Year 1715.

CRASH

. It was a loud bang outside of the Captain's Cabin. Korra awoke from the noise, she got up slowly and sat on the edge of her bed for a few moments. “Dame Pirates.” she said, chuckling a little. She got up and put on her clothes. She went to the small mirror and picked her hat off the paltry sized dresser it was sitting on. It was an all black hat with two distinct feathers that were blue. Apart the contrasted so much but when put together they make this color of blue that is so rare but amazingly beautiful.

Korra reached over and grabbed her cutlass and her set of guns. She positioned her cutlass on each side of her waist and her 4 Golden Flintlock Pistols. 2 straddling her hips above her cutlass and two sitting in their holsters parallel to each other and  her chest. She stepped out of the Captain’s Cabin, ducking as soon as she stepped over the threshold because she almost came face to face with a knife. Luckily she had great reflexes and instead of the knife lodging itself deep into her forehead it got stuck into the wooden post that was behind her. She stood upright again. She smiled at these wild ruffians. She looked across the deck of her brig. She had drunken crew mates off in one corner, gambling in the other, and in the center a crowd circled two guys who were fighting. She loved the freedom that was there. No rules. No responsibilities just her and the open sea, who was the true judgment to see if you were fit enough for this life of freedom and plunder.

She shot a bullet in the air getting the attention of her crew men. “Aye!Avast ye mateys!” She called out. They all started to come and circle around her. She pulled something out of her coat pocket and walked the circle of crewmen smirking. “Do you know what I have here ye guys?” Korra asked, waving the piece of paper in the air.

“No cap’n I don’t” A crew member said with a thick accent. Korra stepped close to him and jacked him up by his shirt and grinned in his face. She turn her head to the side so she can look at the rest of the crew.

“This here is a letter from the King himself.” She said as she rolled off of him but still had a grip on his shirt. Still gripping she walked to the center of the circle.

“This here states that if we do not give of the life of pirating, then they will make us dance the hempen jig. But if we do give it up we can return to the country free and alive, but penniless. “Now what do ye have to say to that? I know what I say to that.” Korra said grinning. “I say we show this King what we’re really made of. I say we march right through that castle of his and take something of his, like he’s trying to do to us. He’s trying to take our life,  our freedom mates!” Korra slid one of her cutlass out of their holister she raised it high in the air. “If you’re with me, mates. Raise em high, raise em proud, raise em for the the life of freedom and plundering!” she let go of her grip from the young buck. You heard the clanging of swords being pulled out of their holsters as the raised in the air.

“YE HO HO!” The crew yelled.

Alright! Tonight we dock in Nassau, fill your belly boys, tonight's the night we celebrate....

Nassau 1715

Korra walked off the boat onto the dock. She saw drunken pirates scattered across the beaches. She walked up to the tavern, greeted by some very, very promiscuous girls. “Captain Korra” One said, running her hands up and down Korra’s abdomen. “ When are you going to show me around that fine ship of yours? I’d especially like to see that Captain's cabin of yours.” She said, whispering the last part in Korra’s ear. Korra couldn't hide the smirk that made its way across her tan face.

“How about later tonight?” Korra said, stepping closer to the whore.

“Perfect.” The whore strode away swaying her hips. Korra shook her head and resumed her descent to the tavern. She walked up the Tavern stairs when she got pulled into a bone crushing hug, she was pulled so fast that her hat fell off.

“Bo. Okay. Bo” She grunted “Can’t breath” he dropped her and she took a deep breath of air

“Sorry Korra, I just got excited.” He said, picking up her hat and dusting it off.

“It's fine Bo. Where’s Mako? I need to talk to him.” Bolin pointed over to the corner where a brooding soul was leaning against the wooden rail of the tavern's deck. She walked over and pulled up a chair sitting backwards in it. “Well ain't you a sight for sore eyes?” she said grinning up at Mako. She looked over at the table to see a drunken man who was passed out with his hand still on his mug. She slapped his hand away and took a big swig of his rum.

“What do you want, Korra?” Mako asked

Korra fiend shock “How do you know I want something Mako?”

He rolled his eyes. “Korra, I know you.”

“Okay, Okay” She reached into her coat pocket for the letter she received from the king and handed it to him. He read through it for a moment.

“He’s coming for us Mako, this isn't just about me it's about all of us. It’s a hunt Mako.”

“I-I don't understand Korra what do you want from me though?” He said looking at Korra confused.

“Mako, he's trying to take away something precious to us. And I think that we need to get him before he gets us.”

“Jaysus Korra! You plan on killing the king?” He exclaimed, which got a few stares from people around them.

“Piss off bilge rats” she said turning to Mako. “Shite Mako, can you be any louder?”

“Sorry Korra, but what are you going to take from him?” Mako asked, sitting down next to Korra.

“I propose we take something of his and hold it ransom.”

“And that something is?” Mako inquired.

“ His beloved Princess.” Korra said smirking

“And how would you go about that? Not to mention without getting caught and hanged.”

“And that my friend is where you come in. we need a strategy and who’s better than a brooding level headed pirate like yourself.”

“You know Korra, sometimes I wish I never met you.” He said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

“But aren’t you glad you did.” Korra said, grinning.

“And when do you expect us to do this?” Mako asked

“We will strike tomorrow at midnight.” Korra said downing the rest of the drink.”

“Meet here at dawn.” Mako said getting up. Korra pouted.

“Mako, that's too early.”

“Do you want my help or not?”

Korra pouted again, “Fine.”

“See ye in the morning.” He said walking away.

“Now where’s that whore.” Korra thought about walking off…

Nassau 1715

Korra woke up slowly, she let out a moan of pain. She had a pounding headache. She sat on the edge of the bed and looked over. She saw a leg hanging off the bed, she’d forgotten she had given a “private tour” of the captain’s cabin. She pushed the leg with enough force to wake the sleeping girl up. Korra stood up and faced her. “Get up whore.” Korra said buttoning up her shirt. The whore raised up and sat on her knees scooting close to Korra. She smirked and tried to unbutton the buttons of Korra’s shirt.

“Come back and lay with me, Captain Korra.” Korra pushed her hands away and put on her boots.

“Leave.” Korra said. The whore was offended and got dressed quickly.

“I should’ve listened when they told me you were an ass.” She said as she stormed out of the room.

“Yeah ye should have.” Korra said to herself. She finished getting dressed and put her signature hat on. She walked out of the Captain's Quarters, squinting her eyes as the sun beamed down on her. She walked up to the tavern where she met Mako, Bolin and Opal.

“Doesn’t someone just look happy to be up this morning.” Mako smiled.

Korra rolled her eyes. “Fuck off Mako.” She said sitting down around the table they were all gathered at.

“Since everyone is here now, we can get started.” Mako stated. “Here is the map of the castle.” Mako and Bolin used to work for the King, before they decided to take a walk of freedom. Leaving their old lives behind. “It shouldn't have changed in the three years we’ve been gone. Since there are four of us we will lead for different groups on each side of the castle. Korra, your group will come in from the back right, which leads to a hall where the princess stays.”

“Aye” Korra responded.

“Bolin you will enter from the back left where the weapons armory is. Once inside, sabotage any routes or bells that might alarm the king and the royal guard.”

“Aye cappy.” Bolin said.

‘Opal, you and I will lead the two groups who come in from the two front sides. With our  combat skills we will take out the night guards who check the perimeters of the castle.”

“Okay capitano.” Opal said, acknowledging her position.

“Korra, once you get into the Princess room there's a window to the far right which leads down to the beach shore. Once you have the princess in restraints, there should be a crew member posted outside the window ready to throw the grappling hook up so you can escape.”

“Alrighty” Korra said as she got up and put her hat back on her head. “I'll let the crew know.” She walked down the tavern steps.

Mako called out after her. “ Where are you going captain?”

“A walk my dear friend. I’ll catch up with you later.” Mako watched her leave and began to talk to Opal and Bolin more in depth about the plan.

Nassau 1715

Korra was perched on top of a wooden plank that jutted out on the side of a tall building. She sat their legs hanging off with her chin lifted to the sun letting it gaze down on her tan skin. She opened those cobalt blue eyes of hers and took in the view. She looked out across the ocean seeing how the different colors came and collided with one another in such away that sent awe through Korra’s soul. She felt one with the ocean, she felt at peace. She looked around the streets of Nassau, she looked at the people, she saw the freedom in these people she never saw under the King’s tyranny. “I will not let him take this from us.” she said to herself. She saw the sun beginning to set. “Damn I’ve been up here that long?” She got up and dusted herself off. She scouted for any hay or a wagon of flowers. She found one right below her. She leaped off the edge of the plank and swan dived into the stack of hay. She got up and dusted herself off and headed for the ship.

As she walked up to the ship she saw Mako, Opal, and Bolin. Mako walked up to greet her. “You know I saw you up there again Korra.” Korra just shrugged her shoulders. “What’s with you and climbing that building every time you come here?”

“I don't know Mako, It just calls to me, and when I get up there I feel as if It’s me and that this life was as easy as I thought it was. I just feel calm once I get up there.”

“Yeah because what’s more calming than sitting on the edge of a 40 meter building?” Mako said, chuckling.

“Piss off.” Korra said smiling. They both walked aboard the ship. “Avast ye!” Korra called out, getting the attention of her crew. They all circled around the 4 leaders. “As you all know tonight is when we strike. You all have your orders. Fall into your groups. Tonight we show the King that his little threat doesn’t scare us. “Now raise em high, raise em proud, raise for the life of freedom and plundering!”

Everyone yelled “YE HO HO!”

King's Castle 1715

Korra made her ways up to the Crow’s nest. Once up there she leaned against the wooden railing. “How’s it lookin Bo?” She asked.

“Good, no enemy ships are out patrolling so once we anchor it should be easy to get in and out.”

“That’s what I like to hear. Bo you stay safe, I don't need your brother trying to kill me.

“I will.” Bo replied looking back through the telescope.

Korra looked out upon the ocean getting mesmerized by the midnight blue color it put off.

Princess Hall 1715

Asami walked down the hall towards the dining hall , to meet with her father King Sato. Once entering the dining hall she was greeted by her servants

“Good evening Princess Sato, dinner awaits.” She walked to the end of the long dining table with her gown flowing behind her, making her look Goddess like.

“Father.” she said as she sat down. Her eyes were dead of any emotion that was there before.

“Asami why do you do that?” King Sato asked.

“Do what father?” She said monotone.

“That, act as if you have no emotion when around me?”

“I haven't any idea what you mean father.” Asami said as she ate.

“Alrighty then feign innocence Asami” King sato said “I should have had a son.”

“You probably do since you were unfaithful to mom” Asami said. King Sato was upset by this and walked to the other side of the table and slapped Asami across the face.

“Don’t ever talk about your mother like that again.” He said with spit flying out of his mouth. He went to sit back down, smoothing out his robe. Asami got up from the table and exited the dining hall. As she walked back down the hall to her room two of the royal staff that her dad made stay with her at all times followed closely behind. She stopped and turned around facing them.

“Yes princess?” one asked

“You have been relieved of your duty. I do not wish to have any guards around me at this time. “You may resume your positions in the morning.”

“Bu- But princess, it is your father's orders that we do this.” The other one stated.

“I do not care. If I hear your presence outside of my room I will order you to be hanged.” Asami said emotionless.

“Ye-Yes princess.” they both said and walked away. Asami flinched at her own harshness, knowing that she’d never do such a thing. She returned to her room and lay down to sleep.

King's castle 1715

The four groups split up and went to their designated positions. Korra and her group climbed the wall and hid in the bushes on the edge of the castle wall. Moving through the shadows they caught and knocked out any passing guards. Once clear Korra scaled the wall to the princess hall she climbed through the window and was face to face with the princess room door.

LOK

The other three groups had set up and were going through their mission fairly fast since Mako and Bolin had knowledge of the grounds and secret routes. Bolin took care of the guards at the armory and began to pass the weapons in a line back to the boat. While Mako and Opal made good time with the guards posted in the front and sides of the castle. Once everyone was in place all was left was to take the princess.

LOK

Korra quietly slid the door open to the bedroom of the princess. She walked in. “I thought I told you if I felt the presence of any guard you would be hanged.” Korra heard a voice call out. Korra, still hidden in the shadows, called out.

“Glad i'm not a guard then.” She saw the princess freeze. She emerged from the shadows and stood in front of the princess. “This I would say, is your

unlucky

night princess.” Korra said. Asami tried to get up and run but Korra was faster. “Woah, woah there little princess. Almost thought you got away did ye?” Korra said, holding Asami’s arms behind her back. She quickly tied the rope around her wrist. “Hmm, not gonna call for help?” Korra asked mockingly.

“I assume you already handle the guards,

pirate

.” Asami said calmly but distastefully.

“

Oh she's a smart one I see” Korra said.

“Once my father finds that I’ve been kidnapped, it’ll be your head.” Asami said. Korra was tired of this conversation so she wrapped a piece of cloth around Asami’s mouth.

“Oh really now?” Korra said. “Well I guess we should have a little fun then.” Korra winked at Asami and put her over her shoulder. Instead of Korra going out the window as planned she strolled out into the main courtyard with the princess on her shoulder. Korra pulled one of her pistols out and shot two bullets in the air. Alarming all guards and the king.

LOK

Mako heard the bullets ring out and looked where they came from. Mako rolled his eyes. There she was in all her glory. Korra standing in the middle of the Court Yard. “Jaysus. What the fuck is she doing? Opal change of plans we might have to fight our way out of this. You and half of your men go to the armory and warn Bolin, "If you have to kill then kill.” With that she nodded her head and was off.

LOK

By now Korra was encircled by 10 of the royal guards. She sat Asami down gently and gave her a wink. Asami rolled her eyes and just watched. Korra took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders and unsheathed her cutlass from each side. Then at once they charged her. She smiled. The first one that reached her, she sliced through armor and stabbed in the chest. She kicked him off of her sword and threw it in the air. She reached for her pistol and put two bullet holes in one guard who came in from the side. She caught her sword and lunged it deep into the throat of another oncoming guard.  She dropped her sword when she almost got her arm sliced off, she did a backflip and in mid flip she pulled out another pistol and put two holes in the guard who almost cut her. Once upright she roundhouse kicked one breaking his jaw. Then she looked around either they were dead or rolling on the floor in agony. When she looked up there he was the king. “Avast ye king!” she said spitting. “I got ye letter and now...” she chuckled “ I got your daughter.” She picked Asami up and reached in her coat pocket and dropped a piece of paper.

“All Hand Hoay!” She yelled out and retreated back over the wall and to the boat with the rest of the crew. They all boarded.

Middle of the sea 1715

“Nice work men and lady.” Korra said, looking at Opal. “This here is the princess, King Sato’s daughter. And until we get the booty, she will be our captive.”

“Where will she sleep?” Said a sailor in a very lustful manner.

“If you’re thinking I’d say the crew's cabin then you're a real picaroon. I’m not that mean. She’ll stay in the Captain’s Cabin with me.” She said looking back at Asami. “Well our job is done, drink to your heart's desire, we’ll be back in Nassau by dawn.”

“Aye, Aye!” They yelled. Korra helped Asami up and walked her to the Captain's Cabin. Once the door was closed Korra took the rope from around Asami’s wrist. She saw that she had rope burns from how tight they were.

“Damn Korra, show some restraint sometimes”

She said in her head mentally kicking herself.

“Sorry about that.” Korra apologized. She then took the cloth from around Asami’s mouth. She backed away a little.

SMACK.

Korra couldn’t process what just happened until she found herself on the floor with a knee on her chest. Korra stared up at the princess, blinking in shock.

“That’s for kidnapping me.” Asami said before she helped the captain up. Korra dusted herself off and unwrinkled her clothes

“Someone’s trained in combat, I see,” Korra said. She finally got a good look at the princess and boy did she like what she saw. Korra up and downed the princess, making mental notes on every little thing about her.

SMACK

.

“I don't appreciate being looked at like a piece of meat, have some couth.” Asami said. Sitting down on the bed. Korra walked over and sat next to her and faced her.

“No harm will come to you while you're with us. We will keep you until your father pays.” Korra stated. Asami finally looked at the pirate for the first time and when she looked into her eyes and she felt like they were familiar.

“What is your name?” The princess asked

“Korra and yours?”

‘Asami.’

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Alright, lads. I’ll give you Blackbeard’s honest opinion. You ask me, "Can this new captain promise you a life of prizes, plunder, and adventure?" Aye. Amongst all the gentlemen of fortune sailing these West Indies, she ranks amongst the most clever. There was a time when I thought myself the deadliest scourge of these seas. But this woman... She's like a fearsome dog. Feeds off trouble and turmoil. I seen her clear the deck of a Spanish galleon like it were nothing. Fighting like a devil dressed as a man. And she’s the kind of woman who knows her way around every crack and crevice of these islands. So if it's fortune and adventure you seek, then Captain Korra is your man. Only... don't meddle in her private affairs. For there's more mystery in that woman than even I dare ask.

LOK

“Asami.”

“Nice to me ye Miss ‘Sami”

“A- Sami.”

“I said that, didn't I?”

“No you said ‘Sami.”

“Well I reckon I’ll call ye that from now on.”

“Can’t promise you I’ll answer.” Asami said smirking.

“I’ll take that. I pose it's time for bed. I’ll show you the island in the morning.”

“Okay.” Asami said, folding the blanket back and getting in the bed. Korra took her captain's gear off and slid in the bed next to the princess.

“What are you doing?” Asami asked.

“Why lying down to rest.” Korra responded puzzled.

“Not in the same bed as I.” Asami responded. “There’s a nice spot on the floor Capitan.”  Asami said, making Korra get out of the bed. Korra didn’t know why she listened but she got out of the bed and laid on the floor.

