Short after Robby's birth, Shannon left. She left Johnny to deal with a kid, alone. She knew Johnny was grieving. She knew he just lost his mother in the same hospital. But she still left. Fucking coward. Robby's first word was "dada". It made Johnny cry. He was so happy. He didn't need Shannon. He had his friends. They were enough. When Robby was two, Johnny met Daniel again. He lost him back in college. He loved Daniel. Seeing him again made him realise he'll always love him. Daniel looked like he wasn't sleeping for a week. And Johnny was almost right. In a whole week Daniel slept only 8 hours. He was taking care of his kids while his wife decided she won't do a single thing. Daniel was so beautiful. Even when he cried. He hugged Daniel, and they both felt like nothing changed. They kissed. When Robby was three, he started asking about his mommy. About where she is and why she's never here. Johnny went pale. But his Danny saved him, as always, and told Robby that he has Johnny and him. That his mommy just can't be here right now. But he's sure she loves Robby and thinks about him all the time. And that's where Daniel had to lie. In a second, Robby forgot about this and started playing with Sam, watching to not wake Anthony. And that's when Johnny knew. He wants Daniel in his life forever. He doesn't want to let him go. And he proposed a week later.  When Robby was four, Johnny and Daniel got married. Robby and now his step-siblings were happy for their parents. After a few months, Robby said it.     "Mommy, will you play with us?" he looked at Daniel. And this was the first time when neither of them knew what to say. Not Daniel or Johnny. They just looked at Robby, whom felt uncomfortable. "Did I say something wrong?" his eyes were one time on his daddy and one, according to him, his mommy.     "No, no, honey. So, what are we playing? Do you want daddy to come, too?" Jesus, Daniel Lawrence is perfect. Every inch of his body is perfect. His personality - perfect. Johnny felt like they're back in '84 and he's falling in love with sweet Jersey punk all over again.      "Only if daddy won't cheat this time." Their kid said and stamped his foot.     "Sweetie, I never cheat. I'm just a champion." Johnny laughed and Robby smiled and hugged his dad's leg.     "Not true, daddy. But you can come. Oh, and Tony woke up and is pulling Sam's hair."      "What?! Wait for me and set everything up!" said Daniel and ran to their children. He knew Samantha was going to hit her little brother for it and Anthony will cry for half an hour. Johnny just laughed and lifted Robby from the ground.      "Daddy! I'm a big man. I don't need you to carry me!" the child squeaked and giggled.     "You're always gonna be my little boy, Robby." he kissed Robby's forehead and headed the way Daniel ran. When Robby was five, he wasn't calling Daniel "mommy" anymore. But Daniel was "papa" now. He was important to both Robby and his dad. They were a happy family. Robby was happy to have younger siblings. He loved playing with them and always thought it was funny to watch Sam getting angry with their little brother. When Robby was six, he met his mother. Johnny and Daniel didn't know she's back in town. He was going to be picked up by uncle Bobby and uncle Jimmy since Sam and Anthony were sick. But this blonde lady kept screaming at his teacher that she's his mother and she has a right to pick him up. Robby was crying. And the teacher did not know what to do. She always thought it was only Johnny and Daniel. She wanted to call one of them to ask, but was afraid to leave her with Robby. And that's were Robby noticed his uncles, so he ran to them.     "Robert! Get back here, damnit!" he heard his mother scream and the teacher stopping her from running after the little boy. "Don't touch me, you bitch!"     "What the- Shannon?" asked Jimmy and let Bobby grab Robby into his arms.     "Jim! It's so good to see you guys! Could you please tell me why this bitch will not let me take Robby? I was going to call John, but my phone died, so I thought I was gonna pick Robby up and then-"     "Shut up, Shannon. You scare Robby. You weren't here for years. Johnny was. Remember? You left him at this fucking hospital. Alone and grieving. He's happy now. Don't you dare ruin that to him? Robby has two parents. He doesn't need you." Jimmy let himself say that since his husband took Robby to their car to calm him down and call Johnny. "This lady will not let him go with you, because you are not on the list. Johnny is. His partner, too. I am. Bobby is. Dutch and Tommy, too. Even Ali and Jess. Daniel's mom is. But not you. You left. Get out before I'll call a fucking police. You didn't show up to court when it was about who's gonna have Robby. Johnny won. You don't care. Get. Out." Jimmy was going to say, but Shannon only said she's going to talk to Johnny about this and went off. Jimmy apologised to the teacher and told her that the next time she'll see Shannon Keene here, she should call the police.     "Robby, it's okay, shhh." Bobby tried to calm down the boy.     "I want daddy." he kept crying. And when, after ten minutes, he noticed Johnny run up to him from his car to hug him, he hid in his dad's arms. "Daddy, it hurts." he said and his dad kissed the top of his head. "She is so scary. I don't want her. I want you, daddy. I want her to disappear."     "I know, baby, I know. I'm so sorry you had to see this." Johnny wished he could erase it from Robby's little head. But he can't. Damn you, Shannon. After that, Robby was never so happy.  When Robby was seven, he had to go to see a therapist. Since his first meeting with his mother, he was not been happy anymore. Sometimes he smiled or laughed, but it was rare. He loved his parents and still admired them, but he just couldn't be happy knowing his mom didn't give a shit about him. He still talked, but less. He loved his step-siblings, but wasn't playing with them so often anymore. When Robby was eight, it was better. He was smiling more, laughing more, talking more. He played with his siblings more. But he still felt empty inside. Kept lying about being happy inside, too. When Robby was nine, he met Shawn. His parents didn't like Shawn. But Robby did. And it was the first time he hurt Daniel.     "Pick you up after school?" asked Daniel and looked at his stepson.     "No. I'm going to play with Shawn." Shawn was twelve and problematic. Like I mentioned, Robby's parents did not like him.     "Robby-"     "Don't. It's not like you're my dad." he said and left the car. And that broke Daniel's heart. And that made Robby hate himself more. He knew he hurt Daniel, but he won't say sorry. When Robby was ten, he stole a candy bar from a store. At least he tried, 'cause he got caught. Johnny was never so dissapointed in him. And that made Robby hate himself more. When Robby was eleven, he got into a fight with Shawn. Thirteen-year-old said bad words about his parents. No one talks badly about Johnny and Daniel.  When Robby was twelve, he was his old self again. He felt good; it was good.      "Papa?" he asked when Johnny went to help Sam with homework.     "Hm?"     "I'm sorry. For what I said. Didn't want to say it. I was just angry all the time. I love you. You're not my bio dad, but you are dad. I love you. I'm so sorry."     "I know, sweetie." he hugged young boy.     "I love you."     "I love you, too." When Robby was thirteen, he asked his dad to teach him some karate. Johnny was happy to do that. When Robby was fourteen, he met his first boyfriend. He didn't tell his parents about him since Jake was 16. But Sam knew. And she asked him to end it. He didn't. Jake was the first guy he fucked. When Robby was fifteen, he fucked even more guys. Always with a condom. Sam didn't like it. She asked him, but he didn't listen. When Robby was sixteen, he did drugs for the first time. And that was Sam's line. She told their parents.      "Robby, you crossed a fucking line! I trusted you!" Johnny was yelling and Robby was crying.     "I'm sorry, dad. I'm so sorry." he whispered.     "Sorry?! Now you're sorry?! Your sister was covering for you way too long!"     "John! Stop it! He said he's sorry!"     "But-"     "He is not Shannon. He's a fucking teenager. He needs to rebel."     "But drugs?"     "John, go upstairs and cool off." said Daniel. "Robby, he didn't mean it."     "I know, pa."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

When Robby was seventeen, his relationship with Johnny only got worse. He reopened Cobra Kai, which caused Robby's parents to fight. Apparently, Cobra Kai hurt his dad a lot and even uncle Dutch couldn't understand why his dad did it. And uncle Dutch was always on Johnny's side. He and his siblings didn't know what to do. They were scared that their parents will divorce. Their parents didn't talk to each other with dad sleeping on a couch. It's been like this for weeks now. They were hoping it'll pass, but it didn't. So, one day Robby's went to Cobra Kai and talk with his father about this. It couldn't last longer. They would divorce if it did. But he never got to talk with his dad. He saw him with the new kid, Miguel. His dad gave him the gi he once promised to Robby.
"Daddy? What is it?" The eight-year-old pointed at Johnny's old gi.

