It was a normal day around the shared house. Shu was currently using his phone playing a game when suddenly a loud voice boomed around the house. This startled the Omega, quickly sitting up and looking around. He peeked outside of his room and saw every Lucubs running in a panic.
"Excuse me, did something happen?" He asked
"Oh master Shu. The Don called all the servants and Lucubs for a sudden meeting" the maid informed before she quickly excused herself and went to the hallway.
Shu looked at the railing and saw Luca at the entrance of the hallway, his arms crossed, eyes glaring at each and every Lucubs and servants all lined up.
"Tell me! Who dares do such a crime!?" His voice boomed loud and clear, startling Shu together with all Lucubs and servants.
Shu worriedly walked down the stairs gaining everyone's attention including Luca. Luca's eyes then soften seeing Shu approaching him. He opened his arm and let the smaller lad hug him worriedly.
"Luca, did something happen?" Shu whispered his face leaning on the crook of Luca's scent gland.
Luca dismisses everyone leaving him and Shu at the hallway. As everyone finally disappeared, Shu pulled away from the hug, still worried why his Alpha was furious.
"Hey Shu, how was your day?" Luca asked placing a kiss on Shu's forehead
"It was alright. Wait, this is not about me. What happened? I was startled by your loud voice and then the maid told me you are summoning everyone here."
"Why don’t we head to the bedroom first, yeah?” He kissed his forehead before letting him go to remove his fur coat and hat. The head butler grabs it as he watches the Don escort his mate back to their shared room.
As soon as the couple was in their shared room Shu watched Luca sit down on the edge of the bed and the frown didn't leave his face. Shu was really worried seeing one of his Alpha furious clearly mad at someone.
“Luca, what happened you haven’t answered me.”
Luca sighs, “Promise me you will not laugh.”
Shu tilted his head, “Okay, Will you tell me now?”
“Shu… someone ate my cheddar cheese pringles” Luca looked up at Shu giving him his best puppy dog eyes.
Shu blinked his eyes once, twice before understanding what Luca said. Luca was still staring at Shu with his big doe puppy dog eyes. Shu walked closer to his mate and held his face.
“Will you get mad at the person who ate your cheddar cheese pringles?” Shu asked, caressing Luca’s cheek as he watched the mafioso boss lean on his hands.
“I would punish them. How dare they eat my cheddar cheese pringles!”
Shu tried not to shudder hearing the venom on Luca’s voice. He leans down and places a chaste kiss on the blonde’s nose, feeling too guilty.
He took a deep breath, “I’m sorry Luca. It was me who ate it. I didn't know that it was yours” Shu whispered
Luca’s eyes widened hearing the sudden confession from his lover. Shu pulled away and gave Luca a somber smile, Luca on the other hand, was still completely frozen upon hearing the confession.
“Luca? Are you alright?” Shu asked worriedly
“Y-You’re the one who ate my cheddar cheese pringles?” Luca whispered in disbelief.
Shu's heart clenched seeing the look of disbelief from his Alpha “Luca, I'm sorry. I'll try to make it up to you.”
Luca let out a sigh, “Hey Shu, can you leave me alone? I want to be left alone.” He then stood up and left their shared room leaving Shu alone.
The omega whimpered as tears slowly fell down on his face. He didn't know it would lead to this. He shouldn’t have eaten the cheddar cheese pringles when he saw it. Shu felt truly guilty, he quickly went out of their shared room and headed to his own room and locked it. He didn't want anyone to know he was crying.
I made Luca angry and I made him furious. What should I do? He was so mad.
Shu continued to cry, his arms wrapped around himself seeking comfort.
'Shu, are you alright?'
Shu was startled hearing Box's voice.
'Box? But shouldn't you be out? How can you mind link with me now?'
Box chuckled,
'Silly boy. We already mated and of course you already accepted us which means we can mind link you anytime and anywhere. Though you can still block us if you want to. Now, what made you cry? Hikarino told me he suddenly heard you crying but you're blocking him off which worries him'
Shu whimpered,
'I-I'm sorry. Luca just got mad at me.'