Asami laid back down. “G’night Capitan.”

“G’night m’lady.”

LOK

Korra woke to the sound of the ship budding up against something. She got dressed and went out into the bright early day. “Cap’n we’ve docked into Iguana Cove.” A crew member said.

“Thank you lassie.” Korra said. She walked back into the Captain's Cabin. She saw that Asami was still asleep. She stared at her looking at every inch of skin she could see that wasn’t covered by the blanket.

“Well I’ll be damned, she looks even prettier in the daytime.”

Korra said thinking to herself. She stared for a few more moments.

“You must really like getting slapped, Captain Korra.” Asami said with her eyes still closed.

“Err- um, scuse me. But we’ve docked in Iguana Cove.” Korra said, embarrassed for being caught again. Asami rose slowly sitting up in the bed. She looked around obviously knowing that last night wasn't a dream.

Korra walked over to the corner where her desk sat and looked over the inventory of the ship. She made mental notes to herself to get more cannonballs, to add 3 more broadside cannons and to get more cots for the crew members.

Korra looked up and saw Asami staring at her. She smirked, “Liking what you see?”

“My eyesight's bad so I’m not sure.” Asami said smugly. “Please leave so I can get dressed.” Asami demanded.

“Listen here princess, I’m not one of your little royal guards, I make the calls around here. Ye mouth might get you in danger.” Korra said and then exited quietly.

LOK

Korra leaned against the rail, her thoughts conflicted on what she said to the princess,

“Who does she even think she is? You’re my captive. I call the shots. But what the hell was that Korra? “Ye mouth might get you in danger? She’s already in danger.”

Korra was woken from her thoughts when Mako appeared to the right of her.

“Something troubling ye?” Mako asked.

“No, not at all. What is there to trouble? We live the way we want, plundering from dusk to dawn. All the whores at our feet and the sea under our heels.”

“Korra, I know you. Is it the princess? Don't tell me you're thinking about backing out!” Mako exclaimed

“Jaysus no mate!” Korra responded.

Mako’s facial expression changed to a serious one and his voice got a little low. “Korra dont tell me you’re thinking about fuckin the princess. This is a job don’t let ye personal feelings get mixed in with business.”

“Piss off Mako, I know how to keep my feelings in check. This isn't a fantasy, it's a job.”

“As long as you know

Cap’n.”

Mako said before walking away. Korra turned back to the sea, letting her senses get taken away by the smell of the sea and lulling of the waves lapping against the base of the ship. A few moments had passed before she felt another presence behind her

“Mako I said I understood.” She turned around but instead she met emerald eyes instead of hazel ones. Korra soon relaxed her facial expression and looked at Asami.

Asami stood there for a moment. “I’m ready for you to show me the island Captain Korra.”

“Right this way.” Korra said, leading the way off the boat.

LOK

“So what is it that you want Capitan?” Asami asked.

“What ye mean?” Korra asked.

“Why did you take me?”

“That is no concern of yours.” Korra stated as she kept walking

Asami stopped in front of Korra and slapped her.  Korra’s head turned and her cheek was red. “Do that again and you will lose a hand.” Korra said, getting tired of being slapped.

“I dare you.” Asami said and slapped her again. “Now tell me why I am here?

Korra pulled out one of her swords and budded it up against Asami’s neck. “Do not take me lightly princess..”

Korra began to walk, Asami stood there shocked looking at Korra’s back. “Are you coming or are you just gonna stand there like shark bait?”

Korra waited for Asami to catch up. “ The king or your father as ye know him, wants to take our freedom, wants us to come back and slave for him. Wants us to give our life and money up.”

“So you take my freedom to keep yours? Pretty contradictory don't you think?”

“No one says yer freedom is gone m’lady. You can leave for all I care but if you wan’ta keep yer life, you bests stay with me.” Korra said, smiling, holding her hands behind her back. “Now back to the tour?” Korra said as she continued to walk. Asami could only walk behind her quietly.

LOK

“That there is the tavern. Drinks, games, good music and the best line of whores.”

Asami rolled her eyes “Is pussy the only thing on your mind?”

“She’s a smart one.” Korra said, winking at Asami.

“Pig.”

“Call it as you see it.” Asami followed Korra up a steep hill “Watch your step.” Korra said as she continued to climb the hill.

“So what if my fa- ahh!” Asami felt her feet slip from under her but didn't feel the cold ground beneath her butt.

She looked back and saw that Korra got to her before she fell. “You're alright,I got ya, just stand up.” Asami stood up and unruffled her dress. They continued to walk, Asami being more cautious now.

“What if your father doesn't pay up?” Korra said, finishing Asami’s earlier question.

“Yeah, what then?” Asami said.

“Then we both will find out something very unsettling.” Korra said, looking into Asami’s eyes.

“But he wouldn't?” Asami answered as a question not a statement.

“That’s yer father. Only you’d know.” Korra said, walking away.

“Would he really?”

Asami thought to herself. She followed Korra through branches of over-arching trees that intertwined with each other making an archway. She led her up a dirt path

“Alright this is where we’ll be staying? I assume it was the governor's mansion, but now it’s mine.” Korra walked Asami through the building. It had a grand foyer made of marble, it had room after room after room.

“Which room will I be staying in?” Asami asked.

“In this one”, Korra said, opening the door. It was a large room, most likely the master

“This room looks used?” Asami said noticing there were clothes hanging up

“Of course it is, where do you think I sleep?” Korra said.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Give me freedom or give me the rope. For I shall not take the shackles that subjugate the poor to uphold the rich.

Observatory…A voice echoed. “Find the Observatory Korra…”

“T-The what?” Korra yelled back out, she was in some sort of cave, dimly lit, barely seeing five feet in front of her. She kept trying to go towards the voice but it got further and further.

“The observatory Korra…” It whispered at last.

LOK

Korra woke up, rising slowly from the bed and sitting up. She looked around, still a little dazed from her dream.

“H-how did I end up in the bed? And what is the observatory?”

Korra looked around again, making sure nothing was out of the ordinary. She looked over to where Asami should have been lying, but the space was empty. “Princess?” Korra called out.

Asami sauntered out of the bathroom, only in one of Korra's pirate shirts. “I hope you don’t mind captain, I need something to put on, my clothes smell horrid. And I didn't really pack for this …unexpected vacation. “ Asami said with a small laugh.

“No, no, yer fine Sami.” Korra said, wiping the sleep out of her eye.

“Korra?” Asami said

“Yes m’lady?” Korra said, putting on her pants.

“What is the observatory?”

Korra stopped and looked over to her “What do you mean?”

“I’m not sure but you kept saying it last night and then slept- walk into the bed.”

“Oh so that’s how I got up here.”

“Yeah I thought you were about to misbehave until I realized you were sleep still.”

“To answer yer question, I’m not all sure about it, i'll have a word with Mako about that layter.”

“Captain one more thing.”

“Yes Asami?”

“I need more clothes and shoes, only pair I have are my bedroom shoes.”

“Aye, aye. We will go out and find something to suit thy.” Korra said finally getting dressed and putting her captain's hat on with her signature blue feather.” Meet me at the Tavern when yer all done. I need to have a talk with Mako.” Asami nodded her head and with that Korra left.

LOK

Korra walked up the dirt path that led to the Tavern, she spotted Bolin and Mako and headed straight for them. “Mornin hearties.” She said as leaned against the rail by them.

“Aye Korra,” Mako said, nodding his head, with folded arms.

“Mornin Cappy.” Bolin said happily.

Korra turned her head and looked at him and smiled.

“What you happy fer?” Korra asked.

“Me and Opal had sex last night.”

“My boy’s all grown up!” Korra said, slapping him on the back. “Now you can crack Jenny's teacup a few times.” She winked at him.

“Nah I think Opal is the one for me.”

“Don't be a whore like Korra, Bolin.” Mako stepped in.

“Fair.” Korra said. “Bo, if that is the sea to yer land, than jaysus mate you sail her until you die.”

“Thanks Korra.” Bolin said.”I’m gonna go find Opal.” he left grinning from ear to ear. That boy was love struck.

Korra turned to face Mako. “What is it?” Mako asked, feeling her aura change.

“I-I have to ask you about something.” She said taking a seat at an empty table. He followed suit and eyed her.

“What is it Korra?”

“Have you ever heard of The Observatory?” Korra asked, looking at him.

Mako was pretty shocked that she asked about this, he knew that it was an old ancient place, where you read about it in books. And he knew she was too impatient to read about it.

“Yeah I have some knowledge bout it. Why?” Mako said, raising an eyebrow.

“Well last night I had a dream about it, but I’m not sure what it means.”

“Have you heard of the Assassins Brotherhood and The Templars Order?”

“No I can’t say I have.” She said leaning an arm back on her chair.

“They are two enemy factions, both wanted to seek out The Observatory. Legend has it that he who finds the matrix piece of the observatory, controls all four elements.”

“Pfft...You really believe that?” Korra said in disbelief.

“I'm not the one who had the dream.” Mako said. He did have a point.

“You have a point.” Korra said. “But, how did they become enemies?”

“There are many different speculations, One stemming from the killing of Abel by his brother Cain, so he could obtain Abel’s apple of Eden. Another reason for the war between them could be from the aftermath of Human-Isu War, it was fought between soldier pawns but both had ties and manipulations in the government so that each faction can achieve their aims. But that's all I know about it.”

“Do you know more about each faction?”

“ I know a few things. The templars wanted to create the perfect world. While the Assassins brotherhood insisted that it would take time for an utopian society to happen, but, the Templars said that the human race is too corrupt for the process to happen for that long. That the human race needs a society of people to shepherd them into the right path, them being the society of people. The templars wanted to control free will as a way to save Humanity.”

“What kind of Clap of Thunder were they drinkin’? To save the human race by controlling free will? We have rights. We have freedoms.”

Mako Smiled, “I see now what faction you'd swing towards.”

“The Assassins?”

“Aye, They wanted to insure the free will of people and sought to protect the survival of freedom.  They thought that it would allow progression of new ideas and growth of individuality.”

“Now dere onto somethin’ with that.” Korra said smiling. “What else do yer know?”

“That’s pretty much it.” Mako said.

“Damn.”

“I do have a mate of mine sailing in later, names James Kidd. I hear he’s pose to be all into the Assassins brotherhood, I have strong feelings that he might be a part of it also.

“Aye. Let me know when he arrives.”

“Aye.” Mako said, he looked past Korra and saw the princess walking up. “Princess.” He said as he got up to give her his seat. She bowed her head to him and looked over to Korra.

“I’m ready now Captain Korra.” Asami said.

“Aye then we be off shall we?” Korra said. “I'll meet you here later Mako.”

“Aye.” He said and walked off.

Asami was in the dressing room trying on different dresses. She finally settled on a red flowing dress with black embroidery,  it had a kinda of a low neckline showing a bit of cleavage. She looked at herself in the dirty mirror, checking out every angle.

“Perfect.”

She thought as she smiled to herself. She walked out of the dressing room and found Korra sitting down cleaning out her Flintlocks.

“So how do I look, Captain?.”

Korra looked up and saw Asami standing there, everything just fit so right, in every place. A blush ran across the Captain's face, she was dazed.

“Korra. Korrrra.” Asami snapped Korra to reality, she didn't realize she was staring. She stood up straight and looked the princess in her eye.

“You look magnificent m’lady.” Korra said, taking off her hat.

Asami was surprised by the sincerity in her comment, she was used to the pig and misogynistic comments. She blushed and smiled at Korra.

“Thank you.” Asami said. She stepped a little closer to Korra and softly smacked her. “That's for staring.” Asami said, laughing softly.

Korra grabbed her hand softly and smiled. “I'll take that.” This gained a blush from Asami as Korra let her hand go. “Let's go, I’m gonna take you to the Weapons Cabin, so you can have a little protection at all times.”

“I can handle myself.” Asami stated, as they walked out of the clothing store. Korra was in front of her and turned around unsheathing her sword.

“What are you doing?” Asami said in shock.

“Seeing how much ye can ‘handle’ yer self.” Before Asami could reply Korra lunged at her with the sword. Asami dodged it but wasn't quick enough to evade Korra’s second attack. By now Korra was behind her with her cutlass across Asami’s neck.

“Princess, you won't get that far without at least one sword.” Korra released her and stepped back sheathing her sword once more.

“Aye, aye. You win, Captain.” Asami said in defeat, smoothing out the ruffles in her dress.

“Korra one, Asami zero.” Korra said, with a lop sided grin

“More like Asami five.” Asami smirked.

“Okay maybe.” They walked along in a comfortable silence, checking out the scenery. Asami never got out of the castle much so she was all new to this. She was like a kid in a candy shop. Seeing how vibrant the colors were and how everyone was basking in the warmth of the sun, or huddling in the corner gambling, or a few kids here and there running around chasing animals. It was way different then the dull Castle, only her there with her father and royal guards. Now that she thinks about it, she couldn't remember seeing anything other than the color gray. Maybe it wasn't so bad getting kidnapped. They made their way to the Weapons Shop and went in.

“Aye there, I need a set of cutlass and a flintlock for the lady.”

“Yes Captain Korra.” The merchant said as he went into the back to fetch the swords, pistols and holsters, A few moments later he came back with the finest pair of swords he had. The handles were made out of gold and had a fire red pattern going in all directions of the handle. Asami was in love. Red has always been her color of choice, but this, this put her in awe.

“It’s beautiful.” Asami said as she ran her finger over it. Korra smiled at her, not understanding why Asami's excitement for the swords also made her excited too.

“We’ll take those.”

“Aye and the gun?” In contrast to the swords it wasn’t as awe inspiring, but it wasn't  anything shabby either. It was one just like the ones Korra’s had.  A golden flintlock.

“The gun too.”

“That’ll be 5000 reales.”

“Aye.” Korra just threw some money up there as she was distracted by Asami trying to fix her holsters. Korra walked over to her and straightened out the holsters that hugged her hips. She grasped the band and slid it across her hips so that both holsters sat symmetric. Asami tried to hide the heat that went to her face when Korra’s hands were around her waist.

“Thank you.” Asami said, turning around. Inches only away from Korra’s lips. She didn't realize that they were so close.

“Aye.” Korra said almost in a whisper. They stared into each other's eyes. Emerald meeting cobalt, cobalt sinking in emerald.

‘Ehem…” The Merchant cleared his throat obviously sensing the unknown tension between them. “Captain, you only gave me 4000 reales.” Korra reached in her pocket and flicked a gold coin in his direction, never taking her eyes off the princess.

“Will that do?” She said after a few moments and looked back at him.

“Y-yes it does. Have a good day.” He said as he hurried to the back.

Korra looked back at Asami and then down to the holsters. “Are they comfortable?”

“Yes.” Asami said eyes never leaving Korra.

“Alright let's get this last one around your chest. Korra quickly placed it over Asami’s chests, she was about to tighten the straps when Asami’s hand moved hers.

“I want it to be on my back not my chest.” Asami quickly turned the holster around where the crossing straps that would sit on her back were now sitting under her breast cupping them. Which made them stand out even more.

“You like?”

“Very.” Korra went over to the counter and handed her, her cutlass and flintlock. She placed them in their places and took a look in the mirror.

“Wow,  no gown would compare to this outfit.”

She felt like this is what she was meant to wear.

“I assume you like?” Korra said, walking back up to her.

“Aye, I do.” Asami turned around to face Korra.

“Aye, let's head over to the Tavern so everyone can see you.” Korra said, leading the way out of the store.

Opal, Mako, and Bolin were all at the Tavern, laughing boastfully and drinking. There was gambling going on here and there, some people were up dancing to the band that was playing and others were drunk off their ass ready to fight.

“Aye bucko’s.” Korra said as she rounded the stairs. They all looked her way and smiled.

“Aye Cappy.” Bolin said. He then looked past Korra and his jaw dropped.

“Princess?” He said shocked, she looked like a total badass, she even had red lipstick to add effect.

“Aye Bolin, long time no see.” She greeted them.

“Wow you actually remember me?!”

She laughed at his kid like innocence. “Yes I remember you, you and Mako.”

“M’lady.” Mako said, bowing his head.

“Please just call me Asami.” She said smiling

“You look so pretty.” Opal said sitting next to her. “My name's Opal. I helped with kidnapping you.” She said grinning.

Asami laughed, “Good to know.” The bartender came over and slammed five cups down, the liquid splashed everywhere,

“On the house!”

Mako, Opal, Bolin and Korra all yelled “YO HO HO!” and all laughed.  Asami smiled as she enjoyed their excitement. They all downed theirs in one gulp as Asami sipped on hers still enjoying the moment.

“Does the little princess only sip her rum?” Korra said sarcastically, Asami raised an eyebrow and downed the whole mug in five seconds flat. She slammed the cup down and yelled,

“YO HO HO!” And looked at Korra in the eye, “How was that?”

“Gentlemen, I think I’ve found the sea to my land.” Korra said. They all laughed and ordered another round. They drank and drank till their heart's content. Korra started tapping her foot to the beat of the music from the band

“A soldier lad came here last night

With riding he was weary

A soldier lad came here last night

And the moon was shining clearly

Korra got up and began jiving around tapping her foot. “C’mon.” She grabbed Asami’s hand and began jiving with her.

Bonnie lassie, will you gang with me

Bonnie lass, will ye lie near me

I'll get all your ribbons reel

In the morning ere I leave ye

Opal and Bolin followed suit, getting up and dancing with them, even Mako got up and two stepped to the flute.

She's takes the trooper by the hand

And leads him to her chamber

She's given him some wine to drink

And his love it flared like tinder

They danced for the entire song, catching people's attention, most started clapping to the beat while the rest cheered them on, joining around them.

