Work Text
-Dabi...-Dabi!The surroundings is deathly silent, and ears strain to detect even the smallest sound to demonstrate their simple existence.Only the bartender's rubbing sound carried the sensation of vitality; there was no music or noise. The scenery appears to be muted. The man with the flashy red wings relaxedly took a sip of his tropical cocktail, his eyes drifting aimlessly into space as his lips slowly sampled the freshness of the drink. All of the exquisite man's elegant facial features appeared to be faintly glowing in orange lights, as though he had just emerged from a painting. Why did he enter the bar since he doesn't consume alcohol?Who consumes alcohol when working?I meant secret workA quick glance by the bartender revealed that he truly liked the red-winged man and wondered whether his lonely niece might convince him to date her. His eyes then slowly turned to the man with black hair who was seated next to his "future nephew." By the time he sat down in the chair, the man's body was covered in unsettling purple burns, his black hair points in all directions like a poison bush. and he hadn't even looked up for the old man to see his face. Most importantly, this "sleeping beauty" doesn't even consume a drop of wine.He is not a guy my girl can wed.- Hey! Dabi-kun, I invited you out here to meet, not to see your dirty corpseNo response again- All right, if you don't want to attack Endeavor, we can end it now.The "thorn ball" tipped toward the red wing as the black hair began to move a little. While the bartender couldn't hear them from a distance, he was certain that the "ball" had been drawn in. The line of medical claws runs from the corner of the mouth to the ears, giving the impression that he is always smiling. However, when you gaze into those gloomy eyes, all you can see is craziness. The sapphire eyes are like peering at the hearts of those staring at the red wings. This guy is insane, he made people quiver with every expression he made. Both of their eyes reflected the outline of the other in their irises. The bar becomes even quieter as a result.- You like me?-Many words, just to the point...- Oh well, finally listen, but Dabi, next time. I'm sorry it's late, and I'm exhausted right now. Oh, and this, let me pay it for youThe red wings flapped, how enormous and beautiful they were, but sadly, the only thing everybody could see was the man carrying them. He got to his feet, set the cash down, and drank from the black-haired man's glass. In contrast to the sweet nectar of the lips hanging to the glass's side, the yeast's harsh flavor remains on the tip of the tongue.Black hair held his tongue and didn't move till the red wing exited the store.keng! Glass fragments were all over the place, and some of them even melted from the heat. His hand's blue flame gave off the impression that it wanted to consume everything. The shocked bartender's wrinkled, purple-hued old visage nearly caused him to spill his glass. Once more, the atmosphere was oddly calm. He left the elderly man nearly dead but without saying anything as he silently walked away. The wing man moved slowly down the tight alley, neither moving quickly nor slowly as if he were waiting for someone or wanting to leave.23:34The other half of the red wing was submerged in the gloomy darkness of the alley while the other half fully halted the opulent busy lights of the skyscrapers across from the alley as if it were following the sharp lines of the other face. He sensed footsteps behind him abruptly. The mouth rose up in a lovely curve.- Here you are23:36His golden hair was gently brushed by the night wind. A smile could be seen in the phoenix eyes, which seemed to be looking through the person in front of them. Who would have imagined that only one person could enjoy this stunning sight. The man with the dark hair inched up gently.- I am confident that you will follow.- I can't bear dismissing our second-rank hero's efforts.- You seem to detest Endeavor very much.- You seem to have an issue with that.- No criminal likes Endeavor, it seems. But you are different. I can tell how much you despise him. You can almost see it imprinted in your eyes. The man who was provoking him forcefully was caught by his chin as he smirked as quickly as lightning.– Not ashamed of becoming a hero of the second rank. Which eye told you that, exactly?Other person is silent. Dabi used his index finger to press hard against the beautiful eye bags without pitying the jade flowers and pulling them down, revealing the sclera and tear grooves hiding behind the eyelids. As if he could find satisfaction in those yellow pupilsTwo individuals who are close. The atmosphere was still as it had been.A lonely individual who disappeared into the alley's darknessA person whose entire body is unintentionally obscured by darkness.00:00- Your enmity... Even blind people can see.The wings man immediately fly into the air, leaving a red feather behind. The feather was abruptly devoured by the blue flame.