This piqued the interest of the wolf,
'Did you two have an argument?'
'No, I ate his cheddar cheese pringles.'
Box stayed quiet for a couple of minutes before sighing. Shu on the other hand felt more guilty hearing the Alpha's wolf clearly getting tired by something.
'Oh Shu. Luca has always treasured his cheddar cheese pringles. He would literally kill anyone that dared steal his favorite snack. It's similar to the time Luca almost punched Rias for daring to eat his pringles right in front of him'
Box sighs just remembering. It made Box's feel like he was seeing two big babies fighting over food.
'I didn't know and also when I asked Mysta he said it was alright to eat it which I did when I was looking for a snack. Box, what should I do? I don't want Luca to be upset but he wants to be alone now when I want to apologize. What should I do?'
Box feels bad for their mate hearing him continue to sniffles and in distress. Right now, they can't go back to the Kaneshiro mansion as Vox was accompanying Ike to one of his book signings, whereas Mysta is currently on a mission assisting the VSF that will take him a week to finish. He wanted to scold Luca for making Shu cry and he just thought of the best punishment for their youngest mate.
'Don't cry now my boy, it hurts me just hearing you cry where we cannot even comfort you.'
Box then smirks, 'S
hu why don't you go out for now.'
'Huh? But-'
'Just head out and relax in a cafe before you can buy Luca his cheddar cheese pringles as compensation. I'll call Fulgur to ask Uki to accompany you and don't let Luca or the servants know where you are going.'
Shu was worried at what Box was suggesting him,
'But that'll worry-'
'Don't worry I'll tell him. Just get ready and enjoy your relaxation with Uki okay?'
Shu just hums making Box smile,
'That's my boy. Take care Shu. And stop worrying Hikarino. I'm starting to feel bad for our mate's wolf.'
Shu giggled,
'I will make up with him. Thank you Box. You guys be careful there. Love you.'
'Love you too our precious omega'
The wolf just chuckled, before he bid goodbye to their mate. Shu then apologized to a sulking Hikarino who was whining at his human for just suddenly blocking their mind link which worries him.
Shu tried to sneak out of the house but before he could open the front door, Augustus tackled him, making him yelp and fall down on the floor.
"Wha- Augustus" Shu giggled petting the big lion.
"Did Luca perhaps order you to watch over me?" He asked as he stood up patting his clothes
The lion roared as if to confirm Shu's assumption. Shu then gives Augustus a half smile before he leans his forehead on the lion.
"Don't tell this to Luca okay? I'll be going out but Box will tell him about it okay?"
Augustus purred before he sat down and watched Shu as he left the house bidding the lion a farewell.
The head butler who heard this was about to report to Luca but soon received a phone call. Upon answering the call, the head butler followed the order not wanting to anger one of the Don's mates. As the call ended the head butler just sighed before calling for Augustus who was still looking at the door where Shu had left.
Luca who was currently at his room, pulled at his hair feeling frustrated at how he just left Shu alone in their shared room and the pained look from their omega felt like his heart was being ripped.
'I told you not to do that to our mates. This is the 2nd time you made someone cry because of them eating your cheddar cheese pringles.'
Kanekuro mocked making Luca whine louder
'Shut up! You know how I love those and I will definitely kill anyone who eats them without permission.'
'Now look where it got you. You made our Shu upset.'
'Don't rub it in my face already. I feel bad already.'
Kanekuro snickers at Luca who lets out a groan,
'Just go back to the shared room and apologize. It's not that hard.'
'Easy for you to say, you're not the one who made him cry.'
Kanekuro laughs boisterously,
'oh, I definitely made him cry in bed though'
Luca got flustered hearing Kanekuro's laugh before cutting off their mind link. Luca didn't really like seeing their mate cry unless it's on bed.
I feel like a total asshole! I even heard Shubert whimpering when I left him alone. Argh!!! He's definitely crying. *sigh* I should probably just apologize.
With a newly found determination, he quickly left his room and headed to their shared room. Upon opening the door, Shu was nowhere to be found, this made the blonde panic as he quickly ran to Shu's room opening, only to see it also was empty.