Bonnie lassie, will you gang with me

Bonnie lass, will ye lie near me

I'll get all your ribbons reel

In the morning ere I leave ye

They had not been in bed an hour

An hour but scarce a quarter

But the drums coming up the street

And then the beat was shorter

Its up, up, up, our colonel cried

It's up, up, up and away, then

It's up, up, up, our colonel cried

The morn's our battle day then

Bonnie lassie, will you gang with me

Bonnie lass, will ye lie near me

I'll get all your ribbons reel

In the morning ere I leave ye

It's when will you come back again

My own dear soldier laddie

When will you come back again

And be your bairnie's daddy

Oh, hold your tongue my bonnie wee lass

Never let this parting grieve thee

When heather cows grow oxen bows

Bonnie lassie I'll come see ye

Bonnie lassie, will you gang with me

Bonnie lass, will ye lie near me

I'll get all your ribbons reel

In the morning ere I leave ye

Bonnie lassie, will you gang with me

Bonnie lass, will ye lie near me

I'll get all your ribbons reel

In the morning ere I leave ye

In the morning ere I leave ye

Once the song was over, everyone cheered and clapped for the band. For the next song they decide to take things down a  bit to calm everyone down before some left or before some passed out where they were. The group sat down and laughed. All enjoying some drunken small talk before heading out different ways, saying their goodbyes.

Asami and Korra had to help each other back to their shared room. Once in the room they both started laughing uncontrollably. Both were laying down on the bed facing each other reeking of rum but all they could do was laugh. Korra scooted a little closer and Asami got quiet for a moment then burst out laughing, gaining a few giggles from Korra as well. While Asami was still laughing, Korra captured her lips with her own. Asami was taken aback for a second but in her drunken slur she kissed back. They made out for a few moments. Asami parted her lips so Korra could slide her tongue in. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Korra got on top pinning Asami’s wrist down. She was going to kiss Asami’s neck and then stopped herself. She soon got up and sat on the edge of the bed. Asami was confused as to why the tan pirate got off her.

“What? What's wrong Korra.” Asami said sitting up, worried.

“Y-you're my captive. I can't be doing this. This is a job and personal feelings aren't pose to get mixed ye see.” Korra said.

Asami came somewhat to her senses still stuck in her drunken stupor. “It’s okay Korra I understand. This is only for a few more days anyway. My father’ll pay up as soon as he can,” Asami still drunk off her shits rolled over to the side of the bed she slept on.

“Captain.”

“Aye?” she said looking over to Asami.

“You can sleep in the bed tonight.” Asami said, sounding like she was about to pass out. She wasn't about to, she actually did right after that sentence.

Korra only shook her head, “

What have I gotten myself into? She’s right only a few more days.”

Korra laid down in the bed and passed out a few moments later...

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“If there’s a man among ye, ye’ll come up and fight like the man ye are to be!” ― Mary Read  It was the rise of early morning when Charles, the Dock Master, saw the “Adventure Galley” pull in. He began to raise like the morning sun and yelled at his men. “Oi! Captain Kidd has arrived.” “Aye” His men called back as they pulled the casted ropes from the side of the Galley down to bring it into the dock. With a creak of the wood and the splashing of water against the dock the ship came to a halt. The walk board was then lowered and the crew began filing out. With the golden rays of the sun shining, out came James Kidd. He was a young buck, no older than his early 20’s. He came with a grin as he skipped his way down the boardwalk.“Old man Charles, How is ye’?”  He said, clapping the Dock Master on his back. “Still alive, boy yo’” He said as he laughed. “I’ll get yer shipped all checked out and back to lookin’ pretty.” “Ah, thank you mate.” James waved them off and headed to the tavern. As he walked up he spotted Mako, who was leaning on the bar ordering a drink.“A little early for a Thunder Clap der’ Mako?”Mako grinned and turned around, “Dealing with a ‘roon like you I may need two” Mako said, coming up to clasp forearms with him. “How was yer’ trip Kidd?” “‘Bout as smooth as a gator's back.” Kidd said, pulling up a chair. Mako turned over his shoulder and called out to the bartender.“Aye, Rico bring ano’ther.” Rico gave him a nod and brought another drink over moments later.“What brings you in Kidd?” Mako asked.Kidd started stroking his face. “I need a faver, mate.” Mako raised an eyebrow and took a sip from his mug,“What kind of favor?Korra rose with what seemed like a nulling headache. She sat up and looked around her grand bedroom. Eyes still low from the festivities from the night before. She slipped her legs off the edge of the bed and almost stumbled. “I must still be a little drunk, '' she thought to herself. She began to stand back up right and paced herself. She began heading to the washroom, without paying no mind if her counterpart was still laying in bed. As she walked into the washroom she was rubbing her eyes and was stopped abruptly. “Have you no manners, Captain!” Asami yelled.Still in a daze Korra stood there not registering what was going on. “Huh?” Korra said. Then her eyes widened and she began fumbling over her words. “I-I, Um M-my apologies princess.” She turned around and sped walked out of the wash room. She began to chastise herself.  “My apologies? Whose the Captain here? You or her?“ She straightened up and walked back into the washroom.“Captain!” Asami began to yell again but was cut off.“Hush up, I gave yer too much freedom, know your place princess. I am your captain and you are my captive. This is my wash room and I use it when I want.” Asami stood in disbelief and hurried and walked out the bathroom. Korra began to strip and washed up. When she returned to the bedroom Asami was gone. Korra shook her head and began to get dressed. She put on her signature outfit and her hat that was tipped with a cobalt feather that matched her eyes.Korra began walking down the pathway from her house that sat on the hill overlooking the whole town. She was greeted by multiple strumpets, citizens and crew mates. She waved and tipped her hat at them as she passed by. Once she made it to the midst of the town she caught sight of Mako and a lad he was sitting with. She walked up the wooden steps that creaked below her feet. “Ah well if it isn't the Devil.” Mako said, pulling out a chair for her. “Aye, shut it mate.” She sat down.“ The infamous Captain Korra “who holds the sea in her eyes” Kidd said.“Yer looking att’er” Korra grinned kicking her boots up on the side of the table. “You must be Kidd, Mako was telling me about you.” “Goods tings I hope.” James said smiling.“Aye, aye.” Korra said back. Rico brought out her favorite, rum. She nodded to him as a thank you and he went back behind the bar. “Mako has told me you may have some information on the ‘Observatory’? She asked, "Getting to the point.” “Ah, yes, what fancies you ‘bout it?” James said, leaning back in his chair.“I’ve had er dream or two ‘bout it. Im in this kind er crystal cave and there's a voice calling out to me, but everytime I try to go near it I wake up.” “Hmm,” Kid started. “ Do you know who Aita is?” He asked, taking a sip from his mug.“No reckon I don’t.” Korra added back. “Who is he?”“He may be the answer to yer dreams.” Kidd said.“How so?” Mako added in. After Asami stormed out of the room, she got dressed and left the house. “How rude that captain is!” She exclaimed to herself. “Who does she think she is? I’m the princess!” In her roar of fits she didn’t realize where she had stumbled off too. When she came back to her senses she was surrounded by the tropical forest. When she looked around she was surrounded by nothing but trees. All different shapes and sizes sprouting different flowers. Colors more vibrant than the next. She came around this one particular tree that sprouted a deep red flower. She picked it and stuck it behind her ear. She began taking in the sight and scenery around her, never feeling this free in her life. All she knew was cold gray stones. Asami began frolicking through the floral floor, she continued until she came upon a sandy shore. She stared in awe as she gazed upon the sea, realizing that it was a familiar view. “How could this be?” She thought. “The castle never showed anything this awe-inspiring.” Then it hit her. It was so familiar because she saw the same view in the Captain’s eyes. “Captain Korra, who holds the sea in her eyes ” she whispered to herself. She sat down stuck in the moment. The sight took her breath away, something she’d sure she’d never forget. “Maybe getting kidnapped wasn't so bad. Yeah, but this isn’t your life, father will pay the ransom soon enough.” She said shutting down her fantasy. After what felt like hours, Asami got up and patted the sand of her butt. She began trying to find her way back but, to no avail. “Shite.” Asami said out loud. She began to feel a sense of fear when she actually understood the danger of being alone in the wilderness. Over head she heard a loud “SCREECHHHH” She looked up and seen a bird circle over her ahead. “Fuck me.” She thought. The bird swooped down and Asami took off running into the bushes. She stopped and peered out from behind a tree and saw the bird just hovering in front of her. It screeched again at her and began trying to fly off. The bird noticed Asami’s confusion and came back. The bird screeched one more time and Asami came from behind the tree. “Are you trying to lead me back?”  The bird let out another “screech” and began to slow fly off. Asami started to follow. So yer saying this Aita guy, who lived long ago, is the creator of the Observatory?” Captain Korra said.“Aye, Captain.” Kidd said back. “He is the creator of the observatory and the matrix which holds all four elements.” He leaned forward. “They say,” He looked around. “Who ever holds all four elements is the savior of the world.”“Then why would the Templars want it if who has it, is pose to be the savior of the world?” Korra asked.“Cause mate, if they hold that power they will be able to rule from the land to the sea. Yer see they want it to control the folk in the world. They believe the folk are to addled to think fer themselves!”“Blimey!” Korra exclaimed. “People deserve dere’ free’om!” Kidd laughed. “ Aye!” He got up. “Der’ Freedom!” He sat back down and began to get more serious. “Captain Korra, do you know of the Assassins Brotherhood?”“Mako told me a few bout it. I know that I agree wit ‘em.” Korra said, raising her mug.Kidd grinned. “I think I got a prop’sition for yer.”“What is it Mate?” Korra said “You help me locate the person I’m looking fer and I’ll help you find the Observatory by becoming an Assassin.” “Oi! Hold it mate.” She said sticking her hand out. “Who said I wanted to be an Assassin?” She finished as she put her mug down. “I think yer dreams already decided that for yer” Kid said regaled, nodding his head toward her. “Listen, mate, der’s only three ways you can know about the Observatory, one, “ He said putting up his index finger. “Ye came across ancient writings about the Observatory, two,” He said putting up his middle finger. “ Yer an Assassin, or three,” He said finally holding up his ring finger. “Yer a Templar, apart of the Templar Order and I doubt yer that.”“But I’m no Assassin either.” Korra started.“Maybe, Aita believes yer the savior of the world and the person to hold all 4 elements,” Kidd said smirking. Korra leaned back and rubbed her chin with two fingers. She then leaned forward as if she had a sudden epiphany.“Oi, what about Mako? How does he know.” Korra said puzzled. Mako looked at Kidd and took a sip of his rum. Korra looked back and forth between the two. “Oi!” She said wanting to know. “Ha-ha,” He laughed, tapping his hand on the table. “Seems like you’ve got a little to learn about yer mate der’. Captain Korra '' Kidd said, taking the last sip of his rum. “Come and find me when yer mind's made.” He scooted out his chair and rubbed his hand through his hair. He gave them goodbye and walked away with his hands in his pocket.“Mate?” Korra asked, looking at Mako. “Aye.” He said looking over at her.“Yer -” She interrupted.“An Assassin? Aye.” Mako answered, finishing her question. “Me and Bolin.”“Since when?” “Since teens, our parents were Assassin’s and were killed by the Templars. So the Brotherhood took us in and trained us.” He said this as he waved his halfway cut right ring-finger.“Wait, that's from yer training?” Aye, it’s to hide this.”He flicked his wrist and a hidden blade unsheathed its self and slid up to where his ring finger would be.“Why hide yer weapon, ye should be proud to face off against yer opponent,” Korra said roughly. “We work in the dark, to serve the light. We are Assassins.” He flicked his wrist once more and the blade sheathed itself back. He looked over at her. “We are a hidden creed who protects the free will of the people, we can’t be seen.”“Is being one of my crewmen a way to keep it hidden?” She asked.“Aye, it was matey, but I follow yer command because I know yer passion from free’om, yer an Assassin by heart. But, yer boldness and yer impatience make ye and pirate at heart too.” He said looking over at her. “So what happens if I say yes?” She pondered.“ Well, I’d train you at the Sanctum of the Creed, give you yer weapons and you begin to serve the light from the shadows as an Assassin and a pirate.” He took a sip of his rum and sucked his teeth.“And the Observatory?” She asked“Well maybe Kidd’s right, maybe yer the savior of the world.” He said laughing. Korra rolled her eyes. Then her attention was diverted.“Ye here that matey?” She said surveying the Island.“Oiiiii!” They heard from a distance.“I hear it now,” Mako said searching. He pointed to a man running and waving a piece of parcel in his hand. “There.”“Oi!, Oi!” He said finally running up to them. They stood and greeted the courier. “Aye matey, take a breath,” Korra said, resting her hand on the back of the doubled-over man. He took two deep breaths and stood back up.“Cap’n Korra, an l-letter from the King.” He said it was still taking in air.“The king?” Mako said, looking over at Korra.“The King.” Korra echoed after Mako. She had a fleeting thought about Asami and a pang in her chest but it was soon washed over. A devilish grin etched across her face as she was handed the letter.“Also, he said regaining his breath, I need to find Cappy James, he’s received a letter from an informant.”“Aye, he went that way past the hill,” Mako said, pointing in the direction behind him.“Tanks.” The courier said. Korra clapped him on the back and thanked him and then he ran off towards Kidd.”“Jaysus matey!” Korra said, putting up to the sky and kissing it.“Shite, mate, open it, open it!” Mako said, patting Korra’s shoulder. She slid her finger under the royal seal and opened it. Mako began reading the letter over her shoulder. Their faces dropped with every passing sentence. “Jaysus fucking Christ mate,” Mako called out, putting his hands behind his head.“Shite, Jaysus mates a fuckin’ bun-” She was cut off.“Korra?” Asami spoke.1715 Iguana Cove.Asami continued to follow the bird until she could faintly see the makings of a path. After a few more minutes of walking, she was on a path that led back to the side of Captain Korra’s mansion. “Ah thank you bird,” She said, clapping her hands together. The bird turned around and flapped back to her and landed on her shoulder. It was the prettiest bird she’d ever seen. Her feathers were so white it seemed like she was dipped in snow. Its eyes were striking and blue that seemed to be filled with the blue waters that surrounded Nassau like...Korra’s. “ Hmm.” she thought to herself. She set off on the path that led into the town in search of the Captain. She passed by Bolin and Opal after walking into the town and stopped to speak to them. “Princess,” Bolin said, coming up to greet her.“Aye, Princess,” Opal said following behind her.“Asami smiled and greeted them. “Hi guys, but please just call me Asami.” “Aye, aye. Bolin said. “Oi! I see you’ve found the Captain’s bird.” Bolin said, pointing to Asami’s shoulder.“T-this is the Captains bird?” Asami said to Bolin. “I knew something felt familiar about this bird.” She thought to herself. “Aye, you can tell it's hers because of the white feathers. It’s native to the Island the Cap’n was born on.” Opal said, coming to stand next to Asami. “Ahh,” Asami said, understanding now. “ Well, do you know where the captain is? Her bird helped me back to the main path. I want to thank her properly” “Aye, we’re just about to head to where she was,” Opal said. Opal led the way down through the town. They climbed the hill that the tavern sat and once in view they caught sight of Korra and Mako.“Jaysus fucking Christ mate,” She overheard “Shite, Jaysus, mates a fuckin’ bun-” she heard echo after.“Korra?” Asami spoke out. Korra looked up with a clenched jaw searching for the voice who called her name. Her eyes began filtering between the paper and Asami. As Asami walked closer Korra tried to smoothen out her face.“Ah, I see you met Naga,” Korra said, stepping to greet her. Naga jumped off Asami's shoulder and flapped to perch on Korra’s. “Aye, she helped me find my way back after I wandered off into the forest.” She replied back. “I came to return her back to you.” “Thank ye, princess,” Korra said, trying to slide the paper into her shirt.“Captain?”“Aye, princess.”“What is that piece of paper?” Asami asked, pointing to the Captain’s chest.Korra’s facade faltered and empathy seeped through the cracks on her face.“Princess, I-” Korra fell off. “I think we should talk about this out of earshot. “ she said, looking around all the people at the tavern.“Okay, Captain,” Asami replied. Korra nodded to Mako and went over to Opal and Bolin to fill them in on what happened. As Asami and Korra walked away she heard Bolin call out. “Jaysus mate.” She turned around to look at Bolin who quickly averted his eyes when they made eye contact. Asami stopped which caused Korra to stop and turn to face her.“Korra, what is it?” Asami asked. Korra’s eyes flickered with anger and sorrow as she pulled out the letter.“Princess...We received a letter from the kin-, yer father.” Korra said handing her the letter. “‘Sami..” Korra said after handing her the letter. Asami began to feel an anxious nagging pulling at her. She reopened the already open paper and began to read it aloud.“ To Captain Korra and her Bube filled Crewmates. I, the King, will not pay any ransom for my daughter. You may keep or kill her, it makes no difference to me. She is my daughter but she will never be heir to my throne. “Buss my blind cheeks.” as you and your bilge rats call it. To hell with you Captain Korra.” Asami was at a loss for words. Her eyes began to fill and she hung her arm and let the letter slip from her hand. She started to walk away. Korra was at a loss. She bent down and retrieved the letter, dirt staining the royal seal. Korra then went after her. When she finally caught up to the pale beauty she saw her sitting on a cliff that overlooked the sea. Korra softly walked up and sat next to her dangling her legs over the edge. “Listen, princess...” Korra started but was cut short.“You know, being in that castle I couldn’t even remember seeing colors other than gray, and everywhere I went I was either with guards or my ladies. But, the few days I’ve spent here are the freest I’ve felt since I was born.” Asami pulled her knees to her chest and stared out past the vast ocean. They fell into silence for a few minutes. A tear dropped from Asami’s face and glistened down her skin. While Asami stared into the sea Korra stared at her, taking in all her untouched beauty. Korra felt a pang in her heart that she’d never felt before. “What was this?” she thought. Before she could catch herself she reached over and thumbed away the free tear that fell from Asami’s emerald eye. Asami turned and smiled at Korra. “Thank you, Captain.”“Fer what?” Korra asked, slightly confused.“For kidnapping me and freeing me from my old life. These past few days I felt like I was freed from the shackles of my father.”“Um, yer Welcome,”Korra said awkwardly. She began rubbing the back of her head while looking down.“Listen, princess,” Korra began. “Yer, welcome to stay with us. Ye been outcasted by the King and yer don’t know what may happen when word gets out. We will make sure yer safe taken care of.” Asami leaned back on her hands. “You think I could be a pirate?” She said looking over at Korra. “Aye,” Korra responded, nodding her head.Asami smiled. “Well Cap’n Korra, I’d like to join ‘yer’ crew.” Korra laughed. “We got work on yer pirate talk, princess. But, first, fer ye to join yer have to do a ‘Leap of Faith’ if you want to join my crew.” Korra said standing up.“A ‘Leap of Faith’ and seriously??” Asami echoed after her.”“Aye, a swan dive off the cliff and no but I like to do it.,” Korra said, extending her hand out to help Asami up. Asami reached out and grabbed it, feeling a sensation run through her hand until she let go. “But this cliff is high,” Asami said, a little scared. Korra smirked“I do this all the time.” She said, reassuring her, which helped calm Asami down.“Okay, I’ll do it,” Asami said, stepping to the edge next to Korra.“Oi!, really?” Korra said in surprise.“Aye, Captain Korra,” she replied “Just call me Korra,” Korra said, looking over to Asami.  “On Three, okay?” Korra said “Aye.”“1”“2”“3”They both took a Leap Of Faith off the edge and landed in the water below. They were surrounded by the gargle of water and the sound of bubbles they created from disturbing the water. They looked at each other smiling and swam to the surface of the water. Both of their heads popped up as they swan closer to each other wiping the salty water from their eyes. “That was exhilarating and freeing. “Asami said while spluttering water out of her mouth.“Aye, now you can do it whenever and wherever you please,” Korra replied. They both swam to the shore and climbed out of the water with clothes weighing them down and dripping. They shared a laugh and began walking back to the others. As they got closer to the other Korra saw Mako and Kidd talking hurriedly. Mako looked up and caught wind of the wet pair. “Korra,” he said with a serious tone. “Aye.” She said walking up with a raised eye.“We have matters that concern us,” Mako said to Korra and turned back to look at Kidd.“Aye, Cap’n Kidd what is it?” she asked, finally walking upon them.“It concerns the conversation we had earlier,” Kidd said while eyeing the princess. “Wait, are ye, princess Sato?”“Aye, I am.” She replied.“Then this concerns ye too,” Kidd said back.“Wel, let us return back to my mansion and talk,” Korra said.Iguana Cove 1715They all gathered in the Court and circled around the table in the center of the room. James laid the papers he received earlier that day on the table. “My informant has led me to believe that the King is looking for the man I’ve been tracking, his name’s Roberts.”“Why would the King be interested in yer bounty Kidd?” Korra asked.“Cause der’s somethin’ special about this mate. He’s a sage.”“A sage?” Korra replied.“Aye, I was going to tell ye bout’ it when yer mind was made. But, Avast, a sage is what’s needed to access the Observatory and to gain the matrix of the 4 elements.” Kidd said “What does the King need with the Sage and how does he know of the Observatory?” Mako asked. “Mako, don’t ye remember why we were sent to the castle?” Bolin said, cutting in.Mako put his head down. “Aye, I do remember Bo.” He started. “ We were sent to spy on the King for suspicions of being a part of the Templar Order.” Mako looked over to Asami. “Asami did ye ever notice any secret meeting yer father would have?”“Aye, There was this one time I was able to sneak past the guards and I saw Fa- the King walk in with a few men who wore white robes with a red cross on the front,” Asami said, resting her hand on the table.“Which means he’s planning to use the matrix to control the people's free will,” Korra said, chiming in “And if he finds the sage first that means the Templars will have the Utopia they dreamed fer.”“W-wait what does this all mean,” Asami asked confused.“It means yer Father, I mean the King, will use his power to control the people's free will to create a world he sees fit,” Mako replied“Which means, all of the pirates will be payin’ a visit to Johnny Ketch.” Korra finished as she looked around at everyone.``Iguana Cove 1715

