"I could cut it," Boudica offered to Lhiannon. The hasty sawing at her tunic-hem this morning, to tear bandaging for Arduna's wounds, felt very much longer ago than within the same day. But Boudica kept her dagger sharp. It would cut her hair as well as it had the cloth."No need," Lhiannon said. Her fingers were gentle in Boudica's tangled hair. A service and an example, Boudica felt, sensing the meaning in how Lhiannon touched her. Lhiannon's own hair was as snarled, and would need as careful combing; such required patience.