Luca called for the head butler but Augustus stopped Luca which surprised the Mafia boss.
"Augustus, why are you blocking me?! Shu is nowhere to be found, get out of my way."
Augustus growled, preventing his master from calling the head butler. This increases Luca's frustration, where their mate is. He tried calling their mates but they just said that they didn't know. He tried to mind link their wolves but their answer is the same as their humans.
Where are you Shu? I can't even mind link him or Hikarino. They're blocking me
Luca let out a frustrated sigh, as he grabbed his hair hating himself for what he did.
'Kuro help me. Shu's missing! and I can't mind link with Hikarino'
he cried at his wolf
Kanekuro clicked his tongue
'You idiot. I already warned you about this Luca.'
He sighed,
'I'll try to mind link the others. Try to think where would our soulmate be'
~At a Local Cafe~
Uki finally returned back to their seat and noticed how Shu was still looking down feeling guilty. The omega shakes his head as he places their order on the table. He then sat beside the ravenette haired, he was mind linked by Box informing him of what happened but what made Uki agree to the Alpha's plan was because Luca made Shu cry.
"Shu cheer up already" Uki whined as he leaned on the still sulking Omega.
"But-"
Uki pouts, "No buts. One of your Alpha's told me to keep you company and I did. You know I won't say no when it comes to you."
Shu smiled, "Thank you Uki for always being there for me."
Uki felt like his heart was shot by an arrow making the purple haired omega to hug his friend nuzzling his cheek with his.
"I just want to bring you back home where we live together. I miss you. Should I kidnap you away from your Alpha's?" Uki smirked making Shu laugh
"Don't tease them too much, Uki. You made Mysta cry already when you "kidnap" me. Rias had to force control just to calm his frantic human."
"Excuse me. I didn't kidnap you. Hikarino and I decided to have a nice date because a certain someone was too exhausted for having an orgy party with four wolves." Uki sassed
Shu got flustered and covered his face, "Please don't say it that loud. Their wolves got jealous when Hikarino decided to have a date with them."
Uki hums, "Your Alpha's are possessive and even fight each other. You're loved aren't you" he teased, poking Shu's cheek.
Shu pouts, "Uki you're having too much fun teasing me right now. Did you and Fulgur fight again?"
"Nah, Fuu-chan is too nice to argue with me. Also, this isn't about me but rather you. Why did Box just randomly mind link me and bug me to accompany you? Did Luca did something stupid again?"
He stared at the ravenette who looked down, "I think I upsetted Luca. He was so furious…"
Uki clicked his tongue at the mention of the Alpha as he started to notice Shu getting teary just remembering it.
"That bitch. I already warned him not to make you cry. Let me give him another smack in the face"
Shu panicked when he saw Uki standing up, "Uki calm down. It was my fault I ate his cheddar cheese pringles without permission"
Uki stared at Shu wondering if the omega was joking or not. But seeing how guilty he truly is he can tell that the cause of this was because of a mere potato chip.
"Let me get this straight… Luca got mad at you because you ate his pringles? Is that it?"
Shu nodded with a pout on his lips. Uki let out an exasperated sigh before sitting back down on their seat.
"I will definitely smack that idiot. Here I thought you did something worse for him to act like that but it's just because of a mere chip!? A MERE POTATO CHIP!?"
Shu flinched at the sudden loud voice of the purple haired omega. Uki was seething in annoyance at Luca for upsetting Shu because of a potato chip.
"Uki don't get mad at Luca it was my fault" Shu tried to reason out.
"No! Now I finally understood Box. This will definitely punish him. And don't you dare answer his calls or text or his mind link! Block him, this should make him learn his lesson."
Shu doesn't really want to do it. But seeing how Uki was so furious at Luca, he himself is scared. Uki may be an omega but he can murder someone when he want to.
"C'mon let's go out and have fun. I can already tell you want to buy your lover the chips you ate as an apology"
Uki stood up and grabbed Shu's hand as they walked out of the cafe. Shu didn't even get to protest as he let the purple haired omega drag him around the mall.