"Which means, all of the pirates will be paying' a visit to Johnny Ketch." Korra finished as she looked around at everyone.``

She looked over at her crew mates, the former princess and Kidd. What should she do? This is different from a small plunder and pillage rendezvous. This, this is the old cliche battle between good and evil. Is she supposed to be the savior of this world, to bring balance between right and wrong? She leans further onto the round table thinking. She was pried from her thoughts as she felt a gentle touch on her back. She looked up to see Asami at her side giving her a hopeful smile.  “Captain,” she starts. “Look around you. You have trusted comrades who will be by your side through any situation if that even means death.” Asami looks around. “I know my time has been short with you all and the circumstances for our meeting were pretty different from now but I am willing to lay my life for the pirates and the Assassins.”

She pulled up her sword and holster shining the immaculate red stones through the creaks of sun rays that came through the room. She holds it up as her solidarity to the team and the Assassins.

“Looks like ye fit right on in.” Kidd says, crossing his arms smirking.”Well Cap’n? Boys? Miss Opal?” He said while surveying the room.

Korra rose from her bent over state and cleared her voice. She looked at Mako, Bolin and Opal and began. “

From the top of the sea to the bottom we pledge our heart to thee.”

She raises her sword high. Mako,Opal and Bolin stand to the sides of her and begin to echo their gang's mantra. They all raise their swords high and finish out.

“If it is death by the sea. Send me to Davy Jones locker where not a stutter would speak. We are in arm. From the dawn of the ocean we are one.”

They say a solemn ‘aye’ and lower their swords back to their holsters.

“Aye Kidd we will join forces. I will become an Assassin and bring balance to this God fer saken world. I will get my crew and we will find this sage, Roberts. Mako you will coordinate the time of departure and we will leave for the Sanctum and for Roberts.” Korra said, dishing out her Captain demands. Then she thought for a second. “Kidd, how are we supposed to train to be Assassins and capture the sage? Would we have em imprisoned until the training is done?” Korra asked.

“No, no we do not need him as a prisoner the more he feels like an equal the more he will help us. My informant who should be arriving today or tomorrow has information on when the King and Templars will try and capture him. Once we get that information we will know how long we will have to train.” He said walking to the side of the grand table and resting his palms on it.

“Aye. Then we wait and celebrate in this good fortune. Opal you will coordinate with the men, get tally of all the injured, food and drink stock. Bolin you will account for our weapons and any ship repairs to the Jackdaw. If any weapons be needed check with the weapons master in town and the doc master for ship repairs.”

“And for me Capitan?” Asami said, walking forward to the captain. “You’re with me. We will devise any attack plan that may interfere with our journey. We have new hidden enemies we may not know about. We will also go hunting for any meats we don’t already have. But until that time comes we will drink to our fortune. Gather the men and let them know.”

“Aye.” Everyone said in unison.

“As for me I will coordinate my men and we will leave heading for the Sanctum. And after ev’ry one is sober Korra we will talk more about the sage and how we will interfere with the King’s plan.” Kidd said, stepping in to fulfill his role.

“Aye” Korra and the gang responded. With that he took his leave. The gang circled around the table looking at their captain.

“Dere’s nothing more to say hearties. From this day on we’re hidden leaders of the free world.”

“Aye Cappy,” Bolin said loudly and proud.

“Aye.” The rest of the gang said.

“We’ll catch you guys later at the tavern.” Bolin said as he pulled Opal away with him. Mako left with a nod toward the captain and the ex-princess. With that they were alone again. Asami looked over to Korra,

“So Captain, what do you think it’ll be like from now on.”

“Well dere ‘Sami I don’t know. May be full of training and peace or…”She trailed off “We may have to fight yer father sooner than expected.” Korra finished off looking over to Asami. Asami walked up to her inches away from her face and whispered.

“Well, I say death…

to the king

.” Asami said, placing a kiss on the Captains lips and turning to walk away.

Korra’s signature grin slid across her face. “Aye aye m’lady.” She ran the side of her thumb across her lips and followed behind the princess. As she turned out of the great room she lost sight of the beauty.

“Oh a game?”

Korra thought and smirked again.

“Oh princess.” Korra called out from the hallway, as her echo cascaded through the many rooms.

“Come find me.” Asami called out. Those three words knocked Korra off her tracks. Within minutes she had a pang on the left side of her forehead. Distorted memories flashing back through her mind.

“Come… find me.”

the garbled memory called out in her head. Flashes of when she was younger began playing and the warped memories became a little clearer. She could see herself running and playing with another kid. Echoing the same exact words. Just as fast as the pang came it left just as quickly. Her visoned cleared to the present day. She stumbled back a bit and began trying to regain her blurring eyesight.

“Woah what was that?”

Korra thought she leaned back to the wall and held her head as the sharp pain began ebbing away.

Asami was playing around hiding in one of the many rooms hoping her tanned captain would find her. She heard a sort of ruckus and came out of hiding to check it out. As she turned the corner she could see Korra leaned with her back on the wall bent over holding her head. She swiftly walked up to her to check her over. “Korra?” She asked worriedly.

The captain lifted up with her crooked grin “Aye ‘Sami.” She said half looking at Asami half not because her vision was still a little blurred.

“Are you okay?” She said, placing her hand on Korra’s shoulder, holding her up.

“Aye, I just need to lie down.” Korra replied back. Asami helped walk Korra back to their shared room shouldering some of her weight. After what felt like eternity she finally was able to get Korra on the bed.

“I might need to work out a bit more.” Asami said, chuckling somewhat out of breath. Korra laid down, giving out a weak laugh while smiling.

“Thank yer.” She said looking over at Asami. Asami sat down on the bed next to her captain.

“Korra what happened?” She asked, trying to see how in the matter of seconds Korra was doubled over clenching her head.

Korra adjusted her position a bit to sit up. “I-I don’t really know. I was about to come find you when memories of when I was younger or when someone else was younger filled my mind. It was so real and agonizing I couldn’t see for a second. It was like I was looking at old memories at first then a white light.” Korra finished out trying to remember what exactly pulsed through her mind.

“Maybe you should rest for a moment.” Asami said, making sure that she wouldn’t relapse.

“Nay, I’m feelin bet’r. I just need to lay fer a few more. After that I’ll teach you how to shoot those flints you got dere.” Korra said as she rested her hand behind her head.

“Aye Captain.” Asami said, watching Korra as she slightly closed her eyes.

BLICKKKOW

Shots echoed throughout the open clearing behind the Captain's mansion. There Asami stood with one of her golden flintlocks. Her arm extended out fully with the flintlock acting as an extension of her hand. “Wow, that felt amazing.” Asami said as she blew out a relaxed breath that she didn’t know she was holding.”Like that?” Asami asked, smiling halfway, turning around to get feedback from her Captain. Korra walked up next to her, hands clasped behind her back.

“Aye ‘Sami.” She said looking forward. She slowly pulled out one of her cutlasses and slipped it behind Asami’s leg and tripped her.

“Ahh.” Asami let out as she unexpectedly fell back. Korra stood over her legs on either side of Asami's thighs. Asami looked up at Korra, her shadow somewhat hiding the bulk of the light from the sun. But those resilient rays still peeked through the side of Korra making Asami cup her hand over her eyes to peer up at her.

“Jaysus, what was that for?” She asked, trying to get up. Korra pushed her back down with the tip of her cutlass pointed squarely at her chest.

“Yer feet are stiffer than a walk board,” She started. “In battle ye’d be laid out in yer earth bath in minutes.” Korra said, stepping to the side of her allowing her to get up. Asami pushed herself up and dusted herself off.

“You know you could have just told me that.” Asami said, annoyed.

“Aye, but I’m all about hands-on lessons.” Korra said, smirking, putting her cutlass up.

“By all means show me how, Captain.” Asami said, stepping out of her way.

“Don’t mind if I do.” Korra said, continuing her smirk. “You see that wild boar behind the bush and the deer stalking behind the trees?” Korra asked Asami while looking through the flora. Asami couldn’t see it at first but she was able to catch on to the two animals Korra spotted.

“Aye, a keen eye Captain.” Asami said in amazement.

“Aye, me father always taught me to spot them before they spot me.”Korra said, nodding. “Now dere Asami I want you to come at me lunging yer sword after you hear the second shot go off. This will also help with hunting. We’ll grab some bunny-grub later.”

“Aye but Captain I don’t want to lunge at you.” Asami said, unsure of this

lesson.

Korra turned to her fully and folded her arm and studied Asami. “In me 20 years on this God fer saken earth, I’ve had more swords lunged at me than I can count. So as I said when the second shot goes off lunge at me. Yer captain will be okay.” Korra smiled and turned back to her targets. Asami just nodded and waited for her signal.Korra took a deep inhale in and rolled her shoulders. She began feeling the space around her. She held the inhale for a moment taking it all in. With an exhale she snapped her eyes open and swiftly pulled out her flintlocks that paraded on her chest. Snatching them both freely she quickly set her aim on the boar behind the bush.

One down

. As soon as she shot the first one she let the other one sing out the barrel catching the deer in the backside before it could run away. She could see Asami coming from her left backside as she dropped one flintlock from her hand to pull the third one from her side hip holster. She swiftly grabbed it and used it as an extension of herself before Asami could even get a step closer. The opening of the barrel was pointed squarely between her eyes. She was stunned. In an instant Korra rotated the gun to where she was holding the barrel and the handle was pointed at Asami. Before Asami could reel in what was going one Korra twirled the butt of the gun around the tip of Asami’s sword, knocking it loose from her hand.

Clang

her sword dropped reverberating on the dusty ground. Asami's eyes were full of admiration with equal terror. Let's not forget if Korra was an actual enemy she would definitely be in an earth bath.

“She's terrifying.”

Asami thought.

“Korra, you have to teach me that.” Asami said, stepping up next to her.

