The watching nations cheered and booed. They had of course placed bets on who would win. Tension filled the air as the number of players steadily ticked down.
"Come on anime boy, I bet 1000 dollars on you," Australia said as Japan narrowly dodged death. Japan growled at the nickname and killed a human player.
"Đụ!" Vietnam shouted as he was killed by Prussia.
"Language," Laos chided.
"Vietnamese!" Vietnam shouted at him as he threw down his controller.
The nations were nearly off their seats as they watched the game eagerly. Who would win? Would it be Japan with his suddeness, or Prussia with his planning?
The two finally came face to face. They quickly aimed their weapons and clicked their controller buttons madly in an effort to defeat the other.
Two screams of agony pierced the tense silence and cries of confusion followed.
"Didyouwin? Didyouwin? Didyouwin?" Many nations spoke rapidly, surging to surround the players.
"Nooooo! I'm dead!" Japan cried. Voices filled with disappointment exploded in the room.
"Wait! Wait! I didn't win!" Prussia yelled through the headset. Confusion filled the room once more. If Japan didn't win, and Prussia didn't win...
The winner appeared on the screen. The blue and yellow flag was easily recognizable.
"I DID IT! I BEAT YOU FUCKERS! AHA HA HA!" Ukraine yelled. The other nations fell silent in disbelief.
Ukraine ripped off his headset and tossed his controller.
"I WON! I WON!" His cackling could still be heard through his headset on the other side of his room. He danced around his room, laughing madly.
"Well," Japan said slowly, "how much money was in the pot again?"
China sighed and hung his head, "about 51 million Yuan." The surrounding nations did quick conversions to their own currencies in their heads.
"Prussia!" A scream interrupted the heavy silence, "Prussia! It is three in the fucking morning! You know the rules!"
"Shit," Prussia said softly before disconnecting. The other nations laughed nervously as they recognized who had screamed at Prussia. It was never a good day when Germany was angry.
"I have to meet with him today," Japan said, glancing at the calendar on the wall.
"Good luck mate," Australia patted his shoulder comfortingly. Japan started to tidy up his electronics sadly. He looked over to where he was just seated. Didn't he just have a chair there?
---Meanwhile---
"How many times do I have to tell you! No games until after eight hundred or after eighteen hundred!" Germany whisper yelled at Prussia as he dragged him downstairs.
"You need to have a schedule, some sort of structure," Germany ranted, mostly to himself now, as he made coffee.
Germany's eyes lit up, "I know what you need! A job!"
Prussia looked at him apprehensively, "you want the nation who is considered too old to drive a car a job?"
Germany huffed, "They didn't take away your license because you're old, they took away because you drive like a psychopath!"
"That's not as much of an insult as you think it is."
Germany slammed down a coffee cup, "the point is that you aren't doing well without a structure, a job would easily fix that!"
Prussia leaned on the counter, "fine, what job should I get then?"
Germany gave a small smile, "there are always positions that need to be filled, why don't you take a look in this week's edition of the Pangaea Paper?"
Prussia snatched and opened a can a grape soda and smirked, "maybe I will then."
Germany's smile dropped, "No soda until after lunch!" He shouted as he chased after Prussia, their commotion waking up the rest of house's occupants. Today would not be a happy day for any of the Germans.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Germany knew it was going to be a horrible day from the start. He had gotten a terrible night's sleep and then Prussia had to go and wake up the entire house with his game. Germany questioned all the decisions in his life that had led now."Your stupid game woke me up!" Austrian Empire growled at Prussia who was trying to sneakily drink a grape soda."I thought being woke up was a good thing these days?" Prussia replied, risking a sip."No soft drinks before lunch!" Germany chided as he snatched the drink away. Not sneaky enough."Why you absolute-" Austrian Empire started, balling his hands into fists."Boy who needs to take go hunting every once in a while," Teutonic interrupted entering the room. Austrian Empire glared at her and lowered his fist."He's not allowed to leave the house, you know this," German Empire said as he looked through the newspaper, the Pangaea Paper."Actually," Germany piped up, "After my meeting with Japan I was hoping to talk to UN about that. Almost 60 years in house arrest is far too long!" This piqued everyone's interest."So Prussia can finally stop moping about and being a depressed asshole?" Austria said poking his head into the kitchen."Hey!" Prussia shouted while Austrian Empire laughed."I think letting him slowly come back into the world would be a good thing," German Empire said as he folded the newspaper."How exactly are we going to do that?" Austria-Hungary asked, sipping on some tea."Well I was thinking he could get a job, he could really use the schedule that comes with it," Germany explained."Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves," Switzerland said entering the now crowded kitchen, "you still need to talk to UN first."Germany sighed and stared into his black coffee, "Yup, right after my meeting with Japan, and before my meeting with my politicians, and then after that I have a few hundred papers to go through...""I can always help with paperwork," German Empire said putting his hand on Germany's shoulder.Germany sighed and gave a weary smile, "its fine, I can handle it." German Empire frowned concerned."Don't stress yourself out too much then," he advised."Yeah, yeah," Germany mumbled into his coffee. They both knew that he would never change his ways."Anyways," Germany said standing up and stretching, "I have a meeting to attend to." The others bid him farewell as he grabbed his backpack and left for the Asian Sector.Pangaea was divided into six sectors. The first and most important was the Capital Sector, which held the largest city of Immortal and where many nations worked. The second was the African Sector, Southwest of the Capital. The Third was the Americas Sector, to the Northeast of the Capital. The fourth was the Pacifica sector, far south of Pangaea proper, unique because it was a detached archipelago. The fifth was the Europa, Northwest of the Capital, where Germany was coming from. Last but not least was the Asian Sector, Southeast of the capital, and where Germany was traveling to.It was a bit of a walk to even get to the bus station. Sure, Germany had a car, but taking a bus into the city and then riding the train to the Asian Sector was quicker and less expensive. And as we all know, Germany is about efficiency.Of course sometimes efficiency requires a sacrifice. Today that sacrifice was Germany's ears as he listened to a screaming child and a man yelling into his phone. He grumbled and wished he were GE so he could just take out his hearing aids and not have to deal with it.As he watched the suburbs fade into urban he wondered why the meeting couldn't be held in Immortal. It would be far easier for him. Unfortunately he couldn't change things now. After an agonizing hour the bus finally stopped at Germany's first destination. Germany hopped off the bus as soon as the doors opened, eager to get away from the noise. He was pushed around by the crowd and tried to take a sip of coffee to calm his nerves, only to realize he had run out. He groaned and looked at the time. It would take him twenty minutes to get coffee, and his train left in fifteen. Germany suppressed the urge to slam his head against the wall and instead acted like a mature adult and got his train ticket. He sat down in an empty compartment. His eyes stared ahead, unblinking. Anyone who walked in would find it quite creepy. Germany had mastered the art of sleeping with his eyes open. A major feat to a human, not so much to a nation. When you have been around as long as they have, you begin to truly understand the saying 'sleep with one eye open'.Three hours later Germany was stepping off the train in Panahgah Aman or Safe Haven in English. He was still quite annoyed at being woken up by Prussia, even if he was technically awake already. He was even more annoyed by the fact that the train took half an hour longer than it was supposed to, so now he still couldn't get coffee. Sure, he drank three cups before he left the house and one on the bus over, but he still needed his coffee dammit!Germany muttered curses under his breath as he professionally stumbled into the building where the meeting would be held. A quick glance at a sign and a few moments of grumbling and he was in the meeting room.He was surprised to see he wasn't the first one there, two of his diplomats and an economist had beat him. They greeted him respectfully and helped him set up. He stared at the clock in boredom. The special clock showed he was parallel to Tehran, Iran, and it was 12:30. It was 9:00 German time and 17:00 Japanese time. Pangaea's time zones were weird.Japan came in half an hour later, right on time, just as usual. He heaved a sigh as he sat down in a chair opposite to Germany."Good afternoon," Germany greeted with a grin.Japan gave a small chuckle, "Good morning." And with that the meeting began. ---Four hours later---"That should not have taken that long," Germany repeated to himself as he stumbled out of the meeting room."Agreed," Japan muttered as he stumbled out after Germany. For some reason their associates had obsessed over the price of rice. Rice.So instead of the meeting taking two hours as planned, it was over four hours. Neither Germany nor Japan were pleased with their schedules being rearranged like this."I was hoping to make it back tonight," Japan groaned, "but now I have to get a hotel." That's right, Germany thought, Japan lives five hours away from Panahgah Aman. Even if he left now, it would still be after two in the morning when he arrived home."I was hoping to meet with UN today," Germany complained, tossing a crumpled paper at one of the diplomats who had caused this situation. The diplomat whipped around to yell at whoever threw the paper but stopped in his tracks at seeing it was his nation. He covered his mouth and speed-walked away."Wait, why are you trying to see UN, as far as I know there are no meetings until next week," Japan asked turning towards Germany.Germany sighed, "I'm hoping to get Prussia off of house arrest."Japan gave a bitter laugh, remembering his mother's house