The sun was already setting and Luca still had no luck in finding Shu. He tried ordering his Lucubs but they were informed by Box not to let their Boss out of the house nor be neared to the head butler.
Luca was getting so frustrated that he cannot reach out to their omega. He tried reaching out to Vox only to be scolded by the oldest Alpha.
"I said I'm sorry already." Luca pout sulking
"Luca You twat mate! I already told you about this. This is the nth time in a row you did this and now you did this to our omega! Our precious Omega!"
Luca whimpered as Kanekuro snickered on his mind. Vox just continues to scold the youngest Alpha not until Ike joins the conversation.
"Vox, I think that's enough scolding at Luca. He's clearly regretting it now."
"Ike I love you so much but stop babying Luca so much. Remember the time he almost killed Rias and Eki just eating his pringles. There's even another time that Mysta was just teasing him, he almost drowned the lad! And now you're telling me that's enough scolding when he made Shu cry now he doesn't even know where he is."
Luca whimpered once more upon hearing that their mate was not at the shared house. Luca can clearly hear the sigh from the background fully understanding that Ike was getting tired about this.
"That's why I am asking if Shu had reached out to you guys. I tried calling his phone but it was off, I tried to mind linking him and Hikarino but they're blocking me. I tried to order the head butler but Augustus was growling at me as if he's preventing me from getting close to him. My very own lion is being mean to me as if I did such a horrible crime." Luca whined.
"Clearly Augustus knows you made Shu cry and is punishing you" Vox response, rolling his eyes.
"Vox! Stop being sarcastic. Listen Luca, just give Shu a break or an alone time, you did hurt him by just brushing him off just because of a pringles and-"
"It's not just a pringles Ikey wikeeeey. It's cheddar cheese pringles'' Luca cut him off
Ike let out another sigh, "As I was saying, just let Shu have his alone time and reflect on what you did"
"UNPOG! I wanna apologize and share my cheddar cheese pringles with him." Luca cried
"Luca, listen he'll be back okay. Just trust me." Ike soothe the now crying Alpha
"Ikey, where is Shu? I want to know please tell me if you know something."
It hurts both Vox and Ike hearing the youngest Alpha crying and literally begging just to know where their precious Omega is. But before the two could respond Luca heard the opening and also an all too familiar voice he quickly cut the mind link and rushed outside. Luca looked down from the second floor and saw at the entrance hallway Shu smiling as Augustus welcomed back the omega who was smiling and petting him happily.
He's home. He didn't run away. He came back.
Luca felt relief when he saw their soulmate back and not hurt. He was about to greet the said Omega but then he suddenly stopped himself and remembered what he had done earlier. He decided to just walk back to his room after all he saw that their omega was safe and sound.
Shu was welcomed by both Augustus and the head butler. The head butler gave him an update of what happened in the house which makes the omega worried.
"What did the others say?" He asked
"Master Vox's wolf, Master Box, informed every Lucubs not to let out the boss or approach me, even Augustus here was growling at the young boss."
Shu looks at Augustus, "That's bad Augustus please don't do it again."
The lion just looks away, clearly not guilty with what he's done. Shu just chuckles before informing the head butler he'll just check on his mate, he then tells Augustus to stay in his den. The lion just purred, which satisfied Shu before he headed upstairs and went straight to Luca's room. Standing in front of the Mafia boss’ room Shu felt nervous.
'I'm worried about Luca still getting mad at me Hikari'
'It's alright Shu he will forgive you.'
'But-'
'Shu, Luca might have been upset but when he knew we were gone and hadn't heard about our whereabouts might have already terrified him. It'll be fine. Trust me'
Shu exhaled before knocking on the door, when he didn't receive any responses he knocked again before turning the knob he tried looking for the Alpha but saw no one on the bed. He entered his room and suddenly Shu got startled when he suddenly felt a presence looming behind him and a pair of arms wrapped around him.
"Lu-Luca are you-"
"I'm sorry Shu. I'm sorry for making you cry and hurting you. Just please… don't leave like that again. I'm sorry."
Shu didn't know how to react. He was so flabbergasted at what's happening. He then felt something wet on his shoulder. Shu tried to move but Luca just tightened his grip as if he let go, Shu would disappear from his grasp once again.