“Aye I will, but first let's grab that grub and take it to the ship's galley.” Korra said, smiling over at Asami.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Bury me in the ocean, with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage.”
Korra and Asami helped each other carry the food back to the galley of the ship. Usually Korra does the food gathering by herself. But she was glad she had some help. “Aye, Jospeh.” Korra said, greeting the chef as she sat down the baskets of food. “Here yer are, we got the deer and boar coming to ya in a few. How long ye thinks this'll last us?” She asked. Asami sat her load down too and leaned on the counter. “Aye Cappy,” He said, turning around to check through the food. He wasn't much of a talker but was the best chef you could have on the sea. “We need four whole boar just for the trip there and I hope to Jaysus whatever island you takin us to will have meat.” He said in annoyance. Korra laughed and patted his shoulder. “Yer old geezer forgot ye talking to yer Captain?” She played around. “Ye aint nun but a half of me age, snap yer like this” He joked motioning how he would snap her by chopping a vegetable in half. “Oi!” Korra called out in fake hurt. “That hurt mate!”“Aye aye, go on now and get me boars.” He said, turning his back and waving his knife. Asami started to laugh as her and Korra walked away “What a relationship you two have.” Asami said, as they climbed back up to the main deck.“Yeah me and the ol salt cracker been together since I was 16. Like an uncle to me.” Korra said as they crossed over the deck. They entered the captain cabin and Korra went over to her desk to sit. Asami sat down and looked at the room. It was quite big for a ship's room but it is the Captain's Cabin. Asami looked around and saw different shades and patterns of blues, some cloth and some necklaces or relics. She also saw numbers of fur lining the wall which was weird because the Caribbean stayed hot all the time. “Captain?” Asami questioned. “Aye?” Korra said looking up from her inventory log. She sat her pen down and focused on Asami. “It is a bit hot here for fur isn't it? And all these relics and jewelry don't seem to be native to these islands.” Asami observed. “Aye m’lady, these are native to my homeland down in the South Pole.” Korra said, leaning back in her chair. “South Pole? People live down there?” Asami was shocked that there would be anyone crazy enough to do that. “Aye me whole family's from there, though we moved when I was bout 10. Me father… never mind” Korra said looking back down at her inventory sheet. Asami knew not to press any further, she could read the Captains mood and body language. Asami walked over  to the furs and trinkets and lightly ran her fingers over them.  She came across a beautifully carved necklace and picked it up. She faced the mirror and put it up to her neck. “ Ah, I thought red was my color but blue maybe it too.” She smiled at the thought and kept looking in the mirror. “Captain, what is this beautiful necklace for?” Asami asked. Korra slightly smiled and walked up to Asami and stood behind her. Korra touched the ends of the necklace and tied it around Asami’s neck. “It's…” Korra couldn't suppress her chuckle. “It's a betrothal necklace.  You give it to yer woman when you want to marry her.” Korra finished while staring at Asami through the mirror. She could see shock spreading across Asami’s face. Korra laughed. “No worries princess, I have no intentions of per’posin to ya.” Korra said as Asami faced regained some blood. Korra quickly unfastened it and hung it back up. “It was me mother's.” Korra said, sitting back down. “Me father made that fer her. He said he made it right after he first saw her.”“Do ye believe in that? Love at first sight?” Asami asked, sitting on the bed. “Not sure, never gave love a chance.” Korra said, looking over to Asami. “You?”“Not many choices when yer father is a soulless king. And when...all the suitors are boys.” Asami finished. For some reason this made Korra blush. She was about to respond when there was a knock on the door. “Aye.” She called out and in walked Bolin. “Aye Bo, did ye get what was needed?” Korra said, coming around the table to clasp arms with him. “Aye Korra.” Bolin said back “Good me Bucko, we leave at dawn tomorrow. You've been thinkin bout Opal joining the creed?” Korra asked, leaning against the desk. Bolin rubbed that back of his neck with a worried look. “Well...I don’t know. I know as a pirate she faces a threat but now she’s gonna be involved with the templars also.”“Well Bo, I know you’ll keep her safe but I don’t tink Opal is just gonna let ya, decide for her.” Korra said, touching his shoulder.  “Ah well yeah, but I can worry right?” Bolin asked.“Of course you can. But yer gotta have faith in her.” Korra reassured. She pulled him in for a hug and looked back at him. “And did yer forget who yer Captain was? You’d think I let something happen to either of ya? Or Mako or Asami. I lay my life down fer you all you know that.”“Aye, I know.” Bo said.“Then don’t worry Bo.” Korra reassured again. They clasped forearms once more and Bo left the two girls alone again. Korra went back to her desk and sat back down. She leaned her head back on her hands and closed her eyes. Asami sat there in the comfortable silence until Korra moved again. LOK Asami returned to the mansion to gather her things before they head out the next day. Korra was generous enough to give her enough reales to buy more clothing, guns and another pair of cutlasses. She opted for an outfit with pants this time around as it was easier for her to move. It was a very different feeling than a dress but she could get used to it. She heard one of the main doors creak and picked her cutlass up for the bed. She stalked around the corner, until she came face to face with a body, she lunged her sword hard and fast but it wasn't quick enough. Her sword was thrown to the ground and a gun was to her gut. “Aye aye, m’lady! It's me!” Korra called out in shock. She quickly removed her flintlock and moved her hand from her cutlass. “Spirits, Jaysus Korra!” Asami called out, almost coming closer to her earth bed. Her hand was over her heart. “What are yer scared fer?” Korra asked as she calmed down. “I thought word hath gotten out. About my exile.” Asami said as she picked up her sword and sheathed it. “Nay, ‘Sami, yer safe here, if dere was a problem, would have had that picaroon's neck.” Korra said. “ But uh yer form was good, had me on guard.” Korra said walking to the bedroom. Asami smiled and trailed after her. “Really Captain?” Asami beamed. Korra softly chuckled, “Aye, m’lady, are thee packed?”“Aye, just finished before you came in. You meet Kidd in a few right?” Asami asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.“Aye, it is of thought to you?”“Aye my Captain I would like to join.” “Nay, you have to earn yer ranks princess. This is for Captain and other ranked pirates.” Korra said, standing with arms folded. “Oi, give me the ranks then, let me know where I stand.” Asami demanded. “Well, Mako is me Sailing Master, he knows these routes. Bolin is me Gunner and second to Mako, while he ain't gunnin he lear’n the water. And Opal me surgeon, left er village to join me the night the Kings navy burned it down. Ranks are earned m’lady not givin.” Korra finished. Asami wasn’t threw with this conversation. “Aye, in me learnings at that castle we learned the various ranks of you pirates, you have no mention of Quartermaster, second hand to the Captain. I could fill that position.”This gave a hard laugh from the Captain, “Oi! Me Quartermaster? You've here for five days, and wanna run the ship?” Korra asked incredulously. Asami crossed her arms, bested. Korra sifted through her thoughts  and gave her a reprieve. “Aye, aye,” She started, “I, got ye here, and it does include yer father, you can sit but you have no word, ye hear?” Korra said in a paternal tone. “Aye Captain!” Asami jumped up. LOK“Aye Cap’n this is me informant, Walpole.” Kidd said as she joined them. They sat in the galley of Kidd's ship, in tow was Opal, Mako, Bolin, and Asami.“Aye Walpole.” Korra said and she clasped hands with him. “Aye Korra,” he said, looking around suspiciously. “Ye bring this many people? Yer secrets may fall out of loose lips.”“Dead men tell no tales.” She said, eyeing him, “Dey may look alive but dere souls are in Davy Jones Locker.” She gripped his forearm a bit harder to finalize her statement. She released and looked back at her crew. Mako sheathed his hidden blade silently and Opal removed her hand from her cutlass. “Now we got the introductions out dey way. What ye got fer us?” Kidd said, breaking the tension. He sits on a barrel and pulls a letter from his chest pocket while eyeing Korra, Korra stood firm and stared back. Walpole slid the paper between his index and middle finger and handed it to Kidd. “Dere’s the location of the sage Roberts, pose to be pulling in Havana in two days. But that ain't all. My informant tells me… Torres, Governor of Havana, and Grand Master of the Caribbean Templar Order, has him in custody. He knows no face of mine, so I can infiltrate the meeting.” Walpole finished. “So where does that leave me and me crew?” Korra asked. “We will wait for the time to strike and we’ll grab him.” Kidd added. Korra hummed, in agreement, but eyed Walpole suspiciously. “I believe dere should be a change in positions,” Korra said walking around the table, “See I don’t trust ye. Torres I believe doesn't know me face that well, I’ll infiltrate the meeting and once Robert's face is shown we can grab him.Walpole rose slowly unsheathing his hidden blade. Korra glinted, and Mako stepped forward ready to stab Walpole if needed.“A problem?” Walpole asked.“I just told ye I don’t trust yer.” Korra said, stepping forward with a hand on her flintlock. “Should we take this outside?” Walpole suggested.“Aye. That’ll be no problem to me. I know a snake with or without its rattler” Korra said, staring dead blue eyes into his soul. His gray eyes never faltered, not afraid of what may come. He moved steadily, motioning them to take it outside. Kidd cleared his throat, catching the attention of them both. It’d be the first fight Asami would get in but she knew she’d defend the captain no matter what. “I’d remind thee, of whose galley we’re in, best rest yer swords, before i have you both fathomed.” Kidd said with folded arms, eyes closed. When he opened them a smirk played across his face, showing that matters were more important than their spat. Korra stood back folding her arms atop her chest, though a hand still on the handle just in case. “Aye, I will bother no more, we have our orders, as long as I get my piece of eight down in Havana.” Korra said, turning around. “Kidd, I’ll see you and yer… informant bright and early tomorrow.” Her and the gang all filed out of the Galley as Kidd turned to finish talking to Wapole. LOKMako looked across the table as Korra leaned back in her chair, feet held up by the side of the table. Her hat pulled over her face, hiding her from the sun. “Korra-”“Don’t start dere mate, you know just like I know that man’s a rattler.” Korra said under her hat. “Aye but you don’t know that plus he is a Master Assassin, in the creed, have to show a bit of respect.” Mako said, sipping his drink.“Oi! That piss rats a ‘Sassin?” Korra said, leaning forward. Mako nodded his head.“Notice his robes?” He asked.‘Yeah so?” She asked matter of factly.“Assassins, as you know, work in the dark to serve the light, when you want to become hidden in plain sight, robes with hoods do the trick. Me and Bo, lesser known Assassins, and being under yer crew don’t wear them much, but a man's face who may have been seen, must stay hidden.” “Ahh how’d a bilge-rat like that make it in.” She said, scoffing.“Oi, he's a talented one, dere.” Mako said, pointing at her, “But, I know that he’d been lectured by a few, even sent back to Tulum where they train us Assassins.” Mako finished.Korra began thinking for a moment, “Yer don’t find it quite suspicious about him having an informant?” She said, eyeing him.“Oi, he could have gotten orders from Tulum.” Mako said reasoning.”I heard that Ah Tabai had he sent with some orders down here” “Whose Ah Tabai?” she asked, taking a sip of her rum.“Our mentor, soon to be yours too… last we were there, that's when Walpole was leaving.” He answered. “Hmm,” She paused, putting two fingers to her temple, ”Say that is so… why would he keep the informant a secret?” Mako paused, “Well because…” he trailed off.“Only ye and Kidd would know mate.” She said tapping her knuckles on the table. She rose, placing her hat on her head. She stopped and turned back to Mako.“Matey, keep yer eyes open tonight, I may have poked a shark.” She warned him. Mako leaned back, thinking over what she said.LOKKorra walked into the Manor, to be safe, she made sure to check the extra rooms and halls, as night started to fall upon them. She had been walking the manor for a few minutes before she heard quite sniffling. Korra peered around the corner, Asami sat on the chair huddled over. Korra looked into the mirror that sat at the side of the room, and saw Asami holding on to the letter the king sent. Oh Asami. Korra thought, as sorrow filled her heart. She knew that Asami wasn’t past her exile or her fathers harsh words, but Korra thought that maybe her turning to a new life may have made up for it. Korra wasn’t one for emotions, she wasn’t sure what she should do to console the ex-princess. She quietly walked in and placed a hand on the back of the chair. Asami’s sobs began to wrack her body as she tried to hold her cries in. “Asami…” Korra started.“I-I know I shouldn’t be crying, but my own father, he…” She was cut off by her cries. “He let me go as if I were nothing. Just as he did my mother.” She said as more tears streamed down her face. “W-what happened to your mother?” Korra asked, kneeling down in front of her. She placed a hand on her thigh, rubbing circles, trying to sooth her. “U-um…” She trailed off trying to compose herself. “She died when I was younger, got sick and passed away. While she was sick I would stay with her while my father left to do whatever. When he came back he cursed her for not bearing him a boy. After she passed…he began taking his anger out on me, saying that I was the only child he had and that I should have been a boy. Even then, I thought I meant at least a bit to him, but he rather me killed or casted away than to pay a sum, that he would get back off the poor.”“I-Im so sorry m’lady, I know yer mother is still watching over you.Yer father was nothing but a ruthless man that didn’t deserve either of you.” Korra said as she rubbed her raven locks softly, holding her own tears back.“I-I just feel so alone…both parents are gone now and I’ve no semblance of my old life or my mother.” Asami said as she laid her head on Korra’s shoulder. Korra sighed and closed her eyes. “I know how ye feel…but the feeling gets a little less lonely m’lady.” Asami looked up at her jade eye sparkling from tears.“You lost yer parents?” Asami asked, as she looked into Korra's eyes. She could see Korra’s eyes take her back in time through her memories. She slowly nodded her head and exhaled deeply.“Aye, as I told ye, me family lived in the South Pole. Me father was a sailor, he’d been traveling for a year before he returned. He told us of a land, opposite of ours, called Africa. We were to move there to start a new life, somewhere that wasn’t so cold as he put it. He said he found er new job trading, and that it would bring much wealth to our family. Me mother believed in him so much that we followed his lead. We packed all that we could, and the day we left I found Naga, she was injured as a baby and on our trip to Africa I nursed her back to health. As we closed in on Africa, our ship was attacked…they jumped aboard, pointing long guns at us. One by one they chained us together and then boarded us on their ship. We were sent down under the boat, we could hear crying and moaning as we walked down the dark space. Our shackles were tied to a metal bar and we were made to sit on top of each other. Me father held me and my mother closely, trying to calm us. Once me eyes adjusted to the dark I could see there were hundreds of others down there too, chained and shackled just like us. I looked at me father and asked what was going on, he told me not to worry and everything will be okay…” Korra’s eyes turned to a misty gray as the story unfolded, Asami knew where this was headed and covered her mouth as her eyes watered. “...I wasn't sure how long we were on that boat, I know many died, when it was daylight, I could see through a hole in the ship, and the dead bodies they had taken earlier, one by one were pulled into the ocean. It was body then chain then body then chain, as this happened until we stopped. After that I wasn’t sure what would happen next, I just know me father had said everything would be okay. For the first time in what felt like weeks I stood on me own two legs. We were pushed out of the dark space and it felt like the sun would burn me eyes if I even opened them. Once me eyes opened I could see dere were many with my same skin complexion and darker that were chained and shackled like we were. They moved us to the middle of the town and all I can remember was being yelled at. I looked at me father and I could see how broken he was but he never let his emotion show. After that they separated me and my mother from me father. I tried to hold on but they ripped me from him, hitting me and throwing me into me mother. They told us to undress and threw water on us. I was to be a housemaid, same as me mother but when they saw my lower region, and that I had an male anatomy than females, I was told I was going to be in the field. I was taken back with me father and that was the last I saw of me mother. It wasn’t until a year or so passed, I understood the meaning of what a slave was…“Korra I-I’m so sorry that happen-” Korra cut her off with a sad smile“No worries m’lady deres nothing you could do now, it's in the past.” Korra said, wiping the stray tear that fell from Asami’s eye. They both sat there for a moment in silence as they took in what each told the other. Asami then quietly asked.“And of your father?”“H-he was a hard working man through and through, worked twice as long as any other, I tried to stay with him at most times, but I was too young to last all day like he did. One day I was playing with the other kids as the men and women worked, and we thought it would be funny to sneak and eat some of the sugar canes we had picked. We weren't the sneaky little rats we thought we were as the Overseer noticed. All of us in the field were lined up, and asked who ate some of the cane, no one came forth, we were all scared for our lives. Then he pointed at me and told me to come forward. I looked over to me father and that's the first I’ve seen his emotions show. The Overseer told us that if no one from the children and grownups came forward I would receive 20 lashings. Me father said it was him before I could even understand what were happenin. Since he were older, he got more than I would have. After the hundredth lashing I could see his life drain from him. I was dere a few years after he passed, I wasn't sure how, or what I should do other than work. Then one night, pirates came and raided the plantation of sugar and money. I left with them and never looked back..” Korra trailed off as her eyes started focusing on the present, she never told any one of her past because she didn’t trust them or fear of getting sent back. They sat there for what seemed like hours holding each other as they tried to free each other from their hurt. Asami, not sure what to say about Korra’s childhood, rubbed her hair softly as she tried to console Korra. Korra’s body went stiff and Asami lifted her head up. She saw the captain tell her to stay quiet as she quietly moved to get her swords. Korra heard something moving outside the manor as she left the back doors open that night. She quickly moved behind one of the hall pillars to peak around the corner. Once it was clear to move she moved forward to the open doors. She quietly stepped outside slowly making her way around the side of the manor. “Oi mate, give it up! I know yer dere.” She called out, readying her swords for a sneak attack. In the light of the moon she could see a hooded figure move into her line of sight. She smirked, “Avast ye came to finish what ye started, huh Walpole?” His low laugh rose as his eye glinted in the moon, he pulled his hood back and revealed his face. “You know Captain, the only time I show me face is when it's the last thing me target sees.”“Is that so? I suppose I have to make yer earthbed sooner than ye thought.” She said, smirking. She braced for his attack as he lunged towards her. She was able to parry his first attack and he landed a heavy blow. She winced at the force but was able to stand her ground throwing his weight back. He stumbled a bit, and Korra took this as a chance to regain the offense. But, he was quick, years of an Assassin, had her numbered on her years as a pirate, and the gap began to grow, every hit she would parry but it would make her counter attack slower. He was able to stop her counter and hit her in the nose with the handle of his sword, she fell back and tried to swing her sword, but he kicked it away as he pinned her hand down with his foot. He smiled at her, as he pulled his flintlock out of its holster.“Oh to kill the famous Korra ‘ The one who holds the sea in her eyes’. Oi, how happy they would be to see yer head on a stick.” Korra’s eyes showed no fear as she reached for her own flintlock from her chest, but she wasn’t quick enough. He kicked the gun from her hand and stood on it. Korra smiled as she thought this would be the last she’d breathe. She closed her eyes waiting for her to meet her maker.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Heaven, you fool? Did you ever hear of any pirates going thither? Give me hell, it’s a merrier place.” ― Thomas Sutton

Death felt heavy to Korra, it seemed like a sudden impact not just a hit from one shot, she thought, as the pain seemed to hit and feel heavy everywhere.

Death seems so alive

. She said to herself as her conscience still streamed, even though her airways felt restricted she still felt the sensation to breathe and…feel. Blue eyes burst open as she took in a deep breath breathing heavily and quickly. She could see the world around her still intact and the heaviness she felt wasn’t her death, but Walpole’s. She quickly slid from under him using her legs and back of her arms to quickly get from him to grab her swords just in case. She looked over trying to find the direction the shot came from. Her eye led her back to the heaving princess as her arm was still extended and chest moving up and down deeply from shock. Her eyes betrayed her first kill as she stood their eyes wide but not seeing. As not to startle her, Korra slowly got up staying out of the line of sight of the flintlock and slowly came to her side until she was behind her, lowering her arm with the gun to Asami’s side. She quickly removed the gun and holstered it.

“M’lady…” She slowly called, trying to gain Asami’s attention. She knew that the shock was going to wear off eventually but no one

ever

forgot their first kill. She was just happy that Asami’s first, saved her life. She called out Asami’s name again, gaining her attention slightly this time. “Breathe m’lady, yer okay dere.” Korra tried to pat her back but Asami quickly ran to the bush and doubled over, vomiting violently. Once done she lifted herself back up wiping her mouth as tears streamed down from throwing up. Korra slowly walked to her with a gentle expression.

“You okay dere, princess?” Korra asked

“Aye, I-I don’t know, I just saw you and I shot.” She sputtered out.

“Aye, you saved me skin dere, ‘Sami. I owe you.” Korra said gently, holding her shoulders. She could see Asami still shaken but she didn’t want to be over concerned as anyone’s first kill will always traumatize them. She could hear footsteps grow closer, as she quickly spun on her heels freeing her flintlock from her holster staring down the barrel for whatever picaroon was next. She quickly dropped as she saw Mako and Bolin, come with their swords drawn. She reached her hand up to let them know to stand down.

“Captain!” Mako yelled as he ran closer.

