The soft shell sighs as he gets closer to his apartment, the night air causing his breath to turn into a cloud of steam. The lights above him illuminate the stairs as he hastily makes his way into his studio apartment.
Donnie closes the door behind him, leaning hard against the wood as he closes his eyes, he hears a tapping on his window, he quickly walks over to the window, opening it up. A cold gust of wind causes the clad turtle to shiver, though he is warmed quickly by the blush gracing his face. A biting cold hand caresses his face, making him shutter again.
“Donnie, Baby!” A husky voice murmurs to him, a slight tingling pressure being placed on his cheek as the slider kisses him. the bloody figure standing gracefully on his tip-toes, a single eye missing and a hole through the side of his head. Donnie kisses the forehead of the being , smiling warmly as he stared into the eye of the other.
“I’m home, my darling,” Donnie says , causing Leo to giggle, wrapping his translucent arms around the taller turtle. The two separate, Leon grabbing Donnie by the hand, and though the soft shell's hand slides right through it, he follows. Leo sets Donnie down on the small couch, giggling as he sits down on the lap of the other.
“How was your day, Dontron?” Leo whispers with excitement. Wrapping his clear arms around Donnie’s neck and nuzzling his snout into his crook.
“All I did was miss you,” Don whispers, cheesy as it was, Leo coo’s, peppering tingling kisses up and down Donnie’s neck and jaw.
“Well I'm here now, I wish I could be with you all the time, then you’d never have to miss me” Leo mumbles solemnly.
“I love you my darling, you know that, If I could, I would get rid of the sun for you.” He assures, placing a hand on the freezing cheek of his lover. The phantom leans into the warm touch, churring quietly.
Abrupt he stops, looking down at the hand on his cheek with sadness, bringing a hand up to hold it in place uselessly.
“Donnie?” He murmurs painfully. Causing Donnie to become concerned and brings his hand closer as to redirect the ghost’s eye contact, since his hand would simply go through the ghost's head.
“Yes, Nardo?” He asks, concern laced through his tone, the ghost looks at the taller being with a sorrowful gaze.
“The kid next-door, he saw me. I don't know if I can come back tomorrow, they know OUR secret.”He mutters, a drop of blood falling from his eye, simulating tears. Donnie feels his stomach drop and face pale in fear, only to quickly become a boiling feeling.
“Please, you can’t go, I need you! I'll do anything to keep you with me,” He rambles, bringing a hand up to cup the other side of Leo’s face, making the other open his lidded eye,”Anything.” Donnie repeats, making the slider light up slightly.
“You need to get rid of him, baby,” He said, moving his hand to cup Donatello’s face and move closer. “If he knows, he can't be here.”
Donnie could feel a fluttering feeling in his stomach, both of nerves and joy. He was overjoyed, knowing he could keep his darling, yet he felt a fear boil inside of him, knowing what ‘getting rid of him’ implied.
“Of course, My baby, Anything for you.” He says, bringing his snout to the others, gently letting them touch, “He’ll be gone before you know it,” He utters, a warming smile gracing his face.
Leo lets their lips connect in a quick, chaste kiss, the feeling causing Donnie’s face to warm.
The spectator is quick to dive in for a second kiss, this time being longer, or intimate. Donnie tilts his head, deepening the kiss. He shakes as Leo licks his bottom lip and slips in his tongue.
Leo puts a hand around the other’s neck, but Donnie could feel it now, the cold hands of a real person wrapping a hand around his neck, restricting his of air as he gasps quietly into the kiss.
Leo is the one to separate, leaving Donnie a painting mess, the phantom feeling of a hand around his neck lingering for a few moments.
“I’ll see you later, Donnie baby,” Leo all but keens into his ear, causing Donnie’s face to redden further as he watches Leo slide away, slipping out the window and fading to nothing.
>—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<Night falls again, Donnie enters his apartment, though there is no tapping to be heard, he groans as he remembers the tyrant that took his beautiful Leo from him.
He places a bag on the kitchen counter, walking into his bedroom and crouching by his bed to grab the small revolver from under it, returning to the kitchen after retrieving it, along with a switchblade from the top shelf of his dresser, to grab a pair of gloves from the bag in the kitchen. Donnie makes his way to the other side of the apartment circle, making his way through to the back of the small apartment. It’s on the first story, bushes around the back window which led into a spare room with toys littering the floor. Donni breaks the window, most likely alerting the family and giving him little time to get to them.
Donnie hops in swiftly , careful of any noise as he looks around. There is a luminescent blue light peeking under one of the doors, He quietly makes his way to the room.
He opens it, there lies a small brunette human, deep in sleep. He walks over to the kids bed, pulling out the rifle, Face blank as he glares at the innocent child awaiting its fate. There is a noise behind him, causing him to turn around sharply. In the doorway stands a beyond shocked blond male, his mouth agape and eyebrows furrowed, his eyes widening further as he notices the gun. Quick to his feet, Donatello pulls out his switchblade, jumping onto the man, holding his elbows down with his knees. The Man struggles, cursing as trying to push Donnie off of him, but the slider gouges the knife into the neck of the father, a strangle gasp leaving him, along with choked breath as blood spills from his neck and mouth, staining the floor and his hair. His eyes roll back as Donnie twists the blade, ripping it up to his chin, the blood vessels in his throat being torn, blood spewing from his throat and covering Donnie’s face. The pulse in his throat slowed down rapidly as the turtle tore the knife from his throat, going back once more to slit his throat horizontally, creating an upside down cross in the man.
He stands up shakily, moving to the side to kick the man over as he continues to the child. staring at its stirring body, he shoots the child in the forehead, blood beginning to stain the pillow and his head. Out of spite, Donatello shoots again, the sound ringing through the building.Someone is bound to have heard, so Donnie makes his leave, running back to his apartment to clean up. He grabs a container of bleach, bringing it with him to the shower with him.
He turns on the water to a scolding heat, causing his skin to redden as he brings himself in the shower. He winces, hissing at the burn as he grapes a loofah, smothering it in bleach and body wash. He begins to wash himself, his skin burning and peeling with contact, tears slide down his face, though indistinguishable from the boiling water pouring down on him.
He chokes and gags at the smell, the feeling too, sobs being ripped out of him.‘All for Leonardo’ he repeats in his head, until he knows if he tried to speak, it's all he would be able to say.He excites the shower, his skin raw and the cold causing more painful tears to stream down his face. He walks to his room , not bothering to get dressed or dry off as he lays down, wincing at contact with the bed, Few few more tears stream down his face as he looks at the roof, but his eyelids grow heavy and he can feel relief filling his as he closes his eyes, falling asleep.Morning comes sooner than it should, police sirens ringing through the area, waking Donnie up with a start. He’s shocked to feel nothing as he jolts up, no unbearable pain, nothing. He walks over to the living room, there standing a slim figure, the sun bouncing off of every muscle and his mask tails flowing despite the lack of wind. There stands his gorey beauty in the flesh.
