Good luck in the ring!
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Time goes slow when you have only a few friends and LOTS of enemies, Reader's mask covers their face, it's black hopefully to cover at least a portion of their face in this riot she heard would happen from a few of the drunk attendees of the fighting ring she works at. It's afternoon, the suns starting to set but it's just light enough for something to go down. 'that's exactly what I want' Reader chuckles in the night air at their though. Many have called Reader deranged just like this city, always running into fights instead of away from them, but honestly it's not entirely their fault. It's always their gut that tells them what to do anyways.
Making her laugh like a mainiac... and rush after danger... But it's entirely not her fault not. at. all. Reader shakes her head as the chill in the air turns her breath to a white smoke, her soft knitted purple scarf catching some of it. She had rugged herself up as it was suppose to come close to -2 tonight, and from experience fighting cold ain't a good look.
Reader sighs her black boots walking into puddles making suttle splashes, 'why am I doing this again...' she paused 'oh that's right it's because I am an idiot.'
Soon Reader started to heard loud shouting, her boots seemed to be lighter as she got closer, and her heart pumped at the though of red. blood. boom. crash... She finally came to the riot it was smaller than most she'd attended, most being 1000, least being 20. This place had about 100-150 people most white male. Well she suspected anyways by the fact most of them looked like every single American Dad...
"HELP!"
Reader turned to the sudden cry, and looked confused at a black bin bag. "what the fuck..." cautiously she stepped lightly towards the bag "hay! don't come any closer! I'll bite reallllll hard!" it was a kids voice, but it sounded much like a older kid near teens. "don't worry kid I ain't gonna hurt cha' let me help" Reader said softly lightly creeping closer, "no! You'll eat me... Or something like that" the kid yelled muffled by the bin. Reader sighed and scratched their head, "alright I'll leave but I for sure don't wanna be out here... All aloneee~" Reader said sarcastically making sure to emphasize on her words while loudly stomping away. "w-w-wait!" Reader turned back to the bin "what is it little bin bag?" Reader smiled, "help me." The voice spat out, "what's that I only hear rude language I expect a... please." The kid went silent and muttered curses, Reader chuckled and made sure to hold her laughter as to not make fun and scare him off. "fine, help me... Please" he was quiet, and not half as confident as before, the bin sagged as the kid sat down. "alright." Reader walked up to the bin and within a second slit the side with a small bronze pocket knife and a small dinosaur monster tumbled out of the bin and landed on his face and shouted "give a guy some warning next time!" he muttered a string of curses under his breath as he struggled to get up. "Here let me." Reader went over to the monster and lifted him up and placed him on his feet and dusted him off. "There, all better." The monster looked... Disgusted, horrified but oddly... Grateful. "... T-Thanks." He was blushing and seemed angry with himself for the voicing of gratitude. "Your welcome," Reader looked down on the little monster smiling.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader smiled down at the dinosaur monster and waited for the little kid to speak, it was silent in the alleyway and if Reader was honest she was wondering when and how the kid got into the bin. Also how he hadn't suffocated, but she partly knew how he hadn't done that. "You know your real quiet for a human, usually they are so nosy," the boy said cockily as he looked up at the tall Reader, "your pretty tall to..." Reader crouched down next to the monster and playfully replied "well talking can get you into trouble, I for one more prefer a little bit of..." Reader thought for a moment "playful fist trading. Easier that way." The monster looked at the human horrified but... slightly intrigued, "I'm Monster Kid, but you can just call me MK." Reader twisted their neck and a loud crack was heard, she stood up and put her pockets into her pockets, searching for something. "What you looking for human?" MK asked as he leaned closer to the human. A lot of jingle's, shaking, and rustling was heard from the pocket. They were attached to long, camo green pants which covered all of her skin, and even rolled slightly over her black boots.
Reader finally stopped looking through their pocket after five minutes and shouted in triumph and glee and presented her findings to the kid, a single monster candy, it had a bright yellow and purple candy rapper that shined even in the dark alley. "I'm not to sure if you had sustained any injuries and I've met one or two monsters and they all said this stuff works the trick." Reader smiled meekly waiting for MK's response, but the monster seemed shocked, but eventually he replied "uh, sure but just... You'll have to give it to me." Reader chuckled and unwrapped the candy and put it in his mouth. MK felt a wave of warmth spill over him.
"Thanks I guess... But it doesn't mean I owe you or anything!" MK speed off, quite literally leaving a trail of dust behind as he ran. "cute kid." Reader once again alone stood and sighed into the darkness and turned her face upwards towards the sky, "looks like I'll be a little to late for that riot..." She stumbled over her words and stopped talking and started walking out of the alley way slightly moving diagonally to avoid all the bin bags everywhere. 'better not be any bodies in these' Reader thought darkly. Finally out of the alleyway, Reader walked through the early night once again walking towards her destination making sure to be on alert for any idiots of the night. 'Better bloody not be or I'll be in a bad fucking mood...' She thought as she kicked a small pebble and watched as it rolled and clicked along the road and sidewalk. It seemed that the riot must have moved because it was pretty close before, such a bore having to walk such a ways just to loose and take a little blood. Seriously what's a girl to do to throw a few punches around here? Reader groans annoyed into the chilled air their mask fogged and the damp air in her black mask tickling her nose. As Reader walked further and further from that little bin filled alleyway she could hear the shrinks, yelling, and thunks of punches. 'Ah home sweet BLOODY home...'
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader grinned under her mask as she walked over the pavement trudging along towards her destination, more specifically the new blood bath she'd been trying to get to for the past... hour? Most likely it had only been fifteen minutes and she had just lost track of time with the monster- no... MK. None the less her one and only goal for tonight is to get to this riot have a little fun and go home
Finally she arrived to the punches, one old man started drunkinly walking towards her wine bottle in hand, she smirked under her masked face and shouted "what's up old man, need to have a bit of fun? hmm?!" She laughed out right, quite like a cackling witch. "Yeah get your young punk ass over here!!?" he questioned his own words and he yowled and stumbled quickly towards her bottle above his head in a swinging motion, "alright gramps." She cracked her knuckles and dodged his first punch, straight for the gut, she stood their with her guard down, an invitation and a way to undermined him. "You think your SO COOL DON'T YOU PUNK?!" He rushed her towards her and aimed to strike her head as she stood there. She took the hit and the sound of glass breaking over her head made her smile. "You know what this means... Don't you gramps?" Blood was pooling out from the glass bottle that had just struck her head and now it was running down her head in a crimson stream. The man taken aback from the head (pun) on collision, "what does it mean punk?"
"That I have the grounds to punch your lights out." She pointed towards the old man and took off her mask and giggled "lets go old man."
All at once she dashed at him and punched at his gut, winding him and leaving him groaning on the floor, she stood above him and grinned and kicked him into the near by building's wall. He grunted on impact and fell to the ground. "Quit or no?" She paused standing above him cross armed "I'm mercyble, are you gonna quit, I advise you do." Reader stood above the old man, like a unbeatable wall, a king, she stood with honor, and confidence. The old man still on the floor coughed and stood up, he extended his hand. "Alright, mercy" the man had a stoic face, Reader joined him with his hand. As quick as his hand joined hers he gripped her hand, Reader fumbled to take back her hand but it was to late, the old man gripped her body and threw her into a sea of people punches. 'This ain't over oldie' Reader struggled to get up as kicks, punches, and bodies flopped over top of her but she rolled to the right. There in the sea of people was a blue scaled, eye patch wearing fish lady. She roared into the crowd and welcomed their fighting and perfectly reflected it onto others. Her blue skin was flashing everywhere, to fast for any person. Reader hysterically laughed and gripped her stomach, as she looked gleefully at her new opponent. "HAY BLUE FACE" Reader howled into the crowd at the fish lady, "ISN'T IT BORING FIGHTING WEAKLINGS ALL THE TIME?! COME ER WE'LL HAVE A REAL FIGHT!" Reader was screeching at this point and had gained the attention of mostly everyone, who were now turned towards her and 'oo-ing' and 'ahh-ing' at her loud announcement. The blue fish lady slowly turned towards the human and grimaced, "you really think you'll be anything worth of a fight, although I do admit that your height is a advantage compared to these other humans!" She was looking down on Reader that was for certain, but how much was very uncertain. "So why not fight me and see for yourself?" Reader stood proudly with her arms crossed and her legs shoulder width apart and ready for any moment. The fish lady was to, but she was no longer grimacing but instead grinning widely and in the process showing off her sharp shark like teeth, 'I'll make sure to stay clear of those...'