“Aye matey, I’m okay!” Korra called back as they got closer. Bolin made sure to check any other surroundings as they closed in on Korra. Mako checked over her for any wounds, making sure that Opal wasn’t needed.

“What the hell happened here Captain?” Mako asked exasperated. After Korra’s last words to him, he knew to keep an eye out and an ear open. But he didn’t think something would actually happen. He looked past Korra and saw the hooded figure crumbled on the ground, a trail of blood leading away from his body. “Who’s the Bilge-rat?” Mako spat.

“Dat dere fella was Kidds informant, believed he could send me on me way. But Asami saved me skin.” Korra said, looking over at Asami, placing a hand on her shoulder in comfort. Asami was still shaken about taking a man's life but she was starting to calm down a bit. She realized what she did had to be done, but was this something she could truly deal with? Taking someone's life to keep another? She wasn’t sure what was right or wrong but in the situation she knew she wouldn't let

her

Captain die. She managed a weak smile at Korra and the others.

“Thank you for saving our Cap’n.” Mako said, gently rubbing her shoulders, he could see the stress on her face but only she could heal from this. He stepped back slightly surveying the area. He quickly turned his head, thinking he saw something in the corner of his eye. Walpole began to stir slightly, wracking his cumbled body against the ground. He quickly unsheathed his hidden blade ready to strike the final blow. A hand was on his chest in mere moments. He looked down and saw that it was Korra’s.

“Aye Cap?”, He looked questioningly at her, sheathing his blade.

“Mako help me get him up, see what he’s got on him.” He followed behind her, picking Walpole. They stood on both sides lifting him up by his forearms. His head dangled toward his chest as he groaned in pain. Blood leaked from the hole in his blue robes, trailing on the ground behind him as he was dragged inside. He was thrown roughly into a chair and was bound quickly. His head lolled to the side as his breath began ragged, blood trickled from his mouth with a mixture of slob.

A sharp edge cut into his chin, as it lifted his head. His eyes rolled, as his vision blurred.

“Search him Bolin.” Bolin roughly pushed him into the back of the chair patting his chest down and reaching inside of the robe, he pulled out some blood stained papers luckily Asami’s shot pulled to the right and didn't blow a hole in them. Bolin raised his hand up with the papers folded between his index and middle finger. The blood dripped and stained his wrist as he handed it over to Mako. Korra looked over her shoulder at him, “What is dat dere matey?” She roughly removed the sword, making his head jerk toward his chest. His head rolled as it landed on his shoulder. He shakily lifted his head groaning as he tried to speak.

“Heh…welcome to the utopian…you filthy pirates.” Walpole croaked out as he spat blood on his knee. He heaved hard trying to suck on the remaining air. She walked over to Mako as he read.

Walpole it would be great to meet with you in Havana, as promised in our earlier letters, when you hand over the maps of the Assassins hideout in Tulum, you will be rewarded handsomely, and be known as one of the Founding Fathers of the New world.

Be of haste Mr. Walpole, we will meet at noon in three days.

Governor Torres.

Korra raised her eyebrow at this and looked over at Walpole.

“Seems like yer Master Assassin is a bilge sucking traitor.” Korra said, looking at Mako. His eyebrows furrowed as rage pierced his hazel eyes. Mako unsheathed his hidden blade again ready to finish him off. Again, Korra held him back.

“Dis is not yer kill Mako, he betrayed ye Creed but he betrayed Kidd first. We’ll let Kidd deal with it, we’ll lock him up here and head fer Havana tomorrow. It's a day trip and it'll get us dere bout the time Walpole meets Torres. Get some sleep, gonna be a busy couple of days.” She said, patting his back. He reluctantly sheathed his blade and stepped back.

“I will keep a few of the crew posted around just in case.” Mako said. Korra knew not to disagree when he got like this. So used to being a parent to Bolin he from time to time, would parent her too.

“Aye dere Mako. I'll keep a close eye on Asami, she still seems to be shaken up.” Korra said, looking back over to the princess. She was leaning against the wall in her own head.

xXx

Soft sounds of water echoed across the bathroom walls, Korra sat on the outside of the tub, slowly rinsing water over Asami’s shoulders. Asami sat there with her knees to her chest staring off into the distance. Korra continued to softly wash her shoulders and back, taking the silence in as she let Asami figure out her mental battle. She didn't want to speak too soon as it may fall on deaf ears, so she waited for Asami. It seemed time stalked slowly, before Asami opened her mouth. It made Korra’s skin jump as if she had not heard that beautiful sound in a millenia. Korra moved to the side of the tub so that she could look at Asami. Asami’s eye held tight on to the wall in front of her as she released a shaky sigh. “W-was your first kill so…numbing?” Korra was taken aback by this question. She fell backwards softly on her butt as she leaned against the wall. Her legs stretched out in front of her and crossed at the ankle. Her signature hat sat next to her as she leaned her head back on the wall.

“Well dere ‘Sami my first kill was when I was bout 13. But I’ve been dead and numb since me Father died…” Korra said as her eyes lost all of life. It seemed that Davy Jones had her soul before it could even leave her body.

“But who was your first kill and was it not so surreal Cap’n?” Asami asked, trying to find some comfort or belonging in the Captain’s words. But Asami only knew what the captain had told her, not what else she lived through. She was talking to a dead man, and dead men have no

souls

…

“Me first kill m’lady, made me smile…” Korra said as she stared into Asami’s eyes. Blue orbs sent shivers through the green-eyed body. Asami stared at her with her breath hitched in her mouth. Korra’s smile faded as her face went serious. “Ye won’t be able to find solace in me, princess, when you’ve been on both sides of wrong, it gets hard to tell who was really

right.”

Korra got up and placed her hat back on her head. “I’m gonna go walk the perimeter, you stay here for a while, I’ll be back to get ye.” She walked out without another word.

Asami sat there as Korra’s words played in her mind.  How was she supposed to know what she did was right or wrong? She saved the Captain's life, how could that be wrong?

She's a pirate… But so am I now….Am I really?

She sank into the water and stayed there for a moment.

What does she mean she smiled…? Is the captain seriously some ghostface killer, without any remorse? Do I even really know her?

She began to feel the need to breathe again and she rose from the water. She wasn’t sure if she could ever take someone's life again but she knew whatever the reason was it was going to be justified. She realized her internal battle was not of what she thought of was right or wrong itself but what the perspective of others morality that pierced hers. In this world sometimes right and wrong weren’t so clear cut, but she knew one instance of wrong that was, and that was her father. She vowed from this moment forward that she will be the one who cuts her father down. She rose out of the water as the water fell free from her into the bath.

Kidd turned his head to the side as he looked between the papers and Wapole. “Yer a bilge-rat there Walpole.” Kidd said as he leaned over Walpole with his foot on the arm-rest. “But…it seems ye at least wer’nt any entire scallywag.” He looked back at Korra and everyone else, “It seems we will go as planned to Havana to see Torres and the Sage Roberts. But ye there Korra will take Walpole spot, we are going to give them fake maps and I will send word to the Creed to be prepared just in case.” Korra nodded her head and stepped forward to clasp hands with Kidd. She peered past him and looked at Walpole.

“And him, Kidd?” Korra asked. Kidd gave his signature smirk and looked back at Walpole then to her.

“Don’t worry dere Cap’n, me and Mako will take care of him, ye all head to the ship, and once I’m to mine we will set out.”

“Aye.” Korra said, understanding his meaning.

Korra helped Asami down the pathway to the ship, as they passed the tavern they could hear the sound of a flintlock go off and birds flutter quickly everywhere. Korra grimaced, but knew it had to be done. She spat at the bilge-rat and kept walking. Asami jumped a bit at the sound of the gun, though she was several hundred feet from it, it still shook her. She quickly tighten her face as she told herself to brush it off and push forward.

They had been sailing into the night, when Asami had finally tired and returned to the Captain’s Cabin, though the crew accepted her Asami wasn’t sure where to sleep since she’d always slept with Korra. It seemed not to bother Korra because when they first boarded the ship, she directed Asami to put her things in the Captain’s cabin. Though the ship was a magnificent size it was no Man O War. But it was big enough to house the top ranking crew in their own rooms while the rest of the crew shared one big space. Mako, Bolin and Opal had their own places to sleep, which left Asami.

She slowly opened the door so as not to disturb the Captain if she were sleeping. But, once she fully entered the dimly lit room, she saw the captain at her desk, with something in her hand. She saw that it was the betrothal necklace her father had given her mother and the one she almost put around her neck. She blushed at that thought and how Korra felt behind her when she looked at herself in the grimey mirror. She touched her neck and it felt oddly cold as if it missed the warmth of the necklace. “Finally thinking about the pretty girl you want to settle down with?” Asami asked, smiling as she leaned against the door frame. Korra smirked as she closed her hand around the pendant of the necklace and looked at Asami.

“I’ll let yer know if I find someone prettier than ye m’lady.” Korra said standing up, closing the distance. “Until then I guess, I’m stuck with yer.”

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“It is a blessing for a man to have a hand in determining his own fate.” ― Blackbeard

“I think…I’m okay with that Cap’n.” Asami said trailing off as she leaned in to kiss Korra. She vaguely remembered the kiss with Korra since they were both off some thunderclap, but it felt sublime. She could feel Korra’s calloused hands moving up and down the side of her hips as she deepened the kiss.  Korra stumbled back a bit and met the bed at the back of her knee. She fell onto the bed briefly breaking them apart. Their chest heaved as they looked at each other. Korra returning back to reality was the first one to speak. “Listen if yer not comfortable…” She was cut off by Asami straddling her waist. She groaned as Asami leaned down to kiss her ear.  “I trust you Korra.” Asami said as she looked back at Korra's blue eyes. Korra leaned up and kissed her back harder as she grounded Asami’s center into hers. Asami felt a slight nudge at her center and smiled into the kiss thinking how easy it was to get her Captain this turned on. She wasn’t one to have many nights like these but Asami knew what to do. She pressed her center back down on Korra bulge and elected another moan from her. This time it was more strained as if Korra were trying to hold back. She pulled back from Korra which she grunted at but quickly turned into a moan once she saw Asami’s top come off, her pale breast sat on display for Korra as she ran her eyes over the free’d skin. Asami turned her head to the side to hide her blush as Korra’s free hand roamed her chest, kneading softly. She let out a soft whimper as Korra’s mouth wrapped around her nipple. She sucked and licked as Asami fidgeted in her arms. Asami let her head fall back as Korra hit a sensitive spot and let out a moan. Korra smiled into her chest as she drew long and sensual strokes. It was quite different from the nights she would have to get her rocks off, it was more about her pleasure than the whores. Now, she want’s Asami to feel this feeling for a long time. She instinctively grabbed Asami’s waist harder, feeling her ground down on Korra. The motion made Korra harder and a part of her really wanted to get her release but she knew Asami was different. She slowly flipped them over until she hovered over Asami.  Bright green eyes looked away from her trying to hide her nervousness. “Don’t worry der princess, I’ll take care of ye.” Korra leaned down and captured her lips in a passionate kiss. It wasn’t as sweet as it was before, but a melding hunger burning between the two. Korra pulled away briefly to take her shirt off only leaving her top half in her chest bindings.  Asami ran her hand up Korra’s abdomen, receiving a slight shiver from Korra. Korra smirked as she pressed her knee between Asami’s legs. She could feel the warm dampness forming and it only made her harder. Asami started grinding against Korra unintentionally, silently pleading for something else. “Captain…” Asami whispered, and she grasped for the hem of Korra's pants.  “Aye m’lady?” Korra said as she slowly trailed her tongue over Asami’s neck pressing deeper between her legs.  Asami moaned before she could reply “please…”  Korra pulled back so she could pull her pants down. She stood proud, in front of Asami, but quickly had a moment of embarrassment when she saw Asami staring.  “Err…let's get yer pants off.” Korra said, looking to the side so her blush couldn't be seen. She wasn’t used to being this thrown off guard when cracking Jenny's tea cup. But spirits was this something different. She was never one to care about the other finishing or even how they looked while in the throes of it. But looking into Asami’s eyes, and seeing how much she wanted it, made her want to cum right then.  She expected Asami to slide her pants off and lay back on the bed and invite her. But she was mistaken, as Asami softly kneeled on the floor in front of her, hands pressed on both sides of the Captain’s thighs. “A-sam-” “Shhh, let me…” Asami trailed off as she began stroking Korra. This was something fairly new to her but she felt that she could manage. She wasn’t sure what took over her but seeing the captain show some embarrassment to Asami made her even wetter and more lustful. She had to have Korra in her but she wanted to taste her first. As she moved her hands along the turgid shaft, soft moans echoed through the room as Korra leaned her head back. Asami saw how her hands made Korra almost crumble, she wonder what would happen if- Korra wasn’t sure when Asami’s mouth wrapped around her dick, but that was the moment her knee almost gave out, she quickly caught herself but it was at the expense of Asami’s head. Quickly latching her hand through her raven tresses, it felt like the only way her feet wouldn’t slip through the ship's floorboards and into the dark sea, getting lost in time forever. She felt Asami moving back and forth almost as if she was testing or experimenting with what triggered Korra. Though being previously warned that Asami was quite new to this Korra wasn’t sure if it was Asami’s constant actions, her wanting this for a while, or that fact she had the King’s daughter wrapped around her filling her mouth. May have been a culmination of all three, but each passing thought became more incoherent as each pass of Asami’s tongue glided along the underside of her.  Asami honestly loved this feeling, being able to hold the Captain in such a predicament that she couldn’t control her actions or words or the way she filled her mouth, had her in ecstasy. She knew that she liked how dominant the captain was but she didn’t realize how much she liked how the captain couldn’t restrain herself from grasping her head and moving it forward to meet with ever strained thrust. She quicked up her pace and elicited more moans from Korra.

“Asami- please I’m going to cum.” Korra groaned out as she leaned her head back again. Her abs began clenching as she felt the familiar rush, but she wanted to hold out. She still hadn’t treated Asami. Her eyes opened as she tried to calm herself down. New to actually caring about the other person's experience, she slowly held Asami's head in place so that Asami’s ministrations could stop. Asami slightly whined out of confusion when Korra removed her shaft from Asami’s mouth.  “Captain?” Asami questioned, confused. Korra guided her up and laid her back on the bed. She removed Asami’s pants from her and climbed on top of her. She hovered over her taking in her flush skin and all of her beauty. Asami wasn’t sure what to do so her nervousness led her to remove the Captain’s chest bindings but they were stopped in their pursuit. Another confused look crossed Asami's face but was quickly removed when Korra smashed their lips together. Full of passion they both didn’t stop until they couldn’t breathe. This turned Asami on even more and unknowingly her lower half began grinding to get closer to Korra to gain some sort of friction. Korra chuckled as she saw the princesses' impatience. Using one hand to keep her hovering over Asami, she snaked another down the plain of her stomach and between her velvety lips. Once feeling how wet Asami was, Korra wanted nothing more than to slide her cock inside of her. She held strong though, trying to give Asami the best she had. She ran her fingers through the wet folds of Asami’s center, eliciting a surprised moan from her. “Noone’s ever touched yer like this princess?”  Asami whimpered, victim to the captain's ministrations. Korra rubbed through her folds again slowly playing with her bulb as she reached the top. “Answer me, princess.” Korra demanded, as she pushed more into Asami’s clit. “N-no Captain.” Asami whimpered out. “Good. And no one else e’vr will.” Asami moaned out when she felt two fingers enter her at once. It was new but it felt good. She of course experimented with her own hands but it compared to nothing she felt now. Korra moved in and out, going deeper than the last time. Asami’s moans grew more frequent and louder, she tried to put a hand over her mouth but it was removed.  “Let it out.” Korra whispered in her ear.  “Korra, I need you i-in me.” Asami struggled to get out. Korra grinned as she removed her hand from Asami’s pussy.  “Beg me, princess.”

“Captain, please fuck me…” Asami whispered, leaning up to Korra’s ear. This made Korra groan as she began to line herself up to Asami’s entrance.  Korra looked into emerald eyes and she pushed in.  xXxKorra laid there as Asami curled into her arms. She drew small circles on her arm as she stared at the ship’s ceiling. “What if I get pregnant?” Asami asked, cutting the silence. “Don’t worry m’lady. We have fresh lemons in the galley. It’ll help prevent you from caring for little Korra.” Korra smiled into Asami’s hair. Though not minding having a child with the beautiful woman in her arms, she knew just like with any other woman she slept with she couldn’t be a parent.  Especially not now, knowing what they were about to embark on. “Oh sure it won’t be little Asami?” Asami quipped back smiling into Korra’s chest. Korra chuckled at the thought. “Well she’d definitely be a fighter, a good shot too.”  A comfortable silence cascaded over them again until Asami spoke again.  “Captain?” “Hmm?” Korra said sleepily.  “Why didn’t you let me remove your chest bindings?” Korra’s blue eyes opened as she blankly stared at the woodend ceiling. Her blue eyes darkening from past tragedies she mentally tried to hide but…physically unable too.  “To hide the scars of me past m’lady.” Asami didn’t question further knowing that it would be something that the captain would share with her at a later time.  xXx

Korra sat at the wheel of the ship as they pulled into Havana. She watched as the town grew closer to her. Signaling the start of her mission. She dressed in the Assassin’s garb that Kidd had taken from Duncan. Mako and Bolin joined her donning the same outfit as her. “Aye cappy, mornin’” Bolin greeted as he sat next to her. Mako rounded around leaning against the railing.  “Yer ready, there?” Mako questioned. Korra seemed calm, her legs were crossed as she was greeted with the familiar push of budding up against the dock. “Aye, that I am Mako. Ye ready?” She said pointing to the two. “Aye, will be close behind just in case.” Mako answered as he sheathed his cutlass. She could see Kidd’s ship pull in behind theirs as she jumped off the edge of her boat. Asami stood next to her side. Korra looked over to her and gave her a small smile. “It’s all gonna be okay der princess.” Korra said, trying to calm her. Truth be told Asami was quite a nervous and excited bundle. This would be her first real stint as a pirate and wasn’t sure how it all was going to pan out. She knew though that she would do whatever to protect her captain and the crew.