"Luca, why are you crying? Did something happen? Can you give me a small space so I can look at you?"
Luca didn't comply at first but hearing Shu plead made him follow and allow the Omega to face him, Shu saw how Luca's fringe covered his eyes. He dropped the plastic he was carrying ignoring the noise as his hand slowly reached out and brushed away the fringe covering his eyes and there he saw Luca's eyes filled with tears.
"Luca, why are you crying? Is it because of what I did? I'm really sorry, please don't cry, I already bought you-"
"I don't care about that!"
Hearing Luca shout startled Shu it's been a while since he last heard Luca shout. Luca stared at his mate who was looking at him with worry and confusion.
"I don't care about that Shu. You suddenly disappeared after I left you alone… crying in the shared room… it reminded me of that time where I-"
Shu hugged the crying Mafioso, "Shhh. That's all in the past Luca let's not talk about it please. We already reconcile about our past. Now, let's not talk about it. Okay baby?” Shu then left a chaste kiss on the Mafioso lips before pulling away.
“I'm sorry for suddenly leaving and even eating your cheddar cheese pringles. Please don't cry anymore, it hurts me just seeing you look so broken right now"
Shu strokes Luca's cheeks before pulling him down for a kiss. The Mafioso pulled the shorter male closer to him, responding to Shu’s kiss as if it would be their last one. Pulling away with a string of saliva attaching them, Shu gave his Alpha a small smile as he wiped his tears away.
He then escorted the blonde to sit at the edge of his bed as he explained everything, hearing what Box did the Mafiaso decided to mindlink the wolf but he only got another earful from the Oldest wolf making Luca whine at Shu that both Vox and Box just scolded him today.
Box was glad that their Omega was smiling and before he cut the mind link Luca got one last threat from the wolf which made Luca whine. Kanekuro then started teasing his human which made Luca sulk more.
"Why do my mates, even my wolf, pick on me! I said I was sorry already" Kuca sulks his lips pouting, arms crossed like a baby throwing a tantrum.
Shu giggled before patting the blonde's head. Shu then notices a sudden change in Luca, he notices the hair slowly changing to black, he smiles as he sees Kanekuro take control.
"Welcome home doll" Kanekuro caresses his cheeks before placing a soft kiss on his lips.
"I'm home Kuro. Please don't tease Luca anymore, he must have been upset already."
"Serves him right. I already warned him yet he didn't learn now look where it got him."
'I SAID I WAS SORRY AND WHY DID YOU TAKE CONTROL!?'
"Shut your trap, I am having a moment with our mate."
'UNPOG! HIKARI'
Luca whines
'Kuro is being a meanie'
“Oi! Do not drag Hikari here.” Kanekuro scolded
‘I feel bad for Luca. He must have received such an scolding already from both Vox and Box’
“Kanekuro gives him some slacks, Box and Vox already give him an earful and you even find it amusing.” Shu pointed out as the black haired Mafioso just chuckle
“It’s his punishment doll. After all, he did make you cry. Even if he is my human, making you and Hikari cry is out of the question. I will make anyone regret it.”
Both Shu and Hikarino awed before Hikarino comforted their human Alpha. Soon enough Kanekuro returned back letting his human take over, Shu smiled welcoming back the blonde who hugged him once again.
"Are you alright now?" Shu asked as he continues to stroke the blonde's hair
Luca hummed burying his face on Shu's neck eliciting a mewl from the Omega, Luca purred hearing the sound from his mate.
“I love you baby”
Shu giggled, “I love you too.”
“POG!”
Shu laughs as Luca nuzzles deeper on Shu’s neck whereas the Omega just continues to caress the Alpha’s head letting his mate just relax within his embrace. Luca never let go of Shu even when the smaller male tried to remind him about the abandoned cheddar cheese pringles on the floor, Luca just told him to forget about it as he just wants to embrace Shu and who is Shu to reject his big and adorable Alpha. Shu hums before he hugs his Alpha back engulfing himself with the warmth and scent of his Alpha.