"Alright, LETS DO IT PUNK!" the fish lady roared and sprinted toward her, destroying and throwing aside the humans in her path. "Lets do it...!" Reader said.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Time was inheritably slow in the fish and humans battle of strength, and this was not just because some fish monster was now battling it out with Reader. It was also because of that bleeding head injury that was thumping in Readers brain like a steady heart beat. But unfortunately this heart beat wasn't a nice heart beat but rather an annoying, hurting red that Reader could sense in the back of her mind. As she clashed with the fish she laughed, perhaps it was cackling but this fish was extremely ferocious so therefore it did not matter. The only thing that Reader needed to to was to be careful. Both fleshy meat clashed with scaly fish meat, each brutal punch to a gut leaving the other with a heaving chest but with smiles adorned on both of the creature's faces. Reader pounced at the fish sweeping her leg underneath the fish monster, tripping them. Reader in turn was faced with the fish pulling their leg down from the ground and gripping them firmly before tossing her to the ground in one fell swoop.Reader giggled and got up and backed away to gain some space, and slowly the fish did the same. Both puffing their chests and clenching their fists they looked at each other's eyes. the fish shouted from the few meters that separate the two "WHAT'S YOUR NAME PUNK?!" she seemed happy, her voice travel far but the shout was filled to the brim with excitement. Reader smiled. "What's yours fish?" Reader mused, crossing her arms and looking smug. Fighting was still surrounding the two as they hadn't moved to far from the riot, or was it a punch out now? Reader shook their head, 'silly question that no one can answer.'"I ASKED FIRST" the fish screeched while grinning. "I asked second" Reader looked smug as a bug, the fish monster groaned in frustration "COME ON!!! JUST TELL ME YOUR NAME PUNK!!!" she grunted and looked away in a pouting manner. "Sorry nah," Reader smirked, "but you can give me yours if you'd like, unless you like the name fish.""..." the fish went silent but then sighed, long and hard "FINE PUNK, MY NAME'S UNDYNE, NOW, IT'S YOUR TURN SPILL THE BEANS!!! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!" Undyne said with passion while using vague but passionate hand gestures."No one you'd know little fish," Reader stretched their arms out towards the sky, groaning, yawning and then as Undyne looked speechless the human walked away smiling but then stopped and held a hand up almost to say stop. "Oh and thanks for the fight, it was the best I've had in a while, maybe stop by my fighting ring once in a while, I come almost every fight." Reader sprinted over to Undyne and gave her a little black lettering with the words "FIGHT" in graved hundreds of times in gray on one side and on the other side an address, and number. "Come if you'd like to." Reader turned around and started walking away, slowly entering the peaceful, but loud city of Ebott and leaving behind a speechless and confused fish, "HAY YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOUR NAME!" Undyne screeched and all Reader did was laugh into the night as she faded into the city of Ebott once again.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader sighed a light gray fog pultruding from her mouth, 'weird night... Could be worse though...' she thought as she rubbed her not over flowing but still bleeding head injury. 'Stupid old man, gods this is going to get annoying'. Reader huffed and kicking pebbles as she marched, she held her hands in her pockets to avoid the slight chill of the night. The pavement was damp, making a slight slumping sound with each of her steps, and the roads lights only giving the area a slight glimpse of what was in the night. She could hear people passing by, some old, some young, but most drunk of some kind. Reader snickered, 'what a night huh...' she smiled while thinking about the exciting fish.Or better known as Undyne, 'heard of her before from the lads at the ring... What was she again... Oh yeah mafia... Wonder why that stinkin' fish was having a bash about with common folk.' Reader wondered, face lit up in a dull gleam by the road lights, Reader's attention was brought by a group of three men in dark heavy suits. Their faces hidden by bowler hats, 'easy catch,' Reader walked by and ducked her hand into his pockets swiftly, grabbing what little spare change he had as she strolled on by. The men continued on without a worry in their minds, shouting loudly while whining about their days, 'idiots' Reader thought bitterly."Gods am I close to my precious ring or whattt?!~" Reader whined as her tummy rumbled, "yeah yeah I'll get us some food just shut up already!" Reader mumbled under her breath with annoyance, 'stupid tummy with it's stupid needs, stupid human organs, ugh.'Unexpectedly a slight ring of thunderous cloud from over head was heard. "FUCK" Reader sprinted holding their hands over their hair along the pavement not paying attention she ran into a quite large person with a thud. "Ugh, sorry was just trying to get out of this stinken' rain... If I see you again I'll pay you back properly!" Reader ran around the figure, leaving them speechless as they patted themselves down. They wore a red suit with black accents and... Was that a gold tooth? No matter. Light rain started to fall and hesitant Reader looked back and was met with no one, just an empty pavement. "What the..." She shook her head 'no time for a what the actually fuck moment girl' she looked straight again and ran into a near by alley way. It was small but quite tidy, no rubbish or littering in the quaint little alley. But with narrowness it made up for it in length, Reader ran for a solid minute before they met the end.But Reader walked up to the end of the alley, the slightly purple tinted bricks of the narrow way leading her to a small door that was painted black. It had a small knocker and a little plank on the side of the door that read, 'Be wary, and be warned of the accidents that happen here, be well, be still, because none shall enter here." She grinned and extended her arm towards the door and knocked three times fast, making sure to not have a single second between each. A loud grunt sounded out on the other side, "here to have a little fun, think that'd be possible?" Reader said snickering at her musing tone, "ah haya lord how yeah doin' haven't heard from yeah since last week," the person on the other side had a gruff voice, but it sounded kind with a booming power. "Quite well, just thought I'd take a break, yeah know since I kinda was bruising for a whole damn week" the gruff voiced man started to unlock the door and laughed, the clunking and moving of metal of wood was piercing but not uncomfortable. "Well we're glad to have our little lord back none the less!" His thundering voice finally breaking free from behind the heavy oak door. He gripped Reader's shoulder and pulled her in softly, "come come, many want to see you.""Course, always in for a little fun," Reader chuckled.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader walked in grinning while chuckling, she patted the tall, buff and gruff man's shoulder firmly. "I'm sure tonight will be a wonderous, and fist filled night my friend," Reader stated, the man let out a belly laugh posing with his hands on his hips. "I'm quite sure my friend I'm quite sure! With our lord of the ring, of course we will all be well," the man smiled softly while pushing Reader inside further in the large shed like bar, It's fighting ring in the corner waiting for it's competitors. The room had an impossibly tall heighted ceiling and the room large to fit a bar side (the right) and the fighting side (the left). There was a red, and dark wooded bar that sat on the right side of the large room. The walls were painted a deep crimson red while the floor remained a black tile. The tile was cool against Reader's legs, the cool air from the tiles creeping up into her clothes her body giving her goose bumps. But then there was the great ring. It was a squared, white and risen from the ground. It was a 7.5 meters by 7.5 meters square, and had red and white string that was posted around the ring with white poles at each corner. They were strong, Reader chuckled remembering one time that she had jumped and-"Come come, we must start, your fans have been missing you so," he teased wacking her back, letting a great thump, thump, thump being heard from her back being hit. She shook her head 'weird to get in my head like that after so long' she scratched her head and nodded to the gruff man. Reader walked with pride in her step, attracting the attention of the bar go-ers. "Lord!" some shouted with drunken slurs, some raising their cups, glasses or such forth."Thank you, thank you, your all to kind!" Reader blew kisses to the crowd, some aw-ing some whistled. But tonight was a little different, there was a coolness that was different in the crowd. Something just slightly off. Reader looked around the bar, squinting her eyes to see through the gloom of the room. There was nothing, nothing at all, Reader tilted their head puzzled nearing the ominous bar. "Ah, it's good to see that our lord is back and up again" a deep female voice sounded from the other side of the bar, she word a red suit with black hair that just past her butt. It was sleek and smooth, and shined in the dim glow of the bar, her eyes were a gray, blind. No one knows why, but she can make a drink that can knock your socks off none the less. Her cherry red lips started to move, "just going to look at me or are you going to ask about the fights today?~" she giggled, "we have a few new on lookers and potential guest fighters today so you'll have plenty to dooo~" she said gleefully."New fighters my lady?" Reader questioned. "quite, monsters at that" the lady started to dry a drying rack full of dishes. Plates, cups and more making a soft clinking, the sound being the only thing between them besides the hum of the bar. "..." Reader quietened, "why so quiet? Not expecting it?"Reader nervously chuckled "no, no I just... Met a monster and invited her to a fight, I'm thinking it might be her... Didn't expect her to come so soon, still a little banged up from our fight this afternoon." Reader sighed, "hopefully I don't lose, she seems like the type to hold something against yeah..."The lady smiled wistfully, "don't worry little lord I'm sure you'll be fine. Now what do you wanna do.""I'll pick up a few fight... Got any suggestions?""Of course honey. Always for you~"
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Lady smirked and walked over to a chart that hosted various names, ages, and preferences. It was called "The list of fighters," simple but true. The board was not hung on the wall but was a small piece of white board that was left to side against the wall, the gleaming colours from different markers getting written was bright and colourful, but there sat a single name, bolded and black that wrote... lord. It was simple, not even a cap at the start of the name. But it held presence on the board of colourful names and other information.Lady scrolled across the whiteboard, using her figure to hover over a variety of names, going down the list until she found three. All men who wrote their name in red, they were ages 38-40, had heights of 6'0-6'3, and were named Aruther, Maine, and Lopez. She tapped her long figure nail against the three names and looked up at Reader amused, "think these three would be a challenge to take on or what my little lord?" She asked as she walked back to the bar space where Reader was standing and leaned on the bar top from behind.Reader looked over the names, ages, and heights. "Are they here today? Or are you going to have to call in?" Lady took a look over at the room full of people, squinting slightly while using her hand to shade her eyes. She looked left of the room, then right. "Yes they are here, would you like me to start the match now?~" she giggled and smiled cooly."It would be preferable if you can," she nodded and whistled, the bar went silent and all bar go-ers turned to face that beautiful crimson Lady of the bar. "Now, now my boys!" The bar whistled howled and cheered, "yes, yes I know I'm the best... But today we have a little treat in store... Could I have..." the Lady looked towards the white board for a moment and swung her attention back to the crowd smiling, "Aruther, Maine, and Lopez go up to the fighting ring, they have a competitorrr!~" she squealed and laughed. The bar went wild in excitement, some yelled, some whistled, and some patted the men's backs as they walked to the ring."Now I'm sure my lovely, lovely boys would love to know who on Earth asked for this fight today?" the bar oo-ed and ahh-ed. "Well we have a legend in the ranks, please give it up for our lord of the ring... Lord!" the crowded yelled in stunned yelling, the cheering even more loud than before.Reader, waved to the crowd as they walked with pride to the ring, they wore a smile and got the usual "good luck" and "go get em," from the slightly drunk people.Which Reader replied with glee, "who needs luck when you fucking awesome?" and to that the bar go-ers hooted in laugher.