arrest, "Good luck with that, that's one of the things UN does not budge on."Germany looked down, "I know, but Prussia is really starting to lose it, even if its not as obvious as Third."Japan stared at his friend for a moment. "How is Third anyway?" He asked finally.Germany glared at the ground. "He went back two nights ago," Germany said more aggressively then he intended."I'm so sorry to hear that," Japan started."Don't be!" Germany cut him off and then sighed, "this is the longest he's been out in thirty years.""Maybe he won't be there as long this time then?" Japan asked hopefully."Maybe," Germany sighed."Hey," Japan said putting his hand on Germany's shoulder, "if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here, and you know its no burden on me." Germany looked Japan in the eyes and gave a bitter smile."Thanks, I'll be sure to take you up on the offer," he said hollowly. Japan returned the fake smile. They had had this conversation a hundred times before, Germany never followed through.Suddenly, they heard commotion from behind them. Germany whipped around when he heard a familiar, panicked scream."Come back here you Ублюдок!" A tall woman shouted as she held a golf club high above her head. Germany ran towards the crowd, Japan following close behind.Germany pushed a human out of the way and body slammed the woman. She gave a grunt and fell to the ground. Germany gripped her coat tightly and began to yell at the woman."WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY? IS THIS YOUR CRUEL FORM OF REVENGE?" Germany shrieked and slammed the woman's head repeatedly on the pavement. If she began to bleed it didn't show because of her bright red flag. The woman soon had enough of this and pushed Germany off. She stood up to her full height of two meters and towered over Germany."I do think it is fair that I should kill a man who comes into my room and attempts to attack me," she said in a heavy Russian accent.Germany whipped around to look at his brother on the ground then back at Soviet. "Let me talk to him okay?" He said out of breath.Germany sat down in front of Third, who was currently rocking and muttering under his breath."Third?" Germany asked. He tried to suppress a cringe as he heard Japan shout as he fought Soviet. Third glanced up at him and then back down to the ground."Third, show me a number," Germany said softly. They had devised a system years ago for Third to use when he was nonverbal.Third shaking showed one finger, still keeping his arm close to his body. That wasn't good."Can I carry you?" Germany asked. Third put up two fingers. "I'm just going to take you inside, where there is no one around," he continued. Third struggled to show three fingers.Germany struggled to lift Third onto his back. As he turned around he saw that several police officers had shown up and were restraining Soviet. Japan gave him a thumbs up with one hand while the other held his bloody nose. Germany nodded and walked as quickly as possible back inside the building. He received a few strange looks but a glare made the strangers turn away.Soon Germany made it to an empty room. He gently set Third down in a chair and then knelt beside him, not noticing all the other chairs that should have been in the room were strangely missing."Third can you show me a number?" Germany asked. Third had his hands tightly clamped on his ears and his eyes were squeezed shut. Germany gently pulled one arm down and Third hissed in pain. Germany looked down at Third's sleeve. It was stained crimson."Oh, no, Third," Germany said softly as he gently pulled back Third's sleeve. His arm was covered with red bloody stripes."Did you do this?" Germany asked, looking back up at his brother.Third was still for a moment. Then he slowly nodded. Germany felt around in his pockets and pulled out a roll of bandages.Germany began to bandage Third's arms and hummed a lullaby. Third opened his eyes and watched Germany work. He didn't flinch at the pain, he never did."There, now can you tell me what brought this on?" Germany asked, keeping Third from scratching his arms through the bandages. Third looked away. It was silent for several minutes."It was loud," he said finally, in a hoarse voice. Germany waited patiently for him to continue."There were cruel, they made me, they made me do it!" He cried."Who made you do what?" Germany asked concerned."The man in the mirror, he follows me. He's always there, he wants me, he'll never leave me alone!" Third began to rock back and forth.Germany was silent for a moment. "When did you see the man in the mirror?"Third's eyes flickered between him and the wall. "Two hours after you took me there, he was waiting for me, he was waiting in the room!"Suddenly things clicked in Germany's mind. Third wasn't allowed to look in the mirror. Many rooms in the hospital had mirrors for some reason. Third probably wasn't put in his normal room and he freaked out. Since he wasn't in his normal room be didn't have a normal lock, meaning he was able to get out easily. He must have run across Europa and Pangaea and thought he was entering Germany's house when in actuality, it was Soviet's. Soviet freaked out and grabbed something shiny, causing Third to freak out more. But if Third was here, why had the hospital not contacted him?Germany looked at Third. "Listen, I'm going to take you home and everything is going to be alright.""Home," Third repeated, "home is nice." Germany carefully lifted Third onto his back and then walked out of the building.Germany stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. He didn't have his car. How was he supposed to get Third home? He was banned from being on public transport."Ah, Germany! I was wondering where you went after all of the commotion," someone said behind him. Germany turned around to meet Saudi Arabia."Nice to see you too," Germany said coldly. He was not in the mood for a friendly chat."It would seem you are in need of assistance?" Saudi Arabia continued, looking at Third with disgust."I am, do you happen to have a car I could borrow?" Germany asked. Saudi Arabia gave him a cruel smile."For a decent price, of course!" He said. Germany sighed."How much?" He snapped. Saudi Arabia took a moment to think about it."1,900,000 Riyals" he said finally."I'll give you 1,000,000" Germany replied."1,800,000" Saudi Arabia countered. Third started to whimper."1,500,000" Germany said."1,700,000" Saudi Arabia responded."Deal," Germany said tiredly."Lovely the car is around the corner, you know which one," Saudi Arabia threw the keys at Germany.Germany barely caught them.As Germany walked he thought up all the things he could do to Saudi Arabia. He could throw him in a vat of boiling acid. He could suffocate him with dirty socks. He could pull out his teeth, one by one.Germany carefully helped Third into the jeep. He had no idea why Saudi Arabia liked this piece of shit so much. Its bumper was practically falling off. The engine had enough rust to give an elephant tetanus. At least there were still doors.Germany sighed as he started the car. It shuddered and squealed and for a moment Germany was worried it wouldn't start. Most of his worries dissipated as the squealing turned to a purr. Now he just had to worry about the brakes not working.Soon enough the city was behind them. Now there was nothing but desert for the next several hundred miles. Germany looked over at his brother. He seemed to be much better now, just calmly staring out the window."Can you tell me more about what happened?" Germany asked. Third turned to look at him and then sighed."They were trying to get me to shower," he said flatly, "a nurse wanted to prove to me how bad I looked and shoved a mirror in my face."Germany nodded calmly. Inwardly he was screaming. Its impossible for anyone there to not know Third's triggers by now."Then what happened?" Germany asked."I ran out," Third replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world."How did you make Soviet angry this time?" Germany asked tiredly."I broke into her hotel and smacked her with a chair," Third replied, showing no remorse for his actions."Was the room you broke into random?" Germany sighed."Actually yes," Third responded, obviously pleased with himself."So she chased you with a golf club?""Yeah, I saw the shine of it and it freaked me out more," Third said guiltily."I see," Germany muttered. A moment later his phone rang."Republic of Germany speaking," he greeted."PRUSSIA HAS FUCKING LOST IT!" Austria screamed."Care to elaborate," Germany said in a bored tone. He was so done."He's banging his head against the wall!" Austria yelled."And this is my problem how?" Germany asked."Everything has gone to shit!" Austria continued. Germany sighed."That does not answer my question.""Prussia is whining about not having a fuck buddy and trying to beat himself, AE is trying to smash Teutonic's face in, and HRE took twelve instead of four pills! Twelve instead of four! How do you fuck up that badly?" Austria ranted. Suddenly a crash was heard."I CAN'T SEE!" Austria-Hungary's scream could be heard over the phone, quickly followed by Austria yelling at her."Prussia I need you to- Gott in himmel! GERMAN EMPIRE! PUT YOUR HEARING AIDS BACK IN! Anyways- oh shit HRE just puked, that's disgusting! And- OH MY GOD ITS THE DEMON TOASTER!" Austria screamed, trying to maintain some order."Yeaaaahhh," Germany chuckled nervously, "I'm going to call you back.""DON'T YOU FUCKING D-" click. The car was silent for a moment. Then both the brothers burst out laughing, but not out of humor."Oh god we are so fucked!" Third wheezed.Germany began to cry while laughing, "I hate this family so fucking much!" Their laughter soon turned to chocked sobs. They didn't have much time to focus on the situation with their family, as a wild Soviet appeared."AH WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCKING SHIT!" Germany screamed as the car swerved. Soviet was on his windshield. The Soviet Union was on his fucking windshield.Third looked at the shiny piece of metal in Soviet's hand. Then screamed bloody murder. The only thought in Germany's mind as the car sped towards a sand dune was 'oh shit, here we go again'.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
'So that was an absolute shitshow' Germany thought to himself as he flopped on the bed. Who's bed? Germany didn't know and was too tired to care at this point.Things had gone from bad to worse to horrible. He was forced out of bed to discipline Prussia, went to a meeting that took twice as long as it should have, had to take care of Third having a mental breakdown, and then had to fight Soviet with a
fucking car door.
