"Uh. Sheik?""Yes, Link?"Link stared incredulously at the snapping jaws full of jagged teeth just feet away from himself. His eyes followed its too-long tongue as it licked the air, disgust growing on his face as thick drool dripped from its bulbous maw.It hissed at him.He took a step back."That plant-" and he knew it was a plant; it had raggedy leaves, its body seemed to be a sentient, flexible stem allowing it to lunge at its prey from a distance- "has teeth.""Mm, yes they do that."He wanted to say they didn't use to, but a memory from a time that felt aeons ago tickled at his subconscious. Plants have always been monsters, it seemed."Is it. Is it smiling?""Does it matter? Kill it so we can continue onwards, if we let every monster hold us back then Hyrule is truly doomed."Despite the fact it was attempting to tear chunks from his limbs, Link still felt a sliver of guilt as the master sword severed its head from its stem.It only took one bite from another of its kind to change his mind.