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader stepped up the small stairs and ducked under the white strings that held the square ring. It was in a whispering silence, so quiet that you could almost feel your hair stand on edge when you got that rush of blood like normal, the sudden erge to purge Reader liked to call it. Something she hid back in the normal world, but this place wasn't the normal run of the mil place. This was a top secret, underground fighting ring that allowed EVERYTHING. That includes but doesn't exclude to... Breaking bones, swearing, killing, eating, crushing and pretty much anything any person comes up in the ring. The ONE and ONLY rule is that you will not break the ring, or throw anything into any furniture. If the person/persons who break the furniture break it, they automatically lose the fight. Quite a few fighters have met the Ladies fist as her blood boiling rage took over her body as she plumed them into the ground until they stop breathing, or at least were beatin' until they were black, blue and bleeding.Another reason why not very many people like to leave the bar a mess, a common thing you see when someone leaves the blood bar is that they always tidy up their space, give the dishes to the counter, and be polite when in the bloodied bar.Reader smiled at the crowd and gave them a huge and knowing smile, "who's ready to have some funn~?" she whispered, the crowd made some noise, and all Reader could do was laugh while the three grown men were shivering while they stood on the opposite side of the ring, but through their fear they held firm to their ground. The gruff man treaded towards the ring, the other patrons went silent once again, resuting in the bar to turning into whispers. "Righty o', you all know the drill? Or at least you three, I know our lord over their knows but you might not. The three men stood there gawking before one of them punched one, they all one by one said yes before falling silent and going into a tense fighting position."Alrighty" the man huffed, "but I'll tell you anyway just in case some of you in the crowd don't know... Breaking bones, swearing, killing, eating, crushing and pretty much anything any person comes up in the ring is allowed. As always, DO NOT, and I will repeat, DO NOT BREAK THE RING. A single dent, or broken string will result in his, or her disqualification. The winner gets half of the bets placed on them, while the loser must pay for the winner's drink, by the way that is ONE drink not an infinite amount... I'm looking at you Randle..." the man points to a person in the crowd who pouts "it was one time Ragnar... Give me a fucking break." Ragnar smirked, "never," he jested."None the less if both parties are ready when I get out of the ring and that bell rings," Ragnar points with his thumb behind him to a small golden bell hanging just a top from the door. "Then we will begin" he huffs.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Time went slow as Reader waited smirking for the bell to ring. The wooden ring smelt of old blood and wooden polish flowed into the air and coursed around the ring making everyone buzz in excitement. But none yelled, none even dared to make a sound. The room was as quiet as a mouse as Reader stood on one side of the ring, slouched and relaxed. While her three adversaries stood afraid, shaking and weak. 'why can't they just... Try to be menacingly?' Reader pouted wondering to herself. She sighed before nodding to Ragner to start the fight. He smiled and gripped the bells rope waiting for the three to agree to continue. They shook in fear and slowly but unsurely nodded and toke a breath."Then ladies and gentlemen!~" Lady said coolly to the bar, "we have an agreeance so... Lets begin!"The bell rang and suddenly the three charged fists targeted at her head, torso and arms, she ducked and dived towards the other side and skid across the floor. The crowd shouted in glee while lining up to place their bets hurryingly. "What are you three...? Newbies to the bar...? Tourists!?" Reader started to laugh manically, "doesn't exactly matter when your dead. Meat." Reader roared a bellowing war cry as she focused on the first man of the three grabbing their arm and holding one of their hands forcefully to their stomach and fliping them over with a thud. The man landed with an oof before crying out from Readers fist meeting their fleshy face, a loud crack and thud was heard. Their nose bleed and their eyes watered. "He's done..." She sighed before kicking him under the rings strings and letting him drop onto the floor below, reader heard a small help from the man before being stormed at by the third man who scream at Reader "stupid fucking little bitch!" he threw a punch to her face and Reader smiled and toke the blow. He huffed and puffed before turning his up to look at her face, slowly but suddenly realizing what he had done, in fear his face turned pale. "Wrong choice little man~... You'll be last," Reader smirked at the man and then jumped away from the third man and went for the second. He was trembling and clenching his fists beside his body as he leaned into the ring's railing to even get an inch further away from her. He had screwed up his face and looked away in disgust or terror. Reader walked towards the man slowly their hands held together behind her back "Scared little buddy?... Hmmm well, I'll make it quick." With her final words she jumped over him and mid air turn towards him laying a final kick to his head, he stumbled and fell on his face, it made a blood curdling crunch as Reader watched as a pool of blood stained the rings wooden floor, she leaned towards him and poked him with her foot before giving Ragnar a thumbs up to signal another has 'K.O-ed.'The third man at this point had collapsed and was now shaking violently in the corner in the ring mumbling and covering his mouth, he to had stayed pale but he was also starting to sweat profusely. "P-Please I'm begging you... Mercy..." he choked out on a sob, Reader looked down at the man repulsed by the pitiful display. "If you had not punch my face..." she leaned her face closer to his and he toke a sharp breath, "you might have exited this ring a little less bruised but..." she held his chin with her fingers breaking the skin and letting it bleed he yelped before she whispered out harshly "you made the mistake of pissing me right off." A quick punch was blown to the mans stomach and she then gripped his shirt throwing him in the middle of the ring. The crowd watch in awe as they shouted, and screamed ideas to do with the man, "now now..." she turned to the crowd as she held his shirt in her hands and he stared wide eyed at the crowd and screamed "ARE YOU ALL CRAZY SHE'S A-", lifting him a few meters off the ground she glared at him he hickuped before she continued. "This is my fight, may as well take him out my way..." She chuckled, "this is gonna hurt bud."She threw him on the floor and a crack sounded out, Reader quickly lifted him checking for cracks on the ring before sighing and continuing the beating to the stupid man, she held him up before punching his gut, and he let out breathy chokes his spit slightly hanging on the corner of his mouth. His cries falling on deaf ears as his face was blooded and made into a red faced mess. His face was scrunched up and dented in others the soft nature of his skin was now starting to come apparent to Reader as she dealt one final blow. She smiled and giggled as she thumbs up-ed Ragnar as she signaled a few men over to carry him to his other two friends who, were now passed out on two chairs having basic first aid done to them. The third man's carryers how ever were stopped by Reader who put a hand on the men who were carrying him away and told them with a wide smile, "he won't be receiving first aid, only pain killers" they both nodded and Reader patted both of their shoulders before she pushed them slightly towards the other two men.Leaving Reader to stare at the man being carried away, his body limp, and, most likely, in critical condition.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
I wave good bye to the men who walked back to the table, as the third man is placed on the table with his buddies. Only barely breathing. It's strange. Every time I fight they never listen, they never, ever listen to the warnings of the bar lady about these fights. That it's kill or be killed, that their bones break and their noses snapped, Reader sighs. She look over to the bar lady her beauty radiant and nothing like her true self. she is smiling innocently. Her true nature is more of a snake than anything, Reader thought wistfully as she was approached by Ragnar his smile as wide as a bear about to grasp his first meal. "Good job young one, knew you could do it!" he bellowed and rubbed the top of my head with his fist, I let him, he is one of the few people who can touch me after all without me being... Difficult Reader pondered as he continued his onslaught before the Lady cleared her throat, showing Ragnar to back off and I to come to her. I did so obediently."Oh how well you did!~ So much money collected in so little time~!" she giggled and praised as I drew nearer to her bar. "Now now what can I get for your winnings today hmm~?" she asked her elbow placed on the bar and her hand holding her head. "Nothing today my Lady," I said curtly as I nodded to her in self thought, "just would like to save it for a rainy day if that's alright with you?"She chuckled, "of course dear, but remember to actually use it on yourself and not on no one else alright?~" she said while going to grab a glass to shine and polish, she always does loaf the dirty and love the shiny... Much like a raven..."Do I have something on my face little lord?" she teased as she pointed her glass towards me, "sorry bout that Lady, must have been staring without thinking again," I chuckle nervously as she blushed and looked at me obsessively, "of course~ how could one not stare at moir?~" Her eyes half lidded as I took a step back.Ah, don't be frightened by a little ol' lady such as myself..." she said coolly placing down her glass and starting on another, "just teasing~" she said shortly before continuing her glass and giving me a shoo-ing motion. I chuckled and nodded before grabbing her hand softly and giving it a kiss. "May we meet again my Lady..." she smiled, "I'm sure it will be soon my little lord," she stated."I nodded before sensing a small but choking aura in the bar, again, 'what the actual fuck is that-' I turned around before meeting the red eyes of another, they were a deep crimson, beautiful, and hard to stare away from. My face warmed, but there was no way I could see the rest of the strange eyes body. 'I may just have a heart attack on the second,' I chuckled nervously while thinking to myself. My feet were planted to the floor, unmoving but... Not afraid, more enraptured by the beautiful eyes I had laid my gaze upon, "beautiful..." I said breathlessly, I smiled softly, my legs taking me towards the figure, they were standing but with a group of... two. One tall, one built. But yet again I could not see their figures, 'odd but I'll be quick...' I took strides by tables, some of the crowd patting my back from my later fight before I finally was before the figure, they were as beautiful as I had hoped. His eyes still a deep crimson red looked into my eyes, his face was a little speechless and some what annoyed, 'I'll be sure to fix that,' I though to myself. As I looked him slowly up and dow, he was wearing a pitch black suit with a red tie. He also wore a black bowler hat with a red ribon that suited him and laied on his head. But there was one thing, he was... A skeleton, a rather large one at that, although not fat more big boned, I chuckled in my mind, 'better not tell him that' I noted. But... I was nearly his height, I had to slightly crane my neck up to meet his eyes. I smiled a dumb one, I could tell that I had. His teeth were sharp and hi mouth in a constant smile but one of his teeth a golden shine. It most likely would look tacky but some how he made it not. I took a breath and said quickly my face red, my eyes confident before stating. Although there was something strange, even though I was so close, I still could not see his friends. 'How odd...' I thought before being ready to talk."Your the most beautiful thing I've ever seen" I smiled softly as my voice came out breathlessly, he flinched before looking at me curiously. I chuckled, "if you would want to meet again well..." I gesture to the bar and the room, "I will be here some times, please come again so I can meet you more formally, may I?"I gesture to his hand which adorned a few golden rings, 'a gold person, duly noted,' I thought. He seemed confused but nodded wordlessly his companions in pure shock as I softly grabbed his hand and kissed it, "may we meet again my beautiful stranger," and with that I let the strangers hand go, his figure blurring as I walked towards the door. Ragnar tipping his hat as I left, I nodded in turn before bowing to the bar. They erupted into cheers as I left, I could still see those wonderfully beautiful eyes on me, "mine." I said to no one but the wind.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderMy boots clank on the floor as I left, leaving my beautiful skeleton speechless and confused. 'I wish to see him again' I thought wordlessly, trying to grasp my emotions by a single strand. I sigh as the door clasps shut, the door making a loud bang behind me."Well, guess I'm done~" I chuckle into the chilled air and the night sky, "and when did it get so damn... Late." I wander through the long alley thinking of the night. Three men put down, one to see shine another day. Such beautiful teeth, such grace in his attire. 'I want to have him' I groan into my hands as I walk, 'can't have myself becoming obsesssed, again... That would be... Unpleasant...'Finally getting to the end of the alley Reader stopped, the faint sound of drunk yelling, cars honking, and smoke through the air always put them at home. It was strange to think in the span of the few years that monsters have roamed that this fair city could get worse. But... Somehow, it did. Reader didn't mind that much anyways. It suited their life style and what they did perfectly fine, even Reader knew that it wouldn't last forever, their body growing to old for the trading of fists, their eyes would lose focus of the bar, and their tolerance for others would grow thin. But for as long as Reader could, they would continue. Reader exhaled, warm mist coming out their mouth like a dragons breath. It was strange that Reader loved fighting, death and otherwise so much. Being human this isn't new but... Some how they wished they could find someone who would be compassionate but still cruel, 'what an odd though' Reader mused, 'but an impossible one none the less.'Reader tread out onto the footpath, the soft beating heart of the city making the street echo it's noise and the small bugs of the night playing like a small lullaby to rock Reader to sleep. It was a small thing, the world, but so big when in comparison to themselves.'I will meet my beautiful skeleton again, certainly, if not I'll make sure of it.'