Suffice to say, Germany was angry and tired. So enraged and exhausted that he passed out as soon as he hit the mattress.'So that happened' Prussia thought to himself as he flopped on the couch. To say he overreacted was a bit of an understatement. But maybe,
just maybe,
someone should have made sure Third's demon toaster was tied down.Prussia rolled over and stared at Third. He was calmly drawing in a corner. Nothing unusual, aside from the fact there was a sentient toaster with arms, legs, and beady red eyes sitting on his head staring at Prussia. Why did it even exist?Prussia had been minding his own business, scrolling through reddit, as you do, when his door was opened. He shrugged it off because the house was old and had drafts and the door never closed fully. Then something bit him. He obviously screamed in surprise and looked down to find a
fucking toaster with teeth
clamped onto his ankle. Sure, nations can't die and will heal pretty quickly from any wound, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like hell.So then Austrian Empire yells at him to shut the fuck up and he does the logical thing, run downstairs with a toaster biting his ankle and getting blood all over the floor. Austrian Empire sees him and laughs at his misery and Prussia punches him in the face, still with that damn toaster eating his ankle. So this is not Prussia's fault at all and it is
very
unfair that Germany took away the internet for a week. But he couldn't really get mad at Germany, he had a far rougher day than he did. And besides, how many centuries has Prussia been around? A week is nothing.
--- 3 days later ---"uuuuggghhhh!" Prussia groaned into his pillow. Stupid Germany. Stupid internet.A week without internet was far too long. Prussia was already losing it on day three. How was he supposed to survive four more days?"Get your ass out of bed!" Austrian Empire yelled from the doorway and threw the demon toaster at him."DU VERDAMMTES ARSCHLOCH!" He screamed at his brother. He scrambled to get away from the demon on his bed. It was staring him in the eye as it slowly advanced on it's stick legs.Prussia ran out of his room and slammed the door behind him. He was not getting bit today."THIRD! COME GET YOUR SHIT!" Prussia hollered as he went down the stairs. Third darted upstairs and shoved Prussia angrily as he passed by.Prussia spotted Austrian Empire on the couch. He ran towards him."Prus-" AE couldn't even say his attacker's name as a body collided with his."FICK DICH" Prussia yelled as he pounded his fists into AE's skull."PRUSSIA!" Germany screamed at the top of his lungs. Prussia stopped momentarily to look at Germany. This was just the opportunity AE needed to flip them."AUSTRIAN EMPIRE!" Germany screamed again. AE grumbled as he rolled off of Prussia."God dammit you two! I asked somebody, not you, to get Prussia for me! Not throw Third's devil toaster at him!" Germany yelled. AE grumbled and hobbled away. German Empire, who had been sitting on the other side of the couch reading his newspaper, slowly put his hearing aids back in.Germany sighed and then looked at Prussia. "Why don't you come chat with me in the kitchen?" He asked. Prussia followed, it wasn't a question."What did you need me for?" Prussia asked. Germany smiled."I talked with UN," he said, excitement seeping into his voice."And," Prussia asked. Don't play games and tell him dammit!"You are officially no longer under house arrest!" He said. Prussia's eyes widened. He could leave the house now. He could actually have a life!Germany handed him a paper. "These are the rules," he said. Prussia glanced over the paper. If he wants to drive he has to take a test, must respect others, listen to UN, blah blah blah."So," Prussia smirked, "want to go to the weapons park?" The weapons park was always Prussia's favorite place in Pangaea. You could have a sword fight, shoot at a target, or even drive a tank!"Actually, you can't for the next year. You have to prove yourself to be a responsible member of society first," Germany explained, tapping the paper."Dammit," Prussia muttered, looking over the paper properly this time. No getting drunk in public either. UN was no fun."So have you been looking into jobs?" Germany asked, pulling Prussia away from his thoughts."I've sent in applications to three already, and they all said hell no," Prussia replied."Have you looked into the one America put up? I hear he's getting desperate, no one has applied," Germany said. Prussia inwardly winced, he had hoped Germany wouldn't bring that up."No, I haven't, what is it?" Prussia felt the words fall out of his mouth. If only he could shove them back in."He just needs someone to be an assistant. Sometimes that means doing paperwork, other times overseeing the military, and sometimes beating the shit out of a politician. Just enough variety to keep you happy," Germany explained, pulling the advertisement from his pocket and handing it to Prussia.Prussia stared at the thin piece of paper. Bright red letters at the top screamed HELP WANTED. A little farther down it said no application needed, walk in interview. A bullet point list stated what Germany had just explained. Then at the bottom was America's signature and his phone number.Prussia looked back up. He chewed the inside of his cheek as he thought of what to say. It wasn't as if he and America had a bad relationship or history. Actually, they had a very good history together. Too good."I don't know," Prussia started and then faltered. Shit."What?" Germany asked, raising an eyebrow curiously."I'll think about it!" Prussia snapped. Germany smiled."Great! I'll call him and tell him that you're coming in for an interview tomorrow!" Germany said."Wait no-" Prussia yelled, but Germany was already gone. Shit.
--- the next day ---Prussia dug his nails into his palms as he stared at the door in front of him. He was outside America's little shop in downtown Immortal. A little sign in the window told him it was a wood shop, sold out of chairs. He chewed the inside of his cheek as he wondered why he was here. Out of all the places he could be right now it had to be America's.Prussia peered inside. What did he look like in person? He hadn't seen or spoken to America since 1860. Of course he had seen pictures of him and heard his voice on the radio, but it wasn't the same. Why did America cut him off completely in the first place anyways? He understood not contacting him during his civil war, but why continue to stay away?Prussia sucked in a breath. He was a strong, independent nation, who wasn't about to let nerves best him. He finally pushed open the door and walked inside.Prussia looked around. There were handcrafted tables with all sorts of wooden trinkets on top of them. The shop was dirty and smelt of sawdust. It was familiar. Too familiar."Prussia?" A voice asked. Prussia turned his head.America was standing a few feet in front of him. He was in his old overalls, all torn and covered in oil stains and sawdust. He threw down his cap and a dirty rag on the table next to him. Prussia inched forward."Lovely to see you again, America," Prussia responded, tilting his head to look the other in the eye. America was a lot taller than he remembered."Its been a while, hasn't it?" America said after a moment."Indeed it has," Prussia replied, letting his eyes wander around the shop.A tense silence filled the room. Prussia continued to look around the room, appearing completely calm and in control on the outside. Internally, he was screaming. 160 years of silence, pain, and guilt and the only thing America can say to him is that its been a while. Prussia wanted to punch him in the face.
America on the other hand was doing his best to keep from doing something stupid. He fidgeted with a pencil in his hand. He was stupid. He was young and he was so, so stupid."Germany said he had an applicant but never said it would be you," America blurted. At least it was something."Well do I get the job or not?" Prussia snapped his eyes to America. Prussia's stare pierced into his soul."Sure," America said immediately. Stupid! He mentally slapped himself. Why did he say that? Without an interview? With Prussia? Stupid, stupid, stupid!Prussia nodded, "What am I doing exactly?""Mostly helping me out? I need some paperwork done, so if you are willing to start immediately that'd be great," America shrugged.Prussia nodded and then stepped forward. He was now only a few inches away from America. Both nations were calm on the exterior. Both wanted to scream, for completely different reasons.America cleared his throat and stepped back. "Right this way then!" He guided Prussia to the back of the shop and around a stack of boxes.America motioned to a desk. "All the papers on the desk and in the boxes at the right need sorting, filling out, and signing. You just need to sort and fill them out. I'll be working if you have any questions." America explained and then walked away.Prussia slowly sat down. He looked up to see America was working a machine on the other side of the shop. He opened the top drawer. A little peak wouldn't hurt, would it?Nothing but pencils and pens in the first drawer. Prussia opened the second drawer. It was filled with letters, all addressed to America. Prussia looked back at America. He was still absorbed in his work. He picked up a letter. It was in very good condition for the date that was listed. April 4th, 1925. Prussia opened the letter carefully. It was short, only half a page. It discussed a meet up in Detroit. There was an undertone to it that was hard for Prussia to ignore. The signature at the bottom confirmed his suspicions.