Orders had been given before leaving the dock. She didn’t want to seem suspicious, not entirely sure of who was the eye of the enemy. She was told in the letter to meet at the governor's outdoor compound. Once breaking away from the crew she pulled forward the hood concealing who she was. She silently moved with the crowd as she made her way to Torres. She could sense Mako and Bolin on either side of her, as they scaled the buildings before posting up around the surrounding roofs of the governor's grounds. She slowly pushed through the doors as she was greeted with guards. She knew Asami wanted to be in the middle of the action but she was to wait close to the docks just in case Korra was found out.

“Ah Mr. Walpole, we finally meet.” A man with a heavy accent said as he approached Korra. In her mild confusion she wasn’t sure how she was found out so quickly. “Ahh please don’t be so surprised, it's not everyday one turns their back on the creed. Your outfit speaks your story but your heart yearns for something else. Isn't that right?” Torres said as he went to greet ‘Wapole’. He clasped Korra’s shoulder tightly as he pushed her forward. She still hadn’t uttered a single word to him, thinking it’d be better to let this play out. Once through the clearing they made their way to a gazebo that held a massive table and to men who Korra was sure to give her some problems if she were found out. Through her silent observation they all seem to be here on the same accord.  “Now, shall we get down to business?” Torres clasped his hands together as they all were gathered around the table. Korra kept her head slightly lowered as she peered up through the hood to observe what was going on. She could see the shorter haired one looking at her distrustful hand slightly on his hilt. The other watched the group as he leaned against the post with his arms folded ready to get this over.  “Please Mr Wapole, no need to get fancy that outfit anymore, especially not on your induction into the templars today. Korra’s eyes widened slightly but she kept her surprise concealed to herself. She slowly lifted her head as she pulled the hood back. She wasn’t sure if she was known around these parts but the look of surprise on the three mens faces gave her a feeling of dread.
Oh shit.
xXx “I’ll be he’s a bitch?” The longer haired one called out. He seemed to be more interested in the conversation now as he pushed up from the post. The shorter haired one held the same level as distrust before she revealed who she was. She was a bit relieved that they were more shocked that she was a woman than knowing who she was. But she still had to fight shooting the one who called her a bitch in the face. She made a mental note that after this charade was over she’d have him with davy jones soon enough. “Yes I am a woman, is there a problem? I had to hide my gender because I know how you all take women lightly. But don’t be fooled,” She paused as her cutlass drew from her holster and pointed squarely at the longer haired one's neck. He gave a wide grin as he threw his hands up, backing away to his previous spot.  “N-no problem.” Torres called through his heavy accent. ‘Just surprised at the hidden truth. You assassin’s are great at that.” He glinted. “Yes, well I couldn’t risk being caught. Knowing how few of us women there are.” She said standing a bit more confidently. They seemed to take her lie well so she’d relax for a bit.  “Ahh understood. Well shall we begin the induction?” Torres said. Korra, still confused about being inducted, called out.“What about the information regarding what we talked about?” Korra tried to find a way to stall the induction, but to no avail.  Torres shook his head as he looked in Korra’s direction. “No rush, in due time we will talk about what we discussed and your payment. Mere hours went by as the induction for her and who she now knows as  Woodes Rodgers, the short haired one, and Julien Du Casse, as the long haired one. Once all formal inductions were over they met back at the table to discuss what she was there for.  “The observatory gentleman and, uh lady…is what we are after.” He said, looking away from them with his hand behind his back. He turned around to face them with a grin. To be part of the new world order where we can control the will of all. We will be using what maps 'Walpole has graciously given us to finally wipe out the Assassins Creed temple down here. This is not only just an Assassin’s creed base, but the base where they train everyone. Once they are out the way, we will align ourselves with the king as we all conquer the observatory and watch the world from our thrones.  ------
Two days earlier.

Korra and Kidd decided to meet up alone to hash out what may go wrong and what second options they had. Korra sat there with her legs kicked up as she downed another cup of rum. She listened as Kidd talked on about what will happen when they capture Roberts and how once the reach the Assassins Temple how her and Asami will learn the way of the creed.

“Aye, their captain, we found Wapole giving up the location of the temple, but ye see we’re going to give them fakes. Take these.” Kidd says as he handed her the dupes.

“Aye so I’ll give these up to Torres, gain dere reward and get ol’ Roberts once we catch wind of em’?” Korra reiterated.

“Aye cappy. Once we have Roberts we head to the temple and then the observatory…”

------
Korra reached into her satchel as she handed over the maps to Torres. He graciously took them from her hand as he looked over them. A grin as sinister and delectable as candy to a person with cavities crossed his face. Korra cleared her throat as she wanted to get out of there. “And my reward?” Korra stated, looking at Torres. She smiled as he put the maps down. “Of course Wapole, the reward arrives tomorrow with the Sage. Let’s meet in the morning at the docks.” Torres said as he began clearing his stuff from the table. The sun was starting to sink into the late evening. “Please make yourself at home at our many bars or brothels.” He said to all of them before returning into his mansion with his guards. Korra made sure to turn down some side streets so as to not get caught up by Woodes and Julien. She still wasn’t out of the clear yet as they were technically behind enemy lines.  She kept herself hidden down dimly lit roads and crowded areas as she made her way back to the docks. She sensed someone following her, not sure if she should just blend into the crowd or turn down a dark alley and wait for the assailant. To her luck it had been the brothers who were able to sneak and catch up to her. Them being the masters of the shadows still didn’t click with her but damn where they good. They silently walked with each other following a comfortable stranger distance until they were able to file on the ship.  Once comfortable in the Captain’s Cabin all of them were able to take a breath. Asami joined them a few moments later when she and Opal got word they were back. Asami was finally able to relax after hours on end of tension. Opal tried to calm her nerves knowing this was her first real mission. Korra just nodded toward her as she entered.  “Aye so what of the sage?” Mako asked, thinking that they would be capturing him today. “Aye Roberts, arrives tomorrow morning. We will meet  at the docks to greet him. That’s when we will strike.” She said as she looked around them. Kidd nodded slowly with his eyes shut.  “Aye we will need to have some posted on top of the buildings in the wee hours so that we can already be in position. We will have the rest of the crews blending in with the crowds and once we give the signal that's when we attack and capture the sage.” Kidd finished.  A round of ‘Aye’s’ lit the room as everyone was in agreement. A while later assignments were given to those who would be taking post on the surrounding buildings of the docks. It was perfect that they were meeting there because the crewmen wouldn’t be out of place.

Korra rose that morning prepared to carry out their plan. She kissed Asami as she walked up behind her. Fixing her holsters as she looked at them through the grimey mirror. “Ready Captain?” Asami asked, turning around. “Aye, I am.” Korra said as she pulled away from Asami. She gave her a lopsided grin before leaving her ship. Korra waited for a few moments until she was greeted by the rough voice of Julien Du Casse. “Morning there.” He said as he came to stand next to her. “Morning, Du Casse.” She replied to him as she stared out to the sea. She began to see a ship slowly coming in as Torres and Woodes joined them. The ship docked and the crew filed out seemingly happy to be on land finally. The last person to come out was handcuffed with tight binds of rope.
Roberts.
Korra watched as he shuffled down the dock and to their group. His different colored eyes caught her attention. He glared over to her and she felt taken aback for a second. There was definitely some sort of power deep within those eyes. Something of eyes that have seen over ten thousand years of life. He said nothing more than a grunt as he was pulled forward against his will. She followed in line behind them as Torres began galavanting about his capture, Roberts. “Ah Roberts your powers have fallen into the right hands, once we take the observatory your name will be known around the world.” Torres went on in his speech unbeknownst to him.

Korra was ready to give the signal but was cut off from a loud explosion followed by a dust cloud. She looked around for her crew to figure out what went amiss, but they were just as shocked as she was. That wasn’t their attack someone else had attacked. Korra unsheathed her cutlass as she was ready to stop whoever intervened. The smoke clouded her vision so she was only able to attack whoever attacked her first. Once her sword went through a few of the assailants she turned to find the sage. She covered her nose and mouth as the dust began making it hard to breathe. There she could see the Sage standing in the middle of the commotion with a smirk on his face. She tried to reach out to him to grab him but his restraints were gone and he disappeared with the cloud of dust.  She was thrown to the ground and a body landed on top of her. She began quickly fighting free. “Captain it’s me, we have to go now. The templars are surrounding us. We must go.” She could hear Mako’s strained voice as they tried to use the cover of the smoke to leave.  “W-what happened? Who attacked?” Mako was tense and fear struck his face.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“Damn ye, you are a sneaking puppy, and so are all those who will submit to be governed by laws which rich men have made for their own security.” -”Black” Sam Bellamy

Once the smoke started to clear Korra could see hooded figures lying across the ground, she was confused as to what happened but she did what had to do to protect her and her crew mates. She saw a couple of the enemies she cut down in the heat of the moment and retrieved her cutlass. Mako tried to hurry her back to the ship so she wouldn’t be seen. Now on board the ship the crew and Kidd met up in the captain’s cabin. “What in the bloody hell was that?!” Korra exclaimed, in anger. “Who was the bilge-rat who fucked this up?” Korra continued, trying to figure out who set off the explosion. She paced back and forth around the table as the crew looked at her. “Captain,” Mako said trying to calm her, “There were Assassins laid dead in the street. We thin-” “Assassins?!” She called out in shock. “What were bloody assassins doin here?” “Cappy, we think they caught word of Walpole’s bilge-rat ways. We both converged on the same target and this happened.” Kidd said, waving his hands around to emphasize what happened and trying to piece the failed attempt together.

“How could yer creed and you know nothing of the same plan?” Korra questioned. Kidd sighed and sat on the wooden chair by the table, “Wapole overheard a few of us talking about the observatory…not many knew of it or what power it held. So once Walpole approached me about it, him being a Master Assassin and all, I believed he hath already heard about it. He brought to my attention the whereabouts of Roberts, but I don’t think that bilge-rat expected me to partner with ye all.” He paused, “ As fer the assassins who set off the surprise attack today, I think word had caught on that Wapole betrayed the creed and now here we are without Roberts.” He finished his speculations and it seemed to ease the tension in the room. Korra leaned forward over the table, “And what about finding the sage now?” She asked, trying to figure out how to finish the mission.

“Aye matey, I have a few of my trusted crew mates trying to find him now. We now just have to wait and be patient, or we’ll all be dancing with Jack ketch with no quarter to give. I’ll be back with news once we catch word captain.” Kidd placed a warm hand to Korra’s tensed shoulder, trying to calm her. They locked eyes as he nodded before taking his leave. Korra hung her head and breathed deeply.  “Aye Korra…don’t worry we will get Roberts.” Mako tried to reassure but Korra shook her head.xXxBy time night fell, Korra had her feet propped against her table in the captain’s cabin. She had been waiting for word from Kidd but his men had yet to find Roberts. The old almost burnt out candle sat in the corner and flickered dimly over the room. Casting shadows over Korra’s darkened skin. Dancing shadows flickered back and forth around the weathered map covered walls, bringing life to past voyages and foretelling unknown ones to come. She wondered when she became one of the select few to help save the world from total control. A pirate she was through and through so what caused such a tremendous leap to saving the world?  As the moon raised higher in the night sky, Korra’s mind turned to Kidd, Mako and Bolin. Was this the feeling they felt when joining a society who determined the balance of the everyday world? By no means were they new aged Sisyphus but how can they be so selfless to give themselves freely to a punishment like this? What happened to the carefree lives they swore too? Can’t be care free without the justice of freedom.  She hated thinking like this, it trudged up bad memories, her mother…and her father. Thinking about it now, her father would have held this weight upon his shoulders to ensure a carefree world.  She sighed and pushed up from her wooden chair. She dusted off her pant legs and wandered onto the deck. The lulling of the waves, the breeze and Luna in all her glory seemed to always ease her. She leaned over the rail peering down into the night sea trying to discover the secrets it kept so dear to its heart. “Captain…” A voice softly trailed off. Korra smiled slightly and turned to face emerald eyes. Korra’s eyes softened over Asami and Asami tried to gauge her mood. “Aye m’lady where ye been off too?” Korra asked, leaning against the rail. “Aye the galley, and Opal, made sure to get the lemons.” Asami said quietly. Korra nodded knowing they both wouldn’t be able to give a child a secure life. Asami walked next to her and leaned over the rail looking over the sea. Korra straightened up as Asami heard footsteps come towards them. It was Kidd accompanied by two of his crew mates.  “Aye Kidd,” Korra said as they grasped their forearms. “Any news, mate?” “Aye, Roberts was captured again by Torres. He’s currently sitting at the prisoner compound.” Korra’s eyes lit with determination at the sound of this. “Gather the crew Asami, we’re going to go get him.” Korrra said, starting to walk away to get ready.

“Wait- We can’t rush into this Cappy, this compound is surrounded right now. Torres is on high alert after what happened earlier. We can’t risk any more of our crew's lives, we don’t know what they are thinking.” “This isn't a waiting matter Kidd, knowing Torres, Roberts will be moved as quickly as they can move him and now the Templars are going to have the upper hand.” Korra retorted back.  “Aye, I get that matey but our hands are tied right now. Let’s reconvene in the morning. It's been quite a day.” Kidd said. He left before Korra could get another word out. She blew an agitated breath as she watched Kidd walk away. Asami came to her side rubbing her back.  “Captain, I think it may be best, we don’t know what they are capable of right now.” Asami said to her, trying to reason.  “I infiltrated yer fa-the Kings castle and took you, a prison compound is nothing, Sami’.” Korra said with determination walking off. xXxKorra quietly got dressed as it was in the last hours of the morning. She dressed her holsters and filled her cutlasses into the sheaths. She garnered the robes she had earlier from Walpole and silently left the cabin. Everyone was asleep and those who were up dared not to question their captain.  She traversed the quiet town until she reached the prison compound. Guards stood there as she surveyed the surrounding areas. She laid prone on top of the hill, thinking of a plan. She caught movement in the corner of her eye and rolled onto her back and pulled a flintlock from her chest ready to blow whoever it was back. She quickly holstered it once she smelled burnt vanilla.  “Asami?!” She whisper-screamed. “Jaysus what are you doing here, are you off some thunder? Get back to the ship now.” She demanded. “I am not leaving you here Captain. Are you three sheets in the wind, why did you not wait for Kidd?” Asami shot back. She leveled her eyes with the captain, knowing she may be the only person who could talk to Korra this way or defy her orders.  “I am not going to sit around and let me free’om get taken by some bilge sucking rats. We have him right here and we are going to get him. Now as yer captain I am ordering you to the ship.” Korra said, turning from her to resume her plan.  Asami dared not move. “No I am not leaving without you Korra.” Asami stated. “You will address me as your Captain, Asami. I have given ye an order.” Korra said, trying to regain some sort of dominance. “No.” “Sink me,” Korra called out, "This isn’t some fantasy, yer acting like a scallywag who aint got der sea legs yet.” Korra told her. In truth Korra just wanted to protect Asami, she wasn’t sure what she would do if something happened to her. But when she looked into determined jade eyes she knew there was no winning with her. If they were to grow old together Korra just knew she was going to have a problem on her hand. A few moments passed before Korra relented.  “Aye you stay here Asami, you be look out and if something happens-” ‘What do you mean if something happens?” Asami asked, confused and a bit scared. “-If something happens go back to the ship and alert Mako.” Korra said to her with no room for answer. She quickly got up and stealthy ran towards one of the bushes near the compound. In her scout she realized shift changes happened already and only five guards were present at a time. Once disarming one of the closest guards at the southern gate she snuck along the dimly lit walls that were cascaded by the burning torches. Alone and undeterred Korra traversed the halls of the prison, passing many cells as she quietly looked for her target. She rounded the corner to face the last cell, confusion spread across her face as she realized Roberts was nowhere to be found. Shit he must have escaped. Korra surveyed the cell, noticing a pile of bodies laid freshly dead. She looked around for any clues of where he may have ran to but her blood ran cold. “Ah Captain Korra: Whose eyes hold the sea.” She froze as she exited the cell. She knew that it was Torres who called out her name. But With nowhere to run she emerged into the courtyard. She could hear the alarms going off, mostly likely due to Roberts escaping. “You really didn’t think I knew who you were?” He said through his thick accent. “Ahh the King would be delighted to know I have you held captive. When you first made yourself known I thought to myself, ah she must have killed Wapole and stolen the maps in return for the reward. But to my fancy here you are trying to free my prisoner. Ah Mi Amiga, it would seem you are too late.” He said as he clasped his hands together. She pulled on cutlasses free, prepared to fight her way out. “Are you going to kill me?”  “Ah no, that would be too easy. If you make it out here then I will have to but if not you’ll wish you were dead.” “Ah going to send me to the King like the bilge-rat you are?” Korra said, spitting. Torres gave no response. He simply gave a signal and they charged her.  As the guards closed in on her, her blades flashed in the moonlight as they blocked the enemy from cutting her. Sparks flew as they made contact. She parried each attack and for a moment she thought she’d over power them. She kicked one of the guards off of her sword and narrowly missed the heavy ax that seemed to come from the heavens themselves.