Sans the skeletonI had been surprised when the small human had approached me, she was smaller than me, but not quite much. I'd seen her fight and honestly, it was amusing. To see a human fight so well took guts to show it off, especially when it was against three grown men twice her size. At first I'd thought she'd lose so I spent a few bucks on the little darl' but Gaster grinned. Grinning wasn't common so I asked to switch my bet to the girl, although still a little hesitant to lose my money on some disgusting human betting...But that was before she came on stage, she was so confidant! She flouted her strength through her movements and voice, it was almost to obvious she was going easy on them, making sure to still have some gore while also taking them out in a fell swoop. 'What a woman' Sans said in though to himself his skull leaking a red smoke, but surprising unlike most other bars, none commented. None eve dared a glance.'Strange but... Not bad...' Sans though as he continued to watch this dance of fists and blood. But to think that this little bird would come up to him, his brother, and Gaster was just... Unthinkable. Thank the stars Sans had opted out on using a new type of limited time magic called, "smog" which hid your face and made it seem blurred for others. Gaster and Paps had thought it was a genius way of getting around without being sneered and stared at. But Sans had thought it'd to be cowardice and thankfully so. Otherwise would have his little sweetheart even gave him a glance? Most likely not.She had an aura to her, her eyes like she had described his was… "Beautiful" she had said to him almost breathlessly. It was strange for a human to get so close, let alone say something so... Loving... He was cautious, and a little off put but she soon deterred his worries with a kiss to his hand. She soon walked away from Sans leaving him speechless but not disgusted.Different to Gaster and Papyrus. Gaster, was chuckling and stealing glances at Sans before whispering, "how odd to think a woman would come to you first sans" he said teasingly, "usually you have to run heads a tails to get one to talk to you," he smirked before sitting at their table besides Papyrus who was drinking a glass of water. The table was small like most of the other tables, but had a red cloth over top of it unlike others, with a little piece of paper held by a metal clip, the paper had a key on it. Most likely to signify the difference between the normal people, and the Gaster brothers."Give me a break ol' man, I didn't even do nothing and your ratten' me out er'" Sans muttered still thinking about the girl as he heard the door slam shut and the bar returned a loud hum. Papyrus spoke up his voice gruff, "WELL SANS WHAT ELSE DID YOU THINK HE'D SAY IT IS TRUE AFTER ALL, YOU ALWAYS NEED TO CHASE, TO THINK A WOMAN WOULD TAKE INTREAST IN YOU IS... OBSURD... MUST BE A SPY."Sans laughed in a long bellow "to think you would not have that much faith in my... appearance is absurd! Plus It's not like human don't love my looks and my-" Gaster glared at Sans."Please do not spout such profanities in this establishment Sans, we may be coming here regularly so I would like to keep it at least in a family friendly" he muttered sternly, trying to keep the venom from his voice."Yeah yeah, I'll keep it to a minimum boss man" Sans huffed.A faint clink of wood, and streak of chairs moving was bouncing off the walls, Sans, Gaster, and Papyrus looked at a figure. "The Lady" as many on the streets called her was coming straight towards them. She wore a red suit that clinged to her curves and had a red lips that were plump but... thin. Her eyes were cloudy 'maybe confirming the rumor that she may be blind' Sans thought."Gentlemen~ welcome to my fineee esta-blish-ment!" she stated with a smile and glee present in her voice. she stopped in front of them and the bar went dead silent. "Now~ why would a don, and his family be present in my bar... I wonder." She put her finger on her chin tapping it slowly the bar felt cold, "I wonder... Is it perhaps that you are to become... Patrons to this here bar," she smirked... "I would be obliged but... You'd have some competition~!" she snickered.Papyrus and Sans seemed confused. 'competition?' they both thought as they looked at Gaster who was as equally confused, "I wasn't aware you had any patrons my Lady?..." he commented in a low voice, the air still and tense."Well I suppose you wouldn't of heard my little Lord hates to tell others buttt~" she smiled coolly, showing her sharp and jagged teeth, all three skeleton's souls beat wildly."My dearest Lord has all our hearts~..."She smiled, "sooo~ good luck to that..." she giggled, "you'd have to kill her to get that title, but know she is VERY difficult to kill, and not many have even gotten that close" she coo-ed, the bar's hearts could almost be heard as she continued. "But even if you killed our little Lord... You'd have to kill me to give up my rights to a rough group like yours..." She said her face blank before returning to a stern smile."Good luck little skeletons, and may you have a wishful day~" she turned towards her bar, her heal spinning towards it before walking with purpose."PLAN B?" Papyrus muttered, off put and swirling his glass of water."Plan B may have to be reworked..." Gaster whispered the bar now back to a normal hum of delight and glasses clinking.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
SansThings were going from bad to worse. "What are we gonna do now Boss? I have to be a little bit skeptical when all of these things have happened" Sans said as he thumped his phalanges on the table making a muffled ticking sound from the red velvet on the table.Gaster groans a rubs his temples and mutters roughly, "it certainly hasn't been going to plan. Even plan B is seeming more and more unreliable as we are told the facts" the bar was after the Lady making a fuss in the place had gone back to a very thundering rawr from the various shouts to each side of the room as the three skeletons discussed. "Are we gonna have to..." Sans leaned towards Gaster's ear making sure to see if anyone had eyes on them before whispering "kill that girl?... To make sure the plan keeps on planning?" Sans seemed hesitant as he returned to his seating position, Gaster hummed."I don't think so but, we'll see." He said before standing up from the table, "but at this time we should retreat.""ARE WE SURE THERE ISN'T ANY OTHER COURSE OF ACTION WE CAN TAKE" Papyrus bellowed shaking the room as he stood as well, but once again the patrons, like it was a normal thing for such powerful beings to shake the room, simply did nothing. "I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT THE LADY STATED THAT WE WOULD OWN HER IF WE TOO OWNED THIS LAND, I THINK WE SHOULD LOOK INTO IT. IT IS QUITE SUSPISIOUS."Gaster nodded, "this place is quite odd, I believe that would be the best idea."Gaster looked over to Sans and in a straight voice remarked "Sans you will be taking this job, DO NOT fall asleep or mess this up, this is extremely important," Papyrus butted in "NYEHEHEHE, INDEED BROTHER, DON'T GO WALFING OFF WITH THAT GIRL OR BE LAZY, I AM STILL SUSPICIOUS OF SUCH A WOMAN WHO WOULD TAKE INSTREAST IN THE LIKES OF YOU.""Shucks Boss, it's like you both don't believe in me, I'll make sure not to set the bar to low" (pun intended), "SANSSSS DON'T YOU DARE!!" Sans chuckled and took out his cigar and breathed it in, a red smoked blew into the air, "I'll make sure to be red-y... Hehe..." Papyrus yelled before Sans stood up and started to walk towards the door still thinking of that girl while Gaster and Papyrus followed closely behind. Before they could reach the door Sans felt a tap on his shoulder, slowly he turned his head towards the Lady, he froze. "My dear, the little lord told me to give you this," a small red enelope had the intitals of L on it, it was simple but had weight to it. "Simply... Do come back, I haven't seen my little Lord like that in..." the Lady smiled softly, Sans raised an eyesocket, 'what is this lady plotting?' he though before her voice traveled to his ears "a very long time. So please do come back, even if it is only you dear."With that the Lady turned and left leaving the skeleton skeptical but... A soul that fluttered, 'the fuck...' Sans tapped his ribcage to get it under control before Papyrus' voice pierced his eardrums "SANS GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT HERE NOW." Sans nodded towards the door before heading out into the crisp air, a slight smell of vanilla, metal and... Coffee filled his nasal bone.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderTime pasted slowly for the next few weeks, the nights cold and long and the days still and calm. The streets were usually quiet as well, and the quick work that Reader did at the Lady's bar was a bore to Reader. It was to quick, she squirmed in her seat as she thought of the exciting and heart pumping battle between Undyne the fish and herself so many weeks ago. It was so very odd but Reader felt as if she'd forgotten something. It didn't surprise Reader though, she regularly forgot small things later remembering quickly and gaining ground once again on the forgotten subject. Many regarded Reader as somewhat of a... Genius but not, at the same time. Her ability to soak in knowledge like a sponge had made her renowned for her smarts, but the thing was she never remembered any of the subjects she learnt after the subject in question had finished. The only type of subject that she'd never forgotten was how to fight, but that was only due to the fact that she used it almost everyday, even then sometimes it can take her longer to get into the grove if she hadn't done it for a few weeks, which was exactly what was wrong with her. At first it was just one week but now it had been put off for just over 2 weeks. The mornings were probably both Reader's favourite time of day and least favourite, the down side to a morning was that she had to get up. The upside was it was quiet. A 5:30am start meant that she could do what she wished for at least 2 hours until she had to smell, and hear the odd clicks and clanks of her apartment complex. It was a small home one tucked away from Ebott's daily people and more on the side of "probably going to murder you if you look at them wrong" vile. It was a odd home, small and smelt of dirt and a forever engraved scent of... Morning dew which wasn't bad per se, Reader had though once, but it wasn't best suited for her line of work as it generally hid the scents of others from her as it was incredibly strong.Reader got up out of her bed, it was filled with blankets and pillows in a small nest like shape as she stretched she got out of bed and wandered to the kitchen. Reader may not have a lot of money which contradicts how she acts and what she owns but she was. Reader had her own coffee maker, it was full out, it had a coffee grinder, a foam maker, and a water spout. It could make all types of coffee, and Reader knew how to make at least a few that most would like. Many tried to guess her favourite coffee to win her favor, black coffee, lungos, or cafe style coffees in big cups. But one of Readers favourite was a milky flat white with 2 teaspoons of suger. Something that would make most gag at the amount of suger content. But Reader knew it did the trick so she drank out of her blue mug sitting on her lumpy couch watching the sun rise into the sky once again."Mornin' Ebott" Reader chuckled as she finished her drink and got up with a groan as her bones popped, she begrudgingly shuffled her way to wash her last nights dishes in the kitchenIt had been 2 weeks since she'd visited the bar, and she was sure that there was something that she had forgotten with a smell that reminded her of metallic, 'perhaps a human?...' she thought as she finished off the last of the glasses, polishing and making them shine before putting them on the dish rack. "Nah... It feels like a..." Reader paused as she searched her memories, "a stranger... Ah... My beautiful stranger, I hate that I had forgotten such a diamond."Reader smiled as she finished the plates stacking them against the rack in perfect order before finally getting to the cutlery. Time was something that got away from Reader, it flowed so fast for her, her days extended but quick as she checked the clock on her wall a diner type red and neon lights showing the times. 