Love, tall tree
it was signed. Who was this person?Prussia was startled by the sudden cutting off of the machine. He looked up just as America was turning around. He quickly put the letter back and closed the drawer, there would be time for investigation later.Prussia and America worked in a tense silence. What do you say to someone after a century and a half? But the pile of papers dwindled and questions bubbled up in Prussia's mind."So," Prussia said, leaning back in the chair, "what have you been up to?" Such a casual question. America knew from previous experience that it was a loaded gun pointed at his head. No matter what he replied with, he was dead.America cleared his throat and shuffled his feet. "A lot of things," he laughed awkwardly.
Prussia narrowed his eyes. America gulped. Even after all this time, Prussia still intimidated him."What happened?" Prussia asked. So many thoughts flew through America's mind. There was so much he wanted to say, and so much more he had to hide.America opted not to respond and instead turn around and try to continue working. Prussia quickly stood up and the chair fell over behind him with a thump. America winced but did not turn back around. He knew that if he looked at Prussia he would snap and everything he had done would be for nothing."Why do you still ignore me even when I am right here?" Prussia asked, sounding far weaker than he intended and America expected. America was frozen."What did I do wrong?" He whispered.
Nothing, America's mind supplied but that was not what came out of his mouth."Sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself," the words poured out of his mouth before he could stop them. God damn him and not having a filter! He didn't dare look behind him."So that's it?" Prussia asked shakily. "that's it!" He laughed. America winced again."No letter, no nothing," Prussia continued, his voice rising an octave. Prussia's laughter filled the room. It slowly tapered off into what suspiciously sounded like strangled cries."What happened to you?" He whispered, catching America off guard. America was silent as he wondered what the hell to say.
He couldn't be loyal. He couldn't stay."You're a lot different from what I remember," Prussia mused. America stared ahead, unblinking. But nothing could prepare him for what came next."But at least I can remember you, unlike her, or him I should say now."
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
America glared at the wall as he heard the door slam. Prussia had a point and he knew it. He had fucked up but he'd be damned before he admitted it.America finally turned around. Nothing in the little shop had changed, yet it felt as if he was seeing it for the first time. America stormed upstairs. How dare Prussia come here and act like that! America had done nothing wrong! He was a free spirit and would not be tied down!America flopped on his bed. Everything this week was going wrong. His plan to lure Mexico to a one on one meeting had failed. Now with Prussia in the picture, everything was more difficult.America tried to figure out how to get everything to work out. He had technically hired Prussia already and it would be pretty difficult to fire him. He could make something up, but that would jeopardize Prussia's freedom, something he wasn't keen on doing. He could wait for someone else to take interest, hire them, and then say Prussia wasn't the right fit...But until then he would have to deal with Prussia. What could he do to keep him busy and out of his business? He knew for a fact Prussia would try and snoop. Paperwork was probably the best thing for now.And what about Mexico? The more America thought about his plan, the less confident he was. Instead of kidnapping, he could just try to be normal for a minute and ask him on a date. But Mexico would surely reject him on the spot.America groaned. This was way more complicated than he wanted it to be. Then his phone rang."The greatest country speaking," America greeted."Hey Meri!" Canada replied cheerfully."Oh, hey tall tree," America said sitting up."I hope this isn't a bad time," he said worridly."No, not at all," America reassured him."Well you see, apparently there is an issue with steel tariffs and I'm supposed to talk to you about that, and I saw this nice restaurant near your place and its about dinner time, and was wondering if you wanted to talk things out over dinner?" Canada asked, somehow not out of breath."Yeah sure, text me the address and I'll be right over," America replied standing up."Okie dokie," Canada said cheerfully before hanging up.America chuckled to himself. Canada was always so happy and seemingly innocent.America smiled as he saw Canada waiting outside the little diner. Canada waved at him and gave a wide grin."Hey Meri!" Canada greeted excitedly. America returned the sentiment. They idly chatted as they waited in line. America looked at all the pictures on the wall. Several of them were taken in front of American monuments in New York City. He saw that half the dining chairs were missing, weird."Just wait, I'm telling you this place is the bees knees!" A familiar voice said behind him."Yeah, yeah, as if any place of yours would be good!" Another replied. America turned around."Hey Yankee, Jersey," America greeted his states."Hey Union," New Jersey said with a grumble, "you mind tellin this idiot that my diners are obviously better than his?" New York slapped the back of his head."Stupid! Your diners are shit!" New York said angrily. Canada and America sighed."Well why don't we get a table and see?" America asked. Both states shrugged and glared at each other. Finally they were able to get a table. America looked at the menu. Hotdogs, sandwiches, Knish, Reuben."What's this place called again?" America asked."Route 58," New Jersey grinned, "its one of mine. It serves real food, unlike the garbage you'll get over at New York's." New York slapped him again."Aye! Nobody does Knish and hotdogs like I do!" He said angrily."Yeah, nobody makes 'em as disgusting!" New Jersey fired back."Gentlemen, gentlemen," America intervened, "We both know your food is utterly reprehensible, and Connecticut's food is far superior!" Both states mouths hung open. Canada covered his mouth to keep from laughing too loudly."WHAT?!?" Both states nearly screamed. America laughed as both states shouted over each other trying to convince him that he couldn't have come to a worse conclusion.Their fighting was interrupted when a waitress came over to take their order. They quickly quieted themselves and glared at each other as they ordered. The food came quickly and friendly chatter resumed. Canada and America chatted talked about tariffs while New York tried to burn a hole into his Knish because he had to admit it was some good Knish."So, are you ready for the meeting tomorrow?" Canada asked after they had sorted everything out."What?" America nearly chocked on his hotdog, "what meeting?""Didn't you get the schedule? Its for everybody in the Americas," Canada said pulling out a price of paper.Sure enough, it was on the schedule. March 15th, Americas meeting, room 118. Topic, trade relations.America furrowed his brow as he pulled out his own copy of the schedule. He looked at the month, February. How had he grabbed last month's schedule?"Oh, one of last months must have accidentally gotten mixed in with this month's!" Canada said. America nodded."Can I borrow yours for a second so I can copy it onto my phone?" America asked. Canada gave him the paper. America quickly updated his calendar and handed the paper back to Canada."Well, I better get going! You know I can't leave Quebec alone too long, you know how he gets," Canada said standing up."Yeah, I haven't heard from Texas in a while, should probably make sure he hasn't murdered California," America shrugged."I'll pay," New Jersey sighed, getting his wallet."I'll cover tip," New York said.America and Canada walked side by side through the streets of Immortal. Canada chatted about how Nova Scotia had jumped Scotland and gotten ran over by a sheep but America wasn't listening. America's mind was focused on the fact that he had a meeting with Mexico tomorrow. Of course it wasn't just with Mexico, a dozen other nations would also be there."And that's when Alberta- hey! Look over there!" Canada said. America turned his head to where Canada was pointing. There, in all his yeehawing glory was Texas. He sat upon a large brown horse with confidence, lasso in hand. He dipped his hat to a lady state and smiled at an officer."Texas!" America shouted. He was NOT supposed to be anywhere near Immortal.Texas's smile dropped as soon as he saw America. He tugged on the reigns and tried to turn his horse around. America ran forward.America ripped the reigns out of Texas's hands. He directed the horse away from the streets into an alleyway and tied them to a railway while Texas tried to take them back. Once they had been tied America turned back to Texas and yanked him off the horse with ease."Put me down you bastard!" Texas hollered as he fought against America."No," America stated as he threw Texas over his shoulder. Texas continued to cuss and claw at America."Hey Canada, can you get someone to take care of the horse? I'm sure Oklahoma would be more than willing," America asked. Texas screeched."Yeah, no problem," Canada chuckled nervously as he watched America fight with the very angry state.America walked down the street with Texas kicking and hitting him. He got a few confused stares but once they saw it was Texas they looked