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Dabi lazily swirled the glass of wine in his hand, paying no attention to the criminals holding their annual meeting. He was a cunning man, one of the brains of the organization, having devised countless successful plans that made life difficult for the heroes. He should have been the one talking the most here, but at the moment he wasn't even listening. Why?He had another concern, one much more important than this meeting. It was that damn second-rank hero who hadn't shown his face in two weeks. What the hell was going on?Two weeks! That's 14 days, 336 hours, 20,160 seconds. What had he done wrong? What kind of mission was taking so long? Was that bastard doing something shady behind his back?"Dabi, I have an order for you.", Scarface was still immersed in his thoughts, analyzing whether the damn bird would take advantage of his openness to run away. "Damn it, Dabi, are you deaf?" Shigaraki yelled, clearly only five steps away from him. How could the scar-faced man not hear him?"Dabi-kun seems to be thinking about someone," Toga said with a laugh. "It seems so," Twice agreed, nodding. These two couldn't stop teasing him. "Don't talk nonsense. What the hell are you making such a fuss about?" Dabi looked up at Shigaraki, who had just yelled until his voice was hoarse."Hawks, the hero, joined our organization not long ago. I want you to take care of him." Shigaraki's light words weighed heavily on Dabi's mind and heart like tons of scrap metal. Dabi, who had just been bragging about his brain, now widened his eyes at the leader's words, "What do you mean?""The heroes seem to have discovered some of our plans. I just received news last night that someone spotted two heroes lurking behind the hospital.""So you think he's a spy for the heroes? Don't forget that it's thanks to him that we have so much information. Killing him would be a bad move.""So what if it is? It's true that he's very useful, but the odds are high that he's a spy for the heroes. Didn't you say so yourself?"Dabi was silent. Shigaraki continued, "Revealing our plans is even worse than not having enough information. So it's all up to you, Dabi." One of the crowd chimed in, "Killing that Hawks will definitely scare the heroes off. First the number one hero, then the number two hero is taken down. Isn't that exciting?""What a pity, Hawks-chan is so cute." Toga expressed her regret, unaware when the blue veins on Dabi's forehead had first appeared. The glass in his hand shattered under the force of his grip, "If you don't know, shut up. That guy is one of the important members of the organization. You don't just kill him without any evidence that he's snitching, aren't you guys always watching him?"Shigaraki staggered towards Dabi, a smile on his face, "Didn't you always ask me to keep an eye on him?"The glass shards had been cleaned up by Kurogiri long ago, Dabi glared at the idiot, "You can't just kill people, and I don't have any evidence that he's snitching on the heroes." The noisy atmosphere in the room was silenced by just one word from him. All eyes were on the two, like wild beasts baring their teeth at their stronger leader, both fearful and resentful."It's strange, Dabi, why are you reacting so strongly? Usually if I say to kill someone, you always agree, even if it's someone on the same side," the leader of the wild beasts smirked, "Don't forget there was a time when we weren't following him, that was when you were with him," Shigaraki raised his voice, "Dabi, who knows what could happen when the two of you are together... What if that rotten bird takes advantage of your distraction to sing his song out."There it was, the trigger had been pulled, the suspicion and tension of the meeting now erupting again. Whispers spread throughout the room, the glances and half-open mouths of his subordinates made Dabi disgusted.- Almost never.- That Dabi never showed mercy to anyone...- Why was he so adamant about protecting that Hawks?- Hawks must have secretly informed the heroes of my whereabouts.- What is their relationship?Shigaraki leaned closer and whispered in his ear, "Don't think I don't know about the relationship between you and him? I'm giving you 24 hours to bring that red bird back here.""Don't be blinded, Dabi, I'm not afraid to kill my colleagues," Shigaraki grinned, revealing his scars, a smile that Dabi found truly disgusting. "Alright, let's settle this. We'll discuss how to..." The leader switched to another topic, putting aside the heated discussion for now.The anger that caused the chills also triggered the blue flames on his hand. Good! I wonder how you'll deal with me. Dabi left, leaving the wild beasts and the damned leader.