'Already 12?... Musta' slept in... Or I'm just real slow this morning' Reader sighed as she finally finished washing the dishes draining the sink and rinsing down the area making it once again shine."Would my stranger even be there, might have already given up on me, being that it's been 2 weeks... I hope I didn't make him wait, oh gods above what he sat sadly in a corner of that bar because of me...? Geez I'm an asshole." Reader muttered to themselves rubbing their bow hardly to relive the stress of leaving that beauty alone.Reader slowly made their way to the door of their apartment the smooth silver metal cool on their hand when she grabbed it, the clicks and clanks of the lock turning until she finally made her way out into the day.She walked down the 4 story building down the painfully long stairs to the bottom and walked out into the streets, they were not quiet but they weren't violent just peaceful, which now-a-days was suspicious as fuck and should be looked out for in case a gang war was about to start which... To be honest Reader had accidentally involved herself several times because of how thrilling they are... But that wasn't the point she had a side/story mission to complete she nodded to herself. To see if her stranger had came back to see her and if he or she...? They looked like a guy but Reader had seen plenty of people who looked one way but was another... 'Best I ask my dear next time' Reader chuckled as she took long strides towards her bar.Weaving down the alleys and through the secret door finally making her way inside."Oh my dear~" the Lady coo-ed as Reader walked towards to the bar finally taking a seat in front of her, "what do I owe the pleasure my little lord?" Lady stated plainly smiling softly while making her hands busy with a glass, polishing it to shine."Did... The stranger come back, the one with a bowler hat and was tall?..." Reader seemed to be reaching for the memory like it was far away but still there as she said it quietly as to not draw attention."I'm sorry my dear, your little fling didn't come back" Lady didn't make eye contact with Reader, thankfully so as Reader's face fell and her eyes passed to the floor.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
SansSans walked with his brother, Papyrus, and his father, Gaster. They had a presence to them, always had, but up above with humans it was more so. Giant skeletons that resembled your own self if you were dead can be quite off putting to look or talk to. Which made it odder for that lovely darl' to come and talk to Sans. Perhaps Papyrus was right, and she was a spy to get a look at the Gaster family. Wouldn't be the first or the last, Sans took a puff of his cigar a red fog enveloping him as he walked his families figures blurry to even him. This odd new stealth magic made walking around simpler, but it made it so other monsters couldn't see their counter parts ether. 'A double edge sword if yeah ask me...' Sans thought.Soon Gaster reached the vehicle, it was a long black car with tinted windows and extra tall as to accommodate for Papyrus. Sans remembered amused what had happened when the Gaster family had requested such a vehicle, an uproar between the engineers and them ensued. In the end the engineers yielded and created this tank of a car."Sans," Gaster said shortly making the air grow still with tension, "yes?..." Sans responded. Small red droplets of red running down his face as Sans tried to keep a straight face his smile that engraved into his skull twitching."You are to investigate this place, but under no circumstance are you to visit it." Gaster put his hand on the handle of the car and opened it and paused before stepping into the back right seat, "I have a feeling that this place could snap us all like a twig if it wished." Gaster stepped into the car and shut the door, making no room for debating. Although Gaster couldn't see or hear Sans he replied under his breath "yes boss," Sans dropped his cigar onto the sidewalk and stepped on it, a fizzle ringing through Sans' ears as he walked towards the other side of the car door of the back. Papyrus in toe going to the front passenger seat beside a masked driver who waited for his order. Both Papyrus and Sans stepped in, making quick work of getting settled in despite both of their sizes. Once both were ready Gaster nodded to the driver who without a acknowledgement started the car and drove. Through side streets and secret ways, dark, and streetlights guiding the way until they made it to a mansion which shone in the moonlight, the white and browns contrasting with the skeleton brother’s physique and looks as they all got ready to get out. Gaster gave a nod to the driver as they stopped. They all got out of the car their shoes making small thuds on the rocky driveway as they approached a large oak door, it's handle brass, making a slight click as they all walked in. "SANS I AM GOING TO HAVE A SHOWER AND THEN DO THE WASHING; I BETTER SEE THAT SOCK THAT HAS BEEN HANGING AROUND IN. THE. WASHING. DO YOU UNDERSTAND SANS?"Sans chuckled, "course Boss, wouldn't dream of not doin' it or else I'd be... All washed up." Sans walked towards the couch and sat down as he heard Papyrus behind him "SANS NO PUNS IN THE HOUSE, I HAVE TOLD YOU TIME AND TIME AGAIN." Papyrus grumbled as he walked up the stairs, until one stair which creaked, "NYEH!" Papyrus shrieked as he stomped to the bathroom finally slamming the door.Gaster sighed before turning to sans and glared "do not rile Papyrus up, it make things... Difficult, you know how your brother is and we do not want a redo of what happened when you both fought last time, correct?"Sans nodded before reaching for his pocket, "and no cigarettes' inside, you know it ticks Papyrus off tenfold," Gaster said sternly as Sans slid his hand away from his pockets to beside him as he cursed lightly under his breath. As 2 weeks went by Sans was busy, he did research into the 'lord' of the ring that had said to have never lose. How they have both a female and male attributes, but most saw them as a female. 'Such a woman she was, now why would she interact with me...' Sans had thought this over and over, it was bad enough that he would be going into heat. It had been months since his last, but it was sure to happen in 3 months. 'Maybe by then I have her' Sans thought as he took a drag of his cigarette his head facing the ceiling of his room as he lay back to his bed.'It's been 2 weeks and from the information I found this gal doesn't get around. At the moment anyway. Maybe I should check the bar, but then again if Gaster found out he'd take my skull for im' self,' Sans mused as he rolled over on his side before he heard a loud knock at his door."SANS WAKE UP! I HAVE MADE A MAGNIFICANT BREAK AND YOU LAZYASS WILL NOT MISS IT!" Papyrus roared as the door slightly shook from the force of his voice."Yeah, yeah m' comin'..." Sans yawned as he rolled out of bed and slowly put on his suit, bowler hat. Sans looked at his cigars on his table and reached for them, before shaking his head and walking out without them, 'you don't need em' you only want em'" Sans repeated in thought as he wandered down towards the kitchen were a smell of bacon and eggs flowed around him.Sans sat down at the table, both Papyrus and Gaster sat already. Gaster held a newspaper and had a black coffee by his right side. Gaster lifted his head and looked into Sans' eyes before shifting them down to his newspaper again, "Sans you will be going to that bar today, I presume that you have done your research correct?"Sans confused asked "but I thought yeah didn't want me goin' to that place, had 'a bad feeling' if I remember it correct?""I think it'd be best for you to scout it out alone, because not only the lady wanted you back but that little lord as well."Sans went silent as he looked at his food.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
SansIt didn't take long for Papyrus and Gaster to hurry Sans out of the house, the task that Gaster had assigned Sans was simple. Get in, get the information on the bar, possibly information on why and when the bar had been taken over by the Lord, and maybe get a little information on the lord themselves. Easy, it was suppose to be a quick in and out something that Sans didn't need to plan for. No guns or otherwise. As Sans readied himself by the door his hand (carple) laying to rest on the door nob Papyrus stopped him and glared down at Sans his sharp attitude most likely for an array of events that Sans most certainly couldn't guess. Papyrus' arms were crossed and face stone cold. "What's up boss?" Sans said with a smile dripping with sarcasm and fake cheer as he pulled his hand away from the nob and faced his brother.Papyrus sighed and gave Sans a piece of paper, the title wrote 'Bloods bar,' the paper had a whole page of writings the subtitles including, background, age, number of attendees, doorman, barkeep, and Lord. "THIS SHOULD HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND WHAT, AND WHO THEY ARE," Sans tried to start to speak but Papyrus cut him off, "AND YES I KNOW YOU HAVE DONE... PLENTY OF RESEARCH YOURSELF BUT I DID SOME DIGGING AND THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING DEEPER CONNECTED TO THIS LORD, AND THE BAR ITSELF.""Yea' I've done the research so bug off... I' don' need ur' elp'," Sans grunted as he turned around towards the door annoyed with the delay, "I know that it's bad but... I have this... Tug so I need to figure it out... K boss?," he sighed as he put his hand on the door, his golden rings clinking on the door nob."ALRIGHT DUMBASS BUT YOU BETTER NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID AND RUIN THIS FOR ALL OF US," Papyrus pronounced, putting his hand on his ribs, arms bent confidently as he pointed at Sans, scowling menacingly."I got cha' boss, just try to have some confidence in me," he chuckled as he went out the door, a car was waiting, it's sleek tank like build with a gleaming black paint coat made it easy enough to spot, in most environments that is.Sans go in and spoke to the driver, directing him with a firm tone to go the the bar from a few weeks ago, and just like that day, the driver nodded and started to drive. Smoothly and calmly. 'Not at all like Papyrus' drivin'' Sans thought with a small snickered to himself as he started to feel his eyes droop and his head go fuzzy. "Just a small nap... Driver make sur' to wake me K?..." Sans yawned as the driver gave a thumbs up and continued driving through the streets as the suttle noise of the cars engine and movement lulled Sans into sleep. As Sans woke up from his slumber the driver made a small whistle, "uh arhm... Wha..." Sans half asleep mumbled groggily slowly got up from his sleep and repositioned his hat, and straightened his tie and suit. The suit was a unending black, and the tie a blood red. The only other spot of colour was the fedora's small ribbon of red that made the hat not sink into all of the other darker colours. 'At least that's what Mettaton had said it was for...' Sans mused as he got out of the car, a crushing thud of the brick bellow his feet, and the alleyway that lead to the bar that that weird-.... No the bar where he was instructed to go.Sans had an odd feeling as he walked down the alley, it was like a coffee and metal scent was caught on his nose. It enveloped the alley like his red smoke does similarly. But it wasn't a bad thing, and oddly, Sans felt pulled faster down the alley. His soul bet in his ribcage steadily as he walked, thud thud, thud thud, thud thud.
