"That's my blanket...""I'm not taking your blanket, dumbass."Despite being half asleep, Narancia to send a string of curses her way before she decides to drop the heavy comforter directly over his face. He whines loudly, pushing his way out. "Why is this so heavy.""It's weighted. You're going to wake up Mista." Truthfully, there was no way Mista was waking up at this point considering he barely moved an inch after having Narancia dropped halfway on top of him."Oh." He adjusts himself till he's laying comfortably on Mista's chest, letting out a yawn. "You're not going to sleep yet?""Not yet.""You're going to go find your girlfriend?"She narrows her eyes. Even if Narancia's eyes were open, it's too dark in Bucciarati's living room for him to see her flushed cheeks. "Trish isn't my girlfriend.""How'd you know I was talking about her?""Go to sleep, Narancia.""You always make this face at her where you-""I don't make a face. Sleep." She pulls the blanket back over his head, ignoring his complaints as she walks out of the living room. The house is quiet, with Abbacchio and Bucciarati having made their way to their shared bedroom a few hours prior, Narancia and Mista taking up the entirety of the biggest couch, and Giorno and Fugo....well...wherever they tend to disappear to.That leaves one last person in the house for her to find. And it isn't long before she picks up on the faint sound a TV playing and a soft light coming from one of the guest rooms. The door is cracked open just enough for her to see curly pink hair peeking out from behind a bedframe. A laptop sits on the mattress playing a show Sheila doesn't recognize.A part of her doesn't want to disturb the calm that Trish has created in her little corner. But the creaking of the door as she pushes it open to step into the room gives her away. She watches as Trish tilts her head towards the door, listening."So that's where the popcorn went."The girl sitting before her looks over her shoulder briefly, a sleepy smile on her face, before turning back to the laptop. "Hey. Didn't think anyone else was awake.""Couldn't sleep." It's so unlike her to hesitate and yet here she is, each step towards the girl in front of her quiet and careful. "Narancia just knocked out.""Hm, no wonder it got so quiet."Sheila only nods in response, and it becomes quiet again. The only noise to cut through the silence being Trish's soft chewing and the low volume coming from the laptop. The cartoon playing sort of reminds her of the ones Narancia and Mista have shown her before. The two girls on the screen sit side by side on what looks to be a train. The one with brown hair makes no secret of how she's admiring the other."You can sit, you know." Trish uncrosses her legs and moves the popcorn onto her lap, motioning to the spot beside her. "It just started."She nods, climbing onto the bed and taking a seat only inches from where Trish is sitting. Her chest feels warmer - or is it the room?Trish lowers the other half of the blanket onto Sheila's lap and holds the popcorn bowl out to her in a silent offer. She takes a few pieces before the bowl gets placed between them. "What are you watching?""It's called 'Nana'." Trish says in between chews, eyes focused on the two girls on screen. "Everything else that came up as recommended looked lame, I just scrolled until I found it."Sheila hums lowly and they slip into comfortable silence. Surprisingly, Sheila finds herself paying close attention to the screen in front of her, the warmth next to her fading to a simple sweet thought in the back of her mind as the episodes pass."They'd be cute together."She blinks, surprised at the sudden commentary. "Huh?""Them." Trish says, motioning to the screen. "Nana and Hachi, I hope they get together at the end."That warm feeling is back. "Me too."Trish hums in response, her hand moves to grab a few pieces of popcorn; tossing them into her mouth. Sheila watches as she chews, her side profile illuminated by the laptop in front of them."Having a girlfriend would be fun." For a moment, Sheila doesn't register the words coming out of her friend's mouth, her focus pinned to the sudden, yet gentle pressure of Trish's knee now pressed against hers. The bowl of popcorn had been discarded off to the side of the bed. She hadn't even noticed it had been moved."Yeah." She agrees. "It would be."Trish nods, turning back to the laptop. "Good thing we're girlfriends."The room definitely has to be getting warmer."....Wh-""I just decided." She says, all too casually. "Yesterday morning actually."Sheila stares at where their knees connect, neither of them moving away - if anything, Trish seems to have completely relaxed her leg against her own. The sound of the laptop muffled by the sound of her own heartbeat. "We're dating."When she lifts her gaze, Trish is already looking at her out of the corner of her eye, a soft smiling playing at her lips. "You're not actually surprised at all, are you?"She shakes her head. "Just happy."Trish shifts closer, Sheila meeting her halfway, and she rests her head against the other girl's shoulder. "I can tell." She says. "You're making that face again.""What face?""Like you're trying not to smile. It's cute."Her cheeks burn, and she halfway buries her face into soft pink curls. "Do you think Narancia and Mista are dating yet?""Not yet. I'm telling they are during breakfast.""Oh, yes." She lifts her eyebrows in amusement. "How could I forget, it's your job to assign these things."She gets a giggle and a peck on the cheek in response. They sit in comfortable silence as episodes pass. Every so often, Trish will point out something that reminds her of the two of them, and Sheila will nod in agreement as if she hadn’t been dozing off.Until their silence is interrupted by a loud bang coming from the ceiling. They still for a moment, sharing a silent realization that there isn't a second floor to this house."Trish...where are Giorno and F-""Roof.""....""I'll get the first aid kit, check and make sure they're not dead." In an instant the pressure at her side is gone as Trish hurries into the hallway. The warmth stays behind even as she begrudgingly gets up and makes her way to the back door, unlocking it and slipping out as quietly as possible.Just a few feet in front of her is the ladder used to get up onto the roof, laid out across the lawn."The ladder fell." A voice calls out from above. She turns and finds a pair of eyes peering out at her from the roof."I see that.""Did we wake everyone up?" Giorno asks, leaning over the edge enough for Sheila to get a good look at him. He's wearing a purple hoodie that Sheila knows isn't his."No, I was already awake."Fugo appears at Giorno's side, arms noticeably bare. "Just you?" He says it with the slightest hint of disbelief. She narrows her eyes. "Why?""You're making that face agai-""You're doing a really bad job of pretending you aren't freezing."Sheila pays no attention to Fugo's sputtering response or his calls for her to come back and pick up the ladder. She slips back into the house just as Trish appears with the first aid kit, a confused expression on her face."They're fine. No deaths.""Oh." She shrugs, tossing the first aid kit onto a nearby counter. "Should we head to bed?""We probably should." Sheila laughs, taking Trish's hand in her own.