away."Need help over there?" Mexico asked. America turned around."I can handle Texas just fine," America said shortly, "unless you want him? I'll even throw in a hundred million if you take him for the week."Mexico pondered the offer for a moment. "You're completely serious?"America nodded, "Yeah, just gotta make sure the government doesn't find out and everything should be fine."Mexico looked at America suspiciously, "That's it? No strings attached? I get Texas for a week and a hundred million dollars?""Yup," America shrugged. Then an idea popped into his mind."unless you would be willing to go on a date with me?" America wiggled his eyebrows. Mexico rolled his eyes."Then that's a no," he snapped. America panicked."Wait! I'll let you have him for a month!" Mexico turned back to face America."A month?" He asked slowly, "and I just have to go on one date with you?" America nodded quickly.Mexico stuck out a hand to shake, "deal." America smiled happily and shook his hand."I suggest you keep most weapons away from him, but let him keep his pistol," America advised, handing off the still struggling Texas to Mexico.Mexico nodded and threw Texas over his shoulder. "Text me when you want to have the date! You're picking me up and paying!" He called."Will do!" America said.America sped walked home. As soon as he was in his bedroom he face planted into his pillow and screamed. He never thought he'd say it again, but thank god for Texas!--- Route 58 Diner is a real place and is super good. Highly recommend it. The food is a bit on the pricier side but the proportions are massive so its definitely worth it ---
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
So taking Tejas may have been a bad idea."I'm gonna kick yer ass so hard my foot'll be in yer mouth!" Tejas screamed. Mexico had tied him to a chair with some rope two hours ago because he was trying to shoot holes in the ceiling."Detena," Mexico groaned. Tejas glared at him silently for a moment before resuming threatening him.Mexico sighed, "I have a meeting to go to, don't go anywhere." Texas continued to screech.Mexico rubbed his head as he walked to the bus stop. He'd had Tejas for 14 hours and he would not stop screaming. He also took all the medication. So now he has a high, screaming, dangerously armed state left alone tied to a chair. And on top of that, no headache medicine. He should have asked for one of the calmer states like New Mexico or Arizona.Mexico sighed as he climbed on the crowded bus. He scanned the people there, hoping to find someone familiar. He caught sight of Tejas and temporarily panicked, only to realize it was Chile."Hola," he muttered sitting down next to the other."Buenos días," Chile yawned.Chile and Mexico sat in silence for most of the three hour bus ride. The only time they spoke was to make little jabs at other, louder passengers."Finalmente!" Chile cracked his neck as he stood up to get off the bus. Mexico couldn't agree more. They grabbed their bags and began to walk through the busy streets of Immortal. The UN building was several blocks away. Chile stumbled along behind Mexico. He had to leave his house at eleven last night, just to walk three hours to the bus stop to take a five hour bus ride. He was beyond exhausted. At least Mexico didn't live on a mountain."Hola Mexico, Chile!" UN greeted as they walked inside. They grumbled out a greeting and walked to the meeting room."Hola Mexico," America said flirtatiously, wrapping an arm around his shoulder."Vete a la mierda!" Mexico snapped, throwing America's arm off."Damn, that hurts," he said, putting a hand over his heart.Mexico smiled sweetly, "In the words of your people, bless your heart!" America's jaw dropped and Canada was seen dying in the background.Mexico and Chile made their way to their seats without much difficulty. Other nations calmly entered and seated themselves without issue. That was until..."¡Quítate de encima, monstruo bebedor de té!" Argentina screamed."Give me my money!" Britain, who was attached to his leg, yelled back. They continued to scream back and forth."This is even worse than Cuba and America's arguments," Columbia sighed, taking a sip of coffee. He didn't flinch when a tea cup went flying over his head."Break it up! Break it up!" UN yelled over the chaos, yanking Britain away from Argentina."Bitch!" Britain shouted as he was dragged away. Argentina hissed and gave him the middle finger. As soon as Britain had been dragged out of the room Argentina calmed down and took his seat. Normal conversation resumed. More nations filled the room."Thank you for attending! ¡Gracias por atenden!" UN said from the front of the room. The nations shushed each other as they waited for UN to continue."Our first order of business is how can we improve the relations between our countries?" UN asked. The nations whispered to each other."The first nations to present are Canada and the United States. If anyone knows anything about having a positive relationship, it would be these two," UN gave a rare, genuine smile as he gestured the two to come to the front."Well, you see," America started, his nervousness obvious. Oh dear, he didn't prepare did he?"We believe our message can best be conveyed through metaphor and storytelling!" Canada interjected enthusiastically. The slideshow popped up to reveal a... beaver?"We believe that we should be like beavers!" Canada joyfully continued, even with the whispering in the audience. UN furrowed his brow, but motioned them to continue."Beavers build dams!" America said way too loud."And the floor is made of floor!" Cuba shouted out. Haiti shushed him."And these dams separate rivers!" Canada said, nervousness now creeping into his voice, "and we are the rivers!""When you are negative, you are the beaver! Your words are the sticks that build the dam!" America explained quickly. The slide changed to show an otter. What the fuuuuuu, Mexico wondered as he slammed his head on the table. Columbia patted his back."Otters represent unity!" Canada said, his voice having risen an octave."See they're holding hands!" America yelped."Be an otter!" Canada yelled.UN stared at the two of them. He looked down, sighed, and shook his head before looking at the redder than red nations."Boys, what the fuck was that?" He asked bluntly."A presentation?" America said, doing jazz hands. By now Cuba was hyperventilating from laughter.UN shook his head again, "go sit down." Canada returned to his seat mutely while America did a mock salute."Alright," UN sighed, "anyone else care to present?" Cuba calmed down enough to raise his hand."Anyone OTHER than Cuba?" UN asked. Cuba frowned and raised his arm higher."I'll go," Mexico raised his hand. He really didn't want to go, but he'd do anything to get out of another rant about communism. The only one who was worse than Cuba about communism was North Korea, god could that kid talk!Mexico lazily made his way to the front of the room. America gave him a thumbs up and he received the bird in return."So, first of all, one way that relations between nations could be improved is-""Communism!" Cuba interrupted Mexico. Mexico glared."could be improved is by increasing-""Worker solidarity!" Cuba shouted again. UN shushed him."increasing-""Viva la revolución!" Cuba screamed. America slammed his hands down on the table."Will you shut up about your stupid failed ideology!" He yelled."Failed?" Cuba laughed, "I'm doing quite well with it, unlike your economy! In America when Mr. Bank Man gets his feely-weelies hurt, the economy goes wheeee!""My economy!" Rage boiled in America, "look at yours! Your country is falling apart!""Oh really? I WONDER WHY!" Cuba screeched."Gentlemen! There is a time and a place for this kind of debate!" UN desperately tried to remedy the situation. His pleads fell on deaf ears. While the two were fighting a certain Anglo nation snuck inside the meeting room."¡DIOS MÍO QUÉ MIERDA!" Argentina shouted, rocketing out of his chair.A wild Britain crawled out from under the table with a wicked gleam in his eye and a sharp knife to match. Argentina screamed again, many other nations joining in.America jumped over the table to grab Britain by the neck, "Alright old man! Time to take you back to the nursing home!""You'll never take me to my grave!" Britain screeched. Argentina's chair had magically vanished.America threw the struggling old man over his shoulder and marched to the door. He paused when he heard the sound of glass shattering. Mexico cried out as a body landed on him."REMEMBER THE ALAMO!" Texas screamed.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