What Sans wasn't expecting was the little darl' to be standing at the bar talking to the lady er' self. Sans stayed quiet as he asked the doorman Ragnar in a low whisper, "that's the lord correct?... I had thought they were not..." He coughed as he realizing his mistake, "I haven't seen the darl' around these parts for a while."Ragnar looked down on the skeleton with a slight glare, his stare made the big skeleton sweat, his forehead slightly wettened by red beads of sweat. But with a sudden Ragnar gently spoke, "she doesn't have a plan of where or where my lord goes, simply, she goes, and we follow." Ragnar smiled as the Lady slowly signed a bout for Sans to come closer and Ragnar nodded."You have been summoned" Sans start to walk but Ragnar let his hand fall on Sans' scapula and gripped it firmly, "but, I must warn you not to... Anger ether my lord or my Lady." Ragnar let go of Sans' shoulder and let him walk once again.'My lil' darlin' seems to ave' quite the rep-u-ta-tion round er'." Sans chuckled as his eye lights blinked with red light before returning to his lesser red eyes. Smirking Sans crossed the room, his big body swaying and small thumps and creaks from the wooden floor dripped to join the small conversations of few who sat amongst the bar.Dripping with curiosity and friendly tones Sans adjusted his tie and looked down to y/n and deeply growled, "how you goin' darl~?" Sans chuckled when y/n seem to gain a slight shiver, possibly from his voice. He liked that, ooh yes he did.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderReader looked at Sans star struck as they smiled softly craning their neck up to meet Sans' eyes, "hello my stranger, it is a pleasure to see you again after... 2 weeks" she said with a nervous chuckle. Readers face felt hot and their chest grew tight like a heart attack, their eyes Reader back up against the bar and Lady scurried away to another customer waiting across the bar.Reader's voice was laced with hints of strain as they spoke, "what brings you here, after being away for so long."Sans nodded, "dats fair that you would like to know, seein' that you invited me, but that doesn't really excuse you for bein' away as well toots." Sans then patted his pockets to look for something but sighed and grumbled under his breath frustrated. Reader looked at his pockets wondering what he had forgotten or wanted.Returning Sans' eye contact to Reader and grinned with eyes half lidded he mused, "I'm er truthfully for some... Information bout' this joint," he waved his hand around to gesture to the place in a rough hand swing movements as he walked to a bar stool and sat facing Reader. The seat let out a stretched screech before going silent. The area had grown cold, silent, and tense as Reader clenched their chest with their hand."Was wonderin' if we could have a chat, just you and me darl'," a business smile was planted on Sans' face, it was plain but amused like he had seen a funny show he patted the seat besides him in two loud taps.Reader looked over to the seat and sighed, "alright, but I don't know how much will help you stranger," Reader paused, "most likely you'll be more disappointed than not."Reader sat besides Sans', back straight and their chest still feeling heavy, like someone had grabbed her heart... Her SOUL. But she waved it off "as she looked over the bar, avoiding San's hard gaze, she could feel his eyes traveling up and down her body, more so to the parts of her that were endue. It gave her a chill, but also a calling, a need."So my dear stranger, what would you like to know," Sans though for a moment before gruffly asking, "what's yer name?... It's not really Lord ain't it?" He had his elbows on the counter and his hand cradling his skull so that he didn't need to hold it up. Letting his eyes track Reader's movements, with his ever lasting smile implanted upon Reader."It's Reader, and you my dear stranger, unless you wish for me to keep on calling you... Stranger" Reader chuckled hushing-ly."It's Sans, Sans the Skeleton," Reader giggled at his introduction and met his eyes with a calming smile."I'm Reader, Reader the human."Reader's chest started to lighten, no longer did she feel a crushing pain that wouldn't go away. Now she felt lighter than a bird. But also a bird with butterflies and a hot face. She was definitely smiling to much, and definitely had a weird face. But Reader hopped that their interaction would continue and her heart could feel like this always."Sans... Sans... Yes I do love how your name rolls off my tongue," Sans' face looked confused but Reader waved it off, "do not fret, it is not a bad thing.""Hope it is..." Sans murmured under his breath, "what was that" Reader said quickly."Nothin', nothin' at all darl'."
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader/SansReader raised their hand to call for a drink, a small glass slid down the bar, and clinked as it landed it in her hands. She chuckled, "so what have you heard, about lil' ol' me Mr. Sans, a little here a little there?" She raised her glass to her lips and took a sip of her drink, it was cool and went down smoothly. Reader could feel that slight burn that always came with alcohol. That little rush that made sure you were alive. Reader looked the skeleton up and down, "I'm not sure once again that I have any information that will help you, but I will try my best."Sans smirk was wide, it made Reader's heart thump as she saw how his golden tooth gleamed in the dim room. A small star in the mist of a room of dark. "I really wanted tah see yeah toots, you reallyyy intrigued me, well, me and my family" Sans said his voice smooth but stilled like the drink laying beside you. He raised his hands and talked with the bartender. Sans, not like you, had no connections here, they had no clue what he wanted. So when he mutter that he wanted a musterd bottle, though a little caught off guard the bartender grabbed under the bar, and placed it in front of the skeleton who took a sip and returned to face Reader once again. "We know who yeah are lil' darlin', we know that this here place is yers... And we want it," He said plainly as he took another sip of his drink.Reader shivered, "I... Am not sure what you mean Mr-" Sans put his hand up, "don't call me mr... Unless yeah wanna do somethin' else~" he teased "just Sans is fine sweetheart." Sans put his hands down onto the bar and slightly leaned onto it."Dont fuckin' bullshit me toots, I ain't here to play so give it up. How the hell did someone... No less a woman... Find and take over this here establishment?" his eyes were cold as he spat out his words, a slow but steady stream of red glowed from his eye.Reader went silent as she avoided Sans eyes that went straight through her. Sans voice dropped to a low rumble, "I hate to throw around a gal, but if yeah keep avoiden' me I'mma have tah get a little, violent."Reader sighed, "fine you got me, I own this building but what are you going to do hm? Are you going to hit me Sans or are you gonna pussy out? Because everyone, and I mean everyone here is on my side so. Choose your words wisely." Sans' fingers strummed against the bar top and he thought and thought. "I do know that toots but, I simple wanna ask, would ja just give up the place, we'll treat it real nice," Sans sneered as he went to chug back his musterd. It was a quick motion as Sans stood up."How about we go to a more..." He looked around the bar, the bar goers had their faces turned to a glare as they whispered. "Casual spot eh? Would be best for this type'a talk" Sans offered his hand to Reader, his golden rings shined to perfection. Although, there was one thing off about his hands, or rather bones. They seemed to just be a touch dark red, a grayed and dull red that just felt odd. Reader took his hand and was pulled up as if she was as light as a feather her thoughts still swirling in her mind. Sans held Reader's hand in a soft, but firm grip that made Reader feel... Off, and fluttery."Then if yeah accept I'll be takin' this gal eh?" Sans turned to the Lady she kept her head down polishing a glass that seemed to always be just a tad to dull to the Lady. "Well if our little lord doesn't mind it, I have no right to stop her... But do keep safe dearie hmm?~" Reader nodded as they both walked out of the bar."So toots... Where yeah been?" Sans said his hands in the pocket of his suit pants as he kept to small steps as to not have to drag you along. "Been... Busy, I suppose I just lost track of time as well... But I think what's more important at hand is that... What do you really want Sans the skeleton, you've been awfully odd when you've been talking to me."Sans looked up and scratched his skull, "I suppose I'm a bit confused me self darl' why would a gal like you take interest in me that time? I was very flattered by yer... Display a few weeks ago, callin' me beautiful... Walkin' off now dat's a bit odd eh?""I liked your eyes." Reader said shortly. Sans stopped and pointed to his eye sockets and laughed, "you?- You liked my eyes so yeah just strolled on up to me and-" he wheezed and slapped his knee (?) "you thought yeah would just tell me?... There's no way toots no offence, had tah want somethin' else... Drugs, money, something more~?" He teased."No! Just... I liked you, I just had this feeling and I... I'm sorry. We can ignore it if you'd like Sans. Also we should really talk about business." Reader started to walk again leave Sans to follow, he did following beside her. "I don't wanna forget it little sweetheart but we're talkin' bout' it later is that clear as stone?" Reader nodded as they finally made it out of the alley."We could go over to the park, it's nice and secluded. Easy to run out of Mr. Mafia if need be" Reader chuckled. Sans stared in shock at Reader as they walked over to the park, "good idea, but only cos of the seclusion. How do yeah even know about the mafia part of it toots-""Because I am not an idiot Sans, you look, smell, and talk like a mafia. Plus who would have the amount of money to slander in this kind of economy on suits and such. I had an idea, you just confirmed it," Reader stated using her hands to show physically what she had meant.Sans roared with laughter as he wiped a red tear from the corner of his eye his voice was light but still a low one, "what a clever girl!" he continued his onslaught of laughter it bellowed and echoed in the park, the trees bouncing the sound around. Reader's stomach felt light as he laughed, like a field of butterflies had crawling into Reader's belly, "I guess you got me there huh my clever girl!""But lets be serious for a second..." Without any warning Sans picked up Reader and threw her over his shoulder and walked straight into the deep growth of tree line away from the park path. "HAY LET ME DOWN!" Reader cried as she wriggled, "this is... This is kidnaping!" Sans chuckled as he heard her cries.Sans put down the girl as she pouted, "now what in the fucking hell was that for Sans?" Reader screeched in a whispering yell, "could of at least given me a bloody warning..." Reader murmered annoyed tone."Now we can really talk, tell me... Do you actually like me toots?"