**The man climbed to the top floor of an abandoned building ten miles away from the meeting. With his blue flame, he lit a cigarette. The strong smell of nicotine soothed the anger that was churning in his stomach. He stood watching the wildness of the night wind while enjoying his cigarette. His manner was as relaxed and carefree as if he had never been asked to kill the one he loved.A thin stream of silver smoke drifted from his mouth and blended into the endless black of the sky. Dabi looked into the pitch-black night. Buildings crowded together, cars were crowded, and the people with their myriad of cheap hero beliefs were going about their lives like ants on the road. No one cared about the one who might take their lives in the future, who was right under their noses. His tall figure looked so ordinary against the hustle and bustle of humanity. Although Dabi had never admitted to being "crazy" as the journalists and villians he worked with often said. Not that he believed it was a bit against his great intelligence. Dabi didn't feel he deserved the word "crazy".Crazy is something too human, too instinctive, an emotion that can turn a gentle person into a murderer and leave them almost hollow in the thoughts brought on by madness. Dabi wasn't crazy. He was just a failed product of the number 1 hero, suffocated by Endeavor's disgusting ambition.Dabi was no longer the little boy Touya who longed for praise from that man, nor was he the older brother that his younger siblings always admired. Like the rest, Dabi was a maggot with an empty stomach always eager to devour the foolish hope that the Touya body could not fulfill. Inside him was a burning emptiness, a void that was constantly gnawing at him, demanding to be filled. But there was nothing to fill it, no love, no acceptance, no purpose. Dabi was just a shell of a man, a walking corpse fueled by hatred and anger. He took another drag of his cigarette and watched the city lights twinkle below. He felt a surge of satisfaction as he realized that he was the one who had brought all this chaos upon them. He was the one who had shown them the truth about their precious heroes, the truth about their so-called justice.Dabi smiled a cold, cruel smile. He knew that he was a monster, but he didn't care. He was proud of what he had become, proud of the pain he had inflicted on the world. He finished his cigarette and flicked the butt into the darkness. Then he turned and walked away, disappearing into the night.Dabi was no longer the little boy Touya who longed for praise from that man, nor was he the older brother that his younger siblings always admired. Dabi was just a shell of a man, a walking corpse fueled by hatred and anger.*Time flowed like water in his sapphire eyes. Wait a minute... something was rushing towards him.**Crash!**Before he could react, the strange object spoke up, "Are you smoking again! Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be meeting with the organization?", the familiar sweet scent enveloped the tired muscles of the twenty years old man, his soft blonde hair fell into his arms, and his hands and feet playfully clung to his back.Dabi's peace was suddenly shattered, but he didn't feel bothered at all.It is his boyfriend, the one who he's missing, Hawks - Keigo TakamiThrowing the cigarette aside, he opened his arms and hugged her into his embrace, Dabi wanted Keigo to become one with him, he greedily inhaled his body scent. A scent even more dangerous and addictive than Nicotine. He stroked that boy's hair and back.He missed him like crazy. Two weeks was enough for Dabi"Where has you been for so long?""It's only been two weeks."He lifted Keigo's chin. Placing his burning longing on it. He didn't stop until his face turned red, "Why do you have to rush?""You think that's rushing?," the large hand fumbling with the clasps of the second-class hero's uniform with strange proficiency, "Let me show you how to rush to shoot."He lifted Keigo's thigh, gently biting the soft flesh. Together they were immersed in pleasure. The surrounding scene was filled with panting breaths, intermittent moans and the stickyness of lust. After he shot the sixth time inside him, the sun peeked out from behind the tall buildings. Dabi lay down tiredly and wrapped his arms around the person laying next to him, pulling Keigo close to him.Dabi has had sex with many other guys because he thinks maggots and maggots don't get along very well, right?Until Keigo come...Keigo don't have that disgusting smell. He's too noble to compare with those guys.Keigo was born from mud but did not have the meanness and cowardice of low-class creatures. He won, won gloriously with his proud red wings.Oh, Keigo...You are so arrogant to be standing next to a first-rate hero. You just casually talked to him and barged into his life. You should know you will get stuck in mud.Keigo, how can you have the heart of an empty person?- Dabi...He slowly opened his eyes.- I miss you too.*Shigaraki looked at the city on the balcony with satisfaction that soon, the news about the League of Villains successfully killing the second-rate hero - Hawks would stir up the whole of Japan. He heard footsteps from behind, "Already here, earlier than I thought. So you've-""Shigaraki...", before the other guy could finish speaking, "Kill me."Yes, his beliefs will not deceive a pious person like him.
