“Alright, when everyone has gotten their test I want it to be completely silent until the bell chimes, got it? Good luck with your test.”It was a test, not even a big one, a small unimportant one. He didn't even need to get a very high grade just above a four, that wouldn’t be too hard right? He never got under a four, there was no reason to panic, but it didn't help, it didn’t help one bit. The dam had been built over the last hours, mostly, but it had been in progress for days, there was bound to be a flood and of course it had to be during the test, the one period he couldn’t allow it all to break down. “Everyone times up, have a good rest of the day.” He was almost out of the door, just one step more and then he could go to the next period, math, god how he hated it a bunch of numbers, that part was fine but then they had to add letters for some reason. If it wasn't for the hand on his shoulder he would have just gone off to math and things would have stayed as they were.“Ernst, I called you before, were you still too busy thinking about the test?”“No sir, not really”“I thought so.” He pauses for a moment to think over what he wanted to say, the thing that had most likely been lingering in his head that had become shameful the moment it had to escape his mouth. “You don't have anything important next period, do you?”“I have maths”“Good, good,” the man took a breath, a last attempt to end the conversation before he dropped the question, “can you check up on Hanschen? I need to be sure he's okay since he hasn't returned yet. But i have another class this period”“Yeah sure.” He was almost out of the door again before he realized, “Where is Hanschen exactly?”