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Sans/Reader"I don't understand, what do you mean I-" Sans' fist collided with a the tree beside you his hand just to the left of your face, it had created a large dip in the tree. The bark had caved in allowing a hole to form that made you shiver. "Reader. I am a monster. That means that I will never be... Normal I will never be accepted. There is no way in hell that a gal like you would even look my way without somethin' else. So TELL ME." he roared, "why would you look my way?" he was stern and short his eyes, like before had taken on a glowing red that pierced at Reader's SOUL. But this time it held a sadness, something that pleaded for her to say somethingSans felt odd, every time that he had looked this humans way, he felt that his very being... His very SOUL was being pulled to her. He didn't want to admit it, he wouldn't that a girl so odd, a human so odd. Would attract his attention, a mer human. Something both his brother and his father despises. He just couldn't risk such a breakable thing as something he loves. He would break her, an morn the little he would be left. What would her family think? What would everyone think?"I don't know," Reader sobbed as she held her eyes with her hands, "I don't even know why I'm crying."Sans felt his chest pull him towards her, it was painful, he wanted to hold her, kiss her and tell her that everything was alright now, that her one and only had arrived into her life. That-, Sans' breathing hitched. "Yer my SOULmate toots..." He said breathless, he took a step back and put his hands to his face and groaned. "This is the WORSE case stars!" Sans rumbled."Sans is this really the worse thing?" Reader spluttered out he eyes red from the few droplets that had poured down her face."It really ain't I suppose I'm just not really sure what tah do bout' this," Sans sighed his phalanges rubbing the back of his skull before looking at Reader up and down. To be honest Sans really did fancy Reader. Their every curve or lump or otherwise was beautiful. Although most human woman would call him a pervert for sayin' it he really did think so! You looked like a total angel, one he wanted to soil. But he would leave it for now. Offer a deal, see where it leads. She'll eventually start to like em, it was written in their SOULs that they would dance this dance of life together after all. Sans had a smug smile planted on his face as Reader thought about Sans. He was rough around the edges, a jerk, kinda werid but... Still she liked him. Reader found that his voice just rolled over her, and that little laugh of his made her flutter. 'Maybe this thing would work out...' Reader pondered as she rubbed her eyes a little more allowing her to finally regain her vison."What do you wanna do sweetheart?" Sans said his voice low as he gained speed and quickly went close to Reader almost teleporting (he did) Sans grinned as he held Reader's waist and rapped his arms around her slowly. "We can try it out... We are SOULmates after all ain't we~" he chuckled as he whispered in her ear.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Reader
I can feel his hot breath on my neck as I shiver his body pressed close into mind, his arm laying lazily on the tree beside me. "So what'll it be sweetheart?" he said gruffly, his tooth even now gleaming in this haze. "Sans this admittedly is..." I sigh as I push him back pulling away from the tree and walking over to a patch of grass, I sat down the dew sticking to my clothes."It's just to fast, I don't know what I should do, I've heard of SOULmates from the monsters I've met but I haven't even heard of a monster and human who..." I grumbled into my hands as I curl into myself, the wind flowing freely through my hair.I could feel Sans' heavy steps, they made the ground slightly rumble as he walked before he sat next to me, although still at arm’s length apart. It seemed like he held back his weight so, not like his 'rumble' that happened while he walked would happened when he sat.I chuckled, "I got to admit though this is... Such an odd way to meet my destined to be," I hinted as I removed my hands from my face to try and settle my growing butterflies in my stomach.Sans groaned into his phalanges, "I have tah' agree there toots, I really thought I'd be alone forever."I tilted my head towards Sans, 'how could someone so beautiful think that?' Sans' laughed, a full belly laugh that made Readers heart swell. 'laugh again' I thought, 'please.'"You do know dat' yeah said that out loud sweetheart" Sans' scooched closer his shoulder touching mine, it sent a cool feeling down my arm that buzzed like a fly. I felt myself blush as I turned away to hide it."I In fact didn't know that, but thanks for telling me. Dear but why do you think you'd be alone?" I smirked as I looked away, 'that'll teach you to call me such stupidly cute nicknames' I thought mischievously, 'stupid skeleton.'“Didn’t know a darl’ like you were the one for nicknames… Or is dat’ tah get back at lil’ me for my pokes of fun? But I mainly thought that as there's over a billion humans, and I had already looked around the underground so... Not dat' much HOPE” Sans said a playful chuckle playing onto the wind as he bumped his elbow against my shoulder.I shrugged as he asked about the nickname as I looked to the side grinning from ear to ear trying to settle my laughter, "Sans you... I think your the most beatiful person I've ever seen, don't worry about that" I nudged him in the shoulder back.Sans sighed once again the ever growing tension in his shoulders seeming to slow, "so I hate to be the... Well the responsible one sweetheart but what do yeah wanna do about this? We can take it slow or hop into the relationship although I would like to do some... Unsavory things I will not force yeah toots, that, I can promise." Sans said his hand over his chest in a fist as he winked at Reader.I thought as Sans looked over to me still wearing that smile, 'does he ever not smile?' I thought absentmindedly before taking a breath, 'come on Reader just say it!'"Sans I want to try..." I gestured my hands between us both, "but you gotta promise to take it slow-."Without warning Sans tackled Reader into the grass as he hugged her smiling brightly. 'Sans is lighter than I thought Reader' mused 'wonder if I can pick him up...'"Stars thank you sweetheart! I will promise to be slow, I- I will I won't do notin' to make yeah run away!" He laughed as he stood up and picked Reader up as easily as picking up a pillow as he held her close and whispered sternly, "I promise.""Yeah yeah dumbass, just maybe let me down please this is... A little to tight" I muttered, Sans let Reader down slowly onto the grass. It was still dark and now the stars had come fully out."So sweetheart, when would yeah like a date eh? My bro wouldn't forgive me if I didn't give a lil' lady like yeah a proper date" He said softly as he once again patted his pockets for something only to realize he had left what ever he had forgotten at home....
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderLooking up at Sans I thought two things, one 'damn he's big' and two, 'I want to pick this big boy up.'I smile with a smirk and sigh as I shake my head, my hands bent confidently by my side. "First of all, why do you want my bar, and my ring?" I say teasingly as I poke his side softly. 'Man his skin... No bones are soft' I thought while Sans looks out his eyes looking over the park he was quite and I felt the unease coming off him as he stood in front of me."You... You don't have to tell me, you know that right Sans?"Sans grumbled under his breath as he sighed, the cold air making his breath into a white smoke. "I know sweetheart but I... I should, my family wants your bar as a kind of meet up spot and centre of our 'family' if you know what I mean?" Sans spoke gruffly as he rubbed his pockets, "If It was to actually happen..." Sans' eyes looked fuzzy and hard to see, "it wouldn't be a good time."Reader thought for a moment her eye's bridge crinkled in thought as she scratched the back of her head, "I could give you the bar as a co-owner? Would that work for your family? Because that would mean that not only would I have a say in who works there but also what happens while also letting your family to use it."Sans spied at Reader from the corner of his eye his right eye bone lifting slightly, "are you sur' about dat' Darl? Would be pretty eh... Well, lets just say it would be a lot tah deal with yeah? And there would be a few people that my family would want to be permanently stationed at the bar."Reader looked up at the sky, the clouds were overcast and fogged. The one thing that Reader knew was that Sans was dangerous, his family was dangerous. Reader looked at Sans with a soft beam. Sans looked confused at this and questioned Reader with a murmer, "is somethin' the matter?"Reader chucked, "no no, not at all I'm just thinking... Do you think that I could take some of your enemies?" I joked trying to hide my underlying worries of the danger to my family, my bar, my people.Sans looked like he noticed my lie but he brushed it off, 'thank you' I thought."Well you might be able to maybe defeat some toots, you do seem pretty strong I'll admit that, but you would probably have some trouble with my blood family and myself" he smirked."But, you'd be ok, I'll step in if you need help, your my soulmate after all," he uttered quickly a slight redness dusting his face before it quickly left his skull like it had never been there.'Cute...' Reader mused to herself."Eh? What do you mean Sans! I'd wipe the floor with at least some of your family," I smirked cheekily "plus it's kinda of werid to say but I only really use some of my strength in the ring!" I snickered...."Oh yeah right, think you could beat me sweetheart?" his smile grinned wide his golden tooth gleaming."Anytime big boy." I teased as I saw his face redden.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderI looked Sans up and down as he looked at me curiously his right eye socket raising, "what are you thinking about doing there sweetheart?"I smile as I walk close to Sans and then lift him up quickly. It's a princess hold, and makes Sans' breath hitch quickly as he puts his arms around my neck. "Stars! Jesus give a skeleton a warnin' there toots!" he says as I see small sweat beads of red rolling down his head.I chuckle softly as I start to walk as I can see Sans slightly panicked, "hay uh sweets you can, you can put me down now?..." He seems to question his words as he looks at me. The one thing that surprised me about Sans when I picked him up is how light he is, sure he was slightly heavy but he was really the weight of maybe a wooden door or maybe like... 60kg? Maybe it was more but Reader was a generally fit person. Not only did she do her regular fights and personal training but she NEVER took transportation. This was for two reasons. One it was to expensive, and two it smelt like crap."Gonna go back to my bar and talk yeah?" Reader spoke, she seemed to be just saying it to the wind as she zoned out.Sans seemed to be speaking but it had quickly turned into a light hum in the back of her mind as she trudged back to her bar with Sans in her arms, he was so warm and oh did Reader just want to take him home and lock hi there. But, no that is bad, Reader berated herself as Sans squirmed in her arms. Thankfully it was about 8pm or 9pm but still Reader shouldn't make Sans' "street credit" get destroyed by being held by a woman.Slowly Reader put Sans down onto the pavement nearby to her alley it smelt like home, and perhaps maybe it smelt like her. Honestly one or more people had noted that it had started to smell like a metallic smell with hints of morning dew and coffee grinds. Reader liked that more than she would care to admit. Reader looked at Sans he seemed confused and slightly annoyed, probably because she had zoned out the entire walk and most likely had not responded to him the whole time."What's wrong Skulls?" Reader questioned softly tilting her head. Sans seemed to stop and think for a moment, 'must not know what to say' she mused."... Yer pretty strong toots but uh... What happened back there you kinda weren't listenin' tah me, don't mind but what wrong?" Sans seemed genuinely concerned as he scratched his skull completely ignoring Readers nickname 'skulls.'"don't know, just kinda was thinking, now, what would you like to do?"