"Oh, it's my old gi. When you grow up, it will be yours." and then he explained what gi is.
Robby was furious. This kid had already taken Eli and Demetri from him. Robby was devastated. He started hanging out with Shawn again. Robby couldn't handle it. He did drugs again. And again. And again. Was he addicted? Maybe, he has no idea. Was he like his mom? Probably. After all, she is his mother and he can't escape it. One time, he saw his mother at one of places he did drugs in. But he didn't recognize her. He was too high. And this time, she was mature about it. She took him from there, but he kept thinking that she's some girl, but did nothing. She took him home. She didn't have to knock on the door, as Sam just opened it so she could go to Aisha's.     "Robby? Dad!" she screamed. "Who the hell are you?!" she yelled while Daniel got to the door.     "Shannon? What the fuck are you doing here? Sam, take your brother to the living room, lay him on a couch." Samantha listened. "What are you doing here?"     "I was in... Uh, I was doing drugs, okay? But Robby... He wasn't supposed to be there! He's so high he thought I'm some chick but is so high and tried nothing. Where is Johnny? He was supposed to take care of him! You want him to end up like I did?!"     "No, of course not! Why would you think that?! John is not here. I'll call him. Thank you."     "Just... Take care of him, alright? Whatever got Johnny so distracted, Robby feels it. That's probably why he started doing it. He wants his attention." And with that, she was gone, again. Daniel dialed his husband's number and prayed John would pick up.     "Daniel, if you call to tell me it was a bad idea-"     "Robby's doing drugs. He's high. John, please, come home. We need you. Please."     "Give me ten minutes." and he hung up. Meanwhile, in dojo, Johnny dismissed kids.     "Sensei, is everything okay?" Miguel asked once everyone else left.      "Yes, just gotta go home. Robby's... He's not feeling well." Johnny came up with an excuse.     "Oh, I hope he'll get on his feet fast. Being sick sucks. Good day, Sensei." he said and left. And Johnny rushed home.     "Where is he?" Johnny ran into the house.     "John, calm down." said Daniel and came up to his husband.     "How could I miss it, Daniel? How could I? I was supposed to protect him." Tears flooded Johnny. It broke Daniel's heart.     "You weren't the only one who missed this. He's my kid, too. I... We need to help him, John. It's our fault. Before that stupid fight he was fine." they both cried now. And so did Sam. She was sitting next to her now sleeping brother and cried. She should say something. She knew something was wrong with Robby. But they all were not in the best place after their parents' fight. At least Anthony's at their grandma's in New Jersey and didn't see it. God, I'm such a bad sister, she thought.      "We'll deal with this." she finally said something and got up to hug her parents. She hugged them tightly and didn't want to let go. "We'll help him. He's strong, he only got lost." she said, letting her parents go. "But both of you need to talk it out. You're no help if you won't. And you both know it. I'll stay with him." and so they went. And then they got Robby the help he needed.  For several weeks, Johnny was mopey while teaching those kids, or didn't do the class at all. Robby was with him sometimes, when there was no one home. But he didn't practice. He just sat quietly in his dad's office. He didn't trust himself. After some time, Miguel said something to him. And that's when Robby realised that Miguel's not that bad. And he's so fucking hot. They became friends. When Robby was eighteen, Miguel kissed him for the first time. It felt amazing. They already knew everything about each other, so the kiss was only the matter of time. He loved Miguel. And Miguel loved him. His parents and siblings were proud of him. Miguel's family loved him, too. And Robby loved them. He even talked with his mom sometimes, but never called her that. It was always Shannon. Because for Robby, Daniel will always be his mom, even though he calls him "papa". When Robby was nineteen, Miguel proposed. And, obviously, Robby said yes. He was happy. When Robby was twenty, they got into a fight. They would break it off if it wasn't for Tory and Sam. His sister talked with him, and Tory talked with Miguel. And then they talked it out.  When Robby was twenty-one, uncle Tommy passed away. Shortly after him, uncle Dutch died in a car accident. It hurt. His dad wasn't saying anything for a whole week and his papa was sad. It hurt them all. When Robby was twenty-two, he married Miguel. He wished uncle Dutch and uncle Tommy were here.  When Robby was twenty-three, he and Miguel adopted twins. He was happy, and that's all he needed.
