all marcus could do was sit still as he sat in an unfamiliar place that he never really ends up in, the hospital.
but what he did not understand was that he could not hear from his right ear at all.
he could barely hear from his left ear however.
he looked around the room, seeing the greyish blue walls and the unusually large window.
he then noticed that his mom, dad and sister on the other side of the window talking to a doctor, who was using sign language."is my son ok?" ellen questioned whilst signing what she had just said.
"Yes, but i do have have some bad news." the doctor answered.
"what is the bad news?" clint signed.
"due to the accident, his right ear has gone deaf permanently whilst his left ear is still able to hear but barely which is also permanent." the doctor answered, still signing.marcus saw what the doctor signed and also saw his family burst into tears.
he could also feel tears stream down his face.

marcus sat in the hospital bed.
he would regularly get food and drinks from the doctors and nurse and his bed would be regularly changed or checked up on.
it had been two weeks and his family have been the only people that have been visiting him.
he was allowed his phone and every time he looked at it, he could only see the wallpaper of him hanging out with old friends.max opened the door and marcus felt the slight thud of the door and looked up to see his sister.
"hey, bro." max signed.
"hey." marcus signed back.
max walked to his right side and held his hand before letting go and signing "ginny is worried about you."
"she is?" marcus signed back.
"what did she say?" marcus continued signing.
"she was wondering if you are ok, normal girlfriend shtick." max signed back.
"she hasn't messaged me though." marcus signed.
"she is dealing with her mom and all that shit." max responded.
marcus, although he could not hear, could felt his heart skipping many beats.
"for two weeks! for two fucking weeks! what has her mom done that has caused her to keep her busy for two fucking weeks!" marcus signed, feeling a mix of anger and confusion.
"she took her phone for some stupid shit that her mom thought she did." max replied.
marcus picked up the phone and max watched as he messaged ginny which was actually georgia saying..."to ginny's mom, please give ginny back her back her fucking phone as she is very worried about me and she can not contacted me due to you taking her phone away for some shit that might not be her fucking fault. sorry for the many swear words but no one else but my family have been able to see me and ginny really wants to see me after my fucking accident to see if i am fucking ok so please, give her phone back please. from marcus, ginny's fucking boyfriend."after pressing send, he placed his phone down and signed to her saying "let's hope her mom sees that message."

please give ginny back her back her fucking phone as she is very worried about me and she can not contacted me due to you taking her phone away for some shit that might not be her fucking fault. sorry for the many swear words but no one else but my family have been able to see me and ginny really wants to see me after my fucking accident to see if i am fucking ok so please, give her phone back please.
from marcus, ginny's fucking boyfriend."marcus could remember every word of that message.
he would replay it all over in his mind.
though his hearing was gone in his right ear, he could barely hear cars outside the other window that faced the outside world.
this sort of annoyed marcus though as he had spent 2 whole weeks in a hospital bed.suddenly, he could feel a heavy thud from where the door was and he looked over to see ginny standing in the doorway.
he could see her run towards him and suddenly, he felt a somewhat comfortable hug.
as he hugged back, he looked at the doorway, he could see georgia standing there with a look on her face that he known was a sense of acceptance.
he then looked up as ginny finished hugging her and saw her smile.

the hospital doors opened in a quick motion.it had now been about 5 weeks after the accident and now marcus could finally leave the hospital.during the remaining weeks, marcus communicated with ginny using the phone as she hadn't got the chance to learn ASL during those weeks .as he got out of the hospital, he saw ginny standing next to max with his mom and dad.his dad signed "i think it's time to go home."marcus then signed "yea, home sweet home here i come!"

it took a while for marcus to get used to his new life.his dad helped him learning more words that he had not learnt before and also helping him to interact with the surroundings that he knew very well with sound.during this time, ginny learnt how to use sign language to communicate with marcus and when she showed him, he cried and hugged her, feeling proud for his girlfriend.marcus looked at his girlfriend as they both lied on his bed.although school had became a struggle for marcus, ginny was always there for marcus.even his sister would defend him and help him.the two would even team up at points which made marcus proud and happy in a way.ginny looked up at marcus as he shifted closer to him and she smiled at him.he smiled back.[help and love your loved ones, always]