It had taken two hours to wrangle both Texas and Britain. UN was left crying on the floor by the end of it."Should we do something?" Canada asked concered, staring at the hysterical organization in the corner. He had been there for almost half an hour."Nah, its just his weekly breakdown, he'll be fine!" America reassured him. Canada wasn't reassured."I could really use some coffee," Mexico grumbled.America perked up, "I could buy you coffee!" Mexico looked at him with apprehension."Sure? But we're going to one of my places," he said, staring at America suspiciously."Alrighty!" America slung an arm around Mexico's shoulder. He grumbled but didn't push America away. The two walked together down the streets of Immortal, Mexico leading the way."What's your favorite color?" America asked out of the blue."Why?" Mexico snapped."I don't know?" America replied, sounding just as confused. Mexico sighed."Pink," Mexico said quietly."Pink?" America repeated."Ay! Don't you say shit about it!" Mexico said defensively."Woah! I wasn't saying anything!" America briefly put his hands up in surrender."I like red," America said after a tense moment of silence."Is it because of your flag?" Mexico scoffed."No actually," Mexico looked at America confused, "it reminds me of roses."Mexico was quiet for a moment, then he huffed, "you're weird."America laughed, "absolutely!" Mexico looked away.Soon they came upon a little shop. Mexico eagerly walked over to the door and then frowned."It's closed," he mumbled miserably. America wrapped an arm around his waist."It's okay! We'll just find another one! There are plenty of coffee shops around here," America comforted him."Yes, but they're not this coffee shop!" Mexico complained."I know, I know," America said, "we can always come back another time."Mexico grumbled under his breath as they continued to walk. Stupid coffee shop! Stupid Texas! And stupid America who had his arm around his waist. If that hand went a few inches lower..."Arabian Delights," America read aloud, looking at the crooked sign.Mexico looked up. In front of the duo was a little rundown shop. There were all sorts of a foods on display in the window. What drew Mexico's attention the most was the three suspiciously bullet shaped holes in the door."Wanna go inside?" America asked. Mexico glared at him."I just want some coffee," he grumbled, pushing open the door. A little bell dinged."Marhaba!" Saudi Arabia called out as they entered, "to what do I owe the pleasure?""Coffee," Mexico near growled.Saudi Arabia nodded and looked to America, "any particular type?""Black," Mexico said quickly before turning around and sitting at the one table that had seats."A medium latte for me, large black for him, put only a dash of sugar in his," America said."On it!" Saudi Arabia clapped his hands and went back behind the counter.America sat across from Mexico. Mexico glared at the table. America began to bounce his leg and look around the shop."Hey Saudi! Where'd all the chairs go?" America called. Saudi Arabia looked up."Someone broke in last night and stole all our chairs! They didn't even touch the register!" He explained frustrated, "I was able to bring some chairs I had in my home though...""That's the third time I've heard a case of chairs going missing!" Mexico finally lifted his head up."Wait what?" Saudi Arabia asked."Yeah! The Germans had their chairs stolen last week and Japan had his stolen yesterday!" America explained, "They came to my shop to buy replacements.""Good to know I'm not the only one!" Saudi Arabia joked."Is that how you got those holes in your door?" Mexico asked."What holes? Oh yeah, no, those are from India and Pakistan having a brawl outside my shop," He explained.Mexico stared ahead blankly. The only noise in the shop was the coffee machine and America's incessant tapping. His fingers drummed on the table while his leg bounced up and down rapidly. He seemed to constantly be shifting in his seat.Saudi Arabia set down two coffees on the table and then held out his hand. America dug in his wallet for a minute before pulling out a few bills. Saudi Arabia gladly took the money and then went to the back of the shop, out of view.Mexico took a greedy gulp of coffee and let out a pleased noise. "Ahhh, black, just like my soul!" He said happily.America chuckled. "Edgelord," he muttered."What was that?" Mexico glared at him."This is some good coffee!" America said quickly, taking a sip of his drink. Mexico rolled his eyes.Soon enough they had finished their coffee. As they left the shop America suddenly grabbed Mexico's hand."Ay! Keep your filthy hands to yourself!" He snapped, yanking his hand back."Aww, I bought you coffee and this is what I get?" America said teasingly, but there was an undertone to it that made Mexico nervous."Whatever!" Mexico rolled his eyes. America gave a wide smile as Mexico didn't fight him when he took his hand. They walked together, hand in hand, through the streets. A few curious looks were sent their way. Mexico growled at the onlookers. Given his luck, this would be all over the papers by tomorrow morning. All the way to the bus stop America talked. He asked Mexico all sorts of weird questions ranging from his favorite food to how he saw his father. Mexico always responded with a snarky comment and a glare, which America would laugh at and call him cute.Much to Mexico's relief they finally came to the bus stop. America's questions were really starting to make him uncomfortable."Well I suppose this is it," America smiled down at Mexico. Something about it felt hollow."Yes it is," Mexico snapped, "now I would like my hand back!" America laughed and released him.Mexico turned his back towards America as he searched the street for his bus. Something about America's attitude had changed when they left the coffee shop.Mexico sighed in relief as his bus appeared. He was startled when America roughly grabbed his arm and turned him around."I'll see you here this time in three days," America growled into his ear before roughly kissing him. Mexico was frozen. Then he was pushed back and America gave him a cruel smirk. He had seen that exact look before. Centuries ago, in the ruins of his country. Then America vanished as his bus stopped. Mexico got on the bus in a complete daze, a sick, sinking feeling engulfing him.

---I forgot where I was going halfway through this
chapter---
Prussia stormed into the house, feeling disgusted and enraged. German Empire looked up at his angry father. It was rare he lost his cool like this.Prussia had already slammed the door to his bedroom by the time Germany came out of the kitchen to talk to him. He flopped onto the bed and screamed."What the hell was that?" Germany asked, nearly dropping his paintbrush when he heard Prussia's muffled screaming.German Empire stared mutely at the stairs. His eyes were wide and his mouth was slightly agape. He jumped when Austria-Hungary ran in from the backyard, bonking her head on a doorframe or two."What happened? Is everyone okay?" The words tumbled out of her mouth. German Empire looked between her and the stairs. Another muffled scream, sounding more like a cry, came from upstairs.Austria-Hungary turned to run up the stairs, but Germany grabbed her arm and shook his head. Austria-Hungary's face was filled with confusion and fear, and she slightly pulled away from him. He gripped her arm harder. She eventually stopped struggling and sighed defeated, head turned towards the stairs dejectedly. They both had enough experience with Third to know when someone needed space and when someone needed help.Eventually the sounds quieted. Their worry didn't subside though. Germany went back to the kitchen to check on Third, who was incredibly focused on his painting.Fifteen minutes later Prussia came down the stairs. He had a wide, uncanny smile on his face. His eye was hollow as he glanced around the room. He silently made his way to the kitchen, where he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and began to chug it."I really don't think you should drink that all in one sitting," Germany raised an eyebrow as he saw Prussia had already downed half the bottle. Prussia slammed the bottle on the counter and wiped his mouth."You're probably right," he murmured, staring at the bottle blankly. They stared at each other awkwardly for a few minutes. Except Third, who was happily humming and painting."I'm assuming your first day didn't go as planned?" Austria-Hungary asked gently."Sure as fuck didn't!" Prussia laughed, picking the bottle back up and taking a swig."Care to elaborate?" Germany asked."Nope!" Prussia laughed again and took another drink. Three quarters of the bottle were gone by this point.German Empire gripped Prussia's wrist to stop him from taking another sip. Prussia looked into his son's eyes. So many different emotions flashed across Prussia's gray eye. Regret, anger, but most of all hurt.German Empire tapped Prussia's lips and then his own. A silent question. Prussia patted his cheek and then raised his palm above GE's head. Confusion flashed in GE's eyes, but Prussia merely shook his head. The others watched on in confusion, not understanding the silent language. Regardless, it was clear that whatever happened today, Prussia would not reveal anything."Done!" Third said, proudly holding up his painting. He smiled widely, not reading the room."Aww! That's so good Third!" Austria-Hungary cooed, running her fingers over the painting. Prussia took that moment to drink the rest of the bottle."What's it supposed to be?" She asked excitedly. Third poked at her shyly."Me? Oh wow!" She giggled. It wasn't hard to tell for anyone else, but they let them have their moment.Prussia watched sadly as AH oohed and awwed at Third's
work. Memories long forgotten by the other members of the household flashed before his eyes.Prussia surged forward to hug his son, German Empire, earning an odd squeak of surprise. Prussia tapped his heart and then GE's, a silent I'm sorry. GE stood there confused.Prussia pulled away to stare at Austria-Hungary and Third, who were now looking at him curiously."I-I need to go for a walk," Prussia pushed past them to go to the backyard. His family stared after him confused. What could have possibly happened at work that would make him act so out of character?"I'm going to call America," Germany muttered. GE nodded and turned towards Third."USA is currently busy, please leave a message after the beep." Germany sighed and hung up. He would have to find another way to contact America.