UNTIL NEXT TIME...!
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
??? (Reader)Reader chuckled. He was just to cute. Like a little rabbit who was pissed at her for taking his carrot as he stared at her. His glare getting more intense over time. Most people at this point would ether been intimidated to the point of not return, run, or picked a fight with her skeleton.'Already claiming him as ours are we?' A voice said mischievously Reader could hear the grin in its voice.'Shut it.' Reader said back stern. Her face must have contorted because Sans galre turned into a slightly concerned one.Reader waved her hand back and forth in front of her face, teaching out towards the skeleton's hands to hold them. The meeting between flesh and bone was a cool contrast. While Reader was hot and semi clammy from the walk. Sans' hands were cold but felt as if they had an underlying heat. The alleyway welcomed Reader and Sans. It's dark atmosphere was like a path to Reader's homeFamiliar, homely, and invitingReader looked back to Sans, he seemed confused. That must have happened since she hasn't talked for a while she turned her head forward again and began to talk."Don't worry I'm not gonna bite. Also sorry about spacing out there. My mind likes to wander." I say apologeticly the words rolling off my tongue."All good sweetheart just... Was a bit annoying when yeah didn't reply dats' all, " Reader could feel his emotions. It was something she could always do. Reading the people around her like a book. Monsters were no different. Hell they seemed even easier."I'll try to keep it in mind. Since we are going to be seeing each other for the most likely foreseeable future" Reader teased throwing a smile back at Sans. The door was in sight now."So Sans, we are going to have to work out a lot of stuff once we get into my bar. So I'll bring you upstairs but uh... Don't mind the others yeah?" Readers says almost as if she was reassuring herself."Why would they ave' a problem with me toots?" His happy grin turned slight frowned as he kept walk behind Reader his shoes making an echoing Clank on the stone ground."Mostly cos they would've thought we were gonna go fight. If you come back and go in first in that bar. They will most likely strike first questions later." I use my hands to gesture him getting killed or chopped or-"Yeah yeah I get it. I'd die. Don't have any faith that I'd survive do you sweetheart?" He joked as he laughed with his belly."Nope, Lady would get yeah faster than I would" I laugh along with him.It felt good to laugh besides laughing forcefully."I guess I would really be skin and bones eh?* the laughing didn't stop." Skulls no that's so bad. I'm sure your just... Rib-ing me on! " I she'd a tear as I continued to wheeze and laugh. The contagious nature of the laughter catching quicker than fire."I guess they'd really have a bone to pick with me!" Sans started shaking with laughter as he to was struck with a fit of giggles and tears from the lack of oxygen."Oh stars your a good one Sans!" I started to breath heavily as I calmed myself down from the laugh session and slight... Pun war.Sans started to calm down to once again feeling his pocket as if something was missing."Lost something?" I say muse, I look down at his empty pocket questioning. He looked surprised "surprised you noticed... I was trying not to smoke today. Became a habit to reach down I suppose..." He grunted, "it'll be right."His smile was relaxed.I nod understanding."Wanna smoke I can get yeah one?" I ask."Nah... Nah I'm good, tank's fur' the gesture though"I reach out to open my bar door again and smile softly."No problem, anytime" my smile is drowned out by the laughing and music from within as the lights from inside cascade out into the darkness of the alley.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
ReaderThe first thing Reader noticed was the stunned faces of her patrons as well as the lady. Though they all seemed to have an eriery but also concerned look about them. She could almost hear they're thoughts 'how the fuck is the skeleton not dead...?'But what can you do when you got a giant skeleton following behind you as you walk towards the door that leads to your home?
That not only you have never opened at this time. But also that you've never been known to let anyone actually go inside the placeSans was even confused himself looking around back and forth at the people scattered in the bar. He was like a puppy really. Following his master making sure to follow behind Reader as she had said.In Readers mind this was so much more to her than what Sans may think. Him obeying her commands sent a shiver of exhilaration up her spineHis steps in time with yours and made a bit of a thump as his pristine black shoes clomped against the wooden floor and Reader unknowingly to Sans was reveling in his presence. As quick as she preened towards his obedience she shut her own mind up.'He may be mine but that doesn't mean that he can be taken...' She spoke to herself. Telling off the thoughts that crept up into her brainFinally making it across the floor she made a relieved sigh.Reader slowly opened a small door that was simple but reeked of majesty. Quickly Reader went inside grabbing the skeleton's hand so that he could quickly be pulled inside to conceal the inner workings of her solitary home.Sans thankfully was able to crouch down in time so that his head didn't meet the door's head board."So thought I'd ask yeah but uh, why we're they so..." Sans reached for the answer hoping that Reader would finish his sentence.Reader sighed, "I'm sorry about them, you will most likely be the first person to step foot in my home... Alive that is... Or not being..." Reader paused, "questioned if you understand what I'm implying.""The first? You bone-ing me on are ye?" He jested still holding Readers hand while small red beads made they're way down his face.Reader nodded conceading them to silence. The wooden steps were not creaky but they did make a Clank as they went up finally bring them to another door. It was a pastel yellow.Inviting but also nerving for someone like Reader."This really yer' digs sweetheart? Don't exactly match the owner... No 'fence" Sans murmered."None taken, I in actuality like a bit of colour Mr. Sans" I chuckle as I open the door. It's a small room, not bigger than the bar down stairs but big enough to have everything needed."Okay so... Bit awkaward so uh... This is my bedroom,"Reader gestured to the space it was neat but also busy. Sans could see trinkets littering the space, ranging from figurines to books, to random nicknacks that look like they had been from a old ladies home. There was lace scattered around neatly, some in the curtains that showed a window that looked out over Ebott city. While others were just laying quietly on small tables or such. There was hints of pastel colours everywhere but mainly yellows, blues, and whites."To the left on the door that has two dots..." She pointed to a door with two black dots that was all white, "is my laundry room.""To the right is my bathroom it has one black dot as you can see." Reader walked more into the centre of the room to give sans a better look."And over there... Is my kitchen, small I know but it does the trick," it was a small kitchen but just like the rest of the house was littered with pastels. Though this room was a bit more of reds, whites, and blacks than everything else.It was a complete contrast to the rest of the house."So what do yeah think?" Reader was grinning, "ain't to bad if I say so myself."
Till next time!
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Not my kinda digs but I like it, feels like... A den? Wait- like a good den and very pretty!"Beeds of red sweat Cascades down his face, his smile tight with a small amount of fear at his judgement of the face.Reader cackled at him wiping an Imaginary tear from her eye, "oh your just such an idiot you know that? Don't be so tense I ain't gonna bite you!"A small voice called out to her 'yet.'Reader held out her hand for Sans to take, he placed his hand in yours. Slowly they walked to a small couch in the middle of the room. It was a bit worn and seemed to be used quite well. Evident by the dents from a few people as well as the fraying threads that are sticking up.Despite that it was more comfortable than anything Sans had sat on in a long time.Leather seats, grand stools worth well over what should be brought for were all well and good. But nothing makes a home a HOME than a worn in couch and furniture to matchThat was something that Reader was not at all out of. The more Sans looked around the more he noticed. Nick backs, things laying and eroded away through use.Hell even her carpets had some bald spots, BALD SPOTS!"Hay Sans I'm not all that great at this whole... Relationship thing, but I... I wanna tell yeah something straight got it?" She pointed a finger at his chest directly above his SOUL."I don't think of you as someone that I wanna date just because we are soulmates. I want us to do... Things... Uh... Dates! Dates yes that's what they're called... And um all that stuff so!" She smiled."Let's go on a date, two days from now you meet me here at my bar at 8pm I'll arrange everything!" Reader seemed more excited by the second and Sans just relaxed back into the couch."Okay sweetheart, so the Date is tomorrow right. Should I be ready to be out for a 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘱𝘭𝘦?"Reader looked away blushing from holding her hand to her mouth to stop giggles from coming out. Sans took his chance quickly turning up the heat as he grinned and leaned over to her. A huge smirk on his face."What am I tickling your 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘦?""Godddd those are so pfft badd" Readers eyes creesed with her smile as she chuffed at his puns."Your lucky I would be 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘺 without yeah..." Reader looked away quickly avoiding Sans' proud grin."I sure am love, but I think that concludes my visit. Welp gonna take a short cut see you around sweetheart" with that he winked still sitting on the couch and like he was never even there he disappeared.'Monsters and their magic...' Reader giggled grabbing a nearby pillow and screaming into it in excitement a blush evident on her face.
'I'm going on a date!'
...
Until next time!! Bye bye lovely people!