Asami was shaken by the sound of flintlocks going off inside the compound. Her heart began to jump as she worried about the captain. Should she go in and save her or would that be reckless on her part. Asami wasn’t sure what to do, she saved her captain once but that was a lucky shot, what was she going to do with a gang of guards? She gathered herself and headed down the hill. Once through the gates she could see guards strewn around with blood pooling from them. She searched for Korra but couldn’t find her until she stepped into the courtyard. She could see Korra held down by two brute sized guards, cladded in heavy armor, finished with heavy axes in their hands. What was she to do? Her flintlocks stood no chance nor did her swords. Blue eyes locked on to her silently giving her orders to leave. She could see the anger and fright in Korra’s eyes. Korra wouldn’t know what to do if she was to be captured or taken back to her father. Asami understood the silent order as tears brimmed her eyes. She luckily, wasn’t caught and she ran through the night to go back to the ship.  Asami’s fleeting body was the last thing she saw before she was hit with the hilt of the sword over her temple and everything went dark.xXxHer body hurt, it felt tied down and bent awkwardly. She tried to adjust her eyes to the darkness but to no avail. Her nose scrunched as the smell of piss and shit. For some reason this brought back memories of the first time. Korra was still dazed, her head lolled with the rocking of the ship, she felt tired but she couldn;t lay down. Her body laid askew but her head and neck were forced up.
What is this?
That’s when she heard the familiar clang of chains and the horrifying moans. Her eyes widened in the dark.  She began pulling at the chains tied around her body, pain seeped through her neck and back as she struggled trying to get free. Panic coursed through her body and the fear of being a slave again churned her stomach.  “No, no.no .no” She repeated as tears streamed down her face. Snot began to mix with the tears as it dropped from her face. Every ‘no’ sent another drip of snot flying as the chains rattled and clashed. She could feel the seeping piss and water mix sloshing around her. She was stripped to nothing but her bindings. The smell alone made her want to throw up but the panic made the bile come out.  “It’s no use.” A voice called out in the midst of her struggle. “I’ve gotten me self out before I’ll do it again.” Korra spat angrily. She was going to have Toress’s head on the mast of her ship. She was going to feed his body to the sharks and watch as his soul be casted away from Davy Jones.  “Ah I can tell, those scars tell age.” The voice called out. Korra whipped her head around eye still not adjusting. But telling from this person. And them being able to see her means they’ve been down here longer than she has. But they were right, old scars from the crack of the whips formed dangerous valleys and craters down her back. The scars she kept hidden as to not be defined by resurfaced now and painted her past. She ignored the person and she still tried to figure out a way to get out. “How long have we been traveling?” She demanded. “Lost count of the stars after we picked your lot up from Havana. Maybe two or three weeks since then.” They trailed off.  “Yer seem a bit accumulated to be a fresh slave.” Korra stated. “Ah what can I say? I was caught again, filthy royal navy.” They said with what Korra could only assume was accompanied by a shrug.  “Ye have word of where we’re going?” Korra asked.
“Kingston.”

Dread filled Korra’s whole body as cold sweats ran over her skin.
xXxIt’d been three weeks since the crew lost their captain, but they hadn’t given up hope on finding her.

After Asami made it back to the ship and woke Mako, he alerted Opal and Bolin. Once they headed to the prison compound no trace of Korra had been found.  “Shite” Mako yelled in frustration as he circled around the deck of the ship. He punched the closest post to him to let his frustration out.  “Mako calm-” “No Bolin, with every wasted minute she’s getting further away, and we haven’t the slightest idea of where she is.” Asami looked over at Mako and shared the same pain and frustration as him. She wanted to save Korra but the look in Korra’s eye told her otherwise. Would she have made a difference if she stayed?  “Mako I understand, I should have stayed and fought-” “No Asami, you did right, if both of you were gone we wouldn't even know where to start.” He pinched the bridge of his nose. “How could she be so stupid!” He exclaimed. “Just once if she’d listen-”  “Hey.” Bolin called out, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder. To relax his tense posture. “We are going to find her, I promise.” “Aye laddy listen to yer brother.” Kidd said as he boarded Korra’s ship. “We caught word round the docks that a ship came in port wee hours of the morning and some of the dock crew saw a woman being dragged to the boat, the only problem is-” Mako’s eyes widened. “No!”Asami had been leaning over the railing looking out at the sea as the ship trudged along the course set to Kingston. Her stomach churned at the thought of Korra being there- hell any slave, being there. Jamaica was the worst place to be as a slave. Asami felt the familiar queasiness in her belly that she had been feeling for the last three weeks. As her insides floated away in the sea, she kept telling herself she was only throwing up at Korra missing.
“How long have you known Asami?” Opal asked.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

“So when we find her, when are you going to tell her?” Opal questioned, as they walked around the island. Asami knew Opal meant no harm but as the days went by her mood went and came too. She stifled a huff and she plastered a thin lip smile on her face. They were walking along the shore, back towards the harbor to get to the ship.

“Op, we've been here for two weeks and have not found or heard word of her, I just hope I get the chance to tell her.” Asami said as they rounded the harbor to board the ship. Though the thought of never seeing Korra again scared the spirits out of her, she had to think about what it may be like without her and raising a child. Was the life of pirating the best way or the life of an Assassin to raise her unborn child. She wasn't sure but she had to start preparing for it.

Two weeks earlier

They were shuffled off of the ship and Korra felt the familiar rush of blinding light. She knew better at this age. She made sure to squint and look down so she didn't collapse or hurt her eyes. The strain of the chains clacked together and it awkwardly stretched and shrunk at the uneven steps of each enslaved person. Sand and grit piled around stained blood feet. Hunched shoulders moved as their taut bodies did with no purpose as they knew what was to come.

The sweltering heat hit their salted back as they trudged to the stage of the scramble auction. The chains linking them together were dropped as they were lined up on the auction stage. The creak of the timed wood, slated under their feet. The cacophonous wood told the unknown stories of the mass of slaves it held during its time. Korra left in her tattered and fecal covered bindings stood in the back. She knew if she stood too proud there was a chance of punishment and if she showed cowardice it may be worse. She kept her head down but stood tall. Her broad shoulders glistened in the burning sun and sweat began to filter off of them.

She knew that soon she'd be filtered out with the men but she hoped she'd be at a smaller plantation. She could hear the filthy roar of the crowd as white men raised their hands and bidded as if they were property or land. Her blue eyes casted a furious look over the crowd. Disgust bled from her eyes as she could see the enjoyment in their faces. They laughed and sized them up as if they were shopping for the newest boat at the Harbor Master.

One by one her fellow ship mates were harshly pulled to the side, prodded and poked and then taken away to live a life of punishment. With her was only a handful left. She kept a steel gaze as she looked down on those who wished to oppress her. Hands still bound together she was pulled up front by her elbow. Her life as a pirate taught her no man or woman could break her. Though she knew what a look of power could do to her, she held firm.

“She may have the face of a Woman gentleman but she has the anatomy of a Man. Look at that build, definitely a field nigg-” The auctioneer was cut off, by a searing pain in his right knee. He fell as he wailed out across the audience. Korra looked down at him, pictured as a God casting away an angel. Her blue eyes held firm on the crumpled man.

As she rose to look over the crowd. She was found looking at the wood planks of the stage. A cry bailed out from her as her chin came in contact with the wood. Two men had quickly laid her out as her chained hands pushed into her gut, spilling more pain from her body.

“Get the whip, tie her up. Teach this slave a lesson.” The auctioneer said through gritted teeth as he hobbled trying to get up.

“That won't be necessary!”  A deep voice rang out through the stunned crowd.  Never have they seen a slave act with such insolence. A man that had seen better days walked through the men until he stood boot to face with Korra.

“Mr. Tharpe, we need to teach-”

“Again, that won't be necessary…I'm sure Good Hope Plantation… will teach her some manners.”  He pulled her up by her hair, “Isn't that right?” He didn't wait for an answer as he dropped her head back to the stage. “How much? I will pay whatever is needed to cover the cost…of that.” He said pointing at his knee.

“200 pounds.” He called out after Tharpe. “A hundred here for the slave, and a hundred for my knee. And we have a deal.”

Tharpe smiled at that and tipped his hat. He signaled his people to finish the paperwork and that was the last Korra saw of him that day.

She was pulled harshly to her feet by the auctioneer's helpers. Once her vision was leveled she saw the shocked crowd. Never had a slave showed so much insolence. She was hit across the face by the auctioneer as he hobbled on one leg.

Her eyes dead and blood trickling between her lips and teeth, she smiled,

“I will kill all of you.”

LOK

Water splashed and churned through the small hole of the heat box. Gasps of air could be heard as the person inside took in as much water as they could.

It'd been about five days since Korra was put in there. Luckily Korra knew what it was like to starve or be with little food. She was a fighter. Vengeance kept her going, tallying all the people she would kill as soon as she escaped.

“They will kill yer, if yer catched you know?” Korra said between breaths. The water was sublime and after being in a metal box in the sweltering heat the last few days, it was spirit sent that she was able to get some water.

“What they don’t know won't hurt them.” She said as she broke bits of bread and jerky through the hole.

“The whip knows all, ye know that, '' Korra said. “And after what happened last week, I don't think deres gonna be any mercy given.”

“Aye, your lashing were harsh but to throw you in the heat box, dere trying to break you.”

“Can't break something that's already broken.” Korra said with no emotion. She'd been through this enough to know that once you’ve hit rock bottom there was nowhere else to go but up. Once she was able to get a pair of cutlasses or a flintlock, she would make her escape.

She gulped down more of the water, “When I get out of this box I'll make me escape.”

“With what energy? You've barely eaten and spirit knows what they will do once you get out of here.”

“I'll find a way, by now me crew should be looking fer me…” Korra responded unsure. She wasn't sure if Asami even made it back or if she was…dead. Korra grimaced at the thought. She tried to keep her mind off the possibility of never seeing her again but the thought would slip in when the days dragged into the night.

“Don't sound too sure about that Captain.”

“Aye, I know me crew, they’ll find me.”

LOK

“We’ve been looking for four days! How do we know where she could be? Jaysus what are the scouts fer if they aren't going to find anything!” Asami had been growing more irritable as the days passed. No sign or hope of finding Korra, and the baby was putting a toll on Asami mentally.

With only Opal knowing about Asami’s situation. Kidd, Bolin and Mako had been very confused and scared to approach the ex-princess.

Opal tried to put a comforting hand on her shoulder but Asami brushed it off.

Exhaustion etched across her face as she tried to contain her frustration. Opal pulled her closer to the railing of the ship out of ear shot of the boys. Their confused eyes lingered on the two women for sometime as Opal talked low, only for Asami to hear.

“Listen Asami…We and Kidds scouts are doing everything we can, there are countless plantations here. Korra has been in…yer know, but she made it through once and she will do it again. You need to have faith in yer captain.” Opal looked at her gently, but making sure her words were firm and penetrated through Asami’s worry.

“But what if she’s hurt, or something, Opal?” Asami shot back at her, with a look of frustration and desperation seeping from her voice. “We’ve been wandering around, like aimless picaroons!” Her voice slightly raised, regaining the attention of the men. She turned fully toward the railing and looked over into the ocean. Opal followed suit and peered down with her.

Opal sighed, and took a moment before responding to Asami. “Look, we will find her, just have faith. If you can’t have that then think about the baby. Yer stressing isn’t going to help anyone, especially not the baby.” Opal finally looked past her shoulder toward Asami.

Asami’s eyes softened as she let the weight of Opal’s words sink in. It wasn’t just her anymore, she had to be strong.

“Aye, Opal you’re right.” She relented. The atmosphere still sticking heavy between the group, kept even Bolin somber in this time. Surely the one to crack a joke or keep the mood up, he knew that even this situation was dire. They had to find their captain.

Night fell once more and Asami lay alone in the captain's cabin. Sleep didn’t find her much that night as she felt the slight lull of the ship as it rocked and creaked against the dock. The small candle flickered in the corner of the room casting shadows across the floor. She looked over the grimey mirror once more and the small pendant from the necklace caught her eye. Was it too far fetched to call the captain hers? To wrap the necklace that held so much weight around her neck? Or was it because her emotions were everywhere and the one person she wanted -her

captor

and

savior

- was not here?

She pondered those thoughts for a moment. She shook her head clear and rolled onto her side to face the wall. It was foolish to think about a family. An ex princess and a pirate? Who now would somehow become Assassins’?  What a ridiculous notion that they could ever have a family. With the dangers they face alone, how could a child live in such peace when being born in turmoil?

Should she even let Korra know about the baby?

Korra finally rose from her so-called earthbed. But it wasn’t the grand rising she was told Jesus had. Her’s consisted of being drenched and damn near waterboarded with freezing water. She wailed out in pain and shock as her body and nerves writhed in internal chaos. Her wails could be heard as it echoed through the yard. But the other enslaved people kept steadily at work, so as not to be the next one in the box.

Korra was lifted up by two overseers. She heaved and panted raggedly. The pain to lift her head felt like she was fighting against a 100 pounds of rocks tied to her neck. She dared not look up. Her eyes were squeezed tight knowing that she wouldn’t be able to handle the daylight.

“That’ll do right there, Louie and Thomas. I think she done learned her lesson.” He chortled. Though Korra’s eyes were shut, she could tell he was talking around something. Then a puff of smoke encased her face as she recognized it as a cigar. This only angered her more as he thought this was merely a game.

“Now tell me…did ya learn ya lesson or do you need another five more days in the box? The choice is yours.” Again another cloud of smoke wrapped around her face, as she felt the slow and deliberate stream of air being forced towards her. If she defied she knew she’d die within the week.

“I did…” She finally breathed out. She didn’t feel broken, just tired. He put the dip of his cane handle under her chin and lifted it up. He brushed her sweat licked hair to the side, to get a good look at her.

“Look at me.”

She tightened her jaw, knowing that it would hurt like hell to do so.

“I can’t…” She trailed off trying to drop her head but no matter she felt the hardness of the polished wood under her chin. She felt as if the weight of the rocks around her neck and the handle of the cane were working against one another, trying to see which would break her first.

“Look at me gal!”  Tharpe said as he raised his voice. He wasn’t one to not have his demands met.  Korra gave in and blinked a few times before she could squint to see him. She hadn’t really seen him up close since everything happened, and he was just as smug looking and cynical as his voice made him sound.

“See, was that so hard? Even a dumb slave like yourself can follow directions. Just need to be trained up.” He said as he circled her, this only angered her more, life be damned, she wasn’t one to be told what to do. Send her to Davy Jones locker, send her to hell, but she wasn’t going to be treated like property.

He came back around towards her and lifted her chin once more.

“I am your master, you understand me nigg-” Spit sprayed in the small distance between them, covering Tharpe’s face. He jerked back out of surprise, eyes screwed shut.

“Fuck ye, yer not me master, never will be.” She could feel herself being thrown to the ground once more. She could hear the two men snarling and yelling above her but it was all disoriented.

“Put her back in the box Mr. Tharpe?” On questioned, angrily. She felt the pointed end of the cane stab into her shoulder blade as Tharpe, bent down to her level.

“No, bring her to the barn and tie her up. I see that the box was too soft of a punishment. One hundred lashes. I will personally-

“Mr. Tharpe, you’ve got some visitors. Inquiring about buying a slave or two.”

She could hear the flap of a napkin being opened up, as she barely saw it wipe across his face. His black boots kicked up bits of dirt as he walked away from her.

“Keep her tied up until tonight, I’ll see to her once our guests leave.”

Kidd, Mako and Asami waited by the front steps of the plantation house. Asami impatiently tapped her foot as they waited. Mako tried to calm her, but she brushed him away quickly.

“How do we even know she's here?”

“Asami, calm down, I know yer worried but we can not blow this. Kidd had some information from his scouts, that a few of the people from the slave ships got sold here. If not here we will keep looking but ye have to relax dere.”

“Listen to yer matey, there princess, if yer found out also, this could mean a lot more trouble fer us all, too.” Kidd said, joining in. Mako and Kidd knew that it wasn’t the best idea to bring Asami but seeing how she was reacting, they were better off in their earthbeds than telling her no. They just prayed that her impatience wouldn’t lead to them drawing their swords.

“Fine,” She said as she looked away from them.

“Ahh, you must be our guest.” Asami saw an old greasy man walk to them and she quickly had to hide the disgust from her face. He hobbled a bit as he leaned more so on his cane than his leg.

“You must be Tharpe, well ran plantation you’ve got yourself here.” Kidd said as he tried to sound as proper as he could.

“A firm whip and action behind your words, will keep anything well ran and in shape.” He said as he released the handshake. He pointed to his plantation as to give an live example of his words.

“A fine man as yourself, knows that all too well. Then we’ve come to the perfect place for a couple of slaves.”

“That would be correct. We can bring you a selection of them if you’d like or we can walk around as they work.”

“Do you have any new ones we can take off of your hand?” Mako questioned.

Tharpe turned to him and sized him up quite a bit, as if he just realized Mako and Asami were there.

“You bring your lady to these kind of deals?” He questioned as he looked Asami up and down.

“Ah yes well, we will need a house slave that can tend to her needs as well as the land.” Kidd quickly lied. It seemed Tharpe wanted to question them more but decided to entertain another thought.

“Well since this is a serious selection process, that will take time, why don’t you all stay for dinner and we can do the selection process afterwards? We can look around now, and you can pick whom you see fit to tend to your woman and land.” Tharpe said as he began to lead the way.

Asami began to follow behind the three men, when something caught her eye. She could see a woman being dragged by two men towards a barn. As they walked closer she could see the woman's head lull back as her half lid eyes rolled between consciousness and unconsciousness.

She held back her gasp as she saw who it was.
“Korra!” She thought.