---Timeskip---104 missed phone calls, 23 emails, and one angry visit finally got USA's attention."Did you really have to call me that many times?" USA sighed exasperated."I sent a chipper Prussia off to work. I got a depressed Prussia back. I want an explanation." Germany glared at USA.It had been three days since Prussia first went to work. Three days of him refusing to eat, sleep, and speak. Three days of him randomly hugging GE for dear life and crying afterwards. No explanations. AH was confused, GE was angry, and Germany wanted answers."Look, he did paperwork, I worked the machine. That's all that happened. Maybe he saw something that spooked him?" America rubbed his eyes. Germany's glare intensified."You're telling me, the several hundred year old nation, who killed men with a smile, who didn't even flinch once during the world wars, got spooked by something he saw on a paper?" Germany yelled.USA threw his hands up, "What do you want me to tell you? I've already told you everything that happened that day, minute by minute, four times!""I know you're hiding something!" Germany slammed his fist on the table. USA leaned back calmly."Am I?" He asked. His tone sent shivers down Germany's spine. The look in his eyes was cold, calculating,
predatory."I hope you know this family is perfectly willing to fight fire with fire," Germany threatened in a low voice."And I hope you know that I am always holding the water needed to put you out." USA smirked and leaned in. "In case you've forgotten...""As they say," Germany said standing up to leave with a smile, "third time's the charm."As Germany left USA's house he couldn't help the feeling he was being watched. For the first time in three decades, he felt true fear.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
--- Schedules? What's that? Feel like I need to mention that this chapter is not something you should attempt ---Goddamn Prussia!USA seethed as he smashed his fist into a wall. He breathed heavily as his eyes darted around the room, looking for someone, something to challenge him. He'd ignored Germany as long as he could. He stayed away from his house, busying himself with his nation duties. Nonetheless Germany had managed to track him down and confront him.Germany was persistent too, stubborn, just like the rest of his family. USA had hoped he would turn out different, especially given all the time and money he had spent on him. Goddamn Germans.USA stumbled down the hallway, eyes red and vision blurry. He threw open the kitchen cupboards and grabbed the first bottle he saw. He stomped back to his room and went out onto the balcony.USA pulled a box out of his pocket. He messed with his lighter for a moment before lighting a cigarette. He sighed in relief as he took a drag.He alternated between drinking and smoking until the sun touched the horizon. He threw the empty bottle in the trash, feeling much calmer. He supposed he would have to have a conversation with Prussia. Teach him a lesson, perhaps.---timeskip---It was two in the morning and USA was outside of the Germans' house. He carefully peered inside. Germany was asleep at his desk, the light still on. USA tiptoed around to the back. He unlocked the back door using a key he stole from Germany during their conversation earlier. His breathing quickened as he turned around a corner. It was okay, he told himself, he had been here plenty of times before. Despite this, his heart continued to race.USA crawled up the stairs silently. He froze when one of the steps creaked from beneath him. He counted to ten in his head, trying to steady his breathing. No matter what he did, he couldn't calm down.Nothing happened, so he continued his way upstairs. He counted the doors, he had to make sure he got the right one. There was no room for error, everyone here was a light sleeper.Sweat dripped off his brow as he slowly turned the door knob to what he was sure was Prussia's room. The door opened silently to reveal a dark room.USA creeped into the room. He looked around at all the dark shapes, doing his best to avoid knocking over something. Eventually he made it to the bed.USA looked down at Prussia. He looked so peaceful. His scar was visible in the moonlight, a reminder of past battles. USA reached out a hand to touch him, but something stopped him.USA exhaled shakily through his nose and withdrew his hand. He pulled a cloth out of his pocket and held it over Prussia's nose and mouth. USA used his other hand to steady himself. Prussia continued to peacefully sleep.Almost half an hour later USA removed the cloth. He really needed to invent something faster acting. He shoved Prussia to make sure he wouldn't wake up. Prussia didn't even flinch.USA carefully picked up the sleeping nation. Now onto phase two of this dangerous operation. USA quietly stepped down the stairs, trying not to drop Prussia. That would wake up the rest of the house for sure.Another fifteen minutes after that and Prussia was in the passenger seat of his truck. If anyone asked, he would just say Prussia had passed out at a party and he was bringing him home.It was well after six by the time he came to the gates. The gates were the border between Pangaea and the human world, carefully guarded. Phase three was about to begin.USA pulled off to the side of the road, still a few blocks away from the gates. Due to ancient magic, Prussia can't leave Pangaea for another few centuries. So USA would have to get creative.USA pulled out a few crystals and spices. According to the book he had read, if done correctly, this would temporarily turn Prussia into a human. If done incorrectly, well, he would just have to wash the blood out of his clothes. Either way, problem solved.USA mentally prepared himself for the ritual. Forgoing the laws of nature wasn't exactly an easy task. He took a deep breath and began to chant.--- For legal reasons and for your safety and sanity the following has been redacted ---USA looked at the man beside him curiously. It was still Prussia, obviously. But now he looked every bit human. From the silver-blonde hair atop his head to his pale, calloused hands. Despite his neutral face, he could tell Prussia was in severe pain right now.USA restarted his truck and drove to the gate. This had better work."Name?" The guard asked."United States of America." He replied irritated."What business do you have leaving Pangaea?" The guard asked suspiciously."I have a meeting with my president, specifically to discuss this naughty diplomat over here," USA jerked his head towards Prussia."Papers?" The guard held out his hand. USA handed him the forged papers. He waited with baited breath as he watched the guard look them over."Wrist," the guard ordered, holding a special scanner. USA rolled his eyes, but complied. The guard scanned the American's wrist, right where his tattoo was. Many would assume that it represented his love for his country, the tattoo being his national seal. USA only looked upon it with bitterness, a reminder of what he once had, but now was lost."Where am I sending you to?" The guard asked.USA thought for a moment. "West Virginia, I want to enjoy a bit of a ride before I have to be proper again." The guard remained passive."Go." The guard ordered. USA glared at him and drove forward. The gate slowly opened. Behind it was a thick fog and a barely visible dirt road. To the untrained eye, there was nothing special about it.USA winced as he drove into the fog. The fog forced its way into the truck and surrounded them, suffocated them. It burned his skin and set his lungs on fire. Prussia's mouth opened to scream. It was muffled by the oppressive fog. Then everything lightened. The fog was gone. They were on an empty mountain road. USA's skin tingled and his ears rang. He hated crossing over. The ringing in his ears was replaced by the wretched sound of screaming. USA felt around his numb face, his mouth was closed. So he wasn't the one screaming.USA looked over at Prussia and nearly drove off the side of the mountain. His face was covered in blood and his limbs jerked around violently. He made an awful chocking noise in between screams.USA grabbed his jacket from the backseat and rubbed it on Prussia's face in an attempt to clean up the blood. The transformation doesn't save him from the pain of crossing over unnaturally.USA pulled his soaked jacket back. Blood poured out of Prussia's opened mouth and tightly shut eyes. He continued to scream."shut up," USA muttered. He would be fine in a few minutes. USA was far more worried about the consequences of what he had just done.It was highly illegal to try and transform a Countryhuman into a human. Even more illegal to do so with the intent of crossing over before their time was up. Not to mention kidnapping and forged papers. Would he be put before the Council? Locked away in the Underground? He would deal with that later, right now he had to get Prussia secured. Luckily for USA, he had a hidden house nearby. He would leave Prussia there and then go talk to his president to keep up appearances. This was a foolproof plan he repeated to himself, nothing would go wrong. He repeated this over and over as he locked Prussia in his basement. Of course he knew something was bound to go wrong, Murphy's Law and all, but he would deal with that later. Old habits die hard, including kicking the bucket down the road.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
He slowly cracked open his eyes. The world was blurry, dark, and had a strange red tint to it.He carefully unclenched his numb fingers. He blinked rapidly, eyes refusing to adjust to the dim lighting of the room. His instincts screamed at him, something wasn't right, but what?He groaned, trying to remember something, anything. Pain shot through him as he realized how raw his throat was. There was a tiny voice in his subconsciousness, screaming at him, screaming in a language he could no longer understand. His conscious self couldn't differentiate it from the intense ringing in his ears.He could feel his fingers now. The ringing had died down a little too. He felt a weight on his wrists. He looked up dumbly. Cold metal shackled him to the wall, his arms forced above him. He slowly shook his head, trying to clear the fog in his mind and his vision. There was a tight feeling in his stomach, a pounding in his chest, a subconscious tensing of his muscles. He felt... scared.Strange. It felt new to him. Although he didn't know what was new and what was old at the moment. He tried to dig into his memories for some indication of what was what, only to find that fog. It trapped him just as much as his chains. His breathing quickened. It burned. He chocked on every breath. Black spots danced in his vision, or were those always there? He couldn't remember. What happened? He couldn't remember? His own heartbeat hurt. Where was he? He couldn't feel anything below the waist.Who was he?He gasped desperately, his body betraying him. He coughed and something red and wet spilled out of his mouth. His face was dripping with the strange substance, pouring from his eyes. His breaths grew shorter and shorter, the red growing more and more. His face contorted and twisted itself, his body shook as it fought for the oxygen it was denied. He couldn't think, couldn't focus. He needed air. He was denied.PrussiaHe took a shuddering breath as if he were a newborn. What was that voice? He was too busy gasping greedily for air to care at that moment.Soon enough his breathing evened out enough for him to focus. He blinked rapidly as he looked around the room a second time. The red tint began to fade, as well as the blurry. He could make out the shape of a table. Now, what was that voice? It couldn't be his. It was too soft, too feminine, yet all too familiar. What did it call him again? His brows furrowed as he tried to remember.PrussiaThere it was again! It certainly was not his! But then whose could it be? And that name, it was far too familiar. It tickled his mind uncomfortably. The knowledge was just out of reach. He huffed and briefly slumped before straightening himself. These chains were quite uncomfortable. He experimentally tugged on his bonds. It seemed mostly firm. He tugged again and felt a little more leeway. He tugged sharply and felt it give quite a bit. He could now lower his arms by a few inches. If he tugged a little more...Snap!He flinched as the chains suddenly gave. He lowered his hands into his lap and stared at the cuffs. He could work with this.Next he carefully moved his numb legs. It seemed like there was nothing restricting them. He pulled his knees to his chest. Nope, no restrictions. He stood up shakily, still not feeling in full control of his body. He managed to steady himself on the wall, however. He took a hesitant step forward, and then another. He leaned on the wall for support, feeling around for a door. He turned to corners before he finally felt cold metal."There we go," He whispered to himself as he turned the knob. What a poor prison this was.The door creaked as he opened it. He stared at the stairs before him, feeling uncertain all of a sudden. What if this was all just a test?He stepped forward onto the first step. It groaned, but nothing happened. It was the same with the next step, and the next.He breathed a sigh of relief as he reached the top. Then he saw the door in front of him. He inwardly groaned, couldn't he just be free already? Nonetheless he turned the doorknob. This is a trap, he thought. It shouldn't be this easy. Yet the door swung open without issue. He blinked as his eyes adjusted to the bright light. He peeked his head out, looking left and right. There was only warmly lit hallway. He stepped out into the open. He continued to blink rapidly as his eyes adjusted to the light. Leaning on the wall for support, as he was still feeling weak, he staggered down the hall.He almost fell forward into the kitchen as the wall ended. He was able to catch himself on the counter. Black spots danced in his vision and he breathed shallowly.Where am I? He wondered to himself again. Why am I so sick?He stumbled over to the sink. He looked up to find a small window. He peered out, seeing rolling green hills, beautifully illuminated by the sun. Something told him it was around ten in the morning. How he knew was anyone's guess. His stomach growling interrupted his thoughts. He glanced over at the fridge. Whoever owned this house surely wouldn't mind if he were to get a bite to eat.He unsteadily walked over to the fridge, having to pause for a moment due to dizziness. He opened it and was met with an array of foods. From peaches to turkey. He grabbed an apple and bit into it. He gasped, he had never eaten something so sweet! He aggressively ate the apple, craving that sweetness. Juice dripped down his chin as he savored the fruit. He was so distracted he didn't hear the click of a gun."Who in the hell are you?" An angry voice came from behind him. He froze, eyes wide."If you don't answer within the next ten seconds I'll put a bullet in yer head!" The voice threatened. The accent sounded so foreign yet so familiar. He slowly turned around, face filled with guilt. He eyed the gun carefully as he dropped the apple and raised his hands in surrender."Go on, tell me theif! What's yer name?" The strange man gestured at him with the rifle. He studied the man for a moment. His face was mostly white, but with a blue border and some sort of seal in the center. He knew he should answer but he was far more taken aback by this man's appearance. He noted that his hands were blue, but the tips of his fingers were pure white."Are ye deaf or stupid?" The man asked aggravated."Amazed," He replied softly. The man lowered his gun and stepped backed, confused. Then a light bulb went off in his head."Shit! Yer human! I'm on the human side!" He shouted. The term human didn't feel right to him. He knew he was something else..."I don't think so," he blurted out. The other looked at him bewildered."What," he whispered, clutching his gun to his chest, "are ye a demon?""I-" he started, "I'm not sure, that doesn't sound right either.""What? What do ye mean it doesn't sound right either? Just- just tell me yer damn name!" He yelled, taking another step backwards, back meeting the wall.Shit, what's my name again? He cursed at himself. The seconds ticked on as he tried to concentrate."Prussia!" It tumbled out of his mouth. It felt right, the only thing to feel right since waking up.The man only looked more scared. "Bullshit!" He shouted. "Ain't no way!"Prussia nodded, "I am!""Prove it!"This time Prussia stepped back. How is he supposed to prove it?Prussia studied the others flag again. It was somewhat familiar. He racked his brain for any clues."You're apart of the United States right?" He guessed, "like not a citizen but an actual part" The narrowing of the others eyes and slight clenching of his jaw seemed to indicate he was right."and you're a state?" Prussia continued. The other stayed silent.A memory flashed before Prussia's eyes, hot and blinding. There was a young boy before him, another person with a flag for a face. He was talking to two boys, both around the same age. They had those flags too. The boy was talking to him, introducing him to the others."West Virginia, that's your name!" He exclaimed. The man, er, state in front of him nodded."Congrats, you know flags," he muttered suspiciously."The other boy, the one with stripes on his face, introduced me to you a long time ago.""If yer really Prussia where is yer flag?" West Virginia cocked an eyebrow."My flag?""Ye know, the black stripes? The eagle eyepatch?""I have no idea what you mean!" Prussia said, touching his face.West Virginia sighed, "I'm calling 'Merica to come deal with you."
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
--- Dialogue, anyone? ---RING RING RINGAmerica glanced down at his phone, then back at the DC traffic."The US of A speaking, how can I help you?" He answered cheerfully."¡Bastardo absoluto!¡Devuélveme mi teléfono!" America pulled the phone away from his ear."How stupid of me to think that it would actually be Columbia this time!" He rolled his eyes."¡Vete a la mierda!""Love you too Mex!" Click.America set down his phone and focused on the road. There had been almost no movement in the past half hour. At this rate he wouldn't make it back for the NATO meeting this evening.RING RING RI-"Hey Brazil!""¡No me cuelgues el teléfono!""Goddamit Mexico!" America leaned back and pinched his nose. "Just buy a new phone if you're that pissed!""You shouldn't have taken my phone in the first place!" Mexico seethed."Just shut up and stop using other people's phones!" America sighed frustrated."You stood me up! Its been three days!""Sometimes shit gets in the way!""GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!"America hung up the phone again and made a point to put it on silent. The day was going pretty well so far. He had successfully kidnapped and locked up Prussia and had yet to hear anything from Germany. Though now that he thought about it more, he probably would be the prime suspect. But he also had plenty of people to back him up. He just had to remember to move Prussia somewhere else before West Virginia comes back from his hunting trip.He smiled as traffic finally started to move, tapping his finger on the steering wheel to the beat of his music. Maybe he'd actually be in the city before next century! And then traffic stopped. Again. America smacked his head on the steering wheel. This was exactly why he hated driving, especially in his cities. He glanced at his phone."North American Treaty Organization, state your purpose for calling,""Hey NATO! Where you at?" America grinned."That would be classified," NATO responded monotonously."I am literally the United States of America and your dad," America deadpanned."I have no father nor mother, I sense you are lying to me about your identity," NATO said with only the faintest hint of amusement in his voice."Bullshit! I raised you!" America said somewhat seriously. "Now tell me where you are!"NATO grumbled, "Stuck in DC traffic.""Twins!""But you just said-""You really need to learn to take things with a grain of salt," America muttered."Yes, let me pull out the salt shaker you got me for Christmas," NATO said sarcastically."I'm sure its still full!" America joked."I'm going to chug it.""How about we don't-""No.""Alright then!" America gave a strangled laugh and hung up."I wonder where he's stuck at?" He mumbled to himself. He looked out his window. Traffic was moving a few inches faster in that lane. His eyes widened as he saw a familiar car stop next to him."Hey Nate!" He laughed, rolling down his window. The car beside him rolled down its window too to reveal the one and only NATO.NATO glared at him as he ever so slowly rolled his window back up."Someone's salty!" America shouted. NATO's lip twitched."If I had known we'd both be here I would have suggested a car pool!""As if I'd ever car pool with you! You would kill us both!""Lies! I'm an awesome driver!""NJ says that too!""He's drunk half the time!""That's funny, I've never seen him with a bottle!""He's drunk on rage!" America laughed as NATO finally grinned."Look at that, traffic is starting to move! See you later!" NATO smiled cheekily."Bastard!""Byeeeee," NATO rolled up his window fully. America chuckled and shook his head. Damn, did he love that boy.RING RING RING"Goddamn! Today is just hopping with phone calls!" He exclaimed."Whaddup bitch," he greeted."We got an issue," West Virginia said quickly. America's expression darkened."What kind of problem?" He asked slowly, dread creeping up his spine."A bloodied boy is in my house!" West Virginia shouted."Have you tried calling the cops?" America pinched the bridge of his nose. This wasn't good at all."Well, no" he said. "But you know how that typically goes!""Just call the cops dammit!""But-""I ain't go' time fo' dis!" America's accent severely thickened as he yelled at the state."Jus' listen-""Fuckin' deal wit it!" America hung up.This was great. Fantastic in fact. Absolutely supurb, one might say.He slammed his head yet again on the steering wheel. He probably had brain damage at this point. And if the steering wheel was alive, he would be in prison for domestic violence.RING RING RING"FOR FUCKS SAKE!" He shouted."State your business and state it quick," he growled."Where's Prussia?" Germany responded, equally aggressive."The fuck if I know!" That was partially true, he didn't know if the police had already showed up at West Virginia's house."But you do know!""No, I don't! I really fucking don't!""fuckin useless piece of-" Germany grumbled before cutting himself off. "I will get Russia involved.""Sure you will," America rolled his eyes."I'm actually serious United States, just tell me where he is and no one else will get involved," he warned."One, I already told you. I. Don't. Know. Two, no one else will get involved. Three, fuck off," America seethed. His doctor was not going to be happy with the increase in blood pressure."Fuck is your favorite word isn't it?" Germany scoffed. "I'm calling russia, auf wiedersehn."And with that Germany hung up.America shook his head. Partly to stop the throbbing in his temple, partly to waive the incredibly tempting thoughts of murder. The longer he sat there, staring aimlessly into traffic, the more his guilt increased. No matter how much he tried to push it down, it clawed at his insides. His mind desperately attempted to come up with excuses for his actions. It was to serve a greater goal, he was exempt from the rules, morals were for the weak.Ba-ding!A little message popped onto his phone. 'Give me my phone gringo'"FUCK"
